Chapters Celestia and Luna were sitting in the throne room of the Canerlot castle, both with concerning looks on their faces. " He'll be here soon sister", Luna said in a serious tone.
" Yes, very soon", Celestia quickly responded with.
" Do you...think we stand a chance", Luna asked, this time with more fear into her voice. Celestia then sighed.
" I...I don't know, we've never faced a threat like this before", after that they both sighed, trying to collect their thoughts on what to do. This went on for at least a minute until Celestia broke the silence.
" But we need to try, what leaders would we be if we just let him win, we will prevail, or die trying". Luna nodded with agreement, followed by asking,
" And the plan is still the same", Luna asked.
" We will keep him distracted long enough for Twilight and her friends to prepare the elements, when the time is right, we'll launch the signal, that will instruct Twilight and her friends to arrive, once they're here we'll use the elements to seal him in the deepest depths of Tartarus", Celestia said.
All of a sudden they heard explosions coming from outside the castle, followed by screams of the citizens, and loud orders coming from a military officer. The two princesses looked at each other and nodded, they got off there thrones, and with some magic, covered themselves in battle armor. Then the door to the throne room opened, but to their surprise it wasn't who they expected, it was a guard and he was terrified.
" Pri...Pri...Princesses, he's here, Ozore, he-", the gaurds sentence was cut off by a sound that could only be identified as scissors cutting through paper. And with that, the guard fell to the ground, followed by his head sliding clean off his neck, followed by a giant puddle of blood. Then, like he appeared out of thin air, stood the monster the Princesses were expecting. This...pony, if you even want to call it that, was just as tall as Celestia, its fur was a dark grey, its mane and tail was black as night, it had dragon like wings and a horn similar to Chrysalis's horn, it's eyes were completely black, except for the iris and pupil which were both white, it had cracks around its eyes and on its hooves, its jaws were aligned with teeth that were razor sharp, but to top it all off, it had a strange looking orb sticking out of its chest. The monster just stood there with a sinister smile, almost looking proud at what it did to the guard. Then in a deep hollow voice, the monster spoke.
" Hello (evil chuckle)...your majesty". Ozore wasn't a pony, he was a monster that took the form of a pony. Throughout the years of conflict that Equestria went through,(from Discord to Tirek) a ton of evil energy was released, this evil energy soon began to come together to form its own sentient living being. This abomination that was created is Ozore. One night, Ozore used his magic to invade the dreams of both Celestia and Luna, he informed them of his origins and what he planned to do with Equestria. He first wanted to eliminate the rulers throughout the land, even other villains who planned on taking Equestria for themselves he needed out of his way. He told them that he already disposed of Chrysalis and even finished off Tirek after he was sent to Tartarus the second time. The second thing he wanted was to turn the entire continent of Equestria into his own personal puppet. Third he wanted to wage war on the other continents, so that he could devour he souls of those who will die during the war. The fourth and final goal, is to use the new power he receives to turn the entire planet into his own apocalyptic playground. After their dream, the two Princesses informed Cadence and Twilight about the situation, and demanded that they prepare for the attack. Ozore's first target of attack was Canterlot, and that brings us up to date.
" You finally show yourself, Ozore", Celestia said.
" Indeed, and I must say it's such an honor, to finally meet you in the flesh", Ozore replied.
" Well the feeling isn't mutual", Luna quickly said.
" Oh do you have to be so rude, you know if you'd just be polite and surrender now, I might just let you live, key word might , who knows, you might actually prove to be useful slaves", Ozore said with a evil chuckle and smirk.
" WE WOULD RATHER DIE THAN SURRENDER TO YOU", Luna yelled.
Celestia then responded with, " My sister is right, we will not give up Equestria so easily, we will stand and fight, and if that means dying in the progress, then so be it". Ozore just rolled his eyes and sighed.
" I had a feeling you two would be difficult, but I was hoping you'd say this, I really want the full satisfaction of tearing your wings apart, very well if it's a fight you want, then a fight you shall get".
And with that Ozore then surrounded himself with a dark aura and said, " Go ahead, make the first move". Without any word, the two Princesses charged towards Ozore, ready for battle. A cold chill ran down Twilight Sparkle's spine. " Twilight, are you ok", Rarity asked.
" Yeah I'm fine, it's just...something feels off, we need get to the princesses now".
" But Twilight, they didn't send the signal yet", Fluttershy said,
" I know that, I'm just getting a bad feeling that something bad happened to the Princesses".
" Then what are we doing here talking about it, let's go", Rainbow Dash insisted. Twilight nodded, and with that, she used her magic to teleport her and her friends outside the city of Canterlot. Little did they know that they would experience the most horrifying thing they've ever seen.
