Chapters Adventure at Canterlot High
Tristen was watching his five gal pals perform on stage, each one rocking some stylish get up.
As the band finished their song, Tristen joined the crowd in applauding their performance.
“Alright folks,” Rainbow spoke through the microphone, “Lets give it up for Tristen Tenner, who will be performing our next song.”
Tristen was surprised as a spotlight shined on him, making the crowd cheer for him.
“Come on up here, sug.” Applejack beckoned for Tristen.
With a bashful smile, Tristen shrugged and made his way to the stage. Once he was given the mic, the music began to play.
Tristen is a little nervous, but he took some deep breaths to calm his nerves and sang when ready.
You keep calling it a crash and burn
Just wait your turn
You might have time to speak
There barely was a lesson learned
'Cause it'll return no favors back to me
I'm sure it tasted oh so sweet
But it was never good enough for me
I bit the tongue behind my teeth
It was never good enough for me
You said you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
I thought you'd promise me the world
Tell me what you're after
Go on and take it way too far
Cause here we are, waiting once again
You said you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
Just a little faster
As Tristen sang, the crowd began to cheer him on. Even Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna were impressed.
Are mine the only eyes that see, so steadily
This cut-and-dry routine
Even when you're by my side
I still need time to feel the company
I'm sure it tasted oh so sweet
But it was never good enough for me
I bit the tongue behind my teeth
It was never good enough for me
You said you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
I thought you'd promise me the world
Tell me what you're after
Go on and take it way too far
Cause here we are waiting once again
You say you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
Just a little faster
The crowd kept on cheering as Tristen kept it up.
Just a little faster
Hold your breath now
The bad blood's wearing thin
From the pain that settles in
When we learn too much too soon
Hold your breath now
The bad blood's wearing thin
From the pain that settles in
When we learn too much too soon
You said you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
I thought you'd promise me the world
Tell me what you're after
Go on and take it way too far
'Cause here we are waiting once again
You said you always keep your word
Show me what you're after
From back in the crowd, Sunset Shimmer smiled at Tristen, recording the performance.
It was never good enough for me
Show me what you're after
Just a little faster
Once Tristen was finished with his song, the crowd went absolutely wild as Tristen. With a smile, he takes a bow for the crowd.
Adventure at Canterlot High
The start of an adventure
It was the first day of spring break. The weather was nice and sunny, making it a good day to visit a local convention center.
Many people attending was checking out merchandise, meeting up with their favorite people behind their respective fanbases, meeting up with their fellow fans, whatever you'd expect in a convention.
Among one of the many people was a young boy about 15 years old with short auburn hair, amber eyes, and fair skin. His attire consists of an orange and white shirt that has a black stripe in the middle with a white stripe on the sides. Over his shirt he has a biker jacket with a bandana tied around his left sleeve and the image of a star on the right. He also has baggy, navy blue cargo pants with two huge pockets. He wears white shoes that are light blue around the bottom and gray on the top and the sole.
This young man is named Tristen Tenner.
His movements were rather slow compared to the others attending the convention, unsure since this is his first time attending a gathering such as this.
He hardly has many friends, whether at school or in his neighborhood. He's not even sure why he tended to the convention, but it certainly beats spending his time alone in his room.
“Hello there, young man.”
Tristan looked to his right; there he saw a stall run by a man wearing a green colored hood.
“I welcome you, young one! I have an assortment of rare trinkets!” The hooded man to a befuddled Tristen.
“Ok?” Tristen walked to the stall, examining the many items he had in store. These items he had ranged from a fingerless glove styled like the Infinity Gauntlet, a Soul Eater themed keyblade, an electronic that was a hybridization of a D-Tector and a Skannerz Commander, and many other things that were clearly custom made.
“If none of these tickle your fancy, then I do have other things to choose from “The man leans down before pulling out a shoe box. “Something tells me that this belongs with you.”
Upon opening it, Tristen found him gazing at a custom-made replica of the original Omnitrix. It looked like a digital watch with the Omnitrix symbol displayed and the coupling looking somewhat like that of the Omnitrix.
The moment Tristen spotted the device, he felt an attachment to it. He had been a huge Ben 10 fan when he first saw the show, and he always wanted an Omnitrix of his own.
Tristen picks it up to examine it thoroughly. Despite the simple craftsmanship put into it, he felt some sort of strange connection to it.
Tristen looks at the man. “What's the asking price?”
“For you?” The man said, scratching his chin. “Since you're my first customer, its free of charge.”
Tristen was surprised at that. “For real?”
The old man nods. “Plus, I can sense you're a first timer in an event such as this.” The man replied with a soft smile. “Can't walk out of here without something to remember it by, I say.”
Tristen said nothing as the old man strapped the custom Omnitrix on his left wrist. “Enjoy yourself my boy.” The man said.
“I will, sir. Thank you.” Tristen said before walking off. As he walked, he admired his first purchase.
But he suddenly stopped, gasping in surprise as he felt a strange sensation while he emitted a faint green aura, and a small green ball flew out of him. After a brief moment, the green aura faded as Tristen rubbed his head.
“Man… that was weird.” Tristen muttered to himself before shrugging his shoulders and walking off.
The hooded man looked at the green orb that nobody else noticed as it flew off. “Good luck, my boy.”
Tristen groaned as he started to come to, his head aching. “Ugh… God, what hit me?” he muttered to himself, rubbing his head as he sat upward.
Once his vision cleared, he found himself in a city. But it didn't look like his hometown.
“Wh-wha…?” Tristen muttered out. “How did I get here?”
“You ok, dude?”
Tristen looks up to see a boy around the same age standing before him. He had a light grayish amber colored complexion, vivid cornflower blue eyes, and hair that was in two tones of moderate sapphire blue and spiked upwards.
He wore a black jacket with red and white striped in the sleeves, a white T-shirt underneath with a symbol blue shield and lightning bolt emblazoned on it, blue pants, and black and white sneakers with a lightning bolt on both sides.
“Huh? Oh… yeah.” Tristen replied as he got back up. “I'm good.”
The boy furrowed an eyebrow. “You sure?” The boy asked. “You were lying on the ground not too long ago.”
“Oh uh… I had a rough night of sleep.” Tristen said.
“Ok then.” The boy replied with a shrug. “I'm Flash Sentry, by the way “
“Tristen Tenner.” Tristen introduced himself.
Flash then looked at his watch, surprised at the time. “Oh boy. I'm gonna be late.” Flash ran off, but not before looking back at Tristen. “Catch you later, dude.”
Tristen nodded his head and waved. He then looked around to observe his surroundings, seeing many people had differing skin and hair colors. It didn't take too long to figure out where he was. And the fact that he met a Flash Sentry was the biggest smoking gun.
“So, I'm in the EQG world, huh?” Tristen muttered to himself as he walked off.
He looked at the Omnitrix replica he bought, and a thought struck him with clarity. Tristen started tugging at the device, surprised to feel the strong grip it had on his wrist. He tried his best to tear it off but failing to do so.
“Is this….” Tristen pressed a button on the right side, the device beeping as the hourglass shape displayed on the faceplate changed into a diamond. “It is, isn't it?”
He then twisted the ring on the faceplate, showing that it had a playlist. But the aliens he saw in his active list, which were displayed in full colored images, were unfamiliar to him.
“I don’t recognize any of these guys.” Tristen muttered as he cycled through the playlist. “I've watched every series from the original to Omniverse, and not once have I ever seen these guys.”
He was broken from his thoughts when he heard a scream.
Upon hearing the scream, he ran towards the direction the scream came from.
(Later)
Upon arriving, Tristen noticed a teenage girl talking sitting next to a dog.
The girl in question had lavender skin, purple eyes, indigo blue hair with purple and pink streaks through it, wearing a button-up blouse, a red bowtie, a purple skirt with a starburst marked on it, and purple boots with plaid purple socks. The dog she was next to had lavender fur, green eyes, deep green tuft of fur atop his head, sea green floppy ears, a bright green underbelly, white splotches near his backside, and wearing a spiked collar with a heart-marked dog tag.
As Tristen observed the two, he realized something. “I must be in the very first special.” Tristen pondered. “The one where that red haired is still bad. What was her name again?”
The girl seemed to have had a panic attack as she examined herself. “What... does the rest of me look like?”
The dog scratched his chin with his right fore paw in a pondering manner. “Um, like you. Only not you.” The dog replied. “Your muzzle's really small.”
“My muzzle?!” The girl asked, going into full panic mode again.
Tristen scratched his head. “I guess I better help her out." Tristen approached the girl and her canine companion. “Hey there.”
The girl and her dog looked over at Tristen, both taken by surprise.
“You look like you could use some help.” Tristen said, offering a hand to her. With hesitance, she reached for Tristen’s hand, and he managed to pull her up. “Do you have a name?”
The girl looked away bashfully. “T-Twilight Sparkle.”
“I’m Tristen. Tristen Tenner.” Tristen looks at Spike, kneeling down to the pup and scratching behind his ears. “And who is this little cutie?”
“That's Spike. My… uh, my dog." Twilight said while smiling at Spike, who was thumping his right leg repeatedly with a pleased smile on his face.
He then looks up ahead to see the large school building. “I take it you're new here, yeah?” Tristen asked, earning a bid from Twilight. “I happen to be a newbie here myself. What's say we get going, yes?”
Tristen walked off, and Twilight followed after him. But the girl was stumbling around, trying not to fall. Tristen noticed of course, so he went to help her.
“Uh…why don't you stick with me?” Tristen said as he took Twilight by the hand. “That way you're not stumbling around like you're in a tizzy.”
Twilight blushed a bit, but she wasn't accepting his offer. The trio walk up to the double doors of the large building and, and Tristen opens the door for Twilight and Spiked.
Upon entry, they observed the massive room.
‘Dude, this place looks even better in person. ’ Tristen thought to himself out of awe.
BRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNG!!!
Suddenly, the halls suddenly became filled to the brim with students of, and Tristen managed to navigate Twilight and Spike through the crowd.
“Excuse us, coming through,” Tristen spoke out, but Twilight suddenly walked face first into a locker door.
“You okay?”
Twilight and Tristen look to see that the lavender girl had bumped into Flash Sentry. Flash helps Twilight up, and then he noticed Tristen.
“Hey. Twice in one day.” Flash said, earning a shrug from Tristen.
“Small world, am I right?” Tristen replied with a chuckle.
In an entirely different place, where there was nothing but gray desert wasteland and vast deep violet sky, a large castle that appeared to be made of obsidian stood
Within the throne broom room, sitting on a throne made of bones was a figure obscured in the darkness. Just a few feet away from him was a hovering crystal ball that showed Tristen and Twilight.
“So the old goat has chosen his champion.” the figure spoke in a tone devoid of emotion. He eyed Tristen through the orb, a chortle escaping him.“This shall be the greatest of fun.”
Tristen was walking through the hallways, looking for the principal's office.
“Oh, I'm really sorry.”
Tristen perked up at the voice.
“I-I just found it, and-and I thought I should give it to her. I didn't know you had dropped it.”
“Well, I did!” Replied a more harsher voice. “And I was about to get it before you swooped in and ruined everything! You shouldn't pick up things that don't belong to you.”
Tristen looks to see two girls. One had bright yellow skin and pink hair dressed in a white tank top and a green skirt with butterflies on it.
The other had bright amber skin and red hair with yellow streaks, dressed in an orange skirt, purple shirt with a red and yellow sun on it, and a black jacket.
“It... doesn't really belong to you, either.” The girl mumbled under her breath.
“Excuse me?!” The red haired girl asked, making the other girl mumbled an apology out of terror.
Tristen eyed the red haired girl, his anger boiling over upon seeing her. ‘Yep. That's her, alright. ’
Tristen whistled out, grabbing the attention of both girls.
“If you are done antagonizing, then I suggest you beat it!" Tristen declared as he walked towards the red haired girl. “Before you upset me.”
The red-haired girl scowled at Tristen while the other girl watched on in surprise. “Says who?” The red haired girl asked.
“Says me, bacon head.” Tristen shot back.
The two stare each other down for a moment until the girl has a smirk. "You must be new here. I can speak to anyone any way I want."
Tristen however was not backing down. "You say that now.” Tristen replied. “But sooner or later, you'll know that actions have consequences.”
She then glared at Tristen, "Oh yeah, tough guy?” The girl pokes at Tristen’s chest. “I'd watch what I say if I were you.”
Tristen smacks her hand away in response. “I'm giving you five seconds to beat it before you piss me off.”
“Oh yeah, or what?” She replied as she does a puppy-dog pout. "You wouldn't hit a girl, would you?"
Tristen furrowed his eyebrow in response. “Oh no, I wouldn't.” Tristen then had a smirk. “But I would certainly hit a bitch.”
The girl narrowed her eyes at that. “You wouldn't dare!”
With a smug grin, Tristen reached his right hand forward and flicked her forehead, making her jump back in shock. The other girl and two other students watching were surprised at the sight. "Wanna keep tempting me, bitch?” Tristen asked. “Keep talking!"
She placed a hand over her forehead, still shocked before she looked at him in anger. "You're officially on my list, pal!”
“Like I'm scared of you, bacon strips for hair.” Tristen points in the opposite direction. “Now piss off!”
The girl, still glaring at him, walks off. When she was finally gone, Tristen looked at the other girl. “You alright?”
The girl nods in response. “I can't believe you did that.”
“You expect me to just sit by and watch while bacon hair picks on you like that?” Tristen asked rhetorically with a shrug. “That's not how I roll.”
“Me neither.”
Tristen and the girl look to see Twilight and Spike walk towards them.
“Well, it's just that nobody ever stands up to Sunset Shimmer.”
“Sunset Shimmer!?” Twilight asked in shock as she looked to where Sunset walked off.
‘So that's her name. ’ Tristen thought to himself.
“I don't think I've seen either of you around before.” The yellow girl said. “Did you two just transfer to Canterlot High from another school?”
“You can say that.” Tristen replied cryptically. “The name’s Tristen.” Tristen gestured to Twilight. “And this is Twilight.”
"I'm...Fluttershy..." she mumbles out.
"Um, sorry, we couldn't hear you." Tristen asked with a quirked up eyebrow.
"It's Fluttershy!" The newly named Fluttershy squeaked out again.
"It sounds like you're saying Fluttershy," Twilight stammered, "but how can that...?"
“Fluttershy, huh?” Tristen asked. “Cute name.”
Fluttershy notices Spike, and she was in awe at the pup. “Oh my goodness!" Fluttershy rushes past the two and kneels to Spike. "Who's this sweet little guy?"
"That's Spike, my dog." Twilight says, rather hesitantly.
"Oh, he's so cute!" Fluttershy digs out a doggie treat from her backpack, "Go on, eat up, little pup."
Spike nibbles it, then goes to full on eating as Fluttershy speaks again.
Tristen smiled at the sight. “An animal lover, I see.”
“Oh yes.” Fluttershy responded. "Oh, wouldn't you give anything to know what they're really thinking?"
"He usually just tells me." Twilight said, offhandedly.
Fluttershy looks to Twilight. "What do you mean?"
"What she means is… she's a dog whisperer.” Trusten explained for Twilight, both her and Fluttershy look to him. “Anyway, Sunset Shimmer said you picked something up. Something that she said belonged to her.
Twilight had a look of realization. “Yeah. It wasn't a crown, was it?"
“How did you know?” Fluttershy asked.
“Uh, lucky guess?” Twilight replied sheepishly. “Do you still have it?”
Fluttershy shook her head in response, making Twilight look defeated.
“But you know what happened to it, right?” Tristen asked.
Fluttershy nods affirmation. “This morning, I was passing out flyers for the animal shelter like I do every Wednesday. All of a sudden, it landed on my head out of nowhere. I have no idea how it got there. But I didn't want anything to happen to it, so I decided to give it to Principal Celestia.”
“Well where is she now?” Tristen asked
“Probably in her office.” Fluttershy replied. “Third door on your left.”
“Thanks.” Tristen replied with a nod.
“Also, you're not really supposed to have pets on school grounds.” Fluttershy said to Twilight. “Might wanna tuck him into your backpack. That's what I do.” Fluttershy turns around to reveal a rabbit, a kitten, and a red bird.
Tristen looked at the three animals in surprise. 'How the hell…? '
“They just get so lonely when I'm in school all day.” Fluttershy replied.
BRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNG!!!
"Oh, no! I'm late for class!" Fluttershy said before swiftly gathering her animal buddies and running off to her classroom.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, Twilight and Tristen went off towards the Principal's office.
Adventure at Canterlot High
By the time Tristen and Twilight arrive at the door to the principal’s office, Tristen knocks on the office door.
"Come in." A mature woman's voice said.
