Chapters We have to start somewhere
It is a sunny day in Equestia, the Mane 6, Princess Celestia, and Princess Luna are enjoying a peaceful picnic just outside of Ponyville with a squad of Royal Guard, of course.
Pinkie Pie jumps on a big cake and starts devouring it.
(Well, as peaceful as it could be with Pinkie Pie around.)
Suddenly, screams of panic and fear come from Ponyville. Princess Celestia says, “What’s going on?”
A royal guard says, “We’ll see what the problem is. Your majesties stay here.” The Royal Guard goes to Ponyville.
When the Royal Guard gets there, they see a strange green and blue metal person.
(Wait a minute; we’re too far into the story. Let’s go back a little bit.).)
Still in the Halo universe, on the planet of Reach, after Master Chief destroyed the Halo, a fleet of Pelicans (transporters) of the new Spartan Platoon, the “Devil Dogs”, were going to one of the last Covenant loyalists’ bases.
The loyalists saw the Pelicans and their anti-air defenses and started to fire at them. The Pelicans immediately separated or got shot down.
Inside one of the Pelicans, a squad of 4 Spartans, codenamed Gear Squad (Sly, Firewalker, Silent Death, and Unit1), are watching the other Pelicans blow up or are looking for a safe place to land. The Spartan in red and orange smooth Mark 5 B armor (Firewalker) excitingly says, “Whoo! Look at all of those ships, they’re blowing up.”
The Spartan wearing black scary looking armor (Sly) says, “Those are our ships blowing up.”
Firewalker says, “I know but, explosions are awesome.”
A green and blue ODST Spartan, with a thick armor chest piece (HP/Halo) (Unit 1) says, “Sly, you know how much Firewalker loves explosions. Explosives are his specialty.”
Firewalker says, “I can’t wait to get on the ground and start blowing up Covies.”
The pilot says, “We’re reaching the LZ. You guys ready?”
Sly says, “The Infiltrator is ready.”
Unit 1 says, “I’m ready to kill these alien bastards.”
Firewalker pulls out his custom made revolver clip grenade launchers and says, “I’m ready to blow them up.” The Spartan in black and white Recon armor with an EVA helmet (Silent Death) gives the pilot a thumbs up.
The copilot says, “Hey, 4th guy, cat got your tongue?”
Unit 1 says, “Give Silent Death a break. He was born without a voice box.”
The pelican closes in on the space platform. The copilot starts counting down, “10, 9, 8, 7…” Meanwhile, the Gear squad gets ready to get out. “6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…” The Pelican lands on the platform. “0.”
The Gear Squad jumps out of the Pelican. The pilot on the radio says, “We’ll wait for you guys.” The copilot on the radio says, “Yeah, we’re staying here because we want to be your escape Pelican and we don’t want to move until the anti-air defenses are destroyed.”
Unit 1 says, “Ok, Let’s split up. Firewalker, you blow up all of the local AA guns.”
Firewalker says, “Those guns are as good as blown up.” Firewalker runs off.
Sly asks Unit 1, “Who put you in charge?”
Unit 1 says, “I won the rock, paper, scissors mini-tournament, remember.”
Sly says, “Oh yeah. I still don’t see how paper beats rock.”
Unit 1 says, “That paper won me temporary leadership of the Gear squad.”
Unit 1 sees 2 nearby structures (1 of them is a covenant warehouse and the other is a small UNSC building garrisoned by Covenant soldiers.)
Unit 1 says, “Guys, you see that warehouse over there.” He points to the warehouse and Sly and Silent Death turn around to see it. Sly says, “I see it.”
Silent Death turns to Unit 1 and nods his head. Unit 1 says, “Sly, you remove their funding and Silent Death, can you handle kicking the hive?”
Silent Death pulls out 2 magnums. Unit 1 says, “May your special condition of cross-eye, guide your bullets.”
Sly asks Unit 1, “What are you going to do?”
Unit 1 looks at the UNSC structure and says, “I’m going to play exterminator.”
The sounds of explosions can be heard in the background.
Unit 1 says, “Let’s not let Firewalker have all the fun.” The Gear squad splits up, Silent Death and Sly go to the Covenant Warehouse, and Unit 1 goes to the UNSC building.
When Unit 1 gets to the UNSC structure, he has his back to the wall and gets a special device from his dog tag chain. He presses the button on the device and it displays a hologram of a family (A tall and strong man, a pretty woman, 2 teenage boys, a preteen girl, and a short preteen boy) with a farm in the background. Unit 1 says softly, “It’s been 8 years but, Little Ricky is going to get rid of the evil aliens. It’s finally time for payback for what they did.” He turns off the device and the hologram disappears.
Unit 1 looks at the building and counts the floors, “1, 2, that’s it 2 floors?” He pulls out a grenade with a dial, turns the dial to 2 and the grenade grows slightly bigger. Unit 1 finds a window and throws the grenade in it. Unit 1 falls back a couple of feet. The second floor blows up and then a few seconds later, the first floor blows up. The building is still standing with big holes in the walls and a few of the corners are gone.
Unit 1 enters the destroyed structure to kill off any enemy survivors. Unit 1 tells Firewalker on the radio, “Firewalker, your floor buster worked.”
Firewalker says, “I saw the blasts from here and they were awesome.”
Unit 1 says, “See you in a few minutes.”
Firewalker says, “Let’s send these Covies to Alien Hell. I’m going to put what’s left of aliens in a soup can when I’m done with them.” Both of them laugh evilly. Firewalker calms down and says, “Bye, Unit 1.” Firewalker gets off the radio to continue his killing spree.
Unit 1 investigates the house and finds a basement door. He grabs his Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) and enters the basement. Unit 1 carefully goes down the stairs. He sees a lot of Covenant (Grunts, Jackals, Skirmishers, Elites, and Brutes), but to him it felt different. They were different sizes and most were unarmed wearing normal clothes and some of them had patches on their clothes (Covenant civilians). The rest of them were a handful of Grunts with plasma pistols, a few Jackals with focus rifles, a Jackal with a plasma pistol and shield, and a Skirmisher Commando with a focus rifle (The only Covenant soldiers left). Unit 1 stops to look at the civilians’ faces, he sees fear in their eyes. Some of them are trying to calm down their families, and some of them were saying their last goodbyes. He tries to ignore the faces and points his DMR at them.
A civilian sees him and yells out, “A demon.” The soldiers get in cover while the civilians scream and they try to protect themselves or their loved ones.
Before the soldiers fire at Unit 1, Unit 1 couldn’t find a good reason in himself to shoot civilians, even if they were Covies. He puts away his rifle and says, “I can’t do it.”
The Covenant were confused, the thing that would usually kill them without question is giving them, mercy. One of the Grunt soldiers says, “A Spartan is giving up? That was easy.”
Unit 1 walks down the stairs says, “I’m not giving up, I’m giving you a chance to escape and survive.”
Another Grunt soldier asks, “How do we know that you’re not leading us to a trap.”
Unit 1 says, “If you waste enough time, it will be. I recommend shutting up and using the ‘back hole’.”
The civilians got what they could carry and started to leave, the soldiers escorted them out. A few of them thanked the Spartan for letting them go. Unit 1 stayed in the basement and waited for the Covies to leave the building.
After a couple of minutes, the Covies were gone. Unit 1 asks himself, “Did I make the right choice?”
Sly on the radio says, “Silent Death and I are done in the warehouse, how about you guys?”
Firewalker says, “Give me a couple of seconds and...” A big explosion is heard in the background. Firewalker yells out, “Kaboom!” He laughs evilly. Then Firewalker says, “All defenses are blown up.”
Sly asks, “How about you, Unit 1?” A moment passes. Sly says, “Unit 1! Answer the radio!”
Unit 1 says, “Huh? Oh, the building is cleared. Let’s regroup at the Pelican.” Unit 1 leaves the building.
5 hours later, the Gear squad is at the frontline base, the “Devil’s Doghouse”. The Gears are relaxing in their new quarters and they start talking to each other during their brief break time.
Sly says, “You, guys know when we clean up the loyalists, the Covenant’s new order is going to try to kill us.” Silent Death nods his head.
Firewalker says, “I’m going to blow them up when they do.”
Unit 1 says, “That sounds about right with the knowledge of our history.” Firewalker says, “You and those holo-books.”
Unit 1 says, “You could learn a few things by looking up the past.”
Firewalker says, "I need to learn how big I need to blow something."
Silent Death gets a holo-pad and starts writing, “I hope the new alliance lasts long enough for us to at least celebrate Halloween with the civilians.” He shows his message to the others.
Unit 1 says, “Yeah, I miss Trick or Treating.”
Sly says, “I do too, mostly the tricks I use to pull after I got the treats.” He laughs.
Firewalker asks, “Guys, we’re 18 years old, doesn’t that make us too old to Trick or Treat?”
The Spartans think about it. Silent Death shakes his head and the others say, “Nah.”
A UNSC soldier with an eye patch, opens the door and says, “Unit 1, General Dickson wants you in the Command Room, now.” Unit 1 says, “I’m going.” Unit 1 leaves the room.
Sly asks the eye-patched soldier, “What happened to you?”
The eye patched soldier answers, “I’m not wounded. It’s a style.”
He leaves and says under his breath, “Why do people question the eye patch?”
When Unit 1 gets to the Command room, the room is dark and there are some dark figures in the room. Unit 1 enters the room and says, “General, what happened to the lights?”
The door closes and the lights turn on to reveal that the dark figures are General Dickson and his personal guard. The General says, “Private Unit 1, get over here.”
Unit 1 says, “Yes, sir.” He goes in front of the General.
Unit 1 says, “What do you want, sir?”
The General says, “I command you to remove your helmet and hold still.”
Unit 1 places his helmet on a table to reveal a clean shaven young man with green eyes, short black hair, and light brown skin. General Dickson kicks Unit 1’s leg. Unit 1 falls on his knees. Then, the General punches Unit 1’s face and he gets knocked on his back.
When Unit 1 tries to get back up, The General’s Guard holds him down. The General orders his Guard to beat him up. Unit 1 asks, “Why are… you…”
The General interrupts, “You have disobeyed one of the Devil Dogs’ most critical rules of the battlefield, leave no enemy survivors.”
Unit 1 says, “Most of… them were… civilians.”
The General says, “They are still aliens and all the Devil Dogs know is that the alliance between the UNSC and the new Covenant are not going to last for very long.”
Unit 1 asks, “Isn’t our job to… protect the… innocent?”
The General says, “You are wrong Private, Devil Dogs are suppose to protect humanity from aliens and crazed rebels.”
Unit 1 finally gets knocked out. The General orders his Guard to stop the beating because he wanted to teach Unit 1 a lesson, not to kill him. Then, General Dickson orders 2 of his Guards to carry Unit 1 to the Gears’ Quarters.
When the Guard gets in the Gears’ Quarters, they drop Unit 1 on one of the beds and put his helmet and a Medkit on a nearby table. They leave without saying anything to the Gear squad. The Gears checked on their downed squad mate. Silent Death put the Medkit in one of Unit 1’s hand and helped him crush it. The Medkit made a blinding light for a few seconds, healed Unit 1, and disappeared. Unit 1 regained consciousness and gets up. Sly asks, “Unit 1, what happened?”
A Spartan in orange Recon amour comes in and says, “That’s classified.”
The Gear squad turns to the Recon Spartan. Firewalker says, “Oh no, not this guy.”
Sly asked Firewalker, “Who’s this guy?”
The Recon Spartan answers, “I am Corporal Grade 1, Crazy D. I’m Unit 1’s new parole officer.”
Sly asks Crazy D, “What did Unit 1 do?”
Crazy D said, “That is still classified.”
Crazy D turns to Unit 1 and says, “The General ordered me to take you on a recon mission when you get back on your feet.”
Unit 1 sighs and says, “Let’s get this over with.” Crazy D and Unit 1 leave the room.
Sly asks Firewalker, “How do you know, Crazy D?”
Firewalker says, “I had a quick mission with that guy. He is annoying, uses pudding as a weapon, and has stockpiles everywhere and I mean everywhere.”
Sly says, “Wait a minute, how can you use pudding as a weapon?”
Firewalker says, “Even though I watched Crazy D use that weapon, I still don’t understand it.”
10 minutes later, Unit 1 and Crazy D arrive in a room with something big, covered by a really big sheet.
Crazy D asks, “So you want to know how the General knew about that certain action you did on the battlefield?”
Unit 1 says in an annoyed tone, “Yes! Every time I asked that question, you were either stuffing your face with cupcakes or giving me a random way to say no. Besides, how can you eat about 150 cupcakes without getting sick? I know we’re super soldiers but still...”
Crazy D answers, “I didn’t want anyone to hear about your mistake and I had a lot of practice eating cupcakes.”
Unit 1 asks, “We were in a 1 person wide hallway, who could hear us?”
Crazy D says, “There were still cameras in there.”
Unit 1 says, “Good point. So how did they know?”
Crazy D answers, “I put in my report that I killed some Covenant fleeing from an UNSC structure that you happened to completely clear out, according to Command.”
Unit 1 says in anger, “You killed them! You’re lucky that you’re my parole officer or I would have given you such bad ass kicking.”
Crazy D says, “General Dickson made me, your parole officer to make you tougher against aliens.”
Unit 1 says, “Let’s get this recon mission over with.”
Crazy D pulls off the sheet to reveal a new looking teleporter. Unit 1 says, “That's a strange looking teleporter. It doesn’t look like a Covenant teleporter.”
Crazy D says, “It isn’t a Covenant teleporter, it is a prototype UNSC teleporter and it is a one way trip.”
Unit 1 says, “I’m guessing we’re the test dummies for this.”
Crazy D says, “Don’t worry I already tested it and I’m ok.” Unit 1 gives Crazy D a look of disbelief.
Unit 1 says, “Wait a minute, we need weapons before going on this mission.”
Crazy D says, “Oh yeah.”
Crazy D taps on the wall to reveal a secret gun rack with ammo cases. Crazy D grabs an assault rifle, a magnum, and some bullets. Unit 1 grabs a shotgun, some shells, and a plasma pistol. He double-checks the gun rack and says, “Where are the grenades?”
Crazy D says, “You can have one of mine.” Crazy D hands Unit 1 a frag grenade.
Crazy D turns on the teleporter and says, “Come on Private, let’s go.” He steps in the teleporter.
Unit 1 says under his breath, “I hope he dies before me.” Unit 1 goes in the teleporter.
Meanwhile back at the Gears’ Quarters, the Gear Squad is waiting for their next mission. One of the General’s Guards comes in. He asks, “Troopers, where is your squad mate, Unit 1?”
Sly says, “He is with the parole officer The General assigned him and they are leaving for a recon mission.”
The Guard says, “That’s impossible, I’m his parole officer.”
Firewalker says, “Aw crap.”
Sly says, “That clever devil. Let’s go and find Unit 1 and that spy.” Firewalker, Sly, and Silent Death storm out of the room and split up to search the base.
Unit 1 and Crazy D get teleported to a clearing on a mountain nearby Ponyville. Unit 1 goes to the edge of the clearing and he sees a small town (Ponyville) but he can’t tell who it belongs to. He uses the zoom in his visor to see the town has wooden structures and different colored aliens (the ponies).
Unit 1 says to Crazy D, “Sir, looks like the Covenant got some new friends and they look like they took over a human a human refugee town. I can’t say if they are UNSC, because it looks too low tech or at least from the outside.”
Crazy D says, “Well Private, your 1st job is to get a closer look of that town.”
Unit 1 says, “Yes, sir. Wait a minute, where are you going to be sir?”
Crazy D says, “I’ll get a Scorpion (tank) for when you get caught.”
Unit 1 says, “Even though I can’t kill ‘civilians’, you can count on me to do a simple scouting mission. I’ll climb down the mountain.” Crazy D says, “There’s a road here.”
Unit 1 says, “I need some time alone and besides it’s training on the way to the town.”
Crazy D says, “OK, I’ll just meet you down the mountain.”
Unit 1 says, “Let’s race.” He climbs and slides the mountain and Crazy D runs down the road.Unit 1 gets down the mountain side, looking for the mouth of the mountain, Fluttershy is seen flying by, sees him, and flies away.
When Unit 1 gets to the mouth of the mountain’s road, He waits for Crazy D and says, “I guess I won the race.”
A strange looking rock moves and says, “No, I did.” Unit 1 reacts by pulling out his plasma pistol, charges it, and fires it at the rock. The plasma disables the rock. It turns out that rock was a cleverly disguised Scorpion (tank) and Crazy D gets out of the Scorpion and says, “Somebody’s jumpy.”
Unit 1 says, “We are in enemy territory so why wouldn’t I be careful.”
Crazy D says, “Well, I still won the race.” Crazy D pulls out an Active Camouflage Armor Ability and gives it to Unit 1, and says, “You’ll need this.”
Unit 1 equips the Armor Ability and says, “This will help a lot.”
Crazy D says, “Continue your recon mission and get me a cookie.”
Unit 1 gives Crazy D a look of confusion and asks, “Why do want me to get you a cookie?”
Crazy D answers, “Because I want a cookie and I am your commanding officer and I order you to get me cookie.”
Unit 1 says, “Yes, sir.” He walks towards Ponyville. He says under his breath, “Out of all soldiers, why would the General pick this crazy bastard to be my leader?”
Before Unit 1 gets to Ponyville, he turns on the Active Camouflage and walks into Ponyville unseen. He walks into the middle of Ponyville to look for the Covenant forces. The Active Camouflage runs out of power and the ponies see him and panic. Unit 1 faceplams himself and says under his breath, “Way to go Unit 1, you alerted the Covies,” Unit 1 retreats and gets on the radio, “Crazy D, I’ve been spotted.”
Crazy D says, “I’m almost there and I told you, you would get caught.”
Unit 1 says, “This is not a good time, Crazy D.”
Someone screams, “Halt, metal beast!” The Royal Guard surrounds Unit 1 and they point their spears at him.
Unit 1 says, “You guys are new to the Covenant so I’ll let you know, you use guns in battle not fancy toothpicks.”
One of the royal guards says, “I’ll you show toothpicks.” He throws his spear at Unit 1 and when the spear hits Unit 1’s armor, it breaks, and doesn’t make a scratch on him.
Unit 1 says, “Wow, you guys suck more than Grunts. And that’s one of the worst burns ever.”
One of the guards says, “We don’t know what you are talking about but we will defeat you.”
Unit 1 says, “You guys are a lot braver than the Grunts. Let’s see if you fight better than them.” Unit 1 pulls out his plasma pistol.
Before Unit 1 could fire his pistol, an explosion blows up 2 of the Royal Guards. Unit 1 shoots his pistol at one of the earth pony guards and kills him. Another guard charges at him, he pulls out his shotgun with his free hand and shotguns a Pegasus guard. Next, Unit 1 bitch slaps a unicorn guard and the guard falls to the ground. He kicks the last guard (an Earth pony guard) and he starts flying. Unit 1 says, “Look at that, a Covie flying without a jet pack or wings. I hope he makes the landing.” He laughs deviously.
The unicorn guard tries to stop him with his magic. Unit 1 gets disabled for a few seconds and quickly recovers. While using the levitation spell to cock his shotgun,
Unit 1 says, “So, you can bend gravity. Too bad for you I had gravity training.” Unit 1 points his shotgun at the unicorn and kills him.
Unit 1 gets on the radio and says, “Crazy D, I didn’t need the heavy support.”
Crazy D says, “Where’s the fun of having a tank if I don’t get to use it?” He fires a round on a random house.
Unit 1 says, “I know its fun to drive a Scorpion but be careful, there are civilians out here.”
Crazy D asks, “These are aliens, right?”
Unit 1 says, “I mean there could be human prisoners in one of those buildings.”
Crazy D says, “Ok, Unit 1. I need you to regroup with me.”
Unit 1 says, “Yes, sir.” Unit 1 rushes to Crazy’s position.
Meanwhile back at the picnic, the Mane 6 and the Princesses are tying to have a good time. They hear an explosion from the distance. Twilight asks, “What in Equestria was that?”
Pinkie Pie says, “It sounds like one of my fireworks or at least the one I ordered.”
Applejack sees a royal guard flying through the air and says, “One of the royal guards is flyin’ this way.”
Twilight turns to Applejack and says, “Applejack, there are Pegas…” She gets a good look at the guard, notices he is an earth pony, and uses her levitation spell to save him at the last minute. The guard’s chest plate is dented into his chest. Twilight puts the guard on the grass gently. The Princesses and the Mane 6 surround the guard.
Luna asks the guard, “What happened?” The guard struggles to breath and answers the best he can, “A green and… blue Cyclops… defeated us. You need… leave before it’s… too late.” The guard takes his last breath and dies.
Fluttershy says, “I saw a green and blue creature, I have never seen before, earlier today.”
Twilight says, “You didn’t think that was important?”
Fluttershy gets nervous and says, “I didn’t want to ruin the picnic.”
Another explosion is heard in the background and the ponies fleeing describe a strange moving rock that spits out fireworks. Princess Luna says, “Twilight Sparkle, you and your friends get the Elements of Harmony and we will find the new threats.”
Princess Celestia says, “That sounds wise, Luna. Let’s go.” The Princesses fly away.
Twilight says, “Let’s go, girls.” The Mane 6 leave the picnic.
Pinkie Pie sneaks back to the picnic to finish the dessert plate. Twilight screams, “Pinkie!”
Pinkie says, “Coming.” She steps on the edge of the plate, the desserts fly into the air, and Pinkie catches it in her mouth. Pinkie quickly bounces to catch up with her friends.
Back with the Spartans, Crazy D is blasting buildings in Ponyville and Unit 1 tries to think of a way to buy the civilians (ponies) time to escape. Unit 1 notices every time the Scorpion fires, some of its stone disguise pieces fall off. Unit 1 says, “Crazy D, let’s remove the Scorpion’s camouflage, it is falling off anyways.”
Crazy D stops firing and says, “Good point. I’ll just press this button.” Crazy D presses a button and the camouflage falls off. Unit 1 dodges some of pieces of camouflage and says, “Warn me next time when you do that.”
Crazy D says, “You told me to remove the camouflage.”
Unit 1 says, “I know but I didn’t know it would fall on me.”
Crazy D says, “Well, be careful what you ask for.”
Unit 1 sees 6 civilians with golden jewelry (the Mane 6); they look like they’re getting in some form of position. Unit 1 says under his breath, “What are they doing?” Unit 1 sees the Mane 6 glowing and they fire a Rainbow of Harmony (I know it’s the Elements of Harmony but that is what I call Elements’ ammo..) in the air.
Unit 1 says under his breath, “A rainbow?” The Rainbow of Harmony hits the Scorpion and the Scorpion blows up. Unit 1’s jaw drops and he screams, “Oh my god, they have Fuel Rod Rainbows!”
Meanwhile in the sky, Princesses Luna and Celestia spot Unit 1 and charge at him.
Back on the ground, Unit 1 is investigating the destroyed Scorpion. Unit 1 says, “Crazy D, are you alive?”
Crazy D comes out of the cockpit without a scratch on his armour and says “I’m pretty sure that I’m still alive, but you won’t be.”
Unit 1 says, “What are you talk…” He looks at his radar “Aww…crap.”
When the Princesses get close, Unit 1 jumps out of the way and lands on the grass. The Princesses land a few feet in front of Unit 1. Luna asks in the royal voice, “What are you and what makes you think you can kill our subjects?!”
Unit 1 says, “Looks like the Covenant got some new allies and Prophets. I guess we…”
Unit 1 turns around to see that Crazy D is gone and looks back at the Princesses. “I have to give you the ultimate royal beating…”
Unit 1 pulls out a shotgun and cocks it, “and here’s the paddle.”
Unit 1 charges at Luna. Celestia uses her levitation spell to mess with Unit 1’s shotgun and Luna tackles Unit 1. Luna pins down Unit 1 and starts punching him. Luna says, “We got thou now!” Unit 1 grabs Luna’s front hooves and says, “Now, I got you.”
Luna gives Unit 1, a smile while charging up her horn. Unit 1 notices her horn glowing; he uses his strength to hit Luna with her own hoof. Luna’s spell goes off course and the beam hits Celestia’s wing. Celestia tries to grit her teeth to ignore the pain.
Luna turns to Celestia and says, “Sorry, Tia.”
Unit 1 pushes Luna off of him. Unit 1 gets up and sees Crazy D sitting on the destroyed Scorpion.
Unit 1 says to Crazy D, “I need some help here.”
Crazy D says, “It looks like you’re handling them very well by yourself.”
Unit 1 says, “Sir, you are a…” He hears energy beams in the air and hits the deck. “Whoa, that was too close.” Unit 1 gets up, pulls out his plasma pistol and fires at the Princesses.
Crazy D takes off his helmet to reveal a serious looking man with yellow eyes, blond hair, a triangular chin, and white skin.He pulls out a tub of popcorn and starts eating it.
Luna tries to fly out of the way but her wing gets hit by the plasma and she falls to the ground. Celestia dodges the plasma fire and goes to check on Luna. She asks Luna, “Are you ok?”
Luna answers, “Yes, I am.”
Unit 1 recovers his shotgun and sneaks up behind Celestia. Luna sees Unit 1 pointing his shotgun at Celestia and pushes her out of the way.
Unit 1 pulls the trigger and kills Luna. He pauses and says, “Wow, a higher rank caring about someone other than themselves, I hope her soul goes to Hea…”
Unit 1 turns around to see Crazy D watching him. “I mean Hell.”
Celestia’s horn glows violently and says in the royal voice, “You monster, you killed my sister and some of my Royal Guard. For that I’ll…” Unit 1 puts away his shotgun, pulls out a sharp diamond knife, and cuts Celestia’s horn off. When the horn lands on the ground, it explodes by the unfinished spell.
Unit 1 pins down Celestia, grabs her head, and whispers to her, “When you go to the afterlife tell your friend, her sacrifice was honorable but pointless.” Unit 1 quickly stabs Celestia behind her head.
Unit 1 walks back to Crazy D and asks him, “What’s next?” Then the Mane 6 fire another Rainbow of Harmony.
Unit 1 screams, “Incoming!” Unit 1 and Crazy D rush to get behind the wrecked Scorpion and use it as cover. The rainbow hits the Scorpion and turns it into stone.
Unit 1 says, “What are we going to do?”
Crazy D says, “I got an idea, you go stop the artillery crew.”
Unit 1 says, “Hey, you watched me fight those Prophets. Now it’s your turn to do something dangerous.”
Crazy D says, “Well, I order you to stop the artillery.”
A glare grabs both of the Spartans’ attention. The Spartans turn to see a golden cloud in the air.
Unit 1 says, “Ok we need back up.” Unit 1 gets on the radio, “Devil Dog Command do you read me?” No one answers. “UNSC Command do you read me?” No one answers. Unit 1 turns to Crazy D and asks, “Are there any other Recon teams?”
Crazy D answers, “Nope.”
Unit 1 says, “So we’re on our own. “ Unit 1 sighs. “I’ll take out the artillery but I need a new Armor Ability to get closer to the artillery crew.”
Crazy D says, “I have 3 Armor Abilities on me. Let me get them out.” He pulls out a Jet Pack, an Armor Lock, and a Hologram ability out of his pants.
Unit 1 awkwardly says, “I’ll take the Armor Lock.”
Unit 1 swaps his Active Camouflage with the Armor Lock. Crazy D equips the Jet Pack, pulls out a grenade box out of nowhere and gives it to Unit 1. Unit 1 opens the box, grabs the grenades and puts them into his pockets.
Crazy D says, “I’ll get the cloud of Covies.”
Unit 1 says, “Good luck, sir.”
Crazy D says, “You too, Private.” Crazy D flies off and Unit 1 goes to the next place of cover.
When Unit 1 gets the new cover, the Mane 6 fire another Rainbow of Harmony at Unit 1. Unit 1 goes on his stomach and the Rainbow of Harmony turn the cover into stone. Unit 1 says under his breath, “What kind of radiation is this? This is not the time. The sooner I take out the new Covenant’s new toy; the sooner lives will be saved.”
Unit 1 jumps out of cover, pulls out his shotgun, charges at the Mane 6, and screams, “Bonsai!”
The Mane 6 look at Unit 1 with confusion. Rainbow Dash says, “Is that thing, serious?”
Twilight says, “Let’s get this over with.” The Mane 6 fire a Rainbow of Harmony at Unit 1. Unit 1 quickly uses Armor Lock. The Rainbow of Harmony hits Unit 1 and turns him into stone.
