A red t-shirt with a silver pegasus in mid flight on the front he got from his ex girlfriend. And his biker's leather jacket he got as a birthday gift from his friend and personal fitness coach. His silk jeans and black sport shoes completed the look. As he made his way down the hall, he looked in his backpack. sleeping bag: check Tent: check Snacks for at least a week: check Wallet: check Money to bribe guard: check Looking around the corner he smiled and approached the counter pulling out a letter, a signed CD, and 500 cash. "Don't open the letter till my manager shows." The lady blinked and nodded as she looked at the money and CD. "Consider it a tip and gift." He said before turning away. He didn't have to see her to know she snatched up the CD. He knew who the CD was going to. And like all his fans. It'd make her "best mom ever". Exiting the building he saw the guards. "What luck. I may just get away easier than I thought." He thought as he started to walk past, spanking one of the guards with his tail. This made his partner snicker. "Going out for some air boys. Don't wait up." He called back as he walked across the street to the park. As he walked a familiar feeling started to build in him. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath forcing it down. "No. This is my chance. I'm not going to mess it up." Opening his eyes he saw a train station. Blinking, he looked around. He was still in the park. Looking back to the station he slowly approached freezing for a moment when he saw an old gruff man in mishmash clothes. It was an odd look. But one the kid admitted the man pulled off. Walking up to him the kid asked. "Why is there a station in the middle of the park?" "Why else? For the train to pick people up at." The man replied in a gruff yet surprisingly inviting tone. The kid looked along the tracks one way then the other. "I doubt a train will come this late. But I can't help but notice how short the track is." "Oh?" The old man pondered as he looked down the track. "I thought those went into tunnels." "What tunnels?" At the question the old man pointed to two sets of trees that formed archways over two paths. "Those aren't tunnels. There...'' The kid stopped mid sentence as the sound of an approaching train came from one of the arches. "That makes no sense." He laughed. A few moments later a long train pulled up. To the kid's surprise. There was only one door. "You know there's a fea for the ride. Right?" The old man asked. "Sounds fair. How much?" The kid asked, pulling out a wad of money. "Not much." The old man said, pulling a silk bag from his shirt. "Oh. And you may want to put your money in here." The boy took the bag and did as he was told. "So. What's the price?" "How about... a song?" "Isn't there anything else?" "What's the matter? I hear you have an amazing voice. I'd like to hear it myself before you go." "I.... I.... I really would rather pay with something else." The kid said looking back down the path. "Fine." The old man sighed. "But it'll cost more." "What can cost me more than the risk of getting caught?" The old man thought about it. After a moment he spotted the silver pegasus and smiled. "Ok. How about this? I'll show you.... four cards. You pick one and after a nap. That'll be the new you." "Kinda a win win." "Well... there is a slight catch. It'll be hard NOT to sing where you'll be going." "Will they know my...?" "Doubt most will." "Still good... but..." "But?" "If I am going to change... can it be one of these?" He said pointing to his shirt. "Deal. Now go on. Don't want to keep the train waiting." With a smile the kid hopped on and looked back at the old man through the open door. "How about a song for the road?" The old man smiled. "Shout it loud." Much to the old man's surprise the park seemed to come alive with music. And soon the boy began to sing. Later in Equestria The kid yawned and stretched before looking around. He was still on the train. More importantly he was now free from the fans and spotlight. Not that he didn't mind it. But never having time to himself stunk. Memories of his last "vacation" danced in his head causing him to sigh. "No going back now." He thought with a smile. Turning he looked out the window at the vast desert. "Wow... I must have slept like a..." That's when he noticed. His reflection. It was that of a stallion. Not only that. But a tan one with a red, black and silver mane. What's more he had wings. "Holy...FUCK YA!" He shouted springing to his hoofs and prancing in place. "This is soooooooo cool." Quickly he looked around and let out a sigh to find he was alone. "Fuck it. I'm old enough to say and act how I want." He proclaimed before looking himself over. His mane and tail had the same stripes that seemed to fade into his wings and had feather tips that alternated between the three colors as if they were airspraid. His hoofs hand a dark silvery tint to them as did his chest fluff which poked out of his jacket. After a second look around he checked one more thing. Yeap. At least there was a bulge in his pants. Chuckling to himself he looked at his bag that seemed to have changed as well. Instead of a backpack. He had a saddle bag. With a smile he sat on the bed and started looking through his bag. Surprisingly, most of his things stayed the same. His snacks went from meat strips to what looked like sugar cane strips. Reaching in with a hoof he found it surprisingly easy to grab his pouch of money. To his surprise it made a tinging sound. Pulling it and a strip. Putting the end of the strip in his mouth to chew on, he looked in the bag. To his surprise his wad of bills turned to jems. Blinking he looked back in his bag and saw several similar bags. Another scan of the cart and he shoved the pouch back in his bag. "Ok... let's hope being rich isn't a rare thing. Or there's a bank I can use." The thought as he paced back and forth. "Maybe.." Another look in his bag revealed his mask that he pulled out. "Well. If I ever need it again. At least I have it." He sighed. Looking outside he saw the desert was replaced with trees and fields. "Next stop. Ponyville." A voice announced. With a shrug the kid carefully put on his bag and trotted to the door. As the train came to a stop the kid shot out the door letting his wings take him into the sky. Shakily at first of course. But he worked with winged creatures enough to understand the basics. As long as he kept his eyes open... "LOOK OUT!!!" And we have knocked out. Author's Note If you're reading to this point. Allow me to explain why I picked the song. 1: it sounded like it'd be a fitting farewell letter to his fans. 2: not only dose it sprak of endings. But new beginnings as well. 3: I did a little research on this. Turns out the video was a gift to his dad who died. Which ties it to this chapter in a way.

"You should open the door." Ray was still staring at it in shock as he slowly nodded. "Ya..." He agreed idly before taking a breath. Many years of practice had gotten him into the habit of calming himself before entering a door. To most it might seem odd. But for him? It was a way to keep the image others had of him. Even if he had a chance to break free he had unknowingly set in motion similar views of who he was. His mind repayed the past few hours. He had made it seem like he wasn't a fan of parties. It wasn't much of a stretch. But he had to correct that before it caught on. Rainbow and Twilight at the least thought he liked to joke around. That was true, so he didn't worry. As long as he can avoid the spotlight he was fine. Pushing the large double doors open he was quickly blasted with confetti. Blinking he saw a large room full of ponies and other creatures waving at him. Hanging over them was a banner that. Read: "WELCOME TO PONYVILLE RAY" "Fuck." He thought as they cleared a path to a large table that was covered in food. Gulping he calmly made his way to the table waving at those he passed. "This place is packed..." He laughed. Rainbow shrugged flying over him. "Ya... Pinkie has a tendency of going overboard on parties." As the two got to the table Ray spent several minutes greeting any who came to say "hi" as his friend flew over to a group of ponies. His eyes scanned the crowd before resting on a strange sight that caused his heart to skip a beat. There standing there between Twilight and a white coated unicorn was a pony sized purple dragon. It's green scales ran down Its spine. The gentle smile it had Ray thought would look out of place on other dragons... probably. It didn't take the stallion long to look over the other mares in the group. The unicorn next to the dragon had an elegant look about her. Her long purple mane and tail curled gently. Her white fur shimmered in the light. And like with several other ponies, his eyes were drawn to her rather slender soft looking flank. And at the diamonds on her flank. He had to admit they looked fitting on her. Even back home, to find a lady of such beauty speaking so openly wasn't easy to do. Next was Rainbow. He had to admit that just looking at her he can tell she valued her fitness over looks. Her light blue coat hugged tight to her sleek muscular frame. Her rainbow mane and tail looked windswept. Which was a look Ray found interesting. Her tight toned flank had a lighting bolt with the same colors as her mane. Ray took a moment to grab a mug and sip from it. The more he looked at the mares the more he thought of... shaking his head Ray put on a smile and looked around till he spotted the group that had the dragon in it. If he was to give these ponies a chance. He'd need to put his skills to work and learn about them and this town quickly. As his ears picked up conversations that mentioned names his eyes scanned the crowd for who the name may belong to. Vinyl was apparently the DJ. There was also a Big Mac who from the looks of it was a large red stallion. Ray had to bite his lip at the sight. The white mare he guessed was Rarity. Looking over at the group of friends he noticed their positions changed. He quickly spotted who he guessed was Fluttershy. Her pink mane was hanging loosely over her eyes. Her coat was a soft yellow much like a fresh banana. A part of him wondered what licking her would taste like. Her supple flank sported three butterflies, which was a helpful hint on who she was. Applejack was rather next. She had a toned build to her yellow hair and mane held by ribbons. Likely so it didn't get in the way of work. Her orange furr looked slightly unkempt for possibly the same reason. On her... slightly thick flank were three apples. Looking at his juice, Ray's mind wondered for a moment. He'd have to get some alone time after the party. Twilight had a rather generous flank with an arrangement of stars on it. Though most of her screamed schoolgirl. Her purple colorations were easy on the eyes. He rather liked the streaks in her mane. Last was Pinkie... wait. Why was she looking at him like that? And. Why is she shaking her... he facehoof. "There's one of you here too? Fuck." He muttered before turning to the table. Now he really wanted to avoid popularity. "Is there anything strong to drink?" He asked no pony in particular. "Nnnope." A deep voice replied next to him. "Outa season." "Fuck." Ray muttered, which got a chuckle from the stallion next to him. "What's wrong, partner?" The stallion asked. "Just trying to stay as unnoticeable as possible." Ray replied softly. "But I doubt it's working." "Nnnope." He confirmed. "The pink one is still shaking her flank at me?" Ray asked motioning to where the girls were. After a moment the stallion replied. "Eeyup." "Fuck. Let me guess. She's weird..." "Eeyup." "Random?" "Eeyup." Ray sighed. He hoped the last one wasn't another eeyup. "Promiscuous?" No response. Ray looked at the stallion and realized it was Big Mac. "Unbridled?" He said trying not to look or sound nervous. "Eeyup." Ray blinked then got up. "Thankyouhave.haveaniceday." He blurted out as he made a v-line for the door. Only to have said pink pony in his face again. "HI! I'M PINKIE!" She chimed. "What's yours? Did you enjoy the party? Why are you leaving so soon?" Ray grabbed a nearby cupcake and shoved it in her mouth. "I'm... worn out. That's all." She nodded in understanding as he walked out. Ponyville park Ray sighed and plopped down next to the lake. After a few moments he curled into a ball and started to cry himself to sleep. Author's Note To those reading. I hope that you can look past spelling and see the story. If spelling is what's going to kill a story for you then why are you still reading? Auto correct takes care of most of them and even it is wrong some of the times. I know my spelling is bad but I try to get close so people can still understand what I am trying to say. She had a smile on her face as she saw no nightmare marks on any of the doors. And the few stains she quickly wiped away with a flick of her magic. She knew each door and who it belonged to. So she knew how to keep each one happy and clean. Or so she thought. Stopping, she saw a sight she rarely saw. Scratch that. She doubts she ever saw something like this. The door was covered in scratches that oozed a black liquid she knew came from nightmares. Not only that but as soon as she blinked at it the door appeared clean and even looked as if it had a new paint job. With another blink the scratches and liquid returned. "This is bad." She sighed. "We... I must correct this before it's..." she stopped as her magic reached out. Opening her eyes the princess found herself backstage looking out to a two legged...cat like thing... on stage singing. She had to admit. He had a great voice and a beautiful smile. However there was something wrong with this picture. She looked out to the crowd and saw duplicates of the same 5? 