Chapters I pulled my glass sword out of the Falmer's head, I opened the door to the grand occulatory, I walked up the path to the controls, I put the square into its slot and the sphere into its own. I started mashing buttons in what seemed like a random pattern, but what really was a very intricate puzzle. I covered my eyes getting used to the grand brightness that now filled the room as the diamond opened to reveal, the Elder Scrolls. The Scrolls looked like they were giving off light, and I felt a large sense of vertigo as I picked it up. I thought back to what Paarthurnax said, "Once you have found it, make sure to bring it back, and do not read it yet.", I thought for a moment, "nah, greedy bastard probably wanted it for himself, I didn't just fight all those guys to not have a reward." I thought to myself.
I left through a side door, opening my map, I set a location, it was a few hours of slicing, dicing, and chopping until I finally got to the 7000 steps. "Yeah, I definitely deserve something for going through all this." I thought bitterly. I walked up the stairs, which seemed agonizingly slow, I sat down to catch my breath, I really hated high altitudes, this was no exception. I got back up when I heard a howl, I instinctively pulled out my bow, notched an arrow and got one in-between the eyes of the one out of five wolves. I swapped to my sword and fireballs, I launched a few fireballs only killing three, which only left one. I charged with a battle-cry, I slashed at its leg, then I got a lucky hit in its neck. It dropped dead as soon as my sword left the wound.
I continued up my long journey, reading the historic statues set up on the path. I kept on walking until I found a frost troll, the fight was uneventful, I killed it with dual handed electricity before it could even get close. I finally reached the training grounds where I first learned how to whirlwind sprint. I nodded respectively to Master Arngier as I passed him. I used the shout clear skies on the giant wind funnels blocking the path up. By the time I reached Paathurnax, I was already bone-tired and just wanted to get this over with. You have no idea how tiring it is to continually shout at wind. I climbed and reached where Paarthurnax lay, I walked into the floating lights where a ghost was standing and read it, I of course being tired as I was, I read it before I was supposed to. I felt my eyes burning, my body started shaking as Paarthurnax shouted "Dragonborn!!" I just stood there staring at the intricate lines, while my face felt like it was being melted.
I felt like I was being tugged by some great force, then all I saw was blackness, I heard silence, I tasted a hint of metal, my head hit something hard. Then I lost consciousness.
Chapter 1 - This isnt Skyrim
I groaned feeling a pulsing in my head. I was lying on my back, a warm breeze found its way into some chinks in my Nightingale armor. I slowly opened my green slit like eyes to looked around me, I sat up feeling a bit nausea, I checked my armor, nothing wrong in its finely woven silent fabric. I checked my blade, to see a part of it chipped but the fire enchantment that did 25 damage was still on, for which I was glad. My Orcish bow was fine, I checked my quiver to see I still had roughly 75 Orcish arrows, 56 Elven, 64 Steel, 5 Daedric, and unlimited magical arrows. I checked my pack, potions, check, food, check, ingredients, check. I furrowed my brow, causing my blue head feathers to dance and my horns to quiver. Nothing was wrong, what happened?
I finally tore my eyes away from my own body, and looked around me. My eyes took in all the information, until my ears finally decided to work as I heard a few birds chirping. I was in a clearing, I slowly got up as I felt a dull ache in my right leg. I looked over myself, I used a healing spell on myself, feeling much better and the ache gone I stood up straight and stretched rippling my feathers. I looked around trying to get my bearings, I was on a mountain, until... until what? Then it hit me and I groaned in my own stupidity. I had opened the scroll to early! I looked for a mountain, until I saw one with what looked like a city on it.
I looked at its peak to see that this wasn't the same mountain as in Skyrim. Was I thrown to a different land, or did I travel through the scroll to this place? I decided on neither and walked toward the mountain, I realized that my magic seemed to take a bit less to use, and it seemed to have a green tinge in color, I noticed this when I used my flames spell to burn some brush in my way. I used my shout of detect life which is more like a whisper, I took note of the few heartbeats I saw. One was a fast heartbeat, presumably a mouse, another was up high, obviously a bird. I glanced around taking in the different heartbeats, when I saw one that seemed to go slow, fast, slow, fast in a weird pattern.
I was quite confused by this, I walked over to it, heartbeats didn't go in that pattern. I saw a few more appear that were going in the same pattern as the others. I pushed past a bush to see green eyes staring back at me. I let out a surprised yelp as it jumped at me, I rolled to the left, my fighting abilities kicking in. I shouted with un-relenting force, the wood construct shattered against a tree. Two more jumped out and tried to flank me but I placed a frost rune behind me, I pulled out my sword and chopped the body of the other one into half, I heard a explosion behind me I turned around to see a frozen wooden wolf.
I looked at the frozen one, it was just a wolf, but it was made of wood. Did Dwarves make these too? "But it had a heartbeat, it must be natural." I thought to myself, I pondered this problem as I continued traveling towards the mountain.
______________________________________________________________________________________________
I could see light ahead, I pushed past some more vines and brush, I looked out through the foliage to see a settlement, my eyes turned from there usual thin slits, to even thinner as I saw the residents. I saw technicolored horses, some had wings, others had horns, but weirdest of all, they had houses, and could speak. From my position and fine ears, I caught a few snatches of conversation.
"Hey, did you hear what happ..."
"How many bi..."
"...you should really..."
"...this is a nice flow..."
I told myself, "This has to be a dream, this is definitely a dream!" My mouth dropped as I saw a few trading gold coins for fresh vegetables and other items. "They have a currency?" I was dumbstruck, "How could horses do this?", "Better yet, how do they even build this stuff?" I shook my head at my own questions. My raspy voice became even raspier "How do they, even speak Nordic?" It was hard enough for me, my natural voice was so much easier but most speak Nordic so I took the time to learn it.
A few ponies looked at the forest I was in with a disapproving glare, like they wanted it gone, to be honest I was happy it was here, and extremely happy that my natural color was green. Green was a common color, but right now it made the different between getting caught or staying hidden. I was glad of my family heritage, my father was a light green like a gecko, my mother was a deep rich green. Both considered commoners in Argonian standards, but as of right now I was glad. But I was also a Nightingale, which might have something to do with it. My armor had padded boots, my gloves helped me steal, my chest piece helped me stay hidden. I was so good at stealth that I learned a natural spell, that allowed me to turn invisible for a second when I wanted, this allowed me to sneak away quickly.
I ran my tongue over my fangs, but quickly stopped, if I was going to befriend them, I seriously doubt eating them will do much good with a friendship of a vegetarian. I snuck over to the back of the house closest to my hiding place, I used a invisibility spell I learned from one of the students of the College of Winterhold. This turned out to be a good idea because just than a yellow pony with a horn came out the back door, the second I used the spell. I rolled away from the house, I saw a giant tree, that had windows and light coming from the inside. This would be a good place to stay at, I using my nails, climbed up to the branches of the tree, doing my best to make minimal sound.
I climbed through the branches, I surveyed the land before me. I saw a building that looked like it was made of gingerbread, I let my gaze roll over the scene, seeing a few ordinary houses, a white house which looked quite elegant, a farm off into the distance, a hut near the forest I used to be in, and what seemed to be a cloud house. I looked at it a bit longer to see a rainbow colored blur fly past, I felt the part of the tree I was on creak, I stepped back only to find my foot sink into the tree with a crack, panic filled me, suddenly the ground gave out and I fell, but with my long history of sneaking I learned its best not to scream when you fall.
Everything rose to fast to comprehend, but I did see lots of books, as my stomach hit a wood statue in the center of the room, my head hit the floor and I was lost to blackness....
My gut flared in pain, my head felt dizzy and weak. I didn't groan this time when I awoke, this time I gasped, I shot up, I had a few seconds to realize, my mid-section was held down by a purple aura, I glared at the lavender pony off to my right holding me down with fear in its eyes, its horn seemed to be a lit by a mystical glow. I sputtered in my raspy voice, "Who are you?". It cocked its head and responded but not letting up the magic that seemed to hold me down. "You.... You, speak Equestrian?" She, I assumed it was a she, continued, "What , are you?"
"If you let up this magic, because its starting to hurt now, ill tell you." I responded
"Now, why would I do that?" She said with a sly grin, realizing she had power over me
"I would burn you," I showed her by spouting a flame from my hand, "But, I would much rather not have to torch your lovely abode." I grinned showing my fangs.
At this she let me up, but kept her horn lit, then a door opened above me, I looked up a staircase to see a purple bi-pedal dragon come out and yawn, "Twilight..." The rest was cut off as he stared at me, "Twilight... what... is that?" He kept on staring. I responded with venom laced in my voice, "Dragon..." but I was also curious, this is the first bi-pedal, and dragon of this sort I've ever face. I was thrown against the wall by the lavender mare's telekinetic powers, "What are you?" She asked, "WHAT ARE YOU?" She asked again this time making me cringe.
Of course you wouldn't expect a Argonian to cringe to a mere pony, but her horn was flaring and I wasn't liking the all to familiar look of anger on her face. "I'm an Argonian," I looked at her and gave a sly grin, "I've got magic too by the way." I activated my ability of histskin, which instantly started sucking up the mare's magical energy. I was able to get up, as her magic started fading and lost its ability to hurt me as I gained in strength from the energy she supplied me. I looked back at the dragon, which was now writing a message, "Dragon," At this he looked back shocked to see me no longer being held down, "Pray tell, who is that message for?" He just gulped and went back down to writing it.
The lavender mare, eventually gave up and flopped to the floor, obviously drained. I glanced over at her, "You know, I would very much appreciate it, if you didn't try and lock me up, also I thought you'd stop when you realized your power was being drawn." I looked back at the dragon, I using my rarely used spell, telekinesis, I grabbed the letter and brought it over, the dragon was currently trying to grab hold of it, only ripping it on the corner. It read.
Dear,
Princess Celestia
We have a very urgent situation going on at Twilight's house, please get here with haste, we need your direct intervention. A strange creature ha
I grimaced at the letter, I looked at the dragon who was looking quite nervous, I threw the letter down, burning it, but having atleast enough caution to not burn the tree, I looked over at the lavender mare that had finally found her feet, sorry hooves and was giving me a venomous glare. "So," I started, "what exactly is your name, where are we, what time is it and why do you have a pet dragon?" I said the last part giving the small bi-pedal creature a glare that could kill a Nord.
She took a shaky breath, "My name is Twilight, we are in Ponyville, its about evening, and I have a baby dragon as a assistant." I gave her a surprised look, "You gave the information, almost willingly, not as if I hadn't just threatened you and your pet dragon." She looked at me confused, before replying, "Now you tell me about yourself, you said something about being an Argonian, now what is that?" She had recovered enough to say this without stuttering or at the very least looking tired.
I started with my heritage, where I came from, told her I was a dragonborn, what happened up to the point where I came here, and my name, Jiques. After this little talk, she just seemed interested, but before she could ask any questions, I asked mine. "Twilight, what is your dragon's name?" I asked. She was about to respond but the tiny creature beat her to it, "My name is Spike." He said through clenched teeth, I could tell he didn't like the whole dragonborn thing. "So, you can shout or produce a Thu'um and each one has different abilities?" Twilight asked. "Care to demonstrate?" I answered by simply looking at her bookshelves and yelling "FUS RO DAH!" and the entire wall of books fell to the floor in a very dramatic style.
She looked dumbstruck, as her jaw hung opened. She shook her head and looked at me, "That is incredible! And you only did that with your voice!" She looked impressed but a few seconds later, someone was knocking on the door. Twilight quickly shot up and said, "Quick, hide in the kitchen!" I just turned invisible and stood by the kitchen door. Twilight opened the door to see a orange pony with a blonde mane. However she didn't have a horn or wings, the orange one said "Hey Twi, ah heard some shoutin' comin' from y'all's house so ah decided to check it out, everythin' okay?" The orange mare looked worried, "Yeah, Applejack everything is fine, just a shelf broke and I got frustrated." Twilight said smiling dismissively. Applejack tried to look behind her, but Twilight blocked her view, "Okay, but just come an' get me if ya need anythin' okay?" She said in her deep southern accent, Twilight just nodded as Applejack turned to walk away.
Twilight closed the door and turned around to go to the kitchen, I materialized in front of her giving her a start, she backpedaled a bit before she calmed down. "So that was one of your friends I presume." I stated, she just nodded weakly. "I don't think she was taking this well" I thought to myself, as I was about to ask her where I would sleep, because I had noticed it was starting to turn dark, Spike coughed up some green flame and I drew my sword instinctively, but quickly holstered it as I saw a message fall from the flames he spewed.
Spike grabbed it and opened it, before Twilight could do anything he read.
Dear,
Twilight Sparkle
I have found a large area full of magical residue in the Everfree forest, I believe something may have transported from another world, but there is nothing within the vicinity so I warn you to be cautious, this thing may be dangerous.
From,
Princess Celestia
Chapter 3 - Becoming known
"I see I'm becoming known already." I said
"Oh, this is not good! This is not good!" She glanced around looking for something. I just gave her a quizzical look, "Shouldn't it be fine? Trust me, I've seen weirder things than talking ponies, but how bad could this be seeing a new creature, and a sentient one at that." I said it calmly, she just looked at me like I was crazy. "You cant just walk out there! If they see you there will be a riot!" She started sweating, "Spike, send a letter to Princess Celestia, tell her to get here fast!" I rolled my eyes, I spoke in my home language "Idiot." Then I said in Nordic, "Honestly, you don't need to worry so much. You only found me because of a hole in the top of your tree."
