Chapters My Little Spyro, Friendship is Flammable.
CHAPTER 1
Spyro began to wake. He slowly opened his eyes, and blinked a few times as his vision cleared. A room became visible, as everything smelled like paper. Above him was very clearly some wood, yep, this is a wooden house, good thing he didn't wake up startled. Spyro moaned, and rubbed his head, while beginning to remember what just happened.
"Was that a dream?" Spyro asked out loud, beginning to look around more.
"Was what a dream?" Asked Twilight Sparkle, inadvertently answering Spyro's question.
Spyro sat up, and Sparx buzzed around his head making sure her was wide awake. "I guess it wasn't." he replied as he rubbed his eye then held out a claw for Sparx to land.
With a look at the room, Spyro noticed he was in a library, resting on a coach. The whole place appeared to have been carved out of the inside of a tree as well. Spyro got a good look of the library now, noting that it is a REALLY good thing they didn't wake him. Likeliness of it is he'd burn half of it immediately. Sparx was here though, making him feel more at home anyway, and he began remembering the earlier conversation. Spyro's thoughts were then cut, as Twilight was now trotting toward him, hovering a cup of tea with magic emanating from her horn.
"That's a neat trick." complimente Spyro, eying the magic aura with curiosity.
Twilight smirked, "Have you not seen magic where your from?"
"I have, though most the time it was used at me." Spyro answered, slowly moving his head from side to side, observing the library more, "By the way, what happened?"
Twilight set the tea on a coffee table in front of Spyro, "Well, you passed out for an unexplained reason, likely a concussion, so I brought you to my place to rest. That was last night, now it's 8:13 in the morning."
Spyro rubbed behind his left horn, as Sparx flew by his head investigating. Shurggin it off, Spyro picked up the cup of tea and took a sip. Though he never really liked tea, this cup was actually kind of good, not too mention it almost immediately soothed his headache. After a moment, He spoke up in a bit of a condescending tone, "Twilight, is it? I just want to let you now, keeping me in a library was a bad idea, since it apparently wasn't obvious."
Twilight rubbed the back of her head and replied quickly, "Oh, well, I've had Spike here for a while, I figured you'd be fine."
Spyro took another sip of tea, "Eeehhh... I just, got some sort of think when I wake up sometimes. Result of some... experiences." He then looked down, not really feeling like going into further detail.
"Oh, I didn't realize that..." replied Twilight, deciding to change the topic, and looked at Sparx who was currently hovering in place examining her, "What's up with your Dragonfly buddy?", she asked while down and sipped her own tea.
Spyro's mood immediately lightened, "Oh, this is Sparx. He has been my pal since I can remember! This little guy has been through everything I have. He has special magic abilities to. Such as helpful thins like store many items in some sort of magical void at a time, like an invisible weightless backpack." As Spyro finished, Sparx held out his little chest in a narcissistic manner.
"Well it sounds like he is very helpful, I may want to study him sometime, to see where his magical properties come from." Replied Twilight.
Sparx flew back a little bit, eying Twilight nervously, as Spyro laughed under his breath, “I think he doesn’t like that idea.”
“Oh, that’s alright!” replied Twilight, "After all, that's not why you're here."
Spyro set down his cup and clapped his claws together, "So when do I get to stopping this black dragon jagoff that has been causing yins trouble?"
Twilight looked slightly surprised, "I wasn't sure you were up to the task just yet, after passing out... I thought you may have a concussion after that landing from the spell..."
Spyro looked at Twilight, and sighed, "You may be right... I'm also assuming you're also thinking I may not be up to fighting another dragon... I actually haven't fought another dragon before, but believe me, I have been through a lot!"
Twilight looked slightly curious as well a surprised, "Well, I guess that's part of it too, but being through a lot isn't always a good thing. However, now I am curious as to you adventures..."
Spyro thought for a second, getting an entertaining idea "I can sum it up in a good time I suppose. First off, I grew up rather much like a normal dragon, as the 6 Dragons realms lived together in harmony, then everything changed when the Gnasty Gnorc attacked!"
Spyro stood up, and emphasized it like a campfire story, "Only the Dragons, of which were plentiful and had much power could stop him, but when the realms needed them most, Gnasty turned them into crystal! But, he screwed up, and missed me by sheer luck. It did not take long for me to realize I could free the other dragons by touch, so I quickly freed the ones of my realm, and adventured through all of the realms, until I finally met Gnasty face to face..." Spyro smirked at this part, "And, since you would figure now that I am here, I beat his arsenal out of the realms."
Twilight cocked her head slightly in thought, "You should consider storytelling more often... What all did you have to do through the realms? Were there different people?"
Spyro replied "Well, I did have help from fairies often enough, they even save me from falling off of high mountains a few times. Dragons can't fly perfectly without extra energy until they are older.... Then there was one of his main minions, Jacquez... That thing was a freak..."
Suddenly, Spike came into the front door of the Library, carrying multiple bags of generic supplies such as quills, paper sheets, and food for Twilight's Owl. He appeared a bit more giddy and upbeat now, as Spyro stared a bit, considering he was different from the other Dragons he was around.Upon seeing Twilight and Spyro on the other side of the main room, Spike smiled and said, "Hey Twilight! I see Spyro is awake."
"Yes he is, how was the town?" asked Twilight.
"Great! Just had the best talk with Rarity, she offered me a gem!" answered Spike.
Spyro raised his eyebrow scaly thing slightly, "Twilight, I am wondering, how come everything appears to be alright when you say there is an imminent threat?"
Twilight took another sip of tea, "Well, In the last couple years, this town has faced a dark alicorn trying to make the night last forever, an army of parasprites eating everything, and ursa minor rampaging around, the god of chaos turning everything into a madhouse, and basically anything else that could make things that aren't affecting you right then seem minor. However, since we no longer have the elements of harmony, we are not very capable of stopping the current situation."
"So I take it the elements of harmony were some kind of freedom weapon? And I bet there's seven of 'em." asked Spyro
Spike answered, "They are six elements wielded by Twilight here, and her friends. They basically use the power of harmony between ponies, represented by their wearers, to create a powerful beam of mass destruction that can defeat almost any foe and return things to normal."
"The fact they are missing, REALLY concerns us." added Twilight looking more serious now, "And this Black dragon, I am not sure you can take her."
Spyro got the same full of himself smirk again, and replied "I haven't mentioned the angry Wizard and his two dinosaur minions I stopped, or how I played a big part of reunited the dragon realms with the old realms by defeating an evil Sorceress and her many minions?"
Twilight sighed as she thought, "I realize that Spyro had faced some tough foes, though i'm wasn't sure if he is exaggerating. However, I haven't seen him do anything special yet, which made me think I should make sure he is up to the task, perhaps by a series of tests..."
"I do think you have a better chance than us,", said Twilight, "It's just that it'd be more reassuring to have a gameplan to this first. The reason we aren't in a huge rush is because Princess Luna is spying on the Black Dragon as we speak, I believe she is actually up north near the Crystal Empire right now."
Spyro didn't know much of the land at all, but based on the information being relayed, he decided that they had the situation at least slightly under control. Though he would probably need a quick lesson on the geography before he went anywhere to take care of the problem. Not too mention, a Princess doing the dirty work, what?
"In the meantime," started Twilight as she stood up, "I was going to get to know you, while introducing you to our land and such."
Spike then spoke up waving a scroll, "Well, I got a letter ready for Celestia, you want to read it over Twi?"
Twilight stood up, "Yes, of course. Keep Spyro some company real quick, alright?"
"We'll be fine!" Said Spyro leisurely.
As soon as Twilight left, a moment of awkwardness dawned upon the room, as the two dragons sat looking at eachother, then away, knowing at some point one of them would have to ask a question.
"So...." started Spike, "What’s it like where you from?"
Spyro thought for a moment, then replied "Diverse, there's a lot more dragons, but of different types. The whole map is actually set of kind of linear, where grassy areas reside in the realm we call Artisans, the desert areas in Peace Keepers, snowy mountains in Magic Makers, swamps and rainforests in Beast Makers, and everything unnatural is in Dreamweavers. Then there's the Junk Lands, they are still being cleaned up from Gnasty Gnorc's reign, but I also here they find all sorts of hidden treasure there from other civilizations."
Spike stared kind of blankly, "Well, I got some of that, but I still don’t know much of where dragons here come from. I mean, would I have come from the dragon realms?"
Spyro sighed, "I don't know, Dragon history isn't very... vast. We only know of events from a couple hundred years ago, and hardly any from before we only resided in the Dragon realms."
Spike sighed with Spyro now, "Well, that’s disappointing, do you all not record anything or what?"
"The entire race lost everything when the Sorceress blocked us from the rest of our world. Records, treasure, all of that. Luckily, our side had plenty of resources itself, and some Dragon's are conservative enough to make even desert areas livable." explained Spyro, "At least that's what I'm told. As I explained to Twilight earlier, I played a key role in reuniting our side with the old lands on the other side of the world. I actually hope some old history comes up."
"Well, it's good to here your dragons are much more mannered..." said Spike, "The dragons we have seen in Equestria are mostly brutes and jerks..."
"Hmm..." mumbled Spyro, "What did they do to be such jerks?"
Spike grumbled, "Well over the years, they have basically hung around their own areas hoarding treasure like a bunch of greedy jerks. But when they encounter ponies, they just take! Greedy as heck..." Spike stopped for a moment, thinking about his... incident, "I'm not much different actually... But I control it."
"Must be different circumstance, perhaps they have it too good here." suggested Spyro, "Back at the Artisans, we have to worry about the productivity of farmers and all that, cause we realize if the lot of us just took everything right away, there would be hardly anything to live off of... And we hoard, but we respect private property too much to steal from each other or other people." Spyro lied back, getting bored of the conversation as a whole, "But, I don't feel like talking about it much, that's for the older ones."
Spyro was now beginning to feel more anxious than usual, as the daylight outside beckoned to him. He didn’t usually spend too much time sitting around, unless the weather was bad, so staying in this library was really getting to him. He tried to lie down in a different position to get his mind of it, but the attempts were futile.
"Hey, is there any chance we can go outside?" he asked, staring out the window at the beautiful day.
Spike shrugged, "I'm not sure how the other ponies would react, but maybe not too bad since they are used to me, as long as you don't try to eat anyone..."
Spyro laughed, "Dragons have a code on nobility to not eat anything that can communicate with us."
"Yeah, that makes sense."
Spyro smirked, "But, we can chew them in self defense, just don't swallow."
The two dragons laughed, as Twilight came back downstairs, "It appears you two are hitting it off well."
"Yup." said Spike.
"I was just discussing with spike that it is wrong to eat ponies, but okay to chew them, in self defense." said Spyro.
Twilight giggled, "Well, I have to go meet with Applejack at her farm here. You can stay here or come with me if you wa-"
Spyro cut Twilight off as he and Sparx jumped up, "I’ll come with you! I mean, so I can observe that you all are actually vegetarians. I see a sheep and I will call slave labor."
Spyro knew the irony of his statement, considering the creature Dragons most loved to eat, but decided to keep it to himself.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
The stroll through town was interesting for Spyro and some of the bystanding ponies. Many different looking ponies, of different colors and sizes, roamed around the town. Spyro also quickly noticed that they seemed to be either unicorns, pegasi, or average ponies.
In general, the town felt a little familiar to where Spyro was from, likely based on the fact the land also looked similar as well. It was likely a lot of business came here for farms and such, which would make sense since he was going to one. However, it was lacking a bit of something, adventure, yes, it was lacking adventure.
Currently, he stuck close to Twilight and Spike, letting his eyes wander but trying not to stare at any specific pony for too long. It appeared the townsfolk spared the same courtesy when looking at him.
“Well they all seem to be tolerant of unusual creatures roaming around.” Said Spyro.
“It’s probably partly because you're with Twilight,” Responded Spike, “They readily assume the Princess's student is up to some sort of magic training or other endeavor. Well, that and they’ve gotten used to me pretty quickly.”
“There will probably still be rumors, but luckily they never turn out too nasty.” said Twilight.
Spyro smiled a bit, “Reminds me of the first time I was in Avalar, though they were having immediate troubles at the time. If any of the people were uncomfortable with me to begin with, they couldn’t argue with how I was dealing with all their sudden problems.”
“You sound like you have a bit of a big head.” said Spike, “It’s just the way you're always talking about fixing things for others before.”
“What? Do you expect me to first talk about my bad behaviors with all the beings of this new land I abruptly end up in?” Replied Spyro, chuckling slightly, “Propaganda one-o-one clearly states you avoid the scandals until you already have a cult of people who will agree with whatever you say.”
“Where’d you learn that?” Asked Twilight, as the group started on a path out toward sweet apple acres.
“The Sorceress’s scrolls. She had a lot of stuff written down in some book called the prince on influencing all sorts of groups, probably to control her slaves, I mean citizens.” Replied Spyro.
The trio chuckled, as they headed down the path and up toward the Apple Family Farm. Spyro gazed over the massive orchard, realizing it must have been planted over a long period of time. The air smelled especially fresh here as well, while the afternoon sun warmed things up from their prior morning temperatures. All this combined to make Spyro really want to get froloking around and have a true adventure.
“Alright,” started Twilight, “Just up here is where Applejack lives. I think Rainbow Dash was also planning on hanging around here too.”
Spyro walked up to the gate, and looked around the farm. Pigs was one of the first things he noticed, though he never really liked pigs, he was rather confused as to why ponies had them around. Sparx quickly took to admiring the tasty looking butterflies nearby, mouth metaphorically watering.
“So Applejack, and Rainbow Splash is their names?” asked Spyro.
“It’s Rainbow Dash!” Said Rainbow Dash, as she hovered above Twilight, Spike and Spyro.
Spyro spat a bit of flame and turned up real quick in an attack position. He then noticed it was the skittle pony, so he took a deep breath and calmed down. For a second he was shot back to the high cave's, being caught unsuspectedly from behind by one of those metal bugs.
“You alright?” asked Twilight, noticing Spyro was a bit shaken.
“Yeah, I just REALLY hate surprises like that..” Said Spyro, as he looked up to Rainbow Dash, “But I hold no grudge.”
Rainbow Dash landed next to Spyro, “So It looks like you're feeling better pal, aside from being so jumpy and charring the fence…”
“Well yes, I do feel better. I'm Spyro by the way.” said Spyro holding out his claw.
Rainbow Dash shook Spyro’s claw, “Rainbow Dash, best flyer in Equestria!”
“That makes two of us with big heads.” Said Spyro chuckling.
“What? Big head? Pfft!” Said Rainbow Dash a bit sarcastically.
“Rainbow! Where’s Applejack?” asked Twilight.
Suddenly, Applejack came around the barn with Winona. In noticing the group, she immediately smiled and headed over. Spyro could immediately see the resemblance from her and other farmers he had run into, the more... cultured ones, unlike the shepherds from his home.
“Hello Twilight, Spike, Spyro is it?” said Applejack, shaking Spyro's claw.
“You remembered it.” replied Spyro, “So you're the farmer?”
“Yessir!” Replied Applejack, “Mah family has provided the best quality apples for Equestria since the founding of Ponyville!”
The accent was very noticeable, but at least it wasn’t too thick to understand. That and she seamed to have her head screwed on tighter than some of the redneck types he met.
“So yah want to come inside and have some lunch?” asked Applejack.
Spyro cocked his head a bit, “Eeehh… I was hoping to get some outside time for a bit first.”