Twilight and her friends were prepared with the Elements of Harmony and charging towards the Canterlot castle. As they galloped through the city, they were horrified at the sight, buildings destroyed, dead bodies, their ears were filled with the sound of screams of the citizens. "I do sure hope the Princesses are ok", Apple Jack said in worry,
" Don't worry AJ, it's two against one, I bet they already beat that freak, and all this trouble to get the elements was for nothing, right Twilight", Rainbow Dash said, waiting for Twilight. Everyone was waiting for a response, but none came, Twilight's mind was filled with too many thoughts, she wanted to believe that the Princesses were ok, but at the same time she was terrified at the thought of what Ozore did to them. Well that question would soon be answered. As they went through the castle, the scenery in it was even more horrifying than out side. Blood was every where, dozens of soldiers were massacred, many disemboweled, sliced in half, decapitated, one was even reduced to nothing but a skeleton. But then there was the throne room, and they were not prepared for what was inside. When they opened the door to the throne room, they screamed in terror,
"PRINCESSES", the mane six screamed. Celestia and Luna were lying on the ground, motionless, there was gashes, slashes, and bruises, their armor destroyed, they even noticed a crack on Lunas horn. But the thing that was most disturbing, was their wings, they weren't on their backs, all that was left were bloody bone stumps. Then there was a laugh, and when they looked to see who made that sound, they saw him. Ozore was siting on Celestia's throne, with a sinister smile on his face, and mounted above him, stained in blood, were the Princesses' wings.
" Well, Well, Well, look what we have here, Princess Twilight Sparkle, well I hope you and your friends can prove to be a better challenge than these two", Ozore chuckled as he looked down at Celestia and Luna.
" I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU DID TO THE PRINCESSES", Rainbow Dash yelled.
" Dash, NO", Twilight screamed. But it was too late, Dash had already dashed towards Ozore, but was suddenly stopped in her place by some magic. And then he used his magic and slammed Dash into a pillar, making Dash scream in pain. The rest of the girls gathered around her with horrified looks.
"ohmygoshdashieareyouokyoulooklikeyourinsomuchpain", Pinkie Pie said, frantically.
" My wing...I think it's broken", the girls gasp in shock, and looked at Ozore with pure anger.
" I must say she is quiet the feisty one, I've always found those the most...attractive ", Ozore said, followed by his long serpent tongue licking round his lips.
"Ugh, you disgusting, revolting, creature", Rarity said in disgust, she was about to say more until she was cut off by Ozore's insane laughter.
" You can say as many compliments as you wish, it won't make me show mercy". Rarity was completely speechless, and didn't know how to respond.
" That's enough", Twilight said, " We will no longer be intimidated by you, girls get the elements ready". The other girls nodded and got into position.
" Oh this should be fun", Ozore said along with a chuckle.
" This ends now Ozore, say goodbye", Twilight said. With no more words left, the elements glowed, and shot that rainbow laser straight at Ozore, then there was a huge explosion. There was scilence, until Twilight spoke, " I think we got him", that victory was short lived, when they heard that same evil laugh. When the smoke cleared, the girls saw Ozore standing in the same position when they shot the laser, unscathed. Then a small ball of dark magic formed from his horn.
" Goodbye" , Ozore said before launching the magic straight at the girls. After the smoked cleared Ozore noticed that none of the girls were injured mostly because there was a figure standing in front of the girls. A certain draconequus named Discord seemed to have taken the blast to protect the girls. He looked badly injured and on the verge of death.
" Di...Discord", Twilight said in shock.
" D...Don't...think...I..did this for you...I did it...for Fluttershy". Discord slowly looked back and smiled at Fluttershy who was in total shock at what she saw, " T...Take care...my friend", Discord then collapsed to the ground, dead.
" DISCORD", Fluttershy screamed, she then went over to Discord's body and started crying.
" Oh what a pity, I was hoping to have more fun with this one, but after this, I'm convinced it would have been disappointing", Ozore said with a scoff. It was quiet for a moment because of the shock the girls were in after seeing Discord be taken down.
Twilight then spoke," What do you want".
" I'm sorry what", Ozore said in confusion.
" What will it take for you to leave Equestria alone", Ozore gave a moment of thought, then spoke.
" Oh I have an idea". Ozore then turned around and with some magic, created a hologram of himself, this hologram was sent to every town and city of Equestria. " Ladies and Gentlecolts, I am Ozore, your new ruler, the princesses have fallen, the elements have failed, and the lord of chaos himself has been disposed of, so now that they're out of the way, I can begin my plan. I will turn Equestria into my own Apocalyptic playground, turning everyone of you into slaves, and using said slaves to fight in destructive wars, and I will get violent to reach my goal. However, I am very generous, if you wish to free yourselves of my rule, I will be hosting a...competition of sorts. This competition involves anyone who is willing to challenge me in one on one combat, the goal...is to kill me. Anyone is allowed to compete, but if you lose, I have the right to kill you as well. One more thing, there's a time limit, if no one is able to kill me in one year, the competition is over, and I will begin my full conquest. So you best give your A-game, and to all those who will not be participating, stay loyal, and I might show some mercy, key word might . Farewell my worthless maggots". Everyone all over Equestria, was dead silent, no one could fathom what was going to happen to them. Until somepony from Manehattan shouted.
"WER'RE FUCKED"!
It has been exactly 3 months since Ozore had taken over Canterlot, now he holds the entire land of Equestria at the base of his hooves. He has conquered every city and town, even the Crystal Empire was no match for his power. The Empire now lies buried in ice and snow, and Princess Cadence has been taken prisoner. As for the competition that Ozore had set up, many brave ponies had tried to defeat Ozore, but were no match and ultimately died. Even soldiers like Flash Sentry and Twilight's brother Shining Armor had tried their best but still lost their lives in the fight. So far it seems like there is no one who has the power to defeat Ozore. But there is a house that was hidden away from Ozore's sights, a house that well " housed" two stallions, one was Blazer, a stallion that about a year ago, retired from his role as a high ranking guard at Canterlot, so he can spend more time with his son Fire Flare after Flare's mother passed away. The second stallion, Blazer's son, is Fire Flare. Flare had been training for most his life under many teachers to become a royal guard for the Princesses of Canterlot. That is until Ozore came and took over Canterlot, so that dream flushed down the toilet. One day early in the morning, Blazer was about to leave the house, in his battle armor along with a spear, until he was stopped by his son's voice.
