Chapters Chapter 10: The Wedding, Hitch
Hitch walked in circles, clearly nervous about what was going to happen in a couple of hours.
“Is Daddy ok, Auntie Sunny?” Sparky asks as he looked at his father pacing.
“He’s going to be fine. Why don’t you go out and play with some of the kids? The wedding hasn’t started, so you can go and have fun, just make sure not to get dirty please, I will call you once we are about to start,” Sunny told Sparky as she ushered him to the door.
“Well, ok, Auntie Sunny,” Sparky said as he happily walked out the door and into the garden of the palace.
“All the villains are secured, I made sure ten times, everypony is accounted for, I made sure twenty times, every…” Hitch rambled as he kept on pacing around the room.
Rolling her eyes, Sunny made her way to the stallion. She gently placed a hoof on his shoulder, which made Hitch instantly scream a little.
“Calm down, it’s just me,” Sunny said as she smiled at Hitch.
“Oh, I’m sorry, I guess I’m just way too nervous about all of this, I never expected this to happen, but now that it’s actually happening, my mind is filled with more and more horrible thoughts about how all of this could go wrong, I ju-” Hitch was instantly cut off as he felt Sunny hug him.
This didn't do much to calm him down, but it was enough to get him to be quiet enough to hear Sunny out.
“Hitch, you really have nothing to worry about, everything is going to be ok, you have taken on way more stress-inducing and fear-inducing stuff in the past, this is no different,” Sunny said as she released Hitch from their hug.
“All you need to do is focus on what’s important, right now and what you need to do when the time is right. I want you to tell me, what is the most important thing right now?” Sunny said as she looked at Hitch with determination.
“For nothing to go wrong in the ceremony?” Hitch said expectantly.
This response received a flick on the snout from Sunny, causing Hitch’s nose to scrunch up in pain and discomfort.
“No! Again, what is the most important thing right now?” Sunny asked again, with even more deterioration.
Wincing a little, Hitch said, “To make sure every villain is properly locked up so that they won't-” Another flick to the nose stopped him from continuing his response.
“No!” Sunny shouted, not in anger, but with determination, “What is the most important thing right now!?” Sunny said, shouting a little now, “I will give you a hint, she is about to be your wife.”
Hitch's eyes widened as he instantly realized what Sunny was saying, Hitch with confidence said, “Zipp.”
“Yes, what is the most important thing right now!?” Sunny asked, shouting a little louder.
“Zipp!” Hitch said a little louder.
“Louder!” Sunny yelled.
“Zipp!” Hitch yelled.
“Louder!” Sunny shouted.
“Zipp!” Hitch shouted.
“Correct, Zipp is the only thing that is important right now, she is the one you have to be focusing on, not the villains or if the wedding is going to go by smoothly, not if somepony is littering or if everypony is accounted for, all that is important is that you and Zipp get married and have a bright future together, understood!” Sunny shouted at Hitch with her face pressed against his.
“Yes, you are right, she is all that is important, she is the one I should be worried about, she is the one that I must say yes to when the question is brought up, she is the one I should love forever and she is the one that is carrying my baby!” Hitch shouted back at Sunny.
“Yes, yes, yes!” Sunny shouted, her wings and horn materialized causing her to glow bright, “You are correct in all of that Hitch, everything else is being taken care of by other ponies, which means you do not have to worry about anything, but Zipp,” Sunny said as she gave Hitch another hug.
Shedding a tear, Hitch hugged Sunny back glad that his childhood friend was always there, ready to steer him back to where he needed to be.
“Thank you, Sunny, I can’t believe how worried I was about all of this, I’m very glad I have you as my friend,” Hitch said as he choked a little due to him being close to crying.
“Awww, you don’t have to thank me, you have been there for me since the beginning, making sure that I wouldn’t get hurt or lost, I just want to pay you back for all of that,” Sunny said as she too was choking a little due to her also getting close to crying.
“It was my duty, and I have made a promise to your father after all,” Hitch said as a few tears started to be shed.
“If only he could see you now, he loved you as if you were his son you know, all he wanted to do is watch the both of us grow up and help each other out in whatever way we could. He knew we wouldn’t end up together, but he also knew that we were inseparable and that the both of us could do anything as long as we stuck together.” Sunny said as she too was shedding a few tears.
An alarm sounded from Sunny’s phone, she took it out and saw the time, instantly gasping.
“Only thirty minutes left, how did time go by so fast,” Sunny said as she looked at herself in the mirror, a bit horrified as she saw that part of her makeup was running due to her crying.
Looking at Hitch, she instantly used her alicorn magic to fix him up and fix herself up, making sure that they looked perfect.
“Ok, ok, ok, you go get to your place, I will go get Sparky and then I will go to my place,” Sunny said a little frantic before running out of the room to go get the little dragon.
Smiling to himself, Hitch chuckled at Sunny’s franticness, he walked to the double doors that lead to the grand hall, and there he saw Misty.
Misty instantly waved at him, as she checked Something on her list.
“You look so handsome, Hitch,” Looking him over, “Almost makes me jealous that Zipp will soon be having you all to herself,” she said, instantly bursting out into laughter showing that it was a joke and she wasn’t being serious whatsoever.
A laughter that Hitch joined, both ponies soon composed themselves, before Misty opened the door allowing Hitch to walk in and get into his place.

Chapter 1: Zipp
As Zipp was laying on her bed, she continued to talk to the pony on the other side of the phone. “Yes Mom, I know that in two days I will have to head back to Zephyr Heights to continue with my Princess studies, I haven’t forgotten our deal. I was the one that proposed it, remember?”
“Oh yes I do dear, I was just making sure you remember and that you have everything you need packed up,” said Queen Haven, looking at her daughter on the screen with a warm smile. However, the Queen noticed that Zipp wasn’t paying attention.
Instead, Zipp was looking at a picture that was next to her bed: it was of her and Hitch, when she officially became the town's detective and assistant to the Sheriff.
Sighing a little, Queen Haven thought of what she was about to say. “Zipp, why don’t you go tell him?” she said softly.
This seemed to instantly get Zipp’s attention. She almost dropped her phone, but managed to catch it before it hit the ground. Frantically Zipp tried to look as nonchalant as possible, “W-what are you talking about, Mother?”
“Sweety, I know that look, and I know who that look is going to,” Queen Haven said with soft eyes and a small smile, in an understanding tone.
Zipp turned bright red and stumbled hard on her words, “Y-you do, M-mother?”
“It’s that sheriff that you hang out with every single day, Hitch if I remember correctly.”
“Ummm—“ was the only thing Zipp could say, as her face started to look like a bright red tomato.
“And don’t you think you can lie to me. I have been in the same position as you when I fell for your father. I know when a pony is falling in love, because I fell in love in the past,” Queen Haven added with a smile and a knowing wink.
Zipp turned away from the camera. With one of her wings, she covered her face because she was starting to feel even more embarrassed by her mother’s words.
“Zipp, please look at me, this is nothing to be embarrassed about, Sweetie,” said Queen Haven in a soft voice.
Slowly, Zipp slowly turned back to the camera. She looked at her mother and said, “I know, Mom. It’s just I have had these feelings since we first met, the moment when he and Sunny went back to Maretime Bay, when Sunny and Izzy failed to unite the crystals. I didn’t want to say goodbye, but I also didn’t want him to leave without one.” She shed a tear as she remembered back when Hitch and Sunny had to leave. “Pipp may have been the one that started to run back to them, followed by Izzy, but I almost left with you to go back to Zephyr Heights before I realized that if we could find a way to unite those crystals, then I would be able to be with him. When that moment came, when you accepted that Pipp and I could stay here in Maretime Bay, I couldn’t find the courage to go ask him, even to this day.”
Looking at her daughter with worry in her eyes, the Queen spoke softly again, “Zipp, you are one the bravest mares I know, and Hitch is one the most caring stallions I have met. What’s stopping you from telling how you actually feel?”
Almost inaudibly Zipp said, “Rejection…”
“Oh sweety, I know that is something scary, but don’t think about that. Once you tell him, you will feel so much better. Even if he doesn’t accept you, at least you will know how he feels, rather than you getting stressed out. It might hurt for some time, but getting hurt is a part of life. One will just have to know how to navigate around that pain so that they may continue on with their lives.” Queen Haven was hoping her words could comfort her daughter, but they didn’t seem like they did.
“But I don’t think I will be able to just navigate myself away from that pain. I don’t think I will be able to take on that pain and live on with my life, I want to be with him, but…” She stopped herself as she felt herself starting to cry. Again she looked away from the camera and hid her head beneath her wing.
Queen Haven took this opportunity to speak up, “You won’t have to take all this pain alone, you have your other friends with you and you also have your little sister Pipp. They will help you get through all that pain, they will be there to comfort you. Zipp, you can go to him, you can tell him, you can take on all that pain if he doesn’t accept you, you just have to trust yourself.”
Zipp slowly turned her head back to the camera, the fur beneath her eyes soaked with her tears.
“Thank you, Mom. I will think about it, I promise.”
“Don’t promise me anything and don’t think too hard about anything. Love is one of those things that one can not think through. You just have to let yourself go and allow your heart to speak the words for you,” Queen Haven said sincerely and with a small smile.
Zipp slowly gave her a nod. With that, both mares said their goodbyes and ended the call. Zipp looked up at the picture again—at Hitch specifically—which caused her to let out another tear. She softly spoke, “I want you in my life, but I just don’t know how to tell you.”
From behind, Zipp heard the telltale noise of Pipp’s phone stop recording, she slowly looked behind her and sure enough, Pipp was right there at the foot of her bed with her phone’s camera pointed right at her.
“Shoot!” was all that she could manage to say, right before Zipp dived right at her.
“Pipp, you get her back right now and give me that phone!” yelled Zipp, as she chased her sister all over the Brighthouse.
