Chapter One - Peace Takes 'Time'View OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter One - Peace Takes 'Time'As Derpy walked away from the tent Vinyl and Dash were in, she looked for an empty one. She looked and looked and spotted one for the taking. Now, Derpy was assuming it to be somepony else's, so she got ready for when somepony else came in. She sat down in the tent and laid back. She was still saddened by the fact that Gunny was gone, and that he wasn't coming back. She pulled out her journal, the one she found in Gunny's pocket. The first page was something Gunny had written for Derpy, and never got to show her while he was alive. It read: " To: Derpy Hooves/Ditsy Doo From: John "Gunny" {Unknown Last Name} Dear Derpy, "I've always wondered what being in love with somepony felt like. Sometimes I would look at a mare and find them attractive, but I wouldn't say anything to them. Sometimes I would have lustful thoughts, and that would ruin every feeling of love I had for a particular mare. But you, you came to me, and that made me feel like something I never felt like before...Wanted... I never deserved you, you were too beautiful for me, and you never deserved me, I was never enough for you. Until the day I die, I will never have given you enough. I will always love you. I wish I could have married you, I really do. What I felt from you is something I would have never felt from anypony else. If I die at early age, you don't need to be sad over me, if you find another stallion, then go ahe---" From this point, the page was torn. A tear stain laid in the center of the letter, dried up and old. It was from when Ditsy first read the letter. When she had finished reading it again, she buried her face in the book and wept. She was devastated by the death of Gunny, there was no other stallion that would fit him. For months, Derpy was trying to figure out what the last words were, she stared and stared at the page, and couldn't figure out. Derpy got a pen out of a pen-holder in the book, and started writing. "Today, I found a raider camp. I saw one of the bullies from the orphanage, she wasn't an orphan, but she visited a lot. She had lots of friends there, unfortunately though, I wasn't one of them. She bullied me every day, until Dinky got me out. Since then I'd barely seen her. But now, I gave her a bloody nose to show how I felt. She didn't expect it, but I'm pretty sure she knew I was mad. I borrowed a tent, hopefully the person who owns it, won't hate me for it." Derpy closed her journal. She looked up and saw Time Turner peeking in. "What do you want?" Derpy asked angrily. "I'm sorry ma'am, I just heard crying...and I..." Time Turner said. He stopped and looked down. "I just wanted to help..." He started to walk out. "Wait!" Derpy said. Turner looked back at Derpy. "What?" He said in his Canterlot accent. "I'm sorry, I'm just...I'm really sad about something that happened." Derpy said. "You can have your tent back." "No no," Time Turner said. "it's fine, you can stay as long as you want." "Really?" Derpy questioned. "If it makes you feel better ma'am." Turner responded. "Please...call me Derpy." Derpy said again. "I had a...a really close friend a few months ago, and he said that to me and..." A tear came to Derpy's eye. She whipped it away and continued to speak. "he's...dead now..." Derpy's eyes started to water more, as more and more tears fell from them. Turner went up to give her a hug. "Well, I'm not trying to get you to replace him with me," he said. "but if you need anything, just ask me." "Why are you being so nice to me?" Derpy asked him. He looked at her. "Because there is something in you that I don't usually see in anypony nowadays." He said. "A care and compassion for others." he looked down at a watch on his foreleg. "Oh I have to go do something, um...if you'll excuse me, I'm sorry." "It's okay." Derpy said with a smile. Turner smiled back, and with that, he left. ~~~ Later that day, Derpy went up to Vinyl to ask about a tent to sleep in. Vinyl directed her to a couple of tents that were empty. Derpy chose the one closest to Turner's tent. Derpy thanked Vinyl for the tent and went in. When Derpy sat down in the tent. She thought about what had just happened between her and the stallion, whom she did not currently know the name of. He didn't introduce himself, but he thought it would be nice to give Derpy a hug. Derpy wondered why. Maybe it was just in his nature, or maybe it was just a good time, she didn't know. She wasn't sure about having a crush on him, given that Gunny had died and everything, she was still mourning his loss. She wanted to think that the paper was going to say that Gunny was allowing Derpy to find another stallion upon his death, but at the same time she was forced to assume that it could be the exact opposite. She read the letter in the first page over and over again. Once she had read it about thirteen times, her eyes watering, she put the book down and got ready to sleep. She heard hoofsteps approaching her tent. "Hey um...can I talk to you?" said a familiar voice. It was Rainbow Dash. "What do you want, cazzo?" Derpy asked. "I just uh...I wanted to..." Rainbow Dash replied, having trouble talking. "I wanted to...apologize for what I have done, I didn't take time to notice what you were on the inside, and I'm sorry." "I'm sure you are," Derpy said. "maybe you could write me a letter about it in the blood from your nose." "Okay..." Rainbow Dash said. Derpy heard slow hoofsteps walking away from the camp. "That wasn't so nice..." Derpy said to herself. She sat there for a moment, then shrugged. "Hmm, oh well."
