Chapters Chapter one: A wish gone wrong
Shining Armor. the prince of the Crystal Empire, was bored out of his ever loving mind. He was standing in a long meeting with the nobles, all talking about boring, dry topics like taxes and trying to obtain trade contracts for trade routes. He tapped a hood on the ground eyeing the clock overhead as he tried to pay attention. He could feel a pressure in his bowels and squirmed a little needing to poop really bad. All that morning coffee had gone right through him. He turned to see that the clock overhead indicated he had to endure two more hours of this.
All the while, Sunburst was reading statements form the new bill of trade as the nobles asked them questions. He was also fidgeting, needing to use the bathroom as well. Sunburst fixed his glasses and cleared his throat. “Well, that‘s all we have to do for now. We’ll give everyone a ten minute break and meet back here. Okay, everypony?”
The nobles all started to get up from the table and they were walking out talking amongst each other, as Sunburst got up and chuckled seeing how drowsy Shining looked, so he teased. “So, Shining, looks like you’re still alive, somehow.”
Shining gave a yawn and nodded. “Yeah, but how much longer do we have to endure this? My back is aching.”
Sunburst chuckled. “Well, we still have two more hours of this.”
Shining groaned, rubbing a hoof down his face. ”I would rather do hours of drills than this.” He got up from his chair running a hoof down his mane.
Sunburst fixed his glasses and began. “So, I guess we have ten minutes to go take a break…”
Shining groaned as he felt his bowels beg for release and squeaked as he ran off. “Well, I have to go use the bathroom! I’ll be back soon!” He rushed off as Sunburst shouted. “Hey, I have to go pee! Let me go first!”
In another part of the castle, Princess Cadence was busy training her two daughters in basic magic skills. The two foals were using their magic to float little toys around as Cadence watched with a keen eye, making sure they didn’t have any magic surges.
The two fillies were as happy as could be as Flurry Heart cooed and flapped her wings, shooting sparks from her horn as she lifted her whammy snail plushie. Fizzlepop was concentrating as she grunted and was trying to raise her bunny plushie.
The princess couldn’t hold it any longer, and took both foals into her hooves and snuggled them together as she cooed. “Oh, you two are just too cute! What did I do to deserve such adorable foals like you?” They both giggled and kicked about, making their diapers crinkle audibly. She nuzzled them and kissed them both on the forehead. “Well, you two did such a good job. But Mommy needs to go see how Shining is doing at that boring meeting.” She gave each foal a boop on their nose and stood up to leave as the foals watched.
Flurry Heart turned towards Fizzlepop and asked. “Hey, Fizzwepop, wana pwactice mowe magic?”
Fizzlepop nodded and babbled. “Yeah, but we pwactice awot aweady. I wana show what we weawn to Daddy.”
Flurry Heart squealed in delight. “Yeah! Tat sounds wike a good idea! But we need to do someting speciaw.”
Fizzlepop tapped a hoof to her chin. “Wememba when we had magic suwges?”
Flurry rolled her eyes. “How could I forget? We dwove Mommy ad Daddy cwazy.”
Fizzlepop then asked. “Wha if we made wishes, wike ta fawiy in ta stowie Mommy wead us?”
Flurry giggled and replied. ”We can’t do tat, we have little contwoow ovew owa magic suwges.”
Fizzlepop pouted as she crossed her hooves and mumbled. “Bu we bettew with magic now, I bet we can do it.”
Flurry tapped a hoof to her chin in thought. “Otay, but we needs to be cawefuw and make it a smaww wish.”
Fizzlepop nodded, and then they both went to the nursery door that was closed shut and Fizzlepop sighed. “Wew, I wish we can open tis door fow stawtews.”
Flurry got on her back legs, waddled to the door and grunted as she lit her horn thinking about the request. In a burst of magic it hit the door and a small pink door opened beneath it, Flurry opened it! “Yay, it wowked!”
Fizzlepop giggled. “Wow! If we can do tat, we can do anyting!” The foals then waddled off down the hall, giggling while thinking of things to wish for for their family.
Cadence walked down to the conference room in the back of the castle and turned to Sunburst who was waiting patiently outside a bathroom, jumping up and down, clearly holding in the need to pee. Cadence giggled and asked. “Oh hey, Sunburst. Is Shining hogging the bathroom again?”
Sunburst growled as he jumped around. “Yeah, and he’s taking forever! It’s not fair!”
Cadence smirked and knocked on the door. “Honey, are you okay in there?”
“I’m fine, Cadence! I’ll be done shortly,” Shining called from the other side of the door. “Tell Sunburst to wait, geez! It’s like he’s a little kid.”
Cadence giggled and cooed, “Okay, Shiny, but do you need any help? You sure you don’t need Mommy to wipe you?”
Shining groaned back and whined. “Of course not! Stop babying me, Cadence! I’m not two!”
The princess laughed and turned to Sunburst and asked. ”Alright. So, Sunburst, how’s the conference going?”
Sunburst pranced around the place and whined. “We got everything you wanted finished. We’re almost done. We just need to finish it off by having the nobles sign the deals.”
Cadence nodded and blushed. “Shining, you might wanna hurry it up. I think that Sunburst is going to burst.”
Shining groaned. “I’m done! Tell him to wait a few more minutes while I get cleaned up.”
Sunburst whined and exclaimed. “Shining, come on! You’ve been in there for ten minutes! You’ve gotta share!”
Cadence couldn’t help but burst into laughter at that. When she got her composure she lightly giggled. “You two have fun in there. I’m going to go back to play with the foals.”
Sunburst rolled his eyes and continued to dance around. “Alright. I really need to work on my teleportation skills, then I don’t have to wait for Shining to finish hogging the bathroom all the time.”
Cadence laughed as she walked down the hall. As she turned the corner she didn’t notice Fizzlepop and Flurry coming around the same corner.
The foals peeked around the corner and watched Sunburst doing a potty dance in front of the bathroom door and knocking. “Come on, hurry up!” He whined anew.
Fizzlepop bent down to her sister and whispered. “So, wooks wike we needs to hewp Daddy, he needs help with going potty ‘cause he’s been in thewe so wong.”
Flurry nodded, looking on. “Yeah, bu we needs to hewp Mw. Sunny fiwst. He’s gonna pee-pee aww over ta floow if we dun hewp him.”
They both nodded together as they lit their horns and concentrated on Sunburst. Then a beam of energy hit him, as a cloud of magic poofed around his rump! The stallion blinked in confusion and looked down to see himself wearing a thick diaper with his cutie mark printed on it. He saw how the diaper sat around his rump with cute little smiling suns printed on it. He looked around the hall making sure he was alone, then all of a sudden he started to pee inside the diaper. He sighed in relief when he was finished and with a thick blush on his face, waddled off quickly to get changed.
The two foals then waddled to the bathroom door and Flurry cooed. “Otay, now we help Daddy. Hope he didn’t faww down da howe.”
Fizzlepop nodded and they both shot their magic at the door, just like before a small pink door appeared at the bottom. They both went through and saw Shining Armor sitting on the toilet with a newspaper in his hooves.
Flurry blinked in surprise (she didn’t understand why you would read while using the bathroom) and Fizzlepop rolled her eyes. “Daddy dun need hewp, he just being wazy and a meanie to Sunbuwst.”
Flurry shrugged. “Well he may stiww need help ow somethin, I mean he wants to sat on ta potty longew.”
Both foals turned and big smile formed on their faces as Fizzlepop asked. “Weww, wha if we use owa magic to help Daddy stay on ta potty wonger?”
Flurry gave Fizzlepop an odd look and asked, “How we do tat?”
Fizzlepop shrugged. “I dun know, but ouw magic sugwes wowked so faw with Sunnybuwst and the door, so I tink we can hewp Daddy.”
Flurry lit her horn and babbled. “Otay, wew…one…two…three!” They both shot a beam of magic at Shining, who squeaked as he felt the weird magic wash over him. When it faded, he looked around and saw that he was now a small foal with his cutie mark moving over his crotch area. He tried to touch it but it blew up into a diaper like material that went around his legs. It poofed up, but instead of tabs it went around his rump like a pair of pants.
He squealed, falling backwards and plumping on his padded rump. Then he watched as the toilet shrank into a small plastic potty. He got up, watching in amazement upon seeing the plumbing had all vanished, leaving just a cute foal’s training potty Then the diaper like material fell between his back hooes and he squeaked, stumbling back onto his small plastic potty. He whimpered, hugging himself as he whined. “Wha is going on hewe?! Why’s evewyting changed?!”
Shining looked up to see Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop approach him, laughing. Fizzlepop cooed. “Hi, Daddy, awe ya in potty twaining?!”
Shining pouted. “No, of couwse not!” He squeaked at his high pitched voice and whimpered “H...how did tis happen?! Wha ya do to me?!”
Flurry laughed. “We thought ya need hewp with ta potty, but we didn know this wouwd happen!”
Shining whined. “Ya two awe in big twobwe when Cady finds out!” He got up and tried to waddle over to the foals, squeaking as he tripped over the padding and fell down. Fizzlepop and Flurry both came to Shining and together helped him back onto the potty. Fizzlepop then saw his newspaper had turned into a silly picture book and plopped it into Shining’s hooves. “Thewe, ya wead ya stowie whiwe goin poopies and dun get off ta potty ow ya gonna go in ya puww-up.”
Shining blushed as he scrunched his legs. “Bu..but I awawy went poopies! I was just twying to wead.”
Flurry blushed. “Well, ya a foaw now and ya might need to go potty mowe. I tink I go potty mowe than you ow Mommy do.”
The prince rolled his eyes and sighed. “Fine, but aftew I go potty I gonna caw Cady and ya two awe gonna fix this.” He crossed his forelegs and gave a pout, still a little embarrassed at using the potty in front of others.
Then they all heard a cry as a little chubby orange coated foal (who was extremely chubby) waddled into the bathroom through the door the foals had left earlier. “Wha happened to me?!”
Both Fizzlepop and Flurry blushed as Fizzlepop explained. “We wewe twyin’ to hewp Daddy with goin potty. Sowie, Mw. Sunbuwst, we didn’ mean to tuwn ya into a foaw too. We just twied to hewp ya so you wouwdn’t pee-pee on ta gwound.”
Sunburst blushed, seeing his diaper was soaked yellow and sagging around him. He blushed and whined at the foals. “So ya magic tuwned me into a foaw?!”
Shining couldn’t help but laugh as he scrunched his legs together. ”Hehe, at weast I owdew and can use ta potty. See?”
Sunburst got up with a cute pout and shouted! “No faiw! Why did ya two change him into a toddwa and me into a foaw?!”
Flurry took a closer inspection at the diaper and giggled. “Tat’s not a diapee. tat a puww-up! Ya pee-peed in ya puww-up, siwwy.”
Sunburst looked down. “Weww, at weast I as owd as Shiny, I tink.”
Shining laughed. “Aww, wittle Sunny can’t use ta potty, he pee-pee in his pants!”
Sunburst whined anew. “Onwy beasue ya hog ta potty, ya desewve to be a wittwe foaw!”
Shining roared as he got off the potty and tackled Sunburst to the ground, shouting. “Ya gonna take tat back, ya poopy head!”
Sunburst stuck his tongue out. “Not a chance, ya big baby!”
Just then, Cadence came into the bathroom with hooves on her hips. “Hey, what’s going on he-” She stopped mid sentence seeing both Shining Armor and Sunburst in their foalish states as Shining got up. “Cady! Owa foaws tuwned me into a toddew! Tuwn me back, and then tey need to go to timeout!”
Cadence snickered and asked. “Oh my, how did that happen?“
Flurry blushed. If Shining and Sunburst could be understood by Cadence, hopefully she and Fizzlepop could be too. She babbled. “Weww...ya see, Mommy, we just wanted to hewp Daddy.”
Fizzlepop nodded and explained. “Yeah. He said he need hewp going potty and ya said owa magic was bettew, so we tiwed using magic sugwes to hewp. We weawwy sowie.”
Cadene eyed her foals, somehow she’d understood every single word of that. “That was really naughty!” She scolded. “Just because your magic is getting better doesn't mean you can just use unstable magic surges on ponies!” They both whimpered and Cadence sighed. “Alright, well the good news i, I think that your magic teacher from Canterlot has a antidote for this stuff. I’ll get her to send me a few samples of her potion. In the meantime..” She turned to both Shining and Sunburst. “I’m going to have to continue the meeting, so I need you two to stay on the potty until I say otherwise.”
Shining whined. “Bu I aweady went poopies and Sunburst peed his puww-up.”
Cadence just took both colts into her hooves, took out another training potty, and placed it next to the one already there. After taking care of Sunburst’s wet pull-up and cleaning him and Shining up, she slipped down their pull-ups and plopped them on their respective potties, while setting a timer. “Now, I’m going to finish up the meeting and be back before this timer goes off. You two just sit on your potties. If you two don’t then you will also get a timeout.”
Shiing growled. “Come on! We not foaws!”
Sunburst whined. ”Yeah, no fair! Come on, Cady.”
But she looked down at the two colts and put on a strict, motherly tone. “Now now, stop that behavior. You two will do as I say until you’re adults again,” They both blushed now seeing how strict and motherly Cadence was. The princess of love then cooed. “Now, if that’s all, then I’m going to finish this meeting. Don’t worry, I won’t tell them what happened. I’ll just tell the nobles you’re indisposed at the moment,” She then turned to the two fillies and lifted them with her magic. “Don’t think you two are off the hook either, misses. You’re both in big trouble when this is all over.”
Chapter two: First Day as a Toddler
Shining Armor and Sunburst were sitting on the little plastic potties with their pull-ups pulled down to their hooves and were too embarrassed to speak to each other. Sunburst sighed and mumbled. “I not going potty I just peed.”
Shining gave a nod and continued, “Yeah, I can’t go either after I just went poopies, and I don’t wanna sit here aww day, we needs to find Fwurry and Fizzwepop and make tem tuwn us back to nowmam.”
Sunburst got up and helped fixed Shining’s pull-up, blushing upon seeing how chubby Shining was as he poked the padding. “Aww, ya so chubby now.”
Shining wined and poked Sunburst’s belly. “Ya chubby too, wook at aww tat foaw fat.”
Sunburst then fixed Shining Armor’s pull-up and smirked. “Ya gots silly suns on ya pull-up, mine is way bettew.”
Sunburst pouted and stuck his tongue out. “Nu uh. Mine’s way coower!”
Shining just patted the pull-up. “It wooks mowe wike a diapey, ya sure ya not gonna pee in it a second time?”
Sunburst growled. “Ya watch, ya gonna pee pee in ya puww-up befoew we find those two fiwwies.”
Shining scoffed at the statement. “Oh yeah? Wanna make a bet?”
Sunburst babbled. “If ya go pee pee in ya puww-up befowe we tuwn back to nowmaw, ya’s gotta do a poopie in it the next time ya have to go, and ya can’t use ta potty.”
“Fine, but if ya the one who goes pee pee, ya the one who has to do a numbew two in it!” Shining retorted and the two shook hooves on the deal. They then both waddled out of the bathroom and peeked down the hall, they saw nopony and Shining Armor whispered. “The coast is cwear.”
Both colts waddled down the hall in search of Flurry and Fizzlepop. Suddenly, from out of nowhere a guard came up from behind. He didn’t recognize either foal. “Halt, who are you two?” He questioned.
Both colts froze and slowly turned around as Shining saw it was one of his guards. He proudly waddled up and proclaimed. “I ta pwince of ta Cwystaw Empiwe, Shiny Awmow! Can ya hewp us, Mw. Guawd?”
Sunburst nodded and explained. “Yeah, we wew tuwned into foaws by Fwurry Heawt and Fizzwepop, and we need youw hewp to find tem.”
The guard burst into laughter. “Wow, what a fun little adventure story you’ve cooked up, you two are great! Now come on, I’m sure your parents are worried sick. Let’s get you back to them.” He lifted both colts onto his back as Shining stomped up and down and then whined. “Stop that, we not babies!”
Sunburst blushed. “Ya suwe awe acting wike one.”
Shining turned around with a glare. “Say tat one mowe time, Sunbuwst!”
The guard chuckled. “Alright, calm down you two. Now, before we find your parents, do either of you need to use the potty, little champs in the making? I don’t want any accidents.”
Both colts got really angry and shouted at the same time. “No, we fine!”
The guard snickered. “Alright, just don’t go pee on my back. You hear me? I’m not changing pull-ups.”
Sunburst crossed his hooves and grumbled. “We not babies, we can take cawe of ouwseves.”
Shining turned to see Flurry’s room and babbled. “Thewe, we need to see Fwurry and Fizzwepop!”
The guard turned around with a nod. “I guess that will be fine. You little ones can make some new friends, and I’ll look for your parents” He trotted into the room and placed the two foals on the ground where Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop both gasped and crawled over.
Fizzlepop came over and hugged Sunburst, brushing her diaper up against his pull-up as she asked. “Hey, ya okay, Mw. Sunbuwst?”
He blushed, a little embarrassed, and hugged her back. “Yeah, I fine, and tanks.”
Meanwhile, Flurry tackled her dad and giggled. “Aww, ya so cute, Daddy!”
Shining Armor giggled and kicked in his pull-up as he babbled. “Hey, stop tat ya two!”
The guard watched with wide eyes. “Wow, you really were telling the truth. I thought there was something familiar about you two.”
Shining got up and babbled. “Of course I tellin’ ta twuth, now Flurry ya and Fizzwepop gots to turn us back to nowmaw, pwease.”
Flurry Heart blushed. “Uh, owa magic is powefuw but we dun know what to do! We needs to wait fow ta cuwe fwom owa teachew.”
Sunburst sighed and gave a nod. “She has a point, Shiny. Tey wew just messin’ awound with magic suwges. We stiww dun know ta effects ow what couwd happen if they twy to do it again.”
Shining got up and pouted. “Not faiw, ya two weawwy messeed up! Ya even tuwned a toiwet into a twaining potty!”
Flurry blushed. “We was just twyin to hewp. We didn’t mean to mess with anyting. Besides, the potty is better tat way. When it was biggew, it awmost ate Fizzwepop!”
Fizzlepop nodded. “Yeah, I feww in whiwe it was fwushing! So scawy! Twaining potties dun do tat to ya!”
Just then, Cadence came into the room. “Oh, there you are. You two had me worried sick when I couldn’t find you in the bathroom.” She took both Sunburst and Shining into her magical embrace and nuzzled them closer to her chest, then she began to check their pull-ups as Shining Armor growled and whined, “We just went potty wike five minutes ago, Cadence!”
Cadence tried not to roll her eyes. “You’re toddlers, you should know by now that foals have unstable bladders and even sometimes bowels.”
Everyone giggled, and then Sunburst waddled up and asked. “So, ya gots ta cure, wight?”
Cadence shook her head. “I’m afraid not. I just came by to explain that the shipment will be coming in by tomorrow. Seeing that the cure is very sensitive, it has to be delivered by hoof. But I was told I also need to have you both checked up on.”‘
Shining eyed his wife and asked. “Wha ya mean? Sunbuwst and I feew fine.”
Cadence sighed. “When Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop hit you with magic and regressed you and Sunburst into toddlers, it may have had some side effects that go beyond just the regression itself.” She then scooped both foals onto her back with magic as Shining whined. “Wait…who’s doing tis check up?”
Cadence continued as she placed them on Flurry’s changing table. “Well, we need to see Flurry’s doctor for that. But that also means I can’t have you two having accidents, and you know what that means.” She laid both ponies down and began the change. The mare hummed and proceeded with taking out two, thick blue diapers, slowly taping them around each colt and giggling, watching them pout in their new padding.
Shining growled. “Ya doing tis just to have an excuse to put me in diapees, wight?”
Cadence just winked. “Maybe, but you have to admit that diaper matches your eyes.”
Shining shook his head in disappointment as Sunburst got up and bounced in his new padding a little. “Weww, it is quite comfowtabwe, actuawwy.”
Cadence took out a two seated stroller and then placed each colt inside as she strapped them in. “Now if either of you need anything just let me know, okay? You’re both colts now, it’s perfectly okay to ask for help,” Both colts whimpered as Cadence pushed the stroller down the hall and turned to one of the passing guards. “Oh, Cannon Feather. While you’re here, can you watch Flurry and Fizzlepop while I’m gone?”
Cannon Feather gulped and put a hoof into the ground. Truth be told he was kind of terrified of the magical power the two fillies had. But he couldn’t bring himself to say no to the princess of love. “Uh sure…” He turned to the two fillies as Fizzlepop whispered with a mischievous grin on her face. “Hey, do woyaw guawds need diapees too? Tey wowk aww day and night aftew aww.”
Flurry Heart gave a nod and explained. “When I become pwincess, I making aww my guawds weaw diapees…but we need to see what wowks…so...”
Before long, poor Cannon Feather would find himself be diapered by the foals, who laughed and laughed at his misfortune. “I sure hope Bucket Bridle and Bright Wing don’t find out about this, ” He thought to himself. “It’s bad enough they say I’m a junior guard, I don’t need them thinking I need more potty training. I was out of diapers before I was five, thank you very much. ”
Both Shining Armor and Sunburst now sat in a doctor’s room with rainbow colored walls and a jar full of lollipops on the doctor’s desk. Sunburst looked at them with some drool coming down his chin. He wouldn’t admit it, but to his toddler mind they looked so delicious.
Cadence chuckled, lifted one of the lollipops and popped it into Sunburst’s mouth who blushed. Shining rolled his eyes as Cadence cooed. “Do you want a lollipop too, Shining?”
Shining Armor scoffed. “Of couwse not, I not a foaw!”
Cadence ruffled his mane. “Oh, you’re just so adorable. Maybe I’ll keep you like this for a little while.”
Sunburst giggled and Shining whined. “No, ya bettew not! Or so hewp me I nevew speaking to ya again!”
Just then, a cute white coated unicorn mare with a swirling mane and tail of light pink and bright yellow appeared, sporting cheerful blue eyes, with her cutie mark being a smiling sun. She smiled at the princess. “Ah, so these are the two little colts you mentioned.”
They both blushed as Cadence explained. “Hello, Doctor Sunshine, we need a checkup for my husband and crystaller. They both were turned into foals by my daughter and I just want to make sure they’re okay…and also see how old they are…”
Doctor Sunshine was confused but shrugged and reply “Alright, I guess. Weird things like this happen all the time around here it seems,” She took out a stethoscope and placed it on both their chests making the colts shiver form the cold metal touching their bare fur. Then she went about checking their breathing, and then went about checking their reflexes with a rubber hammer. Finally she took a popsicle stick, placed it upon their tongues and shined a flashlight down each of their throats. She then got up and proclaimed. “Well, I can safely say these two are perfectly healthy. From their dental and undeveloped bones, I would put both at three years old exactly.”
The two colts squeaked in horror. “Thwee?!”
Cadence clapped her hooves together and squealed, “Oh, that’s perfect! Well then, thank you very much, Doctor Sunshine,” She then took out two lollipops. “Do you want one?” She offered the colts
This time the colts both gladly accepted one as they were placed back in the stroller. Both colts, blinked coming to the realization on how young they were in body and mind.
Later that night, both colts were now in booster seats at the dinner table with cut up vegetables, and sippy cups filled with milk. Cadence eyed her regressed husband. “You better eat all your food, Shining. Or do you need Mommy to help?”
Shining Armor growled. “I can do it by myself, ya not my weaw mommy!” He tired lifting his plastic fork and knife with his magic, but nothing worked, his horn wouldn’t even spark.
Sunburst did a better job at being able to cut up his veggies and scoop them into his mouth. He stuck his tongue out at Shining, who furiously took a scoop of mashed potatoes and flung it at Sunburst.
It struck him in the face, making him roar with anger. He then throw another hoofful of mashed potatoes back at Shining, splattering mashed potatoes all over the place! Soon a full scale food fight had broken out between the two.
Furious, Cadence looked around and shouted. “Hey, stop that! No food fights at the dinner table, young colts!” She then took both colts and placed them in timeout (after cleaning them up). “There, now you two better stop this or you’re going to be in time out for thirty minutes.”
Both colts stuck tongues out at each other and turned away. Cadence sighed. “Two colts are harder to raise than I thought.”
Later that night, Cadence was helping her little colts brush their teeth, and then had them sit on the potty for ten minutes even though they whined that they didn’t have to go. Afterwards she had both strapped into nighttime diapers that were really thick.
Shining whined. “We’re toddwers, Cadence.”
Cadence simply replied. “I know, and at your age wetting the bed is quite normal. I’d rather not wake up to soaked sheets tomorrow. Besides, if everything goes well then you only have to deal with this for one night. Okay?” She then placed both colts under the covers and tucked them in. She had a colt in each of her hooves as they both felt the warmth come from her.
Shining was overwhelmed and snuggled dep into his wife’s fur while Sunburst did the same and soon all three were fast asleep.
Chapter Four: First Day of Preschool
The next day both Sunburst and Shining Armor were riding down the street in a chariot, sitting side by side with Princess Cadence. The two foals both were nervous and quivered around the ponies walking down the street, giving them smiles or waving at them. Shining Armor was wearing a cute baby blue t-shirt with clouds printed on it and a pair of pull-ups. He put his hooves over them, completely embarrassed by the padding between his legs. Sunburst was wearing a bright blue t-shirt with a smiling sun printed on it, with his pull-up between his legs. He was also squeamish, shifting about in the chariot.
Soon the chariot pulled up in front of a schoolhouse building made up of pink crystal with the words “Crystal Sunny Day Preschool.” written over the big blue front doors.
Cadence clapped her hooves in delight and squealed, “Here we are, your new preschool.” She got out and led the two colts to the front doors, both very nervous about their first day. As they entered the lobby both colts groaned looking around and seeing big baby blue plush carpet and the walls painted with ABCs and numbers.
The preschool teacher was a shy, yellow coated unicorn mare with light blue eyes, a swirling mane of dark purple and pink, thick rimmed glasses and a soft blue skirt with white frills trimmed around the dress. She was behind the counter helping parents sign their foals up, when she looked up and smiled. “Oh, Princess Cadence, I’m so happy to see you!”
She went around the counter as Cadence hugged her and cooed. “Hello, Nursery Rhyme. I’m so happy to see you too!”
Nursery Rhyme blushed, fixing her glasses. “Oh it’s amazing that we have some of your cousins joining us today. But what about Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop?”
Cadence smiled and explained. “They’re still too young for preschool, I’m afraid. I haven’t even started potty training them yet. In fact Rebecca Pie is staying to foalsit the two since she’s the only one who can handle magic surges. Let’s just say there’s been a few issues with them using their magic on purpose,” Then she changed the subject. “Can you explain how preschool works to my cousins? It’s their first day and I think they’re a little nervous.”
Nursery Rhyme smiled and chirped. “Don’t worry, we get that all the time,” She looked down at the little colts and cooed. “Oh, you two must be Sunny Day and Cloudy Day. Delighted to meet you.”
Both colts blushed, too nervous to say anything and they both tried to pull down their t-shirts to cover their pull-ups. Nursery Rhyme blushed as she looked up and asked. “So how far along are they in potty training?”
Cadence blushed and explained. “Oh they both just turned three and graduated from diapers.”
Shining Armor and Sunburst glared at Cadence. The teacher fixed her glasses and giggled. “Oh dear, I think we’ll be seeing a few accidents.”
