Chapter 1: Enter Twilight Sparkle and Drew Spirit-Mane
(Theme Song )
(10 years later...)
“Hmm... Elements of Harmony.” A young girl with lavender skin, long lavender hair and purple eyes thought as she sat under the shade of a tree, reading a book. She wore a dark vest over a light purple button-down blouse that covered her chest, a skirt that reached the end of her thighs, long purple socks that reached her knees and dark purple shoes. She had pony ears and a long lavender tail. “I’ve known I’ve heard those before...but where?”
“Reading again, T-S?” A familiar voice spoke up, causing the said girl to jump and look up to see a young man, wearing a golden shirt with the picture of the sun and blue trousers. His black hair was short and slightly wild. He wore red sneakers and his blue eyes sparkled in the sun. He had pony-like ears and a black flowing tail behind him. “Drew!” Twilight exclaimed, grinning at him.
“Good to see you, T-S.” Drew replied as Twilight got to her feet and they began walking to the castle. “You’ve been reading non-stop for 5 straight days, is it about the Maiden of the Moon?” Twilight frowned at that. “I’m just worried.” She replied. “From what I read, on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about eternal night!”
“Today is the thousandth year,” she added. “and soon the Summer Sun Celebration will start.” “That’s when Nightmare Moon will escape.” “I see.” Drew replied. “Maybe, it has something to do with the dreams I’ve been having.”
“Is it about those strange dreams about your aunt, Luna?” Twilight asked in a worried frown. Drew nodded sadly. “She speaks to me in my dreams; she tell me she enjoys my company since she’s always lonely.” “She seems so sad...” He added. “I feels as if she’s trying to warn me of something.”
“Well, don’t worry about it.” Twilight suggested, grinning at him. “I’m sure we can figure this out!” Drew smiled. As long as he can remember, Twilight Sparkle was his closest friend and his mother’s best student. Being the son of Princess Celestia, he was known as the prince of Equestria. He was very popular among the citizens of Canterlot, but with Twilight Sparkle, they were practically inseperable.
“Prince Drew, Twilight; there you are!” Three girls approached them: Lemon Hearts, Twinkleshine and Minuette; there of their fellow classmates. “Moon Dancer is having a little get-together in the west castle courtyard. You wanna come?”
“Oh, sorry, girls...” Twilight chuckled awkwardly. “I've got a lot of studying to catch up on and I already promised Drew to help me with my research.” Drew shook his head. Twilight may be Celestia’s skilled student, but when it came to meeting with other people, she was like a stuttering chipmunk.
“Anyway, gotta go see ya!!” With that, Twilight grabbed Drew’s hand and dragged him away. The girls watched in disappointment. Twinkle-shine sighed. “Does that girl do anything except study?” She muttered. “I think she's more interested in books than friends.” “Not everyone.” Lemon Heart added. “The prince is especially close to her.” They sighed dreamily at the thought of the handsome Drew.
(5 mins later...)
Twilight was scouring the shelves of books in the library. Meanwhile, Drew and Spike, a small boy with green dragon scales in his ears; and wearing a purple jacket over a green shirt and purple pants with green sneakers just watched on.
“How long has she been at this?” Spike asked his older brother-figure. Drew sighed. “Too be honest, I have no idea.” He replied before turning to Twilight. “T-S, don’t you think you should take a break from this?”
“No!” The lavender girl exclaimed, making them jump a bit. “Your mom needs to know about this!” “If my hunch is correct,” she added. “Nightmare Moon will escape and Equestria will be in great danger!” “Ah!” She cried as she took a book from the shelf. “Elements of Harmony, see: Maiden in the Moon ?”
“Maiden in the Moon?” Spike asked. “Isn’t that the girl who’s been appearing in your dreams, Drew; I thought it’s just an old wives’ tale.” “Not really.” Drew replied. “She’s been calling me to help her, to free her from the darkness; whatever that means.”
“This is it!” The two boys turned to Twilight who read out loud. “The Maiden in the Moon, myth from olden times. A powerful sorceress who wanted to rule Equestria, defeated by the Elements of Harmony and imprisoned in the moon. Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about nighttime eternal !”
“Guys, do you know what this means?” She gasped. The two boys exchanged looks. “Uh...” They spoke before interrupted by Twilight. “Exactly!” She exclaimed. “Spike, take a note please to the Princess.” “Okie Dokie!” Spike replied, taking out a parchment and began writing it down with a quill.
“My dearest teacher, ” Twilight spoke up. “my continuing studies of unicorn magic have led me to discover that we are on the precipice of disaster! ” “Hold on...” Spike muttered. “Perci...perci...” “How about we choose brink?” Drew suggested, smirking a bit. “It’s easier for Spike to spell it.” Spike pouted at him, but continued to write
“Anyway...” Twilight spoke up. “For you see, the mythical Maiden in the Moon is in fact Nightmare Moon, and she's about to return to Equestria, and bring with her eternal night! Something must be done to make sure this terrible prophecy does not come true. I await your quick response. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. ”
“Twi... light Spar... kle. Got it!” Spike muttered as he finished writing the note. “Great!” Twilight affirmed. “Now send it!” “Now?” Spike asked in surprise. “Of course!” Twilight replied. “Are you sure about this, T-S?” Drew asked. “Mom’s a little busy preparing for the Summer Sun Celebration and it’s like, the day after tomorrow.”
“That’s just it, Drew!” Twilight exclaimed, getting close to him and making him jump again. “The day after tomorrow is the thousandth year of the Summer Sun Celebration! It's imperative that your Mom is told right away!” "Okay..." Drew gulped nervously, “Still, would you mind backing up a bit, you’re awfully close to me.”
Twilight’s eyes widened when she noticed how ‘close’ she was to Drew and backed away, blushing furiously. “Sorry, sorry!!” She exclaimed, trying to calm her beating heart. “There!” Spike spoke up. “The letter’s on it’s way, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.”
Twilight smiled proudly. “The Princess trusts me completely.” She replied. “In all the years, she’s been my mentor who never once doubted me.” “And she just so happens to be Drew’s mother...” she added. "If she won't listen to me, I'm sure she'll listen to him."
Drew and Spike didn’t look convinced. Suddenly, Spike burped out green flames and a scroll emerged and floated in the air. Drew took the scroll and unrolled it. “It’s from my mom.” He replied, clearing his throat.
“My dearest, most faithful student Twilight...” He read it out loud. “You know that I value your diligence and that I trust you completely.” Twilight beamed proudly as she listened. However, her pride quickly withered away when Drew continued. “but you simply must stop reading those dusty old books!”

“WHAT?!” Twilight exclaimed, her jaw dropping. Drew and Spike just sighed. “So much for my mom’s input...” Drew muttered.

Chapter 2: Welcome to Pony-Ville!
A small golden carriage pulled by to pegasi guards descended from the sky and landed on the ground in the town of Ponyville. “This is it!” Drew exclaimed as they hopped off. “Welcome to Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle!” The town was bustiling with activity, people were going about their business as usual.
Twilight sighed. “Drew, we don’t have time; your mom put me in charge of the preparations of the Summer Sun Celebration.” She explained. “As her student, I must perform my royal duties; Equestria’s fate does not rely on me making friends.”
“Come on, Twilight.” Spike added. “Maybe, this place is great for making friends.” “I’m sure everyone in Ponyville have interesting things to talk about.” “Like her.” They turned to see a girl with pink hair that looked like cotton candy with beautiful blue eyes and large size breasts walking towards them.
She wore a pink top with three balloons on the front, which exposed her midriff, blue daisy dukes with brown suspenders over her shoulders, brown fingerless gloves, pink stocking with one blue pattern of yellow polka dots and another, blue and yellow stripes. She had brown knee-high boots and behind her, a puffy pink tail.
“Allow me...” Drew spoke, before he went up to the pink girl. “Hello, miss.” He greeted. “I’m Drew Spirit-Mane, and these are my friends; Twilight-Sparkle and Spike.” “We’re here to help with the-”
Before he could continue, the pink girl squealed with delight, jumped two feet in the air and sped off to Celestia knows where. The three friends just stared blankly for a moment. “Well, that was interesting all right.” Twilight muttered, causing Drew and Spike to sigh.
(5 mins later...)
“Okay, first off is the food.” Spike said as they walked down the road to Sweet Apple Acres. “I’ve heard Sweet Apple Acres makes the best apple pies in all of Equestria.” Drew added, licking his lips with delight.
“YEE-HAW!!” The three heard a loud cow-boy yell and turned around to see an orange-skinned girl kicking a tree with her right leg, making the apples fall into several baskets. She had long blond hair, tied up into a ponytail, freckles, green eyes, an orange blouse with rolled up sleeves, and a knot right below her breasts, showing her midriff, blue jeans, brown cowboy boots and a hat. She had a long light-yellow tail, held by a headband.
“Hello there!” Drew exclaimed. The orange-haired girl turned around to see them. “Howdy there, y’all!” She greeted with a smile. “Name’s Applejack, pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
Twilight cleared her throat. “Ehem! Good afternoon, my name is Twilight Sparkle and this is Drew Spirit-Mane and Spike. I’m here to-” She tried to introduce herself, only for Applejack to shake both her and Drew’s hand vigorously.
“Howdy there, Miss Sparkle and Mr Spirit-Mane!” The blond girl replied with a big smile while tipping her hat. “Pleasure to meet ya! Here in Sweet Apple Acres, we like meetin’ new faces and makin’ all kinds of friends!”
“Perfect timing!” She added. “Ya 'all just in time for the’ Apple Family reunion!” “Really?” Drew was excited. “I would love to meet your family.” Twilight’s eyes widened. “Oh no, no, no, we just need to know what’s there going to be.” She explained, trying to decline her offer.
Applejack grinned. “That’s the’ thing about the’ Apple Family!” She exclaimed proudly. “Ya can do both at once!” She rang a bell before yelling. “SOUP’s ON EVERYBODY!!” Suddenly, the earth began to shake as a loud rumbling sound was heard and a stampede came into view.
In a few moments, Drew, Twilight and Spike found themselves in chairs and surrounded by countless people. “Meet the Apple Family!” The cowgirl spoke before taking a deep breath and announced them all. “There’s Apple Fritter. Apple Bumpkin. Red Gala. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Caramel Apple, Apple Strudel, Apple Tart, Baked Apples, Apple Brioche, Apple Cinnamon Crisp... ”
“And mah side of the family: Lil Apple-Bloom, Big McIntosh and finally, Granny Smith!” she finished, pointing to the sleeping elderly woman on the chair. “Granny Smith, wake up! We got guest to stick around for the party!”
The woman woke up from her nap “Eh? Ya’ all starting already? I’m coming.” Applejack grinned at the three friends. “Why, I'd say you three are already part of the family!” Drew smiled back while Twilight laughed nervously. “Okay, well, I can see the food situation is handled, so we'll be on our way.” She added.
“Aren’t you going to stay for brunch?” A small girl with a big red tie on her head asked cutely. “Sorry, but we have an awful lot to do...” Twilight tried to explain but something interuppted her.
*Growl~~*
Everyone’s eyes widened and turned to Drew, who blushed in embarrassment. “Sorry, that’s my stomach...” He chuckled. “I don’t suppose you can spare a bit or two.” The whole Apple family cheered while Twilight groaned and slammed her head on the table.
(3 hours later...)
“Oh man....” Drew moaned with pleasure. “How many pies did we eat, T-S?” “I lost count...” Twilight groaned as she rubbed her stomach. “Well then, the Apples were good people,” Spike commented. “Don’t you think they could be great friends?”
“Spike, Drew...” Twilight asked. “What do friends do?” “Well, friends play games together...” Drew replied. “They talk to each other, share their feelings, spend time together...” “Get in the way of studies by wasting your time with meaningless activities.” Twilight interrupted, making the two boys groan.
She looked at Drew. “Drew, the time we wasted having a simple lunch fest should have been spent doing more productive procedures, like getting through this business a lot quicker. If we finish the job faster, we can spend more time gaining knowledge and Knowledge is Power, Drew. And when your Mom ends up needing help with Nightmare Moon, I’m going to need power.” Twilight said with finality.
Drew sighed. “You know, it wouldn’t kill you to loosen up a bit.” He pointed out. “You know the saying: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. ” Twilight frowned at his reply. “Are you calling me dull?” She accused a bit.
“No...” Drew replied. “I’m saying that my Mom wants you to make friends other than me.” “She wants you to expand your horizons, meet and discover new things.” He added. “She doesn’t want you to spend the rest of your life with your head in the books”
Twilight looked at him, before sighing. “I’m sorry, Drew.” She apologized. “It’s just that you were the only one who’s closest to me and I-” Before she could say anything, a rainbow streak collided with her and sending them tumbling to the ground in a mud puddle. *SPLAT!!*
“Twilight!” Drew exclaimed as he and Spike rushed over to her. “Are...you...okay?” He stopped and his eyes widened when he saw Twilight all muddy, her clothes drenched and her midriff see-through. What was even more embarrassing was the girl on top of her.
She had short rainbow striped hair, goggled strapped on it, a light short blue shirt that exposed her midriff, short sports pants that reached her thighs and showed off her slender legs and white sneakers and a rainbow tail.
Twilight’s face was flushed red like a tomato. “Oh...Hehe, sorry there.” The rainbow haired girl chuckled sheepishly as she took off to the sky with two blue wings. “Here, let me help you up.” She offered, picking her up by her shoulders.
“...Thanks...” Twilight muttered, as she was covered in mud. “I take it you must be Rainbow Dash?” Drew asked her. The said girl grinned. “Yep, that’s me, the one and only!” She replied. “And you guys must be new around here.” Drew nodded. “Yes, I’m Drew and this is Spike, you already meet Twilight Sparkle.”
“Yeah...” Rainbow Dash replied. “Lemme help you with that” She flew away and returned with a dark cloud. She positioned it on top of the lavender girl and jumped on it, causing it to rain on her.
Soon, Twilight was a soaking wet rag, with a very unamused face. “Hehe...whoops” Rainbow commented. “Looks like I overdid it.” “Ya think?” Drew and Twilight asked with raised eyebrows. “Here, how about this?” Rainbow began spinning around Twilight, making a tornado.
“Cool!!” Drew exclaimed with sparkling eyes. Rainbow grinned proudly “My very own patented Rain-Blow Dry!” “No need to thank me, it’s what I can do for-” She stopped talking when she Twilight’s hair was all fluffy and puffed up like a giant cotton-ball.
“Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!” Rainbow burst out laughing like a manic, falling out the ground as she rolled in laughter-followed by Spike who joined her on the ground, holding his sides. Drew managed to stay up but he seemed to be snickering silently to himself.
Twilight was not amused. “What?” She asked, a bit upset. “Sorry...hehehe...T-S...” Drew replied, between chuckles. “It’s hard....to take you...hehehe...seriously, with your hair...like that...hehehe...” Twilight shot him an annoyed look before turning to the rainbow girl. “So, you’re Rainbow Dash?” She asked.
“You got it!” Rainbow replied proudly. “Rainbow Dash, captain of the weather team and the fastest flier in Equestria. You heard of me?” “Well, we’re in charge of supervising for the Summer Sun Celebration.” Drew explained.
