I made it back to post at around 0930 after breakfast with Dash, Dinky, Pinkie, and the Cakes. Twi was waiting for me in my office and asked me how breakfast was and if anything had happened during pt as if she already knew what had happened. "So you heard about that huh Twi” I asked "Uhhm yeh Dash told me about it and she said you handled it really well. I’m happy for that" she said to me. I changed out of my pt outfit and started getting into my dress uniform. Twi helped me out a bit and in no time I was looking like a professional soldier. I and Twi went to look for Dash and her husband to have some chats on the upcoming day and all of our parts in the day ahead. Dash along with the ponies of Top Wing along with the Wonder Bolts was going to put on a show for every pony and had a place in it for all of us at some point in it. My unit was ready for this along with Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle, who were in uniform as well, and waiting for all of us to make our way to the field where every pony was already formed up and waiting for inspection. We met up with the bolts and started making our way to the field and the beginning of our long day. The princesses were already on their way and the advanced royal guards were already at the base. Needless to say we were on lockdown and no pony was allowed on post without proper id.
The 2 princesses arrived on time in royal fashion, I and Dash along with the 6 ponies of harmony went out to inspect all the formed up ponies and to be inspected ourselves. Yes they weren’t part of the military but in a way they were their own military being the Elements of Harmony so they too were inspected as well. The 2 princesses went on to the field where we all were at and saluted us all and called me my unit, and the other 6 ponies over to them to have us inspect them as well.
After inspection I and Dash dismissed the entire base for some free time before everything began later that day. I Twilight along with Dash and her husband went to the Sugar Cube Corner for a quick meeting before lunch and to meet up with the rest of the 6 ponies. "Well I think we can swing this for sure I mean heck there is plenty of time before we all have to be at the cemetery for the ceremonies and other things" Dash said to a quick apple buck at Sweet Apple Acres to get rid of any stress we all had. We made it to Sweet Apple Acres in no time and in no time not only had gotten rid of our stress but had bucked almost an entire seasons worth of apples. After the apple bucking we all had to get to the rail station and make our way to Canterlot and our meeting with the princesses and our lunch. We made it there in no time and had eaten and had our meeting with the princesses and were off to the cemetery and the ceremonies that were going to happen.

The introductions to every pony involved took a while longer than expected, and the Wonder Bolts along with the graduating classes of Top Wing had to wait until the intros were all done and out of the way.

Spitfire spoke up getting every pony’s attention before the show. "OK EVERY PONY WHOS READY TO SEE DAREING FEATS PREFORMED BY NONE OTHER THAN EQUESTRIA'S VERY OWN DAREING FLIGHT TEAM SUPPORTED BY RAINBOW DASH AND HER TOP WING CLASS" Every pony hoof stomped and made noise as the Wonder Bolts took to the air followed by the ponies of Top Wing led by none other than Rainbow Dash and her husband.

The air show went off without a hitch me and my unit along with top wing put on a reenactment of the battle for Ponyville to the thunderous hoof stomping of every pony gathered. it was made even better due to it still being fresh in all of our minds.
The cemetery was packed full with ponies waiting to be able to walk the grounds and look for loved ones lost in the war. I joined Applejack along with the rest of the 6 along with their families and the 2 princesses and we all saluted the 3 grave markers marking where Big Mac, Apple Bloom, and Applejack's dog were buried. Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle both wept at the stone marking where Apple Bloom was at and placed medals, and flowers on her grave then went on to Big Mac's grave. I and the 6 ponies and princesses went over to Derpy's grave next. Dinky was already there placing an Equestrian Postal Service flag along with a military flag in a flag stand that had been added to the grave stone. "I love you mom, I always will I joined the postal service soon after you died, and the military next, I wish to make you proud of me and to follow in your hoof prints. I am in school, and am doing ok with it. Pvt Read and Twilight have sort of taken me in and I thank them every day for it. I don’t know why you had to die but I know I am a strong filly and I will one day get over it but for now I will continue to mourn you in my own way I love you still” I joined her at the grave and hoof saluted her saying that her mother was quite a mare and that Dinky had become just like her. This made her cry a bit and hug me.
We all went down the rows of graves and hoof saluted them all thanking them for their duty to all Equestria and for the protection of Ponyville in its darkest hour. After we walked the graves we all stood at attention as the Equestrian National Anthem was played by Octavia and her band along with a 21 gun salute for all who had died. The mayor had a few more things to say then it was time for well, a party I mean the day had been a sad and solemn one for all and it was about time for some livening up. After all today was also a celebration of the lives that had been saved and those who remained after it all. Dj Pon-3 was already in full mix mode along with Octavia who had her band playing in a separate part of the cemetery reserved for those who weren’t into the high level of music of Dj Pon-3.
Ponies across Equestria were having their own special services as they all saw fit. In Appleloosa they had a bonfire along with a rodeo to celebrate the western way. They also had invited the bison since they too had played a huge part in the saving of that town. In Fillydelphia there was a huge fireworks show along the river for all to see and enjoy. There were things going on all across the land along with in Haywaii where all the top brass were at. The brass was all in one place at one time, an unlikely event in most cases. However today was no regular day, they had just gotten done reading the names of all killed from the base and were about to dismiss for a quick lunch when it happened, the blinding light the noise the confusion of every pony in attendance and the sudden shock wave that incinerated them all. Haywaii was wiped off any maps in one fowl sweep. The Equestrian military was now without leaders and we in Ponyville had no clue of any of this until some pony came rushing into the event yelling that something big had just happened. The music was turned off and the party stopped then the TV was turned on.

I was getting my combat gear together when Dinky came in the office. "I have a package for you from your commander; it was delivered to the post office by him after the war ended. Upon reading this I quickly put on the new oak clusters that the box contained. I looked over the codes enclosed in the box as well and thought to myself "only if it really has to come down to it will I ever use these"
I looked for Dash who was already getting into her flight gear along with the rest of the now on alert Ponyville air force and told her to wait on flying anywhere until we had a plan of action. Not knowing if Ponyville was already a target as it had been in the last war I told the mayor to have every pony in the town come to Mare Mar for an emergency town meeting to which she quickly agreed.
I was now in my combat gear along with just about every pony that was stationed at the base; those that were just getting into town via emergency train service for military ponies were told to get into their combat gear as fast as they could. The 2 guests we had in town Octavia and Dj pon-3 were told to stay on the base until proper support could take them to Canterlot.

It was almost 0300 when the meeting was finally over. I along with Twilight was talking to the princesses about what they had said. "Are you 2 sure you know what you are getting into? The E.L.F were looking for you 2 in the last war, now you want to just join the battle? I think they may be expecting that" "YES,, YES WE ARE SURE ABOUT THIS. WE WANT TO PROVE THAT WE ARE WORTHY RULERS OF THIS LAND, WHAT KIND OF RULERS WOULD WE BE IF WE JUST SAT IN OUR CASTLE WHILE PONIES WERE FIGHTING AND DIEING AROUND US" I simply looked at them. They did have a point and they were the princesses. I was only a major after all, where would I get off on trying to put 2 princesses in their place? "More than likely a 1,000 year stay on the moon" I thought to myself.
Morning came fast since we had all only gone to bed 3 hours before. We all were extremely tired but also ready to get payback for the previous day. Pt was hard and fast the Pegasus ponies did air combat pt, and we ran, did pushups, sit ups, cardio, and other exercises. After pt came the issuing of combat gear for every pony, a combat load of ammo, canteens, grenades, flack vest, and other assorted items used for combat. We didn’t have to wait long for the E.L.F to attack places from the ground. This time they had heavy armor along with other firepower.

decoded messages with the letters NLR, Luna's counter intel ponies, and my choice

I was a bit taken aback at the way Luna had taken charge and how she was so willing to go to war but I also had to think back to the first war. Both Luna and Celestia had been locked in the castle during it all, and had no real chance to take part in the fight. I did however find it odd that when I put both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo in charge of the counter Intel sector to decode any messages from the E.L.F radio station Luna also put some ponies of her own in place. That’s not what bothered me though. What bothered me was the fact that even though both of my counter inlet ponies were captains, Luna placed 2 lieutenants in charge of her very own counter Intel group. One thing that struck both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo as odd also was the fact that they had to answer to the 2 lieutenants even though they were both captains and the other2 were of lower rank.
As time went on there would be several communications that were decoded by my 2 ponies in Intel with the 3 same letters always coming up at random times but always in capital letters or bold print. Anytime one of these would come in to the office the 2 lieutenants would take the communication and go into a separate room where they would have meetings with other ponies who were now coming on to the base almost every day.
Both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo came to me on a few occasions as we were trying to still figure out our best option of attacking the E.L.F. I would simply dismiss the communications as something that was not that important. In a way I was letting my rank go to my head and it was a bad thing. If only I had known what was really going on I would have been on alert for something massive to happen at any time.
Both Luna and Celestia had gone off to other cities after our meeting the other day and Luna was on her way to a tiny town on the foothills of a place called Shattered Hoof Ridge and had taken the Wonder Bolts, Dash, and Top Wing with her along with a force all her own of her newly created special pony forces. In the meantime I along with my unit had been ordered to stay on post until needed; the order had been handed down by Luna. I had a sickening feeling in my gut that something was about to happen and that we being the best fighters in Equestria were being left out on purpose. we were in fact told to stay behind and to hold the base at all costs.
"FUCK THIS SHIT I HAVE HAD IT WHY THE HELL ARE WE BEING LEFT OUT OF A FIGHT THAT ALL OF US HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO BE IN DAMN IT!!!" I yelled at no pony in particular I was just upset. At that I took it upon myself to deploy every pony at the base to places all across Equestria. I had a small air force that was just waiting around for orders so I ordered them to fly Intel gathering missions to see what the E.L.F was up to and to report their findings only to Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo and to no pony else.
Next I told Rarity, Applejack and Pinkie to take shelter with the mayor and to protect her at all costs I knew something was up but I just couldn’t prove it yet. Applejack was put in charge of clearing any and all rubble from attacks that may have come. Rarity was now the mayor’s bodyguard fulltime where she went Rarity would go combat shotgun in tow at all-time locked and loaded.
I managed to get a hold of Fluttershy who was in a small town outside Fillydelphia helping ponies in a medical tent and told her to stay there with her husband. There were still a few stable tech ponies in Ponyville who had been spending a lot of time at Sweet Apple Acres so I asked them why they were even in Ponyville and who they really worked for. They simply told me that they were in charge of building bomb shelters and that the apple cellars at the farm were being expanded to house any pony in the event of a bombing run. I went to go see Pinkie after this, and told her to take every pony she was watching to Sweet Apple Acres and to keep every pony in the new shelter until I got back. I was going to take my unit to Shattered Hoof Ridge even if it was going against Luna’s orders I couldn’t just sit back and do nothing. After all I had lost some close friends in the first war to the E.L.F and I wanted payback.
Before leaving the base I went to a place I had not been in quite some time. The CMC club house where they had kept all the Intel they gathered on the E.L.F. Upon opening the door my eyes were greeted by a poster on a back wall that had a picture of Luna on it with the letters in bold type N.L.R on it. I went through everything in the clubhouse from names, dates, times, passwords, you name it the CMC had gotten it and it was all pointing to something I could have never imagined the fall of Princess Luna at the hooves of some group calling itself the N.L.R. There was no hint that the CMC were involved in it and I really hoped that they didn’t have any part of it but that they had gathered all of this Intel on their missions. I collected what I could before shutting the door and making my way back to the base. I said nothing to any pony especially my wife who was now going into a combat situation for her very first time ever. I gave her what training I could along with my unit and then we were off. Crossing the bridge made me cringe a bit at what I had discovered in the clubhouse and the fact that this was more than likely the last time any of us would ever cross that bridge.
We made it to Canterlot by the end of the day, along the way being passed by several ponies fleeing what I could only imagine as hell at the hooves of the E.L.F. There were several mercenary groups going about Equestria also. Anytime we would run into one I gathered any Intel I could from them and tell them to stay safe. I hated mercenaries, but at this point in time they were all doing exactly what we were doing, trying to make since of everything that was now happening.
The E.L.F weren’t attacking unless they had to instead they were establishing a government all their own. This was an odd move for an army that had been so hell-bent on the destruction of Equestria 2 years before. We stayed in Canterlot for 2 days to rest up for the upcoming major move we were going to make to Shattered Hoof Ridge and gathered supplies for the march there.

the new Canterlot royal gaurd, my march to Shatterd Hoof Ridge, and the rise of the N.L.R

We left Canterlot early in the morning so as not to make a big scene. I told twilight to go to the castle to gather anything regarding Intel on this new so called N.L.R and to meet me back in Ponyville with what she found. I figured she would be best suited for this duty seeing as she was the prized student of Celestia herself and if any pony could get that Intel she could.
We hugged and kissed, and then she was on her way to the castle. I led my unit out of the city and into an all new hell. The sky was choked with smoke, ash, and what seemed to be snow. The fallout from all the nukes was now settling over Equestria giving everything an eerie feel to it. It was as if the very sky no longer existed but instead was replaced by a sickening grey/black haze. The fine snow that was falling blanketed everything and every pony. I ordered my unit to put on their hazard suits with respirators as well we would not take these off for the remainder of the war.
Every place we now went through had signs posted that read things like (ALL HAIL THE N.L.R, or THE E.L.F IS NOMORE) also there was a strange new government system in place that was now putting Equestria under a new mandatory curfew making it hard for me and my unit to get around at night. This did not seem like the last war instead it seemed as though the E.L.F and the N.L.R were at war with each other and not with any pony in particular.
Twilight made it to the castle only to be turned away by all new guards wearing black with a moon patch on the shoulders of their uniforms. "That’s odd, what happened to the old guards" she thought to herself. She would have to look for a way into the castle if she wanted any information on this new government and what was now happening. She found a pony she knew in Canterlot who agreed to take her to the castle and gain access to it. "NAME, AND REASON FOR BEING HERE" a pony in black armor questioned. "TWILIGHT SPARKLE, AND IM HERE TO INQUIRE AS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING IN EQUESTRIA I AM ACTING UNDER THE ORDERS OF BOTH MAJOR READ AND PRINCESS CELESTIA AND YOU WILL LET ME IN" The pony at the door just looked at her in wide eyed disbelief at what had just happened stuttered a few words and opened the door. Upon entering the castle Twilight was greeted by a giant poster of Luna with the letters N.L.R and finally a meaning for them under the letters. The entire poster read like this. (ALL HAIL THE N.L.R, THE ONE TRUE REPUBLIC OF ALL EQUESTRIA, THE NEW LUNAR REPUBLIC.) Twilight nearly fell over at reading this and started for the door to get out but she was blocked by a guard. She pushed him out of the way and ran out of the castle towards Ponyville.
Meanwhile I and my unit were on our way to Appleloosa where we were going to meet up with some resistance ponies for extra support at Shattered Hoof Ridge. I had gotten hold of them back in Ponyville as they were preparing for an upcoming deployment. They happened to be some of the very same ponies we had met back 2 years ago as the resistance fighters of Las Pegasus. They were all too willing to help us out in our fight against the E.L.F and told us to meet them in Appleloosa.
They were wearing all white armor that had a patch with the sun on it and the letters N.C.E under it. I inquired as to what it meant and if it had anything to do with the N.L.R. They looked at me in shock as if I had just cursed their very souls to hell itself then the leader calling himself Kill Shot asked me what I knew of the N.L.R and if I was now a spy for Luna. I looked at him for a second and told him I knew nothing of the N.L.R and that I had only seen the posters and other Intel we had gotten from E.L.F radio. I then asked him if my suspicions about the E.L.F and the N.L.R were founded. What he told me next sent a chill down my spine. "Yup, you are right on the money major. Both the E.L.F and the N.L.R are indeed the same organization. We found this out in interrogating a prisoner we had captured in the first war and boy was his story hard to follow. As it turns out yes the E.L.F were their own forces to begin with but after the nuking of Manehatten they had lost almost half of their fighting force. One pony came to Canterlot to ask for an end to the war and to be granted immunity for any part she played in the war. Celestia was not going to have this and ordered the pony arrested and sentenced to death. Luna thought this was a bit harsh and talked to her sister. After the talk Celestia reversed the order and the pony was set free. Luna would meet with this pony from time to time gathering any information she could on the pony’s actions and when the time was right confronted her with a proposition. The proposition was this. Luna would supply the E.L.F with Intel, arms, ponies, and other essentials for war they would become the secret branch of the E.L.F. The beginnings of the N.L.R were in place and they were told not to reveal who they truly were until ordered by Luna herself. After the battle for Ponyville the leaders of the E.L.F were killed by you and your team ending the war and Luna’s contact. That’s right major; Trixie was the pony who had gone to Canterlot during the last few months of the war to ask for an end to it all. Turns out that Luna had tricked Trixie and led her into a trap, Ponyville"