6 faces. Blinking, she looked back at the singer and listened. "I remember everything..." A tear came to her eyes as he sang. "Beneath the stains of time..." As she watched she noticed the cat wasn't alone. Sitting behind him facing the opposite direction was a stallion. Why and how didn't matter. She had to help... them. It sounded weird in her head. But something told her the cat and stallion were two sides of the same coin. Her horn lit to dispel the dream. However nothing happened. Shock and confusion crossed her face for a moment before understanding took its place. "I am sorry my little pony." She whispered. "I was unable to help you here. But I will not give up on you." With that she backed out of the dream as he began to wake. Canterlot Castle The princess of the night flung open the doors to the dining hall causing her sister to blink in shock. "Luna, is something wrong de..." She was cut off by the younger sister slamming a door. "Our subject needs us." Luna spat. "Apologies sister. But there is no time." The elder lit her horn and picked up her sister before calmly setting her at the table and surviving her breakfast. "Tell me so WE may help OUR subjects." Luna took a deep breath and told her sister everything she saw and heard. From the changing door to the ooze. How the song was to a crowd of a few to the sorrow in his words. How there was two singers yet one voice. And what truly scared her. "Sister... my powers failed me. I was unable to do anything to the dream. Just watch." The elder looked in shock and fear before standing. "Do you know where he is?" "Ponyville. But why?" "Were you able to determine the problem?" "Sister. What are you planning?" "I hope it's not to intervene." A calm voice said as a white stallion wearing a tuxedo walked in. "I do hope I didn't walk in before she mentioned the Gala." He laughed. "That would be a disaster." "Celestia!" Luna snapped. "Was that your plan? Get him to the Gala and do what?" "Play matchmaker, put him on stage... oh. My favorite was that ooze fellow..." the stallion taped his chin in thought. "Or was that last one Discord?..." "SILENCE!" Luna snapped. "WHO ARE YOU AND..." her eyes widened at the flat look the stallion had as he stood unfazed by the Royal Canterlot voice. "What are you?" She asked as her sister looked at the stallion. "Just... what's the word... oh right somepony who would rather you NOT get involved... yet." He replied trotting over to have a seat. "Why don't we have a seat? A guest will be here soon and I want to see what letter is sent next." The two sisters blinked and sat as the stallion clapped his hooves calling one of the servants to bring him food. Soon after the food was delivered the stallion glanced at the two alicorns with a smile. "You know. If things work out this time. You might..." He stopped and shook his head. "Sorry. I forgot... sorry. Let's just enjoy the show.... what do you think Dissy?" At hearing that name both sisters scanned the room. "Oh I agree." Called a voice as Discord faded into view. "Though I wonder. Who'll be the one to seal the deal?" The two shared a laugh as Luna turned to her sister. "Great. Now there's two of them." Luna sighed. "Please Lolo. We're far different from each other." Discord said with a huff. "He has a point. I graduated from chocolate rain a long time ago." The stallion agreed with a nod. Discord huffed at the stallion as the princesses looked in slight confusion. "Anyway..." the stallion said between bites. "That letter should be here any moment." As if on que a small flame drifted into the room causing everypony to smile. However, as soon as Luna saw the grin on the stallion's face she watched in fear as the flame swirled in on itself before revealing a scroll. Before her sister was able to take it in her magic, Luna snatched the scroll and looked it over. "It is as I thought. It was no mere nightmare." Luna sighed as she passed her sisters the scroll. "And you.... stallion. You still wish us not stay out of this?" The stallion sipped his tea as his smile grew. "For now. They still have time." Ponyville Park A shadowy figure walked through the park looking for its target. "Where are you?" It hissed. Ever since the sun started to set they looked around town. And now the figure was annoyed. After a few moments their prey was in sight. "Ray." Author's Note Ok so this one was more of a teaser. But I kinda wanted a setup for this part. Also. The original plan for the stallion is a bit different. I tried to keep the sister's reaction to the stallion close to how they were in the show. Celestia being the more relaxed yet focused. Where there was grass and a lake was now what looked like a pet shelter vomited on a living room. The second thing was what he was laying on. Blinking, he slowly looked down to see a large brown bear. Gulping, he looked around once more. As he went to move however the bear wrapped its arm around him pulling him close. To Ray's shock the large animal started to suck on his ear. "Oh my." A suave voice commented on the sight as a strange creature drifted in holding a plate of pancakes. "He doesn't normally do that with ponies he just met. Oh how rude of me." The creature paused and set the food on the table before bowing as he crossed his lion paw across his chest. "I am the lord of chaos. Discord." Ray opened his mouth to speak as Discord put an eagle talon against his lip. "Yes, I brought you here. Yes, I know Fluttershy. Yes, this is her home. Yes, she knows you're here. And no, she didn't send me to get you." With a cheeky smile he added. "Does that answer your questions?" Ray sighed and carefully pulled himself from the bear's grip before sitting at the table. "Got any rum?" Discord thought for a moment before snapping his fingers, summoning a mug next to the salad. "Thanks." Ray sighed. "If it's not too much of a problem. Don't tell anyone about this." "Why?" Ray took a swig before letting out a sigh. "I... I don't know. I just..." Sighing he saw Discord sit next to him with a slightly concerned look on his face. "I came here looking for some peace from the crowds and spotlight... but now..." "You're worried that the spotlight followed you." Discord finished with a sigh. "I'm not going to apologize for bringing you here." Hearing his confession Ray looked at Discord in shock and realization. "But consider this. Would you rather a place that your popularity is a bonus or where it rules you?" As Ray considered the question, Discord continued. "If you want. I may be able to whip something up. So you can do what you love. Or I can set you up with one of my..." "No." Ray interrupted seeing where he was going. "Thanks but I think I'll stay single..." He finished giving the doubtful creature a hopefully convincing smile. "And if you don't mind waiting a few... weeks. I might take you up on the other offer. I just need some time to... adjust." "Really? Would it help if I got you a place of your own? Away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Not to say there's much hustle in Ponyville." Discord asked, muttering the last part. "Maybe?" Ray replied lamely as he looked to the door. "I just feel like... I'm just.." "A one trick pony?" Discord questioned, causing Ray to look at him with a nod. After a moment Discord laughed. "Don't be ridiculous. I've seen what you can do. And trust me. Not a single creature will think..." just then a sly smirk crossed his face. "You know what? I might have an idea on where you can stay." "Really?" "Remote... easy for YOU to get to... spacious... ya. That would be a good fit." Discord concluded with a nod. "Where? And more importantly why are you helping me so much?" "I just want to help a friend in need. As for where it is. How about I just send you and the girls can come find you?" "Say what now?" Ray protested. Before another word was said Discord snapped his talons, sending Ray with his food and drink to wherever the creature had planned, moments before Fluttershy trotted in. "Hello Fluttershy. Did your shopping trip go well?" "Yes Discord." She replied with a smile that quickly faded when she saw Ray was missing. "Discord? Where's Ray?" "Ray?" Discord asked in mock confusion. "I don't know. He was here a moment ago." He said looking around from his seat. "Discord please. Where is he?" She asked, clearly not buying his act. "Come now dear. I have to build the suspense somehow." He laughed. "Besides were only seven hundred twenty four words into the chapter... make that thirty two." "What?..." Shaking her head, Fluttershy turned to the door. "Never mind. I'll get the girls hopefully when I get back you'll be ready to explain yourself." With that she flew off leaving Discord alone in the hut. "While she's gone. I guess I can have a bit of fun." He chuckled as an auctioneer outfit appeared on him. "Ok readers who want to take bets on where I sent him? Come on. There's no wrong guesses. Well... other than Manehattan. That's just cruel. Come on now. Let's see what folks think the answer is. Hurry now before..." Twilight's Castle Twilight groaned as she looked around at the map room. Letting out a sigh at the mess that was covering half of it, and the piles Spike made from the other half. "Tell me Spike. What happened?" "You mean other than getting drunk off one mug and asking Big Mac out?" Spike asked nonchalantly as he sniffed a damp cloth before tossing it in the trash with a gag. "Not much..." "I... did... what?" "Yup. Right in front of Applejack... the girls laughed a bit at your attempt." "Oh Celestia." "Ya.... you have a date with him tomorrow." At this Twilight jumped to her hooves and immediately regretted it as she rubbed her forehead. "When?... ouch.... please tell me you're joking." "Well... you did call him a sexy pegasus." Spike said as Twilight blushed. "And he had a hot slender bod..." Twilight gulped as her eyes widened. "And you mentioned his soft voi-" "Spike! I think when I asked Big Mac out it was meant for..." BrokenView OnlineThe Element of SongBrokenRay groaned as he sat up. Rubbing his head he slowly looked around. The first thing he noticed was the dark cold stone walls that had sections missing. That wasn't as odd to him as the lone mirror was. Getting up he slowly made his way over to it. "A bit cracked. But it looks good…" He let out a loud gasp before looking at his reflection. "My earring!" Quickly he spun around and scanned the ground. Though most of the time, he didn't really say much about it. It was still a special gift. And one he felt naked without. Soon his eyes caught a glimpse of its shine at the edge of what he feared were steps. "Oh…" He watched helplessly as they fell out of sight. "Crap." Rushing over he followed them down the best he could, only stopping when he saw where they landed. There, in the middle of the room sat… something big and black. And there on its horn was his earring. Biting his lips, Ray slowly inched closer. After a few moments however, he stopped. Looking over the creature again, he noticed it was likely starving and… sad? Stepping back, Ray rubbed his ear. He did want the earring… but maybe. Taking a deep breath he timed his wing beat with the wind. Once he was in position he started to angle his feathers to the wind. As he hoped music started to play. After a few more moments and flaps, he moved into the shadows to hide as the creature turned to face him. As music filled the room the creature's ear twitched at his words. "I want to hold you high and steal your pain…" It clenched its teeth and fought the urge to join. However, the truth and desire, it felt forced its way out. "I want to hold you high and steal my pain…" The two saying together, filling the rundown place they were in with their words and heart. As the music came to an end, the creature whipped a tear from her eye. It looked in shock at its hoof before shouting. "Come out and face me, coward!" After a moment, Ray slowly stepped from the shadows. "Who was it?" He asked. "What?" "I know that look. Who did you lose?" It turned away. "It's none of your business…" it then blinked in realization and turned back to him. "And why aren't you running in fear? Don't you know who I am?" "A sad, lonely creature." He said, receiving a glare. "Why? Who are you?" "I am Queen Chrysalis!" She hissed. "Queen of the changelings…" She let out a sigh as she slumped. "Or at least I was… till my subjects betrayed me." "Do you want to talk about it?" She sighed. "In short. They decided to follow a trader rather than follow me." "That's sad… I'm guessing by your appearance that it somehow decreased your source of food." "You clearly don't know what danger you face." She groaned. "But yes. If you must know. We changelings feed on emotions… at least that is how nature made us." "And I take it they chose a path that went against that?" "Yes." After a moment Ray smiled. "You know… nothing has more emotion in it than music. If it helps. I can give you a concert and you can feed off that." She glared at him for a moment. "You do realize. Once I get my strength back. I'll just suck you dry." "Then what?" She paused for a moment. "So what? Are you going to just keep me here?" "No." "Will you tell anypony where I am?" "Not if you don't want me to." She thought for a moment… "Fine." She huffed. "Not like I'll have anywhere to go." With a nod Ray started another song. And within moments, Chrysalis started to feed just as he said she could. Back in Ponyville The girls started looking for Ray as Rainbow was preoccupied with her thoughts. She still found it hard to believe she had… done that. True ponies thought she was into mares. Heck she even tried dating Applejack for a time. But it never went farther than dinner. Not that living with Applejack was helping her imagine. What can she do though? She had two jobs. And Tank needed somepony she could trust to look after him. Dating was not an option. "Even if he has a cute flank." She muttered. Blinking, she stopped in mid-flight and quickly looked around. "Did… I just say…" "Yupers!" A familiar voice called from below. "Oh no…" Rainbow groaned. "Pinkie…" Meanwhile Twilight and Fluttershy were at her place grilling Discord for where he sent Ray. "Come on. At least give us a hint." Twilight asked. "Fine… it's in Equestria." "You know what she means." Fluttershy sighed. "Yes. But you know I can't resist messing with her. That and I promised." All eyes turned to him in shock as the three shouted in unison. "CHRYSALIS IS BACK!" At that moment Chrysalis sneezed before letting out a huff. "Maybe I should do some dusting." Back in the unknown building Rainbow and Ray looked at a hall of obvious traps. "It's going to take us hours to find a safe route through this." Rainbow sighed. Ray let out a sigh as he looked at a note on the wall. "Or we can swallow our pride and dance." "Really?" Rainbow replied, looking at him in disbelief. "How is dancing going to help?" Taking a deep breath she stepped through the door, focusing on the energy so she would arrive closer to the source. Moment passed before she stepped out into a large room with a single occupant. A large birdcage with several golden locks on it and two open on the ground. Taking a deep breath she approached the cage, lighting her horn. "I am Princess Luna. Ruler of the night and protector of dreams. Who are you?" The figure tilted its head. "Do you think this is a dream?" "I am no fool. I know this isn't a dream. But that doesn't mean I will allow you to torment this pony." She snapped. "Now tell me who you are!" "I was once known as Song Bird." It replied. "Sprite of sound, and master of my name sake." "And now?" It was silent for a moment. "I am forsaken. Left trapped within my host." It sighed. "If you get free. What will you do?" She demanded. It thought for a moment before looking to the sky. "Don't know. It would depend on what frees me." "Explain." "Tell me. If my host was to fall for one of the Elements of Harmony. What do you think would be the likelihood for heartbreak?" He asked. As realization crossed Luna's face, he started to laugh. Luna took an involuntary step back as the implications of his words hit her. Whatever she did, she knew she had to get word to Twilight about the threat. In a flash of light Luna was gone and the figure stopped laughing. "One more lock down." It commented. I know the law. And my special abilities will allow me to see a lie." Even though the girls were iffy about doing this. It might be the only chance they had. "You won't be allowed to stand for the defense alone." Twilight admitted. "Either me or Cadence will have to be there so ponies won't panic." Chrysalis nodded in agreement. "Then I will teach one of you a spell my mother taught me. In private." "What does the spell do?" Shining asked. "It's a mental lock. Keeps ponies or changelings from using their magic. It's a high level spell that can be altered to allow specific spells." Chrysalis explained. "Easily noticeable with a scanning spell. But near impossible without the proper teaching." "So… you'll teach us how to do it?" Twilight asked. "No… just you." "Why me?" Twilight asked in shock. "One word… Celestia." After a few moments of thought, Twilight nodded. "Ok… I see your point." Twilight put up a silencing spell to allow them privacy. However, she made it so they weren't heard, only seen. The two in the bubble talked for a bit as those watching kept an eye on the changeling. Much to their relief, Chrysalis only spoke to Twilight… surprisingly didn't even look at her in the process. The group saw that she was doing everything she could to avoid suspicion. And once the bubble was dropped Twilight simply turned away. "The two of us will go to the court house." Twilight announced. "The rest of you need to find a way to help Rainbow. Time is against us. So do whatever you can and keep