A man running a vintage auto scrapyard comes across an odd squatter who bares her fangs about leaving.

As the sole owner and operator of a scrapyard dealing with vintage cars in the middle of nowhere, John has a relatively quiet, dull - and yet busy life.

Dull and quiet cease to become descriptors when an unexpected intruder makes her presence known. In a world where robotic pony companions exist, one of these discarded bots has made the junkyard her home. And she's not exactly open to vacating. Or being particularly friendly.

But there's much more to her than the mystery of how and why she came here... such as her mechanical aptitude, knowledge of automobiles, and even an electromagnetic-fueled levitation ability. And quite a volatile demeanor.

What other secrets does she hold behind that sharp mind and combative attitude?

Hailing from a Mongolian basket-weaving forum, originally in greentext format for a general dedicated solely to bootleg ponies comes a project I've been vested in for two years and counting. Midnight is a culmination of my love for moonhorse and her darker side smashed in with my interest in automotive history and restoration. As this is essentially a conversion work with bits of rewriting scattered about for improvement, organization, and overall better flow, I intend to have regular updates to this tale, along the lines of at least once a week.