Pipp was no athlete, and she knew that it wouldn’t be long until her body gave up and Zipp would catch her. She flew left and right, up and down, she went upstairs and even made it outside the Brighthouse and then back inside, but no matter what Pipp did, Zipp was right behind her. She had to think of something fast, then suddenly she remembered a trick she did to Zipp when there were both still fillies. Pipp started to pump her wings much more, giving herself a bit more distance, before suddenly she dove down, landed, and then shot up again toward Zipp. This caught the older pegasus by surprise and she instantly stopped so that the two wouldn’t collide. The trick worked, giving Pipp enough time to execute the second part of her plan.
Zipp hovered for a few seconds with her front hooves covering her face, expecting the crash that was to come… But there was no crash. Zipp looked behind her and saw the purple tail of her sister quickly turn a corner. Without thinking twice, Zipp raced towards her sister. As she turned the corner to follow Pipp, she ran face-first into an open door. The impact was so hard that the door even broke off its hinges, causing it and Zipp to fall onto the ground with Zipp.
Pipp hovered behind a little bit further away, cringing hard as she heard her sister hit the door and cringing even harder as she saw the door fall to the ground with Zipp. “Z-Zipp, are you o-ok?” she said, worry in her voice.
The only thing that came out of Zipp was a groan, which caused Pipp to scream a little before she took off.
As she was about to fly out of the Brighthouse, Pipp crashed right onto Hitch.
Both of them were lying on the ground, grunting a little in pain. Pipp was the first one to get up. As soon as she realized who she bumped into, she quickly ran to Hitch and spoke with a desperate voice, “Hitch quickly, Zipp needs your help, she’s next to the closet door. I’ll go and help the others down at the beach, see you later!” As soon as she finished saying that, she leaped into the air and flew so fast that the wind she created behind her nearly knocked Hitch off his hooves.
“Wow, I have never seen her fly that fast. I wonder what happened in here?” he said as he went inside, looking around and listening for Zipp. “Zipp, you okay? Do you still need my help?” When he heard no reply, he walked in the direction of the closet and as he rounded the corner, he saw Zipp’s passed-out body on the door.
“Zipp!” Hitch yelled, as he quickly went to her side and started looking her over. He saw that she had a small scratch on her head where she had hit the door and saw that it was bleeding a little.
Quickly picking Zipp up and putting her on his back, he went to place her on her bed, which was a little hard given that Zipp’s bed was elevated. He quickly went downstairs and got some warm water and a towel, as well as some bandages to cover up the bleeding.
As he finished tending to her wounds, Hitch was about to get off Zipp’s bed, only to be stopped because of a pull on his hoof. As he turned to see what happened, he saw that Zipp was nuzzling his hoof, she looked calm and happy. This brought a small smile to Hitch and he leaned down and kissed Zipp in between her nose. As he leaned back, his brain finally caught up to what he had just done. Without hesitation, he took back the hoof Zipp had been snuggling and quickly ran to leave the Brighthouse
Only to be stopped by a voice that he could hear all around himself, “Why are you denying what just happened, Sheriff?”
Hitch looked around at his surroundings, trying to figure out where that voice came from.
“Oh Sheriff, you know very well you can’t see me unless I want you to,” said the voice, still echoing all around Hitch.
“Who are you, and what do you want!?” yelled Hitch. He was shaking a little, not knowing who or where they were, he continued to look around; his face stayed serious and he made sure he stayed where he was.
“Hitch, my boy, you don’t recognize me, and here I thought the last time we met we left on good terms, I did give you all the crystals back and I did promise to behave,” the voice said a little sadly, though it was obviously meant to sound more sarcastic than anything.
Hitch's eyes widened and with shock in his voice and confusion on his face, Hitch asked, “Wait, Discord?”
Out of nowhere confetti and an air horn sounded, something which scared Hitch so much he jumped high in the air, but when he fell back to the ground, he landed on a mattress which cushioned his fall.
“Bingo!” yelled Discord, now appearing in front of him wearing a game show host outfit and having a big smile on his face, “Congratulations, you got the right answer, now what’s your reward, look at the board right there!”
Discord grabs Hitch’s head and turns it so that he may see a board which was not there before. The board did some calculations and then displayed an answer that read, “Love Advice” in bright white letters.
“Oh this one is a good one, you are so lucky, trust me you will love your reward!” Discord shook Hitch's hoof.
Pulling out of the hoof shake, Hitch looked at Discord with pure anger, “Could you turn it down, you’re going to wake up Zipp and right now she needs all the sleep she can get!” he seethed.
“Oh, psh, don’t be so dramatic, I put a sleeping spell on her, she will be able to sleep during a hurricane without even stirring one bit.” As he said that a massive tsunami crashed on both of them, which destroyed the inside of the Brighthouse.
All wet, Hitch squirted out some water like a fountain and hopped back on his hooves even angrier, “You better clean this up!” Hitch demanded.
Snapping his finger, everything that was destroyed because of the wave was back in its place and fixed, as if nothing happened and Hitch was completely dried up.
Looking around, Hitch made sure everything was indeed fixed, looking at Discord with anger still plastered on his face, “Thank you. Now can you please tell me why you are here? And please hurry, I need to get back down to the beach, all that glitter that Sunny made when she saved those three fillies, again, needs to be cleaned up before it contaminates the ocean.”
“Oh you don’t have to worry about being late, I also stopped time so that we can talk for as long as we want to,” Discord said nonchalantly, now floating upside down on a couch while sipping tea.
Trying to wrap his head around what Discord said, Hitch shook his head and composed himself, “Ok, so if I’m not going to be late, what is it that you need then?”
Facepalming, Discord pulled his face down so far that he made a hole on the floor of the Brighthouse.
“Hey, you’re goi-” Hitch was cut off by the hole being fixed, “… Oh, well, umm, thank you,” he said with a bit of shock and gratitude.
Hitch was then suddenly picked up and placed in an interrogation room, and without warning, Discord slammed both hands on the desk, “Ok, so are we going to do this the hard way, or the easy way, because I can assure you, I will make sure you spill all your secrets!”
A second Discord pushed the Discord that was yelling to the side and softly spoke, “Sorry about him, he’s new and has a small fuse. Now, we both know why I’m here, you did see it right at the beginning of our conversation, so why don’t you admit it, and accept that you need it.”
“Wait, are you talking about the ‘Love advice,’ because I don’t need any advice in love,” said Hitch smirking.
Now sitting on another couch, Discord held a pen and a notepad and scribbled some notes, “Refusing to take advice because he is just as hard-headed as any other “macho” stallion, further talking will be needed.”
“Hey now, what do you-” Before he could finish his sentence, Discord put his lion paw on Hitch’s mouth causing him to be quiet.
“Hitch, you do need advice, and I will not leave and resume time unless you listen to me, because this is important, so please let me talk to you about this, it’s what she would have wanted me to do…” that last part was said more softly almost to the point that Hitch couldn’t hear what he said.
“She? Who is she?” Hitch said with confusion on his face.
Everything went black around the two, and as Hitch looked around, he noticed that Discord was nowhere to be seen.
“Hitch, did you know that you and the girls are connected to the elements of the past?” Discord said, his voice coming from all around Hitch.
“What are you talking about?” Hitch asked, now very confused.
“Your souls are all connected to the Elements of Harmony. Sunny has Twilight’s, Izzy has Pinkie’s, Pipp has Rarity’s, Misty has Applejack’s, Zipp has Rainbow Dash’s and you Hitch, you have Fluttershy’s." Discord said softly.
When Discord said Fluttershy’s name, Hitch noticed that his voice was filled with pain and sadness. Now interested in what Discord was saying, Hitch sat down and continued to listen.
“With your souls connected to the Elements of Harmony, that means that you all will gain some of their traits and powers, but most of all their feelings.” Discord continued to say.
That last part caught Hitch’s attention, “What do you mean by ‘Feelings'?’” Hitch asked quizzically.
Discord snapped his fingers and three images appeared, one was of Pinkie and Twilight, both wearing a wedding dress and kissing at an altar, the second was of Rarity and Applejack, Rarity was wearing a wonderful dress, while Applejack wore a suit, and both where kissing at an altar, and then the third image, that one gave Hitch a little pause, because it was of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy was wearing a wedding dress and Rainbow was wearing a suit, both were kissing at an altar. Seeing this Hitch instantly put the pieces together which was a massive shock to him.
“So what you're saying is that my feelings for Zipp is because my soul is connected to Fluttershy? It’s as if we are destined to be together.” Hitch said softly.
“Precisely…” Discord said with a soft voice, “…though that doesn’t mean you have to act upon those feelings, you may reject them if you want, neither accepting nor rejecting is right or wrong, you are one who has full control over your life.” he continued saying with a bit more of a stronger tone.
Hitch thought about the situation that had been brought to him. Once he made his decision, Hitch lowered his head sighing a little, and spoke softly, “The feelings I have for Zipp are my own, even if they are being influenced due to my connection to the Element, I feel as if I have fallen for her myself and not because of my connection to Fluttershy’s soul.”
Smiling a little Discord was pleased with Hitch’s words, “Then why haven’t you told her, you both already have a connection that is very hard to come by, so why haven’t you said a thing to her?”
“I guess I’m just afraid, with how things have been going, mainly with some of the villains we have faced, it makes me scared to think about what a villain would do if they found out we were together.” Hitch lowered his head a little bit lower and again sighing, he spoke in a hurtful tone, “She will become a weakness that I must protect at all cost, but I don’t know if I will be able to protect her in every way. If a villain takes her, I will have no idea what to do and they may just win because of that.” slumping down he talks even softer, “I can’t even properly take care of Sparky.”
Looking at Hitch with sympathy, Discord smiled as he put one of his hands on Hitch’s shoulder, “Hitch, first of all, fear is something that one can overcome, you are a strong and confident stallion I know. You have been taking care of Maretime Bay since you graduated from the sheriff’s training academy and even though there have been a few bumps along the way, you have been an amazing father figure to Sparky, I can tell that he really loves you and he will never forget everything you have done for him.” picking up Hitch he continued to speak, “Secondly, don’t look at her as your weakness, look at her as if she is your greatest strength, she will become your biggest inspiration and confidence, because even if you don’t know what you will do if something happens to her, I know you will still do something to bring her back.” Discord said, sitting Hitch down, as he continued to speak, “And third, as I said earlier, you are an amazing father figure to Sparky and any dragon in Equestria would be lucky to have you as their adopted father, he did choose to stay with you when he could have gone to live with the other dragons after all.”