us posted." The group nodded before rushing off to do their tasks. Canterlot A white stallion sat at a dining table across from Discord. "Well… I hope you're happy. You may have doomed the world." He sighed. "Oh please. You know as well as I do, that the readers eat up these kinds of conflicts." Discord laughed. "Then I take it HE'S here for the same reason?" "Call it… half time." Discord laughed. "Then again. It might just be the first inning." The stallion looked at the unseen reader. "Sad how predictable this is going to be." "And… who rescheduled it?" "The prosecutor." The mare squeaked. "About an hour ago." Taking a deep breath Twilight nodded. "Papers… please." To her relief, the mare set the paperwork and case file on the counter. "Thank you." The two signed the papers before sliding it back. "As a witness to us signing it?" The mare nodded and stamped the paper with her stamp. "Room 6." The mare squeaked. Without hesitation the two made their way to the room and entered to see… Luna glaring daggers at the prosecutor. Rushing up to her with Chrysalis, Twilight slapped the approval papers on her bench. "Defense wishes for a few minutes do go over the evidence." Twilight requested. After checking the papers, Luna glanced at Chrysalis in intrigue. "I see. However, that won't be necessary." She replied pointing to the file. "Everything that was reported is in there." "But it just has the victim's statement, arrest report and medical statement." Twilight countered. "With such little information, how can we guarantee that Ray did in fact do it?" "Isn't it obvious?" The prosecutor huffed. "The victim saw him do it." Twilight and Chrysalis shared a nod before the changeling looked at Luna. "Unless the law has changed in the past few years. I believe once we prove he didn't do one crime. Then the other will be put into question. And require more proof." Luna nodded in agreement. "And you think you can do this with what little of the evidence you have?" Chrysalis smiled with a nod. "Very well. I shall hold my verdict and pramit-" "Objection! We-" "DON'T INTERRUPT ME AGAIN OR YOU WILL BE THE ONE ON TRIAL!" Luna snapped in her Canterlot voice. "As I was saying. Defense may go over the evidence and show why they believe their client was framed." Twilight and Chrysalis moved to the defense stand and looked at the reports. Almost instantly Chrysalis lit up like it was Heart's Warming. "The defense wishes to call the guard that made the arrest to the stand." Luna nodded and motioned for him to step up. "That was convenient." Chrysalis muttered before clearing her throat. "Would you mind clearing a few matters up for me?" "Not at all." He replied. "And don't lie. I'll know." She hissed. "Objection! She plans on using changeling magic on the guard." "She taught me the spell to inhibit anything but…" Twilight gasped at seeing Chrysalis start to go limp. "Not now." "What's the matter?" Luna asked in concern. "By inhibiting her ability to use her magic, Chrysalis can't take in love energy… she's starving." Twilight explained. Luna scanned the spell quickly before nodding. "Then the court orders you to alter the spell to pramit her to draw what energy she can." Chrysalis whispered to Twilight, before the mare looked at Ray who nodded. Chrysalis nodded and looked back at the papers. "You arrested him at one in the afternoon. Correct?" She asked. After getting the nod she added. "And the crime was at noon?" Another nod. "Were there any problems with the arrest?" "None at all. He gave up without a fight." The guard replied. "So… please explain the hour." "Isn't it obvious? They had to go get him. He sighed and pulled out a glass box. Inside was a black cloth that looked like it was ripped from something. "Ray would never wear something like that!" A voice called from the door. All eyes turned to see a golden coated mare with a wite main. Twilight turned to ask Ray something but froze at the look of disbelief on his face. "Please take the stand and explain." Luna instructed. The mare did as she was instructed after giving her a bow. "I just got into town. But a weird white stallion told me to come here." She looked over at the prosecutor. "Please don't tell me it smells like week old milk." After seeing the look of regret she sighed. "I know what the smell is. My dad loved it." Shaking her head she looked at the princess. "Ray would never put something that bad on. He likes to be around others too much. Pluss… that fabric would have been a nightmare to travel in for such a long time. He'd have a rug burn from it. Or even-" "Broke his legs?" Chrysalis guessed. The mare nodded with a shiver. "I was forced to wear it for a show once. Ended up in the hospital because of a fall." At that all eyes shot open. "What?" "According to the report… The victim fell and broke his legs." The guard explained. And there was a pegasus that passed the…" He spun to one of the other guards. "You! Go make sure the alleged victim is still at the hospital. NOW!" He ordered. Without even a salute, the other guard fled the courthouse. "I think we all can agree that doubt has been placed on these charges." Luna explained with a smirk to the prosecutor. "Wait… what charges?" The mare asked terrified at what she was hearing. "Ray is being charged with attacking two ponies." Luna explained. "One guard, and one of the Elements of Harmony." The mare's fearful expression turned to a mild annoyance. "Ok… now I know he's being framed. Ray isn't that stupid. What reason would he have to attack either of them?" "That's a good question." The prosecutor admitted. "Most likely he was in a blind rage and" "And you add more holes in your case." Chrysalis countered. "She has a point. The only way your claims would have any chance of working is if you drop one of the charges. But even that won't help." "And why is that?" He asked. "Because of what we already know." Twilight pointed out. "The arrest. It's an hour from the second crime to his location. But if you drop that one. Then why is there an hour missing? Not to mention the attack itself. Why did it happen and how did he do it?" She shook her head. "Your claims just keep breaking apart the more you try to justify them." Chrysalis nodded. "That's likely why you wanted it done quickly. So the lack of evidence wouldn't be a problem. Too bad Ponyville thinks otherwise." A few moments later the door opened revealing the guard from earlier. "We put guards around the premises. He won't be leaving the hospital." He announced. "Also. We found this among his belongings." He said holding out a shirt with a part ripped off. "It stinks like week old milk." At that Luna slammed her gavel. "With the evidence I've seen. I can see no evidence that Ray attacked the guard. And less to his attacking mis Dash. Which leaves me to make my FINAL verdict… Not guilty." She then dropped the gavel and stormed off. "Now get out and tell me when you have some real proof" With a cheer of joy the three mares hugged Ray. "We have a lot to talk about." The mare teased. Or he…" She stopped and gasped. Gulping, she asks. "Oh no…" She sat down as she started panting. "What is it?" Twilight asked in concern. "It happened again." "What happened to Ray." Twilight asked as she became scared for his safety. "It's difficult to talk about…" She bit her lip as Twilight put up a silencing spell around them. One explanation later. "And with what I just saw." The mare sighed. "We can only hope Rainbow recovers soon." In the dream scape Luna walked to where the cage was and gasped at seeing a glass box with Ray sitting inside. A quick blast of magic later she sat next to him. "Mind telling me what happened?" She asked. "How is she?" "Hard to say. But it seems you two care for each other quite a bit." Luna giggled. "I thought so too… till I did what I did." "And that is?" Back-flash Ray took off in tears to a nearby town. He hadn't considered doing what he did now for many years. As he landed he slipped a discarded cloak on and walked to a shop. After buying and putting on fur paint he discarded the clothes and walked into a club where he sat at a booth with a mug of cider before being joined by a stallion and mare joined him. Several drinks were shared before the three stumbled into a private room as the three made out. As soon as the door shut… In the dream scape "Let's just say she can do better." Ray sighed. Please get us a place with privacy and away from where kids will be playing. Applejack… Can you see if your brother knows any stallions that need some special help?" While Pinkie gave an eager nod before diving into a bush, Applejack looked at her suspiciously. "Twi? What's this about? Don't tell me y'all in heat already. However the news she received nearly made her wish she was still sleeping. Her body was wrapped from head to tail, hardly leaving room for her to do more than to cry. 8weeks earlier Ray sat at a lake as ponies went about their business. Not much had happened after his little adventure in the shed. Last he heard, Soren had become a rather popular slut. Spike however seemed to prefer his company more than the Wonerhole. Speaking of the drake… "Hay Ray!" Spike called running up to him. "You wouldn't believe what ponies were passing out in town… is something wrong?" He asked, hearing Ray sigh. "I'm just worried about Dash. I know she'll be fine… at least that's what the doctors said… but what if… next time…" Ray groaned, rubbing his head. Seeing his friend was in pain, Spike quickly pulled him into a hug. "It'll be fine. Everypony thought I'd become a monster if I gave into my greed again. But look at me now." He reassured as he pulled away to stand in front of Ray. It was true that the drake changed. Before he barely stood at eye level with a pony's flank. And now he was at least a head taller than that one white stallion… What was his name? Buck?... Buff?... it had something to do with his muscles. And speaking of muscles. What's going on?" "I wish I knew." Celestia admitted. "Sadly the only ones that know the truth either won't speak, or are not here to tell us." She added with a sideways glance at her sister. "It is his choice in the end, sister. And you know it." Luna countered. "We are not his keepers." "But… but…" Twilight stammered. "Fear not child." Luna explained. "We have taken measures to ensure that he will be well taken care of." Even though the girls seemed calmed by this news, StarBell only grew more concerned. 6weeks before the news News quickly spread of a masked singer taking headlines across Mainhattan. However, no matter who the girls asked, nopony seemed to know who it was. And all they were able to talk about was wanting to see the next show. Each of the girls became concerned about what happened to Ray and how Rainbow would take the news that a friend had left her like this. 5weeks till breakdown News about Rainbow waking up spurred the girls into desperation to find the truth about what happened to Ray. However it seemed the more time passed, the more distant StarBell became. With each bit of passing news, Twilight became more and more dedicated to her search. 4weeks till the fallout Much to Twilight's glee, Spike had been hard at work with her. She knew they had been close. And with his new connections with the Wonderbolts. She hoped they would find out what had happened. Sadly it seemed even Discord had decided to stay silent about the news. Something that worried her greatly. 3weeks before the tears Chrysalis had been moved to the Crystal Empire to help look after FlurryHeart by Twilight's request. The spell keeping her from openly draining ponies was altered so she was only able to take in enough to keep herself fed. However that didn't stop her or the changeling from their concerns. 2weeks before the drama Finally, a hint about what happened. A news article mentioned a stallion matching Ray's description was seen at a club in the hippogriff kingdom. Twilight couldn't help but to chuckle at knowing what he was doing there. However at the same time. She felt sorry for him as the article mentioned his beaten expression. Now more than ever she had to get him back. Get him home. 1week ago As Twilight and her friends sat in the map room and searched every newspaper in Equestria. A white stallion made his way over. "You girls should really consider locking the door. Anypony can slip in or out whenever they wish." He laughed. The girls looked over in shock at the newcomer. "Who are you and what do you want?" Spike snapped. "Just seeing how things are going." He replied with a shrug. "My name isn't important. Though I wonder… What's a sixth mare with you?" "Rainbow is in the hospital." Twilight huffed as she turned back to the papers. "Right… wrong timeline." He muttered. Somehow making a snapping sound with his hoof he asked. "Then how about that other mare? What was her name?... Star Ginggl?... Twinkle Bell?..." "StarBell?" Pinkie chimed as the girls looked around in shock. "That's the one. I hope you hear from her soon." He replied, turning to leave. "She seemed like such a nice mare." Before anyone was able to stop him, he was gone. Outside the hospital after the news Twilight and her friends sat at a bench with their heads hung. They had just told Rainbow the worst possible thing. And none of them had any ideas on what to do. Worst of all. Pinkie didn't seem to know how to cheer Dash up. Instead she just sat there vibrating and twitching like she was… The girls looked at their pink friend who was as shocked as they were. Fear and excitement slowly crossed their faces. Nothing like this happened since Twilight learned about… "Can it be?" Applejack asked shakingly. "Oh… I truly can go for a bit of good news." Rarity agreed. "Oh my… it looks like a big one." Fluttershy squeaked. "Please be something helpful." Twilight pleaded. "Anything." Before they got any more information, Pinkie suddenly sat still as stone as a look of shock and fear crossed her face. Whatever the twitch was about, had already happened or had just started. "And what of the less enthusiastic individuals?" "They have a… close bond with him." She sighed. "Sounds complicated." Chrysalis huffed. "I say we go with the protective one." Shining nodded in agreement. "If we're able to get her to stay and help the girls. It may buy us time to find him…" Seeing the look on everyone's face he sighed. "You know where he is. Don't you?" "Yes. And I believe that StarBell has an idea on how we'll prove to the girls about the truth. And hopefully get him back." Luna replied. Seeing StarBell nod, Discord smiled. "How do you feel mis Dash?" The nurse asked softly. "Anything on your mind?" Rainbow looked around before flatly replying. "Weather team missed some clouds." She sighed. "That's right." The nurse gasped, looking up at the clouds. "Don't you think it'd be a good idea to fly up and take care of it or tell the team?" Rainbow shrugged. "It's fine. I'm sure somepony will take care of it." The nurse sighed and sat next to her. "Well… we'll go back in soon." Spike followed a lead he got from Soren and took a trip to Los Pegasus. Upon arrival, he quickly made his way to his contact. "Spike?" A voice called. Turning, Spike smiled at seeing Soren. Running over, he gave the stallion a hug. "Long time no see. I got your letter. So where is he?" "About that." Soren gulped. "It's a bit more complicated than what the letter said." Spike gulped and followed him as Soren led him down the street. "What's the problem?" "Well… it's complicated." Soren replied as they arrived at a large, fancy adult building. And as StarBell gave the large lady a hug, he felt a bit jealous at seeing her head vanish into her cleavage. Pulling away Big Momma looked her over and groped StarBell's breast. "Look at how big you're getting. I bet the boys are knocking