Chapter One "The Parker Herd"
Peter's brow twitched involuntarily. Against his will, he was dragged out to do some shopping, but the assorted chaos around him had begun to pick at his nerves, an admirable feat considering Spider-Mane's gimmick was to annoy the bad guys as much as possible. He stole a glance at the eleven mares surrounding him, each partaking in a different activity, and sighed inwardly. Much to his dismay, this was hardly anything new, but it wasn't often that all eleven of his mares wanted to go shopping at the same time.
It was surreal. Back on Earth, Peter Parker was a guy who could barely hang on to one girl. So how was it that he managed to date in Equestria? Not once, not twice, but eleven times! If anything, since his arrival, it was clear Equestria was similar to Earth, but the way relationships worked was perhaps the one true difference between both worlds. Namely, stallions were unusually rare in the world, and mares outnumbered them ten to one. While it wasn't everypony's belief, herd ideology had become almost a requirement for Equestrians. However, Peter Parker, prince, knight, and hero of Equestria, managed to set a record. He had formed the largest herd in history with eleven mares, the second being eight several eons ago. Despite Spider-Mane’s known relationship with Princess Twilight Sparkle, he was still known as the world’s most desirable bachelor, at least thats what countless mares hoped for. When news came that the couple was considering the possibility of starting a herd, mares everywhere flocked to the stallion, but the members were already chosen from their circle of friends. To make matters more interesting, nearly half of the members of the Parker herd were celebrities in their own right: a majority of the wielders of the Elements of Harmony, a Wonderbolt, and two princesses. That wasn't saying the girls felt obligated to be with him. By all means, that was far from the case. They all loved him unconditionally, going out of their respective ways to show it daily. In return, Peter was affectionate, giving each mare as much attention as he physically and emotionally could. Needless to say, it is a very trying experience, even for a superhero, but the stallion didn’t mind, basking in the attention given to him. Peter scratched the back of his head. He knew it was a way of life here, but a small part of himself couldn't help but feel like a player. After all, he slept with and dated several girls at once, but they were all aware and content with sharing the same stallion, their minds staying the course even when some of their personalities clash. So he got to kiss eleven beautiful girls per day. Peter blushed. He got to do far more than that, and openly, even. It was perfectly normal. Nothing wrong with it at all. Peter shrugged. He was thinking too deeply about nothing in particular again. It had become a habit of his for days such as this. It was a dream come true, yet it was a nightmare. After all, he was just one male, and females were very strenuous when the mood suited them. With so much happening at once, Peter had to find a way to repress his stress. A halfhearted smile formed on the stallion's face. As much as he complained, Peter loved the girls just as much back, if not more than they imagined. It was just a matter of tending to their individual needs, and his marefriends couldn't have been more diverse in terms of personality if he tried. Luckily, his mares loved to tend to his needs as well, especially the one nudged into his side. She was the mare who started it all, the violet beauty who stole his heart first. Princess Twilight Sparkle. the Alicorn Archmage, the librarian who summoned Spider-Man to Equestria and inadvertently tied her magical essence with his. They were spiritually bound to each other, but that didn’t take away from the love they forged. Twilight knew about Peter’s darkest secrets and accepted him without a hint of hesitation. It was because of her devotion, love, and care that Peter was able to move on from Gwen and put his past behind him. She was identical to Peter, yet there were clear differences between the two, particularly her need to organize everything while the stallion simply improvised as he went. Twilight held out a clipboard, alternating her violet gaze between it and everypony scattered about in the market. Peter watched her with a small smile. Originally, he had no intention of starting a herd, nor did Twilight. As far as they knew, they were only meant for each other, but with some convincing from the others, the stallion and mare managed to give things a try. So far, it had been pleasant. Chaotic at times, but pleasant. Peter glanced to the side, spotting a pegasus slowly approaching. He admired the silky, pink mane on her head, and ran his hoof over her own, causing the mare to greet the stallion with her sky blue gaze. The pair allowed their lips to sync, savoring each others' taste for as long as possible before eventually breaking for need of oxygen. Peter smiled. Whenever he had a bad day, Fluttershy was always there to cheer him up. It was easy to say out of his mares, Fluttershy was the most compassionate, never failing to show her support and devotion for her coltfriend. In layman's terms, Fluttershy was one of the most trusted members of the herd. She caused the least amount of trouble and got along fairly well with everypony. Peter nodded, directing his gaze to the zebra near his position before sharing a smile with her. She was tall and soft-spoken, rarely engaging in activities that caused disturbances. This was Zecora. It was strange. The mare preferred her personal space usually, but she was willing to move into a home with nearly a dozen individuals. It was Zecora who knew of the Web of Life, and everypony’s inclusion within it. One could argue that Zecora was partially responsible for starting the herd, and Peter wouldn’t argue with the fact. He loved the zebra for a number of reasons. She was serene, quiet, and wise, always lending an ear when anypony needed it. Zecora was the glue that helped everything stick together. Peter trotted over to the mare, pausing to kiss her over the cheek. Her blue eyes widened, but her lips curled into a smile once her surprise dissipated. Zecora was the most level-headed member of the herd. Without her, things wouldn’t work. Applejack trotted over to the area, nudging Peter in the side. The stallion grinned. Here was another level-headed mare, at least to a degree. Applejack had her tendencies to be prideful and stubborn, but those traits couldn’t take away from the fact that the farmpony had one of the biggest hearts in Equestria. Peter’s brow lowered. Her golden mane and emerald irises were much like those Gwen had, but the snow-white freckles and southern upbringing were welcomed differences, aside from something else. Applejack was one of the first to learn about Peter’s failures, and like Twilight, she was supportive, perhaps to a fault. Peter reached out, lifting the blonde’s hat before planting a kiss at the center of her forehead. Applejack was the most honest mare in the herd, but that went without saying. Peter couldn't stop his eyes from shifting to the mares scattered throughout the market, but they quickly grew blank upon spotting three of his marefriends gathered in front of a vegetable stand, engaged in an argument no less.'Not again, ' he thought to himself, gently breaking away from Fluttershy. Peter slowly approached the scene, not wanting to be pulled into the middle of the confrontation, but his steps increased in speed when the volume of his mares' voices grew. Peter sighed. He knew it was normal for these specific two to argue, about as normal as Celestia’s sunrise, but it really unnerved the stallion when the third, supposed 'peacekeeper's' voice boomed over the others. There was a fourth voice, sounding exasperated. If both were getting involved, it meant this argument had to have been going on for quite some time. Desperate to avoid making a scene, Peter stepped besides the dark blue 'peacekeeper', pausing to glance down and acknowledge their notable height difference. It was too long ago that their roles were reversed, with her height being considerably greater than his, but circumstances led them here. Her sky blue mane flowed gracefully with the wind, falling over her slender shoulders. The entire world knew her as the co-ruler of Equestria, but Peter was lucky enough to know her as Luna, his little sparkplug. Out of all the mares in his household, Luna was easily the most assertive, making her presence known whenever command was necessary. Yet, whenever it was just her and Peter, Luna was surprisingly gentle, telling her knight her insecurities during times of intimacy. Underneath the hardened exterior, she was a girl who only wanted to be accepted. It only took the kind heart of an outworlder to win her over. Among the others, Luna promised to not start a power imbalance, not allowing her royal status to intervene with the fair partnership of her place in the herd. She even went as far as to perform a spell that shortened her height considerably, although Peter knew the truth behind the alicorn’s change in appearance. It certainly had the neighbors talking. Perhaps it was Luna's way of showing her trust and love for Peter. He was somepony that understood the struggle of repressing the darkness within his soul, and despite his immense power, Peter found a way to treat everypony around him as equals. It explained why Princess Celestia accepted their relationship without a hint of hesitation, going so far as to even pay for their luxurious home in Whitetail Woods, but the same couldn't have been said for everypony else. All forms of gossip surrounded Luna, namely around her stallion and status in the herd. Peter may have been one of the world’s great heroes as Spider-Mane, but why was it that he was chosen? Not to mention, Luna lowered herself to match the status of those in her herd. Quite a bit of Equestria felt the princess made a poor choice in those regards, much to their co-ruler's annoyance. As far as Luna was concerned, she was free to love whoever she pleased. Fortunately, the gossip in Equestria never truly bothered Peter, due to the fact it paled in comparison to the cruel things the Daily Bugle said about Spider-Man daily. It went without saying Luna loved Peter for his patience, too. "Luna," Peter gently called out, bringing the princess's gaze down to meet his. They exchanged smiles for a moment, but their expressions soon turned sour, matching that of exasperation. Moaning, the stallion shifted his sights to the two mares' heated debate. "What are they arguing about now ?" The princess rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Nothing, beloved. Just the usual, pointless babble." "No way! We had a salad yesterday!" Rainbow Dash said, tapping her hooves together. "Let's get a pizza!" "You always eat the most fattening things. Now, I see why you're growing a gut," Trixie scoffed, her tone full of sarcasm. "Keep at it, and your new name will be Rainbow 'Fat'." A wave of heat rushed into Rainbow's face. "What did you say?!" Spitfire waved a hoof defensively. “Let’s be nice for a second, okay?” "Are those excess calories clogging your ears, too?" The unicorn waved her hoof dismissively. Gritting her teeth, the pegasus growled. "It's going to be hard for you to eat anything once your teeth are kicked down your throat!" “Come on, you two. This is just getting ridiculous,” Spitfire moaned, rubbing her hoof over her forehead. Before the argument could escalate any further, Luna slammed her hoof into the ground, causing thunder to roar throughout the sky. Both Trixie and Rainbow Dash turned their heads at the sound, cringing once their gazes met Luna's venomous glare. "Silence! I will tolerate your insolence no more!" Luna roared, unaware a great deal of the town evacuated at the sound of her outburst.Peter tapped at Luna's side softly. "Your Canterlot is showing, hun." As Luna scolded both mares about their behavior, Peter turned his head in Rainbow Dash's direction. A tomboy at heart, none would have thought the pegasus was one to tie the knot since she practically repelled the opposite sex, but Rainbow did with one of the biggest dorks imaginable. Out of the herd, Dash was the most rebellious, rarely wanting to stay put even during times of peace. With her high-energy, Rainbow needed the perfect outlet, and Peter with his super-powered abilities proved to be a valid choice. Despite being an egghead, Peter still liked to have fun. Rainbow Dash even found a new sparring partner, but it was quickly apparent that she stood no chance against Spider-Mane. Defeat was something Rainbow loathed, yet Peter never boasted in his victories. Even during the rare occasions when she found a way to win, Parker remained a good sport. After a few personal experiences, Rainbow learned that Peter followed a saying: with great power comes great responsibility. Peter was a humble stallion, and Rainbow couldn't help but fall for somepony so corny. When the idea of Parker leading a herd came into mind, she joined without question. After all, it wasn't too often a girl found herself living with a real-life superhero, but, like Luna, Rainbow Dash had to deal with gossip from everypony, friends, Wonderbolts, and neighbors alike. They had only heard tales of Spider-Mane, the hero, but nopony knew a thing about Peter Pony Parker. Rumors spread, speculating, but only Dash knew the truth about Peter. He did more than anypony could have imagined. Yes, Peter was a dork, but he was her dork. Slowly, as the argument came to a close, evident by Luna's diminishing tone, Peter stole a glance at his fourth wife, Trixie. Fortunately, she had long abandoned her excessive 'Great and Powerful' title and gracefully bore her own slightly-changed name, Trixie Lulamoon-Parker. Out of his eleven wives, Trixie was one of the most level-headed, though her blunt honesty and sarcastic demeanor often left an impression that she was arrogant and pompous. Hence the question many Ponyville citizens made: why did this mare, who held herself to such a high standard, choose a stallion, whose beginnings were rather humble in comparison. In actuality, Trixie's persona was rather fragile, full of insecurities. The Great and Powerful Trixie was nothing more than a stage name, an act to portray what she strived to be. Sadly, that front had been held for so long that Trixie almost believed her own lies and allowed the false fame to alter her life. Even when the truth had been brought to light, Trixie refused to yield, blaming everypony for her destroyed reputation. She had hit rock bottom, falling into the depths of bankruptcy and losing her home. Trixie, much to her shame, even had to resort to petty thievery just to survive. Yet, whether it was fate, karma, or luck, she accidentally stumbled into Peter during one of her daring escapes, even managing to learn his Spider-Mane secret in the midst of the fiasco. Afterward, Trixie forced her hoof and demanded Peter take care of her until her financial status improved dramatically. Unfortunately, that plan fell under upon realizing that Spider-Mane, the great dragon-slayer, was just as broke as her. However, despite the circumstance, Peter still willingly agreed to take care of Trixie. Much to her surprise, he did just that without a hint of hesitation, going so far to even treat her as a friend. As time progressed, Trixie gave into his charms. Yes, he came off as a halfwit, but it could not take away from his good nature. Perhaps it was her guilt that led her to tell Peter the truth. Trixie was a girl destined for greatness, but neglect proved to be her greatest enemy. Thankfully, Peter managed to give Trixie the attention she desperately sought. He became her first true friend, and after a bit of consideration, she joined the herd solely to stay by Peter's side. That wasn't saying Trixie didn't get along with the others. In fact, she found a family of sisters in her herd. Peter placed his hoof over his forehead. Sadly, because of their conflicting personalities, Trixie and Rainbow Dash often antagonized each other. Though they hid it well, Peter knew both mares were sweet, and he loved them both to death. Spitfire smirked, playfully punching the stallion’s shoulder. Then, there was the captain of the Wonderbolts, the one who suggested forming the herd to Twilight and Peter in the first place. Spitfire was a laidback mare, at least when she was at home or surrounded by her friends. The pegasus had garnered quite a reputation within the Wonderbolt Academy, said to be stern, hard-layered, territorial, and very aggressive. Peter scratched the back of his ear, arching a brow. Spitfire was quite the opposite to him, being humorous, light-hearted, nonchalant, and flirty. Perhaps it was his luck working in his favor. After all, Spitfire was as professional as one could get, never letting her love life and personal affairs intertwine and collapse. However, as the gossip columns had asked since the Parker herd was formed, what exactly drew the Wonderbolts’ Captain to Prince Parker? Nopony knew the answer exactly. Well, Spitfire knew, having her own personal reasons, as did the other members of the Parker herd, but it was too much to think about at the moment for Peter. He responded to the mare with a wink, earning a kiss on the cheek from the pegasus. "Oh, my. Are your wings growing pudgy, too? You'll be a flightless bird soon. I know what they'll call you. The dodo ." Trixie added, laughing pompously into her hoof. By the stars. Reality came crashing down, as it usually did. Out of instinct, Peter reached out and wrapped his hooves around Rainbow's waist, holding her back as the pegasus swatted feverishly at the unicorn. He exhaled. At the very least, they were sweet to him . Peter only wished Rainbow Dash and Trixie would give each other a fair chance. Peter rolled his eyes, pulling the pegasus close until his mouth was inches from her ear. “Come on, Skittles. Chill. We can order a pizza when we get home.” He grinned. “With pineapple and apple toppings. That’s your favorite.” Rainbow’s ears lowered. “Fine.” The pegasus relaxed in the stallion’s grasp, allowing him to gently place her down. She waved her hoof dismissively. “I would have torn her apart anyway.” Derpy trotted from around the corner, tripping once she was a mere few hoof-lengths from Peter. The stallion’s eyes shot open, but his reflexes were as astute as usual, allowing him to release Rainbow and capture the blonde in his hooves before she could meet with the ground. Peter chuckled as he lifted the mare bridal style, her face flushing. She was easily the clumsiest member of the herd, her reputation as the ‘Mailmare of Destruction’ preceding her. Peter shook his head as he gently placed the pegasus down. Derpy only wanted to help those around her, but the ponies could be surprisingly judgmental toward her. Peter loved the klutz, but he adored the mother even more. Dinky skipped to Derpy’s side, rubbing against her side affectionately. Peter lowered his head and shared a kiss with the pegasus before giving a gentle peck on the filly’s cheek. Derpy was the most motherly mare of the herd, having domestic skills and a heart made of gold and honey. "Must you two act so immaturely? It's hardly ladylike." Everypony turned in the direction the eloquent voice came from, finding a snow-white unicorn and sky-blue earth pony approaching the scene. “I have to admit. It is entertaining to watch,” the other mare stated, brushing her snow-white mane behind her ears. Peter chuckled nervously. There was Ponyville's primary designer, full-time tailor of Spider-Mane, Rarity. Out of the household, Rarity certainly had the most class, finding a way to maintain a sense of professionalism in spite of the surrounding chaos. Peter always had a knack for being drawn to the mature types, but that was not saying the designer could remain steadfast for every occasion. Rarity, the picture-perfect image of sophistication, had a knack for being over-dramatic, blowing the smallest things out of proportion, and this usually led to the silliest of disagreements, particularly with her disorganized mess of a coltfriend and certain members of the herd. Yet, despite their differences, Rarity's love for Peter was divine, forged from the night he saved her life from a house fire. To pay back the debt she owed for his heroism, Rarity volunteered to redesign his costume and repair it whenever the time was needed, but that soon proved to be a chore as Peter found a way to destroy his costume far more often than he should have. Though it was annoying, she could not fault him for saving innocent lives. After the truth regarding his past was revealed, Rarity felt a new sense of affection for the stallion. Surprisingly, he was a tortured soul, fighting to make amends for a mistake. Unlike the many privileged males she met, who dared not lend a helping hoof to others, Parker was vastly underprivileged but still helped everypony he possibly could. Unfortunately, it had led Peter through a self-destructive path, and his good will towards others often left him with nothing but scars and emptiness. As long as she was there with him, Rarity promised to give Peter the love he rightfully deserved, but that certainly didn't mean he had a right to be careless. Lastly, there was Felicia Hardy, known as the Black Cat. After their adventures on Earth were concluded, she decided to accompany Peter to Equestria on the grounds that he could provide her with a fresh start. It was a brazen request, but Parker had connections, meaning it wasn’t impossible. On Earth, to say Twilight and Felicia didn’t get along would be an understatement, and even now, the two had trouble seeing eye-to-eye. When news spread of Peter creating a herd, Felicia saw fit that she join, but her adjustments to Equestria had been rocky to say the least, from her ‘bond’ with Twilight to learning the mechanics of an equine body. However, the mare managed to form friendships with a select few members of the herd, particularly Rarity and Spitfire. The unicorn was a sophisticate like her, sharing a similar sense of style, and the pegasus was easy-going, following the philosophy that everypony deserves at least one second chance. Peter gulped. He only hoped Felicia would improve with time. She still had some of her old habits, stealing when the opportunity rose, but despite the problems, Black Cat had a good heart, even if she was volatile about showing her vulnerabilities to the others. However, she managed, if only because Peter warned her that there would be consequences if she harmed any of the girls. The stallion sighed. Today was a day to think, it seemed. Holding her head high, Rarity brushed her violet mane back with a flick of her hoof and offered the alicorn an apologetic smile. "Then again, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest. I only wish you two wouldn't aggravate Princess Luna so much. So, please, if I may inquire? The buffet would be an ideal choice today." Trixie huffed, shrugging her shoulder nonchalantly, and Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes, letting out a defeated sigh. Applejack chuckled while Derpy led Dinky by her hoof. Felicia shrugged, prompting Spitfire to follow after she placed her violet shades back over her eyes. Zecora smiled, and Fluttershy mirrored her actions. Peter turned to Luna, who only nodded a response. Twilight soon rejoined Peter, smiling as she watched him mouth several words of gratitude to Rarity. Another argument resolved, the Parker herd proceeded to their destination. They made certain to keep their stallion on his hooves, but Peter admitted it was fun, namely because it beat the dangers he faced as his heroic counterpart. It wasn't as troubling as he made it, usually. His mares were incredibly caring, splitting the household chores among themselves and times of intimacy with Peter fairly. With Twilight handling the scheduling, this went smoothly most of the time. It was perhaps life handing him a fair trade for all the times his Parker luck caused him trouble. Though considering the amount of mishaps and events that happened during this time, Peter was tempted to believe God wanted to see his Parker luck amplified in spades. Life with the Parker Herd was truly something special, and Peter wouldn't have changed it for the world.