Shining crossed his hooves and shouted. “Nah uh! We dun have accidents, we both went potty this mownin!”
The teacher giggled and cooed. “Really? Well don’t you worry, I’ve dealt with many accidents as a preschool teacher. No one will judge you if you have one here, a toddler’s bladder and bowels can be unpredictable sometimes,” She then got up and cooed. “Don’t worry, Princess Cadence, I’ll take things from here.”
The two colts both looked at Cadence who smiled and kissed them both on the forehead as she whispered. “Don’t worry, I’ll see you later in the afternoon, alright?”
Both colts gave short nods as the preschool teacher lead the two colts through the front doors to the actual preschool.
Shining and Sunburst both whimpered, looking upon a crowd of toddlers waddling around, stacking blocks and playing tag. Older mares were going around the place picking up toddlers and asking them if they needed to go potty. while others had to lead crying toddlers to the bathroom due to some unfortunate accidents.
Both Shining and Sunburst both blinked with uncertainty as one toddler waddled over. He was a chubby, sparkling dark blue coated unicorn colt, with dark silver eyes and a scruff of silver mane and tail. The colt babbled. “Hey, two othew cowts! My name is Cwstayw Shawd!”
Shining sighed and babbled. “I Cwoudy Day, but caww me Cwoudy.”
The colt was super excited and bounced up and down. “Hey wana pway with me?! I gots foam swords!”
Shining Armor crossed his hooves. “So what?! We just wana weawn to go potty, no pway!”
Sunburst blushed and continued. “But we awe going to be hewe aw day, it’ww be bowin’ just sitting awound.”
The colt babbled. “Wets pway woyaw guawd.” He took out a foam sword and swung it around.
Shining whined. “Tat not how ya do it, Shawd! I was a woyaw guawd, I show you how to be a guawd and used a swowd!” He picked up a foam sword and took up a stance. “This how ya fight!”
The little colt whacked Shining on the head and growled. “My daddy taught me how ta fight! I know how to use a swowd!” Crystal Shard tackled Shining and the two rolled around, whacking each other with the foam swords as Sunburst stood aside and watched, laughing.
Eventually, Shining got on top and shouted. “Ha, I win!”
Crystal Shard got up and growled. “Again! Tis time ya is going down!” The two attacked each other again, while Sunburst turned and saw a dark purple coated earth pony filly with dark red pigtails, she had two cute pink eyes and was reading a book.
Sunburst waddled over and introduced himself. “Hewwo, I Sunny Day. I thwee and in potty twaining.”
The filly looked up, blushing as she whispered. “Hi, I Cwystaw Cweaw. I thwee years owd too.”
Sunburst sat down and blushed. “Hey uh, I kind of fowgots how to wead and weawwy want to. Can ya hewp me weawn to wead again, pwease?”
Crystal Clear gave a nod. “Yeah, suwe. Come on, sit down,” Sunburst sat down as the filly babbled. “Tis book is called ‘Cat with a Bat’. It easy to wead, wook. Cat is spewed with K A T.”
Sunburst rubbed his head and asked. “Isn’t cat spewt C E T?”
The filly shook her head. “No, is K A T.”
Sunburst babbled. “Uh, otay I guess that might be it. Wha about bat?”
The filly babbled. “That easy is D A T!”
Sunburst blushed and babbled. “I tink ta not wight, isn’t it BAT?”
“No! Stop it! I know how to wead and I twyin to teach you!” Crystal Clear shouted back.
Sunburst got up and shouted. “Nah uh! Ya getting it wong! I know my ABCs, bu I dun wememba wha comes aftew E.”
Crystal Clear growled, waddled over the board game section, and took out a board game. “Ten we pwayin Scwabble. Winnew teaches ta othew how to wead!”
Sunburst shouted back. “Oh yeah, I ta mastwew at tis game! Ya is going down!”
The filly scoffed. “Yeah wight. I got tenth pwace in ta pweschool spwein bee wast yeaw!”
Soon the two began their cute game of scrabble as they placed little wood tiles and looked down at them. Sunburst took out a D, A, and a T. “There, tat’s how you spell bat!”
The filly stomped her hooves. ”Wew I got a biggew wowd! Doggy!” She placed the tiles down D, O, J, J, I, E. and exclaimed. “There, how’s tat?!”
When Nursery Rhyme came back she saw the adorable scene of Sunburst and Crystal Clear and saw that the board table was a mess. The two foals were arguing over the points they had and who had more. She turned to see Crystal Shard and Shining Armor were sweaty, yet still whacking each other with foam swords. She cooed. “Okay, everyone, who’s ready for snack time?!”
Every toddler squeaked and waddled off, all crawled onto the big plastic bench with animal crackers and sippy cups of juice and they all began to suckle on them.
Sunburst turned and asked. “So who won Sqwiblle? Me ow Cwystaw Cweaw?”
Nursery Rhyme laughed. “Sorry, that’s not how you play Scrabble. But it was quite adorable to see you two trying to learn..”
Crystal Clear crossed her hooves and pouted. “So we both dun know how to wead yet?”
Nursery Rhyme bent down and nuzzled the filly. “It was a valiant effort on both your parts, but we probably need to go over your ABCs first before we can get into spelling.”
Shining looked up and asked. “So who won owa swowd fight?”
The preschool teacher giggled. “Um, well…it looks like you two both won. In a sword fight you go until there’s one pony left standing, and neither of you knocked the other out.”
Crystal Shard sighed. “Ugh, I need to wowk on my swinging.” He continued to munch on his animal crackers and Shining Armor rolled his eyes. “I towd ya, tat’s not how ya swing a swowd!”
“How would you know, Cloudy?” Nursery inquired curiously.
Shining blushed and squeaked, realizing he wasn’t supposed to mention anything he’d done as as an adult. “Oh uh…I was taught by my daddy!” He quickly answered. At least that was half true, he hadn’t always wanted to be a royal guard but his father had let him play fight and taught him proper sword stance.
Crystal Shard jumped up and down. “Me too! My daddy is a woyal guawd and he pwotects Shining Awmow! He so cool!”
Snack time passed uneventfully after that, and then Nursery Rhyme instructed. “Okay, now that we’re all filled up, it’s learning time!” She led them all to a big rug and pulled out a book that contained the entire alphabet as she cooed. ”It’s time for you all to learn your ABCs. Now we’re going to start with the letter A, A is for apple”
The foals chanted back as Sunburst and Shining Armor chimed in. They both blushed, feeling inclined to continue with the foalish lessons.
After a few hours of nursery rhymes and singing their letters and numbers, Nursery Rhyme smiled. “Alright, cuties, that’s enough for now. You can play for thirty minutes, but then it’s nap time.”
The foals groaned but they quickly sped back to the playroom filled with toys, determined to make the most of play time.
Shining and Sunburst found themselves with Crystal Shard and Crystal Clear. Shining pointed at Sunburst and Crystal Clear and shouted. “Ya two awe both weawwy supew wong! Ya dun know how ta wead! C is for CAT, not K!”
Sunburst blushed and scrunched his pull-up. “So what? I fowgots. Ya did too, ya knew fewer tan me!”
“We sowwie,” Clear apologized. “But I weawwy smawt, I weawn my ABCs aweady! I just needed to be weminded of tem.”
Sunburst scoffed and babbled. “Pwove it! If ya ca sing ya ABCs pewfectly, I’ww wet ya weaw my gwasses.”
The filly clapped her hooves in delight. “Deaw! I wuv tose gwasses!”
Sunburst scoffed and grumbled. “Good wuck, ya’ww need it.”
Clear growled, getting uo as she started to shout. “A! B! C! D! E! F! G!” All the foals around her turned their attention towards the filly.. She continued, “H! I J! K! L! M! N! O! P!” Soon every foal started to chime into the song. “Q! R! S! T! U! V! W! X! Y!...” Then Clear trailed off and rubbed a hoof to her face. “Um…uh…it’s uh…” Then she beamed a smile and shouted. “Z! Z is ta wast lettew!”
Every foal clapped and cheered as Sunburst’s face went white and he babbled, “B..but how?”
Crystal Clear just smiled and took the glasses off his face. “Towd ya I know my ABCS, tey mine now!” She placed them on and cooed. “Wow! Tese awe so coow! Am I gonna get smawtew now?!”
Nursery Rhyme burst into laughter. “Oh, that’s so cute! So nice to see you know how to share, Sunny Day. And I’m glad to see my foals are learning,” Then she cleared her throat. “Now we have to get ready for nap time. So if you need to go potty first, let me know.”
Every foal groaned in disappointment at the fact that play time was over, and many of them began to waddle to the sleeping mats with little foal blankets and plushies. They were all placed under the covers and were tucked in.
But Shining turned to Sunburst and whispered. “Wait...Sunbuwst, we showd go potty fiwst! I dun wana pee pee duwing my nappy.”
Sunburst gave a nod. “Yeah, I was tinking the same ting.”
Their new friends raised their hooves, asking to go potty as well. Both colts sighed and reluctantly they both raised a hoof and waited to be escorted to the bathroom. Quite a few colts and fillies were already in line.
At last Shining and Sunburst were taken into the bathroom and placed in separate stalls. “Dun faww in,” They heard Crystal Shard whisper from another stall as they were seated on the toilets in the stalls. “What goes into tese potties nevew comes out!”
“I heawd a wumow tat somepony went down ta howe once, and tey nevew found him again!” Crystal Clear chimed in.
Shining and Sunburst gulped a bit. They doubted that was true but even so they didn’t like how big the toilets were compared to them. And what would happen if they did fall in? Where would they go?
Still, they were able to concentrate and do their business. Afterwards they were helped down and wiped, then they had to wash their hooves.
After going potty, all four of the toddlers were placed under their sheets with plush animal,s the room was now complete dark now with only a few glowing nightlights lining the walls.
Crystal Shard whispered. “Hey, Cwoudy, ya wook awot wike Shiny Awmow. Awe ya weawted to him?”
Shining blushed and whispered. ”Uh… y-yeah, I am. I his cousin. Tey say I wook just wike him.”
The colt whispered back. “Wee, I wants to be wike him when I gwow up. I wana be Captain of ta Woayw Guawd and svae a pwincess! Can ya ask him how ya do tat?”
Shining blushed, feeling warm and fuzzy inside at how he’d influenced this little colt. So he turned and babbled. ”I pwomice. And if ya want I’m suwe he can teach ya how to fight.”
Shard giggled. “Yeah, I know I need pwactice. Anyways, tanks, Cwoudy, ya a good fwiend.”
Shining hugged his pull-up and whispered. “Yeah, tis is fun…I…I…actuawwy wike pweschool and being in potty twaining.”
Sunburst, meanwhile looked around at the filly and babbled. “Ya did well, ya actuawwy know ya ABCs.”
Crystal Clear gave an apologetic look to her new friend and whispered. “Yeah, but while we wewe weading ya was wight on some of ta wowds. I sowie fow being stubbown.”
Sunburst babbled. “It’s otay, ya young and weading is hawd, in fact ya weawwy awe smawt fow twying to wead books at onwy thwee!”
The filly blushed and nuzzled Sunburst. “Tank you, Sunny, ya my bestest fwiend.”
Sunburst blushed and hugged her back and giggled. “Ya kind of wemind me of my othew fwiend…”
The filly got up with a jealous glare and asked. “Who? Who’s tis othew fwiend?”
Sunburst blushed and smirked. “Sowwie, but tats a secwet.”
A few hours later Princess Cadence came to the preschool to pick up Shining and Sunburst. She peeked into the playroom and gasped upon seeing Shining and Sunburst playing scribble together, mostly just slamming tiles down and spelling out words in gibberish. She dawwed, came over to them and whispered. “Hey cuties, it’s time to go home.”
Both colts groaned and Shining looked up. “We wewe having so much fun tough!”
Sunburst nodded, getting up. “Yeah, we made new fwiends and we went potty! We awso had naps and weawned ta awphabet.”
Cadence’s heart skipped a beat and she hugged them. “Oh, that’s adorable!” Then she noticed the two other foals besides them. “Maybe we can have your new friends come to the palace for a playdate.”
All the foals jumped up and down shouting. “Yeah, tat sounds wike fun!”
Cadence nodded. “Alright then, come on you two.” And they all set off for the castle.
Shining Armor and Sunburst were now both playing with their new friends as they ran around the castle, pampers crinkling as they continued their game of tag.
Shining Armor was running down one of the halls and turned to see if any of the foals were down there. But it seemed to be vacant, so he waddled down the hall. But as he did he squeaked as a colt slammed into him, shoving his thick pull-up on top of Shining’s face. The prince whined and kicked about as he shouted in protest. “No, not fair! Ya was cheating!”
Crystal Shard rolled his eyes and scoffed “Nah uh, thewe’s no wules about tat.”
Shining got up and slammed his hooves into the other colt’s pampers as he babbled. “Ya is it! Ya gots to pway fair!” But Crystal Shard got up, so he waddled off after him while shouting. “Ya get back here, ya cheater!”
“Make me!” Crystal Shard taunted as he stuck out his tongue.
Shining playfully laughed, he wasn't worried. He’d had plenty of experience chasing Flurry around the palace long before she’d ever met Fizzlepop. So he simply waddled towards his nursery, knowing full well Crystal Shard would wear himself out. When the colt did, the prince burst through and slammed the door behind him!
The little prince was then tackled by Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop as they stood over his body triumphantly. He growled through the hooves as Fizzlepop whispered. “Hey, cawm down. We just pwaying.”
Shining Armor wiggled about and shouted. “Get off me! Ya two are cwazy!”
Flurry and Fizzlepop both stood on top of the little prince. Flurry Heart standing over him as she cooed. “Nah uh. Daddy gots to say ta magic word fwist! I supposed to be weaning fwom him.”
Shining rolled his eyes and groaned. Since when did his daughter get so smart? “Pwease, Fwurry, can ya get off me?” He pleaded as best he could.
Fizzlepop ruffled his mane and laughed. “Otay, Daddy!” Both little fillies jumped off their dad and watched as Shining slowly got onto his hooves grumbling as he fixed his pull-up (which had begun to slide down). He looked up and questioned. “What ya two doing hewe anyways? If I was Cwstaw Shawd, ya two wouwd be it.”
Flurry blushed as she rubbed a hoof behind her mane. “Sowie, guess we got super excited. Ya was having fun and we wanted to join in.”
Fizzlepop bounced up and down on her diaper as she exclaimed. “Uh-oh, we needs to hide, fast! Cwystaw is pwobabwy coming!”
The two fillies (and Shining) then looked towards the pull-up drawer. Flurry Heart flapped her wings and with a burst of excitement she squeaked. “Come on, wets hide in the puww-up dwawer! He’ww nevew find us in thewe.”
Before Shining could protest the two fillies both took the little colt within the aura of their magic and threw him into the fluffy, crinkling pile of pull-ups. Shining crawled through the padding but Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop both floated themselves into the drawer as well and slammed it with their magic. The three snuggled as they went deeper inside.
Crystal Shard waddled into the room seconds later, looking around as he whispered. “Whewe did Cwoudy go? I know he’s hewe somewhere,” But as the colt waddled about he noticed how cool Shining’s room was and squealed. “Wow, what a cool room! He even gots a bwothew sweeping with him, I bet he’s nevew scawed of monstews!” He then spotted Shining’s potty chart over what was clearly his bed with Brutus Force on top of the mattress, and the blue shield covering the comforter. He looked up at the potty calendar, bursting into laughter. “Aww, ya two gets stormy clouds! Not good if ya two just started potty training! I older than ya, I dun have accidents!”
Shining Armor got a little steamed at that remark. And before Fizzlepop and Flurry Heart could do anything to stop him he burst through the drawer, throwing pull-ups all over the room as he shouted. “Hey, I doing good! I didn’t have a accident aww day!”
The little colt waddled over and booped Shining Armor’s nose as he cooed,”Ya, it mister!” He then waddled out of the room as Flurry and Fizzlepop followed the colt.
Shining got up and waddled towards the little fillies shouting, “Ya two get back here, now! Dun make me teww Cady on ya!”
He ran down the hallway and looked around the kitchen. Cadence and Rebecca were both talking and drinking tea, unaware of Sunburst and the filly he befriended who were hiding under the table.
They both squeaked as they burst from the table as Shining started to chase them. “You all get back here! Ya in big twouble! Cady might even spank yas!” But before he could continue his chase Cadence lit her horn, took Shining into her magic and yanked the seam of the pull-up back.
The little colt kicked about and whined. “Stop it, Cady! I didn’t pee-pee in my puww-up!”
Cadence brushed his hoof away and cooed. “Well I’m afraid it’s a little wet, sweetheart. Sometimes it happens to foals your age.”
Shining continued to kick about and whined. “Stop it, I need to pway with my friends! I pwomice I’ll go potty when it’s aww ovew!”
Cadence couldn’t help but snuggle the toddler (who was also her husband she kept reminding herself) as she began to change his pull-up and every foal in the room burst into laughter. Shining’s pudgy belly poked out as he tried to hide it with his hooves and whined, once again pleading. “Stop it, Cady! Evewypony’s watching!”
But the prince’s plea was ignored as he had his pull-up pulled over his rump and he blushed as he was placed in a little blue t-shirt, with cute puffy clouds printed on the fabric. The shirt only covering the waistband of his pull-up.
His wife gave his mane a ruffle and then let him waddle off with his pull-up crinkling about. The rest of the foals ran off, still laughing at his misfortune. Shining roared with frustration and embarrassment at the foals as he burst into the throne room and shouted. “You are going to get it now! I’s gonna put you aww in time-out and make Cady take away ya potty pwivilges!”
Shining turned to see that the foals were now hiding around the columns lining down the great hall. He growled, racing the down the giant hall in his thick pull-up, many guards watching with a mix of nervousness and confusion at seeing their regressed captain act so childish.
Eventually, Shining came over and jumped on top of Sunburst making them both fall to the ground, rolling around. Shining ended up on top as he poked Sunburst’s pull-up. “Wooks like somepony pee-peed in their puww-ups. And it ain’t me.”
Sunburst looked down at the fading suns and the yellow stained front of his pull-up as he whined. “Tat’s no fair! You made me pee, Shining!”
Shining laughed as he ran off. “Ya it, mister! Catch me if yas can!”
Sunburst got up in a pout and shouted. “Ya gets back here! I’m gonna get ya!” He crawled after Shining as fast as he could, but squeaked as Cadence took him into her magic and checked his pull-up thoroughly. Feeling it squish beneath her hoof she cooed. “Oh my, looks like we have two soggy colts today.”
The rest of the toddlers came out to watch as Sunburst had his pull-up changed, with him kicking and squirming the whole time. But it was nothing to Cadence who just focused on finishing the change and making sure the new pull-up was over the colt’s rump. Then she put him in a blue t-shirt with a smiling sun printed on it.
Sunburst pouted as he waddled over and grumbled. “So what? Ya all in potty twaining too, at weast I get to weaw someting to cover my puww-up.”
Crystal Clear came over with a blush and helped adjust the pull-up as she nuzzled. “Well ya still wook cute and ya still my best friend. I dun cawe if ya in puww-ups or diapees. In fact, I’d be in diapees if they made ‘em in my size. They a wot mowe comfy, but I can’t use them now that I in potty twaining.”
Cadence cooed. “That’s adorable. Now, I think we’ve had more than enough excitement for one day. How about we have arts and crafts? Something nice and subdued” The foals all jumped and down in the air with excitement as Cadence lead the troupe down the hall.
The foals were now all surrounding a table with crayons and hoof paints. The foals were busy making their own creations, with Shining and his new friend using crayons to create their own little superweapons. Shining’s was of a huge shield with yellow lightning surrounding it. Crystal Shard drew a sword with flames coming off of the blade. He threw the picture up and shouted, “Wook, my super fwame sword is so coow!”
Shining Armor took out his drawing and shouted back. “Nah uh my shield is coower!”
Crystal Shard stomped about in anger and shouted back. “Nah uh, ya wong! My dwaing is so much better!”
Shining Armor pouted as his horn lit up and created a small blue shield around his body. He nagged and taunted. “Come on then, twy bweaking my shield!”
Crystal Shard took out his foam sword and whacked at the shield of magic, but it couldn’t get through. He growled and continued to whack away, but was suddenly picked up by Cadence’s magic as she asked. “What is going on here?”
Crystal Shard turned around and pointed a hoof at Shining. “He’s being a big meanie, tat’s what going on!”
Shining released his shield and whined. “Nah uh, he stawted it! He said his sword can bweak my shield and I gonna pwove him wong!”
Cadence rolled her eyes as she placed Shining back down onto the seat and scolded both colts. “Now now, it’s arts and crafts time not playtime. You two behave or it’s going to be timeout for both of you, understand?!”
Both colts lowered their heads and mumbled in shame. “Yes, Cady.”
The princess gave a nod as she continued on her way towards Crystal Clear and Sunburst to see how they were doing. The two messy toddlers were covered in hoof paint as they were debating over their colores.
The filly pointed at the green paint and growled. “Tat’s red!”
Sunburst stomped about and whined. “No, is green!”
Crystal Clear whined. “Nah uh, is red!”
The two foals bickered for some time and Cadence (curious about their little discussion) came over to look at the paint. Seeing it was clearly green she cooed. “It’s green, sweethearts.”
Sunburst squealed in delight and nagged. “See I knew it was gween!” Crystal Clear crossed her hooves.
Cadence looked over the paintings and saw that the filly made one of a rainbow smeared across the construction paper. Sunburst’s picture was that of a big goofy smiling sun and Cadence dawed. “How cute! These paintings are beautiful!” She ruffled Sunburst’s mane and nuzzled him, making the little colt giggle and squeal in delight.
Crystal Clear got a bit jealous, held out her rainbow and shouted. “Wook, I made a pwetty wainbow.”
Cadence looked over and cooed. “Oh, what a beautiful painting! It’s so lovely!” She nuzzled the little filly as she beamed with pride.
Just then, two guards strode into the kitchen and both gave salutes as one announced. “Princess the parents of Crystal Shard and Crystal Clear have arrived.”
All of the foals groaned as Cadence smirked. “Oh stop it, you’re all going to see each other tomorrow at preschool. Now come on you two, it’s time to go home.”
Crystal Shard jumped over first and looked up at Shining as he shouted. “Ya watch! I gonna weawn mowe about swowds and I gonna beat ya, Cwoudy!”
Shining scoffed. “Good wuck with tat, I’ww be weady!”
Crystal Shard ran off with his cute pull-up bouncing between his legs. Shining blushed feeling a little jealous at the fact that Crystal Shard hadn’t had an accident all day.
Crystal Clear simply came over and kissed Sunburst on the cheek and chirped. “See ya tomorrow, pumpkin!”
She jumped off and ran out of the room as Sunburst rubbed his cheek with a surprised look and whispered. “Pumpkin!?”
Both Shining and Sunburst were both too embarrassed to do much, realizing how much they were enjoying being toddlers. They watched as Cadence escorted their new friends back to their parents, feeling a little sad. Part of them almost didn’t want to go back to being adults if it meant leaving their potty training friends behind.
Chapter Six: a trip to the museum
Cadence was now getting her two little colts ready for the night. She stripped them of their pull-ups and they were now in thick nighttime diapers with moons and stars printed on them to serve as wetness indicators. “Aunt Luna definitely had a big impact on the night time wear market for foals,” She chuckled as she tucked them into their beds making sure they both had their plushies in their hooves. Once done she got up and asked. “Now you two don’t need anything else, right? Neither of you has to go potty?”
“Nah, we good, Cady.” Shining replied.
Sunburst nodded. “Yeah. We just forgot to go potty duwing the playdate. Had too much fun.”
The princess of love smiled, deciding to take them at their word. They had been changed just recently, after all. She tucked them in, and soon Shining and Sunburst were sound asleep with only a pair of nightlights lighting up the room. “Sweet dreams, my little ponies. I’ll be in the nursery with Flurry and Fizzlepop. So come get me if you need anything.” She whispered and left the room.
But not long after his wife had left, Shining stirred under the blankets and whimpered knowing his diaper was soaked. “Mom and Dad said I always had trouble at night, that’s why they double diapered me. ” He thought as he poked it and groaned hearing it squelch quite audibly, indicating a good soak. He looked around the room and saw that Sunburst was still asleep, good.
The little colt slowly got up and fell out of the bed and onto the ground on all fours. He slowly tried to waddle across the room to change.
But at that moment, Sunburst happened to wake up. The former crystaller looked down at Shining and as he too crawled out of the bed he whispered to his fellow colt. “Hey, Shiny, wha ya doing? Can’t sweep?”
The little colt squeaked in surprise, plopped onto his soggy diaper and looked around with a pout. “Sunny! Stop it! I was…um…” He trailed off, not wanting to admit he’d wet himself.
Sunburst looked down at the soaked diaper and smirked as he gave it a few pokes. “Looks like ya pee pee in ya diapee, Shining. Didn’t wanna get up fow the potty?”
Shining growled and snapped back. “Stop it, Sunny! Ya pee pee in ya nighttime diapee too!”
Sunburst looked down at his own soggy diaper and blushed, realizing Shining was right. “Yeah. Wooks like we bedwetters again. Can’t bewieve it, I haven’t done tat since I was fouw.”
Shining rolled his eyes. “But we not fouw, Sunbuwst. At weast, ouw bodies awen’t. So, wha do we do? Do we changie ourselves, or go get Cady to changie us?”
Sunburst stood up and proclaimed. “Weww, how about we change ourselves? I wouldn’t want to bother Cady. Especially aftew we told hew we didn’t need the potty.”
Sunburst nodded as Shining went over to the pull-up drawer (which rested at the bottom of the changing table) and pulled out two thick night-time pull-ups. “Got em!” He declared, holding up the undergarments.
“Gweat!” Sunburst declared as he then laid down and gulped. “Uh…you know what ya doing?”
Shining nodded. “Yep, just sway still. I pwomice this’ll be over quick,” Despite having some experience with Flurry Heart, the prince’s clumsy hooves struggled to tape up the pull-up. It ended up lopsided and he smoothed his hoof down, making sure it was snug. “There, wha ya tink? I did good, wight?”
Sunburst waddled around a little as he got used to the thickness of his pull-up. It seemed that it fit well and he blushed. “Wow, ya did a good job. But ya forgot two things: One is baby powder. If I pee again, I gonna get a big wash.”
Shining pouted as he took the powder and dumped a whole bunch of it into Sunburst’s diaper. Sunburst squeaked and started bouncing about. “Hey, stop tat! Is too much!” He shook about making clouds of foal powder as Shining burst into fits of laughter.
The colt with a coat of orange turned and growled, then smirked seeing a thick pink diaper in the diaper bag. He turned to Shining. “Otay. Now is my turn to change ya.”
Shining laid down as Sunburst went about changing Shining’s soggy night-time diaper and powdered Shining’s rump. He then strapped the regressed stallion up in the pink diaper before Shining realized it.
When he did he squeaked. “Hey!” He growled, trying to untape the pink diaper as Sunburst kicked about laughing. Shining unstrapped the diaper and furiously shouted. “Tat’s it! I gonna spankie you, Sunbuwst!” He tackled Sunburst and they both rolled around in a flurry of foal powder. Sunburst broke into laughter as he ran off and Shining waddled behind, shouting! “Ya get back here! Ya getting punished!”