She looked at me and asked, "What was that first thing you said?" she added, "I meant in that other... language of yours." I just laughed and said, "Nothing." I looked back over at the purple dragon, he finished writing the letter, wrapped it in a seal and burned it. "How, is burning a letter supposed to help us?" I asked, he turned around to look at me, "I didn't burn it, I just sent it to the princess." I just shook my head, a minute later a message came from Spike, he unrolled it and read, "I'll be there shortly, I'm busy with some meetings." He looked up from the message, "That's all it says." He said plainly.
My stomach rumbled, I looked down at my belly, I was about to pull out a roasted rabbit leg, but I remembered where I was and instead pulled out a loaf of bread and ate it, the feeling of hunger instantly diminished. I felt a bit tired, "Twilight..." The rest was cut off by a white pony that had both wings and a horn appear with a brilliant flash of light. Its eyes widened the second it saw me, "Let me guess, your Princess Celestia?" The white pony I was eye level with nodded, "So, the situation is, I came here by accidentally, opening the Elder Scrolls a bit early, I don't know if I got sucked into the scroll or got blown up and landed in this land." The white pony regained her composure, "Okay, but please tell me, what are you ?"
I groaned, are they all gonna be like this? "I'm an Argonian, a commoner in my race, but I have the abilities of a very deadly assassin, I am a dragonborn, that means I can use the ability of Thu'um, while others can to, they cant grasp it as easily as I can. My job was to kill the dragons that were attacking Skyrim, the place I came from. I have the ability of histskin, which allows me to suck up any magical energies that are enacted upon me. I can also use my own magicka reserves to cast flames, electricity, frostbite (I'm quite the magician!), and other spells like illusions and spells that change my skin from, scales to stone, wood, or iron."
She just nodded as I finished, "Care to demonstrate?" I decided not to use the flames, but I showed her my ability of whirlwind sprint, and paralyzed Twilight's dragon much to her dismay, but I re-assured her he would be fine in a minute or two. I was gasping at the end of my demonstration, (Yes, doing all this REALLY does take a lot of energy.) I drunk a vigor potion instantly feeling better, I also drank a magicka potion, the two ponies and the dragon were impressed with my ability of magic.
"So, I see you have magical ability, now what about physical?" I just grinned, I pulled out my glass enchanted sword, its red hue giving off an eerie light. I unhooked my bow and whipped it out, drawing a Elven arrow with it. The Princess seemed impressed but then her face darkened. "If you didn't know you were coming here, then why are you so heavily armed?" I just looked at her and laughed, "You call this heavily armed? Apparently you guys don't have creatures of the wild coming out of no where, assassins and thugs coming to try and take you out, and dragons attacking just about everywhere." I took a breath, "This is considered light in my world, some people are armed in full iron armor, with a war hammer and that can be considered casual." They both just looked at me, with terrified looks on their faces.
I took my gear and holstered it, "I'm gonna need to get out some time or later. But its late, so where am I going to sleep?" I looked at them both, "Or, I'll just sleep on the library floor." I snorted, "You guys gonna say anything?" Twilight shook her head and said, "Just sleep, in the library, I'll get a pillow and blanket." With that she left, Princess Celestia looked at me, "If you harm this pony, OR ANY PONY I will not hesitate to kill you!" She said in a hushed yet deadly tone, and to top it off she flared her horn. "Jeez, nice to know that someone here doesn't like me."
Twilight came back with a bundle of cloth and laid it out, I stood near the bed putting down frost runes, "If you try and stab me in back while I sleep, these runes will take care of that being a possibility." I laid down, the white pony had already teleported away. The lavender mare just looked askance and went up to her room, I suddenly got a cold feeling when I closed my eyes, she was putting protection spells around her house, to make sure I didn't leave! Well, I guess I could understand that, I am some unknown creature to her. I slipped into sleep shortly after those thoughts.
I woke to see the sun on my face, I got up and deactivated the runes, I yawned stretching causing my feathers to quiver. I using the shout to see heart beats, I saw Spike's was slow, which meant he was sleeping, I looked for Twilight's, to see her's was in the kitchen. I groggily got up and walked into the kitchen. Twilight jumped at my silent entry, "Good morning Twilight, sleep well?" I said reaching into my bag for a sweet roll, and took a bite, "Not too well, I kept on thinking you'd slice my neck in my sleep." She really didn't look to well, she had bags under her eyes, and her mane was unkempt.
I looked worriedly at her, "You shouldn't worry so much, I'm not gonna hurt you, in fact if I wanted to kill you I could've done it many times over." I gave her a sad smile, she didn't smile back. "How come you don't eat meat? I've seen your teeth, yet all you eat is vegetarian products." I already had an answer for this question, "Even though I can eat meat, I prefer vegetarian foods in your presence because, you are vegetarian, don't you think it would be awkward if I were to whip out a chunk of venison and devour it right before your eyes?" She gave me a curious stare before returning to her toast.
I finished my sweet roll, and said, "I really need to meet more ponies, I cant stay here forever and you know that." Twilight didn't look to happy about this but knew we had to some point or another. I got up, and Twilight followed, I took a breath, this was the moment I would meet something that would be the thing that would eith... My train of thought was interrupted by a knocking on the door.
Twilight used her magic and opened the door, that was when a pink blur came in followed by 3 other ponies, they all came in as Twilight tried to slow the pink one down enough to ask her a question. But when they all saw me they froze, but the pink one seemed to become even more energized if that was even possible. She started gibbering about a party, and the decoration, where it would be and other things. Applejack talked first before the other 2 could say anything, "Twi, what is that thing?" I gave her a look feeling offended, Twilight grasped the pink pony with her magic and closed the door, she instantly settled down.
Before Twilight could say anything I said, "I'm an Argonian, from the lands of Skyrim." Applejack just looked even more confused, the white one with a purple mane spoke up, "Darling, what is an Argonian?" the yellow one with a pink mane behind her gave a squeak once she saw me and dove under the white one. "Well, I think introductions are in order," I said rather cheerfully, giving them all a toothy smile, "I'm an Argonian, a race of bipedal lizards, we can breathe in water and have the ability of histskin which allows us to suck up magic that attacks us, we have different colors to green is common, red is rare and blue you will probably never see, with that being said, my name is Jiques, I am also talented in magic, now you." Applejack looked at the other two expectantly before saying her own, "Ah'm Applejack, mah family runs an apple orchard, we supply the apples 'round here." Next was the white one, "I'm Rarity, I own a dress shop, and I would really like to touch up on your clothes, ooooo! It would be a thrill to make clothes for a new species!"
Next was the pink which literally broke through Twilight's magic and jumped on me, (let me tell you it hurts to get trampled by a horse!) "Hi, I'm Pinkie Pie! OOHH! I got the perfect welcome to Ponyville party! Its gonna need streamers, and balloons and cake never forget the cake! Its gonna need ponies and especially YOU!" She hopped off me, starting hopping around spouting out details of the party. When I finally stood up I noticed I chipped one of my horns, which is where the pain I was experiencing was coming from. I gasped when I touched it, it really did hurt, I took out a small glowing sphere in my hand and healed myself, causing the ponies to gasp, as my horn mended itself.
"Okay, Pinkie, can you cool it for a bit? I don't want to get trampled again." I looked at Pinkie to see she stopped hopping around. but was still talking about preparations. I looked at the cowering yellow Pegasus, that's what they were called right? "What's your name?" The yellow pony squeaked and said very quietly, but I was able to catch it because of my finely tuned Argonian ears. "Fluttershy...."
"Fluttershy," I started, "Why are you so... shy?"
"Because your big, scary, and you have very sharp teeth."
"I'm sorry for scaring you Fluttershy, but I really don't like it when you're scared, its okay, I wont hurt you."
I said this as I tried to coax her out from behind Rarity's back, she finally came out and I gave her a reassuring smile, she just looked pale at the sight of me. I focused my gaze back on Twilight with a resigned sigh, "So, how are we going to introduce Ponyville to me?" I asked.
"No, not yet." Twilight replied.
I looked over at the assembled ponies, all except one was deathly silent. Pinkie still jumping around hit me two more times before I could even dodge. It was by me levitating her (nearly ran outta magicka at that point) with telekinesis to the group of ponies. "There is some stuff I want to know about your world." Twilight said rather enthusiastically. I just gave her a blank look, she continued, "Like maybe some history, and beliefs?" I just shook my head, "The history in my world, well, lets just say, its very brutal violent," I noticed the look on Twilight's face and said, "But there are some good and peaceful times."
As soon as I said this, a shadow loomed over the building, Fluttershy squeaked and dove under Rarity again. My ears picked up a sound of leather against leather, the rustling of leaves and the sound of a... dragon. My mouth gaped as I realized that a dragon was in Equestria! "Twilight, get your friends and yourself to a fireproof place!" As I said this I ran out the door to a beautiful red serpentine creature aloft flying around the town, it screamed at the residents as they scrambled to safety. My hand reached for my bow, I notched an arrow and fired 5 in quick succession only 2 hit, one in the abdomen the other in the left wing.
The dragon screamed in pain and zeroed in on me, it went into a quick dive spewing flames at me, (luckily it didn't hit the tree where the ponies were hiding) I ran out into the field near Twilight's house trying to lure it away from the village. This time it landed, and it stared at me with its yellow reptilian eyes. I set up a ward as it fired another bout of flames and singing the grass. I lunged forward and sliced at its maw, barely missing its eyes. It shouted, "Fus!" I managed to catch myself before I fell over. This time it jumped, I had mere seconds before it snacked on my body, I rolled to the right, feeling its maw where I was a second ago. I summoned a familiar which instantly attacked the dragon, the ghost wolf leaped and tore the dragons wing only to be crushed by its leg.
I jumped on the dragons head, I sliced at its eye, it reared and I nearly flew off, it lifted off with my body still dangling off of one of its scales, I felt a piercing pain somewhere on my body, angered at this, I jabbed my sword through its wounded eye, the momentum giving it enough force to slice through its brain, instantly killing it, it never even got the chance to scream in anguish as we started plummeting towards the ground. I used my Alteration spell of ironskin and hoped it would be enough to keep me alive. I flew through the air when the dragon hit the ground, jarring my head. I landed on my back, I arose and a few ponies were watching in awe, the dragon started to dissipate, its knowledge seemed happy to be meeting a new master.
My body gave off a brilliant light as I sucked in the dragon's power and knowledge. Twilight ran up to me, "Wow, that was amazing! How did you even survive the fall?" As she said that a blue light emanated from my body letting me know that the ironskin spell was wearing off. A ton of ponies came running over, cheering wanted to see who their savior was. "And, that is how you slay a dragon." I said a little dizzy, I reached up to my head and felt something warm and sticky, I looked at my hand to see Twilight gasp, my hand was covered in my blood. I fell to the ground enveloped in a blanket of darkness.
I groaned, I couldn't open my right eye, I felt pain, deep crude pain in my right eye, like someone had driven a nail into my head with a hammer and they were trying to dislodge it. I looked around with my left eye, I was on a bed, the room around me smelled of cleaner, the white wallpaper looked sinister, there was medical equipment everywhere, and it was then I had noticed a screen that was beeping and seemed to show my heart rate, (how did they know where my heart was? Nevermind) I remembered what happened as my senses came rushing back.
Wait, what happened to my head? I felt up and my hand touched soft fabric, I jumped as a pony walked in with a lab coat, my voice sounded raspier then it usually was, "Hello doctor, is there any chance a pony named Twilight is out there?" The doctor seemed a bit scared as he saw that I was awake, "Erm... Yes, there is a pony named Twilight Sparkle in the waiting room, along with 5 other ponies." I looked at him, 5 other ponies? I thought it was just 4? "Doctor, what happened to my eye?" I asked him, he gave me a sad look, "Sorry to say, but it appears you are going to be blind in that eye for the rest of your life." I just looked him an unamused expression abroad my face, I reached into my magical abilities, choosing a dual handed very powerful and magicka consuming spell, I began to use it, the doctor just stared at me as he saw 2 balls of light in either of my hands. As I finished my body was consumed in light, I cut the bandage with my claws, the doctor gasped as he saw the medical phenomenon occur, my eye was healed, but not completely, I could only see so far before things got blurry.
The cuts that were on my forehead were healed, my body felt fatigue starting to take over, but I wouldn't give in just yet I had some ponies to meet, I noticed I still had the cord attached to my chest, I gently took it off and stood up, feeling instant nausea I sat back down gasping as my head spun, "Um, need any help?" I remembered the doctor was there and checked for my bag, only to find it on the ground near the door along with my weapons. "Can I get my bag and gear?" He just nodded and brought it over using his mouth. I wiped away his saliva, I still had my nightingale armor on, it was still in perfect condition (it never seemed to deteriorate), I shakily took out a bottle of vigor and drank it greedily. The doctor cocked his head and asked, "What's that?" I responded in kind, "A stamina potion, does what it says." He seemed interested, "May I have one and the recipe?" I asked for a quill and paper for which is brought quickly, I wrote down.
Bear Claws,
Bee,
Charred Skeever Hide,
Eye of Sabre Cat,
Hawk Beak,
Histcarp,
Honeycomb,
Large Antlers,
Mudcrab Chitin,
Orange Dartwing,
Pearl,
Pine Thrush Egg,
Powdered Mammoth Tusk,
Purple Mountain Flower,
Sabre Cat Tooth,
Silverside Perch,
Small Pearl,
Torchbug Thorax,
Wisp Wrappings
I finished the list and said, "Any combination of these should get you the same effects of the potion you are holding right now." He nodded and helped me get up, after I was able to walk on my own I walked through the hall towards the waiting room, which was brightly furnished with chairs that had flower design on them. As I walked into the room I was greeted with cheers from the five I called friends and a death glare from the one I didn't know, she was a bright blue, almost cyan with a rainbow colored mane and tail.