Wiping away a tear, Hitch spoke, “Thank you Discord, for all of this, I will try to tell Zipp, I promise.”
“Don’t promise me anything, it’s you who has to make the promise too," Discord replied while putting his eagle claw on Hitch’s mouth.
Chuckling a little, Hitch got up and looked around, “Then I promise myself that I'll try to tell Zipp, now if we are done here, could you please let me go and resume time please, that cleaning won’t finish itself.”
“Oh, it will.” Discord said with a cheeky smile as he snapped his fingers which caused Hitch to return back to the Brighthouse and for Discord to disappear, “I will be rooting for you, my boy.”
As Hitch got out of the Brighthouse, he took a few steps outside before seeing Sunny, Pipp, Izzy, and Misty approaching, “Hey girls, how’s the clean up!” he yelled as they were still a bit far away.
“Well, it was strange, just as we were a quarter of the way done, all the glitter just disappeared!” Sunny said as she ran toward Hitch, “ Also I thought I heard Discord laughing, but he said he was going to see if any other place from the old world is still here!”
Rolling his eyes, Hitch walked towards the group and hugged them all, “You all did a good job at least, now all of you go get some rest, the sun is setting and I still have to put this incident in the record books, I'll also have to make some new rules for the beach so that this will hopefully never happen again.” Hitch said.
Hearing this the girls rolled their eyes and went ahead and walked inside, all except for Pipp, “Hey Hitch, how’s Zipp?” she was clearly very concerned about her older sister.
“She's fine, I bandaged her up because she did get a little cut on her forehead, but other than that, she is asleep and will most likely be back up and flying tomorrow. Though I do recommend that you tell her not to fly when she wakes up, her body could still be a little shocked, and attempting to fly could cause her to crash.” Hitch replied.
“Alright, I will tell her that when I see her in the morning. Thank you, Hitch.” Pipp said before giving him one last hug and running inside the Brighthouse.
Turning around and heading to the sheriff’s office, Hitch turned to look back at the Brighthouse and said with great confidence, “I will tell you, I won’t chicken out anymore.”
As the sun rose, Zipp stuttered as she tried to go back to sleep, but it wasn’t possible, her alarm rang and it caused her to groggily wake up. She went to turn off her alarm when she noticed something on the side of her bed that wasn’t there before. It was a lovely looking vase with five roses in it and a small note. She went ahead and grabbed the note and saw it was from Hitch.
As she opened the letter, she felt a sharp pain on her head which caused her to press her hoof to it, that’s when she noticed that her head was banged up, as she felt around, she noticed a small wet spot and when she brought her hoof down, she saw on her silver hoof a small splash of red. Seeing this, she instantly grabbed her phone and opened the camera, putting her camera on selfie mode, she gasped at what she saw, sure enough where she touched was bandaged up, and where she felt a bit of wetness were a few splotches of blood, she slowly took off the bandages, hoping the damage wasn’t too bad, but to her surprise, there was nothing, her head was completely clear.
Shifting to herself, with a bit of confusion, she grabbed the letter and opened it, as she read the note it filled her with love and hope:
“Dear Zipp,
It’s me, Hitch, your sister told me that you needed help when I arrived at the Brighthouse, I was originally going to the Brighthouse to ask for your help cleaning the beach because of the mess Sunny made, but when I saw what happened, I instantly took action and helped you, you had a massive gash on your head, but it should be healed by now (thank Discord for that) so you should be ok, but please be careful, don’t force yourself too much and rest if you need it, I won’t be mad if you have to take time off. If you do decide to come to work, then please wait till I get there. I want to come to check up on you, so I will be at the Brighthouse at around 9:30ish. I really hope you are feeling ok.

“He said love…” Zipp said in her head, a small blush creeping onto her cheeks, “Wait, 9:30!” she suddenly said out loud, as she quickly grabbed her phone and turned it on, in bright white numbers, it displayed 9:15.
Realizing she had less than half an hour to get ready, she instantly threw off her blankets and hopped out of bed before rushing downstairs, where she saw Sunny making some breakfast, with Misty helping and Izzy waiting at the table.
“Hey Zipp, how are you feeling?” Sunny asked as she flipped a pancake up in the air which was quickly caught on a floating plate that had five other pancakes stacked up, “Good catch Misty.” Sunny said, smiling at her.
“Thanks," Misty replied as she floated the plate over to Izzy, before getting another plate in her aura and was ready for more.
“I’m fine, but more importantly, where is Pipp!?” Zipp said fantastically.
This made Sunny worried and she softly said, “She is taking a shower, she got in about five minutes ago, are you ok?”
“Yes I’m fine, I just need to do something before Hitch arrives!” As she finished saying that, she ran to the bathroom and gently pressed her ear to the door, sure enough, Pipp was in there happily singing as she was taking her shower. Gently she turned the knob of the door and it was locked, this didn’t worry her as she quickly flew back up to the second floor and grabbed a lock-picking set.
She then flew back to the bathroom and as softly as she could picked the lock. Once she was successful, she opened the door as softly as she could and then quickly got in without making a sound. Zipp was very much happy that the shower had blackout curtains because otherwise, this would have been impossible. Making her way around, Zipp managed to get to Pipp’s phone, which she then opened and went to her pictures. She scrolled through many selfies, in her head she was constantly saying “No, no, no, no, no, n— Oh wait, yes!” she found the video, and she made sure it was the right one before promptly deleting it permanently.
Once that was done, she checked the time on the phone, 9:29 is what it showed, seeing that she got out of the bathroom without making a sound and happily trotted back to the kitchen.
“Sooooo, is everything ok?” Sunny asked as she saw Zipp sitting down, Misty floated a stack of pancakes to her which Zipp happily ate.
“Yup, everything is all better now,” Zipp said through a mouthful of pancakes. “Everything will be just fine now,"
As soon as she was done with her pancakes, she got up and was about to head upstairs to get her things when the doors to the Brighthouse opened, and in walked Hitch with Sparky on his back. Sparky instantly got off of Hitch and ran to Zipp and gave her a massive hug on one of the legs, and then went on to give Sunny, Misty, and Izzy a hug too before plopping himself on a chair.
“Hey everypony, wow, Sunny, that smells so good,” he said as he lifted his nose to get a better whiff of the pancakes.
“Hitch!” quickly and without even thinking, Zipp ran to Hitch and gave him a hug. As soon as her baring caught up to what she did, Zipp immediately stopped hugging him, a small blush was on her and she noticed that Hitch also had a small bush and wasn’t making any eye contact with her, “S-sorry, I just wanted to t-thank you for helping me out and tending to my wound.” she said with a bit of a shaky voice.
“N-no problem, a-anyways, you look like you are feeling much better, or am I wrong,” Hitch said, with a shaky voice and putting a hoof behind his head, trying to maintain eye contact to no success.
“Y-yeah, I’m all good, I saw your letter and the roses, I also saw that Discord helped, thank you, you two,” Zipp said, still with a shaky voice, also trying to maintain eye contact with no success.
Thinking to himself, he wondered what letter and what roses she was talking about and then once she mentioned Discord, he instantly realized that it was Discord helping him out a little, “Thank you, Discord.” Hitch said in his head.
“You’re welcome, Hitch.” was the response he got not a second later also in his head.
Internally rolling his eyes, Hitch tried to think of what he would say next, “Y-yeah, I wanted to hopefully make you feel better when you woke up and let you know that there will be no hard feelings if you do decide to take a break today, it’s slow at the station at the moment, so you don’t really have to come in unless you want to help with the paperwork.”
“I would love to help you, though we are not going anywhere until you eat, you coming in like that makes it very clear that your tank is empty,” Zipp said playfully.
Almost on cue, Hitch’s stomach rumbled hard which brought another small blush to him, this caused Zipp to laugh and Hitch joined in the laughter.
“Awww, so when’s the wedding?” Instantly both Hitch and Zipp turned and saw Pipp smiling and giggling, she had a towel over her mane and her coat was still a bit damp, Sunny, Izzy, and Misty were also giggling to each other as they saw everything.
Seeing that Pipp wasn’t recording, Zipp only glared at Pipp, her face was bright red, looking back at Hitch, she also saw Hitch was bright red, his face was frozen from shock, and all that came out of his mouth was a small whimper.
Sunny went ahead and flipped a pancake to Hitch which hit him on his face, instantly snapping him out of his shock.
“Ouch, hey that’s hot, you could have hurt me with that!” he said sternly.
“There's the Sheriff we know and love.” Sunny playfully.
All the girls, except for Zipp erupted with laughter and Misty used her magic to get the pancake Sunny threw, she placed it on a plate that had five other pancakes, “These are yours Hitch, come and eat, before you head back to work.”
After all that was over with, the girls and Hitch along with Sparky finished their breakfast and everypony headed out to work. Izzy took Sparky since she wanted to teach him about arts and crafts, which meant that Hitch and Zipp walked together to the sheriff’s office.
Once there, Zipp and Hitch started filing paperwork, losing themselves as they sorted through old cases and new cases, once they were finished, the sun was starting to set and the day was coming to an end, both Hitch and Zipp were exhausted, and as they looked at each other and suddenly looked away, both blushing and not knowing what to do or say now that they are all done with work and are still alone.
“I will be taking my leave then, you’re welcome for the help,” Zipp said before she got up and was about to leave.
“Y-yeah, have a good night Zipp,” Hitch said, as he saw Zipp leave, he then felt a sharp pain on the back of his head.
As Hitch rubbed the back of his head, he heard Discord yell in his head, “What are you doing, this is your chance, Hitch!”
“You know I can arrest you for assault on an officer right!?” Hitch said out loud as he looked up.
“W-what?” Zipp asked as she stood in the open door. Concerned, she then suddenly lets the door close and turns around, confusion clearly on her face.