“Not if ya can’t catch me!” Sunburst taunted as he stuck out his tongue.
They chased each other through the halls for a bit, running past room after room.
“Sunbuwst, if ya dun stop, yas getting faw wose than a spankie!” Shining threatened.
But Sunburst only replied. “Ya not gonna spankie me, ya too soft! I seen Fwurry walk aww over ya!”
“I do not! I gwounded hew when she got into the chocolate pudding!” Shining snorted.
“Cause you weren’t watching hew!” Sunburst giggled in delight. “My momma nevew made tat mistake! She nevew wet me get away with anyting!”
Just then, who should stumble out into the hallway but Cadence with her mane all frazzled? Despite her noticeably sleepy state, she still gave an angry stare as she demanded. “What are you two doing up this late? You’re supposed to be asleep.”
Both colts stopped and whimpered, too scared to say a word.
The princess of love just sighed as she lifted both colts with her magic and scolded them. “You two are going to wake up the little fillies. I told you to come get me if you needed something.”
Both colts whined, each trying to say whose fault it really was. But Cadence just scooped both up and quickly poofed two pink diapers around their rumps with magic locks on the tapes. “There, now no messing with your diapers until morning, or you’ll be wearing them to preschool.”
“But what if we do need to go potty duwing the night?” Shining asked Cadence.
The princess of love sighed and replied. “Come and get me, I’ll help you get the diapers off. If you try to mess with them at all, you’ll just make them puff up like balloons.” She then carried them back to their bedroom, plopped them into their beds, and tucked them under the sheets for the second time that night.
The colts both groaned but didn’t say a word in protest, for they did not want to endure such an embarrassing punishment.
A tired and exhausted Cadence just shut off the lights and slowly closed the door. “Four little foals are such a hoofful. I think I may need to call for backup. I wonder if Twily would love to help foalsit her ‘little’ brother? ” She thought, as she went back to the nursery to check on her two little fillies. Hopefully they hadn’t woken up and wandered off again, last time they’d flooded the bathroom with bubbles.
When the lights shut off and the two little colts now alone, Sunburst whispered to Shining. “So…uh sowwy abowt tat. I didn’t mean to get you in trouble with ya wife.”
Shining just sighed. “Is otay. But now we pwobably going to pee-pee our diapees and we’ll be changed tomorrow. Let’s just go night nights.” As they both drifted off, Shining hugged his plushie Brutus Force.
The next morning, Cadence came into the nursery and cheerfully cooed. “Good morning, little ones!” Both colts slowly crawled out of bed, but squeaked upon seeing Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop on the carpeted floor. “Hope you don’t mind, I wanted to make sure all my foals stay close to me at all times,” She explained, then took both colts into her magic and checked their diapers. When she got to Sunburst she cooed. “So, Sunburst, I noticed you used the potty last night.”
Sunburst blushed and nodded. “Yeah, I did. Before... uh I and Shiny got into a fight.” He decided to leave out the part about the change from before Cadence had woken up.
Cadence changed Sunburst out of his pink diaper and into a pair pull-ups and a cute t shirt with a smiling sun printed on it. But then she took Shining and placed him into a thick diaper with little shields printed on it.
The regressed prince pouted and whined. “Why do I gots to be in a diapee? Tats not fair!”
Cadence (who was checking the seams of the diaper to make sure it was snug) explained. “Well, today your caretaker is taking you all on a field trip and I would rather you be protected. Since Sunburst was able to use the potty last night, I’m more confident he knows when he has to go. You seem to be a bit of a slow learner, so I don’t want to risk you leaving puddles. If you’re good about using the potty though, we can see about putting you into pull-ups later.”
They were then placed back on the ground as Cadence walked over to the calendar, placed a sunshine sticker on it, and smiled as she explained. “Sunburst, you’re doing very well, only a few stormy clouds. I think you’re ready to age up a little,” The alicorn levitated over the potion, gave him a drop of it, and watched as he started to grow a little (roughly six months).
Sunburst became a little bit taller and the pull-up tightened as he bounced around the place. Shining just pouted and crossed his hooves in jealousy.
Cadence looked over at her jealous husband. “Shiny, don’t be a pouty baby. I know you’re still learning, okay? You’re still doing pretty well all things considered. From what your mom told me, this was normal for when you were potty training.”
“Normal for late blooming preschoolers. ” Shining thought, as he just grumbled and walked off. He’d hoped he would be the one to graduate first.
The two foals ate breakfast together, Shining trying not to act too jealous of Sunburst’s aging up. Soon afterward, they were helped into the carriage and rode to the museum.
During the carriage ride, Shining looked at Sunburst and asked him. “Hey, Sunnyburst. You better than me with potty training. Ya alweady got ta first drop of ta potion. Guess ya must be doing someting wight, or maybe I just doing someting wong.”
Sunburst shrugged. “I’m not suwe either way, so faw I just been good at not making pee-pees as much in my diapees. But if ya want I can teach ya a few tips, I stawting to wemember mowe.”
Shining nodded. “Otay, tanks Sunny. I owe ya. In fact,” He took out some candy he’d smuggled by stuffing it into the back of his diaper, offering it to Sunburst. “Hewe. I know tis ain’t much, but I wemember my pawents used to give me sweets if I was good at going potty. Ya pwobaby desweve tem mowe though.”
Sunburst took the unwrapped candy and giggled. “Aww, tanks Shiny. Ya ain’t such a bad pony. I’ww do what I can to hewp ya.”
They then got out their plushies and battled each other for a while. They were having so much fun that they didn’t even notice when they arrived at the museum entrance.
Fortunately, Cadence did. With a smile, both Shining and Sunburst were lifted out of the carriage and plopped down in front of the giant building. It sported columns in front with marble steps leading up to the front entrance.
The foals quickly got into line with the rest of the class, all jumping and shouting with excitement!
Nursery Rhyme turned to the toddlers and cooed. “Okay everyone. Now listen, while we’re here at the museum I need you all to be on your best behavior. So don’t touch anything, okay? Some of this stuff is very delicate, it could break if you touch it and then you’ll be in trouble. Understand?”
The foals all nodded but were anxious to get into the museum and see what was inside. Field trips were always fun.
“Alright, follow me everypony. This museum is quite big and easy to get lost in, so no wandering off.” Nursery Rhyme cautioned. The foals trotted into the museum after the mare, and they were all amazed at the statues and the giant dinosaur skeleton in the middle of the room that greeted. All of them gaping with awes and oohs.
“This is the carefully reconstructed skeleton of a spiney-backed ponasuarus,” Nursery Rhyme explained as she pointed a hoof. “The remains of which were found by a filly not much older than you are now, and in Ponyville of all places I might add,” The foals were quite impressed by the knowledge, and some jumped and down, wanting to touch it. Nursery had to pull them back and scold them. “Ah-ah, no touching that. There’s a children portion later on where you can play and touch things to your heart’s content. You’ll even get the chance to make your own art to take home to your parents, if you behave. Now come along, we have a lot to see. Next is something I think you’ll all be interested in, an ancient crib that was once used by the ruler of Griffonstone to hold his child.”
Nursery Rhyme continued to escort the foals through the museum, showing them sight after sight and priceless object after priceless object. As they were trotting through a gallery of paintings, Shining turned to Crystal Shard, who was waddling along behind him. He was also in a diaper. Shining blushed as he went up to the colt and asked him. “Hey, um Cwystal…can ya hew me with someting? Is kind of impowtant yet embawassing.”
The young colt turned around and asked Shining “Wha ya need hewp with?”
Shining sighed and just pointed to his diaper strapped around his rump. Crystal Shard blushed and whispered. “So ya mommy put ya in a diapee?”
The prince groaned. “W-well kind of. I had too many accidents and she was scared I would pee-pee on ta floor so she put me in it. But I want to pwove her wong, I wana go potty by myselw!”
Crystal Shard lifted his t-shirt showing off his diaper with the blue shields printed on the fabric, and he explained. “Yeah, is the same thing with me. My mommy put my diapee on me because I had a few accidents too, even though I was twying hawd not to.”
Shining Armor blushed. “Guess we got a wot in common. So ya gots to help me go to the potty if I um...need to go.”
The colt nodded, before he blushed and admitted. “Well, taking diapees off is easy. The hawd part is putting them back on aftew ya go. I once had a oopsie and tried changing myself, but I ended up putting the diapee on backwards.”
Sunburst (who had been waddling by and overheard the conversation) chimed in. “Don’t worry, I’ll be there to help. I can change diapees.”
Some of the colts and fillies eyed Sunburst and all asked in unison. “Ya know how to change diapees?”
Sunburst proudly rose up and proclaimed. “Yeah I can change diapees! I do it with Princess Fwurry Heawt all the time! Is easy!”
Crystal Clear scampered over and tackled the colt. “Oh, you so cool! Is thewe anyting ya can’t do?!”
Shining looked down, grumbling upon seeing how Sunburst was getting all the attention again. It was so unfair.
As they continued through the gallery portion of the museum and admiring the art work. The foals enjoying pointing things out.
Suddenly, Shining spotted a painting of him throwing Cadence at what appeared to be a dark, ominous cloud.
Crystal Shard waddled up to it and pointed. “Tat’s Shining Awmor defeating the monster Sombwa! Isn’t he so cool?!”
Shining Armor blushed a little. “Y-yeah, he weally is. But uh...this painting wooks a wittwe too unwealistic. I… heawd it was a wot different in weal life.” He quickly corrected himself before he could say something that might give away his identity.
Sunburst. meanwhile, was admiring a painting of the Crystal Empire and. “So many colors!”
Crystal Shard nodded and explained. “Yeah, it’s my favowite painting. My mommy told me it was made by a famous painter before, well…the dark times…”
Sunburst then asked the filly. “So, your parents had you after Sombra was defeated, right?”
Crystal Clear nodded. “Yeah, I was born only a few months after the big meanie Somby was defeated. I heaw he was a weaw poopie head too!”
“Alright, children, that’s quite enough of that,” Nursery Rhyme spoke up. “Sombra is gone, and we can all be thankful that he was defeated by Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor. Let us try to focus on the cheerful memories and let go of the bad ones.”
The young foals obliged, and as they continued onward many of the adult ponies visiting the museum that day were amazed at the parade of crinkling foals waddling along. Nursery couldn’t help but feel a little embarrassed at the attention she got. This museum was primarily for elementary aged children, but she believed it was never too early to instill in little ones a sense of appreciation for art and beauty.
Still, they continued their way towards the foal part of the museum undeterred. And it was here that the foals gaped in amazement at all the fun looking sculptures! They went about the place, admiring the art work. And some lined up at a canvas to take their turns hoof painting or drawing with crayon.
As all the foals bounced about and Nursery Rhyme occupied herself with keeping the ones with paint from running off, Shining groaned and pressed his hooves to his diaper. He began to feel the urge to go pee, but as he looked around the nearest bathroom was nowhere to be found. Not wanting to go in his diaper though, his only instinct was to come over to his friend Crystal Shard and whimper. “Uh, I gots to go pee-pee. Ya gotta take me to the potty.”
The little colt turned around and gave a nod. “Otay, come on. I saw some potties down the haww fwom hewe, but tey wooked kind of big.”
“Dun cawe, not gonna pee-pee my diapee!” Shining groaned as he accepted Crystal Shard’s hoof. With Nursery Rhyme busy chasing after a foal with paint still on her hooves, she didn’t notice them slipping away.
Crystal Shard led Shining towards the back of the hall to the bathroom, going off to the left side that read “Stallion’s Room”.
Peering into the room, they found several stalls which were all opened. Trotting into the nearest open one, the two little colts gulped as they looked up at the great white bowl shaped monstrosity that greeted them. Crystal Shard shivered. “Tat’s one big potty! Wooks wike a monstew!”
“Is not a monster! Is a toiwet! Gwown-ups use it!” Shining explained as he groaned, the urge to pee growing stronger by the moment. “Just hewp me get my diapee off, okay?!”
“Just dun wet it eat ya! It twied to eat me once!” Crystal Shard shuddered.
Shining didn’t listen, he was too busy fumbling with the tabs on his diaper. His hooves kept slipping whenever he tried to grab at them. “Darn it! Why they gotta be so sticky?!” He complained!
Crystal Shard just smiled. “Is otay, I’ll hewp ya! I been pwacticing magic!” The little colt strained as he lit up his horn, surrounding Shining in faint blue sparks. He helped take the diaper off and set it carefully aside for later. Floating Shining over, he plopped him onto seat of the big potty.
The seat of the toilet was quite slippery, Shining didn’t dare to look down. “There’s no such thing as a pony eating toilet monster! Right?! ” He told himself in his mind. Crystal Shard must’ve just been teasing him or trying to scare him. Even as a little colt, the prince had grown up with a sense of what could go down the toilet, and what couldn’t. He’d even tested it himself the first time he’d been left alone with the toilet.
The regressed prince shut his eyes and focused, soon hearing a loud tinkling sound. “Yeah, I did it!” He cheered! “See, Crystal Shard? The big potty’s not a monster!”
“But whewe’s that noise it awways makes?” Crystal Shard wondered as he lifted himself onto the toilet, nervously looking down at the bowl.
Shining just grinned. “See tat silver tingy ovew thewe?” He gestured to the handle. Crystal Shard nodded. “Weww, tat’s what makes the noise. When ya done using the toiwet, ya fwush by pushing it down.”
“Ya mean, wike this?” Crystal Shard asked as he surrounded the handle with his magic, pressing it down.
On cue, the toilet roared to life with an audible flush. But as Shining moved to get down, he slipped on the seat and fell in! “Hewp! I being fwushed!” He screamed, struggling to keep his head above the spinning waters!
“Cwoudy! I’ww save ya!” Crystal Shard declared as he rolled down some toilet paper! “Gwab the wope, quicky! I’ww puww ya out!”
Shining did so, grasping the toilet paper just as he felt the waters in the bowl start to recede and take him with them! “Huwwy!”
The little colt yanked on the toilet paper with his magic, helping the regressed prince out! He landed on the floor with an audible plop, shaking off the toilet water and showering Crystal Shard with it.
“Hey! Wha was tat fow?!” Crystal Shard demanded.
“Sowwy! But toiwet water is yucky!” Shining apologized. “At weast now ya now to be carefuw awound big potties.”
But Crystal Shard was smiling. “Wooked kind of wike a watew swide!” He eagerly commented! “Can we do it again?! I wanna see whew it wets out!”
“Trust me, no you don’t. ” The prince thought to himself with a shake of his head.
Just then, a very anxious Nursery Rhyme burst into the room! “Finally! I’ve been looking all over for you two naughty colts! What was all that commotion just then?!” She looked down at the soggy colts as they both whimpered. They knew now that they were in a lot of trouble.
A few hours later, the whole class was back out in front of the museum. Cadence was hugging Shining in front of her as he shivered and whimpered as he looked down at his hooves, getting ready to be scolded at. Not only had he wandered off but he’d also taken off his diaper, not to mention the close call with the toilet.
But Cadence just hugged him. “I’m just glad you’re okay, Cloudy. I was so worried about you! But I’m proud to hear that you went potty all by yourself, and in doing so helped another little colt overcome his fear of it..”
Shining beamed a smile of pride. “Tanks.”
Cadence cooed. “And for that, I think you deserve something extra special,” She dropped a little bit of liquid into his mouth, and he felt himself age a little. Now he was like Sunburst, six months older. He had less foal fat, but still looked chubby and cute. He bounced up and down with a smile, just as Cadence checked Sunburst’s pull-up. “Oh dear, a small accident. And so soon after graduating to pull-ups.”
Nursery Rhyme blushed. “I’m sorry, I should’ve planned better. There aren’t many bathrooms in this the museum. And with all the excitement I’m sure many off the foals forgot to use the bathroom, aside from our two very eager little rugrats of course.”
Sunburst just pouted and glared at Shining getting all the attention, while Crystal Clear hugged him and cooed. “Oh don’t worry, you’ww be potty trained befowe ya fwiend, I know it.”
Sunburst just grumbled. “Yeah, I know. But tis is taking fowever…” Then he stared at the bottle that Cadence had stowed in her bag as he smirked. “In fact I gots an idea to get potty trained faster than him. And if it works, he’ll know his place once again.”
chapter seven: Not out of Diapers yet?
The very next day, Cadence decided to reward Shining and Sunburst for their first steps towards being re-potty trained, so she took them on a stroller ride to a nearby park. Of course, she was quick to warn them. “No wandering off without me. And please tell me if you have to go potty. Your pull-ups won’t hold as much as your diapers.”
Both of the aged up colts pouted. “Cady,” Shining commented with a frown. “We’re at least three years old now! You can trust us!”
“Yeah!” Sunburst added. “We’ll be good. And even if we wander off, we’re old enough to know how to find our way back. I used to take Flurry here all the time before I got regressed, and I still remember all her favorite hiding spots.”
Flurry (stored in one of two foal pouches Cadence had strapped on) glared at Sunburst and babbled something. But now that both he and Shining were older they couldn’t understand anything she or Fizzlepop said. Still, it seemed she regarded Sunburst’s comment as a betrayal.
Cadence quietly laughed, lifting the older toddlers in her care from the stroller and placing them on the ground. “Nice try, mister, but you’re not old enough to be left alone out here. Once you’ve both aged up some more, then we’ll talk.”
Sunburst said nothing more, he just glared at Cadence’s diaper bag. He recalled from yesterday about how she had stored the potions inside it. And he knew about the princess’ tendencies to place the bag down. He was waiting for the opportunity to get inside, ‘borrow’ the potion, and turn back into a stallion. “I’ve waited long enough to get out of diapers! All I had to do was prove I had control, and I have that!” He thought to himself. This was even though both he and Shining were still dealing with bed wetting. Aging back up would fix that though, right?
But as Sunburst pondered on how to take the potions, Shining was glaring at the orange coated colt. He could tell what Sunburst was planning and asked the former crystaller. “So, ya gonna try taking the potion and drink it, huh?”
Sunburst pouted, crossing his forelegs in front of him. “Nah uh. I not gonna do anything like that.”
Shining rolled his eyes and just scoffed. “Oh yes, ya are! Ya is trying to change yourself back to a big pony!”
Sunburst stuck his tongue out. “I said I wasn’t doing anything like that, silly baby!”
Shining smirked and babbled. “I’m not a baby anymore, I used the potty yesterday and got to graduate to pull-ups!” Then he questioned. “But what if ya drink ta potion? You’re still not fully potty trained and will need diapees. You heard what Rebecca Pie said.”
Sunburst scoffed and rolled his eyes. “Yes, I remember. But if I only drink a little bit, I can be older than ya and be potty trained faster! Just watch!”
Shining proclaimed. “Well last night, I didn't pee pee myself once! So if I drink the potion, I’m gonna be okay. You won’t be, and this time you’re not gonna have me to help you.”
Sunburst just crossed his hooves and growled. ”Ya don’t think I’m gonna be the one who will be fully trained first?! Just watch me!”
As the two colts bickered, Cadence wasn’t paying attention as she was so immersed in the beauty of the park and the surrounding landscape, while also watching Flurry and Fizzlepop. She knew that her two little colts were making progress on being potty trained, so if all went well, she’d give them the full potion in a week or two just. At least, assuming she could get their bedwetting under control.
Just then, the princess of love saw Flurry Heart ‘s teacher passing by. “Hello there, Rebecca Pie! What are you doing here this wonderful morning?”
The caretaker turned around and smiled. “Oh, me? Well, I wanted a break, so I put in a time off request. When it got approved I figured I’d come here,” She smiled, looking down at the sleeping forms of Flurry and Fizzlepop. “Ah, I see the youngest ones are still sleepy. Not morning ponies, I guess.”
Cadence looked down at the sleeping foals and gave a sigh. “Oh, don’t I know it? It seems like they’re always most active at night, right when I go to bed. Did I ever tell you about the time they flooded the bathroom with bubbles? I mean, they had some help from a colt named Tinkle Spark, but still.”
“My goodness, how could they cause so much trouble?!” Rebecca exclaimed! “If that’s true, I can only imagine Shining and Sunburst were just as bad!”
“Yeah, they were. Just two nights ago I caught them picking a fight with each other, and had to send them back to their rooms,” Cadence sighed. “Thankfully, they seem to be a little bit better now. Shining even helped another foal overcome his fear of the potty.”
Rebecca Pie cooed. “What a noble thing to do. Still, I can’t believe you’ve tried raising all four foals all by yourself. However, did you manage?”
Cadence blushed and waved a hoof. “Well, I’m not saying it was easy because it wasn’t. These two have been quite hard to potty train. But it will all be worth it when they’re back to normal,” Then she turned towards a small playset in the middle of the park. “How about we sit down and talk while these two play?”
Rebecca gave an affirmative nod, and they led the foals over to the playset where the two were plopped down and went to go play in the sandbox. Meanwhile, the two mares sat on a nearby park bench and began talking with each other.
Shining Armor and Sunburst both started building sand castles, forgetting for a while about their earlier plans. That is until Sunburst looked over and happened to see that Cadence still had her diaper bag. But Rebecca Pie had her own bag that sat next to her, and she was the one who had initially been given Cadence the full anti-regression potion. Maybe she was holding onto it for safekeeping? He couldn’t be sure, for he had no clue what the potion actually looked like. Still, the little colt and smirked and turned towards Shining as he whispered. “Hey, Shining, Flurry’s old caretaker left her diapee bag down. Why don’t ya check it out with me? If ya see a blue potion, I think that’s the one that will turn us back into adults.”
Shining Armor (who wanted to be older) climbed over the side of the sandbox and waddled towards the diaper bag slowly, trying not to interrupt the two mares’ conversation. He didn’t want to find out what would happen if he or Sunburst got caught. Once he reached the bag, the regressed prince slowly dipped a hoof down into the diaper bag and peered inside, searching for a blue colored potion.
Unfortunately, he saw six blue potions varying only slightly in color. “What one is it?! Come on, Shining, think! You had to have seen something, right?!” He thought and racked his brain. Unfortunately, he couldn’t produce any memories of seeing the exact potion. So instead, he just took the entire diaper bag and dragged it across the grass. “Couldn’t find the exact one, there are six blue potions. One of them has to be the one we need!” He told Sunburst.
Sunburst quickly waddled over, grabbing three out of the bag while Shining took the other three. They then promptly walked around the playset, making sure that Cadence and Rebecca couldn’t see them. Neither mare could, the colts were in the clear for now.
Shining Armor then laid out the six blue potions carefully on the grass and tapped a hoof to his chin. “Which do ya think is the right one?” He asked Sunburst. “Any ideas? I don’t want to take the wrong one.”
Sunburst looked down at the potions, seeing that they were all blue. He gulped, trying to remember any detail that might be helpful. He seemed to recognize one. “Um...well, I think it might be one of the darker blue ones. We’ll just have to try each one until we find what we’re looking for.”
“But what if we drink something we’re not supposed to?!” Shining nervously asked. “What if we drink some kind of poison or something?!”
Sunburst rolled his eyes. “She wouldn’t keep anything really harmful in a diapee bag if it leaked or spilled it could get onto her foal supplies! Now come on, let’s drink one before we get caught!”
Shining and Sunburst both took one, and they drank a little. The effects kicked in almost immediately, the two felt themselves becoming older, physically and mentally. Soon they were school-aged colts, with their pull-ups having been torn off and reduced to little shreds of cloth. They squealed and clapped their hooves together. “We did it!”
Shining blushed. “But we're going to get into so much trouble when they find out.”
Sunburst shrugged. “And what’s the worst Cadence or Rebecca can do, ground us? We’re colts now, so we shouldn't be wetting the bed anymore. And that means we can become adults again very soon.”
Shining gave a nod. “Right. Now I guess we just need to the other potions away before we get caught. At least then we can feign ignorance.”
The two got up and made their way through the park. Eventually, they came upon what appeared to be a lost blue saddle bag. Sunburst sighed. “Thank goodness, it would sure look weird walking around with a diaper bag.” He placed the rest of the potions in the bag and set it aside.
Meanwhile, Shining, wondering where the bag might have come from running over to a clearing. From there he could see with his own eyes a bunch of school colts, all running about while laughing and playing on a nearby playset. “Sunburst, over here!” He motioned a hoof.
Sunburst trotted over, observing the vast group. The two recently aged up colts blushed, realizing they would blend in perfectly with the school foals, but they didn’t want to be included with school foals. They were ready to turn back into adults and didn’t want to have to waste time in school.
They turned around and were about to leave, but a strict looking unicorn mare with a chestnut brown coat and a curly reddish-pink mane and tail came over and with an angry look in her amber colored eyes, stood over the colts. They looked up at her, seeing her cutie mark depicting a ruler and gulped. She had to be some kind of teacher.
And indeed she was. “Well well, look what I found,” The mare sternly commented. “Two colts are trying to play hookey, I assume. Thought you could get away with it, didn’t you? Honestly, what is it with you kids today? Don’t you know education is a terrible thing to waste?”
Shining Armor stomped a hoof and shouted. “I’m not a school colt!”
The mare didn’t listen, she just took both colts by the ears as they shouted and kicked about in protest. “You look old enough to be in school to me,” She dragged the two over to the line, and her stern tone faded as she cooed. “Don’t worry, you two can just join my class until I figure out who your parents are. But if I hear you giving me any more lip, you’ll be going to the principal's office. Do I make myself clear?”
Both colts stared at each with unsure looks but continued to follow the class. For some reason, they really didn’t want to see the principal, whoever he or she might be. Maybe it was a side effect of the potions they’d taken?
The colts sat down with rest of the class in a room with only a single, solitary window to the outside. The teacher tapped a ruler against her desk. “Now now, children. Lunch recess is over. Yes, I know it’s a lovely day outside. But there’ll be plenty of time to play when school is over. Now open those arithmetic books, and let’s start on some algebra problems.”
As the teacher began her lesson, Shining whispered to Sunburst. “How do we get out of here? We can’t stay in class, we don’t belong here.”
Sunburst gulped. “I’m not sure...I mean, could we maybe just wait until we get out of school?”
Shining turned to the clock hanging over the chalkboard and growled. “It's twelve thirty, school here doesn’t get out until four! We’ll be here forever!”
Having overheard the comment, the teacher mare turned to the colts and commented. “Hey you two, stop talking. Focus on your math problems. If I have to yell it’s a trip to the principal for both of you. Now please turn your attention to the chalkboard.”
Both colts quickly went quiet and turned towards the front of the class. The teacher mare smiled and continued her lesson as the two colts began to write down notes.
They continued to write for some time. But before long, Sunburst groaned as he kicked about while feeling the urge to pee. He whimpered as he raised a hoof, waiting for the teacher to notice. But she didn’t, she was busy writing another equation on the board for the school foals to answer. Sunburst continued to hold a hoof up until the teacher finally noticed him, turned, and asked him. “Yes um… what is your name?”
Sunburst squeaked, realizing he hadn’t come up with a name for himself. He was too busy focusing on holding it in to come up with a really clever name, so he just spouted out the first thing that came to his mind. “My name is...uh...Sunny!”
The class giggled as the teacher cooed. “Well, Sunny, what is it?”
Sunburst squealed and asked. “I need to go pee pee, can I please use the potty?” He blushed hard as the rest of the class burst into fits of laughter.
