Chapters Earth
My eyes are killing me but I am almost done with getting out of the Sierra Madre, the worst DLC on Fallout New Vegas. Now you may be wondering whats going on. I am just a simple nerd who thought it would be fun to replay Fallout New Vegas, class doesn't start back up for three more days so I have time to be free since college sucks. As i finally escape that damn vault part of the casino after dieing so many times. I couldn't help but let out a victory cry
"FINALLY" I yelled
"Time to get to bed". On the way to go to bed a quick stop to the bathroom to get ready for bed. I look in the mirror on the way, my tired hazel eyes staring back at me. I'm a decent looking guy with short brown hair, bit on the short side at 5'5, and in shape for a 22 year old. I wash my face and brush my teeth then head off to bed, Quickly falling asleep from playing a game for far to long.

I wake up panting and hot. Struggling to breath I open my eyes to see bright light in my face with a tinge of blackness around the sides.
"What is happening!" I yelled quickly getting up slipping on sand and almost face planting. I look at my surroundings and see a desert
"Why do i feel so heavy." I thought to myself looking down in shock to see I'm in Veteran Ranger Armour brown coat and all. "
"What?" I said taking it all in some more.
"I even have a pip boy." Looking at the pip boy it actually works i can see what i have on me. NCR ranger gear and helmet, Ranger revolver, anti material sniper, 10 sunsets sarsaparillas, 3 purified waters, 12 stimpacks, and, a whole bunch of ammo.
"Stay calm you are still in the middle of nowhere I hope this pip boy has a map." I said looking at the pip boy map i see a marked location called Buffalo tribe camp and Appaloosa to the east of it.
"The Hell?" I thought as I walked to the closer camp.
Ten minutes later I'm walking up a sand hill almost at the the camp. When I reached to top I stopped and pulled out the rifle to use the scope to see how far away the camp was. I was shocked to see tribal buffalo happily going about their day
"Not in Cali anymore." I said out loud to my self putting the sniper back on my back, adjusting my coat a little as I work up the nerve to go over there. The Armour doesn't bug me in fact it feels comfortable. The rifle inst to heavy and the revolver is snugly holstered almost as if every thing was perfectly tailored to fit me.
"Time to see what is going on and to get help." Saying out loud. Walking down to the camp the male buffalo quickly point spears at me while the female and children run into tents.
"What are you doing here creature?" A huge brown buffalo all painted up with a headdress shouts at me while the others circle me.
Quickly putting my hands up I say " Easy there I'm not here to cause trouble, only looking for help." Watching as the big one in front of me lowers his spear.
"I am chief Thunderhooves chieftain of the buffaloes. What is your name outsider?" Thunderhooves says as the other buffalo lower there spears and the others come out of hiding.
"Ranger Wolf Of The New California Republic." I say on response as if I am Ranger Wolf. Surprising my self since I was going to actually tell him my name. The buffalo start going about there businesses as I talk to the chief.
"What type of creature are you to be encased in strange garb?" He asked.
"Human and its armor. " I Shortly reply.
"Come follow me we shall sit and talk." he says as he walks over to a fire. Following I sit down opposite side of him.
"Sorry about the hostile way we acted. Our luck with outsiders has only brought trouble." Sighing as he sits down.
"Whys that?" Questioning as I stare at him. Surprising myself as I seem to care about them.
"First two legged smelly diamond dogs raid us and take us for slavery, then pony's steal our land and stop our stampeding runs, but you asked for help yes?" He asked offering me a bowl with some liquid in it.
Taking the bowl I say "Yes I just woke up here but tell me about these diamond dogs taking slaves and these pony's".
"The diamond dogs raid us once a full moon taking supplies and kidnapping whoever they can. They even took my daughter, Little Strongheart" he sadly says. "The ponys have built a town they call Appaloosa led by a orange pony with a stupid hat called Braeburn. We tried to tell them that they where on our land, but all we got out of them was it was theirs".
My anger starts to grow internally as I here about their struggles. "Where do the mutts live" saying coldly as i stand up, hand going down to my revolver.
"West underground. They mine for jewels and gems." He says getting up with me.
I start walking west holding in my rage as I try to calm down.
"Where are you going?" He says walking with me.
"To get your people back and maybe talk to this Braeburn".
He stops as I reach the end of the camp. "But you'll be killed there are to many of them!".
"Ill be fine and you'll have your Little strongheart back in no time." I say walking out of camp.
20 minutes later
"What am I doing why am I doing this." Thinking to myself as I lay down behind a rock staring at the diamond dog things at the entrance to their underground base. They are truly horrible beings nagged teeth, spiky tails, hunched over, and wearing tattered vest things leaving their goods for all to see.
"Whats the point of wearing clothes if you aren't covering up anything. Rusted spears and swords, four outside close together." Thinking to myself while loading explosive rounds into the anti material rifle. Yeah also forgot to say I have different types of ammo sorry was to busy trying not to freak out about all of this. The dogs group up together to talk. I take aim at them.
"Why am I so bent on doing this sure I shot guns before what American hasn't, but killing never once."
"To late now." As I pull the trigger. Time seems to slow down as the round hits one of them center mass exploding turning them to paste. Standing up putting the rifle on my back drawing my revolver.
"Have to go in, worry about others, crises later." Walking to the entrance trying not to look at the mess I made.
"Me sure to have heard big boom come on gruz."
Looking in the entrance I see two more diamond dogs Walking out. We all stopped and stared at each other for a good second.
"That thing kill others get him." The one on the left says as he tries to stab me. I quickly backed up avoiding his jab as i aim my revolver at him. "Stand still so I can stab you!" He shouts.
'BOOM' As he falls back the other one drops his spear. "Please don't kill me." He begs dropping to his knees. He has a brown vest on, blue fur, and a clubbed spike tail.
"Where are the prisoners and how many?" I say pointing the gun at him.
"They are on the lower levels. We have many earth ponys from pony town and a few buffaloes to help pull gem carts. No unicorns though they don't come out this far." Gruz shakes as he talks.
"Your going to run away and never come back, or else you'll die." Threatening him seems to work as he runs off into the middle of the desert. "Time to go in."

Diamond Dog Tunnel
Time. 12:37 A.M
Standing at the entrance to the tunnel I notice the ground is wet with the remains of the diamond dogs that I recently dealt with. A part of me wants to look down while another part wants to keep moving quickly to save the slaves. Reloading the one round I fired earlier, I looked down the dark tunnel seeing to my surprise more darkness. Activating the mask's night vision, I crouched and headed down. It wasn't the green night vision we all know, but it makes things lighter and a bit saturated, a bit Like cat eye from the games. It was a little while until the tunnel opened up to a huge room filled with cages full of colorful ponies and buffaloes.
"Get the slaves out of the cells and back to work mining for gems!" A huge dirt brown diamond dog dressed in what appears to be clumped together metal armor with a red cloth like skirt around his waist. "The boss wants more gems faster and that's what he'll get." He says while throwing the keys at a bluish diamond dog in a crowd of at-least seven.
Pulling my rifle from my back I quietly lay down to use the scope. "Lets see eight here, five dead ones outside, and one left to live another day. That makes sixteen total, must be a small operation." I mummer to my self. Loading my rifle with armour piercing rounds . The diamond dogs start to split up and go to their position. The boss sits down while two start to get straps hooked up to carts and the others go deal with the slaves.
"Get the big ponies first they'll put up the most fight." An archer in leather armour unlocks the cage to the buffaloes. Only two come out just to quickly get shackled. They protested but having spears poking you, theirs not much fight they can do. "Little one come out to you no slouch!" The archer yells yanking a little buffalo out and strapping her two a cart.
"When my dad hears about this your all done for!" She yells fidgeting with the straps. Shes the chiefs daughter definitely but I cant act now their all of weapons are still on them. Damn now it looks like its the ponys turn. They are very colorful and cute If i might say so myself. Coming in all sets of colors. A guard opens the cell and leads the ponys out.
"Why ya'll doing this to us you have no right." Wined a yellow pony with orange/gold hair also with, and I'm calling it and sticking to it, an apple tramp stamp on both sides of his rear. Not that I was checking it out or anything just observing ...wait they all have a tramp stamp on their rears. Whats that about?
"Don't worry Braeburn there just low life evil scum." A grayish pony with gray hair and a star on his rear. Must be the sheriff than. *CRACK* And he just got whipped. Now I'm super angry. The ponys get out and line up while the guards stand by them eager for them to get out of line. There seems to be four in total and they do not like the buffaloes based on that look they are giving to each other. To bad the pony's mean face is cute almost like they are little kids. Taking one last look at the slaves my eyes widen when I see a rust brown unicorn's horn start to light up. I quickly turn off the night vision since the light is so bright. The light in the room gives me enough vision to make out the rest. Braeburn is on the left next to the sheriff, who is next to the final pony a girl.. sorry ma'am didn't mean to look...who is light red with pinkish hair and a tramp stamp of soda bottle with fizz coming out of the top. The buffalo are to the right of the ponys hooked up to carts to.
"Now time to go mine for more gem slaves!" Mister I'm the boss since I"m the best dressed said. Damn. Quickly entering VATS, time stops and numbers appear on peoples body parts. How did I do that? Just happened like I knew what I was doing, in fact all of this seems like I'm doing this as if I have actually done all of this before. I lock onto the leaders head 90% chance to hit. Next I lock on to the guards with spears next to the slaves four in total, all my rounds in the mag will be used up when fired. Will have to have to kill the last three with the revolver.
"Die scum!" I yell while letting VATS go. The leaders head quickly explodes into a shower of gore all over the unicorn while the rest of the rounds hit the four other diamond dogs ending their lifes in a matter of seconds. The last three, all archers go figure, notch their arrows and turn towards me while the ponys and buffaloes panic and struggle to flee. Jumping down with my revolver out all of us fire at the same time. *Boom* *Pang* *Pang* *Rip* It all happened so fast the first dog going down while an arrow bounces off my helmet the other breaks upon hitting my chest armor and pain lots of pain as the third one goes into my thigh. I grunted in pain falling onto my knees while I enter VATS to finish off the last two dogs.
On my knees I see little Strongheart squirm out of her straps and free the buffalo. They all three approach me Strongheart is the first to speak. "You weird creature who saves us while risking death. For what purpose?" She asked while titling her head like a dog.
"Ranger Wolf of The New California Republic. Its what we do, also chief Thunderhooves told me where you guys where at." I say loud enough for all to here. My voice came out all gravelly maybe due to the mask?
"Then you are here to save us quickly we must go." I stare up at and past her to see the ponys free and huddled together with the sheriff at front. Must of gotten free when I fell. Its funny why am I so calm about all of this? I have an arrow in me and is in extreme pain, but I don't care about that right now.
"Not with out them to." I point at the ponys. She looks up at them then sneers.
"They can rot in here." She spits out then starts to head out while one of the buffalo leaves with her. I try to get up to follow her but the last buffalo blocks my way saying.
"No you help the ponys. I'll keep her safe, this you must do" He grabs a spear and walks away with the others. Next thing you know the ponys are surrounding me.
"Here let me help you" The rusty red unicorn says going for my leg. Now that he is here I can get a better look at him. A doctors bag on his butt with an orange mane and tail.
"Doc if you can get the arrow out of me I can deal with the wound" I say digging through my pockets for a stimpack.
I feel hooves wrap around me and the culprit talks. "Thanks there partner I'm Breaburn,, the docs Thread Needle, over there is Sheriff, Sheriff Star." He points at the sheriff. What is all I can think before he points at the mare and says. "And She's Fizz Bottle thanks for saving us." As he kisses my helmet I fell alot of pain as the doc pulls the arrow out.
"There. Now how are you going to stop the bleeding?" Thread asks as I stab a stimpack into my leg. 11 left. The wound heals as he stares at it. "Remarkable!"
"Thanks doc for pulling that arrow out"
"Your welcomed but you owe me answers." Thread says standing up.
"Of course" I stand up. "We need to leave more could show up and plus all this death is bumming me out." The Ponys all grimace as we start to head out. "How long of a walk is it?"
"About three hour walk back in the hot sun." Sheriff says as we all whine.
"Great."

Some of you like it I guess but expect chapters randomly since life likes to keep me busy with work and random distractions.
Location Unknown
The sun is bearing down on the five of us and we still have two more hours until we reach Appaloosa. The desert is a lot like California's desert with the same plants that somehow grow in the middle of a desert. Near mountains I can understand but its just flat land and I'd be happy looking at it more if it wasn't so damn hot. Speaking of the heat, Braeburn and the sheriff seem fine with it, in fact Braeburn seems to enjoy it. He keeps trying to show off the sweat of his muscles to impress me since he caught me checking him out. I'm flattered and all but hes not my type. Yeah I didn't think like that before but since coming here I learned I was bisexual and have no problem with the different species thing which is another personality change that is happening. It's getting real hard trying to remember some real things about my life before this. I'm broken out of my thinking when Braeburn finishes talking.
"Then Applebloom!" Braeburn looks back to me "Wolf did you listen to any of that?" He tilts his head like a dog would.
Shaking my head at him, "Sorry but no. You just talked about your family for two hours non stop and kept interrupting anyone who tried to say something." He blushes and looks down shamefully. Looking back at Thread Needle he seems to be just staring at me. "What is it doc?"
Looking shocked he stumbles a bit and looks up to me. "Sorry it's just that you are an anomaly." Shacking his head he continues. "I don't mean that in a bad way its just that you a total random creature risks his life to save us and gets hurt in the process...just...just why?" All of them stare at me now even poor Fizz who looks like she's about to die.
Walking over to Fizz Bottle I pick her up she eeps and blushes as I pick her up bridle style . She is really light despite coming up to my lower belly and she's drenched in sweat great. Pulling my coat up over my head so she gets relief from the sun she looks up at me. "You looked like you weren't doing so well. Thought you needed a lift and some water." I pulled out a purified water and gave it to her. 3 Purified Waters left.
"Thank you. You don't have to do this." she stammers out drinking the water like a baby would do. These ponies are just to cute. My heart breaks every time they do something adorable like Fizz Bottle bottle. The way her wet pink hair slowly covers part of her face, her soft coat. Blushing she breaks me out of my daze as I stare at her face which is all scrunched up. "Are you okay?" she asked.
"Just looking at a cutie." She blushes and looks away.
"That's nice and all but are you going to answer my question?" The doc says impatiently.
Sighing we continue to walk as I pet Fizz's hair she also sighs a sigh of happiness. Just so cute. "To answer your question Thread. I'm a ranger for the Republic.. an elite soldier that can handle their own in the toughest of the tough situations." I'm really not but I cant seem to correct myself. "The place I come from is filled with horrors beyond the eye to see. Before We joined the NCR The desert rangers where volunteers out in Mojave protecting the communities that live there. Citizen soldiers you could say." Yet again another lie I say but cant stop it.
"So law bringers than?" Asked Sheriff Star.
"In a sense. We would sometimes act as law men and women but we mostly went out to deal with the threats." Looking at them they all seem to be curious. "How about this we take turns asking question?" They all nod there head. Info time yay. "My turn since the doc asked. where exactly am I?"
"Equestria." Fizz says. Yeah so not earth any more.
"So where is the New California Republic than?" Sheriff star asks. I can't help but sigh.
"Truthfully and I am not lieing, not on this planet. Just woke up here and walked into that Buffalo camp." They all gasp and Fizz squirms a bit. "Relax I'm not here to do horrible stuff to you I just want a way home. If I was do you think I would've done all this for you and I don't know just kidnap ya?" They all laugh and relax. Worry much?
"He is right for an alien that is suppose to foal nap us and prob us he would've beamed us up to his ship already." We all stare at Needle. "Well I've read all of those comics and story's to ya know."
Chuckling at him I say "Calm down doc. It seems our cultures are the same to an extent since we have story's of all that stuff to, besides how can I be certain you all wont do those things to me? Your aliens to me to." Thread goes to speak but Fizz beats him to it.
"Well because you saved us and I wont let anything happen to my knight in shinning armor!" She says a little to excited. She instantly blushes and tries to curl up in my arms to hide.
Leaning my head down to hers I say "Well I got the cute one on my side and my armor isn't shiny." She squeaks an adorable sound and we all laugh. "Back to the questions tho. Is there any one who can help me find a way back home?"
Needle shakes his head. "Sorry but you'll have to try with a pony who specializes in magic or science I'm just a doctor. Maybe some pony can help you out in Canterlot." Well I knew it wasn't going to be easy but hey I tried.
"Don't worry ranger the folks at Appaloosa will gladly help you out for saving us back there." Braeburn smiles at me.
"Don't forget the reward you deserve I'll have to send a letter to the princesses tho so don't go taking off so quick like I know your planning to do." Star said How did he know that I planned to leave as soon as I could. I just now came up with that idea only minutes ago. "You want to know how I know you most likely will? Its easy we get folks like you who roam around places never staying in the same spot for awhile." Well I guess what they say is true elders are always smarter than you make them out to be. But who are these princesses?
Wait is Fizz trying to say something...yes...yes she is. "Are you okay? You just are staring at me again."
I shake my head. "Sorry I just zoned out for a bit there. You wanted to ask something?"
"Yes. I asked if you had a special some pony back at home waiting for you." My mind is instantly filled with an awful vision of the first battle of Hoover Dam, bodies every where, me trying to pull an injured Ellie to safety, her telling me to leave her in the city as we retreated and finally, the town blowing up with her in it. Deep down I know none of that is real but it feels real at the same time.
Tears fall from my eyes as I darkly say "No lost her at the first battle of Hoover Dam. She got shot and if I tried to save her I would've died to." I pulled a photo out of a pocket to show them. It was of me in my armor next to a Burnett first recon sniper girl with ours backs together with rifles raised.
Fizz looks at it with a tear in her eye while the others sadly looks down. "She's beautiful. I Know it means nothing but sorry for your lost." She hugs me as we all stop so we can share in that tender moment.
"Thank you." I say as she smiles at me. But our moment has to get ruined because life hates me.
"So your single?" Asked Braeburn.
We all yell at him.