our first real fight, our time in Bitter Creek, and my time with Ruby

Kill Shot’s words made me go weak at the knees. I thought back to the night I killed Trixie in the Ponyville town hall along with what she had yelled to me from there. “I WANT ALL THE POWER THERE IS TO HAVE. I AM NOW A POWERFUL WAR PONY AND I WILL RULE OVER THIS LAND” I thought long and hard on those words and the thought that came to my head made me want to throw up. "Could it be? Was Trixie actually looking for my help in Ponyville? If she was why did she take the mayor hostage and shoot me? Was Luna actually there watching this all take place? Was I a target that Luna wanted out of the way? Was Trixie actually trying to save her own life that night by shooting me?"
The thought made my head spin; she was following an order from the very one who sent her to her death. "CURSE YOU LUNA, YOU MANIPULATIVE BITCH. YOU HAD ME TAKE CARE OF YOUR OWN LOOSE END WHEN ALL SHE REALY WANTED WAS MY HELP!" I yelled into the night hoping in some small way Luna would hear it. Trixie was just a pawn in Luna’s ultimate goal. When she became no longer useful Luna cast her aside as a piece of trash along a road, the thoughts of that night along with Trixie's face of terror that night would creep into my dreams that whole night. One thought in particular would haunt me most though. The fact that as I had my 9mm aimed at her head she kept looking out the window as if looking for some shred of salvation from a trusted pony that never came to her aid in her time of need.
Gilda was in my opinion a pawn as well but Kill Shot told me after I woke up that Gilda had no clue as to Luna’s dealings with Trixie. This confused me, “why wouldn’t Trixie tell her second in command about her dealing with Luna?” The whole first war now made absolutely no since to me, was it all an Equestrian government conspiracy and if so how in Equestria did Celestia not sees it happening right under her own nose?
Kill Shot could see me thinking and he simply said this to me. "Look major, it makes no since to any of us. What makes since to any pony right now is that Celestia is in trouble. Shattered Hoof Ridge is in the middle of Neighvada. It is a secret installation built by Stable Tech for the N.L.R and we have to take it out. I’ll follow you anywhere you go; you proved your worth to me back in Las Pegasus during the first war so to me and my group you are like family, all of you. Now get some sleep we have a long march ahead of us and several other stops to make along the way"
We all woke up early in the morning. I having gone to bed just a few hours before thanks to the nightmares I was having woke up a bit on the crabby side. "WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE WAKEING ME UP AT THIS TIME YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!” I yelled at Kill Shot who simply looked at me and gave me a cup of coffee and a smoke. "Shut up and wake up major" he wasn’t rude, but laughing at me and my mane it was a mess and full of twigs and other things. "OH HA, HA", I laughed back at him; I got out of my makeshift bed and started to wake up my unit. We did a bit of pt with the resistance ponies to wake up a bit more and then were once again on our way.
Kill Shot told me we were a couple of days from the border of Manetana and a place he knew would supply us all with anything we would need to cross a now nuclear winterized desert. We had all but forgotten that we were indeed walking through a nuclear winter; it had become almost a constant thing with the exception of maybe one blue sky day since we had left Ponyville.
I thought back to the days before any of this was even an issue. Back to the days when I was at my base in Oatwahu, and soaking up the sun on an almost constant basis. I actually kind of missed the sun to be honest and wanted it to shine on me just once to see how it felt again.
My mind had plenty of time to race and wonder as we trotted along the roads when we could and the brush when needed. The new laws made it near impossible to move freely throughout the land and we would often find ourselves avoiding units of the N.L.R moving about from place to place throughout the land. "So this is what we have been reduced to huh? Having to keep to the side roads and ditches in our own land huh" I commented to Kill Shot who was obviously thinking the same thing. He simply looked at me and shrugged. "It beats the alternative major. Having to prove who we are and what we are really doing looking like a band of mercenaries and asking questions about things that could get a pony killed these days" At that thought I had to agree with him and simply lit a cigarette. "You want one Kill Shot?” I asked him. "Sure why not what don’t kill a pony makes him stronger isn’t that the saying" he said chuckling to himself.
We made it to the border of Manetana at about 1700; we thought it would be an easy crossing seeing as Manetana was in fact controlled by the resistance. However when we got to the actual border we got our first taste of combat. The battle was already going on in the distance and we could hear gunfire up ahead so I ordered my 4 Pegasus ponies into the air to fly over the fight. Next I told my mine clearing pony to clear any mines that may be along our path into Manetana. The resistance ponies went ahead to flank any pony escaping the fight to question them as they tried to escape. I took the rest of my unit into the thick of it guns blazing and my machine gun pony using the cover of the guard shack to lay down suppressive fire on the N.L.R unit. I told my heavy weapons ponies to hold back a bit so I could make sure they didn’t have to use rockets seeing as we had only enough for a couple of real fights. I instead told them to draw their m-4 rifles and follow me. I made my way around to the backs of the N.L.R ponies that were so focused on the resistance ponies that they didn’t even see me coming. Two shots rang out of nowhere, and 2 of the N.L.R ponies fell dead with holes in their heads. My sniper had found a great vantage point and was already at work. The resistance ponies of the nearby town were a bit surprised when they were joined by Kill Shot and his ponies who quickly made short work of the N.L.R unit.
"LEAVE HIM FOR ME!!" I heard Kill Shot yell. The N.L.R pony was cowering on the ground and frightened beyond all hell at what had just happened. He turned out to be the leader of the small unit and became our prisoner. I told my sniper to take up a position along with my machine gun pony; I wasn’t going to let this border fall, not on my watch.
The resistance ponies quickly gathered everything they could from the bodies of the N.L.R ponies then set to work on burning them. "WHEN YOU GET TO THE TOWN JUST DOWN THE ROAD YOU’LL UNDERSTAND WHY WE ARE BURNING THEM" The leader of the gate guard told me in a chilling voice that made my skin crawl. We made it to the town in about an hour. (WELCOME TO BITTER CREEK RANCH) The sign read in bold lettering. It was really more of a couple of burned out box cars from a long gone train and the burned out remains of what looked to me as if it was a once proud town in the middle of a giant field. I quickly understood just what Ruby, the resistance pony at the gate had told me.
We quickly were greeted by a sheriff who grabbed for the N.L.R pony; I quickly grabbed his hoof and told him that I had wanted to be there for his interrogation. The sheriff agreed. "After all major what you just did back there has made you some valuable friends" He extended a hoof and I gave him a hoof shake. We went to the Sherriff’s office where we put the N.L.R pony in a chair with a light on his face. "OK YOU, YOU’RE GOING TO TELL US EVERYTHING WE WANT TO KNOW OR WE WILL START TO BLOW OFF A LIMB FOR EVERY LIE." The pony was frightened beyond all hell and was crying like a foal. We removed the pony’s armor and to our shock and surprise she was just a filly, well a teenaged pony but a filly none the less. She didn’t even have a cutie mark. At this our approach to the situation changed. "Ok young filly, first and foremost what are you doing this young and in a terror group?” Her answer scared the fuck out of me. "THEY HAVE MY FAMILY; I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO JOIN THEM. WHEN THEY ENTERD MY TOWN THEY RAPED, AND KILLED EVERYPONY THAT STEPPED IN THEIR WAY. THEY WENT FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE LOOKING FOR INTEL ON THE MOVEMENTS OF CELESTIA'S FORCES. IF THEY GOT A LIE THEY WOULD KILL THEM. HOWEVER WITH THE TRUTH CAME INDUCTION INTO THE N.L.R. I HAD NO CHOICE. THEY THREATEND MY FAMILY; I TOOK THE ONLY PATH I COULD TO SAVE THEM. IN ALL REALITY I WISHED TO CELESTIA THAT I COULD FIGHT ALONG SIDE YOU AND YOUR UNIT” I was in shock as was every pony in the room. She quickly gave us all the Intel that she had and pleaded with me to allow her to fight alongside me and my unit. I sat wide eyed and in shock looking at the sheriff as if he somehow had an answer. "You may join us" Having an N.L.R uniform in our group would come in handy down the line and I knew it. The sheriff looked at me in disbelief and almost fell out of his chair. The town of Bitter Creek was not actually all that small as I had first thought. The reason being was simple. The town was backed into the side of a hill and they had dug in making use of the hill, they built a town inside it. I was in awe at the fact that the town itself took up most if not all of the hill. There was a back door at the back of the hill and there were huge steel doors that would close in the event of any type of bombing attack. "STABLE TECH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS. IT WAS THE TOWNS PONIES WHO WANTED TO AVOID THE RELENTLES BOMBING RUNS OF THE E.L.F IN THE FIRST WAR" The pony calling himself the mayor of bitter creek told me. "ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF. MY NAME IS DEAD EYE" "Hmmm, these resistance ponies have some scary names which are nothing like names in Ponyville" I thought to myself. Dead Eye took me on a tour through the town showing me just how amazing this place really was. "WE HAVE IT ALL HERE, A GENERAL STORE, A WEAPONS STORE, FOOD, ALONG WITH EVERYTHING A PONY IN THIS WASTELAND COULD EVER NEED" I looked around; my unit was already at work trading and buying goods for our next move.
Ruby the pony I had met at the gate after the gun fight was walking along side me by now. "So how long have you been in the military?" She asked me. "10 years, the first 7 of them were not that bad at all; I was stationed at Oatwahu and enjoyed every minute of it. Then came the 8th year the year of the first war I had ever seen and also the year I met my wife" "Oh your married, hmmm" Her once friendly attitude fading away she just walked by my side wanting to say something but not doing so. We simply walked along the road in the middle of the town. I had a feeling growing inside me and I just kept trying to fight it.
The town as it turned out had a saloon and I could really use a drink at the moment. Ruby seeing this took my hoof and led me into the bar. I didn’t even shake my hoof away from hers; instead I took her hoof and went in. Yes I was married but I still was a colt after all. Ruby could see my attitude changing and was talking to the bar pony. "HEY JOE, ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MY SAVIOR SO TO SPEAK. HIS NAME IS MAJOR READ AND HE SAVED THE GATE UNITS BACON IN A SMALL FIRE FIGHT THAT COULD HAVE KILLED US ALL" The bar pony looked at me and gave me a confident glance. "WELL THEN MAJOR, THE DRINKS ARE ON BITTER CREEK THEN ANY FRIEND AND SAVIOR OF RUBY IS A FRIEND IN MY BOOK” At that the whole bar ordered me a drink.
My unit was being led to the bar as well and the bar erupted in a roar of hoof stomps in celebration. Me and Ruby were starting to dance on the dance floor and we were just enjoying our time. It was almost like a party held by Pinkie Pie, but a bit more mature.
The night went on into early morning and the inevitable outcome of a drunken night with a filly and a colt. Ruby was a fun filly I had to admit, her for lack of a better word enthusiasm was astounding and she was actually a bit younger than I thought she really was. The night had been fun and enjoyable for the 2 of us and we had gone like 4 or 5 rounds. What could I say she was one of the most beautiful filly’s I had ever met and her eyes gave good reason for her name. I got a really close look at them during the night, they were crimson red.
I woke up next to her the next morning; she was already awake giving me a hoof job. "What a way to wake up" I thought to myself. I looked at her surveying every move she made her body was very fit and she seemed to be in really great shape. I startled her by moving in pleasure but she just kept going. I managed to get a hoof loose from her sitting on it and went to work on her clit. She moaned with delight and went faster on the hoof job.
A couple of hours later we both emerged from her house and were on our way to breakfast. What could I say? I was only a colt and she was gorgeous. I kissed her and we went on our way. The members of my unit already at breakfast all hooted and whooped when we trotted in holding hooves. Slightly embarrassed we both blushed a bit. "YEH, YEH YOU PONIES, LIKE YOU HAVENT HAD A GOOD NIGHT YOURSELVES" I mockingly scoffed at them. The colts in my unit were all toasting each other and the fillies were on their way to the little filly’s room, they quickly grabbed Ruby from my side I kissed her and she was gone.
I went to the table where my unit was eating and ordered some food. "TRY THE BACON YOUR GOING TO LOVE IT" so I did. I sat down at the table and our conversation quickly turned to our next move. "WELL WE CAN’T JUST SIT HERE IN BITTER CREEK AND ENJOY OURSELVES. SURE IT’S FUN BUT COME ON YOU PONIES WE HAVE A MISSION TO ACCOMPLISH” I said in a rather loud voice to cut the arguing. At that every pony in the bar looked at our table and started to move our way. "Great just how I want to spend my morning, in a fight" I thought to myself but to my surprise the ponies that were coming to our table were coming to offer their weapons and themselves. I now had more ponies at my side and it was an amazing feeling. We quickly got done eating our breakfast and were on our way through the town to gather supplies.
My mine clearing pony had learned that the town had some new tools to disable mines and he was on his way to gather them.
My sniper pony was on his way to the ammo shop to pick up some new armor piercing rounds and an all new ghillie suit seeing as his was starting to fall apart.
The other members of my unit were gathering other things including but not limited to food, healing potions, new chem. suits, and other essentials.
Dead Eye was walking by my side and he wished me good luck on our next move. He also being a snide asshole told me that his daughter had a great night last night. I wanted to vomit but he said that I had given his daughter a gift she desperately needed. Ruby cantered up to me and threw her hooves around me whispering in my ear. "Do you have time for a quick romp you sexy stud you?" I took her hoof and told my unit to just keep doing what they were doing and took ruby to her house.
Three hours later we both emerged hugging, and kissing. With that I had to give her one last kiss and quick clit rub, her eyes rolling back in her head. I now had a sizeable force consisting of several resistance ponies, the former N.L.R pony, and my unit. It looked impressive to every pony as we left the town of bitter creek in our dust, Ruby trotting along my side. Seeing as she was in fact a resistance pony she was permitted by her father to come with us. Besides it wasn’t as if she had any intent on leaving my side and she made that quite clear. She knew I was a married pony as did I and we both agreed that our time together would remain a secret. Having her beside me also made me feel like a school colt. She could see this and just kept looking at me with those amazing eyes, to which I could just chuckle and tell her to stop and that I had to keep my senses clear.
We marched all day and into the night but eventually we had to take a break. The young filly that was now with us wasn’t quite up to the way we were moving and she had fallen back a bit. "OK EVERY PONY WE ARE GOING TO BED DOWN FOR THE NIGHT. I WANT A PERIMITOR SET UP AROUND THE CAMP. GUARD SHIFTS WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH THE NIGHT. ANY PONY IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTENTION GO SEE RED HOOVES HE'L FIX YOU RIGHT UP"