“That’s it?” Rainbow asked, stretching her arms before jumping onto a white cloud and lying on top of it like a bed. “Don’t worry, folks.” She added. “I'll do that in a sec- after I'm done practicing.” “Practice for what?” Twilight asked, raising an eyebrow.
“The Wonder-Bolts!” Rainbow gestured to a nearby poster on the wall, showing the Wonder-Bolts. “They’re going to be performing at the Celebration tomorrow, and I’m going to show them my sweet moves!!”
“The Wonder-Bolts?” Drew asked. “Aren’t they the fastest and talented flyers in all of Equestria?” “Yep!” Rainbow replied. “And you’re looking their future member!!” “Pfft! Please,” The lavender girl scoffed. “They'd never accept a Pegasus who can't even keep the sky clear for one measly day.”
“Twilight, please.” Drew placed a hand on her shoulder, making her blush. “What she means is, we have heard of your amazing speed when it comes to flying and we would love to see it first hand, Rainbow.” The said girl looked surprised and blushed a little.
“Well, I can clear the sky in ten seconds flat.” “Really?” Drew smirked. “How about five seconds?” Twilight and Spike’s eyes widened while Rainbow smirked back before she strapped her goggles on. “Bring it...” She replied with fire in her eyes and her cyan wings spread out.
Drew grinned, before he took out a stopwatch. “Then... GOOO!!” He shouted, pressing the button. In an instant, Rainbow blasted into the sky, leaving a rainbow trail following behind her.
She smashes through every cloud that was there-making several connections cross each path, forming a sort of paint pattern in the sky. Finally, she landed on the ground, not even breaking a sweat.
Drew stopped the timer on his watched and looked at it. “Exactly five seconds... Now, that’s cool.” The rainbow-haired girl grinned at him. “Heh! That’s right, I’m awesome!” She replied. Meanwhile, Twilight and Spike had their jaws open in shock, which Rainbow noticed. “Ha! You two should see the looks on your faces, they’re priceless!”
She began flying again. “You guys are a laugh!” She exclaimed. “We should hang out together sometime!” “Anyways, I have to go and finish a few things! See you later!” With that, she zoomed away to the sky. “See ya!” Drew called back, waving at her.
“She...was...awesome!!” Spike yelled. “Yeah!” Drew added. “I can see why my Mom put her in charge of the weather...don’t you think so, T-S?” He asked her, only to see her walking away. “Hey, wait up!!” He called, as he and Spike raced after her.
(5 mins later...)
“Next, decorations.” Spike said, as he checked the list while looking around the Town Hall. “...Beautiful...” “Yes, it is.” Twilight replied while looking at the decorations. “With all this, I'll be at the library in no time to continue my research.”
“Not the décor...Her...” Spike corrected her and pointed at, without a doubt, the most gorgeous being there ever was. She was a gorgeous woman with long purple hair with a swirl and curly locks, fair skin and a purple star tattoo under her left eye.
She wore a white, long-sleeved blouse with a hole that revealed her cleavage, which was a sizable D-cup breast; a long purple skirt, combined with a pair of purple ankle high socks and black stockings. Behind her was a long, elegant purple tail.
Right now, she was elegantly putting up ribbons, carefully perfecting each precision, not leaving any flaws. “No...No...No...Ugh!” She pouted. “It won’t do at all!” “Quick!” Spike began checking on himself. “Tell me, are my scales alright? Does my breath stink? Are my clothes alright?”
Drew smiled. “Excuse me, miss?” He turned to the purple haired girl. “Are you in charge of the decorations?” "Just a moment, please!" The said girl replied as she continued to place ribbons. “I'm 'in the zone', as it were.” “Ah, perfect!” She exclaimed as she tied the last ribbon in place. “Now, how can I help yo-” She stopped and gasped when she saw Drew.
His blue eyes sparkled like gems and his black hair gleamed like velvet. He had a kind and friendly look on his face. “H-H-Hello, t-there...” She stuttered, her cheeks red. “I’m R-R-Rarity.” “Nice to meet you, Rarity.” Drew replied. “My friends and I are here to check up on the decorations.”
“Oh, of course!” Rarity clapped her hands together and turned around. “Please allow me to show you around, I’m sure you’ll love my-Oh my stars!” It was then she saw Twilight’s hair. “What happened to your hair?!”
The lavender girl looked embarrassed at her hair. “Well, it's a long story. I'm just here to check on the decorations, and then I'll be on my way.” However, Rarity was having none of it. “On your way? With that hairy monstrosity?” She went behind her. “Nonono! Absolutely not! You’re coming with me!”
“H-Huh?! What are you doing?!” Twilight began freaking out as she was led away by Rarity. “Drew, help!!” “Sorry, Twilight!” Drew called back as he walked out. “I have to check on the music for the festival!” “Spike can handle things here!” He waved at her. “Meet you at the library!” “DREW!!!” Twilight screamed before Rarity pushed her behind curtains while followed by a love sick Spike.
(5 mins later...)
Drew chuckled to himself. Part of him felt bad about leaving Twilight but then again, maybe this will help her to be more social. Unlike him, Twilight was really interested in making friends. She preferred the company of books that other people. The only friend she ever had was him, and even then, the only time they hang out together was when they were studying, or Twilight needed him to test out with her magic.
Nevertheless, Drew was the only friend Twilight knew and he vowed to stay by her side. It was then he heard the melody of birds singing. Curious, he followed it to see where it was coming from. Right in front of him was a beautiful woman with yellowish skin and wearing a pale-yellow sweater with long sleeves that covered her incredible E-sized bust.
She had long pink silky hair that flooded down to her waist, long green pants and green loafers. She was singing along with the birds, her voice was so melodious that it would make any man fall for her beauty and voice. “Uh, excuse me...” Drew spoke, getting her attention.
The girl gasped and turned around while the birds flew off. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to disturb you.” He apologized. “I believe you must be rehearsing for tonight’s Festival, is that right?” “Y-Yes, sir.” The girl replied softly, her hair covering half her face.
“You don’t need to call me that.” Drew smiled at her. “I’m Drew, and my friend and I are here to supervise for the Summer Sun Celebration.” “N-Nice... to... m-meet you, Drew-w-w...” The girl replied, blushing a bit. “I’m Flutter-Shy...”
“Nice to meet you too, Flutter-Shy.” Drew replied. “I see you have a way with animals.” Flutter-Shy blushed a bit and smiled softly. “DREW!!” She jumped at the sudden angry voice and hid behind Drew as he turned around to see a very annoyed Twilight Sparkles. “H-H-Hey, TS?” He asked nervously. “How ya doing?”
“How I’m doing?!” Twilight yelled angrily. “What kind of guy leaves his friends with someone who’s been making my hair into a mannequin!?” “Sorry...” Drew gulped nervously. “Hey, look on the bright side; the music is sounding great, so you don’t have to worry about it.”
“Anyway, this is Flutter-Shy,” He added, gesturing to the shy pink-haired girl behind him. “She’s in charge of the music for tonight’s Festival.” “Flutter-Shy, this is Twilight Sparkle; she will be supervising the Summer Sun Celebration.” “H-Hello... Twilight...” Shy stuttered.
Twilight sighed. “Well, may I have a look at the music?” She asked. “Oh...sure...” Shy replied before turning to her feathered friends who returned. “Okay, everyone, let’s do a quick rehearsal, ready?” The birds nodded. “A one, a two, a three!”
The song began; a lovely, cheery song that made one feel like you are flying like a bird, that rests your mind and body, that fills you with warmth like soaking in a warm milk bath. When it was finished, Twilight and Drew were beyond amazed. “That...was amazing!!” Twilight exclaimed, smiling.
“Yeah!” Spike added, causing Flutter-Shy to look at him and gasp. “A baby dragon!!” She squealed, bumping Twilight away and looking at Spike with a gushed face. “Oh, I've never seen one up close before. He's sooo cute!” She exclaimed, making Spike beam with pride.
“Well, well, well...!” Spike replied smugly while Drew helped Twilight up. “She’s quite the animal lover, isn’t she?” Drew asked. “Yeah, thanks by the way.” Twilight replied. “Well, in that case we'd better be going.” “Wait! What’s his name?” Flutter-Shy asked.
“I’m Spike.” The dragon boy replied, causing Flutter-Shy to gasp again. “Wow, you can talk?!” Flutter-Shy replied. “I never met a talking dragon before; I’m Flutter-Shy.” “So, what do dragons like to talk about?” She asked.
“Well, what do you wanna know?” Spike asked. Shy grinned. “Absolutely everything .” Twilight groaned while Drew smiled. As they walked on, Spike began telling Flutter-Shy his story. “Well... I started out as a cute little purple and green egg...”
(3 hours later...)
As time passed, Spike told Flutter-Shy his entire story who listened in fascination. Drew lagged behind so he could get to know Flutter-Shy better. However, Twilight was growing more impatient and annoyed by the minute.
“...and that's the story of my whole entire life! Well, up until today. Do you wanna hear about today?” Spike asked. “Oh, yes, please!” Shy replied, excitedly only for Twilight to pull Spike and Drew to her. “Oh, look at that, we’ve arrived!” She exclaimed, as they stopped at a library carved from a great oak tree. “The Golden Oak Library!”
“Well, this is where we’ll be staying in Pony-Ville and my poor baby dragon needs his sleep.” She explained “No, I don-Whoa!!” Spike exclaimed as Twilight grabbed him. “Aww, wook at dat, he's so sweepy he can't even keep his widdle bawance!” She spoke in baby talk, making Drew roll his eyes.
“Aww, poor thing...” Shy cooed as she scooped Spike up in her arms. “You simply must get into bed...” “Exactly!” Twilight added, as she grabbed Drew and Spike and pushed them inside. “Well, we'll get right on that. Well, g'night!” With that, she slammed the door on Shy’s face.
(Inside the Golden Oak Library...)
“Geez, Twilight?” Spike asked, slightly annoyed. “Rude much?” “Yeah,” Drew agreed. “She’s just being friendly.” “I’m sorry, guys.” Twilight replied, sighing a bit. “But I have to convince the Princess that Nightmare Moon is coming, and we're running out of time!”
“I just need to be alone so I can study without a bunch of crazy people trying to make friends all the time” She added. “Now, where’s the light?”
“SURPRISE!!!”
Twilight, Spike and Drew jumped up in surprise as the lights came on to reveal several people inside the library. “Surprise!!” The pink girl from earlier jumped out and blew a noise maker at their faces. “So much for being alone... ” Drew pointed out, much to Twilight’s annoyance.
“Hi guys! I’m Pinkie Pie,” The pink girl exclaimed cheerfully, bouncing all around them like a ball. “and I threw this party just for you! Were you surprised? Were ya? Were ya? Huh huh huh?” “Very surprised...” Drew replied, chuckling a bit. “Is that why you ran off in such a hurry?”
“Yep!” Pinkie confirmed it. “You were all "hello" and I was all *gasp*, remember? Y'see I've never saw you before and if I've never saw you before that means you're new, 'cause I know everybody, and I mean everybody in Ponyville!” Drew stared before smiling. “I like you already...” Pinkie squealed before leaning up to him. “Really...you like me....?” She asked, her eyes sparkling.
“Ahem...” Twilight cleared her throat to get Drew’s attention. “I’m sorry,” She said as she walked to a nearby table. “but libraries are supposed to be quiet ” “Well, that’s silly!” Pinkie exclaimed. “What kind of welcome party would this be if it were quiet? I mean, duh, bo-ring!”
“Besides, if you guys are new,” she added. “that meant you haven't met anyone yet, and if you haven't met anyone yet, you must not have any friends, and if you don't have any friends then you must be lonely, and that made me so sad, then I had an idea, and that's why I went *gasp*! I must throw a great big ginormous super-duper spectacular welcome party and invite everyone in Pony-Ville!” She gestured to the bunch of people all around them. “And now, you’ve got lots of new friends!”
To Drew’s surprise, the four girls they met before arrived; Applejack, Rainbow-Dash, Rarity and Flutter-Shy. “Hey, girls.” He replied. “I didn’t expect to see you girls here soon.” “Well, we really didn’t have a choice.” Rainbow smirked. “Pinkie wasn’t taking ‘No’ for an answer.”
“Anyway, darling.” Rarity asked. “What’s it like living in Canterlot?” “Is it as glamorous or exciting?!” She eagerly leaned closer to Drew. “Tell me, what are the clothes like?” “Simmer down, sugar-belle.” Applejack chuckled. “You’re making him uncomfortable...”
“Well, it is exciting...” Drew replied. “Mother told me stories about the land of Equestria and how it was founded by the three pony-folk tribes.” “Your mom?” Rainbow asked. “Yep.” Drew nodded, proudly. “I’m sure you’ve heard of her, Princess Celestia.” Silence fell...

“WHHHHHAAAAAAT!?” The entire library seemed to shake and everyone’s jaws were hanging. “YOU’RE CELESTIA’S SON?!” Rainbow screamed as she got close to Drew, who recoiled a bit. “YOU’RE HER SON?!” “NO WAY!!” Pinkie squealed. “YOU’RE A PRINCE?!”
“Yep...” Drew chuckled in embarrassment. “Her adopted son, Prince Drew!” “Well howdy do!” Applejack exclaimed. “If I had known you were royalty, I would have made my famous apple-cobbler cream cake!!” “Oh my, forgive me, your highness.” Shy stuttered, her face red.
“P-P-Prince...” Rarity stuttered. “Oh...MY...STARS!!!” She squealed, before grabbing hold of Drew’s shoulders. “TELL ME!!” She exclaimed, her eyes sparkling. “What’s it like as a prince?!” “What’s it like living in the palace, having servants, fancy clothes.... Please, I Must Know!!!”
“Uhhh...” Drew mumbled, a little embarrassed as everyone else gathered around him.
Twilight just looked on. Strangly, she was a little peeved seeing how close those other girls were to Drew. She felt a pain in her heart whenever Rarity held him at his shoulders. “What is this?” She thought. “Why do I feel this way?”
Shaking his head, she poured some soda into a cup and drank from. However, her face grew red, and smoke seemed to blow out from her ears. “T-S, are you okay?” Drew asked. Her response was a loud whistling sound from her ears as she jumped up five feet in the air and bolted up to her room.
“What’s with her?” Drew asked. “Aww...” Pinkie Pie cooed. “Aww, she's so happy she's crying!” “Actually, I think it’s this.” Spike replied, picking up a red bottle from the table and the label clearly read ‘Hot Sauce.’
Drew sighed, before he poured himself a cup of lemon-lime soda and stood at the center of the room. “Citizens of Pony-Ville!” He announced. “As, prince of Equestria, I wish to thank you all for your hard work and dedication and it is an honor to celebrate this day!”
“The day where our glorious Princess Celestia rise the sun of every day, to the fullest of our lives.” He continued as everyone watched him with wide smiles. “Without it, we all wouldn’t be able to see all those we love and value our beautiful home we all cherish together.” He raised his cup high. “To Princess Celestia and to Equestria!!”
“To Princess Celestia and to Equestria!!” They all called out and drank from their glasses. For Drew, this has been an exciting day for him. If only Twilight could see it this way.

Chapter 3: The Return of Nightmare Moon!