" Dad, where are you going?", Flare said in a serious tone.
" Flare, you know where I'm going", Blazer said.
" Yeah, and I'm not going to let you go", Flare shot back.
" Son please, just-", Blazer was about to plead, until he was cut off.
" NO, I'm not going to let you do this to yourself, it's suicide", Flare cried out. " Do you not know what Ozore is capable of, or has your hunger for battle finally blinded you"?
Blazer sighed," Flare, you and I both know what kind of threat Ozore is".
" And you're still going through with this, what are you trying to prove anyway", Flare asked.
Blazer gave Flare a stern look, " I'm not trying to prove anything, he needs to be stopped".
" And you think you're the one qualified to do it, he defeated the most powerful beings in Equestria, much more powerful than you. Do really think that you stand a chance", Flare asked.
" It needs to be done", Blazer said.
" Then let me come too", Flare pleaded.
" No, you're not ready for something like this", Blazer said.
" Yes I am, I've trained for years under Equestria's best teachers, let me fight along side you", Flare pleaded.
" I'm not going to let my own son die", Blazer said.
Flare then snapped, " AND I'M NOT GOING TO LET ANOTHER PARENT OF MINE DIE"!
Blazer was taken back by this, Flare rarely spoke about his mother ever since her death. Flare then transitioned from yelling, to sobbing .
" Please...don't do this...I...I don't want to be alone", Flare began crying.
Letting out a tear of his own, Blazer went and hugged his son.
" I love you Son", Blazer said tearing up as well
" I...I love you too Dad", Flare said still crying.
Flare cried in his Father's arms for about a minute, until Blazer broke the silence.
" Take care of yourself Flare".
Flare was taken back by this and was about to speak, until he felt extremely tired and passed out. Blazer had used a sleeping spell on Flare and put him into a deep sleep. Blazer then laid his son on the couch, Blazer then slowly walked out of the house, closed and locked the door. He looked back at the house one last time, and gave a small smile. And with that he used his magic to teleport himself straight to the Canterlot Castle.
When Blazer reached the Canterlot Castle, he never expected to see what was inside the throne room. When he opened the doors to the throne room, he was horrified at the sight. Dozens of bodies from previous challengers lying dead everywhere, blood stained the walls, floor, and pillars. Then he saw nine mares all chained up near the throne, Celestia, Luna, Cadence, Twilight Sparkle, and the rest of the mane six. And sitting on the throne was the one and only Ozore.
" Princesses, I...I thought you were-", Blazer said in a shocked voice, he was soon cut off by Ozore.
" Dead, well I was going to kill them, but I found out they were more useful than I thought, they make great servants, you know the gist, cooking, cleaning, and well...pleasurable purposes ". Ozore gave small, but sinister chuckle.
Blazer was shocked at what here just heard. Ozore then used his magic and pulled Rainbow Dash towards him.
" I'm particularly fond with this one, I've always found the feisty ones the most...attractive ", Ozore stuck out his serpent tongue, and made a long lick along Dash's cheek.
But Rainbow Dash didn't retaliate or make any insulting remarks, she just stayed there, whimpering as Ozore did this to her. Blazer actually took a couple steps back, completely taken back at what he was seeing before him.
" You...sick, demented, bastard", Blazer said in disgust.
" Flattery won't save your life", Ozore said with a louder chuckle.
" ENOUGH", Blazer yelled, then he pulled out his spear," I am your challenger, now FIGHT ME".
Ozore just laughed," Very well, it's been boring all day, I've been dying to have some more action".
Ozore then summoned a black and dark purple sword out of thin air. With no more words, the two began to fight. They each countered each others attacks, each trying to gain the advantage. The two then locked weapons together.
" You have an excellent fighting style, combining both offence and defense in one swift movement, quite impressive, however...it won't protect you for too long", Ozore then laughed maliciously.
And without warning, Ozore began attacking Blazer with a barrage of attacks from every direction, it started overwhelming Blazer, until Blazer's spear broke. And in one swift move, Ozore impaled Blazer with his sword through the stomach. Blazer let out the loudest scream he'd ever made. A lot of blood was pouring out of the wound, and even more when Ozore removed the sword from the wound. Blazer lied there on the ground, wrapping his hooves around his stomach, and every time he let a sound of pain, blood escaped his mouth. Ozore just laughed and said.
" Now let's see how long your body will last until you break".
Flare woke up from his deep sleep, although still a bit drowsy, he was still able to compose himself. He examined the area and realized that he was still in his house. Flare then realized that his dad wasn't anywhere to be found, Flare then remembered what happened not so long ago and came to the conclusion where his dad was.
In a angry yet worried voice Flare said, " Dammit all".
And using his magic, Flare teleported himself straight to Canterlot Castle.
