Chapters [Scum Laboratories.]
[Day 1. 13:05 pm.]
Under the hot rays of the sun. Hundreds of news anchors sent reporters to the Scum Laboratories to hear about a new invention their scientists have come up with. They say it could make science fiction a reality with it. The last time they said that, monsters broke lose and nearly destroyed the world with time travel. This time however, they say its different. News anchors wait patiently outside the tinted blue windows of Scum Labs as they wait for the lead scientist to come and invite them in. Reporters were talking with their camera men, Some sat down in the shade of the building, others waited and the doors. Looking into the tinted windows. One reporter speaks up, catching the attention of the scientists. Everyone stops the chattering and straightens up to the window. A tall, bald man could be seen wearing tinted glasses approaching the doors. His lab coat swaying behind him as he took a set of keys from inside his coat. He opened the door, letting the anchors inside the front entrance. The anchors surrounded him, raising their microphones and camera to him. The crowd waited for him to speak as he adjusted his glasses. He spoke with a British accent.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, today you will see something that will astound you!" he announced.
The crowd was a mix of agreements and clapping as they traveled into the laboratories. The scientists guided then through the main way to the main laboratory, passing by a door that made a loud roar come from behind it. Some of the anchors jumped and questioned about the door. The lead scientist turned around to the group with a smirk.
"Oh don't worry about that. Some of your VIP guests are in there."
Many of the press knew what the scientist meant, others shrugged it off. They walked by the door with ease. Behind the door though, was something much bigger. Behind the door their was a series of prison cells. A long, huge, hallway went for what looked like miles from the door. Both sides containing three story prison cells. Energy barriers for each one. Inside each cell contained Scum Labs dangerous mutations that were the cause of their Scum Soda line. Thirty monsters. On the left of the hall, the first three cells contained the first three monsters. A brown haired ape with red and orange eyes. He was slouching against the wall with arms and legs crossed, humming a song. In the cell next to him was a green scaled reptile with yellow spikes on her back. She was curled up sleeping in the middle of the cell. Next to her cell was a pouting blue haired wolf. The wolf could hear his friend humming in his cell with joy, he gritted his teeth. He jumped to his full height, trying to look over to his cell. He roared at his friend. His voice was slightly deep.
"How could you be so happy George!? Don't you know where we are!?"
George stopped his humming and leaned his body over to the side, seeing his friends annoyed face. He chuckled making the wolf give a confused face. George spoke in a laid back tone with in his own deep voice.
"I'm not worrying Ralph because we will be outa here soon."
Ralph raised an eye brow and crossed his arms. George saw this and rolled his eyes. Ralph was know to be a very grumpy monster at times, even when he didn't eat for a long period of time. Ralph knew George for being a very serious monster at times and for being the most destructive of the three, but at other times he was a laid back monster.
"Look. Scum Labs is know for screwing themselves when it comes to their experiments. I figure we'll be free again here in few days."
A voice in-between the two added to their conversation.
"George is right Ralph. Just let things go on their root and everything will be fine."
Lizzie poked her head out from her curl and faced Ralph's voice. Meanwhile, Ralph couldn't stand being in a cage. It made him feel like an animal, which he was. Ralph scoffed, returning to pouting in his cell. He turned his head to see the monsters from across him. He could see three other cells. Two of them having a pool inside them. One of the cells contained one of closest friends, Marco. Marco was laying in his pool sleeping. The next cell over had a monster Ralph wasn't familiar with. It was some sort of Lion curled up and facing away from everyone else. Lastly was a monster he was all to familiar with. It was a pink and white shelled squid with huge girly eye lashes. She was swimming in her pool. Ralph signed, staring at the celling. He glanced over to the wall of his cell, marks from his claw. Ralph raised his claw, marking another slash on the wall.
"Another month down." he said to himself.
[Sweet Apple Acres.]
[15:30 pm]
Wet. That's what it felt like outside. Rain had been pouring for days on PonyVille without signs of leaving anytime soon. The trees in Sweet Apple Acres were getting well needed water, while everyone else was getting soaked. Applejack watched from her front porch and how much was coming down. She signed, standing up from the rocking chair on the porch. She turns and walks through the front door of her home to see her family watching TV. She sat down next to her little sister Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom looked up at her sister with a smile, Applejack returned the favor with ruffling her mane with her hoof. Both turned to the weather report.
"In later news, it appears the storm isn't going to go away anytime soon. Right now though, were just in the calm before the storm. Its going to get worse in the next few days."
The family moaned in annoyance. It had been raining for three straight days and it wasn't even done yet? It was annoying enough to know no work would be done in the acres because of it but the damage from the storm would be a pain.
'Ah hope things get better real soon.' she thought.
Across town, a five story crystal castle was drench from the storm. Small drips of water seeking their way into the castle. Small water buckets have been placed under the drips. A little purple dragon was staring from inside, watching the storm with a interested look. A loud crack of lighting shot him out of his daze, making him smile with enthusiasm. Spike enjoyed when rain came down, though he hated when it dripped into the house but he still enjoyed it. Spike looked higher in the sky and noticed something odd. Clouds, grey with anger, were circling around each other. Swirling around as if a tornado was forming. Curious, Spike broke his gaze and climbed his stair case to a huge double sided door with a star symbol on it. He twisted the knob and pushed the heavy door to the side. Inside was a purple alicorns, writing notes inside a small note pad.
"Twilight?"
The unicorn turns around and sees her friend. She had an interested look on her face.
"Hey Spike, are you seeing how heavy this storms getting?"
Spike rolled his eyes. What else would he be seeing?
"Yeah, I have. What I want to know is have you seen that formation inside the clouds?"
Twilight made a sound of confirmation. She wrote more down in the note bad, taking time to look from her pad to the storm. Another crack of lighting, along with a boom of thunder. It appeared the lighting was coming from the formation and was getting worse by the second. All they could do is wait, and hopefully the formation will disappear along with the storm.
[Scum Laboratories.]
[Main Lab.]
"This way ladies and gentlemen! Please don't touch anything!"
The group of reporters walked along a steel platform, watching in awe at a huge machine at the end of the room. It was a circular shaped hole with huge black and green wires plucked into it. It was sustained to the ground with heavy metal grips. It looked like something out of a mad science lab. The lead scientist stopped in front of the machine with a wide grin on his face. The reporters stopped talking leaned into the scientist.
"Project Dimension." he said.
Reporters raised their hands in question of the name. The scientists pointed to a female reporter in the front.
"Dr.Victor! What does this machine do exactly?"
Dr.Victor chuckled turning to look at his achievement.
"This machine has the ability to travel between dimensions."
A roar of reporters asking questions and flashes of cameras engulfed Dr.Victor. Raises his hand to calm the crowd. The reporters silenced their questions and paid attention to the scientist as he placed his hands behind his back.
"Are scientists have deducted a series of tests of high powers of electricity and matter placement, it took a series of tests of preparation to make this remarkable machine. Now, we do plan on using it for something extraordinary. I am informed that the entire world knows about our little mutations yes?"
All of the reporters agreed. Dr.Victor smiled and continued.
"Well, through many months of preparation and experimenting. We have discovered a dimension were these monstrosities will be happy and will never hurt another human being as long as they live!"
Some of the reporters were clapping and cheering with the plan. Others gave the doctor worried looks. One reporter raised his hand, catching the attention of the doctor.
"Aren't these monsters still humans? I mean, they were infected by your companies Scum Soda drink. How do you think they will survive?"
The doctor knew that question would come. He already had an answer for it. The doctor chuckled again, clicking his fingers together. A huge screen lowered itself down from the ceiling. A biological diagram showed one of the monsters in the labs. Reporters stared in confusion at the diagram. Dr.Victor took a metal pointer out from his coat, extending it and placing it on the graph.
"This is the biology of George the Ape. As you could see, Scum Soda has made its way into his blood. Making it to where his blood and chemistry as changed. Needleless to say, George is forever stuck the way he is. Along with all the other monsters."
The crowd silenced themselves. Finding out the mutated humans, are no longer human. Dr.Victor clicked his fingers again, the screen raised he placed his the pointer back inside his coat.
"At the request of the president. He has asked us to exterminate the monsters as soon as possible. Even though we didn't wish to kill them, we invented this machine so we wouldn't need to."
The reporters clapped in rejoice as the doctor shouted to some of the workers. Some of them scurried away from the machine. A scientist flipped a switch on the wall, the machine begun to spark. The wires connected to it begun to glow a blue color. The inner rim of the machine glowed the same color, the electricity from the machine sparked inside the circle. A white blue light started to shape inside the circle.
Twilight and Spike watched as the formation in the sky became darker and lighting was striking more around the formation. Twilight bit her hoof in worry as Spike watched in awe. The storm was getting worse and night was approaching fast. Spike goes and lights a few candles in the room while Twilight watched the formation as what looked like light coming from the circular shape in the clouds. She gives a confused and worried look. Something was wrong. Luckily nothing was below the shape in the clouds as it was high above a mountain.
The doctor watched as the portal hummed with purr. It was working, nothing was going wrong, no monsters were getting loose, not even a malfunction of the machine.
'Nothing could go wrong at this point!' he thought.
A huge explosion came from behind the machine, the portal distorted and the color of it became purple. The reporters screamed and ran towards the metal door at the end of the lab. Dr.Victor watched in horror as the machine sparked out of control. Another explosion destroyed a control panel next to the machine. Dr.Victor could feel his blood run cold, knowing what the control panel went to. He turned to the reporters and his scientists and told them to get out of the building as soon as possible. People ran for their lives, trying to get out of the building before another containment breach. A huge metal wall was burst open. a huge blue hairy wolf looked at the crowd and smiled with a sinister grin. The crowd screamed and ran from Ralph as he scooped up some of the people, throwing them inside his mouth. Crunching their bones and sucking on their flesh as he chewed on them. He swallowed, a loud obnoxious burp came form him as he moaned in relief. Its been a while since he ate someone. A tap at his shoulder caught Ralphs attention, he turned around to see George. Both nod as they start to tear apart the facility, along with all the thirty monsters that were imprisoned. Roars and grunts were all that was heard as monsters tore the building apart from the inside. Deeper into the facility, two monsters, a bull monster with gold plates at the end of his horns and a ram monster were ruff housing. Bashing into each other and cracking their horns against one another. They locked their hands to one another, pushing against each other to see who would be stronger against the other. The ram chuckled with a sheepish voice to the bull.
"Come ooooon Rojo! Give me-e-e-e all you got!"
Rojo gritted his teeth, pushing the ram until they burst through a huge metal door. The malfunctioning machine catching the attention of all the monsters. They quickly made their way to the machine, most thought it was another way to travel through time and destroy the world again. Pushing to the front, George, Lizzie, and Ralph made their way to the front. They looked at the machine with sinister looks. This would be fun. George placed one foot to the machine, apparently setting it off. A multi colored explosion engulfed the facility. A huge worm hole tearing the place apart.
The wind was getting worse. Lighting was striking everywhere. The formation in the clouds begun to spark with an odd color that Twilight didn't recognize. A huge lighting bolt struck behind the mountain, coming from the moving formation in the clouds. This lighting bolt kept up for minutes before it suddenly was cut off. The rest of the storm suddenly stopped. The clouds started to separate. The rain stopped. The wind was silenced. Spike and Twilight watched in curiosity as the night sky showed itself behind the disappearing clouds.
"Well. That was odd."
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 2. 7:00 am.]
In the endless green that covered the landscape. It was something to truly behold. After last nights storm, animals made their way out of their shelters. Searching for food that wasn't washed away. Animals were at a small river next to a mountain. Drinking from its rich clear water. Rabbits, birds, even a couple bears were drinking and eating berries they found. Not all animals are looking for berries though, a Timber wolf saw this as a time to get some food as well for its pack. It made its way to the river, stalking its pray from the bushes . It walked aimlessly in the forest, shaded by the tree trucks over its head. It heard something, a squeak. The wood wolf looked over and saw a few rabbits to hunt. It gave a sinister grin and started to follow the rabbits. It made sure to stick to the shadows, to not let the white rabbits see or hear it. They stopped in an opening in the forest. All looking around, trying to figure out where to go next. The Timber wolf took this time to get ready to pounce on the rabbits. Hoping to kill a few and return to its pack. It crouched in the brush, preparing to strike with a massive leap. It wiggled its hips, wait for it. One of the rabbits looked back, his eyes went wide and a look of fear came over it. Now or never, the Timber wolf pounced. However, once it jumped, it couldn't move. A sharp, agonizing pain shot through its body. It felt as though it was in the jaws of a mightier beast! The wolf was then raised high in the air, pieces of its body falling to the ground. It struggle to get out but found it useless. The pain became worse as it felt as though its body was torn apart. The wolf looked as its lower torso fell to the ground. It let out a moan as it loosed feeling in its body. It was dead.
"Ralph? What are you doing?"
Ralph turned to Lizzie as he pointed to the dead Timber wolf in his mouth. He was like dear in head lights when she caught him. Lizzie was giving him a confused look. He spat out the wooden wolf and gave a ugly smile to her. She rolled her eyes and motioned him to follow. Ralph checked his mouth for splinters, he felt a few on his tongue. He cursed to himself as he started plucking them out. Small yelps coming from him. The two soon discovered George, collecting corpses of dead animals for his friends. Lizzie gave a impressed look. George looked up, stuffing a brown bear into his mouth. He chewed and swallowed. Burping with a loud rumble.
"What are you guys waiting for? Dig in!"
Lizzie grabbed a deer from the pile and bit half of it off. Swallowing the bottom.
"Sorry, I had to stop food addiction over here from eating a tree." she said pointing to Ralph.
Ralph growled at Lizzie as he held a crocodile with both his claws. He bit into the stomach of the croc, chewing on the organs and bone inside with a satisfied smile. He opened one of his eyes and saw Lizzie and George staring at him.
"What?" he asks.
"You know we have a friend that's a crocodile right?" she said pointing to the carcass.
Ralph looked between the two, giving off an embarrassed look before stuffing the rest of the reptile in his mouth. Lizzie and George rolled their eyes and brought their attention back to their food. A sudden realization comes over George as he was about to eat the rest of a bird.
"Wait...where is everyone?" he said wide eyed.
Lizzie and Ralph looked at each, glancing back at George with saddened looks. They were the only ones that made it out? George slumped, rubbing the back of his head. Lizzie placed her hands on each side of her head and gave a sad look. Ralph slouched his ears and begun whimpering.
"I guess...we were the only ones that survived." Lizzie said.
The others agreed. Ralph suddenly remembers something. Catching the attention of his friends.
"Hold on a minute! Remember, the explosion took apart the ENTIRE base. That means they are probably hear somewhere!" he said cheerfully.
Lizzie and George exchanged looks in happiness. Ralph is right, maybe their friends did survive the accident. Maybe they were still alive. The three brought their heads back, swinging them forward and clashing each other in the head. The let out a laugh and looked around.
"Okay...what now?"
George placed his hand to his chin and thought about it. He looks up and sees the mountain. A genius idea comes to the apes mind he looks at his friends and runs toward the mountain. He grips the mountain and begins to climb. Ralph and Lizzie watched in confusion as George climbs the mountain, bits and pieces of rock come falling to the ground.
'Where have I seen this before?' Ralph thought.
George raised his hand to the top of the mountain with a grunt. Lifting himself to the top, he felt his jaw drop as he gazed apon the beautiful landscape of the new land they were in. He heard Lizzie call from the bottom of the mountain, turning his gaze from the land to his friends.
"What was that?" George called.
"What do you see?" she calls.
"Our new playground."
[Sweet Apple Acres.]
[7:30 am.]
Applejack wasn't to keen on fixing the damages from the storm last night. Some trees were knocked down, apples had fallen off the trees and scattered everywhere, and even pieces of the barn were missing. None the less, she hauled a cart full of spare parts for the barn over to her brother Big Mac. Mac grabbed a few boards under his arm and climbed to the top of the barn. Applejack watched as her brother hammered away at the roof. Apple Bloom walks next to her while sipping on a juice box. Applejack turns and looks to see still a few trees knocked over and plenty of apples on the ground. She moans in discomfort.
"I like storms in all, but this one made livin a whole lot more work for us."
Apple Bloom nods and Big Mac agrees from the roof. Something then pops into Apple Blooms mind, something she saw when everypony else was focused on the weather report.
"What do ya'll think about that lightin bolt that hit behind that mountain?"
Applejack gives her a confused look.
"What lightin bolt?"
Apple Bloom guides her sister and points to the mountain that the lighting bolt struck behind. She starts to explain how long it lasted and how huge of a bolt it was. It was oddly colored as well, multicolored. Applejack gives a puzzled look at the thought of a lighting bolt of that size and color. It was usual to say the least. However, if a lighting bolt like that struck that close she figured to see of anything was alright. Applejack ran inside the house, grabbing a saddlebag from the kitchen counter and throwing it on her back. She runs out of the house, sprinting towards on a dirt path in the trees. Sweat dripping down her cheek as she could see animals sprinting from the woods. Applejack gives a confused look as she runs further into forest. Applejack turned in a fork in the road, she felt a hoof grab her from her muzzle and pull her into the bushes. She struggled to get free, turning to see who grabbed her. She gave a shocked look to see her pink mane friend Fluttershy with a worried look in her eyes. She motions Applejack to keep it down, releasing her muzzle from her grip. Fluttershy points hoof to a clearing in the trees. Applejack looks in shock at the rotting pile of dead animals next to it, huge footprints.
"What did this?" AJ whispers.
"I...don't...know." Fluttershy comments.
The two watch in shock as more animals run out of the forest clearing. The looks of fear on their faces told Fluttershy and AJ something was wrong. A loud, howl rang through the forest. Birds took of from their trees and flew high in the sky. The girls were silent as the ground begun to shake. The could hear trees being knocked down and the rumbling accompanied with it. What they didn't expect to hear though was a deep sound of laughter coming closer. AJ and Fluttershy flinched from a massive cracking sound ringing their ears. A tree comes flying over the clearing of the trees and lands hard on the ground in front of them. They hear a voice echo through the forest. Not knowing where or who is making it.
"Hey no far! You knocked the bat outa my hand!"
Another voice. This time sounding a bit high pitch, female.
"Sorry, I guess I got a strong arm."
"We know, Crock told us about it." Another voice, this one deeper then the other two.
The female gave a annoyed grunt. A sound of a heavy punch made AJ and Fluttershy cover their ears from the sound. One of them as moaning and laughing in pain as the female growled. One of the was laughing like a hyena. AJ decided to peek out and see who was killing the animals around here and see what they are. Fluttershy followed close behind as they slowly followed the laughing until a clearing in the trees reveled the perpetrators. AJ and Fluttershy's eyes went wide as they gazed apon three story giants. One a lizard, one was a blue wolf, and the other was a ape. The wolf was on the ground rocking with laughter while the Lizard had a annoyed look on its face. The ape was on the ground in a scorpion position in a huge bump on its head. The ponies watched under the cover of the tree shade in amazement and shock at the same time. They must the ones responsible for the huge corpse pile. Applejack wanted to confront the creatures but she knew that would be suicide because of their large size. Fluttershy felt a weird sensation on her nose, she gazed down to see a small spider on her nose. Her nose started to tickle, she raised her head to sneeze. AJ caught her on her last second, wiping a sweat drop from forehead. Fluttershy nods at her friends save. AJ then sneezes, both ponies freezing. The three monster stopped their antics and looked over to the sounds origin. AJ grabs her friend by the wrist and quickly starts to run. Fluttershy starts to flap her wings and AJ lets go of her hoof. Both soon are speeding down the dirt road where AJ came from, not looking back. The sound of trees crumbling behind them and the heavy footsteps following.
George, Lizzie, and Ralph searched for where the sneeze came from. Maybe it was more food they thought. Maybe this land had humans on it? If it did have people on it, then tearing apart this world would be a lot more fun for the three mutants. Ralph sniffed the air, hoping to track the sound makers. He smelled something, odd. Something like apples. He smiled as he spotted what looked like a red building in the distance.
"Guys wait!" he called.
Lizzie and George stopped and stared at the their blue haired friend. He motions them to come closer. George and Lizzie leaned in. Ralph points to the red building in the distance, they smile and try to run to it. Ralph grabs them and pulls them to both his sides.
"What gives!?" Lizzie says with annoyed look.
"Look. I might not be the sharpest tool in the labs, but I'm not stupid. We cant just go and attack a settlement! We don't know what other creatures are here!"
Lizzie and George exchanged glances. Ralph was right. They didn't know what others lived here besides animals. George placed a hand under his chin and thought for a second.
"I guess we'll have to wait for them to come to us."
AJ and Fluttershy kept running, even though the sound of the trees and the footsteps stopped. When they reached Sweet Apple Acres, the girls sprinted toward the house. Bursting through the front door in a panic. Big Mac gave the two a confused look, trying to figure out their nonsensical talking. He managed to calm the two, getting them to drink a glass of water. Both looked as though they saw something dangerous. AJ, after calming her nerves, she stared at the ground, gripping her glass in a death and with a serious look.
"We need to tell the others about this."
[Sweet Apple Acres.]
[Day 4. 12:05 pm.]
All the other elements of harmony rushed back to PonyVille from Canterlot because of the urgent message sent by Applejack. All quickly headed toward Sweet Apple Acres in a rush. Rainbow Dash flying as fast as she could over. Soon the four ponies, including Spike were at the acres. Twilight quickly knocks on the front door, AJ answering the door almost on cue. She had a look of utter exhaustion on her face. Her friends give her worried looks, moments of silence pass without a word. AJ stares out the window, toward the mountain she and Fluttershy encountered the monsters. Nearly escaping from a few days ago. AJ turned around, her friends with interested looks. Fluttershy was being comforted by Rainbow Dash, wrapping each other in a hug.
"What did you guys see out there?" Twilight asks,
AJ looked at the ground with an expressionless look. All her friends leaning in.
"After the storm a couple days ago. I went to check wh're a huge lighitn bolt hit behin the mountain. When I went in the forest, I ran into Shy. Both her and I saw these, huge, monsters. They, killed I don't know how many animals and stuck them in a pile."
All of them gasped in shock from the horrific tale. Applejack continued, staring at her friends with a serious look.
"Those...thangs! Are dangerous, we need to stop them"
Un pronounced to the group. Spike had trailed off to explore the outside. He walked until he came under an apple tree. He looks up seeing ripe red apples hanging high in the tree. He smirks and thinks to himself.
'Well...if Applejack could do it. So can I!'
With a swift kick, Spike hits the tree with his shin. Nothing happens for a few seconds before a very painful shockwave goes through his shin. Spike grabs his knee and begins to hop around rubbing it. He sits under the tree letting out a defeated moan.
"Well that was smart Spike. Gee, I wonder if-OOF!"
Spike feels an apple hit and roll down his head. It lands in-between his legs, causing him to give a curious look. Did he do that? Spike picked up the apple, shrugging, taking a bite out of the side. He chews on it with a wide smile on his face. He takes a few more bites out of the apple before tossing the core to the side. He places his claws on his belly and starts to take a nap. His soft snores the only thing you could hear. Unknown to Spike, a pair of golden eyes were staring at him through the trees. A large, scaly hand comes from the trees, scooping him in us palm before holding him in its chest. Running off with massive foot steps.
Applejack finished her story at the discomfort of her friends. The story was hard to believe for the most part but far weirder things have happened in their lives. Twilight rubs her chin in understanding of the story. She glances down to her side to see a certain dragon missing from her side. She scrambles, looking all around her.
"Have you girls seen Spike?"
Large, scaly feet casually walked through the Everfree Forest. Pushing down trees with every step. Lizzie held a small scaly, small creature in her hand. When she saw it, Lizzie thought it looked like her. Or a smaller version of her. Once the little creature fell asleep an idea came over her. Lizzie wanted to show the creature to her friends, hoping they wouldn't eat it. Knowing Ralph though, he would want to eat it. George on the other hand would probably go mental on her for kid napping a small creature like this. Stopping her walk, Lizzie looked down at the cute, curled up lizard in her hand. She gave a soft look as she heard the sores from it. Now that she gets a good look at it, it doesn't look like her. However, she felt something strange when looking down at it. Lizzie forgot how long she has been walking, she looks up to see the bright moon accompanied by dozens of stars around it. Night. Perfect. The guys are probably wondering where she was. She wanted to make her way back to them in time, however it seems the time has past. She figured she'll continue her walk later on in the morning.
A menacing roar, echoing through the mountains. Caught Lizzies attention as she curled up in a sleeping position. She cautiously looks around. Giving a warning growl. The roar becomes louder. Lizzie braced herself as she heard the rumble of heavy footsteps coming toward her. She gave a wide eyed look, seeing a huge bear like monster that appeared to be translucent. Lizzie quickly stood up, showing all her height to the beast. She gave a evil smile as she puffed her chest out, trying to intimidate the bear. It raised an eye brow to the tower lizard over it. The Ursa Major stood on its hinge legs, towering over the lizard monster before it. Lizzie chuckled nervously.