The party continued until late in the night while Twilight tossed and turned in her bed. She couldn’t sleep with all that racket coming from downstairs. “Hey Twilight!” Spike exclaimed as he and Drew came through the door. “Pinkie Pie's starting "pin the tail on the pony"! Wanna play?”
“No!” Twilight snapped. “Everyone in this town is crazy!! Do you know what time it is?!” “It's the eve of the Summer Sun Celebration.” Drew replied. “Everyone can stay up late so they can see my mom raise the sun.” “You can come join us if you want.” He added.
“Sorry, Drew...” Twilight replied. “I’m not going to waste my time with parties when I can be planning for Nightmare Moon’s return.” Spike sighed. “Come on, Twilight.” He suggested. “You really should lighten up. It's a party!” As he turned to go, Drew noticed Twilight imitating Spike in a mocking way, making him frown slightly while she laid back down on her bed.
“Urgh!!” She groaned. “Drew, I thought I'd have time to learn about the Elements of Harmony, to find a way to stop Nightmare Moon!!” “But, silly me, all this ridiculous friend-making has kept me from it!” She muttered, turning to Drew only to freeze when he saw Drew looking at her right in her eyes.
“Twilight...” Drew spoke up. “Do you remember why my mom chose you as her student?” “She chose you because she wanted you to expand your horizons.” He explained. “She wanted you to step out of your comfort zone, to see the world for your own eyes instead from a book.”
“You are a great student and my closest friend,” He added. “but you know you can’t push people away when there’re reaching out to you.” “Even in Canterlot,” He pointed out. “you pushed our classmates away.” “Even our times spent together was either studying or testing new spells.” Twilight remained silent, but continued to stare at her friend in shock
“I’m sure you can make a lot of friends, Twilight.” He finished. “I know it, Spike knows it, even my mom, Princess Celestia knows it.” “Don’t let your books hold you back.” He advised her. “Learn to accept the people around you.” “You’re missing out on all the fun.” Twilight didn’t say anything, she just laid back on her bed and turned to her side so that her back was facing him.
Drew sighed. “I’ll see you downstairs.” He spoke up. “I’ll save you some cupcakes.” With that, he left the room, closing the door behind him. Twilight looked out at the window at the full moon. Drew’s words continued to echo in her head, but it did little to ease her worries.
“Legend has it that on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape, and she will bring about everlasting night ” She remembered the legend. “I want to make friends, Drew.” She said sadly. “I just wish it was easy for me, like it is for you...”
“I hope the Princess was right... I hope it really is just an old pony tale...” She whispered to herself as she continued to stare at the full moon. At that moment, Drew and Spike walked back into the room. “Come on, Twilight!” Spike exclaimed. “It's time to watch the sunrise!”
Twilight sighed, before looking at Drew. He was looking at her, his blue eyes seemed to stare right into her soul. Twilight felt her heart beat a little faster and her cheeks heat up. “Are you ready?” Drew asked and offered her his hand. Twilight looked at him and sighed, before taking his hand and making him smile.
(In Pony-Ville's Town Hall...)
The whole town was assembled at the Town Hall, the banners hung from the ceiling and streamers and ribbons wrapped around the columns. Twilight, Drew and Spike were there as well, along with the 5 other girls.
“Isn't this exciting?” Pinkie squealed. “Are you excited?! 'Cause I'm excited! I've never been so excited!” “Well, except for the time that I saw you guys walking into town and I went gaaaaasp !” Her eyes grew so wide they could have popped out of their sockets. “But I mean, really, who can top that?”
Twilight rolled her eyes while Drew and Spike chuckled. “I always loved it when Mother raised the sun.” Drew spoke up, smiling. “Even as a baby, she would always take me outside so I could watch the sunrise.” “Whenever I feel its rays shining down on me,” he added. “it always feels like her warm arms wrapped around me, like her hugs.” “She gives the best hugs...”
Twilight smiled in agreement. Soon, Shy’s bird fanfare sounded, and Mayor Mare emerged on stage with a spotlight shining down on her. “Ladies and Gentlemen!” She spoke through the microphone. “As mayor of Ponyville, it is my great pleasure to announce the beginning of the Summer Sun Celebration!”
The crowd cheered as she continued. “In just a few moments, our town will witness the magic of the sunrise, and celebrate this, the longest day of the year!” Everyone cheered again, Drew cheered the loudest. He always looked forward to seeing his mother raise the sun. Twilight giggled when she saw his reaction but grew worried when she noticed the silhouette on the moon was gone.
“And now!” She announced. “It is my great honor to introduce to you the ruler of our land, the very pony who gives us the sun and the moon each and every day!” She pointed up to the balcony. “The bringer of harmony to all of Equestria... Princess Celestia!!”
Everyone watched in anticipation as Rarity pulled back the curtains. All of them eager to see their beloved princess, eager to watch her raise the sun, eager to find...an empty pedestal. Everyone was surprised and shocked. “M-Mom?” Drew asked, shocked and worried.
“This can’t be good...” Twilight muttered, worried as well. The crowd began murmuring and whispering nervously. “Now, remain calm everyone!” Mayor Mare tried to settle the nervous crowd. “I’m sure there must be a reasonable explanation!”
“Ooh, ooh!” Pinkie raised her hand. “I love guessing games! Is she hiding?” “No!” Rarity cried out in shock. “She’s gone!!” Everyone gasped in horror. For Drew, he felt the color drain from his face. “Gone...!?” He exclaimed. “What do you mean ‘gone’, where’s my mother?!”
“Calm down, Prince Drew...!” Mayor Mare exclaimed. “I’m sure your mother is on her way!” However, it seemed that fate proved her wrong when a dark blue mist appeared on the balcony and swirled around, making everyone gasp. “Oh no...” Twilight muttered, knowing full well who it was.
Soon, the mist split apart to reveal a beautiful woman with long flowing blue hair and wearing dark black armor on her top, arms and hands. She wore a long blue skirt that reached and covered her legs and behind her, were two large, black wings. The most terrifying were her eyes, a malevolent bluish purple, the color of darkness.
Everyone’s eyes widened in horror. Twilight was especially nervous. “No...Nightmare Moon...” She whispered. The wicked sorceress looked down at the frightened crowd with a nasty smirk on her face. “Oh, my beloved subjects” Her voice was cold as ice. “It's been so long since I've seen your precious little sun-loving faces. ”
The crowd trembled. “What did you do with our Princess?!” Rainbow yelled defiantly, preparing to fly up and confront her. Only for Applejack to grab her by the tail. “Whoa there, Nelly...” She warned her, knowing that confronting Nightmare Moon head on was suicide.
Nightmare Moon chuckled darkly. “Why, am I not royal enough for you?” She taunted. “Don't you know who I am? ” “Ooh...Ooh, more guessing games!!” Pinkie exclaimed again, oblivious to the tense atmosphere. “Um, Hokey Smokes! How about... Queen Meanie! No! Black Snooty, Black Snooty—” She was cut off when Applejack stuffed an apple in her mouth.
“Does my crown no longer count now that I have been imprisoned for a thousand years?” Nightmare Moon asked, making poor Flutter-Shy and Rarity recoil when she glared at her at them. “Did you not recall the legend? Did you not see the signs?”
“I did.” Everyone in the hall turned to Twilight Sparkle who glared defiantly at the sorceress. “And I know who you are. You’re the Maiden of the Moon, Nightmare Moon!!” Everyone gasped in horror, they heard stories and legends about the terrible Maiden of the Moon but never believed it. Now, it was a nightmare come to life.
Nightmare Moon chuckled. “Well well well, someone who remembers me.” She stated. “Then you also know why I'm here.” Twilight gulped nervously. “You're here to... to...” She stammered, making the dark sorceress chuckle darkly.
“Remember this day, little fools, for it was your last.” She declared as the mist grew larger around her. “From this moment forth, the night will last forever!” She cackled wildly as thunder boomed in the sky.
Everyone could only watch in horror, Twilight was especially afraid. Her worst fears had come true, Nightmare Moon has returned and planned to plunge all of Equestria in eternal night. She turned to Drew, but grew surprised when she saw his eyes were shadows and his hands balled into fists. “D-Drew...?”

Chapter 4: Drew’s Challenge!
The entire crowd trembled as thunder echoed throughout the hall and lightning flashed. Nightmare Moon laughed cruelly as the dark mist spread out like the great wings of a bird. “Seize her!!” Mayor Mare commanded. “Only she knows where the princess is!”
Pegasi guards charged at the Maiden of the Moon with swords and spears, but Nightmare Moon cackled, her eyes glowing white and fired bolts of lightning at the guards, striking them down and knocking them unconscious.
“Hahaha!!” She exclaimed. “Do you think you can easily defeat me, fools?!” “Your precious Celestia is gone, now there is only Nightmare Moon!!” She laughed again, but she failed to notice a certain prince who was shaking slightly.
“Where is she...?” Everyone froze and turned to Drew, who was clenching his fists and he was growling softly. “D-Drew...?” Twilight asked, worried at his reaction. The other girls grew nervous as well. “Hey, buddy...” Rainbow asked. “You okay?”
Nightmare Moon scoffed. “Well, what’s the matter, little boy?” She taunted. “Feeling lost and alone without your precious prin-” *POW!!* She was cut off when Drew suddenly leapt at her with the speed of lightning and his fist collided with her face. “WHERE IS SHE?!” He screamed.
Everyone gasped as Nightmare Moon was sent flying and smashed against the wall. *CRASH!* The Mane 6 were the most stunned. “Awesome!!” Pinkie and Rainbow exclaimed, their eyes wide. “Did he just punch Nightmare Moon?!” Applejack added, her jaw agape. Twilight was especially amazed.
Nightmare Moon staggered to her feet and spat out some blood. “Who dares to attack me?!” She demanded. “I did!!” Drew yelled back, glaring at her. “I am Prince Drew, son of Princess Celestia and Prince of Equestria!!”
Nightmare Moon’s eyes widened. “So, Celestia has a son...” She growled. “This changes nothing...” “Now, I’m not going to ask you again, witch...” Drew spat out. “Where’s...my...mother?!” “Drew...” Twilight muttered, as she and the other girls looked on with worry.
Nightmare Moon laughed. “Your mother is the least of your worries, prince.” She replied. “I believe the punishment of such insolence is death...” Her eyes glowed white again. “Everyone, get out of here now!!” Drew commanded. “I’ve got this!!”
Mayor Mare snapped out of her stupor and nodded. “Everyone, hurry and head outside!!” She ordered, making everyone hurry outside. “Twilight!” Drew added. “You and the girls, get out now!” The girls gasped in horror. “Drew, you’re not thinking of fighting her are you!?” Twilight screamed. “Darling, it’s too dangerous!!” Rarity added.
“Never mind about me!” Drew yelled back. “Twilight, you have been preparing for Nightmare Moon’s return; it’s up to you to stop her if I don’t make it!” Twilight grew horrified. “No, don’t say that!” She screamed. “We don’t have a choice, Twilight! NOW GO!!!” He screamed the last part so loud that the girls drew back in shock.
“Drew...” Twilight muttered, close to tears. “Come on, sugar-cube!” Applejack added, pulling her away. “Let’s go, now!!” With that, the girls raced outside. “How touching...” Nightmare Moon taunted as she conjured some dark magic with her hand. “Too bad, once I deal with you; I’m coming after them next!” With that, she threw the dark orb at him.
Drew smirked before he leapt in the air and kicked the projectile back! “What!?” Nightmare Moon gasped. “How is that possible!?” “Believe me, lady!” Drew shot back. “There’re a lot that you don’t know about me!” “Let’s get dangerous!” The prince yelled as he charged at her at full speed, taking the woman of guard.
Before the sorceress knew it, she was tackled to the ground hard before she was grabbed by the hair and flung her on the ground hard! Instantly, she teleported away from him and reappeared outside the Hall. “You can’t run away, coward!!” Drew yelled as he leapt down from the window and delivered a hard kick on her head!
“Argh!” The sorcerer screamed as she clutched her head. “You’ll pay for that, boy!!” She yelled as she summoned dark magic orbs and launched them at him. Drew easily dodged every one of them by running, jumping and sliding.
“You’re getting slow, witch!!” Drew taunted. “Have a taste of this!” With that, he kicked an orb back at her, forcing the witch to form a magic shield to protect herself. Seeing his chance, Drew appeared and punched the magic shield with such force that it cracked under his strength.
Throwing another punch, he broke through the magic shield and dazed Nightmare Moon a little. “Eat fist, Nightmare Moon!” Drew roared, punching her face again. He gave her another punch to the gut and did a knee strike that sent her to the ground.
Now enraged, Nightmare Moon threw several spear-like magic at Drew, who simply dodged and somersaulted back. “I tire of this!” The witch screamed as she was on top of him and formed a magic spear on her hand. “THIS ENDS NOW!!” She roared as she plummeted down at him, ready to impale him.
Only for Drew to grab a nearby stone and used it as a shield to block it. When Nightmare Moon pulled back, her magic spear broke and with a loud war cry, Drew slammed the rock hard on her head, making her scream in pain and knocking her down to the ground.
“Had...enough...lady?” Drew panted, sweating and breathing heavily. “Drew!!” The said boy turned to see Twilight and the other girls making their way to him. “Twilight! Girls!” He exclaimed waving at them. “I’m glad you’re alright!”
“Dude, you were amazing!!” Rainbow flew up to him, a look of awe on her face. “You actually took on Nightmare Moon!” “Yeah!” Pinkie added, bouncing up and down in excitement. “She was like all pew , pew , pew and you were like all pow , pow , pow !!”
“Ya got that right, sugar-cube!” Applejack exclaimed. “I never thought anyone had the guts to take on, Nightmare Moon!” Flutter-Shy nodded. “Y-Yes, you were...really brave...” She replied, smiling meekly.
“You idiot...” Twilight muttered. Everyone turned to see her shaking slightly, her eyes shadowed by her lavender hair. “You idiot...” “Uh...T-S?” Drew asked nervously. “You IDIOT!!” She screamed, before *SLAP!!*
Everyone’s eyes widened, particularly Drews’. He touched his left cheek, which was warm and stinging from Twilight’s slap. What was more shocking was the teary look in her face. “What were you thinking?!” She screamed at his face. “Do you have any idea how scared I was!?”
“You...You...” To everyone’s shock, Twilight threw her arms around him and hugged him tightly. “Don’t scare me like that ever again...” She croaked out, close to breaking down in tears. “It’s okay, T-S” Drew assured her, rubbing her back gently. “It’s alright.”
“You fools....” The friends froze in terror and slowly turned to see Nightmare Moon staggering to her feet, blood dripping from her forehead. “She’s still standing!?” Rainbow exclaimed. “You miserable brat!!” She glared at them, particularly Drew. “You will pay for your insolence!!”
“Really!?” Rainbow shot back. “You just got your butt-whopped by Drew here!” “So, you can either stand down, or we will can give ya an extra lesson.” “You’re right...” Nightmare Moon grinned wickedly. “All the more reason to do this!”
*FWHAP!!*
“Alk!!” Drew choked and the girls gasped in horror as a large black whip wrapped itself around Drew’s neck and pulled him close to Nightmare Moon, who seized him by the throat and lifted him up until they were eye-level. “Drew!!” Twilight screamed in horror.