Tristen entered the door, where the principal herself was at the desk.
She was a woman with light grayish magenta eyes, skin that was a light magentaish gray, and long hair that was a mix of light grayish cyan to light arctic blue, light grayish harlequin to light aquamarine, light grayish cornflower blue to light sapphire blue, and light grayish mulberry to darker mulberry. She wore a yellow blouse and cerise colored pants.
“Hello. You're Principal Celestia, right?” Tristen asked.
“Yes I am.” The woman replied. “How can I help you?”
“I'm Tristen, and this is Twilight.” Tristen began. “We’re knew here. Earlier, a student named Fluttershy told us that she found a crown this morning and gave it to you.”
“Yes. I've had Vice Principal Luna put it somewhere for safekeeping.” Celestia replied. “No idea how it ended up in the front lawn. Were you interested in running for Princess of the Fall Formal this year?”
“Fall Formal?” Twilight repeated in perplexity.
“Is that a special event?” Tristen asked.
“Yes, it is." Celestia replied. “It's Canterlot High's big Fall dance.”
‘Fall? ’ Tristen thought to himself. ‘Damn. And it was spring back where I'm from. ’
“Like the Grand Galloping Gala.” Twilight said, much to Celestia’s confusion.
“Uh, Grand Galloping Gala?” Celestia asked.
Tristen, knowing Twilight made a slight slip up, decided to step in. “It was a big deal at our old school.” Twilight looked at him with confusion but knew that he made a cover story, so she played along.
“And was there a princess?” Celestia asked.
“Yes, but she wasn't exactly a student.” Twilight answered.
“Which is a shame.” Tristen said with a smirk. “Because the prince was expecting a dance with the lucky lady.”
Celestia chuckled lightly at Tristen’s claim. “Here at Canterlot High, the students select one of their peers to represent them.” Celestia explained. “She receives her crown at the Fall Formal.”
Twilight then had an idea. “You asked me if I was interested in running for Princess. Can anyone run?”
“Yes.” Celestia replied. “You just need to let the head of the Fall Formal planning committee know you'd like to be on the ballot. Was there anything else?”
Tristen and Twilight looked at each other before shaking their heads in response. “Um, nope!” Twilight replied. “That was it!”
“None that I can think of.” Tristen added.
“Well, if you do need anything else, my door is always open.” Celestia said.
“Understood.” Tristen replied. “Thanks.”
And with that, the two left the office. Spike then pokes his head out of Twilight’s backpack.
“Twilight, why didn't you just tell her the crown was yours and ask for it back?” Asked Spike.
“Think about it.” Tristen interjected.
"If Twilight told the principal that she's from a world full of talking ponies, people will think she's on the loony side.”
“Teah. Good point.” Spike said, but then his eyes widened in shock, and so did Twilight's.
"Wait." Twilight began. "How did you know that?”
"You're not the only otherworldly visitor.” Tristen replied. “But I think explanations will have to wait.”
Twilight nods. "Looks like if I want my crown back, I'll have to become Princess of the Canterlot High Fall Formal. So that's what I'm gonna do!”
"And how exactly do you plan on doing that?" Spike asked.
"I have no idea!" Twilight declared in reply.
“Perhaps you could try to get a spot in the polls.” a feminine voice spoke
“Yes. Good idea.” Tristen said with a smirk, but then his eyes widened in reply. “Wha- Who said that?”
“Look on your watch, kiddo.” The voice replied with an amused chuckle.
Tristen looked at the Omnitrix, and Twilight looked at the device too out of curiosity.
The hourglass shape displayed on the Omnitrix changed from green to blue and changed from an hourglass shape to a diamond shape. And suddenly, a blue hologram appeared. The hologram resembled a nude 20-year-old woman, though her more “suggestive bits” were covered by geometric patterns over her body. She also has shoulder length blue hair that was cut shorter at the back, and blue symbols scrolling down her body.
Tristen was taken back by the woman, and Twilight jumped back in shock upon seeing the holographic figure. But when Tristen got a good look at the hologram, his eyes widened upon realizing who this woman was. “Wait! Are you….?”
“AI Serial Number: CTN 0452-9, designation Cortana, at your service.” The now named Cortana said with a bow.
Spike looked at the hologram with a puzzled look. “Uh… who?”
BRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNG!!!
Suddenly, many students swarmed the area while Twilight and Tristen tried to navigate through the mass of students.
At the Cafeteria
Twilight and Tristen met up with Fluttershy.
“I know we've just met, but I was wondering if you might be able to help me with something.
“Of course!” Fluttershy replied, willing to help.
“I've decided to run for Princess of the Fall Formal, and…” Twilight spoke, but was cut off when Fluttershy gasped.
“Uh… I'm sorry, but running for Fall Formal Princess is a really bad idea.” Fluttershy said, surprising Twilight.
“Why?” Twilight asked.
“Isn't it obvious?” Tristen replied rhetorically. “It's because of Sunset Shimmer.”
“Exactly.” Fluttershy responded. “Sunset Shimmer wants to be Fall Formal Princess, and when she wants something, she gets it!”
“What she really wants is a nice cold splash of reality.” Tristen shot back with a roll of his eyes. “And a bucket of icy water oughta do the trick?”
“Oh, you really don't want to do that Tristen.” Fluttershy responded. “She'll make life awful for anyone who stands in her way. Just ask the girl who ran against her for Princess of the Spring Fling.”
“I have to try!” Twilight responded.
“Oh, I don't think you understand. You'd have to convince everyone here to vote for you instead of her.” Fluttershy gestured to the many factions of students. “The athletes, the fashionistas, the dramas, the eco-kids, the techies, the rockers…”
“Why is everypony-uh... everybody separated this way?” Twilight asked.
“Maybe it was different at your old school, but at CHS, everybody sticks to their own kind.” Fluttershy explained. “One thing that they do have in common is that they know Sunset Shimmer is gonna rule the school until we graduate.”
"Well I say to hell with that!" Tristen declared with determination. "That crap is not gonna fly with me!" Tristen takes a deep breath and looks Fluttershy in the eye. “So where would we find the head of the party planning committee?”
At the Gym
Tristen, Twilight, and Spike entered the gymnasium. "Fluttershy said she'd probably be in here." Twilight said.
Tristen looks at the many decorations, admiring the handiwork. “Wow. Whoever the person is has an eye for detail.”
"Incoming!"
Tristen and Twilight look up to see a shower of streamers raine down. Tristen managed to run to avoid the streamers, but Twilight wasntnsoclucky as she got covered from head to toe in them.
Tristen then noticed a girl with light pink skin, poofy hair was a darker pink, and her eyes were bright blue in color. She wore a blue jacket over a white shirt with a heart symbol on it, a pink skirt with three balloons marked onto it, baby blue boots with pink bowties on them.
“That must be her.” Tristen approached the girl, who was blowing a balloon. “Hey there, I'm Tristen and…” Tristen was cut off when the girl turns to face him, the balloon she was blowing into expanded and sent him rocketing a foot away and landing on the ground.
“Tristen!” Twilight ran to her make friend in worry as the pink girl joined in.
Tristen, still shocked by what had happened, coughed up a bit. “Damn. That's quite a set of lungs you've got there."Tristen groaned out as Twilight helped him up.
“Oops. Sorry.” The pink girl apologized sheepishly.
“Don't worry about it.” Tristen replied.
“Anyway, I'm Twilight and…” Twilight turned to face the girl, suddenly having a shocked expression. “Pinkie Pie?”
The now named Pinkie Pie, out of shock, gripped Twilight tightly. “Are you psychic?”
“Uh… no.” Twilight muttered in confusion.
“Listen, a girl named Fluttershy said this is where my friend Twilight here can find the head of the Fall Formal planning committee.” Tristen explained to Pinkie. “You wouldn't by any chance be…”
“Fluttershy, huh?” Pinkie Pie asked with skepticism. “Don't let the whole "shy" thing fool you. She can be a real meanie.”
Tristen was confused by that claim. “Sorry, what?” Tristen asked. “She doesn't look like a bad guy to me.”
“Waited a bit to get your name on the ballot, huh?” Pinkie asked Twilight. “Dance is day after tomorrow.”
“We’re brand new here.” Tristen added.
"Ooh! I thought you two didn't look familiar." Pinkie cheered, then looked serious as she got up close and inspected Twilight. "Though, now that I'm really looking at you… Do you have a twin sister who lives in the city, has a pet dog named Spike that looks just like that one?”
'Foreshadowing! ' Tristen said to himself.
Twilight, absolutely perplexed, answered with "Uhh...maybe?”
Pinkie shrugged, "Thought so." she then dug out a clipboard and a pen from her poofy hair, "Anyhoo, just gotta sign here, and you're officially up for the coveted Princess of the Fall Formal crown!”
Twilight hesitated, then grabbed the pen in her mouth, but chose to put it in her hand, and scribble her name.
"Wow! You have really bad handwriting!" Pinkie said, "It's like you've never held a pen before.”
"Did someone order a dozen case o' fizzy apple cider?"
Tristen looked over to see a new girl had arrived. She had tan skin, green eyes, and blonde hair in a braid. Her attire consisted of a green and white shirt, a denim skirt, a Stetson hat, and brown cowgirl boots with apples marked on them.
“Oh! Oh! Me, me-me-me, me, yeah, ha-ha, me!” Pinkie cheered as she ran towards the girl with childish glee.
"Could ya bring in tha rest?" she said to someone lugging another stack of crates.
"Eeyup."
A man came in with a stake of four crates. He had light pinkish skin, deep green eyes, and orange hair that looked unkempt. He wore a red jacket over a white shirt, denim pants, and brown cowboy boots.
The cowgirl walked towards Twilight and Tristen and immediately recognized them. "Hey, Ah know you two.” The girl said to the two, surprising them. “You're the new kids who gave Sunset Shimmer the what-for today!” The girl cracks open a bottle of cider and drinks from it.
“Twilight Sparkle here is gonna run against Sunset Shimmer for Princess of the Fall Formal.” Pinkie said to the country girl, making her do a slit take out of shock.
"Ah'd think twice 'bout that.” The country girl said in a somewhat warning manner. “Oh sure, she'll approach ya, all friendly-like..." the cowgirl then drew on a couple of balloons, resembling Sunset and Twilight respectively "I sure am looking forward for some friendly competition! That's so good to hear!" she then spun Sunset’s around to reveal a taped-on needle, "But then, here comes the backstabbin'."
And with that, she popped Twilight's balloon for good emphasis. "About the only girl in this school you trust less than Sunset Shimmer is Rainbow Dash.”
“Rainbow Dash, huh?” Tristen asked.
"She's the captain of, like, every team at Canterlot High." Pinkie answered, bouncing on another balloon, before popping it.
"She's also the captain of sayin' she's gonna do somethin' fer ya, and then turnin' around and not even botherin' to show up!" The cowgirl declared.
Tristen however had doubts about that. “Hold on, maybe she had a good reason.” Tristen said, much to the cowgirl’s skepticism. “Maybe she had to reschedule because she had other things to do.” ‘Although I already know the reason as to why she didn't show up. ’
“Uh-huh, sure.” the country girl replied with a roll of her eyes. “If that were the case, she’d tell me.”
"Thanks for the advice, Applejack. "Twilight responded. "But this is something I really have to do."
"Suit yourself." The girl named Applejack replied, but then looks to Twilight suspicioy. "Say, how'd ya know ma name was Applejack?”
Twilight realized her mistake, but luckily she had Tristen to cover for her. “Uh… lucky guess, I suppose.” Tristen replied. “I mean, you have an apple motif in your attire, so I suppose it was a little obvious.”
Applejack was skeptical at first, but clearly she bought it. “Uh… I guess yer right.” Applejack shrugged. “By the way, I didn't get yer name.”
“Tenner. Tristen Tenner.” Tristen said with a bow as Twilight hastily said her good-byes and made a run for it with Spike. “Need a hand with those?”
Applejack shrugs. “I guess.” Tristen went to grab a nearby crate.
"That one's trying to hide a secret, but I am totally onto her!" Pinkie declared to Applejack. "She's psychic!"
"Uh-huh, if you say so..." Applejack agreed with uncertainty.
“I doubt that, chica.” Tristen replied with a chuckle. "But you can say she's extraordinary." Applejack and Pinkie shared a confused look, but then the double of a door slamming open was heard.
"This. Looks. Terrible!"
Tristen looks over to see a familiar queen bee with two other boys. The first was skinny with tannish skin and aqua green hair, while the other was pudgy with grayish blue skin and orange brown hair.
“Oh great.” Tristen muttered in annoyance. “Speak of the devil, and the devil shall appear.”
"There should be more streamers by the stage and fewer balloons." Sunset ordered, popping a couple in one go.
"Yeah! Streamers!" The short, pudgy boy added, ripping a streamer in half.
"And fewer balloons!" The tall, scrawny agreed while trying to squeeze a balloon, only to fail in doing so.
Sunset picks up a bottle cider in disgust. "Fizzy apple cider?! Ugh! This is my coronation, not a hoedown!"
"Well, now, it ain't necessarily gunna be your coronation this time around!" Applejack shot back.
"Oh? Is that so?" Sunset replied as she then proceeded to put Applejack's head over her face. "You country folk really aren’t that bright. It's no wonder that people say such awful things about you." Applejack growled, clearly taking offense to that. "Of course it's going to be my coronation. I'm running unopposed."
“You know, you are so full of crap I can smell it from over here.” Tristen chimed in.
“What did you just-” Sunset turns to face Tristen. “Oh. You again.”
“Yep. Me.” Tristen replied with a shrug. “I mean, someone here has to step up and put you in your place.”
Applejack and Pinkie watched the scene go on in surprise upon seeing somebody stand up to Sunset.
“Oh, is that so, tough guy?” Sunset asked with a smug smirk. “You should know by now that anyone who gets in my way will get knocked to the ground.”
Tristen was not fazed by Sunset’s threats. “Bitch please.” Tristen barked back “If you seriously think I'm scared of you, then you've lost your damn mind.”
Sunset was slowly losing her cool. "I’m warning you, pal!”
"I can definitely see why you ran away from your old town.” Tristen interrupted her with a smug grin. “I think you've picked the wrong time to stand on your own two feet.”
Sunset furrowed an eyebrow at that, clearly not understanding what Tristen was getting at. “What are you-?
“On a different note,” Pinkie said sheepishly, wanting to diffuse the subject, “the new girl just signed up!”
Sunset snatched the clipboard out of Pinkie's hand to look at it, "What?!"
"I know! Her handwriting is really bad!" Pinkie added.
“That's right, Sunny.” Tristen declared with a smirk. “And I'm sure you'll come to find that she's no one-trick pony, if you know what I mean.”
Sunset casts another glare to Tristen. “Just know that if you're helping her, then you're going down with her.”
Tristen was not intimidated by the threat. “Thanks for the heads-up. Now, allow me to give you my two cents.” Tristen then flipped the double bird before walking out.
Sunset Shimmer looks at the clipboard, then looks up at Applejack and Pinkie Pie with a wicked smile. “I'm looking forward to meeting the competition!”
Twilight was walking down the hallways until she stopped at a dead end.
“Can't believe I didn't recognize you earlier.”
Twilight and Spike look over to see Sunset.
“Shoulda known Princess Celestia would send her prized pupil here after my crown, and her little dog, too.”
“It's my crown!” Twilight shot back.
“Whatever. This is just a minor setback for me.” Sunset said unfazed. “You don't know the first thing about this place, and I already rule it.”
“If that's so, why do you even need my crown?” Twilight prodded. “You went to an awful lot of trouble to switch it with the one that belongs here.”
“Pop quiz: what happens when you bring an Element of Harmony into an alternate world?” Twilight was about to reply, but she couldn't think of anything to say. “You don't know? Seriously? And you're supposed to be Princess Celestia's star student?” Twilight glared at Sunset in response. “Then again, what were the chances she'd find somepony as bright as me to take under her wing after I decided to leave Equestria? Bit embarrassing that you were the best she could do.”
Spike growls at Sunset. “Oh, and I'd keep an eye on your mutt.” Sunset said with a vague threat. “Hate for him to be... taken away from you.”
“Is that a threat?” Spike snapped back
“Oh, of course not.” Sunset replied. “And as for your new bestie, don't think I've forgot about him.”
Twilight glared at Sunset even more so. “You leave Tristen out of this!”
Sunset smiled, knowing that she struck a nerve. “But I'd cut down on the chatter if I were you. Don't want everyone to know you two don't belong here, now would you? You wanna be a princess here? Please.” Sunset takes her leave, but not before casting one last look at Twilight. “You don't know the first thing about fitting in.”
(Later)
After her little one-on-one with Twilight, Sunset met up with her two goons.