“That’s mighty fine, me and Twilight will just go inside and help Granny Smith set up the table.” said Applejack.
Twilight began to follow Applejack in, Spike following suit, as she turned around, “Just make sure you don’t break anything Spyro, or wear yourself out too much!”
As Twilight went inside, Rainbow Dash came up beside Spyro, smirking while thinking of her favorite pass time, “So you have wings, can you fly?”
“Well, Dragons can’t really get a full hand of flying until they are about twenty. But with boosts of magic energy or jumping off a ledge, I can fly pretty well.” Replied Spyro, “I assume you’re wanting a race?”
Rainbow Dash smirked, “You just read my mind! I haven’t raced a Dragon before, but i’m pretty confident.”
“Well, this should be interesting for the both of us. Where shall we start?” asked Spyro.
Rainbow smirked wider as she took to the air, “Grab onto me, I'll take us up nice and high.”
Spyro held out his claws, as Rainbow Dash quickly picked him up with her right fore leg. Spyro hung on tight, as Sparx followed them up higher and higher. Eventually, she began to slow down, and landed on a cloud, far about the farm.
“They all look like toys, don’t they?” Said Rainbow Dash, “Why don’t you let go now?”
Spyro replied, “Well apparently you can sit on clouds, but I would fall right through, I know this from experience... Maybe I can hover for a bit…”
Spyro took a breath, and jumped from Rainbow Dash, Fluttering his wings consistently, managing to stay above the cloud. Spyro actually has been getting better at the flying business with the activity he's been doing, and he figured beating this skittle-pony shouldn't be too hard compared to planes.
“Alright dragon,” started Rainbow Dash, “We will fly over above the town their, then circle around and dive towards the farm. First one to the farmyard wins, the orchard doesn’t count because it is across half of our track. You up to it?”
Spyro eyed the route, keeping himself half focused on staying in place, “You got it! Sparx, hang on tight!”
Sparx the dragonfly landed on Spyro’s head between his horns, hanging on rather tight for a bug.
“Alright!” started Rainow, as the two readied for the start, “Three, two, one… GO!”
Rainbow Dash immediately jumped off the cloud and dived to gain speed. Spyro thrusted himself forward and also dived a ways, gaining speed but not as much as Rainbow Dash. The two had a good handle of their flight already, as they flew toward the towns at speeds beginning to reach 50 miles per hour.
Wind blew by them fast, as the two speed up more. In a few seconds, they were right by the town, so Rainbow Dash began flying back up, maintaining a good speed. Spyro leveled out, then began to get higher as he turned hard.
Rainbow did a full loop around at high speed, as Spyro came off his turn then did a thust forward and spun with more speed, getting just below Rainbow Dash as they dived at a downward angle toward Sweet Apple Acres. Things where still speeding up, as Rainbow Dash was beginning to gain notable speed as the were almost over the apple trees. Looking up at Rainbow, Spyro put each of his claws and his wings and pulled them back closer to his tail, increasing his speed.
They were still high above the ground yet near their location, so Spyro dived further, hoping to pull out his wings and break his fall on a loop before crashing. Rainbow Dash however, determining to get ahead of him, dived at a faster and faster rate.
“Is she mad?!” exclaimed Spyro, thinking she was sure to burry straight into the ground, with only her look of determination suggesting otherwise.
Suddenly, Spyro looked up in astonishment, as Rainbow Dash passed him, with colors beginning to emanate around her. He began to try and get a bit faster, but was distracted by Rainbow Dash speeding more and more.
“SHE’S GONNA CRASH!” yelled Spyro, as he and Sparx looked forward in astonishment.
Suddenly, about 40 feet above the farm itself, Rainbow Dash burst into a Sonic Rainboom, blasting herself into the air in a loop. Spyro’s mouth gapped, and his eyes widened, when suddenly the wave knocking him off his course and he tumbled out of speed.
Regaining his flight slightly, he broke out his wings in a parachute like manner just before crashing into the trees, and landed on top one, a few meters from their destination. Before he could think again, Rainbow swooped down to the farm, and landed in a skid by the house, with a wide smile on her face.
“Holy Clank…” said Spyro, eyes wide, as Sparx lifted himself into the air, “What was that?!?!”
Rainbow Dash flew up to the tree Spyro was in, “Sonic Rainboom, really hard to pull off, very rewarding.”
Spyro looked around for a second in thought, “Well, you won… maybe you can teach me that sometime…”
It was that moment, Spyro realized this particular race appeared to have more ability to be generally awesome than he first thought. Perhaps he would like company from the ponies when face the black dragon he has heard about.
“RAINBOW DASH!” yelled Twilight, “I thought I said no Sonic Rainbooms that close to town!”
Author's Note
Alright! I hath edited this chapter to be much more pretty too look at.
In case your wondering, I am figuring Spyro's character, after all his adventures so far, may have a few "bugs".
PS: Arsenals and Clank, what does that reference?
My Little Spyro, Friendship is Flammable.
Chapter 2: That damn potion.
Snow blew along the ground, as the wind felt like it would cut into your skin. The air was very cold, and the snow blowing around made it worse. For Princess Luna however, this wasn't the worst thing she could think of, but indeed it was unusual.
The Black Dragon, after sneaking through Canterlot and stealing the Elements of Harmony, fled here, to the cold north near the Crystal Empire. Of all places, one would not think of a dragon to flee to this area. They tend to stay away from cold places, mostly because they are cold blooded and had little power.
But here Luna was, hiding out in a snow bunker she made with magic, just a half kilometer away from a mountain the Dragon went into. So far, it stayed there, but it worried Luna that the dragon likely knew something she didn't.
Suddenly, one of her bat pony guards came into the fort from outside, and took off his snow block.
"Princess, all of the bases around the mountain still report no activity." said the bat pony.
"Alright, is there anything else?" asked Luna.
The bat pony shook his head, "No my princess."
"Then back to your position, we shall keep refuge here for a little while longer before retiring." replied Luna.
The bat pony's eyes widened suddenly as he looked out the small crease viewing the mountain. Luna turned quickly in response.
"There it is!" said the bat pony, as a dark figure shot out of the top of the mountain, giving off dark fire around it's body as it flew.
The Dragon was both terrifying and majestic. One could see the shape through the dark flames, as it circled the mountain.
"That must be how the creature can stay warm..." said Luna, observing it.
Suddenly, it turned course rapidly, and headed right toward Luna's fort. It was heading for a direct collision, and all Luna could do in the split seconds was brace, as the dragon burst through the top of the fort.
"GET BACK FOAL BEAST!" Yelled Luna, as she casted a spell at the dragon, and stared in horror as it simply deflected off the dark fire.
The dragon laughed, and showed its teeth, before Luna charged another spell, and fired.

That sonic rainboom was amazing. Spyro had seen a lot for a kid, but that was on the top five coolest things. Twilight did give Rainbow Dash a good scolding, but she mellowed out in short time and invited them into Applejack's house for lunch.
"Seriously, I never expected to see something like that, especially from such a little horse. I mean, I always believed in you Rainbow!" said Spyro excitedly, though on the inside he was also kind of jealous.
"It's something special kid, why do you think my cutie mark says I'm the best flyer in Equestria?" Said Rainbow Dash, getting a bit smug.
Spyro eyed Rainbow, and then her flank, "Is that what you call that mutation on your bum? I thought you all were just some cultists."
"Mutation?" said Rainbow Dash a bit offended, as they just got inside, "Cutie marks are symbols of what your main purpose is!"
They were stopped by a greeting from Applejack, "Hey, why don't y'all sit at the table and talk about it?"
Suddenly, a yellow blur came up to Spyro, with a big smile in his face. He in turn, looked from side to side unsurely, as the red haired pony spoke.
"Yer a real dragon like Spike?! And Yer from the Dragon Realms?!?! THAT'S AWESOME!" said Applebloom.
"Applebloom! What did ah ay about getting up in other ponies faces?!" Scolded Applejack.
Applebloom got a bit of a trouble making grin, "Yah said pony, not dragon."
Applejack glared at Applebloom, as Spyro smirked at the sibling rivalry, "She has a point."
Applejack look back at Spyro, "Well let's all jus' sit down then."
With that the other ponies seated themselves at various chairs. He was greeted to Granny Smith and Big Mac in the process. The house itself looked rather humble yet nice and clean. The family was also very nice, definitely better than the farmer union that joined Gnasty, and beat Spyro with sticks when all he wanted was some sheep.
After some more small talk, his focus turned to the food.
There on the table, was the biggest assortment of apple stuff Spyro could think of. Apple Pie, Apple Fritter, Caramel Apple drizzled with Apple sauce. There was also for some reason crystals jabbed into one of the pies, that really confused him. Too bad he only moderately liked apples, and above all, loved meet.
"So no meat?" asked Spyro.
Applejack looked at him oddly, "Wha-? Oh yeah, Ah suppose you're all carnivores where you're from then huh?"
Rainbow Dash added a comment, "Don't you like crystals?"
"What?" asked Spyro in confusion.
"To eat." Said Rainbow Dash, before she stuffed a fritter in her mouth.
Spyro stared at Rainbow Dash suggestion she was a moron, as Sparx thought about it, and flew over to try and take a bite of a crystal. In tern, it hurt, so he also stared at Rainbow like she was a moron.
Twilight awkwardly laughed to break the ice, "Well, we just assumed, since Spike eats them..."
"HE EATS MONEY?!" Exclaimed Spyro, "Why would you do that?!"
Everyone in the room looked around unsurely, as Spyro was slightly appalled, since gems and crystals were used as a valuable currency in his homeworld.
"Apparently Dragons here are a bit different than from where you are." suggested Big Mack, as he nonchalantly continued eating a piece of pie.
Spyro laughed, "So the silent one finds the solution, good job!"
"Perhaps yah kids should take more time to LISTEN to your elders, you would be that good at solving things!" Said Granny Smith dryly.
Everybody sat for a moment silently, then laughed. Now that awkwardness seemed to be over, Spyro sat down and tried himself a piece of apple pie. It crumbled at he took a bit, and the texture felt horrible to him. However, it made up for that in taste, mostly, it still wasn't bacon. Oh glorious Bacon, how good it tasted well roasted, and even on the go with a quick spit of flame. In fact, those pigs outside would probably taste real good with this apple stuff, maybe if he just-
"Are you listening?" Asked Twilight directly to Spyro.
"Sorry, I was just in la la land." Replied Spyro as he set the piece of apple pie down.
Twilight sighed, and began again, "As I was was saying, Princess Celestia suggested via her last letter that we get every pony together for the day and teach Spyro a bit on friendship, to see how much he understands the culture we have here..."
Oh lordy, culture talk. Personally to Spyro, this was sounding more like a cult initiation to the church of rainbows and friendship. Though perhaps he could learn a few more things from the locals, like that Sonic Rainboom.
"I sent Spike to go update Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity, so we can converse more without disturbing the townsponies..." continued Twilight.
Spyro rolled his eyes as he laid his head on his claw. More sitting around and talking didn't sound like it was going to get him anywhere, and this Twilight pony is beginning to sound a bit controlling over things. His stomach also was beginning to get upset with him for not having a good meal yet, those pigs outside were getting more and more appetizing.
"So, thoughts?" concluded Twilight.
"Yeah, Twilight, your boring him to death." Said Rainbow, as Spyro seemed out be out of it again.
In fact, he was now drooling a bit, thinking about perhaps taking one of the pigs and going rogue to find the dark dragon himself. Besides, he has never been forcefully hand held through things like this before, he could definitely find his way by just chatting with locals like his other adventures.
"Spyro, Yah better not be thinkin' about eatin' us..." said Applejack.
Spyro shot up, "No! No! What makes you think I want to roast your pigs?!"
Sparx did a metaphorical face-palm to his companion, as everypony stared at him awkwardly, as Applejack was getting a bit of an un-amused look.
"Ah'm just going to assume that was a joke, but if I lose a pig now ah'll know who dun it."
"Why do you even have pigs?" asked Spyro.
"So back on an earlier subject, Rainbow, weren't you chattin' with him about cutie marks?" said Applejack.
It was now Spyro, who gave the un-amused look. However, Applebloom immediately started talking.
"Oh! Everypony get's cutie marks when they find out what their special talent is! Me and mah friends have been workin' real hard for ours, and we're sure we'll find ‘em soon!"
"So... you have one basic talent for your whole life?" Asked Spyro with his eyebrow raised, "I prefer the idea of working toward accomplishing multiple things, and having options later in life."
Granny Smith popped in the conversation, "In all mah years, Ah have found that your cutie mark can mean more than one thing, just as long as yah keep looking. For me ah was content on this here farm, but I have known others who did all sorts of different things."
Out of the conversation, Applejack trotted over to Twilight at the end of the table.
"Twi, ah'm not to sure about this dragon, It's not that ah think he's evil, but what if he's never been around herbivores so long? Ah mean, we don't have much meat in Equestria, aside from in the animals."
Twilight shrugged, "We talked for a little while, and so far he claims to have been around other races, so I doubt he'd eat anypony if that's what you're thinking."
Applejack sighed, "Ah don't know, it’s jus’ that maybe we're going about this the wrong way. He seems very, bored."
On the other side from the whispering ponies, Spyro was already getting bored of the conversation, sure it was kind of interesting at first, but now he pretty much knew the basics. Now not only boredom plagued him, but the back of his head started to hurt.
"... and that is how our family started this here farm." concluded Granny Smith.
Spyro looked to his side to noticed Rainbow Dash was also getting ancy, maybe now he could suggest they go somewhere else.
"Hey Twilight." started Spyro, "Can we get going elsewhere soon? Not that I am not having a good time, but I feel like I should be doing something... you know, about your problems..."
Twilight and Applejack suddenly stopped whispering, and Twilight replied, "Well we were about to head back to town, as soon as Spike get's ba-"
Suddenly, Spike burst into the door, "TWILIGHT! The Princess has been attacked!"
Twilight gasped, "Oh no?! Canterlot is in trouble?!"
Spike corrected himself, "No! Princess Luna! Princess Celestia said she wants you to head to Canterlot immediately, but to leave Spyro... uh..." Spike read the letter in his claws over again, "At Fluttershy's?"
A sudden bit of annoyance hit Spyro, it sounded like the monarch did not see him as a viable option for help at this point. In fact, he groaned out loud.
Rainbow Dash shot up, "Well let's get going Twi!"
Spyro raised his claw, "May I suggest something, perhaps you can just Sonic Rainboom me right into the Black Dragon, and I can get this over with now."
Twilight shook her head, "No Spyro, the Princess said for you to stay here. Besides, she usually has a plan."
"But She hasn't even met me!" argued Spyro, "Are you really going to suggest she can know how to best fix this without even considering all the options?!"
Sparx the Dragonfly began looking at Spyro oddly, noticing he was losing his cool.
"It's alright Sparx, I'm just stating this from experience." responded Spyro seemingly knowing what Sparx was thinking.
Twilight sighed as she head toward the door, "I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to leave you here. But I can be sure to tell the Princess you insist on coming along soon."
Spyro grumbled to himself, then said, “Alright, fine, it’s just that I usually am not restrained this much.”
Rainbow Dash then spoke up, “I will take you to Fluttershy’s then! If, you’re done here.”
"Ah think I'll start cleaning up then" said Applejack, as she began to take leftovers too the kitchen.