"Nice...bear."
The Ursa Major brought his claw back and swatted Lizzie to the side. She landed on her back, sliding across the ground. Lizzie felt where the claw hit her, blood flowing down her cheek. She felt an anger boiling inside her as she looked back to the bear in front of her. Her boiling point exploded as she saw the Ursa hanging the little lizard she had over its mouth. Lizzie let a earth rumbling roar at the bear. He stopped dangling Spike in his claw and roared back at her. Spike snapped out of his sleep, seeing where he was. He begun to scream in fear as the Ursa threw him at Lizzie. She caught him and held him tight in her grip. Spike looked up at the huge lizard and gave a surprised look. Lizzie lowered Spike to the ground, pointing to him and the ground. Spike nodded, knowing what it wanted of him. Spike watched as the tow monsters were staring each other down. The tension building between the two as they growled, and snarled at each other. Lizzie leaped for the creature, running with her full speed toward the beast. The Ursa copied the move, running on its all fours ready to knock down the lizard. Both monsters collided, pushing against each other to overpower the other. The Ursa's head was inside Lizzies chest while Lizzie had a grip on the beasts shoulders. The Ursa growled, getting an idea. The Ursa opened its jaws, showing rows of sharp and lethal teeth. It bit down on Lizzies torso, blood leaking from the impact. Lizzie roared in pain from the bite, swinging her fist down in the Ursa's head. Lizzie brought her fist back, swinging it and hitting the bears eye. It roared and broke the bite. He raised its head in the air, ribbing its eye. Lizzie took this time to tackle the bear to the ground. The ground shook under the impact. Lizzie starts to punch the bear in anyway she could. Getting a few hits in his face. The Ursa growled, clearly growing more annoyed of this small creature actually beating it!
The Ursa snarled as it swung its arm at Lizzies shoulder. Impaling Lizzies shoulder. She shrieked in pain from the dagger like claws in her shoulder. Blood spurting from the wound. Lizzie gripped the Ursas arm, trying to pull it out. She saw his attempt to impale his other claw in her. She grabbed the claw and putting her full strength into it. The two were at a stand still, going against each others strength. Lizzie could feel her wounds start to take over her as she could feel her strength start to fade and she became weak. Lizzie could feel her eye lids becoming heavy as the Ursa Majors claw was getting closer to her throat. The Ursa smiled as its claw was getting closer. Spike watched in horror as the lizard was losing the fight and was about to die. Tears beginning to form in his eyes as the claws of the Ursa was right at the throat of the lizard. Spike could feel the ground shake, more footsteps? He looked toward where the footsteps were coming from to see tow strange creatures running toward the fight. One was holding a huge boulder. One of them grabbed the lizard under its arms, pulling it away from the Ursa. The other one swung the boulder down in top of the bears head, smashing it into bits. From where Spike was, he couldn't see the Ursa's head. Only the boulder on top of it and a now dead Ursa Major. He then felt the wind token out of him as he was now in another hand. He looked to see a huge muscular brown creature, giving him a curious look. It looked away from him and stared at the Lizard.
"So Lizzie. Wanna explain this?"
Spike could feel himself raise an eyebrow hearing the monster speak. He spoke up, catching the attention of the brown creature.
"Hey! You can talk!"
George gave him a surprised look.
"You...can understand me?"
Spike nodded furiously. Trying not to make the creature angry. George rubbed his chin in understanding. This would help in the future. George heard coughing behind him, he turned to see Lizzie being held up by Ralph. Her body was bloody from the slash and impale marks. Her eye lids almost covering her eyes. She was breathing through her mouth. Spike felt bad for his, sort of friend. True, she dragon nabbed him from his friends. However, it did save him from the Ursa Major. He could hear the brown creature let out a sign.
"Is it gonna be alright?" he asks.
George turns back to the lizard in his hands, giving him a narrow eyed expression. Spike gulped.
"SHE is going to be fine."
Spike's ears lowered in embarrassment. George was already angry from knowing Lizzie stole one of the locals. What made him even more angry is they will come looking for it. Rubbing his temple in annoyance, he gave Spike to Lizzie. Truth be told, George wanted to start chewing out Lizzie for doing this. He wanted to yell for hours. However, given the circumstance of her condition. She has been through enough. Ralph stared down at the tiny lizard in Lizzies hand with a confused expression.
"What's his name Liz?" Ralph asks.
Lizzie looks down at Spike with a interesting look. Spike speaks up with pride to the two.
"My names Spike. Friend to Princess Twilight Sparkle!"
George felt himself mentally kicking and cursing himself out. Lizzie was now regretting everything. Ralph thought it was cool.
[Canterlot.]
[Day 5. 10:45 am.]
Inside the Canterlot's thrown room. The mane six were frantically telling Princess Celestia about the monsters and Spikes disappearance. Celestia had a look of anger on her face. These monsters had a lot of nerve kid napping her students friend. She was hoping he wasn't dead, if he was however. They would pay with their lives.
"What do we do?" Twilight asks.
Celestia let out a breathe through her nose.
"Captain!" she called.
A broad grey unicorn comes running into the thrown room. Saluting the princess.
"Assemble a few squads of soldiers. Bring capture nets if possible."
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 6. 13:15 pm.]
"Are...you...insane!?"
The next morning was nothing but debating. Ralph went off to find more food after the animal pile was utterly gorged by the three monsters. Spike only ate some other fruit found around the area. During breakfast, Lizzie brought up the subject going to Spikes town and returning him. In public. George made it clear on the first day they were here, to not engage towns unless they know what kind of creatures are here. If Spike was just a child, George didn't want imagine the adults. Lizzie had Spike on top of her head, both looking at George.
"I don't see what the problem is." Lizzie commented.
George growled in his throat and begun rubbing his temple. If he didn't know it, he was having a migraine right now. Can monsters even get migraines? He didn't know. George knew the creatures were probably looking for their child and were angry that he was missing. If worse comes to worse, they'll fight. The monsters will fight and will not go down without a fight. With that in mind, George looked to the gap between the mountains they came from the night before. He signed again.
"Okay. Here's the plan. You, and me. Are going to take this little guy back before those guys form an entire army against us."
Spike rubbed his chin. The plan was simple, however George was right. His friends were probably worried about him and getting the help of Princess Celestia to get him back. The thought about it made his scales crawl. He chuckled to himself, catching the attention of Lizzie. She perks her head up, almost making Spike fall of her head.
"What's so funny?" she asks.
"I was just thinking. George is right, my friends probably got the princesses help. If that's the case, you guys wont have a good rep with them. I suggest you guys be careful."
George nodded and narrowed his eyes to the mountain gap. From what he saw over the mountain, a small village at the end of the mountain and a castle on the opposite one. George was hoping to avoid destroying anything when they knew the locals. From what Spike has told them, this world was full of different creatures. Most of them ponies. Going about it in his head, George knew the magic users, or whatever they were called, would be a problem. Flyers and ground ponies were no big deal. However-
"Dammit I wish more of us were here!'
The thought of being the only three in this land was driving him insane. All their friends, missing, in another dimension, or even dead. Was something he didn't want to think about. All he could hope for was they were alive, and somewhere peaceful. Some monsters though, George is happy they weren't around. The terrible duo he liked to call them. George was caught off guard by Lizzie poking his arm. George snapped out of his train of thought and gave Lizzie a wide eyed look. She had a cautious look on her face.
"What's wr-"
Lizzie cupped Georges mouth. Motioning with her finger to be quiet. George narrowed his eyes. The two stood quiet. Waiting for something to happen. Spike glanced back and forth to the two, waiting for something to happen.
"Um...guys? Are you-"
A spear like magic blast came through the forest brush with incredible speed. Hitting both monsters in their chests, knocking them on their rears. Spike flew off Lizzies head, almost hitting the ground. A blue blur grabs Spike in mid air, landing the ground. Spike uncovers his eyes to see a familiar sight to him. Rainbow Dash looking at him with a smile.
"Yeah know. Next time don't let monsters dragon nab you will ya?"
Spike and RD laugh. A mix of bushes rustling behind them, turning their heads to see the rest of the mane six. Spike jumps out of Rainbow Dash arms nearly tackling Twilight as he raps his arms around her neck. Twilight does the same, the rest of the six rapping the dragon in a hug. Spike broke off from the group, all giving happy looks to him.
"Are you alright darling!?" Rarity asks.
"Did they hurt ya!?" AJ adds.
Spike felt his face flush from the attention. He assured his friends he was alright. A ground shattering roar was heard behind Spike, a chill running down his and his friends spine. All looked to see the giant brown haired creature and the green scaly creature looking down at them with red glowing eyes. The mane six and Spike felt the ground rumble, turning to see dozens of armored ponies with golden armor. All of them surrounding the monsters that were nearly five times their size. George and Lizzie snarled and growled at the guards as they were surrounded.
"Now then beasts."
A voice came from the forest, Spike and his friends looking to see a very angry Princess Celestia. If the princess had that look in her eye, it meant someone was going to have a bad day. The princess made her way to the front of the six ponies, glaring at the monsters. Celestia raised her hoof at the monsters, more spears of magic hitting the monsters. Both blocking the magic blasts and growling in pain. George brought his arm back from the block. George swung his arm, swatting ponies away. Sending some flying in the air. Lizzie used her tail, swinging it with force. Once the magic blasts stopped, both monsters were more angry then they were before. Seeing the guards, both monsters roared to into the crowd. The guards were soon over powered as the two monsters swatting and kicking them around. Some stabbing and impaling their legs with spears. Others blasting them with magic, leaving burnt marks. George grabbed a guard in his hand throwing it into his mouth and chewing on the pony. He could hear the bloody screams from inside and crunch of his armor. He swallowed, flowed by a loud burp. Some of the guards covered their noses in disgust from the bad breathe. Lizzie was attempting to stomp on the ponies but she would just miss them. Celestia thought she had watched enough. She flapped her wings, flying into the sky. Her eyes started to glow bright, her horn glowed with a powerful light. She lifted her head back and sent a massive blast at George, sending him flying far until his collided with a mountain. Lizzie looked back from the fight to see George out cold against the mountain. She turned with fury in her eyes, she was blasted also by Celestia. Lizzie held her ground, raising her arms and blocking the stream as best she could. Celestia watched in shock as the monster with held her attack. She stopped her stream of magic, Lizzie smoking from her arms. He lowered them and gave Celestia an angry look. She begun walking toward the princess. Showing exhaustion.
Spike watched as Lizzie took another step, nearly a few feet of the princess. Both stared each other down. All the guards stopped their attacks on the monsters. Looking at the scene before them. Without words, Celestia was impressed. She spoke to the monster as kindly as she could.
"Do you give up beast?"
Lizzie looked at her for a few seconds before swiftly bringing her fist back and punching the princess out of the air. She landed hard the ground, knocked out from the powerful attack. Everyone watched in horror. Lizzie chuckled while swaying back and forth. That was her last attack before her body gave out. She used it wisely.
"Nope."
Lizzie collapsed to the ground. Guards swarmed the two monsters, covering them in magically sealed nets. Under the combined strength of them, with the guards that weren't too wounded, started to haul the monsters off toward the castle. The princess being carried by the mane six.
[19:00 pm]
Under the cover of the night, a blue haired wolf walked along the trees with a happy expression on his face. Ralph had spent the entire day gathering more food for his friends. True it did take him forever, but it was worth it. Ralph had in his arms dozens of dead animals from the lake and the forest. All freshly killed. Ralph turned the mountain where his friends were camping at, however they weren't there. He looked around confused wondering if they wondered off with out him. He dropped the animal pile below him and begun looking around. He noticed the site of what looked like a struggle and the indent on one of the mountains. Something happened while he was away. More worried then confused Ralph found himself tearing trees out of the ground, trying to find his friends or evidence to where they went. He then saw what looked like drag marks in the ground. Leaning over the marks, Ralph sniffed the ground. He smelled Lizzie and George, and a forum smell. He liked the smell of it. It smelled tasty. Getting back on track, Ralph looked to where the drag marks where leading. He ran with the marks until he saw a bright castle on top of a mountain in the distant. He growled in his throat. He knew who took his friends, and the ones who took them, are now his lunch.
Ralph was about to leap and ran towards the castle before a large hand caught him and shoved him back. He looked to see his offender but his eyes went wide when he saw who it was. It had a large fingered hands, with long legs. He had a broad torso but had a small mouth. His fur was pitch white and blue skin showed that didn't have fur. Ralph felt his jaw drop as he gazed apon the monster he knew. Georges rival, and brother.
"Harry?"

[22:05 pm]
Cold. Lizzie hasn't felt this cold in forever. She groaned as she rubbed her head. She remembered what had happened to her and George. She looked up to see George crossed armed and a annoyed look on his face. Lizzie lifted her head but hit it on something. She looked up to see a cement ceiling above her. Giving a surprised look, Lizzie begun to scramble around in her cell. She didn't like small spaces, it terrified her to no end. Lizzie grabbed the huge metal bars to her cell but felt a shockwave go through her body. She roared in pain, releasing the bars.
"Liz, its useless. Trust me I've tried."
Lizzie looked up to see the cracks in Georges cell and some of his fur burnt off. He clearly had been doing it for awhile. The sound of a huge metal door rung from a stone stair case. Both monsters watched a orange flying pony come walking down the stone stair case. A narrowed eyed look on her face. She stopped in the middle of the two monsters, both giving confused looks. The flyer took a clipboard and pencil from under her wing and sat in front of Lizzie. She gave the pony a confused look.
"I'm going to ask three questions. I want you to respond honestly to each one. Can you do that?"
This pony didn't know they were intelligent. Lizzie chuckled, catching the ponies attention. Lizzie raises her hand up, sticking her middle finger to the pony. She raised an eye brow.
"Your intelligent. Good to know."
The pony grips the pencil in her mouth. Lizzie giving a bored look.
"First. Have you been arrested before?"
Lizzie thought back for a second. She remembered the countless time Scum Labs has recaptured her and her friends.
"Yes." she answered.
The pony scribbled down in the clipboard.
"Next. Name?"
"Lizzie."
The pony scribbled more down in the clipboard.
"Finally. Any family?" she asked but with a bit more aggression.
Lizzie was prepared for that question. She didn't want to talk about that either. In truth, Lizzie did have some one who treated her like family. A monster she met earlier on when she first mutated. George over heard the question and looked over to see a nearly teary eyed friend of his. He roared up.
"She doesn't need to answer that!"
The pony turned to George with an angry look on her face. George growled at the pony.
"Oh yes she does. After all, I would love to hear if she has any because you assholes are the reason I lost my brother!" she yelled at him.
George knew this pony was hitting home to get back at them. So he decided to hit harder. George smiled at the pony, making her give a confused look. She flinched seeing the evil stare the giant ape was giving her.
"You think I care about that? You ponies are completely fucking stupid. Trying to make monsters like us feel sorry about your dead. Well guess what...I don't regret a thing, matter of fact, I'm glad one more of you ponies are dead."
The mare gave George a wide eyed look and gritted her teeth. George simply smiled in his cell, revenge was a bitch. The mare swallowed away anger as she made her way to the stone stair case. The heavy metal door swinging open and shutting hard this time. Lizzie looked at George with a shocked expression. When George was angry, he knew how to end a conversation. Lizzie wiped tears from her eyes. George glancing over to her with sad expression of his own.
"Thanks." she said.
"Trust me. That bitch deserved to get hit for what she said to you."
Lizzie nodded as George closed his eyes. Both monsters were tired from today and needed to rest. A thought came over Georges mind as he drifted to sleep.
'I hope you have a plan to help us Ralph.'
[Unknown Location.]
[Day 7. 12:05 pm]
Despite sleeping in a space that was meant for ponies that were only the size of your finger. Lizzie slept quite well inside the cell. It made her feel like an actual lizard sleeping inside its burrow. None the less, Lizzie attempted to stretch inside the cell. To no affect, she could barely move inside the cramp space. She groaned in annoyance. Lizzie looked across the hallway to see George still sleeping. She knew he was still sleeping because his snoring was known through out Scum Labs. Not a day could go by without one of the monsters not getting a night of sleep from Georges snoring. Lizzie was used to it because she and Ralph have know the ape for years while everyone else has known him for only a year. Now awake, Lizzie could get a good look at where they were. The whole place was made of stone, grey, colorless stone at felt cold when you touched it. The iron bars at the front of the cell were old, but sturdy. Lizzie tried to look outside her cell to see where they were, however, her large head kept her from looking out. From the looks of this place, it was ancient. Feeling the wall, Lizzie felt a chill go up her spine. They were deep underground she figured. The stains on the walls of the cell were confusing her to a degree.
'What the hell did they DO down here!?' she thought feeling the stained wall.
A snort caught her attention. Turning her head to see George trying to stretch inside his cell. To no avail. George crossed his arms, giving a pouting expression.
"I HATE being in a cage." he said.
Lizzie nodded in agreement. George didn't mind the cells over at Scum Labs, at least they were open and had plenty of space for three story monsters. George also had things to do inside his cell, every monster did. He had a monster truck tire tied to a huge piece of rope in the middle of his lab cell. Lizzie had a built in tree to hers she could climb on. Ralph had a huge shard like rock in the back of his room. Now that Lizzie thinks about it, she felt like a zoo animal more then anything with those decorations. Now she understood why Scum Labs had tours go through the monster cells! Truth be told, she preferred being a zoo animal then being held deep underground. Lizzie lifted her hand, poking the steel bars at the front. The metal clank echoed through the room. George glanced to Lizzie giving a unimpressed look. Lizzie saw George and gave a embarrassed smile.
The metal door from before made a sound of it opening, both monsters glanced toward the stone stairs at the end of the room to see who would come down this time. The door shut, echoing from up the stairs. Waiting, the monsters heard the familiar sound of hooves walking down the stone steps. What they didn't expect to see, was a shining, starry mane of a purple pony with midnight colored eyes. She had a necklace with a crescent moon on her chest. Gallicizing, sparkling shoes and tiara on her head and hooves. From the looks of it, she wasn't happy. Not. One. Bit. She stopped at the end of the stair case, glancing at each of the monsters with a narrow eyed expression. Lizzie prepared herself, knowing this pony was here to do the same thing the other one did. Hopefully without going to far this time. The mare walked until she was in near Georges cell, he scoffed and turned to his side. She raised an eye brow and went over to Lizzies cell. She gave a blank expression, trying not to show anything. Even though she was a little nervous. The mare signed, she knew who they were, she must have. George spoke up from his cell, sounding annoyed.
"If your here to interrogate us, get it over with and leave."
The mare glint at George. He was obviously angry at something, or someone and was growing tired of where he was. Thinking she'll start somewhere, the mare walked over to the apes caged and tapped on the steel bars. George turned over his shoulder and looked at the mare.
"I am not here to do that." she said with kindly.
The mare placed her hoof to her chest, symbolizing introducing herself to the ape.
"I am Princess Luna. Sister to Princess Celestia and co-ruler of Equestria."
George raised an eye brow. He signed, turning his body to face the mare. Laying on his side, holding his head up with his arm.
"Names George."
Luna at the introduction and glanced over to the other monster. Lizzie lifted her head and gave a slight smile.
"My names Lizzie."
Luna nodded. A weird feeling came over Lizzie when she looked at her.
"I know who you are. You are the one who knocked by sister out cold."
George pinched his temple. Lizzie rubbed her neck. She figured she had to apologize to someone.
"Listen. I'm sorry about that. I was just defending myself and my friends."
Luna raised her hoof at Lizzie with a calm expression. If she was bugged about her sister, she wasn't showing it. In fact, Lizzie became a little more nervous by the calm nature of the pony. She smiled and walked over to Lizzie cell. She prepared for what the mare would say to her as she looked her over.
"I admit. When I first heard a monster had brought down my sister, I was angry. I wanted to give the order to kill you because of the event, both her and I! However, a little dragon friend of mine told us other wise."
Lizzie gave Luna a shocked expression, while in her head she was going insane. She would have to thank Spike later on.
"So. What me and my sister have decided to do, was to set both of you free and to give a proper introduction."
George gave a slight smile. Lizzie gave a grin that showed countless numbers of razor sharp teeth. Luna made a note to not be at the other end of those teeth. A sudden thought came over Georges mind.
'I think Ralph will be ha-OH SHIT!'
Georges eyes went wide as dinner plates. He turned frantically to Luna, catching both her and Lizzies attention. A rumble of the earth caught the threes attention as Luna tried to keep still. The metal door at the top of the stairs opened, sounds of screaming traveling through the passage way. A guard pony, missing his helmet, had a look of alertness on him. He sounded as though he ran for miles.
"Your majesty! Two...'pant'...monsters. Attacking!"
Luna's eyes went wide. George and Lizzie glancing at one another. Yep. Ralph wasn't the sharpest tool in the labs. How did he get up the courage to attack this place himself? All the monsters knew Ralph for being a follower, not a leader. He was a good fighter though. Luna took the time to think for a second before narrowing her eyes and running toward the stairs. She stopped, looking back at the monsters in the cage. The guard called from the top of the stairs, Luna grinded her teeth, taking off up the stairs. George let out a breathe through his nose and turned to his side in the cage. Lizzie signed and lowered her head in her arms.
"No don't worry about us! We'll just sit here while you fight our friend!" George roared.
George gripped the steel bars with rage in his eyes. He wasn't going to sit here and wait for his friend to be captured or killed. George begun putting all his strength into the bars, trying to break them open to free him and Lizzie. He felt the bars starting to bend, he smiled as he put more of his power into the bars. Bending further from each other. Lizzie watched as George broke the bars apart and wiggled out of his cell. He gripped her bars and begun pulling, they bended with ease. The space became more cramp for the two since they were out. George started to crawl toward the stairs. They were to small for him, he could fix that. George swung with the space he had to break the stone walls surrounding the stairs. With experience in smashing buildings, this was no different. He swung with both his arms, both his fists hitting and breaking the stone. Both monsters crawled up the stair case, slowly but steady. George soon reached the metal door, smiling he brought his arm back and smashed the door off its hinges. Daylight shining in his and Lizzie face as they crawled out of the stair case. George straightened his back while Lizzie stretched like a dog. Both monsters stopped when they saw ponies scrambling around the castle, the place looked at though a tornado hit it. Ruble was everywhere, the windows were smashed, injured ponies were scattered around.
George looked to the hallway to the right of him. Seeing guard ponies running down it. He took a step, ready to run and see what Ralph had done. He was topped however, by a sharp pain hitting his forehead. Stumbling back, George saw he hit the ceiling. Lizzie cupped her mouth to stop from laughing. George growled in his throat. Going through the castle would cause more trouble then it was worth. He saw the smashed windows and got an idea. Lizzie saw where he was staring and smiled. Nodding to each other, both monsters punched the wall to the hall. A huge hole in the wall opened, George and Lizzie jumped out and gripped the side of the building. Both monsters looked over their shoulders, seeing how high up they were. Lizzie and George exchanged glances, knowing that holding onto the building was at the most importance. The two monsters started to climb the building looking as though they were gliding on it. Guards watched from inside as the monsters fingers impaled the wall. George stopped looking over from the building they were on. Just as he hunch confirmed. Ralph was punching, kicking, roaring, at the ponies as they held spears to him and blasting magic at him. George then saw a white haired ape he was all to familiar with. He had a sick smile on his face and was swinging around a tree at the ponies.
George roared at the top of his lungs. Catching the entire battles attention. Everyone stopped and stared as George and Lizzie climbed down and made their way to the two. Ralph nearly trampled the two as he wrapped them in a bear hug that could give Natalie a run for her money. He released his two friends from the hug. The white haired ape coming up from behind. George narrowed his eyes at the ape while Lizzie tackled him with her own hug. The ponies watching with confused looks.
"Harry! I cant believe your alive!"
Harry spoke in a cocky way, George twitching an eye at the sight. Harry noticed this and gave him a annoying grin.
"Of all the monsters to fall here YOU had to be one of them!?" George spat. Placing a finger on Harry's chest.
Harry laid down Georges finger and wiggled his.
"Now I assure you my dear boy! I wasn't the only monster token here!"
Luna and a bandaged Celestia flew from the crowd. Harry turning to them with a wide grin and his arms folded behind him. It was obvious he was doing this on purpose.
"You said more of you are here?" Luna asked.
"Yes. Quite a few actually."
Harry could see the looks of utter grief come over the two as their eyes twitched at him. Harry let out a chuckle and looked out toward the forest. He lifted a finger at the forest, pointing toward a set of snowy mountains in the distance.