The teacher just cooed. “You most certainly can. But first, can you answer the question I wrote on the board?”
Sunburst groaned and shouted. “A equals 12!”
The mare nodded. “That’s correct, but can you tell the class how you got that answer?”
Sunburst groaned, he didn’t have time for this game. Still, he continued. “To get twelve you need to minus the twelve on both sides of the equation from both the twelve and the twenty-four which creates the answer twelve for A! Now can I please go?! I think I’m gonna burst!”
The teacher gave a nod as Sunburst got up, took one of the bathroom passes and rushed out of the room. “Bathrooms are down the hall and off to your right!” The mare called out after him and turned around in time to notice Shining Armor gulp as he raised a hoof and asked. “Uh, can I go to the bathroom too, please?”
“Really? So you can hang out with your friend?” The mare questioned, suspecting something. Students had tried to pull this trick on her before to get out of lessons. “Well, like your friend you’ll need to answer a question. What about a history question: Who was it that saved the Crystal Empire from King Sombra?”
Shining scoffed. “That's easy, it was Shining Armor of course!”
“Sorry, but it was Spike the Brave and Glorious,” The teacher corrected him. Shining rolled his eyes and groaned in frustration. The teacher had some nerve springing that trick question on him. But the teacher noticed him visibly straining to hold back the urge. “Think you can hold it for another history question, sweetie?” When Shining nodded, she asked him. “What is Princess Cadence’s full name?”
Shining groaned. “It’s Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, now can I please go?!”
The teacher nodded. “Alright, you may go.” Shining quickly jumped down and scurried after Sunburst!
The two colts caught up to each other as they reached the bathroom down the hall, quickly rushing into the stallion’s room.
But both colts stopped short of the toilet as they suddenly found themselves peeing on the floor! It happened without warning! One moment they felt the urge to go, the next their bodies had developed a mind of their own. The yellow liquid pooled around their hooves and they both groaned. Sunburst sighed. “Looks like we both aren’t potty trained yet after all. Just think, if we were adults...”
Shining gulped and gave a nod. “We should turn back to toddlers, this was a bad idea. But we need to find Cady first.”
Sunburst tapped a hoof. “Well, we can’t leave the school by ourselves. Maybe we can find somepony who can take us to Cadence.”
“Good idea, but we’d better get cleaned up first,” Shining suggested and then blushed as he put a hoof to his stomach as it rumbled ominously. “Plus, I think I’m gonna do a poo-poo! At least I wanna do it in the big potty before I have to change back!”
“Alright, but make it quick!” Sunburst instructed. “I’ll wait for ya by the sink.”
The prince nodded as he quickly scrambled up to the seat and sat down, just in time! Mere seconds after he was seated, he felt something leave him and plop down into the toilet bowl below. “Phew, that was a close one!” He thought to himself as he hopped down and wiped himself with the toilet paper. He gave no thought to flushing, he was in a hurry!
Sunburst was waiting when Shining exited the stall. “Took ya look enough.” He grumbled as he turned on the tap and poured out some liquid soap. Both colts quickly cleaned themselves as best they could, then exited the bathroom. They felt sorry for leaving a substantial yellow puddle for the janitors to clean, but they couldn’t afford to spend time cleaning it up themselves.
Both colts continued on their way through the school, only to end up in front of a vast auditorium packed with ponies. On the front doors was a sign that said “ballet auditions.”
Sunburst smirked. ”I’m sure one of the mothers at the preschool will be here, come on.” He took out the saddle bag as they got closer to the entrance.
“How are we supposed to survey the mothers?” Shining asked. “We’re not taking ballet lessons.”
Sunburst just grinned. “I’m sure one of these potions can change that. Here, let’s try these!” They drank two light blue potions that Sunburst pulled out of the bag, and both smacked their lips. Then they squeaked as they slowly changed. Their manes grew out long, and their bodies became skinnier. When the transformation was finished, they both squeaked anew, seeing that they were little fillies now.
Just then, the teacher mare from earlier came over and exclaimed! “Oh my goodness, what are you two doing here?! Here for the auditions, maybe?!”
The two colts now turned into fillies both blushed and stepped back, as Shining squeaked. “No. We’re um... just, uh...”
The teacher cooed, not appearing to recognize them. ”Oh come on now, don’t be shy. But if you’re going to audition, you’ll need to be dressed for the part.” She led the two fillies to the back of the stage and had them quickly dressed up in cute little tutus and ballet slippers.
Then they were both placed in line behind a big, red curtain. Both gulped as Shining turned and hissed angrily at Sunburst. “I can’t believe that you turned us into fillies! Now we’re stuck in ballet for Celestia knows how long!”
Sunburst whined. “It’s not my fault, you were the one that said we should take a left at that last hallway! Besides, how was I to even know the caretaker would have a potion like that?!”
Shining groaned. “Whatever, now we have to embarrass ourselves for the sake of our cover. Just freaking wonderful. Why do I let you talk me into these things?” Then Shining turned around to see that it was her turn. The filly rolled her eyes and continued towards the stage, blushing as three judges looked up at him. The leftmost one asked him. “Name please.”
Shining blushed and whimpered. “It’s um...Gleaming…Gleaming Shield.”
The rightmost judge, a mare, looked up at “Gleaming” and asked her. “Can you perform for us now, Gleaming? I assume that’s why you’re here, is it not?”
Classical music soon filled the auditorium, all eyes falling upon the filly on the stage. Shining (as Gleaming) unsure of what to do twirled around and squealed, falling onto her rump. The judges chuckled and wrote down some remarks. Shining leaped and bounded, but it was sloppy as she tripped and screeched, falling head over heels again. He wasn’t much of a dancer, and ballet was a foreign concept to him entirely. The music stopped, and all judges shook their heads in disapproval.
The filly was led off stage and Sunburst came on as she squeaked. The three judges asked. ”Name?”
Sunburst gulped. “Uh, Sunflower? Sunflower Shine.” She then began to perform as the classical music appeared, twirling about with grace and leaving Shining stunned. She then leaped through the air like a bird, landed gracefully on one of her rear hooves, and spread her hooves elegantly. The judges applauded as one commented. “Well, little miss Sunflower, you were perfect. Well done!”
Sunburst skipped over to Shining and chirped. “Sorry, I read those ballerina books Flurry got. They were so intriguing, but I didn’t ever think I’d actually use the lessons in them.”
Shining rolled his eyes. “Whatever, I’m done being a filly. This was a bigger waste of time than being school colts.” They quickly went backstage and took the bag with the final potions inside it.
The two left the auditorium and quickly ran down the hall until they finally stopped to catch their breath. They gasped upon seeing “Kindergarten” printed over a nearby bright blue door, and they looked down at the final potions they now held in their hooves. Without saying a word, both colts nodded and drank the potions.
Soon the two were turned back into colts and then regressed back into the toddlers they’d been to start the day. They both squealed in delight. But the celebration was premature, the regression didn’t stop there! They both turned into tiny foals, unable to even stand on their own legs.
And just then, a giant, rather stout earth pony mare came upon them and squealed. “Oh wow, two little foals all by themselves! Where did you two come from?! Are you lost?!” Both foals blushed, unsure of what to say as they were scooped into the mare’s hooves and were taken inside.
The mare quickly took them across the room and to a changing table as she cooed. “Normally I don’t diaper my students, but I have two little foals of my own. And since I’m not sure how old you two are, I don’t want to take any chances,” She quickly powdered the foals and placed them both into thick diapers with alphabet letters printed on them. The other kindergartens turned around, some snickering at the sight of the newcomers in such thick diapers.
The mare placed the two next to her two sons, both of whom were kind of chubby themselves. They eyed the newcomers suspiciously for a moment, but then eagerly accepted them into their ranks.
The mare cooed. “Alright, now play nice while I go find your mother. She must be worried sick about you.” She departed, and mere seconds after doing so, one of the colts took out his pacifier and the other his bottle. They offered them to the two colts, telling them. “You can have them, ya pwobabwy need tem mowe than we do.”
Both Shining and Sunburst groaned and looked at each other, as Sunburst poked his diaper. “Just gweat, now we weawwy awe foaws. Cady is pwobaby gonna keep us like for a whiwe, ya know?”
Shining pouted and crossed his hooves, already dreading the entire experience. “I sweaw, Sunnybuwst. If we wost aww owa potty training because of tis, I am gonna put a whowe bottwe of foal powdew in ya diapee!”
Chapter eight: A Party for Foals
Both Shining Armor and Sunburst were now forced to play with the other foals until Cadence could come to pick them up. They indulged in a game of catch with a ball covered in foal drool. Shining sighed as he tossed it to Sunburst and grumbled. “So ya weady to be babied? Because if ya taught being a toddler was bad, wait until Cady gets hewe and sees us.”
Sunburst eyed the white-coated foal and threw the ball back at Shining as he retorted. “Weww I don’t tink this wiww be so bad, she gonna wet us pway in ta playpen with ya daughters. Besides, I’m sure we didn’t wose our potty wraining competewy.”
The little white colt just sighed and shook his head as he threw the ball back at Sunburst. “Well I hate to bweak this to ya, but Cady is most likely gonna keep us in diapees fow a while. And not just ‘cause she’ww punish us for steawing the potions.”
Sunburst rolled his eyes and growled, “I not going to stay as a foaw! Cady wouldn’t do tat!”
The foal prince scoffed. “Ten ya dun know my wife weally well. Ya weally tink she was okay with us tuwning into toddlers just because we can hewp teach Fwuwwy Heawt and Fizzwepop how to potty twain? She’s gots what they call ‘Mommy fever.’ and tat’s not even a wowd!”
Sunburst gulped as he whimpered. “Bu...but didn’t she wose mommy fevew after Fwurry was bown?”
Shining Armor gave a small nod. “She did, until Fizzwepop came into owa lives. Now she’s in mommy fevew ovewlowd. And I tink she’s gonna be that way tiw Fizzwepop’s in pweschool.”
Sunburst gulped as he looked down at the diaper, remembering how Cadence had been during her first bout of mommy fever. “I evew told ya how one time Flurry was crying and both me and Cadence woke up to calm her down? After she put ta baby ta bed she wawked me back to bed and tucked me in.”
Shining rolled his eyes. “Oh ya gots it easy. While she was pwegnant she would call me ‘Shiny’ and would even ask if I needed to go potty during meetings. It was so embawwassing!”
Two of the other foals burst into laughter as one babbled. “Oh yeah? Owa mommy stiw gots mommy fevew. She diapees up the class sometimes.”
The other colt nodded and as he looked down at the class, who were all watching with awe at the foals (who imagined the entire kindergarten class padded up) and they burst into laughter.
Just then, Cadence burst through the doors and turned towards the two colts as Shining sighed and laid down. “Get weady, Sunbuwst! She’s gonna wana punish ya by giving ya kisses.”
Sunburst eeped but was instantly swept up into her hooves along with Shining Armor as Cadence cooed. ”Oh you naughty foals, what am I gonna do with you?” She looked over them and sighed, ”I should be quite furious, but how can I be when you’re two chubby wubby foals?!”
The kindergarten teacher approached Princess Cadence and cooed. “Oh, you had two little colts as well? Forgive me, I didn’t know.”
Cadence turned around with a smirk and waved a hoof. “Oh, they’re not my foals. This is actually my husband, Shining Armor, and my elder daughter’s crystaller, Sunburst. They were regressed accidentally by my daughters. Now it seems these two drank a regression potion without my knowledge, and this is the result. Still, I suppose it could’ve been worse.”
The teacher gasped and whispered. “Oh dear, that sounds like a lot of work!”
Cadence looked down at the quivering foals. “Oh, I don’t think I’ll mind having two more foals. I’ll just tell everypony, Shining and Sunburst are on vacation. I’ve already come up with names for them while they’re toddlers, in case anypony asks.”
Sunburst placed his hooves over his diaper and whimpered as Shining just sighed and plopped down on his diaper. “Told ya, Sunny, she gots mommy fevew and it’s weawwy bad.”
The two colts were taken home and brought to Flurry’s and Fizzlepop’s nursery in their thick diapers. Rebecca Pie scanned them with her magic.
Cadence asked the mare. “So, Rebecca? Did they lose all their potty training? Are they going to have start all over again?”
Rebecca shook her head. “No, my potions are safe and aren’t volatile. Since I can’t make potty training potions, I also can’t make anything that undoes it. What your daughters did was a very advanced age spell, and when it’s done improperly it can lead to things like a lack of control over bodily functions. I can turn them back into toddlers if you want though. You said you gave them each one drop of the potion?”
But Cadence replied. “Actually, I was thinking that for their punishment they will be foals for a weekend. I’ll let them use the potty of course, but they're staying in thick, cute diapers so they have to ask me first. I won’t risk any mishaps like what happened at the museum.”
Sunburst turned around and groaned. “Ya wight, Shiny, she gots ta mommy fevew and she gots it supew bad!”
Shining (who was now being levitated over to the other foals alongside Sunburst) had a deadpan expression and he just replied “Eeyup!”, just as he’d often heard Big Macintosh speak.
Sunburst squealed as Fizzlepop was prodding his diaper with a curious hoof. “Hey, you gots a good bwand of diapee on ya. Why is it so thick?”
With a blush growing on his face Sunburst stammered. “I d...du...dun know. tat cwazy kindegawten teachew put them on us.”
Fizzlepop looked down at her blue diaper and groaned, “I wish Cady stopped getting these diapees. I mean, tey cute but they dun wowk too well.”
Flurry Heart fluttered over and gave a confirming nod. “Yeah, I agwee. I wanna get ta diapees Auntie Tia and Wuwu got fow us.”
Shining (who was still being held by the magic) just grumbled. “Well, Cady wikes tose diapees because tey easy to cwean.”
Flurry crawled over and asked. ”Can ya get us ta one ya got on, pwease?! They wook supew comfy.”
Shining (now upside down due to his daughter’s magic) squealed. “Alwight, alwight, I pwomice! Now pwease put me down!”
Flurry obeyed and slowly let Shining plop onto the ground with his diaper, causing Cadence to chuckle. “What was that all about, Shining?”
Shining just rubbed his rump and grumbled, “Flurry and Fizzlepop want bettew diapees is all. Tink you can get tem ones wike what Sunbuwst and I awe weawing?”
Cadence grinned. “Well I’ll think about it, but I also have a surprise for you all! Two very special ponies are coming to see you.”
At that both Princess Celestia and Princess Luna burst through the doors with big smiles on their faces and diaper bags strapped around them.
Both colts just gulped and whimpered awaiting for the oncoming cuddling from the princesses.
The princesses held the two little colts together pinching and cooing at them. Celestia smirked while lifting Shining up with her magic. “I can’t believe this little foal used to be my Captain of the Royal Guard. I’m afraid I don’t have any diapered regiments for my royal guards right now, though perhaps I could look into a peewee one for the little ones of guard families.”
Luna lifted Sunburst with her magic and patted the diapered rump. “Oh, I can’t believe this little colt once helped to save the entire Crystal Empire. How on earth could they be such adorable little heroes now?”
Shining, now getting fed up at constantly being babied exclaimed. “Pwincess Cewestia, ya know tis isn’t the first time you saw me in diapees!”
The princess of the sun smirked. “Oh yes, that’s true. I’d almost forgotten. You caught me while I was thinking about babies and I couldn't help but put a cute diaper on your butt. Fortunately I quickly took off it and we both agreed not to speak about it, until now.” She plopped Shining into her lap and stuck a bottle in his mouth as Luna did the same to Sunburst.
Celestia then turned around and cooed. “So, Luna what do you think we should do with these two? Maybe we should to go that foal’s birthday party with these cuties?”
Cadence grinned. “Sounds like a fantastic idea. Just make sure to keep an eye on them, they’re little trouble makers if I ever saw them.”
Luna grinned. “Well, since nopony can know who these two really are and it’ll look weird for them to be cared for by the princess of Equestria, I think I have an idea on how we can go to the party without attracting attention,” She lit her horn and let tendrils of magic wrap around her body as she slowly transformed herself. The mare's body soon became that of a dark blue crystal pony with a light blue mane, and dark velvety eyes. The mare tossed her mane and cooed. “Meet Clear Night.”
Celestia laughed as she commented. “Well, well, Luna. You look quite flattering as a crystal pony if I do so myself. Now it's my turn!” And lighting up her horn, she turned herself into a white coated crystal pony as she smirked. “Meet Sunshine.”
The disguised princesses turned to the two little foals and both groaned as they were picked up and were placed into strollers.Then they were pushed out into the streets of the Crystal Empire.
“Have a good time!” Cadence waved a hoof.
The two regressed colts soon found themselves at a birthday party with mothers and their foals playing about in the house. But the sounds were mostly foalish babbling and playing as Shining and Sunburst were seated in the laps of both Celestia and Luna (who were chatting with the other mothers).
The colts had bottles in their mouths and were kicking about in sodden diapers, unable to ask even to go potty with bottles full of formula, not that they were sure they’d even be allowed to without Cadence.
Just then they happened to look over and saw their friends Crystal Shard and Crystal Clear! Both were chasing each other until they spotted the foals as they came over. Both Shining and Sunburst whimpered as the two came up, and Crystal Shard asked. “Oh are ya Sunny Day and Cwoudy Day?!”
They whimpered as Celestia turned and explained. “Yes they are. They had a little bit of a magical incident regressing them. They’ll be fixed soon enough. But for now, they’re staying as babies as punishment!”
The two giggled as Crystal Clear looked at Sunburst and cooed. “Oh, he’s even cuter as a baby. Can we pway with tem?”
The two disguised princesses gave a nod of approval and after changing Shining and Sunburst allowed the two foals to be taken to the playpen. “Play nice, you two.” Luna instructed.
Shining and Sunburst groaned as Crystal Shard stood over Shining. “Wooks wike I owdew then ya now. Ya know what tat means, wight?” He then took Shining and dressed him in a purple dragon costume that looked a lot like Spike as the young colt explained. “Your ta big meanie dragon, and I ta gweat knight twying ta save ta princess!”
Crystal Shard raised a foam sword and whacked at Shining, who got up on his hind legs and growled, “I am a big, scawy dwagon! Grrr! I wiww eat you!” He waddled forward with his cute little tail wiggling and hooves in the air. He was glad the costume covered his face, no one could see him blush.
Crystal Shad took some jabs with his foam sword into the pudgy belly of Shining, the purple dragon. The little colt dramatically fell over, then plopped onto his diaper with a face of confusion as he squeaked and pressed his hooves over his diaper. Suddenly, he squealed as a hiss echoed throughout the room. “Oh no! I completely forgot about the formula I drank! ” He thought, ashamed that it had never crossed his mind to ask to go potty.
All the mothers just dawwed at the adorable scene as Crystal Shard raised his foam sword in triumph. “I swayed ta wittwe dwagon and made him pee pee his diapee! I am victowius!”
Shining pouted as he charged and tackled the crystal colt! Crystal Shard squeaked in horror as his diapered front turned a deep yellow. The colt’s mother cooed. “Oh my, Crystal Shard. Looks like the little dragon made you pee too. Guess you were having too much fun, soggy pants.”
Crystal Shard roared as he stood up, attacked Shining, and they continued their cute struggle.
Meanwhile, Crystal Clear had dressed up Sunburst into old fashioned foal clothes with a frilly blue foal bonnet, an onesie with a lovely little white blouse with blue frills, and his diaper poking out through the fabric.
The colt groaned while trying to walk, but the fabric and his peripheral vision made him fall down and plop onto his rump.
The other mothers dawwed at the adorable scene as Crystal Clear explained. “Tese awe foaw cwothes from wha my mommy cawws ta cwassical era. Tey designed for comfowt.”
Sunburst pouted and crossed his forelegs as he. grumbled. “Tis is so stupid! Why would any foal wear tese stupid cwothes?!”
The filly cooed. “I towd ya, tey were designed for comfowt and had a cwassy wook.”
Sunburst got up with a pout and shouted. “Weww, I not an owd foaw! I dun need these siwwy cwothes!”
Crystal Clear pouted as she growled. “Ya shouwd wespect ta past, Sunny! Those cwothes were fwom my gweat gwandma when she was my age!”
Sunburst squeaked out in horror. “Tese awe fiwwy cwothes!” He started trying to pull them off his body, despite the booming laughter coming from the mothers. He looked up, blushing as Celestia picked him up with her magic and nuzzled him. ”Oh, you just look adorable in that cute little outfit. Like a doll!”
Sunburst kicked and fussed about before a blue pacifier with a sun for a mouth guard was plopped into his mouth. The colt groaned and reluctantly accepted it as it bobbed up and down in his mouth. The mothers all dawwed and took pictures, while all Sunburst could do was whimper and suckle his pacifier nervously.
Shining Armor finally was able to get up from his struggle with Crystal Shard and turned to see Sunburst getting all the attention from the mares.
Luna then picked up Shining with her magic and cooed. “Oh, what’s wrong? Do you want some attention too, cute little Spikey Wikey?”
Shining shook his head and tried to shout. “No! I fine! I just wana pway!” But his kicking about made his diaper rustle and his cute little tail wiggle, making some of the mares come over to him. Shining groaned and squealed as a pacifier with a moon mouth guard was placed into his mouth, before he was picked up by Luna.
“Let’s get you changed, Spikey Wikey, then you can play some more.” Luna teased. All Shining could do was fuss and kick about in protest. At least the change itself was quick, Luna effortlessly removed and balled up the soaked diaper for disposal, wiped Shining down thoroughly, and placed him in a new diaper with several helpings of fresh foal powder.
When Shining returned he could already see several of the mothers taking turns pinching Sunburst’s cheeks and cooing over him, and the foalified prince resigned himself to a fate he saw he was powerless to stop.
“Hey, Cwoudy,” Crystal Shard spoke up during a brief lull on the cooing and fawning. “When ya tuwn back to nomaw next week, ya gonna be attending the pweschoow again?”
Shining nodded. “Yeah, why ya ask?”
Crystal Shard whispered. “‘Cause thew’s someting about ta potty I wanna ask ya about. I may need ya hewp on it.”
“I’ll tink about it, Cwystaw Shawd,” Shining answered. “I gots to suwvive mommy fewew fiwst!”

Chapter Nine: A foalish adventure in Spike's Land
When the party ended later that night, Shining and Sunburst were brought back to the Crystal Empire, tired from a fun day of play. The two little colts snuggled under their sheets in their nursery.
Shining was the first to wake up and sighed seeing that he was now in a crib with wooden bars and a bright blue blanket, with a little stuffed moon and his Brutus Force doll. He had a pretty good idea why he’d woken up and a familiar damp sensation confirmed it, he’d wet himself. The regressed prince looked down at the stuffed moon with a glare. The idea was that if he needed something he was to press the plushie and Luna would come by to check on him. It was sort of like a foal monitor.
But looking down at his yellowed, soggy nighttime diaper, Shining became too embarrassed to show Luna he’d wet his diaper…again! He would just change himself. He looked across the room to see Sunburst was up looking down at his own soggy diaper.
Shining crossed his forelegs and grumbled. “Tis is so stupid. I mean, honestwy, Cady gone too faw with these cwibs.”
Sunburst sighed and shook his head. “Yeah, but we awe foaws and tey dun wan us going off by owasewves. We couwd get booboos.”
Shining rolled his eyes. “I neva gets booboos! I Captian of ta Woyaw Guawd!”
Sunburst sighed as he crossed his hooves with a pout. “Bu ya keep fowgtetting tat ya one now.”
Shining turned around and corrected Sunburst. “One and a half! Ta potion wegwessed ta hawf owa age, bu we stiww gots owa potty twaining.”
Sunburst sighed. “Wook, I gonna caw Wuna to come change us, otay? It’s not tat big of a deaw. Foaws do it aww the time”
Shining Armor shouted. “Dun do tat, Sunbuwst! We gonna change owawseves ten go back ta bed and act wike we didn't wet owaseves. Ten tey gots to change us back.” He then turned to the lock on top of his crib and grunted as he focused his energy, flipping the lock and lowering the bars of his crib.
Lighting up his horn, Shining floated himself with a shield around his tiny body and plopped down onto the floor. Sunburst got up, showing off his saggy diaper and grumbled. “Ya know how ya say Fwurry takes aftew Cady. Wew, I tink she takes mowe aftew ya. Tink about it.”
Shining stuck his tongue out. “Oh yeah? Wew if tat’s ya case ya can get changed wike a wittwe babby whiwe I become a big pony again.”
But before Shining could do anything, a familiar voice cooed. “Oh my. Looks like I caught a naughty foal sneaking out of his crib,” Both colts turned to see the familiar form of Princess Luna standing over them. The two colts whimpered, unsure of what to do. But Luna lifted Shining Armor (still in his soggy diaper) as she cooed. “I had no idea even at this age you had such control over your magic, Shiny.”
Shining crossed his hooves. “Wew, I not wike Fwuwwy. I dun make messes.”
Sunburst burst into laughter. “Ya exactwwy wike Fwuwwy Heawt! Ya sneak off, ya ta one who got us in twobwe with ta magic potions, and ya awso wuv to sneak candy and cookies into ya diapee dwaew.”
Luna smirked as Shining’s face was flushed a deep red. “Sunbuwst, you pwomiced not to teww! And so wha?! Even if tat’s twue she’s stiww cuwiows and feawwess, wike me!”
Luna gave Shining a glare as she commented. “Well, I for one would like to see your little stash. Celestia and I noticed there were cookies missing, but I didn’t expect you to be the thief. You should know better.” Shining sighed, seeing that he was caught. He reluctantly waddled over to the diaper drawer and lifted some of the diapers showing a hidden, false board. He removed it showing a stash of cookies, and candy.
Luna was surprised and whispered. “My goodness, you’ve been busy. Were you planning to sneak some sweets on the side?” She lifted the candy and cookies and as she did so she cooed. “I’m going to have to tell Cadence about this naughty behavior, she won’t be pleased,” Shining crossed his hooves with an adorable pout as Luna laid him and Sunburst down on the changing table. “But before I do that, I’m going to need to do another diaper change.”
The night princess then used her magic to strip them of their soggy diapers and placed them back into thick, cute, night time diapers. After that she placed them both back in their cribs to sleep as Luna turned her attention to Shining. “Now, I won’t tell Cadence about your little stash. But in return I need a promise from you that you’ll stay in your crib for the rest of the night.”
Shining sighed. “Fine, I pwomice.” Luna then kissed him on the forehead and left the room.
After Luna had left, Sunburst turned to Shining and blushed. “Sowie, I didn’t mean ta get ya into twobwe.”
Shining just snuggled under the blankets, hugging Brutus Force doll as he grumbled. “Just get some sweep, poopie head.”
Sunburst shrugged as he fell back under the covers.
The next morning Shining Armor and Sunburst were placed in the fillies’ nursery to play together. They were still groggy from last night though, so they were only playing with their own toys.
Sunburst turned to Shining (who was still pouting) and whispered. “Awe ya stiww mad at me? I said I sowie. What ewse do you want me ta do to make up fow it?”
Shining looked up. “Wew...how about we buiwd a towew and show it to ta big ponies? Ten tey gots to wet us go pway somewhewe mowe fun ten hewe.”
Flurry clapped her hooves and flapped her wings in excitement. “Tat sounds wike a good idea! Wets buiwd the biggest towew evew!”