at your door all the time." She teased. "Momma. Please. This is important." StarBell sighed. "It's about Ray." These are my-" Applejack started before the mare put her hoof against her mouth. "It's a pleasure to meet you all. But if you don't mind. I'd like to see the mare that stole my baby's heart." Momma said softly. The girls looked to StarBell for an explanation. Shrugging, she smiled. "Big Momma is like a sergeant mother for me and Ray. It's best not to get in her way when it comes to Ray." "Is it because she's so big?" Pinkie chimed much to the horror of her friends. Much to their surprise Momma laughed. "Oh. I like this one." She said, pulling Pinkie into a hug. "Now where is she?" Twilight led her into the hospital and to the front desk. "We have somepony that will be able to help Rainbow." She told the nurse. After looking between the two, the nurse sighed. "Let's hope you can help her. Right this way." She announced, leading Momma out to the garden where Rainbow sat at a table with several things on the table. Big Momma made her way over and looked at the table, seeing a Daring Doo book, a sandwich, some juice and a board game. "This looks like an interesting book." Momma said with a smile. Without looking, Rainbow pushed the book toward her. "Do you mind if I have a seat?" She asked. After receiving a shrug she sat and opened the book. Looking over a few lines she smiled. "Ray would love this." No response. "I heard a rumor that Ray has a crush on somepony." She said looking at the book. After a moment of silence she went on. "Too bad really. She probably doesn't feel the same." Rainbow blinked at this and without turning her head, glared at her. Turning the page Momma continued. "Probably for the best. A strong mare-" "Who said I'm not strong?" Rainbow snapped as she turned to fully face the mare who wasn't even fazed. "Even if you admit how you feel. It'll take more than words to convince me." "I love Ray. OK? There I said it. And guess where he was when I woke up. GONE! HE LEFT ME!" Rainbow started to burst into tears as she went on. "The stallion I fell in love with abandoned me. ME THE ELEMENT OF LOYALTY!... How do you think I feel?" Momma closed the book taking a deep breath. "And why did he leave?" "What?" Rainbow asked in shock. "Why did he leave? What happened that might cause him to, as you put it, abandon you?" Momma asked. Rainbow sat with a sigh. "I was attacked. But I don't see how that matters. Or why you care… Who are you anyway?" "Call me Big Momma. All my little angels do." Rainbow looked her over and snickered. "I know. Ironic, but everyone says it's a fitting name. Anyway, I don't know what happened here. But a few years ago he lost someone close to him. And likely fears that he'll lose you too." Rainbow thought about it for a moment before looking away. "Probably already moved on." She huffed. Taking a deep breath Momma got up and walked over to the nurse. "Please ask if anypony has some rope, a dress and a blindfold I can use on Rainbow… oh and see if there's a newspaper I can read about concerts." The nurse opened her mouth to question her. After seeing her glare nodded and passed her the paper before rushing off. Momma returned to Rainbow and after scanning it for a bit smiled and scooped her up with one hoof and tossed the pegasus onto her back. "Ok. No more moping. Time for Momma to do her thing." "What the hay!" Rainbow shouted in shock. As they got back to the waiting room they saw the nurse and a white mare. "Applejack said you can use her rope. And Rarity said she had a dress for Rainbow Dash." The nurse explained. "Got something for the club?" Momma asked. After a moment of thought the two shared a smile as Rainbow flails on mommy's back in defiance. "Leave it to me." Rarity confirmed before levitating Rainbow into the bathroom with the rope and a box. Several minutes later Rarity came out with Rainbow in a rather scandalous dress and a blindfold. Her wings were tucked under the dress and the rope was wrapped around her neck. "Splendid." Momma announced as they went out the door. "Discord honey. Would you mind taking us to the stadium in Los Pegasus?" With a nod and snap the three vanished. In a private room in Las Pegasus "Ray!" Spike cheered, giving the stallion a hug. "Where have you been? What happened?" "That doesn't matter." Ray countered. "Just as long as you and the others are fine." "Dash isn't." "What?" Ray gasped. "She hardly does anything. Not even eat after hearing that you were gone." Spike explained. Hearing this Ray hit his head on the wall. "Great." He muttered. "Looks like I still hurt others no matter what I do." "Maybe if you come back-" "No… the damage is done." Ray sighed. "I already hurt her enough. It's best that she moves on." "But you-" Spike started before the sound of someone clearing their throat caused them to turn and look at the source. "Sorry to interrupt your reunion. But we have to get to work." A rather chubby stallion said. Sighing, Ray walked out with the stallion after apologizing to his friends. Before leaving, the stallion passed them tickets. In a flash Big Momma, Discord and Rainbow appeared in front of a large stadium. Looking around Discord smiled. "Oh look. Spike and Soren are here." He announced, causing Rainbow to turn to him with an open mouth. Discord waved them over. "Hay Discord…" Spike called. After seeing the large mare he looked at Rainbow. "Do I want to know?" "I'm helping her get better. Do you know a way we can get into the show?" Momma asked. "We have these VIP tickets." Soren said as Spike held up the tickets. "We'll take it." Momma said, holding out her hoof. Spike thought for a moment before smiling. "How about I give them to the guy at the gate for you so you can take care of Rainbow." Big Momma patted Spike on his shoulder. "Lead the way sweetheart." After a quick explanation to the stallion at the gate, Momma and Rainbow made their way to the show. "Looks like we have time." "Can I take this thing off?" "Not yet sweetie. You need to listen before you look." Momma replied. "Hello sweetheart." A stallion said as he came over. "I wasn't expecting to find many interesting things in this place. But I'm glad to be wrong." "Pardon?" The stallion engorged Momma and went up behind Rainbow and was about to lick Rainbow before letting out an eap as Momma sat on him. "Oh look. The show is about to start." As the music started, Rainbow sighed and wanted to focus on anything but whatever the show was. But as the music started, her attention was drawn to the singer and his words. I mean… I thought I was getting over him… but the very moment you brought him up…" She sighed. "I… I guess I really do love him." She sighed. "Then what do you say we go backstage after the show and you can tell him?" She suggested. Rainbow was about to reply before her ear twitched. I should be in heat about now." Rainbow hissed. "And what's wrong with that? Aren't you in love with Ray?" "Momma. I said I SHOULD be in heat." Momma's eyes widened. "Oh… well we better hurry and get him before it's too late." The two pushed their way through the crowd and made their way to the door backstage where a stallion stood guard. "Hold it. Sorry ladies. But I'm not permitted to allow mares with Rainbow manes pass." "And I'm sorry too." Momma replied as she turned sideways with a sigh for a moment before glaring at him. "But no one stands between Momma and her babies." She snarled. Before he was able to react, she slammed her flank into him and smashed him against the wall. As she pulled away he stumbled for a moment. "What a woman." He groaned before passing out. As Rainbow looked in amazement, Momma looked back at her. "Come now hun. Your stallion awaits." With an eager nod, Rainbow followed her down the hall. It didn't take long for them to find his room. Smiling, Rainbow saw a nurse who was exiting a nearby room and quickly stopped her. "Nurse. This is an emergency. My heat is late." "Have you had a suppressor spell put on you in the past four or five months?" She asked. "Four. But it was a minor one." The nurse thought for a moment. "When was the last time you had a good rut?" "Over two months ago." The nurse smiled and shook her head. "Then don't worry. You're not late for your heat cycle. It's just not as noticeable. A common reaction to a suppression spell. I recommend either switching to a chastity spell or finding a infertile stallion to rut you." "And what would you suggest if she wanted a fertile stallion to rut her and not have kids?" Momma asked. The nurse shrugged. "There's always the old-fashioned method. Put on protection." Rainbow groaned and started for the masked stallion's room. After Rainbow knocked on the door it opened revealing. "Vinyl?" "Hay. What's up? Come to see Rome?" Vinyl asked. "Yes." Momma replied as she joined Rainbow. "Can you tell him Big Momma wants to say hi?" She nodded and closed the door. After a few moments it opened again revealing Romeo. "Hi Momma." He said happily before giving her a hug. As he pulled away he looked in shock to see Rainbow. "Why is she here?" Rainbow gulped. "Ray… we need to talk." "Later." He sighed. "I need to destress before my next show." He sighed before going into the room and flopping back on the bed. "Maybe we can talk some other time." Rainbow jumped onto the bed and pressed her already wet pussy against his sheath. "No. We talk now or… or I'll let the next stallion I meet have this!" She snapped. Rome took a deep breath and nodded to Vinyl who ushered Momma in before locking the door. "Ok. You win. We'll talk." One long recap later Rainbow sat and thought about what he said. After a few moments she smiled and asked. "So. Do you have anything you want to ask?" "Yeah. But I get the feeling, I know what you'd say." Ray laughed. "Then how about I ask Dash something?" Vinyl asked with a smirk. "What?" "Would you be cool with sharing him?" She asked with a smirk. Rainbow thought for a moment before smiling at Ray before turning back to Vinyl. "Just as long as you know who's the top mare. And I got his first kid." The two nod to each other and smile at the smirking stallion. Big Momma sighed and stepped out and bumped into a familiar smelling old stallion. "You and I have a lot to get caught up on. And to talk about… MANAGER." Here we go againView OnlineThe Element of SongHere we go againSeveral hours and positions later, Rainbow groaned as she basked in the afterglow of her reunion with her stallion. Taking a deep breath she calmly rubbed her belly for a moment before crawling out of the bed and wobbled out the door. Making her way out the door she wobbled down the hall. As she went one way her ears were fixed in the other direction. Rather he knew it or not, or rather she'd admit it or not. She really enjoyed hearing him sing. A part of her even considered talking him into singing with Fluttershy. Maybe having a singing partner was just what her shy friend needed to help her to embrace her talents. A soft sigh escaped her moments before a new sound caught her attention. "Are you out of your planner-obsessed mind? He needs to be with the ones that make him happy!" Rainbow heard Momma snap. "You know what will happen if it happens again." The manager replied. "We got lucky this time. But what if one of them doesn't wake up? Or worse…" Rainbow gasped and pressed her back to the wall next to the door. Was it true? What in the name of Celestia was she hearing? Momma huffed. "He has friends that can help him. Plus, he has me and Juliet." "Who? Wait… does she mean?..." The manager huffed. "I promised his parents I wouldn't take such risks." "Then I'll take full responsibility for what happens. But I won't stand by knowing my boy is heartbroken." Momma announced. The manager was silent for a moment before smugly shooting back. "Had you not brought her over. He would have moved on." "You mean like when you transferred Juliet?" Momma quipped. Rainbow's eyes shot open wide. Did she hear what she thought she heard? Whatever the intention was, she was really starting to hate the manager. And THAT was saying something. She had heard enough. Rainbow was going to find her stallion and take him home. With that in mind she started down the hall, missing one important comment. Once she got to the stage she smiled at the masked pony as he made his way over to her. She gave him a quick kiss once he was off stage and whispered in his ear. "What do you say we ditch this place and go home?" He smiled and kissed her back before following her out the door and to the train station. She was a little unnerved that he kept his mask on. But considering they left the stadium. It didn't matter to her really. Ponies were going to find out sooner or later. Discord and Spike sat at a bench as they waited for their sluty friend to finish with a "customer". They watched the stadium for if and when Big Momma would come out with the lovebirds. "So…" Spike began. "What do you think the chances are that they'll be in there till tonight?" He laughed. "Fairley low." Discord replied pointing to Rainbow as she left with a stallion. "I think we should let them take the train and wait for Momma." Spike smiled and nodded. "Yeah. They can use the time alone." He laughed before turning to the public bathroom. "Plus we should wait for him to clean up." The two laughed as they ordered some snacks from a passing salesmare. In Ponyville Twilight and her friends started getting things together for when Momma and Rainbow would return with Ray. All except Pinkie who was glaring at the train station. "What's wrong?" StarBell asked, sitting next to her. "I got a bad twitch." Pinkie replied. "What does it mean?" Pinkie shook her head. "Don't know. I just know something's wrong." She sighed then smiled at StarBell. "Don't worry. The pony in the mirror said that everypony will be fine. We just have to get the party ready. " "Ready for what?" Pinkie giggled. "No spoilers!" She chimed winking to the readers. "The fun part is coming." StarBell looked at the others who just smiled and shrugged. "I have a bad feeling." She sighed, looking off to the train station. "I just hope things work out this time." Author's Note Something bad seems to be happening or at least is coming. Kinda unfair that Pinkie knows and not even I do at this moment. But hay. At least things seem to be moving smoothly. "I think a party will be perfect to get them together." Pinkie cheered. "Maybe we can have a party after we help them get back together." Twilight sighed. "First we need to figure out what to do about the imposter." Rarity looked over at the hallway with a sigh. "At least Fluttershy is able to keep him calm." Her friends looked over and nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I reckon she's the best out of us to talk to him." "She does know Rainbow better than any of us." Twilight agreed. "Then let's not waste any more time and figure out what we'll do with Rainbow." Rarity announced as they turned to face each other. "If you ask me. A new look and a show could do some good." At that the girls look at her in shock. "What? Was it something I said?" As Fluttershy left the room to get them some drinks, Ray paced back and forth in the guest room. "Fluttershy's right. Rainbow isn't that kind of mare." His eyes narrowed at the thought. "It's all that fake's fault." Sitting on a billow he rubbed his head. "I can't believe this is happening… no… I won't let someone I love be stolen again." He huffed. Just then Fluttershy came in with their drinks. "I hope you don't mind green tea. It's the only one Twilight has." She sighed softly before adding under her breath. "I told her this would happen." "It's fine Fluttershy. I was just thinking about what I should do." He replied as they moved to a table to have tea. "Oh?" "In fact… maybe