"I found myself over there. In the snowy tundra."
George put a finger to his chin and scratched it. So only a few monsters escaped the explosion. This was good.
"I don't remember their names or what they looked like because I haven't seen them in a week or so."
George felt his eye begin to twitch again. A headache coming along as well. Harry's voice was getting to him. Harry turned to the monsters and the ponies. George, Lizzie, and Ralph following. A sudden shout from below caught Lizzie's attention, she lowered her head to see a familiar lizard she came to know. Spike jumped on her nose, Lizzie raising her head high in the sky.
"Hey Lizzie! I'm glad you and your friends are together again!"
"Thank you Spike. Now my friends and I are going to find the rest of your friends."
[Small Lake Near PonyVille.]
Fluttershy watched as one of her animal friends, a raccoon. She smiled, the look on the critters face was priceless for her. One thing she enjoyed in the world was seeing the smiles of her animal and pony friends. Fluttershy discovered this lake a week ago. It was empty, the water was clean, and the it tasted like fresh water. It was perfect. A tug at her mane made Fluttershy look away to see her bunny Angle with a look of anger on his face. He had a empty bowl in his hands. Fluttershy giggled.
"Oh you must be hungry."
Angel face palmed.
"Alright then, Ill be at the house in a little bit."
Angel nodded before running to the Fluttershy's cottage. She looked back to her raccoon friend. She stopped to see her raccoon friend was gone. She looked around to try and find him. He must have gone along with Angle when she wasn't looking. She shrugged and headed to the cottage. Unknown to Fluttershy, a small pool of blood was forming in the water. A dark figured moved the water with a bellowing roar. A dorsal fin broke the surface of the water, a blue shine coming off the sun. It soon buried itself in the water again, disappearing in the water.
[Canterlot.]
[Day 10. 14:45 pm.]
Canterlot has been under heavy construction for a couple days now. The damage was somewhat major to the castle and to its residents. The hospital had more patients then they knew what to do with. More of them guards, some citizens. Their injured weren't to bad, but they needed to rest for a few days. Because of this, some of Canterlot had barely any guards that could stand watch. Most of the buildings in Canterlot had massive parts of them missing from them. The buildings had massive cracks and dents in the structure. The concrete ground wasn't any different. Large cracks and parts of the ground were smashed in.
Construction crews were called in and they haven't stopped since then, The sounds of heavy machinery ringing through out the castle. The repairs had been slow but steady, with the addition of lunch breaks and the workers taking days off. One mare didn't enjoy hearing these sounds. The ringing in her head made it to where barely any sleep was received. Luna rubbed her head as she walked down one of the repaired hallways. The sun shining through the now multicolored windows. The red carpet stretching through out the building. Luna stopped at the end of the hallway, seeing a stallion guard with a bandage covering his left eye. Luna could see the small dents and scratches on his armor. He was limping on his right leg. He didn't notice the princess as he passed by her, his side facing her. Luna took in a breathe as she resumed her walk through out the castle. Seeing all the damage still waiting to be cleaned up and replaced. She thought back to what Harry said the night before. His voice ringing through her head.
'...Quite a few actually...'
Those words made her blood run cold. How many did he mean by a few? It didn't help knowing Harry didn't know who they were. Was this the start of a world wide invasion? What if these monsters were different then the ones she knew? All these questions, and no answer. All would revealed in time, Luna feared by then it might be to late. Luna didn't notice she walked to the Canterlot garden, luckily it wasn't touched. The beautiful bloom of the flowers had Luna let out a sign of relaxation. The wind brushed by her mane with a soft whistle. She then noticed something, she couldn't hear anything. She was so far away from the construction sight, it couldn't be heard from where she was. Taking in the deep breathe, Luna walked down a dirt path. Observing red, violet roses from the corners of her eyes. The fresh air coursed itself through Luna's lungs, making her stress evaporated into nothing.
A butterfly flew itself to Luna. Landing itself on her snout. She let out a soft giggle as she observed the butterfly on her nose. Luna raised her hoof, trying to touch the beautiful insect. A loud, rumbling roar made Luna flinch. The butterfly flying off from her. Luna observed as it flew away. She signed, so much for relaxing. Another roar brought her attention the mountains in the distance. She let out sign. A voice spoke up from behind her, surprising her.
"What do you think about them?"
Luna turned to see her sister Celestia, less bandages on her body. She walked to Luna side, looking out to the roars.
"I...don't know what to think." she responded.
Celestia didn't say anything. That was the same answer she had. These monsters were dangerous, and weren't strangers to killing others. This only made Celestia worry about how the rest of their friends were. If they were more, or less deadly. If so, Celestia wasn't sure if the current friends they made, would stay that way.
[Fluttershy's Cottage.]
Fluttershy and her friend Twilight watched, from a safe distance of course, as three monsters were playing some weird game with a tree and a boulder. The boulder was the size of the monsters hand. She watched as the wolf held the tree in a ready stance, the other monster was a brown hairy creature holding the boulder with a weird look in his eye. The ape reached behind him, scratching his rear with a disgusting sound coming from it. Fluttershy had to resist from vomiting from the sound, while Twilight wrote down in a clipboard. She wasn't determined to observe these creatures to her best ability. Right now was focused on their physical appearance, next was mental psychology, last was their biology. Twilight was starting to wonder if that last one was a good idea. Shacking the thought of her head, Twilight watched as the ape through the boulder with force. The wolf swung the tree with a grin on his face. The crack of the wood hitting the boulder echoed through out the area. The boulder went flying in the air, flying away across the sky. The wolf whistled.
"Wow. That's my new personal best!" Ralph said, twirling the tree.
George gave him a impressed look.
"Ill say! You knocked it outa the park!"
Twilight and Fluttershy were confused. They didn't know what they were doing but Fluttershy thought it looked fun, while Twilight saw it as information. Next to the two ponies Lizzie was watching on her hinge legs with a smile on her face. Spike was watching from the top of her head. George grabbed another boulder near him. Ralph preps the tree in his hand as George hold up the boulder. He tosses the rock like a fast ball toward Ralph. We quick reflexes, Ralph swings the tree with force. The tree snapped in two and the boulder rushed past it toward Lizzie and Spike. Everyone's eyes were on the boulder as it approached the two lizards. Lizzie grabbed Spike from her head, tucking him in her chest. The boulder slammed into her arm, bouncing off and rolling across the ground. Lizzie groaned in pain as she unraveled Spike from her chest. Everyone ran over to the two, Lizzie holding her arm.
"Are you two alright?" George asked.
Spike looked up to George.
"I'm fine. I think Lizzies hurt though."
George and Ralph looked over to Lizzie, she was holding her arms and licking some sort of green liquid from a scratch. Ralph turns away from Lizzie and sees Spike sucking a speck of the same liquid from his arm. He gulped. Turing his attention back toward Lizzie. She stood up, a confident look on her face.
"I'm fine. Its just a little scratch."
George narrowed his eyes.
"Still, clean that wound. I don't want to see your blood scattered across this place."
Lizzie nodded. She knew what he meant by that. Lizzie strolled away from the group toward a small lake in the forest. Lizzie rested her arm in the water, scrubbing it with her hand. The blood soon disappeared into the water, leaving a green scar on the lizards arm. She noticed something. A dark shadow moving under the water. Its was huge, and fast as well. Lizzie gave a puzzled look. She leaned into the water, trying to see what was moving. All she could see was a dark bottom of a blue lake. She shrugged it off and leaned back to get back to her friends. She heard the water splash below her, a large fin like hand emerged from the water and grabbed Lizzie by her arm. She gasped as the hand pulled her under the water. She held her breathe as best she could, turning to see her attacker. Her eyed went wide seeing its golden glowing eyes. The creature stopped and gave Lizzie a wide smile, showing wide and sharp teeth in its mouth. It laughed as it looked at her directly in the eyes.
Everyone had been waiting for more then an hour for Lizzie to get back. A series of footsteps was heard, everyone looked to see Harry approaching them, a wide grin on his face. George grunted.
"Why hello my companions! I must ask, why are you just sitting here?"
"Were waiting for Lizzie to get finished cleaning herself."
Harry snickered. Walking over and sitting next to Ralph. George heard the snicker and raised an eyebrow.
"What's so funny?"
Harry snickered again. Georges feeling another migraine come on.
"Nothing. I'm just glad one of you three is keeping their bodily hygiene healthy."
George and Ralph felt their faces burn as Harry started to laugh. Both growled before tackling the yeti in a cloud. Sounds of punches, kicks, snarls, and sounds of air escaping lungs made Twilight and Spike roll their eyes. Fluttershy flew up to the brawling monsters. Calling them out. The three monsters stopped their brawl and looked at the frowning pony. Fluttershy glint as she saw the pose they were stuck in. Ralph had Harry in headlock, Harry was biting Georges leg, and George had his arm lifted to punch Harry in the face. The monsters unwrapped from their game of twister and stood still in front of Fluttershy. She narrowed her eyes at them, George let out a sign.
"Sorry...about...that." he said hesitantly.
Fluttershy's frown vanished and was replaced by a smile. She turned away from the three, George smiled and slugged Harry in his side. Sending him flying. Fluttershy turned around with wide eyes, George smiled and shrugged. Ralph rubbed the back of his neck, looking toward Lizzie had gone off to. She's been gone for an hour now.
"I'm going to check on Lizzie." he said pointing in the direction.
Harry picked himself up and was about to speak, Ralph roared, stopping him with red burning in his cheeks.
"SHE IS NOT TAKING A BATH YOU TWIT!"
Harry let out a small smile as Ralph turned and walked. Everyone watched as Ralph stormed off into the forest. George had tears in his eyes from trying not to laugh when Ralph snapped at Harry.
Ralph eventually found the lake where Lizzie went to wash her arm off. He smelled the air. Lizzie was here, and still is. Ralph looked around for his scaly friend. Seeing nothing, the last thing he thought she would be was-
"Dear lord...please don't tell me."
Ralph slowly approached the lake. Looking over into the blue and black color of the water. He let a breathe, kneeling until his head was near the water surface. Lizzie sent was right on the surface. She was in the water. Ralph gulped, he took in a deep breathe. He flung his head into the water, the cold temperature of the water his head freezing. Ralph opened his eyes, looking around the lake for Lizzie. No sign of her, he narrowed is eyes in confusion. He then heard a roar, under the water with him! He looked straight to see a dark figure vastly approaching him. His eyes went wide, he almost wasted his breathe as he saw the figure approaching him. The figure tackled him, both him and it flying out the water with a enormous splash. Ralph could hear coughing as he shacked off the water on his fur. He felt scaly arms wrapped around him, he looked down to see Lizzie with a scared look on her face.
"Liz? Whats-"
"No time! We have to go before-"
Another figure burst from the water, covering the two monsters in another coat of water. Ralph spurt water from his water. Both monsters looked at the figure with shock as it stood over them. Its white and golden eyes staring at the two. Ralph could see a spear like object coming from the figures back, the wide range of its jaw, and the color of its skin. He grunted as he figured it out.
"Marco? Seriously man!?"
Marco gave a wide eyed look before laughing nervously. Marco moved out of the sun, showing himself in the light. Lizzie sprung up from Ralph and growled at the shark monster. More nervous laughter came out of him as he put up his fin like hands in defense. Large footstep were heard, the three monsters looking to see George and Harry approaching. George giving a surprised expression.
"Marco! Is that you?"
Marco felt himself face palm.
"Yeah, yeah its me."
Marcos western accent was music to his friends ears, to most of them anyways. Lizzie was still angry knowing it was Marco who was keeping her under the water for awhile. Speaking of which. Lizzie slugged Marco in the back of his head making him lurch forward.
"That's for keeping under the water for too damn long!"
Marco retaliated with a menacing snarl to Lizzie.
"That's because I thought you was food!" he roared.
The two monsters were soon in each others faces. Staring each other down.
"Food!? I'm a three story tall lizard, how in the hell do I look like food!?"
"In case you haven't noticed darlin! I'm a god damn shark! I eat frickin everything!"
Tensions were growing between the two as the argument pushed on. Both were huffing in each others faces.
"Okay. Lets all calm down now. Cant we just forgot this happened?"
Marco and Lizzie crossed their arms and looked away from each other. George signed and pinched his temple. Not a month went by in the lab without the big shark almost eating another monster. George made his way in the middle of the two. Wrapping them in each of his arms. He grinned as the two looked at him with wide eyes.
"Well lets look at it like this. At least our numbers have grown."
The shark and lizard exchanged looks. Marco let out a sign, lifting his fin hand in front of Lizzie. She stared at it with confusion. Marco felt his gears grinding in his head.
"I'm offering an apology darlin. Please take and make it easier livin here for all of us."
Lizzie nodded. Griping Marcos scaly hand with her own. The monsters shook and released their hands from each other. Harry started to clap, all glancing toward him.
"Bravo! Now that's fun to see right there!"
Twilight comes flying to Marcos face. Her eyes wide with excitement. Marco smelled her, the smell of her flesh made his mouth water. George smacked the back of his head. Marco smiled with embarrassment. Twilight took her clipboard out and wrapped her pencil in magic as she slammed Marco with a serious of questions Marco couldn't even understand.
"Howareyouimfinemynamestwilightimwanttoknowallaboutyoutomybestability!"
Marco raised his hand to Twilight, stopping her from her long train of talking.
"Listen doll. Your gonna have to slow it down for meh."
Twilight felt her face flush and cleared her throat.
"Sorry. I'm Twilight, I was hoping to ask you a few questions so I can learn more about you!"
Marco shrugged. It was just like back at the labs with the monthly check up with the monsters.
"Alright then. Shoot."
Twilight giggled in excitement. She wrote something down in her clipboard. Next she spoke a question that made Marco twitch an eye.
"First question. What kind of animal are you?"
[Castle Twilight.]
[Day 11. 13:55 pm.]
Twilight could handle dangerous monsters that threatened PonyVille and Equestria. She could handle deadly resurrected kings from taking over a forgotten kingdom. She could even handle keeping a couple of monsters from another dimension from killing each other. What she couldn't handle though, was a mountain of paper work. The thought of it, gave her a headache. Most of the paperwork was about her giant friends shenanigans from destroying property, killing livestock, or scaring the locals. Twilights top priority right now though, is to keep the monsters from being shown in public. If ponies knew the monsters were here and how dangerous they were, no doubt pandemonium would spread. Twilights magic engulfed itself around a quill pen, she begun reading a letter from a mare from inside PonyVille. Twilight signed, yet another animal disappearance letter.
'Dear Princess Twilight,
I went to check on my cat one after noon and all I found of her was her collar. I followed a blood trial to the edge of town and saw a huge hairy monster walking away. I beg of you to do something about this thing.'
Twilight rubbed her eyes. These letters were getting more and more hard to ignore. She would toss or write back to the ponies who sent the letters saying she would do something about the monster. By now, she's running out of excuses. Sooner or later, ponies will put two and two together and will ask for the militaries help. The thought of it made her shiver knowing how violent the monsters could get and how they weren't afraid to kill.
She heard a knock at the door. It was faint, but she heard it. Twilight used her magic to open the door. She smiled seeing Spike, in her mind she frowned from the papers under his arm.
"Sorry about disturbing you Twilight but more letters and documents came in from the mail room."
Twilight signed.
"That's alright Spike, just put them on my desk and ill...get to them eventually."
Spike raised in an eyebrow to Twilight. She was looking at him funny. Twilight was seeing a much more darker colored Spike with golden pupils. His regular purple scales were now a dark shade of violet. His green spikes and belly were a much darker shade, and were more pointed almost dagger sharp. Twilight didn't know what she was looking at. She got out of her chair, keeping her eyes on Spike as she walked up to him. She turned his head seeing the violet scales shine in the sunlight.
"What are you doing?" he asks.
Twilight then sees something glowing inside Spike. His veins. They were glowing a bright light green. Spike pulled away from Twilight with a confused look on his face. She gave a worried look to the dragon. Spike crossed his arms at Twilight.
"What are you looking...at?"
Spike looses himself as he turns and sees himself in a mirror. He narrows his eyes, walking toward the mirror and seeing his eyes glow in the shade. He then noticed in his arms, the glowing veins running through his body. Testing himself, Spike placed two of his claws and placed them on both end of his eye lids. He pulled them apart, seeing more green inside his flesh.
"What's happening to me?" Spike said to himself. As he looked into his eyes.
Seeing Twilight in the background, he turned with a worried look of his own. The two stared at each other in silence, the room became quiet. Spike felt himself begin to shake. He could hear his heart start to beat out of control. Sweat beginning to run down his face. His legs begin to tremble, not being able to keep himself upright. Twilight rushed over to her friend, catching him before he fell on his side. Twilight could feel how hot Spikes body felt. He was running an intense fever. Twilight didn't know what to do, she thought her friend was dying right in her arms. Tears formed in Twilights eyes as Spike started to twitch and shake. His body beginning to glow from the inside.
Spike didn't know what was happening. He couldn't feel most of his body, including his own face. Spike could see green engulf his vision as he started to snarl and growl. Spike could hear his heart beating faster as he his body felt as though it became larger. He looked to his right hand, seeing growing in size. Twilight had no choice but to release Spike as his body was growing at an exponential rate. His tail became longer in size and length. His legs grew enormous, his arms and chest became muscular. Twilight up more, seeing his neck had grown in length and his face became more like a strange reptiles head. She couldn't move, Twilights body was frozen. Seeing her friend now had become a monster! The monstrous Spike let out a bellowing growl, looking down at the princess. Another moment of silence. Spike was crouching inside the small castle room. Twilight could feel his breathe as he sniffed her. Trying to keep still so she wouldn't agitate him. The monster Spike roared at Twilight, the heavy wind of the roar blowing Twilights mane. The monster Spike gave a sinister grin directly at Twilight. Her eyes going wide from the grin. Hard knocks ringing through the small room.
"Princess Twilight! Are you alright!?"
Spike roared, grabbing Twilight with his hand and bashing the wall to the room. The sunshine in the room slightly blinded Spike as he jumped out of the building, Twilight in his grasp. He landed on the ground with both his feet. The monster Spike roared at the top of his lungs into the air, ponies screamed in terror. Running for their lives as the monster stopped towards PonyVille. Spike plunged his fist into a building. The structure went flat as he pulled his fist out of it. He then rammed his tail through a whole block of buildings. The debris flying in the sky as a dust cloud covered the monster. Twilight tried to break free of Spikes grip, hitting his hand with her hooves. She called out to him, trying to have him stop this rampage. Spike lifted to his hostage to eye level, letting out a bellowing roar in her face. He proceeded to smash different buildings until they were flat on the ground. Spike then took in a deep breathe, smoke coming through his nose. Twilights eyes went wide, heat around Spike increased and his chest was inflated. Twilight watched as a green fire spewed from Spikes mouth. Burning more buildings around them with the force and heat of the fire breathe. Spike looked to the sky and let a mighty roar.
A boulder came from nowhere, knocking Spike in the back of his head. He growled and turned to see where the rock came from. He snarled seeing five other monsters, narrowing their eyes at him. A reptile like him made her way to the front. Spike snarled at her, barring his teeth. The lizard didn't flinch from the act of intimidation.
Lizzie looked into her friends eyes. Trying to see if their was anything left of her friends mind. Spike roared and lunged forward for Lizzie. Lizzie charged forward as well. Both monsters collided into each other. Lizzie grabbed Spikes neck, Spike tried to bite Lizzies hand as he brought her hand back. Lizzie slugged Spike in his jaw. He dropped to the ground on his side. Lizzie grabbed Spike into a headlock, trying to wear him down. Spikes grip on Twilight loosened, she scrabbled out of his claw and ran toward her castle. At the entrance of her castle, her friends were watching the fight. They wrapped Twilight in a emotional hug. Rarity spoke up from the hug looking Twilight over for injuries.
"Oh my goodness! Twilight darling are you alright!?"
Twilight looked back to the brawling lizards. Spike had thrown Lizzie off of him and into another building. She looked back to her friends with a determined look.
"I'm fine, but we need to get Spike under control."
The group gasped. Piecing together that their dragon friend had now become a monster in a blink of an eye.
"How did this even happen?" asks Applejack.
Twilight thought back, trying to remember a time when Spike did something to cause this mutation. Twilight couldn't think of anything. To her, this was a spontaneous mutation, and a bad one at that. Rumbling footsteps could be heard behind the group as a giant blue haired wolf stared down at the group of ponies. Twilight and Fluttershy were confused to why Ralph had come over but everyone else was terrified. Ralph crouched to the group of ponies, sniffing the ones who he didn't know. Snorting, Ralph reached for Twilight. Rainbow Dash gritted her teeth. She didn't want her friend to be grabbed by another monster, she threw her leg into Ralphs chest. The wolf didn't even flinch, grabbing Rainbow Dash by her wings and setting her down next to her friends.
"I know what happened to Spike."
The group looked up at him with wide eyed looks. Twilight walked up to Ralph and stared into his golden pupils.
"You do?"
He nodded. Ralph took one of his claws and deeply scratched his arm. Green blood oozing from the wound. Rarity covered her mouth with her hoof to keep from vomiting from the sight.
"Spike accidently drunk Lizzies blood when she was hit with the rock."
Twilight raised an eye brow.
"How could your blood mutate Spike? That just doesn't make any sense."
Ralph signed. Looking at his scratch. Memories running back inside his head from when he was still, was, a human. Ralph broke his train of thought seeing the ponies looking at him with wide eyed looks.
"Because our blood...has chemicals that when is ingested, turn you into a monster."
Twilight saw Ralph hesitate. He was uncomfortable about sharing this information. Ralph then turned to his friends, taking turns fighting Spike. He looked back at the ponies with a depressed expression.
"Its also the reason...why me and my friends exists."
The ponies went wide eyed. The thought of these monsters being someone else before they were monsters was impossible. Ralph jolted to his full height. Turning back to his friends, running toward them on all fours. With Spike directly in his sights, Ralph charged toward the dragon full speed. Spike had just thrown off George off of him before noticing Ralph charging him. He tried to move but found it useless as Ralph speared Spike and landed on top of him.
"Grab 'em!" Ralph roared to his friends.
The monsters dog piled Spike. He kicked and growled at the monsters held him down, grabbing each of his limbs.
"Lizzie! You know what to do!"
Lizzie nodded. gripping Spikes arms with both her hands. Without hesitation, Lizzie snapped her jaws into Spikes arms. He shrieked in pain from the bite as he could feel Lizzie biting harder on his arm. Lizzie begun drinking the infected blood inside Spikes veins. Draining her friend of the infection. Spikes resistance begun to stop. The monsters let go of Spike as he started to shrink in size. His color returning to normal. Soon Spike was laying unconscious at the feet of the monsters. All looked at him with confused looks.
"He's just a kid?" Marco said poking him.
Lizzie picked up Spike under hand and walked over to Castle Twilight. She lowered Spike into Twilights arms with a small smile. All the monsters huddled around the ponies as Spike coughed and wheezed. He opened his normal yellow eyes looking at them.
"What are you guys looking at?"

[Hayseed Swamps.]
[Day 13. 15:10 pm.]
She loved this location. The dark and wet look of the trees and the waters. The smell of it, absolutely wonderful! She didn't quite know how she got there or why, but she did know one thing. For a monster her size, it was like she was on vacation. Most of the wild life run away or hid somewhere from her. Easy food she thought. Easy food was perfect for her, it was like the inhabitants of this strange place were just opening themselves out to her. Truth be told, even the larger males ran away screaming. Was it something she said? Was it her breathe? She didn't know. She moved between a watery clearing with dark and vine trees on each side of her. It was a little cramped due to her size. She was twice the size of a normal monster which was normal for what she mutated into. It actually made her more powerful and intimidating to other monsters, especially males. That was her one goal in life since she was born and after her mutation, to find the perfect male. She thought any male found her irresistible because of how beautiful she was. She tried countless times with the monsters in the laboratory, however no luck. The monster looked up to see the sun above the swampy trees, the humidity felt wonderful to her. Was this paradise? Did she found a place to call home that wasn't a prison cell? She felt herself squeal with excitement. What came out was...a literal squeak. She covered her jaws with two of her eight legs. Signing, remembering what she mutated into. A spider. A gross, creepy, and ugly spider. Out of all the animals and insects, a spider had to be her form? The concept didn't sit well with her. The spider crawled to the tree tops, moving four legs at a time to move herself across the tops of the trees. She didn't know how she was doing this but she was glad it worked right.