"That was awesome!" "You were amazing!" "Darling, that was absolutely dashing!" "Ohmygodohmygod youwereamazingoutthere!" "Thank you.". I walked up to the rainbow colored one, she stared at me distrustfully as I got pelted by her friend's compliments. I looked over at the other five and say "I think I need to talk to her alone." I said motioning towards the cyan mare. The all walked out looking glum, I sat down next to the mare. "Hey, what is your name?" She responded through clenched teeth and narrowed eyes, "You first." My mind was churning, what was her deal with me? "I am Jiques, now you?" She responded after a few moments of awkward silence, "Rainbow Dash, and what in the hay are you?" She seemed more curious than angry now.
I had gotten used to this kind of thing but it still aggravated me, "I'm an Argonian, a formidable mage," She seemed interested at this point, "I come from a family of nothing really special, but I am a dragonborn, a person who has the ability to steal the power and knowledge from dragons I kill, this in turn keeps them from coming back, if a dragon died by someone else it could come back." I finished, Rainbow Dash stilled looked like she didn't trust me, "How come we never heard of you before? And why are you wearing that black cloak and why are you heavily armed?" I chuckled remembering the same question Celestia asked me. "I came here by accident, I opened the Elder Scrolls too early and was sent here, I am wearing this outfit because I am a Nightingale, a person who came from the Dark Brotherhood (Don't ask) who is especially talented in the art of stealth; and this is not heavily armed," She looked at me shocked, "Yup, that confirms my point, Celestia had the same reaction to that, from my world if you took a stroll through the woods, you would probably get ambushed by giants, wolves, bandits or tigers, however giants are usually peaceful unless you walk on their ground and provoke them. In fact as I said earlier, you can walk through a town like this one, in full iron armor with a war axe and that could be counted as casual."
She looked utterly mortified, then she regained her composure and said, "Okay, not what I was expecting but we better get going, Pinkie is still planning that welcome to Ponyville party." As she said the last part she grinned but quickly hid it. I rose my eyebrow, "What was that?" She looked like she was hiding something, "I think its time we go." She said a bit quickly and trotted off to the other ponies waiting around the corner. I followed suit, just without the trotting.
I left the hospital after some small talk with the six ponies that I thought of as friends, we left the hospital and I noticed something off, "Hey, where is spike?" Twilight gave me a look of worry, "He didn't want to come, I don't think he likes you, you did just kill a dragon..." I gave a small "oh" and we walked onward. Ponies stared, a few gave me a smile or a wave, "I guess they really like me because I killed that dragon..." I whispered to myself, but unfortunately Applejack caught what I said, "What was that sugercube?" I looked over at the orange pony and answered, "Nothing" I turned around to see a few ponies giving me distrustful glares, I whispered the thu'um of seeing life forms, I saw quite a few in Twilight's house as we approached, so this is when the party was gonna happen? I tried to keep a passive expression, I examined the ponies surrounding me, they had a air of suspense and happiness.
When we reached the door, Twilight let me open the door, it was pitch black inside, when I took a step in and was about to turn on the light I could see the heartbeats speeding up, I flipped the switch and jumped as the assembled ponies, as well as Pinkie screamed "SURPRISE!!!!!" I gave a silly grin, there was a sign saying 'Welcome to Ponyville!' streamers fell, balloons floating lazily bye, confetti littered the ground, cake, punch and other treats were assembled on a table, I gasped in joy, they really did this for me? I echoed my thoughts, "You guys really did this for me?" I asked in awe, as I saw about 10 ponies I didn't know walk out from behind doorways and out from under the table, and one came down the stairs. I asked, "How did you guys get this all set up? In fact," I added a little suspiciously, "If I knew any better this might a trap to get me when I'm not paying any attention." I gave a suspicious look at the ponies, then laughed out loud at my own stupidity.
The rest joined me, I heard a faint grumbling coming from Twilight's room, my smiling face dampened as I remembered Spike. I asked again, "So, how did you get this all set up in a matter of hours?" Pinkie looked at me as if I had dunked my head in a toilet for no apparent reason at all, "Why, my party cannon of course!" She pulled a blue and pink cannon as if it came out of thin air. She aimed it at the ceiling and fired, which let lose a bundle of confetti, balloons and streamers. "Well, then how do you fill it up with all that stuff?" I asked interested, she replied, but not in the way I expected, "I just fill it with anything I don't need and fire, it always comes out as streamers and such." I just gazed at it with wide eyes, and shook my head, almost as if on cue she started shaking, then she knocked her knees. I looked at her in worry, "Pinkie you okay?" She just stared in blank space and said, "Oh no! One of my friends is jealous and angry at another one of my friends because of a amazing event." She looked worriedly at Twilight's room. My gaze lingered her for a second longer, then I turned towards Twilight, "What?" She just shook her head, "Pinkie has this thing she has called Pinkie Sense, she gets weird feelings that predict the future," I was about to ask her how that would even work when she added, "Don't even bother trying to figure it out, I couldn't so I doubt you could." She said the last part as she headed towards the stairs, "I'll be down soon, I think I know who Pinkie was talking about."
After some intense arguing heard upstairs, Twilight dragged a bipedal dragon behind her, who I could tell wasn't very happy to see me. She set Spike down, I looked down at him, he glared back, a idea hit me, I had that one book about a calm spell. I dug around in my backpack, finally finding the book I read it and memorized the spell, to see the book shrivel up in flames, I don't know why this happened but it does whenever I learn the a new spell. I noticed the ponies and the dragon looking at me oddly. I spoke up, "Sorry about that, it seems whenever I learn a new spell the book just burns up, but it only does so when I memorize it." Twilight shook her head, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy trotted off to enjoy the festivities.
I held a teal ball in my hand, the power of calm swept over me as I charged it in my palm. I let flow towards Spike who instantly went from angry to a peaceful state. He looked up at me anger no longer burning in his eyes, "How did you do that? You just made me realize, that I shouldn't be angry at you, you made me understand." I gave him a sad smile, which showed my fangs, which were larger then his, but still quite similar. Twilight looked at me, "How did you do that? I've never been able to calm Spike like that, even with magic." They both, assistant and librarian stared at each other. I chuckled and walked off, I went off to get some punch.
I was greeted by a few ponies, which were quite happy to thank me for slaying the dragon that threatened Ponyville, some time later Rainbow Dash came up to me, "Hey, Jiques I got this for you." She held out a cupcake, I took it and said, "Thanks." Feeling happy about the offer, I took a bite to hear a crunch in the cupcake, I looked into it as a slight burning filled my mouth to see Tabasco peppers filling the cupcake. I looked up from this poor prank to see Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie both looking disappointed. I held up the cupcake, "Seems your plan didn't work, you know, I eat habaneros for breakfast right?" They stared amused, this wasn't exactly true but I had eaten enough of those spicy bastards to know when I ate one and when I didn't. Fortunately these weren't.
Some time later the party ended and the mess was cleaned up by a team effort of Spike, Twilight and I. We said our good nights and they went to bed while I laid down in my makeshift bed on the library floor...
CRASH
I awoke with a start to see something I never would have though I'd see in this peaceful land, it was a Daedric Lord...
Chapter 5 - Daedric Prince
"Boethiah" I muttered under my breath, the daedric lord just looked confused, then her gaze focused on me, "Ah, Dragonborn," She said in a resonate tone, "I have been," She paused, "looking for you." She finished. I got up, "Boethiah, what do you want?" I hissed as I narrowed my eyes, she looked elegant, her cape flowing behind her, the moon sparkling off of her majestic armor. "Well, I would like to see if you really are powerful, in fact I've been wondering for awhile. I would like to see you fight in my arena" She paused and gave a sadistic grin, "Without your thu'um." The blood drained from my face, was Boethiah really doing this now?
She raised her left palm, a black orb swirled in her hand, I heard her say as I was teleported to her arena, "Well, this will be interesting."
*************************************
Twilight heard a crash, expecting to see Jiques, trying to steal her possessions or finally deciding to attack! With this thought in mind, she dashed out of her room to catch herself at the door step. Who is that and... her ears perked up "...looking for you." The creature shone in the moon's light like a beacon, Twilight only saw Jiques because his scales reflected the moonlight. She watched in horror as she (she thought it was a she) raised a hoof, (Or hand) and fired a purple, black portal with which consumed Jiques. The other creature went through a similar looking portal and they both were gone.
*************************************
My head thudded against the soft ground, I stood up a bit annoyed she didn't even think of anything else, the arena I stood in was circular, atleast 20 feet long, and 15 feet wide, maybe 8 feet tall walls with sinister spikes atop of these stone walls, my eyes looked up at a watch box, with only one person spectating Boethiah, she had the sword GoldBrand she spoke in a obviously magnified voice, "Jiques, Dragonborn, you shall fight 5 waves of enemies, without using your thu'um, you may use everything else you have at your disposal. " After she finished an unseen audience clapped, cheered or whistled."The first wave starts, NOW!"
A group of bandits and skeevers appeared, the bandits were dressed in full leather with varying sharp blades that I did not want to touch. They gave a battle cry, I just stood my ground building up a wall of ice, which killed two skeevers, only 2 more left. I felt an arrow pierce my armor and get me in my leg, I gave a snort of frustration, pulling out the steel arrow, I added it to my quiver, as they got closer I whipped out my blade slashing one of the bandits across the chest, he didn't catch flame as I expected he would, that's when I realized I never recharged my sword's enchantment, after this thought passed through my mind, I felt like a complete idiot. I dodged a war hammer, a skeever bit my leg, shaking off the little bugger I lopped off another bandit's head, I counted the bandits real quick, 2 down, 3 to go, not to mention the 2 skeevers still biting my ankles.
I jabbed my sword down killing one of the skeevers, I turned around and roasted the other one with flames, a arrow flew by my face, I whipped out my bow, firing a paralyzing arrow, then I added a potent poison. The arrow hit its mark paralyzing the bandit as he laid there as the rest of the battle went on. The poisoned arrow hit the bandit that got me in the ankle, killing him after a few seconds of him writhing in pain, foam in his mouth along with his own blood. The last guy was what I presume to be the leader, I leapt forward slashing with my sword, only to be shocked that he blocked it with his greatsword.
I jumped back as he slashed, at where my torso just was, I let loose a barrage of magical arrows which impaled him against the wall, they soon dissipated causing him to fall to the ground. I heard Boethiah's magnified voice shout, "You please me so far, young mortal. " She paused, "But there are still four more waves to go through! " I shook my head as I was teleported back to where I started. (Teleporting really does take the energy out of you) This time I was met with worse, as of course expected, five Orc thugs in full iron, and two flame thralls. An idea hit me, I whipped out my bow and started firing arrow after arrow at the flame thralls. One went down the other was still standing but got hit by atleast two arrows, the dead one exploded causing 3 Orcs to burst into flames and shrivel up into dried husks. I fired arrows, nearly getting burned alive by a near-by fireball.
As I finished off the thrall, it killed one Orc leaving behind one more which got a arrow to the forehead. Boethiah yelled again, "Marvelous! I thought the best warriors in Skyrim were the dumbest but it seems I've been proved wrong!" She laughed and sent in the next wave. This time there was a large Frostbite spider, along with 10 other smaller spiders, my skin crawled at the sight of the arachnids, but off to the left and right were.. vampires? Boethiah saw my hesitance, "Don't worry mortal these vampires wont infect you with their perilous disease." There were 3 on each side of the spiders, "This was getting ridiculous." I thought to myself.
I felt the vampires trying to draw my blood, I covered myself in a flame cloak, and shot fireballs into their direction, only four out of the six died from the fireballs, my flame cloak took care of the others, now I turned my attention to the spiders, I saw the big one hanging back while the small ones attacked first, a few were shriveled up at my feet, I looked up to see their were still 5 spiders excluding the large one still alive. I summoned a familiar, who took out two before dying in a flurry of mandibles and the spider's poison. I poisoned my sword with their own poison I collected from their dead bodies, I swung my sword down chopping one cleanly in half, I shocked the other two with lightning, I turned toward the big one, it stared me fury in its eyes. I used the spell I used on Spike to calm it, it seemed to calm for a moment, giving me the chance to plunge my sword through its eye and into its brain.
"Wow, I didn't think you had it in you for three rounds! Lets begin the fourth round!" She said rather gleefully, I looked up at the god who had a silly grin on her face, I hate it when gods look like that, it usually meant something bad, and I was right. What appeared was a giant and his mammoth, I stared for a minute before a plan came to mind, a very good plan, until Boethiah ruined it by saying, "I raised these poor idiots' IQ, now any devilish plans you might think of are useless." She giggled in glee, I chuckled, never thought I'd see a god like this before, anyways I considered many plans, before coming up with the one that should work. I ran forward, surprising the giant and sliced my sword through his crotch, effectively ruining any chance of reproduction, he fell over crying in pain and anguish. I kinda felt bad for the guy, he just had his dick lopped off, anyways the mammoth came running at me, but trampled his dear giant on the way, smashing into his balls. After seeing that, well I dont want to explain it right now. The mammoth charged I dove to the side causing the colossus to smash into the wall, using this as my time to strike I leapt a top, (more like climbed on top) of the mammoth and brought my sword down upon the mammoth's head, causing it to wobble and fall over as it died. I walked over to the giant, and stabbed him in the heart.
I felt drained from all this physical exertion but their was one more wave with which the Daedric Lord was really excited about for some reason, I closed my eyes taking a deep breath, I opened them, "Oh my, you're going to love this last wave, or should I say love this last wave to death?" I shook my head and what appeared took my breath away, a skeletal dragon, with 2 giants standing like honor guards. "Mortal, these giants I did not raise their intelligence level because I thought it an unfair final battle if you didn't have a chance to win." This of course gave me an idea, (I'm quite the strategist!) I ran and hopped onto the dragons skull, using the eye sockets as handholds, I taunted the giants, they both raised their club while the dragon tried to buck me off, I held on for the last second, and jumped causing the giants to kill the one thing that was supposed to make them win. I laughed as they tried to figure out why they smashed the skeleton again, when they both turned and stared at me. I gulped and I started to sweat, they got closer when an idea struck me, these low level idiots will have to fall for the spell, I placed a frenzy spell on the left giant, he really did go in a frenzy, smashing his surprised fellow giant and just trying to make a whole wreak of the place. I casted a fear spell causing the frenzied one to take one look at me and pass out, I walked over, and stabbed him through the heart.