Chapter Two - The Zed AnatomyView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Two - The Zed AnatomyDerpy woke up the next morning to a wet muddy ground. There was a path of gravel going in several places around the camp, but along that gravel was a ditch that lead near all of the tents, and some directly to them. In those ditches ran water. It had rained the other night, and some of the water had intruded into Derpy's tent. Derpy cursed under her breath and proceeded to walk out of the tent. She felt a couple of raindrops from the completely blanketed sky. It was winter time, so the rain was colder than usual. There were very small traces of snow mixed in with the puddles of rainwater, but it was quickly melting in the 46 degree weather. Ditsy inhaled the chilly winter air and walked up to the gravel path, occasionally getting her hooves wet from the muddy puddles in the little groups of grassy plants. She shook off her hind legs and entered into a large tent for eating. She saw a pile of brochures on the counter, so she decided to pick one up and read it. It stated: "BASIC/STARTER RULES OF THE TURNER/SCRATCH CAMP: Eat all meals matching the meal chart in the rule book Eat only three meals a day Fighting is NOT allowed, you can be thrown out of the camp for it. NEVER EVER EVER shout 'zeds' when joking, you will be executed or expelled. Always contribute to defending the camp, everypony is helpful. ~For More Rules, look at the rule book found in a special tray in the mail/books tent~" Derpy put down the brochure and looked around for a rule book. When she found one, she looked at the eating chart and all the eating rules. After that, she got herself something to eat. While she was eating, Time Turner sat down beside her with a meal of his own. Derpy had some toast and orange juice, Turner had hot tea and bread. "Hiya." Derpy said with a smile. "Hello." Turner replied. He soaked his bread in his tea and ate it. "Mmm thrrsh irsh drrishirrsh." he mumbled. "Wut." Derpy said with a blank look on her face. Turner quickly swallowed his food and looked at Derpy. "Ha, I said 'mmm this is delicious.'" he turned back to his food and laughed. Derpy gave a sarcastic chuckle. "So have you heard the news?" Turner asked. "What news..." Derpy responded. "The gathering tonight," Turner said. "they are talking about all of the new knowledge of the zombie virus! They know EVERYTHING, the different types of zeds, the way they all work, weaknesses, and also..." he stopped for a moment with a strange smile on his face. "A vaccine!" "Really?" Derpy asked. "Yes!" Time Turner responded, grabbed both of Derpy's arms and shook her as he continued with what he was saying. "That means the apocalypse is near it's end!" Derpy got her eyes back in order, somewhat, and responded, "Wow...you seem...really excited..." "Yes again!" Turner replied once more with a huge smile on his face. "That means no more blood, gore, and death!" "Yeah..." Derpy said in a lower tone. "I hope." "What do you mean?" Turner asked with a more, concerning tone than last time. "I mean...some parts of Equestria aren't nice, and the apocalypse makes it easier for the bad ponies to..." Derpy said, before stopping. "you know..." "Oh..." Turner replied. "I'm sorry ma'am..." "What's your name?" Derpy asked suddenly. "Oh um, I'm sorry I never introduced myself!" Turner replied. "My name is Time Turner, I work with all the, Timey-Wimey things in Ponyville, some ponies call me Doctor Hooves." "Yeah, my names Derpy Hooves, and I---" Derpy realized something. "Wait, is your last name Hooves?" "Yes..." Turner Responded. "Time Turner is my nickname, ponies who write my name in stories and fanfics may call me Turner for short." "What?" Derpy asked. "Oh sorry, I must have broken the fourth wall..." Turner said winking at you the reader. Back to reality now. "Anyway..." Derpy said. "Strangers call me Derpy Hooves, close friends call me Ditsy Doo, and the bullies called me Bubbles." "Oh well, nice to meet you, Ditsy." Time Turner said, shaking Derpy's hoof. "Are you implying that you are my close friend now?" Derpy asked. "Maybe." Turner said with a wink. Derpy chuckled and continued to eat her breakfast. ~~~ Throughout the day, some stallions would joke about the two being a 'cute couple,' or singing the casual so and so up in a tree blah blah blah, but they didn't mind it much. No pony got really offensive about it anyway, so there wasn't a real reason to get mad. Eventually things got to the point where Ditsy and Turner talked to each other all the time, and were with each other every time they were awake. They were best friends. But unfortunately, Derpy had to keep things from going farther until she found out about Gunny's final letter. She didn't want to deceive him. A part of him still existed within Derpy, she didn't want to feel any guilt. The meeting thing was about to start, it was in five minutes exactly, and it was about 6:25 PM. Derpy and Turner got in the meeting tent with a couple of researcher ponies, with Vinyl and Dash. Upon entering, Derpy glared at Rainbow Dash, Dash looked back with regret in her eyes. Derpy gave her a smile, then returned to the normal glare of hatred. This may have slightly confused Rainbow Dash, but that wasn't of Derpy's concern as of now. She waved at Vinyl, who waved back, and took her seat. The other ponies took a seat as well and got ready to start talking. "Alright everypony, listen up." Vinyl said. "This is our latest information on the Zeds." She nodded to Rainbow Dash. "Yes..." Rainbow Dash said. "our top researchers have been contributing ninety percent of their day, dedicating it to the knowledge of ending the apocalypse." "And Equestria...pfft." one anonymous stallion said, snickering. Vinyl took out a magnum and put it between his eyes. "I swear, if you say another word, I will make your death slow and painful." She said, cocking her magnum. "Y-yes...ma'am..." the stallion stuttered. "Continue." Vinyl stated, putting her magnum down in a holster she was wearing, and sitting down. "Anyway..." Rainbow Dash said, making it obvious in her tone, that she was pissed off. "the researchers, for an anonymous reason, have requested Carrot Top, our assassin, and L.R.S.K., to state the discoveries for them." Carrot Top stood up, and grabbed some papers, sorting them out. "Okay...uhm..." Carrot Top started a bit shaky. "Okay! Here is what the paper says:" she looked hard at the paper and put it down. "We have researched many types of zeds and so far we have classified the following: "Normal Zed, Hive-Minder, Flying Zed, Pouncer, Juggernaut, and Shredder. "Normal Zeds have a life-span without food for three days, with food, three years. They are only killed when the brain is disconnected from the body. "Flying Zeds are about the same, except the virus has taken it over to allow it to fly. "Pouncers are a type of advanced Earth-Pony-Infected-Mutation, or E.P.I.M. They have the ability to pounce an uninfected individual, UI, with great force, and devour them quickly. "Juggernauts are another type of E.P.I.M., that are filled with advanced muscular cells, giving them massive strength to burst through barriers, walls, throw cars, many impossible things that normal ponies cannot do. They have a longer life span, Normal Life Span NLSx3 "Shredders have an NLS, but have the ability to pounce, not as strong as a pouncer, but with sharp teeth, and claws replacing its hooves to shred its prey. "Hive-Minders have an infinite life span, fed or not. They are unicorns, that can create a hivemind to control a group of zeds to attack a certain spot. They are as advanced as our royal guard. The only way to kill them, unlike all other zeds, is to completely destroy the mind. They can grow back whatever is missing, unless their brain is COMPLETELY eradicated." Carrot Top put down the papers and nodded to Vinyl. "Any questions?" she asked. Derpy raised her hoof. "Yes Derpy?" Vinyl said. "Derpy?" said one stallion. "I don't believe it!" said another, this sparked a huge conversation between everypony. "HEY SHUT UP YOU PEOPLE, I'M ANSWERING ONE QUESTION!" Vinyl shouted, banging her hoof on the table. That didn't appear to do anything. Derpy took out her Desert Eagle and fired it into the air. Everypony stopped. "Did she not make herself clear enough for you?" she asked. "Will I have to drive a hole in your head for it to get in there?!" "Well said Derpy..." Vinyl said. "Now, as I was saying, what was your question?" "What about the alicorns? What happens when they get infected?" Derpy asked. "Well, as far as I know, they don't." Vinyl replied. "A magic, destroys their brain so that the virus can't get them, it's within prophecy, very complex, you would have to ask Princess Twilight, wherever the buck she is." "Mmkay." Derpy said sitting back down. "Any other questions?" Vinyl asked. Nopony raised their hand. "Well in that case," Vinyl said again. "You are dismissed." ~~~ Everypony gave their goodnights and went to sleep in their tents. Derpy and Turner walked back to their tents. Turner noticed that somehow, Ditsy had managed to be moved over to the tent beside him, but he didn't mention it in fear that she would move back somehow. "Goodnight, Doctor." Derpy said waving. "Goodnight, Ditsy!" Turner said waving and going in his tent. Derpy sighed, and went into her own.