The spider saw over the trees a small shack on the murky water. A small light glowing in the single window of it. The spider smiled as she saw her next meal walk out of the shack with blue overalls and a straw hat. A smile came across her as the pony sat in a wooden chair and began to rock back and forth. The spider crawled down the trees and used the darkness as cover as she stalked behind the pony. Sinking herself in the water, the spider used her eight legs as propellers to move herself toward her food. The pony observed his surroundings, adoring the swamp to the fullest before he would pass away soon. The pony knew he didn't have anything left to live for as he would die soon. He heard the water splash, looking out to the swamp with a raised eye brow. Must have been a animal. The pony tilted his straw hat and rocked himself back and forth again.
The shack was destroyed in an instance as a huge spider erupted from the water and bit down on the pony. He screamed in agony as the mandibles of the spider twisted him and ripped him apart until the screaming had stopped. With a satisfying burp, the spider walked along further in the swamp. Crawling along the water and trees with a slow and steady speed. She saw how the water begun to disappear and the trees were becoming more open.
The spider soon came apon a clearing of the forest, showing a dry landscape in front of her. Her four blue eyes went wide as she walked out of the forest with caution. The heat of the ground was intense, being it had been baking in the sun all day. She walked aimlessly until she spotted buildings in the distance. Smiling with destruction filled lust, the spider walked towards the buildings.
[Dodge Junction.]
[16:00 pm.]
Applejack has never needed a vacation quite like this before. With meeting monsters that were three stories tall, it can take it out of you. Even though Dodge Junction was her vacation spot, she came here to check on an old friend of hers and see if any other monsters had shown up. Luckily, it looked as though nothing had happened to the place. No buildings looked as though they were still being rebuilt. No new graves in the cemetery. Everything was normal for now. Just as she was told though, ponies had learned about the monsters. Some were terrified of them. Running away with fear if one ever showed itself. Then their are the ones who found love to kill one of them if they showed their faces. Applejack had to admit, these ponies were brave but stupid. Their was more then meets the eye when it came to the monsters. You would have to be extremely brave if you went one on one with one of those things. Even if they did, it would prove useless because of their strength and size.
Applejack proceeded to walk until she came to the front door of a stone brick house. She knocked at the front door listening as pots and pans rattle around inside. A series of crashes were heard inside as a series of cussing and mumbling. A dark green stallion opened the door with a large cooking pot in the top of his head. He pulled it off, fixing his hat to see Applejack standing their with a wide smile. He tossed the pot aside and wrapped the her in a death hug. His distant accent she knew all to well.
"Top of the mornin Applejack! What can I do ya furr?"
Applejack broke the hug and looked to his friend with a smile.
"Thanks Jack. I just came here to check up on ya'll. Ya know, with all these here monster attacks."
Jack laid a bowl in front of Applejack. A red liquid swishing around in it. Applejack gave a disgusted look at the bowl, not sure of what it was.
"Its tomato soup AJ. You don't like it?"
Applejack felt herself cussing herself in her mind as Jack looked at her with a blank expression. Applejack took a wooden spoon from the table top and scooped it up full of tomato soup. She didn't hate the stuff, she just wasn't used to eating it. She dunked the spoon into her mouth. Oh yes, she wasn't used to it at all. Jack watched as Applejack swallowed the spoon full with a gulp, feeling accomplished he gave a wide smile. Applejack pushed aside the bowl and looked at Jack with a serious look.
"Listen Jack, I didn't come here to taste test your soups. I came here to make sure ya'll were okay."
Jack nodded. Grabbing a news paper from the other side of the table. He dropped it next to Applejack and sat in a chair next to her. The news paper read with big bold lettering and a picture of a dark giant figure with bright glowing eyes.
'MONSTERS IN EQUESTRIA!'
Applejack read on.
'Yesterday, PonyVille was absolutely devastated by six giant monsters making it their personal wrestling ring. More then a dozen ponies were injured and no casualties. Police are saying the monsters responsible are now wanted by the Equestrian government. A high price placed on each of their heads for the lucky ponies, or other creatures that bring them in dead or alive.'
Applejack couldn't believe what she was reading. What did this have to do with checking up on the town? Jack answered her before she could answer.
"A couple days ago, this huge red monster with a cow skull that was on fire came through and asked where was the most isolated spot in Equestria. Of course we pointed him to the badlands. Scary lookin guy too. I don't think any of us would forget how nice he was. He looked as though he was ready to kill but matter of fact he was the complete opposite."
Screams could be heard from the inside. AJ and Jack looked at each other before running out of the house and seeing ponies running with looks of fear in their eyes. Buildings could be heard being crushed and pieces of them were thrown across the sky. Landing on more structures, crushing ponies underneath them. Jack stopped a pony who was running and asked what was going on. The pony spoke frantically, his breathe heavy.
"Its a huge...big...creepy...!"
"Spit it out!" Jack shook him.
The pony pointed behind Jack. Both Jack and AJ turned to see the monster in the cover of a dust storm. Jacks eyes went wide and he screamed.
"ITS A GIANT FOCKING SPIDER!"
She couldn't believe how easy this was. Nobody was even fighting back. No guns, rockets, or ponies throwing stuff at you. This place really was paradise. To bad she was the only one here. A thought came to her mind as she scooped up a pony threw it in her mandibles.
'These ponies taste...differently then humans. I lady like myself could get used to this.'
A sharp pain shot at her abdomen. She turned to see flying ponies carrying torches and pitchforks. She snarled at the ponies as they threw their pitchforks at her. Impaling her in her abdomen. A squeak escaped her as she charged the ponies. They took off into the sky, avoiding her eight legs and jumps as she tried to catch them like flies.
'Flies! That's right! Sarah your a genius arachnid!'
Just like that, Sarah pointed her abdomen toward the ponies much to their confusion. A white string spurt from an opening in her back, covering the fliers in webs. Sarah smiled as she saw the ponies struggle in the web. She made her approach to the ponies, a sinister grin on her mandibles. Drooling with excitement. One by one, Sarah picked up the ponies and threw them inside her mouth. The crunching of their bones and flesh could be heard beyond their screams of pain.
Applejack and Jack couldn't stand to see what was going on. Turning away from the attack, they ran toward the train station. Most of the ponies inside Dodge Junction had the same idea, flooding the train station and trying to get out of town before it was to late. Ponies poured into the train as the giant spider swept its legs like broomsticks, sending debris flying nearly landing on the train station. Jack and Applejack had to keep from separating, staying close to each other as best they could. They soon were on the train, they didn't care about finding a seat same thing with other ponies. The train started, the sound of the pistons turning was music to Applejacks ears. However, she saw Jack staring outside. AJ turned her attention to the outside, seeing ponies banging on the glass. Applejack saw a pony wearing a conductors uniform, struggling to make his way through the crowd.
"What aren't ya'll letting anyone else on?"
"Don't have enough space. We only have train for now as well."
Applejack couldn't believe what she was hearing. They would leave these ponies to die to this thing? The thought made her blood boil. Jack grabbed the conductor by the collar of his shirt.
"What in the name of Celestia in wrong with you ponies! You have to make room somehow!"
The conductor broke free of Jacks grip and fixed himself.
"Look. We don't have anymore room. For Faust's sake, we had to fill the caboose!"
The argument ended with the conductor struggling through the group of ponies once more. The train began to move, slowly moving as the ponies outside banged harder on the window. Applejack couldn't watch, turning away from the scene. Jack watched as the ponies were soon out of sight. He looked outside the window, seeing the spider trample the station. Ponies began to run into in the desert, others were being eaten by the spider. The train sped faster, heading toward the next town. Appaloosa.
Sarah has never felt so full in her life. For ponies that weren't even the size of her fangs, they sure do full a stomach. Night soon descended itself apon the land as Sarah felt herself grown tired. Taking one last look, Sarah gazed apon the destroyed town she accomplished. Spinning another web, Sarah laid herself inside her web. Lowering herself on the ground, her eight legs surrounding her. Sarah soon drifted off the sleep, no knowing of something staring at her from inside the swamp. His fiery skull looking at her with an evil stare.
[Outside Dodge Junction.]
[Two days earlier. 11:45 am.]
Out of all the things to happen to a monster his size, losing his head had to be the funniest and absolutely annoying thing to happen. It was funny because losing your head, quite literally, was amusing to him and his friends. As if he had any. The bad thing about it was he had to guide his own body to find it. Him , besides a few monsters inside the labs, were scary in their own way. That lion was easily annoyed and hot tempered, the warthog made it his personal mission to make others miserable, the shark and wolf would eat anything that was thrown in front of them, and then their was HER. The spider. She made it her mission to hunt down the males of the labs and stalk them until they would integrate with her. Personally, he didn't mind the attention from the female. Now if she was a different form then a spider that was twice as big from all the other monsters then he would take the bait.
Moving on, the flaming cow skull sat and waited fro his body to find him, again. Hearing heavy footsteps, his cow skull gave a slight smile. A pair of huge blood red hands picked up the skull and placed him at the top of a towering red goliath. He signed and continued his walk into the desert. The heat didn't bother him, it was almost like he was immune to it. This benefit was his favorite feature of being a lab rat for Scum Labs. He hated the labs with a burning passion. No pun intended. They forced him to drink their ass tasting soda. It was all for the sake of science they said. They said he would be paid enfold for it. If their was one thing he hated most of being lied to. Lying to a monster like him a very unwise decision. For a monster of his brutality, being lied or betrayed brought out the animal in him.
He soon came apon what looked like little ponies with a carriage. Two in the front pulling it, and from what he smelled, two more in the back. Noticing how they haven't spotted him yet, the red giant ducked behind a rock. He watched as the ponies passed by the rock he was hiding without knowledge of what was looking at them. He then saw something that made him growl under his breathe with his skull looking angry. More ponies followed behind the carriage, but they were dressed differently and were carrying weapons of some sorts. He spotted one who had a sinister grin on its face. He watched as the ponies slowly followed the carriage. The red goliath took it apon himself to follow them. He talked to himself as he followed the ponies, his voice was low with a slight echo to it.
"Alright Nick...time to show you're still human."
[Dodge Junction.]
Nick had never seen a town quite like this before. He hid behind a series of rock formations so that the ponies couldn't see him. Having his bitter judgment back, Nick didn't want to attract attention just yet. Hopefully, the white ape that he met with has kept that promise as well. Though looking as though he was a spawn of hell, Nick wasn't a social monster. He preferred to be left alone most of the time to think. Thinking about his future, if he'll ever have one again. Spinning his head around, Nick returned his attention to the town. Seeing the ponies he had been tailgating the entire time.
He watched as the carriage ponies stopped outside a small building in the town. The two other ponies in the back climbing out, it appeared to be a mother with her child. He turned to the outskirts of the town, not seeing the ponies who were following the carriage. Nick knew this was suspicious. Where did those ponies disappear too? They couldn't have just left without him knowing. It was hard to get anything past Nick, he was very observant monster. Right on queue, the weapon wielding ponies walked into the town. The citizens ran inside most of the buildings, clearly terrified of the group. He watched as the group surrounded the carriage. Nick could hear the ponies talking to each other.
"So you ponies want to do this the easy way? Or the hard?"
Some of the menacing ponies laughed and brought out their weapons. The mother grabbed her foal and held her tight. He heard one of the carriage ponies speak out against the ponies.
"Now listen, we don't want trouble from you bandits."
Bandits eh? Nick thought this was interesting to him seeing how everything else in this world tame compared to earth. Nick leaned in from behind the rock, seeing of the bandits would do anything. One of the bandits, who Nick was guessing, was the leader because of the armor he was wearing. He was wearing a metal shoulder brace that was strapped to his neck. He had a typical black Mohawk which most bandits he saw in video games wear. None the less, Nick listened in.
"Well see...that ship has sailed. Now what we want from you is everything inside that carriage you got."
The carriage ponies eyes went wide. The lead pony who was talking with the bandit leader gritted his teeth. The pony leader then pulled something from behind him, it was a large blade, a machete he guessed. He watched as the bandits circled the carriage ponies. Nick already didn't like these ponies. From the looks of how empty the town became when the bandits entered town, they had an element that made them known. Fear. The town folks were scared of them, letting them come in and take what ever they want when they want. Bullies, that's what they were. Nick could feel anger boil inside of him. Gripping the hill with his large hand, cracking the surface with his strength. The bandits stopped circling the carriage, all exchanging looks of evil. One of the bandits swung a wooden bat, hitting the lead pony in the back of the head. He collapsed to the ground, the screams of the female and the crying of the foal could be heard. Nicks boiling point exploded, he let out a menacing roar, catching the attention of the ponies in the town below. Nick stomped down the hill, his enormous arms swinging side to side with fists at the ends of them. The earth rumbling under with every step.
The bandits scrambled like cockroaches. Running in separate directions, colliding into each other at random. Nick stomped on some of the bandits. Their bodies becoming flat on impact. Nick then picked up a female bandit that was running away from him. He punched and bit his hand, trying to break free from the monsters grip. Nick chuckled, grabbing the ponies torso with his other hand. He could hear her plead for her life as he gripped her. Without hesitation, Nick bent the pony in half. The sound of her spine snapping was music to his ears. Nick threw the pieces into his jaw, grinding the parts within. He swallowed the parts large gulp. Remembering why he came down here, Nick turned to the carriage ponies. The lead holding the back of his head with a bloody rag. Nick stepped toward the ponies, his footsteps rumbling the ground. The demon kneeled to the group, he tried to speak with a caring voice but his echo made it a little difficult.
"Are you alright?"
The female walked up to Nick. Her orange fur shining in the sunlight. Behind her leg was her child, looking at Nick with a curious look. The females voice was, unlike Nicks, was soft.
"Were fine, my father just suffered an injury."
Nick looked up, seeing the other male pony helping the other one on his hooves. He felt a soft pat on his leg, looking down to see the foal looking up at him. The foals eyes were huge with sapphire pupils. From the sound of it, he was no older then six.
"If you don't mind me asking sir. What's your name?"
Nick admired the child's manners. Nick chuckled grabbing his cow skull with his hand and lowering it to the foal. The foal brought up his arms in defense, a small squeak escaping him. Nick chuckled again, the foal lowering his hooves to see. The mother came from behind joining in on the laugh.
"My names Nick little guy."
[Present Day.]
[19:30 pm.]
Nick was brought back to the present from his flashback. Seeing night had descended apon Equestria. His fire illuminating his skull inside the swamp. He forgot how long he had been walking in the swamp. It must have been hours since he last saw a populated area. He heard a large building collapse in the distance. Running toward the sound in a hurry. Nick stopped at the tree line, seeing a large web in the middle of Dodge Junction.
"You have got to kidding me." Nick said to himself, gripping his horns.
Nick then saw the female spider he was all to familiar with. She had destroyed the town, taking it over and making it her own domain. Nick didn't want this to go unanswered for. He stepped out of the tree line, stomping toward the web with a growl in his throat. Nick brought his arm back and grabbed the spider by her neck. She squirmed in his grip, trying to bite him with her massive fangs. Nick had to admit, he was surprised he was holding up Sarah with one hand. He roared in the spiders eyes, both monsters stopping and looking at each other.
"Nick?" Sarah said softly.
Nick dropped the spider and crossed his arms with an angry look on his skull.
"Hi Sarah."
The monsters stood in silence in the middle of the web. The moment became awkward. Sarah spoke up.
"So uh...what brings you here?"
"Were not staying here." Nick growled.
Sarah's eyes went wide and looked at Nick.
"With the town destroyed, most likely military will come in to kill you. Our best chance is to find who other came here to, agreed?"
Sarah nodded. Both monsters then started walking under the moonlight. Nicks fire acting like a torch.
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 15. 8:05 am.]
Waiting was something all of the monsters were used to. They waited for their food. Their water. For some of the Scum Labs monsters, they even had to wait for their medication. Ralph hated waiting the most. He had, in competition with Marco, the biggest appetite in Scum Labs. So waiting for food was Scum Labs form of torturing him, and he knew the workers enjoyed messing with him like that. A few scientists and handlers ended up his food because of it. A low rumble escaped Ralphs stomach at the thought. His eyes shot open from his deep sleep. Looking around, seeing none of his friends were around. They must have gone off without him, as usual. Another rumble from his stomach.
Ralph tossed and turned on the trees. Trying to get his stomach out of his mind. He growled in his throat. Ralph figured his stomach was telling him to wake up and get some food along the others. He uncurled himself from the trees, stretching himself out like a dog. A small moan escaping him. The cracks of his bones felt amazing to the wolf, the feeling of them loosening made Ralph smile. Standing up on his back legs, Ralph sniffed the air. Trying to smell a nearby animal to devour. After a few whiffs, he couldn't smell anything. He could only smell the aroma of the trees. Odd, he thought. Normally the animals would all over by now, scavenging for food to eat. Maybe the others already rounded up breakfast? If that was the case, why weren't they at camp eating? Ralph then thought of something. Were they captured again? If that was the case, who done it? All these questions and no answers.
A large fin hand landed on Ralphs shoulder, he turned to see Marco with a large fish inside his mouth. His teeth drenched in blood. A wide smile, showing all of his teeth. Ralph flinched slightly at the site. Marco grabbed the tail of the fish, pulling it until the flesh separated and blood leaked like a water gun out of the end. Marco then swallowed his food whole, no hesitation at all. Now Ralph was both curious and angry.
"What the hell happened to you guys? Where did you go?"
Marco raised his fin hands in defense, his wide smile looking almost innocent.
"You was sleeping mate, so me and the guys, and gal, went to find some food."
Well that theory was confirmed. They did go out to find food. Ralph had to respect the fact his friends didn't want to disturb him. Sleep was something Ralph enjoyed deeply, it was one of his favorite things to do besides destroying buildings and-
"Say uh...do you have any food left?"
Marco gave him a look like it was stupid question. In which case it was. Either his friends had left a entire pile for himself to gorge on, or Marco had eaten everything. Great whites are always hungry he says. Which was true to the fact Marco was indeed, a great white shark. So he was just as hungry as Ralph. Marcos look softened, grabbing something from behind him and tossing it to Ralph. He catches another fish that Marco had caught. Ralph looks up to the shark with wide eyes. Marco lets out a chuckle before walking off into the forest. Ralph then precedes to tear the fish apart and swallowing chunks of it into his throat. With a satisfied burp, Ralph followed Marco to a lake where the rest of the monsters where having a ball.
A sudden soft cough came from behind Ralph, he turned to see the princess of the night herself. Princess Luna, with a strange jar of blue liquid in a magic cloud next to her. Marco and Ralph eyed the glass jar with confused looks. Luna giggled. Luna shouted toward the other monsters, gaining their attention like deer in head lights.
"Gather friends, I have something for you all!"
All the monsters gathered around the flying alicron, all their expressions with curiosity. Luna used her magic to remove the cork at the end of the bottle. The strange smell escaped the small jar, Ralph flinching from the smell. If something didn't smell right to Ralph, he knew what ever he was about to eat was gross.
"After much help from my friend Zecora, we have come up with a potion that turn you all normal!"
The monsters gave each other happy looks. George and Harry high fived, and Ralph howled. Luna then pointed toward Lizzie with her hoof. The lizard pointed her finger to her chest in confusion. Luna nodded.
"Lizzie. Care to volunteer?" she said. A slight show of worry in her voice.
Lizzie gulped, approaching Luna and opening her mouth wide. Luna poured a drop down Lizzies throat. She swallowed the drop with a little hesitation. For a minute nothing happened. Lizzie felt normal, no tingling inside her stomach, no sharp pain growing through her entire body, no growing in size, nothing. She then felt the world begin to grow larger, or rather she was shrinking! Lizzie to see her claw had turned to a forest green hoof. Looking herself over, her entire body was green. Smiling, Lizzie quickly ran over to the lake and looked in it. A grin the size of Marcos came across her face as she saw her pony form. She didn't have her monster eyes, just plain yellow eyes. However she actually had hair. It was messy golden hair style. Lizzie looked up, seeing the rest of the monsters giving her astonished looks.
Luna, feeling accomplished, looked to the other monsters. All of them looked eager to do the same. One by one, she poured drops down their throats, all turning into different ponies. All then precede to the same lake looking themselves over.
George had brown fur with a somewhat lighter brown mane that looked like it was ruffled. His looked to his hooves seeing no fur at the ends of them. He guessed this was supposed to be his hands that weren't covered in hair. He then saw brown eyes that shined in the blue water.
Ralph looked, his fur was of course, blue. He had a spikey mane that was a darker shade of blue then his. He then saw the red in his eyes.
The same red eyes he came to know for years. He saw his ears were pointed, like his wolf form. Ralph thought of himself, it was the new him!
Harry looked into the lake with a confused look. He looked just like George but with white hair, a blue mane and orange eyes. His mane was split in the middle.
Marco had silver fur. A dark blue mane that resembles his shark skin, His eyes were dark sage. Curious, Marco smiled to show razor sharp teeth under his lips. He then saw his ears, they looked as they were clipped.
All the monsters looked at each other. All of them were the same height with one another. Luna then floated down to the pony monsters. They expected for her to be the same height but when she lowered in front, they found themselves looking down at the princess. The monsters were easily a head taller then the princess. Luna looked at them with pride, her mission was complete but another problem turned inside her mind.
'Now what?'
The Three Stooges: Part 1
[The Badlands.]
[Day 16.]
Hot weather was something of nature that some enjoyed and others hatted it and preferred winter. Even others didn't prefer either, just the side weather changes. Like autumn or spring. The current location however, could give death valley a run for its money in this heat. Heat. The one thing the three monsters hated. For the mutations they were granted, it made it even worse. Same thing for walking. Endless miles of red rocks and dust with no food or water in sight. One suggested they could do it like that grills guy. Another one of the monsters swatted him against the head. He held his head in pain from the rough smack. The three monsters had been walking in the location for days, trying to find a way out. Every chance they had it somehow was utterly foiled or one of them screwed it up. These three monsters were known through out the labs as the 'not so smart' monsters. Not having the most popularity of George, Lizzie, and Ralph. Matter of fact, they looked up to them as inspiration for their destruction tactics.
Walking in the hot sand was rough on two of the monsters. The heat on their feet feeling as though they were melting. The leader had hooves that acted like rocks to him. He was lucky. He looked toward his two companies, crossing his arms and letting out steam through his nose. His companions gave pain induced looks to their leader. He rolled his amber eyes, looking for a place to rest. He spotted a cave inside the red rocks, pointing toward it with his meaty finger. His friends looked where he was pointing and ran like hell toward the shady cave. The leader was attacked by a cloud of red dust from the speed of the two. Growling in his throat, he walked toward the cave.
Apon setting a hoof inside the cave, the feeling of the heat was relieved from his skin. He nearly tripped over something on the floor. He looked and face palmed himself, seeing a his companies on top of each other panting. Not entertained by the sight, he kicked one of his companions in the side. Moving him and landing on his tail. He looked up at his friend with wide eyes.
"Say Boris! What's the big idea?" he said with a slight squeak in his voice.
Boris leaned over his friend, his horn nearly hitting him in the snout. A small moan came from next to him, looking over to see their other friend. Its bright red shell glistening from its sweat. He elbowed the shell, the monster twitched and sat up on its rear. Both were grabbed on the back of their necks by Boris and placed at his height.
"The big ides Curtis is you twos aren't that tired. Yous just exaggeratin ya numbskulls."
"Hey were not numbskulls! Were knuckleheads!" the red one spoke up in a feminine tone.
Curtis and Boris looked over to their friend who was giving an innocent smile. Clearly she didn't know difference had to be made, again.
"See this?" the two said in unison, placing their closed hands in front of her.
She looked at the fists with both her eyes. Placing a large claw to her chin. Boris and Curtis looked at each other in annoyance.
"Ruby come on, its not that hard!" Boris said.
Ruby looked at the fists with one last look. She nodded. Boris then flung his fist upwards, hitting Ruby in the mouth. His fist swung in the air and landed in Curtis head. He yelped in pain while Ruby was rubbing her mouth. Curtis gave Boris a snarl. The rhino was unaffected by it.
"Hey that hurt! Why'd ya hit me!?"
"Because its easy, watch." Boris said. Fanning his hand while moving it up and down in front of Curtis face.
Curtis went into a trance like state, following the hand like it was hypnotizing him. Boris then fanned his hand on Curtis nose, smacking it up and down at the displeasure of the rat. He held his nose, stopping it from shacking and giving Boris another snarl. The rhino laughed and walked down further into the cave. Ruby and Curtis close behind him. He laid back on the floor, connecting his hands and placing them to the back of his head as a make shift pillow. Ruby and Curtis gave him confused looks. The rhino lifted an eye lid, seeing his friends giving him wide eyed looks.
"What do we do now Bory?" Ruby asked.