Location Appaloosa
Finally we get to the out skirts of town, it took way longer than it should of but Braeburn wouldn't stop talking and not pay attention to where we were going. Looking down at him he gives me a glare and turns around. About an hour after we shared our moment he kept hitting on me so after the twentieth time I went to kick him but since he was in front of me my kick went straight to his balls. Everyone but him laughed as he fell to the floor with Needle chasing after him to provide aid. That was another delay in the walk but it was worth it.
"Well we finally made it back even if we had some delays." Star says while he smiles at me.
"Hey I politely asked him to stop but he wouldn't. He deserved it." I respond shuffling Fizz a little. Yeah I held her the entire time. The feeling in my arms went away awhile ago so it didn't matter. As we walk back to town the townsfolk all come out of their homes and started cheering.
"They're back!" "Yeehaw the sheriffs back!" "Who's that with them?" "Finally Fizz is back now I get to get drunk again." That last one was said by a brown stallion who found himself being hit in the head by an empty water bottle thrown by Fizz.
Star steps up to the front of the group and says loudly. "Yes we are all back and its all thanks to this here ranger so don't go offending him. He is a hero after all." Hero? I wouldn't call myself that, just a soldier doing my job. I shake my head not even really that, that's another lie I just told myself. What is happening to me? My internal monologue is broken when Fizz whispers to me.
"Wolf they're waiting for you to say something." She fidgets while I look up to see a crowd of ponies staring at us.
"I'm ranger Wolf of The New California Republic. No need to thank me it's what I was trained to do." They instantly start to cheer while Braeburn whispers to Needle.
"Is he always going to greet ponies like that?" Needle just shrugs. How a pony does that? Don't ask me.
"Okay now go about your business." Star yells. Every one leaves but they don't go back into hiding. "Now to get a message to the princesses for your reward. Don't leave yet you'll get it tomorrow, so see you then." Star just walks away.
"Yes well I should hurry back to the clinic with Braeburn. No telling how many are waiting to get help. Thanks again for the saving." Thread Needle did a courtesy bow while he picked up Braeburn in his magic. I Nod back to them as they leave/levitate away.
"Fizz do you know where I can stay?" I ask her.
She points to a building. "You can stay with me at my inn for however long you need free of charge." I start to shake my head no but she cuts me off. "It's the least I can do for what you did." I put her down inside. It was a nice place like an old western style saloon that was second story.
"Your room is second to last right next to mine." She goes behind the counter and throws me they keys. Catching them I sit down at a table in the corner. She comes to sit by me but ponies start to flood in. "Shoot. What do you want to eat? Its supper time."
"Anything without hay, flowers, or grass." I reply. She nods her head and heads behind the counter to work. I reached into my pouch and take out a sunset sarsaparilla. 9 Sunset Sarsaparillas left. Using my pip boy to take off the cap, I let the cap fly into my bag. I unconnected the filters on the mask and unstrap my helmet. The helmet comes off along with the mask. Fresh air fills my lungs as I breath. Taking a sip from the bottle I lean back to watch the ponies. They are all dressed up like cowboys and cowgirls with hats and scarfs. Its feels like I stepped back in time to when the west was a blooming place.
"So there is a face underneath that mask." I hear Fizz say as she puts a bowl in front of me. "Vegetable soup I hope you like it."
"Thank you." Replying made me worry a little since my voice was deeper and more rough. My worrying is broken up by a warmness around me.
"Thanks again." Fizz says while hugging me.
I hug her back. "Your welcome but a lot of ponies are showing up. We can chat up all of tomorrow. I'm not leaving for awhile." We stop hugging so she can go back to work. Quickly eating the best soup I ever had, I pick up my gear and go to my room. The room was spartan to say the least with the things a inn would have. A bed, dresser, and a old looking bathroom. I take off my coat and armor and I'm in the games simple shirt and boxers. Going to the bathroom I look in the mirror. What stares back at me is not me as I was. Still brown hair but militarily cut, grey eyes, a little of a worn face but a strong one, and a well fit soldiers body to go with it. So I went to an average Joe to a G.I Joe great I never wanted to join the army but here I am. I quickly shower to calm my nerves than head off to bed.
Location Appaloosa
*CLANK* I'm woken up by loud noises and yelling coming from outside. I grab my revolver and run down the stairs to see whats happening. I passed by Fizz on the way.
"Wha?" She stammers out blushing while I pass by. I was still in my shirt and boxers as I run to a window. Looking outside I see a ramshackle put together wall with ponies holding makeshift weapons on it. Fizz finally snaps out of it.
"Whats going on?" She asks while shivering.
"An attack. Go back into your room. I'll get you out when its safe." We both rush up the stairs to our rooms. She shuts her door and locks it while I throw on my amour. When I get it on I head to the wall. Walking up to the wall I see the sheriff and Braeburn yelling down at someone.
"Well this here is our land and we can't do that. Lively hoods would be destroyed!" Braeburn yells. Pushing my way up passed ponies I make it up to the two party's talking.
"Whats going on?" I said loudly.
"Ranger you side with my enemies? I thank you for freeing my daughter but this is a crime!" I look to see who is talking and lo and behold its Thunderhooves with an army of buffaloes.
"Wolf they're going to attack you have to help us." Star says.
"What is this about?" I asked.
"They plant trees where our ancestral stampeding grounds are." Huffed Thunderhooves. I look at Braeburn.
"We cant cut down the trees that's how we get most of our food." Braeburn says. Tensions are high here and if history is to say anything there's going to be bloodshed. As they yell I come up with a solution.
"As I am the only one from my nation, that makes me a representative for The New California Republic. And I propose an offer." Please buy it please, I don't want to fight for a side.
"And whats that?" They both questioned.
"First lets all meet face to face." They both agree
Twenty minutes later we are all sitting at a table in the middle of the town. My helmet and mask are off as I finish writing on a piece of paper. "As a Representative from The Republic I propose that the city of Appaloosa makes a pathway through there orchard so the buffalo can run and the buffaloes to help the town." Please go for it.
They both face hooves. "Why didn't we think of that?" Braeburn and Star say.
"Tempers got the better of all of us." Thunderhoove say while he signs the paper.
"Yeah but you think one side would've said something." Braeburn says while signing. I Sign off on it to and give it to them. They shake hooves and go talk about trade.
Star approaches me. "Your reward is on the way and I'll write the princesses again about what you did to help us...again." He sighs "Boy you sure do love to work miracles don't ya?"
"I guess I do. Just glad that nothing bad happened." I grabbed my belongings and headed back to the inn.

*RUMBLE* Yes the ground is shaking. The buffaloes are stampeding. How you may ask? Some how the ponies made a pathway through the trees in only a few hours and now the buffaloes are running again. Why they do it you may ask? I tried to ask Thunderwhooves but he just said tradition and that was it. Now I'm stuck in the sheriffs office waiting for my reward, which it's just me and the Sheriff so time for some small talk.
"So Wolf are ya sure you don't want to stay and help me with protecting the town? Five thousand bits is a lot but it'll go fast. Might be useful to have bits coming in monthly." Star says as he pours himself some sort of alcohol. If I where to guess some type of bourbon but I don't really mess with alcohol.
"That's not what I do star. I'm better out in the world helping people and dealing with the worst of society. Besides, you can handle the average drunk or fight." I idly tap my foot waiting for the guard with my reward to come. I don't want it but they wouldn't let me go with out it.
Star takes a drink of his bourbon and sighs. "Your right but in all honesty, your useful to us."
I smirk under my helmet knowing I now have him beat. "Then you'll agree that I'll be useful where ever I go so might as well be useful to more people."
He takes another sip of his drink and then chuckles. "Damn son, using logic against me. How did you know it was my weakness?"
I lightly laugh with him. "Logic is every ones weakness. Some one will always point something out that goes against what we said." When we both stop laughing the door opens and in walks a white Pegasus wearing all gold armor and struggling with a bag of something.
"Sheriff *PANT* Star royal guard *HUFF* Iron Wings with the reward *PANT*" He huffs out. Now that I can get a look at him I can see he is sweating a lot and struggling with the bag.
"Breath and put the bag on the desk." Star says while we pours a glass of water for the guy.
Iron Wings throws the bag on the desk and gulps down the water. *Sigh* "Sorry had to fly directly here with no breaks. We're due for a drill and I can't miss it."
"Well sonny thank you than for getting here quick. The precipitant is more antsy than an ant." Star jokes at my extent.
Iron looks at me than says. "So your Ranger Wolf of The New California Republic?"
I nod my head at him. "Yes sir that's me." His eyes light up like the sun.
"Awesome. I wish the guards armor was more cool like yours." Iron wines and pulls out some paper. "Just sign down below and the rewards all yours." I sign the papers and he heads for the door. "I wish to stay and talk but I have to hurry." He starts to fly away. "Look me up if your ever in Canterlot!" He loudly says as he flew away.
I open the bag to see the bits. They are gold coins with numbers on them, so pretty much like the NCR dollar but in coin form. I blankly stare after what I just thought. Why did I compare it to that and not actual U.S money? My deep thought is broken when I hear a chair slide.
"Well I have to get back to work suppose this is good bye for now." Star says as he reaches a hoof over for a shake.
I shake his hoof. "I'll stroll threw here again don't worry." I stand up and head outside with him. When we both get outside we part ways while waving. Looking at the main street, Fizz's Inn is across the street next to a trader, some houses, Needles place, a bakery and more stores. I head to the traders shop and walk in.
As I enter some one says. "I'll be with you in a minute, just cleaning up the stuff that fell off the shelves when the running started." The voice was that of a males. Looking around I see what I was looking for a sleeping bag. I grab it and walk to the counter. A grey earth pony with white hair and tail walks to the counter talks, "Welcome to Trader Goods. You can call me Goods and what can I." He trails off before continuing. "Wait your that Wolf guy right?" I nod my head. "Well than you get a discount and don't try to talk your way out of it like I hear ponies say."
I sigh. "Just a sleeping bag for on the move and if you have anything that can last awhile It'd be much appreciated." He turns around and grabs some jerky thing and what I can only assume is some hardtack. He puts them on the counter in front of me.
"All we have is vegetable jerky and these darn bread cracker things that last awhile but are just plain awful."
"How long would this last me?" I asked him.
"Well if a pony rations it a month but you aren't a pony so maybe half a month. Sorry wish I had more but we grow most of our food here and don't get big companies setting up shop since this town is fairly new." Goods replied. I open up the pouch with the bits in it to pay but he stops me. "Wait. Before we conclude this transaction I think I have some dried fruit." He hurry's off to the back where I can here items being moved and him mumbling. about two minutes later he comes back with a few bags of dried fruit. "Well Here we go so we got Three bags of jerky and dried mixed fruit and two cases of No Teeth Crackers. Plus that sleeping bag. That'll be fifty bits."
I put a hundred bits down. "Here and keep the change. I like to help any way I can."
He smiles up at me. "Thanks but you need something to hold it all in. Here take this." He brings up a medium size square backpack thing with straps. "Was a saddle bag but the other side fell off but with the way it is now, it'll be a perfect fit you can carry on your back." He loads the items I bought into the bag.
Once he is done loading the bag I take it and are about to step out when I realized I needed something else. "One last thing do you have a map I can look at." He ducks behind the counter while I walk back over to him.
"Here ya go." He says as he unfurls the map. Looking down at it, the nearest town is one called Ponyville up north. I look at my pip boy and see that it got marked on there to. Don't know how this thing does stuff like this but it is helpful.
"Thank you." I said as a walked back outside. One last thing I have to do before I go. I walk down the street to the Inn and as i walk ponies wave to me. I waved back. As I reached the Inn there was a lot of activity, ponies talking and chatting while Fizz runs around taking care of their needs. while she was busy I sneaked up the stairs to her room. I walked over to her night stand and put a thousand bits in it and lock it up with her key she had on top of it. I go to her desk and grab a piece of paper and a pencil and write a note. The note said,
This is some of my reward money and by the time you see and read this I'll be gone. Thank you for being my first friend in this world and till we meet again. Signed Ranger Wolf.
After I finished writing I walked down stairs to talk to her. When I got down stairs she was behind the counter. "Fizz you got a minute?"
"O, Wolf yeah sure. We'll talk in the kitchen." I follow her into the kitchen. "What do you want to talk about?" She asked.
I take off my helmet and kneel down to her level. "I'm about to head out and well have to say good bye to my favorite Inn keeper."
She gasps and hugs me. "Really? You cant stay?" She sniffles out as she nuzzles her head into my neck.
I hug her back and gently start petting her. One thing I learned about ponies is that they are very affectionate and love to be petted, which is fine since they're so soft. "Yeah I got to go. It's what rangers do we roam around helping."
She sniffles and breaks the hug. "So I won't see you again?" she sadly asks.
"Hey I'll be back don't worry." I reassured her.
"Wait here than I have something for you." She hurries off somewhere while I stand up and put my helmet back on. She comes back a second later holding a bottle. She hands me the bottle. "Here Sunny's Sunrise Sarsaparilla. I saw you drinking yours the other day and thought, he must not have many of them so why not give him the best brand we have. And well this one always sells out so yeah." I take it and motion for her to follow me outside. When he reached outside she got onto her back legs and hugged me. When we break away she says. "Since you are going stay safe please. After all you did for me I wish I could get you to stay.
"You don't owe me anything. And good bye fizz." I wave to her as I walk away down the street out of town. I passed by Needles place and saw him with braeburn so I wasn't going to say bye to him. Walking out of town towards Ponnyville I can only think what will happen now and get ready for the worst.