Chapter Three - Taking a WalkView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Three - Taking a WalkDerpy awoke the next morning, everypony was eating breakfast. She wasn't so hungry, so she decided to add another journal entry. Ditsy took out a pen and began to write another entry. "Today, feels colder than most days. In real time, it is warmer, warmest to be exact...but...something is just making my body shiver. I know I have feelings for that guy...for Time Turner...but I think it may make my entire relationship with Gunny completely vain. I don't know what to do. He's cute, he's funny, and he seems like the perfect stallion, but...I don't want to feel guilty because of it, because of Gunny. I still love him but, I don't know how he would have felt if I loved somepony else. I am almost to the point I can't mentally handle all the thoughts my mind is trying to process, I might have well become a zed myself. I want to think Gunny would want me to have another stallion if he died, I want to think that he would want somepony else to love me, and protect me, and help me throughout the rest of my dreadful life. But at the same time, I wonder if he meant to tell me the opposite. I wish that part of the page would have been intact, I don't know what to do. A part of me tells me to go for it, and that surely Gunny would want me to be happy...But the other part tells me that I would be a bucking traitor that didn't give a crap about the entire relationship. But one other part of me says...That I should go on a walk and think it through. Come to think of it, it tells me that I should invite Time Turner also...I don't know how this is going to go...but I hope it goes well." With that Derpy closed her journal. She opened up the tent and walked out. Derpy looked around for Time Turner. She saw him and walked up to him. For some odd reason, she involuntarily wrapped her arms around him, giving him a big hug. She quickly let go and jumped back. "I'm...I'm sorry I don't know why I just---" Derpy stuttered. "No it's okay, Ditsy..." Turner said with a smile. "I kind of needed a hug anyway." "Uhm...do you mind if we go on a walk together?" Derpy said. "I need your help with something, and I want it to be in private." "Oh..." Turner said, with a confused face. "It's okay, you don't..." Derpy said with a sad face. "you don't have to..." "No, I'll go it's just that..." Turner replied. He thought for a moment on what to say. "I just wasn't expecting you to ask me that, because I was going to ask you." "Oh...wow, really?" Derpy asked with a smile on her face. "Yes!" Turner replied again with a smile also. He reached down to hold Ditsy's hoof. "You don't mind do you?" he asked. "I don't want one of the zeds to get you." "No, no!" Derpy said. "Not at all!" "Well in that case," Turner continued. "off we go!" ~~~ They got everything in order, some guns, ammo, radio, and food, and then went out of the camp. They were teased by some of the guards, but Turner laughed it off and would respond with, "At least I have somepony!" Derpy on the other hand, gave them a stare that immediately shut them up, though she would laugh at Turners comebacks. When they walked out farther from the camp, they found a little empty area surrounded by trees. Turner set up a spot to sit for the both of them, and they sat down. "So Ditsy..." Turner started. "What do you need?" "Uhm..." Derpy said. She scooted closer to Turner. "You know that guy I was talking about the other day?" "Yes, I remember." Turner replied. "Well..."Derpy added. "his name was Gunny, and he was my 'special somepony.'" "Oh..." Turner said, remembering Ditsy's mentioning of Gunny's death. "I'm sorry." "Well he...wrote me this letter." Derpy continued, handing him her journal, opened to the first page. Turner read it. "It appears to be...torn apart." he said, flipping the page back and forth. "Yes, that's why I need you," Ditsy said again. "I don't know if he's telling me to get another stallion, or stay alone." "Why do you want to know exactly?" Turner asked. "If you don't mind me asking, that is." "Because I love you." Derpy said. "And I don't want to feel bad not knowing what Gunny left me." Turner was shocked by this statement. "W-well...uhm..." Turner stuttered. "Wh-what can I...can I do?" "See if you can find anything on that page." Derpy said. "Oh I know!" Turner exclaimed. He looked around for a writing utensil, and spotted one Ditsy was holding. "Ditsy, may I borrow your pen?" Turner asked. "Sure..." Ditsy responded, handing him the pen. Turner grabbed the pen and gently scratched it across the page. "A little trick I learned from Sherlock Hooves." Turner said. "Just lightly put it over the next page, to see the indention of the writing, and then you can find what it says!" "Well, what does it say?" Derpy asked. She looked at the page and reread it aloud. "If I die at early age, you don't need to be sad over me, if you find another stallion, then go ahe---ad and marry another one, one that makes you happy, I love you too much to restrict you. ~Gunny" Derpy slowly looked up at Turner with a smile. "You know what this means, right?" she asked. "Not...Necessarily..." Turner replied. "It means I can be in a relationship with somepony and not feel bad about it!" Derpy exclaimed. She went up to Turner and hugged him. "I guess who that somepony is?" "Uhm....." Turner thought for a moment, if he said himself he would sound selfish but--- Turner stopped thinking as Derpy brought her lips to his. Nice and slowly, but without warning. When Derpy let back, Turner had a big smile on his face. "I think it was me..." Turner said. "Yes, silly, it was you." Derpy responded laughing at him.
