Vacation time demanded by Princess Celestia is something most ponies would want. The Elements of Harmony are not most ponies. They have a reputation for causing unintentional chaos wherever they trot. Being asked to bring Discord along with them to Las Pegasus wasn't high on their priority list, but at least his chaos should cancel out any mischief they make on their own. It was so mathematically simple!