Flare appeared from teleportation right in front of the door to the throne room. When he opened those doors, he was horrified at the sight. Blazer was laying in front of him, beaten, bruised, and bloodied, Flare also noticed the stab wound in Blazer's stomach, and Flare also notice that both of Blazer's hind legs were broken. Blazer then tried to get himself up, using his front legs as support, but he was then pinned back to the ground by Ozore's hoof. Blazer let out a short grunt of pain from being pinned, that sound made Ozore let out a small chuckle. Ozore then caught eye of Flare, Flare had an obvious look of fear spread across his face.
" And who might this be", Ozore asked. Blazer looked up to see what was going on, and his own look of fear went across his face.
" NO FLARE, GO NOW, DON'T BE A FOOL LIKE I WAS", Blazer pleaded. But Flare wasn't moving, mostly because he was frozen in fear. Ozore took a moment to examine both of them, and his look of confusion soon turned into a wide grin.
" Ah...a son", Ozore said followed by a chuckle.
" RUN", Blazer yelled.
" If I were you boy, I would listen to daddy dearest here, who knows, I might just spare your life", Ozore said. But once again, Flare was too scared to move. Soon though Flare composed himself, got into a fighting stance, and gave Ozore a stern look.
" JUST RUN FLARE, DO WHAT I SAY NOW", Blazer pleaded again. But Flare wasn't budging.
" Sorry Dad, but this needs to be done", Flare said. Blazer then passed out from exhaustion. Flare took a step closer to Ozore. " I'm going to make you pay for what you did to him", Ozore then chuckled.
" Oh please, it's not my fault that he wanted to challenge me, he could have stayed home and live the rest...well an extent of his miserable life in peace, but nooooo, he had to play the hero card, a little lesson on being a hero boy, you always get into fights you just can't win". Flare's stern look transformed into pure rage when he spoke.
" This has nothing to do about being a hero, it's payback for what you did to my father, and I'm the one who's going to take you down", Flare then charged towards Ozore, but then was stopped in his tracks by Ozore's magic.
" Ah teenagers, so full of energy, emotions, and idiocy", Ozore said with a laugh. And then Ozore used his magic and slammed Flare against all wall, then a pillar, then the ceiling, and one last slam back to the floor. Flare then let out a loud grunt of pain, and when he tried to regain his breath, he coughed up blood. " Oh, and did I forget get to mention that they're really fragile", Ozore said followed by a chuckle. Flare slowly got back up, and was even more furious then before.
" I'LL SHOW YOU FRIGILE", Flare yelled, and then Flare unleashed a powerful fire blast from his horn point blank at Ozore. However Ozore was yet again unscathed, and just laughed. This left Flare in total shock, that blast was his most powerful attack.
" My turn", Ozore said, Ozore then unleashed his own blast of magic, only this time, it left Flare in critical condition. Flare was once again lifted by Ozore's magic, Ozore then began delivering a barrage of punches cross Flare's face and stomach. At his point even blinking his eyes was painful for Flare. " Any last words before you die", Ozore asked, he was about to laugh, until Flare spat blood on Ozore's face.
" Burn in Tartarus dirt bag", Flare said, Ozore just sighed and rolled his eyes, he began to charge his final attack, until something wrapped around Ozore's neck.
" Hey, let me go you maggot", Ozore said in frustration. This distraction caused Ozore to lose focus on Flare, letting him go in the process. When Flare went to see what had happened, he saw Blazer using his last remaining strength to hold back Ozore, and surprisingly doing well.
" I won't let you lay another hoof on my son, this ends now", Blazer said, he then begun to glow a deep orange. Flare recognized this move, it's a self destruct move that Blazer said should only be used as a last resort.
" DAD PLEASE DON'T DO THIS", Flare pleaded.
" Yeah Dad, don't do it", Ozore said in a mocking tone. Blazer still wasn't budging, he even squeezed harder then before.
Blazer gave one last look at Flare, let out a tear and said, " I love you son", Blazer then closed his eyes and glowed even brighter, then Blazer exploded. Flare had managed to protect himself and the nine mares as well via force field, when the smoked cleared, flare didn't see Blazer anymore, but he did see Ozore, standing in the same position as before, with a wide grin on his face.
" Impressive, he managed to burn my back a little, kudos to him", Ozore said, and his back began to self heal.
" NOOOOOO", Flare cried out as he fell to the floor crying.
" Hey if it makes you feel any better, you'll die soon, so that means you can reunite with daddy once more", Ozre said, followed by some laughter.
" Why...why are you doing this", Flare said while crying. Ozore, gave it a moment of thought until he spoke again.
" The question isn't why, it's why not, I mean when you have this kind of power, who is going to stop you in the first place. Not the Princesses, not Discord, not the elements, not you, and certainly not your father".
" Then, why did you-", Flare asked before getting cut off by Ozore.
" Set up the whole competition thing, it was only a means to entertain myself. I knew that no one would ever be able to match my power, it just brings me so much satisfaction to see the looks on those ponies faces when their hopes fade away, along with their lives."
" So no matter how hard we try, it will all be in vain", Flare asked.
" Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner", Ozore said followed by laughter. Flare began to feel cold, like his very soul was pulled out of him. Time somehow began to move significantly slower for Flare as his mind was filling with thought. Was with true, was all this struggle to win for nothing, was Flare going to just accept his death knowing that in the end, all of it was pointless. It seemed that way for a short moment, until Flare'd cold feeling started to transform. This time the feeling was a fiery rage, that only grew hotter with every passing second. A feeling that he hadn't felt in a long time, a feeling that gave him the desire to hurt, the desire to destroy, the desire to burn . Flare then stood up, with hot steam escaping his body, this obviously spiked the attention of Ozore.