Part 2 - Prologue - Conflict Upon EntranceView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingPart 2 - Prologue - Conflict Upon EntranceBack at the camp, things weren't going so well. Vinyl had assigned some of the ponies to keep charge of the ARS-ZL. Acronym is pronounced "arzel," it stood for Advanced Radar System - Zed Locator. It could detect hordes, special infected, and hiveminders. The thing was, it broke. The stallions in charge didn't know how (except one), but they knew there was a hiveminder horde approaching, that's the last thing they saw. "What?!" Vinyl screamed at one of the stallions. She smacked his jaw with the back of her magnum, sending him, a tooth, and some blood flying to the other side of the tent. The stallion crashed to the hard, rocky ground, scraping skin and fur off his foreleg. He felt the area of impact on his jaw, which then was a swollen-up spot on his face with a cut where the dull tip of the magnum penetrated his skin. "What do you mean it broke?!" "It was an accident!" The stallion said, scooting back to the corner of the tent. "I picked it up looking at the cords, and it malfunctioned!" "I told you NOT to play with THE BUCKING EQUIPMENT!" Vinyl shouted again, pounding him once more with her magnum. The stallion covered his face in fear that she would eventually kill him. He could barely feel anything in his jaw now, the last blow knocking three more teeth out, followed by a stream of blood. The little cut on the bruise he had was now a huge tear in his face, streaming out blood like a waterfall. The stallion laid on the ground weeping, trying to keep the blood in his lower jaw. Vinyl pulled the magnum to his head and almost fired, until Turner walked in with Ditsy. "Vinyl! Hold your fire!" he shouted. Vinyl put her weapon down. "If you insist." she replied with hate in her voice. "Why are you trying to kill him?" Turner asked. "He broke the Ars-zl!" Vinyl shouted. "The last thing we saw was a hiveminder with a horde of zed following it!!!" Turner looked at the stallion. "I have another idea." Turner said. "Let's punish him with the possible fate he gave us." Vinyl looked at him confusedly. "That means lets use him as bait." "Oh," Vinyl replied. "that's a great idea!" She grabbed the stallion and brought him to his feet. She motioned a couple of stallions over. "Throw him out." She ordered. The stallions responded with a 'yes ma'am,' and grabbed the stallion. "NO PLEASE!!!" he shouted. "I BEG YOU PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE!!!" The two stallions threw him out of the camp and closed the gates. "NO!!" The stallion screamed again. "THEY'RE COMING!!! HELP ME!!!" He started to swear excessively as the zeds got closer. The first on jumped on him and dug it's teeth into the stallions face. The stallion screamed as his eye was torn apart by the monsters vicious mouth. Two other zeds jumped on him, tearing his two forelegs off, leaving him as a two legged, standing corpse. The zeds tore the stallion to pieces, as others tried to intrude the camp. "ZEDS!!!" One of the stallions shouted, trotting to the weapons tent. Others followed, and before long, everypony had a weapon and were firing at the zeds. The horde burst into the camp, ready to claim it's next victim. Derpy grabbed a fresh, sharp machete, Time Turner got a 12 gauge shotgun, Vinyl retrieved her magnum from it's holster while also grabbing a combat knife. Carrot Top stood by them with her Predator Bow, along with Rainbow Dash, wielding a huge sniper rifle. "Kill'em all!" Vinyl shouted firing her magnum at a zed's face.
Chapter Four - The Voices Grow LouderView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Four - The Voices Grow LouderAfter the zed onslaught was fought off, a total of 5 stallions, and 2 mares were killed. Respects were given, they were buried [outside the camp], and the day continued on as if nothing happened. That night, everypony went to sleep, and just like old times, Vinyl stayed up later than all the others. Maybe a few minutes, an hour, maybe a few hours. She would sneak in a late night snack, sometimes marshmallows, maybe some crackers, but not enough to put everypony in danger. Vinyl often was lost in thought, trapped inside her mind, if you will. After the long span of time, she was still haunted by the voices that she had once heard. All those ponies lives were destroyed. Every time Vinyl would get used to it, the voices changed. Sometimes the dialogues would be reversed, the voices would change pitch and tone, change what they were saying, but worst of all they got louder. Sometimes Vinyl would have to be awoken by somepony else because of her face being buried in the ground. She would often...involuntarily...try to smother herself. Her mind could barely handle it, and it started to take control upon her dreaming. When will this stop?! she often thought. Sometimes she would bang her head on the cement wall. Sometimes she would scream from the excruciating pain. Very rarely would she start trying to tear herself apart. She had small, feint scars all over her forelegs, ranging from knife incisions to teeth marks. You killed us... The voices would say. tHiS iS yOuR fAuLt All this seemed to happen only at night time. Given that it was Luna's punishment this made plenty of sense. All of the other nights were the usual banging of the head, and moaning from pain, but this night was different. Derpy woke up in the middle of the night to hear Vinyl weeping. She knew nothing of the prior situation, so she decided to come out of her tent and talk to her. Big mistake. She walked over to Vinyl, but before engaging, she hid back and watched what she was doing. It was strange. Vinyl was crying. But she stopped and revealed her teeth. They were jagged and sharp. She threw her head into her foreleg and tore a large chunk of flesh off of it. The most frightening part was, she continued to chew it and eat it. Derpy's eyes dilated as she watched the mare consume herself, and drink the blood. Her body finally stopped withstanding it, and was depleting itself. Vinyl, or what was left of her, licked her lips and started to twitch. Her joints were bending in ways, that they weren't supposed to, her flesh tore apart in many places. Her coat started to mold, and discoloration began. Her eyes, and pupils became more red than what they already were, and what wasn't red was bloodshot. Derpy didn't know what to think of this...How was it possible? How in Equestria could this be explained in anyway?! She was some sort of cannibalistic zed. But in the day time, it didn't affect her. Little did Derpy know, that during the onslaught, she was bitten, and somehow her body fought it. The thing was, her body couldn't withstand it, and it took in the deoxyribonucleic acid of the virus, and mutated it. Suddenly, the mutated Vinyl flung it's head backwards to see Derpy. She...It...growled and started running towards Derpy. "Oh crap Vinyl NO!" She shouted taking out her machete. Derpy flung the machete down to meet the things foreleg. The huge, sharp knife sliced through the corpses skin, creating a straight incision. The blood drenched the dry soil on the ground, as it spilled out of where Vinyl's foreleg was supposed to be. Vinyl let out a deafening screech as her foreleg grew back. Her horn started to glow, and that's when Derpy realized that she had the capability of a hiveminder. Derpy also knew something else about hiveminders. They could be fought. So with all her heart, and with all her soul...And with all her might, as Derpy was being lifted up she resisted the hivemind and clenched both her hooves. A beam of energy connected the two, from Vinyl's horn to Derpy's forehead. Derpy pulled her hooves back and threw them forward, throwing Vinyl back. By this time, other ponies started waking up to the sound of fighting. Three other stallions saw some of what was happening and alerted everypony else. At the moment that everypony else was out of their tents watching the fight, Derpy and Vinyl were in hoof and hoof combat. They punched, grabbed, threw, and beat each other, both showing no signs of being tired, weak, or in pain. "Vinyl?!" Turner shouted. He grabbed a knife and threw it at the