"Well done mortal! Dragonborn, you deserve this." She teleported down and handed me GoldBrand. I slid the blade out of its sheath, admiring its beauty. She teleported me back, I smacked face first into the hard library floor and saw Twilight running towards me...
*************************************
Fear gripped Twilight, she had no idea what just happened between the two bi-pedal creatures and she wanted to find out, she let Spike sleep as she searched after a minute of searching she came up with nothing when a purple glow from the library caught her attention. She walked out their to see Jiques holding a blade made of pure gold, she trotted over to him, and nudged him he groaned and rolled over, "Jiques? Jiques can you hear me?" Twilight frantically said, Jiques responded by groaning and saying, "I'll tell you in the morning." He was asleep instantly, Twilight feeling a bit foolish went to her room and slept but not after placing protection spells around him and the house.
Darkness
I gasped, my eyes fluttered as I stared around in the sluggish blank, black landscape the surrounded me, my feet touched down on a invisible ground, a light shone in the distance, I walked towards it as it grew brighter. My feet stopped, I stared into the light to see it ripple and a old, wrinkled, decrepit woman come out from the bright orb. I stepped back in disgust and shock by the creature before me, she stared at me with black orbs that seemed to want to suck me in. She smiled causing her wrinkles to get wrinkles, but it wasn't a kind smile, it was a menacing smile. "Ahhh," She said in a rather leathery and raspy voice, "There you are, I have a message for you." She grinned, making me shiver. The world flashed around me and I felt pain, immense pain, it wasn't physical, it was coming from inside, I lay on the blackness, pain enveloping me.
The darkness flashed causing me to wince and shut my eyes, when I opened them I was on a field, a gold sword brandished in my hand, I felt the swoosh of an enormous beast behind me. I spun around to see the town I had barely begun to call home being burnt and smashed by a startling onyx colored dragon. I watched in horror as the very tree I slept in was in a blazing inferno, the SugarCube corner decimated, ponies ran and screamed everywhere as it began to rain rock and fire. The sky turned a blood red, I screamed and ran, not away as you might expect, but towards, I knew this dragon by heart, my skin was chilled by what I saw, this dragon was attacking something that never harmed it, he had a feud with me, this dragon's name was... "Alduin! " I screamed.
He turned his large head towards me and blew a spume of fire, after that I saw blackness, nothingness.
*************************************
Twilight jumped, she heard a screaming from downstairs, she dashed downstairs, spike following in toll. They reached Jiques to see him screaming and thrashing around, one word was clearly distinguished against the rest, "Alduin!" Twilight tried shaking him to see if she could wake him only to get smacked in the face. She was getting angry at this point and just decided to hold him up with magic after Spike suggested it. Spike went off to make breakfast because it was already practically morning, Twilight held him aloft while she ate, shortly after she held him up in the air, he stopped thrashing around, a unexpected voice made her jump, "You can put me down now."
*************************************
I softly gasped as my eyes fluttered open, my breathing became ragged, I remembered the dream about Vaermina quite vividly, Alduin attacking Ponyville and me, burning alive. If she sent me this dream, it wouldn't be wise to pass this off as a crazy nightmare, this had to be an omen. My hood fell over my head and I finally realized I was being held aloft by a purple bubble. Annoyed I said, "You can put me down now." She started and turned around to see me staring back with deep green eyes, cut through the center by a black vertical line. She gently lay me down, I put my legs under me and got up, I asked, "Why were you holding me up in your magic?" I tried to look calm but inside my thoughts were raging around like tempests.
She answered simply, "You were thrashing around and screaming, what were you dreaming about and, what happened last night? " That was the question I didn't want to ask her; Spike however jumped in to save me from answering by saying, "Yeah, you also smacked Twilight in the face." Twilight gave him a look and turned back to me. After a few moments she sighed, "Are you ever going to answer?" I hadn't realized that I was staring at her, I was lost in my own thoughts about what happened last night. "I never told you about gods in my world have I?" She just shook her head, "Well, each and everyone of them is real," At this she seemed shocked and was about to say something but I cut her off, "I was visited by two, one in my dreams the other is the one you saw that teleported me away." She nodded and I continued, "The first one, Boethiah, is a god of competition, assassinations, treason and secret plots, she wanted to see if I really was powerful enough to command the thu'um, she wanted me to fight five waves of enemies from my world, I proved to her by killing them all, and she offered me this beauty." I pulled out GoldBrand, "This is GoldBrand, a enchanted katana." She stared in awe at the beautiful yet deadly blade that beheld her. I snapped my fingers, she came back to reality, "Wow. " She cooed in amazement.
"Now its time to tell you about the dream." I was quite hesitant about this part of my story, "I was in a world of blackness, a speck of light appeared, I ran towards it, and what came out was a old woman, she said, 'Ahhh, there you are, I have a message for you.' I felt excruciating pain, my entire being compressed and stretched until I found myself on a field, in fact, the field over yonder." I pointed out at the grassland that was behind this very house, "I turned to look at Ponyville, GoldBrand in my hand, what I saw nearly made me pass out, it was Alduin," She looked at me confused, "Alduin is a dragon that was imprisoned in the Elder Scrolls, he escaped and began reviving dragons across the country, it was my duty to stop or kill Alduin," Spike had finally come over from cooking his gem encrusted pancakes and sat down at the table to also listen to my tale of the night before, "He was ravaging the town, setting everything ablaze, I screamed at him 'Alduin!' he had a fight to pick with me, not you peaceful ponies, he looked towards me with a lazy motion of his head and blew a spume of fire in my direction, that's when I woke up." I ended the tale and took a bite of a chaurus egg, Damn these things are good! I finished my egg and saw Twilight looking at me with a quizzical glance before returning to her oats.
"So, you're saying that Ponyville is going to be attacked by some dragon that you may or may not have brought here by your clumsiness?" Twilight asked staring down at her oats, "Yeah," Noticing the look Twilight had I quickly added, "But I can stop this dragon, I just need some help." I looked at Twilight hopefully, just hoping she would understand and that she would accept. Fortunately she did both, "Okay, I'll help you, but we do need the Princesses here." She nodded to Spike who ran off and was probably writing a letter to one of the Princesses. I was surprised, "I hadn't expected you to agree so whole-heartedly." She looked sadly at me, "I believe you, I trust you as a friend, you hadn't really lied to me, or done anything to harm us. Why should I not trust you?" Twilight finished, "Well, that escalated quickly." I thought to myself. Spike came back and handed the letter to Twilight who proof-read it and said, "Okay Spike you can send it."
************************************
Princess Celestia was busy reading a book about helping sociopaths come back to society, seemed good enough to use on Princess Luna, She thought to herself. Luna opened the door and walked into the bedroom that Celestia was in, it had gold poles in the four corners of the room, a window to let the sunrise in, a lush red carpet, and a large royal looking bed where Celestia lay. Luna put a scroll down onto the bed in front of Celestia with her magic and said, "Sister, Twilight says we need to hurry to Ponyville to hear about important news that cannot be heard from any other pony then us." Celestia sighed picked up the scroll and read it, she got up and stretched, they both lit their horns and teleported to Twilight's house.
************************************
Twilight had decided on getting the other ponies he had met, after the all gathered, they waited for the two Princesses to show. Rainbow Dash still gave me distrustful looks, Twilight looked around worriedly, Fluttershy shied away from me, Rarity was trying on trying on different dresses, Applejack watched Twilight pace looking worried herself, Pinkie Pie was hopping around energetically and the occasional puff of confetti would pop out of no where.
The two Princesses had decided on teleporting because one second they weren't there, the next they materialized out of nothing, Princess Luna gave me oblong looks, obviously trying to figure out if this was the important news or if it was something else. I bowed as did every other pony, Twilight looked relieved that they were finally here and began to spout out words almost as fast as Pinkie, scratch that, nothing could copy Pinkie. Celestia raised a hoof and instantly she stopped, she turned and looked at me, "Jiques, I do believe you could tell us." And so I told her everything I said to Twilight, I was bashful at first, then I became more confident over time.
All of the ponies, even Pinkie Pie weren't expecting that last line. Rainbow Dash suddenly spoke up, "And how do we know you're not lying?" She said that rather smugly, I couldn't help but feel anger build but I quickly pushed it down, as I been taught the ways of Mara, it's not good to become angry over every little thing. I answered coolly, "Please tell me why you wouldn't believe this being said from someone, or somepony, that has never lied to you before?" She answered immediately, "Because I barely know you, you're not a pony and I have no reason to trust you." I just kept my cool, "Twilight trusts me, Celestia has some trust in me, otherwise I wouldn't be alive right now, in fact some ponies out in town know of my existence because of my brave regime," I put on a dramatic tone, "I single handedly slayed a dragon, riding it till I got a lucky strike at its eye causing it to tumble towards the ground at a last attempt to kill me but only snapping its neck and acting as a cushion for our hero, the walking lizard!" I finished staring at Rainbow Dash who seemed to be furious at being told off by a different species.
Applejack stepped in before this could get any worse and said, "Okay y'all that was fine and dandy but righ' 'bout I reckon we need to get workin' on somethin' 'bout this Omen." I backed down much to the contempt of Rainbow, the room became uncomfortably silent, Celestia spoke up shattering the unnerving silence, "I do believe we need to get working on this Omen, and I'll be trying to figure out where this dragon may be, I will also be sending out Pegasi scouts to pinpoint his location." Luna added, "Thoust watch the skies, and never let your guard down." With that they disappeared in a flash of light.
I looked back over at the assembled ponies, one by one they filed out, Twilight of course stayed. I looked around the library, wondering out loud, "Now, we need to fireproof this place..."
I awoke to the sun's gentle rays, as I had a few times before. My eyes wandered around the room, I didn't want to leave the warm blankets I was enveloped in, but forced myself out of the ungainly pile of cloth. I slipped on my pack, sword and bow, I found the Alchemy table where I left it in the kitchen. I pulled out the ingredients that were remaining within the bag. All I had left were some purple mountain flowers, salt and a bee. Not much I could do with this, so I put them together to find a weird mix of stamina and health. I of course discarded this, trying to mix two potion abilities usually caused the consumer to die after a few minutes of consumption.
I heard Twilight's hoof falls as she trotted down the stairs into the kitchen, I said good morning, she responded with a nod. I found some wheat in the pantry, I asked Twilight, "Hey, do you have any Imp Stool?" She was busy making breakfast because she didn't have anything to do today, and Spike was asleep. "Um, there should be some over by the river in the Everfree forest, but I would rather head on over to Zecora, she has ton of the things." Twilight yawned and carried her breakfast over to the table which consisted of, cereal, and some orange juice. I pulled out a goat cheese wedge, and chewed happily. "Well, see ya later then." and with that I left the house.
Ponies didn't give me anymore distrustful glares but still kept their distance. I looked overhead to see Odahviing circling the town, his red scales glimmered in the young morning sky. I kept on walking toward the distant and dangerous looking forest, soon I left the hard gravel behind to grass. The trees seemed to beckon to me, wanting me to crawl in and get mauled by some beast of the wild. I followed the dirt path that cut through the jungle like a scar, plants surrounded me, their green foliage blocking light and whatever may be lurking in the darkness. I walked for what seemed like hours, but what really may have been 15 minutes, soon I found myself at a river. I searched the banks looking for some sort of mushroom, my eyes caught sight of a yellow plump cylinder, only problem, it was on the other bank.
I readied my voice and spoke in a commanding tone, "WULD, NAH KEST!" I felt my body get propelled by some unknown force, I landed on the opposite bank, to any onlooker it would look I teleported. I picked a large batch of the mushrooms that had a sickly yellow aura around them. My shouting evidently angered some beast, as I heard a audible roar come from somewhere on the bank where I used to stand. A large cat creature with bat wings and a barbed scorpion tail came out of the trees, obviously trying to find where the source of the sound came from. It slowly looked around, it's eyes slowly resting on me, it roared again, not unlike a sabre cat. It charged through the water, I stood my ground as I gritted my teeth and narrowed my eyes. A second before impact I quickly shouted, "FEIM ZII GRON!" My body including armor and bag, became a blue silhouette of what used to be. My ethereal form passed through the cat harmlessly, I ran through the water, not needing to worry about the current as it passed right through me but, I didn't wanna get caught in the water if the shout wore off too soon.
I reached the other side to see the giant cat, turn around and ran at me again, unfortunately I couldn't use my thu'um because my life essence needed a moment to recharge. I whipped out my bow with a creepy and deadly practice as I notched a arrow I fired, it only hit the cat's left foreleg causing it to get even angrier. I turned around and ran, I sheathed my bow and remembered the spell I used with the dragon, I cast ironskin on myself and torn around with my sword already out. The cat barely had time to react as I dove to the right and slashed its torso. It landed on its paws and growled at me, it hissed and spat with its ears laid back. My thu'um was finally recharged, the split second I felt my power return I screamed, "MUL QAH!" My arms and shoulders became encased in a other worldly glow, as I felt unnatural strength enter my limbs, I gave a battle cry and charged, if the beast wasn't already startled by my appearance, it definitely was put in a trance by my battle prowess.