Spyro got out of his chair, as Twilight read over the letter Spike got, too make sure there wasn’t anything else.
For Spyro, things didn’t seem to be getting better. It didn’t sounds like the Princess, whoever she was, trusted him, or would even give him the light of day. Not only that, but the pain in the back of his head wasn’t getting any better.
“Maybe I should just go off on my own… if this pain in my head would go away…” he thought.
"No, it's gone now..." Spyro then stared around the room, realizing just now he said that out loud, "I... Uh, was just talking to myself..."
"Well, I think Rainbow is ready to take you to Fluttershy’s, I’m taking the hot air balloon to Canterlot.” said Twilight.
"Really? I actually know some balloonists." Responded Spyro.
“Well, let’s get going bud!” said Rainbow, nudging his shoulder.
Spyro sighed, “Well okay then, see you apple pony people!”
“By Spyro and Sparx!” replied Applejack, as she happily cleaned.
In reality, Spyro was feeling a bit off now, something looked, different, about the ponies. In fact, it felt like something slightly changed since he has been here already, but he couldn't put his claw on it.

From the bushes near the path Spyro was being lead by Rainbow Dash, a figure stared out on a creepy manner. It was shadowy, and creepy, did I mention shadowy?
"So it's true... the purple one has come." Said a cheesy villain voice, "You don't know how much you mean to me yet, but soon you will..."
Suddenly, The figure pricked his hoof on a spike in the bush, and jumped back. Revealing itself to be Button Mash, the obsessive arcade lover from the ponyville school.
"OW!" yelped Button Mash as he stared at his hoof, before turned back to the bush and spoke in the evil voice again, "This will have to wait, but soon I shall meet the one from my game, Spyro!"
"Who're you talking to button?" asked SweetieBelle, as Scootaloo came up behind her.
"AH! I uh! I was never here!" Yelled Button, as he ran off.
Sweetie and Scootaloo looked at each other, the back at button as he ran as fast as he could, which wasn't too fast.
"Soooo..." said Scootaloo, "Love poison."
"Oh yeah!" said Sweetie, as she and her friend went on, the conversation they had before noticing Button acting oddly again, "Apparently, Featherweight made himself a batch of that love poison we had that, experience with."
"Oh yeah, why?" asked Scootaloo.
"He said it was so he could see what would happen if bit's were used on a few forest critters. Apparently he thinks Fluttershy will help him with this, quote on quote, scientific article."
Scootaloo giggled, "Does he really think that'll work? Fluttershy would never let him try that!"
"I know, that's why I figured we'd watch and see what happens." said Sweetie.
Suddenly, Applebloom came running up from behind, "Wait up girls!"
Sweetiebelle and Scootaloo stopped and stared at Applebloom as she got her breath, "Y'all will never believe what just happened at mah place!"
________________________________________________________
"And here we are!" said Rainbow Dash, "Do be a bit more careful, Fluttershy is a kind of, afraid of dragons..." Said Rainbow Dash as she knocked on the door.
Spyro stared at Rainbow, "And your Princess said I should stay here?! Great idea! Next thing you know is the place is full of all sort of critters that will really make me really hungry for meat."
"Eeerrrr..." said Rainbow Dash, just before Fluttershy opened the door.
The smell of critter was a bit overwhelming for Spyro, and his appetite got a little more powerful right then.
"Great..." mutter Spyro.
Fluttershy saw Rainbow first, "Oh high Rainbow! What are you doi-..." then she noticed Spyro, and visibly got a lot more nervous, "Oh hi, uh...."
"Spyro" Said Rainbow.
"Yes, hello Spyro! I-I remember seeing you, uh, get brought here." responded Fluttershy examining the dragon all over.
Compared to Rainbow Dash, he was a tad shorter, but his horns stuck out to the top of her head. He also had more noticeable claws and teeth, as he bit down on his tongue for some reason. It didn't help that his posture seaming like that of a wolf holding back from lunging out at something.
Featherweight then came out behind Fluttershy, and noticed Spyro. Immediately he gasped, pointed, and looked up to Fluttershy, "That's a dragon! I can start more articles on the life of a dragon now! Spike was getting too boring for readers before."
Spyro just nodded in greeting toward Featherwieght, biting his toungue down harder, as for some reason he was beginning to fantasize about eating that little pegasus, probably because he looked like fodder in general.
"Featherweight, this I-Is Spyro..." Said Fluttershy.
Featherweight jumped forward to shake Spyro's hand, making Fluttershy jump, but she avoided anything else to not seem offensive.
"Hello Spyro! Mind if I take a picture?!"
Spyro shook his head back and forth, hoping this wouldn't take long, as his appetite level was reaching over nine-thousand.
Featherweight smiled big, and got his camera from around his neck. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash flew up to Fluttershy.
"Hey, Twilight said Princess Celestia wanted him to stay here, but we were just talking about rethinking that, considering you’re afraid of his... type." said Rainbow quietly,
Fluttershy looked over to Spyro, whom was letting pictures be taken, but not really posing much, or changing his posture, "Well, it's not so much that he's a dragon, he is only a little bigger that Spike... but I don't like his posture."
"What do you mean?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"He's holding back from charging onto the critters inside, I have seen other carnivores like that when I have them around. That and he get's more anxious the closer Featherweight get's to him." said Fluttershy.
"Are you saying he's thinking about eating featherweight?" asked Rainbow.
"Not exactly, he's just holding back a sort of instinct." said Fluttershy, “And its that instinct that is making me nervous… and the claws…”
Suddenly, featherweight spoke up to Spyro, "That's good! Thanks for your time!" he then turned to Fluttershy, "I’ll just leave now... and can I have the potion back?"
Fluttershy looked to featherweight, "No, it is too dangerous! Ask Twilight how dangerous something is before you try it next time, alright?"
Featherweight sighed, "Alright Miss Fluttershy!"
In a short few moments, the scrawny little pony was gone. Spyro loosened up a bit as a result, and began to worry about his state of mind around these ponies. Sparx flew up beside his head, and buzzed at him like a form of communication. Spyro in response smiled a bit and patted the dragonfly.
"Huh." said Fluttershy, "That Dragonfly seams to keep him docile."
"It's a thing the old monks brought about a long time ago in the dragon realms, to teach dragons from a young age to avoid turning out all brutal.” Said Spyro, surprising Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, “We dragons get a magic dragonfly become our partner from infancy, to basically teach over your life to value companionship over greed and other things that used to plague other generations."
Fluttershy smiled a bit and spoke quietly, "Well that's nice... could you hear us the whole time?"
Spyro smirked, "Just parts. But I don’t mind if you don't want me to come inside."
"Oh no that's fine!" said Fluttershy, "Come on in, I have some cookies on the table, I have been keeping them around for when the crusaders hang around."
"Cookies? Heck yeah!" said Spyro, as he hopped in, they would partially suffice his appetite for now.
Rainbow Dash eyed Fluttershy, "You sure you're alright with him alone?"
"Yes Dash..." started Fluttershy, "He proved himself to me already."
"Heh, maybe he can help you get over your fear of dragons!" said Rainbow while she nudged Fluttershy's shoulder.
"Oops, a cup of water fell on the cookies!" yelled Spyro from inside, "I'll still eat them though!"
Fluttershy giggled, and turned to go inside, then gasped as Spyro swallowed a cookie whole, "DON'T EAT ANYMORE!"
Spyro jumped, "I'm sorry!"
"THAT'S LOVE POTION! Not Water!" Yelled Fluttershy.
Spyro immediately looked at the cup, and noticed the liquid was indeed pink, which apparently was the color of love. With this realization, he dropped the plate of cookies, and freaked.
Author's Note
Worked real hard here, and will proofread on more time before the night is over.
PS: If you don't know, Spyro has always found romance pointless, he is still a kid after all, so this ought to freak him out even further.
My Little Spyro, Friendship is Flammable.
Chapter 3: A MARSHMALLOW!
Of all things, Spyro was absolutely sure that this was his biggest mistake. His idea of lovey-dovey romance and such was that it was all a waste of time, and the idea of looking like a goofy obsessed with one person idiot against his will did not appear to Spyro at all.
"Just don't look at anypony!" Yelled Fluttershy.
Spyro kept his eyes closed while facing the wall. All of the thoughts about how horrible this was kept running about, how much he did NOT want to be like Hunter when he met Bianca. But most of all, what ingredients wer ein that love potion? Liquid cooties?!
"Just, is there a way to not fall in love with someone?!" asked Spyro, before mumbling to himself as he sat in mental panic.
Rainbow Dash had come inside now, and looked at the mess of cookies and slightly pink liquid on the ground.
"Fluttershy, why do you have love potion in your house?" asked Rainbow Dash, as Fluttershy scratched her head.
"Spyro, just don't look at anypony, I just need to get the book from Twilight's library." said Fluttershy before turning to to Rainbow Dash, "Featherweight apparently thought it'd be a neat article to see what happens when love potion is used on little critters, since apparently he read up on the stuff... Needless to say, I didn't want him seeing a lot of... that."
"Well, okay, how much did he take then? I mean, maybe a small amount won't work!" said Rainbow Dash a bit optimistically.
"I AM NOT TAKING THAT CHANCE!" scolded Spyro pessimistically.
Fluttershy shook her head, "Rainbow, can you just quickly get the book on Hearts and Hooves Day. That is what has the information on the love potion, maybe it will say something about an antidote."
Meanwhile, Sparx had picked up a cloth from in the kitchen, and bestowed it onto Spyro. The dragon immediately wrapped it tight around his eyes to avoid accidentally seeing anyone. He then spoke up to the talking pegasi, "Just take me with you so I can get this fixed faster.
Fluttershy and Rainbow shrugged, and Rainbow came up to Spyro.
"Grab onto my tail kid, and keep your wings flapping." she said, getting ready to take off.
Spyro reached forward slowly, and got the very end of her tail.
"Are you sure it won't rip right off? I mean, your tails never look like much more than a hairdo on your back enDEEEEAAAH!" exclaimed Spyro, right as Rainbow Dash took off through the front door, as the small dragon held on tight with both front claws.
Sparx chuckled to himself, and buzzed at Fluttershy.
Fluttershy blushed, "Oh, What?! No! I didn't make that up!"
Sparx buzzed a few more times, before flying after Spyro and Rainbow, leaving Fluttershy's face red.
Fluttershy shook her head, "No! I wouldn't do that... oh whatever. Angel, keep watch of the house while i'm gone, alright!"
With that Flutershy flew off to Twilgiht's library as well. The white bunny Angel came out from under the coach, the predator was gone. The other critters quickly followed suit, and looked around the pony-less home. In a few moments, Angel noticed the cookies lying on the ground, and smirked. The other critters followed, ready to munch on the treats left on the ground. They were about to begin eating, when...
Fluttershy burst back in just in time, "NO! They are poisoned!" she yelled, before grabbed up all of the cookies, and leaving again.
Angel came up to the front door, looked through the crease to make sure Fluttershy was gone, and puuled slightly soggy cookie from behind his back. He had a mischievous grin, as he hopped toward the center of the room. It was then, the Cutie mark crusaders knocked, and the paniced bunny dropped the cookie, and assumed the "I had nothing to do with it!" position.
The door opened, as the three fillies came inside.
"Fluttershy?" asked Applebloom loudly.
"She isn't here." said Scootaloo, as they walked in.
"Ooh! A cookie!" said Sweetiebelle, as she picked up the cookie on the ground.
Angel saw the fillies, and immediately decided to hope away before they would get the chance to play with him.
Scootaloo stared at the cookie in Sweetie's hoof, "Don't eat that! it was on the ground!"
Applebloom eyed the cookie as well, "Yeah, and it's soggy..."
Sweetiebelle eyed it as well, then sniffed it, "Yeah, and it smells funny, yet kind of familiar..."
"Why was it on the ground here anyway?" Asked Scootaloo, "Who wastes a good chocolate chip cookie?"
"Who knows...." replied Sweetibelle

Spike sat in the middle of the library's main room, munching on a few crystals that Twilight gave him for staying to watch the fort. She had just left a few minutes ago, and it seamed with low traffic, Spike might get some nice alone time. Though Spyro was still on his mind, there lied some new found excitement of learning more about Dragons in general, perhaps proving all dragons weren't jerks.
Next however, a cyan flash crashed into the library through the window, knocking over a bookshelf, immediately followed by a familiar purple dragon rolling across the ground and hitting a wall.
"HEY!!!!" yelled Spike, "Stop trying to boost the economy Rainbow!"
"Heh, sorry." apologized Rainbow Dash, "It's harder to keep direction with a weight on your tail than I thought."
Fluttershy came in the front door followed by Sparx. She gasped and helped Spyro too his feet.
"That looked painful from outside..." said Fluttershy.
Spike stared at Rainbow, then Fluttershy, then Spyro who for some reason was blindfolded, "What the hay going on guys?!"
"Spyro accidentally ate a cookie laced with love poison." said Rainbow Dash, as she checked over her wings, "We wanted to get that book on hearts and hooves as fast as possible to see how to fix it."
Spike shrugged, "Well, I guess that's not too unusual, I'll go get it!"
Spyro gagged a bit, "Not too unusual?!"
"A lot happens in this town." Explained Spike, as he rolled over the library ladder, and climbed up to the hearts and hooves section, "So who'd you fall in love with?"
"I haven't." said Spyro rubbing his head.
"Uh oh..." said Spike, quickly flipping to the page on the potion in the book.
"Why uh oh? I don't want to fall in love with any talking horse." replied Spyro with a worried tone.
"How long has it been?" asked Spike, as he read over the page.
Rainbow Dash flew up beside Spike, and answered "Just a few minutes."
"Well alright..." said Spike, "But, you need to find somepony to look at."
"What? WHY?!" asked Spyro in annoyed shock.
"Because if kept in your body too long without falling in love, it will make you go blind..." Spike explained, "But, as long as you don't look the somepony you see in the eyes for an hour, the potion's affect will go away."
Spyro spat some fire in irritation, "SERIOUSLY?! Great... now let me think about it..."
"Seriously Spyro? You'de rather go blind than fall in love with somepony?" asked Rainbow Dash.
"I'm considering it..." said Spyro, "Fall in love with some random horse, or go blind, fall in love with a horse, or go blind..."
Fluttershy spoke up, "M-Maybe you can just see a mirror, then we won't let you see one for awhile."
"Yeah, your already a bit of a narcissist!" Spike added.
Spyro smirked, "That may work... get me a mirror!"
Rainbow Dash replied with, "Whatever you say weirdo."
Spike ran upstairs, and came down with a hand, I mean hoof held mirror. He then put it in Spyro's claw.
"Okay, you all back away a bit, just so I can have more time to decide if this doesn't work." said Spyro.
The two pegasi and the smaller dragon backed away as commanded, and Spyro lifted his blindfold with the mirrior against his snout. With a few blinks, he looked at himself in the reflection.
"Aaaand nothing." said Spyro, "Maybe the potion just didnt' work..."
Suddenly, someone opened the front door, which was now right behind Spyro. In shock, Spyro turned around in a defensive stance, and saw Rarity.
"NO!" Yelled Spike and Rainbow, but it was too late.
"Hello?" asked Rarity, as a dragon stood infront of her.
Spyro's brain immediately got shot with a feeling of attraction. Immediately realizing his mistake, Spyro backed away, as his pupils shrank, and he blacked out.