Applejack says, “Well that was easy.”
Twilight says, “Let’s go and stop that other creature.”
The Armor Lock protected Unit 1 from the Rainbow of Harmony so the spell only covers him with a stone shell. Unit 1 turns off the Amor Lock, breaks out of the stone shell and continues charging at the Mane 6.
Twilight says with shock, “The Elements of Harmony didn’t work.”
Pinkie Pie says, “I have an idea.” She grabs Twilight and starts using her as a machine gun. Unit 1 quickly slides to a cart and uses it for cover. Unit 1 sees on his visor that his shotgun is low on shells and tries to quickly reload his shotgun. Twilight’s beams begin to break Unit 1’s cover.
Unit 1 says under his breath while in middle of reloading his shotgun, “There isn’t any time to reload.” He swaps his shotgun with his plasma pistol and starts charging it.
Twilight says, “Stop Pinkie.” Pinkie stops turning Twilight’s tail and the beam volley stops.
Twilight says, “There’s a spell I wanted to try but, I could never find the right time to use it, until right now.”
Twilight’s horn begins to glow violently. Unit 1 points his glowing plasma pistol over his head and fires it. It makes a small ball of green light heading towards Twilight. Twilight fires a big purple ball of energy and it fires towards Unit 1. The 2 balls of energy collide into each other, (It turns out that magic does not like EMPs) they make a big explosion. The explosion disables the Mane 6, damages the nearby streets, structures, and turns the cart into a pile of ashes and wood. The cart lasted long enough to protect Unit 1 from the explosion.
Unit 1 sees that his plasma pistol is low on power and switches with his shotgun while checking if he still has cover. He hears moaning from the Mane 6 and quickly gets up. Unit 1 sees Twilight and walks towards her with a smile on his face. Twilight can barely see the Spartan walking up towards her.
Unit 1 points his shotgun at Twilight and says, “See you in hell, you cybernetic monster.”
Before Twilight could react, Unit 1 pulls the trigger.
The rest of the Mane 6 screams out, “Twilight!”
Unit 1 reloads his shotgun and says, “You’re next.”
Applejack gets up and sneaks up on Unit 1. Unit 1 sees something trying to sneak up on him, he turns around and Applejack kicks his crotch. Applejack shakes after kicking the titanium armor and Unit 1 endures the kick. Unit 1 grabs the shaking pony’s legs and throws her to a wall. Unit 1 walks up to Applejack and he says, “You Covies suck without your walking weapon.” He points his shotgun at Applejack. “You’re going to meet your robot monster in Covenant Hell.”
Before Unit 1 could pull the trigger, Rainbow Dash recovers and tackles Unit 1. The shotgun shell hits one of Applejack’s rear legs. Applejack screams in pain. Unit 1 falls on his side and Rainbow Dash flies in to the air to gain speed for her next attack. Unit 1 gets up, only to get knocked down by Rainbow Dash again.
Meanwhile, Applejack gets up and tries to limp to her friends. The others barely get back up to help Applejack.
Back with Unit 1, he pulls out his diamond knife and gets up. Rainbow Dash charges at Unit 1 and says, “Who’s helpless now?” Unit 1 tilts to right and cuts off one of Rainbow Dash’s wing. Rainbow Dash makes a crash landing into a building and Unit 1 goes after her. She is disoriented.
Unit 1 steps on her tail and says, “The answer to your question is, you are.” Unit 1 stabs Rainbow Dash’s head and kills her.
Unit 1 puts away his diamond knife and says, “Rainbow-haired alien, now extinct.”
Unit 1 walks out of the building and sees Applejack being carried by Fluttershy and tries to run away. He says, “You’re not getting away that easy.” He fires his plasma pistol at them.
After a few shots, the plasma pistol starts clicking. Unit 1 quickly realizes that the plasma pistol is out of power and throws it at Applejack. It hits her and she falls off of Fluttershy’s back. Unit 1 pulls out his shotgun and rushes to Fluttershy and Applejack. Unit 1 trips over a tan metal box. He sees that it is an USNC ammo box and opens it to find a magnum with a few spare clips and a holo-message. Unit 1 puts away his shotgun and the spare clips, holds the magnum in his hand and begins reading the holo-message
The holo-message said, “Dear Unit 1,
I knew you would run out of ammo for one of your guns by now. So, I placed this magnum where you could find it. Good luck with the artillery crew.
Love, Crazy D
P.S. Don’t forget about my cookie.”
Unit 1 says to himself, “I should have seen that last part coming.” He looks around to see that Applejack and Fluttershy got away. Unit 1 faceplams himself.
He says under his breath, “Great, I let the Covies with the new toy get away. Better find them and prevent the prototype from getting off of this planet or at least, out of this town.”
Unit 1 uses his radar to locate the surviving members of the Mane 6. They were hiding out in one of Ponyville’s homes. Unit 1 approaches the building.
Pinkie Pie sees him and screams, “Its coming.”
Apple jack says, “Let’s get ready to pin down this bull.”
Unit 1 hears their scrambling and rushes to the wall. He makes his way to the front door. Unit 1 pulls out his shotgun and gets ready to breach.
When Unit 1 opens the door, everything starts to slow down. He charges in and in an instant, he finds himself in front of the mouth of Pinkie Pie’s party cannon. He says in slow motion, “Oh shi…!” Pinkie fires her cannon and Unit 1 starts flying through 2 walls. Unit 1 gets stuck on the 2nd wall with balloons tied to one of his feet, a party hat on his helmet, a table cloth over his torso, and party streamers all over him.
Unit 1 pulls out one if his arms, grabs his knife and cuts the string of the balloons to free his foot. He gets himself loose, falls down, and lands on his feet and then on his face. He gets up and the party hat table cloth and most of the streamers fall off him. Unit 1 rushes to the house and says under his breath, “I’m going to do the right thing this time. I’m going to frag them and then storm the place.” Unit 1 gets nearby the door.
Meanwhile inside the house, Pinkie Pie fills a bucket with glue, Applejack and Rarity wait nearby the door to ambush Unit 1, and Fluttershy hides under a pile of pillows. The door slightly opens, Pinkie Pie throws the bucket of glue and a frag grenade flies in, and the door is slammed shut. The frag flies into the bucket of glue. The bucket lands in front of the door. The frag explodes and everypony expect Fluttershy gets glue in them. Pinkie gets glue on her eyes; Applejack gets glue on her hooves, mouth and hat, and Rarity just gets glue all over her fur and mane.
Back with Unit 1, he hears the bucket explode and says under his breath, “I hate to be the sucker who swallowed that frag.” Unit 1 pulls out his magnum, goes in and sees the place covered with glue. He says, “I don’t know what happened but I like it.”
Applejack tries to attack Unit 1 but the glue dried quickly making her immobilized. Unit 1 sees her and karate chops her neck. A crack can be heard from Applejack’s neck and she falls to the ground.
Fluttershy and Rarity scream, “Applejack!” Rarity jumps towards Unit 1 and kicks him. Unit 1 stumbles a little bit. Rarity says as she uses her martial art skills, “You killed my friends, killed the Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, and most importantly got me covered in glue…” Unit 1 found a big enough gap in the attacks to unload the clip of his magnum on Rarity. He says, “Sorry, I got your blood all over you.”
Unit 1 turns to see a blind Pinkie Pie bumping into furniture. Unit 1 gets his magnum and points it behind her head. He says, “If you hold still this won’t hurt a bit.” He pulls the trigger and the pistol clicks. Unit 1 says as he under his breath is reloading his magnum, “Wow, out of the times.” He points his magnum at Pinkie, again.
Unit 1 says, “Sorry for the delay.”
Pinkie Pie says, “My Pinkie Sense is twitchin’.”
Unit 1 says as he pulls the trigger, “Your sixth sense isn’t going to save you now.” She dodges the bullet. Unit 1 fires some more bullets and Pinkie dodges them. Unit 1 throws a frag grenade at her; it misses her and destroys a support beam. He throws a plasma grenade at Pinkie; it misses her and wrecks another support beam.
Unit 1 says, “Ok, maybe it can.” He grabs his shotgun with his free hand. Unit 1 tries to trick Pinkie by shooting his magnum on one side to lead her to his shotgun’s barrel. The plan fails and it ends with his shotgun destroying another support beam.
The building begins to shake. Unit 1 says, “Aww…crap.” Fluttershy gets out of her pillow bunker and helps Pinkie Pie get out of the breaking structures. Unit 1 quickly uses Armor Lock to save himself.
After the building collapses, Unit 1 gets some of the pieces of the building off of him. He gets out of the pile of wreckage. He says, “I’ve got to get those Covies.” His stomach rumbles. “After, I get a snack. I hope there’s a market or bakery still in one piece.”
Unit 1 walks around, and finds Sugarcube Corner. He goes in and finds desserts still in the cases and on the shelves. Unit 1 says under his breath, “Human desserts? They really must have human hostages, somewhere.” His stomach rumbles again. “Let’s see if they took good bakers as hostages.” Unit 1 goes to find a knife and fork.
Meanwhile Fluttershy is upstairs helping Pinkie Pie get the glue off of her eyes. Fluttershy rubs some sap on the glue. She says, “This sap will get the glue off.”
She grabs a bucket of water, pours it in Pinkie’s eyes, and the glue and the sap comes off.
Pinkie says, “Yay, I can see and I’ll celebrate with cake.”
Fluttershy says, “Do you think it’s a good idea to…”
Unit 1 yells, “Where are they.”
Fluttershy softly screams, “Eeeek!” Fluttershy peeks downstairs and sees Unit 1.
She whispers to Pinkie, “The Cyclops is downstairs.” Unit 1 ends his search to find a fork and grabs a cake.
When Pinkie takes a peek, she sees the Spartan eating a cupcake and she sees all the desserts. Her mouth beings to water.
Meanwhile downstairs, Unit 1 is middle of eating his cake. He hears footsteps from the stairs. Unit 1 swallows the last of the cupcake, pulls out his magnum and points it at the stairs. He looks at the stairs and sees no one there. When Unit 1 uses his free hand to grab another bite of cake, he doesn’t feel the cake or the plate. Unit 1 turns around to see that most of the desserts are gone. Unit 1 says, “What the…?” He hears something break nearby the stairs. Unit 1 turns around to see Pinkie Pie with frosting on her mouth and a tower of desserts on her hooves. Unit 1 fires bullets in front of her. Pinkie runs downstairs, puts down her desserts, and starts throwing them. Unit 1 also flips over a table and uses it as cover. Unit 1 fires his magnum at her. She dodges the bullets and gets a direct hit on his helmet with a chocolate cake. Unit 1 wipes some of the cake off his visor. Unit 1 says under his breath, “So you want to have food fight…” He pulls out an apple with a sticker of a black gear with a lit fuse. “Let’s see if you like a bopple.” He pulls the stem and throws the bopple. Pinkie sees the bopple and picks it up. A new Pinkie Sense starts to shake. Pinkie says, “That’s weird, a new Pinkie Sense. I wonder what it means. Oh well.” Unit 1 hides behind his table and puts his hands over his helmet. Pinkie bites the bopple and her head explodes. Unit 1 gets up and says, “Did your Pinkie Sense sense that.”
He hears a lot of footsteps upstairs and goes up to investigate. Unit 1 uses his radar to locate Fluttershy. He finds her in a corner of Mr. and Mrs. Cake’s room in a fetal position. Unit 1 pulls out his magnum and points his gun at Fluttershy, He says, “I’ll do this nice and quickl…”
Crazy D says on the radio, “Unit 1, do you copy?”
Unit 1 says, “I hear you Crazy D. What do you want?”
Fluttershy gives Unit 1 a confused look. Crazy D says, “I’m done here. Oh, I need a quick favor. Take one of them alive.”
Unit 1 says, “There is only one left, sir.”
Crazy D says, “Good, you could kill the alien or capture it. It’s your choice. It doesn’t really matter to me.”
Unit 1 says, “So, it’s my choice, right?”
Crazy D says, “Yeup.”
Unit 1 takes a deep breath and says, “I guess we’re taking a P.O.W.”
Crazy D asks, “P.O.W.?”
Unit 1 says, “You know a prisoner of war.”
Crazy D says, “Ooh. I’ll go call in a Pelican to pick us up.”
Unit 1 says, “Give me the coordinates when it gets here.”
Crazy D says, “You’ll be the first or in this case you’ll be only one to know.”
Unit 1 says, “Wait a minute, how are we…” Crazy D hangs up.
Unit 1 looks at Fluttershy and says, “Good news, you’re going home with me. I know today sucks for you since your squad mates died but at least you’re alive to bitch about it. Come on prisoner, we have to a few chores before we leave this town.” Fluttershy is shaking in fear. Unit 1 says, “Don’t worry as long as you do everything that I say. I won’t kill you.” Fluttershy gets up and they go downstairs slowly.
Meanwhile with Crazy D, he has Derpy Hooves prisoner. Crazy D contacts a mysterious source, “Hello Moon A.I. (Artificial Intelligence) this is Crazy D, Can you hear?”
The moon A.I. says, “Crazy D, I hear you and my name is the Lunar Eye. What do you want?”
Crazy D says, “I don’t care what your name is Moon A.I., I need a Pelican down here, now. Oh, you know the clone I ordered, cancel it. He kept her alive. ”
Lunar Eye says, “Sending you a Pelican now and recycling the clone for spare parts. What do you want me to do with the…”
Crazy D interrupts, “Keep the others in their cells.”
Lunar Eye says, “Yes sir.”
Crazy D gets off the radio. Derpy asks, “Who are you talking about?”
Crazy D puts his finger on Derpy’s mouth and says, “shh, No spoilers.”
Back with Unit 1, he is carrying a box of random cookies and Fluttershy finishes cleaning his helmet. Unit 1 grabs his helmet and inspects it for any surprises. He didn’t find any extras in or on the helmet and puts it on.
Unit 1 says, “Thanks for cleaning my helmet even though I forced you to clean it.”
Fluttershy says, “You’re welcome Mr.…umm.”
Unit 1 says, “Let’s just tell each other our names to save us from more awkward moments. I’ll start, my name is Unit 1.”
Fluttershy says softly, “”I’m fluttershy.”
Unit 1 asks, “Can you speak up, I couldn’t hear you?”
Fluttershy speaks slightly louder, “I’m Fluttershy.”
Unit 1 says, “Ok, Fluttershy. We’re going to visit your exsquad mates. You can say your last words to them while I collect their dog tags. Let’s start with Pinky here.”
Unit 1 finds her Element of Harmony necklace nearby her body and takes it, thinking it was a fancy dog tag.
Fluttershy asks, “How did you know her name and what are dog tags?”
Unit 1 says, “Seriously it’s…I mean her name was Pinky. I said it because she was Pink, I didn’t know someone could be lazy enough to name his or her kid after the color of the kid’s skin." He coughs. “Sorry for the unnecessary complaining. Now to answer the real part of your question Conscript, a dog tag is like a metal ID that a soldier wears around their neck so when they die they know what to put on the tombstone and to tell whose family is getting some bad news.”
Fluttershy says, “Oh... my.”
Unit 1 puts Pinkie’s element of harmony in a special pocket and consumes the whole necklace. Futtershy gasps and Unit 1 says, “What, It is just a medal pocket, it is known to be bottomless to keep all of our medals.”
Fluttershy says, “That convenient.”
Unit 1 says, “Let’s go and get the others.” Unit 1 and Fluttershy leave Sugarcube Corner.
Almost a half hour later, Unit 1 had collected most of the Elements of Harmony (expect Fluttershy’s, of course) and the princesses’ crowns and necklaces. The Pelican arrives and Unit 1 regroups with Crazy D and his prisoner.
When Unit 1 and Fluttershy arrive at the Pelican, Unit 1 notices Derpy Hooves and turns to Crazy D. He says, “You captured a cross eyed soldier. Don’t let it get dual weapons. Trust me, I fight alongside one and he kills 2 by 2.”
Derpy asks, “He fights with wood?”
Unit 1 says, “No, Silent Death is a master of dual weaponry with the help of his crossed eyes.”
Derpy says, “He sounds like a cool… whatever you guys are.”
Crazy D says, “He doesn’t sound cool, He’s mute.”
Unit 1 says, “Here are your cookies.” Unit 1 gives Crazy D the box of cookies. “Let’s go back to base.” Fluttershy gets in the Pelican.
Before Unit 1 gets in he sees something moving in the abandoned town. Unit 1 asks Crazy D, “Sir did you see something?”
Crazy D says, “It’s nothing, let’s go.”
Something screams, “Noooooo!”
Unit 1 says, “I’ll investigate what made that scream.” He goes into Ponyville.
Crazy D says, “Wait Unit 1 get back here.” Unit 1 rushes out of sight. “Aw man I hate waiting.”
Meanwhile in Devil Doghouse, Silent Death finds the prototype UNSC teleporter and it implodes. He texts a message to Sly and Firewalker about what happened and it could have been a possible escape route in Crazy D’s plan. Firewalker says on the radio, “Did it explode?” Silent Death types, “No, it imploded.” Firewalker says, “Aw, Crazy D doesn’t respect explosives.” Sly says, “Unit 1 is MIA (Missing in Action) until we can find Crazy D.” Firewalker says, “I think we just lost a gear.”
Back with Unit 1, he finds out the loud scream came from a short purple and green grunt (Spike). Spike is crying over one of his friends. Unit 1 gets on the radio, “Crazy D, do I have permission to take another prisoner or should I leave him like the others?”
Spike hears this, gets angry and says, “You did this.” He unleashes a power stream of green fire on Unit 1. Unit 1 quickly finds cover from the fire. Unit 1 says, “That grunt is a walking flamethrower. What do I do, sir?”
Crazy D says, “You know those ice blue grenades, you took from the box, earlier.”
Unit 1 says, “Yeah, what about them?”
Crazy D says, “They’re Cryo grenades; use them to cryo freeze that grunt.”
Unit 1 says, “Thanks for the advice.” He throws a Cryo grenade at Spike. It freezes both of them and some of the ground. The fire turns into steam and Unit 1 breaks out of the ice. Unit 1 says, “Come on ice cube, you’re coming home with me.” He picks up Spike and goes back to the Pelican.
After finding a place to put Spike down in the Pelican, Unit 1 goes on the Pelican’s radar and says, “I’ll do a global scan on the radar to see where the nearest UNSC base or camp is.” Unit 1 presses certain buttons to activate. Crazy D says, “Wait a minute…”
A hologram of the planet appears in the middle of the Pelican. Derpy says, “Wow a glowing globe.” Fluttershy flinches.
A voice from the globe says, “I am the Global Scanner System or the GSS for short. What do you want to locate, today?”
Crazy D says, “Nothing so turn…”
Unit 1 interrupts, “Sir we need to know where the nearest UNSC base is.”
The GSS says, “I’ll begin scanning the planet for any military UNSC structures.” A curved green line appears on part of hologram and the hologram begins to spin.
After a couple of seconds, the hologram stops and the GSS says, “Scans complete, no military or civilian UNSC structures detected.”
Unit 1 says, “That’s weird. GSS use heat scans to locate any Covenant forces.”
The GSS says, “Changing scanner.” The curved line turns orange. “Beginning scans now.” The globe spins again.
After a couple more seconds, the GSS says, “Scan complete, No Covenant or plasma radiation detected.”
Unit 1 says, “What the Hell?”
Crazy D says, “That machine is defect…”
Unit 1 turns to Crazy D and says, “Shut up, sir!” Unit 1 turns to the G.S.S. and asks. “Are there any other humans other than us?”
The GSS says, “Scanning now.” The globe spins again.
After a few seconds, The G.S.S. says, “No other human life detected.” Unit 1 turns to Crazy D and gives him a dirty look.
Crazy D says, “That machine is lying.”
Unit 1 says, “It is true that an A.I. can lie but an A.I. on a Pelican doesn’t have enough power to support that scanner and lie. So Crazy D, I have one major question to ask you, where in the UNSC are we?”
Crazy D laughs. Unit 1 asks, “What is so funny?” Crazy D says, “Your question can’t be answered here. I can only answer it on the moon base.” Unit 1 asks, “Why not?” Crazy D says, “Because it’s not safe here and they can hear us.” Unit 1 looks at the prisoners, turns back to Crazy and says, “That’s easy to solve, we’ll release the prisoners, and you can tell me the classified information.” Fluttershy says, “I like that, if you like it.” Derpy says, “Yah, I want to go home and cook some muffins.” Crazy D laughs and says, “You think I’m worrying about them. Then, you’re the crazy one. I’m talking about a greater threat that’s coming here.”
Crazy D starts flying the Pelican towards space. Unit 1 asks, “How do you know this greater threat is coming?” Crazy D says, “I know because they were waiting for something to happen to Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and the bearers of the Elements of Harmony that would make them unable to do their duties.” Fluttershy gasps while Derpy laughs and says, “He said doodie.” Derpy and Crazy D laugh together. Unit 1 says in an angry tone, “You think this is funny.” Crazy D says while laughing, “Yes, the doodie joke is funny.” Unit 1 faceplams himself and says, “I didn’t mean that I meant…” Crazy D says, “We’re here.”
Everyone except Spike (who was still frozen and placed in a corner of the ship) can see the moon. Fluttershy and Derpy look at the moon with amazement at the world that they normally couldn’t fly to; the place that once kept Princess Luna imprisoned, now looks like an unexploded land full of mystery. Unit 1 looks for the moon base on the surface. Crazy D drives over the moon looking for a certain spot. Fluttershy says softly, “That’s the moon? It’s doesn’t look scary. ” Derpy says, “Wow, that’s a big rock.”
Unit 1 asks Crazy D, “Where is the moon base?” Crazy D looks at the ground and says, “Right here.” The Pelican goes straight to the ground, nose first. Fluttershy and Derpy hug each other and scream at the top of their lungs. Unit 1 says, “Pull up. Pull up!” He tries to take the controls away from Crazy D but it was too late, the nose of the Pelican had already made contact with the rocky surface. Something strange happens; the Pelican didn’t crash, but went through the hologram camouflage instead. Fluttershy faints from the scare. Unit 1 says, “I hate that type of door, it can always surprises you the first time you go in.” Crazy D lands the Pelican on a platform. The platform starts to descend. Crazy D turns to Unit 1 and says, “You thought I was going to crash, how crazy do you think I am?” Derpy says, “Very crazy.” Unit 1 says, “I agree with the alien.” Another platform covers the hole on top of them.
A few seconds later, the platform the Pelican is on, stops. The lights from the walls turn on to reveal a few doors and a couple of poorly built robots come out of the doors. Unit 1 asks Crazy D, “Are those tin cans yours?” Crazy D says, “Yes, yes they are. They’re here to take the prisoners to their cells.” Crazy D opens the Pelican’s cargo door. The robots take Derpy, Fluttershy, and Spike away. Unit 1 says to the robots, “Be careful with the prisoners.” Crazy D says, “Unit 1, I’ll take you to one of my rooms so we can relax and I can answer any questions you have. Well... ones that I can answer any ways.”
Crazy D takes Unit 1 to a room that looks like a party room with a food dispenser, a big holo-vision set, cool looking tables, and comfortable looking chairs. Unit 1 stares with amazement and says, “This looks too good to be true. How did General Dickson let you keep this stuff? I thought the General and his bodyguards are the only ones to have this stuff.” Crazy D sits down and says, “Grab a drink, some food, and a seat. I’ve got a secret to tell you.” Unit 1 goes to the food dispenser. He is surprised at the choices on the dispenser’s buttons. Crazy D turns to him and says, “You look like you haven’t seen apple cider, pizza, or ice cream before.” Unit 1 says, “I’m surprised you remember what they are after the harsh training we and the Devil Dogs went through and the strict diet of water, energy bars, and the occasional dirt.” Crazy D says, “That sounds like it stunk.” Unit 1 shockingly asks, “Sounds like…what kind of Devil Dog are…?” Crazy D interrupts, “That not important now, get your food and feast.” Unit 1 says suspiciously, “Ok”
Unit 1 gets a small pizza with pepperoni and bacon toppings, a glass of apple cider and a small bowl of vanilla and chocolate ice cream and he goes to Crazy D’s table. Unit 1 notices that Crazy D isn’t getting anything and he says, “Aren’t you going to get anything?” Crazy D answers, “I’ll get something later.” He turns to the holo-vision and says while grabbing the remote, “I wonder what’s on right now.” He turns on the holo-vision.
The holo-vision turns on and it shows Spike in the cryo freezer. Unit 1 starts to eat uncomfortably. Crazy D says, “This is boring, I wonder what’s on the next channel.” He changes the channel.
The holo-vision is now showing Derpy and Fluttershy in a futuristic amusement park, full of rides and poorly built robots. Derpy is enjoying the rides while Fluttershy is passed out on a bench. Unit 1 nervously asks, “Are there booby traps on those rides?” Crazy D says, “Nope.” Unit 1 asks in confusion, “How are you going to get any information out of them?” Crazy D says, “I’m not, I just put them in a really cool waiting room.” Unit 1 asks, “A waiting room… for what?” Crazy D says, “You’ll see, soon enough.” He laughs evilly. Unit 1 gets his hand on his magnum and asks, “What is going on?”
Crazy D turns off the holo-vision and says, “It’s time for the big reveal. You, Private Unit 1, you personally helped me with a major step in my Dad’s plan to get rid of Mad Horse.” Unit 1 asks, “Why would General Dickson care about this Mad Horse guy or thing?” Crazy D laughs while saying, “You think General Dickson is my dad? That’s funny” Unit 1 says, “If General Dickson didn’t give these orders…” He flips over the table and points his magnum at Crazy D. “Then what the hell did you make me do?” Crazy D stops laughing and says, “Someone’s ang…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Cut the jokes and give me answers.” Crazy D says, “You’re no fun. My dad wanted me to get rid of Mad Horse and he gave me a plan to do so. The first part of my father’s plan was to get a Spartan, but not any Spartan, a Devil Dog. You were my final choice.” Unit 1 says, “I guess Firewalker was your first choice.” Crazy D says, “You’re right, but he was too explosive-happy to take to this planet. He would have destroyed the only known continent on the planet before Mad Horse even decided to do anything.” Unit 1 says, “You got to know Firewalker very quickly, but what did you and your daddy need me for?” Crazy D answers, “Haven’t you figured it out that you already did part 2, it was for you to kill the co-rulers of the primary civilization and their primary heroes, the bearers of the Elements of Harmony.” Unit 1 says, “Wait a minute, the Elements of Harmony were the things that artillery had crew but they mysteriously disappeared.” Crazy D says, “Yes they did, I wonder where the necklaces and the tiara have gone off to.” Unit 1says under his breath, “The jewelry were the weapons.”
Crazy D says, “Doesn’t matter, they were the only ones keeping Mad Horse in hiding. Without them, he will come out of hiding with his plan to take over Equestia and I’ll kill him, with your help of course.” Unit 1says, “The Alliance won’t let you get away with screwing an entire planet to its doom.” Crazy D laughs and says, “The Alliance won’t help because they’re more than 500 years away from this galaxy, or time period in this case.” Unit 1 says in confusion, “What?” Crazy D says, “The teleporter that took us here was part-time machine. My dad thought of everything because that teleporter is destroyed by now and you have to work for us to get home.”
Unit 1 grabs Crazy D and says, “I’ll save the planet without you and your daddy’s help.” He points his magnum at point blank range to Crazy D’s head. “I know that the responsibility of assassinating a civilization’s leaders and heroes who had no part of the old Covenant, but killing you will make me feel a little bit better about it.” Unit 1 unloads the entire clip of the magnum into Crazy D’s head and he drops the dead body.
Unit 1 reloads and says, “Now, to try fix this mess.” He opens the door to find Crazy D waiting for him. He says, “Do you feel better?” Unit 1 gets confused, turns around to see that Crazy D’s dead body is gone and he starts babbling. Crazy D says, “Oh, you didn’t know I can respawn or teleport. Wait a minute; this is the first time you’ve seen me die so you couldn’t have known that in the first place.” Unit 1 asks, “How did you learn that trick?” Crazy D says, “I got it from an accident from testing one of my dad’s machines. Being forced to stay the same age does stink, but living forever is a good thing.” Unit 1 switches to his shotgun, points it at Crazy D’s chest and says, “Maybe you work like certain zombies who only die from getting shot in the heart. Unit 1 pulls the trigger, Crazy D’s body flies across the room and lands on a table.