I ran the fire imbued sword through its chest as it had shock, fear, anger and calmness in it's eyes. It's body shook twice before falling over, I gasped, now I know why ponies dont venture into here. I looked over myself, only a few scratches, but I couldn't really tell, because the magical armor was shining a bit too bright. I finally looked around me to see I was in a clearing, away from the river, in fact, as much as I hated to admit it, I was lost...
__________________________________________________________________________________
I had been wandering for a few hours, trying to get my bearings or any trail to Ponyville at all, but only to come up with my trees, branches, and other foliage. I even tried Aura Whisper again, but to only come up with squirrels and birds. After a while of traveling I came upon a large stone structure covered in moss, lichens and other planty things. I had wandered around inside, finding nothing I had left the place. I kept on traveling hoping to find a town of some sort, but I found something else instead. A door with a skull covered in blood, it was made of iron, I knocked out of pure spite. I heard a deep booming voice, "What is the music of life?" My head perked up, I heard this before. It was from... from... from the Dark Brotherhood! I answered with a hapless grin on my face. "Silence, my brother." I heard a click and the voice was heard once more, "Welcome brother."
I opened the door to find a staircase, I felt a major sense of deja vu, the stairs turned right, and I emerged into a cave not unlike the one from Skyrim, in fact, when I was outside I even saw a dark pool of water. Could this be? I looked around no one, or nopony were around. I heard a blade slide from its sheath and I instantly said, "Wait, brother or sister, I wish for peace." I heard a hesitant breath behind me, I turned around to see another Argonian, he looked familiar, he had a knife poised above my head, I felt recognition building in me, I narrowed my eyes and said, "Narsis?" He looked at me confused, before he recognized me, with a grin he hugged me and said, "Jiques! It's been too long!" He didn't have feathers like I did, just a few horns that sprouted out, like poles on a fishing dock, I returned the hug. He pulled away and sheathed his daedric knife.
I grinned and said, "Wow, can't believe you're here, and our first encounter is you nearly killing me, glad to see that we are in the same situation as before." We both laughed at this, his expression went solemn after this point, "Jiques, I have no idea where we are, I felt a voice calling me from our mother, he pointed up at the room that held the woman in the coffin. I felt like I was in a dream, I walked into the coffin with and felt the mother embrace me. She whispered something to me I don't remember, but when I came out I was here." He finished as I looked around, and said, "Where is everyone else? Like Astrid, and the others." He just shook his head, "I dont know." We walked out of the cave, as we exited we were greeted by the sun. We talked about how we got here, how I got here, (to the hideout of course,) the pony Twilight Sparkle, Equestria, the rulers, and the residents.
We walked for awhile before we stumbled upon a familiar dirt path, I looked off in one direction, Narsis in the other. I could see a silhouette of a town off in the distance, I motioned for Narsis and said, "We go this way."
*******************************************
Twilight was having trouble concentrating, she was supposed to be turning a apple into an orange, but she couldn't help think about Jiques, he was gone for quite awhile. She truly did hope he was okay, of course she wouldn't say this to his face, but she did miss his presence. She had also been doing other things, like getting him a real bed, and some other ingredients for potion making, she even went as far as to try and find a weapon enchanter, it enchanted both armor and weapons, but the person, had to have some ability in this class, know the enchantment, and have a soul gem, with a soul trapped within to power the enchantment. Now you might be thinking where did she even find this stuff? Some pony wearing a black cloak in an alleyway...
*******************************************
The town was now fully in sight, Narsis gave a sigh of relief, but he jumped when he saw Dovahviing alight in front of us. He spoke in his deep, commanding, yet gentle gravely tone. "Dragonborn, I couldn't detect your presence for a long while, it worried me quite so." I rubbed his head, he purred and I said, "Its okay, Dovahviing, I was just out gathering some stuff and got lost." The dragon accepted this and took off, Narsis looked at me in disbelief, "You tamed a dragon?" He looked incredulous, and shook his head as his jaw hang open. I just chuckled and walked into the town, a few ponies were surprised to see another of my kind, in a red outfit instead of my black one. Before Narsis could even comment on the residents, a pink blur came out of no where, and I inwardly groaned as she started shouting about a party...
Narsis followed me inside Twilight's house, he looked a bit impressed that someone had even managed to carve out a tree, while keeping it alive. When we walked in, we were greeted by a worried, and a confused Twilight, confused because of the other Argonian, worried because of how long I was gone. Twilight's first question was, "Who's that?" Narsis answered, he didn't appear to fazed about a talking pony, "I am Narsis, I thank you for the hospitality, me and Jiques have been friends since childhood, in fact, when we first met, it was about who was going to pickpocket a old lady, turns out she had a knife though." He said and chuckled, I gave a short chuckle as well remembering how Narsis got a cut on the arm from her wildly swinging arms.
Twilight looked at us both before saying, "Why would you pickpocket a harmless old lady?" I answered this one, "I think it her name was Grelad or something, she ran the orphanage and treated all the orphans like shit. Me, Narsis and a Khajiit, were the only children that had parents in Riften at the time. I think the Khajiit's name was J'zargo," I shrugged, "I dont remember." While I said this, Narsis was nodding, or just looking in awe at the building. I coughed and said again to get Narsis's attention, "So, how good are you at magic?" He grinned and summoned a lightning thrall, I yawned, "Really? Can you do an undead thrall?" I smashed a fly that was being quite annoying, and used undead thrall on it. An otherworldly glow came from the fly as it became undead, it would stay this way until I dismissed it, or it died.
He snorted and said, "What level?" I grinned and said, "Forever." His jaw dropped. Twilight just watched in a sort of interest, as the undead fly, flew past Twilight's head. Narsis looked jealous, "Can you paralyze yet?" I demonstrated by doing so, when it wore off he didn't look to happy. Twilight finally spoke up, "Okay, guys, I really do want to know how you two met up, and how you got here." At this last part she pointed at Narsis. I went into a lengthy description of what happened, how I found Narsis, he explained how he got here, and the journey back, even the party that Pinkie was planning. Twilight was sitting calmly through all this, sometimes she would change position, or grimace, but that was all the reaction we got out of Twilight.
Twilight spoke up when we finished, "Well, looks like we have a party to attend." She looked up to her room and called, "Spike! SPIKE!" A quite unhappy voice could be heard from upstairs. Spike walked down the steps, and jumped when he saw another Argonian. "Their are two of you?" He asked a bit confused, I laughed at the baby dragon. "No, this is my friend Narsis, we met in the Everfree when I got lost after a fight with a manticore." While I said this he swayed a bit, like he was very tired. He yawned and said, "I'm not surprised you lost a battle with a manticore." I facepalmed, and corrected him, "No, I won the battle, I got lost in the Everfree." While he was walking into the kitchen he said over his shoulder, "Well, why didn't ya say so?" We all three laughed, and a very tired and confused Spike was walking into the kitchen.
Twilight walked into the kitchen following Spike, I sat on the couch with Narsis, waiting for Twilight to get back. I looked over at the time, it was said the party was going to be at 8:00 PM, and the time was 7:36 PM. I looked over at Narsis, "Well, it's about 20 minutes till the party, wanna get there early?" He just nodded. We both got up and I shouted, not the thu'um, just a regular old shout, "Me and Narsis are going to the party, it's gonna be at Sugarcube corner, at 8:00, don't be late!" We walked out the door together, shortly after Twilight followed, with a dragon on her back. We walked for a bit, but the sky started turning dark, I looked overhead to see grey clouds floating over the town. I was not gonna let a storm ruin this party, I shouted "LOK VAH KOOR!" As I said this the storm instantly dissipated. We walked onward, finally reaching the Sugarcube corner at exactly, 7:59. We waited until the sundial said 8:00, we opened the doors to see the lights off. I flicked them off and was greeted by a surprising, "SURPRISE!" Narsis, who has never had a surprise party before nearly ran his knife through Pinkie, but with my expecting this, I had already begun saying, "ZUN HAAL VIIK!" This caused his blade to fly from his hand and imbed itself in the wall. He grinned sheepishly, and looked like he wanted to melt into the ground.
After the initial shock, Narsis went to go retrieve his knife, but I had already grasped it in my telekinetic powers, I pulled it over and held on to it saying, "Narsis, I think it would be better if I held onto this." He nodded a bit solemnly, I put the knife in my pack. We walked over to a table, the decorations were quite flashy, all the confetti, and streamers not to forget the balloons all gave it a party feeling. We all got some cake, which had a pink frosting, chocolate fudge in the center, sandwiched by two pieces of vanilla cake. The cake tasted like I died went to heaven, and came back down just to get some more. Narsis's eyes dilated, he looked down at the cake and began to devour it whole-heartedly. Much to the amusement of the surrounding ponies and me.
After a few slices of cake, we went off to play some games, we played pin the tail on the pony, for which Narsis was pro at, there was twister, at first we didn't understand how to play, but we caught on quickly. It seemed ponies had a hard time at this game, while Narsis and I were winning just about every round, in fact it had to be a tie between the two of us because, we both fell at the same time. Well, now that I think about it, why would ponies even have trouble playing this game? Nevermind.
A hour of partying later, some ponies had left, but still enough to call it a party. Narsis was drunk off his ass, as were a few other ponies, I just took a few sips from my cider before getting a glass of water instead. It was never a good idea to get drunk while you had a great magical potency. Trust me bad things happen, I cringed at the thought that passed through my mind, I was drunk with a daedric prince, who was disguised as a commoner, I nearly burnt my dick off. Trust me, it's not a fun experience. Anyways, after all the ponies cleared away except for Twilight and her friends. Rainbow Dash, came over to meet Narsis, she floated a few feet off of the ground as she greeted us. Narsis whispered to me, "This world is just full of surprises isn't it?" I laughed much to the confusion of the remaining ponies, "The two rules are sisters and they raise the sun and moon." He looked at me like I was lying, "You have got to be lying? How is that even possible?" I shook my head and chuckled some more, "I have no idea, wait till you hear about a chicken and snake hybrid, if you stare into it's eyes you turn into stone. Apparently they eat stoned creatures." I laughed along with Narsis at my own joke.
Pinkie Pie came over and asked, "Well, did you like the party? Was it fun? Did you get to meet ponies?" She asked all three questions within three seconds, in fact I have no idea why I put that comma. Narsis spoke up, "Yes, Yes, Yes, all going in respective order." Pinkie looked like she about to burst with glee when Narsis gave a toothy grin. But before she could, Twilight said, "Well, time to clean this up." Pinkie jumped into the air and said, "No need! I'll get it cleaned up in 10 seconds!" and with that she got it all cleaned up in 10 seconds. I watched dumbstruck at how fast she cleaned up a party that would usually have taken at least an hour to clean. I thanked her along with Narsis, I handed Narsis his knife back and we walked out saying our goodbyes as we all went our separate ways, Twilight of course following us, with a purple sleeping dragon on her back. I heard a dog bark, I looked to my right to see Barbas, "Wait a minute, Twilight, Narsis wait here I'll be back in a minute." I ran over to Barbas who was scratching his head. "Barbas, what are you doing here?" He looked at me and said, "I could ask the same of you Dragonborn, but I need some help." I nodded and he continued, "Clavicus has proposed a trade to some pony, that if they kill me with a magical war axe, they can keep it! Now I'm being chased down by a unicorn!" I looked behind him to see a deranged looking grey unicorn, with a frizzed and leaf filled mane. In his magic, he was holding the 'Rueful Axe' I shouted at him, "Hey! If you're going to kill Barbas, you have to go through me first!" He gave me a wicked grin, I knew what that thing could do. He charged at me, and I shouted, "GAAN LAH HAAS!" He instantly looked tired, like he fought through waves of enemies. I took my bow out, with exact precision I fired an arrow, it hit him in the leg, he kept on charging and I fired again this time I hit him in the knee, he fell forward, and I took this as my chance, I whipped out my sword, and plunged it deep into his chest, lifting him off the ground for a second before his weight became to much and I let my sword drop to my side, his body sliding off the blade with a creepy satisfaction. I picked up the axe and threw it as far as I could into the forest.
As I picked it up I heard Clavicus Vile scream at me, "WHY DID YOU KILL HIM? HE WAS SUPPOSED TO KILL THAT UNGRATEFUL MUTT! YOU BI--" I threw the axe, it landed somewhere in the foliage, I set a rune on it, so if anyone found it, they would explode in fire and electricity. Barbas spoke up as I walked away, "Thanks so much Dragonborn!" I didn't look back, I felt sick at what I did. I killed a innocent, even if he was just being controlled, or lied to be a god, it was still wrong. I walked on over to where Narsis, and Twilight waited, fortunately they didn't see what happened. I walked on in silence, as we reached the door Twilight finally said, "Jiques, what's bothering you?" I looked over at her and said, "Nothing." We walked inside, Twilight directed me to my new bed, Narsis had to sleep on the floor, in my old bed. I thanked her, and tried to sleep, but I couldn't get my mind off of what I did, when sleep finally did come, it was a dreamless sleep...
Chapter 10 - The Ice Dragon
Narsis and I bolted of the kitchen to hear screaming villagers and something dark passing over the curtains of the giant tree. I leapt out of bed, he followed suit, we were soon met by a very confused Twilight. I felt rather then heard, the mini earthquake that always accompanied a landing dragon. I felt a sense of deja vu, then I remembered the previous dragon. This was exactly how I met the first one that tried to destroy Ponyville. 'Why couldn't they just leave this settlement alone?' I thought to myself.