“Oh, ummm, nothing, I was just practicing, y-you know, just in case somepony attacks me, hehe!” Hitch said in a frantic, sheepish tone in his voice and trying hard to look away from Zipp, but a second later he slumped down and sighed hard, “Well actually, I wanted to tell you something, I just didn’t know if I should have said today or another day, but since you are leaving tomorrow for Zephyr Heights, I might as well say something, I guess.”
“Y-yeah?” Zipp replied questioningly, looking at Hitch with worry and a hit of hope.
“W-well, it’s just…” Hitch said, trying his best to say the words, but his mouth started getting dry.
After a minute of him not saying a word, Zipp got a little sad, her face started to frown a little and her wings drooped also, “it’s just what?” she asked, her voice a little shaky.
After not receiving a reply, her wings fully droop to the ground and she hangs her head down. Zipp felt as if she was about to cry, she didn’t know what to do or what else to say, but then she heard Hitch walking towards her and gently lifted her head to meet his gaze and without hesitation, kissed her.
Suddenly those tears were no longer of sadness, but of happiness, her wings shooting up and her entire body going stiff, she closed her eyes and leaned into the kiss. The kiss went on for five seconds, but it felt eternal.
“S-sorry…” Hitch said trying his best to not sound embarrassed, “I-I will go and put myself into a cell, I could count this as sexual assault since you didn’t give conse—”
He was suddenly cut off as Zipp dove onto him and kissed him, she let her body rest on his, and without thinking, Hitch wrapped his hooves around her.
This kiss lasted longer than the last one, at least a little over a minute before they unlocked their lips. They both just stared at each other, Zipp then just gently laid her head on his chest, a contented sigh escaping both of them, as they both laid there for a minute before suddenly a voice broke the silence, “Well, well, well, looks like I was right.”
Both Zipp and Hitch instantly jumped and untangled themselves and looked in the direction that the voice came from.
There they saw Pipp, Izzy, Sunny, and Misty at the door, Pipp had a smug face, Izzy had a little bit of a shocked face as well as covering Sparky’s eyes, and Sunny had a calm and caring smile, making it seem as if she was happy at what she saw and Misty was hiding her face, blushing hard and clearly embarrassed at what she saw.
The four mares stared at Hitch and Zipp, when suddenly Zipp fainted in Hitch's arms, clearly embarrassed to no end.
Five years have passed since Zipp and Hitch officially became a couple. Many unsolved cases have been solved and the criminals are now serving their time. The three cities have become much cleaner and safer because of the two. All the work that they have done has even earned them the nickname “The Stormblazer Power Couple,” even if the name was cheesy, they gladly accepted it, mainly because they couldn't think of an official couple's name themselves.
Life was great with the both of them and within those five years, Zipp had decided that she should move in with Hitch officially, something that the stallion wasn’t going to deny, they both wanted to be together and so they would be.
This did mean that Zipp did move out of the Brighthouse and took most of her stuff, but she did leave her bed and one of her computers at the Brighthouse because from time to time she would go and sleepover with the other girls, this is one of those times.
The girls were gathered around in a circle, they decided to play a game before going to bed, this game being “Truth or Dare” but with a bottle. Currently, the bottle was pointed at Zipp and she chose Truth.
“Alright Zipp, this isn’t the actual question, but I just need to know first, does Hitch still have those costumes from that old calendar seven years ago?” Sunny asked with a smirk on her face.
Rolling her eyes and giggling to herself, Zipp said, “Yes he does, now what is your actual question, Sunny?”
Grinning, Sunny asks, “Do you two ever “roleplay” with those, late at night, when Sparky is asleep?”
All the girls started laughing and snickering, none of them could control themselves after what Sunny just asked and for a good two minutes.
Zipp blushed and rolled her eyes, responding with a shapely voice due to her still wanting to laugh, “Oh yeah, we do and I gotta say, I can’t wait for him to put on that sailor’s outfit, so I can get on top of him and ri–”
“OK, Zipp you can keep that part to yourself, we do not need to know that!” Pipp said as she stuffed one of her hooves in Zipp’s mouth, no longer allowing her to talk.
Zipp removed PIpp’s hoof from her mouth and said with a sly grin, “Ok Pipp, I will stop, for now,” and with that, Zipp tapped the bottle, making it spin.
A few seconds passed before the bottle stopped, once it stopped it was pointing at Misty. “Alright Misty,” said Zipp with a smile, “Truth or Dare?”
“W-Well, ummmm, t-tru, no, no, no, d-d, no I did that five times already, ummmmm, f-fine, truth!” she finally said nervously.
“Well, alright then, since we are on the topic of partners now, I want to know, has any pony ever caught your eye, as in, have you ever fallen for any pony and are you still in love with them to this day?” Zipp asked as she laid down and got herself comfortable in the blanket she had around herself.
Misty instantly blushed hard, she looked around, first at Sunny, then at Izzy, then at Zipp, before finally landing on Pipp. Pipp smiles which caused Misty to unconditionally smile as well.
“Wait, you are in love with Pipp!?” Zipp yelled out without much hesitation.
This caused Misty to instantly panic as she looked at Zipp, “W-well, I won’t lie when I say that I no longer have those types of f-feeling, f-for h-her!” she blurred out.
Everyone went silent for five whole minutes. Both Pipp and Misty were looking at each other. Then, Misty dropped her head and softly spoke, “It all started when I saw Pipp for the first time. I was with Opaline still and she was using her mirror pool to spy on you all. When an image of Pipp appeared, I couldn’t help, but to think that she was the most beautiful pegasus I have ever seen,"
Hearing this, Pipp placed a hoof on her chest and couldn’t help but to smile at what Misty just said, “So it was basically love at first sight?” Pipp said softly.
“Kind of, well yes, but I didn’t know at the time, being with Opaline for so long made me forget what love was, so I never really understood what those feelings were," Misty said with her head still down.
All four girls looked at her with sadness, Zipp patting Misty on her back to hopefully comfort her a little.
“I didn’t know what love was until Opaline allowed me to spy on you five and as I was spying on you all, I couldn’t help but to keep a closer eye on Pipp, every time I looked at her, I smiled and felt warmth inside my heart, I blushed and was always wanting to be right next to her,” Misty said as she placed a hoof on her chest.
“As time went on, I slowly learned about what love is and the effects it has on some ponies, I didn’t want to admit it to myself at the time because Opaline said that love is nothing but a weakness that should be exploited at all cost, but hearing those words it made me feel awful, I never did believe her words, but I can see her philosophy, ponies can use the love of someone to manipulate others or even the one giving the love, but not everypony is like that,” Misty said as she looked up.
“My feelings only worsened once I found out that Alphabittle is my father and he is dating Queen Haven, also known as the mother of Zipp and Pipp,” As she said Pipp’s name, Misty’s voice softened a little, but she managed to keep talking, “My feelings for Pipp never wanted to leave me alone, which kept on making me feel terrible every time I was around her," Misty continued
Both Pipp and Zipp placed a wing around Misty, something that made Misty smile a little, “Well, things changed even more now remember…” Said Zipp.
“Yeah, our mother is no longer just ours anymore, she is your mom as well and Alphabittle is our father now too.” Pipp continued to say, “Which means that you must feel even more bad now, huh?”
Misty shook her head which shocked the four girls, “No actually, the day our dad and mom got married, I realized that my feelings for you Pipp weren’t gone, but they had changed. Now I no longer romantically love you, but now I love you as a sister, and now all I want to do is for us to work together and help each other out,"
Looking at Zipp she continued, “Zipp, I love you too, just as much as I love Pipp, I also want to just be with you and help you out in whatever detective things you are doing. The day that we three officially became sisters was one of the best days of my life, not only because my feeling for Pipp finally got its happy ending, but because it meant that with that love, we can now grow as a family and make our relationship stronger than ever,"
This earned a tight hug from both Pipp and Zipp, they gave Misty a small kiss on the cheeks before nuzzling her, the kiss and nuzzle made Misty blush hard, but she didn’t mind, she was happy and was more than ready for the future that is ahead of her and her family.
A few months passed after the sleepover, Misty and Pipp were hanging out at a cafe, simply enjoying the coffee and sweet treats it provided.
“So, Misty, I want to tell you something and please think about it, it’s very important,” Pipp said sternly.
This made Misty a little nervous, but she softly nodded, “Alright? What is it you want?”
“So Zipp already said yes and I just want to know if you are on board with this.” Pipp breathed in a little and then spoke, “I want the three of us to be on stage and sing a song together,”
At this, Misty’s eyes widened and she instantly froze. With Misty being very shy most of the time, being on stage was something she could never do, so for Pipp to ask her to willingly go out of her comfort zone, terrified her, she wasn’t able to get any words out or even move due to how scared she just got.
Suddenly, Misty snapped back into reality, she felt somepony hug her and when her vision finally came back, she looked down and saw it was Pipp, on instinct, Misty hugged her back and for a few seconds, it made her heart flutter a little due to her still have some feeling for Pipp, but she pushed those away as Pipp let go of her.
With a saddened expression, Pipp looked at Misty and then gently spoke, “I will tell Zipp that you said no, that you got too scared,” She looked at Misty in the eyes, which made her feel nervous, “But, I will shout you out if it’s ok with y—“
“I will do it!” Misty blurred out without even thinking, which gave Pipp a little pause.
“Y-you will do what?” Pipp shakingly asks, not being able to wrap her head around what Misty just said.
Misty wasn’t able to even comprehend what she even said, but her mouth started to work on its own and before her head could even catch up, she turned away from Pipp and spoke softly, “I-I… I-I… w-will… s-sing… w-with… t-the… b-both… o-of… y-you…” was all she was able to say.
At this Pipp smiled a little, she knew Misty was forcing herself to say those words and was a bit sad that she is forcing herself to say those words, but she was also happy that she said yes, and with a gentle hug, Pipp gave Misty a small kiss on the cheek before leaving the cafe, her final words being, “Zipp and I will hopefully see you at practice,”
Two days passed and Pipp was waiting eagerly for Misty to come in through the doors of “Mane Melody,” Zipp was just on her phone a bit bored, but was also a little excited to perform with her two sisters.