Unit 1 cocks his shotgun and goes to the next room. He finds Crazy D standing in the room. He says, “It didn’t work and you broke my table. Why do you hate my table?” Unit 1 says, “I’ll make a quick guess, no matter what I do, I can’t kill you.” Crazy D says, “You do for a few seconds and the forces of time and space bring me back to live and I can come back where I want. Oh, to let you know, I like the surprised look on your face when you saw me alive after you killed me, it’s priceless.” Unit 1 says, “You have a sick scene of humor.” Crazy D says, “No, I don’t, because I don’t feel sick.” Unit 1 says, “I did my part in this devastating plan, just send me to back to the Devil Doghouse. I don’t want any more part of this plan of destroying a civilization, so you can hunt down a personal enemy who is no threat to humanity or the Alliance.” Crazy D says, “He’s going to be a threat to humanity in a few hundred years.” Unit 1 says, “You have an army of robots, the vehicles, the weapons, the technology, and the fact you can’t die. What do you need me for?” Crazy D says, “I need someone to help me.” Unit 1 asks, “What about your insane father, why can’t he help?” Crazy D says, “He’s doing other things.”
Unit 1 asks, “Who is this base’s AI?” Crazy D says, “I’ll never tell you who the talking machine is.” The Lunar Eye says, “The name is the Lunar Eye.” Unit 1 asks the Lunar Eye, “Do you mind I if I call you LE for short?” The Lunar Eye says, “Nicknamed accepted.” Crazy D says, “Don’t tell him anything.” Unit 1 asks, “Where is the teleporter that can send me back to my base?” LE says, “Displaying coordinates on your mini map, now.” Unit 1 sees where the teleporter is and heads to it. Unit 1 says, “Thanks, LE.”
Before Unit 1 leaves the room, Crazy D says, “Wait, don’t you want to save the prisoners that you put in here?” Unit 1 stops. “I’ll give you a chance to save them and give you a ride off the moon but it will take longer for you to go back to the Devil Dogs. Think about this. It’s your choice, save yourself or save the aliens.” Unit 1 turns to Crazy D and asks, “What’s the catch?” Crazy D says, “Goody, we get to play a game. This game is easy, I make challenges that you have to go through and you just have to beat them and free the prisoners from their cells. You got that? ” Unit 1 says, “Yeah, I got it.” Crazy D says, while pressing a button on the wall, “Good.” A part of the wall opens to reveal an elevator opening. “Get in the elevator to start the fun.” Unit 1 gets in the elevator and Crazy D goes to a control room.
The elevator doors close and Unit 1 descends down to Crazy D’s first challenge.
The elevator stops and its doors open to reveal the first room. Unit 1 goes into the room, with shotgun in hand, the elevator’s doors close. Unit 1 looks around the room and sees nothing. Unit 1 says, “Crazy D, where’s the first challenge in your sick game?” A holo-vision appears, then turns on to reveal Crazy D on the screen and he says, “I’m working on it but for the meantime, I’ll give you 2 of them. Just in case you fail the challenge.” Crazy D looks around for a button. “Where is it?” Crazy D finds the button and presses it. “Enjoy your new friends and don’t forget to have fun.”
A big tube comes from the ceiling, Fluttershy and Derpy fall out of it and they land on a randomly placed mattress.
Unit 1 turns to the holo-screen and says, “You made my job a lot easier Crazy D, now I have only one prisoner to save.” Crazy D says, “You think I would make the game this short.” He laughs “No, you have 8 more prisoners to save.” Unit 1 says, “8? I only recall taking in 3 total and 2 of them are in here.” Crazy D says, “Remember the ones you killed or at least the ones you thought you killed, they are in here, too.” Unit 1 asks, “What are you talking about?” Crazy D says, “You remember the Princesses and the bearers of Harmony? They are here too, slowly gaining the memories of how you killed their clones. And yes, you fought their clones that had 1/10 of their real power. So, do you want to play?” Unit 1 says, “I’m not giving up before this game begins.” Crazy D says, “That’s the sprit, your first challenge will be ready soon.” The holo-vision turns off.
Fluttershy quickly hides behind Derpy. Derpy says, “You’re good now, aren’t you, Mr. Metal guy?” Unit 1 says, “First of all, my name is Unit 1 and second, I’m fixing what I have done wrong by helping you get off of this rock.” Fluttershy says trembling, “You are helping us?” Unit 1 says, “I know it’s crazy but I know who the good guys are now. So, let’s go save your friends and the others.” Derpy asks, “Others? What others?” Unit 1 says, “The prisoners who are the good guys but not your friends.” Fluttershy and Derpy say, “Oooh.”
A pair of doors open to reveal the first challenge. The room has 2 floors, a platform elevator and a basic treadmill on the first floor and a button and a door on the second floor.
Crazy D is on the speaker and he says, “This is an easy challenge. Unit 1 has to run on the treadmill to take Fluttershy and Derpy up to that button to open the door and to you take up. Derpy says, “I have a better idea.” She picks up Unit 1 and takes him to the second floor with Fluttershy behind them. Unit 1 says, “You’re stronger than you look Derpy. Your name is Derpy, right?” Derpy says, “Some ponies call me Ditzy Doo but most ponies call me Derpy Hooves or just Derpy.” Unit 1 presses the button and the doors open. Crazy D says, “I forgot 2 of you had wings and Derpy carries anvils at her job. Oh well, I’ll let you have this one but the next challenge will be harder or easier, I don’t know, yet.”
Unit 1, Derpy, and Fluttershy go inside the door to a long hallway with another door on the other side. They start walking; Unit 1 asks Derpy, “So what’s with the tattoo on your butt?” Derpy asks, “Tattoo?” Unit 1 says, “You know the picture.” Derpy says, “Oh, you mean a cutie mark.” She looks close at Unit 1’s armor. “And you have one too on your chest.” Unit 1 looks down and sees a picture of blue shield with silver lining and a silver gear in the middle. He says, “That’s not a tattoo that’s my emblem.” Derpy says, “Is an emblem like a cu…” Derpy bumps into the door and it falls down. Unit 1 says, “Looks like LE has to fix that door.” Fluttershy and Derpy look inside the next room with excitement and rush in, happy screaming, “Rainbow Dash!” Unit 1 comes in the room, puzzled and starts wondering who they are talking about.
When Unit 1 gets in the room, he sees Rainbow Dash wearing a strange looking helmet, and his face turns pale. Unit 1 says, “I killed you; how are you…” He remembers what Crazy D said. “So those were clones I killed.” Derpy and Fluttershy are hugging Rainbow Dash. She screams, “Get off of me you, changelings!” Rainbow Dash pushes them off of her. Fluttershy asks, “Rainbow what are you doing?” Rainbow Dash starts attacking Unit 1. Unit 1 tries to pin down Rainbow, he says, “LE how do we turn off this crazy maker helmet on little rainbow hair’s head.” LE says on the radio, while Unit 1 is getting his butt kicked, “To deactivate the aggressive booster helmet, turn the knob on the back of the helmet all the way to the left. Warning: If you turn the knob to the right, the subject will get stronger and more aggressive.” Unit 1 says while in Armor Lock, “Ok, there’s a knob behind the helmet: left good, right bad, got it.” He jumps on Rainbow Dash and slams her on the ground. Unit 1 says, while finally pining down Rainbow, “Someone turn the knob on the helmet all way to the left.”
Derpy comes in and says, “I got it.” She finds the knob and turns it all the way to the right. Rainbow Dash gets huge muscles and wings and overpowers Unit 1. She picks up Unit 1. Derpy says, “I don’t know what went…” Unit 1 interrupts, “I don’t care, turn it to the other left.” Rainbow Dash throws Unit 1 to the wall. Derpy turns the knob all the way to the left, Rainbow Dash turns back to normal and the helmet falls off.
Rainbow Dash says, “Thanks for getting that… OOW!” She puts a hoof on her head. “My head, it hurts.” Derpy says, “That helmet did look tight.” LE says, “Subject: Rainbow Dash is experiencing one of the primary side effects of removing the aggressive booster helmet from the highest setting, Disorientation.” Unit 1 says, “So she has a really bad headache?” LE says, “Basically.” Fluttershy asks Unit 1, “Who are you talking to?” Unit 1 says, “I’m talking to this base’s AI.” Fluttershy says, “An AI?” Unit 1 says, “An Artificial Intelligence, I think of her as the brains of a high tech machine. You might see her, later.” Crazy D gets on the speakers and says, “The new elevator has arrived. Get in it to go the next challenge.” The elevator’s doors open. Unit 1 says, “Let’s go.” Derpy and Unit 1 go in the elevator while Fluttershy helps Rainbow Dash get in.
The elevator goes down to the next challenge. It was a silent ride down except for Derpy repeatedly saying muffins and Rainbow Dash’s groaning.
When the elevator stops and the doors open, the group walks out. Unit 1says, “Derpy, there aren’t any muffins and you can stop saying that.” Crazy D says on the speakers, “That’s no way to talk to a friend.” Unit 1 says in anger, “First of all, they are not my friends, they’re my allies and second, look who’s talking Mr. Rank Abuser. You tricked me to kill aliens who weren’t part of the Covenant at all so you can get some loser out in the open and you made me have responsibility of a mess bigger than I ever thought possible.” Crazy D says, “But I am letting you save the ponies that you thought you killed.” Unit 1 says, “Let’s get this challenge over with.”
A room opens up and Crazy D says, “In the next room, it will show you how to dance the cha cha slide.” Unit 1 says, “Devil Dogs don’t dance.” Crazy D says, “If you don’t learn the dance you’ll fall in the acid pool in the next challenge.” Derpy says, “We’ll fall in a pool that doesn’t sound bad.” Unit 1 says, “An acid pool, unlike a normal pool, it will melt you into nothing if you fall in.” He turns to Crazy D (or at least one of the speakers) “I don’t need to learn how dance to dodge trapdoors.” Fluttershy says, “If you don’t mind, I’ll go to learn that dance, if that’s ok with you.” Derpy says, “Learning a dance? That sounds fun.” Fluttershy and Derpy go in the next room. Derpy turns to Rainbow Dash and asks, “Aren’t you coming, Rainbow Dash?” Rainbow Dash says, “Fine I’m coming…oow. She walks towards the door bumps her head on the door way and continues going in.
Crazy D notices Unit 1 not going in the next room. He asks, “Aren’t you going to the next room?” Unit 1 says, “I’d rather wait for the challenge.” Crazy D says, “Go into the next room or else I’ll drop you…” Unit 1 interrupts, “In the acid pool. Bring it on.” Crazy D says, “That’s weird, you don’t fear being…” He remembers what that… Crazy D says, “Mr. Writer, I think they would get the idea if you stop writing stuff that isn’t necessary.” [It is my first time typing something that’s actual going to the public.] Crazy D says, “Like your other ideas, scripts for YouTube and the last story you were working on for this site.” [That idea wouldn’t make sense even with flashback. Besides this is the first episode… wait why am I talking to you.] Crazy D says, “Because the story advisor gave me the ability to break the 4th wall. Oh, thinking about him. He would have made this story funny or at least made more and funnier jokes.” [Well he wasn’t here for most of the development of this episode or at least the typing part.] Crazy D says, “At least, he wouldn’t make this chapter stink.” [Hey, you try to write or in this case, type out a Portal themed area. Oh crap, we wasted a lot of space for this discussion. We need to skip the challenge]. Crazy D says, “Why?” [Keep talking back and I skip to the part where Unit 1 saves all the prisoners.] Crazy D says, “Fine.”
Back to the story, Unit 1, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Derpy are now in a hallway that leads to the next prisoner. Unit 1 says, “Does anyone remember doing the challenge.” The others shake their heads. “That’s weird. Oh well, let’s save prisoner number 4.”
Unit 1 opens the door to reveal Pinkie Pie dancing with a strange helmet on. Unit 1 contacts the Lunar Eye, “LE, what helmet is this prisoner wearing?” The Lunar Eye says, “That is the Sense Tickler Helmet, it is a type of mind control that controls the wearer by controlling his or her senses to do whatever the controller wants to do with the victim.” Unit 1 says, “Where is the off button on it.” The Lunar Eye says, “There’s no off button but, there is a radio signal. Turn it off and the helmet will be easily removable.” Unit 1 says, “So, cut the radio signal and take off the helmet, Got it.”
Crazy D says on the speakers, “This is my favorite prisoner so I won’t let you take her, easily. Time to play with her Pinkie Sense.”
Pinkie starts jumping around, everyone expect Unit 1 tries to catch her. Unit 1 gets in the middle of the room while the others still try to grab her.
After a few minutes, Pinkie goes toward Unit 1. He quickly goes into Armor Lock. When Pinkie Pie gets over to Unit 1, he gets out of Armor Lock, disables the helmet with the Armor Lock’s EMP, head bunts Pinkie Pie, she goes flying in the air, the helmet flies off of Pinkie’s head to the ceiling and breaks, while Pinkie safely lands on all of her hooves. Pinkie Pie rubs her head and says, “Oowie, my head hurts.” Rainbow Dash rubs her head and says, “Join the club.” Pinkie asks, “Is there a new club for ponies with headaches… Oow.”
Derpy says, “I have an idea to save the others faster.” She turns to one of the speakers. “Mr. Orange guy, Can you please release our friends and give us a ride home?” Unit 1 giggling under his breath, “As if that would…” Crazy D says, “Since you asked so nicely, I will and for a bonus I’ll even give you the thing that can stop me.” Unit 1 yells in anger, “What, That worked! I don’t know what I’m more pissed at, not doing that earlier or going through all that that bullshit to find out that question worked, right now. ” Crazy D says, “Calm down Mr. Grumpy pants, I’m sending you an elevator so you can meet the others in person in the nearby the hanger.”
After a couple of seconds an elevator appears and everyone gets in. The doors close and they go up. Unit 1 calms down and says, “Let’s agree, whatever happens on the moon, stays on the moon.” Derpy says, “You don’t want anypony finding out about Rainbow Dash be…” Unit 1 repeats himself, “Whatever happens on the moon, stays on the moon.” Pinkie says, “This is a fun ride.”
After a few minutes, the elevator stops and its doors open. It reveals a room with 7 pods and a friendly robot. The small group gets out of the elevator to be greeted by the robot, “Hello, I am Bot 13 and I’ll be helping you today by releasing your friends and giving you the thing that can stop Crazy D. Let us start with Princess Luna and Princess Celestia.” Bot 13 presses the release subject button on their pods. The Princesses fall out of the pods, they look at each other. Luna says, “I’m trapped on the moon, again.” She starts crying. Celestia hugs her and says, “Sorry for trapping you here a thousand years ago.” Now Celestia starts crying.
Unit 1 says, “Geez, Crazy D gave them some strong stuff.” Pinkie Pie asks, “What stuff?” He turns to her and says, “I don’t even know myself.”
Bot 13 says, “Now releasing Applejack, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle.” Bot 13 presses their release subject button on their pods. They fall out and start groaning. Rarity says, “Ow, my head hurts really badly.” Applejack says, “My brain hurts as bad as the time I planned for the Apple family reunion.” Twilight says, “My mind hasn’t hurt this bad, ever since I overreacted when I didn’t get that report on time.”
Unit 1 leans over asks, “What are they talking about?” She says, “I’ll tell you later. If that’s ok with you.” Unit 1 says, “Agreed.”
Bot 13 goes to Spike’s pod and says, “Releasing Spike.” Bot 13 presses the release frozen treats button. Spike and a few boxes of ice cream sandwiches and popsicles fall out of the pod. Spike groans, “I have the worst brain freeze right now.”
Unit 1 says, “All of you get into cover, now. I’ll explain what’s going on, later.” He double checks his weapons’ ammo. Bot 13 asks, “What are you worried about?” Unit 1 answers, “This feels too easy and I think that last pod is a trap because nobody, even the most mentally insane, would just give out the weapon that can stop.” Bot 13 says, “You’re being paranoid, I'll show you that it is safe.”
The bot presses the release package button. Bullets come out of the pod and destroy the robot. Crazy D walks out of the pod with an assault rifle and says, “I never liked that robot.” He throws away his assault rifle. Unit 1 pulls out his shotgun and points it at Crazy D and says, “I knew that crap about you giving us the thing that can stop you wasn’t true.” Crazy D laughs. Unit 1 gets closer, points his shotgun at Crazy D’s crotch, and says, “What so funny, you 2-faced psychopath.” Crazy D calms down and says, “Don’t you get it; I am the only thing that can stop me.” He opens the doors to the hanger. “You have to answer 3 questions and I’ll give you the key to the safe ship.” Unit 1 asks, “What about the other ships.” Crazy D says, “Oh, they are booby trapped and set to explode when you try to turn them on.”Unit 1 puts away his weapon, sighs, and says, “Say the questions.”
Crazy D says, “Good, 1st question, ‘What is your name?’” Unit 1 asks, “Codename or full name?” Crazy D is caught off guard and says, “Uhh… full name.” Unit 1 answers, “Ricky Unit 1 Dex.” Crazy says, “Next question, ‘What is your quest?’” Unit 1 asks, “Life or current quest?” Crazy says, “I don’t care… life quest.” Unit 1 answers, “To protect the innocent and prevent what happened to me happen to someone else.” Crazy D says, “Last Question, ‘What is your favorite color?’ Unit 1 asks, “Normal or…” Crazy D rages, “Just answer the question.” Unit 1 says, “Dark green, of course, the primary color of my armor.” Crazy D gives Unit 1 a key and says, “That key is for the light blue supply ship over there.” He points to the ship.
Unit 1 says, “Everyone go to that ship, now.” Spike and every one of the ponies go to the ship. Unit 1 grabs the rations (ice cream) and runs off to the ship. Crazy D says, “I always wanted to use that reference.”
Unit 1, Spike, and everypony get into the ship and they blast off. The ship gets into space. Spike goes up to Unit 1 and asks, “Why did you save us when you technically put us there in the first place?” Unit 1says, “I found out you’re not Covenant and my ex-commanding officer tricked me to do something I was against and made me release someone or something worse on your planet. There is not much I know about Mad Horse but the only thing I do know is that I have to return you guys home and kick Mad Horse’s ass.”
Crazy D is heard on the radio, “It isn’t that simple. Unit 1, you have to stay in space until the rest of your crew gets their heads straight and when you make a plan.” Unit 1 asks, “Why can’t I drop them off now, and think of a plan later?” Crazy D says, “Because I have remote controlled bombs on that ship. So, good luck and see you in a few weeks.” Unit 1 says in confusion, “Wait, what?” Crazy D turns off the radio.
Crazy D gets on the radio and says, “Surprise inspection time.” Unit 1 says, “What the… it’s barely been a few minutes. What makes you think I made any progress, yet?” Crazy D says, “It wouldn’t be a surprise inspection if you knew I was calling and I like to use the radio. So see you later, bye.” Unit 1 turns off the radio.
Unit 1 looks at a directory of the supply ship. Spike gets behind him and says, “I heard what you said about you preventing what happened to you, happening to somepony else. What was that?” Unit 1 says, “That is personal and it hurts to talk about it.” He looks closer at the directory. “Ah, there it is.” Spike asks, “What is it?” Unit 1 answers, “I found the resting quarters.” Spike says, “You found… what?” Unit 1 says, “The bedrooms. Oh, before I forget.” He pulls out the Elements of Harmony and the princesses’ jewelry from his medal pocket and gives them to Spike. “You, Fluttershy, and Derpy return these to their proper owners. I have to take a nap because it’s been a long and confusing day and I’m going need some energy for the fight later.” Spike asks, “What about my friends’ headaches, you got…” Unit 1 says, “Speaking about headaches you sound better from your brain freeze.” Spike grunts and says, “Thanks for reminding me.” Unit 1 says, “I would recommend you stand on your head until your brain freeze is gone and give your buddies some medkits. The only thing that they need to do is to crush the medkit to get rid of their pain.” Unit 1 says, while going out the door, “If they are still mad about me killing them, it’s ok for them to beat me in my sleep.” He says under his breath, “I deserve it.”
Back with Spike, he says, “That was weird. I wonder what he was looking at.” He looks at the directory. “Hmm, it’s a map of the ship. This would be useful back at home in the library.”
Spike imagines a directory back at home to help put the books away after Twilight’s studying. Then he imagines Twilight constantly changing it or making him change it.
Spike shakes his head and says, “Nah!”
Derpy and Fluttershy come in the room. Derpy says, “Where’s the big metal guy?” Spike turns to Derpy and says, “Did it say his name was Ricky Unit something?” Fluttershy says, “I think he likes to be called Unit 1.” Spike turns to Fluttershy with shock and says, “He? That thing is a scary killer. It isn’t a pony.” Fluttershy says, “He did save us.” Derpy says, “Yeah that metal guy saved us.” Spike says, “I don’t know what he really saved us for but, I know it’s going to be bad.” He turns to the directory. “I wonder where the first aid kits or those ‘medkits’ are.” He looks closer at the map, finds it, and says, “Here it is and there is a shortcut through the storage room. Follow me.”
Spike leads them to the cargo bay; a flying med pack comes out of nowhere and hits Spike on the head.
Fluttershy and Derpy rush to Spike. Fluttershy asks Spike, “Are you ok, Spike?” Spike gets up and says, “Actually, I feel great and somehow cleaner.” He looks around. “Where’s the thing that hit me?” Derpy says, “I saw it, but it disappeared when it landed on your head.” Fluttershy says, “I saw that too.” She quickly flinches. “It might be a ghost.” They look around. Spike says, “Whatever it was, it’s gone. Let’s go.” They go off to the medical ward.
When they got in, they see medkits and other futuristic medical supplies on the walls and in boxes. Derpy grabs a box of medkits and says, “I think I found it.” She picks up the crate and walks out of the room. Spike says, “Wait up.” Spike runs out to catch up with her. Fluttershy looks at the scary futuristic supplies (Well, to her eyes) and quickly notices that her friends are gone. She says in fright, “Derpy… Spike… where are you?” She takes a second look at the medical equipment and runs out of the room.
Spike, Fluttershy, and Derpy go to the cargo bay to heal their friends with the box of medkits, but when they get there, they are surprised that their friends are already healed. Spike asks, “How did you get better so fast?” Pinkie Pie raises a hoof and says, “Ooh, ooh, pick me.” Spike turns to Pinkie and says, “Yes, Pinkie.” Pinkie says, “We felt better after I found a box of these weird first-aid kits.” She points to the crate that she got. Spike says, “I should have known that you would have gotten a box of medkits by now.” Pinkie asks, “Medkits?” Spike says, “That’s what the metal guy calls them.” Fluttershy says softly, “His name is Unit 1.”
Meanwhile, Unit 1 is in the resting quarters looking for something. He quickly stops, opens his wrist piece, and says, “Scan room for a BSH (Battle Simulator Helmet).” His helmet scans the room as he turns around. The scanner shows up negative. Unit 1 takes off his helmet and armor (Don’t worry he wears a UNSC uniform under his armor) and says, “I hope he doesn’t come back when I was dreaming.” He gets comfortable and falls asleep.
Luna senses Unit 1 is asleep, she turns to Celestia and says, “Tia, I sense that the metal creature is asleep, I’m going to see what I can learn from him in his dreams.” Celestia says, “I’ll see you later, Luna.” Luna glows and then disappears. Twilight notices Luna is gone. Twilight panics, and asks Celestia, “Where’s Princess Luna?” Celestia says, “Don’t worry, Twilight. Luna is visiting Ricky’s dream.” Twilight asks, “Whose Ricky?”
(Before we continue, I just want to get something clear. I did a little research on Luna’s dream traveling spell; there wasn’t much information so this is completely my guess on how it works. If they make a future episode that explains the spell, remember this was made before that episode. This explanation is suppose answer certain questions and to prevent people from complaining about the inaccuracy in future comments.)
When Luna enters Unit 1’s dream, she notices that she is in the middle of an UNSC farm. It has livestock of cows, pigs, and strange looking birds (Moa), an orchard with short trees with apples, mangos, and pears and strange looking plants with even stranger fruit, a barn and a house. She also notices a metal fence surrounding the farm with a big sign at the gate. She walks outside the gate; she notices something written on it. She reads the sign under her breath, “Dex farm, Proud to be part of the UNSC.”
She turns around and sees a bunch of Grunts and Jackals with both Elite and Brute leaders. A grunt points at Luna and says, “Hey guys, look.” Luna says, “What are thou, strange…” The grunt walks through her as if he was a ghost. Luna turns around and sees the grunt pick up a cowboy hat. The grunt says, as he is putting it on, “Look at this cool hat.”
An honor guard phantom comes into view. A brute says, “Line up you maggots, the Head Chieftain is coming.” The nearby troops assembled into 2 lines and they make a path to the farm as the Phantom lands. Luna hides behind some of the Grunts.
When the Phantom touches the ground, its doors open, and a bunch of high ranking Hunters, Brute Chieftains, and Elite Zealots come out surrounding a Brute Chieftain that is slightly bigger than the Hunters and wearing more threatening-looking armor. The big Brute Chieftain looks at one of the lower rank Brutes and asks, “Is the area secured?” The Brute answers, “Yes, Head Chieftain the humans are trapped and ready to be killed.” The Head Chieftain says, “Excellent, time for killing.” One of the Zealots goes up to the Head Chieftain and says, “Killing UNSC soldiers are one thing but this is madness.” The Head Chieftain pulls out his custom-made Gravity Hammer and kills the Zealot. He yells, “Does anyone have anything else to say about my favorite game?!” One of the grunts says, “Can we join?” Another grunt says, “Yeah me, too!” The Head Chieftain says, “It feels like a Grunt day. Alright all of you Grunts come with me, the rest of you stay here.”
The Head Chieftain and the nearby Grunts charge at the farm house. Sniper Rifle and Magnum bullets start flying through the air. A few Grunts get killed while the others fire their Plasma Pistols and Needlers and the Head Chieftain fires his dual Spikers with extended clips. Luna carefully follows them into the building. At the cost of a few more Grunts’ lives, the Head Chieftain kills a man and a woman brutally with his Gravity Hammer. Luna witnesses their deaths in horror.
As Luna is trying to calm herself down, she hears more plasma and bullet fire and then 2 explosions only a few seconds apart from each other, and screams of death. Luna walks further into the house. She sees a male teenager trying to run away from the Head Chieftain but his Gravity Hammer got to the guy before he got away towards the basement. Luna tries to help him, but her magic rays go through the Brute as if they were flashlights.
Luna realizes she is in a memory dream; she can’t do anything but watch the memory. The Head Chieftain orders a bunch of Grunts into the basement, Plasma fire and the sound of a single magnum firing soon follows.
A big explosion and Grunt screams are heard in the next room. The Head Chieftain goes in the next room with Luna behind him. They see a big hole in the floor with a few dead Grunts and some body parts scattered all over the place. The Head Chieftain smiles.
Some of the debris starts to move, and then a door pushes the debris out of the way, and a short farm boy comes out. He looks at the Head Chieftain with anger. The boy looks closer at the Chieftain, quickly gets confused, and says, “You’re not Rexar.” The Head Chieftain says, “Yes I am, I just got some upgrades.” The boy says, “I remember every detail that happened this day and you didn’t have that armor and those weapons earlier. You are a fake.” Rexar says, “I evolved and let me show you how far I evolved.” His Gravity Hammer starts to glow and he slams it on the floor. The background starts to disappear until they are floating in the middle of space.
Rexar says, “When you kept having this nightmare again and again, I grew more powerful and…” The boy fires his magnum at Rexar but the bullets go though him. Rexar laughs at him and says, “You idiot, I studied you when you left your dream world for that simulator world and oh yeah, I took over this world when you were away. I’ve been able to make myself tough enough to ignore pain from any UNSC or Covenant weapon or vehicles and even the strength of your Spartan armor can’t hurt me. I’m going to make you suffer before I kill you; to make it the most painful death you’ve ever imagined.”