you and the girls can help." Big Momma stomped over to Discord as StarBell and the guys cowered behind the draconequus. "Take us to Ray." Momma insisted. "But there's so many fun things we can do here. Why don't we-" Discord said before a hoof reached up and grabbed his horn, pulling it down so she was looking him in the eyes. "What was that?" Discord gulped and smiled nervously. "I'll drop you off right outside." Smiling, Momma released his horn. "Good." She laughed. "I knew ya were a gentleman." Discord nodded slowly as he whipped sweat from his forehead with his tail as he used his claw to snap the group to Ponyville. Outside the Castle of Friendship, a balloon inflated. After several moments it finally popped and revealed the group. "He's in the castle." Discord told the group. Momma turned and looked over the castle. "Not surprising that he'd have friends in high places." She laughed before approaching the door. "Don't worry. I won't hurt anyone… much." The guys looked at each other in confusion and concern as she turned and kicked the door down. The guys looked at each other before turning to StarBell who shrugged and followed Momma inside where Momma was already looking into the map room. "Oh… Big Momma, right?" Twilight called with a smile. "Who all is with you?" "StarBell and the boys." Momma replied with a smile. "Do ya know what is going on with my boy?" The girls look at each other for a moment before Applejack sighs and turns to her. "He… found out Rainbow was with an imposter." Momma and StarBell looked at each other before nodding. "And I take it you have a plan to reveal the truth?" StarBell asked. "We do… but there may be a complication." Rarity sighed. "Rainbow is the element of loyalty." Pinkie pointed out. To their surprise, the two mares smiled and replied in unison. "Then how about we go with our plan?" Rainbow sat and looked at the masked stallion as he sat, breathing slowly as he slept. It was odd, she felt great with him. She loved him and wanted nothing more than to be with him… and yet. Something in her was screaming. Was she… being… unloyal? Applejack had to admit, out of the list of plans her friends attempted in the past, this one at least had the added benefit of not needing to lie. In addition, they wouldn't fully have to worry about Rainbow asking too many questions. "And don't worry. Unless the fake wants to out himself. He'll go along with the plan." StarBell added with a soft smile. One which seemed to glow with venom more than happiness. "After all. The show is for her. And knowing Ray. He'd jump on the chance to shower the ones he loves with whatever kind of gift he can." "Not only that. But we'll be there to keep an eye on them." Momma added. "No worries. While we take shifts keeping an eye on them. The rest of you can focus on your parts." "We want in." Three energetic voices called out in unison. All eyes turned to the three young ponies. "Sweetie. What are you talking about?" Rarity asked softly. "We want to help keep an eye on Rainbow and the masked pony." Sweetie replied. "How long have y'all been listening?" Applejack asked flatly. "Long enough to know that some jerk is pretending to be Ray" Scootaloo snapped. "I want to help take him down." Under her breath Scootaloo added. "Or at least convince Ray to be with me." Momma's ear twitched as she leaned over to Twilight whispering. "What are the laws on couples?" As Twilight was about to reply, Momma hissed her. "We can talk later in private." Twilight slowly nodded before adding. "I don't think it's that big of a deal. In fact if you two are going to be staying in Equestria, even for a while. I think it would be a good idea to know some of the laws. And one that I noticed comes up quite a bit is relationships." All eyes turned to her as Twilight smiled softly. "I don't know how everypony's relationships are going. But it is common for couples to form into a single family. At least when it comes to small towns." Twilight thought for a moment as StarBell asked. "And for towns like Ponyville?" "It happens less often. The more common event of multiple couples is a herd. Though… if I'm going to be honest. Interspecies couples are more common." Twilight replied. "And what about age? Or if the two guys like the same two mares?" Momma asked. Twilight waved her hoof dismissively. "It's not recommended. But it's also not against the law." She replied. "In fact if the younger partner is interested in forming or joining in a relationship, there are several processes that would be available to aid for the young partner to prepare with." At those words, the Cutie Mark Crusaders blushed and each looked in different directions. Momma thought about what she said as a plan formed in her head. Smiling, she turned and made her way outside. "Discord sweetheart. Would you mind coming with me." She asked, grabbing his tail with her hoof. "I need your help with something. Fluttershy felt nervous as she laid in bed with Ray. It wasn't because she thought Discord would get upset, because she knew he'd understand that she was doing this to help Ray… right? She wondered to herself if being so close to her best friend's mate was such a good idea. She felt him shiver lightly and quietly pressed herself against his chest. Feeling him wrap pull her closer, she quickly covered her mouth to keep herself from squeaking in shock. "Ho my." She thought. It was hard for her to stay calm when she was close to another pony. And for some reason it was even harder. Maybe it was because he was being so gentle… maybe she felt close to him, in an emotional sense… her eyes widened as she felt him hold tighter, inadvertently pressing herself against a specific part of his body. Blushing, she clenched her eyes closed. This wasn't good. It was pressing against her. And she hadn't been touched there for so long. Fluttershy mentally cursed Discord for not rutting her like he knew she wanted. She didn't really know how many times she had hinted that she wanted it. Or how obvious she had made it. And now… here was a stallion that had the tool to itch her scratch. Biting her lip, she slowly moved her hip, she felt dirty for wanting this. For wanting her friend's mate to be in her. For wanting to be treated like… Fluttershy pulled away and jumped off the bed panting. "Oh my… what do I do?" She whimpered. "What's wrong?" Ray asked as he sat up. Sniffing the air, he blinked. "Oh… do… do you want me to get your mate?" " no…" She whimpered. "I know he won't do it." Ray thought for a moment before smiling. "Do you want me to help?" "But Rainbow…" "She knows about my side job." Ray shrugged. "Besides, I think she'd be more upset if I didn't help her BPF." Fluttershy smiled and looked away as her tail flicked up slightly at the idea. "Maybe… later? After we decide what to do about the imposter." Ray smiled and nodded. "And I think I have an idea." With that the two made their way out to find the others. Rainbow looked out the window and huffed. "Really? I thought we'd be there by now." "I know right?" "Pinkie!!!" Rainbow exclaimed as she jumped away from her friend. "What… who?" "I mean. You've been on this train for how many chapters?" Pinkie sighed. "You'd think the writer or readers would point it out. I mean, the party can't start without you." "What are you talking about?" "Hush." She shushed. "No spoilers." "But you-" "No spoilers." She repeated as she vanished back into whatever reality breaking hole she came from. "You know… sometimes I wonder about what her relation with Discord really is." Rainbow sighed before looking back out the window. Author's Note A lot to unpack with this one. But I think it would be more interesting to see what you think will happen before it all comes together.

Twilight asked as Fluttershy carefully sat on her throne. "Better." Ray replied, with a soft smile. "Great. Because I think we came up with some ideas on how to get Rainbow away from the fake." Rarity cheared. "That's nice." Fluttershy added. "What is your plan?" Ray asked. "A music contest!" Twilight proclaimed. "And to make it even COOLER. The contestants will be in disguises, so nopony will know who the real you is." Pinkie added as she fell into her chair. After a few moments of everypony looking from her to wherever she came from. "Anyway." Twilight sighed as the group turned back to the topic at hoof. "From what the princesses told me. You wore several different masks. So the only ponies that will know it's you, are the ponies that were with you." Ray thought for a moment and nodded. "Ok… on one condition." "Yes?" The girls asked in unison. "She sings with me." Ray replied, pointing at Fluttershy. As soon as she noticed he was pointing at her, Fluttershy gasped and ducked behind her chair. "Oh my… I don't know if I would be a good pick…" "Don't tell me you have stage fright again, darling." Rarity sighed. "No… I just…" "It's fine Fluttershy." Ray comforted. "We can give you a disguise. That way nopony will know it's you." Fluttershy thought for a moment before smiling at him. "I guess it might work." "Then if you two are going to be a team. Then you two probably should look like you're a couple." Rarity suggested. "Why?" Ray, Fluttershy and Twilight asked. "Well obviously so nopony gets suspicious." Rarity explained. "Can we join too?" Sweetie asked, trying to hide her eagerness. Ray looked over at Applejack and Rarity who sat in thought for a moment. "I reckon y'all are old enough to join in these types of contests." "You mean…" Apple Bloom asked excitedly. Rarity sighed and smiled. "Yes, dear. You can join in the plan." She paused and looked over at the others. "You don't think they'll… you know." Everypony thought for a moment before looking at Twilight. "Well… it is… a bit unusual." Twilight explained before teleporting her book on the subject to her. Looking through it she pondered. "There isn't a law against it… surprisingly." She confirmed as she closed the book. "So I don't see why not." The Crusaders smiled excitedly. Ray sighed and smiled as the girls agreed to prepare for the contest. Big Momma trotted down the street with Discord walking with her. "So? What do you need the LORD OF CHAOS for?" "Oh. Not much." She replied. "I just had an idea that would help those love birds." "Do you really think their plans won't work?" He asked. "Oh. It's not that. I just thought there's something we can do to help them with a little something." She chuckled. Discord looked at where they were going and grinned. "Oh… I think I see where you're going. Count me in." He laughed. Rainbow flew out the window and looked down the tracks before letting out a groan. "I can't believe this." She huffed. "Stupid construction. No wonder why it's taking so long for us to get home." The masked stallion nodded in agreement. As Rainbow flopped on one of the beds, the stallion pulled out an amulet and glanced at it for a second before holding it out to Rainbow. "Is that for me?" She asked. As he nodded, she smiled and lifted her chin for him to put it on. As their eyes met, her eyes flickered green. Blinking, she leaned in and kissed his lips. "I love you." She sighed softly. Momma's plan part two, casting callView OnlineThe Element of SongMomma's plan part two, casting callIt didn't take long for the girls to agree on who would do what. And with the approval of the older sisters, the Crusaders joined Ray and Fluttershy as they went to the Apple family farm to prepare in one of the many fields of trees. Ray sat and listened as Fluttershy and each of the Crusaders sang. After each pony was done singing, he gave them some advice. Meanwhile, Rarity returned to her shop to make the outfits for Ray and the girls. It wasn't exactly that easy, mostly because ponies that wanted to compete wanted her to make an outfit for them as well. Applejack worked hard to prepare food for the contest with Pinkie. And Twilight went to the train station to wait for Rainbow Dash as she looked over notes to plan for what might happen. She had already double checked her notes before leaving. But as per her usual routine, she took the time she had to look over them again. For some reason, Discord wanted her to keep Rainbow and the masked stallion away from her cloud home. And she had to keep them away from the farm. With Rarity and Pinkie busy with preparations it fell to her to keep them from finding out about what Ray and Fluttershy was doing. "Need some company?" StarBell asked softly. Blinking, Twilight turned with a gasp. "StarBell! What are you doing here?" "I thought I'd come check up on you. And see if you wanted any help with Rainbow." She replied softly. "You can't be here. If they see you..." "What? Rainbow Dash will say something that'd spark a conversation that will lead to the fake revealing himself?" StarBell finished. Twilight froze in thought before smiling and pointing a hoof at her. "Good point…" Spike came up behind them and sighed. "Three… two… one…" "Or the conversation will cause her to run off with the masked stallion and we will never see them again! And-" Twilight panicked before StarBell covered her mouth with a hoof. "Breath Twilight. We won't let that happen." StarBell comforted. "We?" StarBell and Spike smiled at each other before looking to the distance. "Let's just hope they won't be needed." They said in unison. It wasn't long before the train would arrive. And as it did, none truly knew what threat to their friendships would strike first. The only truth they really knew was that soon, Rainbow Dash would arrive and the true trials would begin. Luna sat and looked at an invite she had gotten from Ponyville. "Guest judge at a music contest?" Luna looked over at her sister, who to nopony's surprise was doing paperwork, and asked. "Sister. Would you mind explaining what this means?" Celestia smiled softly. "It's a show of skill." Celestia replied, flipping through her papers. "Think of it like a test of skills." "I see. So as judges, we would hold their careers in our hooves." Raising an eyebrow, Celestia glanced at Luna. "Explain." Luna smirked. "Only that I was invited to Ponyville to be a guest judge at a special music contest." She laughed. Celestia rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Well… that is interesting. Considering your limited knowledge of modern music and how they are judged." She countered. Luna thought for a moment as she looked over the letter. "You have a point sister… My knowledge of Romeo's music is limited. However…" She paused and smirked at Celestia. "I have time to brush up on some of the rules. And I happen to know a few ponies I can get some extra pointers from." Celestia let out a sigh and smiled. "Then I guess you should get to work and study up on the rules. Good luck, sister." Luna smiled and gave her a hug before flying off. Big Momma sat back and watched as Discord snapped his claws several times as he changed Rainbow's house into several different forms. "You know. I think a bit of 68 mixed with 39 would be more their style." She suggested. Discord stroked his beard in thought as he pondered over what she had said. "You know what?... you have a point. But I have one idea that's just chaotic, it might work." He grinned over at Momma. "And don't worry. They'll love it." Giggling, Momma nodded. "Just remember to keep it pony safe, sweetheart." Discord nodded and floated around the house as he thought it over. "Let me think…" brushing his chin, Discord landed next to Momma and smiled. "I got it." He snapped his claw, changing the house into more of a mansion. "Would you like a tour before we show it to the happy couple?" Momma got up and took his claw, letting him lift her into his arms. "Oh… I really am going to enjoy my visit." Author's Note A few more chapters till the grand reveal, and a few till the disaster.