Canterlot Castles was in a state of hustle at this point. With Princess Luna and her guards all being attacked, the Guard was already planning on their next moves against the strange Dragon.
Twilight Sparkle quickly strode through the hallway in Canterlot Castle Towards the Princess's medical ward. The guards look emotionless, as usual, but the note among other ponies in the castle was more somber, with less political chatter going on. The story was likely already in print on the national newspapers, as a princess getting nearly killed is usually something that get's a lot of attention.
Upon reaching the door at the end, the guards let Twilight in and closed the door behind her. Celestia looked up from talking to the doctors, and quickly approached her. The doctors whom were looking over notes looked up, and left the room through another door. Luna was unconscious in her curtain surrounded bed, which looked much more royal than most hospitals would offer.
"Thank you for coming Twilight. I understand you were trying to deal with your own situation, but this problem appears to be more immediate than I thought."
"It's nothing princess, I just want to help out as best I can." replied Twilight.
Celestia strode toward Luna, watching her with a bit of remorse, "Luna will survive, but she told me that the dragon that attacked her was using some foreign energy. She seemed so distraught, and she wanted to say more, but we had to get her to sleep to help her heal and all."
Twilight looked at Luna closely now, noticing strange dark lines across her coat.
"Foriegn energies?" asked Twilight, "Like a different type of magic?"
Celestia looked over to Twilight, "Not one bit of magic. a few claw marks, yes, but it was using some sort of energy, however it left no trace. Either it is very illusive or not what we think it is at all."
Twilight looked at Celestia, then over to Luna, "Well... the dragon that I encountered, Spyro, explained how he was from realms that had their own magic, but not ponies like us. Maybe since I could easily bring him here, this other Dragon came from the same place."
Celestia replied with a "Hmm." before she turned to Twilight, "You should look into that. Now that you bring it up, I have some languages to revisit that I have kept locked up for some time now. However, I want to you go back and head to the Crystal Empire, bring Spyro too, just keep an eye on him. The Dark Dragon has been keeping around the north, and we really should make sure it doesn't mess up the crystal heart or anything of the sort."
Twilight nodded, "Alright Princess."
"I will send a letter when I find what I am looking for, just keep your eyes open." said Celestia, before sending Twilight off.

Rarity had a very... unexpected surprise upon entering the library. It appeared the new orange winged purple scaled Dragon was really happy to see her, and now held her in a tight hug. Nothing else really, just a bear hug, though it was uncomfortable.
"Hmmm....." Said Rarity, as Spyro had her in a tight hug, "I... um... this is most... unexpected..."
"Oh dear.." said Rainbow, "It Appears you are his cuddle buddy until we fix him."
"So you saying you already broke the new dragon?" Said Rarity, trying to push Spyro away.
Fluttershy blushed, "Well, There was some love poison... and cookies, and well..."
Sparx stared at Spyro, and took a mental picture, just for laughs later. Spike on the other hand, looked to be steaming with jealousy. His Rarity, was there, being hugged by someone else. It wouldn't even be to bad if it was a pony, but another dragon?! Of all the circumstances, this is the most emotionally tearing, that could be him! It is as if some godly being in charge of the show put it together just for tragic irony.
Rarity simply replied, "Okay then.", before using her magic to pry Spyro off her, holding him upside down in the air.
"No! You need to be snuggled!" said Spyro struggling with Rarity's magic to get closer to her, "You are just so soft! Like those sheep that are so fun to burn, but you later use as pillows instead!"
"More like a marshmallow." said Rainbow Dash snarkily.
Spyro's now pink eyes widened, "Yes! A MARSHMALLOW!!!! It's perfect! Now let me hug you more, you need more dragon snuggles!"
Rarity glared at Rainbow Dash, "Alright, can you hold onto this while I go home and finish my job, since it appears Twilight isn't here."
Spike grumbled, grabbed Spyro out of his levetation in midair, and proceeded to drag him upstairs by his tail, "I got this."
"No! Wait! She needs to be hugged!" Exclaimed Spyro, as Sparx the Dragonfly simply laughed his high-pitched butt off.
"Well, I suppose I better help tie him up." Said Rainbow Dash.
Rarity sighed, "I'll be off then, still have to find Sweetie and her friends next, I thought they went to Fluttershy's."
Fluttershy gasped, as a muffled "But she's so adorable! Like those panda bear that jump on their heads and push bolders around! " was heard from upstairs.
"Your right Rarity, oh my, I completely forgot!" said Fluttershy, "I'm so sorry, I'll go back right now!"
"Your not the first to want her, orange horny gremlin! "
Rarity shurgged, "It's alright darling, we'll just get there together now. I understand why you forgot, considering the, circumstances."
"Rarity I command you! Hug me! Hug me! Hug me!!! "
"Stop acting like this!"
"I just want to be snuggled!"
"Be glad he doesn't want to go for any more bases," remarked Rainbow Dash, "I better get up their and deal with the drama."
"Alright Darling, see you soon!" said Rarity, as she and Fluttershy headed for the door.
"Yep, see yah Rare's." replied Rainbow.
"Oh Wait! I can breath fire! "
"You better hurry on out of here..." said Raibow Dash.
Author's Note
Dammit Fluttershy, you broke the Dragon.
This will be edited more tomorrow, it is more... rough, at the moment.
Also, there is hidden reference to a certain Cartoon Network show in here, pertaining to the opposite ability of Spyro's.
EDIT: I edited it to be prettier now. Not too mention, I put in another little easter egg.
Chapter 4: Meanwhile in the Dragon Realms...View Online
My Little Spyro, Friendship is Flammable.
Chapter 4: Meanwhile in the Dragon Realms...
In the land of Dragons... Everyone was flipping out.
"When one loses a Dragon, It usually doesn't go unnoticed. But when one looses a Dragon that has saved numerous realms, practically saved the race from extinction, and might as well be the Dragon version of Moses, then you BETTER get him back."
A large, blue Dragon towered over the Professor, who was only about three feet high, while the dragon was 13. The pressure had been building over the last few days on the Professor to find out where Spyro ended up, because to be quite frank, it was freaking everybody out that he just vanished. For all the other Dragons knew, their little messiah could be suffocating in a black hole. That did not sit well with anyone, so all of the superportal 2.0 effort had been pushed into "Get that purple dragon back before we are all toasted like sheep!" mode.
Hunter and Bianca had been sticking around to help the Professor as best they could in trying to open the portal again. Though, Bianca was doing a bit more, considering Hunter couldn't keep track of his running shoes. So, the cheetah mostly kept the Dragons off the Professor's back.
The Professor, despite the pressure, had managed to work up a bit of an answer, "Well, uh... You see, something from a different world sent out a connection to the Superportal's powerful transmitter, and opened it's gate. Whether or not they meant to, or if they were hostile or in need of help, is still a mystery-"
"Get to the point!" Yelled the dragon, bearing his teeth.
The Professor squeaked a bit, and shrunk back. However, Hunter the Cheetah came between them to mediate.
"Chill out, he's not going to fix it faster if you yelling at him out the wazoo."
Dragon dragon pulled back, pouting a bit. The Professor nervously coughed and looked back to his notepad.
"Were was I... Oh yes, The good news is, I have saved the coordinates of the source. This can allow us to recalibrate the Superportal 2.0 into making a gateway to the world Spyro was sent."
Bianca nodded her head and commented to the dragon, "Basically, we should be able to find Spyro, and he is likely alive."
The Blue Dragon waved his claw, "Alright then, how soon can you open that portal?"
The Proffessor turn to the control configurations on the side of the large archway of the superportal 2.0, "Since that connection came from a whole different world, we need to charge it up more first, and the more of a charge, the better, because we could only keep it open for a short amount of time."
The Dragon sighed, "Get to the point, how long will this take?"
The Professor began fidgeting with his notepad, "Well, the best suggestion to get it open in a timely manner, and have enough energy to keep it open for how long it'd likely take to find Spyro, a week."
The dragon snorted, showing his obvious distaste of the situation, "Great! Do you know how much could happen to him in that time?!"
Bianca crossed her arms, "You all didn't seem to object to sending him alone with Hunter onto the other side of the world, to find ALL of the dragon eggs."
The Blue dragon began bulls***ing, "Well, that's not true, there was that fairy!"
Bainca stepped closer to the Dragon, "Oh yes, a fairy! How terrifying! If I wanted to, I could have zapped that fairy and cheetah onto either of the moons! No offense Hunter."
"Non taken," replied Hunter.
Dragon Dragon shook his head, "Whatever, you all just get back to work, I have other things to attend to!"
As the dragon flew off, Bianca pouted and turned to Hunter, "Can you believe that? They say that almost all the time when they start loosing an argument!"
Hunter shrugged, "Well, Dragons are kind of stubborn, and hate being proven wrong."
Bainca sighed, "Whatever, let's get back to work."

Twilight had much on her mind, as her flying carriage closed in on Ponyville and her library home. "This is getting wonderful, one third of our Princesses has been knocked into coma, and I have to find a way to stop this, thing, before it does worse. It's like these things happen annually now, like some set of deities trying to entertain each other plan it out that way."
The carriage now dropped downward, and in a few short moments, Twilight was infront of her home. Upon stepping out and sending the drivers off, Twilight sighed, slightly stressed with what she'd been assigned. "Well, if anypony, I can figure this out. Now that I'm home I should gather my friends. At least everything here is in tact."
Suddenly, a crash was heard, and upon looking up, Twilight saw a half tighed Spyro trying to leap off the edge of her balcony. He was promptly caught by the rope, and hung upside down from the balcony struggling with the rope.
"Oh Rarity! I really need a hug!" he yelled.
"Oooh no... -_-" was Twilights first thought.
Rainbow Dash now flew out of the balcony and hovered next to Spyro, "Now are you going to behave kid? Don't make this harder than it needs to be!"
"I just need to snuggle her more! Everybody loves Dragons snuggles! Just bring me to her!" replied Spyro.
Twilight grumbled, and let out her immediate frusteration, "RAINBOW DASH! WHAT DID YOU DO TO THE DRAGON?!"
"AAHH!" Yelled Rainbow, as she quickly turned to Twilight, and smiled sheepishly, "I err... Fluttershy sort of, let him eat a cookie laced with, love potion..."
Twilight was red with anger now. She had only left for a couple hours, and there was already something getting in the way of her newest assignment from the Princess. "Do you realize what this is going to do?! The princess just requested that we head to the Crystal Empire to find out more about the Dark Dragon, and she specifically requested we bring Spyro! Now you already broke him!"
Spyro rolled his eyes, "I just want to hug Rarity, forever. Is that too much to ask?"
Spike came out to the balcony just then, "Yes! It is!"
Twilight glared intensely at Spyro and Spike, both of which shut their mouths immediately. Rainbow Dash notice how much Twilight was stressed out now, knowing Twilight did sometimes have issues with letting stress eat her alive. As such, she quickly landed next to Twilight in order to try and calm her down.
"It's alright Twilight, the potion will wear out in another half hour or so." Said Rainbow Dash while patting Twilight's shoulder, "Just keep a level head an you'll figure this out like you always do!"
Twilight took a few deep breathes, and sat down, "Your right Rainbow, I'm just worried sick..."
Rainbow smirked, "Yeah, you do that often. It's actually understandable this time! But you got to chill out!"
"Alright," replied Twilight, "So, I guess if we keep Spyro here for a bit longer he'll be fine, that gives me plenty of time to gather book that might help us!"
Rainbow took to the air again, "Alright, I think I'll go tell the others to meet us here in a 40 minutes. Then we'll be off."
Spyro got a wide grin, "Your bringing the soft one back! Wonderful! I'm so excited! Get me out of this rope to I can get ready for snuggles!"
Rainbow giggled, "I don't think you'll care by then."
Spyro quickly rebutted, "But if I look sharp enough, I won't have to.", as he grinned subtly.
Spike cocked his head, "What is that supposed to mean?"
Twilight laughed, "Potion drunk Spyro is actually quite funny! Well, see you Rainbow!"
"Later Twi!" replied Rainbow, as she flew off.
Twilight turned back to Spyro hanging a few feet above her. "Now about you..." She lifted him up with her magic, and retied the rope in a much neater way, tying his legs together like a cowboy does, and tying his wings down with the other part of the rope. "There, much better!"
Spyro nodded, "Yep, much better. Rarity will definitely get the idea if I'm tied like this, kind of freaky if you know what I mean."
Twilight hit his head against the wall on her way in, "Oops, my bad." she said sarcastically, "Spike! Come down her with the dragonfly! I need to you help me pack!"
"On it!" replied Spike, before asking, "Twilight, What did he mean by 'freaky'?"
"When your older." replied Twilight.
As the door shut, a mysterious figure came lurked up from behind a bench, gazing over the library. He then spoke in a stereotypical antagonist voice, "The Crystal empire... Yesss. I shall follow you there my precious... But first I have to ask my mom!"
With that, the figure, Button Mash, ran off to his own home.

Fluttershy and Rarity trotted down a path, just a few yards from Fluttershy's cottage.
"I'm sure they're fine darling, How much trouble could they have gotten into while we were gone?" said Rarity.
Fluttershy reached the door and stopped, "Well, They could have went into the woods, found another cockatrice, and been turned to stone..."
Rarity shook her head, "Come now, they learned their lesson last time. All it really takes is good life experience to teach children what is too dangerous for them. Sweetie hasn't tried to give Opal a mud bath in months for instance!"
Fluttershy giggled and she turned the doorknob, "I guess your right."
Upon opening the door however, Fluttershy and Rarity were astonished, as most unexpected, the Cutie Mark Crusaders... WERE PERFECTLY FINE! The Trio sat around Fluttershy's coffee table playing go fish.
Applebloom looked up from her poker face, "Hey Fluttershy, Rarity!"
Scootaloo jumped up, "I think I've got a secret talent for this!" she the pointed at Sweetie Belle dramatically, "Sweetie! do you have... A SEVEN?!"
Sweetie looked up at Scootaloo with an utterly serious poker face, "Go... Fish."
"NOOOOOO!" yelled Scootaloo, "This games rigged."
Sweetie dropped her deck, "Yeah, Let's never play this boring non-violent game again."
Applebloom dropped her cards, "Motion passed."
Rarity laughed, "Good to see you all are behaving, I was worried a bit of irony was going to strike us."
Suddenly, everyone in the room was met with a rather loud explosion, as smoke poured out of Fluttershy's kitchen. There was an immediate flurry of fur and feathers, as critters went running every which way. In response, Rarity glared down the trio, and Fluttershy hid behind Rarity.
Sweetie rubbed the back of her head, "Heh, I guess my cookie is done heating up... I kinda, forgot about it."
Rarity sighed, and closed her eyes in anticipation, as she slowly walked into Fluttershy's kitchen. As it turned out, Sweetie Belle managed to blow the front out of the fire heated oven, and char half of the small room. However, a small circle of pur char remained intact on the rack.
"Fluttershy, I don't mind if you make my little sister clean this up."
Fluttershy eyed the mess, "It's alright, I have plenty of free time."
Rarity lifted the cookie with her magic, "I'll just put this in my trophy room of her accomplishments for a few weeks then. You know what they say, embarrassment is the best teacher."
Fluttershy giggled, "Yea, though, you really need to get her to stop trying too cook..."