The night went on without a hitch the shifts were changed every few hours and there was some music being played. Me and Ruby bedded down together and had our bit of fun before she had to take her shift. That night was some of the greatest sleep I had ever had the new filly that was with us was curled up at my side and Ruby wasn’t too concerned about this. She told me I could do anything I wanted and that she would always be there for me. So I did the only thing I could think to do and wrapped the filly in my hooves she was slightly shocked and surprised at this but when I started to gently kiss her she understood and started to kiss me as well. That’s as far as it would go, that night anyway. The new filly’s name was Harmony and she was a light grey pony with a black mane and light blue eyes.
I was the last to take a watch for the night and ruby kissed me as I took off for my position. There were giggles coming from my tent as I left. "Hmm" I thought to myself with a chuckle. "You naughty filly you” I thought to myself about ruby. The giggling stopped and turned to soft and deep moans from both Harmony, and Ruby. I simply lit a cigarette and went on to relieve the pony that was on watch.
The morning came fast and we all had gotten sleep that made us all very observant as to our surroundings. We had made camp in a rather large clearing in a field; it was actually a pretty place to be honest. The sun for once was just rising above the hills. I went to start waking every pony up and got to my tent to get just a couple of minutes of shut eye.
Harmony was wrapped in Ruby's hooves and had a hoof just below her clit as they slept. I couldn’t take it; I just started to play gently with Ruby. She stirred and smiled at me and moved the still sleeping filly aside for me to lay down with her. Harmony stirred awake and gave Ruby a weak and sappy smile. "Good morning dear care to join us in a quick romp?" Asked Ruby to Harmony, the grey filly looked at us both and gave a smile. "Are you sure I mean I don’t want to, " Harmony was cut off by ruby. "Of course sweetheart you’re more than welcome to right major" All I could say was eeeeeyup. With that harmony joined us both. It was a quick 3some but still a 3some I enjoyed Harmony’s sweet juices and her moaning turned me on to the point of wanting to explode into both of them. Ruby had her eyes in the back of her head as she was eaten out by Harmony. It was 2 hours before we came out of the tent to the cheers of every pony. "DMAN MAJOR YOUR QUITE THE PLAYER ARENT YOU?" I along with the fillies simply turned our backs and went to start on breakfast.
After breakfast all of us were starting to get our combat gear on and taking stock of everything we had. We all gotten done with what we were doing, and started on our march. The 2 fillies that I had saved always were at my side they seemed to be developing a relationship which was fine with me.
We were not going to stop anymore instead we just kept marching. I knew Harmony wasn’t used to such long marches but I had no choice. I wanted to be in or at least on the border of Neighvada in a few days.
As it turned out, having Harmony came in handy more often than not. She was our way around any and all N.L.R check points. She could flirt with the best of fillies and would often put on the charm to get around the blockades. Thanks to Harmony and her advice of not getting rid of the uniforms several of the resistance ponies that were with me had the uniforms in their saddle bags. Time and time again, not only Ruby would get through but the ponies in the N.L.R uniforms would get through as well. I felt a wicked smile form across my face as I thought of just how useful this would soon be.
It was 2 days before we finally we found ourselves on a hill overlooking Neighvada. "WE ARE WITH IN A DAYS MARCH TO IT. WE SHOULD PROBABLY REST A BIT" I heard kill Shot say to me. With hesitation I agreed, looking at my tired and weary company of ponies. "OK EVERY PONY REST BREAK; WE ARE GOING TO BED DOWN HERE FOR THE NIGHT. AS WITH ANY OTHER TIME WE REST WE ARE GOING TO TAKE SHIFTS. I DONT TRUST THIS PLACE SO ARM YOURSELVES AND SLEEP LIGHT” It was about 1700 by the time we had a camp set up and a decent perimeter around us. We all ate in shifts; it was going to be a long night so I ordered those that weren’t on guard to rest. I took the advice myself and got a quick catnap in before being interrupted by a whirlwind of noise and moaning. "Oh come on you 2 fillies do you realize that you both have guard duty coming up? I put you 2 on it together so you could enjoy the company" the 2 filly’s looked at me and got done romping and laid down next to me. I kissed them both and we all went to sleep.
It was a few hours later when we heard it. A noise no pony wanted to hear. Gun fire, it wasn’t too close and didn’t seem to be in our direction but it was enough to get every pony up. As I left the tent I saw just what was happening and my heart sank. "GREAT, JUST LUNA FUCKING GREAT" we were on the outside of a bombing range used by Luna’s air force.

fight for the neighvada state prison

The entire camp was moving about there and were several conversations going on around me. I had told every pony that we would attack at night seeing as it would give us the element of surprise. The day was spent by most taking baths and eating.
About an hour before sunset I sent a Pegasus pony to the prison to do a fly by and to gather any and all Intel he could get. He was back within an hour and had a lot of information as to any gun emplacements or guards. "They don’t really have any operational anti air weapons or any real outer towers. The way in is going to be the tough part though; they have a roadblock set up and are checking any and all ponies who are traveling that way. A silenced weapon attack will be best for this. Next comes getting into the prison itself. The place has huge steel doors that I’m sure you want to keep those intact. After the doors comes the control tower. I’m sure you want to keep that intact as well. Lucky for me the prison happened to be outside at the time I flew over and I could see a few ponies in uniform along with a pretty packed place full of ponies in jump suits"
I had the pony draw a diagram in the sand of the prison and was already giving orders as to where every pony was going to be for the attack.
It was now 2000 hours and we were all getting ready to deploy. Every pony knowing exactly what they were supposed to do. We made our way to the guard gate and made very quick work of it taking everything we could from them including the uniforms. I quickly made a change in plans and had some of the ponies put the uniforms on and to put the hoof cuffs on a few of us. We now had an easy way into the prison. I was in the uniform of the sergeant who had been at the gate; there had been 6 of them there. 6 of us were now on our way to the prison and to make good my words to Grey Hoof and to complete my first act as a mercenary.
The 6 of us made it to the prison an hour from the gate and were now in the gateway to it. I slipped out my mp-5 and made my way to the pony at the front desk. I unloaded my mp-5 into the office killing every pony in the tiny place. The rest of my unit was on their way to the control tower to take care of the security systems.
I had a note that Grey Hoof had handed me with the names of the ponies he wanted out of the prison. Looking through a computer screen through the massive list of names I found them all and gave the cell numbers to Kill Shot and sent him to look for them all.
I was on my way to the prison armory to see just what we had in store for us all in terms of ammo, weapons, and other supplies. I was confronted by a pony in armor coming from the same direction and quickly emptied a clip into the pony who died in a hail of gunfire.
"THE PRISON IS NOW OURS MAJOR. GO AHEAD AND RELEASE THEM ALL WE'L MOP UP HERE OK” The voice of Kill Shot rang from the speakers in the prison. I made my way to the control console that controlled all the prison doors and flipped it. In an instant we were all surrounded by prisoners, most looking at us with a confused look on their faces. I looked at them all and told them they were now free and to get out while they could. At that all the ponies in jump suits ran out the doors that were quickly shut behind them.
We now had a place that would work quite amazingly as a base of operations for us all. We hadn’t killed every pony in the place, I mean it wouldn’t have made since to kill medical pony’s, or food service ponies now would it. Quickly paying them all a decent wage that they all found to be a reasonable price the ponies all agreed to now serving us. We now had a medical unit, huge armory, food service, and a fully operational base to conduct any and all of our new adventures we would soon find ourselves on in this new and strange world we were now a part of.
So what does a now abandoned group of former military ponies who are now mercenaries do after taking over a prison and basically handing us all a new base of operations? We all got drunk, wasted, trashed, and almost stupid. It was quite a night and we had invited Captain Grey Hoof to the place along with the entire bar. The party soon just a blur of ponies doing some of the most deviant acts that a bunch of very intoxicated ponies could possibly do. I along with Harmony and Ruby were in the warden’s quarters and had made the place a wreck in our hot and passionate night of extreme pleasure.
The party to end all parties went on for 2 whole days and we had basically looted the whole prison of anything of value. I was now in charge of a new army all my own and I deserved it, all of it. Luna had fucked us all and in my opinion I could just trot up to her and shoot her point blank between those lying eyes of hers. In fact I actually thought about just cantering straight to Shattered Hoof Ridge and blowing the place to hell but what would that accomplish? "Absolutely nothing" I thought to myself.
After the party ended we all gave Grey Hoof some of what we had taken from the prison. After all he had given us the prison on a platter so it was the least we could do.

HARSH YES, BUT IT IS THE WAY THINGS ARE NOW IN THIS CRAZY MIXED UP WORLD WE ALL NOW MUST LIVE IN. I had both Harmony and Ruby wrapped in my hooves and was stroking both their manes.
About 2 hours later there was a voice ringing throughout the prison. "UHHHM MAJOR YOU MIGHT WANT TO COME TO THE FRONT GATE. BRING YOUR WEAPONS" Kill Shot had made the announcement from the control tower. I rolled over and got out of bed my mane was a complete mess and I had extreme dry mouth. I made my way through the prison telling every pony to be ready for anything. I made it to the front gate and my jaw dropped.
"RAINBOW DASH, NO BUCKING WAY! COME ON IN MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME. IT’S FINE KILL SHOT SHES A FRIEND OF MINE. YOU REMEMBER RAINBOW DASH DONT YOU?" "SWEET BUCKING CELESTIA LONG TIME NO SEE DASH HOW HAVE YOU BEEN?” The voice from the speakers said. The entire prison was now awake thanks to the sudden announcement of Rainbow Dash being here. Every pony was glad to see the blue Pegasus pony and they were all shaking her hoof. Her husband was with her and they both looked as though they had been hiking for days and were somewhat out of breath.
"We escaped Shattered Hoof Ridge after we found out just what Luna was up to we just couldn’t take it. I got the members of top wing back to Ponyville as fast as I could and we weren’t even missed. Luna has a huge army in that base major. It’s looking as if we are all are in for a massive civil war and to be honest I’d rather be on the winning side." she said to us. We were now on our way to the chow hall for breakfast and dash was now surrounded by ponies talking to her and her husband. We made it to the chow hall and the smell just overtook us all. It was the smell of eggs, bacon, and toast. Dash looked around at the inside of our new base of operations and smiling she said. "DAMN MAJOR, WHAT’D YOU DO TO GET YOURSELF SUCH SWEET DIGS" I gave a chuckle and told her what had happened since we all had left Ponyville.
I told her about our long march, our first battle, how we had come to be friends with a former N.L.R pony and other things. "DAMN MAJOR, YOU SURE HAVE MADE A NAME FOR YOURSELF HAVENT YOU? I MEAN BEING A MERCENARY NOW AND HAVEING TAKEN OVER A PRISON. YOU HAVE QUITE A REPUTATION NOW” I kind of did to be honest and I enjoyed it. I did make quite an impact in this new wasteland.
We all ate and chatted back and forth all the time watching the clock. I had a meeting with Grey Hoof who was now for lack of a better word, my boss. That’s right, having released the ponies for him made him realize that he now had a vast army at his disposal and he was all too willing to use us. I did however tell him that my ultimate goal in this new world was indeed to kill Luna and her army. He agreed with me with an evil grin on his face which almost made me want to throw up. The way he looked at me almost made it seem as though he may eventually betray us all. I had a sick feeling in my gut and just gave him a hoof shake. I now was a paid mercenary, no rank, no real reason to fight for anything anymore, but at the same time I was also on a mission.
I left the prison for the bar and my meeting with Grey Hoof. I invited Kill Shot to join me and he agreed to meet him with me. "I DONT TRUST THAT GREYHOOF MAJOR, IV GOT A REAL BAD FEELING THAT HES GOING TO LEAD US ALL INTO A TRAP” My ears perked up at this because I was thinking the very same damn thing and I didn’t want to say a thing to any pony. All that time Kill Shot had the same thought running through his head. I wanted to tell him I felt the same but it didn’t seem all that important at the moment.
We both made it to the bar and our usual seats. Grey Hoof was just trotting into the bar as we were. "MORNING MAJOR, HOW DID YOU SLEEP? HOPE GOOD, CUZ I NOW HAVE ANOTHER IMPORTANT MISSION FOR YOU. THIS ONE IS GOING TO TAKE YOU TO PONYVILLE, AND INVOLVES KILLING A TOP RANKING N.L.R PONY. I’D DO IT MYSELF BUT I HAVE OTHER THINGS TO TAKE CARE OF” He could see that both I and Kill Shot had concerned looks growing across our faces. "YOU DONT TRUST ME DO YOU? WELL THAT’S TOO BAD I SERVED WITH YOUR COMMANDER AT MANEHATTEN. HE TALKED NONSTOP ABOUT WHAT GREAT A SOLDIER YOU ARE. HE WAS A GREAT COMMANDER AND THE WAY HE TALKED ABOUT YOU MADE ME THINK THAT IF I EVER MET YOU I WOULD MAKE IT MY GOAL TO GIVE YOU WORK IF YOU EVER NEEDED IT" My jaw dropped open in shock; “this pony is actually here to help me” I thought to myself. Kill Shot had a look of shock and surprise also on his face. "WORKS FOR ME" said Kill Shot “and besides in this new fucked up world we all need something to do to keep our hides safe and fed”