Soon the four foals were all building a tower together out of giant foam blocks. Shining Armor was holding the tower with his magical shield, while Fizzlepop was busy trying to keep Sunburst afloat, holding him with her magic over the top of the tower while he tried to stack blocks onto each other.
Flurry Heart was busy digging through the chest, trying to find foam blocks. Whenever she did sh slowly dragged them one by one out from the chest. She set the blocks aside and turned to see the struggles her friends were having trying to keep the tower all together.
It looked like a wobbling mess of blue foam blocks as Shining shouted. “Somepony go get ta pwincesses! Tey need ta see owa towew!”
Flurry Heart was grunting as she exclaimed. “No! Dun go just yet! We need to make sure that the towew is as big as it can get!”
Sunburst whined. “But we aww using what’s weft of owa magic, we can’t hold on much longew!”
Flurry gave a nod as she rushed over, floating the blocks and throwing them at Sunburst. Sunburst grabbed them with his hooves and stacked the last few blocks, having them be right at the top of Shining’s shield. But the poor colt was quivering as his magic wasn’t strong enough to hold the blocks together for much longer. Fizzlepop herself was struggling to hold onto Sunburst, who was now floating over the top of the tower.
Flurry realized she didn’t have much time, and scurried out the door to go get the adults!
She flew down the hall on her giant wings, soon finding Cadence, Celestia and Luna all having tea and talking in the dining room. Flurry flew over and grabbed at Cadence’s hoof, pointing it down the hall. The Princess of Love was a bit confused but she (alongside her aunts) followed the little filly down the hall.
They eventually came to the little filly’s nursery and opened it up to see the giant tower of foam blocks, and the mares all gasped with astonishment at seeing how intelligent the foals were! They had to be pretty smart to create such a massive tower.
But just then, the strength of Shining’s magic failed as the shield dissipated with a pop! This made Fizzlepop lose her concentration, as she dropped Sunburst and the tower of foam blocks fell over and collapsed!
Flurry and Fizzlepop’s horns soon lit up (as did Shining and Sunburst’s), changing the foam blocks into thick diapers.The foals all fell into the crinkling padding, and the mares burst into laughter seeing the foals digging themselves out of the sea of diapers.
Cadence took Shining into her hooves and gave his diapers a few pats, finding it dry. “Oh, you’re such a cute little foal, Shining! Yes you are! Yes you are! I think you want to stay in diapers forever!”
Shining wiggled about and whined! “Nah uh, Cady! I can’t be in diapees fowevew! Besides, tat was just a magic suwge. I didn’ mean to tuwn aw tose bwocks into diapees! None of us did!” Shining pouted as the rest of the foals giggled.
Sunburst popped through the piles of diapers and shook about as one had somehow got stuck on his head. The mares dawwed as the little colt struggled to take it off, eventually doing so. Then Sunburst whimpered as he did a potty dance. “Um...can I go potty?!” He asked.
Shining whimpered, feeling the urge to go as well. “Yeah, me too!”
Celestia nodded. “Of course, little ones. And this time, Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop can watch. Children learn best by imitating their peers, after all.” She took the foals to the bathroom across the hall and plopped them down onto their potties. They both blushed as they sat there with all the princessess watching, as well as Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop. Still, they were eventually able to pee (and even poop in Shining’s case, much to his embarrassment) in their potties.
Shining shouted and cheered as he proudly stood up, the diaper dropping to his knees! ”I went potty! So tat mean we didn’t lose owa potty twaining! We haven’t had any big accidents, so ya gots to tuwn us back to at weast thwee yeaw olds!”
“We’ll see,” Cadence replied. “Remember, the agreement was that you needed to go a week without accidents. I can maybe overlook the one you had at the party, Shining. But only if you can go the rest of the week with no further accidents, especially after I age you and Sunburst up.”
Sunburst pouted. “So ya stiww keeping us in diapees? Tat’s so embewassin! It’d be easiew with puww-ups,” The orange coated colt then turned to Shining and asked. “Why did ya tuwn aw ta bwocks into diapees?”
Shining gave a deep blush and whimpered. “I dun know, I can’t contwow my magic suwges. My mommy even says tat one time I buwned off my diapee ‘cause I got so mad about someting!”
Cadence smirked as she cooed. “Well I’m glad you haven’t done that this time around,” Then she declared. “Now, I think there’s one more thing we need to do before you get the next helping of the potion,” She then showed them a little pamphlet. “There’s this adorable little pizza place call ‘Spike’s Land’. They just opened up and they have pizza, games, and a ball pit. All your friends are going to be there.”
Shining whined. “Bu can’t we go as toddwers, pwease? It’s so embewassin staying as babies!”
Cadence smiled. “Well...how about this?” She proposed. “If you can do this one thing for me for the rest of the day, I’ll turn you two into kindergarteners and put you in pull-ups for the rest of the week,” Both foals blinked with surprise as she continued. “Both of you have shown that you are almost fully potty trained and at this point the only real issue is bedwetting. That’s something that most foals eventually grow out of. And at the end of the week, if you don’t have anymore accidents after you’re aged up, you can both become adults again.”
“Does tat mean the big potty wiww come back? Fuwwy and Fizzwepop made it vanish by accident.” Shining commented.
Cadence nodded. “Rebecca Pie gave me a potion that will undo the other side effects of the magic surge. Everything will be just as it was before, though I’ll keep your training potties for when we need to potty train Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop,” Then she added. “But in order for all of that to happen, you need to be cute little babies and allow us to change your diapers if necessary.”
Shining sighed as Sunburst babbled. “Yeah, tats a deaw!”
The other mares gave nods as Luna picked up Sunburst. “Well then Cloudy, let’s get you all dressed up for the occasion.”
Celestia picked up Shining with her magic. “Same for you, cute little baby.” She then started to dress him up in a foal version of the armor he’d worn as Captain of the Royal Guard. But the chest plate was now a purple onesie with a big cloud printed on the middle, with his diaper bulging through the onesie. He had foal booties on his legs and a cute, purple bonnet that loosely resembled his helmet. Celestia couldn’t help but take out a camera and start taking photos.
Meanwhile, Luna took out a cute dark blue onesie for Sunburst with a crescent moon covering half the sun. He had little black booties as Luna giggled. “Now you’re a little eclipse!”
Sunburst rolled his eyes as Celestia burst into laughter. “Oh dear. Sister, if you ever have foals, I feel sorry for them.”
Luna scoffed at Celestia. “Oh shut it, sister! Look what you did to Shining. He looks like if one of your guards was regressed.”
Celestia blushed hard. “Don’t say that out loud, I would never do such a thing!” Under her breath she added. “Except on occasion when I want to make an example out of them and practice my mother skills.”
Cadence chuckled as she was dressing her little fillies in pink dresses, and placing bows in their mane and cooed. “Oh stop, we all know you wouldn’t do it, Aunt Celestia. Shining would find those cute little diapers all over your room. Now come on, let’s get going. The party will start soon. We don’t wanna be late.” The princesses then set all four foals into two strollers, one for the fillies and one for the colts.
Luna carried the diaper bags as they set off for a final romp with the foalified stallions.
They arrived at “Spike’s Land” and both Shining armor and Sunburst groaned seeing that the play place was so gaudy in its design of purple and green splattered all over the walls and floor, with a big cartoon version of Spike printed over everything.
The place was crowded with foals, playing in a ball pit or around the games with flashing lights and sounds. The parents were chatting at the benches not far from the play area so the adults could still watch their kids.
Nursery Rhyme was there along with the entire daycare class. They all turned around and cooed. “Oh, that’s so cute! Look at those two!” Nursery Rhyme exclaimed.
The stallions blushed as the rest of their classmates were giggling at them.
Nursery Rhyme turned to the disguised Celestia and Luna, not recognizing them. “Oh, you must be their mothers,” She smiled. “It’s so great to see you. Your foals were excellent students and I’m sorry to hear they won’t be attending my class anymore.”
They both giggled as Celestia cooed. “It’s nothing personal. We both wanted to move to Canterlot for awhile and we left our colts with Cadence to watch them as we did some house searching. We bought a house together so these two can continue playing together. At this point, they’re almost like brothers.”
The mare gave a nod. “That’s an excellent idea! In fact I think you’ll be pleased to hear that they did very well in my class. Both can do their ABCs and count to ten,” She turned to Shining and Sunburst. “How about you show your mommies what you learned?”
Shining sighed, and sang the ABCs and Sunburst counted to ten. The class clapped as Nursery Rhyme took out some shapes. They pointed to each one and the mare nodded. “Well done, you obviously know enough to graduate,” Then she commented. “But it looks like you’re still just foals. Did you shrink or something, little ones?”
Luna blushed and explained. “They were a little careless with some potions and got regressed. We’ll we’ll turn them back to normal before we leave. But I have to admit I kind of wouldn’t mind keeping them like this.”
“Well, I hope they can at least visit every once in a while. Crystal Shard and Crystal Clear in particular will miss you.”
The colts whimpered at the notion of visiting the daycare again. But Cadence cooed, ”Oh, I’m sure they will be glad to visit. Maybe we can do it two or three times a year.” Both colts gulped not knowing for sure if Cadence wasn’t just joking.
After the embarrassing goodbye to Nursery Rhyme, the regressed colts were now playing in the ball pit with the rest fo the foals and toddlers, tossing balls and generally having a good time swimming around in them. Shining groaned. “two or thwee times a year! No way I gonna do tat!”
Sunburst shrugged as he popped out of the ball pit and babbled. “Weww, when was ta wast time eithew of us gots a bweak? I dun tink I’ve fewt so weaxed in ages.”
Shining rolled his eyes and turned to see that his best friend was swimming in the balls. “Weww, if we gonna make tis ta wast day we see owa fwiends as babies, ten wets make this ta best! Wets go to ta big foaw games and win some pwizes!” He pointed over to the prize counter where a teenaged Crystal Pony was busy handing out prizes to school colts.
Sunburst nodded and replied. “Yeah, I agwee tat we gots to win tose pwizes! Wook at tat big foam swod, it so big and coow!”
Crystal Shard popped through the ball pit and cried. “No, I wan ta big foam swowd! Is so cool”
The filly Crystal Clear turned around and hugged Sunburst. “Can you win tat Dawing Do book? I dun know how to wead yet, but I weawwy wouwd wike to have it when I be bigger, ya know?”
Sunburst’s face grew deep red as he gave a nod. “Suwe...I dun mind.”
Both Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop burst through the ball pit and they both exclaimed. “We wanna go win pwizes too!”
Shining rolled his eyes and threw up a hoof! “Ten follow me, we gots pwizes ta win!” He then saw that the ball pit had a huge, pink colored magic barrier around it, and he smirked. “Tis is a easy bawwier to bweak, watch!” He concentrated his magic as a little blue shield broke through the pink. Then he instructed. “Fwuwwy, shoot a beam of magic thwough my shiewd!”
Flurry nodded, doing as she’d been told! Now there was a hole big enough for all the foals to crawl through.
After they escaped the ball pit, the foals all first went to a dance game with a huge screen over head and four flashing arrow pads on the ground. They looked up at the screen and Shining scoffed, then the little colt turned around and explained to his friends. “Tis game is hawd even fow big ponies, but thewe’s a way fow us to win. Fwuwwy, ya go on the down awwow, Sunbuwst ya stand on the weft one, Fizzlepop wiww take the wight one and I ta top one. Cwystaw Shawd, ya knows weft and wight and up and down bettew ten aw of us, so caw tem out whiwe we pway. Ta west of us only hit ya button when he says it.”
They all took their positions as Crystal Shard looked up and saw that the screen was flashing “Tokens Please!” He commented. “Um, we needs token. We dun gots any.”
Fizzlepop turned to the coin slot and she grunted, zapping it with magic and making the game shout. “This game will start in three seconds! Get ready!”
Soon, the game started and the music blasted through the speakers. The four foals were bouncing on their pads as Crystal Shard shouted out directions as the arrows came through the screen. They were, however, quite disorganized and kept missing notes. Eventually only two tickets pumped out of a slot. They groaned in disappointment as Shining took the tickets and stuffed them away into his diaper for safe keeping.
Crystal Shard looked down in defeat, but Shining Armor patted him on the back. “Ya did a good job. Thewe’s tons of othew games we can pway that’ww give us mowe tickets.”
“Otay,” Crystal Shard replied. “And aftew we gets aww the tickets, I needs ya to hewp me in tha bathwoom.”
“Can’t ya just get a gwown-up to hewp ya?” Shining asked.
Crystal Shard shook his head. “Nuh. Is someting onwy a foaw wike you can do. Just make suwe we awone and unnoticed.”
The foals then continued to look for another game, soon approaching a skee ball game. Flurry smirked. “I got’s tis. Fizzlepop, shock ta game!”
Fizzlepop nodded as she grunted and zapped the token slot! The game roared to life.
Flurry then grunted, hovering the balls with her magic and began firing the plastic balls into slots. Some bounced off while others through the wood. This time, after the game ended a dozen tickets came out of a slot and Shining happily shoved them into his diaper.
Fizzlepop waddled over and hugged Flurry. “Good job Fwuwwy, ya was gweat!”
Crystal Clear blushed. “Yeah, she gots tickets. But I tink she made a oopsie.” They turned to see the craters in the game and plastic balls shoved into the wall behind it.
Flurry blushed. “Wew, uh...wets just go befowe Mommy comes and gets mad at me.”
All the foals agreed and quickly left to find another game to play. They eventually came to to a “Whack-a-Diamond Dog” game and Crystal Shard, Shining and Sunburst all got on top of the game.
Fizzlepop waited for shining to say “go!”, before she shot the game with her magic and the fake Diamond Dogs began to appear. The three colts stomped down and continued to smash them with their hooves for quite some time as a huge line of tickets were pumped out of the machine. They all squealed as they took the tickets, and all shoved some into their diapers. Then they waddled over to a giant wheel.
Shining blushed. “Those shapes and cowows on the wheew awe too smaww. I can’t make tem out.”
ButCrystal Clear was counting with her hooves and squealed. ”Wook! I dun know how to wead but I know tat ta green squawe gets ya five tickets with four zeros after it. Tats mean its a weawwy big numbew!”
The foals all gasped as Shining gave a nod. “Ya wight! We giots ta pway this game and if we do we can get ya tose pwizes!”
They all turned towards the wheel and Fizzlepop zapped the wheel as it began to slowly rotate. It started going faster and faster as it picked up speed!
Shining groaned as he saw a giant lever near the wheel. “We gots ta puww tat thing when ta gween comes up, but its supew hawd! Tats how tey get ya!”
Fizzlepop and Flurry both nodded as they whispered and nodded. They turned to Shining as Flurry shouted. “Fizzy and I will stop ta wheew with magic, but we might need aw ya hewp!”
All foals nodded as they grunted and used their magic might to slowly stop the wheel. bBt it caused it instead to snap and their power slammed the wheel to a stop with the green now showing! The slot machine nearby then began to pop out tickets in a huge stream, flooding the floor with the purple colored paper making the foals squeal as they jumped into the sea of tickets they’d just won!
But all the commotion also caused the parents to turn over, seeing their foals swimming around in the tickets. And they squeaked as they rushed over and grabbed their foals, scolding them. They also took the tickets as Cadence sighed. “Oh dear, it looks like our naughty foals were cheating at the games.”
Celestia sighed. “But the ball pit had a magic barrier. How did they get through?”
They turned to Flurry and Shining who were both blushing while adopting the most guilty, wide-eyed look possible, and Cadence shook her head. “Yep, that proves it. Flurry’s naughtiness is from her father.” Shining growled and was going to snap back, but Cadence Shoved a pacifier into his mouth.
Celestia sighed. “Well, we should give these tickets back to the manager.”
The foals groaned as Luna commented. “If these games could be outmaneuvered by a bunch a babies, don’t you think they deserve them? Even with all the tickets they’ve won, I don’t think they’ll be able to buy more than a couple of prizes. If anything, it’s our fault for not keeping a closer eye on the foals.”
They foals all peered up at Cadence with pleading eyes, and she reluctantly relented. “Alright, but any tickets left over are going back to the manager. And I’m paying for the highest amount of tokens you can buy in one purchase,” She then went over to the prize counter with the thousands of tickets and set them down. “We will take…”
Crystal Shard pointed at the big foam sword. “I wan tat!”
Crystal Clear blushed and asked. “Can I have the Dawing Do book. pwease?”
The attendant got the sword and the book and gave them to Cadence who turned to see a dozen packages of silly filly nighttime adult diapers. She blinked and asked the attendant. “What are those doing here?”
The teenage crystal pony blushed and stammered “Oh, those? I have no idea how those got there! We most certainly don’t stack diapers here.”
Cadence smirked, sensing that they had probably caused by a magic surge from the foals and cooed. “Well, I’ll use the rest of the tickets to take all of them.” She took them into her magic before depositing bits for the amount of tokens it would take to get over a thousand tickets.
Both Shining and Sunburst gulped, wondering if another magic surge may have made their lives even more embarrassing.
Crystal Shard (now brandishing his foam sword), whispered to Shining. “Otay, Shining. Befowe we weave hewe, we gots to stop at the bathwoom. Bu we needs a divewsion so ta gwon-ups dun notice us.”
Shining smirked, eyeing Luna’s diaper bag and Sunburst’s onesie. “I gots an idea,” He whispered to Crystal Shard. “Hewe’s wha we gonna do.”
Chapter Ten: Of Toilets and Diapers
Once things had calmed down in the party place, the foals were placed in highchairs sitting around a table as they ate cut up pieces of pizza on their trays. Shining and Crystal hadn’t been able to slip away to the bathroom yet. So for now, Shining Armor was sitting with his friend Crystal Shard, who was squirming, unable to control himself while whimpering “I weally need to go! I dun wanna go in my diapee!”
“Dun ya have a twaining potty?” The regressed prince asked.
“Weft it at home! Besides, ya powmiced ya’d hewp me in the bathwoom!” Crystal Shard complained as he whimpered some more.
Recalling how Crystal Shard had helped him use the bathroom at the museum, Shining knew he had to help his friend. “I’ww teww Cady, she can take ya!”
Crystal Shard shook his head. “I dun know if I can wait fow hew to notice! Besides, I feew betew with ya awound!” He pointed a hoof to all the grown-ups that were busy cutting up slices of pizza, Cadence busy with Flurry and Fizzlepop.
Sensing that Crystal Shard was determined to do whatever he wanted to do, Shining started formulating an idea. He looked across to Sunburst and snickered. He still wanted to get back at Sunburst for rating out his secret candy stash, and still slightly resented the fact that Sunburst had aged up before him.
The little colt turned to his friend and whispered. “So ya wewaay needs to go to the bathwhoom, huh? No pwobwem, I gots an idea to get you to ta potty without ta gwown-up ponies noticing. And ten ya show me wha ya needed hewp with.”
Crystal Shard turned and asked back. “So wha’s the pwan?”
Shining Armor couldn’t help but snicker as he explained. “Wew, I am famous fow somethin’ cawed ta diapee dance. Basicawwy, is wike ta potty dance except I dun have to go potty,” Then with a wink he added. “The diapee dance is whewe if my mommy puts too much foaw powdew in my diapee I do a cute dance in my diapee to shake it off. Ta gwown-ups aww watch me and coo, and tey can’t hewp it. Is ta pwefect distwaction.”
Crystal Shard couldn’t help but burst into laughter, kicking his legs as he asked. “How is tat gonna hewp us tough?”
Shining Armor continued to explain. “Weww, I not gunna be doing ta dance! I gunna sneak into the diapee bag, puww out a bottwe of foaw powder, and pouw it aww down Sunny’s diapee. And whiwe he dancing and distwacting ta big ponies, you and I go to ta potty. We’ww have to be quick though, tey suwe notice we gone befowe wong.”
Crystal Shard gave a nod and babbled. “Tats a good idea now wets get goin befow I expwode! I ting is gonna be a big one!”
Shining gave a nod as he finished his pizza slice. Then after quickly making sure the princesses were all distracted, he slowly lowered himself down and waddled over to Luna’s diaper bag, snickering with glee. He slowly waddled over to the diaper bag watching Luna and Celestia busy talking to the other adults about their cute foals. When he saw that they were too involved into their conversation, the little colt started pulling out the foal changing items from the big blue diaper bag. He looked through the diapers, powder, foal cream, and embarrassing onesies, tossing them aside without fanfare. “Leave it to Princess Luna to go overboard .” He thought, then he pulled out a big, pink colored bottle of foal powder and burst into laughter. In a matter of moments he was going to get his revenge.
As Shining waddled off with the bottle of foal powder he saw Sunburst. Sunburst waddled over as he asked Shining. ”Wha awe ya doing with tat foaw powder? Ya have an accident?”
Shining Armor scoffed. “No, I dwy and cwean. I was gonna use this powdew fow an awt pwoject.”
Sunburst rolled his eyes. “Yeah wight, ya can’t make awt out of foaw powdew,” He shook his head. “Ya gonna do somthin’ naughty and gonna get in big twoubwe. I know it.”
Shining Armor smirked. “Weww, Sunbuwst, I guess ya can say tat you’we ta art!” He then opened Sunburst’s diaper and poured the entire bottle of foal powder down into the diaper before Sunburst could stop him.
The little orange coated colt turned around and squeaked, that was way too much powder! He started to jump around, spraying foal powder all over the place! Shining burst into laughter and ran off as Sunburst continued his diaper dance.
Shining turned to his friend and waved a hoof as Crystal Shard slowly pulled himself down. They watched as all the mares turned and dawwed at the diaper dance Sunburst was putting on.
The two little colts then ran down the hall. “Come on, huwwy!” Shining instructed as he led Crystal Shard away.
“Ya the gweatest, Cwoudy!” Crystal Shard cheered even as he concentrated all his efforts on holding back his need to go.
The two colts were almost out of breath when they reached the stallion’s bathroom. Fortunately, the stall doors were all open so they rushed into the closest one. The two looked up and awed at the toilet above, despite having seen it already they were still impressed by the majestic, white, porcelian throne that stood before them in all its glory.
Crystal Shard proudly stomped forward and shouted. “Otat, big potty! I gonna use ya and noting is gonna stop me!” He turned to Shining. “Ya bettew come on up hewe! I may need ya hewp!”
Shining suspected nothing. But he gulped a bit, knowing he was going to be in big trouble later on for this. He could already imagine Sunburst ratting him out. The regressed prince turned to Crystal Shard who tossed aside his diaper. “Wun be needing tat!” He said, before sitting down over the toilet bowl, taking care to position himself so he wouldn’t fall in.
Crystal Shard relaxed, taking a deep breath as he started to pee in the toilet. Shining shouted in encouragement! “Go on, Cwystal Shawd, ya can do it! Show that big potty who’s boss!” The little colt did just that, grunting as he pushed out a massive poop! Hearing the plop as it splashed down into the bowl, made Shining squeal as the other colt smiled.
“Tat was easy! So now I guess I wipe and fwush!” Crystal Shard proudly declared. “Potty twaining is such fun!”
Shining levitated over some rolls of toilet paper. “Wemembew ta wipe with these! Is aways good to wipe befowe you fwush!” He pointed to the little lever.
Crystal Shard took up the rolls and wiped as best he could, depositing them into the bowl. The little colt then nodded as he eyed the lever. That was when he turned to Shining and told him. “Wemembew back at ta museum when I saved ya fwom gowing down ta howe?”
Shining nodded, remembering that close call with the powerful flush. Suddenly, he began to realize something. “Wait, ya gownna fwush yasewf?!” He gasped in horror, hoping beyond hope he was wrong.
Crystal pushed the lever down with his magic, watching everything in the bowl swirl down the drain and disappear. “I just wanna see whewe it aww wets out! It wooks wike it’d be fun!”
“Bu why ya bwing me in hewe to teww me aww tis?! I not gonna fwush ya!” Shining protested.
Crystal Shard just grinned. “Ya gonna come with me!” He adopted the most pleading look he could. “Pwease, jus tis once? I pwomise I wun fwush mysewf again aftew tis, and I’ww take ta faww fow ya.”
Shining was going to protest and say no. But just then he heard the cooing voice of Princess Luna call out from afar. “Where are you, Cloudy and Crystal? You’ve got some explaining to do.”
“Quick, no time to wose! Take off ya diapee and jump in!” The little colt told his friend, pulling Shining’s diaper down and tossing it onto the floor! Before Shining could protest he was knocked into the bowl by a hoof from Crystal Shard, and could only watch as the little colt surrounded the toilet lever with his magic, forcing it down!
The toilet roared as it flushed and Crystal Shard jumped in with a splash! “Hewe we go! Weee!” He cried with delight as the swirling, draining waters surrounded the two foals, taking them with it on its journey.
Shining, thinking quickly, lit up his horn and enveloped the two in a small shield of sorts. It took everything he had. “At least it’ll protect us from the smell. ” He thought as he then grabbed hold of Crystal Shard, right before the two were sucked down the drain and into the pipes!
Just as the toilet refilled with no traces of the foals anywhere, Princess Luna came trotting into the bathroom. She saw the diapers scattered on the floor in front of the toilet, but no sign of the foals anywhere. The princess of the night just sighed and shook her head, trotting out of the bathroom. “Clever foals. But you’re going to be in a lot of trouble for this.”
“This is wike a wattew swide!” Crystal Shard cheered as the two foals were swept through the pipes on a twisting, turning ride. “Whewe’s it aww wet off?”
Shining sighed. “Ya about to find out!” He pointed a hoof at a rapidly approaching opening. Suddenly, with a light sploosh the pipes ended and the foals plummeted into the sewers! The bubble bounced once as it touched the murky waters, then burst with a pop as both foals dropped into the muck rump first.
Crystal Shard stood up first. “Wow! Is tis whewe ya pee-pees and poo-poos go aftew ya fwush?”
Shining nodded. “Yeah. Is cawwed the sewews and tey vewy stinky!” He fanned a hoof across his nose. “Oh, I gonna be in so much twoubwe fow tis!”
Shard turned to Shining. “I sowwy, Cwoudy. But ya gotta admit the wide down was pwetty fun,” Then he looked around at the unfamiliar landscape. “Evewyting is so dawk and smewwy,” Then he shuddered. “Is it twue that awwigators wive down hewe?”
The regressed prince shook his head. “Dun be widiculous, tat’s just a owd mawe’s taiw. Awwigators wouwdn’t be abwe to suvive down hewe, it smewss wowse than dirty diapees. Now come on, we gots to get out of hewe!”
“How do we gets out of hewe, anyway?” Crystal Shard wondered as the foals trotted along.
The little colt simply replied. “We wook fow a dwain pipe ow a ponyhowe covew. The fiwst one we come to, we cwimb out of. Just wike those superheows I wead about in comics.”
So the two foals embarked on their very stinky journey, both wondering and fearing what would happen when they inevitably got found out. They’d be lucky if spankings were the worst they’d recieve.
At last, Shining’s wandering eyes spotted an opening. Light was streaming down from above. He gestuered a hoof. “Wets cwimb out though thewe!” He told Crystal Shard.
They slowly waddled over to the nearby ladder, their hooves clumsily grasping the sides of the ladder. It took a lot of stumbling before they eventually emerged back into daylight, a short distance from Spike Land .
“Hey, what are you kids doing here?!” A construction pony growled. “We’ve got to drain pipes to work! This is a construction zone, not a playscape!”