Location Road North
Time 6:36 P.M.
I've been walking for awhile now and the sun is going down. The map the trader showed me made it seem like ponyville was about half a days walk but looking at my pip boy's map it'll be a three day walk. So now I'm in the process of deciding if I should stay for the night or to keep going. I have night vision so going on is an option. Stopping I take a moment to look around me. The desert opened up into some plains awhile back making for a nice change in scenery and weather. "So downside if I stop for the night there are only a few trees to use for shelter and with plains the weather changes quick." I said out loud. People say talking to yourself isn't a good thing but voicing your thoughts even if it's only you, helps in making decisions or hyping yourself up. Looking up there are some dark clouds in the distance sky. Lucky me the dirt road goes straight into the possible storm. I was never good with anything weather related since I grew up in southern California where it didn't rain all to much. "I'll wing it and travel through the night. Just will eat a little and go." I put the backpack down and sit by while taking off my helmet. I pulled out the food and the drink Fizz gave to me. "Eating will hopefully give me enough strength to last for awhile."
Location Road North
Time 11:13 P.M.
I had to stop again and stop myself from shaking from the sugar high I have right now. Turns out Sunny's Sunrise Sarsaparilla had way to much sugar in it. How ponies drink this? I do not know but being jittery is not fun. It wasn't all that bad though, just a sugary root beer drink that kids would like way more. Once I get myself to calm down I take a look at my surroundings. Thankfully the clouds have moved to the right of the dirt road into some evil looking forest that keeps getting closer to the road the further down it goes. My guess is that it'll parallel the road coming up. The forest is still good enough distance away but you can't help but get a foreboding felling just looking at it. The best way to describe it is like from a movie or show that they tried to make the forest way more scary by making it to dark with the mist and everything. Doesn't matter now I found a good place to sleep for the night under a nice big tree.
Time 7:21 A.M.
I woke about two hours, Ate and drank half of one of my waters. I realized I should've bought a canteen back at the traders but I was in to of a hurry to go so, go me. Also I was right about the forest, it is not to far away paralleling the road about a few yards. Looking into it just screams you'll die in here. You can only see about Six feet in before it starts getting dark. "A least it's not raining." I said trying my best to imitate Preston Garvey. Yeah never doing that again. I aimlessly keep walking as I think about what is going on with my life. "Your a ranger but not a ranger. You have memories that you know are not yours but they are. Your old ones are slowly going away and getting replaced by different ones." God even my parents have been changed to something they weren't. Looking up ahead I see a bad sign. There's a fork in the road with one way going straight and the other one into the forest. But what has me most worried is the tipped over cart with a bloody yellow earth pony by it. I ran over to the pony as fast as I could and knelt down felling for any sign of life.
The pony weakly opened his eyes and said "Plll-pllls please helllp my fillly *Cough* timber wolves chased her to the forest." I nod at him before he closes his eyes and goes limp. I gently put him down before running into the forest.
As I ran down the path I started to here noises like growling and barking. After running for a good three minutes I finally found the source. I had to do a double take at what I was looking at. Giant Wolves made out of wood with glowing green eyes and sharp teeth to tear you to shreds that where circling a tree and would bark and tree to get up the tree . Now I thought timber wolves where just giant wolves not something that came from Harry Potter. "Daddy help me!" That voice came from up on the tree and on top of that tree was the ponies filly. A tan Pegasus with a teal mane and tail. I walk out into the clearing with my revolver out. It gets all quite with every one looking at me.
"Ok here's the deal, leave and I wont use you as fire wood." Taunting them seems to work as now they all slowly approach me growling. Getting a better look at them I can see that there are six and one of them is huge. The huge one approaches me first almost with a smug grin on his face. He gets right up into my face and leans down so we are looking eye to eye. "Like I said leave." They all laugh and snort after I said that but what they didn't know is that I slowly pointed my revolver up. When he gets done laughing the big one opens his mouth to eat me but that's when I pulled the trigger. *BANG* Splinters fly everywhere as his head explodes and his body crumples into a pile. As soon as he went down the others advanced on me. I entered Vats and selected all there heads. I shot fives times and four of them got there heads exploded. My eyes open wide as I realized I missed a shot. Next thing I knew I was on the ground with a heavy weight onto of me. The last one jumped me and now is about to bite down on me. I struggled and tried to reach for the gun but he stepped on my arm stopping my arm from reaching it. His mouth is close to my neck when and right when he was about to finish me off he is suddenly whacked by something.
"Take that you meany!" The filly Shouted triumphantly from the tree. The timber wolf was staggered back by whatever she threw giving me enough time to roll over to my gun. The wolf got his bearings and jumped at me again. *BANG* I got the shot off when he was in mid air making him explode over me. It goes quite again as I slowly get up and reload my revolver.
"Are you okay up there? And thanks for the save." I say approaching the tree.
"Are they gone?" she softly replied.
"Yes but we need to get out of here before more show up." I see her beautiful teal eyes matching her mane and tail looking down at me. "Are you hurt?" I asked her again she just shake her head. "Well like I said we need to go."
"Can you catch me I cant fly so well." she said while she opened her wings. I reached my arms up as she glides down to me catching her as she gets close. "Thank you. Where is my dad?" she asked.
My heart aches as she looks up to me. Looking down at her beautiful teal eyes I can't work up the courage to tell her. "I'll tell you when we get out of the forest." She just nods her head as I walk while holding her. "Whats your name?" I ask her.
"Misty Dew. Whats yours and thanks for saving me." she replied.
"Ranger Wolf of the...just call me Wolf." I find the path leading out and follow it back.
"But you don't look like a wolf." She looks up into my visor.
"It's not my real name but it's complicated Misty I think your to young to here the story."
She pouts and whines "But I'm seven!"
My heart shatters as she says that. "That's still to young. Where is your mother, how come she isn't with you and your dad?"
Misty sadly sighs "She passed away not to long ago." We reach the fork and before we reach the cart I set her down a kneel to her level while I take off my helmet.
I look into her eyes as she looks into mine. "Misty before we go back to the cart I need you to be prepped." She tilts her head. "I'm sorry but your dad didn't survive his wounds." She instantly tears up and tries to run to the cart but I grab her before she makes it. She squirms in my arms.
"Let me go!!" She shouts at me while still struggling to get free.
I hold her tighter and closer while I pet her mane "Shhh shhh I can't let you see him like how he is. No child should see their parent like this, just wait please I'll let you see him just not like this." She stops struggling and just cries. I set her down while she just stares at the ground crying. Walking over to her dad I look into the cart to see a red sheet. I grab the sheet and drape it over her dad. I gently pick him up and bring him out of the mess of his blood pole and lay him down by misty.
"DADDY!!!" She cries as she puts her head down on his chest. Looking at the scene there is only one thing a can really do. I walk over to the cart and get a shovel. Once I get the shovel I walk under a tree that was near by and started to dig. I dug about for an hour occasionally looking up at Misty checking up on her. She's run out of tears by now and and is just staring at him. Scooping the dirt out of the hole I'm happy that it's deep enough and set the shovel down. I walked back over to her and knelt by her.
"Come one Misty it's time." I gently pick up her dad and walk over to the grave. She follows me and I gently lay him in it and start putting the dirt back in. She carves his name into the cross I put for him. After he is buried I nod my head in respect and leave Misty some time alone. Walking over to the cart I flip it back over and put the contents back. The cart survived somehow and it's small enough I can pull it which gives me an idea. I walk over to Misty and kneel down next to her. "Misty I'm sorry this happened but you can't stay here. I'll take care of you." I hold my arms out to her as she runs and hugs me. she starts crying again as I pick here up and walk back to the cart.
"Thank you." She sniffles out as I put her on to a blanket in the cart. I walk to the front of the cart and start to pull it forward. Its really light.
Looking back to her I say again. "Don't worry Misty Dew I'll take care of you."

More Talking Less Walking
Location Road North
It has been quiet since we buried Misty's dad. Looking up at the sun, I can see it is about to go down. Normally I would walk through out the night so I can reach Ponyville in the morning but since I now have someone else to care for, it'll be better to talk to her about it. I fidget with the handles on the cart every once in a awhile so I can take glances at Misty. Looking back at her this time reveals her in the same position, on a blanket staring down even with her wings dropped down to her side. My heart hurts seeing her like this but I don't know what to say to her. As I was about to say something but her stomach rumbles. I pull the cart to the side of the road.
"Hungry?" I asked her. she just blushes and nods her head. I take off my back pack and put it on the cart. "Well I don't have much of a variety on me." I pull out the vegetable jerky and dried fruit. "Sorry this is all I have." I offer them to her.
She looks at me and than shakes her head. "Why don't you take the food from the cart?" I look at her and than at the goods in the cart. Pots, pans, Vegetables,bread, spices,a lot potatoes, blankets, cooking ware,tools, and really most of the things you need on the road.
I shake my head no at her. "It's all your stuff now due to the current stances." She winces as I say that. "I wouldn't feel right using any of it." I get up and sit down on the cart with her. She shifts her wings in more so we can both sit on the cart.
"Well you said you would take care of me right?" I nod my head at her. "Then you can use the stuff on the cart." She smiles up at me.
I gently pet her head as thanks. She nuzzles into my chest as I still continue to pet her. Huh ponies like to be petted it seems since Fizz liked it when I petted her to. Possible to use this in my advantage? Maybe but more test wouldn't hurt. I stop petting her and get off the cart. I walk to the side of the cart to get an axe as I talk to her. "Okay I'll see if I can cook something up for you." I get the axe and start walking over to a tree not to far away. "Help yourself to the dried fruit. I'm sick of it by now." I said loudly as I walked away. As I get to the tree I look back to Misty to see her eating the fruit like crazy. I chuckle to myself and get to work chopping some branches down.
6:03 P.M.
I grab the last of the fire wood and head back to the cart. Seems Misty was still snacking on the fruit. I put some of the wood down to get a base to build the fire. One problem I forgot is how do I get it started? As I was pondering what to do a tan furry leg fills my vision.
"Um here I see my dad use this sometimes to start a fire." I Look at what she is holding. It's some small gadget that creates a spark.
"Thank you" I take it and use it on the leaves I picked up. After some turns of the wheel I get a fire started. "And there we go." I say as Misty stamps her hooves in a cheer. Going along with it I get up and bow to her. "One fire madam." She just giggles. I get a pot from the cart and fill it with water and start cutting up vegetables. No idea what I'm doing but I saw this on a video before. Once i get done cutting I put them into the pot and set it on the fire with its lid. Misty walk to the edge of the cart and looks down to me.
"What are you making?" She asks.
"Hopefully a stew. If it works out than we have food for lunch tomorrow." She gives me a look of dread. "Sorry the only cooking I have really ever done was putting it over a fire and eating it that way. I did see pancake mix in the cart so I'll cook you up some flapjacks for breakfast."
Misty sits by the edge of the cart. "I like pancakes but what is a flapjack?" She asked me.
"You see that pan over there." I point to a decent size pan. Misty looks at it than nods her head. "Size of the pan and fluffy.
Her eyes go wide "That's huge!" She cutely exclaims. I look to see that the pot is boiling so I guess going well. As I was starring at the pot Misty lightly taps my shoulder. I look up at her. She blushes and turns her head away. "What are you exactly?" She quietly says.
"A human as my species calls itself. Apparently evolved from a common ancestor as the monkey or If your religious, put on earth by a god."
She nods her head. "Are you a guard? You wear armor and saved me like a guard would."
"Well I am what my people call a veteran ranger. An elite soldier for my country." I go back to starring at the pot. "My job is to help any one innocent."
Misty hugs the back of my helmeted head. "So a hero than."
"Sure" I replied. Am I a hero? I did save people from slavery, stopped a war, and rescued Misty. I turn around and stare into her teal eyes. No I'm not. Just a ranger doing his job. "And not even that really" Goes off in the back of my mind. I shake my head and decide to talk to Misty so I don't have to think about it. "What where you and your father doing out here any way?"
Misty sighs and lays her head down. "Dad was going to try to sell his potatoes to a town but we didn't make it there." I sit by her and gently pet her. "We grow potatoes back at the farm and dad said he wanted to 'expand the market' whatever that means." She relaxes as I continue to pet her.
"Where is the farm at." I ask her.
"Some where outside a city called Manehatten." These damn puns are starting to get annoying.
"Do you have any family members? I know I said I would take care of you but I can't just keep you." She looks rejected as I say that.
"None that I know of. Dad said we where far from our family." Great so she'll be orphaned for awhile. I smell the stew so I grab a bowl and pour some soup into it for her. I get a spoon and hand her the bowl.
"Here it seems like its good to eat. Be careful its hot." She takes a spoonful and blows on it. She then chews on it happily. Well hey it worked out go me.
"Yum it's good." She digs in rather quickly. It takes her a good five minutes to finish. "Aren't you going to eat?" She questioned me.
"Not hungry maybe later." I pick up the pot and put it back onto the cart. Then I grab her bowl and wash it out. As I was cleaning up she talks to me.
"Do you have any family?" She asks me. I try to reply but my memories of my parents change to a father that was a ranger and a mom that was a stay at home mom. Then sadness and not so good memories.
I sadly say "I did but my parents passed away and so did my wife."
"I'm sorry to bring it up." She quietly says.
I walk to her and go back to petting her. "Its okay. I moved passed it and so will you one day. You have your whole life in front of you. And I'd like to say your parents would want you to live it happily." She gets a small smile as we both stare at the fire. About an hour passes before anything is said. The sun is gone and the stars are out as I still sit petting her.
*Yawn* She cutely yawns as I grab another blanket and wrap it around her. "No I don't wanna go to bed." She tries to say but it comes out tiredly.
"You should get some rest. You've had a huge day." She closes here eyes and rests her head down onto a pillow I got from the cart. It's not long before she falls asleep. I gently get up and kick the fire out. Looking back at her to see if she is still asleep conforms it. I walk to the front of the cart and start to pull it. So if I keep walking we'll be in ponyville by late morning. I look back at her. She sleeps soundly all snuggled up with her teal hair in her face. "I've gotten attached to her but I have to go to the authorities." I say to myself. I look at my reward money. Thoughts of a house flash into my mind and a tan blur happily running around. I shake my head. No I can't I have to go home and even than if I couldn't go home I can't just be father. What is going on with my life right now. I get transported to some world turn into someone else, and now I want to be a father?! I'm only twenty three and a soldier to top it all off. I smack my helmet. "Calm down just calm down. I need to focus on getting her to safety than I can break down." I quietly whispered to myself. Looking up at the stars I calm down. Well i don't know whats in store for me in the future but I'll deal with it.

Well next chapter will be in town so yay. I'll be gone for a week so another chapter maybe in a week and a half.
Location Ponyville
Time 7:02 A.M
Walking through the night turned out to be a stupid idea, sure I'm now at a hill overlooking Ponyville but I'm now exhausted. I sit down with my back against the cart and look at the town. The town is a decent size for a little cottage village you would see in Europe along time ago minus the really bright colors and way less pink. Not to many ponies walking about yet except ponies that work at stalls that are down a street leading towards the middle of town with a water fountain. I lay forward onto my belly and unsling my rifle so I can use the scope. I need binoculars now so I'm not always pointing a gun at some one. Yeah the list of items I need keeps growing bigger and bigger, hell might as well ad a house to that list since I'm going to have a lot of stuff. God I hope I don't become a pack rat. Looking through the scope let's me get more detail of what the town looks like. Really all it did was make my brain hurt. There's a huge tree close to the center of town that has windows and a door. So some one lives in a tree, I'm avoiding them than since people who live in trees are either hippies or some one that is evil. But what really blows my mind is the house made out of I assume ginger bread. Just why just why. Wait the door just opened. A pink pony with a poofy mane and tail walks out and shudders. I stare at her shuddering than all of a sudden she stops and turns toward my direction with a huge smile and waves. I stop staring at her through the scope to see how far away she is. Yeah she's just a dot, how does she see me? *Yawn* I stare at the cart where the yawn came from. So I get up to go greet Misty.
"Good morning Misty." I say as I walked to the front of the cart to get the left over firewood.
Misty slowly opens her eyes. "Morning Wolf." *Yawn* She yawns again while I set up to start cooking. She suddenly looks around confused. "Where are we? Did we move?" She looks at me.
"Yeah I walked through out the night to get here." I start a fire and start shaking up the pancake mix.
"Why would you do that? Aren't you tired?" She gets up and walks to the front of the cart.
"Because I'm stupid and thought I'd be fine, but yesterday was a very taxing day." I put a pan on the fire and pour the mix onto it. There is a sudden thud against the side of my helmet.
"Don't say things like that!" Misty shakes her head at me and does a serious face. Its just to cute to be taken seriously. I boop her on the noose. Her face scrunches up and she swats her hove at my hand. "Hey don't do that!" She retorts back,
"Misty can you get a plate, this flap jack is almost done." I ask her as I take the pan off the fire. She gets a plate and I put the huge pancake on it. She stares at it in awe. Looks like a found another of her weakness beside being petted. She digs in into like a savage animal. I back up as pancake crumbs start flying. I turn around and kick out the fire and wash the pan out.
"How come you aren't eating to?" I turn around and see Misty staring at me. I walk up to her and brush some crumbs off her muzzle.
"I snacked through out the night. I'm just tired but I wont sleep until I get you into safety." I take her plate and wash it up to. "Speaking of that I'll have to give you over to the right authority's when we get into town."
"But you said you would take care of me." She starts to sniffle. I dry off the plates and walk over to her. When I get to her I start to pet her to calm her down.
"Hey I will but, I can't just keep you. The government needs to know of what happened and needs to deal with the situation to." I stop petting her and start to pull the cart.
"But what will happen to me?" She softly asks still a little sad.
"You'll most likely go to an orphanage but I'll still be with you even if you do go to a new family." I look back at her. "Believe me Misty if I could I would take you in as my own but all I have is my gear and about three thousand bits."
"So I'll still see you?" She questions me.
"Yes as long as you wish to see me I'll still check up on you." I answered back as we continue on to the town in silence.
Time 8:13 A.M
We arrive at the town to see that more ponies have woken up. As we enter they all stop and stare at me for a moment. Feeling nervous I just wave to them as friendly I could make it seem while I tense up. They wave back and smile and continue about there day. What was that all about? I continue through the town to the market stalls and approach a orange pony in a cowboy hat selling apples. I walk up to her.
"Howdy there partner would you like to by some apples?" She kindly smile up to me.
"Maybe later ma'am. I'm looking for the authorities. I saved Misty Dew here from some wooden wolves but they got her father." I point at Misty who shrinks back into the cart.
Her face pales. "Shucks I'm sorry Misty. Here I'll take you to the police. There right this way." She puts up a closed sign and leaves from behind her counter.
"Ma'am you don't have to do that." She holds up her hove to stop me from talking.
"Its alright Its going to be a slow day any way. I'm Applejack by the way and your outfit sure seems similar from some where." I follow her as she walks down the street.
"Ranger Wolf and you wouldn't happen to know of a Breaburn would you?" I ask her as we get to the station.
Her eyes light up with recognition. "That was you than? He wrote about you saving the town, so thanks for that." I nod my head at her as I walk inside.
"Come on Misty." I wave her to follow and she gets up to follow.
"Come by the farm outside of town we can talk more there." Applejack says as we get inside. Inside is just a small police station with an cream mare in a police uniform that has a red mane manning the counter.
The mares eyes light up when we approach her. "Are you that Wolf pony who saved Appaloosa?" Her name on her tag was Rosy Law.
"Yes ma'am but I here on an important issue." She gives me her attention. I point down to Misty. "Her father and her where traveling when they got attacked by wooden wolves. I was able to save her but not the father." I sadly say.
Rosy's eyes light up like dinner plates and comes out from the counter to get onto Misty's level. "Is this true little one?"
Misty starts bawling. "Yes the timberwovles got my dad and where about to get me when but Wolf saved me." Misty keeps crying while the mare stands up.
"OFFICER SPRINKLES GET IN HERE WE HAVE A PROBLEM!!" Rosy yells and a door opens and out rushes another police mare. She was brown with a chocolate mane and the minute she saw Misty she ran up to her and hugged her. "Take her over there so I can talk to Wolf please." She shake her head and brings Misty to a couch and tries to comfort her.
"What happens now?" I ask her.
Rosy sighs. "We'll take her to ponyville orphanage under Tender Care until we can find her file from the government and decide from there. What was the fathers name?" Law asks me.
"Tater Tot. He was a potato farmer." I reply back.
"Okay well Can you sign out a statement and we'll start the process of getting this sorted out." She goes behind the counter and starts writing a report. Five minutes later she hand it to me to sign. I look over to Misty after I sign it.
"Can I be updated on what happens to her?" I ask law.
Rosy sadly smile at me. "Of course you can. Come back tomorrow afternoon we'll have something by then, but I hate to say it but say good bye for now code says we have to get her to the hospital as quick as we can."
I nod my head and walk over to Misty and kneel down to her level. "I guess this is good bye for now." She hugs me and I hug her back.
"I'll see you again right?" She sniffles out.
I end the hugs and stand up. "Of course. Take care of her please."
"We will." Sprinkles says as she puts Misty on her back and walks away with law to the hospital.
As they walk away Misty says one last thing. "Thank you Wolf for saving me. your my hero!" My softly cry and walk out the police station and start to walk out of town. I silently cry to myself as I reach the outskirts. Calm down Wolf if you want to do what your thinking of you need a plan. I pull out my bit bag and stare at it.
"You know what screw it. My old life is slowly going away and is being replaced but today I make it my own again!" I stand up and start planning out what to do. No matter what happens I made a Promise to Misty and I'll keep it as long as I breath.

