No, Twilight intended to tell Celestia that the circle was created just for spellcasting curiosity, streamlined for better alteration charms. This was, in the strictest of senses, the truth. A bent, slightly manipulated version of the truth, but the truth nevertheless.

“Go figure. Anyway, aside from the soup and dessert, you’re looking pretty much done. Should probably start plating,” said Spike. There was a knock at the door, which stole Rainbow’s attention away from her cooking.