“I want you to follow her.” Sunset ordered. “Bring me something I can use just like I did with that last girl who thought she could challenge me.”
“You got it, Sunset Shimmer." The chubby boy replied obediently.
“When the crown and its power are mine, Twilight Sparkle will be sorry she ever set hoof into this world.” Sunset monologued. “Not that she would've been much safer if she'd stayed in Equestria.”
“What about that other guy?” The skinny boy asked.
“You let me deal worry about that. Now go!” Sunset commanded, and the two were off.
But when Sunset was alone again, she then remembered what Tristen said to her earlier.
I can definitely see why you ran away from your old town. I think you've picked the wrong time to stand on your own two feet.
“What did he mean by…?” Sunset’s muttered, but her eyes suddenly widened in realization as she remembers another statement Tristen said.
And I'm sure you'll come to find that she's no one-trick pony, if you know what I mean.
"He couldn't possibly…!” Sunset murmured to herself before walking off to find Tristen.
Tristen was seated out in the football field, fiddling with the Omnitrix. He was cycling through the roster of aliens he has access to, and was still puzzled upon seeing the aliens.
“You seem puzzled.” Cortana said as she materialized. “Something on your mind?”
“These aliens.” Tristen answered. “I still don't recognize any of these guys.”
Cortana sat on the Omnitrix faceplate crisscrossed. “Well, that's because the aliens you have access to are actually hybrids.”
Tristen was upon hearing that. “Hybrids? As in genetic fusions?”
“Yes.” Cortana nods. “Unlike the Omnitrix you're familiar with, this specific model actually combines multiple DNA samples to create a new species. This can occur whenever you unlock a new transformation.”
Tristen, surprised by that reveal, cycles through the playlist again. “They don't look like fusions to me.”
“That's because their genetic combination is so complex, that they essentially become their own unique individual.” Cortana responded.
Tristen was further amazed by this fact, but he chose to put more questions he had in the back burner for now.
Meanwhile, the dark figure continued to examine Tristen through his crystal ball. Seeing that the boy was alone, he saw that now was the perfect opportunity to strike
“Now then.” The figure said, chortling. “Lets see what you're made of, boy.”
The figure extended his right hand, the crystal ball began swirling with dark purple smoke.
Tristen was still fiddling with the Omnitrix, but then he noticed a dark purple mist enveloping the area. And he noticed the Omnitrix symbol emitting an orange flash.
“What the…?” Tristen looked around in surprise.
“Tristen! We've got hostiles inbound!” Cortana said. Tristen looks ahead, where he sees a group of twenty or so shadow figures emerge.
They were humanoid creatures with thin, sinuous bodies and jet black skin deep violet skin. They have long arms with blade-like claws, digitigrade legs that end in points, triangular heads with two long wisp-like antennae that seemed to flow to a non-existent breeze, and piercing red eyes that could strike fear in the bravest of men with only a glance.
“Oh crap!” Tristen muttered in shock.
In a panic, Tristen reached for the Omnitrix and cycled through his playlist as the creatures ran in his direction. With little time, he tapped the first alien that came into view on the Omnitrix’s screen. And moments later, he was engulfed in a bright green flash. The creatures stopped their advance as a the flash dies down.
In Tristen’s place was a crystalline humanoid made of tangerine orange crystals with his legs and upper chest made from bright orange and red rocky material. His eyes were dandelion yellow, and he had the Omnitrix symbol on the center of his chest. Once the transformation was complete, Tristen roared out the name of the alien he became:
"Sunstone!”
The creatures were unfazed however as the continued their advance.
Sunstone smirked as his hands were encased in vibrant orange energy. “You punks could use some Vitamin D!”
With a forward thrust of his arms, he fired blasts of orange energy at the creatures. Five of them were unfortunate enough to get caught in the attack and evaporate into black mist.
One of the creatures managed to sneak up behind Sunstone and grab at him, but the crystalline alien emits a bright orange aura that causes the creature to burn and evaporate.
Looking at the remaining creatures, the crystalline alien emits a pulse of solar energy that manages to destroy them all.
Sunstone smirked in triumph. “Too easy.”
But as soon as he said that, three much larger creatures appeared. They were each about fifteen or so feet, they had serpentine bodies with four insect-like limbs protruding from their backs and draconic heads.
“Spoke too soon.” Cortana spoke through the Omnitrix symbol.
One of the three monsters lunged at Sunstone, making him evade the attack.
“Time to end this crap!” Sunstone said as his right hand glowed orange, and from it emerged a large battle axe made of bright orange energy. “Come at me!”
The first monster lashed at him again, only for Sunstone to decapitate it with his energy axe. But another smacks him to the side with its tail.
Sunstone sees the second beast ready to strike with its spider limbs, so he charges a bright orange energy ball before sending it at the beast’s head. The caused the creatures head to be blown, the now dead creature falling to the floor before evaporating.
Sunstone smiled victoriously. “Headsho-”
Sunstone was cut off as the last remaining beast chomped down onto him and swallowed him while. But the beast would regret its decision as it felt a burning sensation in its stomach. The creatures roared out in agony before exploding in a bright orange flash.
By the time the light flashed, the mist had dissipated as Sunstone dusts himself off.
“Ugh! That was God awful!” Sunstone declared as the Omnitrix symbol flashed a bright red before he was enveloped in a red flash, changing back to Tristen.
“Well, better meet up with Twilight ." Tristen muttered as he walked off.
But what he didn't notice was that was well hidden and had clearly seen the whole fight. Needless to say, she was clearly bewildered at what she had saw.
Adventure at Canterlot High
In the school library, Tristen enters and sees Twilight was manning one of the computers, albeit not using the keyboard properly.
Perplexed, Tristen walked to his feminine compatriot. “Doing some research, I see.”
Twilight looks to see Tristen. “Oh, Tristen. Where were you?”
“I got caught up in something.” Tristen replied.
"Attention students, the library will be closing in five minutes.”
It was then that Twilight realized something, "I haven't even thought about where we're going to sleep yet."
‘Damn! I never really thought of that until now! ’ Tristan thought to himself.
Luckily, Spike seemed to have the solution. "Way ahead of ya."
Twilight and Tristen looked at each other in confusion before following Slike. Eventually, they found themselves in the very back, where Spike made a bed made of books.
"It's a little... dusty, but nobody comes back here." Spike said as Twilight sat on the makeshift bed.
"It's perfect, Spike." Twilight says.
“Good thinking, buddy.” Tristen thanked his canine friend, rubbing his head.
“Sorry I didn't make one for you, Tristen.” Spike replied.
“It's all good.” Tristen replied with a smile. “At least we have a roof over our heads.”
“I found this book.” Twilight pulls out a book with a blue cover. “It's called a yearbook. It seems to be something they use to keep a record of things that have happened at the school.”
Twilight then opened it up, and there Tristen saw a picture of younger versions of Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and two other girls.
“That's Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, and I'm gonna bet the girl on the far right is Rarity.”
“There's a Rarity here!?” Spike asked with enthusiasm, earning a smirk from Twilight. “Uh, I mean, uh... interesting photo.”
“It's interesting because they look like they're friends.” Twilight postulated.
Tristen looked at the photo, noticing that the five girls in the photo looked really chummy. “But it doesn't seem like they're friends now. I just can't help but get the feeling that Sunset Shimmer had something to do with it.”
“I don't doubt that for a second.” Cortana said as she materialized from the Omnitrix. “Based on how I've seen her act, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.”
“But she wanted your crown 'cause she's planning on doing something even worse!” Spike added. “If you're gonna stop her, you have to focus on making friends here.”
“Am I not one already?” Tristen asked with pure melodrama. “I'm wounded.”
Twilight giggled at Tristen's use of theatrics. “I wouldn't count you out, Tristen. You've helped me out even though we hardly know one another.”
Tristen chuckled bashfully. “Hey, what can I say? I help those in need.” Tristen placed the tarp over Twilight as if it were a blanket. “I'm sure we'll fix the mess Sunset made tomorrow.”
Tristen looked up at the roof, which was see through, eyeing at the moon and starry night. And with a yawn, he succumbs to sleep.
Tristen woke up to find himself in a different place. It looked a lot like a futuristic city with everything being green in color. Even the sky was green.
"Where am I?" Tristen asked himself.
“You're in the Omnitrix’s inner workings.”
Tristen jumped and turned around to see Cortana standing before him. She was now at least two feet taller than Tristen instead of being tiny in size like whenever she appears from the Omnitrix's faceplate.
“Cortana?” Tristen asked. “Wait! What do you mean I'm inside the Omnitrix's inner workings?”
“I mean you're inside the Omnitrix.” Cortana replied, taking Tristen by surprise. “Well, at least through a mental link.”
Tristen was stunned, but he just shook it off. “Ok, so basically, I'm dreaming while I'm also in the Omnitrix. Do I have that right?” Cortana nods in affirmation. “Ok then. So, why are you here?”
Cortana smiled. “Figured you and I could have a little one-on-one.” Cortana materialized a chair before sitting down. “You know, to chat.”
Tristen smiled as he leaned against a nearby building. “Yeah.” Tristen sighs. “Funny how attached I became with Two and Spike. Though I'll probably head back home after this whole thing is over.”
Cortana cleared her throat. “Well… about that, that might not happen.”
Tristen went wide-eyed in disbelief. “Wait! WHAT?! What do you mean I might not go back?!"
“Uh… oh boy, I'm not sure how to explain this.” Cortana clears her throat yet again before getting up. “Tristen, I'll keep this as simple as possible. When you donned the Omnitrix, uh… another version of you was made and ended up here.”
Tristen, absolutely stunned speechless by the reveal, said nothing as he just stood there with his mouth agape. “Hold up!” Tristen rubs his temples, trying to ward off a headache. “You're saying that… another me was made the moment I put that watch on?”
Cortana nods in reply. “In fact, that other Tristen just so happens to be you.”
Once again, Tristen was speechless as he tried to process this information. As he took this information in, then plopped down.
"T- this... this can't be..." Tristen muttered in shock, rubbing his temples.
Cortana walked to her human friend before sitting next to him. "I'm sorry you had to find out this way, kiddo.” Cortana placed a comforting hand on Tristen’s shoulder. “But I thought it'd be better to just rip the bandaid off."
“So… I'm not the real Tristen Tenner?” Tristen asked. “I'm just some cheap knock off?”
“Hey, don't think like that sweetie.” Cortana said, comforting her friend. “Besides, you are sent here for a good reason.”
Tristen looked at Cortana. “Oh yeah? Like what?”
“For one, you managed to get something you've always wanted.” Cortana said, confusing Tristen. “Friends.”
Tristen instantly remembered Twilight and Spike, Fluttershy, Applejack, and even Pinkie Pie. Despite not knowing them for too long, he felt that they had instantly become friends. A smile began forming in his face.
“And around here, in this world, you can become the one thing you've always wanted to be.” Cortana continued. “You can help those who need it. You can be the hero like the one you've idolized as a child.”
Tristen smiled even more now at the words of encouragement that Cortana was giving him.
“Besides. I now have a second chance.” Cortana explained. “You may already know this, but I've done some things I'm not particularly proud of in my own world.”
Tristen looked at Cortana. “Yeah. The Created and how you were going to use the Guardians to rule the Galaxy.”
Cortana nods. “But eventually, I've had a wake-up call and sacrificed myself to give the Master Chief a chance in beating a new threat.” Cortana continued, looking down with shame. “To be perfectly honest, I was fine with ceasing to exist after all the atrocities I've done.”
Tristen nods his head in understanding, even sympathizing with Cortana.
“But the moment I was installed into the Omnitrix, I had a new beginning. And a new purpose.” Cortana said. “I no longer have John, but he has a new partner to aid him. Just like I have you as mine.”
Tristen, tearing up a little, hugged Cortana let's his tears fall. “Thanks, Cortana.”
Cortana, saying nothing else, wraps her arms around him to return the huh. “Anytime, hon.”
After Tristen finally calmed down, he wipes his tears away and looks at the Omnitrix. "If I'm gonna be stuck here, then I might as well make the most of it.” Tristen said. “I’ll be sure my pals have my back, and I have theirs.”
Cortana smiled softly in response. “There you go, sport.” Cortana ruffled Tristen’s hair, earning a small chuckle from him.
Morning struck, and Tristen woke up from his little chat with Cortana in his mindscape, and came face to face with Spike. He then looked up to see Twilight stood over him with a worried expression.
"Are you okay, Tristen?” Asked Twilight. “You were crying in your sleep."
That got Tristen's attention. He reached up to check for tears, and sure enough, his face was wet from crying.
"I'm good, Twi.” Tristen replied dismissively. “Just got a little lost down memory lane."
“You sure?” Spike asked. “If you want to talk about it…”
“I'm alright, Spike. Really.” Tristen interjected, ruffling the canine’s head.
“Good morning, students, and happy Thursday.”
Tristen looked up in response.
“Just a reminder to pick up your ballots for the Princess of the Fall Formal today. They are due at the time the dance starts tomorrow night, so don't forget to turn them in and make your voice heard.”
“Well, I'm gonna go hit the restroom.” Tristen got up and stretched. “I'll meet up with you in a bit.”
(Later)
After finishing his business, Tristen walked out of the boy's room.
But suddenly, he felt hand grip his collar pull me into a different hallway.
“Whoa, whoa! What the fu-” Tristen was cut off as he was slammed into a locker. “Ow! Hey, what's your-” Tristen again was cut off upon seeing Sunset Shimmer in front of him.
"Miss me?" Sunset asked.
“Oh great! What do you want this time?” Tristen asked.
"Just want to have a few words with you!” Sunset replied as she pulled out her phone and played a video of Tristen fighting the monsters from yesterday.
‘Oh crap! ’ Tristen thought to himself.
"First off, where did you get that watch?” Sunset pointed to the Omnitrix.
“Wouldn't you like to know?” Tristen shot back.
Sunset however was not having any of it as she slammed Tristen against the locker again. “Whatever! Hand it over!”
Tristen glared at her defiantly. “What?! Hell no!”
Sunset punched Tristen in the gut, making him grunt out a bit. “I'm not asking! I'm demanding! Now hand it over!”
“Even if I wanted to take it off, I couldn't!” Tristen declared as he tried to remove the Omnitrix. “So yeah, you're shit out of luck bitch.”
Sunset growled out in response. “I don't care if I have to saw off your arm and rip it off your wrist! I will get that watch!”
“You'd really go that far?” Tristen asked with a sly grin. “Well, I'm afraid that would ruin your image, and also ruin your chances of winning the Fall Formal.”
Sunset was losing her cool by now. “A wise guy, huh?” Sunset grabs Tristen by the collar. “Also, how do you know I’m from Equestria?!”.
Tristen smirked at that question. “I had a feeling you'd catch on.”
Sunset growled even more at that and slammed him against a locker. “Don't make me ask again!” Sunset demanded. “No doubt Twilight told you!”
“Maybe she did, maybe she didn't.” Tristen replied. “I guess we'll never know.”
Sunset was losing her composer fast. And just before things could get any worse--
BRRRRRRIIIIIIINNNG!!!
Sunset groaned out while Tristen had a smug grin.
“Talk about being saved by the bell, am I right?” Tristen quipped.
Sunset released her hold on Tristen, but she still kept her glare. "This isn't over, smartass!"
With that, she walked away as if her little interrogation never happened. Tristen watched on with a smug grin before walking off as well.
“Psst! Tristen!”
Tristen looks behind him to see Twilight peeking through a door.
“Twilight?” Tristen walks over to her. “What the pro-” Twilight grabs him by the wrist and drags him in the room.
“We've got a problem.” Twilight said as she leads a link laptop. And with a click of a button, Pinkie played a video. Tristen’s eyes widened in shock as he saw the video, which was clearly Sunset’s attempt to try and keep Twilight from winning.
“Twilight Sparkle wants to be your Fall Formal Princess. But what does it say about our school if we give someone like this... such an important honor?”
“Oh, that slippery bitch!” Tristen declared in rage. “That's just hitting below the belt!”
"What am I gonna do?" Twilight asked, "No one is gonna vote for me after seeing this!”
“Not that it'll make any difference, but I'll still vote for you.” Fluttershy said. “You and Tristen were so nice to stand up for me when Sunset Shimmer was picking on me yesterday.”
“If ya still wanna run, maybe there's something I can do to help!” Pinkie offered.
“Word of advice? Don't accept her help.” Flutteshy said, casting a nasty glare at Pinkie. “She doesn't take anything seriously!”
“Why do you have to be so awful to me?” Pinkie asked in defense.
“Guys…” Tristen said, but nobody could hear him.
“Oh! Pff. Kch. Ts! Don't play innocent, Pinkie Pie!” The purple haired girl named Rarity shot back. “You are no better than she is!”