Time 10:10 A.M.
So much for working on that plan now that I have gotten myself lost. I don't know how I managed to pull it off since it was a straight shot through the market, then left, left, right, or was it left, right,right. Next time I wont take directions from someone with their mouth full. God, things where a lot easier in the Mojave. Just simple towns or spaced out collapsed buildings. I stop and shake my head. "No the world wasn't messed up when I came here." I said to myself while ponies just stared at me for talking. Good thing my helmet makes it hard to hear me sometimes. The ponies must think I'm crazy. As I turn a corner I end up back at the middle of the town. I stop to take a look around. The fountains in the middle and that tree house is nearby. I sit down on the side of the fountain to try and get my bearings again.
"Hiya!" I jumped a bit when my vision was suddenly filled with a pink face and blue eyes. "I'm Pinkie Pie and I saw you starring earlier this morning and I wanted to say Hi but I had to get more sugar so I could bake and..." I ignore her as she keeps rambling on. Looking at her I can tell she is the pink mare from this morning, Poofy mane and tail, with balloons for her cutie mark.
"Ma'am can you slow down a bit all I really got from you talking was that your Pinkie Pie." She stops and takes a breath.
"Sorry I really like meeting new ponies." She smiles at me. "So whats your name?"
"Ranger Wolf of the New California Republic." She just tilts her head and stares at me.
"So what do I call you New, Republic or...." I cut her rambling off again.
"The name is Wolf, I'm a soldier of the New California republic, and ranger is what branch I serve in." I tell her.
"So Wolfy it is then." She proudly smiles.
"No wait its not...never mind." I thought about bringing up the nickname but decided against it.
*GASP* "I have to plan Your Welcome To Ponyville Party!!!" Pinkie shouted.
"Ma'am with all due respect thank you but I'm to busy right now." I shake my head at her.
She deflates a little. "Okay maybe later in the week than. What are you busy with?"
"I need to buy a house or something so I have a place to keep supplies and such." I tell her.
"Sorry but the town hall is closed for a few days since the roof collapsed." Pinkie informs me.
"How did that happen?" I asked her.
"A mean evil black snooty mare crashed the summer sun celebration and caused some damage when the guards tried to fight her." Pinkie replied back.
"What?" Is all I could say before she continued on.
"Yeah she was all like 'MUHAAAAH I SHALL PLUNGE THE WORLD INTO INTERNAL DARKNESS FOREVER' but then me and my friends friendshiped her and now she lives happily ever after with her sister." Pinkie finished her story. Okay that was a lot to take in if she is telling the truth if she's lying, than high tail it back to the police and get her locked up. And darn what will I do now since I can't get shelter? Maybe Applejack will help out?
"Do you know how to get to Applejack's farm?" I asked Pinkie.
She nods her head yes and says. "Yes she is one of my best friends and she lives right out of town follow me!!." She starts bouncing down the road as I scramble to keep up with her. Okay this lady is so weird. She's defiantly up there with the crazy's I have met in my time as a ranger patrolling the wastes. She's still bellow those damn people who worship a radiation god and try to spread it to others. I don't care, I kill those bastards on site they don't get to live. My eyes widen when I finished thinking. The hell was that!!! I was never violent before or was fine with killing people. I start getting brief flashes of me killing raiders and legion. Then me killing a group of unarmed children of atom in a church. I grunt as I lean against a house's wall for support. Pinkie stops and walks up to me. "Wolf are you okay?"
I shake my head to clear my mind and reply. "Just some old memories coming up all of a sudden." She stares at me worriedly.
"Here there's a bench nearby we could sit at for a while." She starts leading me to bench but I shake my head at her.
"I'm fine just need a second to calm..." I"m cut off as someone shouts.
"PINKIE LOOK OUT!!! I'LL SAVE YOU!!" I look to see where the voice came from to see that it belonged to a teal rainbow maned pegasus diving right for me. My instincts kick in as I prepare to move out of the way. She's just a few feet away.
"NO DASH WAIT!!!" Pinkie tried in vain to warn her as she gets close.
"STAY AWAY FROM HER YOU MONSTER!!!!" Dash yells at me. Time slows down and right when she was about to hit me I sidestepped her at the last second and grabbed her back leg. Her face lit up with surprise as I threw her on her back. Dash grunts as she hits the ground and in a second I'm on top of her with my gun next to her head.
"You move you die." I threaten her. Dash gulps and I feel a wetness start to soak my pants. It all goes silent as ponies stare at us. I cock the hammer back.
"Wait Wolf don't do it she's dumb!" Pinkie yells as she stands right next to us. I stare at Dash and the look of utter fear is on her face. My rage is gone as a stare at her and I get up. I go to say something but Pinkie beats me to it. "Dash you just attacked a soldier!!!" Pinkie yells at her and stands her up.
"I just...just thought he was a monster." Dash reply's shaking. I go to say some thing but just when I was about to speak a lavender unicorn with purple hair and a star cutie mark comes running up.
"O no no no no! Dash what did you do! You could've just started a war!" The mare starts to pace back and forth "We'll have to tell the princess and hide you right away. Just what where you thinking?!" She yells at dash. The crowd that has gathered starts to panic a little and start saying things like. 'We can't handle a war.' Gather the foals and run!' 'Where all doomed!"
"I just wanted to save Pinkie." I heard Dash whimper out. The mare goes to say something but I had enough.
"ENOUGH!!" I yell and stomp my foot down. Every one looks at me. "There isn't going to be a war. Just every one calm down!" The crowd goes silent. I look at Dash. "What the hell is your problem lady attacking someone." I step towards Dash but Pinkie steps in between us.
"Okay okay Dash just say your sorry and we all be happy." Pinkie smiles.
Dash frighteningly looks at me. "Sorry." She says as she flies away.
"Christ that could have gone better." I say to myself as pinkie walks up to the purple mare.
"Where did you come from Twilight?" Pinkie asks her. I look around as the crowd still stares. I can't help but to shake as the adrenaline starts to wear off.
"I saw you walking around with the hero of Appaloosa and wanted to talk to him but I saw him lean against the wall and came to help." Twilight responds. Pinkie goes to talk but this time I'm interrupting her.
"Pinkie can we go now all this excitement is getting to me." They both look at me to see that I'm shaking.
Twilight's eyes widen as she talks. "We can go to my home where it's quite." I just nod at her as she whispers something to Pinkie. Pinkie salutes and takes off. "Come on It's just a short walk this way." I follow Twilight as she walks down the road. I look back to see the crowd clearing and can't help but to shake a little more in knowing that I was about to kill that pony.

Time 10:33 A.M.
Our walk to Twilight's house was spent in quiet. I was still calming down after my confrontation with that mare and how I almost just killed someone that didn't deserve it. If post traumatic stress disorder is going to be a problem in my life now, I have no idea what to do. I look up to where we are going and it's that tree house thing. I've caught Twilight sneaking worried glances at me from time to time. I paid her no mind about since I understand her concern. We approach the front door to the house and Twilight opens it up.
"Spike! I'm home." Twilight said as she stepped inside and motioned for me to come in. Walking in it doesn't look like a home but more of a library. I can see a couch and coffee table in the middle with stairs off to the side and another room that goes off to somewhere. "Spike I have some pony...well different with me. So please don't panic." Twilight says as I turn around and close the door.
"Why would I freak out about some pony?" I hear a young boy's voice behind me. Turning around the blood drains from me as I see a purple and green gecko. My hand instantly reaches down onto the handle of my revolver as we both stare at each other silently. "uhh. Hi I'm Spike what's your name?" He waves at me and Twilight realizes that I'm tensed and speaks up.
"Don't worry Spike may be a dragon but hes a friendly one and my number one assistant." She beams up at me. I shake my head and relax.
"Sorry about that. You remind me of the geckos back home." He nods while Twilight gets a curios look about her.
"Geckos?" Spike asked me.
"Yeah. They've been mutated by radiation and are about the same size as you. Even walk upright like you. Some can even shoot fire out of there mouths." His eyes widen at that fact and he gets a little worried. I glance at Twilight to see her writing this down for some reason. Where she got the notepad from I don't know but her writing this down has me worried.
"Are they dangerous?" Spike asked me shaking. Kids guess they're the same no matter what type of creature they are.
"Very. Can outrun most people and are omnivores, so they eat anything they can." He looks more worried now. better put his mind at ease. "Don't worry though. they're only common back home and even then they are mostly in the west." Spike calms down now and wipes the sweat off his forehead.
"Phew I'm still a baby dragon and can't run very fast. You still haven't told me your name still." Spike says. I go to reply but Twilight beats me to it. I have a feeling being interrupted is going to be the norm now.
"Right proper introductions, We can go over it with some drinks." Me and Spike follow her to the room at the back. It's a decent sized kitchen with a fridge,sink,oven and table. I sit down at the table with Twilight while Spike starts getting us glasses of water. "So like I said proper introductions are in order." Twilight clears her throat. "I'm Twilight Sparkle. And that's Spike." She points a hoof at Spike as he sets the glasses of water down by us.
I nod at Spike and speak. "I'm Ranger Wolf of the New California Republic."
"Or as I like to say Wolfy!" Pinkie pops out of nowhere and we all jumped as she made her sudden entrance.
"PINKIE!" Twilight yells as she gets over her adrenaline. "I told you to go get the girls." Pinkie pulls a chair out of thin air and sits right next to me.
"I did and they are on the way. I just hurried back so I didn't miss anything about my new friend." Pinkie's face get serious as she looks at me. "You didn't say anything about yourself right?" She stares at me like a drill instructor would.
I can't help but gulp. "No Ma'am!" I said sharply.
Pinkie stares me up and down than gets a big smile on her face again. "Good. Because the rest are about to be here." Just then the door opens up and I can here more voices.
"Why in the tarnation are we here again for?" That sounded like Applejack.
"Because darling Pinkie said she needed us all here to help 'this Wofly pony' and Dash make friends." That voice sounded very posh.
"Girls! We're in the kitchen." Twilight said as I hear them come in. As they walk in I instantly recognizes Applejack and Dash but the other two I don't know. One was a pure white unicorn with purple curled hair and gems for a cutie mark and the other one was a yellow Pegasus with long pink hair and pink butterflys for her cutie mark. She hides behind Applejack the minute she see me.
"Well howdy there again ranger guess that was you who caused that ruckus back in town?" I nod my head and see Dash flinch when I look her way. I sigh and walk to her. She flinches back even more when I reach her. I kneel down to her level as every one stares at us.
"Listen." Dash looks at me while I talk to her. "I'm sorry about what I did. I was having a bad flashback when you attacked me and wasn't thinking straight." She calms down as I apologize. I'm a man and part of being a man is acting like one and acknowledging what you did wrong. Dash looks at me for a while then sighs.
"Yeah I'm sorry for attacking you in the first place. Cool?" She holds her hoof out in front of me while I fist bump it.
"Cool." Next thing I know me and her are face to face and are being squeezed.
"YAY! Friendship!" I hear Pinkie yell right next to our heads as me and Dash start to gasp for air. As me and Dash get our life forced squeezed out of us we look at each other and say our final words.
"Nice meeting you." Dash gasped out.
"Like wise." I replied back as all of a sudden I fall back words with Dash on top of me. Air flows to our lungs as we gasp for it.
"PINKIE!" We hear the girls yell at her. As we lay there gasping for air the yellow pony walks to us.
"Are you two okay?" She asked.
"Yeah Flutters I'm fine" Dash said between breaths. She looks at me.
"I'm fine to Ma'am." I say back to her as Dash and me get up. As we get up I can't help but to poke fun at Dash. "Jeez Dash not even been out on a date and your already on top of me." The room goes silent as I crack that joke. Dash blushes but quickly calms down and retorts.
"Hey as I recall you were the one on top first when we meet." I chuckle at that.
"Nice come back." We both laugh and the others just stare at us like we're crazy.
Twilight looks like she's about to explode. "What?" She asked.
"Hey we just survived a near death experience with each other." I reply while Dash finishes it.
"Yep and now we have that bond forever." Dash says while we hoof/fist bump. We all start laughing at how confused Twilight was. She walks back to the table and hits her head against it and groans.
"Well now that's out of the way I'm Rarity dear." The white unicorn says as we stop laughing.
I give a little bow to her as I greet her. "Pleasure to meet you Ma'am." I say to her.
She blushes as Dash makes a gagging sound in the background. Rarity Glares at her. I look at Applejack as she moves out of the way. "You already know me sugercube." I see the yellow pony trying to hide in her mane. She's so cute. I slowly walk to her and kneel down to her level like I did with Dash.
"I'm Fluttershy." She whispered quietly. I barely heard her as she said that.
I nod to her as I stand up and introduce myself to all. "I'm ranger Wolf of the New California Republic." Pinkie hops in front of me as I finish speaking.
"Or Wolfy! For short." She said happily in front of me. I just shake my head at her while Twilight looks up with a crazy expression.
"Can I ask questions now?" She asked with a twitch in her eye. I can't help but fell dread.