Chapter Two “Silly”
The item in Twilight’s hoof was light, fragile, and precious. The feelings that arose within the princess when she held it close was an odd combination; born of love and fear. Twilight could barely contain her glee, even during such a late hour. Her hoof lightly caressed the smooth, golden surface of the locket many times throughout the night, and the mare sighed blissfully each time, feeling the warmth Peter poured into it. Twilight brought the jewel over her mouth, kissing it before holding it against her beating heart.
She peeked from the corner of her eye and smiled at her bedmate, Peter snoring in an oblivious slumber. He was always thinking about her. The locket was a memento of their time on Earth. Twilight tucked the necklace under her nightgown, shivering involuntarily as the cold surface brushed against her fur. It would be careless if she harmed the jewel, as it was a symbol of their love. If she damaged it, that meant she would do the same to her relationship with Peter. Twilight frowned, clutching at the locket, and Peter turned, his lips curling into a sleepy smile. Twilight’s cheeks burned. It was as if Peter knew what she was thinking, even as he slept. The princess returned to her previous position under the bedsheets and wrapped her slim hooves around the stallion’s waist, snuggling into his side. It was silly to think such a thing. Their love was deep, forged by their hearts, not by a golden, material possession. Twilight’s eyes softened as she pulled the locket from underneath her gown and gazed at its design. It was still beautiful, but the princess giggled, knowing how silly she was being. It was a learning process, something Twilight had been experiencing since she first met Peter. The alicorn freed her gaze from the locket, directing it to the ceiling. Love was convoluted, yes, but Twilight knew who she wanted. It was Peter and only him, but there were others who felt the same way. During their adventures on Earth, there were developments. Starting with Princess Luna, The Web of Life, and those involved, it all came to light. Twilight furrowed her brow as her hoof tapped against her chest. Most of her friends and several acquaintances, not to mention a certain feline equine, were all in love with the same stallion. Twilight closed her eyes, taking a moment to level her breathing. It was so much to take in at once. All of her friends kept their feelings a secret. They wanted to preserve their friendship with Twilight, willing to never act on their emotions. Twilight shook her head. She remembered the days when her feelings for Peter began to grow. It was agonizing, like a knife tearing through fabric, and the weight on her shoulder was so much to bear, only dissipating after she confessed her love. Twilight was possessive. Even now, Peter was hers, but she managed to understand her friends’ plight. It took time, but Princess Celestia talked with Twilight about forming a herd. The decision was her own and Peter’s. A herd could consist of many members, but the choices would revolve around those that are trustworthy. Twilight opened her eyes. Peter was hesitant about the decision, solely due to the fact that his culture never exercised a herd ideology, but he was open-minded, declaring that if Twilight was comfortable with sharing, then he would be as well. Admittedly, his Aunt May was the only pony against the idea, but she eventually warmed up to the herd, being as supportive as possible. Twilight nodded before planting a kiss on the cheek of her sleeping lover. After the members were chosen, adjustments had to have been made. So far, things were progressing rather well. Princess Celestia had a home made in the Whitetail Woods for the Parker herd, everypony staying there as well as keeping their old homes. A home away from home, one might say. It was a learning experience for everypony, seeing as this was now the largest herd in Equestrian history with eleven mares and one stallion. Such a situation would have been stressful, but Peter was once again the cause of her change in behavior. It was silly, endearing, and yet Twilight didn’t mind. As long as she was Peter’s partner, she would make sure nopony close would harm him. After all, Twilight liked silly, and Peter was the epitome of it.