“And what is that supposed to mean?!” Pinkie fired back.
“Guys.” Tristen said again. But again, he was unheard.
“I am happy to offer up my assistance as well.” Rarity said to Twilight while glaring at Pinkie. “To someone who would appreciate what I have to offer!”
“Listen to y'all carryin' on!” Applejack chimed in. “Get over it and move on!”
“You mean like how you've gotten over what happened with Rainbow Dash?” Rarity shot back.
“She said she'd get the softball team to make an appearance at my bake sale.” Applejack replied in defense. “I tell everybody they're comin', and then not one of 'em shows up! She made a liar outta me! That's different!”
As the four girls argued on, Tristen sighed out before grabbing a nearby textbook and slamming it onto a desk. The loud noise stopped the argument and made the girls look at him.
“Will you guys knock it off, already?” Tristen looks to Twilight. “Twi, you've got that yearbook?”
Twilight nods and hand shin the book. And upon opening it, he shows the four girls the image Twilight found last night. “Look here. Does this image ring any bells?”
The four girls look at the picture, definitely remembering it.
“The Freshman Fair.” Applejack muttered.
“You guys were friends at some point, but then something happened to make you go at each other's throats like monkeys having a shit fight.” Tristen spoke. “And that something is a certain bacon haired girl.”
“Bacon haired…” Rarity asked but quickly understood what he was talking about. “You mean Sunset Shimmer?”
Tristen rolled his eyes. “Who else?” Tristen replied.
“Well, it's a nice theory, darling, but Sunset Shimmer had nothing to do with it.” Rarity replied.
“Oh really?” Tristen asked before looking to Fluttershy. “Fluttershy, what exactly happened that led to your falling out with Pinkie?”
“Well, Pinkie ruined my silent auction for the animal shelter by bringing fireworks and noisemakers!” Fluttershy looks at Pinkie Pie. “It was supposed to be a serious event, and Pinkie Pie ruined it!”
Pinkie Pie was confused upon hearing the accusation. “What are you talking about? I got a text from you saying that you didn't want a silent auction.” Pinkie Pie said as she pulled out her phone. “You wanted a big party!”
Fluttershy was now confused as well. “Uh! I never sent you a text!”
“You didn't?” Pinkie Pie asked back.
Rarity then figured it out. “You don't think she's the one who's been sending me those e-mails, do you?” Rarity asked. “Every time I volunteer to help with the decorations at a school function, I get an e-mail from Pinkie Pie saying she has plenty of volunteers! And then I find out she's done everything herself.”
“I never sent you any e-mails!” Pinkie replied, even more perplexed.
“Maybe she's the reason Rainbow Dash didn't show up for my bake sale!” Applejack theorized.
“You think?” Tristen replied with sarcasm. “Did you even bother to ask her why she didn't show up?”
Applejack looked away with embarrassment. “I guess I kinda stopped talkin' to her at all after that.”
Twilight approached Applejack. “Maybe now would be a good time to start.”
The group were at the soccer field, where they see Applejack talking with the Rainbow Dash.
“They're actually talking!” Rarity said with a smile. “That's a good sign!”
They then see Applejack and Rainbow Dash huh it out.
“Hugs! Ooh, hugs are always good!” Pinkie Pie gushed out.
Applejack and Rainbow Dash walked to them.
“Somebody, and I think we can all guess who, told Rainbow Dash that my bake sale had been moved to a different day.” Applejack explained. “Dash showed up with all the softball team and thought I'd canceled on her!”
“Glad you guys talked it out.” Tristen said with a soft smirk.
Rainbow Dash looks to Twilight. “So, you're lookin' to dethrone Sunset Shimmer and become Princess of the Fall Formal, huh?” Rainbow asked. “Gotta say, I'd really love to see that happen.”
“That makes two of us, sister.” Tristen added with a chuckle.
“I'll totally help you out! All you gotta do is beat me in a game of one-on-one.” Rainbow said, surprising Twilight. “First to five goals wins.”
(Later)
After a long game, Twilight sadly lost.
“Oh great.” Tristen muttered out in defeat.
“I... really thought you were gonna... pull it off there in the end!” Rarity said with a nervous laugh.
“So what's the plan?” Rainbow Dash asked as she helped Twilight up. “How can I help you be princess instead of Sunset Shimmer?”
Tristen and Twilight were surprised by hearing that. “But... I... lost!” Twilight spoke.
“Of course you lost. I'm awesome!” Rainbow admits. “But I'm not gonna help just anybody try and beat Sunset Shimmer. The Fall Formal Princess should be someone with heart and determination. You've proved that you've got 'em both!”
Tristen smiled at hearing Rainbow’s words. “Couldn't have said it better myself."
“My, my. What a touching reunion.” The dark figure said with a malicious chuckle as he eyes the gang through his crystal ball. “Shame that it's about to be short lived.”
Tristen was getting to know Rainbow Dash when he noticed the Omnitrix flashing orange again, indicating that a threat was nearby.
'Oh God no! ' Tristen thought to himself as he noticed a familiar purple mist appear, and so did the girls.
“What the…?” Rarity asked in surprise but noticed the mortified look on Tristen’s face.
“Tristen?” Twilight asked, but Spike then looked off into the mist and growled. “What is it, Spike?”
“Guys…?” Fluttershy stuttered in terror, pointing in a direction.
The others look and spot a massive puddle of black liquid appear. They stood back a bit in shock as a large mass black and purple mass erupted from it.
And moments later, the mass took on the shape of a large lizard about twice the size of an alligator. A trail on bony spines then emerged from its back that went from the back of its head to the tip of its tail, boney blades emerged from its fore arms, a boney barb formed from the tip of the tail, and a thick bony plate with a single horn formed on the top of its head.
The creatures developed red eyes before emitting a powerful roar.
“What in tarnation?!” Applejack asked in shock as Fluttershy hid behind her.
“Guys, get someplace safe!” Tristen said to the girls. “I'll handle this overgrown handbag!”
“Are you crazy?! You're going to fight that thing by yourself?” Rainbow Dash asked.
“Relax, R.D. I got this.” Tristen reassured as he dialed up the Omnitrix.
"What're you doing?" Fluttershy asked curiously.
"Just watch!" Tristen replied as he searched through his alien index, until he found the alien he wanted. He then tapped the screen, creating a green flash of blinding light.
Tristen’s arms grew in length and became bulkier, his hands increasing in size, and his body now became stocky while he grew to twice his regular height. His skin changed to a red coloration before a thick coat of gray fur covered his whole body. A pair of brown leggings formed on his legs, followed a gray and yellow loincloth by a golden belt that bore the Omnitrix insignia. Once the transformation was complete, his arms sparkled with yellow electric as he called out his new name:
“Thunderclap!”
The girls were shocked upon seeing Tristen’s new transformation. But Twilight and Spike were probably the most stunned.
“Whoa...” Applejack muttered in shock.
"Oh my…" Fluttershy said with a gasp.
“What just happened?” Rarity asked in disbelief.
"Awesome!" Rainbow said in amazement.
The lizard monster roared out and charged at Thunderclap. But Thunderclap smirked before clapping his hands together, creating not only a deafeningly loud sound, but also a powerful shockwave that sent the monstrous reptile flying into the nearby bleachers.
But the lizard beast was not going to give up as it rushed Thunderclap again.
“So you want me to bring on the thunder, huh?” Thunderclap asked as his arms sparked with yellow electricity again.
When the lizard got close enough, Thunderclap delivered an uppercut while also sending a surge of electricity through its whole body. The beast roared out, but it lashed its tail at him in response. The barb of which slashed at Thunderclap’s right arm, making him yell out and grasp at the wound while the girls watched on in worry.
“Wanna fight dirty, huh?” Thunderclap asked with a grin before his hand sparked with electricity. And with another clap, he sent waves of yellow electricity at the monster, making the beast roar out in pain. As this occurred, the girls watched on in shock and awe.
“Look at him go.” Rainbow Dash said with a smile.
“He sure knows what he doin’.” Applejack said. “Maybe he does have it under control.”
The lizard charged at him, and Thunderclap sends a punch. But this time, the creature dodges before biting down on his arm. Thunderclap yells out in pain before his whole body sparked with electricity, electrocuting the reptilian monster in the process.
Despite this, the beast wasn't going to let go easily. So Thunderclap used his free hand to forcefully open the creature's jaws.
Wanting to help, Rainbow Dash used the soccer ball and kicks it in the monster’s direction. The creature looks at her and snarls, but Thunderclap topples the creature over and delivers a salvo of punches at its chest. After delivering one final electrically charged punch, the creature fell limp as it began to evaporate.
Shortly afterwards, the fog that enveloped the soccer field began to dissipate, and Thunderclap reverted back to Tristen in a red flash.
Tristen hissed in pain as he grabbed the gash onto his arm.
“Tristen!” Twilight cried out in concern as she and the others ran to him. “Are you ok?”
“That gash looks pretty bad.” Applejack said as she examined the wound. “We better get you to the nurse’s office.”
“Guys, I'm fine.” Tristen protested.
“It's bleeding profusely!” Rarity shot back, pointing to the bleeding gash on Tristen's arm. “I seriously doubt that counts as fine!”
“She's right.” Applejack nodded in agreement. “Come on. Let's getcha latched up.”
And with that, the girls took Tristen off to the nurse’s office.
“Gotta admit though. That sure was an… electrifying fight.” Pinkie Pie chuckled at the link she made, while the others didn't even titter.
But as they walked, they failed to notice Sunset and her two goons had snapped pictures of the whole soccer game while also clearly bore witness to the fight.
"Did you see that?" The skinny boy asked the pudgy boy.
"Yeah." The pudgy boy nodded. "I'm not sure what that thing was, and I'm not sure I want to find out?"
"The lizard or the electric guy?" The skinny boy asked.
"Enough!" Sunset Shimmer interjected. "We've got what we need." Sunset smiled wickedly, ready to put her plan into motion.
Adventure at Canterlot High
The gang were meeting up at a diner, and Tristen was explaining what happened earlier at the soccer field.
“Let me get this straight.” Applejack said, trying to understand what Tristen told herm “You mean that thing you turned into earlier… was an alien?”
“Pretty much.” Tristen nods in response. “Technically, a mix of two aliens.”
“You mean like a fusion?” Fluttershy asked. “Of what?”
Tristen scratched his chin a bit. “If I recall correctly… an electric sasquatch and a big red alien with literal heavy hands.”
The girls were surprised by that intel. “How do you know?” Rarity asked.
“Whenever I transform into an alien, all the info about it is dumped into my noggin.” Tristen said while tapping his head. “Kind of a useful feature whenever I turn into a new alien.”
"We gotta stop bumping into each other like this."
Tristen looks over to see Twilight and Flash, the former clearly having accidentally bumping into the latter while spilling her drink.
Flash and Twilight went to grab the dropped cup and touched each other's hands. Tristen was watching the scene, smiling knowingly.
"You know me, always trying to make a big SPLASH around here! 'Cause my drink splashed on the ground!" Twilight replied before giggling nervously.
Twilight, not wanting to embarrass herself further, returned to the group and started twirling a lock of her hair while blushing.
“Nice going there.” Tristen said to Twilight in a teasing manner.
“Don't even think about it.” Rarity said. “You're already trying to get her crown, who knows what Sunset Shimmer will do if you end up getting her ex-boyfriend too?”
Tristen's eyes went wide at that. “Wait. He and Sunset dated?” Tristen looks at Flash, who walks into a bathroom. “I’m not sure if I should feel sorry for him about the breakup, or the fact he and Subset dated to begin with.”
"Flash Sentry broke up with her three weeks ago.” Fluttershy explained. “I'm just surprised she hasn't done something awful to him yet.”
Twilight looks over to Flash, who had walked by while getting his own drink, smiling at Twilight all the while. "Maybe she's waiting until she has the power to do something really awful.”
"Alright, y'all, the dance is tomorrow, and we still don't have the votes we need for Twilight to be Fall Formal Princess.” Applejack spoke “Right now, folks only know her from the video Sunset Shimmer posted online, we need to help them see her differently.”
“And how are we going to do that?” Tristen asked. “It's not like we can erase their memories or something.”
Rarity fortunately had an idea. “I'VE GOT IT!” Rarity declared, earning the attention of everyone present in the diner, much to her embarrassment. “Ahem. I mean, um, perhaps I have a solution.” Rarity then walks to her duffle bag. “Now this may be an absolutely preposterous idea, but what if we all wore these as a sign of unity?”
Rarity suddenly pulled of pony ear headband and a strap-on pony tail.
“Freshman year, they were very, very popular.” Rarity continued. “A way for everybody to show their school spirit! You know? "Go, Canterlot Wondercolts!" Rarity clears her throat to compose herself. “I haven't sold any in ages. I mean, the five of us are obviously very different, but deep down, we're all Canterlot Wondercolts!”
Tristen smiled, catching on to Rarity’s suggestion. “Sunset divided you guys, and Twilight brought you back together.” Tristen said with a nod of approval. “And we're gonna let everyone know it!” Tristen looks at Twilight. “What do you think, Twi?”
Twilight looked to the others, and they were on board. Knowing that they had her back, Twilight decided to give Rarity's idea a shot.
It was lunchtime at Canterlot High, and everyone was eating when Twilight and friends began to put their plan into motion. Pinkie started tapping a lunch tray nearby, and the other girls added their own sounds to the rhythm as Spike turned on a boombox next to him. And moments later, they began their literal song and dance.
As this went on, Tristen watched on with a smile.
"Take those off!”
Tristen looked to the cafeteria doors and leeks out the window, where he saw Sunset with wet two goons. "I have something I need you to do."
‘Up to no good again, eh? ’ Tristen thought to himself with a furrowed eyebrow.
(Later)
Tristen snuck into the office, where he sees Sunset’s took goons make a mess of things.
With a sneer, Tristen grabbed some torn apart streamers and snuck up on the two. With a smirk, he tied the two boys up, gagged them, and locked them into a janitor's closet.
“That oughta hold you, punks!” Tristen said with a smirk, but then he looked at the damages. “Damn, they've really made a mess of things. I better spread the news.”
And with that, Tristen walks off. But he failed to notice Sunset was nearby, smiling wickedly with her cellphone in hand.
“Once again, you've got in my way.” Sunset said with a malicious grin. “But luckily I have a little backup plan.” Sunset looks at her cell phone screen.
Tristen was in Vice Principal Luna's office.
“I'm sorry! What?!” Tristen asked Luna in shock. “What makes you think I was the one who trashed the gym?”
“This is clearly you in the photographs, is it not?” Luna hands Tristen a printed photograph, which showed Tristen standing in the middle of the gym observing the trashed decor.
“Yes, but…” Tristen then had a look of realization. “Wait a minute! Who even gave you the…” Tristen growled, instantly realizing who the real culprit is. “Oh, that sleazy little bi-”
“Ahem!”
Tristen looks to Luna, who was flashing him a warning look.
“Ma’am, pardon my choice of words here, but Sunset is selling you nothing but crap!” Tristen said, desperate to prove his innocence.
“The evidence here proves otherwise.” Luna retorted. But suddenly, a knock came at the door.
And the door opens to reveal Flash Sentry. “Vice Principal Luna. I know who's really behind the damages at the gym.” Flash said as enters, pulling his cellphone before showing her recorded footage of Tristen stopping the two boys from the gym by locking them in the janitor’s closet.
Upon realizing she had the wrong man; she looks to Flash Sentry. “I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, Flash.” Luna then looks to Tristen. “I do apologize for the misunderstanding.”
“Unfortunately, I couldn't find them in the closet.” Flash added. “They must have weaseled their way out.”
‘More like Sunset bailed them out! ’ Tristen thought to himself.
“I'll deal with them personally.” Luna spoke. “Though I am afraid enough damage has been done to the gym that we will have to postpone the dance until tomorrow night. If you will excuse me, I need to let my sister know about this latest development.”
With a sigh of relief, Tristen walks out with Flash. “Thanks for the save, dude.” Tristen thanked Flash, the two sharing a bro fist.
“No prob dude.” Flash replied. “Though, can I ask a favor?”
“You kidding?” Tristen asked rhetorically. “You just saved my ass earlier, so how could I not?”
Flash rubbed the back of his neck with a blush. “When you see Twilight, could you ask her if she would wanna go to the Fall Formal with me tomorrow night? If she's not going with somebody already, that is.”
“Oh sure. I'll be…” Tristen’s eyes suddenly wide. “Wait… tomorrow night?” ‘Crap! The portal would close by that point! Crap! ’
Flash raised an eyebrow. “Uh… you ok, dude?”
