Local human gets sent to Equestria on his way to his friends house for a Dungeons and Dragons one-shot.

Our protagonist was on his way to an annual get together with his old friends where they play a Dungeons and Dragons "One-Shot" campaign. Unfortunately he never made it.

Ignis, a Summer Eladrin High Elf, wakes up in Equestria on the day of the Summer Sun Celebration. Join our would-be hero as he fumbles his way through one adventure after another. With mysteries to unravel, Big Bad Evil Guys to thwart, and dice to be rolled, who knows what kinda trouble we may find ourselves in!

Tags that should probably be included but I can't due to there being a limit on how many tags you can use:

(I'm not swapping them out for any of the other tags because they don't show up at all early on and even then I'd say only 15% of the fic consists of content relevant to these two tags.

Fair warning about the story that dips a bit into spoiler territory: Originally this fic started as joke cause I noticed there weren't very many D&D + Gamer-esque System fics on the site, and it was supposed to end around chapter 8 or 9. Because of that you'll notice a much more relaxed and joking tone for the early parts of the fic, and I feel it is only fair to warn that the story does become more serious and a bit dark after 180k-ish words.

Also there are some plot points towards the end of Season 1 that got brought up way too late, and as a result the end product is messy and some readers said straight up frustrating. The only way I can fix that is with basically a full rewrite of season 1 and I'm just... not doing that. That's all the warnings out of the way though. So now if you get to any of those points and drop the fic you can't be like "wow i wasted X Hours of my life reading this fic for it to suddenly XX wtf author."