Out of all the things Boris has been called, 'Bory' was the one thing he hated the most. It was Ruby's nickname for him since they first met. Boris didn't know what to do and he was supposed to be the brains of the group. Curtis was the 'helper' for the group, but that was an under statement to what Curtis does. The rat was clumsy, everything he touched, he destroyed. Imagine the thousands of dollars of damages the rats caused for Scum Labs all the time. Needless to say, Curtis had to be put in replacement cell after replacement cell because in one way or another, he would destroy it. That's why Boris liked him, he was a natural at destroying stuff. Ruby on the other hand, she is, muscle. She's the muscle of the group. Her strength can go against him and Shelly! Though that tortious was strong even before she was mutated. Anyhow, Ruby was, and the whole lab knew this, wasn't very smart. She did have human intelligence before but turning into a lobster downgraded her brain to the size of a pebble.
Boris placed his knuckles under his chin and thought about it. He didn't know where to go now. Venturing into nothing but wasteland was becoming irritating and they needed to drink water soon. Boris hated the fact he didn't know. In frustration, he slammed his fist into the wall behind him. Leaving a crack the same size in its place. Figuring they were near somewhere new soon, Boris looked out of the cave. The sun burning the sand, the red rocks showing for miles. He groaned, hitting his head at the edge of the cave. He lifted an eye lid, to see a small gap in the rocks in front of him. A wide smile came across Boris face, a way out. The rhino grabbed Curtis and Ruby and showed them the gap in the distance. The three monsters exchanged happy looks, running off toward the gap. Soon the three made the run into a race, sprinting in front of each other, trying to reach the gap in the mountains.
Seeing Curtis getting ahead, Boris stuck his leg out and tried to trip the rat. Curtis saw this and jump over the rhinos hoof, pricking him in the eyes with two of his fingers. Boris yelped and slowed down a bit to recollect himself. Meanwhile, Ruby sprinted past the laughing rat and took the lead. Curtis growled and sprinted faster toward Ruby. The rat swung his tail at the lobster, hitting her shell. Ruby acted like she didn't even feel it and grabbed Curtis with one of her pincers. She picked him up and was about to throw him but was rammed by a charging rhino in her back. Ruby and Curtis dropped to the ground while Boris took the lead. The rhino let out a maniacal laugh and sprinted toward the now closer gap in the mountains. All Boris could see next were pincers covering his vision. Not knowing wear he was going, Boris slammed into a rock tower and fell on his rear. He looked up to see Ruby giving him a wide smile. Curtis chuckled as he took the lead again but didn't watch where he was going as he collided with another rock tower, knocking it over. Boris and Ruby then passed him laughing. The tow were neck and neck, going as fast as their legs could carrier them. Curtis then came from behind, running next to Ruby in fear of another attempt from Boris to trip him. The three monsters were running at top speed, looking at each as they sprinted toward the-
BLAM!
-wall. The hard, tall, and unforgiving wall. Peeling off the wall, the three monsters fell back with stars in their eyes. Boris looked up and saw the gap. He jumped onto his hooves and observed the gap. Ruby and Curtis soon joining him.
"What do we do now boss?" Curtis asks.
Boris placed his fists to his hips and took in a breathe of air though his nose.
"Now we go on a adventure!" Boris said. As he walked into the gap with his two friends at his sides.
The Three Stooges: Part 2
[Appaloosa.]
[Day 17.]
If their was one thing Spike could describe about the position he was in it would be, bored. He, and his friends had been on the train ride for hours and the feeling has finally broken him. By this time, Spike was sitting upside down in his seat, the blood rushing to his head and the feeling of his legs falling asleep. Maybe it was the blood rushing into his small head or maybe it was his boredom. Spike suddenly could see visions of when he could his body change and morph into the monster that nearly destroyed PonyVille, again. Spike didn't want to tell his friends, he didn't want them to know the burning in his blood some days. The burning was the thing that made him cringe each and every day. It would make it to where his entire body would be almost paralyzed, his veins glowing the same sickish green color. He was still infected with Lizzies DNA.
By his count, Spike would be feeling the same burning sensation in about an hour or so. Its always happened early in the afternoon. Spike made it his mission to keep this secret until the effects blow over, if they ever did. He didn't want to admit it, but the feeling he had when he was the monster was incredible. The adrenaline rushing through him, the power he felt, the lust for destruction. He wanted more, he wanted to express that power and make somepony feel it. He wanted to fight, and win.
A knock to his side brought Spike back to reality, he turned to see Twilight looking at him with a expressionless look. Spike fixed himself and gave her a innocent smile. Twilight gave him a confused look and turned her attention to the outside. Spike did the same, his eyes went wide seeing guards all over Appaloosa. Every street had guards of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna command. Because of the monsters attacks, every single town and city in Equestria has double its security and doubled its weaponry. Huge cannons with boiling hot rocks that melt the skin and tear a hole into the creatures. Spears sharp enough to impale through the leg. For the unicorns, special magic blasts that could obliterate a boulder with a single blast. Their was no doubt about it , no other city or town would become a victim of another attack.
Twilight and the others were approached by a mare in golden armor with a large blue Mohawk at the top of it. She saluted the Princess Twilight and spoke in a firm tone. Her bright orange fur blending in with the armor she was wearing.
"Captain Mango princess! At your service."
Twilight ad eased the guard. The two begun walking with the rest of her friends behind her.
"Glad to see security was bumped up." Twilight said observing the guards.
"By the orders of Celestia herself. Troops have been scattered all across Equestria to prevent more monsters from attacking populated areas. If any of those freaks come in a mile of the this place, they wont live to see tomorrow."
Those words worried Twilight and the dragon riding on her back. It would be wise to keep secret that the fact she and all her friends know five of them and their are more of them out their. However, with the news of what happened to Dodge Junction, one of them was discovered and is now wanted for the deaths of over a dozen ponies. Reading about the towns destruction in the paper was something not easy to accept. The even harder part was how many had died, Fluttershy almost didn't come along because of it.
Spike could feel his blood begin to burn. Now? Its was happening now!? Spike could feel himself start to cringe as his inner body felt as though it was about to explode. His claws became stiff, his eyes and veins were glowing. This one came with vengeance for the little dragon. It felt more intense and inflicted more pain then anything else. He tried not to let out a sound, not noticing the death grip he was giving Twilights back. The pain subsided and Spike could feel his blood turn ice-cold again. It was over. He let out a breathe as he saw Twilight looking at him and trying to say something.
"Spike? Your kinda digging your claws in my back."
Spike looked down to see his claws like needles inside a cushion inside Twilights back. He pulled his claws out, seeing the skin had broken but barely any blood. He had to keep in mind to not be on anyone's back when the effect takes place. Spike didn't notice the large room he and the others were in. The room was heavily decorated with photos and maps with red lines drawn on them. In the far end of the it was a desk with a unicorn stallion with a tan coat and white mane and beard. He was wearing a blue military officer uniform. He had a puzzled look on his face while staring down at his desk. He saw the princess come in and gave a slight smile, walking over and bowing to her.
"Salutations to you princess. I am general War Games."
The general raised his head. Twilight returned the greeting.
"Its nice to meet you general. Now, was their something you needed?"
The general chuckled and pulled the photo he was staring at from his desk with a white aurora and showed it to Twilight. She gave a puzzled look at the black and white photo. It showed a strange looking creature with a large insect to it. The large insect Twilight recognized it as the monster who destroyed Dodge Junction.
"This photo was taken by a scout team west of here."
Looking away from the photo she gave the general a wide eyed look.
"How old is it?"
The room went silent for a moment. Tension building in the Twilight and her friends behind her. Spike could feel himself gripping her back again. The general spoke in a firm tone that sent chills down all their spines.
"I received this photo yesterday."
[A one day away from Appaloosa.]
The walk had been hell for the three monsters. The heat of the sun hadn't helped either. The feeling of dehydration was starting to get to the group. Boris wiped sweat from his brow. He then saw a large line of green in the distance. Smiling, he turned to his friends who were practically holding each other up.
"Our luck has changed fellas!" he said.
Curtis and Ruby looked at him with confused looks.
"What ya mean boss?" Curtis asked.
Boris wrapped his friends under each of his arms and whispered into their ears.
"I'm saying we've found refuge!" he says pointing his fingers toward the forest ahead.
All three friends looked at each with glee. Running toward the shady forest at the dismay of their dehydrated bodies. Apon entering the forest the three found a stream reaching for miles. They practically went scuba diving inside the stream while they were drinking it. Feeling refreshed the three slouched on trees near it. Curtis spoke with satisfaction in his voice.
"Finally. I thought wed die for sure out theirs."
"Ill say." Ruby said.
"Definitely." Boris added.
Curtis then heard something. One of his ears perked up, hearing small voices in the forest. Looking around with caution, Curtis grabbed onto the tree he was slouching on and tried to climb on it. His claws digging into the tree, Curtis climbed until he was over the tops. The rat spotted in a clearing armored ponies with large catapults. Squirming, Curtis dropped down to the floor and shook Boris and Ruby.
"Guys! Guys wake up!"
Boris swatted away Curtis hand and gave him an annoyed look.
"What's the big idea?"
"We've got soldiers with big things that go boom heading toward us!"
Boris could feel his eye twitch from what Curtis said. So this place did have military? Boris didn't feel like picking a fight today, he looked around the forest to try and see a place to hide. He spotted a large pile of leaves that had fallen of trees. An idea struck his mind.
"Their! Hide in that leaf pile!"
The three monsters sprinted toward the pile, trying not to make a sound while moving toward it. Apon stepping on the leaves, the entire pile collapsed under them into a giant pit. The trio was mixed together in a mix pile. The small talking was closer this time and heading toward the trap. Boris looked up to see two ponies giving him dirty looks.
"Tell the captain we found some."
Boris felt a pinch as his side, he turned to see Ruby.
"Do you think we lost them?"
[Canterlot.]
[Day 18.]
It felt different, that was the only thing Ralph could think of while he walked the streets of the bright and colorful streets of Canterlot. He wasn't used to walking around with others that were the size of his finger just a few days ago. He was used to them giving him weird looks however. His dark blue coat was more of an eye sore from a mile away. Luckily he wasn't so identifiable as a monster unless you knew him, he just looked like a regular earth pony with pointy ears. Nope, nothing unnatural here. Ralph felt something that made him freeze. A low rumble from his belly erupted, multiple ponies giving him weird looks.
'Goddamn it...I got to remember to eat a lot more in the morning.'
Escaping his inner thoughts, Ralph nearly stopped himself from running into a another closed door. Pushing the door open with his hoof, Ralph could see the inside of the castle. Its bright colors of white, purple, and gold were shining from the sun that was glistening through the windows. Beautiful was what came to mind for the wolf pony. He never thought he would see a sight like this again. Ralph forgot the last time he smiled the way he was as well. It wasn't a smile that was full hunger for blood, death, or destruction, it was a real happy smile. He had the feeling of something, different inside him. It was like something had been awakened inside him that was sealed away for years. His humanity, his soul, his life, he could feel like it was back with him. It was back home, with the Scum Labs wolf.
Ralph was lost inside his mind again, slamming into another door in the castle. The wolf pony held his nose as he opened the door.
'Note to self...don't get lost in self.'
Ralph looked forward to see another hallway but what caught his eye was the amount of guard ponies giving him weird looks. Ralph understood why they were looking at him, he looked like something out of a movie. Pointed ears, dagger like teeth, bright yellow eyes, all it was were red flags. Ralph walked down the hallway, trying not to make eye contact with the guards. If they found out what he truly was, he would have spears shoved in his face.
Then, a sweet aroma filled Ralphs nose. His head perked up and a smile came across his face. Ralph could feel himself floating in the air as he followed the scent. The wolf pony soon came across a closed door, the scent stronger then ever here. With his mouth watering so much, he might flood the entire castle. Ralph began thinking to himself as he stood outside the door.
'Maybe its chocolate pudding! No wait, maybe cake! Or it could be ice cream!'
Ralph threw open the door, expecting to see a kitchen. Instead however, he was met with a room full of mares who were puffing perfume on them and others were talking and removing pieces of their armor. Ralphs eye went wide and the mares soon noticed him. The room went silent for a moment. Ralph could feel his face start to burn. He shut the door slowly, hearing the whispers of the mares at the other end of it. The wolf pony then saw something next to the door that made his face burn even more, a bronze sign with the words 'Ladies Changing Room.'
Once again, Ralphs stomach got the best of him. He questioned why he had an eating habit, he wasn't like this when he was human, it wasn't until he mutated he became an eating machine. Just like a wol-
"Wait...WHAT THE HELL!?"
Mega Shark vs Killer Plant: Part 1
[Canterlot]
As the day pressed on, the sun in the middle of the sky signaling it to be the afternoon. No shadows were shining through windows as the sun beamed down on the castle. Inside was somewhat hot, not enough to make you sweat but just enough to make the guards bake inside their armor. For a guard named Albatross, it was no different. Albatross was a guard mare who never like summer. It was always winter with her. She preferred cold over hot any day of the week. She made her way down the oven of a hallway, breathing through her nose and keeping her baring as she walked. The experience wasn't fun for her, matter of fact, it felt like her armor was melting off her body. Albatross adjusted her silver mane, trying to wipe away sweat drops from her forehead. Albatross made her way to a door at the end of the hall, seeing a unicorn stallion walk out of it with a paper engulfed in his magic. Albatross and the stallion saluted each other and broke off. She then saw a plaque at one side of the door. 'Captain Red Sea.'
Albatross knocked on the door with her hoof, waiting for a response. A female voice came from behind the door sounding of stress and discomfort.
"Yes, yes, please come in!"
The earth pony opened the door to see a Pegasus mare with a gold cot and red mane with bags under eyes and a feather pen in her mouth. A stack of papers next to her. Albatross rubbed the back of her neck, sitting on a wooden chair in front of her desk. The captain continued writing on papers while Albatross sat their looking at her. She coughed in her hoof, trying to get her elders attention. The captain raised a hoof in response. Albatross waited for the captain, hearing the scratching of the feather pen on the paper. The captain let out a breathe through her nose and rested the pen on the desk. She then looked up at Albatross with a small grin.
"How's it going tross?" she asks.
Albatross fixed herself in her chair and looked at her commanding officer with an expressionless stare.
"Ma'am, I came to here to check up on my leave, see how long I have until I come back to work."
Captain Red Sea looked at her with the same grin and let out a chuckle. Grabbing a small checklist from under her desk. She dropped it on the desk from her mouth and looked it over. She placed a hoof on the list and let out a quiet 'Aha!' as she did so.
"You have two weeks leave, that sound right?"
Albatross could feel the butterflies in her stomach fly out of her as she heard the time she would be off. She let out a sign. Another chuckle escaping the officer.
"Oh thank Celestia, I needed this."
Albatross walked down the hall with a wide smile on her muzzle. The thought of being free for two weeks was music to her ears. Albatross was about to round a corner when something big collided with her from around the corner, knocking her on her rear. She rubbed her head and looked in anger toward the moron that didn't watch wear he was going.
"Hey watch were your-"
She stopped as she saw dark sage eyes connect with hers. He had a slight pained look on his face, rows of dagger like teeth showing in anger. His silver coat and dark blue hair showing him off to the mare. The stallion looked down to the mare with narrowed eyes. Albatross could only stare in shock. He was easily a head taller then her and quite buff. His low and intimidating voice sending a shiver down her spine.
"You were saying?"
Her words died in her throat. The dagger teeth making sweat dripping down her cheek. A deep laugh then filled her ear drums, looking to see a hoof that was twice as big in front of her.
"I'm just kiddin doll. Need help?"
Albatross was unfamiliar with his accent or his speech. Not wanting to make the goliath angry, she accepted his jester. He pulled her up with tremendous strength. Albatross collected herself as she looked up at the massive pony standing before her. She took a few steps back so her neck wouldn't be bent a an angle.
Marco observed the mare with curiosity in his eyes. He never met another pony he size beside his friends. He watched as the mare fixed herself off the ground and back away from him. Marco expected the mare to run away screaming by now, but she didn't. Instead she just looked at him with wide eyes. Marco felt awkward, silence had passed before he turned and started to walk away. The mare called from behind him, he turned his head over his shoulder his sage eyes looking at her.
"What's your name?" she said.
"Marco."
[Everfree Forest.]
Under the brush of the trees, something lurks. A low rumble roar sends animals scurrying away as a large creature moves in the forest. Moving like a walking squid, it walks through the brush, picking up any animal it sees and throws it in its mouth, crushing its bones and meat. Swallowing it with a satisfied grin. The monster stops its vine appendages and looks to see a bright building in the distance. A smile came across its face as it muttered under its breathe. Its intimidating feminine tone scaring away more animals.
"Ill find you over grown fish platter, and im going to enjoy ripping you apart!"
Mega Shark vs Killer Plant: Part 2
[Canterlot.]
[Day 20.]
A low rumble a stomach ringed inside Marcos torn ears. Nagging at him that he hadn't eaten all day. How could he? All their was to eat were vegetables or hay. Being a full on carnivore, Marco didn't like anything besides meat. By the order of the princesses however, he wasn't allowed to go out and eat animals to prevent ponies from seeing his true side. Like hell he cared about them seeing him as a monster, all he wanted was something to eat before he sees all of Canterlot as he buffet. From what his stomach was telling him, he was close to that. Marco then thought, 'What do pony taste like?' Shacking his head, Marco narrowed his eyes as saw birds flying outside. His stomach growling, much to the sharks annoyance.
Marco then heard over a dozen birds fly by the windows of the castle. Raising an eye brow, Marco followed the birds to a large garden. His eyes went wide as he saw over a dozen birds on a tree. A sinister smile came across his face. He finally found something that no one would notice go missing. His mouth begun to water as he walked toward the tree, his dagger teeth showing. Dinner is served. Marco grabbed a bird with his mouth before it noticed he was there, the bird squirmed in his mouth, pecking at him to break loose. Marco simply smiled as he thrashed around the bird in his mouth. His teeth acting like a saw on wood as they started to shred the bird. Blood started to leak from the bird as Marco thrashed harder. Soon, the birds tweets ceased and it went limb in his mouth. Letting out a mouth filled chuckle, Marco opened his jaws and pulled back his head. The bird slide inside his mouth, he then started to chew on the bird. Spitting out pieces of it he didn't want. Bones, organs, feathers, all of it he didn't like. It was the meat he mostly enjoyed. Swallowing the carcass, Marco wiped his bloodied mouth and covered his mouth to prevent a burp. Feeling his stomach was satisfied, Marco turned to leave the garden when a pair of narrowed sapphire eyes stared into his.
He pulled back, seeing a the princess of the night he has come to know her as, giving him a look he was used to. She must have seen him eat the bird, like he cared what she thought. He was hungry, and no other meats were around. He couldn't just go and eat a pony, he wanted too, but he wouldn't. Luna spoke up with a firm tone. Marco knew he was about to be scolded.
"A suppose the little one was tasty?"
Marco chuckled. Luna's expression not changing.
"Oh come on, I had to eat something that was meaty. I am a carnivore ya know."
Marco didn't see it coming when the princess locked eyes with him and was nose to nose with him. Marcos own angry look set in. Luna spoke with a more angered tone, it would have made any other pony shrink beneath her. Marco however, had encountered worse.
"May I remind you Celestia and I gave you an order to not eat the wildlife!"
'Oh man I'm so scared! Fuckin bitch.' Marco thought with a chuckle.
Marco returned fire with his own comment. His tone just as sharp as Luna's.
"And may I remind you sister. IM. A. MEAT. EATER! You know what that means?"
Luna's tone softened slightly. She didn't expect this type of retaliation from him, she really had to expect from the first place though. Luna answered Marco with her firm tone ,trying to not sound intimidated.
"I do know what that means." she said.
Marco pulled back from the princess and showed his teeth to her in a growl. Luna would be lying if she didn't say she would be a little on edge at this point. Teeth like that could kill her if Marco wanted too. The shark then coughed, a white feather flying out of his mouth. Marcos expression changed to no expression.
"Listen doll...I know it was a bird. I know you and your sis didn't want me to eat the live stock but did you ever consider I am a type of animal that eats meat for a living?"
Luna's eyes went wide.
"I'm what's called on earth, a great white shark. A type of sea animal that eats nothing but meat and other objects. So pardon me doll if I eat a few birds! At least I'm not eating your fucking population!"
Marco was soon shouting instead of regular talking by this point. His temper flaring. Luna was looking at him wide eyes, the sudden burst of anger was surprising to her. She would have to keep in mind of the animal he was, if he only eats meat he would have to be an exception for her and Celestia's rule while he was their. Probably the same with the others. However from what she gathered from the ones named George and Ralph, Marcos hunger would overcome his senses making him nothing but a predator that would eat everything in sight. Luna would keep an eye on the shark. A sudden thought came to her mind on the subject.
"Sir Marco." she says with a more kinder tone this time.
Marco turns to her with a eye brow raised.
"What's up?"
"Are their any other friends of your that are 'carnivores' like you are?"
Marco noticed the emphasis on the word carnivore as she spoke. The princess was obviously mentioning his type of carnivore. Thinking back, Marco couldn't say he called any other of the monsters at the labs his friends beside Natalie. When it came to his hunger, only a few monsters fit the description.
"Well, their are only four I know of. First one is a demon named Nick. Though he barely eats anything because of his mutation."
Luna's eyes went wide as dinner plates. A demon? That would be something to keep in mind as well.
"Second, a lion named Leon. Third, a crocodile named...Croc."
Marco saw the look Luna was giving him.
"Yeah, creative I know. Lastly theirs a plant monster named Venus."
Luna noticed the hesitation in Marcos tone when he mentioned the monster. Curious, she pursued it.
"Who is this Venus character?"
Marco let out a growl and turned away from Luna toward the Everfree Forest. The memories of the psychotic plant flooding his mind.
"Venus was...a psycho path. A monster that loved to make you miserable and kill others with a smile on her face. She's know for almost killing one of the monsters back at the lab."
Luna was shocked. A monster attacking another from the same home? From the sound of it, Venus was a dangerous player.
"Do you think she is here?" Luna asks.
"Doubt it, I bet she was warped to some weird planet were she can live her last days alone. Thank god no one will ever see that monster again."
Marco turned back to Luna who was gathering all the information he had told her. With the puzzled look on her face, Marco made his way past her and into the castle.
Marco was a good few yards down the hallway when he saw a solider run past him toward Luna. His eyes went wide as to what the guard told Luna. He spoke frantically to her.
"Princess Luna! Trouble in the square! Huge vines coming out of the ground!"
Marco was moving fast as he sprinted toward the castle square. He could see countless civilians running past him and guards fighting off vines with flytraps at the end of them. Marco then saw a vine cornering a mare with her child in her arms. Snarling, Marco jumped and bit down on the vine, thrashing it around until he ripped in half. Marco spit the plant out, much to his distaste. It tasted bitter and had a little bit of nasty aftertaste. Marco continued to run toward the square, dodging the flytraps as best he could.
He soon came apon the square, seeing more vines then ever. A few guards stayed behind to fight while others helped with civilians. The ground begun to shake. A large vegetation pod erupted from the ground, debris flying everywhere. More vines followed behind it. The shark narrowed his eyes, he knew whose plants these were. Marco made his way to the pod, multiple guards giving him shocked looks. He looked up to the pod, taking in a whiff of it. His theory was correct, it was her.
"Venus!"
The vines stopped. All turning to look at the shark. They all let out a hiss as they surrounded him. Marco roared at the vines, all of them backing of from him.
"I know you're in there! Leave these ponies alone! Its me you want!"
The pod cracked in the middle, splitting in the middle for green gas to leak from it. A low rumble of a roar came from the pod as tentacle like vines sprout from it. Soon, three vines were on each side of the split. Pulling it apart, a large head came from inside. Crimson eyes glowing as the larger flytrap gave a sinister smile. Marco gritted his teeth, this wouldn't be pretty. Venus stood at her full height at Marco. Her grin not ceasing. Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard, not pleasant to hear.
"Why hello Marco! Good to see you again ol' chum!"
"You and I both know were not friends."
A vine wrapped itself around Marcos neck, pulling him to Venus height. Her breathe made him gag as she pulled him in.
"Really? That's a shame."
Venus then threw Marco into a building. He crashed through the front entrance leaving a large hole in it. Venus laughed as she swatted the building with one of her vines, the building crumpled to the ground. Crushing Marco underneath it. She laughed but was stopped when a strange blast hit her in the head. Venus pulled herself off the ground and snarled apon seeing Luna with her horn glowing and angered look on her face. Venus snarled.
"You runt! Ill make sure to tear you apart first!"