" NOOOOOOOO", Flare screamed, as a huge crater formed beneath him.
" What is this", Ozore thought to himself.
" I won't accept it, someone will defeat you, some one will kill you. And if it's not going to be my father, the Princesses, or even Discord, then...then...IT'S GOING TO BE MEEEEEEEE", Flare shouted. Then a huge fire aura erupted around Flare's body, this sudden burst of power made Ozore move back a couple steps. Flames erupted from Flare's eyes, as well as his hooves. Flare's mane and tail turned a plain white, with the exception of some small red streaks. Flare then began to walk towards Ozore, and with every step he took, the hoof prints began melting through the floor. And then in a deep and some what demonic voice, Flare spoke. " OZORE...I...I...I WILL MAKE YOU SUFFER"!
There was a full minute of silence while everyone was trying to comprehend what had just happened. Flare had just obtained this new form and a major power up, even Ozore showed some form of fear during the big transformation. But soon enough that fear was replaced by his smug look.
" Impressive light show you put on, but if you honestly think that little power up is going to enough to take me down, then you're more foolish then your fa-", Ozore was cut off by a strong punch to the muzzle from Flare. The punch was so strong that it even knocked Ozore back enough that he broke through the throne chair and hit his back against the wall. Before Ozore could regain his footing, a more powerful punch with large flames surrounding the hoof hit Ozore straight in the face again and back into the wall, making giant cracks all over the wall. The girls let out a loud gasp at what they just saw. Ozore then let out a lound yell of anger and let out a magic repulse to send Flare back, Flare made a back flip and landed back on his hooves. Ozore let out a growl of frustration, until he felt something wet run down his muzzle. Ozore put his hoof against his muzzle, when he looked back at his hoof he saw blood, that's when he realized that his nose was bleeding, and quite a good amount of blood at that.
Ozore was left in shock, no one had ever left this much damage on him in these 3 months, he had finally met his challenge, but he wasn't happy about it, he was furious. Ozore wasn't going to let Flare beat him, and let all the work he did to conquer Equestria go to waste. Ozore fired a power dark blast from his horn at Flare, Flare countered by firing a beam of fire from his horn. The two blasts collided and then the beam struggle began, Flare then added more power to his beam, and the fire overwhelmed the dark blast and hit Ozore. The amount of force made Ozore hit the wall again, only this time he went through the wall and outside the Canterlot castle. Ozore was flying back until he used his wings to sustain himself in the air, he took a look at his body and found numerous burn wounds around himself. Fortunately for Ozore his healing factor started to kick in and those wounds were as good as gone. But this didn't calm down Ozore's anger, he now was determined to end Flare's life as brutally as possible. Flare then used his magic to levitate himself up to the air where Ozore was at. The two said no words, charged at each other, and clashed.
They dashed every where across the city of Canterlot, flying at top speeds while simultaneously clashing with each other. Ozore managed to land a hit on Flare, but Flare quickly landed a punch in Ozore's gut. The two then punched each other at the same time, and then locked heads with each other. Then the two bolted out of Canterlot and began fighting all over Equestria, each dealing a more powerful blow then the last. Then Flare used his magic and teleported the two of them some where else. They ended up somewhere in a grass plain, but they didn't pay attention to where they were at, they still were battling. Flare managed to slam Ozore in the ground, but Ozore then grabbed Flare and did the same thing. Flare then managed to kick Ozore off him, then the two landed on the ground opposite of each other. Ozore then launched a swarm of dark blasts towards Flare, Flare tried to dodge and counter them, but he eventually got hit multiple times. Flare then launched a fire blast into the air, there was an explosion and then thousands of fire balls came crashing down towards Ozore. And just like Flare, Ozore tried his best to dodge and counter them, but to no avail.
The two of them both had some pretty bad injuries, but again for Ozore it was something he could easily heal. But Ozore noticed that Flare began to heal as well, and in short time, Flare was all healed up. Ozore made a frustrating growl and summoned a sword out of no where. Flare then used his magic and did the same, then the two clashed once more. To Ozore, this sword fight felt similar to when he fought Blazer, only this time, his opponent was actually having him keep his guard up. The two were sword fighting for about 10 minutes, each were gaining a better advantage then before. At first it seemed as though Ozore was going to give Flare the slip, until out of no where, Flare was overwhelming Ozore with powerful attacks. Then Flare gave one last slash and broke Ozore's sword, and in one swift strike, Flare impaled Ozore through the abdomen. Ozore coughed up some blood and looked into Flare's eyes, he saw the anger and the intent of murder in Flare's eyes, and for some reason, it put fear into Ozore. But Flare wasn't done, he turned the sword sideways(that was still in the stomach of Ozore), and in one powerful move, Flare sliced Ozore clean in half.
Ozore was lying there on the ground, sliced clean in half, a bunch blood pouring out the open wound. However he was still alive, but he was screaming at the top of his lungs from all the pain, and he was coughing up more blood then a blood bank can count. Ozore's adrenaline kept him from relizing his ingury, so he tried getting himself up, but to no avail. Flare just chuckled at Ozore's struggle.
" Give up already Ozore, you lost", Flare said with a smirk. Ozore then started struggling to speak, but managed to yell something out.
