Legion's Plague

Additional Tags: [Random], use of satyr, removed the [Sad] tag since the [Tragedy] tag kinda covers the sad. Needed trigger warning: Rape, both actual and implied, gore, mutilation, and all around violence. Tread with caution.

EDIT: Has been put on hiatus until a re-write can be made available, especially since I've been focusing on other things as of late. Apologies to those who read this story (and perhaps liked it for whatever reason).

Equestria: It was once a land of prosperity–and that prosperity nearly quadrupled because of a merging with another world…the human world. Cultures diversified, fused, and flourished and the humans (as well as other things from their homeworld) were permanent Equestrian citizens to be ruled under Celestia and Luna. This was thanks to the Wandering Heroes…but that was nearly what, 25 years ago?

Now, a gruesome plague sweeps the land and it seems to have started from Canterlot. Many residents have died, but not enough to trigger the Apocalypse. Not only that, but ancient evils long thought sealed away are stirring awake and bringing about even more havoc. The Wandering Heroes are more or less crippled, and bedridden as a result. The Princesses, save Twilight, have inexplicably gone missing.

What hope is there, one would ask, in a world of turmoil when the Heroes themselves are rendered useless? A rather large group of unlikely people and ponies find themselves thrown into an imbalance of nature and morality. Eventually, the original eight Wandering Heroes will recover, but it isn't fast enough for the world… is it? With the clock ticking down faster than one can formulate a battle strategy, who's to say there's no time left?

The unlikely group objects to that statement, and they intend to fix this problem regardless of the perils. Little do they know, however, that they are fighting a losing battle…