“I’m sorry I’m late!” Misty yelled as she slammed the door open, which scared both Pipp and Zipp so much they both jumped in the air and collided with each other.
“Ouch…” Zipp said, as she got up from the ground and rubbed her head.
“It’s ok, Misty,” Pipp winced as she got up and dusted herself. “So, are you ready to start, here are the sheets with the lyrics,” Pipp said as she handed Misty the piece of paper.
As Misty read the song, she couldn’t help, but smile at the parts she had to sing, “It’s beautiful, Pipp,” Misty said softly.
“Awww, thank you, I tried my best on this one, I really wanted to show everypony how much we mean to each other,” Pipp said as she was getting on the stage along with Zipp.
Misty sheepishly got on the stage, she used her mane to cover her face, hoping to hide the fact that she was terrified, but Pipp moved her mane as well as put her hoof on Misty’s chin, she softly lifted Misty’s head so that they would both be looking at each other in the eyes.
“Misty,” Pipp said with a soft voice, “I know you’re scared, but we are both here to help you, this is for the three of us, but more importantly, it’s for you, we both want you to know that we love you and that we will never leave you alone, that we are not only your friends, but your sisters.”
A small tear fell from Misty’s eye, she could feel the love Pipp and Zipp had for her and she knew she could trust them with all her heart. Misty took a deep breath and calmed herself down, she looked both Pipp and Zipp in the eyes and nodded.
The first day was a bit of a disaster, Zipp and Misty were constantly missing their parts and Pipp was accidentally bumping into them, due to her not being used to singing with others.
The second day was basically the same, though Misty learned quickly from her mistakes and was starting to get the hang of it, Zipp on the other hoof, was still having trouble.
A week has passed before the three sisters were finally able to sing and even dance a little together, an accomplishment that made them happy and confident.
“Alright, it’s looking like we are getting the hang of it, but it’s looking like we might need another week at least, but that will give me enough time to get the word out that we are going to perform live soon,” Pipp excitedly said as she twirled around the air.
“Wait, we are actually going to go on stage!?” Misty shouted in surprise, she was terrified of the fact that she would be going on stage, in public.
“Ummmm, yeah? Why else do you think we are also practicing how to dance it out?” Pipp asked quizzically and looked at Zipp who was just as confused.
“I-I thought we were j-just having fun…” Misty was now scared and was looking at both Pipp and Zipp rapidly, not being able to look at either one for more than a second, “I-I forgot that we were actually going to go on stage, I-I don’t think I can do this, I-it was fun, b-but I th-think I—”
Without any warning, both Pipp and Zipp instantly hugged Misty. Misty squeaked a little at the sudden contact, but instantly closed her eyes and hugged back, she wanted to cry, but she fought back the tears as best as she could.
“Misty, you don’t have to be scared,” Zipp said softly.
“We will be singing together, you won’t be alone up there on the stage,” Pipp added softly.
Misty hugged back, they stayed there hugging for a few minutes before parting. Misty nodded at both Pipp and Zipp, assuring them that she would try her best.
The week had passed and the three mares got their routine down perfectly and tomorrow was going to be the day that they would go to Zephyr Heights to perform. Misty was nervous out of her mind, she was shaking hard and the slightest sounds made her jump, which was very often since the three of them were at backstage of the stadium that was built in the middle of “Zephyr Heights' Park”.
Pipp was singing a few solo songs and a few others such as Ruby Jubilee, The Dreamlands and Electric Blue were singing some of their new songs. Misty, Pipp, and Zipp were supposed to sing at the end so that the three sisters could have the honor of closing the event for the night.
“I-I can’t do this,” Misty whimpered as she was starting to back up, she hit a wall which caused her to yelp a little and instantly curl up into a ball, both her tail and mane as well as her hooves covered her face, “I-I think I should go down and join I—”
A gentle hoof was placed on her head, and this caused her to squeak a little, but when she looked to see who touched her, she calmed down a little as she saw Zipp with a soft smile. “Hey, you’re going to be ok…”
Misty started to tear up a little, which caused Zipp to lay next to her and wrap her hoof around her. Zipp gently wiped away the tears and spoke gently again, “… You know I’m scared too, right?”
Misty allowed Zipp to clean her up a little and then looked at her, “R-really?”
At this, Zipp smiled and nuzzled Misty, something that Misty didn’t reject. “Oh yeah, but I do have a trick to get over my fear. Do you want to know?”
Misty softly nodded, she fully calmed down at this point and was now simply listening to what Zipp had to say.
“I pretended we were back at ‘Mane Melody’ just the three of us, no one else, with me pretending, I simply forgot that there was a crowd watching my every move, I started focusing on the music and just let myself go,” Zipp exclaimed.
Misty looked at her a little confused, but she instantly understood what she was saying. She smiled and hugged Zipp hard and gave her a little kiss on the cheek, “Thank you, Zipp. I don’t know if it will work for me, but I will try my best…” Leaning away from the hug, she looked Zipp in the eyes and with some courage, “… For the two of you,”
Soon, both mares heard Pipp talk on the microphone, “Alright, mares, colts, fillies, and foals, this will be the last song of the night, it’s a special song that both my sisters and I have practiced, it's a song that shows just how close we are as a family every since our parents have gotten married two months ago, so give it up for my sisters, Zipp and Misty!”
As Pipp ended a small band started to play the song and the curtains opened to reveal both Misty and Zipp:

As Misty sang the last part, Zipp and Pipp hugged her and both of them kissed her on the cheek, which made the whole crowd awww at the display of sisterly love.
“You’re never going to be alone anymore Misty…” Zipp said softly.
“You’re a part of this family…” Pipp added.
“And we will forever love you,” Spoke a soft voice from behind, two wings wrapped around the three mares now revealing that it was Queen Haven who said those words.
“You can come to us whenever you need somepony, all you have to do is ask and we will be there in a blink of an eye,” Alphabittle chimed in as he walked on stage.
Queen Haven opened a wing allowing for Alphabittle to join the hug, which he happily joined in, loving the warmth of his wife's wings and his daughters.
The entire crowd cheered in joy and happiness at the family, chanting the “family” over and over again.
Both Alphabittle and Queen Haven looked at each other, they both smiled before leaning in and kissing each other.
Not being able to hold it in anymore, Misty started to cry, tears of joy running down her cheeks as a magazine photographer readied a camera to take a picture, Misty forced a smile as big as possible to show that her tears were not those of sadness and loneliness, but of love and joy, the picture taken showed that moment in time as one that should never be forgotten. There was true love between the five ponies, there was no doubt about it.
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. It was a bright sunny day, the birds were chirping and the crabs were snipping, everything was wonderful and ponies were considered crazy if they didn’t spend it outside today.
“Uuuuuuhhh!” A purple unicorn groaned as she sat at a table in the Brighthouse, she threw a crumpled-up piece of paper at the trash can, the paper itself just bounced off other crumpled-up pieces of paper.
“Ok, let me try again.” Izzy said as she started to scribble something on a sheet of paper, "No, no, no, that’s not enough, Uuuuuuuuhhhh!” She yelled again as she crumpled up the paper and tossed it toward the trash can.
“Ummmm, Izzy? Are you ok?” a voice behind her asks.
As Izzy turned around, she saw a pink pegasus walking up to her, “Oh, hey Pipp,” Izzy answered as she turned around.
“Are you ok, Izzy? Because you are looking and sounding frustrated.” Pipp said as she placed a hoof on Izzy’s shoulder.
“Weeeeell, it’s a bit embarrassing to say, but yeah, I am a bit frustrated,” Izzy said as she slumped down on the table.
“Is it because you can't figure out what to do or where you can take Sunny on a date?” Pipp asked her.
“Ummmm, how did you know?” Izzy questioned, she started to scoop up all the papers around her, trying to hide as much evidence as she could.
“There’s a lot of papers in this trash can behind you," Pipp uncrumbled a piece of paper as she smiled impishly. "Are you planning to take her on a date or plan a wedding with her, or are you going to take her to your bed…?” Pipp started to blush hard as she asked, the words starting to slowly come out of her mouth as she turned her head to Izzy, who was equally staring at her with a massive blush.
The awkward silence lasted for a minute and Izzy just slowly turned her chair so that she would be facing her desk. Pipp on the other hoof, just stuffed the spicy piece of paper under her wing, trying her best to compose herself.
“Anyways, it’s looking like you are just overthinking this, you know Sunny is a simple mare, so just try to do something simple for her, think of a date you know she would be free, and then take her out, don't say it’s a date, just tell her that it’s just a simple hang out," Pipp told Izzy as she moved next to Izzy.
“I already have a date in mind, the problem is, she will be working. Which means that I will have to think around that, which is why I’m getting stressed out," Izzy said as she looked at Pipp.
“Oh, which one is it?” Pipp questioned.
“It’s in three days, you can check your calendar if you want to see,” Izzy told her as she slumped down on her chair and desk and started to write out another plan.
Pipp did as Izzy told her and she went ahead and opened up her calendar app, as she looked over three days from today, she saw the four words which made her eyes widen a little, “Hearts and Hooves Day,” Pipp said out loud.
Izzy simply nodded before crumpling up the paper she was writing on and throwing it into the trash can.
“Another problem is that I don’t actually know if Sunny loves me in that way. I know she loves me as a friend, but as a marefriend? Well, I think she likes me that way, but she is very hard to read sometimes, always ready to make friends and making sure everypony gets the attention they deserve,” Izzy told Pipp.
“Yeah, Sunny can be quite tricky sometimes, she is almost always smiling and spreads friendship wherever she goes, I don’t even know if she has ever thought about anything, but friendship,” Pipp told Izzy as she moved a chair next to her and sat beside her.
“I just don’t want to mess up anything between us. It’s hard enough to think of what to do if I do ask her out, and it’s even harder to try and do it without the possibility that she might get weirded out by me and would no longer want to be my friend,” Izzy spreads her hooves out on the table, making Pipp feel bad for the mare.