" YOU THINK THIS IS OVER", Ozore yelled, then Ozore began yelling in pain, and in a couple of seconds Ozore regrew his lower half, putting that much effort to regrow his lower half put even more pain on Ozore, he let out a loud scream, and started to regain his breath. Ozore then stood back up and gave Flare a look of pure anger, but then Ozore grinned and chuckled. " Very impressive boy, you know through out this entire fight, I never caught your name", Ozore said.
" The name's Flare", Flare said.
" Well Flare, I want to congratulate you, no one and I can't stress this enough, no one has ever pushed me this far, so I tip my hat to you, well...if I had a hat that is". Ozore said, Flare gave a noticeable smirk, but Ozore's tone turned serious really fast. " However, you do realize that I can't let you live right", Ozore asked.
" Oh I know, but in case you didn't know, a couple seconds ago you were sliced in two, so I don't think you're going to be anything more than a nuisance", Flare said still retaining his smirk. Ozore started laughing.
" Oh but see Flare, once I show off my true power, I'll be much more than a nuisance", Ozore said. The proud smirk that was on Flare's smug face faded away, what did Ozore mean by show off his true power.
" W-What", Flare asked. Ozore chuckled.
" Do you know what this it", Ozore asked, he then tapped on the weird orb that was sticking out of his chest. Flare didn't say anything, which made Ozore chuckle even more. " Of course you don't know, it's funny, the whole time I was here in Equestria, no one had ever asked me what this thing was on my chest, well I think you should be the first one to know. You see, if I break this particular item, my true power will be released, and I will become your worst nightmare, think of it as a limit breaker if you will", Ozore said.
" I-I don't understand", Flare said his fear rising high.
" Well, then maybe you need a visual to know what I'm talking about", Ozore said. Ozore then used his magic to grab onto the orb, he twisted it and some blood trickled down his chest, and with a loud yell of pain, he pulled the orb out of his chest, a bunch of blood spilled out of the hole that was revealed after the orb was pulled out. Ozore then laughed maliciously and smashed the orb onto the ground, then amidst the glass, dark energy erupted from the ground a engulfed Ozore. Ozore was going through some sort of transformation while coted in this energy, and during the whole thing, Ozore was laughing, but at the same time, Flare heard a hint of pain coming from Ozore. Then the same darkness that was surrounding Ozore created a large explosion that leveled the entire plain that they were on. Fortunately for Flare, he created a shield that blocked the blast from hitting him. When the smoked cleared, Flare turned pale as he saw the figure standing in front of him. It was Ozore, but with some new noticeable features, first off Ozore's dark grey turned a light grey, dark veins were bulging on numerous parts of the body, Ozore's teeth looked even more rotten then before, the hole that was left from the orb being removed was replaced by a large scar, and the membrane that was on the wings looked like they were torn apart. Ozore's pitch black eyes turned plain white, you couldn't even see the pupils, but the most noticeable thing were the thorns or spikes that were sticking out all over the body, legs, and head.
" What-what are you", Flare asked more scared than before.
" I'm a Devil", Ozore said, with his voice sounding...psychotic. Flare then rushed towards Ozore and started giving out punches and kicks, but they didn't seem to be doing anything. Ozore then chuckled,and then he reached out his right hoof and a spike grew out of it, he gave a quick slash and made a serious cut across Flare's left eye. Flare let out a loud scream of pain, but Ozore wasn't done, he grew another spike out of his left hoof. Ozore let out a barrage of slashes at Flare, dozens of cuts and slashes surrounded Flare's body. Ozore used his backflip to send Flare up into the air, Flare didn't have enough time to regain himself, because Ozore quickly flew behind Flare and kicked him hard back to the ground. Flare struggled to get back up. Ozore then laughed. " And now you die", Ozore said, Ozore then used his magic and ripped off a spike that was on his back. He aimed the sharp end straight at Flare and launched it. Flare looked behind him and tried to counter what was about to hit him, but it was to late. The spike impaled Flare right below the rib cage and pinned Flare to the ground. Flare let out a painful scream, he tried to pull the spike out but it was no use.
Ozore then let out the most malicious laugh he had ever let out, " You should feel honored Flare, like I said before no one has ever pushed me to use this form", Ozore said. Flare at this point could only cough up blood, Ozore then sighed, " It's a shame though, I really had an entertaining day with you, but sadly every fun day has to come to a close, but don't worry, I'll remember this day from here on out", Ozore then laughed, " Kaboom" , Ozore said. Then the spike that was in Flare started to glow a dark purple, Flare was fighting with every thing he had to remove the spike, but he was too weak to move it. Then the spike glowed even brighter, and then it exploded point blank at Flare. This explosion was larger then the one when Ozore finished transforming. Flare was too weak to even let out a scream, he just let the pain engulf him as the explosion did so as well. Then Flare's vision turned blurry, finally...his eyes closed on their own.
Flare was floating somewhere, some dark abyss. But he didn't care where he was at the moment, all he was thinking about, was how he failed.
" This is it huh, Ozore won, I lost, and now I'm dying. Dammit why am I such a idiot, my urge to make him suffer was what kept him alive, Ozore was right, I am a fool like my father", Flare said to himself. He then heard a mysterious voice behind him.
" That's not true Flare", said the mysterious voice. Flare turned around and saw a weird creature behind him.
" Who are you", Flare asked
" I'm Discord, you know Lord of Chaos and Disharmony", Discord said with a smirk.