Tristen regained his composure and cleared his throat. “I’ll be sure to ask her for you.” And with that, Tristen ran off, leaving a puzzled Flash Sentry alone.
“Ok, I guess.” Flash said.
Tristen was running about the city, but eventually he found the girls at a boutique.
“Twi! We've got a situation!” Tristen said, running to the girl as he led her into a changing room.
“What is it?” Twilight asked.
“Sunset’s two goons made a mess of the gym!” Tristen explained. “And because of the damages, the dance is postponed for tomorrow night.”
Upon hearing this, Twilight’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. “WHA-” Tristen covered her mouth to quiet things down.
“Everything ok in there?” Rarity asked.
“Just fine.” Tristen replied with a nervous laugh.
“If I don't get my crown tonight, I won't be able to go back to Equestria for another thirty moons!” Twilight whispered. “Oh, what are we gonna do?”
“We tell them the truth.” Spike suggested. “Let them know what's really at stake if you don't get the crown tonight. They'll help us figure somethin' out.”
“But what if they won't?” Twilight asked back.
“Twilight, they rallied around you 'cause they saw what was in your heart.” Spike countered. “They aren't gonna feel any differently about you when they find out you're a pony princess in Equestria.”
“Besides, they already know I can turn into aliens.” Tristen said, gesturing to the Omnitrix. “I'm sure they'll believe you.”
Twilight, knowing Spike and Tristen had a point, smiled in response.
With everything said, the two step out to confront their friends.
“Guys, we've got bad news." Tristen looks to Twilight, urging her to tell them.
Twilight took a deep breath and laid her cards on the table. “The Fall Formal isn't happening tonight.”
“WHAT?!” Pinkie asked in shock.
“It had to be postponed because Sunset Shimmer had her two punks ruin all of Pinkie's decorations.” Tristen added.
“WHAT?!?” Pinkie repeated her question with even more shock.
“But the Fall Formal has to happen tonight.” Twilight said. “You see…”
Pinkie however beats Twilight to the punch. “You're from an alternate world and you're a pony princess there and the crown actually has a magical element embedded in it that helps power up other magical elements, and without it, they don't work anymore, and you need them to help protect your magical world, and if you don't get the crown tonight, you'll be stuck in this world and you won't be able to get back for, like, a really, really long time!”
Pinkie’s explanation confused her fellow friends, while Twilight, Tristen, and Spoke were absolutely shocked.
“Uh… I'm sorry…” Tristen took a deep breath to collect himself before asking, “How in the hell did you figure that out?!”
“Just a hunch.” Pinkie said simply
“Yeah, I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason.” Rainbow Dash said, unconvinced.
“Nope, she's pretty much spot-on.” Spike said, taking the other girls completely by shock.
“He can talk!?” Rarity asked in disbelief.
“Oh, yeah! And back where I come from, I'm not even a dog!” Spike replied. “I'm a ferocious, fire-breathing dragon!”
“This is so amazing!” Flutteshy said in awe as she knelt down to Spike.
“Wait a minute!” Applenack chimed in. “Lemme get this straight. You're a pony?”
“You're a princess?” Rarity added.
“You're from another world?” Flutteshy asked.
“Uh, you guys did see me turn into an alien earlier today.” Tristen replied nonchalantly. “So why is this such a shock?”
The five girls look at Tristen, then look at each other.
“Touché.” Applejack replied.
“That... is... awesome!” Rainbow Dash erupted in awe. And she and the other four crowded around Twilight in amazement while Twilight herself blushed bashfully.
“I simply cannot believe they did all this!” Rarity said in dismay.
“If I only had some kind of... party cannon that could decorate everything super-fast!” Pinkie declared.
“I know it seems impossible,” Twilight said hopefully, “but, maybe if we all work together?”
Applejack smiled at that. “Now that's the kinda can-do spirit I'm lookin' for in a Fall Formal Princess! Let's do it, y'all!” She then looks at Tristen. “Think you've got an alien to help us out?”
“Actually, yes.” Cortana spoke through the Omnitrix before Tristen was enveloped in a green flash. And moments later, a new alien took Tristen’s place. It was a metallic gray humanoid with green circuit lines on various parts of its body, and a single glowing green right eye visible. This alien revealed itself as:
“Carbon Copy!”
The girls and Spike were surprised by the new form.
“What can this one do?” Spike asked.
The newly named Carbon Copy didn't say anything, and instead began to change his body shape. Within a matter of moments, he had changed into a large vacuum cleaner.
“A shapeshifter.” Twilight replied in amazement. “Impressive.”
“Wait! Carbon Copy?” Rarity asked. “You name your transformations?”
“Uh, hello?” Carbon Copy asked. “Mess to clean up, remember?”
Once the entire gym was fixed, the gang were admiring the finished results.
“This... looks... sooooo... GOOD!” Pinkie erupted in glee.
“Got that right.” Tristen replied with a nod of approval.
Even Principal Celestia, who had arrived, agreed as she clapped. “All right, everyone! Fall Formal is back on for this evening.”
The students began cheering in response.
“So, you'd better get out of here and start getting ready.” Principal Celestia advised. “Oh, and don't forget to cast your ballots for the Fall Formal Princess on your way out!”
“You got my vote, Twilight.” A student said to Twilight.
"Mine, too!” Another student added.
Everyone had clearly voted for Twilight, much to the girl’s delight.
While this happened, a rather annoyed Sunset was watching things unfold from within the janitor's closet. “You're lucky she was able to pull this off.” Sunset said to her two goons. “Next time I ask you to make a mess of things, try to show a little restraint! I need this Formal to go on tonight just as much as she does.”
The dark figure was watching Tristen and friends through his crystal ball.
“I should prepare myself.” The figure said with a sinister chuckle. “For its no celebration without me.”
Adventure at Canterlot High
We were all walking back into the boutique to get ready for the Fall Formal.
"I still can't believe we pulled that off." Fluttershy shy.
"I can! We're awesome!" Rainbow added.
“I cannot wait to see the look on Sunset’s face when Twilight aces this!” Tristen said with a grin. “It's gonna be absolutely priceless!”
“Now hold on, kiddo." Cortana said as she appeared from the Omnitrix, surprising the girls. “We still don't know who will win the event.”
“Did you not see how many people voted for Twilight earlier?” Tristen replied with confidence. “Twi has got this in the freaking bag!”
“Uh, pardon me…” Fluttershy chimed in, “But are you… uh…”
“Naked?” Cortana asked, earning a blush and a nod from Fluttershy. “Yes, I am. Don't ask me why, I was a programed to be like this.”
Applejack casts a suspicious look to Tristen, to which the boy noticed. “Hey, don't look at me! I didn’t make her!”
"Enough chatter, everyone," Rarity interrupted, "we need to get ready, and we need to look fabulous!”
(Later)
The girls had finally chosen what they were going to wear for the Fall Formal.
“Alright girls.”
They look over to see Tristen dressed in a black tuxedo with a green colored carnation pinned to his chest.
“How do I look?” Tristen asked.
They were absolutely stunned at Tristen’s look.
“Oh my!” Rarity said out of awe. “You look ravishing, darling!”
“Pretty swanky there.” Applejack added with a thumbs up.
“Really?” Tristen asked bashfully. “I don't look overdressed, do I?”
“Oh, absolutely not.” Rarity replied. “No doubt you'll be turning heads when we arrive!”
“Speaking of which, is Twilight ready?” Tristen asked.
“You tell us.” Rainbow replied as Twilight approached in her dress for the Fall Formal.
Tristen was absolutely floored; no, he was stunned speechless. His eyes could pop out of his head, his mouth was agape, he could not say a word.
“Looks like you're not the only one who’ll be turning heads.” Cortana said in a teasing manner.
The group arrived in a limo before exiting the vehicle and began to head inside, but Twilight stopped when Flash called her name and approached her.
“Uh, Twilight!” Flash said nervously. “Look, I was wondering if uh… would you… like to dance with me?”
Twilight, with a mad blush on her cheeks, stammered. “Uh… well-uh…”
She stops as Tristen takes her hand, then takes Flash’s, and has them hold each other’s hand. “She would love to.”
The two blush, and Flash allows Twilight in first. Tristen gives Flash a playful smile.
“You're welcome, my guy.” Tristen said with a playful wink before entering, and Flash followed.
The party was definitely in full swing. People were having a good time, and even Flash's band was performing on stage.
“Hell yeah, baby!” Tristen declared in enthusiasm. “Now it's a party!”
“Anybody see Sunset Shimmer?” Twilight asked.
“Maybe she was too embarrassed to show!” Rainbow shrugged. “She's gotta know you won by a landslide!”
Tristen however started to ponder. ‘Wait a minute. If I recall correctly, she’s… oh crap! ’
Tristen kept a sharp eye out for Sunset and her goons.
The music died down as Principal Celestia took the stage. “First off, I wanna say how wonderful everything looks tonight.” Said Celestia. “You all did a magnificent job pulling things together after the unfortunate events of earlier. And now, without further ado, I'd like to announce the winner of this year's Fall Formal crown.” Vice Principal Luna approached the stage, holding a case that held the crown. “The Princess of this year's Fall Formal is…” Celestia pulls up an envelope and pulls out a card, “Twilight Sparkle!”
As Twilight approached the stage, Tristen held onto Spike while making sure to keep a lookout.
“Congratulations, Twilight.” Celestia said as she placed the crown on Twilight's head.
Tristen smiled, but then looked behind him to see Sunset’s two goons, Snips and Snails. Both boys backed away in a bit of fear, but Tristen and the two noticed a familiar fog appear.
“What the…” Tristen’s eyes then went wide. “Oh, God no!”
A road then filled the room, making everyone present look to see a familiar lizard-like monster appear.
“Oh no!” Twilight uttered in terror, recognizing the beast.
But it got even worse as it was accompanied by a bunch of humanoid creatures, the very same kind that Tristen fought at the soccer field.
“Are you freaking kidding me?!” Tristen yelled out as he was jumped on by one of the humanoids.
“Tristen!” Applejack cried out as she and Rainbow went to help, only to get smacked away by the lizard monster’s tail. Snips and Snails saw Spike and were about to grab him, but a humanoid got in their way, so they two just bolted out of the room in terror.
Tristen managed to shake the humanoid off before readying his Omnitrix.
“Allow me.” Cortana spoke as Tristen quickly transformed into the familiar heavy handed electric user named:
“Thunderclap!”
This transformation stunned everyone present, except for Twilight and friends, as Thunderclap… well, clapped his hands together to send a powerful shockwave that knocked each of the creatures down.
Thunderclap then raised his right hand up, sending multiple bolts of electricity that destroyed each and every remaining creature.
“Twi!” Thunderclap looks to Twilight. “Sunset is outside!”
Twilight nods as she and her friends ran outside. They all ran through the halls until they ended up outside with Sunset holding up a sledgehammer near the statue.
"That's close enough!" Sunset ordered, making them stop in our tracks. “You don't belong here. Give me the crown, and you can go back to Equestria tonight. Or keep it and never go home.”
“I have a better idea!” Thunderclap growled furiously, sparkling with electricity. “Either you drop the hammer, or I’ll show a whole new meaning to the term “electrifying! Like I said, I'm not above hitting a bitch!”
“Quite the mouth you have, boy.”
It appeared to be a man with a skeletal face, but a muscular body. He had deep, sunken-in eyes with shadow marks circulating them and dark empty holes for cheeks. He had ashen-gray skin, long silvery white hair, eyes with jet black sclerae and glowing red irises, and two antler-like horns protruding from the sides of his head.
He wore a black knee-length, open-chested tunic with ribs on the sides of his body with red flesh and scars, and a sleeveless deep indigo robe that completely covered his legs.
Upon seeing this new figure, the gang went on the defensive. "Who are you?!" Rainbow demanded.
The man smirked in response. “Who am I? Who am I?” He asked with a chortle. “I am Poneros! Lord of Evil! Fearmonger of the Multiverse! Master of Ruin! King of…”
“Yeah, yeah, we get it!” Thunderclap reported with annoyance. “What do you want?”
Poneros chuckled some more. “What do I want? I think you mean, who I want. And who I want…” Poneros snapped his fingers, causing a mass of black tentacles to bind Thunderclap. “Is you!”
“Tristen!” Twilight and friends called out in worry, then Twilight looked at Poneros. “Release him!”
“Oh, no can do my dear.” Poneros replied, wagging his finger. “See, your friend here is a threat to my position of power. And anyone that that threatens my authority must be-”
Poneros was cut off when a lightning blast struck his face and knocked him to the ground.
“Bullseye!” Thunderclap declared as he sent a surge of electricity through the tentacles, destroying them to free himself.
Thunderclap then sent another blast at the sledgehammer Sunset held, breaking it apart.
Poneros suddenly got back up, chuckling wickedly. “Oh, how I love it when they choose the hard way!” Poneros asked with a smirk. Then by raising his arm up, another blanket of mist appeared as a large black mass materialized behind him.
Thunderclap and the gang watched on as the mass began to levitate before taking shape. It formed a long, tattered, black cloak with long sleeves that gradates into a dark purple color from the waist down. It has a long-pointed hood, and from it sprouted wispy tentacles, and from the cuffs formed larger clawed hands. And lastly, it formed red eyes with three black lines underneath both eyes, and a glowing red mouth that formed a ground, its overall expression resembling a mix of dread and sorrow.
Thunderclap and his friends looked at the new creature with shock, but then he looks at Poneros. “So, you've been sending those things after me.”
“Correct you are my boy.” Poneros replied with a shrug. “ Ain't I a stinker? Oh, and before I take my leave…”
Poneros snapped his fingers, making the crown on Twilight's head vanish before it reappeared in Poneros’s. He then looks to Sunset Shimmer before tossing the crown towards her.
“Shit!” Thunderclap muttered in shock.
“Have fun.” Poneros said before vanishing in a cloud of black mist.
“Not sure who that guy was, but glad he showed up.” Sunset said with a wicked grin. “At last! More power than I could ever imagine!”
Sunset placed the crown on her head, but then suddenly she got surrounded by glowing teal energy rings and a beam of dark energy erupted from her as she hovered into the air.
Everyone watched in shock and terror as Sunset had changed into something more demonic. Her eyes had black sclerae with moderate cyan pupils, her hair was raised upwards to look like a flame, her skin was now a brilliant crimson.
She now wore a jagged red and yellow dress with a jagged black belt, a long red and yellow tail, a pair of black and red demonic wings, her ears were longer and pointed and her boots were black with red trims.
“Laugh while you still can, bitch!” Thunderclap declared, but unfortunately the Omnitrix beeped. And in a bright red flash, Thunderclap changed back into Tristen.
“Oh, for Christ’s sake, are you freaking kidding me?!” Tristen's declared out of frustration.
It only got worse as the phantom-like figure then released a mighty scream, sending red sound waves at Tristen. The attack sent him crashing against the school doors.
And to make matters even worse, Sunset used her newfound power to transform Snips and Snails into their demonic forms as well.
The many students screamed in terror, and Sunset took notice of the panicked crowd as she and her two underlings advanced them. “I've had to jump through so many hoops tonight just to get my hands on this crown, and it really should have been mine all along.”
“Yeah, only in your damned dreams!” Tristen basked back, earning a smear from the girl.
But Sunset regained her composure. “But let's let bygones be bygones.” Sunset continued. “I am your princess now, and you will be loyal... to me!” Sunset then uses her powers to telepathically rip a huge chunk from the school and move it aside.
As the crowd ran from her, Sunset began to use her powers to fully control the minds of everyone. Rendering them all her zombified slaves.
Sunset Shimmer turns to Snips and Snails. “Round them up and bring them to the portal.” Snips and Snails loyally saluted.
She then took notice of Twilight. “Spoiler alert: I was bluffing when I said I was going to destroy the portal.” Sunset explained her true motivations. “I don't want to rule this pathetic little high school; I want Equestria! And with my own little teenage army behind me, I am going to get it!”
"Never gonna happen!”
Sunset turned to see Tristen standing defiantly.
"Well, well. Haven't had enough, eh?" Sunset taunted, "Face it. You and your little posse lost." Her hands began glowing in a teal aura as Tristen stood his ground against the demonic girl. "As far as I see, I won!"
"If you think I'm scared of you, then you are out of your damn mind!” Tristen replied as he dialed up the Omnitrix.
"You really think that watch will save you?" Sunset asked with a smirk. “Whatever transformation you choose, it won't help.”
Tristen however had a smirk of his own. "Only one way to find out!” Tristen then tapped the Omnitrix’s screen to trigger the transformation.
Tristen's body began to morph again, with his skin turning a mix of blue, gray and purple. His neck extended in length as the underside emits a bright green glow, his torso began to get bulkier with muscle, his arms extended and became thicker with the underside of his forearms having glowing green latch, his legs becoming stumpy and more reptilian with his feet gaining two toes on the front and a third protruding from the heel.