Pinkie Pie was very busy today as well, as she was working diligently on a "WELCOME THE NEW DRAGON!" party for Spyro, and a mini "WELCOME THE NEW DRAGONFLY" party. All of the invitations were almost ready, as a pile sat on the on one of the tables at the sugarcube corner. She had also been baking a lot more goods, rapidly zooming from the kitchen to take things out of the oven and put more in, then zooming back out to organize party supplies.
The only problem now, which stumped Pinkie, is what theme should she do? "I really think a miedevil theme party would be awesome! But what if that offends his culture?! Maybe a classic welcoming party like I gave Twilight? No! That would make him feel less unique! Every pony is unique and deserves a unique theme for their party! Hmm... Well, sitting around thinking isn't going to help, I should go find out what he likes! It's perfect, I'll just start various conversations and jokes, allowing him to unwittingly choose all of the parts of his custom party! It will be everything he wants and he won't know it's coming until, BAM!"
"I AM SO SMART!" yelled Pinkie, and the sudden noise of one of the ovens finishing another patch of cookies hit her ears.
Mrs. Cake came downstairs, and nearly lost her mane when the pink blur speed by her. She had let Pinkie spend the "slow time" of the day planning, and even allowed her to use the ovens to make treats for her party like usual, just as long as she paid for half of the materials used. However, She was beginning to worry that this rapid task shifting from Pinkie would end disastrously.
"Careful Pinkie!" she said loudly, "Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself multi-tasking."
PInkie came out of the kitchen with a rack of multi-colored sugar cookies on her back, "Now Mrs. Cake, everything is fine! I am in this special 'zone', where I can switch which 'zone' I am in within meer seconds!"
Mrs. Cake laughed, "Well allow me to help you out with putting the icing on the treats, I mean, it's the least I could do. Besides, Mr. Cake is taking care of the twins today."
Pinkie shook her head, "Nah Mrs. Cake, I got this. Besides, I know you have some much work on your own to feed all these poor hungry customers!"
Mrs. Cake eyed the empty store, "Pinkie, we hardly have anypony in on Sundays."
Pinkie looked at the empty room, "Oh! I must have been so in the zone my mind was making up the noises that usually bustle through here... huh..." Pinkie shook her head, "Well anyway, I guess that means all the help you can do is greatly appreciated! I actually needed to go talk to Spyro before I can continue on deciding the decoration and theme! Then I need to put the theme in all of these invitations!"
Mrs. cake eyed Pinkie, "Pinkie, You do realize almost every pony in town learns of your parties by word of mouth, right?"
Pinkie giggled, "It doesn't hurt to be thorough! Well, I'm off to talk to Spyro!"
"Bye!" replied Mrs. Cake, as Pinkie went out the door.
"This Spyro guy must be pretty hansom or something, Lyra told me he was a model from Fillydelphia. Though Octavia Told me he was a professional music critic from Canterlot... I guess these rumors aren't a good source of information." Mrs. Cake thought to herself
Author's Note
It always confused me that it seemed like non of the Dragons noticed Spyro was gone during Ripto's Rage. I mean, seeing a cutscene of him returning and how the other dragons were either like, "OH my gawd thank goodness, I thought you fell off a cliff or something", or like "Wait, you were gone...? Didn't notice." would be interesting.
Actually, considering most the dragons you rescue in Spyro 1, most probably would be like the second option.
PS: Spyro's world actually does have two moons. If you look at the sky in multiple levels of the first game, TWO MOONS! Now We can have two banished Princesses! One of the night, and one of the... uh... Friendship!
PPS: Will edit more thoroughly tomorrow.
PPPS: Yes, Pinkie can hear when something is ready in the oven, no need for a beep.

Chapter 5: Oh look, the plot is going somewhere. Oh wait, it hit a train.
"Luuuuuna"
"Leave me alone!" Shouted Princess Luna desperately at the blackness.
"Are you my mummy?" replied a distant, unrecognizable voice in a taunting manner, "Oh... your no one's mummy... no one cares of you... no one needs you... how delightful."
Luna wanted to run, but her body felt completely frozen, barely moving at her commands, as she saw nothingness all around. She was incapable of thinking straight, all she knew is that she did not like the voice, and whatever it was is getting closer. "LEAVE!"
"Oh I just love how roomy it got in here! I wonder when the reaper will be coming. " said the voice.
"What are you talking about?!" Demanded Luna in frozen fright, "What do you want?!"
An eerie silence held for a moment, before the answere came, "I have no idea."
Before Luna could question it, she felt a jolt to her body. She fell to the black ground trembling, before another jolt came, and then the third knocked her into consciousness.
With a jump, Luna sat up quickly panting heavily, and saw that she was in the Canterlot Castle Royal infirmary. A Nurse immediately came to her side, "Princess, are you alright? We weren't sure when you would awake."
Luna slowly lied back in slight relieve, before feeling a sharp pain across her chest. With a glance down she saw bandages across her body were claw marks likely were, however, the blood vessels around the bandages were showing in black.
"Nurse, what happened? Where is the dragon?" asked Luna a bit frantically as she recalled prior events.
Before the Nurse could say anything, she was cut off by Princess Celestia, who despite being the largest and one of the most colorful maned ponies in the world, seamed to sneak in, "Nurse, I can take it from here."
The Nurse nodded and left the room, despite being a bit emotionally damaged by neither of the princesses calling her by name even though she was clearly wearing a name tag. This leaving Princess Luna to turn to her sister, "Sister, what happened? Are my men alright?"
Princess Celestia looked at Luna somberly, "They are all alive, but wounded, and have come up with a sort of infection... of which has also afflicted you."
Princess luna pushed herself up, "I noticed the odd marks on my skin, but we have to get to my duties sister, that monster is still out ther-Ow!"
Celestia quickly laid her sister back down, "I'm sorry, but you really need to rest. This infection isn't affecting you as bad as the others, but our doctors can't figure out what it is, and no medicines or magic have had any noticeable affect."
Luna groaned and lied back, "But..."
"No but's," replied Celestia in a maternal tone, "Get your rest, Cadence, Twilight and I have it under control."
Princess Luna sighed an relaxed her body, "One more question then sister, when will our meal arrive?"
Princess Celestia giggled, "It's on the way."
On her way out, Princess Celestia addressed the nurses in the hallway of the rest of the infirmary, "Could one of you get my sister something too eat? And keep checking on every one of the injured in short lapses, we want to record how fast the infection spreads on them."

Due to PRincess Celestia's Last request, once again, Twilight, Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity all had to put their lives on hold. Rainbow Dash was quickly all right with this, as she really liked getting off work for the "Princesses orders". Applejack's family wasn't too disrupted either, as they weren't in any big harvests or plantings at the time.
Rarity was a tad annoyed, as being a proprietor of your own business, means anyone taking time off, even yourself, means loss of profit and a weaker business, which means weaker financial stability and less of a chance at getting her goals. However, despite explaining this to Rainbow Dash and it flying over the pegasus's head, she'd manage well enough.
Then there was Fluttershy, whom didn't like the situation, nor did she like leaving the cottage and her animals to others for more than a day. However, she was willing to come for her friends, and of course, 'QUESTRIA.
Finally, Pinkie Pie was notified last, as Rainbow had a time catching up to her. This definitely disappointed the Pink Mane'd one, however, she had a plan. Have a SURPRISE WELCOMING PARTY AT THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE! She'd had to have her treats and such loaded onto the train without Spyro noticing, but it wasn't too hard to get done.
Spyro himself, awoke late in the day with a thumping headache and a feeling that he had done something pretty dumb. Upon remembering the potion, then remembering how he acted while under the influence of the potion, made him give himself a mental DUI. Twilight assured him everything was fine and all, and he did appreciate finally heading off to get the problems of the land taken care of, but the young Dragon was rather embarrassed, not too mention he was worried if he saw Rarity again the effect would return for some reason.
It was now getting late in the afternoon, as the sun hung low in the sky. Twilight paced infront of her five friends, all lined up at the train station next to their consecutive bags. The train had just pulled in, and Twilight was reading the group for the adventure through motivational speech.
"Alright girls, once we arrive at the crystal empire, we have a mission! This dark dragon has already stolen the Elements of Harmony, and wounded Princess Luna. However, I am sure with cooperation and hard work, we can find out how to beat this beast!" Spoke Twilight.
All of the ponies in the group cheered, as Rarity commented, "Rather nice motivational speech Twilight."
"Thank you Rarity," replied Twilight, "Now, on to the checklist!"
Spike ran up to Twilight holding a list, "On it! Books?"
"Check." Replied Twilight, touting a bag of various books.
"Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash?" asked Spike.
"Check." Replied Twilight.
Spike mumbled a bit and his mood seemed to droop, "OTHER Dragon and dragonfly."
Spyro came up to the other side of Twilight, with a look of utter embarrassment, it was obvious he did not want to be there, leaving Twilight to answer "Check."
Pinkie Pie hopped up to Spyro, "Hey buddy! Sorry I had to postpone the welcoming party."
This really didn't bother Spyro much, "It's fine, I was actually looking forward to getting out somewhere."
Pinkie Pie pulled back as she made puppy dog eyes, "Wait, you don't want to have a welcoming party...?"
"No No no!" answered Spyro whilst shaking his claw, "I just want to... help you all get this problem sorted out first."
With that, Pinkie hopped into the air, "Okie Dokie Lokie!"
Twilight coughed, "Now then, let's get on our way then!"
The five ponies grabbed their bags and headed on board, Applejack stopping before the door.
"Twilight, no offense, but are yah sure we can do anything with out the elements?"
Twilight glanced over to Spyro as he waited, and then looked back at Applejack, "Princess Celestia said we should bring Spyro, he may know some things we don't. Besides, we've solved many problems before without the elements."
Applejack sighed, "Alrighty then, ah just hope we don't loose him too."
As the rest of the ponies passed Twilight and Spyro, Rarity came up touting a large case with her magic, along with her saddlebags. Spike immediately went to assist her, despite the fact she was carrying it fine with magic.
"I'll get that Rarity!"
Rarity replied, "Thank you Spike, I don't mean to be a bother, but I need to continue getting my work done at and away from home."
Twilight giggled at her assistant as he boarded the train with trouble, before noticing with a glance at Spyro her was looking away suspiciously.
"Spyro, are you still upset about the potion incident?"
Spyro looked up to her quickly, "What do you think? It doesn't help that my dragonfly isn't very supportive about it either."
Sparx buzzed at Spyro with a condescending tone while rolling his eyes, causing Spyro to reply, "Sparx! You've been in worse situations!"
Twilight scratched her head, as she didn't understand bug talk, "Look, I'm just going to say, Rarity probably won't bug you about it, and it isn't much to be embarrassed about."
Spyro looked at Twilight for a moment, then shrugged, "Eh, whatever, I figure we ought to be focusing on the other problems at hand though."
"Your right, We all have bunks in the train anyway, best if we got some rest for the Crystal Empire in the morning." replied Twilight.
Spyro pranced into the train seemingly force shifting his mood, "Sounds great, let's get this crazy train a moving!"
The odd group got their bags settled in quickly, as the train began to move. Over the next half hour, the group chatted and told stories amongst themselves, while Spyro kept himself at a distance from Rarity, still rather embarrassed about the, incident. Though really non of the ponies thought it was that bad, Spyro just felt like an idiot, and Sparx wasn't helping by laughing at him. However, with a good bop on the head, the Dragonfly shut up.
Now, at this time, the sun had all but disappeared, and the waxing moon light up the night in an eerie sense of beauty. It had a slightly nostalgic feeling to Spyro, causing him to reminisce his first night out chasing Gnorcs through mazes in order to find treasure and free the older dragons.. How simple life was, or seemed. Now everyday more reality set in on the situations he ended up in, making it feel less like an adventure, and more like a responsibility. Despite this, the satisfaction was still about, and heck, spending time with these ponies wasn't half bad either. Listening in on there conversations on the train this night really set their personality's too Spyro.
"And that is how I beat everypony in town in the Windy five hundred race!" Bragged Rainbow Dash, finishing one of her stories, while gesticulating the end.
Applejack rolled her eyes, "And also how the Mayor decided to not sign off on any more town pegasi races, based on the damage toll."
Pinkie frowned, "Yeah, I like how happy everypony is at big party-like-sporty-things! Why can't we have more in Ponyville?"
Rainbow began scratching the back of her head and looked away, "Well, uh, it's not my fault the others could take the turbulence of my awesomeness!"
Fluttershy, who was in the bunk under Rainbow spoke up, "I guess a few pegasi did, overestimate themselves, by entering... Not that they were dumb or anything."
Spyro giggled too himself as he sat at the far end bunk bed looking out the window."That Flutterpony is too kind about gossip." He thought, "Sheila would like her modesty, too bad every other friend I have is still there, and i'm stuck Malefor knows how far away..."
"I know what yah mean Flutters." replied Applejack, "Some ponies just bite off more than they can chew, when they damn well know they have no experience in the matter."
Twilight spoke up in a bit of defense, "Well someponies need to start somewhere."
"Well they shouldn't start at a professional race!" countered Rainbow Dash, "You have to get race lessons or race your siblings or something!"
Rarity scoffed, "You know, whoever marketed that race didn't market it well, it said it was a friendly small town thing that beginners can try. I'm sure you ruined someponies self esteem by knocking them all out of the course and into the stands at the start."
Rainbow quickly responded, "Well, they likely just got inspired to be like me!"
Pinkie seemingly flew up to Rainbow's side, "Yeah, Scoots definitely liked it! Though I am not sure how a smiling filly pony values against frowning adult ponies yet, I need more math skill first."
After a moment, Twilight butted in, "Well I think that's enough ego stroking for Rainbow, who wants to tell a story next?"
"No more..." said Spike as he rolled in his bunk bed, "You all never go to sleep when your in a room together! This is why I prefer the balloon!"
Twilight rolled her eyes, "Spike, it's eight thirty."
"Well aren't we still on a mission or something? Or are we just going to let Mr. 'I'm a Cool Dragon that gloats and stabs other dragons in the back' do it?" said Spike irritably.
Spyro turned a bit and raised his eyebrow, though he didn't speak up. Twilight however, had much contempt for the comment, "Spike?! That was unnecessary!"
Pinkie hopped in on it too, "Yeah Spikey! Why are you so grumpy?"
Spike groaned, "You all wouldn't understand! I'm just going to find another empty cabin to sleep in."
Twilight sighed, "Fine, just talk to me about it in the morning."
Spike didn't acknowledge Twilight's last sentence as he left Now a bit of awkward silence hit the air. In this time, Sparx flew up next to Spyro and buzzed "Bzzz Bzt Bzzzzz." "Drama queeen!" .
"Well, ah think the baby dragon just needs some good sleep." said Applejack, "Though maybe we should be turnin' in earlier, considerin' the circumstances."
Twilight shrugged, "Well, we won't need to be out right away, let's just keep on with the stories t'ill about ten."
All of the girly ponies giggled, and Spyro lied back into his bed, unsure of whether or not they remembered he was there. He mostly looked out at the mesmerizing moonlight night, a bit regretful that he could walk the path to the Crystal Empire, as the land looked quite beautiful actually.
Then suddenly, he heard his name brought up.
"Spyro, you awake buddy?" asked Rainbow.
Spyro turned slightly confused, "Yeah."
The girls giggled, putting Spyro on alarm, and Rainbow continued, "We were wondering, what do the dragons do for fun?"
Spyro raised his eyebrow, "Well..." "maybe I should bring up burning sheep and hunting..." , "Depends, at day, mostly we restle around, chase things, read sometimes, as long as where not busy otherwise..."