Luna let out another blast from her horn. Venus just barely avoided it and sent a barrage of vines toward Luna. One by one, she blasted them. Disintegrating in place from it. Luna flew up in the air, avoiding the rest of the vines Venus had sent after her. Flapping her wings, she avoided the homing missile like vines as they chased her in the air. Luna turned and stirred up her horn until she fired another blast from her horn, killing more of the vines. She didn't see one coming as it chopped down on her leg. She yelped in pain and kicked the vine with her other leg. It released and she avoided more. Venus watched from the ground as her vines were crowding the princess. making to where she doesn't have a place to run. Luna found herself in a large organic ball, vines sealing her inside it. The ball started to shrink and Luna grew frantic. Blasting parts of the ball just for more vines to take its place. The ball was now twice a small and she was running out of breathing room. Venus watched from below and laughed as the ball was shrinking.
A bright light came from behind Venus. Narrowing her eyes, she turned to see a green glow inside the ruble where she threw Marco. Then, she remembered what that glow meant. Marco burst from the ruble in his true form. His fin hands shaped to fists and anger in his eyes. His wide mouth with a angry look on it. Marco snarled, leaping off his foot and grabbing one of Venus vine legs. He then twirled her in the air like a rope. The vine ball imprisoning Luna had separated into pieces and Luna gazed down to see Marco twirling the plant monster in the air. She never saw Marco in his true form.
Marco released Venus, sending her flying into another building. Marco then let out a mighty roar. He waited for Venus to get up, knowing she would. The plant emerged from ruble and sent to of her vines shooting toward Marco. The shark grabbed one of the vines but didn't stop the other one as it impaled his arm. He let out a pain filled roar. He grabbed the vine with his impaled arm and pulled it out, blood squirting from the wound. Marco whipped the vines, sending a moving wave toward Venus. It hit her dead on, sending her flying and snapping the vines. She landed on her head and quickly sprang up. She roared and charged toward the shark. Marco charged as well. Both monsters were now running at each other, the ground shaking under their feet. Marco slammed into Venus, grabbing her head with both his fins. Venus speared Marco with one of her vines in the muzzle. Blooding his nose. Marco brought his arm back and plunged it into Venus nose. Her head knocked back and she returned it with a head butt. Marco reeled back and Venus charged him again, this time slamming into his back. He fell to the ground on his stomach, turning on his back to see Venus leaping in the air. He rolled out of the way just in time as Venus landed hard on her vine legs. She turned to look at Marco throwing a building piece at her. It impacted her and crushed her under it. Venus crawled out of the ruble with pain shooting through her body. She saw a fin in front of her, looking up to see a bloody Marco looking down at her.
Venus started to laugh. Marco grabbed both sides of her head and started to pull. The sound of flesh tearing and the laughing of Venus under her gurgling made Marco pull harder. Venus head came off with a snap, green blood squirting from the severed head and body. Marco dropped the head and roared into the air. Luna watched at a safe height as Marco fell on his back. The same green light glowed again, and Marco returned to his pony state. Luna flew down in a rush and grabbed the past out shark, flying into the castle.
[Canterlot Dungeon.]
[Day 22.]
"Hey...knuckleheads. Wake up." said Boris in a whisper.
The three monsters woke up in a dark and cold chamber. Only lit by a few torches on the walls. Boris looked around the wide chamber him and his friends were in, it was huge. Able to fit all three of them with barely any moving space however. The three monsters were stacked on top of each other, with Boris being at the bottom, Curtis on top of him snoring, and Ruby at the very top spread eagle. Regularly this is how they slept but Ruby and Boris positions would be switched. The rhino struggled out of the bottom and snorted. He shacked his head and looked around the chamber. He then noticed a large arch shape at the end of the chamber with a weird glow coming from the bars. Boris scratched his head and begun walking toward the bars. He reached his arm out and lifted a finger, an intense shock wave went through the rhinos body. Frying him like a steak. He reeled back from the bars, Boris shook his shocked finger and started to suck on it. His whole body was tingling and slightly pained. What ever this thing was made of, it was making sure to not let these monsters escape.
The rhino then heard a series of clops from hooves to the right of the chamber arch. Not wanting to be fried again, Boris squatted on his legs and perked one of his ears up. He heard voices, small ones. One sounded female, the other male. He could barely make out what the female was saying as they approached.
"We found 'em in the Everfree Forest major. We brought them in for questioning for ya."
The male spoke with a deep monotone voice. He sounded old, probably was.
"Thank you corporal. Now, lets see these monsters up close."
Boris thought of something hilarious he's never done before. The rhino positioned himself in a all fours position, lowering the full moon toward the bottom of the arch. He snickered as he heard the clops of the hooves come closer.
"Alright you mon-"
The major stopped when he saw the sight before him. Boris let out a harder snicker as he released a powerful fart from his moons. The smell was more harsh then a decomposing corpse. The female had to run and vomit away from the cage, the major held his nose as he had tears in his eyes. Boris looked from the arch of his legs gave the little pony his middle finger with a chuckle. He enjoyed being rude when he wanted to be.
"Say little pony." Boris spoke with a wide grin.
The older stallion looked to him.
"How'd ya like my little leaf blower?"
Boris then lost himself to his laughter as he rolled across the floor, holding his sides. The major gave the rhino a angered look.
"Listen you monster. I came here to ask you few questions."
The rhino fixed himself and looked at the stallion. This would be fun.
"What ya wanna know?" he said.
"First, how many more of you are here?"
Boris raised an eye brow to the stallion. Giving him a look as if he asked something stupid. To Boris, he did ask stupid question.
"Your lookin at 'em." he said. Motioning his hand towards his still sleeping companions.
The stallion looked at his friends with an unconvinced look. Turning back Boris, he narrowed his eyes.
"This isn't a joke monster. Where are the rest of your friends? We know their are more of them."
Now Boris was interested. He didn't know anymore of his friends had arrived here. The only ones he knew who is here as well were that white ape Harry, and some weird one eyed monster. None the less, Boris didn't want to rat out his friends, he wasn't like that. Boris thought up a lie and he thought it up quick.
"Nope. No one else here."
The stallion raised an eye at the rhino. He whistled, a mare coming from out of nowhere and handing the stallion a newspaper. He looked it over and chuckled to himself. Throwing the paper in front of Boris. The rhino looked down and tried to see the tiny paper. Squinting his eyes, Boris caught sight of something that made him slightly choke. It was a picture of Marco and Venus fight.
"Really? I see more."
The rhino rubbed the back of his head. He knew their wasn't any way to get out of this. The stallion caught the attention of Boris.
"Now Ill ask you again. And this time, don't lie to me. Are their more of you here?"
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 23.]
The sun made the air warm in the forest. Birds chirped in the trees. A brown stallion walked between trees as he carried a dead eagle on his back. One of its wings at a disgusting angle. Blood spilling from the top of its head, coating its white feathers in red. The stallion walked until he came apon a clearing in the trees he had made. The piles of dirt from were he ripped the trees out of the ground and piled them next to his and his friends camp. George threw the bird on the ground in front of him, grabbing a dagger his made from a tooth that he found in the forest days earlier. He then begun to skin the bird of its feathers and decapitating it. Once the bird of free of feathers and a head, George then begun to drive his hoof into the bird and slowly pull out of the organs from the rear. Remembering back before his mutation, George would help his father make the Thanksgiving turkey. The memories came back like a boomerang.
[13 years before mutation...]
Georges dad spoke with a deep mighty voice and a cheery tone. Him and his son came back from a successful hunt for the bird they would eat for Thanksgiving. It was also the day George killed his bird.
"Now listen up George, I'm gunna show ya how to skin this bird and make it proper okay?"
The thirteen year old George observed as his dad approached him with a white apron on and a huge kitchen knife and the turkey in his hands. George could see his dads large smile under his bushy beard. His red flannel shining in the sunset.
"First what you need to do George is get these pesky feathers of the bird."
Georges dad then grabbing handfuls of feathers and begun pulling them off with tiny blood drops at the end of them. Minutes later, the bird was nothing but a pink blob. Georges dad then grabbed the bird by the neck and laid it on a cutting board next to him.
"Next, you chop the head off."
He swung the knife in his hand and took the head off with a clean cut. He then had the turkeys butt face him, he then put on a rubber glove. George could feel his own butt clench at the sight. He knew where this was going.
"Finally, you cant eat the organs now can you?"
Georges dad then plunged his fist inside the turkey. Pulling out separate organs from inside the bird. George had to cover his mouth to refrain from vomiting from the sound and the smell. Georges dad then coats the turkey a weird oil before lowering it into the oven.
George felt a tap on his shoulder, he looks back to see his friends Lizzie and Ralph with peculiar brown sacks on their backs. George could smell fish and fruit from the bags.
"Food?" he says while giving a wide smile.
Lizzie speaks with a happy tone in her voice.
"You bet! Wasn't easy getting it though."
"I would think so."
George looks around and raises an eye brow. Their was two missing from their group. Lizzie and Ralph exchanged glances.
"Where are Marco and Harry?"
"Harrys at Canterlot getting some 'peace and quiet' he said. Marco followed him because he wanted too see what it was like." Lizzie said. Raising a hoof and pointing towards the castle on the mountain.
George had a sinking feeling come over him. When ever a feeling like that came over him, he knew something was up. Lizzie noticed this and placed a hoof on Georges shoulder. He ignored her.
"They'll be alright George. Harrys pretty smart and Marco wouldn't do anything stupid. At least, I wouldn't think he would do something stupid."
Ralph couldn't help but add to the conversation.
"Like how? Eat someone?"
George then caught the both off guard, his tone firm as he spoke, not facing the two.
"Marco is a killing machine but he isn't an animal. I've got this sinking feeling that something just isn't right."
[Canterlot.]
Inside a huge office room, sat a purple alicorns. Next to her was a snow white stallion with a blue mane and hooves. Both were looking over archives of spells. Spells used by ancient casters. Thought to bend time and space itself.
"This is hopeless!"
If they could find any. Harry sat in a wooden chair and placed his elbows on it. He scrunched up his face and gave a frustrated sign. Twilight scratched her head as she looked over multiple books that were engulfed in her magic. Harry was right, it was starting to get redundant at this point. They had been searching for hours but found nothing on the subject.
"I think your right Harry."
Harry blew a raspberry and looked up at the ceiling. He then saw at the corner of his eye a small book shelf with black cover books. Raising an eye brow, Harry got out of his chair and made his way to the shelf. Seeing Twilight still looking over other spell books, Harry pulled one out of the shelf and looked at the cover text. The letters were gold plastered but no author was written.
'The context of dimensions.'
Letting out a wide grin, Harry opened the book seeing the blueprints of portals to other dimensions, Harry squeals and runs over to Twilight. He nearly shoves the book in her face as he shows her it. Twilight gives a wide smile of her own. The two then run out of the office and toward Princess Celestia's thrown room. Harry however, should've looked at the rest of the books.
'Consequences of time-traveling.'
'The Paradox Theory.'
'Monsters from other worlds.'
Science Doesnt Always Win
[Canterlot.]
[Day 26.]
Three days. Three days of unmerciful hell, building, calculating, reconstructing, dismantling, all the fun stuff. In a room that was the size of an auditorium, bottles of water and other drinks covered the ground. Along with various wrappers for food. Some of the bottles containing piss from the two ponies that were inside the room. Desks were scattered along the outer rim of the room, leaving a large open area in the middle of the room. In the middle was a large archway shaped machine. Blue papers scattered around it. Tools lying on the floor. Under the papers was a white earth pony, sleeping. On a desk next to him was a Twilight Sparkle, her head rested on the desk and her mane messed up. She groaned as the sound of loud snoring was assaulting her ear drums. She perked her head up with bags under her eyes, looking over the desk to see Harry under the papers. Some flying because of his snoring. Rubbing her head, Twilight looked up at the machine that took them days to make. In its full glory, the machine looked marvelous. The thought of traveling between dimensions made her feel excited. Twilight made her way toward the machine, opening up a panel and seeing all sorts of wiring. Twilight didn't want to remember the hell her and Harry had to go through to find the wires in the first place. Not to mention buying the things in the first place. Those were the worst bits Twilight has ever spent.
Twilight used her magic to levitate a clipboard over to her. She spoke quietly as she read what was on the list.
"Electricity wiring? Check."
She crossed the item off.
"Modem Software? Check."
Crossed off.
"Finally, high powered conductor? Check."
Another cross off. Twilight dropped the board from her magic, ignoring it as it hit the floor. The sound of the board hitting the floor startled Harry from his sleep. He rose from the floor with wide eyes with bags under them. He looked toward the machine and let out a breathe through his mouth. Harry walked over to the machine as well and looked it over.
"Remind me...why did we build this?" he said looking at Twilight.
Twilight returned the look with a smile.
"To get you and any other monster that's here home."
"Oh yeah." Harry said with cheer.
The white stallion looked up at the machine with a concerned look. Now they had built the thing, Harry didn't know how to use it. All he has been doing was putting the damn thing together. All Twilight did was calculate the numbers and told Harry were what parts go. It should work though, no bolt should be out of place, no faulty wiring, no stupid gas leaks. He wasn't someone working at Scum Labs, he was smarter then them. He wouldn't make a mistake, but why did it feel like he was? Harry was snapped out of his state of mind from hearing Twilight calling his name.
"Harry! Are you in there?"
The white pony looked over to the alicorns with wide eyes. Twilight was giving him a confused look.
"I'm here my dear don't worry." he said giving a wide teeth showing smile.
The yellow stain on Harrys teeth nearly made Twilight gag. She looked at a blueprint she had in her magic, narrowing her eyes and trying to read it. The machine needed to be turned on from a switch on the side of the arch. She showed the print to Harry, he nodded with a smile and made his way toward the switch. Before he could flip the switch, Harry felt something come over him. A feeling of caution and utter fear. Something didn't feel right from this. Harry thought to himself.
'What is going to happen of I flip this switch? Is...is it going to be good? Are we going home now? Damn it Harry! Think straight!'
Harry released the switch and faced the confused alicorns in front of him. He let out a sign.
"I cant do it Miss Sparkle." he said with a low tone.
Twilights pupils grew to the size of dinner plates. Out of all the things that have happened through this project, that was the most hair pulling. Twilight had to gather herself before she spoke, she was on the verge of exploding.
"And why not?"
Harry looked back at the machine, glinting at the machine.
"I don't think we should do it...unless we have everyone here."
Twilight felt the wheels in her head stop in their tracks. She wasn't frustrated now, now it was just surprise. She thought about it for a minute before she put two and two together.
"Just in case its a way home right?"
Harry perked up with a wide grin and a more cheery tone.
"Correct my dear! We'll need to gather my friends, as with yours for this spectacle!"
The sound of that made Twilight give a wide grin of her own. The two ponies started to plan for the event, unannounced to them something was watching. A cloaked figure with a head piece. The figure pressed a button on the head piece, a quiet beep escaping it. The figure made his way for the slightly opened chamber door, sliding through the crack of the doors and making his way in the hallway. No pony noticed the doors creak. Once he figured he was free of sight, he pressed on his head gear. Another sound coming through, more like a radio sound this time.
"HQ this Shadow Crawler...we have a problem."
[M.B.O.E. Headquarters.]
[Day 27.]
Under the streets of Manehattan, in a long dark tunnel, a grey shirted pony rushes toward a steel door. Sprint walking while trying to hold onto papers on his arm. Next to the steel door was a green hoof print scanner. The stallion places his hoof on the scanner, a hum escapes the scanner as a line runs down the stallions hoof. A accepting ding was heard, the steel door slid to the side. The stallion pressed on into a dark room, illuminated by walls covered in large screens and machines with flashing colored buttons on them over two separate floors. Ponies were sitting at chairs, looking over the machines. On the bottom floor, their was a circular machine which showed a map all of Equestria. Red dots appearing on random on it. A Pegasus mare, with a magenta coat and yellow mane stood near the map, narrowing her eyes at the red dots that appeared. She heard a cough come from behind her. She didn't move but spoke in a firm tone. Her purple eyes focusing on map.
"What's the situation Shadow?"
A hooded stallion came from behind and stood next to her. Gazing at the map. Letting his hood down, a grey coated and red mane pony revealed himself. Shadow Crawler reached into his cloak and pulled out a piece of paper. He handed it to the mare, she looked over the paper with an angry look.
"Five of them. They go by the names George, Lizzie, Ralph, Harry, and Marco. Some are living in Canterlot, others are in the Everfree Forest."
The mare raised an eye brow. She didn't expect these monsters to have names.
"Theirs something else." Shadow Crawler spoke up.
The mare turned toward Shadow Crawler with a confused look.
"They've transformed themselves into ponies and are planning on building some sort of machine to their world."
The mare was shocked by the statement. Was this their plan for a full on invasion? The thought of it made her disgusted. Anger bellowed in her as a siren came through the room. The ringing caught ponies standing up of guard, they scrambled and stationed themselves at different machines. Pressing random buttons as the siren rung in their ears. Multiple ponies called out from different areas of the room.
"We've got a monster!" one called.
The mare raised her voice. Catching the attention of the ponies on station. A red dot showing up in a far mountain range on the map.
"Location?"
A pony called out from behind her.
"Frozen North. Heading towards..." she stuttered.
The mare looked at the pony behind her with a angered look. The pony kept staring at the screen, shacking in his seat.
"Towards were dammit!?"
"The Crystal Empire." he said looking at her in the eyes with fear.
The mares eyes went wide. She turned her attention toward the map, the red dart moving slowly toward the pointed structure. Gritting her teeth, the mare spun around toward Shadow Crawler. He have a worried look as she spoke through her teeth.
"Send a detachment to the empire now! We cannot let another one of those freaks destroy anything else!"
In unison, the room saluted the mare.
"MBG!"
Shadow Crawler lifted his hood and put it over his head. Ponies ran out of the room in a rush, nearly clogging the door. Shadow was caught by a hoof on his shoulder. He turned to see the mare giving him a look of malice. The stallion could feel his spine shiver as she whispered something that made his eyes go wide.
"Bring it back alive."
Shadow pulled away from the mare. The thought of keeping the monster alive was insane to him. Amongst the rush and shouting of ponies, they couldn't hear the conversation the two were having.
"What!? Why!?"
"The boys in the lab want to look at him."
[Crystal Empire.]
Standing on a balcony looking over the empire, a pink coated alicorn had a worried look on her face. She could feel something. Something, dangerous was lurking near the castle. Princess Cadence thought to herself.
'What kind of...monster is out there? All I can feel is hatred and the lust for destruction.'
A low hum caught Cadence attention, she turned to see a whole battalion of Pegasus ponies flying toward the castle. She raised an eye brow as the fliers swarmed the castle, landing in different parts. Some carrying supply crates dropped them and other unloaded the contents inside. Another flier landed behind the princess. He was wearing green combat armor with black goggles covering his face. Cadence turned to the Pegasus who a angered and confused look.
"What is the meaning of this?" she asked.
The Pegasus reached to his side and pulled out a badge.
"By the order of the Monster Busters of Equestria we have a right to set up a stationary camp to defend the area."
Cadence was astonished at what she was hearing. A monster that brings an entire militia with it must be a big deal. Still curious, Cadence wanted to know what they were dealing with.
"Do you know what it is?"
The Pegasus shook his head.
"Not yet, but from what our info is telling us, its a least three stories tall."
Not much information for the princesses taste. If this militia was called to defend she wouldn't intervene in their job. Just then, another Pegasus pony landed in-between the two with no helmet with a look of fear on her face.
"Captain! The monsters killed alpha squad and is approaching fast!"
The captain pulled off his goggles and narrowed his eyes. His voice became angry and his eyes grew wide.
"How close!?"
Then, a growl erupted from below the balcony. The ponies looking over to see golden eyed monster staring at them with a dismembered pony in its mouth. It gripped the ponies body and ripped it in half. Swallowing it in one gulp. It then roared with fury at them, a roar that shook the balcony.

The Eye Sore Alien and The Loud Mouthed Goat
[Meanwhile...During Joes assault on the Crystal Empire.]
[Outside Canterlot.]
It was the perfect time to strike. At least to Eyegore it was. The entire castle was stirred up and ponies were moving every where. While all the commotion was going on, he and his ally Phillip would strike. Joe was doing an excellent job so far on his mission and was putting up quite a show as well. Eyegore has never had a more excellent time watching destruction in a while. The last time this happened, he was watching that weird jellyfish monster Jill tear up a street in the city the humans called Boston. It was true, Eyegore wasn't a mutation from Earth. Instead he was an actual alien along with his cousin Vern. They were sent to Earth to gather information on some weird substance the humans had invented. However, once exposed to the substance, Eyegore was transformed into what he was today. A squid like creature with a single eye on his head. His skin turned purple and he could no longer speak his peoples language. Plus, he was stuck on the planet due to the fact he couldn't fit inside his spaceship. Vern seemed to like the fact he was bigger and stronger then he was but Eyegore wanted to go home and forget the past decade.
Eyegore found himself being shacked by his horned friend. Phillips voice rung in Eyegore's small head as he swatted away the goat monsters hands. He looked at his companion with his eye. His curved horns and ugly face could be seen a mile away.
"Hey wake up! Remember we still got a job to do."
"Huh? Oh yes. Lets go Phillip."
[Canterlot.]
[Throne Room.]
Princess Celestia leaned back in her chair and breathed through her nose. Luna looked to her sister with a worried look. News of the attacking monster at the Crystal Empire was bad news enough, but now citizens were calling for an all out hunt for the creatures. Marco had to be removed from the hospital wing of the castle for his protection. Both him and Harry went into the Everfree Forest to live with their friends. Nopony knew were their camp was so they should be safe, for now. The thing she worried about the most was what the ponies would do if she didn't take action. Would they hunt down the monsters? How would her out of world friends react? She didn't want to know. The thought of seeing their darker sides made her skin crawl.
A knock at the throne door caught both princesses attention. With a uninterested tone, Celestia called to the door.
"Come in!"
Opening the door to the throne room came the mare from M.B.O.E. She approached the rulers with a stern look on her face and had a saddle bag with her. She bowed before the rulers and spoke with a more softer tone.
"Your majesties."
The mare raised her head and gave a small smile toward the royalties. Luna raised an eye brow to the sudden change of tone. The mare continued her introduction.
"My name is Dawn Star. I'm with a very special organization called the M.B.O.E."
Now both princesses gave a confused look. They have never heard of this organization and were curious to what they do.
"What exactly are they about?" Celestia asks.
Dawn Star grinned as she pulled out a document from her saddle bag. The princess took the paper with her magic and floated it towards her and Luna. Its lettering was bold and all capital letters with the picture of a cancelled monster on the bottom.
'GREAT PONIES OF EQUESTRIA! DO YOU WISH TO HELP YOUR FELLOW PONIES? DO YOU WISH TO FEND OFF THE HORRORS OF THIS LAND? LOOK NO FURTHUR! JOIN THE MONSTER BUSTERS OF EQUESTRIA AND BE APART OF RIDDING EQUESTRIA OF THE CREATURES SO THAT ALL OF US COULD SEE TOMORROW!'
Celestia and Luna exchanged glances. Saying this would be a surprise would be an understatement. It was more of a shocker then anything. A locally formed militia dedicated to hunting monsters? A part of Celestia didn't want to say anything about it. The other part wanted her be outraged that a said militia existed. Not wanting to make a fool of herself, Celestia turned her attention to Dawn Star who still had that look of cockiness.
"Why did you bring me this?"
Dawn Star had look of astonishment mixed with embarrassment on her face. It was like the princess asked her a question she didn't expect to hear, either that or didn't want to hear. Coughing into her hoof, Dawn Star recollected herself.
"I brought you that paper so that the royalties would know what we do. Oh and...look at the back."
Dawn Star now had an evil smile on her face. Nervous, Princess Celestia prepared herself as she turned over the paper. Her and Luna nearly collapsed after seeing what was there. A photo, black and white, it showed George, Lizzie, and Ralph eating dead animals. Celestia and Luna's face went pale and their eyes were the size of saucers. They knew about the monsters. Trying to hurry the conversation, Celestia looked at Dawn Star with narrowed eyes.
"Why is this important?"
It was Dawn Stars turn to look surprised.
"Why dear princess, I'm showing that document to let you know what our next targets are going to be."
Luna could see it in her sisters face, she was on the verge of exploding. Not wanting her sister to blow a gasket, Luna stepped in.
"Dawn Star...we appreciate thous deed but those beasts are under our protection."
The mare then gave the alicorns a dark stare for a second before returning to her innocent look. It was obvious she didn't like that to much. Though Luna could feel that the mare in front of her wasn't surprised at all. She was looked at though her suspicions had been correct.
"Well then...I guess Ill take my leave."
Celestia didn't have time to respond as the sudden sound of walls being destroyed. All three turned their attention toward a squid monster giving a sinister grin toward the two alicorns. Guard ponies burst through the doors and threw their spears toward the monster. As of the spears were made of pillows, they bounced off the monsters tentacles and fell to the ground below. Eyegore gave an unimpressed look as the guards chuckled nervously. The alien grabbed the guards and threw them behind him. Continuing with his task at hand, Eyegore set his eye apon the alicorns before him. Before he could reach for them, both blasted him with magic, sending him flying back and falling from the castle. Eyegore felt something grab one of his legs though, he looked to see his friend Phillip. The goat gave a wide ugly smile as he swung Eyegore next to him. The squid plunged his tentacles into the mountain and let out a breathe.