A helping hoofView OnlineThe Element of SongA helping hoofIn order to keep his identity a secret, Ray agreed to stay with Scootaloo under the cover of being her pen pal boyfriend. Something the other CMC members wasted no time in spreading the news to anypony who questioned why a seemingly random stallion would go into her house. Meanwhile, inside the house, Scootaloo wasted no time in showing him around and making a note that she was technically a grown mare. Ray smiled and rolled his eyes at it and as they were about to get to the bedrooms, he quickly changed the subject. "I noticed you haven't been flying. I don't mean to be rude. But is there a reason for that?" Scootaloo stopped and looked at her wings and sighed. "I… can't fly." "Oh… do you want to talk about it?" Scootaloo led him into her room as she sighed. "I haven't been able to sense what I can remember." She explained as she hopped onto the bed. Ray sat next to her and looked at her wings. "No pony taught you about that stuff?" He asked. As she shook her head, Ray pulled her close and used a hoof to spread her wings. "Luckily for you. I have a history with wings. And not just because I'm a pegasus." Scootaloo blinked in shock and blushed at the attention. "Really?" She asked, trying to hide her face. "I do. And one thing that will help is proper wing care." He replied before pulling out a loose feather. "And the first step is pruning. It'll help keep your wings healthy." He explained as he pulled some more feathers. Scootaloo bit her lip as she felt him working on her wings. The longer he worked, the harder it was for her to sit still. More importantly, it became harder for her to not jump him and ride him like a mare in heat. Which she hoped she wasn't… yet. As Ray moved to the other wing, he couldn't help but to notice how it was affecting her that he was the one pruning her. Pulling away he looked over her wing. "You want to try the other?" "You can keep going." "You sure? You look uncomfortable having a stallion do it." He countered. "It's not that…" Scootaloo sighed. "I kinda… really like you doing it." "Oh?" "And… I kinda want you to do more than that." Scootaloo added sheepishly. Ray sighed and moved so he could work on her other wing. "Let's take care of your other wing first. Then we can consider that other stuff." "Ok… I'll try to stay still." Scootaloo replied as a moan escaped at the feel of him pruning her wing. StarBell and Spike sat in the square as they handed the last of the flyers to the passing ponies. "That's the last one." StarBell announced as she relaxed on the bench. "What do you say we find a place to unwind." "Sounds like a great idea." Spike replied. "Too bad Ray is laying low. Or I'd pay him a visit." StarBell giggled before looking around. "I noticed a spa around here… somewhere. Maybe we can get a steam or something." Spike smiled and nodded. "I know where it is. And a steam bath would be great." Smiling, StarBell followed him as she considered what exactly Twilight had planned with that invite to the princess as a guest judge. It surprisingly didn't take them long to get to the spa. And it was even faster for them to get a private room. Once inside, Spike found it hard to ignore the sight of her body as she laid on the bench quickly becoming covered in sweat. Noticing his attention, she smiled softly and repositioned herself to give him a better view. "You going to just look? Or are you going to show me what those claws of yours can do?" Spike gulped and started giving her a massage as he tried to keep his thoughts off his growing excitement. He bit his lip for a moment as his claws moved over her flank. Sniffing the air, his mind swam with other ideas. Getting a knowing smile, he lowered himself to tend to her in another way. As the train pulled into the station, Rainbow stayed close to the masked stallion. As soon as she stepped off the train, she saw Tank waiting for her with a note in his mouth. After reading it over quickly she gave him a loving nuzzle and led the masked stallion to Twilight's castle. It was a long trip, and having a chance to sleep in a bed with him was at the top of her list of things to do. Even if sleeping wasn't what they were really going to do. Author's Note It's almost time for the contest. And everyone is almost ready for the show to begin.

And against her better judgment, she spent each night sleeping in his embrace and each morning getting her wings pruned by him. If that wasn't bad enough. She spent nearly all day with him. She hadn't really put much thought about it. And yet. Now that the contest was starting, she found herself sitting there in shocked realization. "What do I do now?" She sighed, resting her face in her hooves. "Should I tell him?... or should I just go on like nothing happened?" She sniffed, knowing that either choice she made, somepony was likely going to get hurt. "Scoot! Breakfast is ready!" Ray called. Taking a deep breath, Scootaloo got up and nodded to herself as she made up her mind and made her way down to join him. StarBell and Spike helped their friends set up the stage as Twilight oversaw the preparations. It wasn't much of a big deal. But they did have a few problems they had to take care of however. "I do hope the money my family is supplying for this little sideshow isn't going to those pampered blowhards." Spoiled Rich huffed as she glared at Pinkie Pie. "Actually." Pinkie replied with her trademark smile. "Romeo and Juliet are supplying most of the money." "What? Then why am I wasting my bits on this, when I can be spending them on more important things?" Spoiled snapped. Pinkie shrugged and adjusted a table cloth. "Don't know. But the guest judges are thankful for the help." "And who would be that interested in this garbage?" Pinkie stopped and tapped her chin. "Let's see… Sapphire Shores… Photo Finish… Octavia… Luna… though I think Photo Finish is most coming to take 'picture perfect ponies' and judge the outfits." She shrugged. Blinking in shock, Spoiled looked at Pinkie then the setup. "Wait… the princess is coming… to see THIS?!?!" "Amazing right?" Pinkie giggled. "Celestia wrote that she would come. But she has a lot to do. They really like Romeo." Spoiled huffed and pushed past Pinkie. "Twilight. I must insist on taking over the preparations for the show." Rolling her eyes, Twilight sighed and continued directing workers. "Sorry Spoiled. But these preparations have to be done in a specific way. And according to Romeo's wishes." "This show will be performed in front of a princess and I refuse to let something I put so many bits into, be designed by some wannabe upstart with no respect for proper representation in the presence of royalty." Spoiled huffed. Twilight took a deep breath and turned to the mare. "Then it's a good thing Mister Rich was the one who paid. And as HIS name is on the registry. He will get the credit and not you." She paused to let it sink in before adding with a pleasant yet victorious smile. "By Romeo's request and sported by the princess." She glanced at her notes as Spoiled looked at her in disbelief. "Oh. And do to your actions… you're banned from attending. I suggest you leave before the guards show." With that Twilight returned to work, leaving the shocked Spoiled sitting alone. Rainbow sat with the masked stallion as they watched the preparations. "Looks like the first round is going to start soon." She said softly before nuzzling him. "Not like there's really any competition. After all, there's only one you." The masked stallion smiled and gave her a kiss before leading her into an alleyway where she happily gave him a blow job. After breakfast Ray started the dishes as Scootaloo helped gather the dishes. Once she placed the last dish in the sink she sat next to him and bit her lip. "Now or never." She told herself before taking a deep breath. "I love you." Ray smiled as he turned to her. "Oh? You mean like a brother?" In response she decided to leave no room for error and grabbed his head in her hooves, pulling him into a kiss. She held the kiss for a few moments to bask in how his lips felt. If this was going to be her only chance to feel his kiss. She wanted to remember how it felt and tasted. When he managed to pull away, he looked at her in shock as she looked up in concern and fear. Giving her a soft smile he pulled her close. "Scootaloo. You're a brave and tough fi-" "I'm older than I look." She interrupted. Blinking, he looked down at her. "How much older?" "Well… let's just say… I'm only in school because I don't have a cutie mark." She sighed. "Why do you look so young?" She laughed. "Magic. What else? My aunts told me I was really sick when I was young. So NY parents asked a unicorn to heal me… and apparently they used dark magic which trapped me in this body." She sighed. "And transferred my condition to my wings." Ray thought for a moment. Before pulling her close. "In that case after the contest. What do you say, we talked to Twilight about it? Maybe she has something in one of her books." "But till then?" Scootaloo asked softly. Smiling, Ray pulled her into a kiss which led to them somehow ending up on the couch. Scootaloo moaned as she felt him sliding against her stomach. She didn't believe till now a stallion was this big. But now she was wondering if he'd even fit. Not that she wasn't up for the challenge. After all, no colts were interested in her. And other than Rumble. Sadly he was in the closet. Regardless of what she thought before. Looking around she noticed Rainbow sitting with a blank expression on her face, and a second one crying in the corner. She had seen plenty of dreams like this. And without a second thought, blasted the calm Rainbow with magic banishing her before turning to the crying one. "Do you know why I have come, Rainbow?" She asked flatly. Rainbow sniffed and hung her head. "I… I don't know anymore. I don't know what to think. I just want to be with Ray." "Sadly that will not be the case if you stay like this." Luna sighed. "I know you have the strength to fight this. But if you intend to be with Ray. You must hurry." "But how?" Rainbow asked. "You spent months in that dimension of endless rooms with him. You know what must be done." She instructed. "But what I can do for you is help you wake from this nightmare." With that her horn lit filling the space. Rainbow moaned and sat up as she looked around. Climbing out of the bed. She went to the window of the castle's guest room. A part of her still wanted to stay. But that once small part that had been screaming this entire time was now biting at the bit to find her stallion and apologize. Jumping out the window she flew off to Scootaloo's. Within moments of the house coming into sight she saw the other CMC members sitting outside the house. Out of curiosity she flew down and saw a note on the door. After glancing at the two downtrodden friends, she looked at the note and looked it over before shooting off in tears. "Dear Rainbow Dash, You know I've always looked up to you, and thought you were the coolest and strongest pony I ever met. But after what you did at the contest, we have decided to leave Equestria together. He doesn't deserve what you did. Goodbye. Ps: I talked to Discord. After a while, if you can get over that fake then he'll send you to us." Rainbow landed on a cloud and broke down crying unaware that the masked pony had followed her. After a few moments he spoke. "I'm sorry…" He said, causing her to stop and turn to him. "I swear I never intended things to go this far. When I saw his face. I thought he'd recognize me… so I let you lead me away." He took a deep breath and sighed. "I swear I won't stop till I find him." He sighed before dropping his disguise and revealing a gray changeling. Rainbow's eyes widened in shock but was held in place by his magic. "Please. Let me explain. I got a job as Romeo's second at the shows so he can spend time with his VIP guests. And when you came to get me from the stage. I couldn't bring myself to tell you the truth. The train ride didn't help. I didn't mean to put you under a spell. But I was afraid you'd hate me if I said anything." He facehoofed. "I know I'm not helping my cause. But the amount of love you have for him was too much to turn away from." "So why tell me the truth now?" He bit his lip and rubbed the back of his neck. "I… kinda put a spell on you before the contest to… slow the process in case something happened to either of you." "Meaning?" "That if I don't get going to find him. You'll be needing your friends and family a lot more than normal." He replied. After seeing her raise an eyebrow at him he sighed and pointed at her stomach. "It's not mine." Rainbow blinked in shock. As he let her go, she jumped to her feet. "You're telling me I'm…" "If you doubt me. You can ask your friend Twilight to check." He laughed. "It's still early. But you definitely are." "And you can find him?" "I can see emotions. And theirs is definitely strong." He replied with a smile. "It's the least I can do, for messing things up for you." "You better. Or I'll have some of my friends track you down and pummel you." Rainbow spat before turning away and placing a hoof on her stomach. "But… before you go… how long till…" "Hard to say… but twelve months may be a good guess." He replied with a shrug. "So… slightly over the normal time?" Rainbow hung her head and thought for a bit before nodding. "Fine… you got nine months then." He nodded. "Then I'll head off right away and search for him." With that he flew off leaving her to think about what she had heard and done. Taking a deep breath she flew back to the castle. She was going to need her friends' help and advice on what to do. It was early enough that several of them were still asleep. But Sweetie and Bloom will likely tell their sisters about the note and they'll want to confront her about it. It was going to be rather… complicated for her to explain everything. But hopefully she'll have time to think of how to explain everything to her friends. Author's Note This wasn't exactly what I had planned. But heck, it would be an interesting cliffhanger for a sequel. I might do one more chapter. But that will most likely only be an epilog to tie the two together after I start the sequel.