Chapter Three "Guilt"
Peter trotted through Whitetail Woods with his gaze fixed on the ground while grass crunched underhoof, but the clear skies and bright sun couldn't have triggered such a depressing mood. It was that day once again, the date marking his life like a stormy night. His head hung low as he approached a makeshift headstone, the name of his beloved uncle inscribed on the grave.
Despite having come to terms with his life in Equestria, Peter refused to let the death of his uncle go, the guilt having molded him into the being he was today. There were so many emotions he felt coming here, far too many to count for his taste, but Peter knew it was what drove him. With great power comes great responsibility. He promised to devote his life to helping those around him, and it was because of this lifestyle that Peter met his loving wives and gave his aunt a fresh start in Equestria. That was just a pitiful way to excuse his misdeed. While his herd knew of Uncle Ben's fate, Peter never told them about the makeshift grave he made in his honor. The stallion scoffed, turning his hazel gaze skyward. A part of him wanted to bring his Aunt May here to this place. After all, Uncle Ben was her husband, but Peter closed his eyes shamefully, brushing the thought away. Perhaps it was a pathetic way to make amends or an act to cling to something of his old home. Sighing, Peter knew neither was the case. He simply did not want to trouble anypony with his past. Each girl was sensitive, and Peter refused to break a single heart. It was still so lonely to shoulder the burden. He fell to the ground, running his hoof over his uncle's name. Peter was just an arrogant kid that made a mistake, but that carelessness cost a man his life. If only he listened. Aunt May would still have Uncle Ben by her side. The guilt always remained intact, the desolate isolation embedding itself deep into his soul. It meant so much to him, and he hated it. Uncle Ben was the closest thing Peter had to a father, and he threw it away. How careless could one man be? Now, Peter promised to use his power for the greater good, but even then, he found ways to fail. He quickly tuned out those thoughts. Now was not the time to wallow in his other failures. Today was about Uncle Ben. A tear rolled along the side of his cheek. The guilt Peter felt grew heavier, wearing continuously on Peter's great strength. He muttered several words of apology to the grave, his voice breaking further with each sentence. It was all for naught. Peter couldn't forgive himself even if Uncle Ben were to do the opposite. Having enough, he dropped a set of flowers in front of the grave and made his way to his hooves. However, he turned at the sound of rustling leaves behind him. Most ponies would disregard the sound as the wind’s work. But Peter knew that rustle and what it entailed, and turned around. Yet he could not stop his nerve from slipping once he saw Twilight standing with her hoof over her chest. Why did she come? He didn't tell anypony about this location. Not even her. She trotted over to Peter, her large, violet irises filled with sadness, but Twilight shifted her gaze to the grave, keeping her gorgeous face low out of respect. Though no words were spoken, it was clear the mare understood the situation. Peter always told her how much of an inspiration his uncle was and how much he missed him. Twilight even knew about Gwen, remembering when Peter paid his final respects to her back on Earth. She knew she wasn't supposed to be here, and Twilight had no intention to wear out her welcome. The alicorn turned sharply, prepared to make her departure, but Peter's hoof gently fell on her shoulder, stopping Twilight silently. He always drug her down, depressing the mare with his glum feelings. "Stay." He hated that she came, but every fiber of his being wanted, even more so needed, her to stay. Peter's mind swam with distorted emotions, unsure of how to react. The tears in his eyes continued to fall, staining his cheeks slightly. "Please..." Twilight brought her hoof up to caress the side of his face. A gentle breeze brushed her violey mane back. The pained expression in her eyes told him everything he needed to know. She closed the gap, placing her hoof on his cheek, making him look down at her. Peter shook his head and glanced away, as if furious with his selfishness, but slowly, he yielded to his desires and wrapped his hooves around her slender body. Pulling her closer, Peter lowered his head onto her shoulder. Twilight shivered involuntarily at the hint of contact but she returned the gesture, running one hoof through Peter's mane and the other across his back. In that moment, Peter remembered that he no longer had a reason to shoulder his burdens alone. He smiled, allowing the last of his tears to fall upon her shoulder. Twilight felt Peter's change in demeanor and clutched him tighter, her lips having curled into a smile as well."I know your uncle is proud of you," she whispered, placing her forehead against his chest. "I am, too." They stayed like that for minutes, not wanting the moment to end. Eventually, they parted but kept their hooves intertwined. A great weight had been lifted from his shoulders. The guilt would always be there for Peter, serving as a reminder for his past mistake, but as long as Twilight was there to lend him her love, he'd make certain the future would always stay safe. He turned back to the grave, not with a sorrowful frown but with an uplifting smile. "Uncle Ben... I just wish you could’ve met Twilight."

Chapter Five "Argyroneta Aquatica"
"Zecora. Are you ready?"
She sighed as her gaze shifted away from the serene settings around her, namely the beams of light filtering through the forest, and turned to Peter standing before her with a soft yet reassuring smile on his face. "No," she said somberly. Here they were again for the daily swimming lesson, and her stomach turned in anticipation. Zecora was a confident, skilled herbalist and shaman, but she could not swim to save her life. It was a fact known only by those closest to her, namely Peter and Twilight, but even then, she could not help but feel shamed by it. Despite her impressive athleticism, swimming had never been a priority in her life. Zecora always used her staff to transverse small rivers. This certainly explained why the mare used to live away from the river in the Everfree Forest and stay more dry than a funeral drum. It was only a matter of time before somepony would make her learn the art of swimming. Since the start of their relationship, Peter encouraged Zecora to practice, but her progress was slower than Applejack’s Sweet Apple Acres Molasses. At first, she couldn't even place her hoof in the water without falling into a panic. It was horribly ironic. Zecora was a teacher of sorts, perhaps the wisest member of the Parker herd, but she was no different from a filly learning to walk for the first time. Peter even went as far as to buy her a flotation device. It was humiliating, but Zecora found it quite reliable in spite of the shame it wrought. However, there was no floatie today. Peter gently took her hooves in his. She felt a shiver run up her spine as she nodded. Her icy blue eyes stayed on the ground before they shut tight. They walked slowly, proceeding with caution, but a whimper escaped from her mouth when she felt a cold, yet familiar substance brush against her delicate coat. Zecora chided herself. She could levitate water to compensate for her inability to swim, yet she was still helpless, her body paralyzed with trepidation. Her grip tightened, causing Peter to pull her closer. "Are you okay? We can stop." She shook her head, trying her best to maintain her composure as the water reached her chest. "I'm okay." Zecora failed to speak in rhyme today. While she had developed a reputation for it, the mare had her moments of failing to do so. It was usually when she was upset or nervous that the zebra failed to rhyme. She shook her head. “Let us… proceed.” The water level rose to her neck, and Zecora felt her nerve slipping away. She pulled her hooves away from Peter's grasp, throwing them around his neck. Her whimpers grew in volume, but he stood firm and placed his hooves on her hips. Her body shivered involuntarily, and he held her slender frame close in hopes of calming her down. "You're doing fine. Just a little further, okay?" Quick and shallow breaths began to escape the mare as they progressed to the middle of the lake. Her fear grew and her grip on Peter tightened. The water rippled in her panic, and only worsened when her body trembled horribly. Tears poured from her eyes. She began to hyperventilate, forcing Peter to turn around and pull Zecora onto his back. "That's enough. You did just fine. I'm taking you back to dry land now." Zecora wrapped her hooves around his neck again, unaware her grip had tightened immensely from the first time. Peter shifted his head about to ensure his oxygen intake remained firm, but he turned, giving the mare a reassuring smile. The second his hoof reached dry land, Zecora fell from his grasp. She groaned as she wiped her face clean with her hoof. Peter knelt down and pulled her up, revealing her blush and her bloodshot eyes. Her eyes rolled to the side. "That was embarrassing." "Don't worry about it." He placed his hooves onto her shoulders and patted them gently. "This is going to take time." Her cheeks turned beet red and felt as warm as the flames of the sun. Peter then turned to retrieve a towel from a nearby bag. Zecora's eyes widened slightly once he placed the cloth over her shoulders. A sweet smile formed on her face as her hoof found its way onto the side of the young stallion's cheek. Peter grinned at the hint of contact, unaware his face resembled the shade of a tomato. "Thank you, but I'm not too eager to try again anytime soon. Perhaps we can try again on another afternoon?" "It's okay." Peter stood, causing Zecora to copy his action. His hooves pulled the mare's soaked form against his own. He planted a kiss on her forehead and gently brushed several strands of her black and white mane behind her ear. "You go at the pace you're comfortable with. I'm here to help you through it." He cupped her chin in his hooves and smiled. "No matter how long it takes." They had only been together for a year now, and Zecora had already learned so much from Peter. His energetic nature and positive demeanor gave her the means to keep up with his unending pursuits, whether it was a part of their herb extractions, Spider-Mane heroics, walks through the woods, or swimming. Though she smiled just as much as Peter, his grin sent chills through her body and gave her a sense of earnest happiness. His enthusiasm was his greatest trait in her eyes, even trumping his magnificent strength. Peter offered to give her swimming lessons last year, and despite her countless failures, he remained positive, not even giving a hint of negative criticism. He was wonderful. She loved him for it. Even though she tried to keep her insecurities to herself, Zecora opened up to Peter more than anypony else in the world. Was she naïve for it? Peter was strong, more so than most imagined, but it was not his physical strength Zecora admired. It was his determined spiritual strength that surpassed her expectations. No matter the odds, Peter met them with confidence, and Zecora wished to mirror his actions, rather not as recklessly. Not that she'd ever tell him. After all, that bull-headed nature resulted in countless injuries, most of which she had to tend to. A coy smile formed on the mare's face. She'd follow his example, gently. "You sure you don't want to try again?" he whispered into her ear. Zecora reached out, running her hoof through his drenched mane. He peered up, surprised to see the smile on her face was still intact. That same moment, she slid her hooves around his neck, inhaled deeply, and nuzzled her face into his collarbone. "I'm ready."

Chapter Six "Rock Hunting"
"Are we done yet?" Peter groaned.
"Of course not. There are still several diamonds around us," Rarity said nonchalantly, examining the brilliant gem in her magical grasp without giving Peter a single glance. After a brief nod, she gently tossed the diamond into the cart he towed and trotted onward. Such a tool. That's what he was. Whatever Rarity wanted, she got, and Peter was the stooge that did her bidding. 'Nyuk, nyuk,' he thought, ignoring how large the cargo had grown on his back. Rarity called it 'extraction'. Peter called it 'rock hunting'. He hated this day. It was no different than shopping, taking far longer than necessary. Yet, Peter was willing to cut Rarity a little slack. The diamonds she found were usually used for her dress designs. It was partially why she was such a success, aside from her immense skill in the art. Plus, Rarity had the highest paying job in the house, behind Luna naturally, and because bills had to be paid, Peter was more than obligated to help. "Darling?" she called out, knocking the stallion out of his trance. Rarity then pointed her hoof at a boulder, its size matching that of a small house. "If you may?" He rolled his eyes. "The things I do for love..." Exhaling, Peter removed the straps of his carriage and approached the rock. A packing mule. That's what he was. The dumb muscle for the boss. Oh, how undignified could it get? Cow goes moo, dog goes woof, and Rarity's orders were absolute. Peter shrugged, remembering he shouldn't have bothered if he truly didn't care. Sadly, he loved Rarity too much to ignore her for even a moment. Sliding his hooves underneath the boulder, Peter huffed as he managed to lift the object overhead, displaying his immense strength. Pushing with all of his might, Peter threw the boulder several yards away. That same moment, he spotted a ruby gem buried within the dirt. Rarity used her magic to retrieve the ruby, but instead of tossing it within the cart right away as she did the others, the mare simply stared at it, her large royal, blue irises widening. She brought her hoof over the necklace she wore, tracing the smooth edges with the utmost care. A sweet smile formed on the unicorn's face. "It's exactly like this one," she said, shifting her beautiful gaze to her husband. Before anything else could have been said, Rarity rushed over to Peter holding both the necklace and gem next to yet adjacent from each other. "My birthday present..."'Oh, right.' Peter reared forward, placing a kiss on his mare's forehead. 'That's why I bother.'

Chapter Seven "A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words"
'Is Rainbow Dash gay?'
It was an age old question several have asked Applejack over the years. Yes, Rainbow wasn't the most feminine mare, never paying romance any attention, but the farmpony knew all it would take was the right stallion to spark her interest. He'd have to be patient enough to tolerate Dashie's bull-headed nature. Plus, with one as fast, strong, and athletic as Rainbow, that special somepony would have to match, if not surpass, her on all counts. More importantly, he'd have to be a nice fellow since the pegasus had little to no tolerance for jerks and bullies. Last but not least, he needed to be supportive. Rainbow Dash was the Element of Loyalty, and while she would never admit it outright, she longed for a little support from somepony, whether it was an open ear that would listen or a shoulder for her to lean on during times of hardship. It was a tall order, almost impossible for most eyes, but Applejack stole a glance by her barn, spotting the very pony that filled the stated qualifications. However, the blonde burst into laughter once she found he wasn't alone.Rainbow Dash, the biggest tomboy in Equestria, was curled beside her best friend, as well as Applejack’s, Peter Pony Parker- both fast asleep. Applejack smiled. This was a pony they shared, forming a herd with. He sat upright, his back against the wall as drool escaped from the side of his mouth, and Rainbow's head rested comfortably on his lap. They were cuddling, at least as close as two ponies were going to get. Although, upon closer inspection, Applejack found an alarming sight. Despite both Peter and Rainbow being in a deep slumber, their hooves remained intertwined, perhaps out of instinct.Unfortunately, before Applejack could hope to capitalize on the situation, Rainbow Dash began to stir, stretching her limbs overhead. If the pegasus were to notice anypony, she would have surely overreacted, but maybe she would react honestly if nopony was around. Not wanting to waste such an opportunity, the blonde ducked behind her cart of apples, all while keeping as quiet as possible. Rainbow's rose irises fluttered opened, widening once her vision cleared as well as Peter's image. The pegasus shifted her head, searching for any traces of somepony while maintaining her current position. She turned back to Peter with a sweet smile. Though it was brief, Rainbow planted a kiss on his cheek before shifting her gaze back to the scenery, making certain nopony saw her act of taboo. Finally, Dash nuzzled back into Peter's side, reached down for his hoof, and resumed her afternoon nap. After a few moments, Peter murmured in his sleep, but instead of waking, he only pulled Rainbow closer.Dash didn't seem to mind, evident by her flushed grin.Applejack giggled. Surely, a picture was worth a thousand words. Sadly, Trixie thought the same thing. The unicorn appeared from behind the barn with a camera, taking several shots of the couple before galloping around the corner. Rainbow flipped to her hooves, blushing as she struggled to recollect her senses. Trixie’s pompous laughter echoed across the vicinity, and Dash took flight, screaming several expletives as she pursued the unicorn. Peter lazily stirred to life, shrugging before falling back into his oblivious slumber. Applejack exhaled and shook her head. This was a moment she would have to take to her grave, at least in order to avoid a chastising from Rainbow Dash.At the very least, this should silence her critics.

