Gaius Septimus, a Roman Centurion, is a battle hardened veteran of the campaign against the Germanic tribes ordered by Emperor Marcus Aurelius. After five years of battle he comes across a mysterious old woman in a German village, who makes him an offer. She turns out to be a witch, and promptly sends him to a distant land with her arcane magic. How will he adapt to this strange new world?