corpse. It penetrated the eye of Vinyl. She slowly looked at Turner with a glare of hatred on her face. The corpse slowly pulled the knife out of it's eye and grasped it firmly. With the twitch of it's wrist, it flung the knife into Turner's chest. He fell back in pain as blood streamed from his stomach. Derpy saw this, and got pissed...really, really, really, pissed. She kicked the corpse off of her with full force and grabbed her machete. She ran and used a table as a boost to jump off of, and came down shouting at the top of her lungs. She aimed right between the eyes of Vinyl and swung her knife. The next thing everypony saw was a huge explosion of magic material, and a huge splash of viscera and blood. Vinyl's horn was split in half by the blade, and the blade absorbed a bunch of the magic. Vinyl's head was split in half, her brain was visible, and her horn became dust. Derpy looked at her knew enchanted knife, and then remember Turner. She threw the knife down and ran to him. Blood was running down Turner's chest and stomach. He lied on the ground, in a pool of it. "No...No Turner please don't die on me, not like Gunny!" Derpy begged. She went down and to give him a kiss. Derpy remembered this position, from when Gunny died. A tear fell from her eye as she began to kiss Turner much more passionately. When she thought it was a good time to pull back, her mind was changed when she tried to pull back, and Turner leaned forward off the ground, despite the pain he was in. She went down again and continued to kiss him longer. When the two finally stopped, they looked into each other's eyes. They didn't even have to say anything to each other, it was like telepathic communication. They knew what they were going to say. "I love you" Nopony else knew what to make of this incident. One of their camp leaders just turned into a hideous monster, and now the other and some random girl are making out?! "I think we should leave the two to themselves," One stallion suggested. "I need some sleep anyway." "Yeah, I agree with...that guy..." Another one said. Everypony else went back to sleep, except one medic, who had a first aid kit in hand. "I don't mean to interrupt..." The medic said. "but I think I need to patch him up." "That's okay doc," Derpy said. "whatever makes him feel better." "You know, Ditsy..." Time Turner said weakly. "one of the things about you that are most attractive are your eyes, they seem to draw ponies to do." "Yep." The doctor said. Derpy and Turner glared at him angrily. "Bad time?" He asked. "Sorry, I'll just continue with this." "Really..?" Derpy asked Turner. "I always thought they looked stupid." "Oh no Ditsy," Turner said again. "they make you special." "Hooves..." Derpy said. "Yes Ditsy?" Turner responded. "I love you..." "I love you too, Ditsy"
Chapter Five - The Big ProblemView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Five - The Big ProblemSo, Time Turner was patched up that night. The medic helped Ditsy escort Turner to his tent. Once that was done, the doctor left. Derpy sat with Turner throughout the night. Every time Turner tried to get up to get something, Derpy would go do it for him. She gave him water, gave him snacks, and most of all gave him comfort. Turner appreciated this, but he felt bad for making her do everything. But Derpy made sure to remind him, that it was her choice to help him, so he shouldn't feel bad because she liked helping him. Everything was over by about 10:52 PM. Derpy stayed up with Turner, in his tent, for about two more hours until she finally fell asleep. In his tent. Turner knew she didn't mean anything of it, given that she had just fought some monster, and stayed up two extra hours. She was probably restless. Turner looked down and noticed Ditsy smiling. Her forelegs wrapped around him, and her head leaning his shoulder. He smiled and gave her a kiss on the forehead. She was actually asleep this time. Eventually, after a few more minutes, Turner fell asleep too. ~~~ Turner woke up to see his foreleg wrapped around and empty space. He got up and looked around confusedly. The he looked behind him to see Derpy with a creepy smile on her face. "Boo!" She shouted. This, nonetheless, sent Turner flying to the outside the tent and into the gravel. A bunch of ponies, just coming out of their tents, stared at him. Derpy came out laughing. "You're still scared of me?" She asked. All the other poies, seeing Derpy come out of the same tent as Turner just came out of, were extremely freaked out and confused. "Puttana..." one muttered. "What did you call me?!" Derpy asked, looking at him angrily. "Um...It was a complement." The stallion said again. "You called me a whore you asina!" Derpy shouted back. She ran up to him and grabbed him by the throat. The tossed him over to the side, crashing into the wall. His foreleg was broken, so bad that the bone inside tore out of the skin. The stallion screamed in pain as he held his arm in place. "Who else wants to give me a 'complement?'" Derpy asked. Everypony stepped back. "That's what I thought." She returned to Time Turner. "Hehe, sorry." She said. "You had to see my mean side." "That was actually quite amusing..." Turner said. "Ha, you should see me when I'm REALLY mad." Derpy replied. "I think I'll pass..." Turner said again. "Hehe...okay." Derpy said with a smile. She gave him a quick kiss. "You want something to eat?" "Know that I think of it..." Turner replied. "I am actually pretty hungry..." "Well then, come on!" Derpy said holding her hoof out to pick him up. Turner grabbed her hoof and pulled himself up. When they got to the eating area, they looked at the food chart to see what they would get, then started eating when they gathered their food. ~~~ Meanwhile, Carrot Top and Rainbow Dash were looking at the broken radar system. "So how the buck are we going to fix this?" Rainbow Dash asked. She looked at Carrot Top's bow. "Maybe that bow of your's may help somehow." "Well," Carrot Top said. "I worked on something, do you mind if I tried it?" "No problem," Rainbow Dash replied. "You could try nuking this thing to make it work, there isn't much use to it. I don't see why anypony would care." "Alright." Carrot Top said again. She loaded her bow with a modified electrical arrow and pulled the arrow back. "Stand back." She warned. Dash stepped a few feet away as Carrot Top released the arrow and it shot into the radar. The thing seemed to reprogram itself and even transform into a larger version of itself. The range was wider, and the signal was stronger. Rainbow Dash noticed something. A huge red dot, with tons surrounding it. "What the buck is that...." Rainbow Dash said. Carrot Top leaned closer to the machine. "That's Everfree..." Carrot Top said. She looked closer at the red dot, and zooming in on it. "And that's a central mind-carrier." "I thought we were fighting zombies, not aliens!" Rainbow Dash said. "That's what I thought too, but from what I can tell, these Mind-carriers are organic." Carrot Top looked closely at the radar, zooming in more on the group of red dots. "The small dots are Hiveminders, the medium are Mind-Carriers, and the big one is..." "Is...what?" Rainbow asked. "That's the Hive-Mind. That's the end of the apocalypse, if it lies in ruins." Carrot Top finished. "Prepare everypony in the camp, we are going on one final raid." "Affirmative." Rainbow Dash replied. She went outside and got everypony's attention. Derpy looked up at Rainbow Dash as she walked to a small uplifted area for announcements. "Everyone," Dash started. "we have found the Hivemind." Everypony looked around and questioned each other confusedly. "We must get all the weapons, ammo, and supplies we can, everypony is now required to train themselves to be elite." "What the bucking hay are we doing?!" One of the stallions shouted to her. "We are destroying the Hivemind!" She shouted. "All of us!" "I ain't gonna risk my life for crap like this!" Another stallion shouted. "Then we will use you like we did the pony who broke the radar." Time Turner said calmly. The other stallion remembered the other guy being torn apart, and sat down in is seat. "Anypony else disagree?" Nopony raised their hoof. "Good, then let's get to work.