Chapter Eight "Distraction"
"Hey, Luna? Do you like the snow?"
Princess Luna shifted her attention away from the telescope, only to glower at Peter. He volunteered to keep her company during her night watch, but Luna questioned her own wisdom for accepting the gesture. Yes, it was sweet, and Peter's company was always enjoyable. However, she had a job to do. Equestria needed her watchful eye to remain vigilant, but Peter's insistent pestering was proving to be rather distracting.A low shudder escaped from the mare, involuntarily. Small flakes of snow danced on the breeze in their descent, landing on her body. It had been going on like this for the entire duration of the day. Snow was always a work hazard. Granted, Celestia urged her sister to avoid working on such cold days, but in Luna's eyes, enemies could take the time to attack when somepony least expects it. It was her duty to protect her kingdom, and nopony would find a way through her defense, whether it was through rain, sleet, or snow.Unfortunately, Luna's mouth betrayed her mind."Yes, it's quite beautiful. Why do you ask?"Curses. Once again, she humored the fool. While they were closely acquainted, so much that Luna deemed Peter her coltfriend, it should not have affected her way of thinking. Whenever she was around him, her heart felt light, like the clouds overhead. Peter treated her like an equal, something that everypony else couldn't bring themselves to even attempt. While it was to respect her royal status, it was also out of fear, for the memory of Nightmare Moon remained fresh in their minds.Peter was different. Her tainted legacy meant nothing to him. In his eyes, Luna was a friend, and that meant the world to the princess. Her best friend was a fool, but he was invaluable. Shaking her head, Luna placed her eye back into the telescope, attempting to shift her focus back into her work, where it belonged."I was just curious. You've been standing here all night in the snow."Luna huffed. "It is my duty to watch over the land. You know that."Such a distraction. How could he not take a hint?Peter grinned. "Yeah, I know, but aren't you cold? I mean, even with fur, it's pretty chilly out."The mare exhaled but shivered at the same time, letting out a shudder. He had a point. Luna's expression turned blank as she cursed the frailty of her younger and smaller body. Peter gave no verbal response, only furrowing his brow at the stubborn princess. Luna refused to look in his direction. No doubt he was scowling at her with his eyes. She was co-ruler of the land. Never would she allow somepony, aside from her sister, to scold her . Sadly, her vulnerabilities continued to surface, evident by a pair of stifled sneezes. With a quick swipe of her hoof, Luna cleaned her snout, all while avoiding Peter's gaze."I assure you... I am fine."Luna's eyes widened once a warm cloth fell around her neck. Peter placed his jacket on the mare's back. In spite of her harsh thoughts, her stallion willingly gave her his clothing, sacrificing his warmth for her. Luna's cheeks flushed, growing as hot as the sun despite the cold climate, and her conditions only worsened once her blue irises found his wide smile. Luna's body suddenly stiffened. Oh, how she loathed feeling so vulnerable.Peter began running his hooves along her limbs in an attempt to warm them. "You don't always have to put on the tough girl act, you know."A true fool, indeed, but Luna could not contain her smile. She pulled her hoof away, causing Peter to glance up at the princess with a puzzled look on his face. Before any negative thoughts could enter his mind, Luna rubbed her head against the side of his own affectionately, keeping it there for several moments. Peter was invaluable, and she did not want to let him go. Turning away from the telescope, Luna offered Peter her hoof, which he gracefully accepted, and a warm smile. She still had a job to do, but perhaps it was time for her to heed her sister's advice and not work on such a day.Luna smiled. "Shall we go inside?"She was a fool, too. A fool in love and Luna couldn't be happier.

Chapter Nine “Ladylike Tendencies”
Spitfire was the renowned captain of the Wonderbolts, a practical drill sergeant with a zero-tolerance persona. On the grounds of the Academy, nopony was foolish enough to cross her, but anywhere else, the pegasus was the complete opposite, with a nonchalant demeanor and light sense of humor. Spitfire was truly a professional, knowing how to keep her job and personal life fairly distant from each other. However, something seemed to have changed recently.
Captain Spitfire was not quite herself at the Academy. Several of her cohorts pondered if it had anything to do with the mare’s recent joining with Prince Peter Pony Parker’s herd. That alone raised questions. Spitfire was always disinterested in relationships outside of platonic range, but after the race in Manehattan she started displaying an odd interest for Spider-Mane, usually mentioning him during conversations. Also, from what spectators gathered from various members of the Parker herd, it was actually Spitfire who suggested forming the throng in the first place to Princess Twilight Sparkle. It was celebrity gossip at its finest. Everypony wanted to guess and assume, but the only ones who knew the truth behind Spitfire’s fascination and interest in Prince Parker was Spitfire herself (and a few members of Parker’s herd). Sadly, she wasn’t telling anypony anything . Atall . It made those close to the pegasus ask what was it about Prince Parker that peaked her interests, but she never answered, simply always replying with cryptic enigmas. This was merely speculation, shared between a few ponies in the Academy and select members of the Wonderbolts. They knew better than to confront the captain about the matter, lest everypony felt like performing suicide flights throughout the obstacle course. Through hushed whispers they shared their tales, recollecting the signs of Spitfire’s change in behavior. Three incidents stood out, one taking place a number of weeks ago.The captain observed everypony during their speed trials as per usual, but she seemed flushed, her face a fair shade of crimson despite her phlegmatic expression. On occasion after barking an order, Spitfire would pause to brush strands of her mane behind her ear. Ironically, Spider-Mane had come to participate in the trials as well, taking moments to talk with the pegasus. Spitfire’s fiery gaze almost never diverted from the stallion. Bulk Biceps made the horrible mistake of questioning the captain on her imperturbable demeanor, and he paid for it with a thorough tongue lashing and three-hundred push-ups.Second, Spitfire had been seen at the spa a bit more than usual. It was no secret that the Wonderbolts had their own personal masseuse and spa treatments, but Spitfire’s appointments and requests were growing in quality and quantity. Usually, the mare only asked for massages before venturing into the spa. As of late, she had upped the ante, requesting hooficures and facial treatments. Spitfire even went so far to go to the salon, having her mane done for the first time in years. She arrived at the Academy, wearing her usual jacket, but her hooves were practically glowing in the morning sun, their brightness matched only by her slick mane. When Prince Parker arrived at the Academy that day, he openly complimented the captain of the Wonderbolts, and the mare squealed jubilantly, undoubtedly earning stares from her peers. Everypony within range seemed to have developed short term amnesia after Spitfire shot them a venomous glare. A mare in uniform was not somepony to trifle with, and the good captain resembled death to those who dared to laugh at her expense. However, the latest incident was taking place this very moment. Most of the ponies proceeded to fly through the obstacle course, keeping one eye on the perilous path ahead and the other fixed on Spitfire and Prince Parker. They seemed to have been engaged in a conversation and exchanged pleasantries, evident by their shared smiles. It was alien. Captain Spitfire never smiled while present at the Academy, keeping a steely gaze and stoic frown, but right at the moment she was grinning, holding a toothy smile. Suddenly, Princess Luna appeared in a flash of light behind the pair. It was swift, but Prince Parker closed the distance and planted a kiss over Spitfire’s forehead before vanishing with the co-ruler of Equestria. The pegasus retrieved her signature violet shades and placed them over her eyes, but they failed to hide her flushed features. However, before anypony could react, Spitfire turned sharply and howled, particularly at those staring in her direction. Everypony scattered, the trainees returning their full attention to the obstacle course while nearby Wonderbolts glanced away out of fear. The truth was finally out. Spitfire may have been a drill-sergeant, but she was still a lady at heart.Spitfire glared at the stallion next to her position. “Eyes forward, Soarin!”Soarin’ cringed, snapping his head forward. He only wished she wouldn’t be so defensive about it.

Chapter Ten “Cooking with Disaster”
“This was a horrible idea,” Trixie murmured as she watched the substance bubbling in the pot.
It was merely onion soup, something even fillies could cook, but the unicorn was failing miserably, evident by the wooden spoon stuck within the impossibly thick substance. Trixie lacked the experience. She was a mare who ate out usually, but ever since her Ursa Major ruse was exposed, the unicorn only recently began to practice. It was for the sake of her coltfriend, Peter. She only wanted to do something nice for him. Trixie paused, her face flushing to a shade of pink. Okay, perhaps not. Sadly, nearly every member of the herd was competent in the kitchen.Even the brute, Rainbow Dash, was a decent cook. Surprisingly, the klutz of the group, Derpy, was the best, but this was probably due to the fact that she cooked for her daughter, Dinky, all of the time before joining the herd. It was a domestic skill, and Derpy was a natural as a mother. Peter always praised the pegasus for her cooking, smothering the blonde with kisses as a reward. Trixie wanted to see if she had what it took to cook like a marefriend or better yet a wife. She blushed, shaking her head. Trixie stepped away from the stove, coughing. The fumes from her cooking were obviously disorienting her senses. She refused to be the worst at anything. Simple as that.Having enough, the unicorn aimed her horn at the pot and enveloped the spoon with her magic, straining for several minutes before the tool snapped into two pieces. Trixie blankly stared as the wooden implement melted into the soup, a new cloud of smoke rising from the substance. This was the price she paid for attempting to be creative. The others usually added extra ingredients to their cooking, giving their dishes a unique yet endearing taste. Trixie moaned. Perhaps Zecora’s potions weren’t the ideal choices for added ingredients. The kitchen door swung open, and Derpy stumbled inside, her crossed eyes wide with amazement. “Trixie! Do you need-” she paused, laughing nervously once Trixie’s dismayed gaze fell in her direction. “-any help?”Trixie stared at the stew before opening the window, slinging the pot outside with all of her strength. The unicorn shrugged. “It’s just a few minor miscalculations. Surely, the next dish will be my greatest creation yet!”Derpy placed her hoof over her nose, blocking the scent plaguing the room. “Don’t worry about it. I wasn’t that great either when I first started cooking. I don’t mind cooking for the day.”Trixie arched a brow. “That will not be necessary, Derpy. I have things well under control.” The pair stood silently as remnants from the stew burned over the stove, blackening to a crisp in a small flame. Trixie’s ears lowered after a moment’s pause. “How were the muffins? Were they satisfactory?”Derpy’s complexion paled, her eyes falling to either side. “Actually-”Before the mailmare could continue, Rainbow Dash burst into the room and dragged her out of the room. “Derpy! You have to see this!”Trixie tilted her head to the side. After a few moments, her brow furrowed. A collection of voices could be heard from behind the door.Rarity sobbed, her cries growing in volume. “My precious tooth! It’s broken !”Dash chuckled. “Yeah! I dropped mine and it went straight through the floor!”“Such impressive density! These are as durable as Peter’s Spider-Mane webbing! I simply must study this!” Twilight boasted, her voice giddy. The voices eventually lowered into hushed whispers, and Derpy entered the room, brushing her hoof over the other awkwardly. “Trixie… what did you put in the muffin mix?”Trixie sighed and removed her apron, crossing the room to thrust it at the pegasus. “Fine. You can cook,” she huffed, leaving the room with a glower.Derpy watched the unicorn with a wide-eyed gaze, shifting it to the side once Zecora entered the room.“Has somepony been rummaging through my supplies again?”