“You have caused me a lot of trouble, little prince...” She snarled. “You and your mother are the same; naïve and foolish!” “You can’t stop what’s coming...” She added. “Eternal Night will fall...and no one can stop me.”
“Let him go!!” Applejack yelled. “Please, don’t hurt him!” Flutter-Shy begged, close to crying. “Yeah, or we’ll make you!” Rainbow added. Nightmare Moon laughed wickedly. “Your threats are off no use to me, fool!” She taunted. “I am Nightmare Moon, Queen of the Night and your future ruler!!”
“Hehehehe....” Everyone looked to see Drew, who was chuckling weakly. “Is that what you call yourself?” “This is how you plan to make people love and respect you?” He asked. “By taking away the sun?” “That’s sounds pretty stupid...” Everyone’s eyes widened in shock.
“What...did...you...say...boy?” Nightmare Moon asked, her voice low, calm and dangerous.
“You think by taking the sun away will prove to everyone that you are greater than Celestia.” Drew continued. “That you will be just as important as her and everyone will look up to you.” “But the truth is, you’re scared.” The girls gasped while Nightmare Moon’s eyes widened.
“You’re scared because you just want to be loved.” He added. “You’re scared because you think no one will understand your feelings.” “You’re scared because you think you will never be able to escape your sister’s shadow...” Drew chuckled again. “Taking the sun away so people will love you just proves how stupid you are.” He finished. “You’re just like a little spoiled child who didn’t get what she wanted for her birthday”
The Mane 6 were completely stunned, particularly Twilight. Just when they thought Drew couldn’t be any cooler, he had just proven them wrong. Nightmare Moon was seething with rage. “How...dare...you!” She growled, gritting her teeth.
“What’s the matter, Nightmare Moon?” Drew asked again. “Does the truth hurt.” “Or, should I call you by your true name, Princess Luna ?” At this, Nightmare Moon’s pupils shrank. “ENOUGH!!” She screamed. “YOU HAVE MOCKED ME FOR THE LAST TIME!!”
She created a misty portal on the ground and raised Drew on top of it. “Drew!” Twilight screamed in horror as the other girls looked on with fear. “Let this be a reminder to anyone who dares to oppose me!” She declared. “Let everyone know the price of challenging Nightmare Moon!”
“Now, you die!” To the girls’ horror, Nightmare Moon threw Drew into the portal and he vanished inside it. “DREW!!!!” The girls screamed in horror. Twilight rushed forward in a desperate attempt to save the boy she secretly loved, but the portal closed.
Cold silence fell as the girls could only watch in horror. “No!” Twilight screamed, tears cascading down her cheeks like waterfalls as she dug in the ground, trying in vain to save her friend. “No! No! NO!!!”
Nightmare Moon laughed. “Let the reign of Nightmare Moon begin!!!!” With that, she turned into a blue mist and flew upwards to the sky. “Hey come back!!” Rainbow yelled, trying to catch her but it was too late.
She groaned. “She’s gone...” She muttered. Suddenly, she noticed Twilight running into the town. “Where’s she going?” She asked suspiciously.

Chapter 5: The Everfree Forest and Iron Moon Mountain Part 1
Inside the Golden Oak Library, Twilight was turning the whole place upside down, scouring through every book; hoping to find a way to save Drew and stop Nightmare Moon. “Elements, elements, elements... Ugh!” She exclaimed in frustration. “How can I stop Nightmare Moon and save Drew without the Elements of Harmony?”
“And just what are the Elements of Harmony?!” Rainbow demanded, getting up to Twilight’s face. “And how did you know about Nightmare Moon, huh?!” “And where the heck did she take Drew?!” She added, as Twilight backed up to a shelf. “Are you a spy ?”
“Simmer down, Sally.” Applejack spoke up, pulling Rainbow back before she and the rest of the girls arrived. “She ain't no spy.” “But she sure knows what's going on. Don't you, Twilight?” She asked, all of them looking at Twilight with concerned looks.
Twilight sighed, realizing there was no point hiding any secrets. “I read all about the prediction of Nightmare Moon.” She replied. “Some mysterious objects called the Elements of Harmony are the only things that can stop her, but I don't know what they are, where to find them; I don’t even know what they do!”
“‘The Elements of Harmony: A Reference Guide.’ ” Pinkie spoke up as she saw a book on the shelf, making Twilight gasp and push her aside. “How did you find that?!” She asked. “It was under "E"!” Pinkie replied in singsong, bouncing up and down.
Twilight rolled her eyes. “Oh,” she muttered, before she took the book out and flipped through it. “There are six Elements of Harmony, but only five are known: Kindness, Laughter, Generosity, Honesty and Loyalty.” She read out loud. “The sixth is a complete mystery. It is said, the last known location of the five elements was in the ancient castle of the royal sisters.” “It is located in what is now--”
(Later...)
“The Everfree Forest!” The Mane 6 found themselves at the edge of a great forest, the trees stretched up high and their branches looked like clawed hands reaching out to grab them. “Whee!” Pinkie Pie cheered. “Let’s go!”
“Not so fast.” Twilight added, stepping forward. “Look, I appreciate the offer, but I'd really rather do this on my own.” “No can do, sugar-cube.” Applejack replied, firmly. “We want to save Drew as much as you do and we sure ain't lettin' any friend of ours go into that creepy place alone.” “We're stickin' to you like caramel on a candy apple.” She added before heading off in the forest.
Soon, all the other girls joined in murmuring in agreement. “Yeah!” Pinkie added. “Especially if there's candy apples in there.” This earned her some blank stares from Twilight. “What? Those things are good.” The pink girl replied, before skipping off after the others.
Twilight sighed before following after them. She was still worried about Drew; who knows where Nightmare Moon sent him and if he was alright. All she could do was hope that she could find a way to save him. “Drew, wherever you are...” She prayed. “Please be safe.”
(Meanwhile...)
“Urrgh...” Drew groaned as he staggered to his feet. He looked around to find himself in a desolate land, with rocks and grey dirt as far as the eye could see and a dark blue sky overhead. “Hello!” He called. “Is anyone there?!”
His voice echoed throughout the sky. Drew called out again. “TS!! AJ! RD!” Still, there was no one reply. It was then he noticed he was near the foot of a large black, ominous mountain. Dark clouds gathered on its peak and lightning flashed across the sky. He stared up in amazement, what strange place is this?
He noticed a sigh next to him which read: ‘Iron Moon Mountain, whoever can ascend it, survive the many traps inside and reach the shrine at the top of its peak shall be rewarded with magic more powerful than your wildest dreams. Sighed, M’
Drew was a bit cautious at first. He didn’t have any magical powers unlike his adopted mother or Twilight and he was rather content with his life as an Earth Ponyian. Still, if he wanted to find a way out and back to Twilight, this shrine would be his only chance.
“Hang on, Twilight...” He muttered, a determined look on his face. “I’ll find a way back to you!” With that, he took off towards the direction of the mountain.
(Back in the Everfree Forest...)
“So,” Twilight asked the other girls. “none of you have been in here before?” “Heavens no!” Rarity exclaimed, fanning herself. “Just look at it. It's dreadful!” “And it ain't natural.” Applejack added. “Folk say it don't work the same as Equestria.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Twilight asked. Unknown to them, the strange dark mist crept below them and seeped through the cracks on the cliff. “No one knows...” Rainbow replied, grinning mischievously. “You know why?” She asked in a creepy tone, stalking to Rarity, Pinkie and Flutter who cringed nervously.
“Rainbow, quit it.” Applejack warned, but Rainbow continued. “Cause everypony who's ever come in has never come out !” She exclaimed, making the three girls gasp in fright. Suddenly, the cliff under them cracked and gave away! Every girl screamed as they slid down the slope while Rainbow Dash and Flutter-Shy were able to escape by flying.
“Flutter-Shy, quick!” Rainbow shouted, flying down after them. “Oh my goodness, oh my goodness!” Flutter-Shy panicked as she followed after her. All the girls screamed as they slid down the slope. Flutter-Shy managed to grab Rarity while Rainbow grabbed Pinkie. Applejack was fortunate to grab hold of a tree-root to stop her sliding.
However, Twilight was losing ground fast and soon, she found herself dangling over the edge of the cliff. “Hold on!” Applejack cried out, letting go of the tree root. “Hold on! I'm a-coming!” Carefully, she made her way toward Twilight and grabbed hold of her hands.
“Applejack!” Twilight asked, terrified. “What do I do?!” Applejack looked around, desperately trying to see any sign to help Twilight. Suddenly, she noticed something up ahead and turned to Twilight.
“Let go.” She told her. “What?!” Twilight screamed. “Are you crazy ?” “No, I ain't.” Applejack replied, firmly. “I promise, you'll be safe.” “That's not true!” Twilight yelled back, not so convinced.
“Now, listen here.” Applejack said, looking at Twilight straight in the eye. “What I'm sayin' to you is the honest truth.” “Let go, and you'll be safe.” She assured her, with a smile. Twilight looked at her for a moment and released her hold on her, causing her to fall of the cliff.
“Yaaaaaaaaaaaaah!” Twilight screamed at the top of her lungs. Suddenly, she felt herself floating in mid air and found Rainbow and Flutter-Shy holding on to her. “Sorry girls.” Flutter-Shy apologized. “I'm not used to holding anything more than a bunny or two.”
Twilight breathed a sigh of relief before she smiled at Applejack who was making her way down to the others, grateful for her honesty. Little did they know that the blue mist floating above them and hitting a strange creature, making it roar loudly.
(In Iron Moon Mountain...)
Drew grunted as he climbed the mountain, the rocks tore at his sneakers and his fingers were sore from climbing. He reached a ledge and found a cave on the mountain’s side. “Maybe, I can find shelter inside. ” He thought as he entered the cave.
When he entered, he found himself in a long tunnel with thick stone walls on either side of him. As he walked on, he heard the distant sound of rocks clashing together. “I don’t like the sound of that...” Drew muttered as he followed the direction of the sound.
To his amazement, he found a pathway of iron gates leading straight ahead, the large metal gates dropping down and raising up at different times. Drew grew a bit nervous, those gates could smash him flat like a pancake. He thought of turning back to find another route, but that would only waste more time. His only option was to take his chances with the clashing gates.
“I can do this...” Drew thought, taking a deep breath. “Besides, if I don’t make it, I’ll never know what hit me.” He positioned himself in a starting runner’s position, waiting for the right moment to see a clear path.
“There!” He exclaimed, before taking off. He ran as fast as he could through the pathway, the iron gates slamming down right behind him. A few times, he nearly tripped but Drew continued to run forward. As he reached the last gate, he made one large, tremendous leap and made it to the other side, just as the last gate slammed down.
“Yes!” Drew cheered. “I did it!!” “Now to find my way up!” He ran forward till he came to the end of the tunnel. He found himself right in front of a large, wide chasm with sharp spikes at the bottom. The only way across was a rope bridge with bones for the steps and held up by chains.
Drew had no idea how long this bridge was there or if it could hold his weight. Gulping down, he slowly stepped on one of the bone steps and made his way over the chasm. “Don’t look down...” He thought nervously. “Don’t look down.” He was halfway across the chasm when...
*SNAP! *
Drew froze. “Oh no...” He muttered. *SNAP! * One of the ropes on the bridge snapped, causing it to collapse! “WOOOAAAAHHHHH!!!!” Drew yelled as he grabbed a rope of the bridge and held on to dear life as the whole bridge was fell to one side of the chasm. “That...was...close!” He breathed
The prince was shaking slightly as he climbed back up to where he started. Suddenly, the bridge turned into a mass of snakes who hissed at him! “WOAH!!” Drew screamed, letting go of the rope and falling into the chasm!
Fortunately, he landed on a thick branch growing on top of a ledge. Drew took a few deep breaths to calm down. “So much for going back...” He muttered to himself, before looking over on the other side of the chasm. “Now, how am I going to get across...?”
It was then he noticed the large leaves growing on the branches and his eyes widened. “Perfect!” He exclaimed, before plucking two huge leaves from the branch. He plucked a thick vine and tied them together.
Soon, he made himself a pair of large wings and strapped them on his arms with the vine, making sure they were secure. “Perfect!!” He exclaimed spreading his new wings wide. “Now to test them out!”
“Here goes nothing!” He yelled, jumping of the ledge. To his amazement, he felt the wind carrying him up and lifting his wings. “Wahoo!!” Drew cheered; he was flying like an eagle across the sky. Soon, he was over the chasm and landed safely on the other side on a ledge that led to another tunnel.
“Thank you, wings!” Drew laughed as he took the wings off. “Now, to find my friends!!” He added, before racing off into the tunnel.

Chapter 6: The Everfree Forest and Iron Moon Mountain Part 2
(In the Everfree Forest...)
“And once Pinkie and Rarity were saved, whoosh...!” Rainbow Dash bragged as she flew above the others, doing tricks as she did. “Me and Fluttershy loop-de-loop around and WHAM! Caught you right in the nick of time.”
Twilight was not amused. “Yes, Rainbow, I was there.” She replied, rolling her eyes a little. “And I'm very grateful.” “But we’ve gotta to save Drew from-” *BAM!* She gasped when a large creature pounced in front of them.
It looked like an enormous lion, but with horns, giant bat wings on its back and a long scorpion tail with a stinger at its end. “A Manticore!” She exclaimed. “GGGRRRROOOOAAARRR!!!” The manticore roared, rearing up on its hind legs.
“We’ve got to get past him!” Twilight called out. “GGGGRRROOOOAAAARRRRR!!” The monster roared again, lunging forward and swiping a paw at Rarity. “Hi-yah!” Rarity yelled, kicking the manticore on the face. “Take that, you ruffian!” She called out, confidently.
The answer she got was a loud, deafening roar at her face, the sheer force made her hair all poofy and messy. “My hair !” She cried, before running back to the side. “Wait...” Flutter-Shy spoke up softly, but no one could hear her.
“YEE-HAW!” Applejack cried as she leapt onto the manticore’s back. “Git along, little dogie!” She exclaimed as she rode on its back, as it leapt and bucked like a bull in a rodeo. “Wait .” Flutter-Shy called out again, a little louder but no one heard her.
The manticore roared as it leapt about with Applejack still on its back. Finally, it threw the Cowgirl of its back. “Whoa!” She cried as she was thrown into the air. “All yours, partner.” She told Rainbow Dash. “I’m on it!” Rainbow replied, diving towards it.
“Wait !” Flutter-Shy called out, but to no avail. Rainbow soared around and around the monster, hoping to make it dizzy. However, it failed to faze the creature and it swatted her away with its tail. “Rainbow!” Twilight cried out in worry as Rainbow was thrown at her feet, landing hard on the ground.
Finally, the girls had enough. They weren’t going to let anything stand in their way in stopping Nightmare Moon and saving Drew. The Manticore snorted and pawed the ground, ready to charge. The girls braced themselves for a fight.
Finally, the five girls charged at the monster. Just as they were in range, Flutter-Shy jumped in front of them. “WAIT !” She called out, stopping them in their tracks. Flutter-Shy quietly approached the manticore, who growled softly and raised its paw to attack.