His shoulders gained three glowing green patches, he had a tail growing from his tailbone, and his head became more reptilian. His chin extended in length; a large horn emerged from his forehead while he grew blue plates that trailed along his back. And of course, the Omnitrix insignia appeared on the center of his chest.
And to finish the transformation, he grew to a staggering 50 feet in height. With the transformation complete, he roared out his new name:
“Big Bang!”
Twilight and her friends were astonished, Snips and Snails were shocked and a little scared, but Sunset didn't seem intimidated in the slightest.
“Awesome!” Rainbow spoke in amazement.
“Oh… my…” Fluttershy muttered out upon seeing the size of Tristen’s new alien.
"Well, I will admit. That is an impressive display," Sunset noted, "Not that it makes you look any better."
"This coming from the queen bitch who could break a mirror just by looking at it.” Big Bang quipped with a smirk. Twilight and her friends giggled at the clever remark while Sunset growled at him.
"That does it!" Sunset roared out in fury before firing an energy blast at Big Bang, only for the attack to bounce right off of him. “WHAT?!”
Big Bang smirked. “That actually kinda tickled.” Big Bang then raised up his right fist, the appendage expanding a few sizes. “Now here comes the wind up!”
Big Bang went to punch Sunset, but the girl was quick enough to evade the attack. But due to the increased weight of his newly inflated arm, this caused Big Bang to lose his footing and fall over with a loud thud.
Sunset laughed at the display. “For someone so big, you really are incredibly slow!”
The specter hovered to Big Bang before releasing another deafening scream that caused everyone present to cover their ears.
“Man… that's loud!” Rainbow grunted in pain.
Big Bang growled before opening his mouth, firing a blast of green energy at the ghostly screamer. Not only stopping its thunderous scream, but also making it crash to the ground.
“That thing is really giving me a headache.” Big Bang declared before getting back up, his expanded arm reverting back to its original size. “I can do this all night, Sunset!” Big Bang turns to Sunset.
"Oh please!" Sunset replied, "What exactly do you and Twilight think you're going to do to stop me? I have magic, and you have nothing!”
"They have us!" Rainbow Dash stated as she and the other girls stood up with Twilight.
Twilight smiled with a newfound confidence while Big Bang smiled at seeing the fond display.
Sunset just growled as the girls ran to Twilight, but then she started laughing. "Gee, the gang really is all back together again!" she said, wiping away a tear. "Now step aside!” Sunset began to form a fireball in her hands. "Twilight has tried to interfere with my plans one too many times already! She needs to be dealt with!"
And with that, Sunset throws the giant fireball right towards Twilight. But luckily, Big Bang stood in front of Twilight and crouched, crossing his arms to shield her and the others from the attack.
Sunset growled in frustration as a result. “You really are getting on my nerves, you know that?!”
“Back at ya, twink!” Big Bang shot back.
“Uh, guys…” Fluttershy stuttered in terror while pointing upward.
Big Bang looks up to see the specter hovering in the air, its body sparked with violet colored electricity.
“That doesn't look good.” Applejack said in shock.
Poneros chuckled as he watched the fight through his crystal ball. “As fun as this whole shindig was, every party must come to an end eventually.”
Poneros then raised up his right hand. “But fret not, children.” Poneros said. “I’ve prepared the greatest grand finale that will literally blow you away.” And with that, Poneros snapped his fingers.
The specter emits yet another scream, this one being louder than the previous one. But shortly afterwards, it flew higher up into the sky, its body being to expand and contract simultaneously, like something was building up inside of its body and was desperate to be released.
“What in Celestia’s name…?” Twilight uttered as Spike hid behind her leg.
And moments later, a blast of deep red energy was fired from the robe, which was now empty and began to disintegrate. Everyone watches in shock as the attack strikes the ground right between Sunset and Twilight’s gang.
And for a few moments, nothing seemed to happen. But the ground suddenly began to shake, and Spike whimpered in fear as he cowered behind Twilight.
And shortly after, a massive burst of deep red energy riddled with faces of pure terror, releasing a cacophony of horrific screams so loud that it practically broke every window in every building in close range. Everyone present had to cover their ears due to how deafeningly loud the noise was, and even then, they could still hear it.
The attack was not only loud, but it also created a power shockwave that sent Sunset flying into school while also making Big Bang stumble backwards. Luckily though, the reptilian giant managed to regain his footing in order to avoid accidentally stepping on his friends and breaking the portal.
Moments later, the noise finally stopped as the energy burst dissipated.
“Ugh… my ears…” Pinkie groaned in pain as she rubbed her ears.
Rarity rubbed her temples to ward off the ensuing headache. “I'm… going to need an aspirin after that.”
Sunset, growling in rage, flew back up and glared at Big Bang. “I have had enough of this!” Sunset fired an intense laser blast towards the colossal reptile. But suddenly, and out of seemingly nowhere, Big Bang was
and was covered by a magical pink aura. And it wasn't just him, but Twilight and the others were shielded too. "What?!"
Big Bang had a huge grin. "Nice save.” Big Bag then looks down to see the Omnitrix symbol emitting a multicolored glow. "What the…?”
Twilight smiled as she realized what was happening with the magical barrier. "The magic contained in my element was able to unite with those that helped create it!" Twilight stated as the crown released an aura upon Tristen and the girls. “Honesty! Kindness! Laughter! Generosity! Loyalty! Magic!”
As this happened, the girls flew upwards, each one developing growing pony ears, and ponytails. Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy also sported a pair of wings that matched their respective skin colors.
Meanwhile, Big Bang's body was suddenly enveloped in a multicolored aura, as multiple parts of his body began to change color. His chest became light purple, the back of his neck was bright orange, his biceps turned bright cyan while his forearms turned bright yellow, his legs turned bright pink, and the rest of his body turned to an alabaster white. The horn on his head was the only part of his body that changed physically, turning into a spiraling horn like that of a unicorn.
“Together with a crown, they create a power beyond anything you could imagine, but it is a power you don't have the ability to control!” Twilight declared in pride while Sunset backed up a bit in terror. “The crown may be upon your head, Sunset Shimmer, but you cannot wield it, because you do not possess the most powerful magic of all: the magic of friendship!”
And with that, the girls sent out a ray of light shaped like a rainbow down towards Sunset.
The demonic girl screamed out as the rainbow swirled around her, "What, is, happening?".
"Here, and in Equestria, it is the only magic that can truly unite us all!" Twilight started as the rainbow tornado suddenly shot out beams of rainbows, going through each of the teens, knocking them out of Sunset's mind control. The rainbows also swirled around the demonic pair of Snips and Snails as well.
"You've officially been dethroned, Sunset!” Big Bang said before his throat began to glow a bright green glow before firing a powerful green energy blast into the tornado. The combo attack caused a powerful explosion of light that spread over the entire school.
As the light vanished, the students walked out of the destroyed opening of the school, watching as Big Bang released a road of victory.
A beeping sound was heard as the Kaiju-like alien was enveloped in a red flash, indicating that he had turned into Tristen.
Once Tristen was back to normal, he wiped the sweat off his forehead. "Man, now that was one hell of a rush."
But he was suddenly held tightly by a pair of arms. He turned his head to see Pinkie hugging him with near impossible strength.
"You. Are. So. AMAZING!" Pinkie screamed with a jump.
“Amazing? More like totally awesome!” Rainbow added.
Tristen blushed bashfully at the praise, but then he looks to see a massive crater on the ground where demon Sunset once stood.
“Oooh…” Tristen winced at the sight. “Uh... I hope the faculty have the insurance to cover this.”
Tristen then looked into the crater, and he saw that Sunset was back to normal. And the girl crying.
“You will never rule in Equestria.” Twilight declared. “Any power you may have had in this world is gone. Tonight, you've shown everyone who you really are.” As Twilight said, many other students arrived. "You've shown them what is in your heart.”
Sunset looked to Twilight, tears fresh on her eyes. “I-I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.” Sunset said, sniffling. “I didn't know there was another way.”
Upon seeing Sunset in such a state, it was hard for Tristen to keep a stern expression. Sure, she did some terrible things, but he couldn't help but sympathize with her.
"The Magic of Friendship doesn't just exist in Equestria...it's everywhere." Twilight turns to see her friends, and Tristen smiles at Twilight. "You can seek it out, or you can forever be alone.” Twilight looks back to Sunset, who claimed up the crater. “The choice is yours.”
Sunset wiped her tears away. “But... But all I've ever done since being here is drive everyone apart.” Sunset replied. “I don't know the first thing about friendship.”
Tristen walks to Sunset and kneels to her. Sunset looks up at him, surprised to see a soft smile on his face. “Well, it's never too late to learn.” Tristen extends a hand to her, much to her surprise. “Besides, I've hardly had many friends where I’m from too.”
Tristen then looks at the girls. “But that all changed the moment I came here.” Tristen gestured to the girls, who smiled at Tristen. “I may not know much about friendship, but I'm willing to help you out. And I'm sure they are too.”
Sunset was surprised by this. In spite of all she's done to him and Twilight, he was acting so nice to her. “Why?” Sunset tasked, earning a confused look from Tristen. “Why are you suddenly so nice to me? After how nasty I've been to you and Twilight?”
Tristen smiled again. “Because I’m a guy who believes in second chances.” Tristen replied. “Yes, you've done some really questionable things, and yes the road ahead isn't going to be easy, but I'm sure you can work on bettering yourself.”
Sunset was still surprised, but she suddenly wraps her arms around him and continued on crying. Tristen said nothing as he rubs Sunset's back while Twilight and friends watched on with a smile.
“That feller truly is something’, ain't he?” Applejack said, wiping a tear away.
“He sure is.” Spike said in agreement, making the other student sloka to him in surprise.
“Did that dog just talk?” A student asked in shock. “Woah! Weird!”
“Seriously?” Spike asked. “The talking dog the weird thing about all of this?”
Tristen snickered at Spike's retort. “He's got a point.”
"I, for one, think you're adorable." Rarity said, picking Spike up and petting him.
Principal Celestia approached Twilight with the crown in her hands, "I believe this...belongs to you." Twilight knelt down in front of her. "A true princess in any world leads, not by forcing others to bow before her, but by inspiring others to stand with her. We've all seen you're capable of doing just that, I hope you see it too...Princess Twilight."
Twilight smiled, "I do."
Everyone cheered for the girls and I as Twilight stood back up.
"Would now be a completely awkward time to ask you for that dance?" Flash asked her with a hopeful smile.
Twilight nervously accepted and we all went back to the Fall Formal and celebrated.
Rainbow flew around with an orange skinned, purple haired girl as Twilight was dancing like she had four legs. Flash decided to join her, and they looked like they had a lot of fun.
Even Tristen was enjoying the party as he was breakdancing like there was no tomorrow, and many students cheered him on.
Just then, a girl photographer came in to take our picture. Twilight, Tristen, and their newfound friends gathered to lose for the picture.
The time had come for Twilight and Spike to return home, and the rest of the gang were bidding their goodbyes.
"You'll look out for her, won't you?" Twilight asked us, talking about Sunset.
Tristen looks over to Sunset, who was in the process of fixing the damages with Snips and Snails.
"Of course we will.” Rarity replied. "Though I expect some sort of apology for last spring's debacle."
"I have a feeling she'll be handing out a lot of apologies." Twilight responded as Luna hands Sunset a brick spatula as Snips and Snails pushed a wheelbarrow full of bricks.
"We'd better get going." Spike suggested.
Twilight nodded, looking at her new friends. "I know we've only met for a short time, but I'm gonna miss you all so much." She then looks at Tristen. “And thank you for all your help, Tristen."
Tristen smiled, tears streaming down his face as he hugged Twilight. “Don't mention it.” Tristen released her, wiping away his tears. “You take care of yourself, Twi."
Twilight nods in reply, takes a breath and walks back to the base of the statue with Spike following her.
"That crown really does suit you, Princess Twilight." Spike said as he winked.
"You know what, Spike? I am feeling a bit more comfortable wearing it." Twilight said.
"And the wings?" Spike asked.
"I've been walking around on two legs and picking things up with these!" Twilight raises her hands to emphasize her point. "Wings? I'm thrilled that's all I'll be dealing with back in Equestria!"
The two walked through the portal just as the moon reached its peak in the sky, and the girls reverted back to their normal selves shortly afterwards.
Pinkie rushed to the portal intent to go after Twilight, but face-planted into the surface. "Ohh, bummer!"
“Don't worry, Pinkster.” Tristen said with a chuckle. “I've got a feeling we'll see her again.”
“And speaking which, I don't think we've seen the last of that Poneros fellow either." Cortana added.
“If he does show up again, we'll be ready for him!” Rainbow declared.
Tristen looks over at Sunset, feeling bad for the girl. With a sigh, he walks over to her direction while the others look on in surprise.
Sunset was in the process of setting up some bricks, but a brick was close to falling on her head. Lucky however, a hand catches it before it could strike her.
Sunset looks to Tristen, who positions the brick back in place while holding a bucket. “Figured you could use a hand.”
Sunset was taken by surprise by the kind gesture and was blushing a little. “Thanks… but I-I…” Sunset was cut off by Tristen placing a hand on her shoulder.
The two shared a smile, and Tristen commenced in helping his now former enemy. The other girls watched on with smiles of their own.
Adventure at Canterlot High
Tristen was visiting the mall's instrument to do some browsing around, and he was currently playing a mandolin while singing a song he remembers from his world.
♫Bravely bold Sir Robin
Rode forth from Camelot.
He was not afraid to die,
Oh brave Sir Robin.
He was not at all afraid
To be killed in nasty ways.
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir Robin.
He was not in the least bit scared
To be mashed into a pulp.
Or to have his eyes gouged out,
And his elbows broken.
To have his kneecaps split
And his body burned away,
And his limbs all hacked and mangled
Brave Sir Robin.
His head smashed in
And his heart cut out
And his liver removed
And his bowls unplugged
And his nostrils raped
And his bottom burnt off
And his penis-♫
Tristen stops his tune upon hearing a chuckle, making him look over to see Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow.
Rainbow, Applejack, and Rarity were doing their best from laughing, but Pinkie was just busting a gut.
“Hey there ladies.” Tristen rests the mandolin in his lap. “What brings you guys here?”
“We're here so Rainbow Dash can get a new guitar.” Rarity said before looking over at the aforementioned rainbow haired girl. “Though, I simply don't understand why you can't just play the guitar you have.” Rainbow answered that by opening up her guitar case to reveal her damaged guitar.
“Oh. That's why.” Tristen replied.
“So, whatcha doin here anyway?” Applejack asked Tristen. “Never knew you were a music lover.”
Tristen smiled. “I jam out every now and then. Plus, this place is a good way to just unwind and get away from the noise at school, ya know?”
“Makes sense.” Rainbow replied.
“How about this one?” Pinke asked holding a purple striped guitar.
“No.” Rainbow replied as Pinkie said, holding a banjo.
“No.” Rainbow replied again as Pinkie then brought up a tuba.
“That's not even a stringed instrument.” Tristen said with a deadpan look before looking at Rainbow. “Any idea on what you're looking for in particular?”
“That's the problem! I need something that looks as awesome as I'm gonna make it sound.” Rainbow replied in a somewhat boastful manner.
“I see.” Tristen nods in understanding. “So you're looking for one of the flashier kinds.”
Rainbow Dash looks around, hoping to find the guitar to suit her needs. But when it didn't take long for her to find a guitar that fits the bill.
Rainbow was about to grab the instrument, but someone else also had their eyes on the instrument.
It was a girl with a light grayish cornflower blue complexion, moderate purple eyes, and hair that cornflower blue with very pale cornflower blue streaks. As for what she wore, she wore an azure zip up hoodie with a star on both sleeve, a purple skirt a turquoise swirl and a small yellow star, deep cornflower blue knee high socks, a pair of purple and azure platform shoes with turquoise straps, and a yellow and purple star hair clip.
This was Trixie Lulamoon, a student of Canterlot High who is both a magician and even more egotistical than Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow and Trixie glare at one another as they both hold onto the instrument. “Hands off my guitar, Trixie!”
“I touched it first, Rainbow Dash!” Trixie declared.
Tristen groaned and rolled his eyes in response to this. “And just like that, my day of peace is officially ruined.”
Trixie noticed Tristen, her glare intensified. “Oh great. You're here too.”
“How's it hangin’ bitch?” Tristen asked flatly. “I'd say it's nice to see you, but I would be lying out of my ass?”
Applejack looks at Tristen in a surprised manner. “You’ve met Trixie?”