With a snap of Rexar’s fingers, the boy starts to grow up within seconds. Rexar snaps his finger and says, “Remember Sgt. Rally…” An image of a young female Asian with pink hair that looks similar to Fluttershy appears. “She tried to warn you not to sign up in the war, but you ignored her because of your rage and you wanted to do like Bruce Wayne did and become a hero, become a Batman. So you signed yourself to the Spartan program to stop aliens like me.” He snapped his fingers, the image of Sgt. Rally disappears and clips play of a bunch of preteens, teenagers and young adults dying in several different ways. “Do you remember how many of your so-called friends or what you call Gears died in that Devil Dog Academy during the extreme training?” The teenager says, “Stop it!” Rexar continues, “When you try to do the right thing…” He snaps his fingers and replays the moment when General Dickson ordered Unit 1’s beating. “Your general ordered your beating.” The boy stops growing up and becomes a young man. Rexar snaps his fingers one more time and all the images disappear and he teleports to Dex farm with a similar scene like how he left Ponyville, expect all the ones he killed are wearing civilian clothes and the young man is in green and blue Chieftain Armor. Rexar says, “Face it, you’re the new me, Little Ricky.” Ricky falls on his knees and says, “I failed the longest goal of my life.” Rexar snaps his fingers, Ricky’s Chieftain Armor turns into Unit 1’s Spartan armor. He picks him up and says, “I’ll kill you as Unit 1 because you already left Ricky behind and I have the power to kill people in their dreams. Let’s see if it works.” He pulls out one of his Spikers.
Before Rexar pulls the trigger, Luna fires a beam at Rexar; the beam hits his hand, and Unit 1 falls to the ground. Rexar turns to Luna and says, “Who are you? Luna says in the Royal voice, “I am Princess Luna, ruler of the ni…” Rexar says, “You know what, I don’t care.” He starts firing both of his Spikers at Luna and Unit 1. They go for cover. Unit 1 asks, “Are you here to help me or just here to kill a nightmare that’s gone rouge?” Luna says, “We believe, we are doing both.” Unit 1 asks, “We? Does that mean we have back up?” Luna says, “We refers to…”
Rexar breaks their cover and Luna and Unit 1 separate. Luna fights Rexar with magic beams and Spiker needles fly through the air and they dodge each other’s attacks in their epic dual. While Unit 1 is in a corner, thinking, he quickly gets an idea and concentrates on that idea.
The background turns into a room with a white floor and platforms attached to big metal arms coming out of nowhere to make the walls and the ceiling. Unit 1’s armor changes into an orange Aperture jumpsuit, with white knee and elbow pads, chest plating, and Aperture long fall boots. He is wearing a helmet with a light green visor that looks a lot like a Core. He also makes a Portal Gun with his mind.
Luna was starting to lose. Rexar pulls out his Gravity Hammer. Before he could hit her, Luna turns into smoke, and Rexar’s hammer gets stuck on one of the wall platforms. The platform quickly replaces itself before Rexar could pull out his hammer. The smoke starts to take the form of Nightmare Moon and even Luna’s voice changes to Nightmare Moon’s. The voice says while changing, “I will defeat thou in my stronger form…” The cloud finishes its transformation. “Nightmare Moon!”
Rexar laughs and says, “So, you got bigger. I am still in charge here.” He snaps his fingers and nothing happens. Rexar snaps his fingers again and nothing happens. Rexar says with a worried look on his face, “What happened to my control snap.” Nightmare Moon says, “Fool, I disabled thou’s power over this world. Now, perish Rexar!” She fires a ball of energy at Rexar. He flies to the wall and lands on his back. Rexar pulls out his Spikers, he starts charging and firing his guns at Nightmare Moon.
Unit 1 comes out and fires an orange portal in front of Rexar and a blue one on top of the orange portal. Rexar falls in the portal and falls into the bottomless trap. Unit 1 laughs and says, “I forgot how funny that was.” Nightmare Moon turns to Unit 1 and says, “Unit 1, thou looks…” Unit 1 interupts, “I know that this isn’t the best looking armor, but it is the best protection and gives you easy access in Aperture… well for a work in progress anyways.”
One of the walls opens up to reveal a small room with an acid floor. Nightmare Moon asks, “What’s that for?” Unit 1 says deviously, “You’ll see.”
Rexar catches himself on top of the orange portal. Before Nightmare Moon could attack, Unit 1 pulls his arm in front of her and says, “I got this.” He fires a blue portal above the acid pool. Rexar gets cut in half and falls in the acid pool screaming in pain. A loud voice in the background screams, “Portality!”
Nightmare Moon asks, “Where did that voice from?” Unit 1 answers, “Don’t worry, that’s the announcer from the Mortal Kombat simulators, he usually just announces when the round starts or ends, who won and the fatalities.” Nightmare Moon asks, “Fatalities?’ Unit 1 answers, “Basically, a fatality is a way to be killed, brutally”. Nightmare Moon says, “That's interesting.” She turns back into Luna.
Unit 1 takes a closer look at the acid pool and notices smoke rising from Rexar’s melted body. He asks Luna, “Uum… Do nightmare demons usually transform to dark purple smoke?” Luna answers, “No, why does thou…?” She sees the cloud and fires a powerful beam at it. The cloud screeches and gets destroyed.
Unit 1 asks, “So, is Rexar dead this time?” Luna says, “He is stopped for now. Rexar will return in thou’s nightmare if thou let him, but he won’t be able to think on his own and he will never control thou’s dreams, again.” Unit 1 says, “Well at least if he kills me, I’ll just wake up. I would like to thank the both of you.” Luna says, “Thou are welcome Unit 1, that is the name that thou prefers, correct?” Unit 1 says, “Yes. Ooh… before you leave, don’t tell anyone what you saw in here.” Luna says, “May we ask, why?” Unit 1 says, “The less they know about me, the better and that’s all you need to know.” Luna says, “I will see thou, soon.” Luna disappears.
Unit 1 uses his mind to make a can of apple cider, and then he says, “Too bad, I don’t have this power in real life.” Unit 1 chugs down the cider.
When Unit 1 was done, he crushes the can and throws it away. He says, “Break time’s over.” He wakes up.
A few minutes later, Unit 1 regroups with the others. Unit 1 takes a deep breath and says, “I’ve been thinking, I didn’t let the killer of my family go scott free so, I’m ready.” Pinkie Pie asks, “Ready for what?” Unit 1 puts his hands behind his back, throws away his weapons and says, “For my execution.”
Everyone except Pinkie Pie looks at Unit 1 with shock. Pinkie says, “Yay, execution! What’s an execution? ” Twilight whispers into Pinkie’s ear, she gasps and says, “Why would anypony want that?” Unit 1 answers, “It is the right punishment for what I have done.” Applejack asks, “For savin’ us?” Unit 1 says, “No, for what I did back on the planet. I took most of your lives and I took the rest of you as war prisoners even though you were innocent. I should have known.” Fluttershy says, “It’s alright you didn’t…” Unit 1 interrupts, “That doesn’t excuse my actions in that town.” Rainbow Dash says, “We weren’t really there so, we don’t even… what… that’s weird I remember the picnic and the attack.”
Crazy D says on the speakers, “You remember because I wanted you to. I have the memories of the clones into your heads even though their lives were short.” Twilight asks, “Why would you do that?” Crazy D says, “Because I wanted you to remember him. Oh and to let you know, the updates on Mad Horse are in the radar room. Good bye!” Luna and Celestia say in shock, “Mad Horse?!” Unit 1 says, “Hey, one criminal at time, here.”
Celestia says, “I’ll talk with my sister to decide your fate Ric…” Unit1 interrupts, “Call me, Unit 1. That’s the name I want to die with.”
While Celestia and Luna whisper to each other, Unit 1 prepares himself for his execution by placing his helmet on the table and getting on his knees to make it easier for his executioner.
After a few minutes, the royal huddle is broken up. Celestia looks at Unit 1and says, “Unit 1, our judgment is not guilty. You will not be executed.” Unit 1 asks, “Does this count as community service, then?” Celestia pauses for a moment and then says, “Yes, community service against Mad Horse.” Unit 1 says, “I have charges of murder, kidnapping, attempted murder, assassination and your idea of a punishment on these charges is community service? I got a beat down for saving enemy civilians from my general’s personal guard.” The others gasp. “Aw man, I said too much.” Fluttershy goes up to him and says, “You poor thing.” Unit 1 says, “I don’t want your pity.”
Pinkie Pie says, “Somepony needs a hug!” Unit 1 says, “No, I don’t need a hug.” She hugs him. Unit 1 feels good inside, a feeling he hasn’t felt in about 8 years, but his guilty conscious made it a bitter sweet moment. He pushes her away and says, “Get away from me.”
Crazy D says on the speaker, “Hey, Private.” Unit 1 asks, “What the fuck do you want?” Crazy D says, “Mad Horse is planning an attack on one of the local farms. If you go now, you might stop them from destroying it and preventing ‘it’ from happening again.” Unit 1 looks up. “Yes, I read your file and I’ve got to say that was a terrible way to end your birth month. There is a Hornet in the cargo bay and some crates with weapons and ammo; you just have to find them. Then again, that’s if you want to stop the attackers. It’s your choice.” Applejack and Pinkie Pie worriedly ask, “Which farm?” Crazy D says, “Sweet Apple Acres, Mad Horse wants to teach the entire Apple family who’s in charge now, with his forces making sure that they get the message.”
Unit 1 gets up, picks up the Dex Diamond and puts on his helmet. He rushes to a random crate and breaks it. SAWs (Squad Automatic Weapon) and ammo cases start coming out of the crate. He picks up one of the SAWs , puts it on his back and starts collecting ammo. Pinkie asks Unit 1, “What are you doing?” Unit 1 says, “Preparing for my community service.” Crazy D says, “I had a feeling that you would do that. I am sending the ship nearby to a good place to ambush them.
The ship descends to the planet. Applejack asks Crazy D while Unit 1 starts grabbing grenades, “Why are all the Apples at the Sweet Apple Acres? It isn’t the Apple Family Reunion.” Crazy D says, “They are there because of your funeral.” He laughs. “Your family is going to die because they think you’re dead. Ironic isn’t it.” Unit 1 says while loading his new Magnum, “Not today.”
Unit 1 looks around and finds the Hornet. Unit 1 climbs in the Hornet’s cockpit and Applejack tries to get in but Unit 1 stops her. He says, “Sorry but there’s only room for one and I’m the only one that knows how to drive.” He tries to push her off but she bites on to a part of the Hornet. She says with her mouth full, “I’m comin’ too and there’s nothin’ you can do about it.” Unit 1says, “I understand what you are doing…” He successfully pushes off Applejack. “But this calls for a professional killer.” Unit 1 closes the cockpit.
The cargo ship stops, opens its doors and Unit 1 flies out. He quickly finds 4 trucks with machine guns and well-armed horses. Unit 1 turns the radio on and says, “I spotted possible targets. Crazy D is that them?” Crazy D says, “Well, duh.” Unit 1 says, “I was just double checking.” He fires missiles at the trucks. A truck crashes while another blows up. The trucks starts firing at the Hornet and Infantry gets out of the trucks and start firing bullets and flares at the Hornet. The Hornet takes some damages, but Unit 1 was able to eliminate the rest of the forces with the machine guns.
Unit 1 lands the Hornet. Crazy D asks on the radio, “What are you doing?” Unit 1 says, “Making sure that they’re all dead.” Unit 1 sees one of the dead bodies and analyzes it, “Looks like a basic trooper…” He knocks on the armor. “The armor appears to be made with iron and some form of… leather?” He looks at the weapons and says, “It looks like rebel gear with big triggers.”
A few survivors try sneak up on Unit 1. He detects them on radar, quickly grabs his magnum and kills them. Unit 1 counts the bodies, “1, 2, 3, 4…” A horse in a pyrotechnic suit horse with a modified hockey mask and a fire ax is about to strike Unit 1 but he turns and unloads his Magnum. The pyro falls on the ground and starts to craw towards Unit 1. Unit 1 fires his Magnum, but it clicks, so he stomps on his head instead. He finishes counting, “5.”
Crazy D says on the radio, “Mad Horse is planning an attack by train and there’s a bridge that needs to be blown up.” Unit 1 says, “Send me the coordinates and I’ll knock down that bridge.” Unit 1 reloads his magnum and rushes to the Hornet. Before he gets in, Unit 1 sees an unusual shape in front of some glowing fire and behind it, some smoke. He points his Magnum at the figure. The wind blows away the smoke to reveal that nothing’s there. Unit 1 looks at his radar and sees only himself on it. He puts away the pistol and gets in the Hornet and flies off with an unexpected hijacker riding along.
Unit 1 sees the bridge and the train on a side of a mountain, switches machine guns with the missile launchers, and says, “There’s a delivery that won’t reach the station.” Before he fires, Unit 1 feels something blocking the fire buttons. He looks down and sees a lion paw and an eagle claw over the controls. A voice says, “Is something wrong?” Unit 1 tries to get its hands off the control but the creature strikes back. Unit 1 asks while fighting it, “Are you Mad Horse or one of his top soldiers?” The creature says while punching Unit 1’s visor, “I’m Discord, god of…” Unit 1 kicks Discord between the legs. He continues in a high-pitched voice, “chooooaaaas.” The glass of the Hornet’s cockpit breaks.
Some of Mad Horse’s minions notice the Hornet, they grab lock-on missile launchers and fire their missiles at the fighter.
Red lights start to flash and beeps are heard. Unit 1 pushes Discord out of the cockpit, grabs the controls and tries to fly out of the way. One of the missiles hits one of the Hornet engines and the Hornet starts flying out of control. Unit 1 tries to make the fighter crash on the train engine but he crashes into a train car filled with explosives instead and it explodes. The explosion destroys some of the bridge and some of the other cars while some of the other cars fall in the hole of the destroyed bridge. Unit 1 flies into the coal car. He peeks out of the coal and sees an engineer maintaining the engine. As the engineer is filling the engine with coal, Unit 1 throws a frag grenade in the belly of the engine. Unit 1 jumps out of the coal car, pulls out his SAW and goes in the nearby passenger car, guns a blazing.
The engine explodes, makes a hole and falls in it with the remaining part of the train. Unit 1 could feel the train moving towards its doom, so he concentrated more on running than killing, but still having his finger on the trigger.
When Unit 1 gets to the last car, a heavy armored trooper is standing in front of the way out. He runs out of ammo for the SAW, he puts it away, and tackles the heavily armored horse through the door. Both of them land on the tracks. The big horse says, “Thanks for saving my life.” Unit 1 says, “You shouldn’t be thanking me.” He pushes the horse off the edge of the tracks and throws a plasma grenade at him. The plasma grenade sticks to him. Unit 1 begins to count down with his hand, 3, 2, 1; he quickly opens his hand as he hears the explosion.
Unit 1 gets on the radio and says, “Crazy D, I’m done, pick me up.” Crazy D says, “Twilight just read the entire pilot manual of the supply ship and is coming to pick you up.” Unit 1 says, “Does she have previous experience flying a ship, before?” Crazy D says, “She flew a hot air balloon, a few times.” Unit 1 asks, “What’s a hot air balloon?” Crazy D says, “It was one of the very first ways of flying.”Unit 1 says while reloading, “I hope she doesn’t crash it.”
A voice says, “Leaving so soon.” Unit 1 says as he turns around, “Tell Twilight to hurry up.” Discord says, “Are you talking to yourself?” Unit 1 points his SAW at him and says, “This is my primary language.” He unloads the clip at Discord. He says as Unit 1 reloads, “You didn’t even hit me.” Discord uses his powers to make a glass of water, he drinks it, and water comes out of random parts of his body like water was going through a broken hose. Unit 1 switches the SAW with his Magnum and shoots Discord’s head off. The body catches it and puts it back on like nothing happened. Unit 1 says with a worried look on his face, “What the…?” Discord says, “I almost lost my head. Now, what were we doing? Oh yeah, we were fighting.” He disappears. Unit 1 quickly switches guns and looks around the area. A snake tail quickly wraps itself around the SAW and starts hitting Unit 1 with it. Discord says, “Why are you hitting yourself?” Discord keeps repeating the attack and the question while Unit 1 grabs his Magnum. He fires the pistol at Discord. Discord flies off of Unit 1’s helmet and disappears.
A loud beep is heard nearby; Unit 1 looks up and sees the supply ship slowly descending. Unit 1 says on the radio, “Stay in the air, there is a failed science experiment running or flying loose here and he can’t die or at least not yet.” Twilight says, “Does anypony know how to use this?” Unit 1says, “I hear you loud and clear.” Pinkie Pie says, “That isn’t loud, silly.” She pulls out a megaphone. “This is loud!” Unit 1 says, “Good thing Firewalker always showed me his new bombs or that would have hurt my ears.” Discord is heard on the ship’s radio, “Well, what a surprise, all of you are alive.” Unit 1 says, “Girls and Spike, be careful, that thing is unpredictable.” Fluttershy says, “Don’t worry, he’s my friend.” Unit 1 says in shock, “Mr. Failed Mutant is your friend?” Fluttershy says, “His name is Discord.” Unit 1 says, “What’s next, you’re going to tell me that you’re friends with a wild bear.” Fluttershy says, “Harry is more civilized than you would think.” Unit 1 says under his breath, “Your file’s going to be a page turner.” Discord says, “We can still hear you, metal man.” Crazy D says, “More bad guys coming by air.” Unit 1 uses his visor’s binoculars and spots a big wave of transporters, fighters, and helicopters. Unit 1 asks, “What is their target?” The cargo ship turns slightly and gets in view of Canterlot. Crazy D, Celestia, Luna, and Twilight say, “Canterlot.” Crazy D says, “Jinx, you 3 owe me a soda.” Unit 1 asks, “What’s Canterlot?” Twilight says, “That’s the capital of Equestria.” Unit 1 says, “That place is going to need all the help it can get.”
The cargo ship goes down to Unit 1’s level, the bay doors open and some of the crates fall out. The bay doors quickly close and the main door opens to reveal Derpy on the door controls. Unit 1 quickly goes in the ship without saying a word.
The cargo ship flies into Canterlot before a magic shield appears. Twilight turns to Celestia and asks her, “Celestia, isn’t…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Land first and questions later.”
As the ship lands, the Royal Guard surround it with the new captain going in front of it and he says in a sad attempt to sound intimidating, “In the name of Prince Blueblood, you are under arrest eh… giant metal bird?”
Unit 1 says, “I know how to deal with the welcoming committee.” He takes the SAW away from Discord. Unit 1 says as he walks to the door, “Derpy, open the door.” Unit 1 reloads the SAW as the door opens. Celestia and Luna jump on him with Pinkie Pie and Discord behind them. The door opens to reveal the dog or in this case pony pile. The guards cheer and one of them says, “The Princesses are alive and they captured the steel Cyclops.” Unit 1 gets them off his back and says to the guards, “Let’s get one thing straight here, I saved them. It’s complicated but we don’t have time for this. There is…” One of the guards says, “You’re a lair, you killed the Princesses.” The other guards yell in agreement. Unit 1 yells, “We don’t have time for this shit. There is an air…” Another guard says, “We shouldn’t listen to you, we should put you behind bars.” The guards cheered in agreement and charge at Unit 1. He gets his SAW and points it at the charging troops.
Before Unit 1 could pull the trigger, Luna screams, “Halt!” while Celestia yells out, “Stop!” in their royal voices. All of the charging guards stop. Unit 1 says, “That’s right, sit and roll over.” Luna says, “I order you not to touch him.” Celestia says, “He is here to help us stop the incoming invasion.” The captain says as he makes his way to the front, “But…” Luna says, “Don’t question us, captain.” Celestia says, “Keep the shield up, Captain Butterscotch.” Unit 1 laughs. Unit 1 looks around and says, “Oh come on, I’m the only one that finds that funny.” Captain Butterscotch asks, “What so funny?” Unit 1 says, “I’ll tell you later, if you live through this fight.” Captain Butterscotch says, “What fight? The enemy is outside the shield.” Unit 1 goes up to the captain and slaps him. He says, “Out of all these soldiers, you should know that there is always a way in.” The captain says, “There is no other way into the city.” Unit 1 says, “You’re kidding me, I can go through this low level force field, easily.” Captain Butterscotch says, “Prove it.” Unit 1 says, “I will.”
Unit 1 moves towards the shield while the guards make way for the Spartan with smiles on their faces and some of them look like they’re expecting a laugh. He jogs along nearby train tracks and reaches an opening of the city’s wall with the army of guards behind. Unit 1 walks out of the magic shield and back in. The guards look with amazement while some of them drop their jaws. Captain Butterscotch says in disappointment, “My shield spell isn’t strong.” Twilight says, “I’ll improve the shield.” She makes a ball of energy at the tip of her horn. The ball of energy flies towards the sky. The ball turns into a new layer of shielding right under the captain’s shield. Twilight says, “Now, try to go through Unit 1.” Unit 1 says, “Ok.” He walks through both shields and walks back with sparks on his armor. Captain Butterscotch asks Unit 1, “Are you hurt, Cyclops?” He answers, “I’m fine, it’s my shields that are down, but they will be back up in a few seconds.”
Pinkie Pie looks up and says, “I think the other ships saw Unit 1.” Applejack turns to Pinkie and asks, “What makes you think that?” Pinkie says, “Oh, because they’re coming down.” Most of the fleet outside starts charging at the shields. Unit 1 sees them and yells, “Incoming, falling metal!” Everyone scatters for cover.
When the ships try to go through the shields, most of them crash and damage both shields while the others stop or fly up in time to save themselves. The captain’s shield was destroyed while Twilight’s shield is on its last leg. The broken ships and bodies slide off of Twilight’s shield. Pinkie Pie asks, “What leg? That shield doesn’t have legs, silly.” [Oh no, not again… Pinkie do you want a cupcak?]. Pinkie says, “Yes, I do.” A cupcake flies in the air. [Go get it]. Pinkie Pie chases the cupcake.
Getting back to the story, Unit 1 picks up a radio transmission. A soldier says, “Mad Horse, most of our fleet’s gone.” A sinister demonic voice says, “Thanks for pointing out the obvious.” The soldier asks, “What do we do now, sir?” Mad Horse says, “I still have a trick up my sleave.” The soldier says, “You don’t have…” Mad Horse interrupts, “You know what I mean. It is time call up the “Under Kickers.”
Unit 1 turns to Captain Butterscotch and asks, “By any chance does this big shield go into the mountain. The captain and some of the nearby guards begin to laugh. The captain asks, “Why do we need the magic shield to be underground.”
Unit 1 hears another transmission. Mad Horse says, “Under kickers, it is the time to strike.” A deep voice says, “Yes, sir. Hey boys, it’s time.” Different types of voices (including muffled voices) can be heard cheering or laughing and then the sounds of drills turning begin to roar.
The ground begins to shake; big drills appear out of the ground. As the drills ascend out of the ground, they show that they are attached to big metal cylinders with tends. When the metal cylinders get up from the ground, their back doors open and several MH soldiers come out. They are iron armored troopers, pyros, and troopers with strange looking equipment with an unknown purpose (Some of those soldiers looked the same while others had their own styles). They start attacking the Royal Guard or looting stores and scaring the civilians.
Some of the Royal Guard were stunned at the enemy’s slightly bigger size and how their attacks and armor were useless against the new threat.
Captain Butterscotch says with confidence, “I’ll get them out of the city with a spell that Captain Shining Armor taught me.” Unit 1 turns to the captain and asks, “Are you sure that trick will work?” He answers, “This spell is the same spell that got the entire changeling army out of Canterlot.” Unit 1 sits down and says, “Let’s see if this works.” Captain Butterscotch begins the spell. Twilight notices him doing the spell and she says, “Captain, wait!” The captain performs the spell, magic energy goes all over the city but Mad Horse’s troops were strangely not affected by the spell. Unit 1 hears the enemy laugh at the failed attempt.
One of the soldiers says on the radio, “These morons haven’t figured out that our uniforms and our new drill transporters are magic proof.” Unit 1 intensely listens to the radio. Another soldier says, “The only thing we have to do is kill Prince Blueblood and suck up that fool of a chaos god’s power for Mad Horse.” The first soldier says, “Discord will be the only hard part and Blueblood will be the easiest.” A bunch of Mad Horse’s troops are heard laughing either evilly or hysterically. Mad Horse says, “Get Blueblood alive, I have plans for him to ‘help’ give Equestria to me, whether he wants to or not.”
Unit 1 says, “Captain…” He looks around. “Where is the Captain?” Twilight says, “He’s over here.” Unit 1 looks to see Captain Butterscotch lying on the ground twitching and asks, “Is he still alive?” Twilight says, “The spell he is trying…” Unit 1 says, “I asked for a yes or no, don’t give me the details.” Twilight says, “Of course, he is still live.” Unit 1 says, “It’s time to do what your soldiers suck at…” He pulls out the SAW. “Kicking ass. Oh, tell that Discord thing to watch his back, they have a surprise for him, I don’t know what, but I know it’s bad.” He charges in the fight.
Unit 1 shoots at a street full of enemies and kills them. He counts the bodies under his breath and then says, “I got a killionare.” He turns to some nearby Royal Guards and says, “If you can walk, grab a rifle or a pistol and follow me.” One of the soldiers asks, “What’s a rifle and a pistol?” Unit 1 says, “The weapons that these scumbags are using.” The Royal Guards pick up some weapons from the dead bodies. Unit 1 notices one of them pointing his gun the wrong way. Unit 1 says, “Hey you, the slim end is where the ammo comes out of. He hears another guard on fire and an oops, a few seconds later. Unit 1 turns to the guard on fire and says, “You, stop, drop, and roll until the fire goes out.” The guard does what he says. Unit 1 turns to the guard who pulled the trigger and says, “Be careful, we want to kill the enemy, not our allies.” One of the guards says, “The only reason I signed up for the Royal Guard was to go to a good college.” Unit 1 turns to him and says, “When you signed those papers and put on that uniform, your ass belongs to your country and your country wants you to stop those bastards from taking over the capital because if the capital falls, the country falls with it.” The guard says, “But, I don’t want to die.” Unit 1 puts his SAW under his arm, uses his free hand to pick up his magnum, points it at the cowardly guard and says, “You either die fighting or just die.” The guard says, “Ok. I’ll follow.”
Unit 1 climbs on some wreckage, points at a skirmish up the road, and screams, “Move up and find cover, boys and girls. We’re got a battle to win.” He reloads his SAW. One of the guards asks, “What’s cover.” Unit 1 faceplams himself and says under his breath, “This is going to be a long battle.”
Meanwhile in another part of the city the princesses and the Mane 6 fight along the side a big group of Royal Guard trying to fight off Mad Horse’s forces. Their magic attacks bounce off the enemy’s armor and suit. The pyros are making it hard for them to get close, even for Pinkie Pie. They even risk lighting a few of their guys on fire to stop her advances in their ranks. Pinkie Pie says, “Mr. Writer, you’re making it sound funny.” [I was detailing your teleporting power, what did you think I was writing about.] Pinkie says, “Oh, nothing.” As I was saying the defenders look screwed right now.
Discord gets an idea, snaps his fingers repeatedly, and random things start to fall on the enemy troops either killing, wounding, or just pissing them off.
A MH (Mad Horse) trooper says, “Look, it's Discord.” A MH trooper with the mysterious gear says, “Just like Mad Horse said, he can’t resist any form of chaos.” The first trooper says, “Well, what are you waiting for?”
The MH troopers with the strange gear, fire beams of light at Discord; the beams stun and drag the chaos god in the middle of their ranks. Some of MH troops surround the chaos god. Discord asks, “What’s going on? I can’t move.” A trooper with the strange equipment comes up to him and says, “In a couple of seconds…” A big needle, like a blade, comes out of one of his gauntlets. “It won’t matter.” The trooper stabs Discord with the blade and the blade and his backpack begin to glow. Discord is getting weaker and starting to shrivel up. The HM trooper says, “Your powers belong to Mad Horse.” A Spike grenade flies through the air and hits Discord’s captor’s eye. The trooper says, “Oww, my eye.” The Spike grenade blows up and big shards of crystals come out and impale its victim and his equipment. Strange colorful smoke comes out of the destroyed equipment and goes into Discord and revives him.
Before another trooper could repeat the process, bullets fly at the enemies. It quickly becomes a 2 front firefight for Mad Horse’s troops. Unit 1 charges and shoots up a bunch of enemies while screaming, “Dakka, dakka, dakka!” Discord gets freed and joins in the fight.
Unit 1 picks up a radio transmission while in cover reloading with his last clip. A HM trooper says on the radio, “Canterlot castle is ours, sir and we got Prince Blueblood, quite easily.” He laughs. “He gave up when we came into his room and found him under his bed.” Price Blueblood says in the background, “If you ruffians let me go, I will give you every bit in the treasury.” A nearby MH trooper says, “Shut up!” He hits the prince. Unit 1 gets back into the fight but still listens to the radio. Another trooper says on the radio, “Sir, we lost Discord and a metal monster is kicking our flanks.” He gets scared. “We’re all going to die. I’m going to make a…” Unit 1 shoots the scared solider. Unit 1 says sarcastically, “Oops.” Mad Horse says on the radio, “Captain Xeno…” A trooper says, “He’s dead, sir. Mad Horse says, “Fine, Captain Hawkeye what is happening to…” There is a quick scream on the radio.” Mad Horse says, “All troops in the city fall back to the castle.” A lot of soldiers say, “Yes sir.”