Pinkie groaned, "Boooring!"
Rarity nodded her head, "Yes, get to the better stuff darling, not things we can predict with stereotypes."
"Well, I found a fun time skateboard all over roman training arenas," added Spyro, "It's awesome! Comming off a bit ramp, doing a three sixty, getting a glide with your wings, and nailing the landing."
Rainbow smirked, "Skateboarding eh? You should teach me. "
Spyro sat up and smirked, "That would be fun, but I have NO IDEA how you would stay on it, with hooves and all."
"Oh Oh! I have some superglue!" said PInkie ecstatically.
Every carbon based lifeform in the car laughed. As it died down, Rarity came up with the next question, "What about romance?" she paused for a second and smirked, "You know, how do dragons court each other?"
Spyro blushed madly as he looked all ways but at Rarity, "Uh....."
Fluttershy giggled and spoke up, "When I was young, my mom told me the only thing other than their hoard dragons cared about was their mate. Though I am really sorry if that is wrong in your land..."
Spyro froze up, as thinking back, the older dragons did seem very, dedicated, to their partners. Then the thought hit him, that when he grows up, it is going to be like being on love poison? Dear lord Ted Price...
"Spyro, you alright?" asked Twilight.
The now red faced Dragon had a look of fear, "Y-Yeah... I just have a question... When I get older, will I act like I am on love poison for the rest of my life?!"
The quine in the cabin giggled at first, but then Twilight realized this was actually distressing Spyro, "No no. It's nothing like that! You actually have a say in it. But your hormones will likely make your fondness of women increase come puberty."
"Well I don't see that much of a difference! I mean, It seems like such a waste of time, when I could be adventuring, is it like I will lose my personality and become a mumbling love nut?!" asked Spyro loudly.
"No!" Replied Applejack, "You see Spyro, Ah at least know that all ponies go through puberty as they grow up, but they do nothing more than grow I tell yah! Mind, personality, size, and the whatnot!"
Fluttershy spoke up most insightfully, "Your body and expectations in life will change, but when it comes, you'll be ready for it. Besides, you never truly fall in love with a pony you wouldn't get along with otherwise."
Spyro's blushing began to subside a bit, as Rainbow nodded and added "Because otherwise it's a one night stand, and they are just for pleasure. No mumbling involved."
Spyro thought for a moment, and his expression changed from desperation to curiosity, "I think I kinda get it... but, what's a one night stand?"
Pinkie raised her hoof "I know!".
Twilight coughed as she glared at Rainbow Dash, "I think it'd be best to leave that to your parents."
Spyro cocked his head and glared a bit, "Okay, that always irritates me, not knowing something."
Rarity spoke up, "Twilight, if he wants to know... I think they're old enough by the time they are taking down dictatorships."
Twilight blushed, As Fluttershy mostly curled up into her blanket, and Applejack looking away awkwardly, whilst Pinkie and Rainbow Dash were holding in a laughing fit.
"What? I'm not going to explain it." said Rarity.
Pinkie burst out laughing, "IT'S FUNNY BECAUSE HE IS STILL INNOCENT ABOUT IT!"
Twilight shook her head, "Nope nevermind, where not going over this tonight, got a dark dragon to stop."
Spyro sighed and lied back down, "Maybe it's for the best."
Rainbow chuckled as she got a mischievous look, "It is, but I'll let you in on it later if you want to know."

Chapter 6: The Lovely Crystal Empire.
A screeching sound came to Spyro's ears as he layed in his bunk, He recognized it as the train stopping, and figured he should probably get up. That, or He could just ignore it, and go back to sleep. The dragon didn't feel like waking up just yet, it felt so peaceful in the cheep bed, despite the sounds of the others moving.
Rainbow Dash yawned loudly as she sat up, "I'm still so tired... it isn't even that bright out yet..."
Twilight shrugged, "The Crystal Empire isn't that far away from Ponyville." Twilight look out the window a bit drearily, "We've got an escort to Cadence's castle waiting outside, so we ought to get moving. I'll go get Spike, you girls get ready." She then trotted down to other cabins of the train to find Spike.
Rarity was already up and moving, levitating her bags out of their compartment with magic. It even looked like she managed to put makeup on before any of the others noticed.
Rainbow slumped to the ground, and looked at Rarity with confusion, "How are you so ready this early?"
Rarity shrugged, "I'm used to getting up early really, I have appointments all the time with, let's just say, almost nocturnal blood suckers."
Rainbow smiled, "Executives of fashion corporations?"
Rarity nonchalantly replied "Eeeyup." as she put on her saddle bags and retrieved her rollers.
As the other gather up their bags and tidied their beds, Applejack simply got her hat and bags, then stared at the others. "Y'all didn't need to bring yer entire households yah know."
Rainbow Dash chuckled, then went wied eyed with realization, "I actually could've hitched my house to the train and brought it along."
Pinkie Pie hopped infront of Rainbow Dash, "That would have been awesome!"
A response to Applejack came from Twilight as she just re-entered the room accompanied by Spike, "Well Applejack, I just figured I should be ready for anything."
Spike raised his eyebrow, "Yeah we can throw our books, they's make a great replacement for bricks."
Fluttershy fluttered down to the ground, placing a travel bag on the ground, "Oh, I just brought my usual firs aid kit, and blankets, stuff we might need."
Spike smirked, "See Twilight, she got something we might actually need."
Twilight rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Reading has saved us more than once or twice."
Rarity passed the others, floating multiple large bags with her magic, "A proprietors job is never done, I have to make a living you know."
Rainbow poked Rarity as she passed, "Yeah, you wouldn't be making a living if Equestria was ruined by one of our enemies though."
A face of annoyance came onto Rarity, "I could manage with Sombra or Nightmare moon, but Discord... he'd be to polka dotty form my tastes..."
Suddenly, a loud "SSHHHHHH!" came from Pinkie at the far end of the cabin, "He's still sleeping!"
Spyro stirred a bit in his bed, causing Sparx too fall off of his back, "No.... no, just.... getting ready..."
Pinkie poked Spyro's snout, "Aren't you just the cutest little fella!"
Spyro opened his eyes a bit and waved his claw weakly, "Not cute, just tired..."
Every equine in the room said "D'aaawww" silently, as Spike just groaned. He used to be the one being called cute you know! Despite the fact he didn't like it at all, his irritable mood towards Spyro made this, in his mind, and offensive attack at him. However, Twilight noticed Spike's glaring, and swiflty picked him up with her magic.
"Don't think I forgot about you my little book burner." said Twilight.
Spike groaned with embarrassment, "Twilight, I told you not to call me that in public anymore!"
Twilight giggled, "Whatever you say." as she set him on her back.
In short time, the ponies went outside, Spyro on Pinkie back only half awake, met with the beautiful Crystal Empire, and a group of rather shiny guards waiting to escort them. However, unlike it's usual festive look, the Crystal Empire's citizens were quick on their feet, and security was amped up. It appeared the threat of danger was taken more seriously in these parts of the woods.
The shininess was still there though, and it managed to stir Spyro awake, "Man, Sparx, is this your homeland."
Sparx's eyes widened, as thousand of thoughts went through the small dragonfy's mind, befor he replied "No" flatly in bug speak.
"Come with us Mrs. Sparkle" spoke up the guard leading the escort, "Princess Cadence is waiting in the castle.
Spyro hopped off of Pinkie with new coming energy, "Thanks for the lift."
Pinkie Smiled as the group began to trot towards the castle, "Thank you for taking ground Pinkie! Please come again!"
Spyro rolled his eyes with a smirk, "I would, but the Agents are too annoying and creepy."
Pinkie huffed comedically, "I know! I don't want them having a picture of me naked!"
Rarity turned back, "Your already naked, dear."
"Oh yeah!" Replied Pinkie, "Doesn't mean I want to be all felt up by some weirdos though."
Twilight turned back completely confused, "What are you talking about?!"
Spyro and Pinkie looked at each other, "It's and inside joke." they replied at the same time.
Twilight turned away unsure of herself, "Riiiiiight...."
The group looked around the city with awe, as Spyro especially was fascinated. However, the dragon did note the appearance of a martial law state, as there were very few ponies other than guards outside. The guards escorting them also wanted to get them inside in a hurry, as if something might grab them from the sky.
Upon Reaching the Castle, Spyro looked around with curiosity. However, the group was practically pushed through the halls with speed, before arriving in the throne room abruptly.
"Twilight!" Said Princess Cadence as she rand forward and hugged her, "Are you alright?!"
Twilight nodded as she pulled back from the hug, "Yes, of course! Is something wrong?"
The other ponies and dragons with Twilight looked at Cadence oddly, before she sighed and said, "Yes, I thought they told you already. Shining Armor was hurt."
Twilight gasped, "Oh no! Is he alright! What happened?! Can I help with anything?!"
"I brought my first aid supplies." suggested Fluttershy quickly.
Princess Cadence raised he hoof to Twilight before speaking, "He is alright, he's just in the infirmary with his guards who were also hurt. The Black Dragon attacked the Empire, and Shining lead a force out thinking it was after the Crystal Heart. But he was injured badly..."
Applejack spoke up quickly, "Well what happend to the Crystal heart? Y'all still have it, right?"
Cadence looked down somberly, "As of now, the city is defenseless outside of our guard. It's not that the heart was taken, but the population is in a state of fear, and the heart just, blackened. I don't know what to say!"
Rainbow Dash flew up to Cadence, "Well can't we just organize another festival, get he spirits moving again?"
Pinkie hopped up, with party supplies that appeared to come out of nowhere, "Yeah! Let's get started!"
"No!" warned Cadence, "We don't want to risk having the dragon swooping down and burning everything up! It was able to get through the magic shield like it wasn't really alive. So the best we can do is keep and open eye and put up another shield if an army shows up."
Twilight scratched her head, "This is a predicament... I guess the first thing should be seeing Shining Armor, he may know a thing or two about it."
Cadence nodded somberly, "The doctors said he should gain consciousness shortly this morning, though they are worried about an infection that has appeared on him and the others."
One of the guards came into the room and spoke up, "We just got word that Shining Armor is awake and wants to speak to you Princess."
"Convenient." commented Spike.
"Let's get going then." Said Princess Cadence to the guard.
The group was lead through the castle at a slower pace this time, likely due to the royalty being among them. In this time Spyro walked up next to Princess Cadence, eying her, then eying on the guards, then her again. Cadence noticed him then, and greeted him, "Hello, Your Spyro if I cam correct?"
Spyro nodded, "Yeah, I'm Spyro. But... Why aren't you all crystal-y like the others here? Aren't you the Crystal princess or what-not?"
"I wasn't actually born here, I was appointed to come get things in order here when the Empire reappeared, but that's a whole other story."
Spyro raised his eyebrow, "Okay then... also, why do you get a stabber and flyers? All the others if seen only have a stabber, or a pair of flyers, not both."
Princess cadence raised and eyebrow, then realize he was referring to her horn and wings, "Oh! I'm an Alicorn. Princess's tend to be that around here. I guess it's a symbolism thing." she finished with a giggle, "Twilight actually asked me the same thing when we first met."
Twilight blushed, "I was eight and behind on my studies..."
Suddenly, one of the guards coughed, "We're here."
Upon entering the room, Shining Armor immediately sat up, "Cadence! Twilly!"
Princess Cadence ran forward and hugged him, "You should be sitting up just yet."
Shining smirked and grunted with a bit of pain, "I'm a man honey, I can man through this."
Twilight came to his other side, "He big brother", She got a closer look of his wounds now, a cut of the face, and deeper claw marks down his stomach, accompanied by bruises and what appeared to be a infection beginning in the blood vessels.
"Hey Twilly, your big brother got in a bit of a pickle." said Shining with a smile.
Spike looked up from next to Twilight with worry, Shining immediately noticing him, "Hey Little guy, don't worry about me! I'll bounce back in no time!" he said with rubbing Spike head.
Cadence spoke up again, "Shining honey, Twilight wants to find out anything she can about the Dragon that attacked you."
Shining smile faded fast, "Hmmph, I can't, remember much... My magic didn't work on it..."
Sitting back at the edge of the room, Spyro began to trail off listening to the conversation, as he admired the room. The crystal was gorgeous, and was well cut. the room even looked as the it was carved out, and this whole castle was originally a giant crystal behemoth. Part of him wanted to take as much of it home as he could, but the rational side of the dragon's brain knew that wouldn't work.
After a few moments, Spyro began to figure something was odd. It was a lack of sound, and with Sparx knocking on his noggin to pay attention, he realized everypony was staring at him.
With a cough, Twilight repeated herself, "Spyro, Shining Armor wants to get a better look of you."
Spyro smiled awkwardly, "Sorry, your castle is just so... yeah, got to stop looking at it." With that, he slowly walked up to shining's bed, his head just high enough to look over. He could almost feel Shining Armor's stare, as he appear to judge eveyr part of the dragon.
After a moment, Shining began to talk, "So, are you carnivorous then?"
Cadence shot Shining a bit of a glare, but Spyro quickly replied, "Well, I like plants too, well, some of them. I guess other dragons are meat exclusive though."
Getting a good look of Spyro's teeth, Shining nodded, "Okay..." he grunted a he shifted position upward, "Can you tell me anything about how to stop a large dragon? It was a similar shape of your's, but with black fire around its body, and larger claws."
Spyro looked at Sparx, who looked at him unsurely, "Well, I don't know..."
Shining huffed a bit, "Do you know, or do your just not want to tell me?"
"Shining, please." Cadence responded, while Twilight looked at her unsurely.
"Sorry honey, but I need to know."
"Look", Spyro spoke up in a slightly more serious tone, "It all depends, I guess I know i should tell you a weakness, but..." Spyro shook his head, try to dismiss a strange hissing in hi ears, "I-It's not right."
Shining grumbled, before Twilight interjected, "What do you mean not right?"
Spyro rubbed his head and sat back, as Sparx had a concerned look on his face. "It's a..." The crystal room began to light up to his eyes, but non of the others seemed to notice, "There's a poison you can m-a-" he suddenly stopped, holding his head, feeling an unusual sense of discomfort.
Twilight noticed Spyro's discomfort, "Are you alright?"
Spyro looked up to Twilight, "Yeah, It's just head stuff."
Cadence and Twilight exchanged a concerned look, and Cadence spoke up, "I think that's enough for now."
Suddenly, another guard burst into the door, "Princess, It's back!"
Shining immediately tried to stand up, but Caden stopped him, "No shining, your wounded, we can take care of this."
Shining armor sighed and looked down, "Careful Twi!"
Twilight and Cadence Nodded, and headed out with the rest of their friends.
_____________________________________________________
Spyro Twilight, and the others ran to the large balcony off of the Crystal Castle, as they looked down to see the Black Dragon everyone's been talking about circling above the city, spiting explosives at the ground below in a very synthetic manner. Black fire surround it, as it circled, then speed down in a dive, spitting a row of explosives and causing more damage, as if it wanted the attention.
"I take it that's what were here for?" asked Spyro as he observed the Dragon.
"Yes, but we need to figure out how to stop it. Magic didn't seem to work well, so maybe if Rainbow Dash-"
Without Twilight noticing, Spyro quickly backed from the balcony, then charged forward and off of it, surprising Twilight suddenly. Rather than taking to the air, he dived down and began running down the side of the castle, a trail of smoke forming behind his feet as he speed up.