Time 10:47 A.M.
"How advance is your species?" Twilight has been asking questions none stop since we all sat down. I haven't been able to answer any of them since it never stops. I look at the rest of the girls who all have tried to get her to stop. "How.."
"ENOUGH! Twilight you been talking none stop and not letting him answer!" Dash interrupted Twilight.
Twilight blushes. "Sorry I guess I got to carried away." Twilight says.
"Twi you got way more than just carried away." Applejack says as Twilight tries to make herself as little as possible.
"How about we all ask a question and move to the next person? I have questions to." I ask as they all shake there heads. I point to Twilight to signal her to go first.
"What are you?" She simply asks.
"A human." She goes to say more but I point to Rarity. Twilight gets upset about it but her pout is to cute so I ignore her.
"What are you wearing darling, its a bit drab." Rarity says in her posh accent. "I mean no offense of course." She said at the end.
"None taken ma'am. The whole outfit is what a lot of people back home call veteran ranger armor but the actual armor pieces are old pre war riot gear." Pinkie is the next one up and all I fell is dread.
"Do you like cake Wolfy?" Okay not some bizarre thing but really Pinkie an alien in front of you and you ask if it likes cake?
"Never had a real cake before. Do over two hundred year old snack cake count?" That's another thing from my old life gone and I causally just say all these lies. So Wolf is actually me or am I Wolf? All I know is Wolf's life is taking over my old one. My thoughts are broken when Pinkie gasps.
"*GASPS* You never had cake before?!" Pinkie yells loudly. All the ponies ears went down when she yelled. Ponies are just to cute.
"End of the world happened Pinkie. Most food is just what ever we can eat. Sugar inst around anymore to use in food like that. Beside people wouldn't know how to make it, cookbooks weren't on the list of what needed to be saved or restored." She goes to say more but Applejack cuts her off.
"What happened to that little filly with you? Misty I believe her name was." All the girls look at me with their heads titled.
I sigh and reach my hands up to take off my helmet and gas mask. when I get them off I put them on the table. All the girls are studying me even more now especially Twilight who is scribbling away in her note book. "I got Misty to the police hopefully they'll find her family and go from there if not she'll go to the orphanage." Applejack nods her head.
"Sounds like you where getting attached to her." Applejack says.
"I was. Girl losses her parents and is about to die. Reminds me of my childhood and an all to common thing in the wastes." I glumly say.
"What is your life like? If you don't mind me asking." Fluttershy says quietly trying to hide in her mane.
"You sure you want to hear it? It's not a good thing." I ask her. She just nod her head. "Life is hell back in the wastes with all the radiation, bandits, mutants, and slavers. The good mostly band together but the bad is all to common." I take a sip of water.
"Sounds like tartarus on earth." Dash says. Huh funny must be their hell I guess since a lot of this stuff is from mythology. Seriously I guess the old civilizations where onto something.
"Its is. My dad was a desert ranger and when he turned twenty six he went on leave to New Reno where he paid for a prostitute. He stayed there for awhile until he would run out of caps but that prostitute was pregnant and it was his since he was her only customer for that month." All the girls blush when they hear about my dad or not my dad as my brain keeps yelling at me. "So he took her back to his crappy shack and had to get back to duty and I was born soon after. I was mostly raised by my mother since dad was a ranger but he still tried his best. Then when I was fourteen he got killed by jackal gang members and mom got sick. When she passed my dads ranger friends took me into their care and trained me to be a ranger and that's that."
"That doesn't sound like a fun foal hood." Pinkie said. Guess that's there word for child.
"Compared to other stories I've heard mine was fine compared to others." I say as they all wince.
"Sooo cool!" Dash said excitedly. "So your like an elite soldier?" She asked me.
"Compared to every one else yes. The desert rangers where around before the New California Republic. We protected a huge area of land from anything that wanted to hurt innocent people." I reply to her.
"Can you tell us more about your government?" Twilight asked.
"The New California Republic was founded by president Tammy and other cities in a state called California back before the bombs fell in the country of the United States. They quickly got others to join them with the hope of restoring civilization with the old way of ruling, democracy. Those that didn't join where annexed or tricked into joining."
"They don't sound to good." Fluttershy says.
"They have done some questionable things and are to concerned about growing but compared to the others, I'd take terrible bureaucracy over them.
"What are the others like?" Twilight asks.
"Either gangs of druggies, corrupt rich people that don't care about people, Supper technologically advance but are to concerned over it that they don't care about any one that's not in there group, or slavers." I say that last one with a little malice.
"When you put it that way, sounds like the only logical choice." Twilight said.
"We didn't want to join but we couldn't take on Ceasers's Legion by ourselves. And when they did finally attack to kill/enslave us all we barley held them back had to blow up a whole town to kill them." They all go quiet.
"The princesses would most likely like to speak to you about all of whats happened can you wait while I write them." Twilight asks as she starts to write a message. I nod my head yes. "Spike send this please." Twilight asks as Spike burns the letter. I look at her questionable and Rarity must of saw the look I was giving.
"Magic fire deary I just went to them even though it looks like he burnt it." Okay I want magic it seems op.
"Well now that's done I have more questions." Twilight happily says as the rest of us groan.

Time 11:32 A.M.
It's been awhile since Twilight started questioning me again. She barley gave me time to respond to them. Thankfully the others where more considerate when asking questions and let me ask some to. I mostly just started to ignore Twilight since she would just go on and on. So apparently the two princesses are alicorns which rarity said where a mix of all three ponies. They are super powerful demigods is what every one makes them out to be and can move the sun and the moon. So don't piss off the leaders just be a good little soldier that gives proper respect to those higher rank them him and hopefully you won't get killed by a heavenly body.
"What's all the elements has your species discovered?" I heard ramble out of Twilight's mouth. The others have left awhile ago inviting me to meet them at later dates especially Applejack who seems to want to talk to me more about what happened in Appaloosa since it concerned her cousin. Kin must be really close in that family. "Wolf are you paying attention to me?" A purple hove waves in front of me.
"I stopped listening about half an hour ago and the others left before that." I replied wiping the lens on my mask. Twilight looks around and as she's looking around I put my masked face next to hers. "BOO!" I yell as she turns around back towards me.
"GAHHH!" Twilight falls back in her chair. "Don't do that Wolf!" She yells at me as she picks herself up from the floor. I can hear spike laughing on the floor next to us.
"Ah Man. He got you good Twilight." Spike said wiping the tears from his eyes. In return she gives him a hateful glare and grumbles to herself about not being scared.
"Sorry but you deserved that. You went on again and we couldn't snap you back." I say as pick up her chair.
She blushes yet again. Man she's to easy. "Sorry I got carried away again." She says.
"Its fine just wait for a little bit I'm sure I'll have to explain a lot more to your leaders. Besides as long as Misty is here I'm staying. I say as I sit down on her couch.
Spike starts to go upstairs. "I have to get back to cleaning. Twilight's room is still as mess." he says as he goes up. I wave at him as he goes.
Twilight gives me a sad look. "You really seem to care about that filly." She says as she sits next to me.
I start to lightly pet her with out knowing it. "I made a promise to take care of her so I will until she wants me gone. I may be a soldier but I'm still human under all this gear. Faulty with emotions." I say as I keep petting her.
"Are we interrupting something?" I hear a very motherly voice say. I stop petting Twilight as I look up at the voice. Who I'm looking at shocks me more. A pure white pony a head taller than me with a horn and wings. Her mane is like a flowing rainbow and her cutie mark is a sun. She also has a smug smile on her lips.
"Pray tell thou hope we arnt." A second voice says next to her sounding more commanding. This pony also has a horn and wings. She's blue and she's standing at my height way more firm than the other one. Her mane is that of the night sky also flowing and with a moon for a cutie mark. I stand up straight and give a salute startling Twilight.
"Gah!! What's going on why'd you stop?" She asked just starting to realize whats going on. "Princes Celestia!" She runs up and hugs her.
Celestia returns the hug and nuzzles her. "My faithful student." She replies They stop hugging and she looks up to me. "And you are?"
"Ranger Wolf of The New California Republic Ma'am." I reply still saluting.
She rolls her eyes with a smile and says. "At ease ranger. That's not needed."
I lower my salute but still stand firm. "With all due respect Ma'am I'm representing my country." I reply. Okay the old me is officially starting to die please freak out about this me.
The blue one get up next to me and starts to check me out. "Hmm. Can thou keep him?. Thy is certainly better than thy rest of thou's guard." She say's still looking me over.
Celestia face hooves. "No Luna we can't keep him he's part of a different country and I told you to speak modern now. Ponies can't understand the old language." In return Luna just cutely huffs. "Plus he's already helping ponies out. Haven't you read the reports?"
Luna stands next to her again. "Yes that is why I want him in the guard to have him officially work for us. With what has been happening as late it be good for us."
I look at Celestia "Ma'am?" I questioned her.
Twilight looks up at Celestia to. "Princes whats wrong?" She asked.
Celestia sighs and says "Nothing that concerns you Twilight." She glares at Luna who in return just blankly stares back. "Any ways we need to get the basic questions out of the way first before moving on to the next phase." I nod my head for her to continue "Do you plan on hurting my ponies?" Her tone gets serious.
"No Ma'am only if it's to defend myself or innocent since it's what I'm trained to do." I reply sternly.
Celestia nods her head. "I'm assuming you've killed before so are those weapons you have with you?"
"Yes ma'am they are I won't use them unless I have to. I keep the safety always on and the mag out of the rifle and the sequoia wont shoot unless you pull the hammer back." I tell her about my guns hopefully to gain more trust. She just smiles at me again.
"Thank you ranger Wolf that's most of my concerns out of the way for now do you have any Luna." Celestia asks looking over at Luna.
"How many have you killed Wolf?" Luna asks as Celestia gives her another glare.
"Sister I don't think that's a good question to asks." She says still glaring at her.
"It's fine. I've killed a lot." I calmly reply.
"For your country or personal?" Luna asks again as all eyes are on me again.
"For both. A lot of them where branded enemies of the NCR and the others where raiders or religious zealots trying to spread there religion forcefully." I reply back.
Luna smiles at me. "So just like any soldier than." I nod my head at her.
"Well now that's out of the way it's time to get back to canterlot. Do you have everything with you Wolf?" Celestia asks me.
"I'm coming back with you?" I asked.
"Wait I can't keep him here?" Twilight asks the same time as me. I just stare at her as she tries to hide away.
"Yes there is still we must talk and do. It'll be easier to do it back at the castle." Luna says.
"Will I be back here tomorrow?" I ask.
"No why?" Luna asks while Celestia smiles more.
"Don't worry Wolf I've sent guards to get Misty Dew. I've read the notes Twilight sent." She winks over at Twilight who in turns blushes.
"Thank you ma'am." I say letting out my breath. Luna just looks at me questionably as we walk to the door.
"Bye Wolf I'll see you again right?" Twilight asks walking up to me I just nod and wave as we step outside.
"So tell me Wolf. Have you ever flown before?" Celestia asks giving me a huge smile

I hate my life right now. When we walked outside there was a carriage pulled by guard ponies, at the time I thought they'll just pull us there but as we loaded up Celestia's last comment made me realize what was going to happen. She planned it to. Made me sit in the middle on purpose so I couldn't grab on to anything. All I hear is the wind as I'm ducked down between to princesses trying in vane to find something to grab onto.
"Afraid of heights Wolf?" I hear Celestia say on the verge of laughing. Note to self Celestia is a big troll. Even on an alien planet the trolls still exist to be a pain.
"No but when I'm in a flying wagon that's being pulled by two ponies I think I have a right to be afraid. This is a death trap waiting to happen." I say still huddled on the floor. Hey it is a death trap and plus every time I look up ahead I'm staring right at the backs of to white Pegasuses. One of them will occasionally look back and wink at me while the other one laughs. So yeah it's pick on me time great.
"You need to relax. I've done this for thousands of years and nothing has ever happened before. Besides if you do fall we'll be able to catch you." Celestia said extending her wings. I sit back into my seat and take a deep breath. "See it's fine." She gives me a warm smile. All of the sudden there is turbulence and next thing I know I'm in Luna's lap. Celestia finally bursts out laughing while Luna gets a big smile on her face.
"Finally stallions start throwing themselves at me." Luna gives me a big snuggle that starts to crush my bones. "Tho has finally gotten a mate!" Luna says all happy and proud.
"Just kill me now please." I say being cuddled to death. Next thing I know they both start laughing.
"Okay Luna I think it's time to stop messing with him he is a guest after all." Luna lets me go and I quickly sit back into my seat. "You girls up there stop messing with him to please." Celestia gives a look up at the ponies pulling the cart and they sheepishly look away.
Luna gives me a pat on the back. "So are you still worried about flying?" She asks me.
"Not any more Ma'am. I'm more afraid of being messed with again." I reply honestly.
"Well Wolf I hope we didn't offend you with what we did." Celestia say giving me a worried look. Luna gives me a confident smirk.
"Sister he is a soldier. If harmless pranks offend him he is in the wrong job." Luna says giving me a wink.
"I'm fine with it Ma'am. Soldiers do dumb pranks all the time. Not that I'm calling you two dumb." I say hopping I didn't offend them. Be careful Wolf they're still leaders.
"You are a curios creature Wolf most ponies would've been upset at a joke played on them." Celestia says as she looks back at the mares pulling the cart. They try to make it seem that they weren't listening on on the conversation by looking any where but back at us. Next thing I know I'm being hugged to death again by Luna.
"Sister are you sure we can't keep him. He's way better than most of your regular day guard anyway. And if the reports are true a better fighter than them to." Luna says giving Celestia the puppy dog eyes. Even though I'm being crushed to death I still daw at it. Also I saw the guards give me an ugly look when Luna was done talking. Thanks Luna I'm going to get jumped by guards now when ever they get a chance.
"No Luna we've been over this before. He's still a soldier from another country. He can't join us he has to get back to his commanders. Plus it's not the olden days where you can keep some pony." Celestia say's sternly.
"The olden days where better." Luna says as she lets go of me to cross her hooves and pout.
"To be fair Ma'am I just appeared here and ran into the buffalo. I'm defiantly not on my planet any more. It's to nice here. There earth back home is a wasteland no matter if the bombs hit it or not." I say. They both look at me now.
"How did you get here then?" Celestia asks me. I shake my head at her.
"I don't know. I was patrolling the river banks then next thing I know I'm in a different desert." I say. What? That was a lie I just said. I was playing a game, went to bed and woke up here. I'm defiantly becoming someone else now.
"We'll look more into it once we get back to the palace. We'll have more minds to help find out." Celestia says as she starts to think.
"What where you looking for when you patrolled?" I hear Luna ask me.
"Any one that needed help or any threat, but It was mostly to make sure no Legion raiding partys crossed over." I say as she scoots closer to me.
"What is this Legion you speak of it doesn't sound so good." Luna asks as Celestia flicks an ear towards us.
"Their full name is Ceasers Legion. A warrior based society that loves to take slaves and brutally kills any that stands in their way. Who ever Ceaser is he based it off of the old Roman Empire that it to took slaves and did awful things but at least they brought new technology back then." I say as I look into the distance. "They're truly awful. When the bombs fell and humanity emerged from the wreckage most went back to a tribal society. Ceaser forcefully made tribes join him and thos that fought back where enslaved or killed and their children turned into soldiers worshiping the long dead god mars of war."
"That truly sounds awful. How do ponies deal with that life? " I hear one of the guards mare say.
"They either become part of the problem or we band together to survive and hope we make a better life out of it." I say to her. I look out into the distance to see a town on a mountain. Great even more heights. "Is that where we're going?" I ask. Everyone shakes themselves at of there thoughts.
"Yes. The capital of Equestria, Canterlot. We'll talk more over dinner. I'm sure you'd like to spend more time with Misty." Celestia smiles at me.
"How do you know I care about her?" I ask her.
Celestia winks at me. "O I have my ways...."
Just then Twilight Sparkle Sneezes.

Location Canterlot
Time 12:17 P.M
As we approach Canterlot I can't help but to feel worried that this huge city is dangling off a cliff. Looking at the ponies it seems that they're fine with the city that is dangling off a cliff. I've seen a lot in the short time since I've been here and to my conclusion ponies are insane. As we get closer I can see the palace. It is very pinkish with two towers at the opposite sides. The main building is a couple stories high, but it was big. Like huge. At least two times bigger than the pentagon and makes the NCR capital house look like a shack, granted the capital house is mostly a glorified scrap shelter but still. The cart lands in a garden in the middle of the palace. The landing was a bit ruff and since I was in the middle with nothing to grab onto I hit my head on the front of the cart. Laughter followed with a grumbling me hopping out of the cart.
"See Wolf the flight wasn't that bad at all." Celestia sweetly says stepping out of the cart while Luna is on her back laughing.
*Snort* "Hahaha the sound his helmet made when he hit the side." Luna laughs out as I just grumble profanities at her.
Celestia rolls her eyes. "Don't mind her. If you would please follow me to where you'll be staying." She says as she walks inside. I glare at Luna and while I was passing by the Pegasuses they both wink at me. I blankly stare at them and do the I'm watching you motion. One of them is confused and the other gulps and turns her head. When I catch up to Celestia she talks again. "I hope you don't mind sharing the room with Misty. It felt wrong putting her alone in a room with what happened."
"It's fine ma'am. Did they find any of her family?" I ask her.
Celestia sighs and shake her head. "Sadly no. Her relatives have gone missing except a foal that is her cousin and he's still a baby. So we hit a dead end." We walked in silence for a while. My eyes wander the palace. Maids rush by to go about there duties and we pass an occasional guard standing watch. The inside is beautiful so far with nice clean white halls and mosaic windows. The guards still stay stoic but the maids would look at me with awe and whisper among each other. I didn't pay attention to them since they didn't say anything bad. Celestia stops at a door and turns to me. "Hear is where you'll be staying. Misty is already inside with Swift Duster who'll be your maid for your time here."
I look at Celestia. "Why are you doing all this for me. Why not just leave me alone to wander like I was doing?" I ask her.
Celestia looks at me. "Straight to the point type of pony?" She asks. I nod my head in return.
"Where I come from if you don't say anything straight there's usually a deadly catch." I say to her.
She nods her head in return. "For a couple of reasons why. One you saved my little ponies, two your a wild card that worries me, Three like it or not your technically a representative for you country now, Finally an ally."
"Thanks for being honest ma'am. If innocent people are at risk then I'll help. It's always been a rangers job to protect people even if where part of the NCR now. What about Misty though? I know your doing a lot of stuff that you don't normally do. " I ask her as I go to open the door.
Celestia sighs. "It's true. I don't get involved in cases like this since we have ponies who can handle it but a filly's entire family just gone with no trace, that's a call for concern and since she trusts you. It'll be good to keep you close to her."
"I understand." I say to her.
She just Smiles her motherly smile and says. "Dinner is at six and be ready to meet more ponies. Just ask Swift Duster to take you there when it's time."
I salute her and say "Ma'am."
Celestia nods her head at me. "See you at dinner Wolf." She turns and walks away as I open the door.
Inside I see Misty's tan coat and teal hair. She's playing with a light brown earth pony maid with a brown mane and a small feather duster for a cutie mark. "And around you go!" Swift says as she lightly spins with Misty. I just watch since Misty is having a good time. Swift stops spinning when she sees me. "O. How long where you there for?"
"Just walked in ma'am. Ranger Wolf." I say to her as she puts Misty down.
"WOLF!" Misty yells as she jumps up at me. I quickly catch her.
"Hey Misty how have you been?" I ask her as I hug her.
"I've been okay so far." She quietly says as she hugs back. "I missed you." She sniffles out.
I continue to hug her as Swift smiles at us. "She wouldn't stop talking about you since I asked about you. I'm Swift Duster by the way. Your maid for your time here." Swift said.
I walk over with Misty to the bed and sit down with her. "Nice to meet you ma'am." I say to her as Misty cuddles up with me more.
Swift gives me a courtesy bow. "Pleasure to meet you. I'll let you to have some alone time. Bye Misty." Swift says as she nuzzles Misty.
Misty Nuzzles back and says. "Bye miss Swift." Swift smiles and leaves us alone.
"So do you like Swift? I ask her.
Misty nods her head. "Yes. I was scared at first since it was only the guards but miss Swift showed up and was super nice to me."
"Well we'll have to do something nice for her than." I say. I set Misty down on the bed. "Hey I'm going to take a shower are you okay by yourself for awhile?"
Misty nods her head. "I'll be okay. Swift left me some books to read."
I walk into the bathroom. "Well I'll try to be fast." Misty nods at me as she picks up a book.
I smile as I close the door. If I get more time with Misty in the future than I think I'm okay with my new life.