MH soldiers start retreating. Unit 1 pulls out his magnum and starts shooting at them, but he sees some of the retreating troops do something suspicious. A Royal Guard says, “Troops, we got them on the run, charge!” A group of Royal Guard chase after the retreating soldiers. Unit 1 yells out, “Wait you…” The group gets in the middle of an explosive trap. “Fucking idiots.” A head flies in the air and lands near by his feet. Unit 1 turns to the head and says, “Well, you died as you fought, very quickly.” A few of the survivors struggle to fly, limp, or crawl towards Unit 1. Unit 1 turns to them and says sarcastically, “I got an idea, let’s not follow the retreating troops with booby traps and regroup with the others. Does that sound like a good idea?” The wounded soldiers agree with him and they follow.
When on the way to the main Royal Guard front, they hear explosions in the background. Unit 1 exhales and says, “I think I know where the others are. I’ll call in some supplies and a new ride.” One of the guards asks, “How are…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Keep your blood in and ask questions, later.”
Unit 1 gets on the radio, “LE, I need a case full of medkits, a troop carrier Warthog, more grenades, and umm… what would you recommend a Sniper Rifle or my SAW for attacking a castle.” LE says, “Most of your requested supplies are coming by pelican, your medkits should be there within seconds, and there are some presents for you in the delivery.” Unit 1 asks, “What type of presents.” Crazy D says, “Shh, don’t tell him, I want it to be a surprise.”
Meanwhile nearby Canterlot Castle, most of the others are massing together in front of the castle. Princess Celestia turns to Derpy and says, “Ditzy Doo, I would like to thank you for your personal sacrifice of going through the traps first.” Derpy says while covered in ashes, “Wow, I’m being thanked by the Princess.” She faints.
Captain Butterscotch gets up from a nearby medical tent and makes his way to the front. A high ranking guard follows the captain and says, “Sir, your spell didn’t work.” The captain says, “I can see that but, I have faith in my troops to get Canterlot back.” The guard says, “Sir, we only have the castle to get back.” The Captain says, “Good job, Black Storm. Now we take back the castle.” He looks around. “I see we have Discord, both of the Princesses, and the Elements of Harmony are on our side.” Captain Butterscotch turns to is troops and says, “Royal Guard, let’s take the castle back. Charge!” Most of the Royal Guard and Discord charge at the front gate while the others stay back, questioning the captain’s tactic of getting the castle back.
Get the hell out of my castle
Mad Horse troops see the incoming attack and quickly get ready. One of the commanding officers screams, “Get the snipers and the new machine guns ready.” Some of the MH troopers already start firing their guns and flares at the incoming attackers. When the Royal Guard tries to attack back, a few of them actually do some damage against MH troopers, while the others bump into each other or accidentally engage in friendly fire on their fellow soldiers. The castle’s new defenders laugh at the fails in the Royal Guard’s ranks. The snipers arrive and start firing at the charging troops. Their first of many victims was Captain Butterscotch. The commanding officer says, “Never mind about the machine guns, we don’t need them.”
After seeing their captain and a lot of their fellow guards fall, they get scared and try to make a run for it. Discord flies over the Royal Guard and snaps his fingers. The attacking MH troopers’ weapons turn into rubber guns. The Royal Guard retreat even faster with the sight of their new advantage.
Before Discord could do more damage against MH troopers, beams from the castle capture Discord and bring him to the courtyard. Another commanding officer says, “Quick, cut off his thumbs. Without his thumbs, he can’t use his powers even if he does get out.” A pyro pulls out an ax while a trooper comes up with a blade coming out of his glove. The trooper and the commanding officer begin to laugh deviously and even the pyro, in his muzzled voice, laughs along with his comrades. Discord laughs and says, “You guys are kidding… right?” The pyro and the trooper get closer and Discord stops laughing. “No, don’t take away my favorite toys. I’ll fight for you if you...” The officer says, “Shut up, you had your chance but you chose who your loyalty is to. I’m pretty sure you need to lie in order to be a decent chaos god. Now boys, cut off his power.” The pyro chops off the thumb of the lion paw while the trooper cuts off the claw thumb of the eagle claw and Discord screams in pain. The officer pulls out his gauntlet’s blade and stabs Discord. He grunts and says, “Really? The same spot.” The officer starts sucking out Discord’s powers.
Missiles fly out of nowhere and hit all over a part of the castle and it’s walls. They blow up some MH troops including some with the god catching equipment. Discord gets free from the beams, but he was too weak to do anything else. The officer pulls out the needle and says, “Colts, we got what Mad Horse wants. Run into the castle!” The pryo and the soldier say, “Yes, sir.” They run into the castle and leave behind Discord’s bones and skin body.
Meanwhile in the sky, a Pelican transporter goes over the sky blasting MH troops with it’s missiles and heavy machine guns. They try to fight back with their bullets and flares but they bounce off of the Pelican’s armor. Unit 1 says while in the pilot’s seat, “Ha, ha, their little 30 caliber guns and flares can’t hurt the Pelican. I still can’t believe I wasn’t the one to think of taking the Pelican instead of the Warthog.” The Royal Guard in the pelican have new UNSC armor and weapons. An earth pony Royal Guardsman or in this case, Royal Guardspony says, “You have strange animals where ever you came from.” Unit 1 says, while giving MH troops hell, “These aren’t animals, they’re machines. The engineers name these rides, not me.” The Royal Guardspony asks, “Your engineers must be really smart to make these…” Unit 1 shhes him.
One of the officers says on the radio, “This is Major Havoc, I got Discord’s energy and I’m getting the prince now. Requesting an evac, now.” One of the pilots says, “Sorry, we cannot help…” Mad Horse says, “Blast the shield, now.” The pilot says, “But aren’t we going to wait for the shields to go down.” Mad Horse says, “Plans have changed and unlike those idiots who attacked without my orders, we are going to destroy the shield instead of charging into it.”
Unit 1 says, “That sounds bad. Ok, you guys remember everything in the conscript video that Crazy D gave us.” Most of the guardponies either nod their heads, say yes, or both. One of them says, “I didn’t pay attention.” Unit 1 says, “Ok, either you learn quickly on the battlefield or you’re fucked.”
The Pelican descends to a spot with a lot of cover and releases the warthog that was attached to it. Unit 1 says, “Ok, you’re Ground Squad. Your orders are simple; find the prince and secure a spot for me to pick you guys up.” One of the Guardponies asks, “What about Discord’s…” Missiles and bullets from the outside ships destroy the magic shield and they move in. Unit 1 says, “We’ll worry about that when we get there. Move out!” Ground Squad gets out of the Pelican and the Pelican flies off to fight Mad Horse’s air force.
Meanwhile, at a secret entrance, the forces that didn’t follow the ex captain Butterscotch, are barely coming out. Twilight sees that her shield is destroyed and tries to make another shield, but a short energy beam hits her horn and covers it with a strange energy. It cancels her spell. Twilight and the rest of a small strike force turn around to see a group of MH troopers shooting at them. They go for cover and attack back. Both sides take casualties.
Applejack turns to Twilight and asks her, “I thought ya said, you and Princess Cadance were the only ones who knew about those passages?” Twilight says, “I thought we were the only ones, but those passages are like a maze, I don’t how they would follow us.”
After a blast from the party cannon, Pinkie Pie says, “I’ll ask them.” She screams to the enemy, “How did you find us?” One of the bigger MH troopers says, “We’ll never tell…” A random trooper interrupts, “We followed the trail of streamers and shiny powder.” The big soldier smacks the random soldier. The nearby Royal Guard and even a few of the Mane 6 look at Pinkie Pie with dirty looks. She says, “Oops.”
A guardpony look to the sky and says, “Look, the shield is gone.” Another guardpony turns to him and says, “You just noticed?” The first guardpony takes a closer look at the sky and says, “There are metal birds in the sky and they are attacking each other. It looks like most of them are just attacking one in…” He gets a shot to the head. The other guardpony gets down and says under his breath, “I always knew that Observer would die talking.” He continues fighting.
Meanwhile in the dogfight, Unit 1 takes out most of Mad Horse’s air force. He sees Mad Horse’s command ship and goes straight at it. The command ship’s guns fire and destroy the Pelican’s missile launchers. The Pelican flies over the ship and fires its machine guns at the giant ship. The bullets bounce off the command ships armor.
LE says, “Unit 1, abort attack. You don’t have the firepower to take that ship.” Unit 1 says as he turns the Pelican, “But, I do have the mass.” Crazy D says, “Aw man, you’re doing something epic now, but I have to pee.” Unit 1 says as he sets his ship to ramming speed, “Hold it in or miss the action.” Crazy D says, “Fine, I’ll hold it.”
Before the Pelican rams into the command ship’s engine, Unit 1 ejects and uses his new jet pack to land on the enemy ship. He runs on it to get out of the blast zone. The engine explodes and the command ship begins to crash towards the nearby mountain.
Unit 1 sees a tower and uses his jet pack to get on its balcony. He rolls into Celestia’s bedroom and interrupts a poker game between a pyro, core trooper, missile trooper, and a sniper. Before they could react, Unit 1 quickly draws his Magnum and kills the enemy soldiers.
Thanks to a new upgrade chip that Crazy D put on the Pelican, Unit 1 can hold up to a total of 4 weapons at a time and his grenade capacity is 4 each. Unit 1 inspects his gear and notices that he has less ammo for his guns.
Unit 1 calls Crazy D on the radio, “Hey Crazy D, your upgrade messed up the ammo capacity on my guns.” LE says, “I’ll do a scan on the chip and your armor.” Unit 1’s armor glows for a couple of seconds and then LE says, “Both scans are complete. It appears that the chip has a side effect, the more weapons you hold, the less ammo you can carry, but it also works the other way around as well.” Unit 1 says, “I hope you can fix that side effect when I come back.”
A thump is heard from the closet. Unit 1 goes into the closet and investigates. He finds Prince Blueblood all tied up, beaten up and surprisingly not bleeding. Unit 1 says, as he unties him, “Looks like they gave you the royal pain treatment.” The prince says after he rips the tape off of his mouth, “Oooww! You couldn’t have done that more gently, you…” Blueblood takes a closer look at the Spartan and says in fear “yooouu.” He faints.
Unit 1 says on the radio, “Guys, I got good news and bad news, good news is I found Prince Blueblood, and bad news is he fainted.” One of the guardponies says, “That doesn’t sounds like bad news to me.” Unit 1 says, “It is for me since I have to carry him around the battlefield.” Crazy D says, “Since you guys are on the radio; Ground Squad, go and help your friends. I’ll show you where they are with a crater.” Unit 1 says, “What a minute, this is...”
Crazy D types on a keyboard and LE says, “Firing MAC (Magnetic Accelerator Canon) round.” A loud roar is heard from the sky, a blinding light suddenly appears and it crashes to the ground as fast as it appeared. It explodes and kills a majority of Mad Horse’s troops. Surprisingly, Most of the castle and the surviving walls are still intact. There is a fog of smoke and dust in the air.
When Unit 1 gets out of the tower with the knocked out prince on his shoulder, he gets on the radio and says, “Ground Squad, are you guys still alive?” A guardpony says, “There are 4 of us left after that light appeared.” Unit 1 says, “Crazy D, what were you thinking, using a MAC round so close to us?” A guardpony says, “Whoever this Mac is, I don’t want to anger him, again.” Crazy D says, “Don’t worry, Pinkie knew that MAC was coming and got her group into the secret tunnel network.” A guardpony asks, “We have secret tunnels?” Unit 1 asks, “I think the better question is what makes you think that they know that MAC was already coming?” Crazy D answers, “That’s easy, Pinkie read ahead and alerted her friends.” Unit 1 asks, “Huh?” Crazy D says, “Pinkie and I can break the 4th wall so…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Did you fire MAC rounds at 3 more walls?” Crazy D sighs and says, “It’s hard to explain our power so I’ll give you guys the location of the tunnel that they are going to come out of.”
A marker appears on Ground Squad’s and Unit 1’s mini maps. Unit 1asks, “Why didn’t you do this sooner?” Crazy D says, “Oh, to thin out the enemies’ numbers by a lot and the fact that I just remembered the code for the MAC cannon. Unit 1 faceplams himself and starts to walk towards the marked area. He says on the radio, “Ground Squad meet me at the marked point.” All of the guardponies says, “Yes, sir.”
When Unit 1 arrives at the marked location with Blueblood; Ground Squad was there taking a breather. Unit 1 puts down the prince nearby the troops and says, “Looks like you guys learn quickly. That’s what going to keep you alive.” A Royal guardpony says, “Thanks, I think.”
Mad Horse’s voice says on the radio, “All surviving troops regroup at the flare.” A flare goes up in the air.
Unit 1 turns to Ground Squad and says, “You guys hold the ground here and defend off any attackers.”A Royal guardpony asks, “What are you going to do?” Unit 1 says, “I’m going to go after the enemy survivors.” The pony asks, “Why can’t we use Mac?” Unit 1 says as he leaves, “Because it would be a waste of a MAC round on such little numbers.”
Meanwhile right below the rally flare, a group of MH troopers are waiting for their leader. One of the noob soldiers asks another soldier, “Do you really think that the big boss is still alive after that crash?” A horse in steel armor and a machine arm says, “Mad Horse always lives through everything and this will be no exception.” The noob asks, “Who the hay are you?” The steel armored soldier says, “I’m one the new Vulcan Gunner Troopers.”
The sound of gunfire and screams of pain and death are heard in the distance. Some of the MH troops are pointing at the fog with their shaking guns. More screams and gunfire are heard. The sounds grow closer as every second passed by. A glowing figure appears as the dust starts to disappear. Paranoid troops fire at it without checking if it was friend or foe.
Major Havoc says, “Hold your fire! You’re wasting ammo.” He turns to the glowing figure. “Sorry, sir. The troops are a little trigger happy because of a metal monster running around.”
The figure turns out to be Mad Horse. (A big red demon like horse with razor sharp claws instead of hooves and orange glowing eyes and belly as well as lines on his limbs.) He says, “You mean the hired gun? That’s strange he should be back in his own time being famed from what Crazy D did… oh well.” His troops were shocked at what Mad Horse said.
Havoc asks, “That thing is one of…” A bullet flies through the air and hits a major part of his equipment. The equipment begins to glow and make strange noises. Nearby troops scatter for cover. Havoc’s equipment explodes and creates a pink cloud that quickly turns into a pink fog of chaos. The fog takes a few victims, lifts up a few feet in the air, and explodes like fireworks.
Unit 1 is behind some cover and looks through his DMR’s scope to see the results of the pink fog. He sees a pile of white ash, a puddle of glowing orange goop, a chocolate statue, and a figure made of cotton candy. Unit 1 gets on the radio and says, “I possibly sighted Mad Horse and I see 4 casualties…” He walks down. “I’m going to check if he’s one of them.”
Crazy D says, “Wait a minute…Mad Horse? Unit 1 get out of there. He’s going to kill you.” Unit 1 says as he examines the chocolate statue, “Crazy D, I’m trained to kill anyone or anything besides what doesn’t try to kill me.” He looks closer at the statue’s back. “I think this is the poor bastard that had the mutant freak’s powers with the signs of exploded gear at least from the back.” Crazy D says, “That’s nice, get out of there!”
As Unit 1 inspects the white ash, a shotgun slowly comes out of the orange goop. The goop forms an arm and a claw followed by the rest of its arm and Mad Horse’s head with an evil smile.
Unit 1 says on the radio, “The white ash is sugar.” Crazy D says, “Well those are interesting last words.” Unit 1 looks at the radar. Mad Horse points his shotgun at Unit 1. Unit 1 quickly draws his magnum, turns, shoots Mad Horse’s arm off, and shoots his head. Unit 1 sarcastically says, “Oh, were you trying to be sneaky. Well… you failed.” The body falls to the ground.
Unit 1 walks away, gets on the radio, and says, “Hey Crazy D, Mad Horse is dead and we won. Now, take me home, you, oeace breaking bastard.” Crazy D says, “You can’t kill Mad Horse.” Unit 1 says as he turns around, “What are you talking about…” One of Mad Horse’s claws scratches Unit 1’s helmet, rips off part of it, gets a few cuts on Unit 1’s face, and breaks his earpiece.
Unit 1 was surprised to see Mad Horse fully recovered from his attack and shoots him with remaining ammo in his magnum. As he reloads, he witnesses Mad Horse’s amazing regeneration power and how fast it worked. They begin an epic fight and MH troopers watch the fight from out or behind cover. He used all ammo from his guns (SAW, Magnum, DMR, and SMG (sub machine gun)) but they didn’t work on the demon. He tried his grenades but most of them failed to do anything expect the cyro grenades which only slowed down Mad Horse and his regeneration powers. Unit 1 tried to fight back with weapons, he got from some of the audience, but their weapons didn’t work either. The fight felt like it lasted for hours. Mad Horse eventually broke most of Unit 1’s armor and clawed through a bunch of Unit 1’s skin and some minor damage to a few of his organs and bones. MH troops cheered as they knew it was the end for the metal demon.
Unit 1 could barely stand up; he pulls out his dagger, and yells out, “I’m going to die standing, alien!” He flips the knife to cover his mouth and he whispers to it, “Looks like you’re going to be by yourself grandpa.” Mad Horse attacks with final blow. Unit 1 dodges the attack and stabs Mad Horse really hard in the eye. Mad Horse screams in pain while he does another attack. The attack pushes Unit 1 on his back and he finally faints. Mad horse looks at the messed up body and notices that Unit 1’s heart is still beating. Mad Horse’s minions started chanting for Mad Horse to finish the Spartan.
Before Mad Horse could deliver the final blow, a hologram comes out of a strange device nearby Unit 1’s heart. Mad Horse stops his attack and he and his troops look at the hologram.
It appeared to be one of Firewalker’s recordings and starts to play. It shows a young man with burn marks all over his head and has patches of short hair in an UNSC uniform looking at the camera funny and he says, “Hey, Silent is this thing recording?” The camera shakes up and down. After the camera stops shaking, Firewalker continues, “If you are still alive, you haven’t killed my friend, yet; because he has a weird looking device. Well, I’m here to tell you it is a bomb that might work. It is suppose to go off when he dies but I don’t know if it will. Two things might happen if you kill him. My Light and Dark Mass bomb will rip, suck you up and blow your army off of the planet or nothing will happen. Just in case, nothing happens.” He flips both birds. A few seconds later, the hologram message ends.
Mad Horse thinks about the situation and then says, “We’ll kill him later after we get the bomb out of him. I don’t want to rebuild the capital from scratch.”
One of MH troopers goes up to Mad Horse shaking and says nervously, “Sir, we don’t have enough troopers to maintain Canterlot.” The soldier quickly puts 2 hooves in front of his face and says in fear, “Please don’t kill me.” Mad Horse says, “So, you gave me bad news. Well then, you’re getting promoted.” The soldier says excitedly, “Really?” Mad Horse says, “Yes, really. I do it because I hate when my soldiers tell me the bad news late because they think I’ll kill them if they get told bad news.”
Another soldier says, “Well in that case, some of the Under Kickers are too damaged to use.” Mad Horse says, “You get promoted.”
A Vulcan Gunner says, “I think you suck.” Mad Horse says, “Then, you die.” He rips the Vulcan Gunner apart.
After the carnage, Mad Horse turns to his troops and says, “Remember troopers there is a difference between bad news and insults. Now troops, booby trap the broken Under Kickers and let’s get out of here.” He picks up Unit 1’s body. A soldier asks, “What about taking over Canterlot to control Equestria?” Mad Horse says, “Don’t worry I have a plan B.”
Somewhere under… [You know what, I can’t figure where this chapter takes place even on my well drawn map. So…] somewhere underground in an Under Kicker, Mad Horse gets on the radio with his head commanders. Mad Horse says to his commanders, “The invasion failed due to an unexpected twist in my plan and I’ll deal with this loose end, soon.” A hyper-crazed voice says, “I bet Crazy D was the one who told him about the plan. I knew that he was crazy but he was never my kind of crazy.” Mad Horse says, “It is most likely Crazy D telling him the plan or this ‘hired gun’ figured out what was going on by himself. As soon we get his bomb off, it won’t matter what this man knows.” A voice says, “A bomb!?” Mad Horse says, “As I said, it won’t matter. Now, you all know plan B so do it.”
Several voices confirm the order except for one who asks, “Before we attack, can someone remind me what’s our army’s name is again?” A taunting voice says, “You don’t remember the name of your army, Whiterun?” The voice laughs. Whiterun says, “I mean the name of all of our armies as a whole.” The other commanders including Mad Horse were unable to answer the question. Mad Horse says, “You know what, that’s a good question, let’s talk about this right now.” He sits, turns to a MH trooper and orders him to get him paper and a pencil.
Meanwhile in another Under Kicker, there are a couple of MH troopers guarding the unconscious Spartan and one of them looks at a data pad and he is greatly amused. Another trooper looks over his fellow trooper’s shoulder and asks, “What’s that, Rick?” Rick says, “It’s that Spartan’s file, Tony.” Tony looks over at Unit 1 and asks Rick, “You mean that thing over there?” Rick says, “Yeah, according to this file, it is basically a god of war.” Tony says, “I know he’s hard to kill but how is he a god?” Rick shows him Unit 1’s file. “Holy Crud, that thing has a lot of resistance to well… everything.” As Tony looks deeper into the file, Rick says, “That thing can survive falling from space without any suit, it can hold its breath for about 20 minutes, and a lot of other things by brutal training.” Tony asks, “What do you mean by brutal training?” Rick says, “Kicking ass and getting his ass kicked in a digital reality and real life or at least that’s what the summary of the training says. I’m not kidding, look it up. ”
A pryo in a flameproof mask and sunglasses looks at them and asks, “What are you guts looking at?” Tony says, “That Spartan’s file and according to it, it had to go through surgeries to improve its natural strength and toughness. They replaced his sweat with some form of formula that cleans the body, wounds, and clothes and to gets rid of any smell, and a few other things.” Rick says, “It says that every Spartan had to do it while awake, some of them don’t survive the surgeries.” The pyro says, “We know that he’s a super soldier and we have to kill him as soon as possible. So I have a simple idea, we use knock out drugs on it and then stab ht in the heart. This plan is sweet, simple and effective.”
The 2 HM troopers look through the file and after a few minutes, Rick says, “The Spartan doesn’t have resistance to knock out drugs and his heart is kind of exposed so… with the open wound, and with a hard enough blow it could finish it.” The Pyro says while pulling out his ax, “Dibs on his AXECUTION.”
Meanwhile with Mad Horse, he finishes his discussion. He says on the radio with his officer, “Alright we agree that our basic army name is the Mad Stallions. I’m glad we got that out of the way. Now begin Plan B!” The officers say, “Yes sir.” They get ready with the plan.
Mad Horse radios in the Under Kicker with the Spartan in it and he says, “Sergeant Axen are you there?” The pryo gets on the radio, “Yes Mad Horse, what is your order?” Mad Horse says while typing, “I’m sending you coordinates to our ally’s new front base to send the delayed death to.” Axen gets the coordinates and says, “I’ll go there now, sir.” Axen hangs up.
An hour almost passes and Mad Horse’s armies take over all of the roads and bridges and secure some of the air traffic in Equestria. The Mad Stallions all secure the beaches and the ocean surrounding the Griffin Kingdom and some of the nearby roads. They quickly set up defenses, roadblocks, and camps all over their new territories. This was step one in his backup plan to take over the planet, cutting off every nation and intelligent species from each other to make conquering the planet easier and quicker.
Meanwhile in the UNSC base, the base has barely got upgraded to a Station. (It has the barracks and a supply pad built and the reactor is almost complete). The Lunar Eye gives Brick communication to her satellite and a new program. The base has everypony in UNSC uniforms and most of them are in the barracks training or getting healed.
When the Reactor was completed, the Princesses come into the Command Room to check the updates on the base. Brick sees them and says, “Ahh… it’s you 2, I believe we need a restart on our first impression. Hello I’m Brick this Station’s Artificial Intelligence.” Celestia says, “I’m Princess Celestia, Princess of the Day, and Riser of the Sun.” Luna says in her royal voice, “I am Princess Luna, Princess of the Night, and Riser of the Moon!” Brick says, “Do you mind watching the volume of your voice, you almost cracked my screens.” Luna says in a normal tone, “Sorry I’m still working on that.” Brick says, “I would like to thank you for the donations you 2 made to this base and war that I need to improve the base and it’s arsenal.” Luna says, “Thou are welcome.” Celestia says, “The local banks are also making donations, when we told them what was going on.” Brick asks, “Who or what are we…”
Red lights start flashing and a loud alarm activates from the hologram table. Brick turns off the alarm and the lights. A hologram of a white teenage girl with pink flowing hair appears on the table. Brick says to the teenager, “You must be the satellite AI. I never received your name, what is it?” The girl says, “My name is Tia Light and I can’t wait to use my solar weaponry.” Celestia and Luna take a closer at the A.I. but before they can say anything Tia Light says, “I’ve got the global map ready, showing it on hologram, now.”
A hologram of the planet appears on top of the table and it shows all the territories, cities, towns, and capitals on the planet. A green dot appears and covers Canterlot and a small part of the local land on the holo-map with the UNSC logo nearby it. Tia Light says, “Here is all of our territory… it not much, but a little territory is better than no territory.”
White dots appear all over the map and pictures of the governments and/or races that have control of those areas. Tia says, “These are the planet’s governments’ and tribes’ territories.” Celestia looks at the map and says, “I know that some of these governments and tribes have more territories.” Tia says, “You mean they had more territories. Brace yourselves the next thing that I’m got to show you will shock you.”
The rest of the globe is filled with red and pictures of Mad Horse’s head. Tia light says, “This is all the territory controlled by Mad Horse. The Princesses look at it with shock and Brick quickly types on his holo-board and says on the speakers, “All commanding officers report to the command room.” Celestia says in a microphone, “Can Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie please come to the command room as well.”
After a couple of minutes, all of the surviving high ranking guards including Black Storm and the Mane 6, arrive in the room. Pinkie Pie is disappointed at the picture of her back that Brick gave her (In to get her to leave) and to gets Fluttershy and Rarity from the medical ward. One of the sergeants thanks Fluttershy for helping him out of the medical ward.
Brick’s hologram appears life size in the middle of the room. He uses a loud speaker to get the room’s attention and then says, “Hello I’m Brick the Artificial Intelligence or AI of this base and we have a problem…” An alarm echoes through the base and Tia says as the red parts of the holo-globe go into the white parts, “And the problem just got bigger, Mad Horse’s troops are on the attack. Most of the other nations and factions are failing or surrendering to the attackers. Each attack has the troops well armed and supplied and hundreds to thousands to fight the defender’s army or militias or having the locals to surrender. They are even prepared to fight the dragons and minators.” Everyone looks at the globe with shock and surprise of how short the battles were, except Pinkie Pie, who was concentrating on her picture.
Luna gets an idea for a plan and she says to Celestia, “I have a plan that can buy us some time.” She rushes out of the room.
Brick analyzes the holo-globe and then says, “The only thing we can do now is evacuation of either the Crystal Empire or the Griffin Empire. We can only do one.” Everyone expect Rainbow Dash said or yelled out, “Save the Crystal Empire!” Rainbow Dash has a hard time picking which friend(s) to save. She still has a connection with Glida even though she was a jerk the last time that they met, but saving Princess Cadence and Shining Armor was also on the top of her list to. Her choice was made up by the others.
Brick says, “Alright get a couple of the troops and prepare to launch in the Pelican Hanger as soon as possible.” Most of the ponies leave out of the room in a hurry. Princess Celestia wonders in her mind, ‘should I stay here and defend my own castle or go and help save Cadence.’ Twilight stops and turns to her teacher and asks, “Are you coming, Princess Celestia?”