I plan on getting to the good stuff after a few chapters in. But I feel it would be better if we take things slow. Or at least try too. Yes, this story is connected to my first one. Raising the draconequus's mirror. For some reason sounding like a record player that skipped on the "o" a few times. Looking over at it Discord snapped his claw. This caused a line to appear on it that wobbled to the tone and pitch of sound that came from the mirror. "You'll have to forgive me." Discord stated. "But I just got out of the shower. And I'm not..." He was cut off by the voice. "It's fine. You wouldn't be the first naked creature I've seen. And far from the strangest." "Now I feel insulted. What would be...?" "A platypus with wings, and a lizard tale." The voice answered bluntly. After a moment of thought Discord replied. "Toshay. So... to what do I owe this call? And lovely imagery?" "Let's just say. A friend looking to spread some friendly..." the voice paused for a moment before finishing. "Cayos." Discord didn't have to see who was speaking. He can tell that it promised to be a fun idea. A smile came across his face. "I'm listening." He said, with an evil grin coming across his face. An unknowable time later Discord sat back floating in air. "That sounds perfect. Oh I can't wait to see the eyes of my friends." He said. His smile never leaves his face. Meanwhile in the land of Equestria seven friends simultaneously let out a sneeze along with two alicorns. "Sister. You don't think so?" The younger of the two asked. "I do." The elder replied. "And something tells me he is not alone in planning what's to come." "What must we do?" The younger asked in concern. "Nothing." "Nothing? But he..." "Has come a long way. Let us see what good his plan will bring." "And if it doesn't bring good? Then shall we step in?" A sigh escaped the elder's lips. She understood her sister's worries. "Fear not. You know as well as I that there are those that can stop him far better than us." A moment passed. "Indeed... I must admit. I am intrigued to see where this goes. But..." Knowing where her sister's mind was going. The elder asked. "Shall we make it interesting?" "Do you mean... get involved or a wager?" The elder smiled. Meanwhile, far from equestria. A small sneeze is heard. "You ok there kid?" Asked a security guard. "I can call in if..." The 'kid' in question shook his head. "I'm fine. You know what they say. If you sneeze. It means someone is talking about you." The guard laughed. "I'm shocked you're not sneezing more often than. My kid doesn't shut up about you." The two shared a laugh before the guard lets out a sigh. "Well. It's almost time." "Ya." The kid sighed putting on a mask that covered the top half of his face. Taking a deep breath he smiled. "Thanks for keeping me company." He said, walking over to a curtain as music started to play. Stepping through he began to sing as he scanned the stage. He knew the band playing won't be anyone he knew. But he still felt his heart drop a little regardless. Next he scanned the crowd. Again. Strangers. "It's fine." He told himself. "I'll just do what I always do." As the song hit the first high more emotional part. He showed his feelings in his act. The crowd was enthralled. They knew what they were getting with the concert. And they were not disappointed. Even if they never knew where it came from. They felt everything he sang. "Don't stop. Don't break." The kid told himself. "This is for them as much as yourself." More and more he sang. Soon he'd have to come up with something uplifting to say. "More." He had to... for them. Time passed and the final song ended. After his practiced "Good bye." He turned and walked off stage. Never once loosing his smile. "Tomorrow is another day." He breathed. "A shower and nap. Then it's back to work." "There you are." A voice called out. Turning, the kid saw his manager. "Great work out there. Now. After something to eat and a shower. We can get on the road to your next show." The kid knew he meant well. But sometimes. "You think we can rest in a hotel first? Those busses give me a cramp." "Oh my goodness." The manager gasped. "I didn't know." "Bull shit." The kid thought, holding his smile. "I'll get you a room right away." The manager partially cried before spinning away on a heel. Walking away he pulled out his phone. "Hello? I need a room, stat." And immediately he knew that what had knocked him out was the flank of a mare. One known for crashing and breaking things. Shockingly, he was the first victim of her "steel flank". "... I mean it. What do you think will happen when he wakes up? If the first thing he sees is his attacker... he might go into shock..." from the sound of it. Whoever was speaking knew a lot about this kind of stuff. "I just don't know what went wrong." 'That must have been the one that landed on me.' He thought as feeling started to return to him. It didn't take him long to figure out he was laying on his back in a bed. After a few moments he heard hoofsteps one pare leaving and what he thought was three approaching. "So doc. Do you know when he'll wake up?" A new tomboyish voice asked. "I'm sorry Miss Dash." A male voice. Most likely the doctor replied. "But concussion by Derpy is a hard condition to track. And seeing he's the first case like this I'm afraid he may have..." Dash cut him off. "You're about to say he might be brain dead. Weren't you?" The young stallion wrinkled his itchy nose. 'Well. I have some movement now.' He thought. 'Let's see if I can...' "Princess Twilight! What are you doing here?" The doctor asked. 'Nope. Can't sneeze.' "I heard one of my friends was helping an injured stallion. So I thought I'd come and see how he was." Twilight replied. 'Wow. Getting checked by a princess? And was helped to the hospital by her friend?' The stallion thought. 'I kinda want to milk this... but...' The stallion let out a loud moan as he slowly opened his eyes. "Oh. He's up." A yellow stallion with a brown tail said happily. "I'm Doctor Horse. How are you feeling?" "Better after my surprise nap." The stallion joked before grabbing his head. "She's not going to land on me again is she?" The three ponies caught the joke and joined in the laughter. "Don't worry." A purple alicorn said with a smile. Derpy doesn't make it a habit of falling from the sky." "Ya. She normally runs into you." A rainbow maned mare laughed. "Name's Rainbow Dash. That's my friend Twilight Sparkle. And what's your name?" "My name?" The stallion repeated. 'Fuck. The old man was right. They don't know me here. Just to be safe though...' he thought. "Name's ummm... Ray... something Ray." "Ray hu?" Rainbow repeated the name to herself. "Not a bad name. Sounds kinda cool." Twilight giggled and turned to Ray. "Congrats. It's not everyday she says that about somepony she just met." "Ya. And that means you now have a cool name to live up to." Rainbow added with a confident smile. "Let's see if you got what it takes to go from cool to awesome like me." "No promises." Ray sighed, finally looking around the whitewashed medical room. "How long was I out for?" "Going from what Dash told me... I'd say you slept till noon the next day." Twilight replied. "And judging from my scans. You didn't get much worse than that unexpected nap." "Thanks....ummm... what happened to my stuff?" Ray asked, noticing he was naked. "Oh your bag and clothes?" Rainbow asked as she landed next to the bed. "They're at my place. Safe and sound." Doctor Horse nodded. "I was rather surprised at how protective Dash was about your things." Rainbow glared at the older stallion. "Have you found that doll yet?" "Point taken." The doctor sighed. "Now come with me and you can sine him out." With a groan, Rainbow flew after him. "Why do I have to sign so many papers for one stallion?" Once they thought Rainbow was out of earshot the two started to laugh. "She reminds me of.... a friend." Ray sighed. "I had a feeling you were fine." Twilight said happily as she approached the bed. "You want to talk about it?" Ray shook his head as Twilight helped him into the wheelchair. "Just know my friends and I are here if you need anything." "Thanks Princess..." "Please. Just call me Twilight." She giggled. I'm not really big on the whole Princess thing." "As you wish... lady Twilight." Ray said, receiving a slap to the back of his head from her wing. After a moment passed the two started laughing. A few minutes and a scheduled check up with Twilight later and the three ponies were outside Ponyville Hospital. "Not that I didn't enjoy the push." Ray sighed as he hopped off the wheelchair so the nurses could bring it back in. "But I prefer getting around on my own." The three shared a laugh. "I know what you mean. Be lucky you got away with a sprained wing." Another laugh came from the trio as Rainbow idly rubbed her wing at the memory. "What are you going to do now?" Twilight asked Ray as they started making their way down the street. "I'd like to get my things. Pay you girls back for what you did for me. And maybe rent a room at..." Ray was quickly cut off as an energetic looking pink face appeared inches from his. "Ohmygosh.youmustbenewhere.Imean.ofcourseyou'renew.becauseIdon'tknowyourname.andIknowEVERYPONY.andbecauseIdon'tknowyou.thatmeansyou'rnew.witchmeans." The strange pink pony finally stopped and took a deep breath before vanishing as quickly and strangely as she arrived. Still staring at where that... pony thing was, Ray only found one thing to say. "What?" Twilight and Rainbow smirked at each other before Rainbow flew over patting him on the head. "That was Pinkie. I hope you like parties." Shaking away the shock Ray looked at Rainbow. "Why?" "Sorry. Pinkie party rules." Rainbow shrugged. "But heads up. You're about to become really popular, really quickly." "Nope." Ray said, stepping back. "No party for me. Not if that's her plan. No thank you." "Why not?" Twilight asked in concern. "Because I came here to get away from all that. The parties, the popularity, the...." He shook his head and turned to Rainbow. "Look. You can keep the money. Just give me my things." "Ray..." Twilight gasped as she watched the two flyers stare each other down. Twilight gasped as Rainbow nodded. "Rainbow!?" "You better find Pinkie Twilight." Rainbow said without looking at her friend. "Come on Ray. My place is this way." With that the two pegasi left a shocked and confused Twilight to stand in the middle of the street. "What just happened?" Twilight took a deep breath and turned down a second street. "Pinkie is not going to like this." She thought. outside Rainbow's house Ray looked up at the cloud house that floated overhead. He was amazed. Homes that looked even half decked out as this was expensive. "Cool right? Hang on. I had something added for the next time I ended up grounded." She said kicking a small rock into a rainbow pool. A few moments later a cloud started to lift up and climb the nearby rainbow waterfall. Seeing his chance Ray hopped on and watched as Rainbow flew up next to him. "I bet you're hungry. I'll head in and toss something together." She said before flying up and into the house. As his cloud ride reached the top Ray hopped off and wondered why she was doing all this. Not wanting to risk angering her, Ray walked in and nodded at the sight. Most everything was made of clouds. Save for a few sheets, the flying tordes flying at him. What. "What?" Quickly Ray got on his hind legs catching the aerial reptile with his foreleg as one of his hind legs caught a vase it knocked over in its approach. He quickly glanced to the kitchen before looking his would be attacker in the eyes. "You don't mention what I did. And I won't mention how you knocked it over. Deal?" He hissed. After a moment the tordes gave a slow nod. "Good." Ray sighed, setting the animal on the couch before sitting next to it so it would be between the two pegasi. "Hope you like apple juice .because that's all I got." Rainbow laughed as she came out with a plate carrying the food and drinks to find her friend on Ray's lap. "I swear he got there on his own." Ray said quickly. "I have nothing to do with..." "It's fine." Rainbow laughed. "It means Tank likes you." She set the plate on the table. "Your clothes are in the wash. Rarity is taking care of your jacket." "Who's?" "One of my friends. There's six of us. It's a funny story. But she would kill me if I was to try and wash something like that. How many bits did it cost." Rainbow asked with an eager smile. "It was a gift... so was the shirt." Ray sighed. Rainbow winched at hearing that. "Then it really is a good thing I gave her the jacket to take care of." "Why?" Ray asked as they started to eat. "It took the blunt of the damage." Rainbow sighed. "I'm..." She stopped short from apologizing when she saw Ray laughing. "What's so funny?" "My friend that gave me that was protective of me." Ray said as he fought to control his laughter. "To think that big lug is still keeping me safe." As his words clicked Rainbow joined in as the two doubled over laughing. Their food and drinks were forgotten as they basked in the irony of today's events. Several minutes later Rainbow whipped a tear from her eye. "Man. I don't think I laughed that much in a single day that wasn't because of Pinkie. Ray. You are the coolest stallion I know." The two lay on their backs in silence for a minute before Rainbow asked. "Are you really going to leave? Seeing how you are with Tank, how well you dress, and how funny you are. I know my friends would like you." Ray sighed. "I just don't want to be the center of attention." Rolling onto their stomachs the the two looked at each other before Ray looked over at his saddlebag hanging from the back of a chair. "It's why I have the mask." "Another gift?" Rainbow asked softly. "Ya. It was so I can perform and still go to school like a normal kid." Rainbow looked over at the bag. "You know. A friend of mine has an amazing singing voice. But she's scared of being the center of attention..." Just then an idea popped into her mind. "Maybe you can help her with her fear." "Why me and how?" Ray asked, watching Rainbow go through his bag before pulling out the mask. "A little trick my friends showed me." She said putting the mask on with a smile. "You think you can do it if I set the stage?" "First. I can't fly yet. Second. You wouldn't be allowed to talk. Third we'd need to time every move perfectly. And forth..." He paused to take a deep breath. "We look to different." Rainbow shrugged. "Well. I have leftover fabric Scootaloo left here from her projects. Maybe you can whip something up." Ray thought for a moment. "We'd need to have our movements sinked at all times." Ray pointed out. "Sorry. But I don't see it working out." "Fine." She sighed, putting the mask away. "At least come to the party and meet my friends before you go. Besides, you said you wanted to pay us back." Sighing they heard their stomachs growl. Looking at the table they see finishing off the food. "Party it is. And who knows. Maybe... I can start over again." Ray sighed happily before gathering his things and joining Rainbow as they head to find her friends. Author's Note Ok. So this chapter didn't really hold so tightly to the song. But let me explain. 1: he's hurt from loosing his friends. In one way or another. 2: he had preformed for his fans and is reminded of how thinking of what you want can have positive outcomes. 3: yes. This is a kinda new leaf type event for him. Question is. Is the new leaf for him? Or will it be for another? Then again. He might fall back in the old hole and either run or do for others first again.