“Tricky situation indeed.” Pipp thought for a second before a plan came to her, “Hey Izzy, are you still able to contact Comet?”
“Yeah, why?” Izzy questioned as she turned around.
Happy with her response, Pipp grabbed a paper and started to draw out a plan for Izzy, it was a simple one, one that was sure to work.
Once Pipp was done, she gave the paper to Izzy allowing her to read it over. As Izzy read what Pipp wrote, a big smile started to form.
“Pipp this idea of yours is amazing,” Izzy said as she hugged the piece of paper.
“I can’t believe I just thought about it,” Pipp gloated a little.
“Alright, time to contact Comet, hopefully, he will be free.” Izzy happily pranced out of the Brighthouse and made her way to “The Boardtrot” to open up the portal to go see Comet.
In Izzy’s heart, she was praying for this plan to work. As she ran through the crowds of ponies at the amusement park and as she reached the middle of the dock, she concentrated her magic which caused the crystals that were powering the park to glow bright.
Eventually, the crystals shot a beam in the middle of the dock which formed a portal. Without hesitation, Izzy dove into the portal, placing a sign behind her that read “Do not enter, private portal, staff only.”
Once inside, Izzy began her search for Comet
“Oh hey Izzy, is there something you need?” Comet cheerfully said.
“Comet, I need your help with something. Are you free this ‘Hearts and Hooves Day’?” Izzy excitedly asks.
“Why yes, Izzy, my plans are free that day, Violet will be with Aurora that day,” Comet told Izzy.
“Do you still remember how to make smoothies?” Izzy questioned.
“Well yes, I do.” Comet cheerfully replied, making Izzy smile wide.
“Good.” Izzy said excitedly, “Then this plan will come along just great.

Chapter 8: It’s Happening
“What a beautiful sunset,” Zipp said as she sighed a little, she brought a cup of lemonade to her lips and took a sip.
“Yeah, it sure is,” Hitch said as he sat next to Zipp at the beach.
After dating for six years now, both ponies became inseparable, they spent so much time together, not just as coworkers, but as lovers, going out on many dates and just simply hanging out together, enjoying each other’s company, but something was missing and Hitch wanted to fix that.
He managed to convince Zipp to go to the beach with him, something they have done many times, but this time, this time was a little different.
A crab came up to both of them, dressed as a little butler, and he made some crab noises which on instinct Zipp turned to Hitch, “No Herald, we are ok on drinks.”
Herald made a few other noises, at which Hitch nodded, “Alight, thank you for telling me.”
“Oh come on, when is he going to say it!” Pipp shouted, her, Izzy, Sunny and Misty along with Sparky were on top of the Brighthouse, all four of them with a telescope, Pipp had one for her cameras with a few lenses so that it could zoom in on the couple.
“Be patient Pipp, Hitch will say it in a bit, you just have to wait,” Sunny said as she patted the smaller mare.
“Well, at least the fans are liking the cute time.” Izzy said as she looked on her phone at the livestream, “There are already over fifteen thousand ponies watching.”
“Are the mics working, I told those crabs to make sure they are buried deep enough so that they won’t be visible, but also so the sound can still be captured,” Pipp said as she got right next to Izzy to watch the stream with her.
“Yup, everything sounds nice and clear,” Misty said as she was on the other side of Izzy also watching the stream.
“So, mind telling me something, Hitch?” Zipp said as she looked Hitch right in the eyes.
“Y-yeah, what is it?” Hitch said, a little shaky as he tried to look calm.
“Why did you ask me to come out here out of the blue? The view is nice and it’s very calming, but there's no special occasion, you know you can't hide anything from me, I am a detective after all.” She spoke softly as she leaned on Hitch, making it so that she was now right up against Hitch’s chest.
“Oh no, she is going to ruin the surprise!” Pipp shouted.
Hitch leaned back as Zipp inched closer to him, “W-well, can’t I just take the mare I love on a little date?”
Zipp moved in a little closer, she leaned onto Hitch and whispered in his ear, “I know you’re hiding something and I will figure it out.” She said as she then nibbled his ear.
As soon as she nibbled his ear, Hitch’s hind leg began to kick as if he were a dog who just got scratched on the right spot.
“The four girls and the dragon on the top of the Bighthouse instantly started laughing hard at this, the chat also started to flood with hearts and laughing emojis, showing that all the viewers were loving it.
“Z-Zipp, I told you not to do that!” Hitch shouted, but he wasn’t mad, his face was completely flushed, and wasn’t able to look Zipp in the eyes.
”Awwww, did my little Hitchie-poo get a little too flustered because of me? We have been dating for six years now and I am still able to get you to blush.” Zipp said as she kissed him on the cheek.
Hitch was about to say something, but a seagull swooped down and landed on his head. The seagull chirped a bit and Hitch’s eyes widened a bit.
Zipp looked at him puzzled and then out of nowhere, three crabs carrying a cake came to them and placed the cake in front of them.
“I told Pipp to wait till I gave her the signal.” Hitch hissed at the seagull, the seagull just chirped at him, and Hitched just looked right at the top of the Brighthouse with a scowl on his face.
Pipp knew he wasn’t able to see her from that distance, but she was able to see the scowl from the cameras and all she could do was smile nervously.
“This cake looks delicious, Zipp said as she got the knife from another crab.
“Wait, hold on Zipp, before you cut into the cake, I just want to know something,” Hitch shouted as soon as Zipp was about to make the first cut.
“Uuhh, what is it, Hitch?” Zipp asked quizzically.
“D-do you love me, as in, if you had the choice to be with me forever and possibly have a family one day, would you love to?” Hitch asked softly, he was clearly nervous and was not able to look Zipp in the eyes as he proposed the question.
At this Zipp laughed a little, before responding, still giggling a little, “You know very well that I love you very much. Would I want to start a family one day? I don’t know, but if one day I do decide to have a filly or a foal, I would love for them to be ours, plus we already have Sparky, he is practically my son by this point and I do love him as if he is my son.” Zipp nuzzled Hitch, which Hitch lovingly accepted.
With that said, Zipp then went ahead and started to cut the cake, but she was surprised as she felt something hard. Confused, she cut around the hard object and took it, she was shocked to see what she found.
“Well, why don’t we make things more official?” Hitch asks as Zipp took out a small box.
Zipp opened the box and saw a familiar-looking ring, “When I asked the Queen for her blessing to ask you to marry me, she gave me this ring and told me to give it to you once I felt like the time was right,” Hitch said as she looked at Zipp.
Zipp looked at Hitch in shock, as he got up and took the box from her, and kneeled down at her, “Princess Zepharyna Storm, would you do the honors of marrying me, officially joining both Zephyr Heights and Maretime Bay as one and allowing me to become your prince?”
Without hesitation, Zipp instantly tackled Hitch to the ground and gave him a massive kiss. The Sheriff of Maretime Bay was not expecting this reaction and was shocked by the sudden affection that Zipp was giving him.
As his mind caught up to what just happened, he leaned onto her and kissed her back, he wrapped his hooves around her and brought her closer to him.
Zipp feeling Hitch pull her closer to him, she let herself down onto him, now resting on top of him.
As their lips part, in a daze, Hitch looked into Zipp's eyes lovingly, “I take it that's a—” Hitch was about to ask before being cut off by Zipp
“It’s a yes, my prince,” Zipp said eagerly and with tears of joy in her eyes as she rested herself on him.
Hitch chuckled a little as he heard her call him “her prince,” but he didn’t mind; he just continued to hug his new fiance.
The four girls just watched the two in the livestream, they squealed at the couple, especially Pipp who was just celebrating the fact that her older sister was actually going to get married and not be a lonely grumpy mare.
As Zipp laid on Hitch, she then brought her mouth close to Hitch’s ear and spoke, “It’s a good thing you asked me to marry you, because now it’s a good time to tell you, I’m pregnant.”
At this, Hitch froze, and the girls at the Brighthouse also froze, with Pipp nearly falling from the air, thankfully Izzy caught her with her magic, and the chat also went quiet as everypony was processing what Zipp just said.

Chapter 11: The Wedding, Finally
All the ponies were waiting in their respective positions, Sunny, Izzy, and Discord were next to Hitch while Pipp stood behind the spot where Zipp would be standing once she arrived, all the mares wore elegant dresses that matched Zipp’s, but much shorter and instead of them being white they were colored to match Zipp's mane.
The Queen was standing behind the altar trying desperately not to cry, but it was proving to be a futile challenge.
The Grand Hall was heavily decorated thanks to Discord, he made sure everything looked perfect, decorating the walls with many bright colors and floating crystals that refracted the sun’s light, bathing the Grand Hall in every color of the rainbow, he even used his magic to force the sun to set a little to make the lighting just perfect.
“You really outdid yourself Discord, it looks wonderful. Although are you going to place the sun back to its original place once the ceremony is done?” Sunny asks Discord while complimenting his work.
Discord adjusted his collar and blew a small raspberry and waved his claw at Sunny, “Don’t worry about that, if my calculations are correct, I wouldn’t need to move the sun at all, the ceremony should last until sunset which means all I will have to do is untether it and let it go on its merry way. Oh, how furious would Celestia get at me knowing I was doing this,” sighing a little, Discord frowned a little, “I miss her telling me off, it was fun teasing her and Luna.”
“You three never really got along together, huh?” Hitch asked.
“Oh, we got along just fine, by the time it… it was… it’s as if they were my own sisters and I was their older brother, I protected them when they needed protection and gave them hope when there was none,” A small tear fell from his eye, but he instantly wiped it away. “Now don’t you dare make me cry about the past, make me cry about the two of you,” Discord said as he instantly composed himself.
Both Hitch and Sunny nodded softly at Discord, with Sunny even placing a hoof on his side to comfort him a little.
Two minutes passed and Hitch was starting to get nervous, but he tried to keep his cool, hoping that nopony would notice.
“Here is some water," Sunny said, noticing Hitch's nervousness.
“Th-thank you, it’s taking a long time, hu…” Hitch said as he shuffled a little due to him being nervous.