Chapter Six - PreparationView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Six - PreparationJust seconds after the big announcement, ponies were scattered around everywhere. Looking for weapons, ammunition, first aid, and anything else they could find. And they also had to find what they were best at, what weapons fit them. Most didn't know, they only took refuge in the camp for safety. There was a lot of trial and error with looking at the weapons, and at the same time they had to conserve all ammo, or as much as they could. Derpy and Time Turner got up to get what they needed. Derpy gave Turner a kiss on the cheek, and they parted ways. Derpy ran to her tent and grabbed her journal and began to write. "So this is it, at last, we destroy the Hivemind, and end the apocalypse. They suspect three mind carriers, and a whole bunch of hiveminders. Turner and I have grown a lot closer, since I startled him with that kiss, heh, I'm not sure if he knows this but I knew that when I stayed with him in that tent, I would eventually end up sleeping with him. I wouldn't necessarily call myself a whore, it may be bad, but it's an apocalypse, at least I didn't get too touchy-feely with him like did Gunny. Well now that I think of it, the apocalypse may have changed me a bit, or maybe I just grew up some more." Derpy put down her journal, and her pen inside it. She grabbed her weapons and got ready to meet back with Turner. ~~~ Meanwhile, Turner was gathering his weapons and stuff as well. He had managed to get a camera and snap a picture of Derpy, not in a perverted way, but just in case he happened to loose her in this battle. He hated this thought, but he knew it had to happen some day. He just hoped it wasn't soon. Something in him kept whispering back 'It's coming...It is coming...' He would try to push it out of his head, but most of the time the voice persisted. He didn't know if it actually meant what it was saying, of just something haunting him. Turner walked out of the weapons tent with his weapons strapped on, holstered, and sheathed. He climbed up a rock, one that hung over the camp. He stood on the top and looked out to everypony else, giving them all a salute, and a sign of wishing them good luck. He noticed in the corner of his eye a grey mare with a yellow mane trotting towards him. He knew it was Ditsy, so he jumped of the rock and came to meet her face to face. "I need to talk to you." Ditsy said, grabbing Turners hoof. ~~~ She led him in the direction of an area surrounded by trees. Nopony else was there, just them, and that's just how Derpy wanted it. "This may be the last time I see you like this, face to face, and alone." Derpy said. She held Turners hoof tightly as her eyes started to water a little bit. "There is one thing I want you to know, you have helped me a lot, I almost decided to kill myself. Now we are fixing to destroy an entire Hivemind. I didn't think I could handle it, but because of you, I can still rely on some form of happiness." Ditsy looked straight into Turners eyes. "Now, for one last time," she said. "I'll need one last kiss..." She drew closer to Turner. "...make it count..." She whispered. Before Turner could comprehend what she had just requested, Ditsy had already pressed her lips against his. Knowing that this may have been the last time that he would see her, Turner kissed back passionately. One thing was for sure, he certainly made it count. ~~~ After a couple of hours, Rainbow Dash stood in front of the camp and presented another speech. "The time has come," she stated. "we will leave camp tomorrow, at 5:30 AM. We are going to put you all in groups, remember to stay with your group leader. Each group will have a particular purpose." Dash stopped speaking for a moment and took a deep breath. "I won't assure any one of us will come out alive, nor will I assure that we will stop the Hivemind..." she looked up said stated proudly, "but I can sure as heck tell you we are gonna die trying!" With that, everypony cheered. Later, groups were assigned, Turner and Derpy were allowed to be in the same group, though, being leaders, they should have been leading a separate group each. Dashie knew how it must have felt being separated from the one you love, so she was nice enough to keep them together. That night, Derpy asked if she could stay with Turner a little later and talk to him about something. Turner, as normal, accepted this and let her in his tent. "So what is it?" Turner asked. Derpy looked at him oddly. "I don't know how to ask this," Derpy said. "and I don't want to look like a bad pony..." "What is it Ditsy?" Turner asked. "You can tell me, I won't mind." Turner, though, had no idea where this was going. "Well..." Ditsy started, she cringed slightly and swallowed, following that, a deep breath and her scratching her neck. "it's the apocalypse and...there is a big chance of one or both of us dying, and I just wanted to know if, since this may be the last time I see you, if you wanted to...perhaps uh..." Derpy couldn't finish out the sentence, because she knew she would feel like a pathetic, lustful whore. "Ditsy," Turner said. "just say it." Derpy barely mustered up the courage to make her final request. "I want to have sex!" she said, squeezing both her eyes shut and covering her head from the shame she now felt. "Wh...what?" Turner asked confusedly. He wasn't sure if he heard her right. "You heard me..." Ditsy replied. "I know I'm just a stupid, lustful, arrogant---" Turner put his hoof on her lips. "I understand your request." he replied softly. "Don't feel bad, I myself have thought about it, but I didn't think you would have a good response, so I kept quiet." "Does that mean..." Derpy said with a grin spreading across her face. "Sort of, yes." Turner said. "Keep in mind we are in a tent with other ponies around. Don't be too loud." Derpy almost jumped with joy, all the shame and guilt had seemed to strangely disappear. Turner wasn't all that sure, but he seemed to be able to put it aside. Before he could process his thoughts further, Derpy leaned forward and gave him a kiss, while sliding under him to let him 'do his work' as she would have put it. The two quickly, but quietly continued in their 'sexual activity,' throughout about three hours of that night. ~~~
Part 3 - Prologue - Almost ThereView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingPart 3 - Prologue - Almost ThereDitsy woke up at about 5:46 in the morning. Turner was still asleep on top of her. Derpy wrapped her forelegs around him, and hugged him tightly. She slowly brought her left hoof down Turners back, until it met his flank. Satisfied with the location, Derpy closed her eyes again and smiled. She could feel something on her stomach, she knew what it was, and she also felt something sticky running down her side. Ditsy knew what that was too. Before guilt could overcome her, she slowly slid from beneath Turner and cleaned herself. She knew why Turner did what he did, and it was because of how stupid it would be to have gotten a pony pregnant, in a zombie apocalypse. Once Derpy was done with that, she laid back down with Turner, giving him a kiss on the forehead, and wrapping one hind leg around him. She closed her eyes and rested for the remaining hour she had before having to get up. After about fifty minutes, Derpy decided to get up to avoid any suspicion by the other ponies that she and Turner had just done the hanky-panky last night. By this time, Turner was awake, so she told him her plans and he agreed. Derpy went back to her tent to put in another journal entry. She wrote: "So last night was probably the best of my life, may have hurt but it felt good. Ya know, most ponies wouldn't suspect me to be like this, but I have my reasons. The apocalypse, and my terrible life, I was exposed to a lot. I grew up sexually, much faster than anypony else, nopony noticed it though. Every