Before she can answer, a red light blinks, Twilight, Celestia, and Fluttershy turn to Brick and Pinkie Pie stares the red light. Brick says as the red light turns off, “A silent alarm has activated and we have an unknown intruder inside the base. Only thing I can describe about it is that it has mixed DNA. Showing it on screen, now”
One of the computer screens reveals Discord exploring the base. Twilight says, “That’s Discord our…umm…” Fluttershy says, “He’s our friend.” Discord plays parts in the Reactor. Brick says, “Get your friend away from the Reactor before he blows it up.” Pinkie Pie says, “I’ll get him.” She reacts to one side of the room and somehow pulls Discord in the Command Room.
Celestia says, “Take Discord on the mission he can help you while I stay here and I’ll help the defense. I don’t want Canterlot to fall ever again.” Discord asks, “What is this…” Brick interrupts is “All of you get to the Pelican transports, inform Discord on the way to the Crystal Empire.”
Twilight and Pinkie Pie hurry out of the door with a nervous Fluttershy and a grinning Discord behind him.
After a few minutes, a bunch of Pelicans with the ponies and Discord leave to Crystal Empire. The moon raises it up to the sky and Princess Celestia see it, catches on to Luna’s plan and she uses her magic to lower the sun from the sky.
Cutting it close, a little too close
A Shard of Hope
After a few hours of fighting, the Crystal Empire is covered with lights craters, smoke, and shards of crystals. Mad Stallions flood the streets with scary-looking troops and vehicles. Most of the population, including the local military, is either dead, taken prisoner, or hiding in the surrounding snowy wasteland.
The ponies left in the city are stuck in the Crystal Tower. The Crystal Guard waits by the doors, waiting for the magic shield surrounding the tower to break. Civilians are hiding and hoping for someone to save them. Even the royals have their problems; Princess Cadance is on a sofa with bullet holes all over her body and Prince (or Captain or whatever term you want to use) Shining Armor was left with the responsibility of protecting the remaining crystal ponies including Cadance, defending the Crystal Heart, commanding the last stand, and keeping the the magic shield up.
Prince Shining Armor says, “This looks like the end.” Princess Candence says, “I think this makes three times we were in life threatening danger.” Shining Armor says in a disappointed tone, “And I bet Twilight will save our flanks again.” Cadence asks him, “What’s the worry, dear… other than the fact that the Crystal Empire is falling.” Shining Armor says, “That’s just it, I have always failed to protect my city and all the ponies that live in it. We get saved by some form of miracle.” Cadance says, “But we had a major part in getting it back the kingdom.” Shining Armor says, “But it was always my fault that the shield breaks and I fail to hold them back from the city.”
Before Cadence could say anything to boost her husband’s spirit, a loud screech fills the air and then a loud voice says, “This is General Line Breaker; I’m here to talk about your surrender. But if you want to fight us, we’ll make sure that you’ll ‘fall’ hard. I’ll give you 5 minutes to come downstairs and tell me your decision.”
Shining Armor says, “I better get going, I don’t want to risk any more lives, even yours, my love.” Princess Candence lays down in silence as Shining Armor leaves the room; she wanted to convince him to keep the defense up but she also wanted to keep her ponies safe and surrendering seemed like the better choice for her empire.
3 minutes had passed; most of the Mad Stallions are celebrating their victory while others are placing explosives on the main support beams of the tower. Shining Armor makes his way to the front door.
The Halo theme echoes through in the air and 7 UNSC Pelicans are flying over the nearby snowy land.
Inside one of the Pelicans, Applejack is trying to turn off the music but she can’t. She says, “How do you turn this darn thing off?” The pilot says, “I don’t know, I barely know how to fly this thing.” Applejack turns around and says, “I got’s an idea that might work.” Before Applejack gets a chance to kick the controls, Lunar Eye gets on the radio and she says, “Don’t do that, these are the controls to the Pelican, if you destroy them, it will either send this transporter into another friendly ship or will directly crash into the surface of the Crystal Empire’s streets.” Applejack puts her rear hooves down and quickly goes to a seat and awkwardly sits down while the rest of the passengers give her strange looks.
Inside the lead Pelican, Fluttershy is sitting nervously and she says, “I’m getting thoughts about this.” Twilight turns to Fluttershy and says to her, “Remember Fluttershy, we’re here to get Candence, Shining Armor, and the other crystal ponies while avoiding gunfire from Mad Horse’s troops… for some reason that last part sounded better in my head.”
Discord says, “I’m happy to get payback on those guys and show them why I’m the god of chaos. Nobody takes away my powers and lives to make fun of me in pleasure. Besides, if anypony can beat me, I would be a joke rather than a god of chaos.”
Lunar Eye gets on all the Pelican’s radios, “Hello I’m the Lunar Eye, I’m going to be your over watch AI for this battle. I would like to congratulate newly promoted Lead Commander Black Storm for his new rank. The primary objective of this mission is…” Discord interrupts, “To save the crystal ponies we all know that.” Lunar Eye continues, “Correction, it is to extract the survivors from the Crystal Tower.” Twilight asks, “What about the rest of the Crystal Empire?” Lunar Eye says, “They are either scattered or are part of the casualties.”
There is a moment of silence in the Pelican with whispers from a few of the Royal Guardponies.
Meanwhile at the base of the Crystal Tower, Shining Armor is going outside the tower in the Crystal Plaza to meet General Line Breaker, face to face.
The general was as big as a buffalo and looked threatening without scary add-ons that most of the other troops had. General Line Breaker says in his deep voice, “I hope you’re here to talk about your surrender and not trying to do something risky that might result in the pain and death of your remaining forces.” Shining Armor says, “I’m here to talk about our surrender.” Line Breaker says, “Good, we’ll talk about this inside a nice restaurant we kept…”
A Mad Statllion trooper goes up to them and says, “Crazy D’s forces were sighted by our ‘Shepherds’ coming this way.” Line Breaker says, “Oh no, not him.” Shining Armor asks, “Who’s Crazy D?” Line Breaker says, “The most confusing and annoying man… no wait living thing, which I have to deal with as an ally. Trust me if I could get rid of him I would get rid of him.” He takes a deep breath and continues, “You know what, let’s talk about your surrender at the foundation.”
The prince and the general walk to the fountain. On the way to the fountain, Shining Armor asks, “What wrong with Crazy D?” Line Breaker answers at the fountain, “There are a lot of things wrong with him; my main problems with him are that he comes into battles when he feels like it, he talks about complete nonsense in our conversations, and he attacks us when he is thinking about his problems with his dad. If you don’t mind, can we…”
Another MS trooper says, “Crazy D’s forces have been sighted outside of the city.” General Line Breaker says to Shining Armor, “How about we talk about your surrender later in your tower. I’ll send one of my commanding officers and a hoof full of troops to prevent any unwanted surprises.”
Line Breaker orders 7 of his troopers to escort Shining Armor back into the Crystal Tower. Line Breaker goes off to meet (in his opinion) the brat of the entire Mad Stallion army.
A MS trooper lights a flare for a landing zone for Crazy’s D Pelicans. Before they could contact the Pelicans, the pelicans start firing at the Mad Stallions. General Line Breaker gets on the radio and says in anger, “Crazy D, I know you have issues with Mr. D but that doesn’t mean you start shooting at us. Or did you forget we’re on the same side, you team-killing brat?”
Some of the ponies in the Pelicans were either confused or shocked. Discord laughs at this discovery. Twilight looks at Discord and asks him, “What are you laughing about?” Discord says, “I have a theory of what is going…”
General Line Breaker and some of MS troops start to hear conversations from the Pelicans and they quickly realize those weren’t Crazy D’s ‘tin foil’ robots. The Mad Stallions started fighting back hard (well… harder) when they learned this wasn’t a stupid and pointless attack by Crazy D.
The battle got fierce when the Shield Buster tanks started firing at the Pelicans and quickly took 2 of them out. The Lunar Eye says on the radio, “Try to secure landing zones to deploy troops on the field and try to get some in the tower so you can secure the last of the crystal ponies.”
Another Pelican gets destroyed and it crashes into the Crystal Tower. Discord says to the Royal Guard, “Well… good luck everypony and cause as much chaos as possible.”
With a snap of his fingers, the remaining force in buildings and in the tower. The Mad Stallions quickly get overwhelmed in garrisoned positions with their enemies appearing out of nowhere.
While in the tower, the MS squad that was sent in surrounds the crashed Pelican. They were surprised to see that some of it was barely touched while the rest of it was wrecked. They hear movement within the Pelican. The high ranking officer says to the muscular trooper, “Sergeant Bruce, can you exterminate the vermin in that hull,” Bruce says while getting out his war hammer, “With pleasure, boss.”
Bruce charges into the opening doors of the Pelican. The ponies inside were surprised to see Bruce in his size and his choice of weapon. Bruce smashes and crushes a few of the ponies inside. He closes the doors and continues his attack. Within the next minute, the sounds of screams, bullets, magic beams, and smashing metal fill the room and then, it got silent.
Bruce opens the doors; there are blood and pony bodies all over the hull. Bruce says, “Add 14 to my kill count, Ken.” One of the MS troopers grabs a note pad and writes on it. When he stops writing and says, “Looks like you’re 10 kills behind Buzz Saw.” Bruce looks and asks, “Where is that guy?” The troops look around the room. One of the troopers says, “It so easy losing track of that guy.”
Meanwhile in the throne room, the royals are trying calm down their subject. The doors suddenly open and a few of the Crystal Guard react by attacking the things entering.
Twilight uses her quick magic to stop the attacks and the attackers. Rainbow Dash says, “Hey, we’re here to save you.” Shining Armor and Cadence look at Twilight and say, “Twili?” Twilights says, “Shining Armor, Cadence.” They get in a group hug and Shining Armor says, “It’s good to see you, again. After we heard an awful rumor about something terrible happening to you, we thought that you and your friends were…”
3 pieces of sharp metal quickly fly through the air and claim 3 victims for death.
Cutting it close, a little too close
Everyone gasps at the sight of the fallen royal guards. A scary mechanical voice says, “I hate it when somepony gets in front of your shot.”
Everyone looks at a metal horse that stands on 2 hooves and has 3 buzz saws and a big nail gun at the end of it’s limbs. It begins to charge at them. Shining Armor uses his magic to get the Mane 6 and their forces in the throne room and Princess Cadance uses her magic to close the doors. The doors slam on the metal Horse, on it’s face.
Twilight asks, “Who or what was that?” Shining Armor says, “That’s Buzz Saw, one of the soldiers that was sent by General Line Breaker to make sure that we would surrender.” Rainbow Dash says in anger, “Why would you do something like that, you should have…” Shining Armor interrupts, “I needed to protect my ponies and surrendering was the only available way to save them from the massive attack.”
Pinkie Pie asks, “What’s that sound?” Everyone turns to the doors and witness the locks and handles falling off the door because of a saw. One of the doors is quickly kicked open and Buzz Saw charges into the room. A royal unicorn guardspony uses his magic to slam the door on Buzz Saw and he is knocked back.
Buzz Saw quickly recovers, shoves his nail gun through the hole of the door, and starts firing blindly in to the room. Some ponies quickly become part of the casualties. Everyone gets away from the door or goes into cover.
Pinkie Pie goes to one of the doors and starts chewing bubble gum. Twilight tries to get on the radio and she asks Pinkie Pie, “Pinkie what are you doing?” Pinkie tries to explain but her mouth was full of bubble gum and the roar of the nail gun didn’t help. Twilight asks, “What?” Pinkie raises a hoof and uses her hoof to put the chewed gum into the barrel of the nail gun. After a few shots, the gun gets jammed (or in this case gummed) up.
Twilight says in shock, “How did you…?” Pinkie Pie says, “You know how you say, ‘don’t bring or chew gum in the lab or you’ll get equipment sticky and maybe make it useless.’ So I thought about what you said and I got the idea to put my gum in his gun and it worked.”
Meanwhile outside the throne room, Buzz Saw is checking on his nail gun. He realizes that his range weapon is useless, the nail gun falls off and is replaced by a bladed claw.
The rest of his squad shows up and Buzz Saw says to them, “Guys, there are some ponies in the throne room that I don’t recognize.” One of the soldiers says, “Let me guess, they are wearing brown armor and they look different from the crystal ponies.” Buzz Saw says, “Now when I think about it, they did look slightly different and were armed with guns.” The high ranking officer says, “So they finally got into the throne room. Colts, I don’t know how they got in, but we’ll get them out… get into breaching position.” The squad says, “Yes sir, Lieutenant.”
The squad gets ready to charge while one of them plants small explosives on the doors. The Lieutenant starts counting, “3, 2, 1.” The doors explode and Mad Stallions charge into the throne room with help from the cover of dust from the destroyed doors. Bullets and magic beams fly through the air, followed by screams of pain and death. Casualties quickly are made on both sides, the Equestrian forces get a couple of dead and slightly more wounded while the Mad Stallions lost more than half of their forces.
Buzz Saw charges at Pinkie Pie and cuts her helmet in half. He is surprised to see that Pinkie Pie suddenly disappears into thin air. He turns around to get hit by a huge rubber chicken. Buzz Saw goes in for the attack, but he stops himself after looking into Pinkie’s eyes. Buzz Saw couldn't explain it, but he didn't have the urge to harm Pinkie.
Before Buzz Saw has time to think, Rainbow Dash pushes Buzz Saw away from Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash holds him down as best she can. Buzz Saw gets himself free and gives Rainbow Dash a few cuts on her armor and her skin. Rainbow Dash attacks with a tackle. Buzz Saw punches Rainbow Dash and she quickly counters with a kick (with both hooves) to the chest. Buzz Saw attacks with one of his saws. Pinkie Pie puts herself in front of Rainbow Dash and Buzz Saw to stop his attack. He tries to attack Rainbow Dash without hurting Pinkie Pie, but she jumps in front of the lethal attacks to protect her best friend.
A Mad Stallion charges in to help his squad-mate, but is intercepted by a punch from Rarity. The Mad Stallion takes a step back, wipes his snout, and says, “So you want to fight hoof to hoof…” He puts away his weapons and gets into a fighting stance. “Let’s see if you can put up a decent fight.” Rarity says as she gets in her fighting stance, “I have to warn you, I have 4 black belts.” The MS trooper says, “I have 6.” They start fighting in a fierce marshal art combat.
Most of the other ponies attack the worst of the threat, Bruce. He crushed almost half of their force. He took a lot of damage throughout the fight and he is slowing down but he is still fighting relentlessly with the power of adrenaline.
Applejack decides to one-up Bruce and he laughs at his small opponent. He says, “Out of all these runts, they have you try to finish me off.” Applejack starts attacking and Bruce fights back. “I was expecting to fight Captain Shining Armor. I guess he’s too much of a filly to fight me.”
Applejack kicks him hard and knocks Bruce back a few feet. She says, “Ya not so tough.” Bruce says, “You hit hard for such a little pony but I hit harder.” He punches Applejack but she stops the punch by kicking it.
After a few seconds, Bruce’s hoof slides down Applejack’s pants and rips it. The rip reveals her cutie mark. Bruce notices the cutie mark and says, “I know that tattoo, you’re one of the Apples aren't you. That makes you special.” Applejack asks, “What do ya mean?” Bruce says as he swings his hammer, “We’re collecting your Clan.” Applejack says in anger, “You've been ponynapping my family. Where are they?”
General Line Breaker says on the radio, “All forces retreat. I repeat all forces retreat.”
Buzz Saw follows orders and flees out of the room. The Mad Horse fighting Rarity says, “To be continued.” He says to Bruce as he runs to the doors, “Come on Bruce, we got to go.” Bruce says as he throws Applejack across the room, “Awww things just got good, Counter.” The high ranking officer covers his men… I mean horses. The officer says to Bruce, “Hurry up!” Bruce runs as fast as his wounded body could.
Applejack quickly recovers from the impact of the throw and she notices Bruce making a run for it. She kicks a nearby column to block his path. With the exit blocked, the MS squad had to leave Bruce behind hoping that he can get out of there by himself or to buy them some time.
Bruce tries to use his hammer to break the column, but a couple of bullets quickly immobilize him. The impact of most of the bullets makes Bruce spin and has his back to the column. Applejack says to the crowd, “Don’t hurt him, he knows where my family is.” Shining Armor says in a confused tone, “What do you mean?” Applejack says, “That colt told me that they are roundin’ up someplace and I need him to tell me where my family is.”
Everyone surrounds Bruce and Applejack asks him, “Where’s my family?”
Bruce notices that the Prince and Princesses of the Empire are nearby him. He says to the Prince, “You and your worthless body bags couldn't protect a gate let alone a city. A farm hoof got closer to beating me than you, poor excuse for a captain. I bet you can not even protect your wife” He pulls out a pistol and fires it at Cadence. Shining Armor use magic to push Cadence out of the way, to pick up some crystal pieces and throw them at Bruce. Bruce gets impaled by the crystals. He shoots the Prince’s horn off. Bruce says in a taunting tone, “What are you going to do without your magic? It was the only thing that was keeping you from being completely useless but now you’re the worst captain in history.”
Shining Armor gets upset, picks up an Assault Rifle from the ground and points it at Bruce. Applejack says to him, “Don’t…” Shining Armor unloads the entire clip at Bruce and says, “I’m not useless and I did a great job protecting my wife from you.” Bruce says as he bleeds to death, “You still lose.” He laughs at Shining Armor as he bleeds out and dies.
Applejack says to Shining Armor in a disappointed tone, “Darn it, Shining. He knew where they were keepin’ my family and now I might never see them again.” Shining Armor says, “Applejack, I’m…” Applejack interrupts, “I need some time alone.” She tries not to cry in front of her friends. Twilight says, “We’ll talk about it when we return to the Canterlot, but we've got leave now.”
As Twilight and the others get out of the throne room and make their way to their Pelicans, Discord and the Royal Guard are chasing off or fighting the Mad Stallions.
A drop pod falls from the sky and lands in the middle of a firefight and crushes a Mad Stallion. The pod’s door opens and buttered corn falls out followed by bullets. Both sides are quickly destroyed by a mystery soldier. The soldier turns out to be Crazy D and he says as he gets out of the pod, “Aww man, the corn didn’t pop…” He turns around and sees the dead bodies. “and killing my allies might be a problem. Wait a minute, who am I fighting for again? Oh well, getting my popcorn is more important right now. I wonder which one of these guys was using a flame thrower.”
Discord sees Crazy D and asks him, “Are you one of Unit 1’s friends?” Crazy D says, “I won’t tell anything until my corn’s popped.” Discord snaps his fingers and the corn pops into a pile of buttered popcorn. Crazy D says to Discord, “Ok, the answer to your question is that were frenemies; He’s my friend but I’m his personal enemy. Or were you asking if we’re allies, then the answer is yes.” Discord says, “You’re a little late to fight, the so-called threat is running after I turn some of them into animals and messed with some of their stuff. I’m glad most of them aren’t magic proof.” Crazy D says, “Aww, I wanted to hit horses with my fish… oh well, more time for popcorn.”
Crazy D jumps into the popcorn and starts eating it. Discord says, “I can’t wait to start working with you.”
Meanwhile, in another part of the Crystal Empire, a squad of Royal Guard spots a bunch of Mad Stallions running away from gunfire from an unknown owner. Within seconds, the mysterious owner turns out to be a woozy Unit 1 in a grey prisoner’s uniform. He sees the Royal guardsponies and says, “Private Unit 1 reporting for duty.” One of the guardsponies asks him, “Are you ok?” Unit 1 says, “I’m barely fighting off the drugs they used to knock me out.” Another guardspony says, “I’l take him to a Pelican.”
Some of the Guardsponies start celebrating as they see the Mad Stallions retreating into their Under Kickers and into the snowy border of the Crystal Empire. As soon as the Mad Stallions were out of sight, pilots quickly assumed it was safe to stay and some of the officers called the Lunar Eye to request a base in the Crystal Empire.
A few minutes later, every pony (including Crazy D, Unit 1 and Discord) regroup in the Crystal Plaza to recover from the attack. There is chatter amongst the Royal and Crystal guard about Unit 1 (some call him a hero during the battle of Canterlot, some question what happened in Ponyville, some believe that he’s a spy working the new threat, while others are unsure what to make of him).
Unit 1 is wearing special patches to decrease the time of the drugs’ effects and he is placed far away from most of the survivors for safety reasons. Fluttershy goes up to check on Unit 1 and finds him laying down in a Pelican with a blanket and pillow. She asks him, “Are you ok, what happened to you… well if you want to tell me?” Unit 1 says, “All you need to know is that I’m alright and I’m planning to go outside and get some fresh air before I call it a night.” He gets up and goes outside of the Pelican. Fluttershy asks him, “Can I come…?” Unit 1 interrupts her, “No, I want to be alone for a few minutes.” Fluttershy says, “Ok um… see you later, I guess.” Unit 1 walks a short distance away from the Pelican.
When Unit 1 is out of sight of everyone including any animal, he makes a secret call. Unit 1 says, “This is U1, I’m in their ranks, and they believe that they won, but no one is suspicious about the sudden retreat.” He giggles. “They think Discord scared off your troops with his magic, General.” General Line Breaker says, “Good, Let them celebrate U1 while you secretly sabotage them and remember, if you get caught; place yourself in their most populated area and take as many of them as you can with your ‘surprise’. Now get some rest soldier, you have a busy day tomorrow.” U1 says, “Yes sir.” He ends the call, quickly goes to his bed, closes the Pelican’s hull door and sets his timer for the destruction of the rebellious army.
Somewhere in the middle of the San Palomino Desert as the sun rises, an Under Kicker rises from the sand. Inside the Under Kicker, 2 Mad Stallions force an unconscious Unit 1 to swallow a strange looking pill down his throat. One of them says, “I hope that pill works.” The other one says, “If the pill doesn’t get it, the heat will.”
The first MS trooper says while opening the door, “Let’s get this out of here quickly, I think it waking up.” The 2 Mad Stallions throw Unit 1 out into the desert. A third one throws a canteen at him.
Unit 1 wakes up to see the Under Kicker escaping into the sand. Unit 1 quickly feels hotter than he should be. He quickly realizes he’s in heavy snow clothes and rips off most of the clothing. Unit 1 left himself with boots, a ripped up tank top, shorts, and a strip of the ripped up clothing being used as a bandanna.
Unit 1 puts out a special suitcase from his secret smuggler spot (Don’t ask). He opens it up, grabs an armor ability belt with Drop Shield and quickly puts it on. He also grabs a magnum, 2 spare clips, an aluminum knife, and binoculars with built in compass and puts them in the pockets and holders of the belt.
Unit 1 checks his canteen and notices that it is full of dust and has a hole in it. He says under his breath, “Those bastards.” He starts walking into the endless desert.
After a couple of miles, Unit 1 finds a small oasis; he checks if it is real with his hand. Unit 1 feels the wood on one of the trees. Unit 1 touches the water and feels the cool liquid. He quickly gets a taste of it and likes the water’s unbelievable taste. Unit 1 grabs a leaf of a tree and wraps it on his canteen to cover the extra hole.
Before Unit 1 starts filling up his canteen, he hears the roaring sounds of motorcycles getting closer with each second. He quickly gets some water into his canteen and hides in the sand.
3 Mad Stallions riding combat cycles (motorcycles with mounted guns) arrive to the oasis. They stop to get a break and refill their canteens and talk with each other. Unit 1 tries to listen in to their conversation but he can’t understand them; He thinks that the sand is messing with his hearing so he decides to strike.
Unit 1 grabs the closest MS rider and shoots the others with his magnum. He puts the Mad Stallion against a tree and points his magnum directly to his face. Unit 1 hits his head with his shoulder to get the sand out of his ear. He asks the rider, “Where is the closest base or town from here?” The rider was making horse sounds instead of using words. Unit 1 empties out his other ear and asks, “Sorry I didn’t hear you correctly, can you repeat that?” The Mad Stallion still made noises with his mouth instead words. Unit 1 thinks that the rider is messing with him. So he starts to ‘rough’ him up to get the answers that he wants.
After a few hits, Unit 1 starts to realize the Mad Stallion is talking but he couldn’t translate his language and without his translator, getting any form of information out of the Mad Stallion was pointless. He shoots the Mad Stallion behind the head.
Unit 1 starts going through the deceased riders’ stuff. He finds some clothes (parts of their uniforms) more suitable for the desert and swaps it with his shorts and tank top. He also finds a helmet that fits on his head after removing its mouth piece and puts it on. Unit 1 helped himself to some of their rations, grenades, and any other supplies that they had. He found machine pistols, rapid fire rifles and a strange looking shotgun with a big barrel and a unique clip with shells big enough to fit in a sniper rifle. Unit 1 was excited to have such a weapon but also curious of why a scout would have a weapon like this in the first place.
As Unit 1 goes through the supplies, strange clouds of red energy come out of the dead bodies and go into Unit 1. Unit 1 didn’t feel a thing or even notice it. The strange energy appears to do nothing (for now, anyways).
After a couple minutes, Unit 1 checks on the bodies before he lets the sand bury them and finds a map of the area. He notices hoof drawn details on the printed map; some of them show shortcuts to camps, ambush positions, and two towns (Appleloosa and Dodge Junction). Unit 1 stores the map in his ‘new’ armor. He puts the armor ability belt over his armor and puts a rapid fire rifle and the powerful shotgun on his back. Unit 1 checks his rations of apples, raisins and canteens of water and ammo.
Unit 1 gets the combat cycle with the most gas and puts the clips from the other cycles’ guns in its supply pack. Unit 1 gets on the combat cycle, turns to the dead bodies and says, “See you in Hell.” He drives into the desert to find a town or a radar station to call a ride out of the desert or at least back into the fight.
As Unit 1 travels through the desert, he travels to a high point on a rock hill to get his bearings. As Unit 1 is looking over his map, he hears a burst of gunfire in the distance. Unit 1 looks off in the distance and sees something. He pulls out his binoculars and sees some Mad Stallions loading pony and buffalo prisoners into an armored van. As Unit 1 looks at the buffalos, he says to himself, “That explains the shotgun.”
After the Mad Stallions packed up their prisoners, they get in their vehicles and drive off. Unit 1 quickly puts away his binoculars, gets on his combat cycle and follows them. He made sure that he kept a distance to prevent him from being spotted by the Mad Stallions. As they were going faster, Unit 1 had to hide in the dust cloud that the Mad Stallions made to keep up with them.
Unit 1 waits for his time to split from the group. It felt like a few hours to him. The Mad Stallions being to slow down and Unit 1 took it as his queue to find a new hiding place. He quickly finds a big rock and takes cover behind it.
The Mad Stallions stops on top of a slope of sand leading to a gate to an entrance of a canyon. One of the Mad Stallions gets on theradio and says, “This is Stray Hunter Platoon ‘Sand Storm’, open the gate, we got more workers to get our apples.” The gate opens and the Sand Storm platoon goes into the gate.
Unit 1 gets out of cover and investigates the gate with his binoculars. He notices that the gate is made of vehicle armor and wood and it looks it was built too quickly. The gate doesn’t look like it would take much abuse from explosives or at least the strength of a charging tank. There are a handful of guards guarding the gate.
Unit 1 sneaks to the nearby plateau to see what he’s up against behind the gate.
When he gets to the edge of the plateau, Unit 1 sees an orchard with watchtowers and a few other structures. He uses his binoculars to get a closer look. He sees that the Mad Stallions are using ponies and buffalos to gather apples and to move supplies around the camp. Unit 1 also spots a yardfull of Under Kickers, a radio station, a few helipads, and a couple of small generators scattered around the camp. Unit 1looks at a watchtower and notices that it has a machine gun and its pointed at a gate. It also has a sniper team and a pile of missiles and missile launchers.
Unit 1’s spine starts to shake; he suddenly pulls out his magnum and shoots at a Mad Stallion trying to sneak up on him. Unit 1 quickly finds himself surrounded by a group of MS guards. Unit 1 shoots the guards with no trouble.
Unfortunately, the gunfire got the attention of some of the nearby guards. One of them turns on the alarm while another one contacts patrols to keep an eye for any other movement.
As Unit 1 goes to his combat cycle, bullets come out of the air and destroy the cycle. Unit 1 switches his magnum with his shotgun and jumps into the sand. He waits for the aircraft that assaulted him to leave.
Meanwhile in the aircraft, the pilot says to his gunners, “All right colts, we’re going…” A red light starts flashing and one of his gunners says, “The Hover Hoof is on E isn’t it.” The pilot says as he lands the Hover Hoof, “Well that’s the price of ‘testing it out’ in the Macintosh Hills.” The ship lands nearby Unit 1 and the pilot grabs a gas canister. “I’ll be right back, I going to put in enough gas to get this thing to a landing pad.” The other gunner asks, “Why can’t we fly there now?” The pilot answers as he walks to the back of the ship, “Do you want to risk crashing to the ground?” There is a moment of silence as the pilot opens. “That’s what I thought besides this will only take a couple of seconds and then we will be back in camp; eating freshly picked apples.”