YOU SEE WHEN I WAS IN MANEHATTEN WITH YOUR COMMANDER THIS PARTICULAR GENERAL MADE A NAME FOR HIM SELF, A RATHER SICK NAME. “My own bar and just for killing a general” The thought made me smile a bit. Kill Shot was already asking me if he could be the bar pony.
Grey Hoof shoved some photos in my direction and my heart felt as though it was going to leap out of my throat; it was as though some long hidden memory had come back to me. The pony in the picture was smiling in one of them revealing 2 gold teeth on the right side of his mouth. I sat in a somewhat shocked state for what must have been 5 minutes. "That pony,, he,,,,,he’s the one who killed my parents" I said in a somber tone. "My father kicked out 2 of his teeth that night before being killed with the shotgun the pony had" Grey Hoof and Kill Shot looked at me and asked me if I was sure about this. "WELL THEN AINT THAT FUCKED UP" said grey Hoof. I told him to keep his bar and that as long as every pony under me was able to get free drinks anytime they came in that that would be payment enough. Grey Hoof agreed and told me and Kill Shot that he had something to show us.
Grey Hoof took us behind the bar to a room with an elevator in it and we all got in. We went down for what seemed like forever until the door opened revealing 3 black armor clad ponies, one an earth pony, one a Pegasus, and the other being a unicorn. "ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE YOU TO WHAT THE N.L.R SECRET POLICE ARE WEARING” said Grey Hoof. "DONT WORRY, THEY WORK FOR ME; THEY ARE JUST SHOWING OFF THE ARMOR THAT THE N.L.R.S.P HAVE IN THEIR POSSESSION." He told us how he had come to find out about the armor and how before Manehatten had been nuked my commander ordered the city raided for any and all Intel on the once E.L.F forces. "WE UNCOVERD A SITE UNDER THE CITY THAT WAS BEING USED AS AN R.N.D LAB AND WE TOOK EVERYTHING WE COULD FROM THE PLACE" The armor was far better than anything the equestrian military had at all.
Grey Hoof also introduced us to the fact that magic just like a hoof print could be tracked to the user of it. "YOU SEE WHEN ONE USES ANY TYPE OF MAGIC A LITTLE BIT IS LEFT BEHIND ON WHATEVER IS BEING USED; THIS IS WHAT WE CALL MAGIC FILM. I ALONG WITH MY RESERCH TEAM DISCOVERED THIS BY ACCIDENT ONEDAY AND I JUST HAD TO FIND A WAY OF DEFEATING IT. YOU SEE THE N.L.R.S.P ARE NOW USEING TECHNOLOGY TO TRACE ANY HINT OF MAGIC TO IT’S USER AND ARE MAKEING SHORT WORK OF INVESTIGATIONS IN DOING SO. THIS DEVICE HOWEVER CAN MAKE THE MAGIC FILM VERTUALY NONEXISTANT” He demonstrated this perfectly by having both Kill Shot and I shoot a gun then he had the black armor clad ponies come and do a magic sweep. Sure enough traces of magic were detected and the display linked with the pony database in Equestria went to work on processing our magic signatures. The ponies got a positive readout on not just us but our entire background history.
"NOW TRY THIS ON" Grey Hoof instructed both of us. He put a fine mesh net around our horns and we were told to fire the same weapons after they were wiped clean of the previous attempts. Once again the ponies in armor swept the weapons for trace elements of magic film only to come up with nothing. Both me and Kill Shot looked at each other and were shocked. "I HAD DISCOVERD THIS QUITE BY ACCIDENT TO BE HONEST. I ALONG WITH A RESERCH PONY WERE SMOKEING A CIGERETTE ONE NIGHT WHEN I ASKED THE PONY IF MAGIC COULD BE TRACED JUST AS A HOOFPRINT OR D.N.A AND HE LOOKED AT ME AS IF I WAS A GENIOUS. HE QUICKLY SET TO WORK ON FINDING OUT WEATHER OR NOT OUR MAGIC EVEN HAD A SIGNATURE. TO DO THIS HE HAD ME TEST IT ON SEVERAL ITEMS. EACH TIME I USED MY MAGIC HE WOULD COLLECT THE SAMPLE ITEMS, AND ANALIZE THEM FOR ANY ABNORMALITYS. IT TOOK SEVERAL TRIES BEFORE HE BASICLY SQUEEEEEEEED IN DELIGHT AND TOLD ME HE HAD FOUND SOMETHING. NOW THAT WE KNEW THAT MAGIC LEFT A SIGNATURE WE HAD TO FIGURE OUT IF THERE WAS A WAY TO MASK IT OR MAKE IT NON EXISTANT. THIS CAME IN AN UNLIKELY WAY. WE HAD GONE UP TO THE BAR TO HAVE A DRINK FOR CELEBRATIVE PURPOSES AND HE HAD BROUGHT UP THE DEVICE USED TO DETECT MAGIC HE HAD MADE. I HAPPEND TO BE IN THE BACK DOOR TO THE BAR WHERE WE HAVE A BUG NET TO KEEP BUGS AND OTHER CRITTERS OUT OF THE KITCHEN. HE JUST SO HAPPEND TO BE WITH ME AND HE PASSED THE DECIVE OVER MY DISGARDED CIGERETTE BUT THIS TIME THE MACHINE THAT HAD MADE SO MUCH NOISE ON ALL OTHER TEST ITEMS MADE NO NOISE WHATSOEVER. JUST TO BE SURE I LIT ANOTHER AND SMOKED IT DOWN TO NOTHING AND THREW IT OUTSIDE OF THE NETTING HE PASSED THE DEVICE OVER IT AND IT BEEPED.

"WE WENT RIGHT BACK INTO THE LAB AND STARTED DOING SOME FITTINGS FOR HORN DEVICES. ONE THOUGHT WE HAD WAS TO SOMEHOW WRAP ALL OUR WEAPONS IN THE NETTING BUT THAT PROVED TO BE A JOKE AND THEY WERE USELES IN A FIREFIGHT DUE TO BEING WRAPPED IN NET. ANOTHER THOUGHT OF OURS WAS TO JUST WRAP ANYTHING WE WOULD USE IN EVERYDAY LIFE IN THE NETTING, AGAIN A DUMB THOUGHT. THEN THE PONY HAD A BREAKTHROUGH. HE HAD GOTTEN SOME OF THE NETTING CAUGHT ON HIS HORN AND ACCIDENTLY USED SOME MAGIC TO MOVE SOMETHING IN HIS CONFUSION. I WENT TO THE ITEM AND TO MY SHOCK IT DIDNT REGISTER ON THE DEVICE. WE HAD CRACKED IT. IT WAS OBVIOUS TO BE HONEST THE MESH BLOCKED THE FILM FORM BEING RELEASED ONTO WHAT WAS MAGICLY MOVED. THE RESERCH PONY HAD MADE THE OBSERVATION ALSO THAT ALONG WITH NOT LEAVING A TRACE THE MAGIC WAS MORE CONDENCED AND ACCURATLY CHANNLED AND HAD MUCH MORE FORCE THAN JUST HAVEING BEEN USED IN AN OPEN SPACE WHERE IT COULD DISAPATE OVER A GREAT DISTANCE. JUST TO BE SURE ON OUR THOUGHTS I HAD HIM USE HIS MAGIC OUTSIDE ALONG WITH ME. I HAD ON A PIECE OF THE MESH AND HE DID’NT. WE BOTH USED OUR MAGIC TO FORCEABLY MOVE SOMETHING A SMALL DISTANCE AND TO OUR SHOCK MY MAGIC NOT ONLY MOVED THE OBJECT A GREATER DISTANCE BUT AT A FASTER RATE AS WELL. WE WERE ON TO SOMETHING HUGE. UNFORTUNATELY SO WAS THE N.L.R THEY HAD COME ACROSS THE SAME THING AND WERE NOW STARTING TO TRACK MY RESISTANCE PONIES THROUGH MAGIC AFTER ATTACKS. I LOST SEVERAL CLOSE FRIENDS TO THEM"
He went on to show us several other new and useful things that he and his r.n.d team had come up with including improving upon the N.L.R secret police armor. He told us that your common earth pony can’t really handle a weapon and how hard it is for them to do so. So what he came up with was spring action weapons that came out of either the back or sides of the armor. He had the earth pony come out of her armor and try to hold a common rifle in her mouth and try to pull the trigger with her tongue which was the way most would do so. She missed every shot even being an expert shooter. Then he had her put the armor back on and try again. "GATLING GUN ACTIVATE, TARGET WATTER MELLON" the melon was shredded to pulp. "INTEGRADED TARGET AQUISITION SYSTEM, BASICLY POINT TELL, AND SHOOT, NOMORE HAVEING TO PULL THAT PESKY TRIGGER WITH HER TOUNGE. ALSO CHECK THIS OUT” He had the pony aim her Gatling gun at me and told the weapon to fire, "CAN NOT COMPLETE REQUEST FRIENDLY UNIT"
Next he had the Pegasus demonstrate the system designed for Pegasus ponies. He first had the pony take off into the air and released a ground target for him to fire at. Using the basic sights of an old rifle he had to line up the shot while at the same time had to look to his small heads up device for any and all info on where he was in the air. Then to top it off he had to lower his wing with the weapon on it into position to fire it. It took all of 5 to 8 minutes to acquire, target, aim, and fire the weapon. He hit the target yes, but it took forever. Next just as before he had the pony get into his armor and try again, this time the weapon came out from under the armor in the wing mount, auto aimed, and leveled the pony out using a counter balance in the other wing to make the shot level and accurate. 2 minutes and the target was acquired, the weapon leveled, and the target shot, several times might I add thanks to a built in reloading system.
Next was the unicorn. Same drill only this time something new was pulled out. First he had the pony go through the whole shooting, and killing a target, and all that. Then came a shock to both me and kill shot. "OK NOW I WANT YOU TO MOVE THAT TRAIN CAR USEING REGULAR EVERYDAY MAGIC OK" The pony though able to move the car was extremely tired after having done so and had only moved it a few feet. "OK NOW, TAKE A QUICK BREAK TO REGAIN YOUR STRENGTH THEN PUT THE ARMOR ON OK” After 15 to 20 minutes the pony was in her armor and was asked to try again. "HOLY FUCKING LUNA" was all I could get out as the car went racing over our heads for a hundred yards and came down with a crash. "I INTIGRADED THE MESH INTO THE HELMET AND FOUND THAT ONE COULD INCREASE THEIR MAGIC OUTPUT 100 FOLD JUST BY ADJUSTING THE ANGLES AND THE WAY THE MESH SITS WITH THE HORN. IF THE PONY FOCUSES ALL THEIR ENERGY ON WHAT THEY ARE DOING AT THE TIME THE PONY DOESNT WASTE NEAR THE ENERGY IT WOULD NORMALY TAKE”
Grey Hoof also showed us line of sight fire, a use for I.T.A.S that in a major situation would make quick work of any pony in the way of an escape. it allowed the pony using the I.T.A.S to disable the friendly unit warning voice and made all weapons fire at one time and to deploy either smoke grenades, or any other type of grenade to be deployed while all the time protecting the pony in the armor.
"THESE PONIES ARE NOW A PART OF YOUR COMPANY; THEY WILL TRAIN ONLY THOSE WHO SHOW THE MOST ABILITY TO CARRY SUCH A RESPONCIBILITY AS TO BE THE NEWLY CREATED N.C.E SPECIAL FORCES UNIT. USE THEM TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY’S AND THEY WILL PROVE THEIR WORTH 100 FOLD"
We were on our way up the elevator with the new armor and ponies with us. Grey Hoof had told us that the armor came fully operational and with a full lifetime supply of meds, healing potions, and the ability to somewhat repair itself but that if it became too damaged had to be repaired by a specially trained pony who had to be on the field with the armor at all times. He also gave us plenty of healing potions and a way to make our own form now on along with a hoof full of train tickets.

It was almost 1700 by the time our whole day was over and we made it to the gates of our base. I wanted to go to bed very badly for some reason and told the 2 fillies to just let me have the night to myself and they had no problem seeing as they could tell I had a lot on my mind. They both went to find Kill Shot and well for lack of better words, keep him company. I took a shower, ate, and made my rounds throughout the prison before going to bed for the night.

Every pony came in to see what the hell was going on only to find me hiding under my bunk from an all too forgotten pony.
Kill Shot told every pony to leave my room at once and came to my bunk trying to get me to come out. He knew all too well what I was making such a big deal about and told me that he would get the fillies for me. I told him that all I wanted was a drink to make it all go away. I spent the rest of the night on a quest to stay awake. I drank coffee, I smoked cigarettes, and even did some target practice. It all worked and in no time I found myself staring at the sun through the windows of the target range. I wasn’t sure if I ever wanted to sleep again in my life. those photos of the very same pony that had killed my parents, and the fact that he now was a general in the N.L.R and was allowed to continue such animalistic acts just was not going to stand with me.
After eating breakfast and my night of avoiding sleep I got the entire base together and told them I had a plan for this request from grey hoof. "OK EVERY PONY THIS IS MY PLAN OK. WE WILL GATHER AS MANY POLICE PONY UNIFORMS TOGEATHER AS WE CAN. KILL SHOT WILL LEAD THEM ONTO THE TRAIN NOW IN THE EVENT THAT ANY OF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY N.L.R PONIES DO NOT SHOOT THEM. INSTEAD TRY TO CONVINCE THEM TO SWITCH SIDES AND HAVE THEM JOIN US. BY FORCE IF YOU HAVE TO. ANY THAT REFUSE WILL BE THROWN FROM THE TRAIN AFTER BEING STRIPPED OF ANY AND ALL INTEL, WEAPONS, AND ARMOR. THE TRAIN WILL BE HERE TONIGHT AT 0:00 AND WE HAVE A DAY TO GATHER ALL WE CAN; AFTER THE TRAIN IS SECURE MY TEAM WILL BOARD IT OK. AFTER THE GENERAL IS KILLED I WILL SEND IN MY TEAM TO TAKE THE BODY. SEING AS I KNOW THE ENTIRE MEDICAL STAFF AT PONYVILLE HOSPITAL I WILL ACCOMPANY THE BODY THERE. ONCE THERE WE WILL STRIP IT OF ANY AND ALL INTEL, WEAPONS, AND ANYTHING ELSE. THE BODY WILL THEN BE PLACED ON THE TRAIN AND ONCE ON THE TRAIN WE WILL TOSS IT OFF OF THE ROOF ALONG THE WAY BACK HERE"
Every pony now had a role to play in this and we had only half a day to get ready for this before the train arrived. We gathered any and all police issued weapons and uniforms together that we had and set to work cleaning and polishing them to police standards. The 3 ponies that had the armor were busy getting the ponies that would wear the armor themselves used to the I.T.A.S systems and the weapons systems as well. My 4 personal Pegasus air guards were the ones that were going to wear the armor and quickly got the wing of it all. We were ready for action and every pony knew their role. By 1700 when we all met in the chow hall we were all chomping on the bit to get the job done.

We were all gathered on the train platform when it arrived right on time. "ALL ABOARD FOR PONYVILLE, MAKEING ONE STOP IN BITTER CREEK" the train conductor pony yelled from the engine. We all got on the train, all that is except for the security force I had left in charge of the base. They were busy loading things onto the train then gave us all a hoof salute. Traveling by train was so much better than having to march across the land. There were indeed a few N.L.R ponies on the train and to be honest they all started ripping off their uniforms when we all got on. Our reputation had gotten out and they gave up any and all Intel they had on the N.L.R and quickly joined us. There were 20 of them and now I had 20 new recruits for this mission. As it turned out they were part of an advanced guard team for the general, and had all sorts of information we would be able to put to use. The thing I didn’t get about the N.L.R was that anytime we encountered them it was always new recruits who were all too willing to switch sides and join us but I always was in the market for new recruits so I’d always take them in. I was now the commander of 2 companies and a base of operations all my own, co led by my second in command Kill Shot. Rainbow Dash and her husband had agreed to come with us with almost no hesitation and was an added bit of air cover for the train.