"Well...what happened?" Phillip asks.
"They are more powerful then we anticipated my friend. We will need to attack together this time."
With a nod, Phillip began to climb the mountain with lighting speed. Soon reaching the hole Eyegore made, Phillip let out a roar that sounded like a goat monster. Eyegore was right behind him and climb into the now tight room. The alicorns looked up at the two monsters with horrified eyes. Eyegore took a step closer but only to be blocked by a magic blast from Celestia. He growled and stepped forward again, this time Luna hit him directly on a leg, knocking him over. Phillip roared and charged the two. Both moved out of the way just in time before Phillip rams into the wall. The alicorns signed in relief as they tried not to laugh as Phillip sweared like a sailor with his head inside the wall. Enormous purple tentacles wrapped themselves around the two ponies and pulled then in close. Eyegore gave a growl, Celestia charged her horn and tried to blast him. Eyegore threw the princess and she slammed into the wall. Luna gasped and charged her own horn. This time hitting the alien in the jaw. He released her and she flew toward Celestia.
"Tia! Are you alright?"
Celestia raised her head and looked up at Luna.
"I'm fine but we need to leave immediately."
Both turned their attention to see a goat head looking at them with the angriest look the two have ever seen. He roared at the two at tried to pull himself out of the hole he was in. Guards rushed past the two and waited for the monsters to come through the doors. Worrying for her subjects, Celestia called out to them.
"Wait! Don't approach the door!"
The guards looked back to her. Then the sounds of grunts and cries of pain could be heard from the other side of the doors. All then went quite for a moment, the princesses and the guards waited to see what would happen. Suddenly to doors bust open followed by a flying squid monster flying over the ponies. Luna and Celestia gave each other confused looks as they could hear the pain induced moans of Eyegore from down the hall.
"Well...that was interesting." Luna said rubbing the back of her neck.
"Don't have to tell me twice sister." said a mysterious voice from behind the ponies.
All of the ponies flinched and slowly turned to see the most scariest sight they've ever seen. A muscular monster with skin that was blood red with a cow skull that was on fire. It had a sinister smile on its face. The guards readied their spears as the monster stepped forward.
"Calm yourselves. I'm not going to hurt any of you."
Celestia put her wing in front of her guards and looked up at the demon. His fists were bruised, probably from fighting the cyclops alien, she then looked into his eye sockets. She could feel lust for destruction and death inside of him but also could feel he was kind hearted and very brave.
"What's your name?"
The demon crossed his arms and chuckled.
"Names Nick, don't worry about Eyegore and Phillip. We've got them."
Celestia raised an eye brow as Nick finished his introduction.
"We?"
Just then, a squeaking roar caught the ponies attention. Nick looked over his shoulder to see his spider friend Sarah in a clash with Phillip. The goat monster roared and grabbed the spider by tow of her legs and lifted her over his head. Sarah struggled in Phillips grip but the goat tossed the spider slammed on the wall like a bug on a windshield. Nick roared and shoulder charged Phillip. He knocked the goat on his back and curb stomped him on the stomach. Nick then found himself wrapped up in tentacles and being pulled back by Eyegore. She struggled to get free, knowing what might happen if he gets to close. Extreme pain went through Nicks shoulder as Eyegore bit him. The demon punched Eyegore square in the eye, making him stagger back and shriek in pain. Nick then grabbed one of his legs and started pick him up and slam him over and over again. Seeing Eyegore breathing heavily, Nick snickered and dropped the alien on the floor. Sarah came from behind him and looked at their defeated foes.
"Toooooooo easy!" she said smiling.
Nick had to resist laughing at he could see some of the ponies were shacking at the sight of Sarah. It was obvious they weren't big on bugs. A deep voice then makes itself know behind the monsters.
"Yes...yes in deed."
Nick and Sarah looked back to see a large monster with white skin holding two knocked out alicorns in its hands and dead guards ponies around it. Eyegore then swats Nick and Sarah's feet from under them. Both made their way next to the monster with pained expressions. Nick looks down and sees the floor to the throne room was severely damaged and full of cracks and craters. Nick and Sarah looked at each other and gulped. The jelly monster laughed and stomped hard on the floor. The throne rooms bottom then collapsed from under the two, sending them flying down the mountain. Apon reaching the bottom, Nick could feel one of his arms was broken and his skull was hurting like hell. Sarah was missing a leg and one of her abdomen was covered in blood. The demon looked up to hear the laughs of the monsters as they got farther away. He cursed under his breathe as he stood on his feet, holding his arm. A familiar voice then comes from behind them.
"Nick!? Sarah!?"
Nick looked back to see Lizzie looking at him. His cow skull smiled and he waved with his good arm.
"Oh...hey Liz."
Lizzie ran over to the two. She helped Sarah up on her legs and aided Nicks arm.
"What happened!?"
Nick growled and looked back up to the hole in the castle above them.
"Bubba happened."
Things Cant Get Any Worse
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 30.]
Countless hours of searching was starting to wear down everyone. Its been two days since the princesses kidnapping and so far no one has been able to find them. It was like they vanished into thin air. All of the mane six, Cadence and Shining Armor, and the monsters were involved in the search. Nearly all of Equestria was covered was still no sign of the princesses. News had surfaced saying that the princesses were taken by three monsters. That was enough to cause all of Equestria to call for the monsters deaths.
It was night time, the stars glistened in the sky and Luna's moon shined bright with them. Twilight was relieved from this, knowing Celestia and Luna weren't dead and were alive somewhere. That didn't take away the worries however. She was worried about why the monsters took them in the first place. From the news she received from Cadence about the one monster that failed, her mind flooded with questions about why they were doing this. Her first thought was domination over Equestria, that was usually the case with super villains. Twilight knew her mentor wouldn't dare sell Equestria to come monster, but what would it do to her if she refused? She shudder at the thought, catching the attention of her friends. All looked up to her from the campfire, seeing the scared look on her face.
"You al' right sugercube?" Applejack asks.
"Ya. You've been quiet fro hours." Rainbow Dash commented. Flying to Twilight.
She looks up, and gives a nod to her friends.
"I'm fine girls...just a little worried."
A familiar voice then comes from behind Twilight, almost causing her to fall on her stomach.
"About what?"
All the ponies look up at the flaming cow skull above them. His arm was wrapped in a silk bandage made by Sarah. Nick was lying on his back and with his skull turned toward the ponies with one of his sockets raised. Twilight knew Nick wouldn't stop until she told him so she gave in.
"I'm worried about the princesses."
Nick then let out a heavy breathe through his nose and turned his head to look up to the stars.
"Ya...I understand. Bubba and his crew were always causing trouble at the labs, even when nobody planned to escape. It was either killing a certain amount of guards or plotting against a monster, Bubba always found a way to make things hell for the rest of us. I was actually glad when I woke up here a few weeks ago so that I wouldn't be around that scary blob any more. That's saying a lot coming from a big guy like me saying I was actually afraid of another monster. "
All the ponies looked up at the demon with wide eyes. If Bubba was as evil as Nick said, they needed to find him fast. Rainbow Dash flew up to Nicks skull and landed on his nose.
"How do we take out Bubba then? He's gotta have a weakness or something."
If Nick still had eyes he'd roll them.
"You didn't let me finish Dash."
Rainbow blushed and flew back down to her friends with an embarrassed look on her face.
"Bubba is a blob monster, meaning he's pretty much impossible to hurt. I remember when he got in a fight with another monster, Jack, didn't even get a scratch out of that fight."
Curious, Rarity speaks.
"What happened to Jack?"
Nick turns his cow skull to the ponies. His eye sockets narrowed.
"Well...their used to be forty monsters in those labs, now their were only thirty. You figure it out Rarity."
All the ponies went wide eyed. Bubba was truly a monster and an indestructible one at that. Twilight could feel chills go up her spine, thinking about what to do when they come across the monster. Before she could speak her mind, Nick speaks up.
"Me and the guys already have plan. You all find the princesses and get them out of there while we fight off Bubba and his friends."
Silence then flipped the group. Nothing but the sound of a fire behind the ponies and Nicks fire was all that was heard. They didn't even know how to react to that plan. It was pure suicide and would leave some of their giant friends left behind. The ground rumbled and more of the monsters came from over the trees. George, Lizzie, Ralph, Marco, Harry, Sarah, Boris, Curtis, and Ruby surrounded the bunch. All with pure smiles across their faces.
"Y-you all changed back into monsters?" Twilight said astonished.
"Well how else are we going to save your princesses huh?" Lizzie said.
Tears started to fill her eyes along with Rarity and Fluttershy. The thought of monsters that built to destroy and kill were now putting those elements to good use. Marco went in front of the purple alicorn and kneeled. Leveling his face with hers as best he could. He brought up his fin and wiped the tear running down the mares cheek. A wide smile on his face, Marco spoke with confidence.
"Now don't you worry. Were scum soda monsters remember? We always know to make a mess."
[Frozen North.]
With the moon raised. Luna let a sign and lowered her head onto her arms with a the miserable look on face. It had been days since her and her sister were fed properly and were losing energy by the minute. It got to a point were both had to help each other stand up. With the freezing temperatures as well, it was near impossible. Luna looked over to her sister who was gazing up at the moon through a small hole in the cave they were in. The cave was big enough to hold a ten story building, and unfortunately, nine of that space of taken. Both looked back to see a sleeping white blob monster behind them along with two other monsters. They didn't want to try escaping or else Bubba would preform his way of punishment for them, both shudder at the memory of the first time. The look on the beasts eyes was enough to even give Celestia nightmares.
A moan was then heard and Bubba moved. The princesses tensed at the blob monster sat up and rubbed his eyes. He gazed toward the alicorns and gave a wide ugly smile. He then began to crawl towards them like a dog. His lowered his head until it was inches away from Celestia's. His voice was deep and sounded like a much older being.
"How are my darlings today?"
Luna narrows her eyes and grits her teeth. Celestia puts a wing in front of her and shacks her head. Celestia answered him with a chill in her voice.
"We-were fine...M-Mr.B."
The monster laughs deeply and slowly starts to stroke Celestia's mane with a finger. Chills went up her spine as the monster then started to scratch her back. He laughs again and stands on his feet. He walks back over to where he was sleeping in lays on his side. Moments later, snores could be heard. Celestia signed deeply and was soon given a hug by her sister. A thought came to her mind as she gazed up at the moon.
"P-please my pupil. P-please h-hurry."
[White Tail Woods.]
[Day 32.]
Ralph was hot on the scent. He recognized that foul smell like no other monster, Bubbas BO. Even though his nose scrunched up ever time he took in a whiff, the wolf would not let that tail go. It had been a long trek from the Everfree to White Tail Woods and while trying not to get caught. With some of the trees being just as tall as the monsters, camouflage was easy, except for Harry and Marco who stuck out like sore thumbs most of the time. With the mane six, Spike, and his friends behind him, Ralph crawled on all fours and followed the scent. A sudden growl made the whole group tense up, stopping dead in their tracks they looked for the source. The growl happened again but this time coming from Marco. All turned to hear the growl coming from his stomach. The shark looked up and saw the looks his friends and the ponies were giving him. He blushed slightly with embarrassment.
"Hey don't blame me! I haven't eaten in days!"
Then another sound erupted from Lizzies stomach, she blushed and gave an embarrassed giggle. George pinched his temple, he looked at the sun, it was in the middle meaning it must have been noon.
"Alright...we'll take a break to eat here. Marco, find the nearest lake and get some fish."
Marco saluted and ran off into the forest.
"Ralph and Sarah, you two have animal trapping."
Just below, Twilight could see the look of anxiety in Fluttershy's eyes when the ape said that. George spoke again and this time pointed at the ponies.
"You all stay here and stay low, Lizzie and Nick stay here with them."
Lizzie nodded and looked down at the ponies and smiled while Nick nodded. George then pointed his finger, nearly hitting Harry in the eye.
"Harry your with me, we need to get some water."
"Right ho!" said Harry.
With that, the monsters ventured into the forest and out of sight. All that could heard were the sounds of trees being pushed over. Lizzie squatted and rested herself on her rear. Nick laid on his back, crossing his arms behind his head and letting out a sign. The ponies started to make a make shift camp out of the materials around. Soon a fire pit was made out of small rocks and sticks. Nick and Lizzie watched as the ponies went to work and were rather impressed by how short they got it done. The rest of the monsters returned a few minutes later with arms full of animal corpses and fish.
Rainbow Dash was just time to catch Fluttershy before she hit the ground from fainting. Applejack and Rarity started to unpack the food they brought from picnic baskets on their backs. Most of the monsters started to dig in to the animals while Marco started to eat the fish. The sounds of bones and flesh being chewed almost made Rarity puke multiple times. Twilight never saw Rarity turn that green in her life. Marco swallowed the fish in his mouth and let out a loud burp after words. He laid back and rubbed his stomach with a satisfied grin. Everyone started to laugh, Marco looked at them with a confused stare.
"What's so funny?" he asks.
"Nice meat gut dude." Ralph comments. Pointing at the large bubble of a belly on Marco.
The shark looks and sees the mountain of a gut he now had. Without thinking, Marco burst out laughing. George stopped his laughing when he heard the sound of something familiar. It sounded like, jets? No that cant be. Equestria wasn't that technology advanced yet so their was no way they could have had jets. George looked at Ralph and saw was his ears were perked up. Both looked at each other started to look around. All they could hear was the sound of jets flying the sky. Soon, everyone else ceased their laughter after hearing the sound. Rainbow Dash flew upwards into the clouds. She perks her head up from a cloud and sees something that makes her blood run cold. Squadrons of Pegasus ponies with combat armor, caring large crates from ropes.
Back on the ground, everyone else saw other ponies coming through the trees. The sounds of trees being knocked over and the sounds of their marching was nerve racking. Rainbow Dash sped down toward her friends. Twilight looked behind her to see all the monsters in battle ready stances.
"Maybe they want to help us." she says with a nervous grin.
Just as Twilight said that, the sounds of crossbows firing and the sight of them flying the in the air caused the ponies to scream bloody murder. George roared.
"EVERYONE MOVE!"
Everyone then started to run from the barrage. Arrows were coming down next to them, in front of them, and behind them. Some of the arrows were hitting the monsters but because of the their thick skin it was near impossible to penetrate them. The ponies stick to running in front of the monsters because of their size and durability. Trying to not to get trampled on, Spike held onto Twilights back as she ran as fast as he could in front of George. The ape didn't want to take the chance, he scooped up Twilight in his hand, earing a small 'eep' from her. The ides then came to his mind.
"Grab the nearest pony and don't let the arrows hit 'em!"
With that the monsters scooped up the ponies in their grips. Ralph took Rarity, Lizzie had Applejack, Nick grabbed Pinkie pie, Harry scooped Rainbow Dash, and Marco had Fluttershy. All held the ponies close to their chests and didn't let go. Soon after five minutes of running and avoiding countless streams of arrows, everyone took a minute to breathe. All the monsters were breathing heavily from running and ponies were collecting themselves from the experience.
"What...was that?" Twilight asks.
George looks down at her with narrowed eyes.
"I don't know, but we cant stay here to find out."
Twilight nods. George looks around, trying to get a sense of his surroundings. The area was surrounded by mountains snow covered tops and filled with a fog above them. Train tracks were running through the mountains as well. Twilight recognized the area.
"Hey! This is Smokey Mountains! Ralph, do you still smell Bubba?"
Ralph sniffs the air. He gives a sickening look and coughs.
"Oh yeah...they went through here."
"Which direction?" George asks.
Ralph points to an opening in the mountains, the train tracks were also heading through their as well. The monsters, with ponies in the their hands, begin to walk through the creepy mountains. The sun wasn't visible through the fog, it was shady for as far the eye could see. The air was cold causing Marco to shiver. Fluttershy looks ay him with her innocent eyes.
"What's the matter Marco?"
The shark gives the pony a fake smile and a chuckle.
"Oh just a bit chilly doll. I don't really like cold areas. Living in San Francisco can do that to ya."
Fluttershy tilts her head at the shark. She guessed in living in San Francisco was like living in a freezer. The echo's of soothing running of the mountains causes Ralph to stop in his tracks and growls. He was hearing that running since they came apon the mountains. It was beginning to bug him. Rarity looks up at the wolf with a worried look. All of the group stops to see what's the matter. Ralphs eyes were slit and he spoke in a dark tone.
"Something's following us."
The monsters look around with wide eyes and the ponies press themselves against their monster. The sound of heard again, Ralph turned his head and snarled. They were getting closer. Their was more then one now. Ralph determined, ponies from the sounds of hooves hitting the rocks. He heard them from everywhere, they were surrounded. They were in the fog above them, smart. Ralph had to give them credit, they knew what they were doing and they knew how to confuse them. Ralph was no fool though. Being a wolf, he could smell some of them were sweating and one was even bleeding. Ralph whispered loud enough to were all ten of his monster friends could hear him.
"Go back to back with each other and when I say 'go' you all climb the mountains and hide in the fog."
"What about the ponies?" Lizzie asks. Looking down at Applejack.
"Set them down somewhere they wont be spotted." George said.
The monsters let down the ponies they were carrying. All ran in the trees and ducked in cover. Minutes went by, nothing happened. Ralph could still hear running and chattering amongst the ponies in the fog. They were planning their attack still. The wolf then heard something that made his blood run cold. It sounded like a heavy machine rolling on wooden wheels. A catapult?
'Dammit. They came with heavy artillery.' Ralph thought.
The noises then stop. Silence filled the mountains. Minutes passed, nothing happened. Applejack leans in to Twilight and whisper to her.
"Whatcha think sugercube?"
Twilight shook her head.
"I'm guessing their waiting for the monsters to make a move. Keep a sharp eye out girls."
Spike looked around frantically. Trying to spot anything suspicious. He looks in one direction and sees something. It looks like a light coming through the fog. Squinting his eyes, Spike tried to figure out light. After a second, Spike realizes that light is really-!
"Flaming Rock!" he screams at the top of his lungs.
All the monsters looked and nearly avoided the rock from hitting them.
"GO!" Ralph roared.
One by one, the monsters disappeared into the fog. All the ponies could hear were screams and roars in the fog. On occasion, a catapult would fly down the mountain and flatten. Soon, silence filled the mountains again, this time it was more eerie. The monsters soon started to climb down the mountains. The sight made the ponies gasp. George was covered in blood that wasn't his own. Lizzie had small arrows in her arms and chest. Ralph, Marco, Curtis, and Harry had red painted teeth and claws. Boris and Sarah had to help Ruby stand because of a enormous arrow stuck through her leg and arm. She shrieked in pain as Boris pulled the arrow out. Twilight looked to Ralph, he looked down to her.
"Who attacked us?" she asks.
Ralph reaches into his mouth and pulls out a helmet. He plants it down near Twilight with a angry look. She looks inside the helmet for an ID tag and is shocked at what she reads.
'PROPERTY OF AGENT SHADOW CRAWLER AND THE MONSTER BUSTERS OF EQUESTRIA.'
She looks up at Ralph. He signs and scoops the alicorn in his hand.
"Come on. We still need to find your royalties."
[Galloping Gorge.]
[Day 34.]
Twilight looked over a map Applejack had given her. The complex paths, railroads, and locations Twilight herself didn't even know about was enough to make her hair start to turn grey. A way from Galloping Gorge to the Frozen North would take another day or so by walking. She looked up from the map, the canyon they were in with train tracks running under them made it feel like they were in the dead center of nowhere. She then looked behind the monkey, seeing all the other monsters with her friends in their hands and chatting with them. Rainbow Dash was flying next to Nick, discussing what would win in a race.
"No way! A Pegasus can total out fly one of those jet things!" Rainbow shot.
"Hehehe...if you say so." Nick chuckled.
Fluttershy was discussing the beautiful plains of the Earth with Lizzie. Applejack was in a small competition with Marco with eye spy.
"I spy with my little eye something...blue." he said with a smirk.
"Is it Ralph?" Applejack said. Pointing her hoof at the blue wolf next to them.
Marco growled in his throat while Applejack laughed. Ralph on the other hand was talking with Rarity about the many fashions he had seen on Earth before being transformed into a wolf. Rarity's eyes sparkled with new ideas coming to her from what the blue wolf was telling her.
"I shall call it! Earth Original!" she proclaimed.
Pinkie Pie was had found a monster just as crazy as she was. Sarah and her laughed for hours about silly topics such as, do monsters wear clothes, can spiders swim, and other nonsense that made them giggle. Returning her attention to the map, Twilight wished her, her friends, and all the monsters could take the train without being wanted by Equestria. She adjusted herself on Georges shoulder, trying not to knock over Spike who was sleeping next to her. George felt her move and raised an eye brow.
"Having trouble Twilight?" he asks.
Twilight gives the ape a wide eyed look but it soon fades to a worried look. No. She wasn't okay, she wasn't sure if they were lost or if they were going in the right direction. Twilight let out a irritated breathe through her nose.
"I don't know if were going in the right direction."
George bat an eye toward the alicorn on his shoulder. Ralph still had Bubbas scent but it was leading them in dangerous terrain now. George would be lying if he said he wasn't a little on edge. The eerie feeling this canyon was giving off made his fur stand on end. Their was no fog here, so it would be easier to see enemies coming. However, George could swore he could see dark figures running with lighting speed over the walls of the canyon. George was starting to get anxious, these shadows were starting to look like insects. A strange sound makes the ape stop his in tracks. Its sounded like a insectiod monster. As George continued walking he could smell something rotten, it smelled like a rotting corpse. Before he knew it, the ape stepped into something soft and mushy. He looked down and quickly stepped back. The rest of the monsters stopped dead in their tracks. All with confused looks.
"What's up George?" Ralph asks.
The ape turns to his friends with a concerned look.
"You all don't hear that?" George said.
All went silent. Everyone listened to nothing but the wind for mere moments. That is until the same insectiod shriek made Boris, Curtis, and Ruby jump into each other. All of the ponies screamed as well.
"W-what is that!?" Fluttershy cried.
"Fluttershy! Your an expert on animals! What's making that sound!?" Rainbow Dash said with narrowed eyes.
Fluttershy hid behind her mane, her whole body shacked with fear.
"I...I don't. I don't know!" she said.
The shrieking went on for seconds until it abruptly ended. Then, the sounds of large multiple feet were hitting the ground and walking toward them. Soon it sounded like one, then it multiplied into many! Soon, it surrounded the monsters from all sides. George, Lizzie, and Ralph went back to back with the ponies in between them.
A gold brown insect then came over the ledge of the gorge. Its golden eyes staring at the monsters below it. It clicked its feelers together and cackled, catching the attention of George. The ape looked up and saw the monster before him. It looked like a giant ant. George raised an eye brow at the sight of the monster and he wasn't the only one.
"I've never seen a animal like that before." Fluttershy said with wide eyes.
A pink blur then zoomed past the ponies and the monsters and soon was on top of the giant ants head.
"That's because this is one of the different skins of a monster called Preytor! Preytor is a giant praying mantis monster who is one of the many monsters who competes for the title of the strongest monster in the world!"
The giant ant hissed and attempted to grab Pinkie Pie but she was gone and was suddenly on Ralphs shoulder in an instant. Moat of the ponies nodded in understanding. While the monsters were jaw dropped and were collecting what Pinkie just said. The thought of another dimension full of more monsters was mind boggling to the gang. Meanwhile, the Preytor monster hissed and then let out an ear splitting screech. Everyone covered their ears as the sound nearly made their ears bleed. Preytor gave, what looked like a sinister grin, as more gold brown ants came from behind him and across the gorge. Now they were surrounded.
[Galloping Gorge.]
The whole situation was funny. Well, to George it was. Since his childhood, he was killing ants under his shoes just for fun. Now it feels like its coming back to bite him on the ass. He watched the ants became more anxious, waiting for a call to eat. Their mouths were watering at the were letting out ear splitting shrieks. George and everyone else was confused about the site. What was keeping them at bay? If they were hungry why hadn't they attacked yet? Were they waiting for something? Just then a light bulb went off in Twilights head. Her wings extended out and her eyes went wide. She knew why they weren't attacking. In order so that George could hear the pony over the roars and shriek's of the ants, Twilight shouted into the apes ear.
"Their waiting for an okay from an alpha!" she shouted.
George turned his head to look at the purple alicorn on his shoulder with a raised eye brow. She was looking at him with blank stare while George tried to process what she just said. An alpha? For ants? The whole thing sounded ridicules to George. The only thing considered an alpha to an ant would be its-
"Oh...shit."