As the pilot goes to refuel the Hover Hoof, one of the gunners asks the other, “Do you want to help the gate guards look for the body?” He answers, “Nah, you go ahead. I’m going to carve names on my bullets.” The first gunner says awkwardly, “O.K.” He grabs his weapons, goes out of the ship, and looks for Unit 1.
A bunch of MS troops investigate the wreckage for Unit 1’s body. Unit 1 tries to wait for them to leave but one of them steps on him. He reacts by shooting the Mad Stallions within his sight. Most of the bullets bounce off their armor except for one that got one on his throat. The Mad Stallions get out their shotguns or activate the blades in their gloves or gauntlets.
Unit 1 throws his rifle behind him and it hits the MS trooper that was stepping on him. The rifle’s impact forces the Mad Stallion to get off of Unit 1 and the impact was so strong that the rifle got stuck into his shoulder. Unit 1 gets up, charges at a Mad Stallion and kills him. One of the Mad Stallions shoot Unit 1’s back with a shotgun. Unit 1 quickly cuts his snout and knocks the trooper to the ground. Before the Mad Stallions could fight back, Unit 1 ends the trooper’s life by stomping on his head.
2 of the Mad Stallions see red mist go into Unit 1 and then he stares at them with evil look on his face and glowing red eyes. The Mad Stallions were scared and started to question if they were going to make it.
The gunner from the ship shoots at Unit 1 with a LMG (Light Machine Gun) and says to his fellow troopers, “Get into the hovercraft, if you want to live!” The two Mad Stallions quickly make their way into the Hover Hoof. Unit 1 drops to the sand and grabs his shotgun. Unit 1 fires his shotgun at the gunner but he quickly learns that his gun is wrecked. He moves to some nearby cover and throws it at the gunner. It misses the gunner and he laughs at Unit 1 as he fires waves of bullets at him.
The gunner stops firing and waits for Unit 1 to get out cover. Unit 1 throws a grenade over his cover and it lands nearby the gunner. The gunner tries to get away from the grenade. The grenade only damages the gunner’s rear leg and makes a cloud of dust. Unit 1 grabs his knife, jumps out of cover, and runs into the cloud of dust. The gunner hears footsteps and fires his gun at the cloud. One of the troopers runs to the gunner and starts dragging him to the Hover Hoof. Unit 1 pulls out his magnum and shoots at both of them.
When Unit 1 gets out of the cloud, he sees that the gunner is dead, the trooper is gravely wounded, and the pilot rushing into his Hover Hoof. Unit 1 charges at the aircraft as fast as he can; completely ignoring the wounded soldier. The wounded soldier grabs the LMG and fires a couple bullets at Unit 1. He says on the radio before bleeding out, “It’s coming.”
The pilot gets into the Hover Hoof and starts taking off. Unit 1 grabs onto the side of the Hover Hoof. The Mad Stallions hear a loud thud and the 2nd gunner turns his gun around, spots Unit 1 and fires his big gun at him. Unit 1 quickly climbs to the top of the fighter.
He sees a hatch and starts crawling to it. The pilot hears something moving on the roof and gets ready to do some “fancy flying”. When Unit 1 barely gets to the hatch, his body is getting tossed around in the air and he is quickly losing his grip. Unit 1 punches through the ship’s armor and holds on to it for dear life. After a few minutes, Unit 1 gets the hatch open. He tries to grab his magnum, but with the constant shaking, he accidently throws a grenade into the Hover Hoof.
After the grenade explodes, the Hover Hoof stop in mid air and Unit 1 goes in the hatch. The ship received minor damage while the crew took some serious damage including 2 died. The wounded pilot gets on the radio and says, “Shoot us down…” Unit 1 puts his hand over the pilot’s mouth and cracks his neck.
Unit 1 removes the pilot from his seat and takes controls of the Hover Hoof. It took him a while to figure out the controls. Before he could start doing some damage on the base, the Hover Hoof’s targeting screen starts flashing, “OUT OF FUEL, BRACE FOR IMPACT.” Unit 1 says, “AWW, COME…” The Hover Hoof crashes in middle of one the base roads. “on.”
Unit 1 gets up with a few seconds of dizziness and walks half through the ship. He trips over a LMG and slams to the ground. Unit 1 hears someone coming in from the top. He quickly picks himself and the LMG and finds cover.
The hatch opens and a Mad Stallion says, “Anyone alive?” The Mad Stallion pokes his head in. Before the Mad Stallion could react, Unit 1 shoots a few bullets in his skull.
One of the Mad Stallion Officers says in the radio, “Hold your fire, soldiers. I want to keep our engineers alive. If you shoot anymore of them, I will make sure you’ll be harvest apples for 3 days straight.” Unit 1 confuses what the officer says with an attack order and he prepares to counterattack. He quickly looks for ammo and usable weapons. Unit 1 reloads his LMG as he goes up the wind shield. He breaks the glass and fires his gun at Mad Stallions. He shouts out, “Come at me bro!”
Nearby Mad Stallions either escorted ponies and buffalo out of the way or join the fight to stop the ‘rouge’ trooper.
Mad Stallions shoot at the Hover Hoof to kill the crazed trooper. An officer says on the radio, “Be careful, that is our only Hover Hoof.” A soldier behind an apple cart says, “How do you expect us to kill him without damaging the ship.” A smooth voice says, “I’ll get him.”
A sniper in an apple tree lines up his shot to the target and quickly notices certain details on the target. The sniper says on the radio, “Sir, I don’t think…” The officer says, “Don’t think… fire!” The sniper says, “Ok, discovery in death.” He takes the shot. The bullet breaks Unit 1’s helmet.
Unit 1 gets back into cover and removes his face plate. Unit 1 says as he removes his mask, “So much for keeping bullets off my face.” He throws a grenade and it explodes and makes a dust cloud. Unit 1 moves out of the Hover Hoof and finds new cover. Red energy comes out of nearby dead bodies and goes into Unit 1 and his eyes start glowing red. Unit 1 thinks the red glow is a flare thrown into the cloud to make him an easier target and quickly gets behind a cart. The Mad Stallions quickly realize that the one they are shooting at isn’t one of their guys. Some Mad Stallions were stunned by fear, while others fired blindly at Unit 1 with the fear of not knowing of what it is and if their weapons were working on the creature.
As Unit 1 fires his LMG at the Mad Stallions, he notices that they are afraid of him and starts to scream like a madman, “All of you will die today!” A few of the Mad Stallions retreat at the sound of his foreign, yet threading voice. Unit 1 spots the radio station and starts cover jumping to it.
One of the Mad Stallions says on the radio, “The demon is heading towards the radio station.” A tough voice says, “We’ll get him and smash him.” A couple of big Mad Stallions with two handed…I mean hoofed blades and hammers start charging at Unit 1. Unit 1 kills one of them but gets hit by another one.
Unit 1 makes a run for the radio station and hip fires his gun at the Mad Stallions. He wastes the last of his LMG’s ammo killing a few of the massive muscled troops. Unit 1 makes it into the radio station, but before he could call for backup (or at least a care package full of weapons and ammo), he hears thunder and lighting and suddenly the radio dies. Unit 1 says, “Oh come on.”
MS troops (including the big ones) charge at Unit 1 and he reacts by pulling out his knife and counter-attacking the horses. The fight lasted for almost for 15 minutes, with waves of Mad Stallions coming at the Spartan. He beat off the attackers with his superior skills in combat, superhuman strength and toughness, but his knife gets broken in the process. Remaining Mad Stallions flee into the apple field. More of the mysterious red energy goes into Unit 1 during the fight. Unit 1 is left with his magnum and grenades. He face palms himself for not using them a few minutes ago.
As Unit 1 runs out of the radio station to pursue the fleeing soldiers, a lightning bolt almost hits him. He jumps to a nearby tree and looks up. The sky is full of dark clouds with lights only from lighting forming in the sky. As lighting tries to strike him, Unit 1 notices shadows within the glow… most of them have wings and the one without wings looks like he or she is whipping them. Unit 1 rushes to a hill to get a shot at the slave master.
When Unit 1 gets on top of the hill to make the shot, the clouds gather up above the hill and they start hailing alongside rapid fire lighting. He fires a blind shot and some of the pegasi scatter within the collections of cloud. The slave master tries to get back in control of the pegasi. Unit 1 aims his magnum at the slave master and fires two shots; the first shot barely misses and the second shot goes through the helmet and slave master’s hover pack flies uncontrollably to the ground. The pegasi flee in random directions to find safety from the battle.
Unit 1 looks around to find himself surrounded by the Mad Stallions; most of them are scarier looking than the normal ones and are carrying some form of electric whip.
The noise of roaring engines fills the air; the Mad Stallions are surprised on how fast they got here. Unit 1 knows the real owner of the roar and waits to see what happens.
Unit 1 goes to prone and some of the Mad Stallions laugh at him. As they go up to get the Spartan, a few squadrons of Pelicans fly over the orchard and start attacking the camp. Remaining Mad Stallions try to fight but they can only do so much with their current numbers. Unit 1 uses the attack as an opportunity to escape the ambush and to find a weapon. He dodges bullet and missile fire to find a place to plan or to find a weapon.
Suddenly, something taps Unit 1 on his face and then it lands in his hand. It was an apple. Unit 1 looks up and sees some of ‘the harvesters’ fighting the Mad Stallions. As Unit 1 is about to join into the fight, a buffalo tackles him. Unit 1 slides in the dirt as he holds on to the buffalo then, he quickly pushes the buffalo off. Unit 1 tries to fight a Mad Stallion but he gets intercepted by a pony worker’s kick. Unit 1 realizes that the workers think he’s one of the Mad Stallions and without his earpiece to talk with them; he is forced to defend himself by blocking the workers’ attacks and pushing them out of his way.
After a couple of minutes of combat, Unit 1 tries to land a punch on a Mad Stallion (or at least get away from the rioting workers) and he soon finds himself in the middle of a big group of angry workers. Unit 1 takes a deep breath as he prepares himself to willingly hurt the workers.
Suddenly, one of the Pelicans lands near by the mob and a bunch of UNSC ponies come out of it, including Applejack. The pony workers flock to Applejack and cheer with joy. The pony workers turn out to be the members of Apple family and Applejack is overjoyed to see them. They get into a big group hug.
Unit 1 looks over at the UNSC ponies and yells out, “A little help!” Applejack sees Unit 1 and says, “Unit 1, how did ya get here?” Unit 1 says, “Can you call off the battering rams, first?” Applejack says to Unit 1, “Ok…” she says to the buffalo, “Can you let him go, he’s with me.” The workers look at Applejack confused. The buffalos surrounding Unit 1 back up a few steps and Unit 1 walks to Applejack. Unit 1 picks up weapons as he walks to Applejack which makes the workers more nervous about trusting him.
When Unit 1 gets to Applejack, he asks her, “What was your question AJ…it is AJ right?” Applejack says, “That’s my nickname… I asked ya how ya got here from the Crystal Empire.” Unit 1 says, “I thought I was in Canterlot the last time I saw you… I don’t know what words I can use to apologize for losing Canterlot.” Applejack says, “Losin’ Canterlot? Those Mad Stallions were gone before we got out of the tunnels. You must have really kicked their flanks.” The crowd was surprised with what Applejack had to say and look at Unit 1 with amazement. Unit 1 says, “I must have done more damage to them then I thought. Let’s catch up later, we must go back to Canterlot base to get these civilians safe and plan out our next move. Canterlot has a base, right? ” Applejack says, “Yes but Crazy D…”
The heavy armored Mad Stallion gets on top of a hill. He whistles at the group of workers to let them know he has Apple Bloom hostage with a pistol pointed at her head. He demands the workers to surrender or he will shoot Apple Bloom. The crowd does nothing because they don’t want to risk the young filly’s life.
As the Mad Stallion was talking, Unit 1 falls to his knees and equips his ‘new’ sniper rifle. Applejack asks, “What are doing?” Unit 1 whispers, “I’m saving the hostage.” Unit 1 lines up his shot to the Mad Stallion and asks, “Did he say his rank.” Applejack asks, “Why do you…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Just answer the question.” Applejack says, “Does Warden count?”
Unit 1 is about to take the shot but something dark tan blocks the scope’s sight. He lowers his rifle to see what’s blocking the shot. Unit 1 sees a little angry dark tan pony. Unit 1 softly says as he moves the pony, “Get out of way, kid.” Unit 1 looks through his scope and sees the pony blocking it again. The pony says, “I wouldn’t let you hurt Apple Bloom.” Applejack asks with concern to the pony, “Can you repeat, Babs?” Babs says, “That colt got Apple Bloom.” Unit 1 struggles to move Babs out of the way.
Applejack looks at the Mad Stallion with her new binoculars and sees him holding Apple Bloom and worries about her little sister. Applejack gets an uneasy idea and pulls out her Mangum. Unit 1 sees Applejack pulling out the Magnum and uses one of his hands to push down her weapon. He whispers to Applejack, “This scenario requires a sniper not a rookie.” Applejack says, “I got to save my sister.” Babs asks Applejack, “Well, what’s stopping you.” She notices that Unit 1’s hand on Applejack’s weapon and tries getting his hand off of her weapon but Unit 1 holds Babs back with his sniper rifle.
Applejack frees her pistol free from Unit 1’s grip and aims it at Mad Stallion. Unit 1 says, “Don’t do it, you’ll get your sister killed by your or his bullet.” Babs says, “What are you waiting for? Save Apple Bloom.”
Nearby family members try to inspire Applejack to take the shot. Unit 1 sees that the Mad Stallion is turning his head towards Applejack so he slaps her Magnum out of her hoof and quickly fakes being wounded. Some of the Apples and the buffalos look at him with confusion. The Mad Stallion slimes with convince and continues his threats and demands
Applejack asks in angry, “What did ya do that for?” Unit 1 says through his teeth, “I bought your sister more time to be rescued unless you wanted her to die by a reaction shot. So do want to take the shot and risk killing you sister again?” Applejack looks at Apple Bloom, takes a deep breath, and says, “Alrightly, go ahead and save Apple Bloom…” She continues intensely. “Don’t miss.”
As Unit 1 gets ready to make the shot, the Apples try to stop him but Applejack puts her hooves in front of them and says, “Let him do it.” Babs says, “What got…”
Unit 1 shoots one of the Warden’s front legs off and the pistol flew in the air and shoots Apple Bloom’s bow in half. She screams at the top of lungs. The Warden lets go of Apple Bloom to cover his wound. 3 UNSC ponies come up behind and arrest the Warden. They escort the Warden and Apple Bloom back to Pelicans.
Meanwhile back with Unit 1, the Apples are mad and surround him because they think he killed Apple Bloom and the buffalos wait around to see what’s going to happen. Applejack says with angry to Unit 1, “Ya killed Apple bloom!” As Unit 1 gets ready to defend himself, he sees a group walking down the hill. He says to Applejack, “If I killed you sister, then who’s that?” He points the group. Applejack turns her head to see Apple Bloom and says in surprise, “Apple Bloom?” Apple Bloom says, “Applejack?” Applejack runs up to Apple Bloom and hugs her. Soon the whole family joins in. Unit 1 says under his breath, “You’re welcome.”
As Unit 1 walks to the Pelicans, the buffalo give him looks of respect and say some things that he couldn’t understand. Babs Seed goes up to Unit 1 and taps him on the leg. Unit 1 looks down and asks her, “What do want?” Babs pulls out an apple and says, “I just wanted to give you this for doubting you, Mr.” Unit 1 takes the apple rips in half and inspects it. After seeing it is a good apple, Unit 1 takes a bite out of one of the halves and says to Babs, “It’s a start, kid.”
As Unit 1 gets in a Pelican, Applejack shows Apple Bloom her savior. Applejack says, “That’s him, Apple Bloom.” Apple Bloom goes up to Unit 1, hugs him, and says, Thank you for savin’ me.” Unit 1 wanted hug back but held back which results in him patting her on the head. He says to Applejack, “Can you get me an earpiece? I need to talk Crazy D. Oh… and get the prisoners in the Pelican so we can get out here.” Applejack says, “Don’t worry; Crazy D will be here with a new base.” Unit 1 says, “Tell him to turn around and the others to hurry up.” Applejack says, “Why do we…” The roar of violent gunfire suddenly fills the air. Unit 1 says, “That’s why. Get everyone you can to Pelicans, now.”
Applejack puts her hoof to her ear; she updates Crazy D and Tia Light and then she gets a worried look on her face. Applejack says, “We don’t have enough Pelicans to hold everypony.” Unit 1 says, “Do you know anything about these buffalo? I know that your family are farmers and farmers can only go so far in this scenario.” Applejack says, “I know the buffalos are a local tribe who once tried to stop the Appleloosans from building this orchard.” Unit 1 says, “Good enough… I’ll need your earpiece.” Applejack gives Unit 1 her earpiece and he says, “Thank you.” Applejack hears a strange language of different accents.
Unit 1 puts on the earpiece and says on the radio, “This is Unit 1 of Spartan Company ‘Devil Dogs’ calling command, I’m requesting to become Battle Commander of mission.” Tia Light says, “This is Tia Light, I approve of your Request … wait a minute, how are you at the Crystal Empire and…” Unit 1 says, “Let’s worry about that when we get out of here.” Tia Light says, “Plan approved, I’ll get the forces in the Crystal Empire to keep the other you until you go there so we can tell the real you from the fake you.” Unit 1 says, “Roger… I guess.”
Unit 1 says on the radio, “This is Battle Commander Unit 1, someone give the current status of this battle.” A UNSC pony says with overconfidence, “More Mad Horse troops but they’re not putting up much of a fight.” Another UNSC pony says, “You’re having it easy because all of them are over here kicking our flanks. They cut us and some prisoners from the Pelicans.” Unit 1 says, “Where are you?” The 2nd UNSC pony says, “We are in a warehouse full of weapons but, they’re still kicking our flanks.” Unit 1 says, “Hold your position reinforcements are coming.” All available troops round up any civilians and meet at the Pelican as soon as possible.” A bunch of UNSC ponies say, “Yes, sir.”
Unit 1 gets off the radio and says to Applejack, “You know how to use your Visor map, right?” She says, “I didn’t get those funny glasses and I wanted to keep my hat but…” Applejack pulls out out an odd looking holo-pad. “But Brick gave me this thing.” Unit 1 looks at the holo-pad with excitement and says, “Could it be?” He takes it from Applejack and says, “Hey.” Apple Bloom asks, “Why did ya do that?” Unit 1 ignores Apple Bloom as he actives the holo-pad. After the holo-pad turns on, he pulls out the sides for it to reveal a hologram of the entire orchard and the base. Unit 1 gives the holo-pad back Applejack and says to her, “You’re lucky; you got yourself a XZ MR.2” Applejack asks Unit 1 as he goes in the Pelican, “What…?” Unit 1 says as he gets some UNSC equipment, “It’s a Xtra Zight Mr.2; it’s an old, big, and reliable companion. If you want know more about him, I believe he can answers those questions, himself.” The three Apples ask, “Him?” Unit 1 says as he tries out a helmet, “Him or it whatever you prefer.”
A small but strange device comes out of the XZ MR.2 and looks at Applejack. Unit 1 says as he is comparing weapons, “Oh I almost forgot his scanning flash…” The device flashes and it stings Applejack’s eyes. She screams in pain. Unit 1 continues, “Never mind.” The device goes back into the XZ MR.2 and then, a circle appears with an outline of a cowboy hat on it; 2 white dots appear as it’s eyes. The circle shows a surprised look on its face, the XZ MR.2 makes an alerting beep and types out, “We are under attack.” Applejack says, “Ya a little late with that news.” The circle face changes expression to confident look and the XZ MR.2 types out, “Do you know the easier sides to beat, ma’am?” It shows the warehouse with the positions of Mad Stallion attackers and the Equestrian Defenders in high detail. Apple Bloom and Babs say in amazement, “Whoa.”
Unit 1 comes out of the pelican with a UNSC helmet and weapon and says, “Where should I hit them?” Applejack reads the XZ MR.2 and then says, “Mr.2 says ya should get ’em at the South. There are fewer soldiers to fight.”
A group of 4 UNSC ponies come up to Unit 1 and one of them says to Unit 1, “We are ready to go, Commander… um sorry Battle Commander.” Unit 1 says, “I also accept Sir. I will give you 4 a brief break to reload and take a few deep breaths and maybe enough time to pray.” He turns to Applejack, “I need you to do 2 things for me: Number 1: Keep sending us as much back as you can but leave enough to keep family and the others safe and Number 2: Make sure no one kills the Warden, he’s alive for a reason.” Applejack says, “Are you…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Just keep an eye on him. You might get the answer to your question.” Unit 1 turns his head and reveals his UNSC bar code on his neck to the XZ MR.2” The holo-pad starts scaning the code.
As the XZ MR.2 uploads Unit 1’s code, Babs Seed and Apple Bloom see something through one of the holes on Unit 1’s back armor and get excited about it. The XZ MR.2 types out” Scan Complete. I can send Unit 1 direct message anytime he is wearing a visor.” Unit 1 pulls out Applejack’s ear piece and says to Applejack, “You’ll need this back. Besides I found one more of my size in…” Apple Bloom interrupts, “You have a Cutie Mark?!” Unit 1 asks Apple Bloom, “A what….?” Babs Seed says, “You know… the picture of a… a….” Unit 1 says, “Gear. That is my brand mark. We’ll talk about it later.” Applejack gets her ear piece back, puts it on and says, “Thank ya Unit 1. Don’t ya have to…?” Unit 1 says, “I’m going.”
Unit 1 turns to his squad which grew by 3 soldiers and he says to them, “Ready or not, we’re ready to move out.” The soldiers say, “Yes, Battle Commander.” XZ MR.2 gives Unit 1 cornets and the safest yet quickest path to it. Unit 1 leads his squad on path to battle.
Meanwhile back in the Crystal Empire, U1 is on his way to a Pelican and says softly in his ear piece, “I’ll be on my way to Canterlot, soon… with the bomb.” A voice says, “I’ll tell the general to get the troops ready to get back…” U1 see a few soldiers coming and says to the radio, “I’ll check in with you, later.”
The Crystal pony soldier asks U1, “Who were you talking to?” U1 says, “A fellow soldier… why?” The soldier says, “Just wondering… because we were told you might be a spy. There is somepony calling himself, Unit 1. Maybe that pony or whatever will get himself killed, we can go back to the Tower instead of you.” An Earth pony soldier says, “Isn’t that a little harsh, dude.” The crystal soldier says, “You didn’t go from an easy guarding job to be conscripted in a war.” The earth guard says, “Yes I have, so shut up and let’s get this job over with.”
U1 asks the guards, “Can I finish my conversion with my friend?” The Crystal pony soldier says, “Make it quick.” U1 turns around and says on the radio, “My trip is delayed but get ready for the surprise.” A voice says, “o.k.” U1 turns around says to the guards, “Now I’m ready.”
Back in the Apple flied base, the warehouse is being attacked on 3 fronts by overwhelming bullet fire and a horde of Mad Stallion troopers with reinforcements racing to their positions. The position turns out to be a rocky area which made great cover but it also made it hard for their reinforcements to come with paths too small for vehicles to fit through. Unit 1 and his squad sneak behind the weaker position and unloading bullets to the enemies’ backs. The Mad Stallions got slaughtered with the lack of cover which quickly results in a few of them (the surviving ones) to retreat to westeren front.
As Unit 1 and his squad go to the warehouse, An UNSC pony says, “I’m wounded.” Unit 1 turns his head and says to him, “Suck it up, it’s only a little cut.” The soldier says, “But its above my eye.” Unit 1 ignores the trooper and says on the radio, “This is the Battle Commander…” Some of the defenders start shooting at them and the squad quickly goes to cover. “We have secured the southern rocky front. Hold your fire. I repeat, we are at the rocks and stop shooting at us!”
The bullets stop and a door opens. A UNSC pony says on the radio, “Sorry Battle Commander, you can’t be too careful. Come in quickly before they come back.” Unit 1 says, “Understood we are coming in.” Unit 1 orders his troops into the warehouse and they quickly rush in.
When Unit 1 looks around to see the warehouse is full of ammo and has a corner of medical supplies. UNSC ponies and most of the older prisoners (teenagers and adults) fighting off the Mad Stallions while the younger prisoners (kids and preteens) were hiding or helping the wounded.
Unit 1 turns to his squad and says to them, “If you need some ammo, a new weapon or a band ad, you can do that now. If you don’t need to or when you’re ready help these guys in the fight off the Mad Stallions.” The squad splits up. Unit 1 says on the radio, “This is the Battle Commander; I want the commanding officer of the warehouse to meet me downstairs, now.”
A black unicorn quickly gallops downstairs and rushes to Unit 1. The unicorn says to him, “Sergeant Black Strike, reporting in, Sir.” Unit 1 says, “I have an idea to get us out of here but it will cost a few casualties.” Sgt. Black Strike says, “I have a better idea, I need you to take control of the troops while I gather the other unicorns and try teleporting us out of here.” Unit 1 says, “Are you guys going to build a teleporter or you messing with me.” Sgt. Black Strike says, “Just trust me like you want us to trust you.” Unit 1 says, “Fine but I want to get us out of here as soon as possible.” The sergeant says, “Yes sir.”
Black Strike gathers up all the unicorns and they form a circle. Unit 1 goes up to the 2nd floor and takes cover behind a strip of wall. Unit 1 pulls out a Magnum and starts shooting at Mad Stallions; he tries to aim for ones out in the open or making a break to the doors. Unit 1 uses his free hand you get on the radio with Applejack, “Applejack, I need to talk with you.” Applejack says, “What’s on ya mind?” Unit 1 says, “I think one of your spiked head buddies might have lost his mind. He trying to teleport us out of here and I don’t know if it will work.”
Applejack was about to tell Unit 1 about the magical powers that unicorns have but a text appears on Unit 1’s visor alerting him about a Mobile Artillery Cannon. Unit 1 turns around and screams to his allies, “Incoming!” He sees a colorful dome of energy consuming the unicorns and it quickly gets bigger. The artillery shell blasts the roof, but it doesn’t stop the forces in the warehouse from getting away. When the Mad Stallions stormed, they notice some of the crates and every single body (including the dead ones) vanished without a trace.
Meanwhile back at the Pelicans, The XZ MR.2 looks confused and says, “The forces in the warehouse are gone and I don’t have any idea what happened.” Applejack says, “Magic saved them.” Applejack yells out, “Alright everpony in, were leaven’.” As All the UNSC ponies and prisoners, XZ MR.2 asks, “How does a side show act help people/ponies disappear from my radar?” Applejack says, “Ya got a lot to learn about magic and I know the pony that can help ya.”
When everyone got in the Pelicans, they started lift off in the sky and flying away. A group of Mad Stallion Personal Transporters try to stop them, but the Pelicans got away before they could do any serious damage. The Mad Stallions either shake their hooves at the Pelicans or try to shoot them down even though the Pelicans are out of range of their weapons.
At Appleloosan Train Station, the Mad Stallions were about to unload supplies and exchange prisoners. Suddenly, the forces from the warehouse appear scattered all over the station. Both sides were surprised and it quickly becomes a contest of who can react faster.
Unit 1 teleports nearby a group of Mad Stallions inside one of the buildings and he reacts by shooting them with his magnum. He quickly runs out of ammo and one of the 2 remaining MS’s shoots his head with an anti-buffalo shotgun. The shotgun shell breaks the helmet and it flies off in different directions. Unit 1 pistol whips the Mad Stallion and knocks out a tooth. The Mad Stallions were shocked at the sight. The 2nd Mad Stallion fires his rifle at Unit 1. Unit 1 grabs the 1st Mad Stallion and uses him as a shield. Unit 1 quickly swaps his pistol for an SMG (Sub Machine Gun) and fills the 2nd Mad Stallion with holes.
Unit 1 drops the dead body. He says as he reloads his weapons, “Great… we got deeper into enemy territory. What…” Suddenly, half of the room blows up and Unit 1 falls through the floor. A soldier sees Unit 1 and says as he helps him up, “Sir, we’re winning, we can take back Appleloosa by ourselves.” Unit 1 sees the reinforcements and asks the soldier, “Do we have anything against armor?” The solider looks confused and looks at the enemy reinforcements.