Location Canterlot
Time 1:03 P.M
I take one last look at Misty before I close the bathroom door. Looking at her I see her beautiful smile as she happily reads a book. I smile as I close the door and start undoing straps on my armour. The bathroom is pretty big and fancy. Its all pristine and clean. Guess the maids take their job seriously on of account how ungodly clean it is. The tile is a nice white leading up to the sink/counter with a nice big mirror above it. I take off my helmet and set it down on the counter and lean the rifle on the wall. I look down at my arm with the pip boy on it. Funny thing really I haven't used it since the diamond dogs fiasco. I bring my arm up and start switching thru the menus on it. Map hardly has anything discovered, the health screen shows that I'm all good. I switch over to the inventory screen to see that it list stuff in my backpack, Mainly my drinks and stimpacks. I take off the back pack and put it down and low and behold the items go away. What mainly confuses me is the Ammo situation though. The numbers keep glitching out so I can't read it. O well. I'll have to figure it out later. I continue to take off the armour and stop after taking off my jeans. Looking down at my leg I can see a scar from when I got hit from the arrow. Note to self stimpacks leave scars. I finish stripping and run my hand down my face as I look at a huge shower. Another note I think to my self, have to shave soon so this 5'o clock shadow doesn't grow. I turn on the shower and step in.
Twenty minutes later I open up the bathroom door to see Misty still reading the book. She looks up at me with a confused look.
"I thought you wanted to get clean but yet you put on the same clothes." Misty says.
"Yeah I don't have any thing else at the moment but at least the I can leave the rifle and backpack here for now." I reply to her as I approach the door and wave her to follow.
Misty closes her book and gently opens up her wings and glides off the bed, "Where are we going?" She asks me.
I open the door and walk out with her. "Anywhere but here. I'm a ranger and we are always mostly on the move unless if our tasks needs us to wait." I say to her as we walk down the hallway.
"But won't we get into trouble for walking around here?" Misty asks as she tries to hide behind me as we pass guards and maids. We turn a corner and come to another hall.
"To my knowledge no one told me to stay in the room and if some one does have a problem with it we'll just go back." We walk down the hall to another turn where at the end I can see two guards guarding a door. Misty still has a look of concern on her face as we approach them as. The guards look at me as I stop next to them. "Excuse me but how do I get to the courtyard from here?" I ask them as Misty's eyes widen to the size of dinner plates.
"This is the throne room. You have to turn left instead of right at the end of the hallway. Then it'll be on the left side a few doors down." The white unicorn on the left said.
"Thank you sir. Next time I should just wait for the maid." I thank him. Misty's face has scrunched up all cute in confusion.
"No fun to wait though when you can explore. Getting lost is the fun part." The grey unicorn on the right chimed in.
"You got that one right sir." I salute them. "Gentlemen" I say as they salute back. I turn around with Misty and head for the garden. She follows but looks like she has something to say.
"How did you do that with out them being mad for talking to them?" She asks as she follows me down the hall.
"Just approach and engage with people with respect. If they couldn't talk they would've stayed silent or told us they couldn't. As long as your nice and respectful they wouldn't be mean." I say as we reach the door to outside.
"It's just that ponies tell stories of ponies getting in trouble with them and being arrested for doing something." Misty says as she looks outside at the courtyard. The courtyard is huge with a main pathway down the middle, with a hedge maze on one side and a garden on the other. We walk down the pathway over to some statues.
"Misty as long as your nice and respectful to people who aren't doing any harm or anything bad. Then people will be more accepting of your presence." As we walk I look at the statues. Some are different creatures while some are pony heroes if I had to guess. My favorite one was of a unicorn with a pointed hat and long beard. It just screamed I'm a wizard and don't you doubt that. We walk to a bench and sit down opposite side of the weirdest one yet. It was a tall being with different animal body parts confidently standing there. "Misty do you know what that thing is suppose to be?" I ask her. She must of been in thought since she was confused at first.
Misty stares at the statue for a second than talks. "O. That must be Discord who plunged Equestria into chaos before being beaten by the princesses." She proudly says. Looking at it my hand tightens around my revolver as I unholster it.
I aim the revolver at it. "Do you think some one would be mad if I shot off that stupid goatee?" I ask Misty as I aim at the goatee. She laughs. I smirk as I re holster the revolver as animals come to check us out. Misty gets all excited and is about to go get them but I stop her. "If you want animals to come to you, than you have to be calmly and slow. They have to get the courage that you wont hurt them." Misty nods her head as we watch all types of birds land next to us. Robins, Bluejays, some finches, mainly all the pretty ones.
Misty slowly got down off the bench and sat down on the grass when some bunnies came out to see what was happening. In a few minutes The bunnies where playing with Misty. Next a brown and white fox comes out and jumps onto my lap. It watches Misty with me while I pet it. Out of everything that has happened so far, This will defiantly be one of the best.

Time 5:45 P.M
I've been watching Misty play with animals for awhile now. At first it was bunnies than, the others started to warm up to her. I nearly panicked when a bear out of all things came out to play.I was so surprised to see the bear join in on what I assume is to be tag. I laugh as Misty pounces on a wolf to tag him. Apparently animals have some sapience in this world. Most of the animals could out run her but they purposely stop so she can get them. Speaking of animals I've petted this fox for hours now. Every time I tried to stop petting him he would pounce back onto my lap.
"Misty! Ranger!" I look over to see Swift Duster rushing over to us. The animals run when she reaches us. "Finally found you to. Its all most time for dinner." She is completely out of breath. She must of ran looking for us.
I look down at the time on my pip boy to see it's almost six. "Sorry Swift. Misty was having a such good time I didn't want to go back to the room." I put the fox to my side on the bench and stand up. He gives Swift an ugly look before he scampers away. "Misty its time for dinner come on." I say to her as she comes over to us.
"Okay." Misty says. "I am hungry." She blushes as her tummy rumbles. Swift starts to lead us away.
"I've never seen the animals playing with anypony before. How did you manage to do it Misty?" Swift asks Misty as she leads us inside.
"By being patient and calm just like Wolf told me to." Misty beams up at Swift. Swift looks to me with a questionable gaze.
I look back at her. "I've had to deal with a lot of animals back in the wasteland. The mutated ones will almost certainly attack you, while ones that aren't will usually leave you alone if your not a threat to them." I say as we turn a corner.
Swift gets a surprised look on her face. "I take it you grew up in a bad place?" She asks as we continue down a hallway.
"Pretty much. everyday is a fight for survival back in the Mojave." I say as I look down to see Misty is struggling to keep pace with us. Must be tired, she did play non stop. "Your usually doing something to help you survive." I continue on as I pick Up Misty.
She looks up at me and says "Thank you." We turn another corner. Jeez this place is huge.
"How was your day Swift?" I ask her. Swift looks surprised as she stops suddenly. "Swift?" I ask her again.
Swift shakes her head and continues on. "Sorry ponies don't usually asks us maids anything. And to answer your question just mostly cleaning." We come to a door. "Well here we are. I'll be back later to walk you back to your rooms. I'm kinda in a hurry so see you two soon." Swift says as she waves us good bye. I open the door.
The room was huge but the dinner table was a medium size but what shocked me more that their where more ponies there. The room goes silent as we walk in. I see the princesses but the others are new. Another alicorn that's all pink. Next to her is two white unicorns one with a blonde mane one with a nice blue one. The alicorn looks all happy while the blonde hair pony looks on in disgust. The other unicorn looks at use curiously. I set Misty down as Celestia gets up to greet us.
"Ranger Wolf and Misty. Pleasure to see you two again." Celestia says as she leans down to nuzzle Misty. Misty returns the nuzzle while I salute.
"Ma'am" I say as I salute. Every one in the room smiles at except for the blonde maned pony.
Celestia rolls her eyes. "At ease Wolf." She say as she leads me and Misty to the table. We set down to the right of Luna across form the pink alicorn and white unicorn. "Well time for new introductions." Celestia says as she points to the pink alicorn. " The alicorn in front of you is my niece Cadence and her fiance Shinning Armor."
"Pleasure to meet you both. I'm Ranger Wolf off." I get cut off as Luna nudges me.
"They already know about you and Misty so please don't go thru the whole name country thing" Luna says as she gives me a look.
"Yes like my aunt said me and Shinning know all about you and thank you for what you did." Cadence said. I just nod at her. " And this cute filly is Misty Dew." She said smiling at Misty.
Misty tries to hide under table. "So Wolf your an elite soldier right?" Shinning asks me.
"Yes sir. I've been trained since I was little, but if you want to talk about my history it's not something to be discussed in front of children." I say tilting my head toward Misty. Shinning just gives me an understanding look.
Celestia takes that time to introduce the last pony there. "And my nephew prince Blueblood." She says pointing to the blonde pony.
"Charmed." Blueblood said while looking at a menu. Well he probably doesn't like me.
"So Wolf do you have anypony in your life?" Cadence asks giving me a big beaming smile. Luna turns an ear into my direction.
"I was married. Lost her in the battle of Hoover Dam. No children either. We still had several years left of duty." I sigh out.
Cadence frowns. "I'm sorry. Didn't mean to bring up sadness." She says.
Misty comes out of hiding and hugs me. "It's okay. Better to love than lost than to never love at all. Life is awful and Ellie made it better." I say as I hold up a menu so me and Misty can look at it.
"Now that all that is out of the way. How rich are you?" Blueblood asks. The princesses give him a glare. Yep I don't like him. He starts talking but I don't pay attention. I'm to sad and haunted by a past that's not my own but is at the same time. Today was going so well to.

I was writing this on Friday and wanted to have it out than but my brother has an infection and hes being difficult. So here is a chapter if nothing else happens there will be another one soon.

Time: 6:17 P.M
"I also own huge plots of lands." Blueblood said. He has been talking for a long time now. Everyone is just ignoring him. Servers came and took our orders about five minutes ago. Misty somehow talked me into getting pancakes with her. She even gave me puppy eyes, which was uncalled for since I wasn't about to say no to her. Candace awed at the site while everyone else just snickered, well except for Shinning who gave me a look that said "I know your pain". "How much property do you own Ranger Wolf?" I shake my head and look at Blueblood.
"Nothing anymore. Used to own my parent's farm after they died, but I was young and joined the Rangers." I take off my helmet and put it down by my chair. "Gave it to a young family for free though. They'll use it more than me. " I receive a lot of smiles except from Blueblood who gave a look of disgust.
"You openly gave away your home?" Celestia asks me.
"Yeah I was in the Rangers so I didn't need it. Plus with how brutal the Ranger life is we usually die eventually before we retire." I got some horrified looks after I said that. Misty was just sad though. "Life in the wasteland is horrible." I plainly say.
Misty looks up at me with sad eyes. "So your gonna die soon?" She sadly says.
I look back at her with a sad smile. "Maybe not soon but eventually something will get me." I give her a playful salute. "Don't worry though." I throw in a cocky smile. "I am a Veteran Ranger and we are insanely tough to kill. We fight till we take our last breaths." I give Misty a wink in the end. She starts laughing as does some of the other ponies.
*Chuckle* "Bragging does not fit you Wolf." Misty says as she continues to laugh. Well at least the mood is happy again.
"Yeah, Not doing that again." I say as I start to pet Misty who has started to hiccup. Well I lost some self esteem there.
"So how elite would you say the rangers are?" Shinning asks me.
I look up for a second as I think about what I was going to say. I also still keep petting Misty who has snuggled up into my lap. Can't be to comfortable with all this riot gear on, but she seems happy. "Well there's different type of rangers or is even though we all got put into the same command group. I'm a Veteran Ranger. We were our own faction in the Mojave and Nevada area. The NCR had there own rangers who where mostly scouts that explored new areas and got special forces training. Our rangers met each other out in the field where our factions learned about each other. It's a lot just bear with me." I say as he nods his head.
"I think I'm starting to get it. The NCR Military has branches to it and they had a ranger branch also." Shinning said.
I nod my head at him. "Yeah both Rangers are inspired by the old United states. Which was a country before it was turned into the wasteland. They had two types of rangers. Back before they settled most of the land rangers where lawmen and once civilization started booming Rangers became a branch of the military and became the soldiers who lead the way. So when our two forces met, The NCR was happy because more land and people. The Desert Rangers were happy because we were losing ground to about everything." I said.
"So your group joined the NCR then?" Luna asks.
"Yeah. If we wanted to keep our people safe we had to. Some left and others still complain, but despite the trouble the NCR is having it's the best hope compared to the others. Plus we're the only ones who can stop Cesaer's Legion." I reply to her.
A server puts our food in front of us. The pancakes are piled high with a lot of maple syrup in them. Misty digs right in with bits of pancake flying every where. The best way to describe it was a werewolf tearing into it's first kill, Luna looks up at me after shoving something in her mouth.
"This Legion doesn't seem very good." She says as food goes flying out of her mouth when she speaks. Celestia gives her a mean look.
"Luna don't talk with your mouth full. It's rude." Celestia says as she throws a napkin onto Luna's muzzle.
I take some bites of the pancakes and reply. "They're monsters. They enslave women and take kids to raise them as Legionnaires, if your labeled an enemy of it they put you on a cross." I say not hiding the hatred in my voice.
"They sound a lot like the Diamond dog Legion that has sprung up. The ones you dealt with." Candace says.
"Which is why one of the reasons your here Wolf." Celestia says as she gently wipes her face off with a napkin. "They started setting up camp in the Everfree forest next to Ponyville." She gives me a serious look. The look of a commanding officer. "I would like to set you up in Ponyville so you can deal with them."
I look back at her than down to Misty. "If they're hurting innocents than of course I'll help. Just what'll happen to Misty?" I ask her as Misty gives her puppy eyes.
"Celestia smiles her motherly smile again. "Theres an old manor outside of town near the forest. We used to use it for hunters to keep the animals of the forest in check but since the animals hardly leave the forest any more it's unoccupied. You'll be staying there with and as long as you can take care of Misty she can stay with you." Misty flies across the room and hugs Celestia.
Celestia gladly hugs her back. "We'll finalize it all tomorrow." Celestia says as Luna is done with her plate.
"SERVANTS IT IS NOW TIME FOR THINE MOON CAKES!" Luna yells as loud as she can. Welp Thanks moon butt now my ears hurt. Ponies are so weird.