Chapter Eleven “A Fashionista's Weakness”
“Absolutely not!” Rarity declared, keeping her royal blue gaze fixed on the costume under her threading needle. Peter sat behind the mare with his hooves placed together in a pleading manner, but his actions proved only to irritate the unicorn further, causing her to huff. “This is the third time in two weeks that you managed to destroy a perfectly fine costume! For heaven’s sake, there wasn’t even a crisis!” Rarity’s hoof fell over her forehead. “Just tell me. What is your excuse this time, darling?”
Peter raised a hoof, chuckling nervously. “Stop me if you have heard this one before. Rainbow Dash--”Rarity groaned, shaking her head. “You two are a regular pair of ruffians. It’s like you haven’t stopped to consider my feelings. I always spends hours mending your costumes and working my hooves to the bone! How would you like it if I stopped? Maybe you'll stop taking me for granted then. She whined, throwing the costume over her shoulder once the tear had been properly repaired. “Peter Pony Parker, I am officially on strike.”Peter made his way back to a standing position, prompting Rarity to turn her back to him. “Come on, Rarity. I’m sorry. You know I hate upsetting you.”The mare raised her head, keeping her eyes shut. “Apologizing will not work. Not this time, Mister.”The stallion wrapped his hooves around Rarity’s neck from behind, pausing to plant kisses along her neck. “You’re the only tailor in my life. Can you imagine if I asked Rainbow Dash to patch my costume or… choose a new one?”Rarity shivered involuntarily, both from Peter’s mouth and the horrifying thought he gave her. Her face was beet red. “That would be disastrous. Her sense of style is as bad as… yours,” she managed, fidgeting in the stallion’s grasp. Rarity wanted to break free, but Peter’s warm breath and hot kisses melted her mind, sending her into a wave of bliss. “This is… hardly fair. Y-you’re merely bribing me,” she moaned, her body burning.Peter chuckled, guiding his mouth to the mare’s ear. He bit down, gently, and nibbled until Rarity’s moans of pleasure were heard. “You like Spider-Mane too much, otherwise you would have quit a long time ago.” Rarity growled defiantly, only to sigh blissfully and lean further against the stallion. Peter grinned victoriously. “It could be worse. I could wear something far more complicated and be even more obnoxious.”While she never relinquished her hold on the costume, Rarity turned and brushed her muzzle against Peter’s neck, smiling. “Is that a fact? I find that very hard to believe, honey.”Peter hesitantly pulled away, much to Rarity’s dismay. He opened the closet. keeping the door pulled wide to conceal his body. After a few moments, the stallion hopped out, and Rarity’s eyes widened at the sight. Garbed from head to hoof with a violet suit with blue boots, Peter stood with his chest poked out as the cape on his back brushed in the breeze brought about thanks to the opened window near his position. Rarity stifled a giggled. She had not seen the Mysterious Mare-Do-Well costume in quite some time. Peter lowered his hat over his blank, masked blue eyes before clutching the cape and raising it over his chest.Rarity bit down on her lip, suppressing a smile and her growing urge to laugh. She frowned to the best of her ability. “Stop it. I am still upset with you.”Peter stood on his hind legs, all while raising his hooves and cape high. “I am the terror that trots in the night! I am the soda machine that keeps your spare change! I... am Dark-Maned Stallion!”Rarity was in tears, struggling to recollect her breath in between her nonstop laughter. “That was awful.”“Really? I thought I was pretty good,” Peter grinned, removing his mask and hat.Rarity let out a defeated sigh, giving the stallion a brief yet affectionate kiss for his efforts. Peter was needlessly reckless, no doubt a ruffian at heart, but he always managed to make Rarity smile, which meant more to the mare than he realized. That stallion could destroy a thousand costumes. The mare’s smile grew. She would always be forced to forgive him, even if she didn’t want to. After all, a true gentlecolt would always find a way to make his mare smile, and Peter did that to perfection, even if his sense of humor was questionable at times. However, that did not mean he deserved to be let off easily. Rarity placed Peter’s costume over his shoulder before poking him in his chest.“Consider this a warning. Should you destroy another costume too soon, I promise I will give the next design pink highlights,” Rarity nodded, smiling wickedly.Peter shrugged. “I guess that would make me the Fabulous Spider-Mane.”Rarity paused, snickering. “Never mind.”

Chapter Twelve “Age Difference”
“Luna? When is your birthday?”
Luna’s brow twitched. This was getting rather redundant. Peter had volunteered to accompany her during the night watch again, but he always pelted Luna with questions, some more idiotic than others. The alicorn paused, her mind slowly registering the stallion’s question. Luna’s hoof shot out, smushing Peter’s head against the railing. She continued to press despite the stallion’s strained protests, and the guards below the balcony merely shrugged at the commotion, these sort of spectacles becoming a norm after Princess Luna joined the Parker herd.“Treason! How dare you ask your lover such a thing!” Luna scolded, her pupils disappearing behind a bright light.Peter flailed his hooves about. “I’m sorry! It was only a joke! I know your birthday is on December 22nd!”Luna removed her hoof, glaring at the stallion. “You’re not as foolish as I thought.”Peter grumbled as he rubbed the aches out of his cheek. “You really need to lighten up and learn how to take a joke.” He grinned. “Speaking of which. How old are you?”Not ignoring his sixth sense for danger this time, Peter ducked underneath Luna’s swinging hoof, but the alicorn lost her balance, squeaking as she fell from the box positioned next to the telescope and crashed onto the floor. Taking advantage of the situation, the stallion pressed his hooves against her own and pinned the mare to the ground. Luna’s horn glowed, but Peter gently slapped the appendage, earning a high-pitched ‘ow’ from the alicorn as well as causing its magic to short out. The princess struggled uselessly, cursing her tiny frame. She already missed her old form.“Again. How old are you?” Peter questioned, keeping his hazel gaze inches away from Luna’s royal blue irises.Luna blankly stared at the stallion. “A true gentlecolt would never ask his mare such a question.”The stallion grinned. “I can stay here all night, no problem. Super strength proportionate to that of a spider and all. But wouldn’t it be embarrassing if your sister found you like this?”Luna gulped. The idiot had a point. Celestia always teased Luna for a number of reasons. She would never let her sister live it down, seeing her so helpless and pitiful under the grasp of a babbling twit. There was a chance Peter would let her up, but Luna exhaled, knowing the stallion was as stubborn as she was. This further fueled her irritation. Why did the fates leave her in such a tiny body? At least in her old form, she had a better chance to worm free because of her immense height and leverage, but at the moment, Luna was as helpless as newborn foal. She loathed this stallion at points.Peter’s grin widened. “I’m waiting.”Luna’s cheeks flushed to a shade of pink. “I should exile you to the moon.” Peter was digging his limbs into her body, causing the mare to grimace. She sighed. Countless eons. Only Celestia knew her true age, and Luna hated the constant reminders. The mare rolled her eyes, her face burning. “One thousand, six-hundred and eighty-three.” Luna slammed her eyes shut, waiting for the idiot to pelt her with laughter, but Peter simply relinquished his hold before taking a seat next to the telescope, leaning against the railing with his hooves behind his head. Luna furrowed a brow. “Aren’t you going to laugh?”Peter shook his head. “No. I actually like older girls.”Luna shrugged a response, silently stepping onto her box and returning her gaze into the telescope. Peter stole a glance at the mare from the corner of his eye, spotting the crimson blush within her cheeks, and he chuckled, also finding a small smile on Luna’s face.Age was only a number, anyway…

Chapter Thirteen “Number One Fan”
Derpy hummed to herself as she folded the last of the laundry. Fortunately, there wasn’t much to do, and the task took only an hour to complete. She organized the clothing, leaving each pile under the appropriate label. Derpy furrowed her brow at a black latex outfit, her crossed irises scanning the attire for several moments. It was quite troublesome differentiating Felicia’s choices of clothing from Rarity’s, but both mares were lenient, usually understanding the mix-ups.
Derpy took her chances, leaving the outfit in Rarity’s pile. The mare let out a sigh of relief. She was practically done, seeing as the washroom had been tidied back into decent condition, and there was only one piece of clothing left to attend to at the bottom of the basket. Derpy giggled, her golden gaze softened at the pair of crimson and blue tights. The mare lifted it gently, gazing at the black spider emblem before holding it near her muzzle. She inhaled deeply, sighing afterwards.Although the washing powder had cleansed the odors, Peter’s crisp scent was still emanating from within the suit. The stallion wore the Spider-Mane suit dutifully, more often than any piece of clothing in his possession. It was a part of him, his essence, and Derpy loved every ounce of the stallion, from the soft-spoken Peter Pony Parker to the reckless abandon of Spider-Mane. The mare planted her lips against the spider emblem before proceeding to fold the attire, but Derpy paused, gazing upon the costume further.“I wonder what it’s like?” she whispered, stretching the sleeves before doing the same to the body. Despite being in a relationship with Peter, the pegasus still considered herself to be Spidey’s number one fan. Derpy bit down on her lip. She looked back at the door before hesitantly returning her gaze to the costume. Peter was special, on a global scale, and Derpy was so average, recognized only for her constant blunders. Her ears lowered, disappearing into her mane. She wanted to be special for him, at least for a moment. Derpy nodded, her face flushing and ears perking. “I’ll do it… just this once.”Derpy slid her frame into the costume, losing her balance on several occasions. The Spandex hugged her body tightly, gripping at every region of her body. Her breathing grew shallow. It was a bit invading and restrictive as the mare managed to pull it over her shoulders and folded her wings underneath. Derpy frowned, her mind thinking back to Peter. He was graceful and majestic, maneuvering with the greatest of ease. How did he manage to move about so freely in this outfit?Slowly but surely, the costume settled into place and lightened its hold, allowing the mare’s muscles to relax. Derpy stared at herself, her face burning. It was a perfect fit, yet she felt small, unable to fill this space. Being Spider-Mane was not something just anypony could do. It was a gift, something a klutz like herself could never live up to. Derpy sighed, ready to remove the costume from her being, but the mare froze, her muscles locking against her will once she noticed the stallion standing by the door near the back of the room with a grin on his face.Peter chuckled as he closed the distance between himself and the mare. “This is a surprise. It’s not too often when a pony gets home and finds his marefriend trying on his clothes.”Once they were inches apart, the stallion stopped in his tracks. His hazel eyes remained locked on the blonde, and his brow lowered as his analysis continued. Derpy could only maintain eye contact for a few seconds before her gaze fell to the ground shamefully. Her hooves trembled, the temperature in her face continuing to rise, but her trepidation dissipated once Peter grinned, lowering his head until his lips pressed against Derpy’s.He pulled away, his smile intact. “The tights look great on you. It really shows off your curves.” The stallion edged over, his mouth landing on the mare’s ear before he nibbled on it playfully. Derpy’s eyes threatened to roll into the back of her head, but she allowed herself to melt in Peter’s grasp. He paused, allowing his hot breath to brush against her fur. “I’m easily your number one fan.”Derpy squirmed underneath the stallion, whining. “Don’t say such things! I’m not…” Her lips betrayed her initial shyness, curling into a sheepish smile. She hesitantly broke away from Peter’s hold, instead choosing to sit by his side. He obliged, allowing the mare to rest her head on his shoulder after he took a seat as well. Derpy raised a hoof and held it across from her face. “Peter. What’s it like being a hero? I only tried on your costume to see what it felt like, but--” she trailed off, her face flushing as her free hoof traveled to where her tail rested. Shifting in place, the mare turned back, dismayed. “Really, it only gave me a wedgie. How do you do it?”Peter chuckled. “I get the wedgies, too. It takes some getting used to, especially when it rides up the crotch.”Derpy giggled. “I’m serious, Peter.”Peter sobered, directing his stern gaze to the ceiling. “Really. Anypony can be a hero. Ponies say I’m a hero because I can punch things really hard and lift heavy stuff, but there are heroes all around right in the open. The knights of Canterlot never get the credit they deserve. Luna stays up every night and loses out on sleep to make sure we’re all safe. Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie have saved the world more times than I have. Cheerilee teaches the fillies so much. Zecora provides a voice of reason for our house. It’s really just about everypony doing what they can. You’re a hero too, Derpy.”The mare’s eyes widened. “Me? What did I do? I’m not a hero.”Peter placed his hoof over Derpy’s shoulder. “It’s true. You’re an amazing mother to Dinky. You’re giving her everything that you have to offer, even when some of the villagers give you a hard time during a few of your missteps. It really makes me to just want to be there for you. You’re always so supportive. It’s high time somepony gives you a little back.” The stallion nodded, kissing the mare’s cheek. “You are a hero, to me and Dinky.”Derpy found herself nodding, her eyes moist. “Oh. Thank you, Peter. That means so much,” she whispered, closing her eyes as she nestled her head into the stallion’s chest. Peter brushed his hooves through her golden mane, prompting the mare to snuggle against his body further. “I love you.”“I love you, too,” Peter grinned, kissing the top of Derpy’s head. They sat in a comfortable silence for several moments, but the stallion’s mind wandered, as did his eyes. Peter’s face burned, his thoughts lingering on a certain matter. He freed his gaze from the mare’s tail and sighed. “Hey, Derpy? Would you mind wearing the costume tonight?”Derpy furrowed her brow. “Huh? Why?” Peter was silent, alternating his gaze between Derpy and her tail. The mare’s eyes slowly widened and ears perked, her mind registering what the stallion was implying. Though her face was a fair shade of crimson, Derpy smiled mischievously and rubbed her flank against Peter’s. “I don’t see why not. We still have time before everypony comes back.”Peter smiled, gently placing the mare on her back and positioning his body over hers. “We’d better make the most of it then.”