The other girls flinched and closed their eyes, assuming the worst. “Shhh... It's okay.” They opened their eyes to see Flutter-Shy gently caressing the manticore on its other front paw. The creature moaned and gently extends it, showing a very thick thorn on it.
“Oh, you poor, poor little baby.” Flutter-Shy cooed gently. “Little?” Rainbow muttered, stunned. Everyone watched in interest as the Manticore looked at the shy girl with a sad look on its face. “Now this might hurt for just a second.” She told him gently.
Flutter-Shy reached for the thorn and pulled it out. “Grrroooooaaaarrrrr!!!” The manticore roared loudly, scooping her up towards his mouth. “Flutter-Shy!” The girls cried out. However, what happened next made their jaws drop in shock. Instead of eating her, the manticore was licking her face, and purring softly like a pussycat. It was clearly grateful this kind girl was able to remove the thorn from its paw.
Flutter-Shy giggled. “Aw you're just a little ol' baby kitty, aren't you?” She cooed sweetly as the creature continued to lick her face happily while everyone else smiled. The other girls gave a cheer as the manticore set her down and went on its way. Twilight was most impressed.
“How did you know about the thorn?” She asked. “I didn’t.” Flutter-Shy replied, as she walked by. “Sometimes we all just need to be shown a little kindness.” Twilight just stared in amazement before smiling and following her. “If only Drew could see this.” She thought.
(In Iron Moon Mountain...)
Drew panted as he ran through the stone hallways of the mountain. “I’m not sure about this” He thought. “Maybe, this is all just a trap from Nightmare Moon” “Still, if it was, why would she put up a warning at the entrance.” He continued as he raced down the hallways. “I’ll guess I’ll know for sure once I get to the top.”
Finally, he entered a large room with stone walls and light shining above him. What shocked him the most was an enormous stone giant, resting before him. He had read about stone giants back in Canterlot; they were incredibly strong and bad-tempered, especially if they are disturbed. From the loud snores and the slow rise and fall of its chest, it was sleeping
Slowly, Drew made his way forward, careful not to disturb it. “If I can sneak past him,” He thought. “I might be able to find my way through.” Just at that moment, Drew felt his nose tickling on the inside. “Oh no...” Drew thought with dread before he sneezed. “AH-CHOO!”
“Uuuurrrraaaaahhhhh!!!” The stone giant stirred and opened its eyes. "Gotta go back!" Drew exclaimed as he turned back to the stone entrance from which he came. Unfortunately, a metal gate with bars dropped on it, blocking its entrance and trapping him!
“No, No, No!!” Drew cried, shaking the bars in a futile attempt to loosen the gate. “UUURRRRAAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!” He turned to see the stone giant coming towards him, roaring loudly. The stone walls were too steep to climb, and he couldn’t fly up to the light in the ceiling. The only way out was at the other side, right through the stone giant.
“I’m not dying here!” Drew exclaimed bravely. “I’m getting back to Twilight and my friends!!” “YYYYYYAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!” Drew let out a blood-curdling war-cry, almost like a roar and charged at the giant. The giant seemed to be taken aback by his action and even backed away, revealing another entrance on the other side.
Drew was beyond amazed. “I can’t believe it!” He cried. “It actually worked!” “Thank you!!” He called out to the stone giant as he raced through into the gate. “I wonder how the girls are getting along?” He wondered.
(Back with the Mane 6 girls...)
The girls continued to march through the marshes. It seemed to go on forever and the friends felt like they were getting no closer. “No.” Rarity groaned. “My eyes need a rest from all this icky muck.”
As if on cue, everyone’s vision went black as the moon was covered by the trees, plunging the whole forest into darkness. “Well, I didn't mean that literally.” Rarity spoke again, a little nervous. “That ancient ruin could be right in front of our faces, and we wouldn't even know it.” Twilight pointed out.
It was so dark, that Rarity bumped into Rainbow Dash. “I didn't see you there, my apologies.” Rarity remarked. “Oh wait,” Applejack paused, raising her foot. “I think I stepped in somethin'.” Flutter-Shy screamed, but Applejack was indifferent. “It’s just mud.” She assured her.
“Grrrrrrr....” Suddenly, a low growl came from one of the trees. Then another, another and soon the girls were surrounded. On each tree, there seemed to make a scary face at the girls, with large eyes and razer-sharp teeth. The girls screamed and held onto each other.
Only to stop when they heard...laughing. To their shock, they saw Pinkie Pie laughing at the trees and even making goofy faces at them. “Pinkie, what are you doing?!” Twilight exclaimed. “Run!” “Oh girls, don't you see?” Pinkie asked. And before anyone knew it, she began singing.
(Play the Laughter Song ...)
Pinkie(singing): When I was a little kiddie
And the sun was going doo-ow-ow-n!
“Tell me she’s not...” Twilight muttered, but Pinkie cut her off by popping up from above them, upside down.
Pinkie(singing): The darkness and the shadows,
they would always make me froo-ow-ow-n!
“She is...” Rarity replied, as Pinkie bounced around them while still singing.
Pinkie(singing): I'd hide under my pillow
From what I thought I saw
But Granny Pie said that wasn't the way
To deal with fears at all!!
“Then what is?” Rainbow asked, before Pinkie got up to her face.
Pinkie(singing): She said, "Pinkie, you gotta stand up tall
Learn to face your fears
You'll see that they can't hurt you
Just laugh to make them disappear."
Ha! Ha! Ha!
As if by magic, the darkness faded away and the once scary tree returned to normal, much to the girls’ surprise. The face had disappeared completely.
Pinkie(singing): So, giggle at the ghostly
Guffaw at the grossly
Crack up at the creepy
Whoop it up with the weepy
Chortle at the kooky
Snortle at the spooky
And tell that big dumb scary face
to take a hike and leave you alone
and if he thinks he can scare you
then he's got another thing coming
and the very idea of such a thing
just makes you wanna... hahahaha... heh...
Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuugh!
Soon, with help from her friends, all the trees returned to normal and the girls were rolling on their backs, laughing themselves silly. “Sometimes, we learn when we are ready.” Pinkie replied, grinning as she zipped away.
Twilight soon calmed down, her spirits lifted up. However, she grew worried when she thought about Drew. “Drew...” She wondered. “Where are you?”

Chapter 7: The Everfree Forest and Iron Moon Mountain Part 3
(In Iron Moon Mountain...)
Drew quietly made his way through the dark tunnel. He was starting to get tired from his running so he began to pace himself. “I hope the girls are alright.” He thought as he walked. “I never thought my first time in Pony-Ville would be fighting Nightmare Moon.”
He frowned when he thought about Nightmare Moon, his mind traveled back to his dreams. His adoptive mother, Celestoa had told him about the dark sorceress and her plan to bring eternal night to Equestria. She also told him that Nightmare Moon was really his aunt, Luna.
When it came to the subject of Luna, Celestia had many stories to tell him about her. She told him how they ruled with kindness and compassion; how they protected Equestria from any threat and how strong their bond. Sadly, all that changed when Luna grew jealous of her sister and turned into Nightmare Moon.
Drew had asked her if Luna can ever be freed from Nightmare Moon, but Celestia just sadly shook her head and replied that she wasn’t sure. However, whenever he went to sleep, Luna visited him in his dreams. She would sing songs, dance for him and tell him stories. Every time, she would always kiss him on the forehead and tell him to save her from Nightmare Moon.
“HALT!!” A loud voice boomed out, causing Drew to yell and jump back. Right before him were two huge trolls wearing clothes made of moss and brown cloth, standing guard at a gate. “None shall pass the secret Troll Gate!” they said in unison.
“Troll Gate?” Drew asked. “That’s right, runt!” The first troll replied. “If you want to get pass, you have to answer our riddle!” “No one has ever answered it,” the second troll added. “and if ya fail, you will meet ya doom!”
“Come on, please!” Drew pleaded a bit. “I need to get past, my friends are waiting for me!” “You will not pass, until you answer the riddle!!” The first troll just replied. “Yeah, answer the riddle!” The second troll added. Drew just stared at them. “Is there no other way?” He asked. “Nope!” Both trolls exclaimed.
Drew sighed. “Okay, you win.” He replied. “What’s your riddle?” The trolls grinned, showing rows of dirty, yellow teeth. “More precious than gold, but cannot be bought.” The first troll said. “It can never be sold, but it's earned if it's sought.” The second troll added.
“Though it be broken, it can still be mended.” The first troll continued. “At birth it can't start
nor by death is it ended.” The second troll finished. “What am I?” Both trolls spoke in unison. Drew listened quietly. “I see.” “Now answer,” the trolls spoke up. “and you only get one chance.”
Drew gulped. He thought hard. “Diamonds are worth more than gold.” He thought. “But you can buy and sell them.” “Maybe Strength or Health, you can’t buy or sell that.” He sighed. “But everyone is born with health and death ends it.”
“Urrgh...if only Twilight were here.” He groaned. “She would know the answer to this.” “I can’t believe this is how it ends.” Drew grew more nervous. “Being eaten by two trolls and never seeing my family or friends again.”
Suddenly, his eyes widened in realization at his last statement. “That’s it!” He exclaimed, before turning to the trolls. “The answer is Friendship!!” He declared. “It’s worth more than gold, but it can’t be bought or sold!” “It doesn’t start at birth and it doesn’t end in death!” He continued. “That’s the answer!”
Silence fell as the trolls stared at him. Suddenly, they burst into laughter “HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!” “Well done, runt!!” the first troll exclaimed. “You are the first person to answer our riddle!” “As promised, you may pass!” the second troll added as they parted. Drew grinned proudly. “Thank you!” He exclaimed as he raced through the Troll Gate.
(Meanwhile, in the Everfree Forest...)
“How are we gonna cross this?” Pinkie Pie asked. The Mane 6 were now at the edge of a fast-flowing river. While it was rather shallow, the water was rough and violent. Before anyone could reply, they heard the sound of crying in the distance.
“Huh?” Pinkie remarked as they all turned to see a large but lanky sea serpent with orange hair, weeping himself in the middle of the river. His coils were wiggling so fast that it was building up the rapids. They also that one-half of his orange mustache was torn off by something.
“What a world,” he sobbed dramatically. “What a world! ” “Excuse me, sir.” Twilight asked politely. “Why are you crying?” The serpent sniffed. “Well, I don't know.” He replied. “I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when this tacky little cloud of purple smoke just whisked past me and tore half of my beloved mustache clean off , and now I look simply horrid!! ”
With that, the serpent wailed even louder, frothing the water with his coils. “Oh, give me a break.” Rainbow muttered in annoyance. “That's what all the fuss is about?” Applejack added, just as unamused.
“Why, of course it is!” Rarity replied, stepping forward. “How can you be so insensitive?” “Oh, just look at him.” She added. “Such lovely luminescent scales.” “Oh, I know, I know.” The Serpent replied, sniffing a little.
“And your expertly coiffed mane.” Rarity added. “And your fabulous manicure.” “Oh, I know, I know!” The serpent replied, running his fingers through his hair. “It's so true!” “All ruined without your beautiful mustache.” Rarity finished, sympathetically.
“It's true, I'm hideous !” The serpent cried again dramatically. “Well,” Rarity declared. “I simply cannot let such a crime against fabulosity go uncorrected.” Before anyone could say anything, the fashionista pulled off a scale from the serpent’s chest. “Ow!” He yelped. “What did you do that for?”
Rarity said nothing, but she raised the sharp end of the scale in the air. “Rarity?” Twilight asked. “What are you-” *SWIPE!* Everyone gasped and the serpent fainted as Rarity sliced of most of her long, beautiful tail, leaving only a short remainder of it.
Using her magic, she levitated the cut tail and carefully tied it with the remains of the Serpent’s sliced mustache. When he awoke, he saw that his mustache was restored...for the most part. “Oh-hohohoho!” The serpent exclaimed, gleefully. “My mustache. How wonderful.”
“You look smashing,” Rarity complimented, before returning back to her friends. “Oh, Rarity,” Twilight spoke up sadly. “Your beautiful tail...” Rarity smiled sadly as shelooked at her now short tail. “Oh. It's fine, my dear.” She replied. “Short tails are in this season. Besides, it'll grow back.”
“So would the mustache .” Rainbow muttered to the side. Twilight looked ahead and gasped when she saw the waters have calmed down, revealing how shallow the river was. “We can cross now.” She informed, walking through the water. “Let's go. Ah!”
She was startled when she found herself on the hump of the serpent’s coils. “Allow me.” He offered, with a friendly smile. The serpent formed a set of hump platforms on his elongated body, allowing the six girls to hop across to the other side.
(Back with Drew...)
The smell was terrible as Drew entered the next room. He found himself before a lake, with only a long narrow stone acting as a bridge to the other side. At first, he thought of swimming to the other side to save time. However, when he looked at the dark waters of the lake, he grew frightened. There was no telling what was in there, so he had to play it safe.
He studied the strange bridge. It seemed to be sturdy enough for him, but it was covered with moss and the stones were slippery due to the water. “Well, I’ve come this far.” He muttered. “No turning back now.”
With that, he stepped forward, his arms spread wide to balance himself. Slowly, step by step, Drew made his way across the bridge. “Hey, I’m getting pretty good at this.” He added, smirking a bit. However, as he was halfway across the bridge, he heard a strange bubbling noise.
*Bubble* *Bubble*
“What...was...that?” Drew muttered, looking at the water. He noticed some bubbles blowing near the surface and he slightly tensed up. “Hello?” He asked nervously. “Is someone there?” *SPLOSH!* Suddenly, a thick orange tentacle emerged from the water, much to Drew’s shock.
Another tentacle appeared, followed by another and another. “WHOA!!” Drew screamed as one tentacle wrapped itself around his waist and dragged him underwater. *SPLASH!!* His eyes widened when he saw the owner of the tentacles, a giant orange octopus; the biggest he had ever seen.
The octopus opened its large beak-like mouth, causing Drew to panic and kick as hard could while punching the tentacle. It loosened around his waist, giving Drew a chance to break free and swim for his life. The tentacles lashed out at him, forcing Drew to dodge when they tried to grab him.
Drew looked around, desperately trying to find a way to escape. He tried to swim up to the surface, only for the tentacles to block him. Suddenly, he felt a tentacle wrap around his legs and drag him under.
Drew flailed his arms wildly, trying to break free. He could only watch in horror as he was dragged closer to the octopus’s gaping beak. Suddenly, he noticed a large drain close to him. Instantly, he grabbed the drain’s handle and pulled it with all his might.
The octopus pulled and Drew pulled. Just as he was about to lose his strength, Drew gave one last tug and the drain came out with a loud *pop*! The water began draining out, dragging the octopus down in it. Drew managed to swim to the other side and pull himself out of the water.
Coughing and spluttering, he scrambled on to the shore and stopped to catch his breath. He looked at the octopus who had already disappeared in the drain as the lake drained out. “Sorry, octopus...” He muttered. “But you are going to try harder than that to stop me from getting back to my friends.”

Chapter 9: Meeting Princess Luna
“Urrgh...” Drew groaned again, as he opened his eyes and rubbed his aching head. He found himself in a dark place, almost a void. “Hello...” He called out again. “Anyone there?” “Please...” He walked around. “Where am I?”