Before they could react, the Mad Stallions fire their weapons (tank cannons and bullet fire) at the Equestrian forces. Unit 1 and the solider get hit by a tank shell. Unit 1 gets some of the shrapnel all over his body while the solider he was with, looses a leg. Unit 1 says on the radio, “This is the Battle Commander; I am ordering all troops to capture the train and to secure the train engineers so we can get out. Drag the wounded and leave the dead.”
Unit 1 drags the wounded soldier to the train. As they go to the train, Mad Stallions attack them. Unit 1 uses his Magnum and the soldier uses his Battle Rifle to fight them off. Unit 1 sees as he is fighting, the Equestrian forces around them are fighting hard except for the unicorns who look like they are tired. Unit 1 sees Sergeant Black Strike; he puts away his Magnum and starts dragging the Sergeant. Unit 1 asks Black Strike, “What’s wrong with your troops?” Black Strike says, “When a unicorn uses a teleporting spell, it takes away a lot of his or her energy, especially that group spell we did to get us out of there.”
The Equestrian forces secure some of the cars. A buffalo says from an open door of a box car, “Bring them in here.” Unit 1 puts the solider and the Sergeant in the box car. Unit 1 says to them, “You, boys fought hard but we’re not done yet.” Unit 1 turns around and screams, “All aboard or be left for dead!” The Equestrian forces try their best to quickly get in the train. Unit 1 pulls out his DMR and covers the troops.
As Unit 1 shoots at the Mad Stallions, he notices that a handful of prisoners are being dragged and pushed in an APC but the prisoners aren’t being used as a meat shield. Unit 1 says, “All right troops hold the line for a few more minutes. Don’t leave until I order it.” A lot of ‘Yes Sir’s’ are heard on the radio. Unit 1 switches his DMR for his Magnum and SMG and charges into the MS line.
Unit 1 makes a strip of dead bodies on the way to the APC. Some of the Mad Stallions quickly get into the APC. As the APC’s engines roar, the doors close. Unit 1 puts away his weapons and jumps on the APC. He holds on to the APC’s armor as it drives off.
Unit 1 says on the radio, “Get the train moving… I’ll catch up.” One of the soldiers says, “But what about you?” Unit 1 says, “Go now, that’s an order.” The soldier says, “Yes, sir.” The train starts leaving the station.
Unit 1 makes his way to the APC’s side door. The Mad Stallions hear him and prepare for the hitchhiker’s breach. When Unit 1 gets nearby the door, he punches the glass and it makes a hole big enough to fire his gun through. As Unit 1 grabs his Magnum, one of the Mad Stallions opens a window latch and tells the driver about the hitchhiker. Unit 1 gets a shot at that trooper before the driver starts to try to shake him off. Unit 1 holds on as the APC moves randomly and harshly to get him off.
One of the Mad Stallions gets impatient, pulls out an SMG, and tries to finish Unit 1. He opens the door and Unit 1 swings in and kicks the Mad Stallion. Unit 1 quickly shoots most of the Mad Stallions before they could react. The prisoners were shaking in their cuffs (Most of them were wearing a metal device on their horns and one of them was wearing a metal brace on her torso). Unit 1 points his magnum at the window hole and then the sounds of 2 things hitting the floor are heard.
Unit 1 goes up to one of the prisoners and shoots off her cuffs. He says to her, “This is a jail break, get the others free and wait for my instructions if you want to live to see tomorrow.”
As Unit 1 gets the other side door open, one of the prisoners asks, “What are you doing?” Unit 1 says, “Hijacking.” He goes outside and grabs on to the side armor and makes his way to the driver’s door. The driver tries to shake him off again. Unit 1 gets to the door and opens it. The driver tries to fight back but Unit 1 quickly removes him from his seat. Unit 1 jumps into the driver’s seat and takes control of the APC.
Unit 1 moves a dead body and says to the prisoners, “Hello, I’m Unit 1 and I’ll be your driver for today.” One of the prisoners asks, “Where you are taking us?” Unit 1 answers, “Anywhere but here.” Unit 1 drives to a nearby cliff to get his bearings.
Unit 1 grabs a sniper rifle from his dead passenger and looks off to the distance. He sees tanks making a road block while APC and fast attack vehicles pursue the train. One of the prisoners asks him, “Why did we stop?” Unit 1 says, “To plan our next move.”
Unit 1 spots the train and starts the APC and starts driving towards it. He gets on the radio and says, “Train troopers, this is the Battle… you should know the sound of my voice by now. I secured the prisoners and we are heading towards the train. Wait for further instructions but keep that train moving for obvious reasons.”
As Unit 1 is driving the APC,, he says to the prisoners, “I hope you guys freed yourself, because you’re going to have to jump onto the train.” One of the prisoners asks, “Why can’t we stop?” Unit 1’s APC rushes by a few tanks and the drivers try to contact the Armored Prisoner Carrier that passed by them.
A voice comes from the APC’s CB (Tucker) radio saying, “APC N8, what are you doing?” Unit 1 closes the latch door, steps on the gas and answers it in a different voice, “This is…” He quickly looks at the nearby dead soldier’s dog tag and says, “Sergeant Chili and we got orders to assist the attack force.” The voice says, “Weren’t you…” The CB radio randomly turns off and Unit 1 sighs with relief. Unit 1 says under his breath, “Thank you, crappy battery powered radios.”
As the APC gets closer the train, Unit 1 and the prisoners quickly get in the middle of fight. Unit 1 sees a box car ahead of them and gets a risky idea. Unit 1 opens up the latch door and says to the prisoners, “Get ready to jump out of the east… I mean right door.” One of the prisoners asks, “What we are jumping on to?” Unit 1 says, “Let me double check that.”
Unit 1 gets on the radio, “Troops I am in an armored vehicle approaching the box car near the caboose. I need you guys to open the left door of the box var.” Unit 1 gets to the side of the box car. One of the troops says, “We hear you and we’re opening the door.” Unit 1 says to the prisoners, “Alright open the door and jump onto the train.” One of the prisoners says to Unit 1, “Are you crazy?” Unit 1 says, “This is the best…”
The Mad Stallion forces realize that an enemy took control of one their vehicles and starts shooting at it. Unit 1 lowers his head as the glass breaks. He says on the radio, “Did the prisoners make it?” One the troops say, “Yes with the help of the unicorn’s…” Unit 1 interrupts, “Good, close the door! I’ll have to get in another way.”
As Unit 1 drives away from the box car, the Mad Stallion commander gives the forces permission to destroy the train so some of the Mad Stallions start firing missiles at their enemies. Unit 1’s APC took 3 missiles before exploding and Unit 1 fires through the air hoping the sand will break his fall.
The train slows down and the MS fast attack force surrounds the train. Unit 1 gets up and he hears a voice on the radio saying, “Don’t worry Battle Commander, we are coming to get you.” Unit 1 sees that the train is getting surrounded by the attack force and he says, “Don’t stop, keep going… I will catch up.” A soldier says, “But sir…” Unit 1 says as he fires his magnum, “I’ll be fine, besides you have at least 100 lives on the line and your job is to protect them.” The soldier says, “One of the rules we have is not to leave a fellow soldier behind even if…” Unit 1 says, “Cut that sappy bullshit and leave me behind.” A voice says, “We won’t have to.”
Dark clouds quickly gather in over the battle and the roar of engines fill the air (Pelican engines). As the clouds are gathering, a lot of Pegasi fly up into the clouds and the MS attack force start firing their guns into the sky. Unit 1 gets a confused look on his face as he keeps on firing at the Mad Stallions. It starts to rain… lighting bolts at the Mad Stallions and the Pelicans fire blindly at the ground.
Unit 1 quickly takes cover from the incoming fire and a Pegasus lands in front of him. Unit 1 checks the wounded body. He sees that the body was hit by a Pelican and got shot in a front and a rear leg but the Pegasus was still breathing. He asks Unit 1, “Am I dead?” Unit 1 drags the Pegasus to cover and he answers, “Not yet.”
After a few seconds, an explosion is heard and pieces of metal land around Unit 1 and the Pegasus including a Mad Stallion. The Mad Stallion loses his legs and is bleeding bad. Unit 1 says to the Mad Stallion, “Listen to me and you’ll be in a better place.” The Mad Stallion asks, “Aren’t you going to kill me?” Unit 1 says, “You’re going to die anyways. Now close your eyes, ignore what is going on around and picture in your mind what you always wanted to be. Don’t tell me what it is but tell me when you have it in your mind.” The Mad Stallion closes his eyes and as the Pelicans’ attacks die out, he says with a smile, “I got it.” Unit 1 pulls out his magnum, points to the Mad Stallion’s head and says, “Here is your ticket to your dream.” He pulls the trigger and the Mad Stallion dies a better death than his comrades.
The Pegasus asks with a shocked look on his face, “What just happened?” Unit 1 answers as he rips parts of the Mad Stallion’s uniform, “I gave him the bullet train.” The Pegasus asks, “The what?” Unit 1 says as he uses the strips of the uniform to patch up the Pegasus, “It is a way to stop a dying person’s suffering and send them to their perfect dream. You do this to a good friend or…”
Bullets fly towards the rocks, Unit 1 and the Pegasus put their heads down. Unit 1 says, “Back to work.” He gives the Pegasus a Mad Stallion pistol and ammo. “Here is your new weapon if you want a new weapon or ammo, you can take it from our dead friend.” The Pegasus says nervously, “I don’t know…” Unit 1 says to him, “Shut up, stay grounded and point the hole of the gun at a horse in a red uniform until he can’t get up and stops moving. Good luck.”
Unit 1 moves to new cover but before he can get a shot the Mad Stallions put their hooves up. The lighting stops and water can be heard hitting the metal. Unit 1 says to the landed Pegasus, “Hold your… put the weapon down.” Unit 1 looks at a few Stallions and says in embarrassment, “He’s a fresh conscript.” One of the Mad Stallion laughs as if it was a mild joke.
Unit 1 says to the Mad Stallions, “Alright drop your weapons…” A Mad Stallion charges at Unit 1 with an ax screaming, “Die you poor excuse for…” Unit 1 shoots the MS’s head and the body slides on the mud towards a destroyed vehicle. Unit 1 says, “Anyone else want rush to their death?” He looks around. “Good. As I was saying, drop your weapons and then put your hooves up.” The Mad Stallions did as instructed and Unit 1 looks around to make sure they weren’t up to anything.
Unit 1 says on the radio, “Clear the caboose. It is going to be our new jail car.” A voice says, “Yes, sir.” Unit 1 says to the Mad Stallions, “Alright everyone in the caboose… now!” The Pegasus walks by Unit 1. Unit 1 puts his arm in front of him and says, “Not you. But I do need help your with the prisoners.” A voice incoming says, “We got it.” A bunch of Pegasi surrounds their new prisoners and escort them to the caboose. Unit 1 says to the Pegasus, “Ok… let’s get on the train before the tanks come.” Unit 1 rushes to the train.
The Pegasus walks to the train to see what just happened. He sees the dead bodies, destroyed vehicles, and ashes all over the place. He says to himself, “We did this.” As the Pegasus gets closer, he accidently steps on a dead Pegasus. The dead body shocks and frightened the Pegasus and then he run to the train to hopefully escape the scene. Unit 1 says to the Pegasus, “You better get use to that because you’ll be seeing that again and again if you’re lucky.”
Unit 1 says on the radio, “Is everyone in the train?” A lot of yes sirs are heard. Applejack says, “We’re got our eyes on the train.” A pilot is heard flipping through a book and then he says, “We got you covered.” Unit 1 says to the pilots, “I hope you have enough fuel to stay with us because it is going to be a long trip back to Canterlot.”
The train and everyone on it are ready to leave but the Pelicans can’t go on the trip with the train. Unit 1 is talking with the leaders (but mostly Applejack) about the situation with a quick meeting.
Unit 1 says to Applejack, “Get it through your skull. The Pelicans don’t have enough fuel to make the route we’re taking. The pilots said so.” Applejack says, “Those pilots don’t know anything.” Unit 1 looks at a few of the pilots and then says to Applejack, “They are new to this but they got your ass here in one piece, didn’t they?” Applejack stands there silently try to think what to say.
Unit 1 turns to the rest of the ponies, “Alright people, I have a simple plan. Put the children and the elderly in the Pelicans with a few… just the children and elderly. We need as many armed forces we can get.” The group raises up their hooves and Unit 1 says while holding up a gun, “People with these.” The group put their hooves down. The pilot with a star on his helmet says, “So your plan is to have me and the other pilots babysit a bunch of kids and old ponies.” Unit 1 says, “Do you want more guns pointed at your ships…” The pilot shakes his head. “Then get ready to leave for Canterlot now.” The pilot says, “Yes sir.” He gallops out of the room.
Unit 1 looks at his wounds and then back at the group and says, “What are you waiting for. Get the old and the young on those Pelicans, now! And someone get me a magnet and a medkit.” Everyone but Applejack leaves the room.
Applejack says to Unit 1, “Who ya think ya are bossin’ us around like this? I don’t like ya plan because Apples always stick together no matter what.” A lot of yeahs are heard outside the door. Unit 1 says to her, “I am the man saving your family’s asses. Unless you can snap your fingers and somehow get us out of enemy territory without firing a shot, separating into 2 groups is… wait a minute you don’t have any. So shut up and get some bandages before I bleed…”
A bunch of fillies go rushing in saying, “Cutie Mark Doctors, go!” 4 fillies rush into the room with first aid kits, bandages, and band aids. Unit 1 says as he pulls out a shard of metal from his guts, “Where’s the magnet? The bullets inside of me are kiiiiilllling me.” Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo faint, Apple Bloom screams at the top of her lungs, and Babs Seed looks like she is going to throw up. Unit 1 says he as pulls a few more shards of metal, “I guess it’s your first day being meeeeedics. You’ll see stuff like this a looooott so can you put bandages on me aaaaas pulling out these pieeeces of shrapnel.”
As Unit 1’s getting healed (slowly), Applejack sneaks out of the room and she says under her breath, “I don’t know what fingers are but I know somepony’s claws that make things appear when he snaps ‘em.” Applejack walks to a Pelican to call up an old “friend”, or is it “associate”. I guess that’s more of personal taste.
Back with Unit 1, a white unicorn (with a red cross on her flank) barely arrives and quickly starts patching him up. Unit 1 says, “One of you two girls, wake up your comrades they need to take mental notes of how to…” The white unicorn looks at the fillies says, “Cutie Mark Crusaders? Ugh, can you fillies leave, this is serious business and I don’t want your ‘help’ with this.” Unit 1 says, “If they can’t help with healing how about if I ask them some questions instead.” The unicorn says, “That’s more of their choice.” The 4 fillies say, “Cutie Mark…!”
A soldier come in and says, “We are almost done, we got a few cars to go including in here.” He looks at the CMC. Unit 1 says, “They will stay here because they are going to be integrated.” The girls gasp, Unit 1 sighs and says, “Fine, I’ll use the word, ‘Questioned’ do you like that term better?” The ponies say, “Oh.” Unit 1 says, “Remind the pilots not to go in any fights and take the safest route back to the nearest base, city, town or whatever.” The soldier says, “Yes, sir.” Unit 1 says to the soldier before he leaves, “Oh one more thing, tell the train engineer to start moving when the pilots get up into the sky.” The soldier says, “Yes sir” He leaves the room.
Unit 1 says to the girls, “I didn’t get your names, what are they?” Apple Bloom says, “I’m Apple Bloom, the one ya saved.” Babs Seed says, “I’m Babs Seed… sorry about trying to stop you earlier.” Unit 1 says, “It’s fine, next.” Scootaloo awkwardly says, “I’m Scootaloo, umm...” Unit 1 looks at Sweetie Belle and asks her, “And what’s yours?” she says, “I’m Sweetie Belle.” Unit 1 says to the medic, “So what’s your name?” The unicorn says, “Redheart, are you going to ask me questions?” Unit 1 says, “Later, after you have healed the others.” Redheart says, “Ok.”
Unit 1 says to the CMC, “Let the questioning begin, first question to Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, do you know anyone important or powerful?” Sweetie looks down and says, “We did…” Scootaloo says in anger, “Until that Monster killed them and took the Elements of Harmony with him.” Apple Bloom says, “Now when I think about it, I saw Applejack a couple of minuties ago and I thought she was a…a goner too.” Scootaloo says, “We saw her and the others get killed … didn’t we?” Sweetie says in excitement, “Does that mean Rarity is alive?” Apple Bloom says, “Maybe…”
Unit 1 says, “Hey, I’m suppose to be asking the questions here. So what are these Elements of Harmony, anyway?” Scootaloo says, “They are powerful.” Sweetie Belle says, “They are pretty jewels.” Apple Bloom says, “They are a symbol of friendship or at least that’s what my sister said they were.” Unit 1 looks at Babs Seed and asks, “You have anything to say?” Babs Seed says, “The only thing I know is that they have the power to save Equestria.”
The Pelicans fly off and the train starts moving. A few seconds after the Pelicans leave, artillery starts hitting the train. Unit 1 says to the fillies, “Hide under something, now!” All of the fillies expect Scootaloo hide under a bench. Unit 1 says to Scootaloo as he pulls out his magnum, “Get under something, now.” Scootaloo says, “I’m not afraid of…” An artillery shell hits the roof of the car and blasts some of it off. Scootaloo says as she joins her friends, “It’s not just a scary sound got it.”
Unit 1 moves to a pile of guns and says on the radio, “Engineers move this train faster.” An engineer says, “I rushing through this manual as we speak.” Unit 1 picks up a missile launcher and whispers to himself, “Just in case.”
Unit 1 moves through the cars looking for a ladder while avoiding artillery shells and the holes that they made. When Unit 1 finds a way up, he climbs up and peeks through the door. The artillery fire quickly dies and is replaced with the roar of engines. Assault Hovercrafts come into sight and they get their missiles and bombs ready. Unit 1 quickly equips the missile launcher, aims at what looks like a bomber and Unit 1 says under his breath, “Goodbye you son of…” The Hovercrafts suddenly turn into butterflies and the pilots quickly deploy their parachutes. Unit 1 finishes sentence in awkward tone, “butterflies?” Unit 1 is too stunned of what happened to fire at the pilots.
Unit 1 says on the radio, “Troops, Can one of you explain how aircraft randomly turn into butterflies?” A voice says, “If you want to know I’ll give you a guess before I show you the trick.” Unit 1 says, “I got nothing. Wait a minute, who is this?” A snake like figure comes out of his ear piece. The figure turns out to be Discord and he says to the soldier, “It was me, Discord and my magical claws.” Unit 1 looks at Discord and says, “Did you come out of my…?” Unit 1 feels for his ear piece but it not there. He looks around and sees his earpiece on the ground lying there in piece. Unit 1 says, “How I am going to talk with the others, now?” Discord says, “What are you talking about, I can understand you clearly.” Unit 1 says, “Look like you have to be my interrupter until we can get into… wait a minute. You made metal into butterflies, right?” Discord says, “It was my special touch of stopping them.” Unit 1 says, “It’s very poetic. Can you teleport this train and everyone in it in safe or at least natural territory?” Discord says, “You mean like this.”
Discord snaps his claws and the train gets teleported onto a track in the middle of snowy land. Unit 1 looks around and says, “Well at least we have the cover of the blizziard when it comes. When to we reach the, what the…?” Unit 1 turns around to see the track leading into a land that suddenly is green and sunny. Unit 1 says, “Something isn’t right here.” Unit 1 points his gun at the front of the train and he screams into the radio, “Stop the train!” Unit 1 feels his ear and remembers his earpiece is destroyed and says, “Great, how am I suppose to warn them about the possible trap?” Discord rolls his eyes and teleports them closer to the train station.
When they get to the train station, the engineers hit the emergency brake. Discord says to Unit 1, “I take it you don’t like relaxing train rides.” Unit 1 says as he leaves, “We are in a war and death can be anywhere even in places that look safe. If you excuse me I have to find a new ear piece and get escorted by the MP to my cell.” Discord says while riding on Unit 1’s shoulder, “Sounds like you have a plan of what to do. Iihhh… I hate being organized; there is no fun or surprises about it when you know what’s going to happen.” Unit 1 says to Discord as he opens the door to the station, “You’ll be surprised of how easily plans can change at anytime.”
A voice in the distance says, “Hey Unit 1, I’m back!” Unit 1 immediacy says under his breath, “Great, out all of the people, he’s first.” Discord asks as Unit 1 tries to ignores the voice’s owner, “Who is that?” Crazy D says to Discord, “I’m Crazy D, Mr. Discord…” He wraps around Unit 1. “And this is my friend Unit 1.” Unit 1 says, “You’re that type of comrade I’ll be behind in a fight.” Crazy D says, “Aww that was…” Unit 1 continues, “To take the bullets for me.” Crazy D says, “Well so much for waiting for you to soften up. Anyways I’m here to escort you to the game to help with us decide which you is the real you.” Unit 1 says, “Let’s get this trial over with.” Crazy D says, “You’ll enjoy this game; I should know, I designed…” Unit 1 has a worried look on his face as Crazy D continues, “that reminds me. I need to your pocket Discord to put in the final touches.” Discord says, “Sure, I’ll help. Games are more fun when I have a claw in.” As Crazy D and Discord laugh, Unit 1 quick reloads his guns and tightens his bandages to prepare for Crazy D’s game.
Rebuilding Brick by Brick
At the tunnel exit, Ground Squad was playing Uno from cards that one of them found in his UNSC uniform. A voice from the tunnel says, “Girls, I think the exit is this way.” One of the guardsponies says, “All right stallions, get ready.” They drop their cards and get into cover. Another guardpony complains, “I almost had Uno.” A few noises come from the cave. The first guardpony says, “Shhh, they’re coming.”
Pinkie Pie and a few excited soldiers rush out of the cave and one of them gets shot by one of the waiting troopers. The wounded pony says, “What the buck was that for?” The shooter says, “Oops, sorry.”
Pinkie Pie goes to the wounded pony and says, “I know what to do.” She pulls a medkit out of nowhere and slaps it on the guardpony. The guardspony gets fully healed, gets up and says, “What was that…” He notices his wound is gone. “I’m healed, thank Celestia!” A voice says, “I didn’t have a hoof in your recovery.”
The guardponies turn to see the princesses and the other survivors come out of the tunnel. They bow down to the approaching princesses. Luna says to the bowing guards, “Rise loyal guards…” They get up. “We see that Unit 1 and Crazy D supplied thou with new weapons and armor.” Celestia asks the guards, “Speaking of Unit 1, where is he?” One of the guards says, “Last time we heard from him was on these ear things and his last words were ‘What are you talking about…’, then we heard a strange buzz and it got silent. I’m sure that he is fine considering he took on a lot of their guys with the exception of MAC.” Another soldier says, “It has been a while, almost a couple of hours, you would think that thing would be back by now.”
Crazy D says on the radio, “One of you ponies tell your friends that I’m giving you guys a present that you’ll all need.” The highest ranking guardspony says, “I’ll tell the princesses and the others.” Princess Celestia asks, “Tell our what, Sergeant Blitz?”
Suddenly 2 metal boxes appear in the sky. They get bigger with every second. The ponies look up in the sky and some of them wonder what magic is in those crates to make them fly and/or what’s in them. As the boxes get closer, the Pelicans carrying them become visible and they quickly drop off the boxes. The boxes start to form a structure.
When the structure was finished, its AI turned on. The AI says on the radio, “Firebase complete.”
As the ponies get closer, the AI reacts by requesting a MAC round from LE to make up for the fire base’s lack of defenses. LE quickly updates the new AI on what’s going on. The AI argues with LE on the information that she gave him. The ponies walk into the firebase and look at the futuristic architecture, technology, and equipment.
The Mane 6 and the Princesses find their way to the command room. They see computers, buttons, a rack full of data logs, and a lot of other high tech gear. Pinkie Pie gets close to some buttons, Twilight sees her and says, “Don’t touch…” Pinkie Pie presses random buttons and asks Twilight, “Don’t touch what?”
A hologram of a UNSC soldier in standard armor and a helmet with a visor but no face appears and he says in an angry tone, “Stop touching my buttons.” He sees the ponies all over the firebase with his cameras and says in worry, “Covenant in my base...” Screens appear nearby the hologram and the AI looks though the screens. “What do I have?” Pinkie answers, “You have blinking buttons, metal doors…” A holo-keyboard appears in front of the AI and he types on it while saying with great confidence, “Thank you alien, you gave me an idea.”
The doors in the firebase close shut and cause some casualties on few of the curious ponies inside the base. A few seconds later, the doors get enforced by a thick cover of metal and the controls, beds, garages and other storages get covered with a similar metal covering. The screens have the words, (Lockdown complete) typed on them, and they show two loading bars on them. One bar is red while the other is yellow. All the ponies in the firebase look at the screens with curiosity. Twilight looks at the hologram and asks him, “What is that?” The AI says calmly, “A surprise.” Twilight asks, “What kind of surprise?” Pinkie Pie turns to Twilight and says, “He won’t tell you because it wouldn’t a surprise if he told you, silly.”
When the yellow loading bar was done loading, it disappears and the red bar gets centered and it is almost full. The AI says, “Good bye.”
The red bar stops loading and gets replaced by big bold words that say, (Self Destruct Aborted ). The AI looks at the screen and says, “That shouldn’t have happened.”
The Lunar Eyes' hologram (A woman with dark purple skin and hair that looks like the night) appears nearby the Brick's hologram and says, “Brick, I’m the one who deactivated your countdown because it wasn’t necessary.” Brick says, “Lunar Eye, this isn’t any of your concern. I am just…” Lunar Eye interrupts, “It is my concern, When you are about to destroy our new allies and then you gave me your base authority when you tried to save yourself by transferring to the moon’s computers. I was quickly updated on your plan and stopped it.” Brick asks, “How did you do that?” Lunar Eye says, “You must have not read my file or you would have known I am a command AI so that means I’m your superior, and I have power over all the bases in any area of this planet. Besides you’re a base AI, your purpose is to maintain only one base, defend it and to give local troops support.” Brick says, “I was made to help out ‘UNSC’ troops and to stop any and all Covenant at any means possible.”
Twilight taps on Brick’s hologram. Brick turns to her and says in an unhappy tone, “What is this, alien?” Twilight says, “Excuse me Brick but we are not Covenant and we don’t even know who they are.” Brick says, “That statement is hard to believe.” Lunar Eye says, “Look up all known Covenant species and files to confer that they’re Covenant.” Brick says with confidence, “I will.”
A blanket of red light goes through the firebase; it passes through every pony like air. Some ponies tremble with it and quickly calm down when the light passes through, while others wondered what just happened. When the red touches the tip of the other side of the firebase, it vanishes.
Back with the AI’s, Brick says in relief, “The UNSC has no files on these aliens so that means they are not Covenant.” Lunar Eye says, “I told you.” Brick says in confusion, “But what does that make them?” Princess Celestia says, “We are allies, Brick.” Brick says calmly, “Alright we’re allies for now but I’ll keep my eyes on you.” He points to one of the cameras in the room.
The ponies in the room look at the cameras and Pinkie Pie gets ready for a picture.
Brick begins to type on his holo-keyboard and he says, “I’m going to get a basic firebase ready by starting with a barracks.”
The base shakes for a few seconds and metal floor surrounding the base opens one of its panels and a structure slowly comes out of it. Rainbow Dash asks, “What was that?” Brick says, “That’s the barracks being built.” Fluttershy asks Brick nervously, “Can…Can I go now?” Lunar Eye says to Brick, “Yes Brick remove the locks so ‘all’ of our new allies can move freely in the base.” Brick looks at his security screens and says, “I will deactivate the lockdown right now and to let you know a handful of your fellow troops are going to need medical attention to put them back together.” He shows them the wounded troops. Fluttershy and Rarity faint at the sight of the wounded.
The thick layers of metal go away, the doors open, and the group of friends quickly leave the room to help the wounded. Unknowingly, they left Fluttershy and Rarity on the floor and Pinkie Pie still waiting for her picture to be taken.
Lunar Eye says to Brick, “Brick, I think you can handle this from here.” Brick says, “Yes, ma’am.” Lunar Eye disconnects with the firebase. Brick looks at the progress of the Barracks and it is 17% completed.
Pinkie Pie says, “I’m ready for my picture so what do I say?” Brick says, “They aren’t that type of cameras.” Pinkie Pie says excitingly, “They aren’t that type of cameras.” Brick giggles and says, “I’ll let you figure it out.”