Another construction pony took a whiff of the foals and plugged his nose. “Dear Celestia, you two probably wandered off and fell down the open ponyhole! Where are your parents?”
“We… uh…” Shining struggled to explain the stiuation.
Fortunately, Crystal Shard stepped forward. “We got wost whiwe pawying and wewe tying to find ouw way back when we feww down the howe.”
The construction pony just sighed. “Well, we’d better get you cleaned up right away. And next time, don’t wander away from your parents. A construction site is no place for little ones to be exploring.”
The construction workers took the two smelly colts to a nearby house and explained the situation to the ponies in charge. They helped coach the construction workers on how to bathe the smelly foals and get them all cleaned up.
But the foals had one stipulation. “No need diapees! We potty twained!” The workers decided to take them at face value.
After the two colts were cleaned up, they trotted back to Spike Land where the disapproving faces of the princess met them. In the area adjacent to the playscape, Luna held up the discarded diapers and scolded. “Cloudy, I can’t belive you poured all that foal powder in Sunburst’s diaper and ran off with Crystal Shard. I understand you were helping your friend but that was really naughty. What’s even worse is that you both took off your diapers and ran away, you could’ve gotten hurt.”
Shining whimpered and babbled. “I know, I sowie. Cwystal Shawd had to go poopie and I pwomiced to hewp him.”
Celestia came over, putting the diapers back on as she smiled. “Well, you did have good intentions. It’s nice that you were willing to help your friend. But in the future, always ask a grown-up if you have to go potty so they can help you. Since it seems nopony got hurt though, Cadence, Luna and I all decided that your punishment is simple. Before we turn you back into a toddler you’re going to do your patented diaper dance.”
Shining eepped. “Wha?! In fwont of aww the foaws?!”
Cadence nodded. “Don’t worry, they won’t tell. If they do, they’ll get the same punishment,” All the foals around burst into laughter at the thought, and Shining squeaked in embarrassment. Cadence was now behind him and he gulped as she pulled the back of the diaper back. “You know what’s coming, sweetie.” She cooeed, pouring an overly generous amount of foal powder down.
The little colt squeaked in fright as the powder went down his diaper and he started to dance about, spewing foal powder out all over the room. It soon spilled out onto the ground as he bounced up and down, shaking his diapered rump. Everypony in the room burst into laughter, watching as he eventually stopped, plopped onto his diaper and grumbled. “Otay, I danced fow ya? Can you tuwn me back into a toddlew now? I weaned my lesson.”
Cadence obliged as she came over and gave the potion to Shining and Sunburst. Both grew up into toddlers as she cooed. “There we go. Now say goodbye to your friends.”
The two went over and hugged Crystal Shard and Crystal Clear.
“I gonna miss ya, Cwoudy!” Crystal Shard declared. “I pwomice, one day when I fuwwy potty twained, I gonna be a woyal guawd who’s not afwaid of anyting!”
Crystal Clear gave Sunburst a kiss. “Dun fowget about me, Sunny! Ya was wots of fun and supwer smawt! I hope I gwow-up to be just wike you!”
The group then left the pizza place and returned to the castle for bedtime. Luna plopped both colts into their beds and tucked them in. She then kissed them on the foreheads as she cooed, ”I hope you enjoyed your last day as little foals. Celestia and I will be going back to Canterlot, but Twilight is coming tomorrow!”
Both colts groaned and whined. “No!” Twilight was going to be an embarrasment for them on a whole different level.
Chapter Eleven: Twilight's Preschool
Shining Armor and Sunburst both sat in their nursery, building with blocks and waiting patiently. They were back in pull-ups, but were still required to tell a grown-up when they had to use the bathroom (as the toilet had not been brought back just yet, Cadence was understandably reluctant after the close call Shining had had at the museum).
The two colts were playing and trying to build a tower together, but they were dreadfully nervous as they waited patiently for Twilight. Sunburst sighed. “So, you ready to see your sissy?”
Shining Armor shook his head and grumbled. “I can only hope she’s too busy with princess stuff. I dun wanna be the little sibling in potty training, she gonna tease me to no end.”
Sunburst looked up and asked. “So...how bad do you think she’s gonna have, you know ‘Mommy Fever’? Do ya think it’s contagious? Celestia and Luna seemed to have it.”
Shining placed another block on the fast growing tower and sighed. “I hope not… I really dun wanna know what Twilight would do if she got Mommy Fever. But I bet it’d involve books on foal care, in this case potty training.”
But just then the nursery doors burst open and Twilight came rushing in with her wings spread out and a big smile on her face! She came up to the playpen and eagerly shouted! “Oh little brother, it’s so good to see you! You’re so adorable!” Twilight then lifted Shining Armor into her magi, and pulled him into a big hug. Twilight nuzzled the little colt and patted his pull-up as he squirmed about shouting “Twily! Put me down! I scared of heights!”
The now older sibling eventually did, before she turned her attention to Sunburst. She bent down to his level and poked his chubby belly as she cooed. “Ooh, look at you, Sunny. You’re just so adorable and chubby, what a cutie! I wish I’d brought Starlight here so she could see you like this.”
Sunburst kicked his chubby legs about and giggled. “Stop that, it tickles.”
Twilight cooed. “Oh, it does does it? Well then, guess I’m the tickle monster!” She proceeded to tickle his tummy with a wing, making the little colt roll on the floor laughing until a loud hiss could be heard. Twilight gasped as the front of Sunburst’s pull-up grew yellow, and she quickly apologized. “Oh my gosh, Sunburst, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean for you to pee yourself!”
Sunburst groaned. “Ugh, seriously? I was going good with no accidents! Now Cadence is gonna keep me in pull-ups even longer, I’m gonna be stuck in potty training forever!”
Twilight apologized. “I’m sorry, Sunburst. How about I change you really quick and this will just be our little secret? Just make sure you don’t have anymore accidents.”
Sunburst got up and chirped. “Yeah, that's okay! I probably should’ve said something sooner anyway, I old enough to know what makes me go.”
“Ooh, such a good role model,” Twilight chirped as she scooped up Sunburst and carried him to the changing table. “Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop could learn a lot from you, and Shining too.”
Shining pouted as he watched Sunburst be changed. “Hey! I didn’t pee pee myself like Sunburst did! I’m doing good too!”
“That why I was in pull-ups first?” Sunburst taunted as he stuck his tongue out. “You needed help from Crystal Shard to use the potty, and you got in trouble for it.”
“Only because the seat was so slippery.” Shining retorted and crossed his legs in an adorable pout.
Sunburst was quickly changed by Twilight, who moved quick as a flash. She’d foalsat the Cake Twins a few times while they were in the pull-ups phase (and sometimes they still needed diapers at night) so she was no slouch. Soon, Sunburst was in a clean pull-up and set back down. “Anyways, what do you have planned, Twilight?” He nervously asked even though a part of him was afraid to find out.
Twilight clapped her hooves together. “Oh, just you two wait! I have some fun activities planned for the two of you!” She then took out a big blue book with some letters, shapes, and colors printed on it. “I'm going to see how much you two learned in preschool!” She told them.
The colts both blushed, this would surely be an embarrassing experience.
“Now before we begin, you don’t need to use the potty, Shining. Or do you?” Twilight inquired. “Wouldn’t want you to have an accident like Sunburst did.”
Shining protested with a shake of his head. “Nope, I good, Twily. I’ll let ya know if I have to go. I not afraid.”
Twilight adopted a teasing smirk. “Really? Not even of the potty monster? I hear he just loves foals your age.”
“There’s no such thing as the potty monster, Twily!” Shining growled. Under his breath he added. “Though you can go down the drain if you’re not careful or just really curious.” Fortunately, nopony heard the added detail. His secret sewer adventure with Crystal Shard was still a secret, for now. And he intended to keep it that way.
Twilight simply giggled. “Ah, and here I was hoping to get a little payback for you making me afraid of ladybugs.”
“Like you never messed with me when we were growing up?” Shining complained. “I swear, even Flurry Heart’s better behaved than you.”
The young alicorn just laughed. “That’s not what I hear from Cadence. Apparently, you’re the trouble maker. She told me all about your little escapades at Spike Land, including you and Crystal Shard’s secret bathroom visit.”
Shining sighed and pouted. Somehow, the regressed prince felt for sure he was never going to live his foalish adventure at the pizza place down, especially when he’d been forced to do his patented diaper dance.
The two foals that were almost grad school age were taken from the nursery, their pull-ups crinkly a little but not as much as their diapers. They were brought to another room that Twilight had arranged to resemble a makeshift classroom, sort of like the ones at her school back in Ponyville.
“Let’s see how much your foalish tendencies still linger.” Twilight commented and set them on the classroom floor.
The first test featured two wooden boxes with different shaped holes. Shining and Sunburst had the boxes placed in front of them as Twilight turned around with a timer. “Alright, now the first colt to place all their shaped blocks into the box wins. Ready...set...go!”
The two colts began to shove the shapes into the holes, each trying to be the first to complete the task. They went at it as both Shining and Sunburst struggled to get the shapes into the boxes for some reason.
Sunburst scratched his head upon seeing that his star block was not fitting into the triangle hole. He turned to see Shining, who was trying to fit an oval shape into the circle hole as he whined. “This is crazy! Why doesn't it fit?! An oval’s a flat circle!”
Sunburst giggled as he looked down and gasped in realization. “Oh, this is a star shape. What was I thinking?” He put the star shape aside for the time being, then turned to see the triangle shape nearby and he picked it up and placed it into the box. “There, one down!”
Shining frantically looked up, and then back at his oval piece and blushed as he picked it up and placed it into the oval hole. Twilight giggled and congratulated her little brother. “Good job, Shiny. That’s the way to do it!”
Shining continued to place the shapes in the holes for a bit, but then he picked up a square and struggled to place it into a rectangle shape hole.
Sunburst, meanwhile, was on his last piece, watching as Shining struggled with trying to place his last cube. Sunburst then looked down at the diamond shape in his hooves and realized that he himself had been struggling to try to place it into a square hole. He giggled as he found the right spot.
Shining looked over and gasped. “Oh look, I got a square! Squares and rectangles aren’t the same!” He quickly found the square hole and placed the shape into the hole just as Sunburst did the same with his diamond shape at what appeared to be the same time. They both rose up, shouting at the same time! “I did it! I won!”
Twilight clapped her hooves together and giggled. “Oh, you both did very well. It was a tie! Lucky for the both of you, there are more tests where those came from,” She then got out the next test. She took out a few tubs of hoof paint, a red tub, a yellow tub and a blue tub and instructed them. “Now let’s see how well you remember your color mixes. Place a hoof in the two colors needed to make purple.”
Shining rolled his eyes as he waddled over. “This’ll be easy!” He declared and placed a hoof into the blue paint then the yellow paint. He started to mix them together as the paints turned green. Sunburst burst into laughter as Twilight blushed and cooed. “That was a good try, Shining. But we weren’t looking for green.”
Shining stepped back and whined. “I forgot what made purple!”
Sunburst then strutted over and mixed blue and red paint, turning it purple as he replied to Shining. “See, that's how ya make purple, silly! You should know that, your sister has a purple coat.”
Twilight giggled as she asked. “Now, who can make orange?”
Sunburst smirked as he dipped red and yellow together and turned it into an orange paint. Shining whined. “No fair, I didn't even get a chance! Of course Sunburst knows more, he got out of diapers first!”
Twilight turned to Shining and asked. “Okay then, Shining, this one’s for you. What is the color of your fur?”
Shining Armor looked down and blushed. He had to think a little before shouting. “Its white, like snow or a diaper!”
Twilight smirked. “Correct. Now for a real challenge, try mixing white and blue. See if you can figure out where the white comes from.”
Shining then placed a hoof and shoved blue all over his fur, squealing with delight as Sunburst growled. “Hey, that's not fair! He has white fur! He’s like a canvas!”
But Twilight turned around and asked Sunburst. “Well, how about you try painting yourself? Just don’t get paint into your pull-up or on the walls, Cadence won’t like that.”
Sunburst turned to the paints, eager to try out fur painting. Shining made it look so fun and easy. He picked up the red and yellow paints and started to smear them into his fur and mane, making it more orange. He squealed in delight! “Yay, I'm a sun!”
Shining turned around and proclaimed. “Oh yeah?! I'm like a big blue sky that the sun and the moon are part of!”
Twilight dawwed as she used her magic to summon up some sponges and buckets of water to quickly clean the two, then placed the paint away. “Okay. You’re both doing quite well so far. Now it’s time for the last little test of mine. It involves letters,” She then pulled the big foam book out from her saddlebags and showed them a letter. It looked pretty funny, it had a long line and a strange circle on the top. “What's this letter?” She asked.
The two colts both grumbled, seeming to have forgotten. But Sunburst suddenly rose up and shouted. “That's the letter P, like for potty!”
Shining poked Sunburst pull-up. “Or Piddle Pants, considering you couldn’t hold yourself when Twily tickled you.”
Sunburst growled and turned towards Shining. “Oh yeah?! You’re the piddle pants, Shining, you still wet the bed!”
“I didn’t do it last night, Sunburst! I stayed dry!” Shining boasted.
The little colt became furious upon hearing that. He’d stayed dry too, but Cadence had showered praise on Shining for also going poop. Sunburst hadn’t done anything all night and hadn’t even needed to wake up for the potty, but he’d gotten nowhere near the same level of praise from Cadence. “I was the first one to graduate to pull-ups! I’m the one who never wet the bed! ” He thought in his head, and those thoughts boiled over inside him as he shoved Shining down onto his pull-up. “You’re a poopy head, Shining! I oughta give you a royal flush!”
Shining toppled over from Sunburst’s attack. Helpless to get back up her cried and pouted. “Why you being such a meanie pants, Sunburst?!” He complained as tears started flowing from his cheeks. Then he tried to push back against Sunburst. “You’re the one who deserves a royal flush, and maybe a spanking too!”
Twilight quickly came over and separated the two with her magic, breaking up the fight as she scolded them. “That's quite enough of that! There will be no flushing or spanking on my watch, young stallions! You’re better than this, you’re supposed to be serving as role models for the real little ones for Celestia’s sake. Now you two behave right now, or I'm going to put you both in timeout! Do I make myself clear?”
Both colts stopped instantly and plopped down on their pull-ups. “Yes, Twilight. We’ll behave.” They promised, opting for a regular promise so as to avoid making Pinkie Pie appear. She was the last pony they wanted finding out about this.
Twilight, satisfied that she had gotten the little colts to behave, turned the page. It showed a picture of a plain, white diaper. “This is a diaper,” She spoke in her best teaching tone of voice. “Can anypony tell me what the first letter in the word is? Don’t be shy, this isn’t a test. You won’t lose points for a wrong answer.”
The two colts both looked at each other. While they no longer felt the need to compete directly with each other, they were still unsure of the answer. Even though they’d been in diapers and had just gotten out of them for good the previous night, they couldn’t think of all the letters that spelt it out.
Shining eventually plucked up courage and shouted. “Um… is B!” He squeaked as suddenly and without warning, his pull-up turned into a poofy diaper as Twilight giggled. “Nope, good try though, Shining. Don’t worry, you’ll get your pull-up back eventually.”
Shining blushed as Sunburst giggled and then said to Twilight. “Uh is the first letter...umm...E? I swear there’s an E in there!” Then he squealed as his pull-up too was turned into a diaper equally as poofy. The colt groaned, looking down at the thick diaper.
Shining then turned around. “Wait, Sunburst, what make ta ‘Duh’ sound again?”
Sunburst tapped a hoof to his chin, then proclaimed. “Oh, wasn't it D?!”
Twilight rose up, clapping her hooves together. “Yes, that's correct! Well done, Sunburst! And you too, Shining! Nice to see you boys cooperating for a change,” She then gave each foal a kiss on the forehead. “You two are quite smart for your age, I’m glad the spell didn’t take away your memories or your knowledge. But now it’s time for the final page. Get ready, this one’s a doozy!” She flipped the page, showing a picture of a chubby earth pony foal, and asked. “Now then, can you boys spell foal?”
Both colts tapped their hoof on their chins as they turned around and talked to each other. They were deep in thought for a while.
Shining eventually turned around and told Twilight. “Well F makes the ‘fff’ sound. So the first letter is F!”
The little colts watched as the letter F was placed onto the front of the picture. Sunburst then shouted. “The next letter is O, that makes the ‘ooo’ sound!”
Shining Armor turned to Sunburst who nodded, and then he said to Twilight. “I think there's another O somewhere?” He squeaked as he was poofed into a cute blue onesie.
“Sorry, Shining, there’s only one O in foal.” Twilight apologized with a shake of her head.
Sunburst giggled as he turned around and said to Twilight “I think there could be a U, right?” He squealed as an orange colored onesie was poofed around his body. “Oh no!” He exclaimed, more in embarrassment than actual horror.
Twilight giggled. “Not quite! Try again, you’re almost there.”
Shining grumbled as he teetered back and forth on his onesie before he replied. “Well...the next letter could be... A, I think?” When it appeared beside the other correct letters he breathed a sigh of relief, the little prince didn’t want to think what would’ve happened if he’d gotten it wrong again.
Sunburst was equally frightened by this prospect, so he was very reluctantly in answering. “Well, the last letter is... L, right? Please tell me I’m right!” Sure enough, the L appeared beside the F, O, and A! The word had been spelled out entirely!
Twilight stood up and clapped her hooves. “Well done, you two have officially passed Twilight's Preschool! Just as I expected, your memories haven’t been compromised by the spell. You may act more foalish, but you still remember your ABCs, shapes, and colors.”
Shining Armor, meanwhile looked down at his onesie and diaper with an embarrassed look and asked his sister. “Um…Twily, why did you dress us up as babies again? We’re not this little.”
Twilight hugged the two and nuzzled them. “Because I didn't get to see you two when you were regressed to foals, and no way could I miss the opportunity! I promise I’ll change you back to normal and let you use the potty, but for now just let Auntie Twily take care of you two for the rest of the day!” She then skipped down the hall with the two foals on her back. “Oh, it’s so great to be the big sister for a change!”
Shining and Sunburst simply groaned, wondering what they had done to warrant this kind of humiliation.
chapter twelve: Storytime
The two colts who were now in big thick diapers, were plopped in highchairs and wearing big pink bibs wrapped around their necks. The two foals were growling as they were getting big balls of mush shoved into their mouths. Shining Armor groaned, holding his stomach. “Oh, wha did you put in that, Twiwy?”
Twilight paused as she explained. “Oh, there’s spinach, brussel sprouts, eggplant, lima beans, and some curds and wheat.”
Sunburst rolled his eyes and groaned. “That’s a recipe for a big mess later, I hope we make it to the potty after this.”
Twilight turned around with a big smile. “Well, I was hoping to watch that happen at least once before I leave today. You’re in potty training now, after all. And doing a pretty good job from what I hear.”
The white coated coat whined. “Yeah, we are, and doing a good job. What I don’t understand is why you’re feeding us that! We’re going to be big ponies by tomorrow anyways. We don’t need yucky veggies!” He made a face and stuck out his tongue.
Twilight smirked. “Well, I wanted to test my new food with you two. So how is it?”
Both colts shouted at once. “It’s horrible!”
Twilight turned to the other foals, both of whom were groaning as they pushed huge messes into their diapers. Princess Cadence came over and cooed. “Oh...um...your new foal food may have too much fiber, Twilight.”
The young princess blushed and whispered. “Right, maybe too much…I’ll definitely recheck the formula.”
“It’s alright, at least they don’t have a sensitive stomach like you did as a foal.” Cadence replied to Twilight.
Twilight blushed. “Yeah. I remember the time I got a really bad tummy ache, and it made you faint from the smell.”
Cadence giggled. “But you were smart enough to change yourself, thankfully. And after that you got really good at using the potty in my care, though there was one time I had to fish you out when you tried to go down the drain.” She then took the two fillies into the embrace of her magic and drifted them off to have their diapers changed.
Twilight turned her attention to the colts, who were also groaning, and cooed. “Oh, looks like you two are going to need to use the potty after all! We’d better hurry!” She picked up both foals with her magic, carrying them to the bathroom. “Oh, what’s this?” She cheerfully commented as she pulled their diapers down.
Seated besides the training potties, was the toilet. The very same toilet that Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop had made disappear with their spell. “Looks like Cadence went ahead and restored the big potty,” She smiled at the little colts.”Would either of you big boys like to try it?”
Shining and Sunburst looked at each other, and both ultimately shook their heads. Shining in particular didn’t feel like risking another bowl ride. “I already got flushed once, and nearly got flushed twice. I don’t need a third trip. Besides, I don’t wanna give Flurry Heart or Fizzlepop any ideas, I’ve give them too many already. ” He thought as he and Sunburst were both seated on their plastic potties. “There you go, sweethearts,” Twilight cooed. “Now remember, no getting up until you go,” Then she smiled. “And look, it seems you’ve got some visitors.
The two colts gulped as they sat there, while Cadence finishing changing the two fillies diapers and placed them down. “Flurry Heart, Fizzlepop, you two can watch Shining and Sunburst. They’re going to demonstrate how to use the potty.” The princess of love told them.
The foals watched with interest, largely because they found it amusing to see two grown-ups on their level.
Shining and Sunburst both gulped as now the colts were being watched by all these ponies and they both whimpered. Sunburst was a little bit more used to it, largely since he’d potty trained alongside Starlight and had remembered both their families collaborating on the entire experience (though he had been trained just a day faster than Starlight). But for Shining, it brought back memories of when he would be seated on his potty as a little colt, while one or sometimes even both his parents watched over him. And this time he didn’t have Brutus Force by his side for company.
Cadence noticed the two colts in her care didn’t seem to be doing much of anything or even trying. Fortunately, as an experienced foalsitter she had an idea. Lighting up her horn she turned the faucet on the sink, letting water start to pour out. “Just a little something I picked up while helping potty train Twilight. It worked wonders.” She encouraged.
Sure enough, the little colts started to grunt and with a great deal of effort they pushed out giant messes into their plastic potties. Twilight clapped her hooves as Cadence gagged a little. “I think I’ve had enough cleaning for one day,” She playfully teased, fanning a hoof across her nose. “My goodness, I need to watch what my little ones eat.”
Both Fizzlepop and Flurry Heart burst into laughter and the colts whimpered as they kicked about, completely embarrassed. Twilight came over and began wiping them down for Cadence. Then she picked up the potties, plopping the mess into the big toilet. “Here,” She offered to Shining and Sunburst as she levitated them towards the handle. “You two can flush it all away. Don’t worry, I won’t let you fall in.”
The colts did so, and Flurry Heart watched with interest as she fluttered her tiny wings up to the bowl, just in time to see the messes swirl down the drain. Fizzlepop just stood there and whimpered, remembering her own bad experience from a while back. “I don’t think I’m quite ready for the big potty just yet. ” She thought.
Meanwhile, after the messes had been flushed down, Twilight took the two colts and pulled their diapers up. “Very well done, you two, that’s the way do it! You learn even faster than the Cake Twins, and by the time I foalsat them they were in pull-ups!” She declared, deciding to leave out the detail of her accidentally being turned into a kangaroo and having to use a park outhouse. “Now, I’m going to read you two a bedtime story before night nights. I’ll leave you in diapers, just in case. Cadence told me you two will still have a little bit of bedtime trouble, but it should go away once you’re back to normal.” She encouraged The eccentric alicorn took the two to their nursery as she took out a giant story book.
Shining groaned. “This is why our bedtime is so early. Twily always goes overboard with storytelling.”
Sunburst giggled as he kicked about in his pull-up. “This is going to be fun! Reminds me of when Starlight’s dad would read to me and Starlight as foals, he had the best silly voices.”
Shining just sighed. “Mom always liked to read her own stories to me, she was especially fond of one involving her and these other ponies on a journey with some creature called a Meghan. I think it had something to do with a castle and a rainbow of darkness too.”
Twilight then opened the book and started to read a story about a brave knight fighting a big scary dragon to save a princess. The colts were both looking at the pictures with their eyes drooping and then they slowly closed their eyes and drifted off to sleep as Twilight continued reading.
Shining Armor suddenly woke up and found himself wearing a strange, padded armor. It almost resembled his royal guard attire, except more poofy and foalish. He poked at the padded fabric feeling it make crinkling sounds as he squeaked in surprise. “Is this armor made of diapers? What a strange design choice,” He gulped. “Am I gonna have to fight a potty monster? Wait, what am I saying?! There’s no such thing as a potty monster, right?”
The armor wearing colt looked around, seeing he was in the middle of a volcano of some sort. But instead of lava, down below was milk. The colt shrugged as he wobbled towards a tower made of blocks. He looked up through the stairs, and then he slowly waddled up them. When he got to the top, he turned to see Princess Cadence, who was now wearing a little filly princess costume adorned with a pink, frilly dress, with white frills decorating the outlines, and a cute, pink hat with a big, white flag twirling overhead.
Inside a cage the little filly cried. “Help me, Shiny! That meanie pants dragon won’t let me leave my tower! He’s not my daddy, he can’t tell me what to do!”
Shining turned to see a big, padded Spike wearing a thick diaper adorned with cute, little blue books printed over the seat of padding. The big, purple scaled dragon wobbled over and roared, “You will never be able to save the princess, little prince! Certainly not when you’re dressed like that.”
Shining Armor took a foam sword and held it in his mouth as he growled. “Nah uh, you’re going down, Spikey! You’re not a hero of the Crystal Empire, I am!”
The big Spike whined as he stomped about. “Nah uh I got the Crystal Heart to Cady, you just threw her.”
Shining whined. “So? I did more than ya, I fought off Sombra all by myself!”
Spike whined back. “Nah uh! He defeated you and cut off your magic!”
Shining Armor shouted in defiance. “So, the most you did was deliver the Crystal Heart after Twily found it! She did all the work!”
Cadence growled as she stomped a hoof on the ground of her cage and whined. “Will you two stop fighting and get me out of this thing?! I wanna get out!”
Shining paused as he scratched his head. “Don’t I have to slay the dragon first?”
Spike turned around and shrugged. “I guess. I forgot what I was doing here in the first place.”
Cadence rolled her eyes. “Just release me, then! You don’t have to watch over me!”
Shining trotted over and opened the small door of the cage. But to his surprise, Cadence pushed him back into the cage, locking it behind him! “What did you do that for, Cadence?!” He shouted in surprise.
The little filly giggled as she produced an evil smirk. “Because I’m not Cadence, silly.” A magical circle surrounded the pink coated filly, as she transformed into a black coated colt with emerald green eyes, and with a little crown on top of his head, with a red blanket tied around his neck.
Shining growled under his breath as he came towards the colt. “You again, Sombra?! I swear, you... look quite cute in that little diaper.” He teased.
Sombra scoffed. “I’m just trapped like this, I not really a baby!”
Shining snickered. “Ya peed your little diaper, Sombra. Ya sure you don’t need Luna to change you?”
Sombra looked down and squeaked upon seeing that his diaper was slightly yellowed. “W-whatever, it’s only cause I’m trapped in this stupid baby form. When I’m a big pony again I won’t have accidents! You’re gonna pay, along with your dumb wife and daughter and I will control the Crystal Empire forever!”
Shining rolled his eyes. “Right, well good luck with that. My sister and her friends will stop you.”