“I passed all your trials!” He called out. “I’ve arrived at the top of the mountain!!” “You promised to send me back home!” He exclaimed. “Where...Are...You!?” He walked on, not knowing where he was or where he was going. Suddenly, he thought he heard someone crying.
“What’s that?” He wondered as he followed the sound of the sobbing. Suddenly, a light appeared, forcing Drew to cover his eyes. When it died down, he saw something that made his eyes grew wide.
Right before him was a beautiful woman; she had shriveled blue hair and wore a blue gown. She had a horn on her forehead, two blue wings on her back and a flowing blue tail at the end. She was restrained by thick blue chains to a wall by her wrists, waist and ankles. When he looked closer, he saw that she was crying. It was then he recognized her at once.
“Luna...?” He asked softly. Hearing his voice, the princess looked up at him and her eyes widened, her cheeks were stained with tears. “Who...” She whispered. “Who are thee?” “Auntie Luna, it’s me.” Drew replied.
Luna gasped, shock registered all over her face. “D-D-Drew...?” She whispered. “H-How...W-Why?” “I’m not really sure of it myself.” Drew replied, looking around. “Nightmare Moon threw me into a portal, and I had to climb a mountain.” “Oh no...” Luna replied, bowing her head. “She has you too...”
More tears welled her eyes. “Oh Drew...” She croaked out. “I’m...sorry...” “It’s all...my fault, I’ve...dragged you...into this...” “Don’t say that Luna!” Drew replied. “Hang on, I’m getting you out of here!” He tried reached to yank the chains off, but they emitted a dark aura which glowed a bit, forcing him to back off.
“It’s no good...” Luna sadly explained, as she struggled a bit; the chains clanking as she moved. “These chains are draining me of my magic and sense of will...” “I don’t know how much longer I can resist her...” She looked at him with concern. “Drew...please, you have to run...” she told him. “Please...if she...finds you...”
Drew looked at her in concern. “I’m not leaving you, Auntie.” He replied. “There has to be a way to free you.” “Drew, please!!” Luna exclaimed, hot tears leaking from her eyes. “It’s thy fault you’re trapped here!” “We’re Nightmare Moon, we are darkness, we hurt thousands and now....” She bowed her head. “We hurt you...thy precious little nephew.”
“That’s not true.” Luna gasped as she looked at Drew with wide eyes. “Have you forgotten the many times we’ve spent together?” “Ever since I was a baby,” he explained. “you’ve been visiting me in my dreams.” “Even when you were imprisoned on the moon,” he added. “you always managed to see me.”
“Every night before I woke up, you kept telling me to save you.” Drew explained, before placing his hands on her shoulders. “Now, I’m here, and I’m not leaving without you.” Luna’s eyes welled with tears. “Why...?” She asked, her teary eyes staring deep into Drew’s “Why are you risking so much for me, Drew?”
“Because no one deserves to be left alone.” Drew replied, leaving Luna stunned. “No one should ever have to suffer like this.” “Not me, not you and especially not your sister....” Luna gasped. “Tia?” She muttered. “Yes.” Drew nodded. “Mother regretted banishing you all these years ago.” He explained. “She blamed herself for letting you suffer all this time; she loved you, Auntie...She really loved you.”
“Even now, she has been trying to search for a way to save you...” Luna’s lips trembled. “How can you be so sure?” She croaked out. “Trust in her.” Drew replied simply. “Trust in family, Auntie...” He added before moving closer to her until their foreheads touched together. “We want you back...I want you back.”
Luna didn’t know what to say. “Drew...” she whispered, before Drew suddenly turned around and got into a fighting stance. “I think we have company...” He replied. “What are you doing?” She asked before she suddenly went pale. “Oh no...” she muttered. “Not her... ”
A dark smoke appeared and molded into a figure. Soon, it revealed to be none other than Nightmare Moon. “You...” she snarled at Drew. “You proved to be more trouble than I thought...” “To think you would find her here...” She added, as she strode towards them. “No matter, I’ll personally eliminate you myself.”
“No!” Luna cried. “Please, don’t hurt him!” Nightmare Moon laughed as she looked at the chained-up princess. “And you... do you really think a mere boy will save you?” She taunted. “Even when your sister chose to banish instead of helping you...”
“Don’t you get it, Luna?” She added. “You’re weak, pathetic!!” “I made you what you are!” She continued. “I made you strong!” “Without me, you would still be that worthless princess living in your sister’s shadow!!” Those cruel words came out of pure excitement. “You would still be the scared little girl that no one cares about while your sister was loved and worshipped.” “YOU ARE NOTHING WITHOUT ME!!”
Drew’s hands balled into fists as he glared at her. As far as he knew, Nightmare Moon was the form of Luna’s jealously, but this...abomination must have a mind of its own if it enjoys insulting his aunt like this
Luna, on the other hand, looked down in shame. Nightmare Moon was right, she was weak. It was her weakness that created this monster. Her tears began pouring down from her eyes and sliding down her cheeks as her head hung low. The darkness seemed to take great pleasure in reminding her how forgotten she had become.
“You’re wrong...” Luna and Nightmare Moon turned to look at Drew who stood in front of the former. “Luna is stronger than you...” He shot back. “She’s stronger than you could ever be, witch!!” “How do you think she was able to keep you under control all this time!?” He asked. “How do you think she was able to visit me in my dreams even when she was stuck on the moon!?”
“Even now, she has been resisting you...” He added. “Even now, you haven’t truly taken her over.” “That proves, just how weak you are compared to her!!” Luna was amazed. “D-D-Drew...” she whispered. Nightmare Moon on the other hand, was enraged. “How dare you!?” She screamed, before she unleashed a dark tentacle and grabbed Drew by the throat. “Gak!!” Drew cried out.
“Drew!” Luan screamed in worry. Before long, Drew was dragged towards Nightmare Moon and slammed onto the ground in front of her. Drew tried to get up, but Nightmare Moon slammed her foot on his chest, causing him to gasp in pain.
“Don’t you dare compare me to her!!” She yelled. “I am Nightmare Moon; Empress of Darkness!!” she added. “I am stronger than Celestia or Luna combined!!!” Drew chuckled. “What’s wrong, witch?!” He taunted. “Are you scared?!” “Does the truth really hurt that much?!” he shot back.
“SILENCE!” Nightmare Moon screamed, stopping hard on Drew’s gut, causing him to gasp again. “What do you know, mortal?!” She summoned a whip and to Luna’s horror, she whipped at Drew on his chest. *FWHAP!!* “You don’t know anything about me!!”
“You don’t know the pain I suffered because of my sister!” She ranted, whipping him again and again. “How I constantly lived in her shadow!! How I hated seeing everyone enjoy her morning and not my night! HOW SHE MADE ME FEEL USELESS!!!”
“Drew!!” Luna screamed, struggling harder to break free from her chains. “Stop it, please!! You’re killing him!!” “You’re... wrong!” Drew screamed back, causing Nightmare Moon and Luna to gasp. He was badly scarred on his chest and face. “You think...you’re the one suffering?!”
“You’re...not...the only...one in pain...!” He argued, glaring at Nightmare Moon. “Did you...have...any idea...how Celestia felt...when she was forced...to banish her own sister?!” “How she would cry...every night...at the thought of losing Luna?!” He added. “So, don’t you tell me what pain feels like when haven’t seen what you did to her?!”
*FWHAP!!*
“SILENCE!!” Nightmare Moon screamed, striking her whip at Drew’s face. Luna’s eyes widened and her face grew pale when she saw blood fly out. “I’VE HAD IT WITH YOUR TAUNTS!!” She raised her whip high again .
“STOP IT!!!” Drew and Nightmare Moon froze and turned to see Luna, a look of heartbreaking sadness and tears were cascading down like waterfalls. “Please, stop....!” “Don’t hurt him!!” She begged. “I’m the one you want! I’m the one who made you like this!” “Please...” She croaked out, sobbing. “Don’t hurt my nephew...”
Silence fell... No one spoke a word. Suddenly, Nightmare Moon felt something, several strange presences in her castle. Drew felt it too and smiled. “It’s alright, Auntie...” He assured her, getting her attention. “You don’t have to worry.”
“W-What are you talking about?” She asked. Drew chuckled. “It’s my friends, they made it...” He replied. “They’re here to help us.” Luna grew confused. “What do you mean?” Nightmare Moon hissed angrily. “So, those girls got pass my traps...” She snarled. “No matter, all the more reason to finish you off!!”
*CRACK!* “AAAAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!” Drew screamed as he felt one of his ribs crack under Nightmare Moon’s foot. “DREW!” Luna screamed and watched in horror as the dark sorceress lifted him up by wrapping a tentacle around his neck.
“It’s...okay, Auntie....” Drew weakly replied, smiling at her. “Trust...in me, trust...in family...trust in... your sister...” Nightmare Moon formed a spear of dark magic and aimed it at Drew’s throat. “I’ve heard just about enough from you...” She growled, before turning to Luna. “Take one last look at your nephew, Luna!” She said to her. “It will be the last thing you ever see!”
“No!!” Luna screamed, struggling harder in her restraints. “Stop, STOP, STOOOOOPPPPPP!!!!!!!!” She screamed. Nightmare Moon raised the spear high. “Say farewell, young prince...” She taunted. Suddenly, just when it seemed to be the end, Luna suddenly remembered something.
(Flashback...)
It was a stormy night and poor Luna just had a terrible nightmare. She couldn’t go back to sleep, the looming shadows cast dark shapes around her room and she could hear strange, spine-chilling sounds everywhere.
Without the second thought, she raced into her sister’s bedroom. Imagine Celestia’s surprise and worry when she saw her sister crying her eyes out. “Shh...” she soothed, gently hugging Luna and wiping her tears with her wings. “It’s okay, you can sleep with me tonight...” She replied. “The shadows won’t harm you as long as I am here...”
Luna snuggled closer to Celestia, enjoying her warm embrace. She wished she would never leave. Suddenly, she was enveloped in a warm light and gasped when she found herself in the palace. “H-How?” she asked, looking around.
Suddenly, she heard someone on the balcony and turned to see her sister looking up at the full moon in the sky. “Tia...?” She gasped. “Tia!!” She exclaimed, running towards her. “I’m so glad to see you!” She rushed up to hug her, only for her to pass through her, much to her shock.
“Tia?” She asked again, reaching out again. To her surprise, her hand just passed through her. “Luna...” The said princess looked at Celestia as she spoke. “If only I tried harder... maybe you would be with me now...”
It was then Luna realized, she was inside a memory where Nightmare Moon trapped Celestia and began draining her power. Did that somehow connect to them? Or was it the bond they shared with the Elements had something to do with it?
Either way, she just stood and listened to Celestia as she continued. “I remember when our parent brought you home.” She smiled softly. “You were the most adorable little girl; you were so energetic, you almost always tipped over...” “I was so nervous that you wouldn’t like me.” She let out a solemn laugh. “But when you tipped over and hugged my face, all my nerves subsided.”
“Do you remember when you first tried to pronounce my name? The only part you got right was...Tia.” Luna’s eyes widened when she saw Celestia’s eyes well up with tears. “I’m sorry...Luna...” She croaked. “I’m sorry...I failed you...” “I remember the first day when I raised the sun; I was so nervous, but then you came running up to me.”
“I still remember the words clearly... ‘Tia, I want to grow up to be just like you’.” She covered her mouth to stifle the sobs, to no avail. “You were always there to support me, and I promised to look after you as your big sister...” She added. “When we accomplished something great, I felt so proud that I... began to lose sight of what was important...”
By now, Celestia’s tears were cascading down like two waterfalls. “It’s my fault...” She croaked out. “I let my ego get the best of me... I mistook your concerns and loneliness as childish overreactions... I failed to take them seriously and now...I may have lost you forever.”
Celestia completely broke down in tears. “I’m...sorry, Luna!” She wailed, in a tone of grief and self-hate. “It’s not fair, it's not fair that you have to suffer for my failures!” “Not a day goes by when I am reminded of how I failed you!!” She wrapped her arms around herself. “Only now, when it's too late, I wish to act as your big sister...!”
“Please...Luna...” She lifted her teary eyes to the full moon. “I would never abandon you...if given a chance to start over, I’ll gladly take it!!” “Please...” she whispered. “Can you ever find it in your heart to forgive me...?”
Luna was deeply moved to tears at what she saw. She couldn’t believe how much her sister was hurting. “No, sister...” she whispered softly. “It is I who should apologize to you... I should never have abandoned our bond...”
“Momma...” Luna turned around and her eyes widened to see a 2-year old Drew toddling over to her, holding onto a blanket. “Drew...” Celestia gasped, rubbing away her tears. “What are you doing, sweetie?” Drew rocked his little body side to side. “Getting some milk but I heard you crying.”
The little toddler tugged at her dress. “Is it about Auntie Luna?” Celestia sniffed as she picked up her little son and held him tightly. “Yes...sweetheart.” She croaked. “I miss her so much.” Drew wrapped his chubby arms around her neck and hugged her. “Don’t worry, momma.” He told her. “Auntie Luna will be okay...”
“How do you know?” Celestia asked. “I saw her, Momma.” He replied. “I saw Auntie Luna.” Celestia looked at him in shock. “You saw her...?” She asked. Drew nodded. “She visits me in my dreams, Momma.” He replied. “She plays with me, every night.”
Celestia listened in shock silence. “She tells me that bad moon lady keeps her locked up on the Moon,” he smiled. “but some day, I’m going to save her.” “One day, I’ll bring Auntie Luna back,” he added, proudly. “and we can be a family again.” He hugged his mother again. “So, don’t be sad, Momma.” He assured her. “I’ll save Auntie Luna”
Celestia grew a smile and kissed her son on the cheek. “Thank you, Drew...” She softly replied. Luna was also smiling. “Yes...thank you, Drew.” She whispered. “Thank you for never losing faith with me.”
“I...I won’t let this abomination win...” She added. “I won’t let it do as it pleases anymore.” A new surge of power flowed within Luna-
(Flashback end...)
“This is the end, boy!!” Nightmare Moon screamed as she prepared to plunge the spear on Drew’s neck. The prince closed his eyes as the spear glowed. He was ready to accept his fate.
*BOOM!!!*
A loud explosion of dark but benevolent energy knocked Nightmare Moon off her feet, causing her to release Drew. They looked and gasped to see Princess Luna, standing tall and proud. Her chains were gone and her long blue hair was flowing gracefully. Her blue gown shimmered brightly with white sparks like star in the night sky and her skin was glowing a deep cerulean blue.
“Auntie Luna!!” Drew exclaimed, grinning widely. Luna smiled at him and caressed his cheek. “Thank you, my dear nephew.” She replied, softly. “Thank you for never losing faith in me.” She turned to her dark counterpart. “Now, let us drive this parasite out of my body for good!!” She added, as her blue wings spread out wide.
“With pleasure!!” Drew declared. “RRRRAAAAAGGGGHHHHHH!!!!” Nightmare Moon screamed, charging forward, only for Luna to summon a shield strong enough for the dark maiden to crash into it.
“Eat fist, witch!!” Drew yelled as the shield dropped down and he delivered a punch to her gut, causing to gasp in pain. At the same time, Luna summoned a small orb and struck the dark maiden on the face, making her scream.