" I don't understand, what's going on", Flare asked.
" We're here to show you why you can't give up", Discord said.
" What do you mean by we", Flare asked. Discord pointed at something behind Flare, Flare looked behind him, what he saw shocked him. He saw spirits, spirits of the ponies who died trying to stand up against Ozore, there were hundreds of them. One of the spirits came out of the crowd, it was Twilight's brother Shining Armor.
" Flare, your father wasn't a fool, he along with all of us didn't fight Ozore because we wanted to be a hero, we fought him because it was the right thing to do, to show him that we won't submit to any villain, to show that we won't give up, and you can't give up either", Shining Armor said.
" But what am I supposed to do, he's more powerful then ever, I couldn't do any damage, it's pointless now, giving up is the most reasonable thing to do at this point", Flare said.
" Did your father give up when he fought Ozore, no he didn't, even if he knew the inevitable, he still fought for his life as well as yours. Now you have to fight for your life, as well as the ones all over Equestria, Flare you are the last hope Equestria has left", Shining Armor said.
" I'm the only one left", Flare said.
" Flare I know this is a lot of weight on your shoulders but you can't stop now, you're only a fool if you quit", Discord said.
" But what am I going to do to beat him", Flare asked.
" Your power comes from when you're angry, well unleash all that anger, think about what Ozore did, think about all the lives he's hurt, and put that bastard in his place", Discord said.
" Do you guys really think I can pull this off", Flare asked.
" We all know you can do this", Shining Armor said.
" WE BEALIVE IN YOU", everyone shouted. Flare felt a knew confidence grow inside him.
" Alright guys, wish me luck", Flare said.
" You got more then luck on your side Flare", Discord said. Flare nodded, he then closed his eyes, when he opened them, he found himself back in the real world. Ozore was still in the air laughing maliciously.
" You know, I really grew attached to that boy, almost like putting down a puppy, oh well what's done is done", Ozore said. He was about to leave until he heard a familiar voice.
" Hey asshole, this fight isn't over yet", Flare said. Ozore turned around and saw Flare standing up, covered in of scars, especially the scar in the chest where he was stabbed, Flare also possessed a dead eye. Ozore looked furious.
" How...how are you still alive, that blast should have instantly killed you", Ozore said.
" Well what can I say, I'm very stubborn", Flare said with a smirk.
" Indeed you are, but finishing you off won't be an issue, I mean look at you, you're blind in one eye, and that stab wound won't help your case either", Ozore said.
" Oh you underestimate my power Ozore", Flare said. Ozore was about to respond until he saw Flare starting to scream. Flare was manifesting the memories of all the pain Ozore put him through, from hurting his father, to hurting him, to the realization of what will happen if he fails. The ground began to break apart, the pebbles began to rise into the air, and the familiar fire aura formed around Flare. " I WON'T LET YOU WIN", Flare yelled. Then the aura exploded into a bright light. When the light faded, Ozore saw a new pony in front of him, and Ozore was left in shock. It was Flare but different, he looked like the form he took on during the start of the fight, but this time Flare's fur was blue, his mane and tail were still that plain white, but with the exception of small blue streaks, his hooves and eyes erupted in blue fire.
" A blue fire form this time", Ozore said, Ozore then began to chuckle. " If you honestly think that a new color change is going to beat me then you're surly mis-", Ozore said before getting interrupted by a punch to the gut, and then the hoof went through the stomach and out the back. Ozore let out a loud scream of pain and teleported further back, he coughed up blood, but began to laugh again. " Did you forget that I can heal from any injury, no matter how intense...why am I not healing, WHY AM I NOT HEALING", Ozore said. The hole in his stomach wasn't regenerating no matter how hard he tried, Ozore looked at Flare in fear and said, " What are you". Flare gave a chuckle almost as psychotic as Ozore's.
" Your worst nightmare", Flare said. Flare then dashed towards Ozore and dealt out a barrage of punches and kicks. Flare then launched a big blue fire ball point blank at Ozore, causing a huge explosion. When the smoke cleared, Ozore look like he was going to pop a blood vessel he was so angry. He was burned, bloodied, and beaten. But Ozore wasn't done, he flew up into the air and started charging up his magic.
" NO NO NO NO NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I WON'T LOSE, NOT HERE, NOT NOW, AND ESPESICALY NOT FROM STUPID, AROGENT, TEENAGE BRAT", Ozore yelled.
" Oh are you having a temper tantrum Ozore, looks like someone needs a nap", Flare said with a smirk.
" SHUT YOUR MOUTH, AND BURN IN TARTURAS", Ozore yelled. He then finished charging his magic, and right above him was a giant ball of dark magic, and he launched it at Flare.
" YOUR THE ONE GOING TO TARTURAS YOU BASTARD", Flare yelled, Flare then fired a large beam of blue fire. The magic ball and beam clashed. It started to look into Flare's favor until Ozore added more power.
" DIE YOU MAGGOT", Ozore yelled, The magic ball grew even bigger and started to overwhelm the fire beam.
" THIS ENDS NOW", Flare yelled, Flare then added more power to his beam, the beam then overwhelmed the magic ball and destroyed it. The beam then engulfed Ozore, Ozore screamed in pain as he was burning alive.
" CURSE YOU FLARE", Ozore screamed, Ozore's body burned off him, reaveling a grey skeleton, the skeleton then burned apart and disintegrated. Then there was a huge explosion, and Ozore was no where in sight. Flare returned to his original form and was catching his breath.
