Adam had realised, at that split second he yelled, "My project!" He quickly dressed himself in his white shirt, black pinstripe suit and matching trousers. he then placed the fedora on his head and took off out the doorway of his bedroom, suddenly startled by the news that Ivor had tampered with his machines. He had no time to stop, he quickly jumped off the balcony next to the stairs in order to get down, but Adam and gravity tend to have issues. He slammed to the floor quite forcefully, his fedora landed on his hea, perfectly in place.
He opened the hatch to the basement, where he'd kept all his machines, he slid down the rails along the crooked stairway and into the darkness of the room. However a soft glowing and humming emmitted from behind a tarp on a machine. He flicked a switch and the basement sprang to life with light and clour, the completed machines whirred to life. He removed the dust covered tarp from the machine, a U shaped machine came into view before him, a small panel was open to the left of the machine. He inspected the open panel to find that a diamond had been put inside it, he said to himself, "Curious, as far as I know Ivor has never carried gems with him, EVER, this must be pretty big then." he closed the panel. Adam looked curiously at the circut breaker in his basement and said to himself, "Dare I try?" He pulled the circut breaker down, then the machine came to life, it growled like a lion coming back to its days of pride.
He knew enough to know that wasn't a good sound, and he retreated to the basement hatch. Suddenly, the door slammed shut, he vigourously pulled at it, but to no avail. He yelled "Stupid security systems!" as he well knew that the door was deadlocked untill morning. The machine kept growling, sparks flew from the small conductive metal arms running up the entirety of the U shaped machine, excluding the main platform where you stood, which was already gathering dust. The machine clunked, clanked and clinked, it spun wildly and jumped about, even though it wasn't supposed to.
The power went out entirely, Adam could see that from his power grid monitor he had been given the last time he'd caused a power outage. However, the machine still hummed and spat out energy, then, when he least expected it, a bright flash came from the machine. blinded temporarily, he fell from the crooked stairwell, he regained some sight and took a peek at what the machine had done. A glowing orb hovered inside the U of the machine, he looked right into the orb, then the orb tunred into a model of earth, he watched the earth spin for a few seconds when the orb expanded to fill the entirety of the space provided within the machine.
He could see the earth, the moon, the sun, mars, venus, but the model started to zoom out, further and further, whisping him through planets, solar systems galaxies and finally zoomed out into our whole universe. He was astounded, but it did not stop, there were other universes smaller than ours orbiting it. His expression was priceless, and it kept zooming out untill it looked like an... atom?...
Adams brain suddenly exploded with questions, his mind was filling with these questions, and yet, somthing didn't seem right. A huge rope of purple energy floated from the orb, and all went cold and un-forgiving, the orb had zoomed into another universe, another planet, he quickly pressed the express dumb-waiter, which brought down weapons and a HUMUNGOUS bag of supplies. With little time to spare too, for at that moment, the purple energy wrapped around him, he feircly hacked at it with his swords, but to no avail.
The purple rope dragged him ever closer to the orb, he felt the energy of the orb touch his legs, it was... warm, an odd sensation passed up his body as he was dragged into darkness.

Adam heard nothing for a long time, the darkness had enveloped him, making him feel cold and lifeless, but he knew that wasn't the case. He knew he was still alive, however convincing his brain that was another thing, because it was making adrenaline like no mans business. However, he felt a slow warmth crawl up him, the same warmth he felt enetering the orb. He thought to himself, "Hm, I acctually feel quite cosy." He closed the bag, as he did so, Twilight and spike talked to Adam about the place he was in, catching him up to speed as much as they could. "We should take you to see Princess Celestia right away!" she looked excited with the idea, however adams thoughts were still trying to comprehend the fact that he had ventured into his own twilight zone.(More puns) He said "I have never gotten on well with royalty." This was a known fact for Adam, last time he'd met a princess, he accidentally managed to fart right into her face, and he REALLY didn't want to elaborate on that with a flashback either. Adam looked out as Twilight opened up the door of her treehouse out into the open world. He heard birds singing and animals playing, and it was clearly quite early in the morning.

He sighed slightly as Twilight summoned a carrige, drawn by gleaming golden armoured white war pgasi. He said to Twilight, "This almost seems like a rather fairytale way to get somewhere." of which she laughed. He also allowed himself to relax, but his demeanour stopped being relaxed the second the carrige gained a high enough velocity.
He yelled at twilight through the gusting wind, "How fast does this go?!" of which she heard her reply "Well, we'll be flying in a second, so I'd guess an hour!" As soon as he heard the response, he gulped "Flying... Why flying?" the carrige took off into the air as the pegasi spread their wings. His initial yells of terror were drowned out by the billowing winds, but slowly, as he realised that there was no particular way for gravity to begin hating him here. He relaxed slightly, his un-covered shaggy mane of brown hair blustering wildly in the wind. A small smile crept on his face, a rarity by his standards.
About an hour later, they arrived at the canterlot castle, Twilight told him everything about canterlot, as well as how to act there, he ignored the "Acting lessons"

Chapter 3: Meet & greet

He said "I arrived here because, I think I might have built a machine that had temporarily ripped the fabric of the space-time continuum, and launched me into here to fix that rip." Twilight looked dumbfounded and said "I read a lot of books on science and magic, but I've never heard about a 'Space-time continuum' in any of my books!" Adam said "I'll explain to you later."

Adam looked Luna over with his sapphire blue eyes, for a brief moment he was lost, concentrating purely upon the younger princess now, she blushed slightly as she recognized him looking her over. However his attention was brought back to the older sister by a slight cough from her. she smiled and said "I think I've seen and heard enough for now, I'll try my best to accommodate you in Ponyville, but until that point, you can stay with Twilight until I have a house ready for you."