The ground begun to shake under the monsters feet. The ants stopped their cries and looked behind them. The ground shook under massive legs as a larger ant moved its way out of the forest. This one was easily three times the size of its kind. It wasn't gold brown, instead it was pure gold with red eyes. It had massive wings on its back and was had mandibles that could make the toughest of monsters look in fear of it. It was their queen. A queen, that looked hungry. The scum monsters backed away slowly with defensive stances. With a beast that size with an entire army with her, they would get ready to run and fast! The queen let out a massive roar that rivaled the sound of a lion, the smaller ants then charged. Crawling down the walls of the gorge in rows. The scum monsters let out roars of their own as they charged the ants. One by one, the ants were torn apart, crushed, beaten, and dismembered as the monsters fought with all their might and fury.
George grabbed tow by their necks and slammed them together, causing a fountain of yellow blood to spurt out.
Lizzie dug her claws into one of the ants and head chomped down on another. She tore the heads off wit force. She quickly spat out the ant head from her mouth and nearly vomited from the taste.
Ralph slugged the ants in chests, sending them flying into the walls of the gorge.
Nick crushed the ants under his feet, grabbing them with his hand then punching them with his other.
Sarah was busy fighting the queen. Her size rivaled hers as the two titans collided and pushed against each others weight and strength. The queen bit on Sarah's neck, green blood oozing apon impact. Sarah growled and grabbed the queen with her legs. She then begun to spin the queen around her head, gaining momentum with each twirl. It was like was turning into a twister by this point. The spider then let go of the queen and she flew down the corridor of the gorge, landing on her back. She screeched and some of her ants came by to help her back up. She hissed and she then spread her wings, casting a shadow over the monsters. Sarah hissed and sprinted toward the queen.
The ants soon started to come much more then before. With greater numbers as well. Ralph wiped his brow and let out a heavy breathe.
"Were having trouble here guys!"
"Yeah no kidding! Do we have a plan!?" Nick said while head locking two ants.
George looked around. It didn't look like the ants were stopping anytime soon. An ant attempted to pierce George with its pincers. He grabbed them and broke them, he then plunged the two inside the ants head killing it instantly. These ants clearly didn't learn from their mistakes on attacking.
'Wait...that's it!' George thought.
"Ralph! Do you still have Bubbas trail?"
Ralph looked up from the ant he was beating down with a confused look. He sniffed the air and almost gagged.
"Oh yeah! He's been here!"
George grinned. He then looked to the alicorn that was gripping for dear life.
"Hey Twilight! Your planet has lava right?"
The pony looked up at the ape with a confused look.
"Yeah why?"
"That's all I needed to hear!"
George then uppercut an ant, sending its head clear off. George roared to his friends.
"Lure the bugs toward the Frozen North! We'll cook 'em!"
With happy nods in agreement. The monsters begin to sprint behind Ralph as he runs on all fours, following the trail of Bubbas BO. The air soon started to chill as snowed appeared in the gorge and clouds formed over head, blocking out the sun. The ants however would not give in to the cold as they kept a steady pace with the running monsters. George looked and saw cracks in the earth coming up. A smile came across his face as they ran faster toward it. As his friends were over the cracks, George spun around and slammed both his hands into the ground. The ground collapsed as if it was a trap door and gorge soon became a pit fall trap. The ants fell in the lava in rows as they fell to their fiery deaths. Everyone rested with ease as the last ant fell to its doom. Nick rested his head on his hand, letting out a sign. Something then catches his mind.
"Hey guys...where's-?"
Sarah then comes sprinting down the gorge with a dead ant queen in her mandibles. She smiles at her friends and lets the queen go over the lava. Chuckling, Ralph looks back and sees the blue mountains behind him.
"Hey guys...I think were here."
[Frozen North.]
[Day 35.]
It was cold. Colder the anything the scum monsters ever felt. Even to some of the warm blooded monsters it was unbearable. The wind felt like knives hitting them against their faces. Snow rained down on the monsters and ponies with fury. The sky soon became dark and our heroes have been wondering in the snow for what seemed like hours. Frostbite soon started to form on the monsters and ponies. Their skins discolored slightly and their movement became slower. All the monsters and ponies started to shiver and their teeth started to chatter. The wind pushed them further into the snowy mountains, as if it was guiding them to sanctuary or their death. Soon, the sky was pitch black, nothing but Nicks fire lighting the way for our heroes but even his fire was beginning to burn out from the freezing temperatures. Nick pushed himself to the middle of the group so that he and the others could see if anyone or anypony wondered off. So far, no one was missing. All the ponies huddled into Nicks chest, using his fire to keep warm for as long as possible. The snow started to come down harder, the wind starting to pick up. It wasn't even considered a nightly storm now. It was a blizzard and a bad one at that. Nick, because he is the only one that could see, spots a dark cave next to him and his group. He stops, gaining growls of annoyance from Marco and Harry that were behind him. He snarls at them and points to the cave. Looks of tired happiness swept across their faces as they proceeded into the cave. George, Lizzie, and Ralph, stopped and looked back. They soon followed.
Inside the cave, it wasn't much different from outside. The cold was still unbearable but at least no wind was or heavy snow was coming down on top of them. Everyone, to tired and cold to move, laid themselves on the icy wall caves. Nick sat in the center and let his friends crowd around him. The ponies were in his lap, huddled together still. Twilight, opened one of her eye lids and gazed apon her giant friends. She was shocked to see Marco had gone almost completely white and his eyes were bloodshot. Twilight saw that he was giving an expressionless look that sent a chill up her spine. She whispered to him.
"Marco?"
The shark looked down. His voice was raspy and much lighter then it was.
"W-what...I-is it...doll?"
Twilight could feel tears swell up in her eyes. Her friends looked as though he was about to die.
"Are...you okay?"
The shark started to laugh slightly. Coughing soon mixed with it. The monsters looked up to their friend. They knew he hated the cold and how much it affected his body. George looked himself over, his skin turned pail slightly but he wasn't as cold because of his fur. He then looked and saw Boris, and Ruby who were doing just as bad. Marco spoke again, snapping George back to attention.
"Hey...d-don't worry...ab-about m-me d-doll. I-Im gonna b-be just f-fine."
Twilight didn't believe him. The tone in his voice, the way he looked, how he was acting, Marco wasnt alright. He was dying. The shark moved his fin over toward the pony in Nicks lap. Twilight flinched as he begun to rub her ear in comfort, looking down at her with the most jovial look Marco has ever given. Twilight then grabs Marcos fin and hugs it tightly. She didn't even feel heat from the limb. Marco pulled back his hand placed it on his knee. George looked back and saw Boris and Ruby had stopped shivering and were now not moving at all. The ape shut his eyes and pulled his head away, not wanting to see it. Marco then laid in his back, placing his fins on his stomach and smiling. Twilight quickly ran over to the shark and looked at him dead in the eye as he shut them, letting out a breathe. Marcos chest lowered under her, however, it didn't rise again. Moments passed and still no rise. Twilight felt tears running down her face and she began to cry so loud the entire cave heard her. Tears fell from her face and hit the sharks belly. George took one last glance over to the Boris and Ruby, Curtis was crying as well on his knees in front of the two as he laid them on their backs. The ape didn't know what else to do, he grabbed the weeping pony from Marcos frozen body and placed her back in Nicks lap, her friends cradling her and shedding tears of their own. A fiery drop of fire hit Nicks knee, George looked up to see the demon crying as well. Lizzie was in Ralphs arms balling while the wolf fought back tears of his own.
The next morning came and the rest of the monsters along with the ponies gathered outside of the cave, sun shining down on their faces. All watched as Nick and George created an avalanche to bury the cave in snow, leaving behind three of their friends inside to rest. Ralph howled to the sky, the echo going through the mountains like a pinball. The mane six watched as the monsters unleashed their roars in honor of their fallen comrades. George turned to Ralph.
"You still have the trial?"
Ralph narrowed his eyes and snarled. He sniffed the air and growled.
"Oh...I've got it." Ralph growled.
"Well in that case...lets go give Bubba a warm welcome to Equestria." George said. Cracking his knuckles.
[Frozen North.]
[Day 36.]
The cold air had subsided. The sun shined bright in the sky, warming the air slightly. It almost felt alien to the ponies that were on the shoulders of the remaining six monsters. The memory of leaving behind Marco, Boris, and Ruby would be forever burned in their minds. However, they were more worried about the monsters. Ever since Ralph picked up the trail, everyone's been silent, nothing but looks of anger on all their faces. Occasional growls or grunts from them. It was obvious that revenge was on their minds. Though, Twilight was fearing about what that anger and lust for revenge and blood would do to their friends. They had the same look the day she and her friends met them all.
Ralph stopped dead in his tracks. Lifting his head up and looking up towards a large icy door. It was at least three times bugger then the monsters with a door knob on the front of it. Our heroes looked at the spectacle with wide eyes. George walked up to the door and raised a fist to it. He struck the door three times, stepping back from the door and crossing his arms. No one answered. With a growl, George knocked on the door again this time with more force. Again no answer. George was about to strike the door down before Nick stopped him. He looked at the demon with a raised eye brow. Nick smirked and pointed toward a almost invisible line at the bottom of the door.
"Booby traps? Clever bastards." George said to himself.
Nick placed his finger slightly close to the line, tracing it with his finger as he followed it to a wooden stake. Nick pulled the stake out of the ground and threw it to the side. George looked at him more confused then ever.
"What the hell was the point in that?"
"The door was unlocked. So the minute you tripped the wire and opened it..."
Nick swung open the door and out of no where came an icy battle-axe from the ceiling. The monsters looked in awe at the sight, while Rainbow Dahs was busy prying Fluttershy off Ralphs tail. George felt his jaw hit the ground.
"That's twice you've saved us Nick." Twilight said.
The demons cow skull grinned. The monsters then proceeded into the fortress. The sheer feel of the air was absolute zero. The halls were made of ice, a cold touch with every step. The echoes of the monsters stomping could be heard all the way down the hall. George groaned and stopped in his tracks. Everyone else stopping soon after.
"What's wrong George?" Rainbow Dash asks.
The ape shushes the pony with a finger to his lips. Rainbow Dash gives him a confused look.
"We need to be stealthy with this place. We know they live here but what we don't know is if their here or not. So what we need to do is find the ponies princesses and wait for Bubba and his gang to get back."
The group nodded in agreement.
"What we need to do is, since their are six of us, should split up and cover more ground."
Twilight gave a wide smile and flew up next to George.
"The pair will consist of one monster and one pony." she said.
"Ralph your with Rarity." George said.
The wolf placed his had out to the pony. Rarity hopped into his hand.
"Applejack your with Lizzie." Twilight said.
Lizzie lowered her head and AJ climb onto her nose.
"Nick, you've got Rainbow Dash."
The demon and Rainbow nodded.
"Pinkie Pie is with Curtis." Twilight said.
The two bro hoofed.
"Finally, Fluttershy your with Harry." George said
Harry smiled and bowed to the pink mane pony. Fluttershy blushed slightly. With the pairs made, the groups descended into the fortress.
Princess Celestia and Luna huddled together in a attempt to stay warm. Celestia looked and saw their three kidnappers were asleep. Now was the time to strike. The princess brought out an ice pick from under wing and placed the sharp end of it into the shackle lock. A few clicks later, the shackles came undone and fell to the floor. A loud crash echoing through out the room. Both princesses eyes grew wide and they froze in place. A snore escaped Bubba and he rolled to his side. Both let out a sign of relief and made their way to the walked silently toward the door. Celestia just started pushing open the door when a rubbery hand grabbed her and Luna with force. Both screamed as they were lifted up to stare directly into the face of an angry blob monster. Bubba spoke with a firm tone that made the princesses give looks of fear.
"No one...leaves Bubba."
[Everfree Forest.]
[Day 12. 7:10 am.]
George could not express how worried he was. It wasn't easy for something to get under his skin unless it was something really bad. Unfortunately, something bad did happen. When Spike mutated because of ingesting Lizzies blood, he destroyed most of PonyVille and thankfully only injured a few...dozen...ponies. It also involved all of the monsters showing themselves making the small village a wrestling ring for them. No doubt most of the ponies in the village will remember that day for as long as they live. Not to mention all of Equestria knew about the monsters being their and how close to home they were, no doubt something will happen in the next few days that will either be harmful or safe to him and his friends. Speaking of which, George turned his head to his still sleeping companions. He signed and looked up to the rising sun in the sky. A thought came to his mind as the sun shined on his brown fur.
'We need to leave this place and find somewhere no one will hunt us down or think of us as tourist attractions.'
With that on his mind, George didn't know where to go. The only place he knew about was PonyVille and the forest. Anywhere else was unfamiliar and dangerous to him. George stood up, stretching his arms and trying not make a sound while doing so. He then precedes to quietly slip away from his friends as he walks toward PonyVille.
[Canterlot.]
[7:25 am.]
Luna didn't know what was worse, that fact the monsters have made themselves know through out Equestria or the fact creatures from all over Equestria want them to be destroyed because of what they did to PonyVille. Make matters worse, other countries were threating to send armed forces to kill the monsters themselves. All of this was beginning to become freighting the Luna and her sister Celestia as lawsuit threats were thrown against the two after the destruction. While Celestia was handling the paperwork, she put Luna in charge so she could prevent any more monster attacks. It was top priority that the monsters wouldn't come near another populated area. If they did, Luna didn't want to think about it. It wasn't their fault they were so destructive, it was just how they saw to have fun. That fun however has nearly killed ponies and a entire town. No. Not again.
Luna found herself staring out to the Everfree Forest by a balcony, hearing the rustling of trees in the distance. She signed, thinking back to what Twilight had told them when the attack had ended.
'They used to be something before they mutated. I saw it in Ralphs eyes, he didn't want to remember it.'
Those words tortured both Luna and Celestia through out the day. The thought of these monsters actually being less then what they were was hard to comprehend. An idea came to Luna, what would they be like of the effects of their mutation was released? Would they return to normal or would they die without it? Luna rubbed her hoof on her chin in thought. This would be an idea to share to her sister later on when she's done. First however, she would need to consult one of them. Luna spread her wings the in the glow of the sun and leaped off the balcony with grace. Flapping her wings in the wind, Luna sped toward the Everfree Forest where the monsters had made a part of it their home.
Luna turned past a mountain to see five monsters participating in random tasks. George was sleeping in a pillow of trees. Lizzie and Marco were swimming in a lake. Ralph and Harry were sitting on their rears and eating animal corpses. Luna coughed in her hoof, catching the attention of Ralph and Harry below her. The blue wolf spoke with a bloody lip and a lump in his cheek.
"Oh hey Luna! What's up?"
Luna lowered herself onto Ralphs knee as he chewed what ever was in his mouth.
"I came here to ask something of you. All of you."
All the monsters heard Luna and turned their heads toward her direction. She was the center of attention of the monsters now, she better make it count.
"I wish to know about you five in your past lives."
George sprung up from his sleep and kneeled down at the princess on Ralphs knee. His look of anger made Luna slightly flinch.
"Why do you need to know?"
"Because..." Luna took in a deep breathe.
"I want to turn you five back to normal."
Ralphs food spurt from his mouth. Blood and pieces of flesh flying and raining on Luna. She wiped away the fluid as looked up to see wide eyed wolf and gorilla looking down at her. Luna felt herself shrunk inside but she kept her baring. George broke off from his gaze and walked back over to his tree pile. Laying down with a scoff.
"Cant be done. We've been stuck as monsters for years now, we lost our way of becoming normal again a long time ago."
Luna was flabbergast. She flew over to George and landed on his chest. He raised an eye lid and stared at the lunar pony on his chest.
"Sheryl their must be a way to reverse to return you to normal?" she asked determined.
George closed his eye lid and laid his head back on the tree pile. Luna narrowed her eyes. Georges breathing was raising her up and down in the air, nearly losing her balance. George grabbed Luna around her waist with his fingertips and placed her on his shoulder.
"Listen little pony, don't you think someone had TRIED making us normal again? You name any genetic test, I guaranty we have been in it."
Luna felt herself feel sorry for the monsters as George told her about being imprisoned in a laboratory and escaping it to destroy entire cities in months. Then he came to the part where his friends accidently stopped an alien invasion and how they were classified as heroes, for about a few months until they broke out again. A thought came to Luna as George finished his story.
"Don't you miss it?"
George turned his eye to her in question.
"Miss being normal? Yeah I do. We all do. We miss talking to normal people and having normal lives but being giant monsters was a dream come to true to some of us, to others it was a curse."
Luna didn't know what to say. It was odd hearing this about a monster missed being normal but they didn't want to return to normal. The whole situation didn't make sense to her. Another thought came to her.
"Who says you have to be permanently normal?"
Again all the monsters turned to Luna but this time crowded around her and George. All their eyes wide with interest.
"What do ya mean doll?" Marco said.
"What I mean is, I think I might know somepony who can change you five into ponies and also will allow you to change back into monsters at will!" she said excited.
All the monsters exchanged glances to each other. The thought of being like were-monsters sounded intriguing to them. Luna flew up from the Georges shoulder and looked down at the five monsters.
"I will be back later with the spell. You all just wait here!"
With that Luna flew off toward deeper into the forest, leaving excited monsters looking at each other. Harry didn't trust this situation. It seemed out of place.
"I don't believe this rubbish with my life!"
Lizzie turned to the white haired ape.
"What choice do we have Harry! We can have a chance to be normal again!"
Harry turned his attention to the lizard and crossed his arms.
"When was the last time that was told to us? Did it work?"
The monsters went silent. Harry was right, time and time again the monsters were told they would become normal again but all that happened was them being locked up in prison cells and never seeing day light. If Luna said was true, they would have lives again and also would keep being monsters. The opportunity was hard to pass up. George stood up and looked to his friends.
"Whether its BS or not, if were offered being normal again. We are taking it."
The monsters roared in agreement. This was their chance, a chance to become normal again. Then a thought came to Ralphs mind as the cheering pressed on.
"Hold on...wouldn't we be ponies of we returned to normal in this world?"
The monsters thought about it for a minute. Marco roared in the sky.
"GOD DAMMIT!"
[The Crystal Empire.]
The hairy monster growled at Pegasus ponies flying around him. He looks back to the ponies on the balcony above him. Giving them an evil smile, he jumps and digs his claws into the crystal building. The balcony shacks as the hairy monster climbs up. The captain looked toward the princess with narrowed eyes. Cadance had a look of fear.
"Princess get back inside! We'll handle this beast!"
Cadance was flabbergasted by what the Pegasus told her. This was her castle top defend and she wasn't going to back down so easy.
"Are you kidding me!? I'm helping you!"
Feeling the vibration of the monster getting closer, the captain was short on time.
"Princess this isn't the time to argue! The busters will handle this mon-!"
A large hairy hand burst from below the balcony and grabbed the captain, he screamed as the monster pulled him under the balcony. The sounds of his screams and the crunching of his bones made the other Pegasus gag. Cadance knew now it wasn't safe here but she didn't want to let this monster win the fight.
The monster was swinging his fists at ponies flying around him. Punching ponies into the ground and crushing them apon impact. Ponies on the ground were shooting the monster with large crossbows. Impaling the monster with the arrows. Blood leaked from the impale wounds, the monster growled in pain, it then started to pull out the arrows one by one. With the arrows in his hand, an idea came to its mind. Letting out a deep laugh, the monster began to throw the arrows at the ponies on the ground. Some of the arrows destroyed the crossbows they came from. Others impaling ponies on the ground and killing them instantly.
With the projectiles destroyed the monster continued his task at hand. Climbing the crystal castle again, the monster made his way up top the balcony were the ponies were before. Right below the balcony, the monster punched the bottom until the hole was big enough for him to fit through. Pulling himself up, the monster crawled through the doorway into the castle. Realizing he could stand at his full height, the monster stood on his feet, slightly hunching over to avoid hitting his head on the celling. Stomping through the hallway, he could hear the flying ponies outside, growling the monster decided to search for his target. Reeling his hand back, the hairy monster swung his fist full force and destroyed a wall next to him. She wasn't in their. The monster kicked another wall down, still nothing.
After nearly an hour of searching and destroying the castle from the inside, the monster was beginning to become annoyed. With an irritated roar, the monster brought up his hands and slammed both of them into another wall. Inside the room though was something he didn't expect. A blast of magic hit him directly in the face. Knocking him on his back. Sitting up, the monster growled and saw two ponies with stern looks on their faces. One was white with blue hair wearing a purple and gold armor. The other pony...
'Gotcha!' he thought.
The monster sprang up and wrapped his hand around the pink pony. She screamed as the monster pulled her close to his face. He heard the other pony call out from below him.
"Cadance! No!"
The other pony hit him with another blast in the side of his head. That didn't hurt as much as last time. Thinking this pony would become a problem, the monster kicked the pony, knocking into a wall. Seeing the pony either unconscious or dead, the monster decided now would be a time to leave. Another blast hit him on the cheek. Looking over to see an enraged pony in his grasp.
"Ill see that your killed for this you monster!"
Not impressed by the intimidation, he roared in the ponies face, causing her to pass out from the severe bad breathe. Laughing, he turned towards the window covered wall behind him, another idea coming to his mind. The monster slugged the wall with force, causing it to collapse. Looking over the hole, he could see buildings around him. Smirking, he jumped from the hole and landed on top of a roof. He could hear ponies screaming as he stomped on the rooftop. Hearing the flying ponies coming, the hairy monster had to make a quick escape. It then started to sprint on the rooftops, leaping when theirs a gap in the structures.
One of the fliers radioed to Shadow Crawlers who was on the edge of the empire.
"Sir! He's got the princess! Is the trap set!?"
Shadow came over the radio with a chuckle.
"Oh yeah, its ready."
Just as he said that, a net flew in the air in front of the monster. The monster grew wide eyed as the net wrapped him up and sent him flying to the ground. Cadance flew out of his grasp still unconscious, a flying Pegasus grabbed her and flew her down to medics down below. The monster struggled in the net, it was a tight fit inside and he wanted to get out as soon as possible. Shadow Crawler approached the net and smirked. The monster growled and showed his teeth.
"So...what's your name?"
The monster spoke in a harsh tone toward the pony.
"Piss off you bloody pony!"
Shadow shrugged. He expected the monster to be hostile.
"Okay. Maybe you'll tell us more at headquarters."
[M.B.O.E. Headquarters.]
"Okay...lets run through this again. What's your name and were did you come from?" a mare pony spoke through a speaker.
The mare and several other scientists watched from behind glass into a white room at the hairy monster with crossed legs and arms in front of them. He had the look of anger on its face. It was like a child pouting.
"I told you wankers I aint talkin unless its to that pink pony."
One of the scientists leaned into the mares ear.
"I think he means Princess Cadance ma'am."
The mare raised an eye brow.
"Why do you think it to be necessary to only speak to the princess you just tried to kidnap?"
The monster then said something that caught everypony off guard.
"Because I was told to bring her to my boss."
Thinking they would get more information out him. The ponies agreed with some hesitation. The princess came into the room minutes later with her husband Shining Armor behind her. Before the princess could ask, the monster spoke up again.
"If your bloody fuckboy over there is gonna go off on me, your not getting info." he said pointing at Shining.
Cadance and Shining exchanged glances before he stepped back from the microphone. The princess spoke into the mic.
"Okay then, first question, what's your name?"
"Joe." he said.
Cadance never heard a name like that before. Shacking it off, she proceeded with her questions.
"Why did you attack the Crystal Empire, killed over a dozen ponies, and caused thousands of bits in damage?"
"Because I was assigned to get you and bring you back to my boss." Joe said nonchalantly.
Cadance was shocked to hear other monsters were involved in this. More curious then before, Cadance wanted to know who was 'boss.'
"And who is that?"
"Cant tell you." Joe said looking away.
"Why is that?" she said raising an eye brow.
"Cause I don't want to." he said narrowing his eyes.
Cadance was surprised by the aggression coming from Joe all of a sudden. One second he was normal and the next it was like she kicked his dog. This must have been something that he was told to keep secret.
"Come on...you can tell me." she said in a kind tone.
Joe looked at the princess in the window and let out a sign. He knew of he escaped this place, he would have hell to pay. Joe uncrossed his arms and placed them on his lap. He then looked up to the princess.
"Their are three others, Philbert, Eyegore, and our boss Bubba."
"What exactly was their mission?" Cadance asked.
Joe remembered back to what the jelly of a monster told him before he left.
'If we want to conquer this place, we need to take out its leaders. Joe, you take the pink one. Philly, you take the moon one. Eyegore you take the sun one. I expect you all to bring them to me by the end of the week.'
Coming out of his flashback, Joe looked down at his lap.
"Lady, you aren't the only one being hunted."