" I...I...I did, I won, thank you, everyone", Flare said, he then saw someone he recognized appear out of no where, Flare let out a gasp as he saw the spirit of Blazer standing before Flare. " Dad...is that you", Flare asked. Blazer nodded.
" It's me son, and I just want to say that I am so proud of you, now I can finally rest in peace, as well as the other ponies and one draconequus", Blazer said with a smile. Flare then walked up to Blazer and gave him a hug.
" I...I miss you Dad", Flare said, Flare began to cry, Blazer then hugged Flare back.
" I miss you too Flare, but I'm afraid what's done is done, just promise me one thing before I part", Blazer said.
" What is it", Flare asked.
" Never stop fighting for what's right", Blazer said, Flare nodded.
" I promise", Flare said. Blazer nodded, and then he faded away. " Dad...DAD", Flare screamed, Flare teared up some more before he wiped up the tears. Flare just sat there in the field, thinking about everything that has happened this day, then he siged. " I'll keep fighting for what's right, you'll see Dad. Now I think it's time to tell every pony the good news", Flare said. Flare was about to teleport but using up all that magic during the fight left him a little too weak to use any more, so he just siged. " I guess it's walking then", Flare said with a chuckle, and with that Flare walked, straight for Canterlot Castle.
The throne room of Canterlot was completely silent, all nine mares were each practically holding their breath waiting until something would happen. Then Twilight spoke, " What do you think Celestia, do you think that stallion did it", Celestia sighed.
" Hard to say, that boy did show an incredible amount of power, but Ozore is still a dangerous foe", Celestia said.
" That reminds me, how is it that you and Luna, us, and Discord failed to defeat him, but this one guy managed to give Ozore a run for his bits. What magic does he have that we don't", Twilight asked.
" To be honest, I don't know, I've never seen anything like that before, hopefully that power was enough to finish Ozore once and for all", Celestia said. Then the nine mares heard hoof steps coming towards the door to the throne room, they begun to hold their breath again. The door opened, and to their surprise, it was Flare, all covered in scars and what not, he also seemed exhausted. The mares let out sighs of relief as they saw Flare walk into the room, Flare let out a chuckle.
" How rude of me to keep all you ladies waiting", Flare said.
" Indeed", Rarity said with a scoff, then everyone burst out in laughter, followed by cheering from the mares. Flare walked by each of the shackles that were holding the mares in place and melted them using his magic. When the mares stood up, they stretched like they never got off the ground before.
" How did you do it", Twilight asked.
" Let's just say that I had a little motivation during the final battle", Flare said. Pinkie Pie started jumping up in the air faster then Flare could keep track of.
" Yay, now we can have a I just defeated an evil tyrant from conquering all of Equestria party", Pinkie Pie said with a wide grin. Flare let out a chuckle.
" Believe me, I could go for a party after all this", Flare said. The mares all then gave their undying thanks to Flare, Rarity even gave Flare a kiss on the cheek as a sign of thanks. Celestia then walked up to Flare.
" Tell me, what's your name young colt", Celestia asked.
" It's Flare, Fire Flare", Flare said.
" Well Flare, you have done Equestria a great service, and we won't forget it, and I believe that the residents of Equestria would love to here of our current victory", Celestia said. Clestia then made a projection of herself and sent it throughout Equestria, similar to when Ozore did it. Then she spoke, " Citizens of Equestria I have an enouncement to make, Ozore has been defeated and is no longer a threat to Equestria, and I want to introduce to you the stallion who brought an end to Ozore's tyranny", Celestia said. She then moved aside and Flare appeared in the projection.
" Hello everyone, my name is Fire Flare, and yes you heard correct, I was the one who killed Ozore, his threat will no longer plague Equestria. But this does not mean that Equestria is completely safe from evil, but know this, if another evil tries to threaten Equestria, I'll be on the front lines to face it, thank you all", Flare said. When Flare turned around to leave the sight of the projection,he swore he could hear the faintest sound of ponies cheering from all around Equestria.
" So Flare, now that you are a hero of Equestria, what would you like as a reward, wealth, a mansion, we could even grant you the position on the Royal Guard, so what would it be", Luna asked.
" I'll have to think about it, but right now, all I want is some sleep", Flare said. Everyone was laughing after that statement.
Celestia then spoke." Very well, then I think we should all acquaint ourselves tomorrow", Celestia said.
" That sounds good to me", Flare said.
Over the next couple of months, things were getting a lot brighter for Equestria. Celestia and Luna had found a spell that would mend their wings to their backs and have them fully functional. Flare also found a spell that would return the sight in his left eye again, but the scars still remain. He was also appointed to the Royal Guard, and now is a high ranking soldier. With the savings he earned, Flare purchased a house at Canterlot and is now living there. Flare was also well acquainted with Twilight and her friends, also he met Spike and Big Macintosh, the two he usually hangs out with when he gets the chance, also on his birthday, Fluttershy got him a Fox Red Labrador Retriever. Flare named him Blazer . And finally Princess Celestia created a stained glass window of Flare overwhelming Ozore in a heated battle. It now seems as though that the story of Fire Flare has come to a happy and satisfying end.
There is one little detail though that bugs Flare a lot. What's the deal with him transforming when he gets pissed? Oh well, it looks like that will be a new adventure for another time.