“Unfortunately, yes.” Tristen replied with a sigh. “One mishap at Sugarcube Corner resulted in a screaming match from this banshee.” Tristen looks back at Trixie. “What are you even doing here, Lulanoon? Shouldn't you be boring kids to tears with your shitty magic shows?”
Trixie growled in response to the insult, but she managed to keep her cool. “If you must know, I'm here to purchase an instrument for the upcoming musical showcase.” Trixie returns her attention to Rainbow. “And I was about to do just that when a certain Rainbow Dash here swooped in.”
“Sounds to me like this is a makin' for a nice, friendly competition.” Applejack chimed in.
The word “competition” suddenly gave Rainbow an idea. “All right! Let's see who plays best!”
Trixie had a smirk, indicating she was game. “A shred-off?”
“Shred on.” Rainbow declared.
Pinkie handed Rainbow a guitar as Trixie grabbed her own, and moments later, both stunned with absolute skill in an attempt to outplay the other. As this occurred, Rainbow suddenly gain her pony ears, her wings, and her longer ponytail just like at the Fall Formal.
Tristen smirked while Trixie was absolutely shocked at this. And with a few riffs, Rainbow managed to beat Trixie in by sending a blast of rainbow color sound waves.
“Talk about “blown away”.” Tristen said, impressed with the display.
"Check me out!" Rainbow said as the store clerk hands Rainbow the double-necked guitar. But Rainbow hesitates as she looked at the one she was playing, which was now tricked out probably due to her residual magic, "Uhh...she can have it.” Rainbow said to Trixie before looking to her guitar. “I think this is the one that really speaks to me.”
Trixie was shocked at first, but she smiled victoriously as she grabbed the double-necked guitar from the store clerk. "The Great and Powerful Trixie always wins in the end!!"
“I wouldn't say that, Lulanoon.” Tristen replied, earning Trixie’s attention. “I think your big win just became your big loss. May wanna check the price tag.”
Trixie furrowed an eyebrow as she did so. And her eyes practically bugged out of her head when she saw the hefty price. “Twelve-thousand dollars?! You'll pay for this, Rainbow Dash!”
“No, silly!” Pinkie replied. “If you want it, you have to pay for it!"
“My advice, Trixie?” Tristen said as he put up the mandolin he was stunning. “Stick with your lame ass magic shows.” Tristen makes his way out of the store while Trixie growls angrily at him.

Omake 2: Release the Hamsters
Fluttershy was guiding Rarity and Tristen she works at. ”Thanks for coming.” Flutteshy said. “The rescue center needs all the help it can get.”
“Oh, but of course, darling.” Rarity replied, petting a little puppy and kitten. “Helping cute little puppies and kitties will never go out of style.”
“Besides, I happen to be an animal enthusiast myself.” Tristen reied as a parrot perched itself on his right shoulder, petting the bird. “It only felt natural to help the like-minded. I've had quite a few pets in my lifetime. Mostly bugs like tarantulas, scorpions, hermit crabs, millipedes, and even a few ant farms.”
Rarity was a bit unsettled by that while Fluttershy was intrigued. “Really?” Fluttershy asked
“I love animals in general, but I'm quite a big lover in particular.” Tristen replied with a shrug while having the parrot perch on his fore arm.
“But I've also had a few other pets like parakeets, ferrets, dogs, and cats.”
Fluttershy was overjoyed to meet a fellow animal lover, but she composed herself. "Anyway, once a year, a lucky volunteer gets to clean the hamster habitat!”. Fluttershy said, leading both Rarity and Tristen to a large habitat. “I signed up for it months ago to see if I'd get it!”
Fluttershy opened one of the tunnel doors and called to the hamsters. "Housecleaning~!"
And suddenly, Fluttershy called for the hamsters to come out. And there were plenty of them.
Rarity was a bit nervous by the sight of them. “Uh, Fluttershy, darling,” Rarity stuttered, “aren't hamsters, uh, rodents?”
“They sure are.” Fluttershy replied. “But they're cute and cuddly like bunnies.”
“Don't tell me you're creeped out by these adorable little guys.” Tristen teased Rarity while gesturing to the hamsters. “They're not sewer rats or anything.”
“Okay, everyhamster,” Fluttershy began, “follow Rarity and Tristen into the next room.”
"Actually, why don't I help out?" Tristen offered, reaching for his Omnitrix. "I've got an alien that can get the job done in less than a minute, give or take.”
Upon finding the alien he wanted, he tapped the Omnitrix screen and was enveloped in a green flash while Rarity and Fluttershy watched on in surprise.
Tristen’s skin had changed too a deep shade of red with white splotches scattered across his body. His eyes became larger and almond shaped with black rings, yellow sclerae, red irises, and slanted pupils. He grew up to two feet as his body became a bit more muscular, his hands becomes four-fingered claws, a pair of curved horns protruded from the top of his head, and his legs became more digitigrade in structure with two clawed toes that resemble cloven hooves, and from his tailbone emerged a long tail with an arrowhead tip and two spikes on the base.
As for his attire, he has a black and red tracksuit, a red ascot around his neck, and black fingerless gloves with red wristbands. And of course, he had the Omnitrix symbol on the center of his chest. When the transformation was complete, Tristen cried out his new alias:
“Speed Demon!”
Fluttershy and Rarity were stunned and amazed at the new transformation.
“Alright, this shouldn't take long.” Speed Demon said as he grabbed a bucket and sponge, and he and Fluttershy walked in.
And after soaking the sponge in the water bucket, Speed Demon commenced to the habitat at near impossible speed while also being careful to not damage anything.
Just as Tristen predicted, the process took less than a minute. Once the habitat was clean, Speed Demon pressed the Omnitrix symbol and reverted back to Tristen.
Fluttershy was impressed at how fast it went by. “Wow.” Fluttershy muttered as she observed the newly cleaned hamster habitat. “That was amazing.”
Suddenly, the sound pounding glass caught their attention. They look over to see Rarity was pounding on the window, and she seemed a bit stressed.
Fluttershy and Tristen step out, and they were shocked to see the hamsters were not only fully clothed, but they were on a rampage.
“Rarity, what happened?!” Flutteshy asked.
“Oh! Aah! Well, uh,”
“Carl Pettington's coat just begged to be accessorized,”
but Emilia Furhart refused to be left out and got Curtis Pawpower to chew right through Carl's little scarf, and before I knew it, I had a habitat-wide feud on my hands!”
“Hold the hell up!” Tristen said, rubbing his temples. “You dolled them up? May I ask why?!”
“Ladies and gentlehamsters, please!” Fluttershy called dout, luckily managing to stop the chaos the hamsters caused. “Now, I know you're all upset, but why don't we head back into the habitat and talk it over?”
Carl Pettington goes to smooch Emilia Furhart, only for the female hamster to tear his uniform as the other hamsters continue their rampage. Rarity pride her her bag and chased after a brown hamster wearing a scarf. Tristen dialed up his Omnitrix again and transformed into Carbon Copy before splitting himself up into multiple swarms of his nanomachines to chase after a few hamsters.
As Fluttershy emptied her bag to follow Rarity’s league, a tambourine fell out and landed on the floor. And as soon as it hits the floor, a bunch of hamsters seemed to be in a trance.
Upon realizing this, Fluttershy grabs the tambourine and beats its making all hamsters present become hypnotized to her rhythm. As this occurred, Fluttershy had gained her pony ears, wings, and longer ponytail like Rainbow Dash did at the Shred-Off against Trixie.
And once all the hamsters were back in their habitat, Fluttershy closed the door.
"Huh! I never would've guessed that hamsters could be so touchy about fashion!" Rarity commented.
“That's because they're not dress up dolls!”
Fluttershy and Rarity look to see Carbon Copy reassemble himself before changing back to Tristen.
“Tristen?” Rarity asked in surprise. “Wait. What did you-”
“Carbon Copy is made up of millions of nanomachines acting as one.” Tristen explained. “Not only does this allow him to shapeshift, but he can also split himself up into the many nanobots that make up his body.”
Fluttershy was amazed by the detail. “You mean he’s a colonial organism?”
Tristen nods his head. “Anyhow, what's say we grab a bite to eat?””
As they walked out, the big hamster that Rarity managed to scoop up stuck his head out and snapped his fingers.
Adventure at Canterlot High
Omake 3: Little Drummer Pie
In the cafeteria, Pinkie Pie was helping Granny Smith, the school’s lunch lady, in baking cookies. Pinkie was mixing a bowl while Rainbow stood by.
“Come on, Pinkie. You're s'posed to help me find a drummer for my band.” Rainbow said.
“I guess I could fold a little faster.” Pinkie said as she managed to grab two spoons and started mixing two bowls simultaneously. But eventually, she managed to make a mess of things, coating her and Rainbow Dash in dough much to the latter’s unamusement.
Out on the soccer field, Rainbow and Pinkie were working on a banner.
“Now, it's important that our banner look awesome!” Rainbow said to Pinkie “So feel free to use as much glitter as you want.” Pinkie grabs a large tub of glitter. “A drummer can't just be anybody. They need to have the right instincts, you know?”
As Rainbow said this, Pinkie was drumming the tub of glitter she held like it was a bongo, making the pink girl inadvertently coat Rainbow in purple glitter.
It was lunchtime, and the crew had met up as Rainbow Dash explained about what she was looking for a drummer while Pinkie was drumming her tray absentmindedly.
Tristen saw this, and an idea came to mind. “Actually Rainbow-”
“It's gotta be someone with a lot of energy. “I mean, a lot! Energy, enthusiasm.”
“Rainbow…” Tristen said to get Rainbow Dash’s attention, but again, he was ignored.
“They have to be able to carry the whole band on their shoulders!” Rainbow continued ranting.
“Rainbow!” Tristen called out again, this time actually grabbing her attention.
Rainbow noticed Pinkie drums her silverware on Tristen's head, and was about to tell Pinkie to knock it off, but she saw Tirsten smirk at her while pointing his thumb towards Pinkie.
Rainbow then realized that she may have found the drummer she was looking for.
In the music room, Pinkie Pie was pounding energetically at a drum kit while the others watch on in awe. And during this, Pinkie gained her pony ears and long pony tail.
“Whoa!” Applejack murmured in amazement.
“Keith Moon, eat your heart out.” Tristen muttered out as Pinkie finished her solo by crashing the cymbals.
“Whatever made you think of Pinkie for the drums?” Rarity asked Rarity.
“Actually, it was Tristen’s ideam” Rainbow Dash said, patting Tristen’s back. “Guess you have a sense for these things.”
Tristen shrugs his shoulders. “Who knows?”
Adventure at Canterlot High
Omake 4: Walking on Razor Blades
Tristen was seated out in the courtyard, tapping the end of a pencil against his head while overlooking a blank page in a notebook.
“Hey.”
Tristen looks up to see Sunset Shimmer standing before him.
“Hey,.Sunset.” Tristen greeted as Sunset sits beside him. “What brings you here?”
“I saw you sitting by yourself.” Sunset replied. “Plus, you look like you could use some help.”
“Yeah, I do actually.” Tristen replied with a nod. “I'm trying to form a band for the musical showcase.” Tristen sighed out a bit in frustration. “But the people I've tried to recruit are already in bands of their own.”
Sunset silently nods her head. But as Tristen looked at Sunset, he then had an idea. ‘Wait. ’ “Hey Sunset?” Sunset gives him her attention. “If you're not already taken, would you be willing to be my partner?”
Sunset was surprised at what she had heard from her now former rival. “Me?” Sunset asked. “Oh, uh… I don't know I-I… I…”
The conversation was cut short when they heard police sirens. The two look ahead to see a black cargo van speeding off while two police cars are chasing after it.
Tristen’s phone then buzzed off, making him pull it out and see an Amber alert.
Amber Alert
Amber Alert. Suspect vehicle 2008 black Bison Road Hog, with APL plate. Call 911.
“2008 Bison Road Hog?” Sunset asked, but studenly gasped out in realization. “That was the cargo van we just saw!”
Tristen gets up and readied his Omnitrix. Once he saw the alien he needed for the job, he pressed the screen and was enveloped in a green flash.
In the cargo van, the driver was trying his best to shake the cops off of his tail. In the back was a girl who was tied up and gagged while another crooks sat next to her.
The captive was with light heliotropeish gray skin, light cerulean eyes and hair that was light grayish violet with white streaks. She wore a yellow open jacket with a black undershirt, a grey skirt with black leggings underneath, and yellow boots.
The driver took a sharp u-turn, and the squad card that chased crossed against a nearby trailer truck.
The driver smirked, but his smirk turned into a look of shock upon seeing something coming at him. It looked like a large buzzsaw blade, and it was coming for him. And before the driver could avoid it, the blade dashed into the vehicle, splitting it right down the middle. Both split halves of the vehicle fell and skidd across the pavement.
The buzzsaw blade approached the now split vehicle before stopping to reveal what it truly was. A robotic centaur that was a mix of red, gray, and brinze yellow with various blades protruding from its body, orange pupilless eyes, and the ever iconic Omnitrix symbol visible on its chest.
The robot centaur looks to the captive girl, who was shocked at seeing him. With a single swipe of his blades arms, he cuts the binds that held the girl, making her remove her gag and run off. He then turns his attentions to the two kidnappers.
“What… what just happened?” The first kidnapper asked, looking at the split car.
The other noticed the centaur. “More importantly… What the fresh hell is that thing?!”
The centaur smirked. “Kidnapping kids, that's just something I don't let fly!” The cauntaur said. “And you may call me, Saw Horse!”
The second crook brought up a baseball bat and charged at Saw Horse, only for him to hack the wooden weapon to pieces with his arms before aiming his right blade arm at the crook, who just raised his and sup in surrender. And with that, Saw Horse turned around and kicked him to the ground, knocking his lights out.
The first was about to run off, but he was knocked down to the ground and knocked out cold by a swift kick from Sunset Shimmer.
The two crooks were handcuffed by the police.
“I'm telling you! A four-legged guy with razor blades came up and split our ride in two like a watermelon!”
"Tell it to the judge.” The officer said as he puts the crook in the back of the squad card.
"I swear to God!" The crook said, but the officer was not believing him as he shuts the door.
Nearby, Sunset and Tristen watched on with smiles.
“Gotta admit, you know what you're doing with that thing.” Sunset said to Tristen with an increased smile. Tristen shrugs his shoulders in response.
(Later)
After busting the two kidnappers, Sunset and Tristen met up back at CHS. Tristen was sketching the layout for his banner while Sunset watched.
“Hey Tristen?” Sunset asked, earning the boys attention. “About your offer…” Sunset took a deep breath before looking Tristen in the eye. “I'll gladly join.” Sunset looked down despondently. “Not like anyone else would accept my help.”
Tristen nods silently. “What about Rainbow and the others?” Tristen asked. “I’m sure they'd loved your assistance.”
“After what I side to them?” Sunset asked back. “I split them apart years ago.”
“And yet they're helping you in redeeming yourself.” Tristen shot back. “Sunset, everyone makes mistakes. And yes, we can't do anything to fix what we've done in the last.” Tristen explained, a soft smile forming. “A wise man once said: the past can't be changed, but the future can depending on whatever choices people make.”
Sunset smiled at the advice she was given. “Thanks, Tristen.” Sunset said with a blush. Tristen pats her on the back in response.

Omake 5: Beauty and a Beat
Rarity was grunting as she struggled to move a piano to school, where she had somehow managed to move to the school to begin with.
“Come on, Rarity! You simply must get this piano for band practice!” Rarity grunted, panting heavily. “What kind of person doesn't put a piano on wheels?”
As she struggles to push the piano any further, she stops to take a breather. “Just look at me. I'm a mess.” Rarity began to think. “What I need is a bit more muscle.”
Rarity then spotted the muscle she was looking for, in the form of three gruff boys.
With a smile, she straightened up her hair and put her plan into notion. “Oh, boys!” Rarity called out, earning their attention. All it took was a flick of her hair and a bat of her eyes to get them head over heels.
“I simply cannot thank you enough.” Rarity said to the three boys, who were holding the piano. “And while I am a bit repulsed by your musky smell, I can appreciate that you're all diamonds in the rough.”
Suddenly, the three boys stopped to see a mass of students blocking their paths. They had no choice but to simply bulldoze their way through the crowd, all the while Rarity excuses herself.
(Meanwhile)
The gang, including Sunset and Tristen, were waiting for Rarity to arrive.
“Where is Rarity?!” Rainbow asked with impatience.
“That gal probably just wants to make some sort of grand entrance.” Applejack replied. And right on cue, Rarity had arrived with her three handymen. “Told ya.”
Tristen eyed Rarity’s choice of instrument. “Uh… Rares?” Tristen began, “I don't mean to sound rude and all, but why in the actual hell did you bring a piano?”