time they could make fun of me, after being sad, I would always remember, that I was 'bigger' and 'better' than most of them. In that sense, my maturity exceeded that of three years past my age. I thought I was lucky. Since then I was craving sex like a desert-bound stallion craves water. It only got worse and worse, until last night. Good thing was, I don't have to worry about giving birth! Or at least not until next time, if we both survive the apocalypse. It seems though that I can't love him in a true love way, while thinking of him lustfully. Last night, all I was focused on was between his legs. It felt good by the way, but that's aside the point. "This is the longest journal entry in a while, probably because I had more time to do it. But today, we are going to finally do it! End the apocalypse, and destroy the Hivemind! Heh, each time I write 'Hivemind,' I think more and more that we are fighting extraterrestrial creatures, rather than zeds. Anyway, my machete is a lot better, maybe I can satisfy my craving for seeing zed-blood thrown everywhere!" With that, Derpy closed her journal, and put away her pen. She looked down on her waist and saw a small wet spot. She then noticed some of Turner was still with her, 'Oh, how cute!' she thought. She wiped it off with her hoof, the lustful part of her said to have a taste, but she thought that was just stupid, and why would she do that? So she got a paper towel, wiped it off, and burnt it. The wake up call was given, everypony exited their tents one by one. They all ate breakfast, and received their instructions. They got in their groups, gathered instructions, and got ready to attack the zeds. It was going to be a long day.
Chapter Seven - March ForwardsView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Seven - March ForwardsIt was coming close to the time of attack. Everypony gathered in their groups, directions were given, and they all got ready to leave the cozy camp. Most knew they were signing their own death warrants, but then again, would their be any to sign? It was a question only the least focused thought about. Which in that case was only two or three. Eventually, they grasped reality. Rainbow Dash gave the order to march, and everypony started forward. It was now 6:45 AM. The dry, cold morning air, accompanied by the frozen dew, cooled the bodies of all the marching ponies. Sweat ran down them like water down a steady mountain stream. They all were worried and stressed about the coming events. Their knifes firmly grasped in their hooves, weapon triggers ready, fully briefed. They were prepared physically, but not mentally. That was something that had to conquer. The ponies walked for what seemed like hours. At 7:27 AM, ponies were getting tired, leaders got them to suck it up. Eventually, everypony was tired from walking. They forced themselves to get over it. Some lagged back for a few seconds, trying to rest. They were eventually pushed or pulled forwards. "So, what happens when we get there, Dash?" Carrot Top asked, looking over at Rainbow Dash with her bow in hand. "We do what we were told," Dashie responded, staring at the ground and walking forward."attack." Carrot studied Dash's face. Her expression showed the feeling of frustration, and anger. Carrot grew concerned. "Uh...Dash...somethin' wrong??" Carrot Top asked. Dash looked at Carrot top with the same expression of pure hatred. "No..." Dash responded once more, with a grim tone. "I'm fine...just keep walking." With that statement, Rainbow started to accelerate forward. Signaling her group to follow up. Carrot Top dismissed Dashie's perhaps unintentional attitude, and kept walking. ~~~ Time passed, ponies were growing tired. It was now 9:46 AM. Ponies were starting to drop down from restlessness. When enough ponies started to plead for a resting time, Dash and Carrot Top agreed and sat themselves. Derpy sat herself down beside Turner. She leaned her head over on Turner's shoulder. She put her hoof over his. Derpy was holding Turner's hoof, but he wasn't holding hers. His face showed sadness. Derpy leaned down. "Are you okay?" She asked. She gave him a kiss and allowed him to speak. "It's....It's nothing..." Turner muttered. Derpy knew he was lying. "Turner, what's wrong?" Derpy asked again. Turner gave in and told her. "I've been feeling bad about last night for some reason..." Turner said. "I don't think I did the right thing..." "It's okay Turner, you didn't do anything wrong." Derpy said, giving him another kiss. "You only made me happy. It wasn't your idea." "What the buck are you two talking about...?" Another stallion asked. Derpy threw her hoof forward to meet his face. The stallion shot back to the ground, half stunned from the impact. "Screw off." Derpy stated softly. The stallion got back to his hooves and trotted back to where he came from. "I don't know Derpy..." Turner said slowly. "I think...we may have both done something wrong." "Turner," Derpy started. "it would have only been wrong if you stayed in and---" "No!" Turner shouted. "I don't...want to remember." Derpy stopped for a moment, stunned by his action. "Wh-what do you mean..?" She asked. "I mean I wish that had never happened..." Turner said. "We committed a crime!" Derpy felt a her eyes welling up with tears. "Y...you didn't commit a cr...crime..." She stuttered. "You're right..." Turner said, giving Derpy some hope. What ounces of happiness left in Derpy though, were soon demolished when Turner finished his sentence. "you did...it was your idea. I was just stupid enough to go through with it." Derpy stood back shocked. "What happened to you?" She asked, with a tear falling from her eye. "You want to know what happened to me?!" Turner shouted. "You!" "Wh-what...?" Derpy asked, her face was streaming with tears. "And if I'm lucky, you'll die today." Turner said, an evil grin spread across his face. Something wasn't right about him, and it seemed to spread to the other ponies. Derpy didn't take this into knowledge though. She slapped him and knocked him down on the ground, almost unconscious. "You little ass..." She said. "I thought there was something special about you." She kicked him in the stomach, rolling him over on his back. She put her hind leg on his stomach. "Maybe I could kill you now." She started to push down, Turner's eyes were bulging. Derpy almost killed him, when Carrot Top pulled her back. "Derpy...stop!" She exclaimed. "It's not him...something is wrong with this place. The hivemind is influencing hostility among everypony. It's a bit contagious." She nodded at Derpy, and walked away. Derpy looked down at Turner. Blood was streaming from his mouth and nose. Derpy helped him up. Turner spat blood on the ground, and wiped his mouth. "Sorry..." Derpy said. "I thought it was you." She leaned in to kiss him. "Derpy..." Turner said. "Yes?" Derpy responded. "I'm bleeding, are you sure you want to do this?" Turner asked. "What difference does it make?" Derpy asked. She kissed him anyway. She tasted blood, but just dismissed it. She wasn't worried about blood, just as long as she didn't drink it, it was fine with her. ~~~ It was now 11:40 AM, and the camp inhabitants had arrived to the Hivemind. Zeds everywhere. "Now is the time." Dash stated. "Now is the time to show the Hivemind who's in charge in Equestria." With that, Dash gave the order... "Attack"
EpilogueView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingEpilogue"And that's how Equestria was made!" Pinkie Pie shouted. "Pinkie, you didn't finish my story!" I said back to Pinkie. "I was tired." She replied happily, with a smile on her face. I looked at you. "Well, I guess I hope you enjoyed this story, and the fourth wall breaking here..." "To bad this whole thing hasn't happened." Pinkie said. "Yeah, there was no apocalypse at all, everypony is still alive!" I exclaim. "Yep!" Pinkie agreed. "No apocalypse at all..." "...Not yet..."