We all were getting a bit board to be honest and Ruby was in a hurry to get some things from her house. Every pony wanted a drink at the Bitter Creek Saloon; I wanted to talk to Dead Eye about some things also. Ruby as always wanted to have some time together with me and Harmony. It was 000 when the train picked us up at the prison and it was now going on 0500 when we arrived in Bitter Creek. The ride had only taken 5 hours, over what had taken almost a whole week long march to the same place. Yeh I was now in total assurance that we would now travel by train now in fact I went to the pony running the train and paid him a generous wage for the train to now be ours and he took the cash.

Every pony was already at the bar when we trotted in. Ruby was on one hoof of mine and Harmony on the other being led by Dead Eye. I introduced Harmony properly to Dead Eye seeing as the last time she had seen him he was about to have her killed for being an N.L.R pony. They hit it off fast and heavy and in no time were gone to his home. Me and Ruby left to just chuckle at it.
"So stud, are you ready for some fun in my bed for a change instead of that dank prison room of ours” I simply looked at her with a grin and in no time we were in full gear. Her moans of pleasure could be heard by all in the town or so I at least thought with a chuckle. At the same time Harmony and Dead Eye were in full gear as well. He enjoyed the sweet filly and she was such a lover, she was just up for anything Dead Eye had on his mind. I looked at the clock and had to stop Ruby form making me want to just take her for the rest of the week and make her the happiest filly in the world. It was 30 minutes until we had to be back at the train so we just wrapped things up. I told her we would continue on the train. We met up with Harmony, who was a sweaty disheveled mess and had the sappiest grin on her face along with Dead Eye. Then we all got back onto the train. "BYE DAD, IL SEE YOU WHEN I COME CACK INTO TOWN OK I LOVE YOU" she shouted out the window to Dead Eye. "BYE HANDSOMEI HOPE WE CAN DO IT AGAIN YOU SEXY STUD YOU" Harmony yelled to Dead Eye. We pulled out of Bitter Creek at exactly 0800 and were on our way to the one place in the trip where if an attack was going to happen it would happen there for sure, the Rocky Mountains that separated the eastern half of Equestria from the western half. The train rumbled along gaining altitude as it climbed the steep inclines of the winding track I sent all the Pegasus ponies into the air to scout for anything in the train's way and it went this way for 7 hours until we all thought we were going to go insane. This by far was the most boring thing I had ever been through in my entire life. The train was crawling along the inclines and it seemed to not even be moving at some points in time.
"UP AHEAD, THERE IS A PONY ON THE TRACKS. HE ISNT ALONE EVERY PONY I’LL FLY AHEAD TO GET A BETTER LOOK OK” The Pegasus flew straight ahead of the train as I made my way to the engine along with Kill Shot. My sniper was on the roof of the engine just in case. "OH GOODY, RAIDERS" I heard the conductor tell himself. "Raiders, who are they? Are they related to the N.L.R or are they just highway ponies trying to rob the train" I asked him. "Don’t think they have anything to do with the N.L.R but in this day and age who knows" he said back to me. "POP,POP,POP,POP,POP" they were shooting at the train, so in my opinion they were bad whoever they were. I ordered all windows shut and also told the all the armored Pegasus ponies to get into the air for air support. These ponies whoever they happened to be had picked the wrong train to mess with and I was going to show them the error of their ways.
"THERE ON THE ROOF OF THE MEAL CAR THERE ARE 2 OF THEM" The earth pony in armor went up to the roof to see what was going on and came face to face with a half scared out her mind pony with a shotgun levitated by magic. The pony quickly dropped the weapon and pleaded with the armored pony not to kill her. The train stopped all movement and I got out of it along with my entire traveling group. Needless to say any pony that was still holding a weapon dropped it at the sight of an entire train full of ponies in police, N.L.R, and N.C.E uniforms.
"OK, WHO THE FUCK DO YOU PONIES THINK YOU ARE!" I yelled at the group of now lined up ponies with their tails between their legs. The conductor got out of the train levitating an Uzi and pointed it at the frightened pony who we concluded was the leader of the rag tag band of ponies. "HOLD ON THERE SMOKY WE DON’T WISH TO KILL ANY OF THEM I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE AND WHY THEY ARE ATTACKING THE TRAIN" “W,,,, we are a small band of train robbers we really have no choice due to what has now happened to Equestria and the fact that Celestian currency is no longer accepted anywhere in Equestria. The new currency is the Lunar. If you have those you are considered a traitor in Ponyville and are arrested on sight. We fled Canterlot after the E.L.F finally revealed who and what they really were. Don’t kill us please, we are simply trying to get by and live. We have heard of you ponies and all we would really like is to join you that is if you’ll have us" I looked at Kill Shot and the rest the passengers on the train they had just attacked and left the choice up to all of them. "THEY ARE ONLY 10 STRONG BUT LOOK HOW THEY WORKED AS A TEAM TO BRING THE TRAIN TO A STOP. TO BE HONEST WE WOULDN’T MIND HAVEING THEM JOIN US” One pony spoke for the entire group it was Harmony.
At that Smoky holstered his Uzi, and climbed back into the engine. "ALL ABOARD WHOS COMEING ABOARD" yelled Smoky from the now restarted engine. We were once again on our way having just gained 10 new recruits. What could I say? I guess our reputation had preceded us and we had followers willing to follow us at the drop of a hat. To be honest it made me really happy to know that if we had ever ran into any trouble we had followers who would suddenly come out of the woodwork to help us out in a heartbeat.
Introductions were going on between the new ponies and every pony else. Harmony was making it known to them that it was her, and her alone that had spared their lives. "EVERY PONY WAS AGAINST IT BUT I CONVINCED THEM THAT YOU ALL WOULD COME IN HANDY. I SAW THE WAY YOU ALL WORKED TOGEATHER. THEREFORE YOU ARE NOW MY PERSONAL GAURD” They all nodded and agreed and just like that Harmony now had her very own personal unit. Ruby was looking at Harmony and her new personal guard with a smile on her face. Even though Ruby was in fact the commander so to speak she couldn’t argue with Harmony’s thought process as to the situation and she was in fact happy that it was Harmony that had stepped up and spared the lives of the now N.C.E ponies.
The train was still rumbling along the tracks when I suddenly realized that we were now on a downhill run. We had made it through the mountains and were now looking down at a now lit up Ponyville down the hill. Considering the stop that we were forced to take in the mountain pass had taken an hour and a half out of the trip we were almost still on time in Ponyville thanks to the downhill grade through the mountains we and made it into Ponyville at about 1700 just as every pony was getting off of work at Mare Mar.
We pulled into the once sleepy town under a huge banner that read the following in big bold lettering. (WARNING THIS TOWN IS AN N.L.R FREE TOWN. ANY PONY CAUGHT HAVEING ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE N.L.R WILL BE ARRESTED ON SIGHT AND IF IT IS IN DEED FOUND OUT THAT YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE N.L.R YOU WILL BE EXECUTED NO QUESTIONS ASKED. WELCOME TO PONYVILLE AND ENJOY YOUR STAY.) The mayor already knew about the train coming in and had already had a town meeting telling the ponies of the town that I did have some ponies in N.L.R uniforms coming with me but that they were already ponies they all knew and they were a part of my group. To which every pony in town all hoof stomped in delight at having their hero’s return.

The minute we all got off of the train we were swamped by almost every pony in town and I was instantly in the hooves of my wife who I had suddenly realized how much I missed her. Ruby, and Harmony were right there with me and Twi had a confused look on her face. "Oh, I’m sorry love, allow me to introduce you to both Ruby, and Harmony. I rescued Ruby and her gate guard from an N.L.R attack and Harmony was in fact one of those N.L.R ponies. She joined us seeing as she had no real choice seeing as the sheriff of the town wanted to execute her. I knew better than to have that happen and from that point on she has become a valued asset to all of us” “ALSO" I said now raising my voice to make this very well known. "ALSO FOR ANY PONY WHO HAS ANY INTENT ON HURTING ANY OF THE FORMER N.L.R PONIES IN MY UNIT. YOU LAY ONE HOOF ON THEM AND YOU WILL BE TRIED FOR WAR CRIMES” At this any pony who was trying to get near any of the ponies in N.L.R uniforms backed off in a hurry. "GOOD, NOW WE AREN’T GOING TO HAVE ANYMORE EPISODES LIKE THIS ARE WE” Every pony said no and shook their heads.
"Anyway Twi, I recruited every one of these N.L.R ponies you see here. Yes I have cheated on you with these 2 fillies and I hope to Celestia that you aren’t mad at me” Half expecting a face hoof from Twi, I got ready for it. "Don’t worry sweetheart I know you have had a lot on your plate, and to be honest I have too. You’re not the only one who can persuade a pony to join your side” She said as a black armor clad pony stepped beside her. "What can I say I do have my charms” She said to me with a hugely stupid grin on her face. I simply had to do it,,, I face hoofed, I did it, I actually face hoofed. At that Twi trotted to me and gave me a kiss. "Besides, I have always wondered what a filly tastes like and now I can find out" she said as she sauntered up to both Harmony and Ruby. Ruby gave Twi a very seductive look and Harmony did the same I face hoofed again. "OK,,, OK WHAT IS IT WITH THE SUDDEN ALMOST OBVIOUS LOVE BETWEEN FILLIES. I DONT GET IT ARENT US COLTS ANY GOOD OR IS IT SIMPLY THE FACT THAT A FILLY KNOWS WHAT A FILLY LIKES AND WANTS" I blurted it out I had tried to hold it in I really did. "OH MY FUCKING LUNA APPLES IM SCREWD OR AT LEAST I HOPE TO CELESTIA THAT, THAT WAS A DIENG THOUGHT AND THAT NOW I AM IN PONY HELL” The thought raced through my now empty mind. Every pony in the town was now looking at me and I felt as though I would be run out of the town with torches and an angry mob. Instead the subject was quickly changed to what had been going on in Ponyville and the fact that at the bridge there was an issue going on.
I told the town to stay at the station and my entire group went with me to the bridge. I trotted up to the gate guard who had a frightened pony at gunpoint and had it not been for me being there would have had a bullet in the skull now. "I’m sorry I got lost I don’t know where I am and I don’t know what happened to me, and where did this uniform come from, and who am I” Harmony ordered the bridge guard to in her own words, "leave the pony the fuck alone and if you touch her I’ll kill you” I joined her along with Kill Shot who had a puzzled look on his face. The pony had been beaten, and was bleeding between the flanks. Harmony had called for a medical pony to be brought to the bridge and explained just what had happened to her in her being forced to join the N.L.R.
"The N.L.R is a bunch of cowards. Well at least at first they are they come to a town and are timid at first but when they gain the trust of the place they change to animals. The leader of the raiding parties is in fact the very same pony that we have been ordered to kill, Blood Flank. Now you see why they call him Blood Flank don’t you major? Anyways if the fillies in the town agree to his sick requests they live and are made members of the N.L.R however if they refuse they are beaten almost to death and forced into the uniform. This is the work of a raiding party of his; it’s the calling card of Blood Flank's Raiders"
The bridge guard had a look of rage in his eyes when he spoke. “I KNOW WHO THIS IS; MY COLT PLAYS TENNIS WITH HER AT SCHOOL AND HER NAME IS LILY. SHE LIVES ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PONYVILLE. SWEET MERCEFUL CELESTIA I ALMOST KILLED HER” He had a burning look of pure hate in his eyes as Nurse Red Heart finally came to escort Lily to Ponyville General Hospital.
I ordered the bridge guard doubled and sent every pony in my Special Forces unit to different towns around Ponyville to hunt for the raiders. Rarity was told by the mayor to accompany Lily to the hospital and to keep her updated as to her condition throughout the night. We all made it back to the train station and had an immediate meeting.
"FROM NOW ON NO PONY IS TO BE OUT AND ABOUT IN OR AROUND PONYVILLE UNLES WITH ANOTHER PONY. MARES AND FILLIES ARE TO BE ESCORTED ANYWHERE THEY GO BY AN ARMED COLT OR STALLION OR TO AT LEAST HAVE SOME SORT OF WEAPON ON THEM AT ALL TIMES. After the impromptu meeting at the train station a lot of fillies went with Twilight to Mare Mar for some hoof to hoof training. I went with them to oversee it and Kill Shot went to town hall with the mayor. I told him he was in charge of her security while Rarity was with Lily. I hadn’t been on this base in a while and had somewhat lost my way around to be honest. Twi saw this and instead of laughing and making a joke of it led me to my office. The light came on and I was alone with my wife for the first time in what seemed like forever. We just held each other and she told me about the day she suddenly realized that this was much more than just another war but something evil.
"I WENT TO CANTERLOT CASTLE LIKE YOU TOLD ME TO ONLY TO BE DENIED ACCES TO IT BY SOME PONY IN ALL BALCK ARMOR WITH A PATCH OF THE MOON ON HIS SHOULDER. SHE WS IN SHOCK AND WANTED ME TO RUN AND CATCH UP TO YOU BUT BY THEN YOU WERE TOO FAR GONE FOR ME TO DO SO. SO I SIMPLY TOLD THE MAYOR NOT TO LET ANY PONY KNOW ABOUT IT. I FIGURED THAT WAY NO PONY COULD GET HURT ASKING QUESTIONS TO PONIES THEY DIDNT KNOW WHO WERE COMEING AND GOING IN THE TOWN. I TOLD THE OTHER 5 THOUGH AND THEY AGREED TO KEEP IT ALL A SECRET ALSO.
I KNEW OUR ONCE PEACEFUL WORLD WAS ABOUT TO COME TO AN END BUT I HAD NO CLUE AS TO HOW BAD IT WOULD BE. LUCKY FOR ME I HAD MADE AN IMPACT ON THAT SINGLE CASTLE GAURD AND IN NO TIME I HAD A WAY IN AND OUT ANYTIME I PLEASED. GRANTED IT WAS WEARING AN N.L.R UNIFORM BUT STILL, HAVE YOU FELT THE WAY THOSE THINGS JUST MOLD TO YOUR BODY SO PERFECTLY. ANYWAYS I DIGRESS SO NOW I AM ALLOWED IN THE CASTLE ANYTIME I WISH AND I HAVE FULL ACCESS TO IT ANYWHERE I WISH TO GO. IT PAYS TO HAVE THE CHARM OF A MARE OFCOURSE I CAN ALREADY SEE YOU KNOW THAT. NOW, ENOUGH BUISNES CHAT, I TOLD THE FILLIES THAT THE CLASS WOULD BE HELD TOMMOROW, OHHHH, AND I INVITED YOUR 2 FRIENDS TO THE OFFICE. GIRLS COME ON IN AND CLOSE THE DOOR AS YOU DO” Ok so first off my wife had become a semi spy, second she had access to the castle, and third she was a very naughty filly, who had invited 2 other very naughty fillies into my office with her. The 4some was epic; my sweet Celestia my Twi was an animal and enjoyed eating the 2 fillies out. The noise was so intense I thought we would wake up not just Ponyville, but Canterlot. As me Twi, Ruby, and Harmony enjoyed our night.
The other 5 ponies were now together as well. The outcome was both one of 2 things. In the case of Rarity and her husband, they went out to eat at a fancy place and then spent a relaxing evening at home with their daughter.
Applejack and her husband went apple bucking and then had a romantic candle lit dinner until they were interrupted by their filly as well.
Rainbow and her husband having been together this whole time just slept as was the case of Fluttershy and her husband.
Pinkie had already been reunited with her husband when dash ordered Top Wing back to Mare Mar, and they too were asleep strange as that sounds seeing as we all had just gotten into town.
As for me, well let’s just say I had quite a night until our daughter started to cry. The 2 fillies’ ruby and harmony were all over the poor kid and she liked it. They held her and got her to go back to sleep. It was then that I had a genius idea come to my head. We all went to sleep me Twi, Ruby, and Harmony together on the floor with my daughter in a stroller in the middle of us all.
Morning came slow but steady today and I was extremely relaxed and happy. I was once again home and in the hooves of the pony I loved along with being wrapped up in 2 other fillies at the moment who also had the same feelings and a daughter in the room as well but still with the one pony I loved more than the others.
Mare Mar was already busy thanks to Top Wing having come back. Dash and her husband were hard at work training a new class that they had left the 2 senior members of Top Wing to train. I was just looking forward to eating at the Sugar cube corner with all of my friends old and new.
Kill Shot met us at the bakery along with the mayor who joined us as well. "WHAT YOU DON’T LET US KNOW YOUR COMEING BACK? GEE WE FEEL SPECIAL" an all too familiar voice came from the doorway. I knew who exactly it was before any pony could say a word. It was Sweetie Belle and I could only assume Scootaloo along with Dinky. "HEY YOU FILLIES LONG TIME NO SEE HOW THE BUCK HAVE YOU ALL BEEN AND HOW IS THE INTEL GATHERING COMEING? I’D LIKE TO HAVE A SEAT WITH YOU WHEN WE GET BACK TO MARE MAR OK, BUT THAT’S WORK THIS IS FUN AND EATING TIME JOIN US YOU 3" The 3 fillies joined us and we all had an amazing breakfast and just sat for a couple of hours chatting. Twilight suddenly realized she had made the promise to put on a pony defense class for all the fillies of town and had to run. I sat with the mayor, Kill Shot, Dinky, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle for a bit longer until one of my black armor ponies came trotting into the bakery and told me he had some things to show me.
He told me that it would be best in the privacy of my office. I told him I’d meet him there in a bit and advised my 2 spy ponies to come to the meeting. We bid the mayor farewell along with Kill Shot. I told him that I would tell him anything he needed to know from the meeting when we got done and that the mayor was still a top priority to keep alive. He gave me a sappy grin and told me he knew that and that he enjoyed hanging out with the mayor. "Not that way you perverted pony" he chuckled at me. I simply nodded and went on my way to the base followed by Ruby, Harmony, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo.