Sombra stuck his tongue out as he lit his horn, turning his attention to the Spike plushie. “Guard this prison and don’t let Shining escape.”
Spike crossed his plush claws. “Why? I don’t need you to tell me what to do, Sombra!”
Sombra just grinned as he produced a big pink diamond. “If ya do what I say, you can have this!”
The big, plush, purple scaled dragon drooled as he reached out, and Sombra gave him the diamond. He gave a few big chomps and gobbled up the rest of the diamond. After he’d finished and gave his belly a few pats,he parked outside the cell. Sombra then lit his horn and a big, thick diaper was trapped around Spike’s rump. It had big, pink eggs printed on it, and Spike squeaked as he now wore a cute apron. Then he giggled. “Yes, I’ll protect the silly little Shining.”
Sombra sighed. “Alright. Well now, bye bye.” He skipped off in his cute little diaper, as Shining plopped down on his diaper armor and waited. Somepony would be along to rescue him soon enough, he hoped.
Shining waited as patiently as he could, until the familiar form of Princess Luna came out of the ceiling, and plopped down in front of Shining. “Luna, is that you!?”
Luna giggled and booped Shining’s nose. “No, I not Wuwu, I Tinkwe Spawk and I came to hewp ya out.” With a faint glow of magic, Spike was pushed aside.
Shining Armor wrinkled his nose as he was freed from his cage. “Okay... Well, why do you look like Luna, then?” He asked, then he and Tinkle Spark turned to hear what sounded like arguing. They both walked over to see Sunburst wearing a baby blue colored diaper, with a similarly colored baby blanket tied around his neck, and a felt baby blue wizard’s hat tied around his head, along with a rattle for a wand. He was currently locking eyes on Spike.
Shining came over to Sunburst and gave a big sigh of relief. “Thank goodness you’re okay! I came to save ya.”
Sunburst growled. “Step back, dragon, or I’ll turn ya into a diaper.”
Spike giggled. “Nopony messes with the big diaper maid dragon!” Spike then took out a feather duster, and sprinkled foal powder over Sunburst, making him sneeze as he was poofed into a big, thick diaper around his rump with a tuxedo onesie. Spike giggled as he taunted. “Now, little butler, go and fetch Shining a big bottle of formula, and have it heated.”
Sunburst performed a cute little bow before waddling off to grab the bottle.
Tinkle Spark rolled his eyes. “Ugh, tat was bad, and now we weawwy stuck.”
Shining looked over at Tinkle Spark and asked. “Wha, ya can’t hewp us?”
Tinkle sighed. “Not weawwy. It seems that Sombwa hijacked his cage and has tuwned it into his wittwe pwaygwound. The onwy reason I wook wike Pwincess Wuwu is because I can use hew to beat him.”
Shining growled. “So where’s the real Princess Luna? Why can’t she stop him? The dream realm is her domain after all.”
Tinkle Spark sighed. “Dun know. I twied finding hew and she was nowhere in sight Maybe she hasn’t come into the dweam weawm yet. Is kind of eawwy, but I have eawwy bedtime.”
Shining groaned and rubbed a hoof down his face. “Seriously?! So what are going to do?!”
Tinkle Spark paused and tapped a hoof to his chin. “I dun know, but we may be abwe to wowk within the ruwes of the dweam. Just pway awong.” He then turned to Shining, and with a flick of his horn, he turned Shining into what looked like a baby Flurry. But it actually was Twilight with a big, thick diaper with her cutie mark printed on it.
The transformed Twilight looked up and asked. “Um, Spikey, wha awe you doing?”
The big, plushie Spike turned around with a smile. “Oh, I’m not sure, little Twily. And Princess Luna, what a surprise. I didn’t see you there.”
Spike then opened the door and Twilight (Shining Armor in disguise) waddled out with Tinkle Spark as they both turned to see Sunburst waddling over in his butler onesie. He caught sight of the two princess and squeaked. “Pwincess Twiwy and Wuwu, I didn’t expect to see ya hewe.”
Twilight turned and smirked. “Hewwo Sunnybuwst, I gwad ya hewe. Why are you weawing tat siwwy onesie? You shouwd be weawing a pwopew uniform wike Spike hewe.”
Sunburst looked down at his onesie and whispered and replied. “Bu…but tis is for cowts, I not a fiwwy.”
Spike smirked. “Well I’m a boy, and I like wearing my frilly maid costume.” He then shook the feather duster and sprinkled foal powder over the colt. His onesie turned into a pink, frilly maid’s outfit with white frills decorating the outlines. He blushed as both Shining and Tinkle Spark burst into fits of laughter.
Sunburst whined. “S-stop it! Tuwn my cwothes back to nowmaw.”
Twilight (Shining in disguise) smirked. “Sowwy, but I need ya to be my wittwe cweanew fow a whiwe.”
Spike pouted and explained. “I thought I was.”
Shining turned around and explained. “Oh, sowwy, but I need ya to stay hewe and cwean tings up, okay Spikey?”
Spike shrugged. “Okay, Twilight. For you, anything. Just don’t ask me to change your diapers, either find somepony else or use the potty. This dragon doesn’t do diapers.”
Spike then began to clean and sprinkle things with foal powder as Shining asked. “Um, Tinkwe Spawk, you suwe tis is just a dweam, wight? I’ww tuwn back to nomaw when I wake up, wight?”
Tinkle Spark nodded. “Yeah. Dun wowwy about it now, come on! We’s gotta stop Sombwa!” He led the two with Sunburst growling under his breath. “Can’t you at wast get tis ting off me fiwst?” Tinkle Spark turned around and his horn glowed as the maid outfit turned back to the wizards costume, and Shining was turned back into his diapered armor as they all popped out of the dream.
The three all appeared outside briefly, and then they entered into the next dream through a bubble. Here, they were trapped in eggs as they looked up at a big, violet colored goose wearing a frilly blue bonnet around her head, and having a pair of eyeglasses as she looked down. “Oh, hello. I was told you two would be stopping by.”
Shining sighed, he knew who the goose was. It was a projection of his sister, apparently she had fallen asleep too. “Sis, we need to go and stop Somby! He’s trying to escape.”
Twilight smirked. “Sorry, but you’re not getting out of reading time with that excuse, little brother. If Sombra had actually escaped, Princess Luna would’ve come to get me.” She then took up a huge book and started reading about some filly named Alice, who chasing a white rabbit.
Shining groaned as he turned to Sunburst and Tinkle Spark. “Hey, what do we do now?”
Sunburst pondered as he grunted, closing his eyes as he slowly transformed into a giant swan with a white bonnet with yellow trim. The swan looked down at Twilight (as she now towered over her) and asked. “Twilight, what are you doing?”
The purple goose looked up and squawked. “W-who are you?”
The big white goose looked down and smiled. “I’m Princess Celestia, your teacher. Your story telling is remarkable, but you still have a lot to learn.”
Twilight bowed as she whispered. “Of course, Princess Celestia. I apologize and I hope that I can continue being your faithful student.”
Celestia nuzzled Twilight before leading her to a nest. Twilight yawned. “But I’m not sleepy, princess.”
The swan nuzzled her student and cooed. “Oh, I think you are. Now go to sleep, sweet heart. I’ll see you in the morning.”
Twilight yawned and went to sleep as Sunburst turned back to a normal colt and snickered. “So, what did you think? Pretty cool, right?”
Shining shrugged. “Alright, ya did good, Sunburst. But you’re still a poopy head.”
Sunburst stuck his tongue out. “Whateva! You just mad that I got to turn into a grown-up princess, and you had to turn yourself into a little foal.”
They then popped out of the dream and entered another one. The foals all looked up to see that they were in a big ball room. Flurry Heart was wearing a frilly light blue dress with a cute, little golden tiara on her mane. She was dancing with Pound Cake, who wearing a nice prince suit that looked a lot like the suit Shining had worn at his wedding.
Shining Armor blushed seeing his daughter dancing with Pound Cake. “She can’t have a crush on a foal, she’s only one and a half years old and he’s about to start preschool. Not to mention the fact that they live so far apart from each other.”
Sunburst giggled. “Oh, that’s cute. Your daughter thinks she’s Cinderella, and Pound Cake’s her handsome prince,” Then he wondered. “But…why would Sombra come here?”
All of a sudden, Sombra came over with a powdered wig and a nice costume. “It’s getting late you two, we need to get you to bed before bedtime.” He informed the dancing foals.
Every foal whined as Flurry pouted, crossed her hooves, and whined. “Tat no fair! I can stay up as wong as I want.”
Sombra shook his head as he took out a pocket watch with symbols printed on it like diapers, bottles, a sun and a crescent moon, and a big smiling sun. Flurry groaned. “Fine, but I needs a baby cawwiage to wide in.”
Sombra snickered as his horn lit up and turned Shining Armor into a big, white baby carriage with his cutie mark printed on it. Sombra then placed the two previously dancing foals inside.
Sunburst turned around and glared at Sombra! “Hey, you can’t do that! What are you, Discord?!”
Sombra scoffed. “I’m nothing like that crazy drac, I’m just trying to stop you guys from bringing me back to my prison! I’ll never go back to that nursery of a prison!” He then transformed Sunburst into a big, padded nanny. “Now, you go take care of the princess and prince like a good nanny should.”
Tinkle Spark came out with his hooves crossed over his front and he growled. “Ya going to be stopped. When Pwincess Wuwu finds out about tis, ya gonna be in a big time out! Ya wump wiww be wed aww ovew!”
Sombra smirked. “As if! I already captured Luna, she can’t help you. Now, you go help the prince and princess sleep like a good plushie.” He then turned Tinkle Spark into a plushie, plopping him into Flurry’s Hooves.
“Oh, Auntie Wuwu pwushie! So coow!” Flurry squealed.
Tinkle Spark cried. “I not a pwushie!” But his plea was in vain.
Sunburst then pushed them off as Sombra burst into laughter, disappearing from the dream.
After Sombra left, Sunburst was pushing the foals through the gardens and towards a little house as Tinkle Spark shouted. “Sunbuwst, snap out of it! Ya need to tuwn us back to nowmaw sos we can stop Sombwa and fwee Pwincess Wuwu.”
Sunburst whimpered as he waddled along. “I can’t, the magic is making me push you guys! I have to make sure Flurry Heart and Prince Pound Cake get good night nights.”
The two foals were both rifting to sleep as Tinkle Spark sighed, getting hugged. “Wooks wike we dun have a choice. We need to end tis, now… Shining, I dun know if ya can heaw me but tuwn into a cwib.”
Shining replied back. “I can’t! How is that even possible?!”
Tinkle Spark instructed. “Wemembew, tis is a dweam. Ya can contwow it as wong as it fits the dweam.”
The group continued towards the house, inside it looked like a nursery as the baby carriage turned into a crib with the two foals inside. Tinkle Spark then transformed into a mobile filled with moons and stars. Sunburst looked down at the two foals in the crib under the covers, who were both still quivering and giddy with excitement. Tinkle Spark instructed. “Ya needs to be someting the two wecognize wight now. Ya a nice nanny bu ya need to be someting that can get tese two to sweep.”
Sunburst paused as he transformed into Celestia in the nanny uniform, as they foals gasped while she bent down and kissed both on the forehead. “It’s time go to sleep, you two.” They both cooed as she nuzzled them and watched as they went to sleep.
Then Shining managed to transform into a foal (as did Tinkle Spark) and Sunburst took the two foals and placed them into a crib nearby as Shining Armor gulped and grumbled. “We wiww nevew discuss what happened hewe.” Tinkle Spark nodded in agreement.
They both jumped out along with Sunburst, and entered a new dream where Fizzlepop was wearing a cute dress while eating candy inside a gingerbread house. She turned and cooed. “Hewwo you guys, come to eat candy with me?”
Shining sighed. “No we came to find Somby, was he here?”
Fizzlepop shook her head. “No, I no see him.” She started to lick a big lollipop as Shining gasped in realization! “This is the gingerbread house from Hansel and Gretel!”
Sunburst squeaked in surprise and horror! “Oh no! A big scary witch is going to come and eat us!”
Fizzlepop turned around and explained. “Oh, that witch? She weft a wong time ago, no big meanie witch hewe!”
Sunburst and Shining scratched their heads in confusion and then they turned around to see Tinkle Spark in his Luna disguise, laughing hysterically. “Oh wow! She must of just wanted to dweam about a big house made of candy!”
Shining got up and asked. “I gots a question, Fizzlepop, did Somby came by here?”
Fizzlepop giggled. “Actuawwy, yeah! I think he twied to teww me tat I had to stop you guys and ten he would make me his queen or someting when he escaped. Bu I just said ‘Suwe’ but I didn’t mean it, he was annoying me and I wanted him to go away.”
Sunburst rolled his eyes. “Okay, we get it. Now where did he go?”
The filly tapped a hoof to her chin, then she rose it with a big smile on her face. “Oh, I wemembew! He said someting about taking ovew Pwincess Wuna’s dweam or someting.”
She pointed to a big blue hole in the back of the gingerbread house, making all the foals slam a hoof to their face. How could they have overlooked something so obvious?
Shining Armor growled. “Let’s just get that naughty tyrant! He’s gonna pay!” They all rushed through the portal!
The foals appeared on the other side in a giant field. They looked up to see a big moon made of cheddar cheese, and there in front of them was a big, dark blue cow, with Sombra shouting at her. “Now tat you’we just a stupid cow, jump ovew ta moon, now!” The big cow just shook her head and Sombra stomped a bout. “Sewiouswy?! Come on! Just jump over ta moon! You need to!” The cow gave a loud moo and moved its head as Sombra plopped onto his diaper. “Ugh! Even when I’m in control, Pwincess Wuna is being so stubbown.”
Tinkle Spark smirked as he waddled over. “Sewiouswy, Sombwa? You tink you can contwow Wuwu here in the dweam weawm?” He came over to the cow, who mooed with glee and rubbed her head against the little colt.
Sombra groaned as the moon transformed back to normal, and the cow transformed back into the full grown Luna, who was laughing. “Oh, it was fun to watch you four dream hopping. You’re quite good at it.”
Sombra whimpered. “No faiw! You were just toying with me ta whowe time!”
Luna picked Sombra up and cooed. “Well of course, sweetheart. It was a test to see if my little apprentice can go through dreams without destroying them, and I’m quite pleased to see that he can.”
Tinkle Sparks lifted his head in pride as the fields turned into a nursery, and the princess placed Sombra into a crib as he threw a tantrum. “Is not faiw, I dun wana be a baby fowevew!”
Luna looked him over, changing his wet diaper. “Oh, but you were doing so well before tonight. I’m willing to bet that if you keep being a good baby, maybe we’ll find a way to bring you back in the real world, someday. Perhaps you’ll even be potty trained.”
Sombra scoffed. “Yeah, whatevew. Guess I was getting tiwed of my wet diapee anyway.” He then fell asleep.
Luna turned around to face the other foals and cooed. “Well, it looks like you three had a fun adventure tonight. But I’m afraid you also did a number on your diapers.”
They all blinked and looked down to see their diapers were yellowed as Shining gulped. “We wet the bed, huh?”
Luna smirked as she gave the colts a pat on the head. “Looks like you still have some potty training to do. Good thing Twilight had you diapered. Not to worry, though. Even grown ponies wet the bed sometimes.”
Chapter Thirteen: The Diapers Never end
The next morning, both colts both woke up in an irritated state, not pleased to see that their wet diapers were being changed by the princesses, Cadence changing Shining’s diaper while Twilight changed Sunburst. They were both dawwing and talking to each other about how adorable they were.
Twilight looked down at Sunburst and snickered. “Good morning, little Sunny. So, you and Shiny ready to be big ponies again?”
The little orange coated unicorn whimpered. “Yes please!”
Cadence finished wiping down Shining and cooed. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe they need a few more days as toddlers. Most ponies don’t get a second foalhood.”
Both colts shouted at once. “No!”
Twilight laughed. “Oh, I don’t know. Maybe…”
But Shining got up with a pout. “You promised we can become big ponies today! You can’t break a promise, not even if it’s not a ‘Pinkie Promise’!”
Cadence gave a nod as she looked down at the two colts and cooed. “Oh, don’t worry you’ll be big ponies again soon enough. But before we do that we need to do some challenges to make sure you two are ready to handle the changelings that come with being big ponies.”
The colts groaned as Sunburst rolled his eyes. “Really? I mean, come on. You guys just want to embarrass us even more.”
Twilight bent down. “Well, it’s not like I’ll be able to see you as a baby anymore after we turn you into big ponies,” And she smiled. “Come on, let me enjoy this. I probably won’t even seen the actual foals again for a long time with how busy the school keeps me.”
Shining crossed his hooves with a cute pout and grumbled. “Fine, we’ll play along. What do you want us to do?”
Cadence looked over to her husband and explained. “Well, for your test, Shining you’re going to be the captain of some guards that recently regressed into foals. You’ll make sure they do their duties, but also that they get treated like foals as well. That way, Rebecca Pie can work on a cure for them, those that want to be big ponies again anyway.”
Shining couldn’t help but burst into fits of laughter at the idea of a little padded guard, marching around in puffy suits and poofy diapers.
Sunburst, meanwhile, excitedly asked. “Oh, oh! So what’s my test?!”
Twilight turned around and explained. “Well a few top unicorn mages from Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns came for a special lesson. You’re an old magic student, so you’re going to be teaching them the basics in magic.”
Sunburst squealed with delight, teaching other ponies made him feel special! So he excitedly followed Twilight down one of the halls, as Cadence lead Shining Armor down an opposite direction.
Cadence lead her husband down the long crystal halls with a smile on her face as she asked him. “So, are you excited to lead your own unit of diapered foals today?”
Shining was waddling along, shaking his diapered rump and chirping happily. “Oh yeah! This going to be so much fun! So, what do I have to do?”
Cadence smiledd. “Well, first, before they can perform their duties I need you to inspect all the padded guards, and that includes their diapers.”
Shining waddled along until he came upon a group of toddler aged crystal ponies, all of whom were wearing plastic armor and thick diapers. He looked over the padded guard and squealed in delight. “So I gets to be the captain, while they’re babies?!”
Cadence gave a nod as she cooed. “That’s right, sweetheart. That also means you’re the only one who gets to use the potty, just so long as you remember to ask first.”
Shining simply squealed in delight again as he waddled over and shouted “Attention!”, quickly getting into his captain persona. All the guards nervously jumped to attention as Shining came up to them. “So, ya gonna be babies today while you’re on patrol. You’ll guard the princess just as you did when you were big ponies. As such I will be checking your diapers and if you need a change ya better ask Cady and be good little foals, or else she’ll leave ya as a baby for longer. Do you understand?”
Every padded guard gulped and shouted. “Yes, Prince Shining! We no let you down!”
Flashing a devilish smile, Shining proclaimed. “Then we start with waddling around the castle. I know your diapers are quite cumbersome, so I don’t expect our marching to be perfect. But you better not try to wander off without me knowing, or you’re gonna be in big trouble. And no trying to use the potty either, only I get to do that. And don’t get any ideas, flushing your captain is a big no no!”
One orange coated pegasus colt nervously raised a hoof as Shining Armor turned around and asked. “Yes, Flash?”
The colt gulped as he babbled. “So the rules Cady posted says we gets to have a pwaytime, a nap time and a snack time too?”
Shining nodded as he explained. “That’s right, since you’re babies you need more food and sleep to stay alert. And you will also have an hour playtime with my daughters Flurry and Fizzlepop. But ya better not think of being Flurry’s colt friend, Flash, or ya gonna stay a baby for a long time!”
Cadence burst into laughter as she gave her husband a pat on the head. “Oh, don’t worry about that Shining, Flurry is still in diapers. It’ll be a long time before she starts dating. And the same is probably gonna be true with Fizzlepop.”
Shining turned around and shouted. “I not sure about Flurry, Cadence. She already has a crush on that little pegasus colt from Ponyville!”
All the foals burst into laughter and Shining blushed as he whined. “Hey! Stop laughing at me! I’m your captain! I can put you in time out if you no listen to me!”
They all blushed, but most of the colts replied with a simple. “Yes, Prince Shiny. We sowwy.”
The padded prince then came forward with a cute pout and shouted. “Alright, now get in formation, we about to march!” The colts all gathered in two lines as Shining stood in front of his troops and shouted. “Now let’s go! Follow me lead!” He then started his march with the rest of the guards and they all waddled off together, making a symphony of crinkles that echoed from their diapers.
Cadence walked along and gave the colt a pat on the back. “Well done, little captain. So I guess you want to go and waddle around on patrol with your new friends?”
Shining gave a few nods and snickered. “Oh yeah, this is gonna be fun!” Under his breath he added. “For me, not for them. Finally, I get to baby somepony else.”
While Cadence watched Shining and the other padded guards waddle around the castle, Twilight had taken Sunburst by the hoof and was leading him down to another room. This one was a small classroom designed to look like a preschool, with pictures on the wall and foals whimpering while sitting in the desks with big, poofy diapers.
Sunburst couldn’t help but burst into fits of laughter as Twilight took him to the front of the classroom. He got on a pedestal as Twilight turned around. “Now, you are Celestia’s top students, but we’re going to see how smart you really are by having you retake magic preschool with Sunburst leading the class.”
Sunburst got up and proclaimed. “Listen up! I your little teacher and you will do as I say. Today we going to go over the basics of levitating things with your horn.”
The foals all burst into laughter as one colt shouted. “We the best of Cewestia’s students, tis gonna be easy!” He tried levitating a foam brick that had be placed on his desk. As he grunted and kicked about, the little colt tried to levitate, his horn fizzing out as it fell back onto the desk.
Sunburst sighed and shook his head. “Sorry, but you’re going to need to re-learn some things. Like I said, you babies now.”
The colt pouted and whined. “Tat not faiw!”
Sunburst rolled his eyes and scoffed. “Well, deal with it. After we learn the basics of magic, we all get snack time and a nap time. Then after that you have time to practice. If you fail the final test by the end of the day, you stay as babies.”
The little foals whimpered and scrunched their hooves into their diapers as Twilight stood up and announced. “Don’t worry, you’ll be all graduate, I’m sure of it. Now then, it’s time to start the class. I’m going to explain how to use your little horns and see how much raw talent you have!”
The foals gulped as Sunburst looked over the class and gasped upon seeing one particular filly sitting in the classroom. She was light blue and wearing a thick diaper with a moon and a wand symbol printed on the front. Sunburst blinked in surprise. “Trixie? Why you here?”
Trixie whined. “I towd tis a test for ta gweatest unicowns in Equestria! Ta Gweat and Powewfuw Twixie had to sign up! No pony said I going to be tuwned into a baby!”
The rest of the foals giggled and laughed as Twilight cooed. “Come now, Trixie. I tried to warn you but you didn’t listen. Now, show us how great and powerful you are as a baby!”
Trixie got up and waddled to the front of the class, fixing her diaper (she’d tried earlier to remove it but had only succeeded in loosening the tabs) before proclaiming to the class. “Wisten up poopy heads! You going to witness the magic of Ta Gweat and Powewfuw Twixie!”
Trixie turned around to see a big, red ball and grunted as she put all her energy into lifting said ball, making it float a little in the air. She then slowly lifted it, but squeaked as her diaper started to yellow. This caused her to drop the ball as the class burst into laughter.
Trixie shouted back at them. “S-so what if I peed my diapee?! I just pwoved I gots a wot of waw tawent!”
Twilight picked Trixie up and hugged her close to her chest as she cooed. ”Oh, that’s so true, little cutie! I think I’m going to keep you like this for a while!”
Trixie whimpered as she whined. “You bettew not!”
Twilight placed Trixie down into the desk. “You just be a good little filly, alright, sweetheart? I’ll change you in a minute, you’re just a little wet.”
Trixie grumbled a she crossed her hooves while the rest of the class snickered.
Twilight then turned her attention towards the class. “Alright, let’s continue. Next student please.”
Sunburst squealed as he waddled over to pick the next student with a big smile on his face. Twilight, meanwhile, turned her attention to changing Trixie’s soggy diaper.
Shining was going along with some of his guard in diapers, telling them to waddle. “Left, right, left! Put your rumps into it, make those diapers shake!”
The little guards whimpered as they shook their diapers back and forth. Shining turned to see Flash struggling with his diaper as it started to sag. “Soldier! What did I tell you about your diaper?!” Shining scolded. “If you need a diaper change then go to Cady!”
The colt whined. “Bu…but tat’s so embawwassing!”
Shining shook his head and sighed. “That’s the point. This training is to show that ya gots to do your duty even if it’s embarrassing, now come on!” He led the little colt to the throne room where Cadence was waiting.
Cadence looked down with a smirk on her face. “Oh, does the little one here need a change?”
Shining sighed. “Yeah, and he’s still embarrassed a little about waddling around in his diapers.”
Cadence then began to change the foal. “Oh, what a cute little foal. Oh, I think you’re one who has a crush on Twilight!”
Flash pouted and whined. “No I dun!!”
Cadence smirked as she finished taping up the diaper. “Sorry, cutie, but I’m the Princess of Love! I know a crush when I see one,” She smirked. “You joined up because you wanted to get closer to Twilight. Well, I’m afraid she’s too old for you right now. At least wait until you’re out of diapers, sweetie.” Flash Sentry blushed hard as he crossed his hooves over his new diaper.
Shining then asked. “So, Flash, shall we resume our little patrol?”
Flash nodded. “I weady if you awe. You no need the potty, wight?”
Shining replied back. “Nice try, Flash. You just planning to sneak off while I going potty, you not making goo goo eyes at my sister on my watch!”
Cadence tapped a hoof to her chin and smirked. “Well then, I think it’s time we had our little students and padded guards meet and eat some lunch.”
The padded guards and diapered unicorns were now all sitting together in the dining room of the castle, eating together as Cadence and Twilight went about checking diapers and making sure the little ones were eating their vegetables.
Flash Sentry was gazing up at Twilight and blushed as he took out a picture of him hugging her, as Trixie looked over and giggled, “Oh, you going to give Twiwy tat?”
Flash nervously stuffed the picture into his diaper. “Y-yeah, so wha?”
Trixie burst into laughter as she pointed a hoof at him. “You in wove with Twiwy!” Soon, every foal looked over as they giggled and laughed.
Shining then waddled over and shouted. “What’s this ruckus, Flash Sentry?! Something about a love letter?”
The little foal squeaked in surprise. “I-it noting!”
Shining wasn’t convinced, he could see the piece of paper sticking out of the back of Flash’s diaper. He took the picture out and gasped,.“So you gots a crush on my sissy after all! I should’ve known!”
This made every foal at the lunch table squeal with laughter as Twilight came over, saw the picture, and blushed. “Oh stop it, all of you. This is simply adorable!”
Flash scrunched his diaper and squeaked. “W-weally? You tink so, Twiwight?”
Twilight picked him up. “Oh yes it is, and you are just a sweet little colt! I’ve got just the place for this on my fridge back home!” She hugged the little orange coated pegasus close to her chest, then cooed. “Okay, foals. Go on and finish up your snacks, then we have a quick pee wee playtime scheduled.”
The foals cheered as Shining just gave Flash Sentry a dead stare. “I’m not gonna let Twily date some juvenile private!”
Sunburst snickered as he cooed. “Oh, wow, you so are overprotective. I can only imagine how you’ll be when Flurry and Fizzlepop start dating.”