Narsis beat me to the door and pulled it open, only to be greeted by an annoyed ice-y blue dragon, his back held black dorsal spines that quivered every time a pony gave a scream of terror. I brushed past a dumbstruck Narsis, I halted in front of the dragon, and said, "Dovah! State your business here!" I narrowed my eyes, the dragon stared me, intelligence beyond it's years sparkled in those teal eyes. It spoke in a shrill yet deep voice unlike most dragons, "Dovahkiin, I do not bring harm to these peaceful folk or of thy, but I wish to seek allegiance with the dragonborn, it has come to my understanding that you will wipe out the existence of dragons, I have realized I do not wish for such a fate." This sounded a bit too good to be true, I tested this theory by saying, "Well, why would you come out of the blue now? Why not earlier? Also how did you even find me, I honestly thought I wasn't in Skyrim anymore." The dragon grunted, "Dovahkiin, I used to think we would over power and conquer once more, but I have been proven wrong. You are on the border Skyrim, more on the outskirts between there and here. All dragons have a sixth sense, we can sense a dragonborn within a 13 mile, 14 meters, 2 feet, 9 inch, 5 centimeter radius of our body." I was a bit surprised about the sixth sense and where I was, as the dragon said this Odahviing came flying over, his right wing was torn and blood flew freely from slashes along his muzzle and body.
Odahviing thumped to the ground instead of a graceful landing as before. As he landed I had noticed that the ice dragon had long gashes along its side that were previously hidden by its wings. When the ice dragon spotted Odahviing next to him he growled and was about to leap on the blood red, but I had just managed to hold him back with telekinesis, he growled and snapped at Odahviing who oddly flinched back. I felt my energy depleting swiftly, I dropped the magical grip and screamed at the aquamarine reptile, "What did you do to Odahviing?!?!" He looked over at me with a look of shock upon his muzzle, he was about to respond when Odaviing spoke with venom laced in his voice, "I am sorry Dovahkiin. I have failed you, this mere frost dragon has bested me. I cannot do as you so wish." While he said this I drank a magicka potion and healed Odahviing, I glared at the frost dragon and finally asked, "What is your name Dovah?" I said in a rather resounding tone, all the while Narsis, Twilight and a group of ponies came over to watch. A few had awe on their face, others shock and fear, while some just pure bewilderment. He spoke rather thoughtfully, like his name carried great meaning, "Diinslenul" I thought for a moment, that translated to Freeze, Flesh, Eternity. "A fitting name for a frost dragon is it not?" Diinslenul spoke out rather happily, I didn't heal his wounds partially because they weren't big, and because I wasn't feeling to keen with him yet.
"Odahviing, you did not fail me, but I would advise you to be more on the lookout next time? Also Diinslenul, I need you to do something before I can trust you, I hope you do not fail me on this mission, but I need to know where Alduin is, and what he is planning. Can you do this?" I asked rather hopefully, but not so much as to sound desperate, he nodded and before he could take off I asked him, "By the way, I never asked are you male or female?" Diinslenul grinned, but it wasn't a happy grin, more like 'I got a prey cornered' kind of grin. "Why thank you for asking, I'd be the latter." With that she flew off, leaving behind a crowd of ponies, Odahviing who looked rather bashful, Twilight, Narsis and I. The crowd soon dwindled only leaving a few by standers, (deja vu overload!) Twilight spoke up, causing Narsis to jump, "Well, to be honest, I dont know what to make of that." She looked over at me, "Jiques you really do attract the worst attention don't you?" I flashed her my trademark grin and said, "Nothing I can't handle." She rolled her eyes and replied, "It is still annoying, how would you like it if an alien popped up in your house with crazy dragons and other dangers popping up along with it." I was really surprised at her response, either ponies are used to strange every day occurrences or they were really good at pretending nothing happened.
I assumed both, Odaviing took to the skies once more, giving his fear inducing roar causing a few ponies to cower. I looked off into the distance where Diinslenul had flown, it looked like a direct path away from the mountain that holds Canterlot, I felt a swoosh of air, and saw a bright lemon colored flash along with a dark indigo blue. A second later the two Princesses stood there in all their glory in the cadmium yellow light. I bowed along with Narsis, Twilight and Spike who had recently come outside to investigate the noise. The Princess of the Night giggled, "You may rise, we have no need for formalities." Princess Celestia smiled at us all but frowned at me, "Jiques, I would like to know why my sentries have spotted another dragon, that had previously landed here and then flew away from here." I chuckled, "That was Diinslenul, she is a frost dragon, apparently she had decided to go against his dragon overlord Alduin and fight with me, she has realized I would eventually kill all or most..." My voice dropped out at the end, Spike had been listening the whole time, would he understand what I meant? How could I discriminate Skyrim's dragons from Equestria's? To them it might seem I was hellbent on eradicating an entire species. My eyes dilated as I realized what I thought.
"Erm... well this is a bit awkward, how should I put this?" I thought for a moment, "Okay, Skyrim's dragons are returning and are planning on enslaving all sentient life on the planet, their leader Alduin being the prime motivator. Me being a Dragonborn is my job to stop this, you all got this?" They nodded and I continued, "Now I realize you have your own dragons, while it is not my plan to kill them, I would like to say, if they stand in my way I will kill them. Spike before you say anything I just wanted to say, I wont kill any Bi-pedlar dragons unless absolutely necessary and if what Diinslenul says is true then I am not to far from Skyrim." I finished with that Spike was of course the first to speak up, "I don't like you killing any dragons, but I understand, atleast the part about enslaving every sentient being. But I don't know how I'll feel about you killing another of my kind." With that he nervously shuffled back, Celestia was next, "Jiques, I truly never liked hurting anything, but killing is a whole new matter, if it is necessary then I wont hold it against you. Perhaps you can even try and make friends with them?"
Narsis finally spoke after being quiet just about the entire time, he took a moment to get his voice, "I.. I.. Dragonborn, Jiques, please promise me man, you'll be cautious when fighting a dragon." He looked just about ready to collapse, I knew the guy was prone to bad memories with dragons, but I thought he could tough it out. He looked shaken pretty bad, his jugular vein was making it's pulse more obvious every minute, whenever the guy was scared or traumatized his jugular vein always tried to pop out more. I heard small hoof falls and turned to see a sepia colored stallion charge at me, it was then I noticed the sky, the sun was on the horizon and the moon could see peeking over the hills. I saw his hoofs had cloths covering them making his hoofsteps barely audible but with my fine tuned hearing I got it like a person trying to sneak up on a mouse.
I got a good look before he jumped at me, a knife in his soylent red magic. He tried to bring it down only to find his knife gone by my disarm shout, "ZUN" I did a simple disarm and it worked like a charm sending his weapon flying, he tried to buck me only to find I was in front of him, I shouted into his ear, "GOL HA DOV!" His eyes gave a far away look and his mouth gaped a bit. I smirked, if it hadn't been for me being trained against assassins such as these I would never have seen the light of day again. All the gathered ponies, Narsis included watched in awe and shock as I disarmed him and bended his will. I asked, "Who sent you?" His jaw worked frantically before he spat out a sentence, "No one." I frowned, he couldn't lie, so I asked a different question, "Why did you try and kill me?" He looked scared as he was force to answer, "You killed my brother Told Truth." I grimaced at the memory. I answered simply, "He tried to kill Barbas, I couldn't allow that." I looked up at the sky to see the moon had finally risen, "Go home, you are no longer in my control." With that he nodded, shaking his head, he went home.
I looked up to the sky to see a shooting star, I wished Diinslenul's mission would be successful...
******************************
'Alduin can go to Svongarde for all I care!' I thought angrily, I had recently flown off from the Dovahkiin's abode to complete his request, hell he even thought I was a male! I pumped my wings and gave a shrill cry out of pure spite. I loved the feel of the wind in my muzzle, how it washed over me felt incredible, with renewed vigor my wings flapped even harder. I rose to an altitude that made it nigh impossible to breathe. I tucked in my reptilian body and shot towards the unforgiving bone-break-earth. I leveled out mere meters before hitting the ground traveling at speeds that should have been impossible for such a large creature. With this new found speed I slowly rose up to avoid hitting trees.
All anger forgotten as I sped toward the beacon that I recognized as Alduin, this was a dangerous mission after all. My muzzle gaped open as I swallowed a flock of pigeons that were lifting off from a nearby Pine tree. One of them got caught in a nook between my teeth and I munched on it happily enjoying the taste of chicken that pervaded my senses. I looked up into the sky to see it had very nearly turned night. I landed in a small clearing, oblivious to the locals in the surrounding area. I coiled my body not unlike a serpent and slept soundly, giving the occasional snore.
*******************************
I snuck out of the large tree walking on tip toe to avoid waking up Jiques or Twilight. When I reached the front door I realized it was locked, I picked the lock, being careful not to break the lock or the pick. My hands worked in a flurry of motion, unlocking the door in one go. I took a tentative into the cool night air, no one seemed to be about. I closed the door gently, and walked off into the ultramarine violet colored darkness. My body blended into the dark like I was a spectral being, I looked overhead to see a cluster of stars, and a alabaster moon. The moon I stared at looked a lot like my world's moon Secunda, I felt home sickness build in me, I looked around the night for a possible red moon, Masser.
I felt a tear roll down my cheek, why did I have to come here? What is the purpose? I may never return to Skyrim, atleast I have Jiques, but I may never see my dear Shahvee again. Soon the tears started flowing freely, I couldn't contain them any longer a weight began to make itself present as memories of a happy life with my wife began flooding me as I realized I may never see her again...
******************************
I watched as Narsis left the building, I turned around and stared out my window, at first my eyes couldn't detect him but then I saw a glimmer of movement in the corner of my eye. I could see Narsis looking up into the sky, his eyes brimming with tears. My eyes widened as I saw him crying for the first time since I ever met him, he always had a strong demeanor, never seemed to falter (except when around dragons) and would always be there for a friend...
******************************
My eyes flashed open, the alarm had sounded a mental trigger in my mind instantly waking me. But instead of going in the presence was going out. My magic had said that Jiques was still in his room, but Narsis wasn't in the Library, which only meant one thing. I quickly got out of bed careful not to wake Spike, I trotted down the stairs and detected Narsis, he was out in the field near my house, but, he was crying? His aura started coming closer to the house and I silently trotted back into bed...
********************************
I yawned scaring the local birds, my eyes lazily drifted around taking in my surroundings, I got up and stretched not unlike a cat which caused me to yawn again. I flapped my wings a bit trying to get blood into them, my feet stamped in their regular morning routine, I looked up into the sky to see I woke up right when I wanted to, just at the crack of dawn. A thought pervaded my mind and I quickly brushed it away but it came back in full force causing me laugh scaring the birds away again. I chuckled, "The buttcrack of dawn." I pumped my wings gaining altitude, I tilted my body forward causing me to fly forward instead of just hovering.
I flapped my wings until I was going at a steady velocity and began taking note of the direction I was traveling in, I was going at what I thought was East if the city-in-the-mountain was North. Wishing to speed up the journey I traveled higher than I ever did before, straining my lungs and causing me great pain in my chest but it payed off as I traveled possibly faster than any other dragon in existence. I tucked in my wings and flew over the landscape like a torpedo, rippling trees in what resembled waves. I gave a cry of joy as wind whistled in my ears, the ground rushing by, DAMN it felt good to be a dragon!
I looked down to see a group of traveling ponies, it only lasted a second though as I blasted past. I let me wings came out and started flapping causing me to speed up. I felt a pressure building in on my ears, a loud pop could be heard as I broke the sound barrier for the first time in my life. What I was not expecting was the great flash of electric turquoise light that flashed behind me. I gasped in shock at what I had accomplished what most dragons would wish they could do, I broke the sound barrier! I gave a cry louder than the rest only to have my voice stripped away.
I grinned and sped onward toward my destination, Alduin...
*********************************
I awoke to a very quiet morning, Narsis eyes had a purple tinge to them that represented he really was crying last night and it wasn't some awkward dream. I gave him a reassuring grin, he only thing he did was look down at the bowl of oats he was munching on. Twilight was sitting at the table, Spike with them both, we all said our greetings except for Narsis who kept on gazing into his half eaten bowl of food.
I pulled out a cooked piece of cold chicken, I chewed on it thoughtfully while Twilight gave me very disapproving stares, Spike however didn't seem to mind, he was after all a dragon. I took a look at the alchemy table before deciding against making a truth potion, if Narsis wanted to tell me something he would already done it. "Well, I'ma go for a walk, see you guys later." and with that I walked out the door. My destination the Everfree forest, two reasons why, one is because nopony goes there, and two, because I really needed time to think.
My footsteps crunched on the frozen ground, I had barely noticed the change in climate as it was beginning to turn from Summer to Fall, I really needed to ask what they called the seasons. I kept on walking until my form was hidden by the holly green foliage. I kicked a pebble as I walked down the dirt path that led into the deadly forest. My feet seemed to have a mind of their own as I was dragged further and further into the imposing forest, but that didn't worry me any. My mind thought about Skyrim, they soon turned to the Nightingales and Karliah, I remember when Brynjolf and I agreed to become Nightingales to kill Mercer Frey.
I chuckled at the bittersweet memory. I kept on walking despite the cold. My legs soon stopped and I my eyes tore away from the ground, I felt a disturbance in the ground, like something powerful was nearby. My eyes searched frantically trying to find it, I soon found a tree from which a blue hue was shown from it. I read the word 'Diiv' I thought for a second, that meant wyrm? Until it hit me, 'Mul, Qah, Diiv!' the Dragon Aspect shout! I finally have all the words of power! I used the remaining knowledge from the dragon I slain a few days ago to understand the meaning of the word.
I felt power course through me as I learned the very power of this word. I took a light jog back to the house to find Twilight and Narsis to tell them the great news! But then a thought hit me, who would know how to read, better yet write in dragon?