Chapter Fourteen “Distractions Galore”
Twilight’s violet eyes scrolled through the walls of text in her book, taking in the history of Ignus Solaris and the Equestrian Saber. The day was slow, giving the mare ample time to pick up on her studies. It was a simple pleasure, but Twilight reveled in the chance to learn about something new. The mare sighed. Peace was surprisingly difficult to come by, understandably so considering there were eleven ponies living under one household, but Twilight would savor every moment of it, evident by her smile.
“Twilight!”The alicorn yelped, tossing the book into the air before catching it. She turned to the side, glaring at the stallion standing next to her desk. “Peter.” By the stars, Peter could sneak up onanypony without even trying . “What do you want? I’m busy.”Peter was sprawled across the floor, guffawing at the reaction his princess gave. “I’m sorry! I just wanted to surprise you!” He leveled his breathing, pausing to wipe the tears from his eyes. The stallion shrugged, scratching the back of his ear. “Well, that, and I’m bored. Let’s go do something.”Twilight huffed, raising the book back over her eyes. “Go play with Rainbow or Spitfire.”Peter shrugged. “They’re out doing Wonderbolt stuff.”“Mingle with Zecora. You might actually learn something from her,” Twilight groaned, flipping through a page.Peter poked the mare’s shoulder. “She’s meditating. You know how she hates being interrupted.”Twilight arched a brow, narrowing her eyes. “And I don’t? Go away, Peter! There are plenty of spare members of the herd you can bother!”“Twilight,” Peter murmured, continuing to poke the alicorn’s shoulder. Twilight inhaled, keeping her gaze centered on her book in spite of the stallion’s stubbornness. After a few moments, Peter hopped to his hooves and stomped out of the room. “Fine! Be that way! I see how it is!”The princess sighed contently. It wasn’t too often that Spider-Mane gave up. She settled into her seat.“Twilight!”The mare ripped a page from the book at the sound of the voice. Twilight gritted her teeth, slowly turning her head to the door, but her eyes widened at her snow-white coated intruder.“Darling! Peter told me you needed me! He said you were in dire need of a new dress!” Rarity declared, taking a hold of one of Twilight’s limbs before stretching a measuring tape across her hoof. “I am not fond of last minute appointments, but I will gladly make an exception for one of my dearest friends.” The unicorn nodded after more measurements were taken. “Okay, Twilight. I have what I need. We should go downstairs. I have the perfect dress in mind for--”Twilight’s hoof fell over Rarity’s mouth. “Wait. I love the consideration, but now is not a good time. Let’s finish this tomorrow morning, okay?”The fashionista took the hint, nodding as she went on about matching colors and possible fabrics. Twilight glanced off to the side as she magically repaired the torn page, placing it back within her book. She disappeared in a flash of light, materializing on the balcony of her home. Twilight cursed under her breath. Peter’s quick surrender made sense, and it would have only worsened had she stayed in the same place. At the very least, the alicorn could have some peace.Or so she thought. The door fell off the hinges behind her position, and Derpy rolled next to Twilight’s position. “Oops! Uh. Hi, Twilight! Peter said you were looking for me!” She reached to the side, lifting a plate off the ground before offering it to the princess. “Hungry? I made you some muffins!”Twilight vanished from sight, appearing in the main lobby, but before she could hope to read, Applejack walked from around the corner. “Hey, Twi! Pete said you wanted something. Ah… Um. You okay, sugarcube? Ya’ll look as angry as a rattlesnake trapped in a pickle barrel.”Twilight disappeared, only to find Trixie waiting for her in the basement. “There you are, Twilight Sparkle. Peter has informed me that you are in need of my services. Rest assured. There is nothing the Great and Powerful Trixie can not accomplish.”Quite some time had passed. Luna watched the spectacle unfold. Twilight tore through the hallways with her mane set ablaze, her coat a bright shade of white and crimson irises slited. Fluttershy walked next to the alicorn, both sharing a glance before Celestia’s apprentice knocked over a shelf in her anger, sending another flying through a wall.“I noticed Peter has hidden himself in your closet, Fluttershy. Would you mind telling me why Twilight is so determined to find him?” the alicorn questioned, furrowing her brow.Fluttershy brushed her hoof against the back of another, recoiling as Twilight’s voice echoed against the walls. “Um… nothing. Peter’s just playing Hide-and-Seek with her again.”“That’s not what this game is called,” Felicia chuckled, earning the collective gazes of both mares.Luna tilted her head to the side. “What do you call this activity?”Felicia stood upright, folding her hooves across her chest, but her smile was honest, even as another explosion erupted from downstairs. “Hide-or-Die.”Luna’s smile widened in spite of the surrounding explosions. “Marvelous! I shall join in the next round!”

Chapter Fifteen “Early Morning Shave”
Peter blankly stared at his reflection within the mirror. The lower half of his face was covered in fluffy white cream. He looked like Santa Claus, if he was thin and a pony. The stallion rolled his eyes. This day was sure to happen sooner or later. At least, he was certain it would back when he was a human, but Peter felt confident that stallions wouldn’t need to shave thanks to their fur. However, that wasn’t the case.
Some stallions had moustaches and others wore beards. Peter shook his head. He didn’t even have a beard; just rough, prickly hairs that grew around his chin. It even matched his mane. It didn’t make any sense. Peter glanced off to the side. Actually, it made sense, at least in comparison to his alien background, radioactive blood, or the fact that he agreed to host a herd with eleven mares. Now that didn’t make sense.Holding the blade under the running water, Peter scowled at the mirror. That was the flaw of living with eleven mares: he, the lone stallion, had no chance in group discussions. Apparently, most of the mares hated the idea of their stallion having facial hair while the rest just didn’t approve for personal reasons. Peter frowned. Mares and their sensitive touch. He started at the top of his cheek, guiding the blade across his muzzle with several, small swipes. The last thing Peter wanted to do was upset the girls, not when he was finally getting the hang of this herd stuff. He didn’t want to be ostracized, not by all eleven of them.A hard set of knocks banged at the door. “Peter!”The razor slid off course, streaking his cheek with a crimson laceration. “Crap!” Peter recoiled, dropping his blade in the sink. The foam seeped into the cut, setting the right side of the stallion’s face ablaze. A thick trail of blood escaped from the wound. This was a gash. Simple as that. Peter gritted his teeth. One would think that a cut so small wouldn’t cause somepony with super strength this much pain. The knocks at the door grew in volume, and the stallion turned, aghast. “What?!”“Peter!” Applejack called out, walking into the bathroom. “Ah need your help.”The stallion refused to divert his attention away from the mirror, wiping away any traces of foam that threatened to enter the cut on his face. “Doesn’t everypony? Can’t it wait?”Applejack shook her head, holding out an unopened jar. “No. Twilight used her magic to close this jar of jelly. Now Ah can’t get it open! Lend a girl a helping hoof and-- Are you bleeding?” The blonde peeked up at the sink, spotting the mixture of blood and foam before directing her gaze to the stallion, particularly the gash on his cheek. “What in tarnation are you doing in here?”Peter fumed, clutching at his face. “I was shaving before somepony knocked at the door and broke my concentration!”“Oh,” Applejack muttered, placing her jar down before giving the stallion a coy smirk. “Ah’ll patch you up.”Sighing, Peter waved his hoof dismissively. “It’s fine. I’ll heal.”The blonde reached out and took his hoof, leading him to the bathtub. “Just sit. This won’t take long.” Peter readied to stand, but the mare shot him a glare. “Ah said sit .” Applejack opened the cabinet, retrieving the proper materials. She cleaned the stallion’s face with a cold cloth, tuning out his protests about mares liking scars. Her hoof softly smoothed a cream over the gash before the other placed a bandage over the sealed cut. Before Peter could react, Applejack planted her lips against his cheek, frowning. “You didn’t shave here.”“You didn’t give me a chance to get that far,” Peter stated, pointing his hoof at his other cheek. “At least I got this side done.”Applejack obliged, planting a series of soft kisses on his smooth fur. Peter grinned, feeling the mare’s lips curl into a smile. She removed her hat before deepening her kisses. The stallion leaned into her advances. Now, shaving didn’t seem so bad. It had its perks, making the girls happy. Peter reached out and lifted Applejack bridal style, slamming the door shut with his hoof before stepping into the bathtub. As the blonde yanked the shower curtain closed, her stallion grinned. He was eager to see how well Applejack trimmed herself.

Chapter Sixteen “For the Birds”
Spitfire stood in the basement, throwing several kicks into the punching bag.
“Yo, Spitfire! Come here! You have to check this out!” Rainbow called out from the other side of the room.
Leaping into the air, Spitfire finished her combo with a tail whip. “Coming,” she murmured, taking a towel and wiping the sweat from her forehead. Spitfire approached the scene, finding Rainbow Dash standing before a small collection of wooden planks. They were stacked, some nailed together to form a structure of sorts. Spitfire turned to the pegasus with an arched brow. “Okay, Dash. What’s up?”
Rainbow smirked, shifting her head until a crack was heard. “Nothing. Check this out!” Suddenly, the mare hopped high into the air and lunged forward with a diving kick, breaking the board at the structure’s highest point. Once she landed, her hoof slid across the ground and shattered one of the makeshift walls. Rainbow chuckled confidently. “What do you think?”
Spitfire furrowed a brow, nodding. “Not bad, but I can top that.” The pegasus punched a plank in half, following up with a back-hoof, and the broken piece of wood flew into the structure, knocking over the remnants of the wall Rainbow destroyed. Spitfire brushed the dust of her hooves, grinning. “Ready to give up, Dash?”
“Hardly,” she scoffed, speeding towards the structure before her image disappeared into a rainbow-patterned blur. She crashed into the wood, causing it to explode. Pieces of broken wood scattered, landing all across the room, and what little pieces remained disintegrated into splinters and sawdust. Rainbow skidded to a halt next to Spitfire, not without flexing her muscles. “Oh, yeah! Who’s the top mare?!”
Spitfire chuckled and folded her hooves across her chest, stealing a glance at the remains of the structure. “That was great. Good idea setting this up, Dash.”
Rainbow’s rose eyes widened. “Huh? I didn’t set anything up.”
Both pegasi stared at each other with befuddled gazes before they turned to the door at the sound of approaching voices. Eventually, Peter and Fluttershy walked into the room.
“I’m so happy we managed to finish,” Fluttershy sighed, giggling. “It took so long.”
Peter grinned, nodding. “Tell me about it. Three whole nights without sleep, but the birdhouse will be great for those canaries you’re taking care of.”
Slack-jawed, Spitfire’s complexion paled, and Rainbow frantically alternated her sight between the approaching pair and the damage she inflicted on their work. The stallion and mare turned their shared gazes to the structure, mainly its remains. Peter’s jaw hung open, and Fluttershy shrieked, her voice echoing across the walls. The pegasus directed a glare towards Rainbow, who chuckled nervously and shrugged helplessly. Fluttershy was silent, but the color in her bright blue eyes darkened, flashing to a dark shade of crimson.
She roared before lunging out, delivering a series of punches, kicks, bites, and even wild swings that utilized nearby wooden planks. Peter slammed his eyes shut as the meek pegasus thrashed Spitfire and Rainbow to the utmost degree, cringing after she threw the pair away. After a few moments, Fluttershy walked away, still fuming, and Peter quietly followed, patting the mare over the shoulder in an attempt to diminish her anger.
Rainbow lifted her head, the rest of her body hidden under the broken, shattered remains of the structure. “I think we’re going to need more birdhouses.”
Spitfire groaned, managing to pry her head from underneath the pile and Rainbow’s weight. “...and a defibrillator.”
“Wait, what’s that?” Rainbow asked, perplexed.
“You don’t want to know.”