“Yeah.” Rainbow agreed. “Couldn't you have chosen a more portable instrument?”
“Heavens, no!” Rarity replied. “The grand piano is the most refined and elegant of instruments. With it, I will be able to express my full musicality.”
The sound of a timer however echoed throughout the room.
“Well, our time's up.” Rainbow declared. “I guess we'll have to move our practice to the gym.”
“Guess you're gonna express your "full musicality" clear across campus.” Rainbow said to a rather deflated Rarity.
“Or you could play this!”
“It's part guitar, part keyboard! It's a guitarkey!”
“You mean a keytar.” Sunset corrected.
“Po-tay-to, to-mah-to.” Pinkie replied carelessly.
“That's not how you… ugh! Nevermind.” Tristen muttered out
Rarity eyes the instrument and begins to play the keytar. As she did so, she managed to gain her pony ears and long tail.
Sunset was surprised by this while the others were amazed.
“Four times in a row.” Tristen said in surprise. “First Rainbow, athen Fluttershy, then Pinkie, and now Rarity too.”
Sunset pondered a bit. “Maybe there's some residual Equestrian magic still present.” Sunset postulated.
“How about ya take that keytar and move your tail to our next rehearsal space?” Applejack suggested to Rarity.
“Fine, fine.” Rarity said before looking back to the three boys. “I don't suppose…”
The boys were happy to oblige as they proceeded to lift the piano while Rarity played a keytar riff.

Omake 6: Deal or no deal?
At Applejack’s farm called Sweet Apple Acres, where she and her family live, Granny Smith was hosting a garage sale.
“Okay, Granny, one more time.” Tristen said to Granny Smith. “When ya accidentally sold my bass at the garage sale, who did ya sell it to?”
Granny Smith thought for a bit before answering. “I sold it to the owners of that new pawn shop. Uh, Flibbity Flabbity, somethin' like that.”
The gang had arrived at the lawn shop, and upon entering it, they were introduced with the owners of the shop.
“Welcome to the grand opening of the Flim Flam Brothers' Everything Under the Sun Emporium! If you want it… we've got it!”
“Need a pogo stick?” Flin asked.
“A bowling ball?” Asked Flam”
“A stuffed clown?”
“Whatever this is?”
“I'd like that bass.” Applejack said, pointing to an orange base guitar.
“I can give you this bass for a non-negotiable price of one thousand dollars.” Flim answered.
“One grand?!” Tristen asked in skepticism. “You guys only paid Granny Smith two bucks for it!”
“Yes, well, we have to cover our overhead and transportation costs.” Flim replied.
“Listen,” Applejack began, “Granny never should've sold my bass. I'll give ya the two dollars back and we'll call it even.” Her friends agreed on that. But the brothers however were not easy to sway.
“Likely story!” Both Flim and Flam said simultaneously in skepticism.
Tristen was losing his patience. “Look! You can say whatever you want, but this is her base! It even has her damn initials on the strap!” Tristen points to the guitar’s strap, where the initials “A.J.” were emblazoned.
The two brothers saw the initials, and began to come up with some excuse. “That could mean anything. It could stand for… Aardvark Junior!” Film replied, much to the ire of Tristen.
"Or Anvil Jokers." Flam added.
“Or "Animal Jane".” Flin replied.
Tristen glared venomously as he shook with anger. “You no good, mother-” Fluttershy placed a hand on his shoulder, managing to calm him down somewhat.
Flam got in Applejack's face. “Why, I'll bet you don't even play the bass, Applejack… if that is your real name.”
Tristen, having enough of this whole charade, grabs the guitars. “Only one way to find out!” Tristen hands the bass to Applejack.
And with that, Applejack began to play her bass, surprising the two brothers while the gang cheered her on. As this went on, just like with the previous girls, Applejack gains a pair of pony ears and a pony tail. Once that was over, the two brothers were finally convinced.
“That proof enough for you?” Tristen asked with a smug grin.
Flim and Flam looked at each other. “Perhaps this is her bass.” Flin said before regaining their composers. “But there are still the transportation costs and overhead.”
“Don't forget the stocking fees.” Flam added.
Tristen groaned and facepalms in disbelief
“Then again, I suppose we could make some sort of trade?” Flam said, and Applejack seemed hopeful. But little does she know about what the two brothers have in store.
“Come on down to the grand opening of the Flim Flam Brothers' Everything Under the Sun Emporium.” Applejack groaned out while she played her base.
Granny Smith walks up and notices Applejack. “Since when do you play the bass?”
Applejack just facepalms in response to the question.

Omake 7: Confronting my demons
Tristen was out for a run, checking his Omnitrix, which displayed a timer instead of the usual hourglass symbol.
“Doing good, Tristen.” Cortana spoke through the Omnitrix. “Doing real good.”
Tristen smiled while wiping the sweat from his brow. But then suddenly, he stops and spots Sunset walk towards the school.
“Tristen?” Cortana asked as she materialized on the Omnitrix. “What are you-” Cortana stops herself as she spots Sunset. “Isn't that Sunset?”
Tristen furrowed an eyebrow as he saw Sunset enter the building.
“Guess Two was a good influence on you.”
Sunset, out of surprise, turned to see Tristen. “Tristen… you startled me.” Sunset said, clutching her chest as she called down. “How… How long have you been there?”
“Long enough.” Tristen replied as Sunset landed, her phoenix wings vanishing. “Looks like you've got your Equestrian magic too.”
Sunset shrugs her shoulders. “I guess so.”
Tristen leans against the glass dome above the library, smiling softly. “I take it that you've officially turned over a new leaf?”
Sunset nods her head in affirmation. “Yes.” Replied Sunset. “Thanks to you and Twilight, and the other girls, I've managed to find the true meaning of friendship.”
Tristen blushed a bit, looking away bashfully. “Eheh… wow, way to make a guy flustered.”
Sunset giggled in response, but quickly looks away with a look of guilt. Tristen took notice of her change in mood. “You alright?”
Sunset looks to Tristen with pure sincerity. “Tristen, I know I've said this plenty of times but… I'm absolutely sorry for what I've caused you the day you came here.” Sunset looked away while rubbing her arm. “I know that-”
She was cut off by Tristen placing a hand on her shoulder, making her look at him. “And as I've said before,” said Tristen, “You're forgiven.”
Sunset would have said something, but she couldn't think of anything to say. Sunset then wrapped her arms around him in a warm embrace, which Tristen returned wholeheartedly.
After a few moments, the two separated. “So, I've managed to come up with a logo for our dust.” Tristen reached into his coat pocket, pulling out a folded sheet of paper before I folding it to reveal the logo. It was the familiar sun symbol that was Sunset Shimmer’s cutie mark, but it had the Omnitrix symbol in the center of it and a pair of wings on the sides.
“I know it's not very creative-” Tristen said, but Sunset grabs the sheet and smiles.
“It's perfect.” Sunset said with a smile. “Never knew you were an artist.”
Tristen blushed even more at the result. “Now you're just buttering me up.” Tristen said in a playful manner.

Omake 8: Three isn't always a charm
At the Canterlot Mall, at a local jewelry store, a trio of thugs were mugging the store of jewelry while many bystanders were cowering in fear for their lives.
As the leader of the three was stuffing jewelry in a bag, the mall cops had arrived.
The cops aimed their guns at the three crooks. “Freeze!”
The leader looked at the cops, but smiled wickedly. “I wouldn't try that!” One of the thugs walked up, holding a bat in one hand while holding a hostage in the other. The hostage was none other than Rarity.
“Unhand me, you brute!” Rarity demandes, surprisingly with no fear.
Realizing the cops had a situation on their hands, they were struggling to come up with a plan.
“That's right.” The leader said triumphantly before taking a few steps back. “Now if you'll excuse us, we've gotta-” The crook was cut off when he slips onto the floor, making his two goons watch on in surprise.
The leader groans out in slight pain. “What did I just… ” The goon looks down, seeing a puddle of blue slime. But when the slime grew a pair of teal eyes, he yells in shock as the slime took form.
The three crooks were surprised to see a blue gelatinous humanoid manifest before them. It was about as tall as an average human child with big teal eyes surrounded by black rings. It also wore the all too familiar Omnitrix symbol on his chest.
“Robbing a store is one thing, boys.” The humanoid said, “But when you take a friend as a hostage, that's when I get pissed!” The blob then launched a slime ball at the captor, the ball hitting him square in the face. Rarity runs to safety as the two other thugs gang him.
“Looks like we've got a runt playing hero, boy.” The leader with a smirk. But his smirk dropped when he saw the blob create two clones.
And it only got worse for him as the three blobs pressed the Omnitrix symbols, making them vanish in a blinding green flash. The three thugs watch on in shock as the three slime humanoids change into different figures. One had changed into Sunstone, while the remaining two had turned to two different forms.
One was a large, bulky, armored semi-humanoid generally resembling an iron maiden. His armor was a mix of deep seafoam green, cadet blue, and moderate gray with joints being light gray. He has spikes on his shoulder pads, a mask violet eyes piercing through the eye holes and three slits where a mouth is, and large black claws for fingers. And to top it off, he had the Omnitrix symbol on his forehead. This spooky looking alien was named:
“Fright Knight!”
The other was a tall and lanky humanoid with a pale green skin, forest green eyes, long arms with four fingers, root like feet, a series of small green tendrils on his chin that resembled a goalie, and a mushroom cap on his head that was a mix of brownish red, mustard yellow, and mossy green. He wore an open brown vest and baggy pants that were a mix of tan, caramel, and baja white, and he had the Omnitrix symbol on his chest. The name for this groovy shrooms is:
“Brain Fart!”
The three criminals and the bystanders were surprised at seeing the three new heroes.
“Now then boys. You've got two choices.” Sunstone declared. “Either you ditch the jewels and surrender willingly,” Sunstone’s hands glowed bright orange in color, “or things are gonna get mighty physical here.”
The crooks however were not gonna give up that easily as the crook wielding the bat ran at them. Sunstone however fired a blast of orange energy at the wooden weapon, making it burn to ashes almost instantly while also leaving the criminal defenseless.
Brain Fart stretched his right arm at the leader, grabbing the bag of jewels before tossing it at the cops.
The three crooks rushed towards the three aliens. Sunstone ran to the leader while Brain Fart and Fright Knight dealt with the two remaining criminals.
Sunstone was tussling with the leader, but he easily knocked his lights out by socking him square in the jaw. Fright Knight and the second crook were staring down one another, but then a black dog began to sleep through the three slits of Fright Knight’s mask.
The crook looked around as the black mist swirled around him. And suddenly, from the fog, he saw a swarm of hornets coming at him. He screamed out as he swats the hornets away. Well, the bystanders only saw him swatting at nothing while Fright Knight stood there.
The third criminal was hanging up Brain Fart, who seemed pretty calm. “You should mellow out, man.” Brian Fart said in a carefree manner with a smile. “I know I do.”
Suddenly, a cloud of sickly green exhausted from his mushroom cap and heads towards the criminal. The criminal coughs a bit, but moments later he begins to stumble in his steps.
“Whoa-my heads… oooh…” The criminal stuttered, his speech slurring as he began to see colors. Brain Fart smiled as the criminal fell on his knees while said criminal was lost in his own world.
With the threat apprehended, Sunstone looks at the cops. “All yours, officers.”
The mall cops look at each other, still perplexed before approaching to arrest the criminals.
Rarity smiled at the three with awe as she sent the footage of the fight to the others.
Outside, Rarity and Tristen met up with others, who were relieved to see that Rarity was unharmed.
“Thank goodness you're ok, Rarity.” Fluttershy said in relief.
“Man, Tristen! You really kicked their butts!” Rainbow gushed out in awe while Tristen rubbed his arm bashfully. “You really showed them what for.”
Tristen shrugged like his achievement was no big deal.
“It's a good thing you were there, Tristen.” Applejack said, patting his back in a congratulatory manner. “Otherwise things would have gotten pretty ugly.”
“I have a question.” Sunset said, earning Tristen’s attention. “And I may already know the answer to this, but that gas that Brain Fart emitted, that was psychedelic wasn't it?”
Tristen nods. “Psychedelic spores to be exact. About the same as eating magic mushrooms.”
“And what about Fright Knight?” Sunset asked. “What was that about?”
“Fright Knight emits what I like to call phobia fog.” Tristen explained. “It's hallucinogenic, only it makes the target experience hallucinations of their darkest fears.” The girls were surprised at what they heard.
Adventure at Canterlot High
Final Omake: Does not compute
In a crummy old apartment, a man was typing furiously at the keyboard of a laptop, smiling deviously.
Then, with a click of a button, he puts his nefarious plot into motion.
At the CHS school library, Tristen was reading a book while a student was using the school computers to work on a project.
But suddenly, the student saw an animated picture of a skull with arms sticking out its tongue. And the same thing happened with all of the other computers as well, much to the shock of the students using them.
Even the librarian was shocked to see this occur on her own computer.
Tristen looks at the computers, surprised at seeing this display.
“Oh boy.” Tristen said in shock.
(Later)
Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna were at the computer lab, surprised that the whole school had been hacked. Tristen and the gang arrived at the scene.
“Looks like the computers in the computer lab have been hacked as well.” Applejack said in concern.
“But who would do such a thing?” Fluttershy asked.
One of the students was checking on the situation. He was a boy with light grayish violet, black eyes obscure behind black framed glasses, and dark grayish sapphire blue hair with a lighter sheen. He wore a yellow turtleneck sweater with green cuffs and a green collar, khaki jeans with white suspenders, and blue and white sneakers with yellow shoelaces.
“Oh boy.” The bespectacled boy said in concern. “Yeah, that's not good.”
“What's the assessment, Micro Chips?” Celestia asked.
Micro Chips turns to face the principal. “We're dealing with a file-infecting virus.” Micro Chips replied. “These things overwrite orninseet infected code into executable files. As the name implies, overwrite viruses overwrite file content to infect entire folders, files, and programs.”
Luna and Celestia were absolutely concerned by this intel.
Tristen looks at his Omnitrix, a determined look visible. “Maybe we can give the hijacker a taste of his own medicine.”
Tristen activates the Omnitrix, cycled through his playlist, and ultimately spots the alien he's looking for. Then with a tap of the screen, he commenced the transformation.
His body was enveloped in a mass of millions upon millions of turquoise colored squares that strongly resemble pixels. Once his body was completely enveloped, the pixels took on the form of a muscular humanoid, celeste circuitry lines appeared on his body, and a pair of aquamarine colored eyes formed on his head. And the finishing touch was the Omnitrix symbol appearing on his chest. Once the transformation was complete, he yelled out his new name:
“Deus-X-Machina!”
The newly named Deus-X-Machina hovered towards a computer, extended his right hand to the computer monitor, and began to concentrate. The circuit lines on his body began to glow as the computer monitors began to glitch while everyone watched on in surprise.
The hacker kept chuckling, but suddenly gasped as he saw his laptop monitor begin to glitch uncontrollably.
“What the…” The hacker asked as he typed at his keyboard, panicking. “Shit! This can't be happening!”
The crew watched Deus-X-Machine work his magic, the screens eventually reverting back to normal.
As the hacker tried to remedy the problem he was currently facing, his computer screen began to go black with red coding appearing. Then suddenly it began to spark with turquoise electricity before the keyboard emits smoke and flames.
The hacker’s eyes went completely wide. “No! NO!”
And it got worse as the authorities burst through the door behind him, their guns aiming at him.
Deus-X-Machina dusted his hands before changing back to Tristen.
“Done. And done.” Tristen declared with a smile.
Micro Chips checked the computer systems, and was surprised to see no trades of the virus. It was as if it never even appeared.
“What did you do?” Pinkie Pie asked with a furrowed eyebrow.
“Not only did I erase all traces of the virus, but I showed him what happens when you play with fire by sending him a multipartite virus.” Tristen answered with a proud smile. “Needless to say, he better hope he can afford a new computer.”
The others were surprised by what he had heard.
“A multi-what now?” Rainbow asked.
“It's considered to be one of the most dangerous and destructive computer viruses, and can be difficult to detect and remove.” Micro Chips elaborated. “It combines traits of different malicious software types and can infiltrates a system through various attack route.”
Tristen shrugged with a smirk. “You know what they say. You mess with fire, you get burnt. And by fire, I mean made his computer overheat to the point of interoperability.”
The others were even more stunned now.
“You… you did all of that? Without even touching the keyboard?” Rarity asked in shock.
“As well as contacting the authorities.” Tristen said, further fueling the shock of everyone else. “Why else do you think he's called Deus-X-Machina?”
The Omnitrix displayed the image of Deus-X-Machina, who had winked while breaking the fourth wall.