“It’s only been five minutes, Hitch. Be a little more patient, ok,” Sunny told Hitch as she placed a hoof on his shoulder.
“Only f-five… And here I thought an hour had passed…” Hitch said, clearly extremely nervous and unable to think straight.
“Sunny, do you want me to calm him down?” Discord asked Sunny, whispering in her ear.
“No, no, no, this is something he needs to go through himself, so no calming him down in your way, which if I guessed right, was using magic,” Sunny said as she turned to Discord.
“Fine, I understand where you are coming from,” scoffed Discord.
“Hitch, just take a deep breath…” Sunny said to Hitch as she took a deep breath herself.
Hitch followed her instructions and he took a deep breath.
“And now, slowly breathe out…” She said as she slowly exhaled herself.
Following her instructions, Hitch also went ahead and slowly exhaled.
“Now close your eyes and count to ten…” She said, closing her own eyes.
“One”
“Two”
“Three”
“Four”
“Five”
“Six”
“Seven”
“Eight”
“Nine”
“Ten”
They both counted slowly; once the counting was done, they both opened their eyes, and Hitch instantly let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding.
“Thank you, Sunny, I really needed that,” Hitch told her as he gave her a hug.
“No problem, Hitch,” Sunny said as she returned the hug.
As they parted from their hug, the piano started to play, and everypony in the stands stood up and turned to see the bride.
Everypony gasped as they saw Zipp in her dress, they were shocked to see just how beautiful she looked.
Together, Zipp and Alphabittle walked forward, Zipp had a massive smile as she saw Hitch’s reaction. He was in awe, his mouth was opened and for the entire time it took for both Zipp and Alphabittle to walk to the altar, he didn’t even blink once.
As Zipp reached the altar, everypony sat down as the ceremony was about to commence. Alphabittle went to sit down in a stand that was reserved for the family and Misty took her place next to Pipp on Zipp’s side.
She giggled at Hitch’s reaction, which caused him to shake his head and compose himself.
As Zipp got to her spot, Queen Haven cleaned a tear before she started, “Ahem, mares, stallions, fillies, and colts, we are gathered here for an event that is still rare for us. The marriage of two ponies, both from a different clan. Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, from the Earth Pony Clan, and Princess Zepharyna Storm, from the Pegasus Clan. Both ponies ended up falling for each other, despite their differences, they have faced many trials in their relationship and they will no doubt face even more trials as this chapter of their lives ends and another one begins, one that marks their unification in marriage. Now with that said, Princess Zepharyna Storm, would you like to say your vows?”
A small tear fell from Zipp’s eye, “Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, since the first time I saw you, I knew we had a connection unlike any other, I was afraid to confess myself to you, but that day you kissed me in the office, the day after I had come here from Zephyr Heights, was the best day in my entire life, I never wanted to leave your side from that day forward, so when I say, I Princess Zepharyna Storm take you, Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, to be my husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life. I love you, and I want everypony in Equestria to know that.”
As Zipp finished, ponies were awed at Zipp’s words, Hitched wiped a tear from his eye as he composed himself getting ready to say his own vows. “Princess Zepharyna Storm, in the beginning, I would have never expected to be with a pegasus, it was an unheard of thing and everypony would have batted an eye if you weren’t of the same race, but things changed since then and now look at us, an Earth Pony and a Pegasus Pony, about to get married, and I can't think of a better ending to those dark times, looking at you and being with you, it’s like an angel is with me 24/7, I can never get enough of you and I wish to be with for the rest of my life, I love you and I to want everypony in Equestria to know that.”
Again the whole crowd was awed at Hitch’s words, they clapped lightly and soon went back to quietly listening.
A unicorn placed a plate with two pieces of bread and quickly walked to the side to await his part.
“Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, may you please pick up one of the pieces and feed it to Princess Zepharyna,” Haven said.
Hitch followed her orders and picked up one of the pieces, he gently raised it to Zipp's lips and she went ahead and took the piece in her mouth and ate it.
“Princess Zepharyna, may you please pick up the piece of bread and feed it to Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer,” Haven said.
Zipp followed her orders and picked up the piece of bread and raised it to Hitch’s lips and he went ahead and took the piece in his mouth and ate it.
“What the two of you did is share each other’s flesh with one another, this symbolizes that now the two of you are bonded by the flesh,” Haven said as she ushered the unicorn to take the plate.
Another unicorn stallion came to them with a cup filled with wine and as he set the tray on a small table in front of the podium, Queen Haven softly spoke, “Those were wonderful words you two, I think I can speak for all of us that we can feel the love that both of you have for each other, we can see that both of you are meant to be and even if times get rough, you two will fight together to stay together.”
“Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, may you please pick up the cup,” Hearing her words, Hitch did as he was told, “Now please, allow for Princess Zepharyna Storm to take a sip and then set the cup back down,” doing as he was told, Hitch brought the cup to Zipp’s lips and allowed for her to take a sip of the wine, he then went ahead and placed the cup back on the table.
“Now Princess Zepharyna Storm, may you please pick up the cup,” Hearing her words, Zipp did as she was told, and went to pick up the cup, “Now please allow for Hitch to take a sip and then set the cup back down,” doing as she was told, Zipp brought the cup up to Hitch’s lips and allowed for him to sip the wine, she then went ahead and placed the cup back on the table.
“What the two of you did was share each other’s blood, meaning that now the both of you are not only bonded by the body but by blood too,” as she said those words, another unicorn stallion went to pick up the cup and placed a rope that was decorated with flowers and had two wide knots.
“May the two of you place the knot on each other's necks,” Doing as they were told, both Zipp and Hitch picked up the rope and placed the knots around each other’s necks, “The representation of this now shows that the two of you are now not only boned by body and blood, but by soul too, this now means that the two of you are now officially one, that no power in the world or universe can ever separate the two of you, you two may now take off the rope and place it back on the table.”
With that, both Hitch and Zipp went to take off the rope from each other and placed it back on the table, the unicorn stallion went to pick it up and Queen Haven spoke, The two of you show great promise, the family the two of you build in the future will not only be raised by strong, kind and caring parents, but also by parents that will love each other for eternity.”
“Now before we continue, I must say, if there is any pony out there who wants to object, please speak now or forever stay silent, if there are none, then we may continue,” with those words being said, everypony went silent for a minute, some were even ready to attack, just in case there is one.
“Then we may now continue,” Queen Haven said as she turned to look at the two soon-to-be wedded couple.
“Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, do you take Princess Zepharyna Storm as your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?” Queen Haven asks as she looks at Hitch.
“I do,” Hitch said, having a big smile.
“Princess Zepharyna Storm, do you take Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer as your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?” Queen Haven asks as she looks at Zipp.
“I do,” Zipp said, having a big smile.
“May the rings be brought forth, please,” the Queen says, and on cue, Sparky walks to the two ponies and presents the rings. “Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, may you please take the ring and place it onto Princess Zepharyna Storm,” following her orders, Hitch took the ring which was on a golden necklace, and placed it on Zipp’s neck.
“Princess Zepharyna Storm, may you please take the ring and place it onto Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer,” Zipp did as she was told and picked up the ring which was on a similar-looking gold necklace as Zipp’s, she went to place it on Hitch’s neck.
“With the rings now on each other, this now means that everything has now been sealed and with that, Sheriff Hitch Trailblazer, you may now kiss the bride.”
As soon as Queen Haven said those words, Zipp instantly tossed herself onto Hitch, something that the stallion was all too ready for, and caught her allowing for the momentum to bring their lips together and locked them tight onto each other.
The crowd cheered at the two ponies, as they kissed, the crystals that were floating popped into confetti showering the grand hall with bright colors as every bit of confetti caught the light and created their own rainbow.
The two soon parted their lips and turned to face the crowd and then ran down the aisle and to the doors as the ponies tossed rice and confetti at them, they both laughed and giggled as they ran, and soon they reached the garden of the palace and there was a massive buffet of food with a cake that easily stood two stories tall, clearly meant to feed the massive crowd of ponies of a few thousand or so.
Smelling the cake, Zipp couldn’t hold herself and went to dive into it, but thankfully Hitch anticipated her action and quickly caught her before she was able to even spread her wings.
“Easy there, Honey, you will get a slice in a bit, just relax,” Hitch said as he pulled her back and wrapped his hoof around her neck.
“I-it wasn’t m-me…” Zipp said as she continued to just stare at the cake, she soon winced a little as she pressed her stomach, something that instantly made Hitch worry.
“Z-Zipp are you ok?!” He said as he started to look her over.
“Y-yeah, that was the first kick,” she said as she giggled, “Guess they are the one that is forcing me to crave the cake, I’m guessing they will be a massive cake lover once they are born,”
Hitch laughed a little as Zipp said those words, he gently rubbed her stomach feeling another kick, the sudden stress of the situation washing over him as the kick reassured him that their baby was going to be strong and healthy when they were finally going to be born, he gently hugged Zipp and gave her a kiss on the cheek before softly speaking, “let’s give them what they want then, hopefully, that will calm them down,”
Suddenly the crowd behind them awed at the two, scarring them as they forgot where they were.
“Oh, that will certainly go viral,” Pipp said as she recorded, “Now go and cut the cake, Zipp,” Pipp ushered.
Chuckling Zipp picked up the knife a servant next to her had and went to cut a slice, everypony cheered and soon there was a massive line of ponies eagerly awaiting for their own slice, Hitch gave Zipp the first bite, as Pipp giddily took pictures of the two, she couldn’t wait till she was going to be able to post the pictures the very next day.
Everypony that attended soon were served and they all had an amazing time and soon it was time for the bouquet of flowers to be tossed. The rules were simple, no magic or flying, the bouquet was tossed and a lot of mares screamed and shouted to move towards the flying arrangement of flowers to try and catch it, all but one, a strange mare that jumped over the crowd and dodged many hooves to the face, she caught the bouquet in her teeth, as the crowd of mares saw that somepony caught it, they where obviously disappointed, but congratulated the mare that caught it.