Time: 7:03 p.m
That is one of the most disturbing sights I have ever seen. Luna is viciously tearing into some sort of mini cake thing. The way they disappear into the void of her stomach is something out of a horror film. A waitress finally sets some of the cake things down for the rest of us. They had to eventually just bring a cart out with a lot of them since every time someone got one Luna just stole it. The cake is like a fluffy Oreo, Cream in the middle of the cake. I slide mine over to Misty and get up. She happily starts to gobble it down before Luna can grab it.
Celestia looks at me. "No dessert Wolf?" She asks me as she gently eats. I put on my helmet and look back to her.
"I'm not a fan of sweets ever since my drill instructor caught me with a box of Fancy Lad Snack Cakes back in boot camp." I reply as I stretch.
Shinning looks up at me now. "So your where a trouble maker than?" He asks with a smirk.
I chuckle. "Was for the first week. Drill instructor Theodore quickly fixed that though with a Five mile run in the middle of the day."
Shinning winces at that. "I feel ya. I had to exercise nonstop in the rain and mud." He says.
Misty finishes eating and gets up and walks to me. "Thank you princesses." She says.
Luna just looks her way and Celestia smiles at her. "You welcomed my little pony. I'll stop by your room tomorrow morning to Discuss the job Wolf." Celestia said.
I salute her and walk out with Misty who waves goodbye. As we where walking out we just so happened to bump into Swift "O. I was just on my way to check up on you two. Ready to go back to your room?" She asks as she turn around. Misty and me nod our heads and follow her. We walk for a while in silence than Swift talks again. "So I'm going with you two to ponyville. Celestia asked me before dinner."
Misty starts jumping and flapping her wings with joy. "YAY! Swift is coming with us!" Misty says excitedly as she starts hopping around us.
I look at Swift. "Are you sure you want to just suddenly leave your life here?" I ask her as we continue down the hall.
Swift smiles up at me. "Well I'm still doing my job and really it's only my parents that are here that I'll miss. Plus it'll let me explore and finally get away from the nobles." She says the last part with some malice in her voice.
We turn a corner getting closer to our room. "People that bad up here?" I ask her
Swift snorts. "Just the nobles. Everypony else is nice. I just get to deal with the nobles more since they visit the palace more and the elite district surrounds the palace." Swift says as we reach our room.
"Then I'll see you tomorrow morning. Hope you know what your getting yourself into. Nobody's lived in the manor/mansion for awhile. Could be a awful site waiting for us." I say as I open the door and Misty walks in.
"I think that's why Celestia wants me to go with you two. To Help clean it up ." Swift said as we wave each other good bye as I walk into the room to see Misty jumping on the bed.
"I can't wait to see the place." Misty says still jumping on the bed.
"Lets just hope it's in a livable condition. Don't get your hopes up to high." I say as I sit down on the bed with her. "Come on lets see what your book is all about" I say as I pick it up and she lays down next to me.
Time: 6:00 A.M
*Knock knock* We both wake up to hear knocking on the door. I get up and nudge Misty to get up. "Come in." I say.
Two seconds later Celestia walks in with Swift who is holding a bag. "Good morning you two. I hope you slept well?" Celestia asks as she walks in. I just nod my head at her. "Best to get right to it than." Celestia says as she gives me a patch and some documents. The patch is a white alicorn rearing up. "With this patch and documents you are now part of the ranger branch of the Equestrian military." Celestia says as I get up and quickly salute her.
"Ma'am." I say to her.
"I know this is all quick but I fear for the ponies of ponyville. You only take orders from Me, Luna and Candace." I look to see she is worried. "The documents I gave you are of your citizenship, Service record, and finally guardianship over Misty Dew." My heart beats fast over all this news. A bombshell just got dropped on me and I don't even know what I'll be facing. "I'll announce all of this to the public later please follow me." Celestia says as we all rush after her.
When we catch up I ask her a question. "Something tells me I was just put into something huge. Hows this going to work out?" I ask.
Celestia looks at me. "You'll get support from the crown and your duty will be to protect my ponies. Once I announce to the public about all this you'll have a lot of power and are essentially a lord. You'll be above the law and can command any troops and officers to do what you say." Celestia says as we walk outside to the courtyard and to a loaded chariot.
"Something big worries you doesn't it?" I say as we stop at the chariot.
Celestia gives me a worried look. "Troubling times are ahead of us and the elements of harmony are the only thing that can stop it. Plus keep this between us. Not even Luna knows." She whispers to me. I nod my head. "The diamond dog legion is a huge threat that can't be solved by the elements and with them operating close to the elements, I can't take that risk." Misty,Swift and me step into the chariot. "You'll receive funds later today." Celestia says as the chariot take off.
Whelp, looks like I'm employed again. Just seems like I'm getting into a huge mess now though. Ranger life sucks.

Location Ponyville
Time 7:42 A.M
I hate these damn carriages. The flight was smooth this time but it doesn't change the fact that if you lean over the side you'll become a puddle. At least the mare's pulling it aren't messing with me again, whether is it was Celestia who told them to stop or because of Misty. I look over to see Misty spreading her wings out and Swift smiling at her. I really need to learn more about ponies since I have no idea if Swift should be flying at her age.
"Ponyville is sure quaint isn't it?" Swift say's looking down at ponyville. I nod my head at her and look down at it to. We're almost to the Twilight's library, which of course is a tree filled with paper books. Why is that a thing, I don't know but I see Pinkie leaving that gingerbread house. Pinkie stops suddenly and looks up and waves at us. I wave back as we fly over.
I start tracing the forest as we start to fly out of town. It's going to be my patrol area soon and I can't help but to feel anxious. You can hardly see into it from the outside and the way it gives off this foreboding presence is not helping my anxiety. Thick green canopy, vines hanging off trees, sharp pointy foliage, and to top it all off filled with creatures that can destroy whole cities. The monsters and creatures I'm not worried about. The wasteland already prepared me for dealing with things that wont die. The tight close quarters is what will cause a problem for me. Most of the desert wasteland is open, perfect for us rangers with rifles. The revolver is good to for out in the open. Six shots isn't going to be the best for me in there. Only if I had a 10mm or a shotgun with slugs. Hell I'll take a laser or a plasma rifle despite having no knowledge in how to use them. My thoughts are interrupted by a sudden jerk.
"Woah! It's huge!" I hear Misty say as I look up at mansion and well it is big. The yard is surrounded by an iron fence and well the landscaping is just overgrown grass. No trees, bushes, or flowers which makes sense since this was an outpost. The house itself was made out of wood a was a worn black with white trimmings. From what Celestia told me it was two story with a basement. Looking at the front I can see six windows on the ground floor, three on each side of the door and seven up top. "We get to live in it?" Misty asks me.
"Yeah we do but it's going to take some work before it'll be pleasant to live in." I say as we grab our bags and head off towards the front door. When I walk pass the guards I scratched behind her ear. She leaned into my hand and blushed. I stop scratching her ear and walk up with every one else. I take a quick glance back to see she has a pout on her face. Hey a little revenge is a good thing. Swift and Misty walk in with out me. I quickly walk in to see the entrance room, It's the typical style entrance room with stairs at the end but there's really nothing here.
"Well it's not that bad with dust and the spiders haven't really gotten to anything." I hear Swift saying from the right which seems to be the dinning room and kitchen. "Plus with the supplies Celestia is sending over it wont be that bad to clean this place up." Swift mumbles to herself. Misty takes a turn to the left and disappears into to the doorway. Okay I'm just going to follow Misty like a lost puppy since Swift is in clean mode and I know better than to get into some ones way.
I walk through the door when suddenly hairy legs land onto one of my lenses. "JESUS! GET OFF GET OFF GET OFF!" I yell as I start swatting at the demon with my hand. My eyes are closed but I felt that I hit it so I quickly open my eyes and aim my revolver at it. The foul demon is lying limp on the floor but I pull the hammer back to put a bullet in it to make sure it's dead.
"HA HA HA!" Misty is on her back laughing. I look up at her to see that we're in a big living room with a bathroom and office on the left and study room in the back. "That was way to funny." Misty laughs out as she stands back up and flops onto a black couch. I step on the demon and walk into the office. The office has a few wood filing cabinets and a nice desk in it. So I have a felling that this house has not much in it. A quick check of the study room confirms that. A single red armchair and empty book cases. Misty gets control of herself and walks into the bathroom with me. It's rustic to say the least. Counter with sink, toilet, and tub with old timely pipes.
"Hey you two. I'm to afraid to go up stairs by myself. Will you both accompany me?" I hear Swift say. We head to her and she leads the charge upstairs.Theirs double doors in front of us and a hall way to the left and right. So master bedroom and others. I open the door to the master bedroom and well it's huge. Big fancy bathroom nice, closet, big fancy bed.Makes sense since it is technically owned by the princesses. Must of been a vacation home. A quick check in the halls confirms that there's three rooms on each side with a bathroom. So in total seven rooms and four bathrooms, that has almost nothing in them. So it's no surprise that Swift has us in the main room going over what we need.
"So I'll head out and go get food while you two get clean sheets and pillows for today." Swift say's as she puts on her saddle bags. "We just have to get through tonight and then the princesses will help us out. So good luck everypony." Swift says as she leaves the house. I look at Misty to see that she is looking at me with a look of dread.
I kneel down and pet her, "Yeah this is going to be an adventure." I say grimly. This is going to be a rough week.

Time 9:27 A.M
"Dammit! Dropped it again." I yell out as I bend down to pick up a box of sheets. Thats like the third time I dropped something be it a pillow or blanket. As I pick up the box I see Misty laughing at me. She has no problem carrying boxes on her back since you know she's a pony. I wish we had a cart or something but I think Swift would of taken it. I straighten out the boxes I was carrying and head threw our front gate. "Have you decided which room you want Misty?" I ask her as we walk inside.
"I want the big middle one!" She happily says as we set the boxes down. I can't help but to laugh.
"I think Swift deserves that one on of account how much she's down already." I say. Looking around Swift has been at work cleaning. Not a single speck of dust on the first floor.
"I deserve what now?" Swift says coming into the room. She has duster in her mouth and is wearing her maid uniform. I can't help but to blush when I look at her. Damn maid uniforms.
"We where just talking about what rooms we where going to stay in." I say.
"Well I already Cleaned and moved Into one on the right." She says picking up one of the boxes. "I'm about to clean upstairs now. The master bedroom will be clean in about a hour or two. And Misty can have whatever room I clean next."
"I really don't want it." I say honestly while I help stabilize The box on Swift's back. "All this stuff is to much for a ranger. Hell I'll happily sleep outside." I pick up the other box and follow Swift upstairs.
"Really now? What happens when you bring home a mare than?" Swift playfully asks me as she gives me a sultry look.
"Theirs not going to be a mare I bring home." I say as we sent the boxes down.
Swift gives me a sad look. "And why's that?" She asks.
I sigh "One I already went through the whole relationship thing and she was killed at the battle of Hoover Dam. Two, I wont have time. With this whole Diamond dog thing and taking care of Misty." I say.
Swift sadly smiles at me. "So you don't want any pony than." She says as she pulls out some sheets.
"Maybe I don't know. I still love Ellie and how did we get on about my love life?" I asks as I get her some pillows.
"I'm just curios Wolf. We are going to be seeing each other more. Just wanted to know more about you." Swift says as she puts sheets on her bed.
I put the pillows down. "And I would like to know more about you. But we can do that at dinner. I need to go get the lay of the land. Can you watch Misty for me?" I ask as we both walk down the stairs.
"Of course. She can help me clean." Swift says happily.
We walk down the stairs and I call for Misty. "Misty! I'm headed out. Swift is in charge of you until I get back." I yell
"Okay!" I hear her yell from the kitchen while Swift runs to get her.
I shake my head and leave the house. I start heading towards the Everfree forest to walk along the edges of it. It takes about ten minutes to get there. The forest looks even more uninviting the closer you get to it. I sigh and start walking along the edge of it. From what I can tell there's only one road into it and it starts at the other end of town so looks like I have some walking to do.
Twenty minutes later I'm walking alongside a fence with apple trees on the other side. As i was walking I hear a loud knock. I stop and look to see Applejack kicking a tree with her back legs. I watch her kick the tree to my surprise all the apples fell off neatly into buckets. She wipes some sweat off her forwards and walks over to me.
"Well howdy there Wolf what are you up to?" Applejack asks.
"I've been assigned to patrol Ponyville by the princesses so I was getting a lay of the land." I say honestly.
"Well I'll be. Hope your ready for the craziness of it all." She says.
"Ma'am I know I can handle it. I'll let you get back to work." I say as I start to walk off.
She waves as she gets back to work. "Your welcomed anytime here." She says as she walks away.
I continue to walk but I notice some grey in a bush. I quickly dip into the forest and crouch down. A minute of silently walking behind the bush I get a clear view of what was in front of me. It's a diamond dog alright but it's more slender and curvy than the ones I've dealt with. Like way more curvy and yep that's a pair of breasts. I blush since of course she's not wearing any clothes. I stop still to she whats she's doing and it gives me some concern. She's watching the farm and to be more specific Applejack. Deciding she was a threat I slowly sneak up on her. I notice her ears perk up when I get close so I quickly grab her.
It didn't go as exactly planned since I ended up tackling her onto the ground. We struggled for a bit grunting as we tried to get a hold of each other. We rolled a couple of times switching places who was on top until evently she tried to bite my arm and I was able to get her in a choke hold. I held her in the choke hold until she passed out. That was not the way a elite soldiers fights. We both were caked in mud. I tried to sling her over my back but I couldn't so it ended up with me carrying her bridle style out of the forest where Applejack was standing blushing.
"What in tarnation where you two doing in there? If it's what all that grunting and mud on y'all indicates than don't tell me." She says looking bright red.
I can't help but blush again. "It's not what it looks and or sounded like." I say defending myself. "She was spying on you and I missed trying to grab her." Applejack looks mad now.
"She was what! Take her to the barn I'll get Mac and some rope. If she's working for that diamond dog legion Celestia help me." She says as she storms off. I follow her holding the diamond dog. Something tells me she's not with the legion on of account how skinny she is and how she's naked. Great now I'm blushing more. I need to calm down. I'm better than a horny teenager. I say to myself as I walk her into the barn. I just hope I don't have to do anything rash.

Sometimes I wish the show went more into depth about other species. Like female diamond dogs and Minotaur's. And actually have bat ponies.
Location Applejack's Farm

Well I can already tell that this is not going to go well. The diamond dog is laying in a pile of hay that I carefully put her down in. I even put hay over her private parts. I can already feel the guilt creeping up on me for attacking someone that might not have been involve with the legion. I'm still going to have to question her just to be sure but if she's innocent than I owe her. Thankfully I'm wearing this mask/helmet combo because every time I look at her I blush. Shes grey with a black hair that looks unkempt. She's about Five inches tall with medium sized breast and looks way to skinny. I hear a commotion outside reminding me I'm not the only one who want's answers.
"Alright I got the rope let me tie her up." I hear Applejack say as she enters the barn with rope in her mouth. I stand in front of the diamond dog as she gets closer. "What in tarnation are ya doing Wolf?!" She yelled at me.
I snatch the rope from her mouth. "I'll tie her up. You need to calm down before you do something you'll regret."
"Why I ought a!" She gets interrupted by a big red stallion laying his hoof on her.
"I reckon hes right sis. Y'all need to calm down." He says in a deep voice. Jeez hes about Luna's size and has a green apple for A cutie mark. Applejack looks dejected but she stops fuming so I tie the diamond dog up. The Stallion walks up next to me when I'm done tying her up. "She was spying on my sister?" He asks me. Okay note to self don't mess with Applejack family.
"Yes sir. I caught her spying on the farm from a bush and what with the legion threat and all, can't be to careful." I say back to him. "Problem is It'll be hard to figure out if what she's saying is true or not but I have time."
Applejack looks up at me. "I can help with that. I'm pretty good at telling if someone is lieing or not." I give her a look but she can't see my face. But thankfully she understands to explain more. Must of been the red eyes staring into her soul. "It has to do with my element." I look up to her brother to confirm it.
He looks at me and nods his head. "Eyup." He says.
"Fine just let me do the talking and would you kindly go get a bucket of water sir." I pretty much demanded They both nod their head while the stallion walks off.
"He's Big Mac by the way. He usually doesn't say much but he has a good work effort." Applejack says as she sits down.
About three minutes later Mac walks in with a bucket of water. I nod my thanks to him as I pour some water on the Diamond dog. *YIP* She springs up but her legs are tied so she can't go anywhere.
"Where am I?" She simply says as she stares at Big Mac. "If you are legion just kill me now." She demands. Okay so maybe not legion and a bit bossy.
"You are currently tied up in the barn of the farm you where spying on. Answer questions truthfully and your free to go." She looks over to me and growls at me.
"You!" She shouts at me. "Why you attack me while I was trying to get food?" She demands from me. I simply stare at her. She's not at all intimidated by me. I look at Applejack to see if she's lying and she just simply shakes her head no.
"You are in no reason to question me but since I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt I thought you were legion." I say.
She spats as I say legion. "Legion not own Selene. Selene is her own alpha." She proudly says. So right not legion than and looking back at Applejack she confirms it.
I sigh. "So Selene. Your not part of the Diamond Dog Legion and was just trying to scavenge for some food?" I ask her
Selene looks back at me with cute blue eyes. "I'm not with them. I'm an outcast like some others since they just wanted me for pups." She says. I sigh again and untie her. When I'm done untying her she tries to feel me up. "You strong. You would be perfect for a new pack." her hands move down to my thighs and she give me a seductive look. I freeze up and start to get turned on but thankfully Applejack rushes to my aid.
"If if y'all so hungry why didn't ya just ask?" Applejack stammers out.
Selene stops toying with me and looks at her. "Ponies don't like diamond dogs. They just chase us off." She says as she saunters up to Big Mac and starts checking him out. Mac freezes up just like I did and I can safely say that Mac is big in all the ways.Puts Braeburns to shame.
Selene starts feeling Mac up and me and his sister just watch. Selene starts rub her hands lower so that's when I speak up. "So your not with the legion and are not into the whole slavery thing?" I ask her.
Selene looks back to me. "I'm not a slaver." She simply says. She walks over to me but falls. I catch her before she hits the ground and pick her up bridle style again.
"Your to weak. I'm going to take you back to my house where you can tell me more about the legion while we get some food into you." I say as I walk out with the ponies.
Selene Gives me a seductive look again. "Of course we can talk, than we mate so we can start a new pack and be free from them." I blush while the ponies laugh.
"Lets get you back to health and washed up before you do any activities." I say to her. Looking down at her I feel sorry for her. She's in a bad shape and she's hiding it with that personality. I look at the ponies. "I'm going to get her settled in and I'll get back on patrol. I'll stop by here first to check up on you two."
"We'll be fine Wolf. Thanks for not letting me hurt her." Applejack says. She and Mac wave good bye as I walk back towards the house. I still walk along the edges of the forests so I don't cause a ruckus in town.
"You can drop the act now." I stare down at Selene. "I know how bad slavers can be." I say to her.
"How did you know?" Selene asks me.
"People how have gone through horrible things usually try to act differently." I simply say to her.
"I was going to be alpha of a pack but than the legion came and we fought back." I can see tears welling up in her eyes. "They turned us into slaves and forced us to build and mine for them while pups were turned into soldiers." She starts crying into my shoulder.
"How'd you get free?" I ask her.
"What was left of my pack collapsed a tunnel on purpose so we could escape. We got lost in forest." She starts bawling now.
I start to slowly pet her. "Your safe now. We'll get you cleaned up and healthy in no time." I say.
She holds me a little tighter. "You worthy mate." She says again as she slowly stops crying. Great this is going to go well for me and to top it all off, I have no idea what Swift and Misty will say about her. I look down at Selene. I'm questioning my sexuality a lot more now since I've came to this place. Ponies both male and females and now a bipedal dog. Wonder what else will try and get me to sleep with it.