Part 1 - Prologue - Welcome to HellView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingPart 1 - Prologue - Welcome to HellVinyl ran to the entrance of the camp, and as she was told, there was another survivor walking towards the camp with a torn, dirty backpack, a bloody knife, rusty gun, and an empty pistol. The survivor was a mare. She had a yellow mane and tail, her cutiemark was a bunch of bubbles. She had a scar running across her left eye. Her eyes were yellow, and crossed. Her coat was a cool gray color. "Who are you?!" Vinyl shouted. The mare gave no response. Two stallions who were recently introduced to the camp, got onto two manual machine guns. "Hold your fire!" Vinyl shouted again. The two stallions nodded, but kept their weapons ready. The mare got closer to the camp. "I don't like to repeat myself..." Vinyl said. "Who are you?!" The mare looked up and said, "Derpy, Derpy Hooves." "Holy crap..." Vinyl said. She motioned the two stallions over. "she's a friendly, take her in." ~~~ "So who did you bring in this time Vinyl?" Rainbow Dash asked. "You won't believe it..." Vinyl responded motioning Derpy to come in. The mare walked in, laying down her weapons. She looked up and grinned at Dash, who had her mouth wide open. "D-Derpy..??" she stuttered. She backed into the wall of the tent, nearly loosing balance. "I just don't know..." Derpy said. "what went wrong..." "How..?!" Dash asked again. She rubbed her eyes, she was astonished that Derpy actually survived this long. "Why are you so surprised..?" Vinyl asked. "I mean, I was surprised but you took it to a whole new level!" "But she's..." Dash stuttered. "she's just a...a---" "A worthless, harmless, helpless, nopony?" Derpy said. Her expression turned darker, as did her voice. "Just a lonely, lifeless, orphaned retard?" Derpy walked up to Dash and got in her face. "That all changed two-hundred and fifty-one days ago...I'm not what you think I am, I never was. Just because the incident hit me and not you because you were living in Cloudsdale, and we couldn't afford it, doesn't mean what you thought about me!" Derpy drew her hoof back and threw it forth to meet Dash's nose. Dash fell to the ground from the brutal impact. By now, Vinyl's eyes were wide. "What's going on in here?" one of the stallions asked. Derpy shoved him on the ground, and walked out of the tent. The stallion got up and brushed himself off. "What's wrong with her?" he asked again. "To have a professional opinion..." Vinyl replied. "I think she's pissed off."
Chapter Eight - Destroying the HivemindView OnlineA Derpy Apocalypse: Dead Mare WalkingChapter Eight - Destroying the HivemindWith that everypony released a deafening battle cry, with a hail fire of bullets. Nine millimeters punctured zeds as if they were merely fabric. Fifty calibers tore through them like a Rocket Propelled Grenade. When all of the zeds figured out what was happening, they fought back, assembling hordes upon hordes of bloodthirsty corpses. After the bullets paused, due to the ponies reloading, and the zeds gave out their battle cry. "There's more than we thought!" one stallion shouted. A zed ran behind him and threw it's teeth into his neck. The stallion screamed as the zed tore off a large of flesh from him. The stallion fell to the ground in pain, just to be tackled by a pouncer. It extended a sharp bone on each foreleg, and sliced the stallion. He was screaming with his mouth wide open, the pouncer grew tired of this and shoved the claw into his mouth, tearing the cheeks on his face, and taking his head off from his lower jaw. The pouncer stabbed the corpse, and raised it in the air. It then tore the corpse in half, spraying blood everywhere. It threw the corpse at on of the ponies, who skillfully dodged, and fired a 50. Cal. M82 Barret round at the pouncer, destroying it's head completely. Others fought and fought. Ponies were being torn limb from limb, and eaten, while zeds were being shredded with numerous bullets. At this point, nopony knew who was winning. "Grenade!" Somepony shouted, throwing a pipe bomb at a Mind-Carrier. The bomb exploded, sending the Mind-Carrier to pieces. Strangely, every zed near that area fell down. More zeds where coming from the other two Mind-Carriers. The ponies split up to face them separately. Squad-01 Alpha, Squad-02 Beta, obvious names, but at least they could distinguish the difference. "S-02-B do you copy?" Rainbow Dash asked over the radio. "Copy that, Dashie." Turner said. "Turner! Maintain radio protocol!" Rainbow shouted before putting down her radio. Turner sighed and lead his group to the east side of the Hivemind. The ponies there fired snipers, and took out any hive-minder zeds, and planted C4 explosives around the Mind Carrier. "S-01-A," Turner said in the radio. "we have the explosives planted, repeat, we have the explosives planted, do you copy?" No answer. "S-01-A!" He shouted again. No answer. "Hello?" He said. Just then the radio turned on from the other side, the sound of screaming and gunfire with loud static in the background. He heard something else, something demonic coming from the radio. "Squad-01 Alpha...is no more." They were killed. With rage, Turner blew the explosives, sending yet another Mind-Carrier to pieces. ~~~ They did the same with the other Mind-Carrier. Turner and Derpy blew up the Hivemind, the end.