The mare soon took the bouquet to Sunny, revealing that it was Izzy who had caught it. Sunny blushed hard, Pipp and Misty jumped at the two mares, congratulating them. Sunny took the bouquet and leaned to give Izzy a kiss.
“You’re very eager, aren’t you?” Sunny said as she chuckled.
“What can I say, I saw the opportunity and I took it, all because I love you,” Izzy said as she nuzzled Sunny’s cheek.
Sunny continued to chuckle, “In the future, ok?”
“Yup, in the future, right now, it’s Hitch‘s and Zipp’s time,” Izzy said.
Once the party was over, Zipp and Hitch got into the carriage, which had the words, “Just Married” on the back, they took off and went on their way, no pony knew where they were going, but they knew that it was someplace to be alone from everypony, someplace that it would just be the two of them.
Chapter 12: !¿!Zipp Is What!?!
“Hitch, slow down!” Zipp yelled as she was being pulled on a wagon by Hitch, who was zooming through the halls of the palace.
“Zipp, you are about to give birth, I will not be slowing down till I get you to the hospital!” Hitch yelled back as he pushed the main doors of the palace open, once he saw the stairs, he taped his hooves on the ground and a vine grew from the spot he tapped on, which picked them up and placed them at the bottom of the stairs.
He continued to pull Zipp in the wagon across the city of Zephyr Heights, many of the ponies that saw them instantly bowed down and made way for the two.
“Hitch, please go back to the palace, you are being ridiculous!” Zipp yelled as she was starting to get sick due to all the movement.
“How am I being ridiculous, I am trying to take you to the hospital to give birth, what part of that is ridiculous!” He yelled back, turning a corner and seeing the building that was the “Zephyr Heights Hospital.”
“Because we have our own private hospital at the palace, have you forgotten!” At those words, Hitch instantly planted his hooves into the pavement and came to a screeching halt.
He was panting hard, sweat running down his coat as he looked back at Zipp, “Since when did we have our own private hospital…”
“You broke a leg trying to get me some cookies and we took you to it so that they may help you,” Zipp said as she winced, as she was starting to feel the pain already building up.
Two nurse ponies from the hospital came outside, confused at the sight of the two royal ponies, “W-will you want us to bring her in, it looks like it will be too late if we try to take her to the palace hospital at this point,” One of them said as they saw Zipp wincing hard.
“Just take me in already, why was that question even said, obviously it’s too late, so just take me in here now!” Zipp yelled, causing the two nurse ponies to go back in and bring out a gurney.
A unicorn nurse also came out and gently levitated Zipp onto it, which allowed for the other two to pull Zipp into the hospital.
An older nurse came out, she walked up to Hitch and placed a hoof on his shoulder, she laughed a little and spoke softly, “This reminds me of when Queen Haven was having Princes Philomena, her father did the exact same thing as you did, ran all the way over here, forgetting that they would have been just as good staying in the palace,”
She ushered him into the hospital. Hitch saw that four nurses were already calling their friends.
“Daddy, Is Mommy going to be ok?” Sparky asked.
Hitch instantly jumped as he heard him, he turned and saw that Sparky was at the door with Zoom next to him, “I’m sorry sir, but he was insistent on coming here with the two of you,”
“You’re ok, Zoom. Sparky please come here with me and yes, she will be fine, in fact, today will be the day you will be a big brother now,” Hitch said as he hugged Sparky.
At those words, Sparks’s eyes widened, “Really!” He yelled, catching the attention of some of the other ponies.
Hitch chuckled at his son’s reaction, giving him a pat on the head, “Yes, really, now go sit down in one of the other seats, this will take a while and I will have to be with your mother the entire time, so please listen to Zoom, I am being serious,”
“Ok, Daddy,” Sparky said as he went to take a seat next to Zoom.
“Zoom, you have full authority over Sparky, please make sure he doesn’t get into trouble,” Hitch spoke sternly to Zoom.
“Yes, Sir!” Zoom said as he gave Hitch a salute.
“Hello, this is the Zephyr Heights Hospital, am I speaking with Princess Pipp? Oh ok good, I wanted to call you to tell you that Princess Zipp is about to give birth…” The yell was clearly audible over the phone, other nurses looked up to see what happened. “Y-you can come to visit her at the hospital, not the royal private one, but the one that you were born in, Princess,” As she hung up another nurse started another call
“Hello, this is the Zephyr Heights Hospital, am I speaking with Sunny Starscout? Oh ok good, I wanted to call you to tell you that Princess Zipp is about to give birth… Ok, ok, ok, well we will be waiting for your arrival.” As he hung up another nurse started another call.
“Hello, this is the Zephyr Heights Hospital, am I speaking to Misty Bightdawn? Oh ok good, I wanted to call you to tell you that Princess Zipp is about to give birth… Ok, well that is good to know, we will be waiting for your arrival,” As she hung up, another nurse started another call.
“Hello this is the Zephyr Heights Hospital, am I speaking to Izzy Moonbow? Oh ok good, I wanted to call to tell you that Princess Zipp is about to give birth… Oh, that is great, we will be expecting your arrival," he said as he hung up. With all the calls being made, all of them put up their phones with the one that had her ear screamed into going to get her ear checked out while the others went back to work.
An hour later, Zipp was already slowly giving birth, Hitch was with her the entire time, one of his hooves was badly bruised and the other was being held tightly by Zipp.
“This is all your fault, you hear me, why did you do this to me!” Zipp yelled as she squeezed Hitch’s hoof even tighter.
“Y-y-you, w-we-were the one that decided to stop, t-taking, y-your birth control!…” Hitch winced, trying his best to fight the pain, but his wife’s grip was way too strong, as the pain won and he fainted.
“You idiot, wake up!” Zipp yelled as she saw Hitch’s body go limp.
Suddenly a massive crash reverberated throughout the hospital, ponies could be heard screaming and yelling, dust flew everywhere outside completely obscuring the view from the doors.
A minute passed and everything went quiet, a nurse pony slowly walked to the front door, and as soon as he was going to open them, suddenly six ponies burst through the door, flinging the poor nurse pony a few feet away.
“Where is our daughter!?” Yelled both Queen Haven and Alphabittle.
“Where is our Sister!?” Yelled both Pipp and Misty.
“Where is Hitch!? Yelled both Sunny and Izzy.
The other four instantly looked at Sunny and Izzy, their faces were a mix of anger and confusion.
“Oh, Zipp already has you four to worry about her, but no pony even mentioned Hitch,” Izzy said proudly.
The pony that was flung with a shaky hoof pointed at the door labeled “Delivery Room” in bright red letters, soon two other nurses went to aid the poor pony.
“Sorry,” Sunny said as she saw what they did.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh,” Zipp’s scream was clearly audible from behind the doors, which gave everypony enough evidence to say for sure that she was, in fact, behind those doors.
The six ponies started to run to the doors, but another nurse ran and placed himself right in front of the doors, “Sorry, but only the spouse of the pony giving birth may be in there,” he said.
“That is my daughter in there, as Queen, I demand to be let in,” Queen Haven said proudly, “Oh, and please do also let her friends in too.”
“I’m sorry, but rules are rules, even royalty can’t be above them here,” The nurse said sternly.
On the other side of the doors, Zipp was crying hard, her hoof was still grasping Hitch’s tightly, she was having a hard time staying conscious, she had already fainted three times, but woke up immediately due to the pain she was going through.
“You can all wait out here with that guard and dragon,” The nurse said as he pointed to Sparky and Zoom.
The ponies begrudgingly went to sit where they were instructed, frustrated that they were not able to be with Zipp and Hitch at this moment.
Two and a half hours had passed, Hitch was trying his best to not faint a fifth time, and Zipp was already unable to keep on going, but as soon as she was about to faint for the eighth time, a cry sounded throughout the room.
Zipp’s vision was completely clouded over, all she was able to hear were mumbles, she then soon felt something being placed on her chest, she tried to look down and once she was able to, she wasn’t able to keep herself from crying.
On her arms was a healthy earth pony foal, he was a pale yellow with a white diamond on his forehead, he has a light green mane with light pink and blue streaks on the top, his fur went from the pale yellow to a light silver going down to his hooves which were a brilliant silver.
Hitch kissed Zipp on her forehead and gently leaned his head on hers, facing his son, a few tears ran down his own eyes and he didn’t know if it was because he was happy that his son was finally born or because his hooves were in a massive amount of pain.
“He’s perfect…” Zipp said as she leaned down and kissed him.
The foal instantly stopped crying as he felt his mother’s kiss, falling asleep in her arms once he fully calmed down.
“What should we name him?” Hitch asked as he patted his head gently.
“I’m thinking, Shining Star,” She said as she softly placed her forehead on the foal’s, “My little Shiny Star.”
“Sounds perfect to me, Honey,” Hitch said as he hugged her, wincing a little due to the pain in his hooves.
A few hours later, Zipp was in a room with Hitch. She was sleeping soundly as Shining Star was a little lower down on the bed feeding from her.
Softly the doors opened and in came six familiar ponies and a small dragon.
“Hey Hitch, hey Zipp,” Sunny said as she walked in, “How are the two of you?”
“That looks really bad,” Izzy said as she pointed at Hitch’s hooves which were wrapped in bandages.
“Just some bruising, nothing serious,” He said softly, “And please keep it down, Zipp really needs to rest, she has been through a lot.”
Yawning a little, Hitch got up from his chair and walked outside. The six ponies followed him and closed the door softly so as to not disturb the two.
“Tomorrow you will be able to see him, but right now, I need to go get some rest,” Hitch said as he yawned again.
“Oh, it’s a foal, what’s his name?” Pipp asked as she pointed her phone to his face.
Hitch just placed a hoof on her phone and brought it down, “Please Pipp, tomorrow, ok?”
“Oh, alright, tomorrow it is,” she said as she rolled her eyes in a teasing manner.
With that, the eight of them turned to leave, leaving the newborn and his mother alone.
Zipp has a massive smile on her face as she sleeps, she never expected for her life to be like this, but she didn’t want it any other way. The bonds she built with her friends, family, and her husband is incredible, she loves it, she loves where she is right now, she loves her new family and her friends.