We all met in a conference room joined by wire with the mayor, and the black armored pony told us what he had to. "OK SO I’M NOT TOO SURE WHAT THIS MEANS, BUT I CAME ACROSS THIS AS I WAS TROTTING ALONG A ROAD OUTSIDE OF TOWN." It was a single piece of paper with something that made my skin crawl at the words on it. (LONG LIVE THE E.L.F, THE N.L.R WILL FALL. AS WILL THE N.C.E, THE ONE TRUE POWER OF THE LAND WILL SOON REVEAL ITSELF TO ALL.) The paper had a date on it, and it happened to be 2 days ago. "THAT’S NOT ALL MAJOR; WE HAVE BEEN RECEVEING SUCH REPORTS HERE AND THERE. WE AREN’T SURE IF IT IS AN E.L.F UNIT THAT REFUSES TO DISBAND, AND IS NOW AT WAR WITH ALL OF US, OR IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE ON OUR SIDE, AND DONT WANT THE N.L.R TO KNOW IT. THEY DO COME OUT HERE AND THERE WITH VICTORIES OVER N.L.R UNITS, AND PROCLAIM THEM TO BE DONE IN THE NAME OF THE E.L.F, BUT THEN AGAIN WITH THE N.L.R.S.P.D BEING BASED OUT OF CANTERLOT IT MAY JUST BE THEM." I looked at the note, and remembered about magic film, and that Grey Hoof had given me my own magic detector. I ran the device over the paper, and to my shock, and horror it did register magic, but it was unable to detect from any pony. This led me to a very frightening possibility, the e.l.f may very well have known about this technology as well. I asked both of the counter Intel mares to continue to monitor any and all activity from the e.l.f radio station for any new clues as to what was now happening. If the e.l.f was indeed still around maybe I could meet with them and discuss having them join our side.
We all were still in the meeting when one of Luna’s lieutenant's came into the room demanding to know why I was back in Ponyville. "I AM HERE BECAUSE IT IS MY HOME; YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TALKING TO ME AS THOUGH I AM A LITTLE FOAL YOU ARROGANT BITCH!!!" The filly looked at me in wide eyed disbelief at this, and simply said "fine, but Luna will hear of this, and when she does you along with your pathetic group of misfits are done" under her breath. At this Scootaloo confronted the mare, and kicked her right in the chest leaving her gasping for air. I levitated my 9mm at the now breathless mare and gave her the only option she would ever get from me. "SEEING AS YOU ARE ON MY BASE, AND IN MY HOMETOWN YOU AREN’T ONE TO BE GIVEING ORDERS, IN FACT I THINK I SHOULD JUST SHOOT YOU RIGHT HERE AND NOW FOR JUST BEING AN ENEMY OF THE STATE, BUT I’LL GIVE YOU A CHOICE INSTEAD. The mare looked at me, and the now armed group of ponies in the small room, and realized that she didn’t have a chance in hell of getting a single shot off, and did the only thing she could. She joined us, along with the other lieutenant who had made the mistake of entering the room at the wrong time. I now had 2 new counter Intel ponies, best of all they were former n.l.r counter Intel, and they quickly started spilling all they knew, not just about what was going on with the e.l.f, but information as to where Princess Celestia may be at.

She looked at me puzzled for like 5 minutes, and finally spoke. AFTER GILDA WAS KILLED BY YOU THE GRIFFONS DECLAIRED THAT SALTLICK CITY BE OFF LIMITS TO PONIES, AND WE WERE ORDERD TO LEAVE THE CITY AND NEVER RETURN. HOWEVER AS HE WAS LEAVEING ONE OF THE LAST REMAINING INTEL PONIES IN SALTLICK CITY WAS GIVEN A NOTE, AND A NAME. THE NOTE SIMPLY TOLD THE PONY TO MEET WITH THE LEADER OF THE GRIFFONS EVERY NOW AND THEN, THE NAME HOWEVER WAS THE MOST IMPORTANT CLUE WE HAD, OR HAVE EVER GOTTEN FROM THE GRIFFONS AS TO WHAT WAS REALY GOING ON. SADLY THE PONY WAS KILLED BY THE N.L.R SECRET POLICE AS HE WAS ON HIS WAY TO A MEETING WITH THE GRIFFON ONE NIGHT.
I was now thoroughly confused beyond all hell, and my head hurt at just trying to think about any of this. The whole first war was a ploy to see what side every pony in the land was going to choose when the major war broke out in the future in my opinion. Well the sides were now chosen, and the war that was supposed to be the first war was now in full swing. We were now not only fighting the n.l.r but the e.l.f as well, the only problem was we had no clue as to who or what the e.l.f were at the moment, we had an idea, but no proof. I needed a cup of coffee and asked any pony if they too wanted one. They all said yes so we headed for the chow hall, along the way we all agreed that at least one of Celestias orders would be followed, and in a hoof shake the e.c.i.a was made an official branch of the n.c.e. As for the rest of the orders, I would hold onto the letter for safe keeping.
After we had our coffee and a smoke break I took the rest of the day off to hang out with Twilight. The newly formed e.c.i.a went into their offices to start decoding any new messages from either the n.l.r or the e.l.f. I told them to give any Intel to the black armored pony in the hallway, and for him to hoof deliver it to me. Other than that they were to dismiss themselves at 1700, and take some time to enjoy themselves, they deserved it after all. I asked Twilight if during any of her trips to the castle she had ever come across any information on a griffon named Scar and if she had what did she know. She told me that she hadn’t, but that if she ever did she would tell me about it. Ruby, and Harmony were training their newly formed unit in hoof to hoof combat, and basic weapons tactics when me and Twi trotted up to them, "Hey major, just training my new squad on some hoof to hoof tactics, and doing some weapons training here not much exciting going on so I figured I’d get some training in." Me and Twi asked if we could join in, and do some opfor training with them, and Ruby thought that was an awesome idea. Twi having been trained by me, and my squad was quite a shot to be honest, and she made quite a few kills, at the end of the exercise we had an a.a.r and went over what could be improved upon, and what went right. We got done with the after action review, and went to turn in the weapons to the armory. At 1700 the e.c.i.a was done with work, I along with Twi waited for them outside the office, and told them they were going out to eat with me and my friends tonight. They all squeed, and went to take showers, and change out of their work uniforms. We all met at a fancy restaurant along with the rest of the 6 best friends, and their families, "A TOAST TO SOME OF THE GREATEST FRIENDS, AND ALLIES TO EVER CALL EQUESTRIA HOME, AND TO LONG AND HAPPY LIVES TO US ALL." I made the toast as Kill Shot, and the entire group of ponies I was with joined us in the place. They all toasted back, and in no time at all the conversations turned away from work, and our mission to other more dinner worthy chat. We all needed this break from the mission, and my brain especially needed to unwind, and have a chance to go back to normal after making it hurt earlier trying to think about the e.l.f, n.l.r, griffons, and everything else. For now my mind was on my wife, and being with friends, and family. Kill Shot and the mayor were even with us, and they were just chatting up a storm, they seemed really happy with each other, and her family didn’t seem to mind it at all. It was a much deserved break, and in no time at all we were done with dinner, and trying to think of other things to do. None of us were tired, when all of a sudden there was a loud boom, followed by streamers, and confetti falling all around us. Pinkie had indeed planned a party for us, and this was it. I should have guessed that much seeing as she was the one who had sent the invites to dinner. Well we now were at a party, and a Pinkie Pie party at that. I missed these, and in no time was dancing with Twi, on the dance floor to live music by dj pon-3. Pinkie had gotten the dj to come out for the night just for us; needless to say she came out for free when she found out just what the event was for. She in fact squeeed at the opportunity to play live for all of us, and invited Octavia along as well, who also squeed at it. What could I say, I was in fact along with every pony that was allowed in the place that night in some way or another a savior of equestria, and this was our long overdue party to celebrate that.

The party went on into the night, I told every pony that there would be a day off of work the next day seeing as the parade was only a couple of days away. If any pony wanted to do any pt, or any kind of training tomorrow they were more than welcome to by all means, but it wouldn’t be mandatory to do so. At that every pony hoof stomped in delight, and the music went up an octave or 2, and the place got louder. As morning came some ponies were asleep on the dance floor, dj pon-3 was asleep on her turntable, Octavia had gone home with one of the members of my unit, which one I couldn’t tell you, but I knew that there were a few ponies that enjoyed classical music in my group and assumed it was one of them.
Me and Twi were 2 of the ponies asleep on the dance floor, and we didn’t care. The place hadn’t been destroyed and the owners had shut the place down for the day to allow us all to crash there for the day knowing that we would have all ended up all over Equestria as drunk as some of us were. They simply told me to lock the doors, and shut the drapes to the place after we got done with it. I nodded to them, and they took the day off from work leaving all of us to ourselves. Kill Shot and the mayor were still talking on the patio when morning came, they hadn’t gotten too drunk, and the mayor’s family was with them. Somehow I managed to avoid waking up Twi as I made my way to where they were, and joined them.
"SOME PARTY HUH KILLSHOT? PINKIE THROWS SOME OF THE CRAZIEST PARTYS EVER, AND THEY NEVER FAIL TO AMAZE ME." Kill Shot looked around at the place, and every pony sleeping where they happened to pass out, and gave a chuckle. "IV GOT TO HAND IT TO HER, SHE SURE IS A GREAT MORAL BOOST, AND SHE SURE KNOWS JUST WHAT EVERYPONY LIKES IN TERMS OF MUSIC, I MEAN TO HAVE LYRA, OCTAVIA, AND DJ PON-3 ALL IN ONE PLACE, THAT’S IMPRESSIVE EVEN TO ME. YOU KNOW WHAT, WE HAVE PLENTY OF ROOM AT OUR BASE IN NEIGHVADA FOR JUST ABOUT EVERYPONY HERE, AND THEY WOULD BE BETTER PROTECTED FROM THE INEVITABLE OUTCOME THAT IS GOING TO COME OUT OF ALL OF THIS. YOU KNOW IT AS DOES ANY PONY WITH US." I looked at him for a minute knowing that was what I was thinking as well, and not knowing how to go about talking about it to the town. He did have a valid point, I mean yes for now Ponyville was safe, but if the n.l.r really wanted to they could very easily over run the town in an instant and with really no fight at all. The 6 ponies of harmony had bounties on their heads in the first war, and now that Luna was in charge of almost all of Equestria, and had her secret police in almost every town, and city except for Manetana, and our base she could just barge in, and take over the place anytime she wanted to. I simply answered him truthfully,” I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN KILLSHOT, BUT THAT WOULD BE A HUGE ORDER SWALLOW, I MEAN THINK ABOUT APPLEJACK, THE MONUMENTS TO THE FALLEN FROM THE FIRST WAR, AND ALL THE PONIES WHO ONLY KNOW PONYVILLE AS HOME, IT WOULD BE A HARD TIME TRYING TO PERSWADE MOST IF NOT ALL THE TOWN THAT THIS WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. I MEAN YES THE MAYOR HAS THE POWER IN THE TOWN, BUT SHE CAN ORDER IT TO BE DONE, AND STILL PONIES WOULD STAY BEHIND DESPITE IT BEING FOR THEIR BEST INTERESTS. FOR NOW LET’S JUST DO WHAT WE CAN WHILE WE ARE HERE IN TOWN, AND TAKE EACH DAY AS IT COMES OK."
Kill Shot agreed with me as did the mayor, and we left it at that. I knew already that we weren’t going to be in Ponyville much longer anyway, and that I wanted to go to the remains of Manehatten, along with now Saltlick city. The thought of going to what remained of Manehatten made my stomach lurch, but I knew that if we were going to learn anything about what all of this was about Manehatten would be our answer to it all.
Kill Shot could see what I was thinking about, and said he would follow me into the depths of hell and back, if it meant finding out just what all of this was about. I thanked him, and lit up a cigarette "so 2 more days huh, I hope our plan works, I haven’t lost any pony yet in all of this, and I don’t plan on starting. If anything goes wrong I want every pony to know that my last order to them all is to disband, hide, and make sure the n.c.e lives, and gains strength. There would be no point in trying to fight them; it would get all of them killed. The final fight would be waged in the castle if it came down to it. I told Kill Shot also that if it had to come down to it he would order the castle to be brought down on Luna, and the n.l.r would be crushed once and for all. He looked at me, and agreed to all of this, and went to talk to the mayor some more.
The day went slow; we all slept and got all the rest we would need for the day before the general was to be killed. I went for a walk around Ponyville alone, when out of nowhere Grey Hoof appeared out of the Sugar cube corner. "SOME PARTY LASTNIGHT MAJOR, I HAD A BLAST. I WAS GOING TO TALK TO YOU DURING IT, BUT I SAW YOU WITH YOUR WIFE, AND JUST LEFT YOU ALONE. SO I SEE YOU HAVE A COMPLETE PLAN OF ACTION FOR THE GENERAL HUH? GOOD JOB, I KNEW I COULD COUNT ON YOU, AND YES I REMEMBER OUR ARRANGEMENT, YOUR BAND OF PONIES WILL BE SUPPLIED WITH ANYTHING YOU WILL NEED FOR ANYTHING, AND THE DRINKS AS WELL AS FOOD WILL BE ON THE HOUSE FOR THEM ALL. I SEE YOU HAVE SOME NEW RECRUITS AS WELL, NICE YOUR REPUTATION IS WIDELY KNOWEN THROUGOUT EQUESTRIA, AND I HAVE GOTTEN REQUESTS FROM SEVERAL GROUPS WONDERING IF YOU WOULD HELP THEM OUT WITH THINGS. ONE IN PARTICULAR CAUGHT MY EYE, AND I THOUGHT ID LET YOU KNOW ABOUT IT,” he gave me a note that read like this.