“Yeah, go get her Auntie!!” Drew cheered as he dodged several magic shots in his direction. Luna retaliated by shooting dozen magic shots into Nightmare Moon’s path, summoning a force field. The dark maiden’s hair solidified and lashed out at her, sending her flying back screaming.
“Hey!” Nightmare Moon turned, to see Drew lunging at her. “Kiss this!!” He added, kicking his foot at her face so hard that she landed on the ground. Nightmare Moon coughed out blood as Drew jumped away when a charged ball of energy struck at her, exploding.
Luna descended to the ground and landed next to Drew. The smoke cleared to see Nightmare Moon staggering to her feet; her armor badly damaged, blood coming out from her mouth and she was breathing heavily.
“How...?!” She screamed. “How is this possible?!” “I am power incarnate!!” She raged. “I am pure darkness!!!” “No...” Drew replied. “You’re just a shadow possessing a body.” “You are a miserable creature; born of envy, grief and spite...” he added. “Something that my aunt decided to move from.”
Luna smiled at him again. “Thou are correct, my nephew...” She replied proudly. “I thank you for it.” She glared at Nightmare Moon again. “Now...time to throw this monster out of my body for good. ”
Electricity began to form around her as a giant violent and black orb appeared over her head. “No...No...NO!!!!” Nightmare Moon was close to losing it. “I WILL NOT LOSE!!” “DARKNESS WILL RULE ALL OVER EQUESTRIA!!!”
With that, Nightmare Moon took a deep breath as magic began to form around her. “DIE!!!” She screamed as she launched a dark beam from her mouth. “Thou shalt not rule me any longer, monster!” Luna declared as she sent the magic orb of energy forward, colliding with the beam.
“I’m here for you, Auntie!!” Drew added as he reached out and held Luna’s hands. The magic orb of energy grew bigger and stronger, pushing back Nightmare Moon’s attack. “NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” The dark maiden screamed in terror as the magic orb slammed into her.
*BOOM!!!!!!*
A colossal explosion rang out in the entire room, creating a massive cyclone and engulfing the room in a bright, white light.

Chapter 10: The Seven Elements of Harmony
“The Elements...are here?” Twilight asked as she and her friends made their way into the main chamber of the Castle of the Two Sisters. The whole castle was covered in vines and five stone sculptures of the Elements were lying on the ground at the center.
“One, Two, Three, Four...” Pinkie counted. “Uh...There’s only five.” “Where’s the Sixth Element?” Rainbow asked, looking around in confusion. Twilight bent down at the stone sculptures. “The book said: when the five are present, a spark will cause the sixth Element to be revealed. ”
“What in the hay is that supposed to mean?” Applejack asked. “I’m not sure...but I might have an idea.” Twilight replied as she sat cross-legged and placed her hands together. “Stand back. I don't know what will happen.” Magenta magic began to form on her hands.
“Come on now, y'all.” Applejack spoke up as she and the others left the room. “She needs to concentrate.” Twilight was left inside with the Elements. However, a dark haze appeared in the stones and formed a great tornado, making her gasp in shock.
“The Elements!” She screamed and leapt into the tornado, just as her friends rushed inside. “Twilight!!” They all exclaimed, but the tornado disappeared in a flash of light. “Twilight, where are you?” Applejack called out.
“Look!” Rarity exclaimed, pointing to a shining light coming from another tower outside. “Come on!” Applejack added as the girls raced off to help their friends.
(With Twilight...)
Twilight landed in a puff of smoke, coughing and dusting herself. As she stood up, she grew pale when she saw Nightmare Moon standing before her. “Hello there...” she crooned. “So nice...of you to join me.”
Twilight quickly composed herself and charged at her, summoning magic with her hands. Smirking, the Night Princess gathered her own magic and charged back at her. Just as they were about to collide, Twilight disappeared, surprising and stopping the witch in her charge.
Soon, the lavender girl appeared in front of the stones using her magic; a light suddenly appeared in them...as fast as it disappeared. “What?!” Twilight gasped. “Where's the sixth Element?!” Before she could figure something out, Nightmare Moon appeared and with a mighty stomp, she sent the girl flying back and smashing the Elements to pieces. “NO!!” Twilight screamed in horror.
“Hahahahahahaha!!! You fools!” Nightmare Moon laughed maniacally. “Did you really think you can defeat me so easily?!” “Now you will never see your princess, or your sun again!” She declared. “The night will last forever!”
Twilight looked on in horror and defeat; she lost...she failed to stop Nightmare Moon. Now, she feared that Princess Celestia and Drew were gone forever.
“Hey, Twilight!”
“Where were you?”
She heard the others’ voices and then...it all became clear. Her eyes widened in realization... the Elements weren’t destroyed, they were with her the whole time! “You think you can destroy The Elements of Harmony just like that?” She asked, turning back to the witch. “Well, guess again, because the spirits of The Elements of Harmony are right here .”
At that moment, the other girls rushed into the chamber and in the same moment, the shattered remains of the stones glowed brightly and rose into the air, much to the witch’s horror. “What?!” Nightmare Moon gasped in shock. “What is this?!” Twilight smirked proudly.
“Applejack , who reassured me when I was in doubt, represents the spirit of... Honesty!” She declared as a golden necklace with an orange and green apple-shaped gem appeared around the cowgirl’s neck. At the same time, her Cutie Mark on her left cheek glowed brightly.
“Flutter-Shy , who tamed the manticore with her compassion, represents the spirit of... Kindness!” Another golden necklace with a pink butterfly-shaped gem appeared around the shy girl’s neck and her Cutie Mark glowed brightly.
“Pinkie Pie , who banished fear by giggling in the face of danger, represents the spirit of... Laughter!” Her necklace had a blue balloon-shaped gem that resembled her Cutie Mark as they both glowed.
“Rarity , who calmed a sorrowful serpent with a meaningful gift represents the spirit of... Generosity!” The fashion girl’s necklace had a purple diamond-shaped gem, similar to her Cutie Mark.
“And Rainbow Dash , who could not abandon her friends for her own heart's desire represents the spirit of... Loyalty!” Dash’s necklace had a red thunderbolt-shaped gem, similar to her Cutie Mark.
“The spirits of these five ponies got us through every challenge you threw at us.” Twilight added, proudly. “Thanks to them, I finally know the truth!” Nightmare Moon was now panicking. “No...No! You still don't have the sixth Element!” She screamed. “The spark didn't work!”
“That’s because it wasn’t the spark...”
A voice said, causing everyone to look around, when suddenly, right next to the Mane 6, a blue portal appeared from the ground. To everyone’s shock, an arm came out and Drew jumped out. “It’s a different kind of spark.”
“Drew!?” The girls exclaimed in surprise, shock or in Twilight’s case, relief. “YOU?!” Nightmare Moon was the most shocked. “How did you escape my prison, it’s impenetrable?!” “Prison?!” The girls added.
“Prison?” Drew scoffed. “You think your stupid prison was going to stop me from returning to my friends.” “D-Darling! What does she mean-” Rarity asked before she noticed the state he was in and gasped in horror. “D-Drew...is that blood...?”
All the girls looked at him and to their horror, they saw his clothes were torn, his chest and face were scarred and blood was around him. Some of the girls covered their mouths and their eyes watered at seeing the state he was in.
“I can explain later...” Drew replied seriously. “Right now, I believe Twilight has finally found out what she needs to beat her.” His words snapped Twilight out of her shock.
“Drew’s right!” She exclaimed. “I felt it the very moment I realized when I was about to lose them. The moment I realized how much I cared about them. The spark ignited inside me when I realized that the ponies I met and traveled with me here this night... are my friends !”
“You see, Nightmare Moon, when those Elements are ignited by the... the spark , that resides in the heart of us all, it creates the sixth element: the element of... Magic!” Suddenly, a bright light shone above Twilight.
Soon, more lights flashed as an orb of magic appeared on Twilight’s head and turned into a golden tiara with a pink star on the top. Suddenly, the lights went into Drew; his whole body began to glow uncontrollably and his wound healed instantly.
“No!” Nightmare Moon screamed. Drew grinned at the witch. “You know, witch...” He replied. “There’s a forgotten legend than when all six elements are combined, the long-lost 7th element will appear and be given to someone worthy and pure of heart!”
“I’ve been Twilight’s closest friends,” he added. “I stood up for all of the good people of Pony-Ville and I am willing to protect Equestria until the day I die!” All the girls began glowing as rainbow energy burst from the Mane 6 and entered Drew as he glowed like a rainbow.
“I represent the Element of... Heroism !!” He declared. “NOW TASTE THE RAINBOW, NIGHTMARE MOON!!” With that, he unleashed a rainbow blast at the witch. Nightmare Moon tried summoning her shield, but it was worthless as it shattered into pieces.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!” The witch screamed as the rainbow wave headed towards her and struck her hard, and everything went white.
(2 minutes later...)
As the light disappeared, the friends groaned as they staggered to their feet. “Oh...my head...” Rainbow groaned as she caressed her head. “Everybody okay?” Applejack asked. “Oh thank goodness!” Rarity exclaimed, as her long purple tail was newly grown again.
“Why Rarity, it's so lovely.” Flutter-Shy complimented. “I know!” Rarity replied, hugging her tail. “I'll never part with it again.” “No, I mean your necklace.” Flutter-Shy gesturing to Rarity’s necklace. “It looks just like your cutie mark.”
Rarity checked and indeed her necklace was like her Cutie Mark. “So does yours!” Everyone checked out their new accessories and were amazed. “Gee, Twilight!” Applejack spoke up. “I thought you were just spoutin' a lot of hooey, but I reckon we really do represent the elements of friendship.”
“Indeed you do.”
Suddenly, the brightness of the Sun’s glow filled the whole room and drew their attention. From it appeared a gorgeous woman with long rainbow flowing hair that reached her waist, she wore a white silken robe, two great white wings were on her back, a long unicorn horn was on her forehead and sporting a calm, beautiful face.
The girls bowed, except Twilight, who ran up to her. “Princess Celestia!” She exclaimed as she hugged the princess who returned the gesture. “Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student...” Celestia said proudly. “I knew you could do it.”
Twilight seemed stunned at this revelation. “Princess...you...you made it seem like it was an old fairy tale. Nightmare Moon’s returning...why?” Celestia smiled. “I told you that you needed to make some friends, nothing more.” she replied. “I saw the signs of Nightmare Moon's return, and I knew it was you who had the magic inside to defeat her, but you could not unleash it until you let true friendship into your heart.”
Twilight looked at her teacher, then she looked back at her friends. Her teacher was right, without friendship, she couldn’t have stopped Nightmare Moon. “Now if only another will as well.” Celestia added as she turned to Princess Luna, now restored and free from Nightmare Moon.
However, she grew worried when she saw her sister walking towards her with a grim expression. “It has been a thousand years since I have seen you like this.” Celestia stated. “I’ve been waiting a long time to say this” Luna braced herself for her sister’s wrath.
“I’m sorry.”
Luna was stunned into silence as Celestia’s expression softened. “I failed to be there for you when you needed me the most.” The Sun Princess explained. “Because of my mistakes, you had to suffer for a thousand years.”
“No matter our differences, we’re still family.” She added as tears welled up in her eyes. “We should never let anything tear us apart...” “It’s time to put our differences behind us.” She finished. “We were meant to rule together, little sister.”
The girls gasped. “Sister?” Twilight and Rainbow asked in unison. Luna looked with wide eyes at her sister. It was then Drew’s words echoed in her mind.
“Trust in family, Auntie... We want you back...I want you back.”
Tears began to fall from Luna’s eyes. “I’m sorry!” She exclaimed, before running up and throwing her arms around her big sister. “I missed you so much, big sister.” “I missed you, too” Celestia replied as she wept as well.
The girls smiled at the happy ending, even Pinkie was bawling like crazy. Twilight was especially moved. She suddenly remembered Drew’s words.
“Learn to accept the people around you.”
She smiled gratefully at his words. She realized she hadn’t been fair to Drew when they came to Pony-Ville. Suddenly, her eyes widened in realization. “Wait!” She exclaimed. “Where’s Drew?!”
Everyone’s eyes widened. “Drew’s here?!” Luna and Celestia asked. Everyone looked around the castle. “Urrgh...” a groan could be heard behind them. Looking back, they saw Drew staggering to his feet.
“What happened?” He asked, rubbing his head. “Did we win?” “Drew!!” Twilight screamed as she tackled him to a tight hug. “You’re alright!” “I was so worried about you...!” Drew smiled as he patted her on the back. “I’m fine, T-S...” He assured her gently
“Drew/Drew-y!!” Once again, Drew was tackled, this time by Pinke and Flutter-Shy. “Darling, are you alright?” Rarity added, as she walked up to him. “Of course!” Drew grinned. “I’m not so easily beaten!”
However, they heard several gasps from them and he felt something around his neck. To his surprise, he found a golden necklace with a gem in the shape of a unicorn’s head with wings. “...Okay, this is new.”
“Drew!” The said boy turned to see his adoptive mother, looking at him in shock and joy. “Mom!” He replied, before Celestia hugged him tightly. “Drew, my baby boy!” She squealed, hugged and kissing him all over. “Mmmpf!!!” Drew’s cries were muffled as he was smothered by his mother’s tight hugs.
“Thank goodness, you’re safe!” Celestia pulled away and shed a few tears as she smiled at her son. Suddenly, her eyes widened when she saw his necklace and gasped. “It...It can’t be?” She muttered. “Mom, what is it?” Drew asked in confusion.
“It’s true...” Celestia replied in amazement. “The legend of the Lost Element is true!” “Lost Element?” Twilight asked in confusion as everyone stared at her. “When Luna and I were researching of the Elements, we found there was a 7th Element of Harmony with the power of all Six Elements combined.” The Mane 6 girls were astonished to hear that.
“We tried and search many times, but we were unable to make it appear.” She continued. “Our only clue was the words left...The Lost Element will only appear when one who is of true heart and pure spirit. ” “Now...” she added, looking at Drew with pride. “It has finally been found, thanks to you, Drew.”
Drew couldn’t believe it. “I’m the 7th Element?” He asked. “Dude, that’s awesome!” Rainbow replied, patting his back hard. “I didn’t think you would get more badass!” “Yeah!” Pinkie Pie added, her eyes sparkling in excitement. “You are the most amazing prince, EVER!!!!!”
Drew blushed brightly. “D-Drew?” The said boy turned and his eyes grew wide when he saw Luna coming towards him, staring at him. “Is...it...really you?” Drew stared for a moment before smiling. “I told you, Auntie.” He replied “I promised to bring you back...”
Luna’s eyes watered with tears as she covered her mouth with hands. “DREW!!” She cried, as she wrapped her arms around her nephew and hugged him tightly. “Thank you, Drew...” She croaked out. “Thank you for never giving up on me...” Drew just smiled and hugged her back.
Everyone smiled at the touching scene. “We’re together again, Auntie.” Drew soothed her.
“You’ll never be alone again.” Luna smiled at her nephew and planted three kisses on his cheeks and his forehead.
“Well, now that’s settled,” Pinkie spoke up before grabbing Drews arm and pulling him close to her. “we’ve got more important things to do!” Drew grinned. “Yep!” He added. “It’s time to PARTY!!!!!!”