"Or he can just do that." said Twilight with a frown.
Rainbow Dash's mouth gaped open, "I have a feeling this will be awesome."
Spyro speed up fast, as the slope of the building began to curve up, and the smoke behind him turning red with the high speeds. He grinned widely and determined, as he came off the building, and seconds later launched of the curve of the one nearest the castle. Using his wings to aim for the Black Dragon, Spyro then bashed literally head on into it's side. However, it was a LOT harder than he anticipated, which REALLY hurt. However, both him and the dragon fell to the ground.
Rainbow Dash flew down Quickly, as Twilight and the others gasped, and turned to run down to the ground floor of the castle. Spyro was sent rolling along the ground, before he smaked into the side of a crystal, and fell back. His head hurt like a female dog, and Sparx noted that, using his special magic to sooth the pain a bit, also turning the dragonfly himself blue.
The Dark Dragon slide across the ground, with a harsh cutting sound, as it's claws scratched the ground light metal spike on a chalkboard. It then straightened it posture upright, with an odd sound of hydraulics moving it's legs. The fire around it then began to dissipate.
Rainbow landed next to Spyro as he looked up at the dragon, and she immediately said, "Oh my gosh! That was AWESOME! You've got too... show... me... Wait, the dragon is silver?"
Spyro and Sparx squinted at the Dragon, the last of the black flames dissipated, "No, it's a machine! I've seen robot before, just not that, uncanny!"
Rainbow stared at it, "Robot? I've only heard rumors of them."
The yellow glass eyes of the twelve foot machine stared down at Rainbow and Spyro, As Sparx was absent on account of an animation error. The machine then groaned, and steam let out of it's sides.
Twilight finally arrived with the others and Princess Cadence, as she gasped at the sight of the machine, "That's no dragon at all!"
Pinkie gasped as well, "Ooow, Spyro, that must've hurt head bashing into..."
Spyro felt his horns to make sure they weren't broken off, then replied, "And it did!" while Sparx was suddenly yellow again, on account of another animation error.
Suddenly, the chest of the Dragon Machine opened, and a short, familiar man came out of it. Wearing a dark purple robe and pants, with a white shirt and red crystal necklace, it was Spyro old nemesis, Ripto . However, his appearance was... less appealing, with burned marks and wrinkles all about his red skin, Spyro felt a bit nauseous looking at him.
"Hello old friend" Said Ripto bitterly, as he held his hands together, "How have you been? I've been really busy being burned by lava."
Guards now surrounded Ripto and the machine he emerged from, as he simply glanced at them, only really focusing on Spyro much, with a mix of bitterness and fear. Twilight looked at Spyro then, "You know him?"
Spyro nodded, "I kind of, sent him into a pit of lava, which he made trying to kill me."
Princess Cadence suddenly stepped forward, accompanied by two guards directly to her sides, while countless others surrounded Ripto, "You! Why have you been attacking us?! What did you do with the Elements of Harmony?"
Ripto smirked, "Oh, I just figured i'd put them in my own safe, for safe keeping. Though if you ever needed them you;d have to ask me."
"RETURN THEM." Scolded Cadence in a more threatening tone than the others thought she could reach.
Ripto frowned, "Or what? You going to arrest me?" He then glared towards Spyro and yelled, "Or are you going to just have that purple bastard beat me up for you?!"
Ripto the n glance to the side, then stared to the side again, directly at Spike, "There's another one?! GREAT! Just great!"
The guards had had enough, "Your under arrest, put your arms up!"
Suddenly, a shadow appeared over everyone there, and it shrunk more and more, before a large green creature landed on the ground, sending a wave of energy across the ground knocking all of the guards back. As the creature emerged from the crater of smashed crystal, and revealed itself to be Gnasty Gnorc , sporting nordic type armor.
"Gnasty Gnorc?!" Exclaimed Spyro.
"Shaving cream just got real!" Said Pinkie π.
Spike huffed, "Jeez Spyro, it seems like all of your exes are returning."
"SHUT UP!" Yelled Gnasty Gnorc, "I need to monologue!"
Rainbow Dash suddenly flew forward, "Why don't I just smack you in the fa-" She was abruptly cut off by being smacked by Gnasty's mace, sending her rolling back to the others.
Fluttershy and Applejack immediately came to help Rainbow up, before glaring back at Gnasty.
"Now then," Gnasty Began, "You may think you have us surrounded, But Ripto gave me the go, so my army of Gnorcs, created by your very own crystals, are besieging the city already!"
Ripto laughed, "Basically, if anyone is going to be read the miranda rights, it's the lot of you!"
The ponies glared back, unsure of what to do, when Spyro stepped forward, "Is this really your plan?"
Ripto and Gnasty were taken slightly aback, as Spyro continued, "You go through the work of stealing these ponies weapon-y things, build a bad arsenal mecha-dragon, all to just have a army of Gnorcs attack the city? I could beat you both right now if I didn't want to make fun of your strategy."
Twilight spoke up, "Spyro, I really think we have a bigger situation then you think."
Spyro rolled his eyes, "Sure it will be a bit of work, But really, two of my old enemies unite, just to face me head on, while I have a bunch of allies here now? It's just so poorly planned."
Ripto charged forward, but Gnasty picked him up by the head holding him back, "I'm gonna get him! I'm going to get him!"
Gnasty rolled his eyes, "Ripto, the plan."
Ripto stopped, "Oh yeah, the plan."
"What?" Asked Spyro, getting ready to jump.
Ripto Smirked, "You're our secret weapon, Dragon!"

DUN DUN DUUUUUNNN!!!
What would you prefer? Stabbers or flyers? I guess neither is an option, but that is quite boring...
And yes, I would script animation errors if I had the chance.
My Little Spyro, Friendship is Flammable.
LAST TIME, ON FIMFICTION BALL Z!
Ripto laughed, "Basically, if anyone is going to be read the miranda rights, it's the lot of you!"
The ponies glared back, unsure of what to do, when Spyro stepped forward, "Is this really your plan?"
Ripto and Gnasty were taken slightly aback, as Spyro continued, "You go through the work of stealing these ponies weapon-y things, teaming up and traveling to this world, building a bad arsenal mecha-dragon thing, all to just have a army of Gnorcs attack the city?" Spyro laughed a bit, "I could beat you both right now if I didn't want to make fun of your strategy."
Twilight spoke up, "Spyro, I really think we have a bigger situation then you think."
Spyro rolled his eyes, "Sure it will be a bit of work, But really, two of my old enemies unite, just to face me head on, while I have a bunch of allies here now? It's just so poorly planned... I've seriously dealt with much worse."
THIS TIME!
The group of Ponies and two dragons of the color purple stared unsurely at Ripto and Gnasty, as it apear both of them where waiting for something to happen. However, after numerous seconds of growing awkwardness, the Antagonist seemed slightly puzzled, and the protagonists even more so.
Gnasty Gnorc lowered his mace and sighed, before tunring around to face the large mechanical dragon Ripto was running priorly, "AHEM, 'You are our secret weapon dragon,'"
After a few more seconds Ripto groaned, and turned around to Gnasty to yell, "DANGIT GNASTY! I TOLD YOU NOT TO DOWNLOAD THE FLIPPERDOODLIN' UPDATE!"
Gnasty sighed, "The Rhinoc said the voice commands sometimes turn off, maybe if we kick it..."
"AHEM!"
The dou of antagonists turned around to see a really peeved Princess Cadence staring into their souls, "YOU TWO BETTER SURRENDER NOW, or go the HARD way!!"
Ripto laughed, "It thinks it has authorita! How cute!"
Cadence groaned, and yelled, "GUARDS!!", triggering the group of about nine guards into attacking postions, before they charged towards Gnasty and Ripto. Within seconds, they where nearly ontop of the two, when suddenly, A large burst of black flames sent the front four flying back.
Twilight and the others of the mane six exchanged shocked looks, as the large dragon stood back up on it's own. Spyro couldn't help but feel nervous about the uncanny look of the thing, while little did he know Spike was thinking the same thing. Ripto and Gnasty laughed in unison, as the metal beast stepped infront of them, and loudly projected "THREAT DETECTED, NEUTRALIZING."
The remaning five guards took to quick action, two of which used their magic to fire powerful stunning spells. The of three being pegasi took to the air, and with their spears, began to swoop down from different angles at the metal dragon.
The magic beams where immediatly dissolved as the dragon emitted a cloak of black fire around it's body. It then quickly jumped and kicked one of the pegasi away, and in mid-flip, grabbed another and threw it to the ground. The last pegasus narrowly spun and dodged the dragons tail, and launched the spear into the dragon, only to see it shatter like glass, before the last pegasus was backhanded away.
Twilight, Rainbow, and Applejack quickly sprinted forward to pull the other guards away from the metal dragon, narrowly avoiding another blast of flames. Fluttershy however was cowering behind Pinkie, who was doing her best to not be scared as well. Once the fire cleared from the last blast, Rarity and Cadence quickly pulled back the wounded guards with their magic, hoping the dragon wouldn't turn on them immediatly.
"What the heck is that thing?!" exclaimed Twilight as she had he magic ready.
Applejack quickly added "Whatever this demonic machine is, It must have a weakness!"
Spike was the first to turn to Spyro, who he noticed was staring at the Metal dragon with confusion, "Spyro, aren't you going to try to do something?!"
Spyro jumped slightly, and looked to Spike with a look of slight surprise, "Sorry I wasn't paying attention..."
Spike groaned quickly, and repeated, "You have to have some sort of an idea to beat this thing!"
"Well.... not yet." replied Spyro, and he examined the dragon, "I was just going to try and avoid it's attacks and spot a weakness..."
That irritated Spike, who yelled, "Seriously! You'll get killed!"
Spyro growled and replied back, "If I wasn't being distracted, maybe I'd of tried something by now!"
"Uh, guys..."
Spike rolled his eyes, "Yeah, because just jumping in willy nilly like you did earlier will fix anything! You're just a huge moron who just happens to be tougher than most of his enemies!"
Sparx buzzed nervously as he looked away, but Spyro didn't hear as he replied, "I am NOT a moron! I'm not incompetent, I'M NOT JUST SOME STUPID ADOLESCENT!"
"VOICE RECOGNIZED, PRIMARY TARGET DISCOVER, COMMAND, GO THROUGH WITH PLAN?"
Spyro and Spike looked up to see the large mechanical dragon staring down the two of them. Before they could say anything, Ripto replied, "YES! Get him! Get that short purple brat!"
The Dragon's head cocked, then turned back straight, "COMMAND ACCEPTED, RETRIEVING SUBJECT"
"DUCK!" Yelled Twilight, promting Spike, Spyro, and Sparx the dragonfly to immediately do so, right before a blast of wind sent the metal dragon yards away and into another crystal building.
"GET THE GREEN AND RED ONE!" Yelled Cadence to the remainder of her guards, who nodded, and charged for Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto.
"You can handle this, right big guy?" asked Ripto.
"Yes," replied Gnasty, as he lifted his magic mace, "Just get to the ruins and prepare everything!"
Ripto nodded, and cast a spell that somehow beamed him away into the sky, vanishing. Gnasty immediately swung his mace and sent one guard to the ground, before he began fighting three more.
On the other side of things, Spyro noticed the metal dragon standing back up, and staring him down. In response, Spyro quickly charged down a street to the left, leaving the dragon to chase him down that way, jumping right over Spike in the process, startling him. Quickly shaking this, Spike jumped to his feet a ran down the same street after the Dragon.
Thinking quickly, Tiwlight turned to her friends, "Rainbow, Applejack, you see if you can help Spyro, I'll deal with that.. Gnorc." She quickly turned to a worried looking Cadence, "Cadence, I thinking you should get back to the castle and start commanding the rest of the cities defense, the whole "army" thing may not have been a bluff."
"Alright Twilight, be careful though!" Replied Princess Cadence.
Applejack and Rainbow Dash looked at each other and nodded, before quickly heading down the way Spyro did. Rarity then asked "Twilight, what should Fluttershy and I do?"
"Get these guards back to the castle quick, then try to keep the citizens out of harms way the best you can." replied Twilight.
Rarity nodded and turned to Fluttershy, who took a deep breath and aid, "I think I can handle that."
Twilight nodded, "Alright!", and as the others headed off, Twilight turned her attention to Gnasty, who was locked in a duel with two Earthpony crystal guards. Taking a deep breath, she shouted, "Hey green jerk!", causing him to glare in her direction, "I bet you're not impervious to magic!"
__________________________________________________________
"run, zig, run, zag, don't die, run...." *CRASH*, "RUN ZIG ZAG RUN!"
Seeing a chance to trip up the metal dragon, Spyro charged into a large crystal park, and careened to the right, as the metal dragon tried to skid to a stop, only being sent by momentum into a park bench and onto it's side, a dilemma for a machine like it.
Noticing that it seemed to take a bit for the mechanical dragon to stand itself up, Spyro charged back towards it, and held his fire, before spitting a fireball into it's underside. However, the blast didn't seem to do much but stagger it further, So Spyro turned around and leaped behind another crystal bench.
Panting heavily, both from the fireball and constant running, Spyro considered his options. "This thing seems a bit off balance, Maybe if I let it run itself into these crystal building it will fall apart..."
He looked over the bench slightly to see the metal dragon turning it's head like and owl around the park, searching for him. Getting ready to jump out, he repositioned to the other side of the bench. It was then he heard a familiar voice yell: "HEY METAL JERKWAD!"
The Mechanical Dragon turned quickly and focused on Spike. It paused for a moment as Spike glared, visibly holding a large crystal shard. The dragon then said: "SUBJECT NOT SPYRO PETER ZEMBILLAS, HOWEVER, SUBJECT IS SIMILAR, PREPARING TO CAPTURE EXTRA SUBJECT."
"NO!" Yelled Spyro, causing the Metal dragon to turn and see him. Before it could readjust it's commands, Spike threw his crystal shard, nailing the metal dragon in one of it's eyes, causing a crack.
"BODY DAMAGE DETECTED, THREAT LEVER RAISED, USE OF TOXIN APPROVED."
"Toxin?" asked Spike.
The Mechanical Dragon began to emite a smoke like substance from it's mouth. It then turned to Spyro, and opened it's jaw, spewing out a grey foggy gas at him. Spyro narrowly dodged, but in the process he and Sparx got a whiff of the gas, causing them both to cough and tear up.
It turned to Spike, who immediately began running clockwise around the park, as the dragon began to spit more of the gas around after him.
Suddenly, the two dragons ran into each other, falling to the ground with the combined might of their thick skulls. Sparx began panicking as the dragon was about to spit the gas right onto them, so the small dragonfly flew up and blasted pure light into the dragon's eyes, causing it to spew gas in the air and spin it's head around like an owl again.
Spike and Spryo pulled themselves back up, and glared at each other, before Spyro noticed what Sparx was doing. Taking advantage of the distraction given by his dragonfly, Spyro charged forward, and propelled himself into the belly area of the metal dragon with his legs and wings. The impact hurt like purgatory, as he rolled back and fell to his back. Yet he managed to stagger the Mechanical Dragon.
Sparx flew away from the dragon, as he was getting to much of the gas and feeling weakened. So he returned to Spyro, while Spike noticed that the dragonfly's color changed to blue. The Mechanical Dragon managed to regain it's balance and vision in seconds, and lock back onto both dragons.