I looked at the note, and knew just who in my group would be perfect for this new mission. I invited Grey Hoof to come with me back to where every pony was still asleep, but he said he had to get to Canterlot, and he would see me there in a couple of days in Canterlot.

We all had our places to be, and we all knew what we were going to do on this day. I got every pony up at 0300, and we all got into our uniforms for the day. Kill Shot's group went to the bridge and to look for the ponies that would start the commotion on the side of the bridge the general would be on. My sniper was in full alert mode looking for any and all activity that would block or mess his shot up for any reason. Today’s shot would be the most important shot that he would ever take, and it all had to be perfect, the sunlight, the wind, the angle of the planet, and the round itself. I along with my team was getting into place as the sun came up. We all had to make sure everything was going to be right, and that nothing would go wrong. I had the black armored pony’s making their rounds, and getting to know the n.l.r.s.p positions for them to be taken out on the order I would give. I told every pony that I wanted no n.l.r deaths today except for the general, and that if it had to come down to it the n.l.r ponies in everyday uniforms would be shot with the rubber rounds they all had bought in Bitter Creek. The parade was to start at 1200 on the nose, and the precession would be at the bridge at around 1230, that’s when the ponies that would start the commotion that would put all of this into motion. Once the shot was taken, and the general was confirmed dead we would all gather at the Canterlot train station. The 6 ponies of harmony would join us on the train back to Neighvada. After we talked to the mayor about moving the town to our base she agreed, and the train would take any and all ponies who wished to join us at our base. Ponyville would become a hotbed of activity for the n.l.r, and would more than likely be overrun by them after the shot. With that likely hood it took no convincing the mayor to agree to allow the entire town to join us in Neighvada where they would be a lot safer than if they had stayed in Ponyville.
The time was now 1215, and we all were in position all we would have to do was to wait for the parade to make it to the bridge. As the parade got to the bridge the commotion started with 2 ponies’s arguing over a spot to watch it from, as the guard detail went to settle this they were cut off from the parade by ponies now on the bridge between them. The guard detail was now in absolute confusion and had no clue what was happening. That was until shots started being fired at them, it was Kill Shot and his group with the rubber bullets, as the guard detail was taken down with non lethal force the n.l.r.s.p showed up. Now it was time for my armored ponies to act, they surrounded the n.l.r armored ponies, and quickly got them to surrender. As soon as all guards were in our control I went to the general dressed in n.c.e armor, and as I got to him, "DO YOU REMEMBER ME YOU SICK SON OF A BITCH? HERE MAYBE YOUL REMEMBER THIS SCAR YOU LEFT ME AFTER KILLING MY PARENTS." He looked at me in shock, as I said to him these words "I TOLD YOU I WOULD SPEND THE REST OF MY LIFE HUNTING YOU DOWN DIDNT I?"
He looked as if he was about to have a heart attack as I levitated my 9mm between his eyes, and said the last words he would ever hear. "PAYBACK IS A BITCH ISN’T IT, NOW IM GOING TO KILL YOU." "BLAM,,,BLAM" at that the general was dead, any n.l.r guards that tried to make a move to the spot were taken out by my sniper. The sniper covered our escape to the train depot then made his escape out of the castle killing any pony that got in his way. As we all met at the train station we heard an alarm sounding in the background. As we got on the train I had the armored ponies guard the roof and the airspace over the train. I put one in the engine, and the other in the back of the train to discourage any and all attackers that were likely to be coming for us.
As the train pulled into Ponyville almost half the town was waiting for it, and had almost all they owned with them. Smoky called out of the engine "ANY PONY HEADED TO NEIGHVADA THIS TRIAN LEAVES IN AN HOUR, TICKETS ARENT REQUIRED, BUT MAJOR READ MUST VERIFY WHO YOU ARE BEFORE GETTING ON. AGAIN I LEAVE IN AN HOUR." The 6 ponies of harmony were already onboard the train with Kill Shot and his group of ponies, the mayor was with them as well as every foal, filly, and colt. Mrs. Cheerilee was onboard as well as the Cakes, Granny Smith, and several other ponies as well.
Top wing had been ordered to fly escort for the train, and they were on standby at Mare Mar, the base was basically empty now with the exception of a few ponies who were asked to stand guard to make sure the base wasn’t taken over. The new former n.l.r.s.p ponies that I now commanded were now willing to help us out and be new members of the n.c.e, and were ordered to stand watch at the gates as well as the bridge; if Ponyville was going to fall it would be over our dead bodies. As the last few ponies boarded the train we all got ready for a very interesting ride ahead. I had an advanced group of ponies make their way to the Rocky Mountains, and prepare for any attack the n.l.r would be planning to launch from there, and as we started to move the ponies in the mountains reported to me that no ponies had come yet, and the way was clear. We were in for a long and possibly exciting ride, every pony was on edge knowing that the n.c.e had just become a force to be mess with, and we all were ready for anything. As we pulled out of Ponyville i called Ruby over to me, and gave her the note that Grey Hoof had given me.
"HE’LL BE WAITING FOR YOU IN BITTER CREEK, I KNOW YOU ARE READY FOR A MISSION, AND TEAM ALL YOUR OWN, AND I TRUST YOU TO COME BACK ALIVE. WHEN WE PULL INTO BITTER CREEK I’LL HAVE EVERYPONY IN OUR GROUP GET OFF THE TRAIN, AND YOU CAN PUT YOUR TEAM OF MARECENARYS TOGEATHER OK." She looked at me with tears in her eyes, and looked at Harmony, her already second in command, and said to me "YOU DONT KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MEANS TO ME MAJOR, I AM HAPPY FIGHTING AT YOUR SIDE, BUT I KNOW THAT THIS MISSION CALLS FOR MARES, NOT COLTS I WILL MAKE YOU PROUD OF ME MAJOR, YOU CAN COUNT ON IT. HARMONY START GETTING ALL THE MARES TOGEATHER, WE ARE GETTING OFF IN BITTER CREEK."

I have been in the EQNG now for about 10 years; I have seen a lot and done a lot in my life. I have been married to my wife for 1 and half years now. I am a father to a wonderful filly who now keeps me extremely busy. I wake up every day at 5am and go to work at my post, Mare Mar airbase where I am a private. Yes I know it’s odd, seeing all I have been through in my career one would think I’d be a general by now. I am however in charge of a unit all my own, my unit is in fact the very same ponies I went into my very first combat with. Rainbow Dash is still in charge along with her husband of Top Wing, the flying class she created to take all her top flyers to the next level. Anyways enough of memory lane, and me getting all nostalgic.
I woke up as I always do in the library next to Twilight who was already stirring due to having a not so restful night. "Good morning sweetheart, how did you sleep" she asked me. I looked at her and kissed her before getting up. “I slept great, all except for Melody's crying that is" "yes she cried a lot last night didn’t she" said Twilight. I got to work putting on my pt outfit and making coffee for us both. As usual she got up with me; tired as she was she would always do this it was our routine as it had been since we were married. Besides today was a day to be celebrated and a day of remembrance for all Equestria, it was the anniversary of the end of the war against the E.L.F, and we all had things to take care of. Twilight along with the other 5 ponies of harmony were going to Canterlot for a meeting with Luna and Celestia, and all of Ponyville was getting things ready for the ceremony at the Ponyville cemetery. I kissed Twi and told her I’d see her on the base later today, with that I went out the door.
I made it to work at about 6am just as Dash was getting the base into formation for morning pt, "AT EASE" Dash yelled out as I sauntered up to her and asked if everything had gone ok throughout the night. "Yup all’s well, no pony is missing and they all seem well rested" "Thanks Dash, how’s your husband doing these days haven’t seen him in a bit" "He’s fine just a tad busy with a class and training as of late, our colts and fillies are going to put on quite a show today along with the Wonder Bolts" "That’s great I can’t wait to see it, and to see you do another Sonic Rain Boom" I told her. Mare Mar was a big base and home to some 1,000 ponies not including civilians and other workers that were used as support, and we would all do morning pt together as a base. It was just easier to do it this way than having separate units doing their own thing, and it built base moral. The Pegasus ponies would do ground pt with us, then Dash would work them in the sky while we ran and did other things. It was a great system and we all enjoyed it, however today was different. We had a new batch of fresh from basic ponies who had just gotten in a few days ago and they thought they knew it all. Me and Dash were getting done chatting when Dash yelled out to every pony "AT EASE" they all snapped to and faced forward. I being like her second in command went to all the company commanders and did a quick check on the formations before handing control over to Dash whose husband was sauntering up to her. He had on his flight gear and was leading his elite class of flyers onto the runway for drills. I had nothing to do with Top Wing, it was its own thing all together so I just let him do what he was doing as Dash went to hug and kiss him. "OK EVERY PONY TODAY IS A SPECIAL DAY AND A BIG ONE FOR ALL OF US. LETS HAVE FUN DURING PT AND MAKE IT COUNT” I addressed the base. One pony out of the entire base said one thing. "WHY SHOULD ANY OF US LISTEN TO YOU, YOU’RE JUST A PRIVATE JUST LIKE ME" Before Dash could say a word I was in the pony’s face. "EXCUSE ME PRIVATE, DID YOU SAY SOMETHING, IM NOT POSITIVE BUT I THINK I HEARD A VOICE COME FROM THIS DIRECTION ASKING ONE OF THE DUMBEST QUESTIONS I HAVE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE" The young pony looked at me in shock at being yelled at by a fellow private "HMMM PERHAPS YOUR NOT AWARE OF THE FACT THAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO SALUTE A PONY WITH THE EQUESTRAIN MEDAL OF HONOR, AND A HIGHLY DECORATED COMBAT VET" The poor pony looked like he was about to have a mental breakdown, and I felt a bit sorry for him, but couldn’t show it. I couldn’t very well let him get away with that comment and wanted to show every pony just who I was and what my place was on the base. After all of this I just told him that I was a highly decorated war hero who had been wounded several times in the battle for Ponyville including losing my right front leg and being shot 2 times one by a sniper, and the other by Trixie. He apologized for his comment and it was over.
We all did pt together and went on doing our own things. The 2 CMC that remained out of the original 3 were now a part of my unit and were part of the anti E.L.F counter Intel unit collecting all they could for all of us. They also were a very cool couple of fillies to have in my unit. Scootaloo could now fly and was now a member of a class of Top Wing. Sweetie Belle was also able to use her magic as well. After pt every pony went out to eat. Normally we would all eat at the chow hall, but today both I and Dash dismissed the entire base to eat anywhere they wanted to and to have some time with family before all the services began. I and Dash both went to the Sugar Cube Corner for a treat from our favorite place to eat. "Good morning Mr. and Mrs. Cake how are you doing today" I asked. "Oh hey Pvt Read were ok, just getting ready for today along with having Pinkie babysit the twins today for a bit" I went to look for Pinkie knowing that our daughter was also there with her. "There you are Pinkie" I said to the pink pony. Pinkie was now herself all be it a bit sore from time to time having been shot by a small caliber round in the flank but she was still the same Pinkie we all knew and loved and she would babysit for every pony now seeing as almost every pony had things to do on this day. "Hey Pvt Read how are you today? Your daughter is asleep right now. Twi just dropped her off like 3 hours ago" "Did Twi say anything to you like where we are all meeting for lunch or if we even are seeing as your hooves are full at the moment" I said to her. "Yeh, we are still meeting silly colt, why wouldn’t we? Aj is putting the final touches on the farm along with her new dog and Granny Smith. Rarity is busy in her boutique with orders from Canterlot and Fluttershy and her husband are at work at the hospital. Fluttershy said she’ll be there for sure. Oh and we are meeting in Canterlot by the way" Dash joined me and the pink pony, and the cakes for breakfast when a young mare wearing a postal uniform came into the bakery. It was Dinky Hooves, Derpy's daughter who had taken her mother’s place not only in the Equestrian Postal Service but the military postal service as well. We would all eat together from time to time and Dinky became like a second daughter to me and Twilight. Dinky was now a beautiful mare if only a teen, but still a great replacement for her mother. She had the ability to use magic seeing as she was a unicorn, and this often would come in handy to keep her from being bit by any dogs or hit by things thrown at her by some ponies who didn’t like her and her mom. "So Dinky what are you up to these days and how is school going for you" I asked her. "Oh same as usual just looking forward to seeing the princesses again, and being able to lay some flowers on my mom’s grave along with replacing that old tattered flag on her stone” I looked at her and almost forgot that I had the replacement flag she was talking about and handed it to her telling her I would see her later in the day and that I had to get to the base and meet with Twi.