**************************************
I kept on flying at the same sound breaking flight, after an hour I began to grow tired, I traveled so far! and so fast! I slowed down to a stop, and hovered fatigue burning in my wings, I looked around to see the otherland's plants mixed with Skyrim's. I alighted on top of a few trees and thought of something as a cloud passed by, I spread my wings and flew up, I landed on top of the cloud and gave my trademark cry. It actually worked! In Skyrim you couldn't rest on clouds, apparently in this world you could! I lay down upon the soft surface, it felt like silk, kind of damp but humid which felt amazing against my tired wings. Very soon I found myself in a deep slumber...
Chapter 12 - The Mission Continues
***********************************
I examined the tree closer, something wasn't right, it looked to be carved with a claw. I looked at the surrounding trees for any clues only to come up empty-handed, I sighed and began my jog back only to be stopped by a growl emanating from the undergrowth. I spun on my heel and took out GoldBrand, it's gold color flashed in the dim sunlight, I stole a quick glance up to see Pegasi pushing dark thunderstorm clouds out of the town. I looked back down and around, nothing could be seen within the luscious plant life, but my trained eye caught something any normal Nord or Pony would've missed.
The green glow of a Timber wolf eye seemed to pierce into my soul, I dug my feet into the ground, relaxing my knees as to jump either way if it need be. In my left hand I summoned forth lightning, it cackled within the restraint of my hand. I built up the charge for as long as I could, when the spell reached it's full potential, the wolf jumped out at me soon followed by three others. I release the pent up energy causing the wolf to shatter to pieces. I spun on my heel slashing down upon the wolf that tried to sneak up on me. I pulled my blade out and turned to face the remaining three. They circled me and an idea formed in my mind, I sheathed my blade and in my hands I held flames, I did a slow intricate dance and held my hands up as the flames burned the cool air around me. My hands raised skyward, then I plunged them down causing a large meteor of heat surround my body, hurting only the timberwolves.
I was awash with flames which drained my energy greatly but was worth it as I burnt more than three wolves, there were atleast 4 that were hiding in the brush around me. I grinned in grim satisfaction as a few wolves were running off tails ablaze, it was then I realized what I had did. The forest was on fire! I hid in an invisibility spell and sprinted back to the house. Soon rain began to pelt my invisible form. I looked back at the growing fire to see that the rain wasn't doing much to extinguish it. I gulped and kept on running, hopefully this wouldn't track back to me...
"You failed the mission! You were only supposed to torch three! Not the whole lot!" Brynjolf shouted at me, I looked at the ground ashamed, he took a few deep breaths, "Mercer Frey wants to have a talk with you..."
A memory flashed by as I ran, I remembered the first mission I had failed, I was only supposed to torch three of a residents bee hives but the fire spread before I could do anything and burnt them all. I turned around, the fire still raging, I wasn't going to let this fire do anything to these residents. In my hand I conjured a frost Atronach, he walked over to the fire, and made itself explode, causing a miniature blizzard which put out some of the fire. I summoned two more, I kept on doing this until the fire was gone.
I felt eyes watching me and I saw a few pegasi staring at me in awe at how effortlessly I put out the inferno. I waved and jogged back to Ponyville, this time actually making it there...
*******************************
I lazily opened my eyes to see a clear blue sky above, and the ground below. I yawned stretching and flapping my wings, I looked down to see that the plants I saw earlier weren't there now... gah! I should have known that I would be put off course by sleeping on a cloud! I growled angrily and snapped at the air. I lost so much distance! I looked around for the beacon that is Alduin. I did a full 360 rotation before finding his position. I rose to and plummeted straight downward scaring a few birds on the way down.
I leveled myself out, flying at insanely fast speeds, I grinned in spite of myself, flying truly is and was amazing. I flapped my wings in the same motion I did earlier to gain speed. I began to see the beacon clearer until I saw Alduin himself, I stopped and hovered, confused, I looked down to see the odd mix of Skyrim and other landly plants, but what was Alduin doing here? I watched in amazement as he summoned the dragon from the dead. A blue glow filled the hole that Alduin had excavated himself, or looked like he did.
The dragon slowly rose like he had been asleep and nothing more, he looked up at us and smiled, spreading his wings he flew up and gave a cry of joy, "I'm free from that prison! Thank you Alduin! Thank you! It feels so good to finally stretch my wings!" I recognized him, but I couldn't name him, he flew off leaving behind Alduin and I, he turned towards me, "Yes, sister? What is it?" I gulped nervously, "Erm.. um.. I found the Dragonborn like you requested." He landed, I followed suit, he was giving me a grin, one he barely gives anydragon, "Please Sister, would you tell me?" I nodded and spoke rather quietly, "He is in the odd town that is full of Equine's called Ponyville I believe." He did something I wasn't expecting at all, he nuzzled my neck and said, "Thank you Sister, would you be so kind as to gather the forces? We shall make an attempt to slay him once for all." I blushed, smiling slightly, I said, "Yes, Brother." I flew off towards the crag near Markarth, where dragons meet to discuss important matters.
******************************
I finally reached the outskirts of Ponyville to be greeted by a very sad pink pony, she seemed to come up to me at a blurring pace, "Jiques! A red dragon is here to see you! and it's not Odehviinge or whatever his name is." I sprinted past Pinkie, I racked my mind for any other red dragon, I couldn't remember ever hearing about another red dragon besides Odahviing. His large form sat abroad the street in front of Rarity's boutique. I ran up to him and I finally knew who this dragon was, it was Nahfahlaar, he sat rather glumly as the ponies all went in-doors at the sight of him. His scales shined a deep burgundy as the rain pelted his large form.
"Nahfahlaar, I thought you went missing!" His head slowly turned towards my voice and he spoke rather thoughtfully, "Yes, but I am back, I have news, news you won't like. The dragon Denslenul has betrayed you, she really came here to find you and rally the dragon armies to finally come and kill you. But I have something you'll like to know, as you may know I have a long history of protecting kings and other people. I wish to aid you, will you accept?" Anger burned in my chest, I knew I could trust Nahfahlaar, he had a long history of protecting and being protected. "Yes." The sound of my voice bounced off the wall of every house and could be heard through the driving rain by everypony.
I turned and looked out in the horizon, a dark blotch could be seen in the distance. Fear encompassed me but I passed it down, I jogged to Twilight's house, lightning shooting down on the earth. I walked into the tree, I cried out "Twilight!" She popped her head out of the door to her bedroom and looked down at my soaking form. "Twilight, I need you to get the princess's here as fast as you can, we have a major problem in our hands... sorry hooves." I corrected myself. Spike came down followed by Twilight, "Twilight, Alduin is planning on attacking here soon. We are gonna need an army if we even stand a chance..."
After Twilight sent the message via Spike, we waited for a response. Narsis looked panic-stricken, I kept my cool, Twilight was looking for spells that will help in the battle against the dragons and Spike was eating a tub of ice-cream. He ate a scoop and burped up his ice cream along with the message. I grabbed the letter before it got ruined by the drool that accompanied the ice-cream. I read it out loud...
Dear, Twilight Sparkle
We will be there shortly, I hear the urgency of this, and will be there soon.
Your teacher,
Princess Celestia
I held it up and said, "That's all there is." Soon the room lit with energy as the two Sisters teleported into the library. They both said hello at the same time and I instantly went into talking about the imminent attack. First they were surprised but then they began to form ideas to defeat Alduin and his horde of dragons. The first idea, was of course, friendship. That was quickly shut down, next was killing him, but then the other dragons would be a problem, the next idea was crazier then the last, get Spike to propose a truce. Until an idea hit me I didn't like at all, an idea I didn't want to be a part of...
"...I heard you had something called the Elder Scrolls, is it possible these can help us?" My hands reached towards my pack as I pulled out the elegant roll of paper. How could something so simple be so powerful? I looked at each of them, "I know what I have to do."
Chapter 13 - The Elder Scrolls
Princess Celestia took the Elder Scrolls from my grasp with her magic, she looked over it, examining the entire scroll. She finally tore her eyes away from the beautiful object. "I sense a great magical aura around these scrolls, may I be allowed to open it and perhaps read it?" I felt relief wash over me, it would've been a real hassle if she opened without asking first (more like her eyes being melted into their sockets, her body being desinigrated, and a very shocked crowd.) I quickly explained, "Princess if you read the scrolls, without being in the proper place and the proper time," I cringed, "unknown things might happen, kinda like how I got sent here, but the thing I was expected was more gruesome, and not to mention very painful."
She nodded in acknowledgement and I took the scrolls back, this thing could be very potentially dangerous, but could save the lives of millions. It's amazing how something so small and insignificant can cause the greatest change. I looked up from the roll of papyrus to see Twilight cringing, I could've guessed that since she is Celestia's protege it would make sense for her to feel the worst about anything happening to her.
"I know exactly what we need to do," My raspy voice causing Fluttershy to wince, "I need to read these at the top of the summit, where I once heard Twilight said a dragon lived on, because there is no higher mountain, also," I looked over at Celestia," There is a path up the mountain to its peak, correct?" She nodded an affirmative. A thought hit my mind, things are escalating quite quickly, it's only been a week or two, and I'm already having to set out again to slay Alduin, nice to know I haven't lost my touch. I smiled inwardly at these thoughts.
Suddenly Luna spoke up, "How does thou expect to scale thy mountain alone?" I instantly felt silly for forgetting that I actually needed to climb the mountain. I answered, "I think I will be perfectly fine on my own, you doubt my powers obviously, "Luna snorted, "I don't want any of you to follow me, it would weigh on my conscious heavily, if one of you got hurt, even though I can heal, I have some extent to my abilities." They all nodded, (Man this is escalating quickly!) "See you all on the other side." With that I walked out the door Narsis in tow. I narrowed my eyes, "I thought I said I didn't want anyone to follow me?"
He gave me a defiant look, "I am coming with you whether you like it or not," He then repeated what I said, "it would weigh on my conscious heavily, if you got hurt, and you couldn't heal yourself." I face palmed inwardly, I gave a sigh of reluctance, what can I say? He was right, no reason to try and doubt it. "FFFFfffiiiinnnnneee, you can come, but make sure you don't die okay?" He chuckled at my childish manner, we began our trek onwards, I could see the mountain off in the distance, but first we had the Everfree to scale, before the mountain.
We slowly walked into the bramble thicket that bordered the tree line, our bodies slowly blending in with the foliage. The light almost instantly dimmed, ponds and small animals littered the ground and trees.
**************************************
I didn't know what to think, they had just up and left, and what had Jiques meant by, 'see you on the other side.' when he left? Could it mean he was going to get hurt? Or worse, death? These thoughts kept on rambling in her mind, she sincerely felt worried for the lizard man for the first time since his coming...
**************************************
The light turned from it's original yellow, to green as the plants reflected the light, and changed its color. We were quiet for a time, stray thoughts passed and lingered in my mind, 'will Odahviing be angry I up and left him?', 'the ponies are better off without you to intervene in their lives', 'what do I do once I reach the peak of the cliff?', and 'how is Narsis feeling?
These thoughts were interrupted by weird noises, they sounded, odd, wood sliding against wood, along with panting breath and growls. Blood rushed to my face as I realized we just stumbled upon a Timberwolf mating ground, Narsis was also looking bashful as he realized what we had walked into. Luckily they didn't spot us, a few of them had tree sap surrounding them, with long... I quickly looked away, and focused on using an invisibility spell on us both, it worked just in time as one of them got up and looked in our direction only to see nothing.
We walked together through the clearing trying to avoid the wooden wolves as much as possible, we soon found ourselves in the clear, and I took down the spells, Narsis took a sigh of relief and said, "Boy, that was close." I nodded, "Yup, we better get moving now." He looked up and followed me as we walked towards our destination. I was surprised, we hadn't been attacked yet, I would've expected to be swarmed in bears, tigers, bandits and vampires all at once. But not a single threat showed, I whispered, "Laas, yah, nir" I saw a few heartbeats, one of them red. Turns out it was just a fox, from what I could tell, we were about halfway through this god-forsaken forest.
We walked into another clearing, except, nothing was here, just some fauna, and other plants. We were about to walk into the trees again, when we were met by iceberg lettuce colored cat like eyes. It growled, and 5 more manticores walked out from the surrounding brush, I gave them a sadistic grin, I lowered my head, shadowing my eyes, and shouted, "Time for you to taste your first blood GoldBrand." I pulled out the gold sword, and rested its tip on the ground. I screamed, "MID, VUR, SHAAN!" Our weapons glowed a dull red, as I gave them extra attacking speed. I then shouted, "MUL, QAH DIIV!" I felt my energy drain, but than come back as my body was encased in a glowing light, I felt the katana become the weight of a feather, my cloak feeling like air. I charged, Narsis next to my side.
I brought my blade down upon the one that summoned its allies faster than what should of been possible. It's brains peeled out as my sword divided its brain by two. I torn around to see Narsis slaying another, only leaving four. I lunged at another, slicing it in the chest, and bringing the blade down upon its leg, then I twirled and did a downward slash upon its head, all the while it roared and tried to swipe, but I was so agile it couldn't land a single blow.
I heard a scream pierce the sounds of battle, Narsis got stung by the barbed tail. Anger enveloped me, changing the glowing armor from gold to blood red. "You hurt my friend, YOU DIE! " I screamed. I drove my blade deep inside the head of the manticore that pierced Narsis's chest, I brought the blade out and made the last manticore feel pain, I slashed its left leg off, then its right. I healed the wounds only to stem the blood loss, I lopped off its tail, and after a minute of it's torture I finally killed it, I brought my attention to a very sick looking Argonian, wait, Argonians are immune to disease, it was the poison (Man I can be dense sometimes), my hand went awash with a golden light, instantly healing Narsis, and his gaping hole in his belly.
His face cleared up of it's earlier sick features, I helped him up, and we continued our journey towards the mountain...