"Big Mac! I reckon ya need some… relief. Right?" Seeing her brother sheepishly nod she continued. "Twilight found somepony who's willing ta help. Think some of y'all friends would be interested?" Another nod. "Then y'all best go get 'em. I'll watch the cart." With an eager nay, Big Mac rushed off to gather his friends. It wasn't long after that when Pinkie popped up and whispered in Twilight's ear about the location she set up. Smiling Twilight led the way to where a surprisingly well built hut stood. Turning to Ray she smiled. "I'll cast a spell to change your coat color. And Pinkie put something inside that'll hide your cutie mark and cover your eyes." After receiving a nod, Twilight casted the spell and walked the now hot pink stallion inside as the others bit their lips. "He looks cute in pink." StarBell giggled. Chrysalis nodded in agreement before the two followed them in. After the three helped him get ready they looked at Ray as he sat looking himself over. A loud whistle came from the door causing the group to turn and see Big Mac standing with a few stallions, a familiar purple dragon and… Discord? "Spike?" Twilight gasped. "Discord." Chrysalis grunted. "Twilight…" Spike gulped. "I… I thought…" StarBell stepped forward with a smile. "We'll leave you boys to do your work helping our friend adjust." She giggled as the three guys made a path. Twilight stopped next to Spike as the other two went outside. "I thought you were… you know." Spike sighed and shrugged. "I still want to. But if I wait. I'll go nuts." "Then we better let the little guy go first." Discord laughed. Once the girls were outside. Discord shut the door and used his magic to lock and soundproof the room. "Ok. So who are you really?" He asked knowingly. The other two looked shocked before turning to Ray. "Just a sluty pony looking for-" "Don't be shy. No pony but us will know. Plus, if we know who you are. We won't have to go through all this trouble just to get your fix and our relief." Discord pointed out. After seeing the other two nod in agreement Ray sighed. "Pinkie Promise?" Ray asked. Without hesitation the three guys said the words and did the motions. Nodding, Ray took off the eye cover and smiled sheepishly. "Call me Ray." Discord snapped his fingers as the spell Twilight put on him faded. "Don't worry. Once we're done the spell will return." He explained. "So… Spike want?" Ray asked, fluttering his wings playfully as he licked his lips and shaking his hip. "Can I… take your flank?" He asked. Ray hummed softly before a knock came to the door. "It's me… Soren… Is Ray in there?" Discord looked to Ray for an answer and smiled at seeing a grin. In a flash of light, Soren found himself facing Discord's erection. "Go on and take it. We both know you want to." Ray encouraged as he pulled Spike closer. "As for you Spike. Let's hear you say it like you mean it." Spike blushed as the other guys smiled at him. "I… I want your ass." He chirped. "With feeling." Ray teased as he turned and shook his butt at the dragon. Looking at the others he blinked at the shocked looks before a shiver went through his body at the sudden grip of a pair of claws on his flank. "Spike want." Spike growled, thrusting his tongue into Ray's flank, causing his head to flop on the ground with his tongue flopping onto the floor. Soren looked over and moaned softly before mirroring his position as Discord copied Spike's move. Seeing the two's position, Big Mac sat between the two letting them lick and suck his dickand take turns on his tip and balls. Oh and he stole Romeo's mask." Momma and the manager look at each other in shock then turn slowly to see Ray sitting there with his eyes closed. He takes a slow deep breath. "Not again. Not this time. Not her." He growled as he slowly opened his eyes. "Momma. I'll see you in Ponyville." He growled as he made his way outside. Once there he got outside he went up to Discord. "Send me to Ponyville." Shrugging, Discord snapped his claw, sending Ray to Ponyville. After arriving in Ponyville he went to Twilight's castle where the girls were waiting along with Shining Armor and princess Cadence. Twilight and the girls listened as he explained what happened and his plan. Twilight agreed that it would take more than simple words to convince her that the Romeo she was with was a fake. And turned to the girls agreeing to set everything up. However there was one catch. He had to stay out of sight. At least from her. It wasn't going to be easy. But he agreed as long as they got her to promise not to sleep with him till after they pulled off the plan. They knew they were running on a time crunch as is. And with the risk of Rainbow breaking her element unknowingly. Made things a lot tighter. On the train, Rainbow laughed and sang with the masked stallion. And with every passing second, she felt the urge to tackle him and make love with him grow harder to resist. And yet… there was still that one small part of her that felt like something wasn't right. It was that part that somehow was keeping her from making the cart smell like sex by the time they arrive at Ponyville. And a part of her knew it would be for the best. At least she hoped. They weren't far from Ponyville when a new song was heard in the wind. She looked around the now empty cart as the voice singing was one she knew. One that made her heart soar. And at the same time, at this moment at least, sink. "Ray." She whispered as she closed her eyes. She felt the song dig into her and her heart felt as if it began to beat in time with his. She didn't know how, or why. But it was like they were back in that hall of rooms Discord had dumped them in. She knew just what to sing. And instead of holding it in or simply humming it. She went to the window and added her own voice to the wind. "Incomplete!" Author's Note I realize the end of this chapter is ironic. Considering I normally try for 1000 word count. But it's kinda fitting. Don't you think? Who wants to guess on how he's going to reveal the fake?

Sapphire said in her normal energetic toan. "Yes. I too am eager to see if the performers can bring… THE MAGICS." Photo Finish added as she finished in her classic pose. "That's great to hear. I was told you both worked with Romeo." Twilight mentioned as she walked them to the table. "Oh that was an amazing show." Sapphire replied with a laugh. "Once we started singing. It was like magic for the ear." "Yes. He has… The magics." Photo added. "I just point the camera and capture… the magics." Twilight smiled and handed out the folders of the contestants. "That's great. Then you would be able to see who best reflects his style." "Come again?" Twilight smiled sheepishly. "Well… he thought it'd be nice to give his fans a chance to shine. So… he decided to make a contest for viewers to guess which singer was him." The two looked at each other before glancing through the folders. Looking at Twilight, they smiled and nodded. It wasn't long before Luna arrived that Twilight sent out the signal to let everyone know the contest was starting. Rainbow sat with some of the other contacts waiting for their turn to perform. She honestly did enjoy the show. Some of her favorite performances were the ones that her friends were a part of. Like several of the other backup singers, she talked with her friends while some of the… more obvious eliminations were on stage. The first few rounds were basic, "sing one of his songs", "show off your dance moves", and the one she liked most was "the duet". Normally Rainbow wasn't into lovey-dovey stuff. But when it came to Romeo. She couldn't help but to smile. However, in their performance, she didn't feel it the same way she did back in the maze of rooms. A part of her was surprised they made it through the round. But she chalked it up to over performers doing worse than them. Even still. She started to wonder. Was that voice right? Up next was Ray. And Rainbow smiled at seeing Fluttershy and surprisingly Scootaloo got on stage with him. Her jaw hit the floor at how close the three seemed. She had her suspicions about Scootaloo liking older ponies. Even if only by a few years. But she thought Fluttershy wasn't into stallions. What was even more shocking was that they were good. Really good. There were only a few rounds left and Ray knew the time was drawing closer to make the grand reveal. The next round was to involve the crowd. Something he did in nearly every one of his shows. He'd normally go all out. But for the sake of hiding, he decided to focus on getting the crowd to sing along as several of the other contestants let their proverbial mask slip. It wasn't much of a surprise that the masked stallion and Rainbow made it. And as he finished his song. He had a feeling he made it too. Smiling, he laughed with his team and talked about what they would do for the next song. "Due to the number of contestants and a few disqualifications!" Twilight announced. "We'll be jumping to the final round! A battle!" Ray sighed and looked over at Rainbow before glaring at the masked stallion. This was it. He hoped there was still time to chip away at whatever wall was blocking her from seeing the truth. But now they had no choice. As the two teams got on stage, ponies gathered along the edge of the stage to see who would win. Song after song the two performed as the guys took turns with their chosen lead backup. Twilight and her friends were shocked at the vocal range Scootaloo had. And more importantly her dance moves. With her final song, Scootaloo had gotten both guys to join her in the middle of the stage. Neither side noticed the clouds forming overhead. However, as Scootaloo jumped up and ripped the masks off the stallions, a crack of thunder sounded as rain practically drenched the stage as she sang. Ray stood confident as the other stallion quickly covered his face. The jig was up and everypony had seen his face. It was time to… Ray looked in shock as Rainbow wrapped her wing around the imposter. "Come on hun. Let's get you out of this rain." She said, walking him away from the contest. The crowd looked in shock and confusion as Ray hung his head and flew off to Scootaloo's place. Not knowing what else to do, the other ponies simply started to leave until the remainder of the elements and judges were left. "So… what are we going to do about the fake with Rainbow?" Applejack asked. "There's nothing we can do." Twilight sighed. "At least not yet." The judges whispered to each other as Luna got up and left them in deep thought. This was indeed bad. But if she acted fast. She may be able to minimize the damage. And if not her. Then maybe Twilight and her friends will be able to. Scootaloo stopped off in the bathroom to grab some towels before going to the bedroom where Ray was laying on the floor. She paused for a moment before laying a towel on him before laying against him. No words were said. Neither of them really knew what to say. It was hard to believe that Rainbow didn't see his face. And even harder that she'd be protective of him after learning it wasn't him. And yet… Scootaloo sent a silent prayer to Luna to help Rainbow. After a few moments, Scootaloo looked at his face and saw that he was crushed. Her idol had broken him. And it was up to her to help him any way she can. All she had to do was think of how to do that. And fast. Author's Note OK. I may have jumped the shark with this chapter. But I didn't exactly know how I was going to have Rainbow react to simply being tricked. But with the new level of drama that has formed. There is a very good chance that a favorable reaction will come. But this chapter does bring up several questions. What do you guys think?
Intermission?View OnlineThe Element of SongIntermission?As the months ticked by, Rainbow did everything she could to prepare for the news… Month one: Knowing that StarBell and Momma would be returning to their world at any time, she spent as much time with them as she could. Partially to improve their image of her and partially to find out possible methods to prepare herself in case she had to go to their world. Month two: Rainbow spent most of her nights struggling with her nightmares. Thankfully however, she had Luna there to help her push through the fear and turmoil and into the truth about what was bothering her. Bothe mares knew that even with how far she had come, it was most likely that she wouldn't be ready to confront him for several more months. Month three through six: Rainbow struggled with her concerns with where they were and if she'd ever see them again. Among these fears was the worry that if and when she did find them that they didn't want to reconnect with her. On top of that was the fear that this might end up being a one way trip. Month seven and eight: With her mind made up she decided to spend the last few months in the home that was planned for her and her stallion. In the meantime, she worked to prepare for an extended trip to wherever they were, and the likelihood that she will never return. Month nine: She sat at home and looked out the window as she sipped some cider. She had decided that if the changeling didn't return as promised, she'd alert her friends before getting Discord to help. Thankfully or by chance, there was a knock on her door. Opening it revealed a pegasus with glowing eyes and a nervously happy smile. Rainbow pulled him inside and after demanding his report and a lengthy telling of his trip, got both good and bad news. "I found where they went. But… something found them too. Several somethings." The changeling explained. Rainbow took a deep breath and glared at him with determination. "Then we better hurry." He gulped and used his magic to open a portal to what looked like a stone wall. "Just go straight. The portal to where they are is the wall. And… good luck." Random nodded and paused for a moment before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Thanks." She said before going through the portals and finally starting her search for the stallion she loved and the filly she cared for. Author's Note Haven't fully decided if I should end this one here and start the sequel in the other world or not. But I do know that even though this chapter is short, like very short. It does open the door for a lot of possibilities.