We marched our way around the bombing range and it had taken all night and we came to a clearing in a field, this would do nicely.
I sent one of my Pegasus ponies into the air to check the sky above to see whether or not we could be seen from the air. We were safe "OK EVERY PONY WE ARE GOING TO TAKE THE DAY OFF YOU ALL DESERVE IT AND SEEING AS WE ARE SAFE FROM ANY AIR SIGHT OR ANY LAND ASSAULT. THE GAURD SHIFTS WILL ONLY BE 2 HOURS AND BE SPLIT BETWEEN 2 PONIES" We quickly got our camp put up and every pony set to work doing different things. Ruby and Harmony were already in a hammock they had made from a wagon cover. The 2 fillies were swinging in the wind and giggling. I went to the nearby stream where several ponies were either fishing or bathing. In no time there was plenty of fish to be eaten by every pony and we all had a decent meal.
The day went on really slow to be honest and that was perfectly fine with every pony. It was our first real day off other than our time in Bitter Creek. Looking over a hill I saw in the distance a building. "That’s the Shattered Hoof Saloon" I heard Kill Shot tell me. “If you want we could give the ponies the time fully off to enjoy some free time” I thought about this and looked around at the camp. "COMPANY, ATTENTION!!" the camp suddenly snapped to full and immediate attention. Every pony looked at me in wide eyed shock I just smiled and told them all that guard duty was now limited to those who had the urge to take it and that the camp was dismissed to enjoy the day and to all be back at 2300. There was a loud roar from the camp followed by a stampede of ponies.
I looked at Kill Shot with a grin on my face; he just chuckled and followed me into the bar. The place was actually quite a nice bar and there were signs posted throughout the place stating the fact that N.L.R ponies were not welcome and would be shot on sight.
Kill Shot was already gathering information on the movements of the N.L.R and looking for recruits for our force. Kill Shot was talking to a rather large and scary looking pony and brought him over to my table. "NICE TO MEET YALL IM CAPTAIN GREY HOOF OF THE N.C.E" "N.C.E what does that stand for?" I asked. "WHY THE NEW CELESTIAN EMPIRE MY FRIEND" Grey Hoof told me. I didn’t quite get this, but it was soon made bitterly clear. There was a message playing over a small radio.
*ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS OF THE EQUESTRIAN MILITARY*
ALL UNITS THAT REMAIN OF THE EQNG HAVE ALL BEEN ORDERD DISBANDED. BY ORDER OF PRINCESS LUNA ALL UNITS ARE TO MAKE THEIR WAY TO SHATTERD HOOF RIDGE FOR A NEW ASSIGNMENT. REPEAT, ALL UNITS OF THE EQNG HAVE BEEN ORDERD DISBANDED.
I was in utter shock and disbelief at this. The message replayed itself over and over. "THE N.L.R HAS TAKEN OVER ALMOST EVERY TOWN AND CITY IN EQUESTRIA AND THE INTERNAL WORKINGS OF THE OLD CELESTIAN GOVERNMENT ARE SLOWLY BEING DISMANTLED. ITS BEGINING TO LOOK AS THOUGH ALL OF EQUESTRIA IS NOW IN STORE FOR A MAJOR CIVIL WAR AND WE ARE ALL NOW CAUGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT. GET READY IT’S SOON GOING TO GET NASTY IN EQUESTRIA" Grey Hoof told me. "NOW I HAVE A TASK FOR YOU AND YOUR UNIT. THERE IS A PRISON IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT. I KNOW SEVERAL OF THE PONIES IN THERE AND TO BE HONEST I WANT THEM OUT. IT WOULD BE TO YOUR ADVANTAGE AND ANYTHING YOU HAPPEN TO FIND WILL BE ALL YOURS. BESIDES YOU’RE NOW A MERCENARY GROUP AND YOU WILL NEED A WAY TO NOW SURVIVE” I couldn’t believe what I was going to say next, but I actually agreed with Grey Hoof. He told me that the prison was barely guarded, but not by the N.L.R. Instead it belonged to the state and was of no interest to the N.L.R.
I looked at Kill Shot and he nodded at me "I’LL GET THE GROUP READY. GREY HOOF HAS A GREAT AND VALID POINT WE WOULD HAVE AN ACTUAL PLACE TO CALL A SOMEWHAT HOME AND IT WOULD BE A GREAT DEFENCEABLE POSITION." "I,, I HAD’NT THOUGHT OF THAT THERE KILL SHOT. THAT IS A REALY VALID POINT AND WE REALLY CAN USE A PLACE TO CALL A SOMEWHAT HOME”
Needless to say every pony was drunk and in no condition to pull off such a raid. I however was able to get them all back to the camp and to sleep. I along with Harmony and Ruby were the only ponies on guard that night. The 2 of them had not been at the bar but instead spent the whole day relaxing in the hammock they had made. The night went on forever and got quite boring to be honest. I had wanted to enjoy some fun with the 2 filly’s but had to be on watch seeing as the entire camp was passed out drunk. Ruby and Harmony were both on separate sides of the camp gently moving along the edges of the camp.
Morning came slow and lazily and no pony felt all that great. Coffee was being made and every pony was slowly waking up. It was about noon by the time every pony felt even the slightest bit of sober. I told every pony about what Grey Hoof had told me the night before; they all looked at me in shock and disbelief. The camp erupted in a conglomeration of whining and complaints. "OK EVERY PONY LOOK WE NEVER ASKED FOR THIS BUT WE ALL MUST DEAL WITH THE CARDS WE ARE DELT IN LIFE. I REALLY THINK IT’S A GOOD IDEA. THINK ABOUT IT OUR VERY OWN PLACE TO CALL A BASE OF OPERATIONS AND BESIDES IT HAS A CHOWHALL” At that thought every pony came to agreement.

I made it back to the cafe after the meeting with Grey Hoof, and told Kill Shot about the meeting. "HMMM, SEEMS TO ME LIKE HE MAY HAVE A DIFFERENT AGENDA FOR ALL OF US. ITS NOT THAT I DONT TRUST HIM, BUT COME ON YOU HAVE TO AGREE THAT HE SHOWS UP ONLY WHEN HE WANTS SOMETHING DONE, YES I DO UNDERSTAND THAT WE ARE NOW MERCENARIES, AND THAT MERCS HAVE NO REAL BOSS, BUT COME ON ARE YOU REALY GOING TO SEND RUBY, ONE OF YOUR MOST TRUSTED AND LOYAL MARES ON THIS MISSION ALONE. I HOPE NOT, AND I HOPE YOU DONT SEND ANY PONY ANYWHERE BEFORE THIS MISSION IS COMPLETE, YOU KNOW HOW SHE IS AND HOW SHE FEELS ABOUT THE RAIDERS. IF YOU GIVE HER THAT NOTE TODAY YOU WONT SEE HER UNTILL SHE HAS EITHER KILLED EVERY RAIDER SHE COMES ACROSS, OR DIES IN THE PROCESS OF DOING SO. BESIDES WE HAVE ONLY A FEW REAL HOURS TO GET EVERYTHING TOGEATHER BEFORE WE ARE TO LEAVE FOR CANTERLOT, AND WE NEED EVERY PONY FOCUSED ON THIS SO NOTHING GOES WRONG." He had an absolute point, I did know Ruby, and the way she felt about the raiders, and that she indeed would die trying to kill them all. I put the note in my saddle bag, and told myself that after the mission I would give her the message.
We were scheduled to board the train at 1700 today, and pull into Canterlot at about 1900. From there we were going to sleep until 0500. Once we were all awake we had a day to make sure everything would work for what we had planned. On the train we all pooled any Intel any of us had, and made a rough plan up. The ponies in the armor would make their way to the castle and start gathering any and all Intel on the parade route. My sniper would go with them in an n.l.r uniform disguised as a sniper assigned to protect the castle and the general, he would then be directed to the perfect spot to take his shot. The rest of the ponies in n.l.r uniforms would make their ways throughout the city looking for any and all ponies willing to make the scene we needed to stop the parade in its tracks. Twilight would gain entry to the castle and try to look for any information on just what had happened in the first war, and just who this Scar was. If anything were to go wrong the armored ponies were to disable the i.t.a.s friendly unit indicators, and to just take out any and all ponies around them hopefully killing the general in the process. This would only be put into place if anything went really wrong, and we had no other choice.
Like clockwork we pulled into Canterlot at exactly 1900, and quickly set to work on finding a place to rest until 0500. We found a place that was willing to keep us for the night, and I told the ponies in the armor that they would be standing guard through the night up until 0300, at which time I would take the last shift and wake every pony up. The ponies agreed, and saw no problem in having to pull guard shifts seeing as we were now in n.l.r run territory, and if we were found out we would all be executed on sight along with the home owners.
The night went slow for some, and fast for others, but as for me it was just another night. I spent it talking to the homeowners, and found out that they were in fact resistance ponies, and that the house was a safe house for any pony wanting to get out of Canterlot. I thanked them for the help and that if they ever needed anything to just let me know. 0300 rolled around soon enough, and I relieved the last guard so he could get a couple of hours of sleep. No matter the circumstances, or what happened to be going on at the time, I would always make sure my ponies got as much rest as they would need for anything they ever had to encounter, and tonight was no different, me hell I could have stayed awake for a year with as much crap as I had in my head. Between the first war not making any since to me whatsoever, the fact that the e.l.f had some members who were still active, who the fuck Scar was, and just what was going to happen to any and all of us. I put on my n.l.r uniform, and put an ak-47 in my saddle holster, the same weapon any of the uniformed n.l.r ponies I had seen were using. I figured that if I was going to look the part I may as well have the same weapon as them for the time being.
0500 rolled around actually pretty slow to be honest, I mean considering I had so much on my mind I thought it was going to come quick, but by the time I looked at my clock thinking it was in fact 0500 it was actually only 0345. I wanted to get this day started, and to get out of Canterlot as fast as I could, and with every pony I had with me alive. In no time at all 0500 came, and I set to work waking every pony up, and getting coffee started along with the home owners, we ate fast and in no time were ready to face the day. Twilight went on her way to the castle along with the castle unit, Kill Shot and his element went on their way, and the armored ponies went their way this was the make it or break it day, if anything seemed out of place, or didn’t seem right we would scrap the entire mission. I had already told Grey Hoof this, and he agreed saying that it wouldn’t be worth getting any of my ponies killed for no reason.
Twilight along with the ponies she was with all made it to the castle, and were let in with no questions asked. My sniper was directed to the place he would be located and was allowed to set it up anyway he felt right. Twilight went to the Canterlot archives, and set to work gathering any and all information on what I needed to know. Kill Shot along with several other ponies went into the city to look for any pony willing to help us put on a scene in front of the parade to stop it, and had a lot of recruits in a short time, and set to work on finding out the perfect place for it all to take place. I went to talk to Grey Hoof who was at a day spa and being given a hooficure, and talked to him about how to go about setting up this next mission. "I’LL TALK TO HER FOR YOU OK, JUST TELL HER THAT YOU HAVE SOMEPONY FOR HER TO MEET. YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO THAT SHE IS MORE THAN READY FOR A MISSION ALL HER OWN, AND SHE HAS A SIZEABLE SQUAD TO PROTECT HER, SHE WILL BE FINE TRUST ME. BESIDES IT’S NOT LIKE A BAND OF MARES WOULD ALLOW A COLT ANYWHERE NEAR THEM AFTER ALL THEY HAVE BEEN THROUGH, THINK ABOUT IT." "DAMN IT TO HELL, HE’S RIGHT, OH WELL I KNOW SHE IS ITCHING TO SEE SOME ACTION ALL HER OWN, AND IT WOULDNT BE RIGHT NOT TELLING HER ABOUT THIS, SEEING AS SHE HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH THE RAIDERS ON HER OWN, AND WITH NO HELP. OK I’LL SHOW HER THE LETTER AFTER THE MISSION IS COMPLETED; RIGHT NOW I NEED HER FULL ATTENTION." Grey Hoof knew what I was thinking, and simply nodded his head and agreed.
The meeting was now over, and I left Grey Hoof to his pampering, and went to the safe house to wait for my ponies to return from their respective assignments. It was about 1400 when Twilight arrived with her saddle bags full of paperwork, and was followed by every pony else she was with. The sniper had been asked to stay behind and set his position up for his detail. "DAMN THATS GOING TO BE ALOT OF READING, WELL TIME TO START ON IT" I said to every pony. Twilight told me that she had already gone through it, and knew basically what it all was. "You may want to sit for this dear; it’s a lot to take in. Ok first off Gilda knew everything, she, not Luna sent Trixie to her death in Ponyville she knew you too well, and used that to her advantage. She knew that you didn’t want to let Trixie live due to all the death and destruction that the e.l.f were responsible for causing throughout the land. She knew that you wouldn’t have listened to her even if she were to talk to her about being betrayed by Luna that you would want nothing to do with it, and kill her on sight. Yes Luna did know of this, but as far as any records show she wasn’t anywhere near Ponyville at the time, granted these documents could all be doctored to make it look as though Luna was a saint who had nothing to do whatsoever with Trixies death. If that is the case then it means that the e.l.f would have a reason to hate the griffons, and vice versa for the griffons. Sounds as though some pony had a hoof in all of this, and would stand from either us winning, or the e.l.f either way some pony stood to gain a lot from all of this, to be honest that a long list of suspects.
Luna stood to gain a new position in the castle as the new ruler of Equestria in the event of her sister’s death, or capture. All of Ponyville stood to gain the honor of being the new capital of Equestria, and having the power structure shift to the mayor who would in fact be the next in line of power if the 2 sisters were killed, or captured. Gilda who already had a reason to hate all of us stood to gain the very town she despised, and do Celestia knows what with it. Scar stood to gain nothing from what I have read so far, yes the eqng killed his family, but after that he went underground. He was really never heard from at all except for an appearance at Canterlot castle to figure out why the pony he had given a note to see him never did. After learning that he had been killed Scar left Canterlot in a hurry and hasn’t been seen since then. All in all we really have a bunch of suspects, but no real leads as to what any pony stood to gain from any of this happening. Heck I even looked into Stable Tech to find any evidence of secret projects anywhere. That is the only red tape I encountered in all my searching, I could gain access to some information that was declassified, but it only said that Stable Tech was in Ponyville a few days before the main attack, we all know this they were doing work at Sweet Apple Acres remember? There wasn’t any further Intel on Stable Tech other than that, and I know that you have a team dedicated to such computer and security issues, so give this all to them to see what if anything they can do with it. I have a feeling that if we find out just what Stable Tech is up to we will crack all of this wide open."
It was now 1700, and every pony that was there for the meeting we had just had was ordered to forget anything they had just heard for security reasons. It was not even 5 minutes until every pony else showed up, I motioned to Kill Shot that we had to talk, and Twilight joined us in another room. "HMMM THATS INTERESTING, I DON’T KNOW TOO MUCH ABOUT STABLE TECH TO BE HONEST, AND IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT THAT HAVE THE MOST TO GAIN FROM THESE WARS, THINK ABOUT IT BOMB SHELTERS, WHO NEEDS A BOMB SHELTER IN PEACE TIME? NO PONY THAT’S WHO, WELL I HOPE THAT OUR COUNTER INTEL TEAM CAN MAKE MORE SINCE OF THIS THAN WE CAN." "DON’T TELL ANYPONY ELSE ABOUT THIS OK, I DONT WANT IT GETTING OUT THAT INFORMATION FROM THE CASTLE WAS BEING LEAKED." "YOU HAVE MY WORD MAJOR, NOT A WORD TO ANY PONY." At that our meeting was over, and we went back into the room where every pony else was. "Well the parade route is going to be guarded really heavy, until they get to this bridge. I and my unit will have the scene start in front of the bridge so that the advanced guard is caught in the open. I know you like to take prisoners, but if it comes to it we’ll just use the rubber rounds we have to put them down for you ok. Next the general will be forced to see what is happening ahead of his precession, and order his personal guard to check it out at which point the crowd will converge on them blocking their way. In the confusion our sniper who has checked in with his position will take them out using armor piercing rounds, and then take the kill shot. If anything goes wrong, remember you ponies in armor. You are the last hope for the mission, and are ordered to disable the friendly unit locator in your i.t.a.s, and take out the general along with any ponies near you." Every pony knew their place, and I ordered lights out, we had a busy day ahead of us, and I wanted every pony to have plenty of sleep for it. The house owners stood guard at the door as we all slept.