Shining scoffed. “I’m not overprotective, I’m trying to look out for my sissy! Now I gonna stop this before it’s too late!”
Sunburst scratched his head and asked. “How are ya gonna do that? I doubt flushing or spanking him is gonna work.”
Shining smirked. “I got a few ideas. He’s a baby after all, so maybe if I make him do some embarrassing things, Twily will never wanna date him!”
Sunburst shook his head. “It’s Spike Land all over again.” But at least this time he could be certain that he wasn’t the target of Shining’s pranks.
The foals were now all playing in Flurry and Fizzlepop’s nursery with Twilight, Rebecca Pie, and Cadence all watching them.
Shining had a piece of paper with three pictures drawn on it, as he was explaining to Sunburst his plans to embarrass Flash Sentry in front of Twilight. “My first idea is make him do the diaper dance with lots of foal powder. During his next diaper change he gonna be getting it all over Twily! Then I gonna make him fall into pink hoof paint and make sure his coat is all pink! Then my final trick will be to make him drinks lots and lots of formula, then watch him pee pee and leak through his diaper!”
Sunburst gulped. “Uh, Shiny, that’s kind of mean. Ya gonna be in big trouble if Twily or Cady catches you.”
Shining rolled his eyes. “The idea is not to get caught, poopy head. Besides, you’re better at magic than me, so I gonna need your help.”
Sunburst shook his head. “Nah, this is too mean, and I still haven’t forgotten your last prank. You’re on ya own for this one, just don’t blame me if you get caught.” He then waddled off to play with the other unicorns, all of whom were practicing levitating blocks and plushies with their magic.
Shining grumbled. “Fine, I’ll do it on my own then! Thanks for nothing, Sunburst,” He plopped back down onto his diaper and grumbled. “How can I do this by myself, though?”
Then suddenly the little colt heard a filly shout. “Oh, I wanna hewp! Sounds wike wots of fun!”
Shining turned around to see Trixie was waddling towards him. The colt smiled and squealed. “Oh great! I heard you’re super good at magic!”
Trixie gave a nod as she proclaimed. “I, Ta Gweat and Adowabwe Twixie, got an A in wevitation. I can change cowows on my hoof paintings, and I even tuwned Twily’s mane pink!”
Shining giggled. “Great, then you’re gonna be perfect in helping me embarrass Flash Sentry!”
Just then, they both turned to see that Flash sentry was having his diaper changed by Twilight and Trixie smirked. “Watch tis!” She grunted as she closed her eyes and aimed her magic at the bottle of foal powder, lifting it up as Twilight placed the diapered Flash Sentry on the ground. Trixie dumped the whole bottle into the back of his diaper, making the foal squeal as he shook about, making clouds of foal powder go all over as Twilight gave a sheepish smile. “Oops! I must’ve put too much foal powder on you.”
Flash was too busy trying to get the foal powder out, plopping his rump down and making more of it poof out. Soon, other foals turned around and cheered. ”Wook, he’s doing the famous diapee dance! Is ta stuff of wegends!”
Every foal came over and cheered as Flash Sentry danced about, shaking his rump with a big smile on his face. Twilight was taking pictures and cooing. “Oh, you’re such a cute little foal, Flashy Washy!”
Shining threw a little tantrum as he whined. “Great! Now Twily’s giving him nicknames! That makes it worse!”
Trixie scoffed. “Dun wowwy, we stiww gots time.”
Shining grumbled. “I hope so…”
After a nap and before the foals all went back to their normal duties, Twilight and Cadence laid out arts and crafts to have the foals make something.
Flash Sentry was making a big pink heart with foal paint, with the letters F and T in the middle. Shining watched from a distance as he also made a pink heart in a paper with S and C inside his, as he turned to see Trixie busy making a friendship necklace with beads for Starlight. Shining then whispered. “Hey, this is perfect time to turn Flash Sentry’s coat pink.”
The little filly squealed as she looked over. “Oh yeah! Tis gonna be good! Ya so much mowe fun tan ya sistew.” She grunted, lifting the jar of pink hoof paint over Flash Sentry’s head. While he was busy trying to smear the paint into a heart shape, she dumped it all over the colt making him squeak! Trixie then grunted as she zapped a huge burst of energy at Flash, making the pink paint absorb into his fur and he whined. “Hey, how my coat tuwn pink?!”
Every foal turned around and burst into laughter. But then Flash got up, showing that his diaper now had cute little hearts on it, and his mane had grown out.
Trixie squeaked in surprise! “Oops, I tuwn Fwash Sentwy into a fiwwy!”
Flash, meanwhile, whined. “Who did tis?! Sewiouswy?! I wanna be a cowt, not a fiwwy!” He squeaked, hearing his high pitched voice.
Twilight looked over and sighed (while trying to suppress some giggles). “Uh oh, looks like some foal had a magic burst,” She came over, picked the filly Flash up, and giggled. “You look like Princess Cadence, oh how adorable!”
Cadence came over and blushed a bit. “Oh my, he does look like me when I was a young foal. I was born a pegasus, after all.”
”Oh, this is a rare opportunity for some more cute photos!” Twilight cooed.
The princesses soon had Shining nd Flash placed behind Shining’s painting of the big heart as they snapped photos of the two. Then they put Flash into a little wedding dress, and Shining into a suited onesie that looked like the suit he’d worn to his actual wedding. The foals then reluctantly kissed each other on the cheeks as Cadence and Twilight took more photos.
Rebecca Pie then gave Flash a potion turning his fur back to orange and everything back to normal, expect for his diaper. Flash blushed. “Can I get a diffewent diapee, pwease?!”
Twilight shook her head. “I don’t think so, sweetheart. I just changed you and it would be a shame to waste a perfectly good diaper,” Then she cooed. “Now Shining, go gather the rest of the guards. It’s time for another adorable patrol.”
Shining gave a salute. “Yes, ma’am!” He waddled off to gather the rest of the guards as he snickered to himself. “Well, the last two plans failed. But my next one is gonna really make Twily never want to date that Flash!”
During the padded guards’ final patrol, they were rounding a bend as Shining held up a hoof. “Time for a break! You all must be thirsty,” All the foals plopped onto their diapers as Shining turned to Flash Sentry and gave him a bottle of formula. “Drink up, soldier!”
Flash whined. “Come on, I had thwee bottwes awweady and pee peed my diapee wike twice! If I dwink anymowe before we get to Cady, my diapee is gonna weak. I just know it!”
Shining just replied. “Ya want to get out of that embarrassing heart diaper, don’t ya? Then drink up, soldier! That’s an order!”
Flash gazed down and sighed. “Yes sir, Captain,” And he added. “Tis is super embawwassing!” He reluctantly took the bottle of formula and gulped the chalky milk down. He groaned, seeing Twilight teaching the class nearby. He reluctantly waddled over, holding the front of his diaper as he whined. “Twily! I gotta pee but my diapee is awweady soaked! So if I pee more is gonna leak!”
Twilight gasped. “Oh dear this is an emergency! Come with me, please!” She took Flash by the hoof, ready to lead him to the training potties.
But Trixie snickered as she grunted and zapped another blast of magic at Flash Sentry! He squeaked as his diaper doubled in size and he soaked the padding. Soon, Flash was kicking around in a giant diaper soaked yellow. Every foal in the class burst into laughter as he whined. “Stop tat! I no mean to pee pee mysewf wike tis!”
Twilight came over and took Flash and hugged him close. “Oh, it’s ok, Flash. It’s just a magic burst.”
But Sunburst waddled over and growled. “No is not! Twixie did tat on puwpose to Fwashy!”
Trixie whined. “Nah uh, poopy head! Ya wying!”
Sunburst shouted. “Yeah huh!”
Trixie shouted back. ”Nah uh!”
Twilight came over to the bickering foals. “Well, Trixie, be honest. Did you do this to Flashy on purpose?” Trixie gulped, looking up at Twilight’s angry stare and as she peed her own diaper. Twilight cooed. “I’ll change you if you tell me the truth.”
Trixie reluctantly bowed her head. “Yes, Twiwy, I did it on purpose. But onwy because Shiny wanted to embarrass Fwash.”
Shining gulped as he nervously came forward with Twilight giving her brother the cold stare. “So you did all of this to poor Flashy, why?”
Shining whined. “Because he wants to date ya, and I don’t wanna have him dating ya! He too young!”
Twilight burst into laughter. “Oh Shiny, you are overprotective! I can make my own decisions about who I date, thank you very much. Besides, Flash Sentry isn’t really my type. We tried, but it didn’t work out. Now, as an apology to Flashy for being such a naughty foal, I’m going to have Flashy pick out a foal to perform a magic burst on you.”
Shining whimpered. “Do I have to?”
“Well it’s either that, or I can tell Cadence and she can spank you,” Twilight offered. “You wouldn’t like that, would you?”
Shining gulped anew. “N-no, Twily!” And he sighed. “Fine, Flash can pick a pony to do a magic burst on me. Just don’t make too embarrassing!”
After Flash Sentry was changed, Sunburst came over to the front of the class and proclaimed, “Now, all of ya graduated Sunnyburst’s and Twily’s school for magic. Congratulations!” Every foal waddled up and got a cute little diploma with their grade, and a purple hoof print from Twilight on the paper.
Trixie was the last to come up as twilight looked down and cooed. “Trixie, you did outstanding and got the highest grade in the class. But due to you making Flash Sentry like that you will have to be a part of the same punishment as Shining before you turn into a big pony.”
Trixie groaned as she took her diploma and walked off towards Shining, who stood in front of his regressed guards and shouted. “I hope you all learn some valuable lessons today as I go through the punishment. You all performed very well, even as babies, and I expect you to be just as good as when you turn back into big ponies.”
Shining then waddled to the front of the room with Trixie as Flash Sentry waddled over and smirked. ”Ya two weady?”
The two nervous foals gave quick nods as Flash turned to Sunburst and told him. “Ya can do s honows.”
Sunburst squinted as his horn glowed and a burst of magic hit both Shining Armor and Trixie. Shining was suddenly transformed into a big, giant, padded polar bear with little penguins and snowflakes decorating his diaper, while Trixie was transformed into a big, padded Ursa Minor with stars and moons decorating her diaper.
The two chubby padded bears both blinked as all the foals charged them and started to crawl all over the big, padded bears. The two looked nervously at Cadence who smirked. “Oh, I think you can stay like that until the foals are tuckered out. It serves you right for being such naughty foals.”
Trixie and Shining both growled under their breaths as the foals continued to play with the big padded bears.
After a few hours the foals were all tuckered out, and Rebecca Pie began giving each foal a small drink of her formula, transforming the foals back into adults again. One by one they left until only the two padded bears remained with Flurry Heart, Fizzlepop Sunburst and Flash Sentry all bouncing on the diapers.
Cadence sighed. “Well, it’s been fun, but I think it’s time we got these foals back to normal.”
Flash Sentry whined. “Aww, bu tis was so much fun! Weww, aside fwom Shiny picking on me.” He blushed putting his hooves to his face while Twilight dawwed.
“Oh, don’t worry. I’m sure we can turn you into a foal again if absolutely necessary.” She then kissed Flash on the forehead and gave him the vial. The little colt drank some and quickly transformed into an adult.
The pegasus blushed hard stepping backwards as he stammered. “W-well...u-um…I’m just gonna go!” He quickly ran out of the room as Twilight giggled and turned her attention to Trixie.
“Now, little Ursa Minor, do you want to turn back into a pony?” Twilight asked. The bear nodded as Twilight gave her a potion transforming the Ursa Minor back into Trixie who squeaked. “You better not tell Starlight about this!”
Twilight cooed. “Oh, don’t worry I’m sure most of you would rather not speak of this experience.”
Trixie then quickly ran off as Cadence and Twilight turned their attention to Sunburst and Shining Armor. The two princesses then took out the vials together as they gave each one the vial.
After they finished drinking the two slowly transformed back to adult ponies, except to their surprise they were wearing thick, dark blue nighttime diapers with big crescent moons printed on the back.
Both stallions squeaked in surprise as Shining shouted. “What the?! Why are we wearing night time diapers?!”
Cadence cooed. “A gift from Aunt Luna, it would seem. How adorable. I guess she wanted to plan ahead after you two wet the bed last night. Rebecca Pie told me the regression effects may not completely wear off for twenty four hours.”
Sunburst groaned. “You have got to be kidding me! We’re still in potty training boot camp!”
Shining rubbed a hoof down his face. “This isn’t going to end anytime soon, I know it,” He sighed. “But at least Flurry and Fizzlepop will still have role models.”
Cadence smiled as she lit her horn and poofed the two stallions into cute, dark blue footed pajamas before she cooed. “Alright you two. It’s getting late, so you’re going to go potty and then it’s straight to bed.”
Both stallions groaned and walked off with Cadence.
“She’s still got Mommy Fever, doesn’t she?” Sunburst groaned.
Shining reluctantly nodded. “I’m afraid so, Sunburst,” Then he added. “Sorry I kept calling you a poopy head.”
Sunburst just blushed. “And I’m sorry I kept tattling on you,” He then asked. “By the way, where did you and Crystal Shard go after you poured foal powder on me? How did you manage to get away from Princess Luna without being seen?”
As the two stallions approached the bathroom and Shining locked eyes on the toilet, he simply shook his head. “You don’t wanna know, Sunburst. Trust me.”
Chapter Three: First Day in Potty Training
Shining Armor woke the next morning feeling quite good about himself. He felt safe inside Cadence’s care and nuzzled her belly, feeling safe and secure. The colt turned to see that she seemed to be deep in sleep.
He then blushed and looked down to see his diaper, but something felt off, something almost cold and clammy. He gulped and gave the padding a few pokes with his hoof, hearing it squish. “Ugh, I did pee pee!” Shining groaned as he got up from the bed and saw Sunburst was already up and trying to read a story book. He was flipping through it and was sounding out the words with difficulty. Shining dropped down and came to Sunburst and asked. “Ya fowgot how to wead ow someting?”
Sunburst gave a nod as he fixed his thick plastic glasses and shrugged. “I guess I did. Is strange, I fowgot a wot of stuff but I can stiww sound out some wowds.”
Shining squealed in fright! “Uh oh…ya dun tink I fowgot to wead too, do ya?!” He took the book and gasped upon seeing the words that appeared to be illegible! He babbled. “I…I wecognize some of the lettews and wowds wike cat, but ta west makes no sense!”
Sunburst pointed a hoof at Shining Armor and teased. “See, I towd ya we awe toddwas. We fowgot how to wead. Guess we weawwy awe thwee.”
Shining shook his head and grumbled. “Nah uh, I know my ABCs! A B C D…uh…um…”
Sunburst smirked and babbled. “I know ta next lettew, is E!”
Shining stomped about in a tantrum and shouted. “I know that, ya newd!”
Sunburst smirked, crossed his hooves over his chest, and asked. “What comes aftew E?”
Shining Armor plopped onto his soggy diaper and pondered for a little bit. “Let me tink, I’m suwe I know.”
Sunburst blushed and scrunched his diaper with a sheepish smile. He’d forgotten what came after E too but didn’t want to admit it.
Shining stood up and shouted. “Is Z! I know that Z comes after E!”
Sunburst gave a sheepish smile and shrugged. “Ya suwe? I tink I wemba it being anothew lettew. I tink it was F but I not suwe.”
Shining pointed a hoof and laughed, “Nah uh is Z! I know tat fow suwe.”
“Actually, Sunburst is right, sweetheart. It’s F.” Both colts looked around and saw Princess Cadence smiling down at them.
Sunburst stood up proudly. “Weawwy?! I wememba my ABCs?!”
Cadence giggled at the question and explained. “It would appear so, F does indeed come after E.”
Sunburst nagged at Shining. “See, I know my ABCs!”
Cadence snickered and asked. “Okay then, Sunburst, what comes after F?”
Shining suddenly grinned and with a snicker he teased. “Yeah, Sunburst, come on and sing ta west of ta ABCs.”
The little colt fixed his glasses and whimpered. “I...uh...umm...F...X...uh...Z?”
Shining Armor burst into laughter and Cadence cooed. “Good try, Sunburst, but it looks like both of you forgot your ABCs after all.”
Sunburst pouted and stomped about making his soggy diaper squelch as he whined. “No faiw! I know my ABCs!”
Cadence took Sunburst into her hooves and nuzzled him. “I’m sure you did before the spell. But if things go well with the cure, I’m sure you’ll both have all your memories back,” She then checked Sunburst’s diaper as he squeaked, hearing it squish loudly as the loving mare continued. “My goodness, you’re soaked! And it looks like Shiny is too!” She then picked up both colts with her magic, laid them on the bed and poked at their sodden diapers. “Good thing I taped diapers on both of you, or the sheets would be soaked for sure.”
Both of the colts faces grew red with embarrassment as Cadence continued the change. She slowly untapped the diapers and cleaned the colts rumps with wipes. She then proceeded putting two pull-ups on both colts with her crystal heart cutie mark printed on the padding as she explained. “These are all I have at the moment, I’m sorry. But I wasn’t exactly expecting more little ones.”
Both felt been more embarrassed and Shining Armor whined, these diapers were very recognizable to him. “These awe what ya used to potty twain Twily!” He complained.
Cadence blushed as she remembered. “True, and I remember she loved them way more than her diapers. I kept a few packages for nostalgia, and it’s a good thing I did. I was expecting to use them for Flurry and Fizzlepop, but certainly not on you and Sunburst,” She then bent down and gave each colt a kiss on the cheek. “Besides, you.look amazing in them. Now come on, it’s time for breakfast. And I don’t wanna see any food fights this time, you need to see a good example for Flurry and Fizzlepop”
Both colts groaned as they were led out of the room, feeling the thick padding between their legs.
The two were placed in booster seats and presented with a meal that consisted of pancakes doused in syrup and butter, and cut up into bite sized pieces, complete with hot cocoa in sippy cups. Shining was furious at the fact that he was being treated like a baby, as Cadence was again busy feeding both Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop. He took his sippy cup and tried removing the top of the sippy cup, to no avail.
Cadence saw this and used her magic to plop it into his mouth. Shining squeaked as he suckled on the plastic cup and Sunburst burst into laughter. Shining growled and kicked about but continued to suckle.
Sunburst starting teasing and chanting. “Shiny wikes his sippy cup!”
Cadence turned and scolded Sunburst. “That’s enough of that, Sunburst. Eat your breakfast, sweetheart. Don’t forget, you have a sippy cup too, so you’re in no position to tease Shining.”
Sunburst sighed and continued to chomp on his pancakes, kind of enjoying his time as a toddler. Unlike with his parents, he didn’t feel the pressure to be something he wasn’t so sure he could be.
Shining just rolled his eyes and finished his hot cocoa as he asked. “So, is Flurry’s magic teachew, Webecca Pie, coming ovew today?”
Cadence nodded as she went over to the colts. “Sadly, yes. I may only have a few more hours of babying you two. I was hoping you two could serve as role models for the real little ones,” Both colts looked at each other with smiles on their faces. She then hoisted them both from their high chairs, and plopped them on the table with big pieces of paper and jars of paints. “I want you two to paint me a picture before you turn back to normal, okay?”
Both of the colts were unsure, but Flurry and Fizzlepop were already dipping their hooves into the paint and smearing it all over in delight. And if Cadence wasn’t scolding them it was totally okay for two regressed colts to do it too, right?
Shining Armor and Sunburst both slowly dipped a hoof into a jar of red paint and began to make their own pieces of foalish art. Even with the knowledge that their return to foalhood would soon be over, they weren’t concerned with making it look particularly creative or memorable.
Sometime later, a chubby unicorn mare came trotting into the kitchen. Both Shining Armor and Sunburst were covered in hoof paint. They both blushed seeing Flurry Heart’s old magic teacher. She was wearing big round glasses with a light grey curly mane and a dark grey coat, a stubby horn shooting sparks for a cutie mark, and eyes a soft, faded blue in color. The mare smiled and cooed. “Hello, I’m Rebecca Pie. I’m here to see the poor stallions that were turned into colts.”
Shining Armor raised his hooves (which were covered in a mix of different colored paints) and proclaimed. “Hewe we awe! I Pwince Shiny Awmoa”
Sunburst took his glasses off and mumbled. “And I Sunnybuwst.”
Rebecca Pie took both of the colts into her embrace and nuzzled them, inadvertently getting paint on her.
Cadence (who was busy cleaning the fillies up with a foal wipe) laughed. “Sorry, I didn't realize that you would be here so soon, Miss. Pie.”
Rebecca got up with paint all over her muzzle and laughed. “Oh my, no. It’s my fault, I should've given you a more precise timetable first.”
Cadence hoofed over a foal wipe and let Rebecca wipe her face as the Princess of Love asked. “So, Rebecca...have you ever had to deal with something like this before?”
Both Fizzlepop and Flurry Heart placed their hooves over their eyes in shame and Rebecca Pie tried hard not to smirk. “Well, I wouldn’t say it was the first time I’ve dealt with regression,” She was remembering her own experience. Then the mare turned her attention to the colts, lit her horn, and began scanning the two with magic tendrils.
Princess Cadence was a bit nervous while watching the process unfold. “So, are they okay?”
The mare gave a small blush as her horn dimmed and she answered. “Yes, they’re fine. But the rather powerful magic done to the two has changed them in some ways. Even if we were to turn them back into adults, they may not have full control of their bladders and bowels and would be slightly incontinent.”
Both colts shouted. “What?!”
The mare gave a sigh and explained. “I know that this isn't the news you wanted to hear. I’m sorry that this happened, but if you’ve forgotten your ABCs and how to remove a sippy cup lid, control of your bodily functions is as unpredictable as those of a real toddler. I firmly believe that you need to be potty trained first before using this potion.”
Shining growled and gulped. “Wait, so if ya tuwned us back to nowmaw wight now, we wowd stiww be un-potty twained?”
Rebecca nodded and explained. “That’s correct. And I’m sure you’ll attest it would be a lot easier and less embarrassing potty training you at this age, then when you’re adults. I can imagine the tabolids would have a field day!”
Both colts plopped down and grumbled under their breath in humiliation, but Cadence gave a big smile and clapped her hooves in delight. “Oh, that sounds like fun! I have plenty of experience potty training foals! This will be no different.”
Shining whined. “This is cwazy! Tat’s gonna take foweav, Cady!”
Cadence turned to her husband and explained. “Well, potty training usually does take a while under most circumstances. But lucky for you I have a few tricks guaranteed to get little foals potty trained in less than a month.”
Sunburst nervously whimpered. “Um, so…we obviouswy can’t sweep with ya evewynight. Does tat mean we need ouw own woom?”
Cadence giggled. “That’s right, Sunburst, you’re so smart. It looks like I’m going to have to renovate one of the guests rooms into a room for ,y two little colts.”
Shining rubbed a hoof covered in paint down his face and groaned. “Oh no, this is gonna be a wong month!”
Now long after that, both Shining Armor and Sunburst were seated on their potties again with their pull-ups pulled down to their hooves as Sunburst sighed. “Ya tink owa new woom is gonna be supew embewassin?” He pondered.
Shining whined in confirmation. “Ya know Cady, she gonna make suwe we know we wittwe cowts. At weast I get to sweep with Bwutus Fowce again. I missed having him awound.”
Sunburst sighed again and looked down at his potty, smiling. “I did a pee pee!” He proudly proclaimed.
Shining blushed looking down at his potty. Then he boasted. “I did a poopy! I win!”
Sunburst rolled his eyes as he hopped off his potty. “Nah uh! How do ya win anyting by making a poopy?”
Shining babbled as he explained. “Because tat means I not gonna poop my puww-up today!”
Sunburst scoffed. “Yeah, wew I not gonna do tat eithew. Just ya watch!”
Cadence (having heard the cute conversation) came into the bathroom and cooed. “Oh stop it, you two are both winners for going potty!” She then helped pull the pull-up over Shining’s rump (after making sure to wipe him clean).
He was a bit nervous as he whimpered and asked. “So, is owa new woom weady, Cady?”
Cadence cooed. “Yes it is, and I can’t wait to show you two!”
Sunburst groaned and asked. “Is owa new woom weawwy embewassin?”
Cadence bent down, and helped fix Sunburst into a new pull-up (after also wiping him) and scoffed. “Of course not. I think it’s a perfect room for two toddler colts in potty training,” Then she looked down at them and cooed. “There, you’re in new pull-ups that aren’t too embarrassing. Isn’t that better?”
Both colts checked themselves in the nearby mirror and saw that the new pull-ups oddly enough had Celestia’s cutie mark of a sun printed all over them. Princess Cadence quickly explained. “Celestia had a diaper company produce pull-ups with her cutie mark on them, she figured it was a good way to help motivate little ones. What do you think?”
Both colts blushed and shrugged unsure of what to say. Shining reluctantly spoke up. “Tey fine, at weast tey dun gots pink. Do tey have any fow Pwincess Wuna?”
Cadence chuckled. “Oh yes. She even wore some right after she got back from the moon and was in her weakened state. Celestia recruited me to help potty train her, and let’s just say potty training your aunt who’s supposed to be older than you is super weird,” Then she waved a hoof. ”Now come on, you two It’s time to see your new room.”
Both colts gulped and shook with nervousness, as they waddled down the hall towards a room with a big baby blue door. The words “Shiny and Sunny’s room” was printed in a big white poofy font on the outside. Both colts groaned in unison but as Cadence opened the door, and what the colst saw made their faces turn into a deep shade of red.
The walls were painted with white poofy clouds, and a smiling sun on the ceiling. There was a soft baby blue carpet was on the ground, two beds with protective rails in place on either side, complete with plastic sheets and baby blue blankets covering each bed. A wardrobe stood in the middle with the drawers wide open, revealing the dozens of pullups and nighttime diapers inside. Most noticeable of all though were two potty charts on either side of the wall and Cadence cooed. “Now, here’s how your potty training will go. You will each get a sunny sticker for a day with no accidents. The stormy cloud sticker means you had a small accident. And the angry cloud sticker means you had a big accident. The goal is to have ten sun stickers and then I’ll turn you back to normal.”
Both of the colts groaned again as Shining asked. “So, wha about nighttime stickews? Is hawd to go potty at night. Fwurry says so.”
Cadence blushed, she hadn’t really thought of that. ”Well…I was thinking we start from this age and give you a little bit of the potion, increasing your age slowly. We can start with the first dose today since you two had no daytime accidents. After I know that you don’t have accidents during the day, I'll begin nighttime training when you’re a little older and have more control, and from there you will eventually turn back into an adult. However, get too many stormy or angry clouds and I’ll put you in diapers for a day.”
Both of the colts groaned and Cadence continued. “There’s one more thing I need to explain. As potty training may take some time, I decided to put you both in preschool.”
Both foals looked up and whined. “But why?!”
Cadence cooed as she told them. “I have a lot of work to do and I can’t play with or supervise you all day. This way I have someone I can trust keeping an eye on you two, as well as Flurry Heart and Fizzlepop. Don’t worry, I told them that Shining Armor and Sunburst are on vacation and that you two are my cousins Cloudy Day and Sunny Day .”
Both of the colts both plopped onto their pull-ups and rubbed their faces, anticipating that this was going to be the most embarrassing month ever. If potty training didn’t embarrass them to death, preschool surely would.
