A security contractor dies, makes a wish, and is transported to a world he could never imagine.

After being assigned to a simple contract escorting a US State Department Rep through hostile Afghanistan, John Marshall is shot and killed by an enemy combatant. Experiencing subconscious delusions, he makes a wish upon a falling star. A wish to leave the planet he grew up on and start a new life in a more peaceful place. Before he knows whats happening, he's thrown into a world where humans don't even exist in the first place: Equestria.
Hurt and confused, John must learn to trust these "ponies" or die. Can he, a product of the violence only too abundant in his world, learn to live in this bright new one? After all... he wished for it.

This will be a good sized fic by the time I'm finished. May even make it a series depending on how well its received.