The walk back to the house with Selene was mostly spent in quite. She let lose an sniffle every once in a while but other than that we didn't talk. I didn't even know where to start with this situation. She's not in the best of shape so I need to get her to a doctor or something since stimpacks only heals wounds and not starvation and malnutrition. Secondly I have a diamond dog that was a part of the legion, so she has vital information. I don't want to overwhelm her though and thirdly Swift and Misty how will they react about this? Welp we'll see just walked onto the property now.
"I need to put you down before I let you in. I need to let the other ponies with me know about you." I say as I gently put Selene down out front.
"Fine I'll wait here." Selene says crossing her arms. I open the down only to have a force push me back.
"Wolf your back!" Misty yells as she snuggles into my chest. I hear clip clopping of hooves and look up to see Swift standing smiling at us.
"She's a good little helper." Swift says as she fixes her maid outfit. "Now only if she could fly that'll be super better. She would be able to reach higher places." Swift says stretching. Almost like a cat really.
I hold Misty as I walk over to Swift. "How's every thing going over here?" I ask as I put Misty down by her. Misty is sad but I need to get serious with them.
"Fine. I think we're almost done cleaning, just a few rooms left then we'll need furniture." Swift says as she scrunches up her face thinking. "How was your patrol?" She asks after thinking about something.
"About that." I say as she gives me a questionable look. "I found a diamond dog spying on a farm but she's not part of the legion and is in bad shape so I brought her back here."
Swift just stares at me know. "Are you sure that's a good idea. I mean I know she's not part of the legion but diamond dogs are the best to get a long with." Swift says as she puts Misty on her back. I guess to protect her if it all goes wrong or something.
"If Wolf say's she's not bad than shes not bad!" Misty proudly says on top of her noble steed. Swift cringed when Misty spoke since Misty kinda yelled it. Jeez Misty we'll talk about that soon.
"Trust me I'm not happy about this either since I know what she's like but, hopefully I'll get information about it." I say as I face the door and yell out. "SELENE COME IN!"
Selene walks in the door and Swift quickly covers Misty's eyes. "Good you already have a mate and a pup. It'll make growing pack easier." Selene says.
"WHAT!" Swift yells blushing red like a tomato. I blush to.
"Nonono We're not a pack! Misty isn't my daughter!" Swift goes into full panic mode while Misty gets an evil look on her face.
"Yeah Swift you should marry Wolf and then we'll be a family!" Misty says as she gives puppy eyes to Swift. Swift, I'd like to say held her ground but she whispered married than got a nose bleed and passed out.
I sigh as I look at the scene. "Welp since you went and made her pass out you get to watch over her as she recovers." I say to Misty as I pick up Swift. Misty just gets a sad look. "Selene can you wait in the office on the left please." I say to her. She just says weak and walks to the office. I walk with Misty up stairs and put Swift in my bed. Misty goes into the bathroom to get tissues while I tuck Swift in.
"I'm sorry." Misty says as she hops onto the bed and gently wipes Swift's bloody nose.
"It's fine Misty just apologize to her when she wakes and don't bring it up." I say as I throw the bloody tissues away. We clean Swift up and when we're done we're both sitting on the edge of the bed. "Honestly Misty. I am technically your father in law since it's what the princes signed onto the paper." I say as she looks up at me. "Sorry for not telling you sooner but I didn't know how to approach it."
Misty hugs me. "It's okay. Swift figured it out and would mention how you were like my dad." She says as she snuggles into me. "I miss him." She starts to cry.
I start to pet her. "I know Mist." I say as she cries more. I hold her for about a minute but light brown hooves wrap around us.
"Sorry for passing out and for bringing up farther ship." Swift says as she nuzzles Misty.
Misty turns around and hugs Swift. "Its okay miss Swift and I'm sorry for teasing you earlier" Misty says as the hug it out. The sight is heart attack inducing.
I stand up and scratch them both behind the ears. "Sorry but there's still that dog downstairs that I need to deal with." I say as I stop scratching them. They both frown. "I'll talk to her and take her to the hospital or to the vet if she keeps being annoying." Swift smiles at that.
"We'll get a room ready just in case." She says as she lets Misty on her back. I follow them out but go down stairs instead. "We'll talk more when you get back." Swift says as she gives me a stern look. I nod my head and she smiles and walks away as I go to the office.
"Bout time you got back mate." Selene say's as I enter the office. I'd say I'd kept my cool but I flipped her off as I went to the other side of the desk. She gives me confused look but shrugs it off.
"Well excuse me if I was tending to the mess you created." I said with malice. I'm usually calm, guess I have deeper feelings for those two than.
"It's not my fault you chosen a weak mate." Selene says my hand clutches into a fist. And I start grinding my teeth.
"Just tell me where the legion is and I'll help you." I say trying to calm down.
"That easy mane base in a quarry and they have a camp about two miles in forest." Selene says bored out of her mind.
"That's all you needed to say from the start." I say as I face palm. "You dogs are very smart are you?" I ask her?
"We just know what needed to survive and what we pick up along the way." Selene says as she gets up and starts trying to take my clothes off. I lightly push her away. "What gives we need to mate for pups.?" She says as she tries again.
I grab her hands and hold her. "Even if I wanted to have sex with you, your not in the best shape so if you even got pregnant you'll just lose them." I stand up with her holding her hands behind her back. "Now I'm taking you to a doctor." I say as I walk outside with her. This dog is insane. Guess the legion doesn't care about higher education.
"We go to doctor and she say when we can mate then we'll mate." Selene says as I drag her out the gate. Just for that I head for Twilight's place. Celestia told me Twilight can contact her so now this dog is going to Celestia. Than I'll have a talk with Swift and Misty. I can't wait for what bombshell Swift will drop on me next.

Time 1:00 P.M
Okay when I said I'd drag Selene to Twilight's house I didn't mean I'd have to actually drag her. She walked at first but she just decided to stop and try to feel me up. All in all we turned a few heads on our way to Twilight's, OK a few is an understatement more like the entire town confusingly watched me drag Selene threw town.
"You must be strong." Selene says as she tries to grope me. I deflect her hand away and sigh in relief as I see the library
I don't even knock I just burst right threw and yelled. "Twilight! Hurry I need you to send a letter to the princesses!" Selene covers her ears as I yell. Good, Thats what you get you perv.
Twilight runs down the stairs with Spike hot on her heels. She looks confused. "Huh? Wolf what are you doing back here so soon?" Twilight says as she and Spike reach the bottom of the stairs.
"And why do you have a naked Diamond dog with you?" Spike says blushing.
I just stare at them trying to burn them with my eyes. "Twilight, Spike, meet Selene. Selene two nerds." I say.
"Hey!" They both shout at me.
"Hmm. The pony would be good for the pack and the lizard would be good maid." Selene says as she looks around.
Twilight opens her mouth to speak but I beat her to it. "I'm here on behalf of the princesses to stop the diamond dog legion and Selene is a former member that I don't have time to deal with." I say. Twilight tries to speak again but this time Spike cuts her off.
"Have a former legion diamond dog." Spike say's as he rolls up a scroll. I just tilt my head at him. He see's this and explains. "Twilight usually has a urgent message to send, so I'm always on top of it." Hey says as he burns the scroll. I go to ask why he did that but Twilight cuts me off now.
"Wolf explain what is going on now." She seethes out of her mouth while on fire. O boy she mad.
"I caught Selene spying on Applejack's farm so I captured her and found out she was a former member of the diamond dog legion which, are the people who tried to enslave the ponies I saved." I calmly say slowly backing up away from her. "I can't deal with her now since I'm to overwhelmed with tasks." I say as I bump into Selene who was backed into a wall. "Now please turn the fire off."
Twilight takes a deep breath in and out while she puts herself out. "Okay. Why is she naked?" She asks.
I go to talk but Selene beats me to it. "I had no clothes and plus it's easier to mate naked." She says back to her old self. Twilight blushes and starts stuttering while Spike goes into the kitchen mumbling something about tea.
Selene and I walk up to Twilight and I wave my hand in her face. "Great Selene you broke her." I say still waving my hand in her face.
Selene pouts and starts poking her. "It's not my fault she weak." She says. A minute goes by and we are both stopped by a blinding light.
"We came as fast as we could Ranger Wolf." I think I hear Celestia say.
"Yes we have come for the dog." Luna says as my vision returns to me. I can see both Luna and Celestia staring down Selene. Better speak up.
"Ma'am" I say saluting them. "Selene was a former legion member who escaped and has given me vital information." I say standing tall and still holding my salute. They both walk over to us while Twilight still stutters.
Luna walks up to me and Selene while Celestia nuzzles Twilight. "Twilight calm down my faithful student." She says.
Twilight snaps out of it and nuzzles her back. "I did it again didn't I?" She asks.
"Yes you did." Celestia says as she gives her a warm smile.
"Sister we are very busy if you would take Selene with you while I go with Wolf." Luna says as I start to struggle to stand at attention.
Celestia sighs and walks over to Selene. "Sorry Twilight but duty calls. Ready Selene?" Celestia asks Selene with that smug smile that is the sign of a troll.
"Why we leave my ma....." Selene tried to say but they both vanished in a flash of light.
Luna looks at me. "At ease Wolf." I lower my salute but still stand firmly. "I am here to take a look at the situation." Luna says as she heads out the door. "Bye Twilight and hurry along Wolf. We have much to do." I look at Twilight who is still confused and just wave goodbye. She returns it as I head out with Luna.
Me and Luna walk in town for a few minutes than she speaks up. "How is the situation Wolf?" She asks as she nods at the ponies bowing down for her.
"Not good ma'am. From what it seems like the legion is setting up camp to raid the village." I say as I walk a few steps behind her. Ponies still bow as we pass them.
"Worry not Wolf I'm staying here to take control and command the attack." Luna says as we walk out of town. I'm panting a little as we reach the edge. She's my height but with her four legs she can really move fast. I've been almost jogging to keep pace with her.
"Just the two of us ma'am/" I ask her.
"Nah. Sorry I forgot to tell you of the troops coming with us." Luna says as we leave town. "The plan is to have you scout for a few days while I stay here and slowly move troops in." She says.
We walk in silence for a few moments before I speak up. "I'm assuming you and the troops will be staying at the house?"
Luna nods her head. "Yes. Sister and me thought it would be a good idea to have me here and the yard is big enough to hold the troops." We walk threw the front gate in silence. "I know you just got here and the house isn't ready but we must act quick." Luna says as we reach the front door.
"You can stay in the master bedroom ma'am." I say as I open the door for her.
She smiles at me. "If that is what you wish Ranger." Luna says as she walks in. I follow after her only to run into a stern faced Swift. I knew I forgot about something.

Sorry for not updating last Thursday but life and weather got in the way. And for the weekend it was spent gasping at the Tv. What a great time to be an American........
When Life Gives you Enemies
Location Ponnyville.
Opening the door to a stern faced Swift is something I never want to happen in my life again. Felt like a kid about to be scolded for eating a Fancy Lad Snack cake before dinner. Luna looks at me than back to Swift.
Luna gives me a big smile. "Well I'll be in the office while you talk out your lover's quarrel." She says giggling as she enters the office, Closing the door behind her.
Swift quickly blushes and looks at the door. "Wait what?" She asks.
I enter the house and close the door. "Just ignore her for now. It seems like you want to talk." I say as I start to head up the stairs.
Swift quickly shakes her head and follows after me. "Yes we need to talk about Misty." Swift says.
We both walk into the master bedroom where I close the doors. "What about Misty?" I ask coldly as I sit on the bed.
Swift walks up to me. "Well like it or not your her adopted father now. Your going to have to start making calls for her." She says as she sits next to me on the bed. She looks at me with those big brown eyes.
I look back at her. "I know but I have no idea what the hell to do. I'm the loner, the outcast, I've never had to be the father or care for some one that much." I sigh. "I'm a soldier. Even in a new world." I'm now just blankly starring at Swift.
Swift shuffles nervously under my helmets stare. "Well you have me here to help." I go to retort but she stops me. "I know what your about to say, but I care for her to, even with the little amount of time I spent with her." She looks up at me with a face of determination. "So we'll raise her together." She says proudly than quickly blushes.
I laugh "When than mother of my child what should we do first." I say poking fun at her.
Swift gives me a thoughtful look. "Well get her ready for school and make sure she properly sets her room up." Swift says hopping off the bed and starts to pace whispering to herself.
I shake my head at her than get up to leave. "I have to go talk to Luna. Make a list that we can go over." I open the door than look at her. She stops pacing and looks at me. "This is going to sound horrible and morbid but I have to say it."
Swift walks up to me with a look of worry. "I don't think I'll like hearing this." She says.
I look down at her. "Like I said I'm a soldier. We don't always make it back." I kneel down to her level at put a hand on her shoulder. "It'll be just you and Misty than. She'll be a wreck so you'll have to be the strong one for her." I say as I stand back up.
Swift gives me a determined nod. I nod back and leave to go talk to Luna. The fact I calmly said that is proof enough that I've become a different person. I walk down the stairs to the office. Great I wonder how Misty will turn out than. I enter the office to see Luna over looking a map.
"Ah Wolf. Done with your lover's spat than?" Luna asks with a cheeky smile.
I walk in and close the door. "Yeah and the make up sex was great, you should try it sometimes." I blurt out. Great I'm dead now.
Luna laughs a hearty laugh. "It's good to have a sense of humor before a battle, keeps your mind out of the dark area." Luna says as she goes back to looking over the map.
I look at her. "Can you tell me more about this legion. Its has a lot of similarities to the one I fought." I say. Time to see if this enemy will be like the old one.
Luna hums. "Hmmmm. Well It started off as a Diamond dog clan that was big enough to take over another clan, so they did and than continued to do it." She says as she draws a line on the map. "We can stage here, enough room to get the troops ready." Luna says as she points to a flat field before the forest.
I nod my head. "They grew to fast just like Caesar." I say as I draw a line in the forest. "A path of least Resistance, you could easily move troops there but it'll be guarded."
Luna nods here head "We'll attack from the air with Threstals and Pegasuses. That'll shake them up enough for our troops to go in." Luna says as she starts writing down numbers. "Precisely. They grew to fast and it brought them into contact with our ponies. They just stole supplies at first but they had to many troops and not enough working."
"So they turn to slavery as a way to survive and start taking slaves on raids." I'm going to love killing them than. I point to a pathway into the camp. "They use that pathway to go get supplies from deeper in the forest. I'll take some ponies around and flank them." I say.
Luna nods her head. "And that leads us to here where they are now, amassing for a raid on ponnyville."
"Well we'll wipe them out than." I say as I step over to the window.
Luna walks up to the window and looks out to. "I'd like some alive. But If I've learned anything from being over a thousand years old and fighting countless battles is that enemies like the legion are always cut down by the victim race." Luna says as she looks up into the sky. After a while of silence Luna looks at me. "Ponies like you Wolf are always rare. Hiding your emotions is not something ponies easily do. You are a pony that shows kindness to those who deserve it and no mercy to those who you consider your enemies."
I think about that for a while. "The wasteland is an awful place with nothing but the bad. Guess I try to be the good." I say as I see chariots start flying in.
Luna looks back out the window. "We can talk more about this after we get rid of the legion." Luna says as she heads outside. "For now we meet the troops."

So yeah rusty so here ya go. Where has this story been? Went on vacation in the summer came back got really sick, Still sick but not as bad so thought I come back to writing. But yeah not the best.