We finally reached the base of the mountain without incident, the trees had melted away to a beautiful landscape, shadowed by the large pile of rock and dirt in front of us. A path was made clear, by a sign pointing upwards. We started slowly, and began to speed up. I then heard the alto familiar roar of a dragon, causing Narsis to freeze in pure terror while I worked my mouth trying to think of a good thu'um and fast! One came to mind and I screamed, "Krii, Lun, Aus!" The purple wall hit the dragon straight on, by the looks of it, it was a simple blood dragon.
The dragon glowed purple, lines intersecting along its body, it gave a roar as it was marked for death. It hovered, and I whipped out my bow, notched a daedric arrow and fired, watching as it hit the dragon in the muzzle, it screamed fire at me, I blocked it just in time with a ward. It flew over for another pass, this time landing. I pulled out my katana, its pyridium orange glinted in the sunlight, I brought the sword down, only giving the dragon a nice long cut.
It roared and tried to snap at me, only to find I was behind it. I went dare devil mode, and jumped onto its spade-ish tail. It tried to get me off by whipping its tail, I rolled up onto its torso and ran my blade along its neck, finally reaching its head, I plunged it down, killing it. I felt my body gain the essence of the recently slain dragon. Narsis stared at me in shock, before we continued our journey up the mountain...
**********************************
We were ready, we were finally ready to take down the Dragonborn, and make sure no more of his bloodline come back to haunt us, and slay our very beings. I looked over the assembled dragons, Alduin sitting beside me, giving his war battle speech, me just sitting there looking as pretty as always. I had realized I never chose a mate, I saw a few males staring at me in awe at my beauty. I batted my eyes, and continued standing, soon, we would charge into battle against the Dragonborn and his filthy equines he made as allies...
We continued our trek up the mountain, we soon found ourselves in a rock avalanche zone, but just as luck would have it, a few timberwolves were sleeping in our path. I held up my hands, one glue ice blue, the other a dark indigo. I used muffle first, than I turned invisible, Narsis followed suit, with muffle than he drank a potion. I took a few carefully placed steps, which is two times harder, because I was invisible.
Suddenly I bumped into Narsis, I fell backwards landing on one of the sleeping timberwolves, it yelped and jumped up snapping its maw where it thought I was. It was an inch off, I jumped to my feet, my body began to glow lavendar as the spell wore off, it was then that they all jumped up and the entire time we tried to sneak was practically worthless, I looked over my shoulder seeing Narsis become visible just then. I slid my katana out of its sheath, Narsis followed likewise, his Elven dagger now had a ice blue hue to it.
We charged, I shouted, "FAAS, RU. MAAR!" The wolves that were affecting began, prancing around, fear enveloped their minds, as the thu'um did it's work. Narsis lopped off a wolf's head, and I slashed at its leg, then I got a lucky hit in its neck. It dropped dead as soon as my sword left the wound. That left 4, they prowled around us, trying to flank us no doubt. I emitted my hand with a orange glow, fire began to cackle in my hand, it was almost begging to be release upon these wooden constructs.
I let loose a wall of flame, encasing two of the wolves, I watched in grim satisfaction as their bodies burnt to husks. I spun around to be met by, another wolf. It lunged and I rolled to the left, evading the blow, when it landed it swung its great neck towards me, I brought my blade down upon it's unknowing head. It was split into two, my ears caught the howl of a wolf, goddamn it are there more? My question was answered by another feral howl. I shouted, "MID, VUR, SHAAN!"
Our weapons glowed as they begun to lighten in weight, dramatically. The wolves came into sight, they were in the path we had to take to get to the top. I did a quick count, about 13, they charged and we held our ground, I began placing runes, and firewalls, along with lightningwalls. When they came running into the traps, they literally dropped from 13 to 2 in 5 seconds.
He took the one on the right, I got the left, after we slayed them we continued our walk upwards. It was then I noticed the ground had begun shaking, I mentally face palmed, we were still in the avalanche zone, I'm amazed we didn't set it off earlier. Rocks began to tumble down, along with boulders, "Narsis! RRRUUUUUNNNN!!! " I screamed. I didn't know if he was following me or not, because I ran like death was chasing me, heh, he may be. As suddenly as they started, the rocks stopped.
My feet stopped moving and I looked around for Narsis, I walked back intent on finding him, turns out he was just behind a boulder. "Hey, Jiques?" I looked over, "Yes?"
"How much farther do we need to go?"
I took a quick glance at the map, "Not very far, in fact we are almost to the top."
I saw his emotions turn from despair, to glee. Couldn't really blame him, I wanted to hurry up and get out of here fast too. The path rounded the mountain, and we soon found we had to jump across a small gap to continue on our way forward. We gave a little hop, it wasn't too large a gap, but if you weren't careful, you could fall down and die. I thought about it for a moment, wow that would be a very sad fate, falling down a small hole, only to go splat on the ground below. I shook my head trying to get these thoughts out of my head.
We finally reached the cave that was told to hold the dragon until the ponies Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, Pinkie, Applejack and Rarity got it to leave. I never heard the whole story, but it was probably something I should look into. We reached the peak, the view was amazing, we could see for miles on end, if I reached up I could touch the clouds! Now that is amazing.
"Narsis, I'm going to need you to back up, I don't know what this might do to anyone in the vicinity." He obeyed and backed away a good 15 feet. I inhaled, than exhaled, and opened the scrolls. The same blue intricate web greeted me, except this time it didn't hurt so much, just a small pinprick of pain.
The world turned black, than orange, I was atop a mountain, I could hear a few people talking nearby, but they were interrupted by a landing dragon, they dispatched it quickly, they began asking each other, why hadn't Alduin come yet? But it was then he showed, his fierce some black hide, seemed to suck in all the light, one of the three, shouted at Alduin "Joor, Zah, Frul!" Alduin became encompassed in a blue glow, it almost seemed he was forced to land.
He screamed at the people, "What have you done? What twisted foul words have you made?" Alduin then took out one of the people, a female it seemed, and began attacking the Nord, leaving behind the old withered mage, he opened the scrolls, and began to chant. So this is what happened. The world turned dark once more, and I found myself back where I was, I closed the scrolls, and said "Narsis, I know what we have to do now..."
**************************
I felt glee building, we were finally going to attack! And I just couldn't wait to feel the crunch of bones, and flesh in my maw. The taste of the blood of my enemies. And last but not least, kill the one that slayed many of my kin, in fact I have no idea why he trusted me. Because, I wouldn't...

Chapter 7 - Preparations and an interrogation
For the first time since coming here, I walked out the door, not in the event of danger, but just to go outside. The crisp air had the smell of cinnamon, wheat and other things. My gaze lingered on a group of ponies, they were whispering in a huddled group, one of them would glance up at me, seeing me watching they quickly ducked back down. I whispered "laas, yah, nir." I immediately regretted doing that, my eyesight lit up not unlike a Christmas tree, green, some yellow lights appeared all over my vision. Twilight had followed me out, I let my hood fall around my neck, as the sun's rays beat down upon me. I consulted Twilight, "Hey Twilight, is it okay if I summon a dragon?" Her eyes went wide, and I quickly added, "Don't worry, he wont attack PonyVille." She looked reluctant but finally said, "Sure."
I screamed into the air, "OD, AH, VIING!" A lot of the ponies jumped in fright at the sudden sound coming from a bipedal lizard. I watched the skies, soon enough I heard a screech pierce the air, my pet dragon finally erupted into view. His red scales glimmered in the full rays of the sun. He majestically hovered in the air, before dropping the ground. "Hello, once again Dragonborn." He stated in a deep gravelly voice. I reached up and rubbed his nose, he hummed a melodic tone, and I finally said, "Odahviing, I need you to guard this town with your life, Alduin may be coming here." He gave me a sad look and said, "I do not wish to hurt another of my kind, but I shall do as requested." He lifted his bat like wings into the air and shot off, causing a group of ponies that had gathered, to run off screaming. I groaned, after waiting a few minutes which were greeted with a lot of ponies running around and causing a racket, I was finally able to use Kyne's Peace, "KAAN, DREM, OV" Almost as if on cue they all stopped running around and looked confused as to why they were running around again. "Man, it feels good to be dragonborn." I thought aloud.
Twilight took a step towards me, "Wow, I didn't think that was even possible! How did you tame a dragon? And, how did you calm all the ponies just by shouting?" I chuckled, "I tamed the dragon by holding it captive at Dragonsreach, and the other thing I did was a thu'um called Kyne's peace, it causes all creatures within hearing range lose the will to flee or fight. unfortunately it only lasts a few minutes before wearing off." Twilight looked at me with a aura of awe surrounding her, she then became confused, "Dragonsreach?" I looked down at Twilight and replied, "Dragonsreach is where the Jarl lives, Dragonsreach is in Whiterun which is located on the eastern end of its Hold, in the tundra plains that fills the center of Skyrim. It was founded by Jeek of the River, who was the captain of Jorrvaskr. Upon discovery of the Skyforge, he and his men constructed the great mead hall of Jorrvaskr, which at the time was the sole structure on the bluff. Now, Whiterun is a large city, albeit one that retains the feel of a smaller Nord village. The central location and easy access make it one of the most successful cities in trade.
When approaching Whiterun, the towering fortress of Dragonsreach dominates the view. Its history can be traced back to the First Era, when King Olaf One-Eye subdued the great dragon Numinex in a legendary duel of Thu’ums atop Mount Anthor, and brought him back to the fledgling town as a captive. It was then that the magnificent keep was rebuilt and renamed to serve as a cage for Numinex, whose head still adorns the Great Hall."
Where this Info is found
After that brief description Twilight asked another question, "And, how do you know all this?" I answered simply, "I live there, its best to know the history of where you live." As I said this the great and elegant beast, made another pass of the town, sometimes alighting on the ground, but never getting so close as to frighten the residents. Pretty soon I heard hoofs approaching, I turned my gaze from the dragon to the ponies that were closing in. It was a large group, almost as if all of Ponyville were running towards us, in fact it may have been.
There was a gray mare in the lead of the charging group, she was adorned with glasses, and a smart shirt. It looked like a really messed up rainbow, with a few Pegasi following above. I was tackled by a cyan mare with a rainbow mane, it screamed at me, fear evident on its face, "I KNEW WE COULDN'T TRUST YOU! WHY DID YOU BRING A DRAGON HERE?" I had no answer to that, I was still trying to figure out what was going on, when a purple glow enveloped the mare and lifted her off of me. I whispered, "TIID KLO UL" As if seen on a projector the world around me turned grey and slowed. I got up, to the ponies it would probably look like I shouted at them and was moving at unnatural speed. I felt the world slowly going back to its normal speed, as I stood seeing the color return to the world.
Rainbow Dash screamed at me, "WHAT DID YOU JUST DO?" Her muzzle was instantly quieted by Twilight's magic, I sighed and stared at the assembled ponies who were glaring at me and some were shouting insults. "If you will all be quiet I think he would explain!" Twilight shouted causing all the ponies to quiet at once. My mouth opened and I started talking in a small voice on purpose, if I was quiet they would have to be silent to hear my words. "I summoned a dragon to protect this town," Odahviing flew over again getting a few starts from the crowd. "He wont hurt you, I made sure of that, I'm only doing this because I got an Omen from Vaermina, a god from my land, that a ancient dragon is going to attack here, I know this is true because I summoned Odahviing, my dragon, if I couldn't then I knew I could doubt the omen, which even then wouldn't be smart. Those shouts you heard are called thu'um to be able to use a thu'um you need to fully understand the words you are shouting, this is the language of the dragons. I am Dragonborn meaning I have the ability to grasp the knowledge and power from other dragons and grasp the concept of a word in a matter of seconds, while for others it would take years just to master one word." I took a breath, "I'm just doing this a precaution I dont want to get caught with my pants down, so to speak."
The grey mare spoke up, "Well, how can we trust you? For all we know you could be trying to earn our trust and then turn it against us." This is the question I was dreading, how would I get out of this one? But thankfully I was saved by Twilight, "I can make sure he won't be doing anything bad, I'll keep an eye on him, since he is living with me." Twilight had finally put Rainbow Dash down, and the other four came out from the crowd, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were all looking worried, I felt anxiety starting to build. Everyone kept on giving me distrustful stares, Pinkie Pie was the first to say anything, "Twilight, you sure about this?" I was shocked, this was nothing like the earlier Pinkie, Applejack spoke up next, "Twi, I don' wan' anythin' to happin' tah y'ah, please," at this part she held her hat in a hoof against her chest, "please be careful." I rolled my eyes as Rarity spoke up, "Darling, I really don't want anything to happen to you, "She spoke in a whisper now, "I dont trust that lizard guy." At this I was starting to get angry, I snorted, Fluttershy hid her face in her mane and said in a near silent whisper, "Twilight, he's really scary." She breathed the last part, she squeaked when I narrowed my eyes, she lunged back into the crowd.
At this point, I was already angry so I just stood there gritting my teeth and wincing when my incisors cut the gums of the my teeth. I let my gaze wander, anger turning my face from its peaceful expression into a reflection of the mood I was in. My feathers quivered as I took in a deep breath trying to calm myself, I adjourned the crowd by whispering, "Strun bah qo." Causing dark clouds to cover the beautiful day, much to the ponies confusion of the almost instant storm. Rain began to pelt the gathered creatures, I took this as my opportunity to go inside the tree. Twilight followed me in quickly and made hasty good byes to the other ponies as she closed the door.
She stared at me and asked, "You caused the storm didn't you?" I answered with a simple nod, I looked at the magically imbued sundial and saw the time was 3:45 PM. I grimaced, today was going to be a long day.
__________________________________________________________________________________
I had asked Twilight for a Alchemy table, she found an old one she didn't use anymore and let me use it. After a few attempts I made 8 healing potions, 5 stamina, 6 magicka, and 1 invisibility potion.