(Pony-Ville)
The citizens of Pony-Ville cheered and celebrated the return of their princesses. News of Nightmare Moon’s defeat spread like wildfire across the town. Everyone was shocked at the appearance of Princess Luna, who they learned was no other than Nightmare Moon.
Fortunately, Princess Celestia cleared things up by explaining how the Mane 7 obtained the Elements of Harmony and freed Luna from her dark counterpart for good. Many were even more surprised when they discovered their prince Drew, was the legendary 7th Element and had survived a fight with Nightmare Moon.
Everyone cheered for the Mane 7 and called them heroes for saving Equestria and Princess Luna. Speaking of which, the Moon Princess was accepted back with open arms, with two young pegasi Ponyain children made a flower crown for her, which she accepted with tears and a smile.
Before she knew, Drew approached her, grabbed her arms and pulled her onto the dance floor. Luna blushed in shyness and surprise before beginning to dance with him, feeling herself with pure joy as others join him.
Celestia watched proudly. “It’s so good to see her enjoying herself.” She thought as she drank some apple cider. “I was worried how everyone would react to her, knowing who she once was.”
It was then she noticed her pupil looking down all sad. She walked up to her. “Is something wrong Twilight?” She asked, her voice getting the girl to look at her. “Are you not happy that your quest is complete and you can return to your studies in Canterlot?”
“That's just it.” Twilight replied, looking down again. “Just when I learned how wonderful it is to have friends, I have to leave them.” She did her best to hide her sadness, but failed. “And what about Drew?” She asked. “It’s not fair that he has to leave too, he finally has a chance to make real friends...”
Celestia smiled and it was here she decided. “Spike, take a note, please.” The purple dragon boy appeared out of nowhere with a scroll and quill in hand. “I, Princess Celestia, hereby decree that the unicorn Twilight Sparkle and my son, Drew Spirit-Mane shall take on a new mission for Equestria. They must continue to study the magic of friendship and must report to me her findings from her new home in Pony-Ville. ”
Those words made Twilight Sparkle smile of pure joy before the Mane 7 hugged her in joy as well. “Oh thank you, Princess Celestia!” Twilight vowed. “I'll study harder than ever before.” “Mom, do you mean it?” Drew asked. “Do you really want me to stay?”
Celestia smiled at her adopted son and gently cupped his cheeks. “Drew,” she told him. “I knew on the night I found you as a baby that you are destined for great things.” “I knew that one day that you will have to find your own destiny...” she added. “Now, you have received the long lost 7th Element.” “Besides, as the Element of Heroism, someone needs to protect this town and these fine girls,” she gave a wry smile. “And who better than the Prince of Equestra himself?”
Drew smiled and hugged his mother. “Thank you, Mom!” He replied. “I’ll make you proud.” The girls smiled. “Well, Drew...” Applejack grinned “You ready for your new life as a hero?” Drew grinned back. “You bet!” He replied. “Now, let’s party!!!!!!”
MLP FIM: The Visionary of Equestria
Equestria...a land of magic, wonder and mystery. Home to magical and fantastical creatures. And it was ruled by two regal sisters who spread harmony and friendship, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna.
Celestia used her power to raise the sun at dawn while Luna used her power to brought out the moon at night. Thus, the two sisters maintained balance for the kingdom and their subjects, for all the different kinds of pony-folk and other creatures.
However as time went on, Luna grew envious of her sister’s popularity. While everyone enjoyed and relished the day her sister brought forth, they shunned and slept through her beautiful night. One fateful day, Luna refused to lower the moon to bring about the dawn. Celestia tried to reason with her sister, but Luna’s bitterness and jealousy had transformed her into a being of pure darkness: Nightmare Moon!!
She vowed to plunge the land in eternal night. Reluctantly, Celestia harnessed the power of the most powerful magic in all of Equestria: the Elements of Harmony. With the Elements of Harmony, Celestia defeated her younger sister and banished her to the moon.
Celestia took responsibility for both sun and moon and harmony was maintained throughout Equestria for generations since. However, it is said that Nightmare Moon will return and exact her revenge on Celestia and all of Equestria and only the Elements of Harmony can stop her.
It was a quiet and peaceful night in the great city of Canterlot, the full moon shining down on the castle and the stars twinkling like diamonds. Everyone was fast asleep in the castle, all but one.
We find a beautiful maiden with long flowing hair of rainbow colored hair which reached to her waist and sparkled like gem stones walking in the garden. She wore a long, white dress that reached down to her feet and wore golden bracelets on her wrists .
Around her neck, was a golden necklace with a purple gem in the center and golden shoes on her feet. On her head was a golden crown with a purple gen at its top. What was strange about her was that her ears were long and pony-like and two great wings were on her back.
This is Princess Celestia, the wise, kind but lonely ruler of Equestria. Normally, she enjoyed these peaceful, nightly walks. Now, her heart was heavy with sorrow and regret. As she looked up at the full moon, her lavender eyes welled up with tears when she saw the silhouette of a woman on the moon’s surface.
“Oh...Luna...” She croaked out, trying to hold back her tears. “How long do I have to suffer like this...?” “How long... must we be apart from each other...?” She sobbed quietly to herself. Memories of her sister flooded into her mind, happy memories of their sisterly bond before jealously overcame her and turned her into Nightmare Moon, forcing her to banish her to the moon.
*Waaah...Waaah....*
A strange noise snapped Celestia out of her mourning and looked around in surprise. “Who’s there?” She asked. Her pony-like ears picking up the sound of crying, like the sound of an infant crying. She lifted up her dress and followed the sound to some bushes.
As she got closer, the crying grew louder. Carefully, she parted the bushes to find out what was making the noise. What she saw made her gasp and her eyes widen. Lying on a bed of moss, was a little baby boy, about a month old with black hair and wrapped in a swaddling blanket. It was crying and wiggling its chubby arms in the air. There was a note attached to the front.
“Oh my goodness...” Celestia whispered, her face softening into a concerned look. “Where did you come from, little one?” She asked gently as she tenderly lifted the baby in her arms and rocked it gently. She looked around, wondering where its parents were; only to find no sigh of them.
It was then she noticed the note attached to the blanket and opened it up. It read:
To whoever finds this child,
I am the caretaker of this child. He was given to me after his parents have died since they have no living relatives. I was able to care for him for a few months but times have grown hard and I am unable to care for him any longer. Out of love for him, I decided to give him to someone who will love and care for him just like I have. I am sorry if I have caused any inconvenience to you but I had no other options. If you are unable to care for him yourself, then at least make sure he is raised by a family who will love him no matter what.
P.S His name is Drew Spirit-Mane and he will be destined for great things
Sincerely,
M
Celestia looked at the note with interest before looking back at the baby, who had stopped crying. The infant looked up at the princess with bright blue eyes, before it squealed with delight and reached out with chubby little hands. Celestia smiled at the little baby boy and kissed him gently on the forehead.
“Come, little one.” She spoke gently to him. “Time to show you to your new home.” With that, she walked back into the palace with the little baby still in her arms. Baby Drew giggled innocently, he knew nothing of the many adventures he would have or the special friends he would meet.

Chapter 8: The Everfree Forest and Iron Moon Mountain Part 4
(In the Everfree Forest...)
“There it is!” Twilight called out as the Mane 6 girls reached the edge of the Everfree Forest. Right before them were the ruins of the Castle of the Two Sisters. “The ruin that holds The Elements of Harmony. We made it!”
She raced forward excitedly, with the rest of the girls following behind her. “Twilight, wait for us!” Applejack called out. “We're almost there.” Twilight replied. “WHOA!!” She screamed as she came to a sudden stop at the edge of a large gorge with an old rope bridge dangling on their side.
Twilight scrambled back just in time. “What's with you and falling off cliffs today?” Rainbow asked in amusement. “Now what?” Pinkie asked. “Duh,” Rainbow replied, proudly. “Just leave it to me.” With that, she flew over the gorge and grabbed the other end of the rope bridge.
She flew up to the other side of the gorge and was tying it up when a strange fog rolled in.
“Rainbow...” A voice echoed in the fog. Rainbow-Dash jumped and looked around. “Who’s there?” She called out at the fog. “Rainbow...” The voice echoed again. Rainbow put her fists up and got into a fighting stance. “I ain't scared of you!” She called out. “Show yourself!”
“We've been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the best flyer in Equestria.” The voice spoke. Rainbow grew surprised. “Who?” She asked. “Why, you of course. ” The voice replied. “Really?!” Rainbow asked, a bit embarrassed. “I mean... Oh yeah, me.”
“Hey, uh, you wouldn't mind telling the Wonder-Bolts that, would ya?” She asked eagerly. “Cause, I've been trying to get into that group for like, ever .” “No, Rainbow Dash” The voice replied, more clearer. “We want you to join us...”
The fog cleared to reveal three Ponyains, all dressed in dark colored flight suits and wearing goggles with yellow lenses. They had a symbol of skulls with wings on the chest of their flight suits. “We’re the Shadow-Bolts.”
(At the same time, with Drew...)
Drew shivered as cold seeped through his skin. He was now in another cavern that was covered in ice. Huge icicles hung from the ceiling and below was a chasm with ice spikes sticking out like thorns on a rose.
“What kind of mountain is this? ” Drew thought as he rubbed his hands trying to keep warm. There was a long ice archway that acted as a bridge across the chasm. “What is it with the place and bridges?” He grumbled as he began crossing over to a cave on the other side.
“GO BACK!!” Drew froze when a large white ogre stepped out from the shadows and stood in front of him. “You don’t belong here!!” “Oh, come on already!!!” Drew yelled in frustration. “What do you want?!”
“I am the Guardian of the Ice Cavern!” The ogre boomed. “Go back to where you belong!!” “I’m not going anywhere!!” Drew shot back defiantly. “I need to find my friends and getting to the top is the only way!!” “No one goes to the top of Iron Moon Mountain without my mistress’s permission!!” The ogre boomed again. “Now, leave or you die!”
“I’m not going anywhere!!” The young prince declared, putting his fists up. “You gonna have to drag me out with my cold dead body!!” “RRRRRRAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!” The ogre roared, pulling out a large hammer, made out of bones and charging forward.
Drew charged back at him and dove between the ogre’s legs just as the monster swung his hammer at him. “Look behind you, bone head!!” He taunted before jumping at the ogre’s face. Just as the ogre turned, Drew landed a punch on the ogre’s eye! *POW!!*
“AAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!” The ogre screamed, clutching his eye and stepping back. “You’ll gonna pay for that!!” He roared, before he swung his hammer and threw it at the ceiling, smashing some icicles and making them fall on Drew.
“Oh fudge!!” Drew cried, holding out his arms to shield himself as the icicles collapsed on him, burying him under a pile of icicles. “Ha!” The ogre laughed. “Not so tough now, are you boy?!” *Rumble~~* However, his eyes widened when he saw the pile of ice shaking.
“RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!” The pile broke apart as Drew broke free from the pile and charged at the ogre, grabbing a nearby icicle and leaping at him. “Have a taste of this!!” He roared, swinging the icicle like a club and striking the ogre, right in the face!!
The huge monster fell into the chasm and landed hard on the ground, smashing the ice spikes into pieces. Drew breathed heavily as he stared down at the ogre, he was lying still, groaning softly.
“I’ve wasted enough time...” He muttered before running across the chasm and into the cave on the other side.
(Back with the Mane 6 girls...)
Rainbow couldn’t believe what she was hearing. The leader of the Shadow-Bolts walked up to her. “We're the greatest aerial team in the Everfree Forest,” She explained as she circled around Rainbow Dash. “and soon we will be the greatest in all Equestria, but first, we need a captain. ”
Rainbow grew excited. “We need the most magnificent-” She added. “Yep.” Rainbow replied. “Swiftest-” “Yes.” “Bravest flyer in all the land.” “Yep,” Rainbow chuckled with pride. “it’s all true.” “We need...you.” The Shadow-Bolt leader finished.
“WOOHOO! Sign me up!” Rainbow cheered. “Just let me tie this bridge real quick and then we have a deal.” “No!” The Shadow-Bolt leader exclaimed, causing her to jump in shock. “It's them or us .”
On the other side of the gorge, the other girls were waiting. “Rainbow, what's taking so long?” Twilight asked in worry. However, she gasped when she saw Rainbow with the Shadow-Bolts. “Oh-no...” She muttered. “Rainbow! Don't listen to them.” She called out, but the fog rolled in.
Rainbow was getting conflicted. She wanted a chance to prove herself as Equestria’s greatest flier but leaving her friends behind was not something she wanted. “Well?” The Shadow-bolt leader asked. Silence fell...
“You...” Rainbow replied. “Thank you, for your offer.” She took to the air. “But,” she added, grinning. “I'm afraid I have to say no.” With that, she tied up the bridge and flew off to join her friends on the other side. The Shadow-Bolts scowled and disappeared into a dark mist.
The girls cheered as they crossed the bridge. “See?” Rainbow asked an impressed Twilight. “I'd never leave my friends hangin'.”
(Back with Drew...)
Drew was losing his mind in frustration, he had found himself in a gigantic maze with numerous corridors and passageways. For 2 hours, he had been wandering around it, trying to find some way of escape, but so far, all he found were dead ends.
“How long have I been wandering around here?” Drew moaned as he passed through what seemed to be his 20th passageway. “I’m gonna be a old man by the time I get outta of here.” Suddenly, he stopped and sniffed the air.
“Wait a second...” He muttered, as he smelled again. “That smells like...fresh air!” Drew picked up the pace, following the scent. “It’s getting stronger!!” Drew raced through the passageways, sniffed the clean fresh air. Finally, he reached the end of the maze and beamed with pride.
“Wait till the others hear about this...” He grinned as he walked through the passage way. Soon, he came to a large dining room, filled with delicious food. His eyes widened and his mouth slightly watered.
After climbing and passing through many obstacles, he wanted nothing more than to sit down and help himself to the food. However, just as he was about to reach for it, he froze. Something didn’t feel right...
There was an array of freshly cooked food in the middle of a room, with no other being in sight. Furthermore, how could anyone had known that he was coming? Drew stared at the food, part of him wanted to take some to fill his belly but another warned him that it was a trap, it could be poisoned or an illusion.
“Let’s see...” He muttered, as he picked a stone from the ground and held it in his hands. He stared at the food again, and in a split second, tossed the rock at the table. It struck a goblet and to Drew’s shock, it turned into a swarm of files and they buzzed off.
Soon, all the food transformed into swarms of creatures like wasps, beetles, rats, lizards and snakes. They all scurried, flew and slithered off, leaving an empty table behind. “It was an illusion...” Drew sighed. “What now?”
Suddenly, a golden light appeared before him and to his surprise, strange words appeared. “You are nearly there, young one.” They spoke. “Your destination is close, just break down that door.”
It pointed to a wooden door at the end of the room. Just as Drew wanted to ask, they disappeared. He stared at the door ahead of him. “Well,” he muttered, grinning. “this is it...” “Hang on, girls!” He exclaimed. “I’m coming!”
With a loud yell, Drew charged at the door and with all his might, he slammed against it. The door broke apart and in seconds, he was engulfed in a bright white light that filled the entire room and he felt himself being spun around and around until he passed out.