Chapter Seventeen “You Always Fall”
Applejack whistled nonchalantly as she leaned against the railing on her balcony. Her legs were positioned between the wooden guards, allowing the mare to safely watch the serene beauty of the Whitetail Woods. Her emerald gaze blankly shifted to the side. Derpy was leaning on the top of the railing as far as she could without falling, flapping her wings to help maintain her balance. Applejack grimaced, recoiling whenever the pegasus was close to falling off. Derpy made it a hobby to lean against the railing, but she was danger-prone, hurting herself, somepony else, or inflicting damage on her surroundings. The last thing Applejack wanted on this day was to file another insurance claim.
“Yer’ going to fall, Derpy,” Applejack stated, her hooves fidgeting.Derpy closed her eyes and shook her head. “No, I won’t!” She leaned further, causing the farmpony to sweat. “It’s so pretty!”Applejack’s hoof met her forehead with a smack. “Derpy, please! The last thing Ah want is-- THAT!” she blurted out, the pegasus swaying over the edge. She reached out, only to stop abruptly because of her confined legs. Her eyes widened as she lunged again, but her reach was out of range. Applejack slammed her eyes shut. “Whoa, nelly!”“Crap!” Peter exclaimed, nearly materializing next to Applejack. The stallion’s senses and agility were as astute as ever, allowing him to hop across the balcony and land perfectly on the railing in an upright standing position. Never had Applejack been so happy to see her stallion, even if he glared at the pegasus with a pulsing vein over his forehead. “Derpy! What have I told you about that?! One of these days I’m going to let you fall!”Despite hanging upside down by her hooves, Derpy giggled as the wind swayed her about. “You won’t let me fall.”Peter’s brow twitched before he exhaled, pulling the mare back onto the balcony. “Yeah. I know.” The stallion returned to his place against the wall, falling back to a sitting position, and Applejack mirrored his action, taking the available spot next to him. She opened her mouth, prepared to laugh at Peter’s expense, but the stallion shot up, roaring at an all too familiar sight. “DERPY! GET OFF THE RAIL!”

Chapter Nineteen “Cuddle Me Not”
Rainbow Dash was not a cuddler. She was Cloudsdale’s toughest mare, almost hating the idea of intimate contact. Growing up, the pegasus hated hugs, even from her closest friends. That trait seemed to have lessened a bit, Rainbow Dash not minding a hug if a friend needed it, but she was fairly certain intimacy was not her greatest strength. Exasperated, she laid in her bed, and impatiently tapped her hoof against her chest. So much can change in a short amount of time. For Rainbow, she was in a relationship, and she just wanted to cuddle with her coltfriend. It was hypocritical. She had grown soft!
Her. THE Rainbow Dash! Soft! Eugh... It was a learning process, something that Rainbow loved and hated at the same time. Peter was special, giving the pegasus the space she needed without question, but the mare loathed herself for requesting it more often than not. Sometimes. Rainbow needed her space to train, to be the best. She had grown up with this mindset, but her space gave her unending silence. It helped her sort out her thoughts, yet she had a habit for thinking too much about nothing in particular. Peter gave her the space she wanted. That was fine, but Rainbow didn’t want to be alone, not tonight. Unfortunately, she couldn’t bring herself to just ask for the stallion’s company. Rainbow blankly stared at the ceiling. That was unnecessary. The schedule indicated that Peter was hers for the next three nights. Why was she acting like this? She loved Peter. He made her feel like a mare, being gentle and affectionate with her. Rainbow exhaled, smothering her face beneath a pillow. That’s what she hated. Cuddling was for softies. She didn’t want to be held by Peter’s strong hooves, to lose herself in his warm embrace. Rainbow threw her pillow across the room, her frustration reaching a new zenith. A few choice words hung on the tip of her tongue. Peter was taking an exceptionally long time to come to bed. If he took too much longer, Rainbow would fly out and bring him to bed herself. Her mind chided her behavior. She was acting desperate. The pegasus rolled her eyes. At the moment, she didn’t care what she thought. Fortunately, the sounds of hoofsteps caused her ears to perk, and the door slowly opened, revealing her stallion. Rainbow smiled. Peter looked adorable, his sheepish grin coupled with his half-closed eyes. He carried a plate in his mouth, balancing a large sandwich on top of it with ease. Rainbow shook her head, groaning. “Hungry? You’re always eating!” Closing the door with his back hoof, Peter simply shrugged before climbing onto the bed. Rainbow allowed her chin to rest on her hoof as she blankly watched the stallion as he took a chomp out of the sandwich. She wanted to fall asleep in the hooves of her lover - not a munching, chewing idiot. “Want some?” Peter asked innocently, extending the sandwich to the mare. Rainbow arched a brow, only to nod. “Sure.” She took the treat, biting carefully. Peter always made the best sandwiches, this one lathered with the perfect amount of lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, and pineapples. She sighed contently, meeting the hazel gaze that settled on her. Peter shifted his position, wrapping his hooves around the mare’s waist from behind, and Rainbow leaned back, resting the back of her head against his shoulder. After taking another bite, the pegasus stifled a giggle as she felt Peter kiss the back of her neck. She leaned further against the stallion, offering him what little remained of his sandwich. “Want some?” Peter snorted, laughing lightly, and Rainbow mirrored his action, her previous frustrations having dissolved completely. She was such a hypocrite, but it was okay. Peter never judged her, so she had no reason to either.

Chapter Twenty “Collector’s Set”
Peter staggered down the stairs and into the laundry room, rubbing his eyes before letting out a low yawn. He made the mistake of doing his laundry past midnight, falling asleep while doing the task. Granted, he only had his Spider-Mane costume to clean, but the last thing he wanted to hear Rarity complain about was mold. She vowed if her stallion destroyed one more costume, Spidey would rock some pink highlights. Peter groaned. That mare never held back on her threats.
As he stumbled into the laundry room, his hazel eyes widened as they fell on a cute tush wiggling in the air in front of the washing machine, matched by a tail that followed its motion. Twilight’s plot was smaller, and Zecora’s was thicker, very much so. This was nearly a perfect match in between, like Rarity’s sweet backside. He knew who it was, easily. Peter’s mind chastised his perverted memory, all while screaming for his body to wake up. He could have simply told who the mare was by looking at her fur color and cutie mark. The stallion shook his head, chuckling. There was no fun in that. Besides, he had to be prepared should he ever go colorblind one day. Exasperated, Peter rolled his eyes. It was too early in the morning to argue with himself. “Trixie?” The mare shot up, knocking her head against the washer machine’s interior. She pulled herself out, rubbing her hooves against the knot growing in her mane. “Peter? By the stars! Must you tread so lightly?” The stallion grinned, noting the mare was wearing a fluffy robe. “Loading the dryer? Mind if we share?” he suggested, spinning his costume in his hoof. Trixie glanced at Peter nervously, alternating her gaze between him and the dryer, but she huffed, snatching the tights from his grasp before shoving it with the rest of her load. Once she was finished, Peter set the time and temperature accordingly, taking a seat against the wall afterward. Trixie joined his side, remaining unusually silent as she kept her nervous gaze centered on the dryer. The hours were late, for both of their tastes. Peter drifted off and drooled on the mare’s shoulder, much to her chagrin. After a duration, the machine beeped, and Trixie hopped to her hooves, causing the stallion to slip to the ground. Groaning, he rose and rubbed the sleep from his eyes. Trixie opened the hatch, pausing to gaze at Peter. “I’ll grab my stuff first. Surely you wouldn’t mind?” Peter shrugged, obliging the mare. He turned around, keeping his back to her. “Ladies, first.” After a few moments, Trixie made her way to the door. “See you in the morning,” she called over her shoulder, never looking back as she galloped out of sight. Peter paid the mare’s behavior no mind. He was still asleep in a sense, at least he wanted to be. Whistling, the stallion reached into the dryer and retrieved his signature heroic attire, but a silky, crimson G-string fell from one of the sleeves. Peter’s eyes widened as he picked it up with a hoof, using the other to stretch it out. Trixie, the narcissistic and blunt member of the Parker herd wore something like this. Peter chided himself. The mare was reserved in her own right, but she was open, at least to him. Perhaps that was the reason why she was so flustered earlier. Peter’s brow lowered. It was strange. Ponies were just fine running around naked in Equestria, but they seemed to have had reservations about clothing to some extent. This was understandable in Trixie’s case. She was so prude, usually. Peter grinned. He didn’t mind. All of the girls had their demons, each frisky in their own right. Peter’s mouth hung open, releasing a low yawn. It was too late to think right now. Folding the silky material up with his costume, the stallion trotted out of the room.
The following morning, Trixie entered her room, finding a folded piece of paper over her pillow. She lifted it with her magic, squeaking once her eyes fell on her secret pair of crimson underwear. Trixie’s face flushed to a shade of pink as she read through the note.‘Is it part of a set?’ -Peter Trixie threw her hoof over her mouth to silence a scream. That’s what she deserved for listening to Rarity and Felicia. They said Peter was a sucker for silk, not that Trixie cared. The unicorn rolled her eyes, the temperature in her face continuing to rise. Nay, the days of refuting the truth were long, long, long gone. Of course she cared. Sadly, she cared too much about pleasing that idiot of a coltfriend. Writing a new note, Trixie traveled to Peter’s door and placed the envelope by the knob. She would have the last word. That much she knew.‘Yes, it is. It even came with a cute black corset. You should give an honest opinion. Tonight.’ -Trixie

Chapter Twenty-One “Knitting”
Trixie wandered into the living room, her blue gaze fixed on the book in her magical grasp. She slowed to a halt, finding a few members of the herd hurdled together. Peter and Rarity stood over Rainbow Dash, who sat with a pair of threading needles in her grasp and a ball of yarn next to her tail. The pegasus murmured as she worked, her attention fixed sternly on the knitted creation in her lap.
“What is going on here?” Trixie questioned, placing her book on the nearest cabinet. Rarity clapped her hooves together and giggled. “It is wonderful! Rainbow Dash has decided to try knitting!” Peter nodded. “It was my idea. We all know how Skittles has a bit of a temper, right? Knitting’s a great way for her to control and channel her anger. An outlet. Everyone has them. Whenever Spitfire’s mad, she trains. Whenever Twilight’s mad, she reads. Whenever Rarity’s mad, she goes to the spa. For Dashie, it might be knitting.” The stallion grinned and rubbed his hoof over Rainbow’s mane, earning a small smile from the pegasus. “She’s a natural! Give her a few months, and Rarity will have a design partner.” Trixie bit her lip, stifling her smile as her mind slowly registered everypony’s words. She continued to watch Rainbow Dash, eventually bursting into guffaws. Trixie pointed, keeping one hoof over her eyes, and her laughter grew in volume, causing Rainbow to groan under her breath. “Laugh it up, Trixie. I’m not going to let you get to me,” Rainbow Dash murmured, gritting her teeth as she continued to work on her knitting. Trixie walked up to Dash, her laughter never ceasing. “Oh, I’m sorry! I had no idea you were so girly! Are you knitting a skirt for your tea party?” Rainbow growled, slamming her eyes shut, but she continued to knit, albeit much faster than she was previously. Peter placed his hoof over her shoulder. “Ignore her, Rainbow.” “What’s next, Rainbow?” Trixie snorted, playfully waving her hooves across from Dash’s face. “Are you going to play with your doll collection? Ha! You claim you’re so tough! I should have known you were the softest out of the entire herd!” Beads of sweat formed over Rainbow’s forehead, and she gritted her teeth, small traces of smoke forming from the rapidly spinning threading needles in her hooves. Peter shook his head. “Keep it up, Dashie. Block it out.” Trixie skipped across the room, laughing uproariously. “My name is Rainbow Dash, and I’m a pretty princess!” Rainbow suddenly stopped, exhaling. She placed her needles down, sharing a hoofbump with Peter. “Finished.” Peter nodded, smiling. “Great work, Skittles.” Trixie grinned, wiping the tears from her eyes. “Whatever did you knit, Rainbow? A dress for your prom? I’m afraid you’re five years too late!” She continued to laugh, earning a blank stare from Rarity. However, Rainbow Dash smirked evilly, reaching down for her knitted creation. “It’s never too late,” she murmured, holding up a pair of boxing gloves. She punched her hooves together and cackled. Trixie shrieked, galloping past Peter, and Rainbow Dash pursued her, chasing the unicorn all across the room. “Thanks, Pete! I feel better already!” Peter shook his head, slamming his hoof against his forehead. “This isn’t what I meant by focusing your anger…” Rarity furrowed her brow, her ears perking as a commotion erupted from the next room. “At least it minimizes the bruising, darling.”