This time, however, Rainbow Dash kicked right into the Dragon's side from the air, and knocked it onto the ground. Applejack followed up by launching her rope around the machines muzzle and jaw, as she pulled back to hold it down. Spike was relieved yet tired, likely from the gas in the air, as he stood bad up and helped Sparx lift Spyro up, who was suffering from a headache.
"It's looks like I got here just in time!" said Rainbow Dash, "If it weren't for that smoke stuff, I wouldn't have been able to get such a skilled shot on this metal-dragon though."
Spyro and Spike smiled between their cough's, and Spyro replied, "Thanks, but if it weren't for this gas, I'd have already got that shot!"
Applejack was still being strained by trying to hold down the dragon, and glared up at Rainbow, who replied, "Oh yeah, oops!", before swopping down and grabbing the rope with AJ. The mechanical dragon was trying to lift it's head up to see what was happening, so Spyro and Spike ran towards it's front legs. Spyro tail wipped one of the metal beasts forelegs down, and Spike shoulder charged the other, causing it to hit the ground hard.
Next, the two real dragons quickly jumped onto the Metal Dragon's belly area to hold it down. This seemed to be wearing the machine out, until the entire front of the dragon opened up, and released a large cloud of the gas. Spike and Spyro immediatly felt a loss of energy, Spike rolling off, and Spyro struggling to stagger away. Everything was getting foggy, but he tried to remain conscious. It was in vain, as the Mechanical Dragon was now able to launch Rainbow and Applejack to the other side of the park and loose the rope.
The two weakened ponies tried to stand up and do something, but within seconds the dragons was flying into the air, clearing most of the gas, and carrying both dragons away. Rainbow tried to fly after it, but fell to the ground after three flaps. It was not use waiting for the effects of the gas to wear off, as by now Mechanical Dragon was gone.
___________________________________________________________________
With a blast of magic, Gnasty Gnorc was sent into the wall of yet another crystal house, cracking it slightly, and giving the three guards trying to take him on time to recover. Twilight Sparkle ran up horn ready, and and fire a knock-out spell at Gnasty's head. The Gnorc quickly lifted his magic mace, and stopped the blast right infront of his face, absorbing the spell.
"What... LOOK OUT!" yelled Twilight, as Gnasty sent her own spell flying back in a much more powerful and unstable form. She managed to teleport out of the way, but the blast of magic knocked out of one the guards, as the other two began to flank around Gnasty's side.
"Get his mace!" Yelled one of the two guards, the they charged forward. Gnasty swung a blast of magic at them, but the two jumped over, narrowly avoiding a small blast and growth of a crystal spike right behind them. Twilight charged forward as well with her game face on and a teleport spell ready. Gnasty swung the same spell at here seconds after the last, however, she dissapeared in a blast of purple, followed by the green of Gnasty's blast. Suddenly, she reappeared right infront of him, as the two guards where about to pounce.
In response, Gnasty suddenly jumped somewhere around 18 feet into the air, causing the ponies to fall to the ground. He then pounded his mace to the ground when he landed, sending a ground level wave of energy at Twilight and the guards, sending them into the crystal building.
Twilight staggered and pulled herself back up, "Why don't you learn something other than blunt magic for a change?" she asked with a smirk. Before Gnasty could respond with a angry remark, Twilight used her magic to grow numerous purple energy emitting vines through the crystal ground. Right when the Gnorc noticed, the vines all wrapped around his arms, body, and mace, pulling towards the ground.
"Come on..." Grunted Twilight, holding the vined with her magic against Gnasty's strength. Yet despite her efforts, Gnasty ripped his mace arm free, and swung his mace into the rest of the plants, casting a spell that set them ablaze.
"For a second, I thought that you ponies might have actually had me there..." said Gnasty are he turned to the worn out Twilight, "But now I see that was far too ignorant to think, you have such a horrible grasp of how to use magic effectively."
"Yeah? Like pure destruction and wild swinging is the only use for magic." rebutted Twilight, "Why are you doing this anyway?!"
Gnasty smiled "For a power you wouldn't try to understand, out of ignorant morals!"
It was then the two of the heard a metallic screech, and turned to see the metal dragon speeding off, holding something purple in both front claws. Gnasty smiled widely as he turned to Twilight, "Well, it appears we've crippled your city enough and got what we wanted, so goodbye purple pony thing and weird crystal/pony lovebabies."
Twilight tried to cast a shield around Gnasty to keep him from running, bu he smashed through it with his mace, and jumped away with enormous strides, disappearing between the buildings.
Twilight knew that they likely captured Spyro, so after quickly making sure the guards could get their wounded, she ran down the general direction Rainbow and Applejack did. After a few minutes of searching through groups of parnoid guards and ponies running for their homes, she saw the two of the trotting urgently towards her.
"Twilight! Ah'm so sorry, that thing got em!" Said Applejack, fighting through the rings in her eyes and the effects of the gas, "Jeez, that thing had some sort ah sleeping gas..."
Twilight noticed Rainbow Dash nearly collapsing, so she quickly held the pegasus back up and asked, "The Dragon got Spyro then? Did you see where?"
Applejack Shook her head, "It took off northeast ah guess, but It could be anywhere..." she shook her head to wake up more, "And that thing got Spike too."
Twilight's eyes widened, as she realized she forgot to make sure Spike was safe, a wave of guilt and anger suddenly washed over, as she only yelled: "What?!"

Our story begins in a world far from Equestria, within a land called the DragonrRealms. Here, many types of dragons resided over the different realms of land. Many places were connected by portals, arcs that allowed almost instantaneous transport for convenience. Along with dragons, were multiple races such as fairies, wizards, and more, yet dragons resided as the main power in the realms.
One particular dragon, was a thirteen-year old purple dragon named Spyro, who was always accompanied by his golden dragonfly, Sparx. Spyro had two orange horns and wings, purple scales all around, and a white underbelly. He had a mischievous but loyal personality. Unlike the other Dragons, he intended to make the most out of his childhood, even if he had to defeat three powerful adversaries and their armies. Of which, he already did so.
In his first big adventure, Spyro was the only dragon not turned into a crystal statue by Gnasty Gnorc, a creature that was a mix between a gnome and orc. Gnasty had a bad attitude and hatred for dragons, and intended to take over the dragon realms. Gnasty was also accompanied by multiple powerful allies who reigned over each separate realms, and his army created by magic and the dragons very own treasure. However, Spyro began freeing the other dragons, defeating his army, and beat Gnasty face to face.
About three months later, Spyro went on his second adventure, in a land called Avalar. He got there through portal malfunction, incited by the locals of Avalar in need of help. He was then informed of a plight from multiple residents of Avalar, including Hunter the cheetah, Elora the faun, Zoey the fairy, and Professor the mole. It was not long till Spyro met his near opposite, a mad wizard named Ripto, who was spreading chaos through Avalar. After some quick bantering, Ripto headed off to take over the nearby homeworld castle. Spyro was then forced to gain support of the locals of all the lands in Avalar, and to chase down Ripto through three different castles, until finishing him in an epic battle. There Ripto fell into a lake of lava, and Spyro was able to return home and enjoy the beaches of dragon shores.
Finally, Spyro’s last, and possibly most important adventure, was in the Forgotten Realms, on the polar opposite side of the world from the Dragon Realms. A sorceress trainee named Bianca, and numerous troops called Rhinocs, raided the Dragon Realms and stole all of the dragon eggs, by order of the queen of the forgotten realms, a large blue lizard named the Sorceress. Bianca and the Rhinocs retreated through odd magic holes in the ground before the dragons could stop them. Spyro, being the only one small enough to fit, followed them through immediately, accompanied by Hunter and Zoey.
In short time, Spyro was informed by a local named Sheila the Kangaroo, that the Forgotten Realms were not only in distress from the Sorceress’s reign, but the magic in all of the lands was fading ever since the dragons were banished long ago. Basically, this meant wizards ego’s were lowering, and portals were shutting down, even isolation some from their homes.
Through help from new friends in the forgotten realms, Spyro fought the Rhinoc armies, recovered the dragon eggs, and defeated the sorceress’s powerful monsters one by one. Bianca, who lead the raid of the dragon eggs, was sent out to try everything in her power to stop Spyro, from traps, to monsters, to spells. However, she formed an emotional bond with Hunter, and realized that her mentor, the Sorceress, was indeed quite evil. As such, she joined Spyro, and led him to the Sorceress herself, leading to her dethroning.
It has been about four months since Spyro had finished his adventure on the other side of the world. All the baby dragons were back home, and the Sorceress no longer reigned over anyone. The biggest problem one would face these days is the occasional bad weather system, and stray violent Rhinoc with rabies.
Spyro had just woken up ready for the day. The young dragon actually had what one would call a nice lifestyle in return for his "world saving". He spent most of his days lounging around and trying to entertain himself. Dragon Shores was already getting old though, and Spyro had not done much in the past few days other than rough house with rams. However, going on massive adventure makes the little things seem even littler.
He walked out across the hills of the Artisan's homeworld with his dragonfly buddy Sparx. The land had come to be a very nostalgic place to him. Right now the other Dragons were doing daily business of either making sure everyone was behaving or taking part in the recent attempts at diplomacy and bureaucracy. Spyro hardly understood what those terms meant, but the dragons had to use it to negotiate with the people's from the Forgotten Realms.
One thing Spyro was very interesting in though, was the Superportal version 2, of which his friend from Avalar, the Professor, was working on. The Professor was intending to use this second Superportal to make it so the dragons could travel to the Forgotten Realms on the other side of the world easier. This, in turn, could help them set up new republics since the Sorceress’ recent dethroning.
Upon coming up to the large arc in the middle of the main castle complex of the Artisans, Spyro saw the Professor working on the coordinate input keys, while Bianca hung about right near him. The Superportal Version 2.0 was a large, stone archway, with emerald green orbs in the sides of it. The gateway sat on a large circular stone platform, and had three large triangular shapes coming off the top, of which sent and received signals farther. Excited to see some old pals, he ran up quickly and made some conversation.
"So it's about up and running now?" asked Spyro, eying the multiple power orbs on the side of the forty foot arch.
The short mole looked up from the control panel petruding off the side of the Arch, "Just about, I'm making sure the coordinates are perfect this time, don't want another Ripto incident flying through this thing when we turn it on. Not to mention since it is impossible for it to go through the center of our planet, I have to make sure it hooks up to multiple points around the planet in order for it to send one to the target location. Otherwise it'd just bounce back and send you onto one of the moons." replied the Professor.
The paragraph mostly flew over Spyro's head , so Bianca summed it up, "In other words, he's not letting Hunter try any more birthdays as coordinates."
Spyro laughed for a second, then replied, "I just can't wait to be using portals again rather than jumping through those holes in the ground you make. I get all nauseous and what not."
Suddenly, the portal began to hum, and the energy orbs on it blinked rapidly. The Professor simply jumped back from the control panel with a look of bewilderment.
"Professor, did you turn that on?" asked Bianca as she backed away.
The Professor poked his head from the side of the arch and stared at it with surpise , "No, It's acting like it just got connection from somewhere else!"
The Super Portal zapped, and electricity flowed through the arch area, and suddenly opened its gateway of energy. The portal energy swirled and turned purple, while beginning to shake unstably.
"Perhaps it is a good idea to prepare for something big to come through..." suggested Spyro, as he and the others began to back away.
Then, a certain pink dragoness the same age as Spyro, popped up behind him, "Hey Spyro!"
"AH!" screamed Spyro, as the unexpected hello startled him and Sparx forward, and into the portal.
Immediately, the SuperPortal sucked Spyro away, and as things normally do, exploded. A wave knocked the Proffessor, Bianca, and the dragoness back, as the arch sat there charred. Everyone there stared in shock, as the pink dragoness named Ember only apologized with "Oops..."

With spinning, colors, and all out confusion, Spyro crashed hard into some grass. He rolled forward with a hard hit on his head. Sparx the dragonfly landed on his snout, just as out of things as Spyro at the time.
"That's not what I expected..." said a feminine voice.
"Is that a little dragon?" asked another voice.
"Twilight, ah think your spell is awry, that is not a dragonslayer, it's a living dragon!" exclaimed a more southern voice.
"That's odd, It says right here in Starswirl's book that this should summon a powerful dragon slayer from another world, not a dragon..." said the first voice.
Spyro coughed and stood up, while his vision began to come back. His head hurt, and now he could make out multiple figures around him, "Alright, where am I this time?"
Upon his vision clearing, Spyro saw six ponies in front of him. The ponies in front of him looked at him in confusion, while Spyro was feeling a sense of deja vu from the first time he was in Avalar. The one in the center was a purple unicorn, of which was levitating a book with magic emanating from her horn. To her sides were a orange pony, a rainbow pegasus, a pink and yellow pegasus, a white and purple unicorn, and a all out pinkie pony.
"Alright, who are you?" asked a male voice.
"What?" asked Spyro, turning his head and causing Sparx to fall off his snout.
"Who are you?" asked the voice again, of which was a small purple dragon walking from behind the purple unicorn, "You're not a jerk like the other dragons we've met, are you?"
Spyro stared at the group for a second, as Sparx woke up and flew up beside him, "Uh, I'm Spyro..."
The ponies looked at each other unsurely, while the pink one responded "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
Spyro stared at the Pinkie, looked around, and stared at Pinkie again, "May I ask why I am here? Do you need me to fight someone, because I have been doing that a lot... Though first I'd like some explaining to be done..."
"So you're not like the other dragons?" asked the other purple, yet wingless dragon.
"I am like the dragons I know, I guess, but looking around here, yin's probably don't know of the dragon realms..." answered Spyro unsurely.
The purple unicorn trotted up closer to Spyro, eyeing him all over "Well, you seem docile enough. I'm Twilight Sparkle, and this is my assistant Spike."
Spyro looked at Spike, "Are you a lizard, or some strange dragon type thing? All of the other dragons I know have wings and horns..."
Spike quickly replied in a defensive manner, "I am dragon, obviously!"
Twilight spoke up again, "Over here is Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Pinkie who already introduced herself."
Twilight put out a hoof, and Spyro shook it back, still looking everything. The stench of awkwardness was still very strong.
"So, I'm going to ask again, why did you bring me here?" asked Spyro.
Twilight chuckled, turned to the others, whom shrugged, and turned back to Spyro.
"I was trying to summon, a... specialist, if you will, to deal with a problem we have..."
Spike suddenly interrupted "There is a black dragon that stole the Elements of Harmony, and we were looking for a dragon slayer from another land to kill it."
"Spike!" Said Twilight, glaring at him.
"What, I am just laying it on him flat!" Responded Spike a bit snarkily.
Spyro coughed, and asked "So, you do have dragons here then?"
Twilight turned back, "Yes, but we know little about them, other than that this black one is very malicious and seems to be plotting something big. Without the Elements of Harmony, there isn't far to much we can do."
Spyro looked a Sparx, who made a shrug gesture, and replied to Twilight, "Well, I am not malicious or evil, and what could be a better expert about dragons than an experienced dragon himself." Spyro finished with a bit of mischievous smirk.
Twilight smiled, it appeared this was actually working out, "So you can help us?"
"Sure, I've helped free a whole land before! This shouldn't be too hard... But I want to know if you can send me back." asked Spyro.
"Sure we can!" assured Twilight.
"Good, but first I think I need to rest, because my head hurts... and... I feel...... " Before he could finish his sentence Spyro suddenly felt light headed, and fell to the ground before blacking out.