Chapter Twenty-Two “Cookies ‘n Cream”
“Slow night,” Spider-Mane murmured as he swung across the skies of Manehattan on a strand of webbing.
The city was quiet under the moon’s milky gaze, most of its inhabitants asleep or indoors. Even during the hours of the day, Manehattan was a peaceful city. It was a welcome change from New York, where crimes occurred every hour, but Peter sighed, admitting that such serene settings were boring at times. A part of him missed the neverending excitement, but the rest of him reveled in the peace, for it never lasted as long as he hoped. Releasing his webbing, Spider-Mane soared through the air gracefully before landing on the edge of a building’s rooftop. The stallion stood on his hind legs and lowered into a squatting position. “Manehattan’s in the clear. Let’s call it a night.” Materializing in a flash of light, Luna appeared next to the stallion, floating. “I suggest another sweep of the city.” The wind ruffled her sky-blue mane. “One must remain vigilant, even during times of peace. Evil can strike at any--” Peter’s hoof fell over the mare’s shoulder. “Take it easy, Batmare. We’ve been on patrol for five hours. Can we lighten up a tiny bit?” Luna glared at the stallion, particularly at the name that escaped from his mouth. Despite the mare’s shortened stature, she was still as intimidating as ever, her bemused glare causing Peter to chuckle nervously. “Fine. We’ll do a couple more sweeps of the city, but we have to get something to eat first.” Removing his hoof, Spider-Mane leaned over the edge of the building and pointed at a neon-lit shop down near the street. “I scream for ice cream!” Luna blankly stared at the stallion. “You are undisciplined. We mustn’t pause while we work.” “We can’t focus if we’re malnourished,” Spider-Mane quickly replied, stretching his hooves high over his head before waving dismissively. “Think of this as a lunch break.” Luna sighed, shaking her head in defeat. “Unbelievable.” Peter chuckled victoriously. “Sweet!” “Why did I fall for one so childish?” Her question was clearly rhetorical, mirroring her inner voice, but Luna smiled as Spider-Mane eagerly dove over the edge of the building. It was strange, seeing one so powerful act so youthful and immature. Spider-Mane spun at the last moment, landing perfectly on his hooves, and Luna vanished, materializing a few hoof-lengths from the shop. Peter walked up to the door and held it open for the princess, earning a small smile from the mare as she accepted the gesture. “I thank you for having a chivalrous heart.” Spider-Mane followed the mare inside, grinning as he removed his mask. Equestria had its perks over Earth. The shop was empty with the exception of the cashier. “Welcome to the Parlor, can I take your order?” the mare behind the register greeted, never looking up at her customers. Peter pulled out a stool by the main counter, sharing a glance with Luna. “Do you want anything? I’m buying.” The princess merely closed her eyes and scoffed, accepting the seat despite initial protests. Peter shrugged, hopping into the next available seat with a smile. “I would like a large helping of cookies n’ cream. Two spoons, please.” Nodding, the mare grabbed a container and dropped three scoops inside, never lifting her gaze. “One large cup of cookies n’ cream. That’ll be…” she trailed off, finally looking up, “six... bits. Oh.” Peter took the container and nonchalantly dropped over a dozen bits on the mare’s hoof. “Keep the change!” The cashier’s eyes never stopped widening, and her mouth hung so low that it nearly hit the counter. Peter, with his spoon in hoof, shoved some of the cold treat into his mouth, sighing contently. He edged the container closer to Luna, pausing until the mare reluctantly lifted her spoon with her magic and joined in the ice cream’s consumption. Both ponies continued to eat in comfortable silence in spite of the cashier’s gawking stare. Peter chuckled. “We should get something to go.” “This is going to be a very long night,” Luna exhaled, shaking her head. Peter grinned. “Only if you want it to be.” The stallion smirked. “Stop me if you’ve heard this one. Spider-Mane and Princess Luna walk into a bar…” Luna rolled her eyes. “Stop.”

Chapter Twenty-Three “Release”
Rarity bit down on her lip, trying to loosen the tightening knot in her stomach. She had hoped this time would never come, but the fates were cruel, leading her to this dreadful moment. Rarity shook her head disapprovingly. There was nothing to say on her part, yet silence was perhaps the largest statement one could make, especially when it revolved around a personal matter. She wanted to hide, to drift freely in the catch of the wind. It would have been far less painful than this. Spike stared at her, his large jade eyes glistening with tears. His lips moved again, pleading out his declaration. Rarity slammed her eyes shut and cringed. This was desperation, a futile attempt to change the winds of fate. The attempt was fruitless. Rarity was happy: with her new lifestyle, her home, her herd, and Peter. She couldn’t give it all up, not for something she didn’t believe in. Rarity chided herself. This could have been avoided ages ago. She could not undo the decay of all the things that Spike had imagined they could possibly be. Rarity knew how heart wrenching it felt, to love somepony you couldn’t be with, but Twilight saved her from that pain, deciding to share her special somepony. Now Peter was theirs, not just hers. It was a delicate balance, one everypony managed to make work. Spike spoke out again, freeing the mare from her self-induced trance. The sound was like a coastal wind lost amongst a tempestuous day: lost through waves crashing against the rocks. Rarity averted her gaze from Spike to the darkening sky above, barely visible through the collection of trees in the Whitetail Woods. She had hoped the baby dragon would grow out of his crush and pursue somepony closer to his age. Spike was sweet, a kindred soul, and here she was, about to break his heart. The first tiny bits of rain fell from the clouds, shimmering trails running down the leaves, branches, and Rarity’s cheeks. The mare cursed under her breath. It was a clever metaphor. Rarity licked her lips, begging for the words to come to her, and she fought back her tears, pleading that the day would come at some time in the future when Spike could forgive her. “Spike… I’m sorry.” Spike shook his head, clenching his claws. “Why are you doing this to me?” Rarity maintained eye contact with the dragon, her heart wrenching by the second. He pouted, gritting his teeth. “What does he have that I don’t?!” The answer was simple yet difficult. Rarity turned her back to the dragon, knowing his gaze was fixed on her. Rain continued to pour. She couldn’t look back. That would betray her feelings, even if it left a friend crushed under the weight of the world. Each step she took felt heavier than the last, and the further they parted, perhaps signified a drawing bridge: held by the will of one end yet broken by the carelessness of the other. Rarity knew there was a chance that she and Spike could never be as close as they used to be, not as long as Peter was there. “Rarity!” Spike yelled, his voice as fragile as glass. “What does Peter have that I don’t!?” She stopped, placing her hoof over her chest before leaving Spike in the rain. “Peter has... my heart.”

Chapter Twenty-Four “Enough is Enough!”
He looked fine. It wasn’t a big deal.
Peter blankly stared at the mares that surrounded his position. Emergency meetings were the worst. Whenever the herd had one, Peter was at the forefront. Usually, they talked, voiced their complaints, and a compromise was met. However, this was different. The girls had no intention of talking. Peter furrowed his brow, glancing to the side. Rainbow gripped one of his hooves, holding it to the ground while Applejack and Trixie did the same with his other limbs. Rarity lowered her head until she was in Peter’s line of sight, a pair of scissors levitating by her head. It wasn’t that big of a deal. Really! “I think you girls are blowing this way out of proportion,” Peter groaned, shifting his hooves. Rainbow Dash tightened her grip. “No way, dude. You need this!” Rarity’s lips curled into an evil smile. “We tried to reason with you, but you refused to listen, darling.” Applejack turned her body, keeping Peter’s leg in a joint lock. “Pete. Come on. Just make this easier for yourself and us.” Peter scoffed. He had super strength, enough to knock a dragon out with a single punch. Peter could toss the ponies around like NFL quarterbacks throw footballs down the field, but the stallion sighed, knowing he wouldn’t even consider an option that would hurt his mares. Pausing, Peter considered their words. None of the girls ever lied, at least when it came to honest opinions. If they were going this far to carry out an objective, it must have been serious. Peter rolled his eyes. Mares had a horrible tendency to blow the smallest things out of proportion, but there was one who always voiced the earnest truth. Peter frowned, directing his gaze to Trixie. “Hey. Is it that bad?” He thought it looked nice. It was different. Fluttershy liked it, but Spitfire thought it was a bit frilly. Trixie shook her head, patting Peter’s hoof. “I am sorry, but your head looks like a watermelon when you wear the mask.” Rarity sighed, using her magic to stretch Peter’s strands of mane out as far as they could go. “Your mane is simply too long now. You haven’t cut it once ever since we first met.” Applejack nodded. “Sorry, partner, but we think you look better with your mane short.” The scissors snipped, cutting away the loose ends. Rarity’s smile couldn’t grow any wider. “You will look marvelous! Trust me.” Peter rolled his eyes. “Eh, it’s not like you’re giving me a choice.” Trixie grinned. “Hardly, but you must admit that you will look more masculine.” Rainbow shook her head, relinquishing her grip once the stallion ceased resisting. “Ponies still think I’m into mares, even though I’m not… Well, heck. I never was to begin with, and it doesn’t help you look like a mare with your mane like that. The last thing we need is everypony thinking we’re a herd without a stallion.” Peter blankly stared at the ceiling, exhaling. Maybe it did look a little frilly.

Chapter Four "Of Chocolates and Teases"
Trixie used her magic to peel the foil away from the chocolate piece. Kisses, they were called. She made a mental note to thank Peter’s aunt for the gift. Chocolates had always been a guilty pleasure for her and rare treat. After all, if eaten excessively, they could be rather fattening. Trixie was a health guru at heart, but she had to spoil herself at least once in a while. The chocolate fell into her mouth. The unicorn moaned as the tasty morsel melted on her tongue, filling her senses with immense sweetness.
"So extravagant," she sighed, trying to savor every moment. Her gaze fell on the pack of sweets on her bed. "Why is it called a 'Kiss'? They aren't shaped like hearts or anything of the sort." Down the hallway, Trixie found Peter sitting at his table, adjusting his web-shooters with a cookie in his mouth.. An evil smile formed on the mare's face. She left her spot on the bed and trotted over in his direction. It was rather mean, but Trixie couldn't resist such an opportunity. "Hey, Parker," she said, placing her hooves on his shoulders. He glanced around, raising his brow at the mare. Trixie grinned. "Want some Kisses? I have plenty." Peter snorted and bit down on his cookie, accidentally choking on the treat in the process. He struggled to gather his bearings (and oxygen). After an embarrassing amount of time, Peter turned around, his eyes wide. "Excuse me?" he gulped. She edged closer, allowing her hot breath to brush against her friend's cheek. "What's wrong? Do you not want my Kisses?" The expression on Peter's face morphed into that of shock and horror. Beads of sweat trickled down his forehead and over his flushed features. Her lips were so close to his. Finally, he managed to speak. "Trixie...?" Before anything could have been said, Trixie's horn glowed, causing three chocolate Kisses to fall on the table in front of him. She patted his shoulders playfully and giggled. "I hope you enjoy them. They're rather sweet." Her task complete, Trixie skipped out of the room and jumped back onto her bed. Her ears perked as Peter yelled several 'colorful' phrases in his room. It seemed Parker assumed she meant the affectionate type of kisses. Closing her eyes, Trixie smirked victoriously. That was exactly the reaction she wanted.

Chapter Eighteen “Old Habits Die Hard”
Peter skated across the smooth ice, tracing a figure eight onto the surface before skidding to a halt. He rarely ice-skated, even on Earth, but his Spider-agility practically made him an expert, and a quick learner. However, Felicia was not performing so smoothly, as the sky-blue mare was sitting at the middle of the lake with an exasperated expression. She was still adjusting to her Equestrian form. While Felicia managed to demonstrate her cat-like reflexes on occasions, she was prone to make many mistakes. Understandably so, as she only had three weeks experience as a pony.
The stallion grinned, extending his hoof to the mare. She suffered enough. “Nice.” After Peter had pulled her to her hooves, she exhaled. “Shut up.” Backing away, Peter stood on his hind legs and held his hooves out. “Come on. Let me see.” Nodding, Felicia stood up accordingly, but her hooves wobbled uncontrollably before they slipped out from under her in four different directions, causing the mare to fall stomach first into the ice. Peter snickered, helping her back to a standing position once more. Felicia groaned. “I suck.” Peter patted her shoulder playfully. “Yeah, but you’ll get used to it eventually.” Felicia glared at the stallion. She stood up, more gracefully than she had for the entire day. “I bet you thirty bits that I can skate across the entire lake without falling or stopping.” “Deal,” Peter chuckled without hesitating, retrieving a small bag from beneath the scarf around his neck. The mare turned around, skating across the ice. A trio of fillies obstructed her path, but Felicia zigzagged past each of them, managing to lift one and place her down gently in mid-spin. She increased her speed, smiling once her lap was near completion, and she jumped, performing a series of spins before skidding to a halt a mere few hooves-lengths from Peter. Nearby spectators whooped, applauding the mare for her impressive display. Felicia giggled. “Pay up.” Peter stared at her, slack-jawed. “You…! That’s hustling!” The mare furrowed her brow, snatching the bag from the stallion’s possession. “No, it’s not. I only pretended to be bad so I could make a bet and easily win.” “What do you think hustling is?!” Peter exclaimed, shaking his head. “There’s a name for it?” Felicia giggled, trotting away while counting her newly-earned bits. “Silly me.”
